my experience meeting the triplets/ going to their tour ౨ৎ ⋆.˚ ✧

first i just wanna say, i am so so so insanely grateful to have attended both tours and to have met them twice. i’m not trying to brag or anything but a lot of people ask me and i figured it be easier for me to make one post rather than answer inbox questions a million times that get lost.

2/5/23 - let’s trip tour

i met the triplets for the first time during the let’s trip tour. i vividly remember being at work when the tickets went on sale and i was gonna go w my coworker but things fell thru and i went alone, and that alr was nerve wrecking enough. but i met a lot of cool people on line and everyone was super friendly. i got the pre-show small talk package, so i got to meet them before i saw them on stage. i also wrote them letters (idk if they ever opened them) but it was honestly fate when i stopped to drop them off in the present bin because there was a group of three girls in front of me so i wasn’t super rushed when i was meeting each triplet.

i met chris first! i was soooooo nervous but the second i started talking it all went away. the first thing i noticed was how small they are irl and immediately after was how fucking good chris smelled 😭 he was soo sweet. i told him how i loved watching their videos w my mom and that she was his favorite. i can’t rlly remember what else i talked about him with, and i tried to screen record my camera but i didn’t turn the mic on so i lost all the audio 😭😭

next was matttttt the loml. i was immediately soo comfortable around him, i was literally just talking like a normal conversation without even thinking. i asked him how the tour was going and he told me he was sad it was ending soon. and then i told him how one of my best friends is a triplet and we talked about that, he told me his dad is a twin and that everyone thinks he nick and chris are identical but they aren’t. he was so sweet and really listen to what you have to say, i had such a nice time talking with him.

when i met nick my auto pilot like shut off and i froze 😭😭 i literally out loud was like “i am so nervous” and he was so sweet about it, he hugged me a second time and was like “no don’t be it’s okay!” lmfaoo. i didn’t get to talk to him as long but i remember him telling me it was super nice to meet me after.

on line for the red carpet, i met madi! she was just walking around the venue, and she was over by me and i asked for a photo. she was soo sweet (and so pretty irl omfg). i didn’t wait in line for the red carpet for very long, i got merch, and then i did my photo w them :,) tbh i honestly don’t lovee it because i rlly don’t look the best in it lolol. bur ill pull thru and show u all. but this was back when u got to pick ur own poses and we all did hearts with one another (idk if that makes sense) and i stood next to my mannn😛😛

i look so diff now like i actually hate how i look when i met them but that’s beside the point 😭😭 but they all looked sooooo good. also for reference im about 5’3-5’4ish.

show-wise, it was sm more fun than the versus tour tbh. i got to see yung pleit perform and he opened w miss me and everyone was going insaneeeee. i was literally like one person behind the baracade, i was so close it was so so so cool. the triplets went on for maybe twenty minutes but they read the question i asked them which was so cool. and mary lou, jimmy, justin, and nate were all at my show!! they were on the balcony above the stage and were waving to us it was so cute. i had such a fun time at this show i wish i could go back

10/9/23 - the versus tour

this show was soooooo so so so special to me. i was going through a really really hard time. and this show made me so happy and gave me such a nice break from everything. this show wasn’t as close as the first show so i went to with my mom (she was team orange lol). i also got to meet some old online friends i made which was so nice :,) like the last tour, i got pre-show small talk. my only complaint though is that when i bought tickets backstage wasn’t available, some friends and i called the venue and they told us there was no backstage , but there actually was :( but im still sooooo grateful i got to meet them!

the order was the same as last time- chris, matt, then nick. i was so nervous about meeting them again, i literally almost forgot to take a pic w chris LMFAO. he was so sweet, he asked me how i was doing, if i was excited, all that good stuff. this time was a lot more rushed than the first, but i still got a decent amount of time with each triplet. i also got them each to draw me my fav angel numbers to get tattooed, i still haven’t gotten it yet but when i do i’ll post it :)

i was sooo nervous to meet matt again lmfao but as soon as i went up to him i felt fine. i complemented his outfit (he had on his white eeyore jacket 😭😭 so cute) and we took our picture and when i was leaving he told me it was rlly nice to meet me :,)) he is sooooooo pretty irl like his eyes r so blue and his earrings r so sparkly i was literally like in a trance. omfg.

