(Na)Talia: screw you she's real and i love her. had a lot of free reign since the only detail Mischa mentions is her hair (which i had to google lol). Talia is my absolute favourite rtc song so i wanted to keep the flowey skirts from the 2016 choreography but gave her a bit of an edge because she canonically listens to (and presumably enjoys) rap

He was an Email Addison. You see it everywhere. He was like a mailman or something.

Addisons are like weird organic robots kinda. Cause everything in cyber city is made of code i imagine they are like basically sentient AI.

They (addisons) physically do not age unless their code is damaged. (Guess who's code is fucked up) They were "born" physically and half-mentally adults, and count their age based on their manufacturing date. I say mentally half because it quickly develops soon after while they do things like advertise. Their personality develops a time after.

HE IS OLD!!!!!!! HE'S AN OLD GUY!! HES GOT LITTLE WRINKLES N SHIT!!! HES GOT A GREY STRIPE!!!!!! Not really because of physical aging but its more of like a glitch tbh lol. Like a chunk glitch in minecraft. Whatever happened as his code got progressively more beat up caused a patch of his hair to register incorrectly and show up slightly wrong.

His hair is natrually white. He dyed it in his big shot era ofc, but it faded out. He keeps it colored currently with car oil and shit. Whatever he can find that will color it. It will and does wash out partially when he's drenched in the rain.

He completely refuses to acknowledge his physical changes. Glimpses he sees he ignores or passes it off as he's seeing things.

He prayed to the Neo robot because he saw the beginning of puppetification. He was praying for forgiveness or another chance. He believed it was a divine punishment because he had no other explination. He doesnt believe he changed much more than the very very early stages, and he thinks he's forgiven in his delusion. Which is why he wants the robot so bad.

When he gets mad he turns kinda red and steam comes out the side of his head in short bursts, train whistle sound effects and all. looney tunes type junk.

He has lips... but they're stretched so far because of his huge fucking brick ass teeth that it doesnt really matter at that point.

He's got a scraggly ass mullet.

he has little bitty dot eyes. Every other addison does too but they keep them closed for visual appeal. Theyre robots and shit they dont really need them to get around, even though they help a lot.

I meant to post these yesterday (between the anniversaries of ZTD's Japanese & NA/EU releases), but Eric was giving me trouble still. D-Team honestly has the least offensive designs, so I'll save them for another time. Under the cut is all my commentary on them, including more thought process stuff.

Carlos:

Square-ish design language

The concept art mentioned specifically his broad shoulders, so I tried to make them a little broader than I would on average, though I think I tend towards drawing my characters a little broad-shouldered naturally.

varsity jacket instead of button-down, emphasize "jock" attributes

Canon Carlos kind of looks like a surfer dude. I still wanted to make him look sporty, but in a different way.

kept axe on breast pocket

I think it was a good move for the team to change this one. I like the symbol.

kept burn scarring

I feel as though the burn scarring is less likely to be from his job and more likely to be from when he saved Maria, since he wouldn't have been wearing gear at that time. But I liked the idea, so I kept it.

Junpei:

giving him the emo mullet he deserves

I think with his general self-neglect the fact that his hair is shorter in ZTD than it is in 999 is wild.

I did keep his hair being a purple-black bc I like that :)

put a design on his shirt to make it less plain, so even if you do rob him of his leather jacket he doesn't look boring

Akane:

in the actual game her dress is really close to her skin tone so it blends in. it's still close but not as bad. and it being a turtleneck mitigates those issues mostly

she's wearing platform boots now

I also gave her the River Patented Loose Strand of Hair because I can't draw an Akane without it

both Junpei and Akane:

so I decided to put both of them on the same canvas and work on them in tandem because I like the light/dark contrast they have going on in ZTD as well as the detail that in 999 Akane is purple and Junpei is red & blue

if you look at Junpei the red & blue is still there, just darker and duller

Sean:

honestly I really like the components of his design individually but the desaturation of the colors makes him not interesting to look at past the helmet

the stripes on his shirt were originally blue I think but they're orange here so that the sneakers look less out of place

Eric:

was REALLY hard to work with

like, I have four different versions of this saved, that are all the same base but slightly different

I really liked the note on his concept art where the artist wanted to make his shoulders asymmetric, and wanted to take that asymmetry idea to the next level

I made him blue to contrast with Mira's red

I also wanted to keep the "just some guy" energy, so he is still a Guy In a Shirt, but executed differently and with more color

the orange is because his canon color scheme includes it

I love your Sam & Max Miraculous AU, I hope to see more in the future. Can you add Flint Paper in it? If so, what would you do with him? He's an ally/friend of Sam & Max.

I imagine that, for the most part, Flint Paper in this au is basically the same as he is in the original Sam and Max media, with the caveat of him being a college kid like the majority of the rest of the cast. He’s either their roommate or their neighbor, but either way they probably share a communal kitchen. He’s COOL. He’s in college, but not like, INVESTED in it, and he’s been doing a lot of like, vigilante stuff on the side despite not having any powers. His family probably comes from money, so it’s not like he has to worry about scholarships like Sam does or employment like Max does, and he tends to blow off his classes a lot to go fight monsters with his bare hands. This results in a sort of mutual idolization between Flint Paper and Sam&Max, in a pattern that almost mimics the Love Square?

