OKAY!!! The hook goes "i'll believe it when I see it", I had the lyrics wrong so I updated them and YES like @percosim said it was from an early 00s mixtape I bought from some guy on the corner in Chicago. I am NEVER going to find this fucking song and now I'm gonna cry.

I have had a song stuck in my head for three days and each day I remember more and more of the lyrics.

I have sang into my phone and google is obviously racist and can't recognize soul music.

The song is *maybe* from the early to middle 00s. Its a Black male r&b singer and I swear its Dave Hollister but I've been through his entire discography this morning.