nick was soo sweet he gave me such a big hug and was so smiley and asked how i was doing, same as chris. he also rested his head on mine when we took our pic togetherrr. he was so so kind.

my show was a monday so they had uploaded a podcast while i was on line for the red carpet, so i listened to that a bit while waiting. this tour we had pre-picked poses, but i did the hearts again. i stood in between matt and chris, and i said i wanted hearts and matt immediately did half the heart and put his arm around me so we did the heart tgth 😭😭

lowk not a fan of this pic either but :( so sweet. i love them so much. i also wore platform shoes this time lol so that gave me some height.

the show was so good! so much more entertaining than what the triplets did the first time. it was very engaging, and so fun to watch. lowk bitter i didn’t get picked to be matt’s teammate but we move. anyway. each challenge was so fun, me and my friend knew almost all the trivia questions they did 😭😭 and jenga was sooo stressful to watch lmfao it was so close the whole time, i think we had one of the longest jenga shows of the tour lmfao. chris ended up winning bc matt dropped the jenga tower and they were both tied. it was such a fun experience im so grateful to have gone !

is that child abuse? i think that's child abuse. you learn the source of ritsu's problems very early on in his affinity--he has had zero normal social interaction opportunities and no childhood. From birth until he stopped being a toddler he was just flying around the world looking at beautiful things, no stability in his location or world aside from the presence of his mother, and then he went home and probably basically got locked away to study law the moment he could sort of read. His whole existence was molding him to work. . .Subaru is similar, even down to what age they were forced to start preparing to work at. But Subaru is at least better adjusted, probably because acting awarded him better opportunities to try and think about how other people think.

i love the vibe of this. rather than silently nothing your sighing and potential exhaustion or scolding you for not caring for yourself, he expresses concern towards you. also, it's so soft yandere. like he already records everything you say and do, to confront you over it on top of that he shamelessly defends his recording and notetaking. . .if not for that he recorded everyone it would really be so yandere lolol. instead it's just his odd and overbearing way of showing he's beginning to care.

his increased attachment is shown in the bare minimum of understanding normal human social interaction and caring for you by sharing his things and his time without charge. Because that's what his parents did for him--so surely that's the best expression of love he has, aside from obsessive study and understanding.

(for the uninitiated, that is very much a thing in Japan where on valentine's day a girl give some men in her life--like coworkers--obligation chocolates, which are generally not as nice and most likely store bought, although this practice is losing ground. friends get friendship chocolate and you give people you're actually attracted to or in a relationship more extravagant, expensive, or homemade chocolates to express your true feelings or a desire to be in a relationship with them. Ritsu is essentially asking 'is this because we're coworkers or are you asking me out' because White Day is the day for return gifts in response to given valentine's day gifts, and in the case of chocolates given to someone you wanna go out with they can act as a response to that proposal. presumably if you're asking him out he wants to give you chocolate to agree to get with you, since he's bothering to ask. . . .