He’s probably a film student, if only because he reminds me of some film students I knew back in college? He’s got the dramatics for it, and I assume he could use knowledge of practical effects and stunt man techniques for vigilante purposes. Who knows, maybe he even films his encounters and turns in the resulting footage for homework, Peter Parker style.

Eventually, he does get to use the Miraculous, but it’s very mid-late-game, and even then he doesn’t really have a single one that’s HIS (at least, not at first). Sam and Max might trust Flint Paper, but the Commissioner thinks he’s just a violent wild card, so he doesn’t get a permanent one like the rest of the cast. But Sam and Max both like him enough that they’re both thinking of him whenever they need a helping hand, so he ends up using a lot of different powers. He usually ends up with a sort of, like, Tom of Finland/DCAU Superhero aesthetic to his outfits whenever he gets a miraculous, and he’s gonna try fighting the monsters wether he has powers or not, soooo.

(If this was a show that sold toys like Miraculous does, Flint Paper would be the mold that the company reuses for EVERYTHING, and his designs in the show would reflect that. All his superhero designs are pretty much unimaginative reskins of each other, which is both cost effective and ENTIRELY in-character.) (He eventually - EVENTUALLY - ends up with the Ox Miraculous as his default, just cuz that’s the one he’s best at using.) (I’ll draw a buncha his superhero outfits later don’t worry lol)

Oh yeah and he’s also Not Straight. Like. You will see him unironically hitting up the gay bar, and leaving for an evening of no-strings-attached fun with a twink on one arm and a drop-dead Gorgeous drag queen on the other. Just a few thoughts on the Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life character design updates!

Okay so let’s start off on a good note:

Honestly she looks great

Her design was already pretty flawless, and it translated well to the updated art style

Honestly not bad! I also don’t mind her new name 

With Molly though (and with one other resident that I’ll get to later) I like the ART of her more then the actual character model?

It’s a very nitpicky thing, but I feel like her hair lost a lot of the volume it had in the original game. It looks a lot wispier, and I prefer how thick it used to look.

Other then that though, she looks great. I like the small changes to her outfit a lot

I actually like this design even more then her original one!

I like that they made her look more tomboyish to contrast just how feminine all the other romance options are

Her old design was also very good, but it was very much of it’s time. This one feels a little more timeless imo

I wonder what her new english name is going to be? I don’t think I’ve seen it anywhere yet

Like Celia, they didn’t change her look too much because it was already really good!

I like that they made her look older and taller, while still making her look younger then other marriage candidates; that’s a pretty important part of Lumina’s character overall.

Her older design also looks very nice!

I also don’t think we’ve seen her new english name either! I wonder what it’ll be? Maybe Luna? Maybe they’ll just keep her japanese name, which is Leona.

OKAY now we’re getting into the weeds a little more

Honestly I don’t MIND this one so much? I mainly miss his big nose and witch hat, which I think they could have incorporated more into the new design. But it could have been worse!

However, just like Molly I don’t like his in game model as much as I like his art! He looks EVEN more cleaned up then he does here and I really don’t like the eyes they gave him! 

Yeah, you probably aren’t gonna see them that much, but you can see them when he’s in profile! And I don’t like them!

They’re like the narrower, sexy anime eyes. But I feel like Gustafa should have either rounder, friendlier eyes or just have them be constantly closed in a 😊 type expression

Now for me, Matthew is the opposite of Molly and Gustafa where I actually like his in game model MORE then his art!

I feel like his in game model better captures the old Marlin energy, especially his expression. He also has a longer chin then his art does, which is reminiscent of his old design. See?

That doesn’t mean it’s perfect however; I really wish they’d kept his hair a lot closer to his original design. Like I guess I can understand loosing the mullet, but I wish they’d kept it curlier and darker

It’s also throwing me off that he looks so much skinnier for some reason? Though that’s an element of all the new designs, for some reason it’s throwing me more with him. That might just be a me thing though

Tbh, I’ve actually thought most of the bachelor designs in the last like... TWO Story of Seasons games have been sooooo bland looking. Trio of Towns was the last game where there was some interesting guys, but I thought both the redesigns of the bachelors in the Friends of Mineral Town and the designs of the bachelors in Pioneers of Olive Town were so forgettable (ESPECIALLY compared to the girls, who have continued to be very cute and unique!)

That’s it for the marriage candidates we’ve seen so far! I don’t know if we’ll get any more (it looks like Flora’s being confirmed as non-romancable; though who knows, we might get some DLC later or something that changes that! And I wouldn’t be surprised if they brought in new characters entirely like they did with FoMT) I don’t have many thoughts on the other villagers since they didn’t have any major changes, but I think they’re all looking really good for the most part!

On the few that did get a few updates, here’s just a few thoughts on them!

Vesta looks pretty good! I do miss her apron, I think it had a little more personality then the vest she’s got on now, but it’s fine. I’m glad they kept her buff and with giant head

I do also think Hugh was cuter as a kid in the chubbier artstyle, I wish they’d kept that

Chris’s pantsuit is ADORABLE and works a lot better then her old pencil skirt

I DIDN’T REALIZE TEI HAD A MUSTACHE. In the original art I thought he just had a really big mouth! I’m glad I can see the mustache better in the new design LOL

I ALMOST FORGOT PUI. I know a lot of people don’t like his ��glow up” but I honestly don’t mind it, I think it looks cute! He’s not a character I really have a strong opinion on lol

The main characters look great! I know there’s gonna be character customization options, but I don’t know if I’ll have the heart to change them from their defaults; I’m too nostalgically attached to them!