yeah it was me who made the post about subbing in the assassins for the women - tbh i think you can assume if there’s a meta post about thk and comparing it to taming, im the one that made it cause i have genuinely not seen anyone else making meta posts about it shskdhd which is like fair! i get that people are way more familiar with 10 things and i also get the urge with the source material being so heavily about misogyny, but tbh i feel like you’re taking away from either one by making it about men, because while the misogyny isnt as prominent in 10 things, kat being a feminist is very integral to her character, so either way there’s things that are being lost if we’re saying it’s based on 10 things. but it’s just. very frustrating when i or other people comment on taming and people reply with stuff like “oh it’s not even actually based on that lol” because!! it is!! it actively is!! like i know a lot of people are gonna miss the direct references, hell IVE missed a number of references that i only caught upon rereading taming post ep5 but it’s such a discredit to jojo and the team when they have put in the WORK of this being a shakespeare adaption for so many people to just kind of dismiss it. like i have my grips with taking out the women but subbing them in for assassins and therefore allowing the stakes to be raised to the same manner that the misogyny exists within taming is something i have genuinely not seen in another taming adaption and it is utterly fascinating to me and it’s a genuinely interesting route for them to have gone. sorry for going off in your inbox but as a shakespeare nerd/someone who got their degree in theatre, i take the shakespeare aspect of this show far more seriously than most other people and it’s genuinely frustrating to me when people dismiss it shskdhd

Ok first off, please don't apologise for going off, I love this! I love reading about other people's passions and how they influence perspectives on something I also love because it's soooo fascinating to me the details that other people see that I'll miss because I don't have the same interest/background/experiences. Like. Everything Style right now is going to be tied to him losing his mother and how that influences his Character and Personality and Way of Looking at the World, but I'm also conscious that it's because that's literally My Story, too. Anyway, sorry for going on a bit of a tangent there.

I didn't mean to downplay (my tags here for context) the inaccuracy of assuming that THK is an adaption of 10 Things vs ToS, but what I was trying to get at is how it's simply easier for a contemporary audience to see scenes like Style embarrassing Fadel in the stadium as being a reference to 10 Things and Patrick serenading Kat at the end of the show and ignore the way the tone and the intention of the characters (Style in ep 3 vs Patrick at the end of the movie) are TOTALLY different, and actually Style doing that was far more in line with Petruchio subjecting Katherina to public humiliation in his method of wooing in the early stages of the play (although tbh I don't think that ever really changes in the play and in THIS, at least, I'm glad THK is ALSO a romance). Even the way the people in the stadium respond to Style's antics with baffled amusement is a better reference to how Petruchio's behaviour was mostly accepted by the society at the time despite how cruel it really was to Katherina.

But yeah, like, its just harder to see that because while both ToS and 10 Things actually does, as you say, deal with misogyny very intentionally, because they're both depictions of misogyny set in their respective time periods, what we see in ToS is SO alien vs what we see in 10 Things. And since THK is again an even more recent/current adaption, the social 'vibe' it has is closer to 10 Things than to ToS.

As a 90s kid, 10 Things was one of my favourite movies precisely because it unflinchingly commented on (and dramatised) my own experience of how girls/women were required to behave/speak/think in certain ways to fit a 'feminine' ideal, but if you compare it objectively to ToS, what it depicted was so much tamer (pun not intended) to what women in Shakespeare's time experienced.

And as someone who's currently working in education, it's sad to see the way classics like Shakespeare's plays have slowly lost value in education for more "modern" and "relevant" pieces of literature because I actually think the lessons to be learned in these works are so valuable and necessary to raise a generation of nuanced thinkers.

And the byproduct of this is that when people are watching something like THK it's simply harder to appreciate where the true inspiration lies.

okay it took me a while to put it into words what evan's biggest vice is, but i think i finally got it.

bro has the WORST coping mechanisms ever, mainly because he refuses to let people in and instead keeps everything to himself, causing the people around him to not only feel rejected and cast out, but straight up HURT.

there's no bigger example for this than evan's breakup with ____.

tbh, evan's entire relationship with X was so uncomfortable, mainly because bro had NO BUSINESS BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP AT THE TIME. he was so messy during that relationship and it was genuinely so unfair to his partner. from start to finish bro was not mentally checked in, and while i don't blame him for that, i do blame him for deciding to enter a relationship when he knew he was mentally not in the right place. that was more than an L. he literally broke her heart.

bro literally asked her out immediately after the bathtub scene with nyla. WITHIN THE SAME HOUR. that was quite literally one of the stupidest things he could have done, but the bathtub scene with nyla had him so disturbed, he ran to X for comfort, then decided to blurt out his feelings to her, and then landed himself in a relationship that he was not ready to commit to because the bathtub scene had happened literally 30 minutes ago.

he never opened up to X. never told her anything. never let her into his life or even the details of it. he purposefully kept her in the dark because it was too overwhelming to tell her things (fair enough. i wouldn't even know how to open that closet of skeletons to be fair, but i also wouldn't be pursuing a relationship if i had a closet of skeletons THAT FRESH). and obviously, when your partner is keeping secrets from you of that intensity, it causes some relationship drama.

the way they broke up was literally her begging him to tell her anything truthful about himself. it wasn't even that evan hesitated--he straight up didn't respond. didn't even look her in the eye. just looked at her feet, said "im sorry" and LEFT.

HE LEFT.

BRO WHAT-?

AND THE WORST PART IS, HE WENT RUNNING STRAIGHT BACK TO NYLA.

bro it was so bad, the freakin gods had to get involved. yozar straight up stopped evan from calling nyla because he was like, "nuh uh. stop that. you don't need her anymore, evan. why do you keep running back." and bro just broke down into tears until someone walked in, his tears completely dried up, and he pretended like everything was alright and that he was fine.

HE ALWAYS DOES THAT. THE FIRST TIME HIS SKIN GOT MELTED OFF, HE JUST COVERED IT UP AND SAID HE WAS FINE. the second time it happened, he went to noctem for help (at least), but then completely ignored the larger issue and pretended he was fine. when he lost that person in his life, he pretended he wasn't super close with them to convince everyone their death didn't affect him that much even though bro was in shambles. he didn't even tell anyone about his breakup with X because he didn't want to ruin the facade.

AND FOR THE RAHEER ARC?

it took this guy getting attacked, breaking his arm, and notbeing able to heal it for everyone to realize something was seriously wrong with him. and then they find out about the skin and they're like hehhh????

evan only lets people into his life when he's cornered into it, he has no other options, or they find out and he has to make excuses. he has such severe trust issues and such a bad habit of rather (a) coping terribly; or (b) hiding his pain, that is sabotages himself and everyone else as well. it's a learned behaviour, so i don't fault him for it as much as i need him to get his shit together and stop being messy. but until he overcomes his dependency on nyla (bruh i could go on a hyperanalysis on his relationship with nyla don't even get me started on that mess), he STAYS MESSY.

he's honestly one of the messiest characters i have.

from time to time i think about how people used to ask me for advice on this blog... i was young and still figuring things out, and i thought it was funny that people asked me for advice. but it's like: you open a conduit one way, and more things start flowing that way. so the asks kept coming in. people are very mimetic.

i feel Older and Wiser now, and might be able to give better advice, but more of my writing is private, my blogging more sporadic... (i am still an external processor in many ways, but at least i have close deep friendships, and i can process with them instead of on a blog.)

there came a point when people started to get weird with me -- the asks got more invasive, spiky, cagey. so i had to close down my inbox

it's open again, but maybe i've done a good job with setting boundaries with strangers, hahaha. there's no pile of messages waiting for me. tbh, i feel like most of the quandaries i used to get, now people could just make a throwaway account on reddit and make a post there. polling a large group of people seems to make more sense than just asking one writer; trying to account for subjectivity and the multiplicity of human behavior and thought...

outside of my own experience, i have thought a lot about the concept of "asking for advice"; the concept of "externally processing" (via blogging, therapy, talking to friends, publishing writing, etc etc); the more codified concept of an "advice column" and the wise "advice columnist." the advice column is kinda old-school at this point, and most of them today seem to exist as clickbait to drive people to the comment section, where everyone can put in their two cents on the letter writer and the competency of the advice-giver.

polling the audience. that's a modern thing, too -- quite recent that we could all conduct polls. like, legit, easy polls. when you want to find out people's opinions, and they'll easily give it to you if they don't have to talk or type, they just hit a button. hit this button if you like this food. hit this button if i'm right. if i'm not right, explain.