- asexual, pan-romantic!

- uses they/he pronouns (didn’t know they could have different pronouns until he met tokoyami, and they spent their entire first year having a crisis over it)

- i know it’s old and overused but this kid is a hufflepuff, through and through

- CHILD OF APHRODITE. i take no criticism.

- a heartthrob among his entire grade, not just class A, but B as well, and the general course, and the business course,, AND the support course. everyone loves sero hanta.

- a natural charmer but is literally not aware that they make everyone within a 400 meter radius of them swoon

- until kaminari tells him in their second year. homie. youre fucking hot. and mina says, use it to your advantage. SO HE DOES.

- third year sero hanta is a force to be reckoned with, let me tell you. using their charm along with their natural ability to just. Befriend anyone (including a brick WALL tbh) to get his way. they get their way, they Know Everything. everyone knows his name by the time he graduates.

- The Older Sibling friend. not quite the mom friend or even the dad friend, but the older sibling. he’s a constant source of comfort and dependability among his class, but theyre also an agent of chaos that likes to cause problems On Purpose just to see what’ll happen. they never get caught being the instigator tho. no one can ever catch him.

- likes to watch aforementioned chaos from the sidelines. a mediator and an excellent negotiator. keeps his friends (cough, bakugo) from murdering each other or other people (cough, monoma)

- i like to think he’s the eldest child with two or three younger sisters and maybe a baby brother. their parents divorced right before sero started high school, and he and his siblings live with their mom. she’s a real lovely lady.

- since he’s the eldest, he kinda knows how to take care of people. sick people, sad people, hungry people. they can read and understand people really well if they really matter to him.

- most of the time there’s just wii music in their head tho

- they weren’t super great at prioritizing themselves/taking care of themselves when he first moved in to the dorms, but with time and help from his friends, they keep getting better at it

- sero gets his looks from his dad and his attitude from his mother. again, i imagine she’s a real lovely lady.

- their love language is physical touch! with so many younger siblings and his natural Eldest Sibling Vibe, it’s only natural for him to be super cuddly and affectionate!

- while it may not be their love language, sero also probably really likes spending quality time with his friends. they like going out, they like being loud and having a blast, but the kid also wouldn’t mind sitting in his room with his friends in silence while everyone did their own individual thing.

- the kind of person that sleeps with one pillow only and one blanket only

- probably runs warm, kicks off the blanket in the summer time. either sleeps on his back stretched out like a starfish or curled into themselves like a baby. no in between.

- has a pair of underwear they call their “lucky underwear” and it’s just a pair with spider-man’s face as the pattern.

- the kid does not have regular chairs in his dorm. it’s bean bags or the floor, man.

- had a huge growth spurt the summer after second year began. it pissed off all their friends because he finally passed 6’ while the others were still stuck at 5’9 or below.

- by graduation, sero reached 6’3, and bakugo was still mad, because bakugo never passed 5’10.

- really grew into himself by the end of high school, finally learning how they wanted to express themselves with his clothing style, hair and *clenches fist* piercings

- started painting his nails the summer before their third year and hasnt stopped

- glorious, curly mullet. bejeweled hair pins. jean jackets and platform docs. piercings all the way up his ears. a nose ring and a smiley. (if you don’t know what a smiley is, i beg you to search it up. it’s the cutest fucking thing i’ve ever seen in my life and i want one so bad)

- ochaco is the one who cuts sero’s hair in third year.

- he got most of his piercings alongside bakugo or kaminari, but when they went to get the nose ring, they’d gone with iida and midoriya. and when he got the smiley, he went with todoroki, who squeezed his hand when the needle went through, even if todoroki wasn’t the one getting pierced.

- one time he and denki shaved their legs and arms and Everything to see if it would make them “more aerodynamic�� ( “haha dont u mean /sero/dynamic?” “shut up”)

- strangely flexible. everywhere. it makes shouji shiver and jirou gag. it makes todoroki stare with wide, disbelieving eyes.

- really bad handwriting. like. what the fuck.

- that doesn’t stop them from writing cards for each of his friends for their birthdays, for christmas. it doesn’t stop them from writing letters to todoroki (even if he ended up shredding them and throwing them away after they were finished so no one would ever find them. he wanted to ask bakugo to incinerate them, just to be safe, but they didn’t want bakugo, or anyone else, that he had written love letters to shouto todoroki.)

(....not until after they confessed and finally started dating in their third year.)

- is a surprisingly good dancer and a passable singer!!!!!!!!

- sings in the shower. also dances in the shower, but one time they fell and hit the wall connecting his and todoroki’s room, and todoroki thought he might’ve died. came to his door and didn’t bother knocking to check and see if they were alright. sero didn’t dance in the shower for a long time after that.

- his favorite color is yellow, but they also really, really like red.

- doesn’t have a fucking phone case on their phone.

- earbuds falling apart but he just keeps putting more tape over them because they really don’t wanna buy new ones (kirishima bought him a pair for christmas because he didn’t want sero to get electrocuted from broken earbuds. sero ensured him he would likely not get electrocuted just from some earbuds, but took the gift anyway)

- smell checks their clothes like a HEATHEN

- is in love with shouto todoroki.

Firstly, thank you for the compliments; and yes anon, you would be correct, femby Nico is something I'm so down for:

So originally Nico doesn't know he's trans, he doesn't even know the word trans exists

He's one of those people who is like "most people don't care about gender it's not a big deal it doesn't matter" and he's quite confused when people enforce rules based off of sex/gender

He's stands there going, "okay?? but it doesn't matter?? it's not real??"

Gender just straight up confuses him

Anyhow, I think Nico definitly gets his further slightly more in depth explaination of queerness from Will, and Will is like "yeah then trans people-" or maybe Will is trans and tells him after they've been dating a short while

Either way Nico is like "oh, that's cool!"

Anyhow Nico doesn't really think about it for a long time, and kind of carries on without thinking about gender much.

If Will is trans in this as well, then Nico learns more about himself through learning about Will's gender... But if Will's not trans then maybe Nico finds out Lou Ellen is trans (I have a whole bunch of trans Lou Ellen and trans Will headcanons I need to write with Cecil too)

Anyhow basically Nico knows someone who's trans and there's a conversation of gender at some point where Nico's like "but gender isn't real?" or something similoar because he just doesn't understand the idea of feeling male or feeling female, it confuses him

So eventually he has a conversation with some friends who are cis, and he realizes that even they know they're a boy or girl, and so Nico is confused because "why does everyone have this figured out?"

So he starts asking more questions, and finds out about nonbinary and he gets nervous because he knows Will likes boys, but what if Will won't like him anymore because he's not 100% a guy

So he does eventually work up the courage to tell Will how he might be feeling and Will is super chill about the whole thing and he's like "Nico I like boys and girls, and most of all I like you" and Nico's happy because Will isn't going to break up with him

Anyhow they have a long conversation where Willl is like "please don't worry about coming to me with stuff I love you very much okay?"

Eventually Nico begins to try out different pronouns but just when alone with Will because he's not comfortable telling everyone yet

He decides he likes he/him, but she/her is nice too, and he dables in xe/xem pronouns but he has mixed feelings on them

In my last trans Nico post I said Nico would like alternating pronouns but maybe I don't think so... I think he would tell people what pronouns he wanted when/what day or he would say "you can use he/him or she/her" or something

and some people would use one set, and some people the other, and some people would mix his pronouns

So Nico starts getting more involved in fashion around this point

Mitchell and him are friends and Mitchell's dad is a fashion designer so free stuff!

Anyhow Nico finds all of this stuff fun, and eventually one day she gets the courage to try a skirt on and it quickly becomes her favorite type of clothing

Nico likes to wear skirts with tights and combat boots

Nico also falls in love withe leggings because "they're just so soft!"

He never really comes out he kind of just chooses to live life and if people know or find out whatever

Like he'll be somewhere with Jason and someone would ask for her pronouns and she'd be like "he/him or she/her is fine" and Jason is getting whiplash from how fast he turned his head to look at Nico and Jason's stumbling over "he/him" while looking at Nico because he wants to say congrats so bad

Or maybe Will is like "my girlfriend" and Percy's like "you have a girlfriend too?" and Will's like "no??? I mean Nico??" and Percy is confused af because he didn't even know people could be gay until recently- but people can be trans too?

(Percy has his own gender questioning that happens, although a bit smaller and he decides he/they and that dresses and heels are fun)

So Nico's friends all eventually know but they just sort of find out rather than a big coming out (this is how they all found out Nico was gay too, Nico was like “yeah so me and Will Solace are dating” or “my boyfriend” because Nico has a hard time saying “I’m gay” or “I’m trans” so he finds ways around it to make himself more comfortable).

Nico struggles a little bit with the concept, not as much as he did with being gay but there’s still obsticales there for him to overcome

When Hades finds out he’s just like “mhmm good for you okay love you… daughter?” and that makes Nico happy because he’s still trying to be a good dad

Anyhow immediately after Nico leaves Hades runs to find Dionysus or Apollo and is like “trans what does it mean? Daughter was the correct word right? I’m sorry tucking is what now??”

He’s confused af but also supportive af

“Nobody says that about my son-err daughter?”

“Both are fine, Papa”

And Will and Reyna are in the background silently giving Hades thumbs ups

Sometimes Hades buys Nico weird shit and is like “it’s for your gender” and Nico doesn’t need the stuff but his dad cares so she appreciates it

Dionysus is super chill about the whole thing when he hears it through the grapevine (ha!) and he’s like “new name or same one kid?”

Nico’s like “oh um, same name, just new pronouns”

And Dionysus is like “great sit your ass down you have therapy to do”

(Dionysus always gets trans kids name right and never even jokingly messes it up so he always asks)

Also, Nico loves little hair clips, you know the little ones that tik tokers wear? Yeah those he has hundreds of them!

Cloth headbands are also her best friend, she has so many of them… (they’re like square cloth pieces you tie and wrap a specific way and roll your hair around it… I don’t know the right word they were popular in the 50s)

Nico ends up growing out his hair because he likes being able to put it in a messy bun on top of his head and he likes having it in braids down his back too

She learns to do makeup from Hazel (Hazel had a makeup face and likes kpop I don’t take criticism on that) and it looks great tbh

Also in public all the time when people see Nico they’re like “Boy? Girl?”

And he’s like “yeah both is good, but also neither, I have all the genders and also no gender”

And Will’s standing in the background laughing his ass off at the confused look the cashier has on their face

Just imagine Nico and Will’s kids calling Nico both Mama and Papa interchangeably ~

She does end up changing her name from Nicolò to just Nico because Nico is gender neutral

So much jewelry… so much of it, Nico loves it

Nico ends up getting a leather jacket with “give us our roses while we’re here” printed/painted on the back of it and little roses built into the actual jacket as well

Nico always seems to have some new hair length going on, like sometimes her hair is down to her waist, sometimes it’s at her shoulders, and other times she has a mullet, while other times she has an eboy cut

He ends up dying his hair all the time, at first he does gold and silver highlights in really small spots so it looks like his hair sparkles with glitter when he moves

After that Nico does half of her head in blonde and the other side in black like a split down the middle type dye

And he ends up drying his hair a swirled blue and pink color as well when it’s short

When he grows his hair out long, he dyes it with the little egirl dye in the front

She also does that thing where you have a rainbow under your hair and a normal color on top

Nico gets an undercut at one point where she leaves enough in the center top to put it up in a bun or leave it down to her shoulders

He dies his hair a blue-green one time while lit’s long too and Will gets an ombre at the same time using his natural blonde and a bubble gum pink in his like “bangs” area (Will has like a halo of pink hair when he does that dye)

And yeah idk I’m out of ideas but nonbinary Nico is great actually

SnK Scouts/Veterans as Health Care Workers

Note: features Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Sasha, Levi, Erwin and Hange. A part two to my “SnK Warriors as HCWs” post found here. warning: mentions of blood, trauma, gore (it’s healthcare). Also, I know Hange is nb, I headcanon them as female, so I will be using she/her pronouns. 

Eren: this boy is definitely too involved in everything and has too many people depending on him at once to not be a nurse. The kid barely passed the NCLEX but that didn’t stop him from applying to every trauma center within a 25 mile radius of him. He got hired as a night shift trauma ICU nurse  and he frequently picks up shifts in the ER. He wears the cheapest scrubs he can find, often stained with ink in the pockets area. He isn’t a shitty nurse per se but there are tasks that still need to be done at the end of his shift and he gives a crappy report that’s missing too many details. Nurses hate picking up his patients, it’s always a mess. His charting is really spotty and he gets called into the manager’s office all the time to fix it. 

Still, he tries really hard to improve his time management and skills. He wants to be like his friends Mikasa and Reiner, who are the best nurses he knows. He wants to be involved in the traumatic cases and emergencies because he wants to learn as much as he possibly can. He’s really good at wound care, for some reason (hint hint). He’s kinda cocky sometimes too, which can be troublesome when Dr. Galliard is working. People know to steer clear of those two when they’re both  in the ER. Also, Eren always has a black cloud around him; whenever he works it’s gonna be a hella busy day in the hospital. Lots of emergency surgeries, intubations, codes and deaths. He’ll always jump in to help you if your patient is crashing, though, no matter how busy he is. 

Mikasa: she’s a prodigy. She was a straight ‘A’ student in nursing school, got a perfect 75 on the NCLEX and was immediately hired to the trauma ICU after doing a short internship there. She worked night shift for a year but her sleep schedule was so so fucked she started having night terrors, so she switched to day shift. Eren still calls her a traitor for it :/. She keeps trying to get him to switch over but he just hisses at her and threatens to chug a case of Monster energy drinks. She hasn’t given upon him yet, though.

This girl’s work ethic is beyond measure. She comes in exactly at 6:30 am, looks up her patients, takes report, gives a great update to the doctors when they round, and provides impeccable care to her patients. She knows exactly which treatments the doctors will order before they even speak. She’s incredible at inserting IVs--everyone in the hospital knows Mikasa Ackerman can put an 18g in a 90  yr old lady’s arm AND get blood return (just trust me, it’s flipping impossible). She has great skill when it comes to emergency situations and is a big believer in team work. If she notices your patient’s crashing and you don’t know what to do, she’ll calmly coach you and save your patient, too. All before lunch time. 

It doesn’t take Mikasa long to be promoted to charge nurse. When she’s in charge all the reports, paperwork and audits are completed before shift change. She divides the patient assignments really well and is very fair to the new grads. All around she’s an incredible nurse and leader on her unit, but don’t be fooled. If it’s been a rough day, Mikasa will get in her car and sob so loud her throat goes raw. A lot of people depend on her and working in a trauma ICU is really, really demanding. A lot of patients are demanding, rude and busy. She has a lot of trouble with stress management and is thinking of cutting her hours down so she can catch a break. Someone please hug her <3

Armin: for some reason my brain is just SCREAMING respiratory therapist. Like, I imagine this beautiful blond boy in gray scrubs (the color for RT’s in my hospital) going around helping intubate patients, giving nebulizer treatments and doing blood gases. I can just see him huffing and puffing when the attending doctor is overzealous about weaning vent support. -“Why are we changing the patient to pressure support? do you see how tachypneic he is on volume control?”

-“are you gonna put in the order? if not, your patient’s gonna be on PRVC all day, I’m not changing it without an order”

-“Doc, the patient looks like crap and their blood gas looks like death...oh, you still wanna extubate? ok, well I’m gonna leave the ventilator in here just in case. better yet, let me call a pastor in here, too.”

This kid is sassy af and he knows it. He’s smart af too, knows everything there is to know about the lungs and respiratory care. Knows every ventilator mode better than most doctors. Will certainly tell a resident off for ordering the wrong type of inhaler for a patient. He’s so damn intelligent that he even made the ice queen Annie melt like a popsicle. 

 He has no chill when it comes to his patients and even less chill (like -4078875874670) when a doctor gets in his way. For this reason, Armin has recently been toying with the idea of going to PA school so he can have a little more autonomy. He works al over the hospital, usually frequenting the trauma, CV, and medical ICU. The nurses there love him. 

Jean: Jeannie boy. Baby. Sweetie. He’s also a nurse. He is strictly dayshift and trauma. When he first started, he thought he’d do a year in the ICU and then go to CRNA school. He didn’t want to be around sickly patients with hopes and dreams and fears--it was too icky for him. But, over time, he learned that he LOVED trauma. Jean loves the controlled chaos that comes with the ugly, bloody messes that roll in through the ICU’s doors. He always gears up for trauma season (summer time) by bringing Dunkin Donuts iced coffee for everyone on the unit (day and night shift because he’s a supportive king). He gets really good at dealing with arrogant trauma residents and ortho docs who think they’re hot shit. When Jean sees a resident yelling at a nurse, he jumps in and threatens to have their license revoked. He will dig under their skin and page them incessantly throughout the day, too, just to get back at them. Jean is not a fan of lateral violence in the workplace, no sir. 

He always, always makes sure every room is stocked and new bags are hanging for the next shift. He has a thing where if things aren’t properly organized on the unit his brain just spazzes. He’s on the unit council and education committee because he also loves to teach the new grads. He also doubles as charge nurse, when management can’t be there (there can be one or more charge nurses amongst the staff, they usually work different days, though) He and Mikasa work so well together, teaming up to get tasks done, coding patients, running them down to get scanned, etc. People joke they’re the mom and dad of the unit. It makes them both blush <3 (Eren doesn’t like it, lol)

Jean loves to see patients healing from horrendous injuries, he’s constantly cracking jokes with the awake patients to try to make them feel better, and he’s really good at calming anxious family members down. Our boy just makes such good connections with people. He’s the guy you call when your confused patient is one second away from ripping his breathing tube out. He can convince the most restless, agitated patient to chill out. He’s got the voice for it. Also people love his mullet. It looks great. 

Connie: I really didn’t know at first but I feel like Connie would make a great physical therapist. He’s got great energy, he’s funny and I could see him dancing to Earth, Wind & Fire in front of his patients to hype them up for therapy. He’d be very sweet with them 

Sasha: I’m sick and tired of the food jokes, quite honestly. She’s more than that. In my mind, she’s an occupational therapist, helping disabled patients learn to feed, dress and clean themselves again. She works directly with Connie as they round on all their patients in the hospital, they make a great team!  She’s extremely patient and would make a very good nurse, but is unsure of where life is taking her. That is until she meets Niccolo the dietician in the cafeteria, and she falls hard. He encourages her to follow her heart and she does!  

Levi: Hm. This one stumped me. Levi is a bit...cold. It’s not like he has incredible social skills. He’s meticulous and focused and kinda mean? He reminds me of an anesthesiologist, tbh. Like he’ll sedate the shit outta you for surgery, makes sure you don’t die on the table, and then drops you off to the unit as fast as he can. He never takes off his mask while in the hospital and he scrubs maybe four times before surgery. He is very good at medication calculations and knows everything about nerve blocks, intubation, pain medication and sedation. He can look at a person and just KNOW what kind of sedative to give and how much. Your blood pressure will never bottom out while he’s there, he’ll warn the surgeon and immediately get that norepinephrine started.

 If Zeke is the one operating, Levi is on his ass to finish up the surgery ASAP and to not linger, because Zeke takes his time and ignores the tele monitor alarming in the background. After surgery, this 5′2 demon will scream at the 6′ resident about the importance of blood pressure management and sedation in neurosurgical patients. Levi plays no games and he also just really hates Zeke lol

He seems like a jerk but genuinely cares about getting his peeps through surgery. His favorite surgeon to work with is Hange Zoe, because she’s brilliant and fast, but also cognizant of her patient’s hemodynamics. Levi likes taking trauma cases as long as it’s with her. When he drops a patient off to the trauma ICU or goes there to intubate, he makes sure Jean or Mikasa are there because he knows everything is gonna go smoothly. He trusts them a lot. He likes Armin, too and even let him intubate a few times. On his breaks, he’s drinking tea and reading a Williams & Sonoma catalog or scrolling through cleaning Tik Tok lol.

Erwin: This man. This beautiful and hunky beefcake. Omg. I HC him as someone who went to nursing school, became a charge nurse on the trauma unit back in the early 2000′s and fell in love with it. Erwin would eventually fall in love with leadership and educating, too. He went back to school and earned his Doctorate of Nursing Practice (a practice doctorate). He managed the trauma unit for ten years before his brilliant leadership skills and wicked smart brain got him elected as the Director of Trauma Surgery recently. He is the first person with a nursing degree and DNP to ever accomplish this, so it’s very controversial. A lot of toxic doctors threaten to leave the hospital for this (because they’re assholes), but Erwin threatens to fire them in response and it usually shuts them up. 

He often holds lectures in the hospital auditorium. With a mind and voice like his, people are so drawn in by him. He advocates for nursing staff, for reimbursement when continuing their education, better staffing, parking, etc. He makes nice with doctors and gets them to sign petitions for the nurses to get these things. He’s a bit manipulative He’s also a fantastic manager and director, he’s really good at negotiating things. The nurses and residents all love him because he rounds on every ICU frequently, brings food, and asks them how he can help. He can be a bit daunting because of his height and deep voice but once he starts talking to you, you just get sucked in. All around an absolute king. 

Hange: This character reminds me of a trauma surgeon and intensivist (ICU doctor) we have, Dr. Omi. A great surgeon, really really smart, but takes absolutely NO bullshit. She will yell at you if you freeze during intubating. She wants you to recite every step before you take it, otherwise she’ll take the tube from you and do it herself. In surgery, she’s the same way. She wants you to learn, but by her standards. If she asks a question, you better know the answer or fess up right away, she doesn’t like the “uhms” of uncertainty as you try to search for a shitty response. Either you know it or you don’t. And if you don’t, she’ll teach you. Yeah she can be rough around the edges, but she’s got a big heart. She loves her trauma team. She buys them breakfast and gives them funny personalized gifts. One time, she bought an apply tree for Mikasa and brought it to her car at the end of a shift. Mikasa forgot to plant it and it died in her backseat. Hange will sometimes ask, “Mikasa, how’s your apple tree growing?” and Mikasa will lie through her teeth. “It’s growing!” Fess up, Mikasa. Those google search apple trees are starting to look familiar.

All around Hange loves to work and teach. She is a wonderful trauma surgeon and has saved tons of lives.

2. Unpopular Paul opinion? Already a tough one... i may have several tbh. I can't really gauge what's popular and what's not because there are relatively diverse views on Paul within the Beatles fandom, so if any of these are popular, i apologize lol.

Musically, I will say that "Wild Honey Pie" is good and that i wish Paul wrote more music hall/jazzy/granny style music bc i do like that, but also i think his voice suits it.

In the Beatles lore/mythos and as a Person (from what we know), I will say that he uses (over?)working as a coping mechanism and it isn't something widely regarded as maladaptive because it's a trait that's often rewarded in capitalist society. Instead, this makes his work ethic a point of pride for him and one of admiration for his fans. Even when he isn't anxious, he's the sort to always feel the need to be "doing something" and I think this is why he didn't like the whole experience in Rishikesh; I think that, perhaps among other things, he didn't feel like they were really “doing anything.” In Get Back, he says that they “weren’t really themselves” there despite being there to “find themselves.” This dismissal of it indicates to me that at the time, he did not see the value in idle contemplation. This need to "do something" is only amplified in anxiety like when Brian died. Soon after that, he did the Magical Mystery Tour movie even tho the others weren't very keen on it. Whether this is actually maladaptive is something I can’t really parse because I’ll admit I don’t know enough about him, but I do think that as with the MMT situation, what he wants for the band isn’t always what the others want nor is it necessarily best. Not everyone feels the same about work and productivity. This is a uniquely “Paul” quality in comparison to the rest of the Beatles who all had far more self destructive tendencies. Honestly, I have more... questionable? Paul opinions to the point where I could get this ask multiple times and have an answer for it.

8.Single worst Beatle look? Sorry to bring him back into this, but I gotta say mullet Paul with the moustache was a low point. Like, they all had their bad looks no doubt, but holy shit. The mullet was already baffling because this is an attractive person making themselves ugly like that, but wow...He and linda looked like a couple you would meet at a swingers party or something.... ;/

12. What do you think of Yoko's art? ...Apologies to Yoko and John, but her art was better before him. Since I don’t really have thorough knowledge of her oeuvre, I can’t really speak to all of it, so this opinion really could change. Of course the work I’m most familiar with is Cut Piece which I think was genuinely quite interesting in how it challenges the relationship between artist, work and audience. I think that much of her art is very “of the time.” The Bed-In, while iconic, is something that in retrospect, can seem quite naive as its understanding of how violence, particularly war, occurs. There might be something to be said abt the perverse fascination and glorification of violence in media, but I’m not quite sure if this is the answer to it. I suppose my taste, at least in performance art, may be a bit more confrontational and aggressive than what Bed-In had to offer. It would also seem that their, or at least John’s opinion on peace and violence would change as he would later donate money to the IRA. In retrospect, it could be considered a bit misguided and naive, but I do think that this act was sincere (as opposed to strictly preformative) because giving material aid directly supports their praxis and it wasn’t terribly public either.

danny phantom season 2, ep 12-16 thoughts! these episodes, in comparison to the first 10 or so, felt way more laid back and low-stakes, which I appreciate sometimes. I didn't appreciate how lazy jack's halfa design was in masters of time, it made me so annoyed I redesigned it. 👎🏻 u_u

(which, fair assumption since they're considered 'ghost fanatics/nuts in canon...but...) why did she think jack or vlad would be her ONLY OPTIONS? be like your sister. be single. Actually, this au could’ve been really interesting if after the accident, vlad lied to her and said jack never wanted to see her again, but she stays single. Imagine how much that would bug vlad… like, in her mind, it was never a competition it was jack or no one type situation…

In terms of Jake trying too hard with his aesthetic, the same could be said literally about everyone including Sam and Colby, Kat, AND Tara. Have you seen pics of Sam and Colby in kansas and even when they moved out to L.A? Preppy. Kat kinda gave off like a tomboy look before like shed wear snapbacks and now shes a mix of trying to be edgy, or anime cutesy ( its the facial expressions)but sexy too much which is very on trend with ALL of these insta/tiktok girls right now. Tara in high school was the epitome of every girl in the early 2000s who was into Paris Hilton & the simple life i mean her room & car are pink. Even Xepher looked preppy in high school. I personally think peoples styles change and its not that they're trying too hard (Maybe they are unknowingly comforming to a popular style when really they are trying to stand out and be different) if you think of these styles like Punk or Emo or scene they were all about being extreme and dressing out of the ordinary anyway so its contradictory to tell someone who is now dressing like that that they are trying too hard to represent that style because of how "out of the ordinary" they are dressing when thats the point...hope i make sense.

People change, maybe it is a phase he'll grow out of, maybe its a form of self expression that will change once he gets his point across, or maybe without realizing he is acting just like every other person on the internet who claims to be different and an outcast🤷🏻. Also i haaaaate his hair.

i agree, everyone looked different a couple years back, especially since a lot of them were teenagers. i know for 1000% i looked different in high school. mostly bc i didn't like my body so i kinda just wore clothes that would cover me up, but also bc i didn't know how to express myself with clothing yet. sophomore and junior year is when i started to get a style i liked, and then senior year i wore exclusively sweatpants bc senioritis lol

i don't think there is anything wrong with changing your style, as long as you aren't changing it to meet someone else's standards bc fun fact, you never will.

and i get what you're saying, it's similar to the joke of 'all the gothic kids that look exactly the same never want to conform' (we stan bo burnham in this household). just bc now being "dark" is in, that doesn't mean that ppl who are now dressing like it are somehow fake or are only following it for a trend.

not to mention, everyone follows trends. there's nothing wrong with liking things bc they are popular. that's kinda the whole point why something is popular: bc it's well liked.

i think the previous anon was more trying to say that maybe jake isn't being authentic bc his change came very abruptly. for example, colby's change into what he dresses/acts like now was a slow and gradual one, while jake's has kinda only came within the last year or two. he changed his style a bit when he first moved out to la, but it's only been within this last year that he has gone into the full one that he has now. is it possible he has amped up this bc of his music? sure. but i don't think there is anything wrong with that tbh. i don't think he's lying and pretending to be something he is not. honestly, he could feel so much more comfortable with himself that he now feels like he can express himself to the fullest extent, and i think that comes with being a little outlandish.

if you don't agree, that's totally fine too ! personally, i think he could also be expressing himself like this to get rid of any "fake fans" that were only around for him from back in the trap house and vine days. he's no longer that person, but that's not a bad thing to me. everyone changes, and that's okay :)

(also i don't really care for his hair, but it's also whatever to me lol i don't quite understand having it super short underneath but long all around. it's like an ass-backwards mullet... but who am i to judge? i've had the same hair style since birth)

Tell us about the moment you knew you were a fan:

I remember being in 6th grade and my dad was playing 60s music on YouTube on the TV. I was just so happy every time The Beatles came on and I had "Here Comes The Sun" stuck in my head for days. That's when I new they owned me lol.

Did you ever have a genuine ‘The Beatles suck!’ phase before becoming a fan?:

No never! I've always loved them and idolized them from a young age.

I honestly have not read any so no comment.

Thoughts on the old generation of fans:

Some of them are awesome! Even today! My friends' parents grew up on The Beatles' music and have listened to them since the 60s. Talking to them about The Beatles is always such a lovely experience. That being said there were definitely Beatlemaniacs in the 60s that crossed too many boundaries and some of that behavior shouldn't be celebrated.

If Hollywood were to make a high budget Beatles biopic, what is one thing you desperately hope they include?:

Their wives/girlfriends. Cynthia, Maureen, Pattie, and Jane dealt with so much and stood by the boys' sides. They were so important to the Bugs and deserve proper recognition. That being said don't touch my boys. Leave them alone. I don't really want a Beatles biopic.

Do you read/write fanfic?:

I don't read a lot of it, but yes I do read fanfic. It's been a while, but I'm not opposed to reading more in the future. It's hard to find some that isn't smut though and I tend to avoid reading smut. I've never written Beatles fanfiction and don't think I ever will.

Are you the only one in your family/friend group to enjoy them?:

None of my irl friends listen to them. My whole family loves them though! My dad played their music all the time when I was little and still does to this day. They are one of the only artists my mom and I agree on.

They were so connected. It's hard to fathom how well they understood each other and how powerful their connection was. One of the most brilliant writing duos in history. Now and forever.

I would make a reunion happen. Even if only once. I just want one final concert where they all were happy and alive. They deserved one more ending.

"Girl"!!! Hands down. That's my answer. The vocals in that song are dreamy.

Idk. I feel like at least a little effort went into everything.