in "a field guide to getting lost," rebecca solnit brings up an interesting fact that people didn't used to get as lost as people get today. like, there's a lot more search and rescue expeditions today than there used to be. outside of population growth and etc, she said it's likely because of a few factors: people used to be more aware of their surroundings, and their schedules weren't as packed, so they had a slower pace of doing things. people could meander. they weren't worried, they'd find their way home eventually (and in the meantime, they knew more about the flora and fauna, what to eat, and so on). people who get lost today tend to freak out and get themselves more lost, or into more dangerous situations.

thinking about that in relation to the way that people relate to each other and communicate today... the idea of writing someone a letter for advice and waiting a few weeks to hear a response sounds useless. everyone needs an immediate response to everything.

on one hand, it's neat that i can get an immediate response to almost any query i have -- google, wikipedia, polling the audience, texting friends. I Am a Conduit for Information

on the other hand, if the immediate response is incorrect... or only a partial response... or nothing comes up... i tend to feel like a broken computer. come on! obtain the information! complete the task!

and there are many things which will not be easily answered and processed right away. there are a lot of things you have to sit and chew on. hold in your pocket for a while.

this is very frustrating

Tbh I kinda fell off Obey Me. This game is clearly not a labor of love to Solmare anymore, so it’s kinda lost all its charm. The main reason I got into Obey Me is because (as sad as this sounds) I was in an unfulfilling relationship that left me with a desire for affection. Now that I’m in an actual loving relationship, I kinda focused on the real world version of that instead.

BUT, I miss Mammon lol. Imma try my best to get back into and find some writing inspiration. I’ll also start responding and going through my inbox messages.

The funny thing is my boyfriend vaguely knows about this blog and he wants to see it and read my writing so bad 💀 but I won’t let him I’d rather die I think lmao.

Thanks to everyone who’s been still reading my stuff while I’ve been inactive. The fact that one of my stupid ass blog posts could be someone’s favorite fanfic or something to comfort them is mind boggling, but very kind. I know the exact feeling from reading other’s works too. It’s warm, it’s fuzzy, it makes you want to kick your feet, and it makes you feel whole for a little while.

I might go through and clean up the blog a little bit, maybe fix some of my writings (I’ll post the new one where it is more accessible, but still link the old one on the actual rewrite itself? If that sounds cool?) and update my theme.

hiii I was given an excuse to talk my head off so I will! any excuse not to think about current events tbh!

my crownie's name is Asphodel, but I just call them Azzie. idk if their name fits with the other siblings well like, Salvatorem, Percival, Asphodel, Orla? I'm iffy, but i feel like im too far in now. a big like, design note for me about them is their hair is naturally like dark brown but they fucking bleached it to shit so it's totally fried. it was a major impulse choice, it's gotten to the point where the roots are pretty visible but they are not gonna fix it. in my brain the way the roots split up are the actual flower. I wanna draw them later so it's more clear... not realistic at all but my artist design brain takes forefront. I imagine they have really droopy eyes. in my head they're very wet cat.

my favorite characters are Sally and Percy!! I love sibling dynamics in IFs and I love that we actually get to spend time with them in game. I made lime a bunch of design notes about them to match Azzy at some point but I definitely lost them. one thing I do remember is noting I think Percy would have like 3B textured hair if you know what I mean? and Sally is thicker at like 3c - 4a but would either keep his hair really short or in locs for tidines sake so it's. irrelevant. i just like to think hes stressed out so hed like a hair style that doesn't require as constant Maintenance to look good. this is the situation that they are black men cause my crownie is black so (vague hand wave). I imagined Orla also has like 3b hair.

I ended up romancing Lorcan because. man do I love sibling dynamics! I love the idea of Azzy seeing in Lorcan something they couldn't have, a remnant of their sister, someone they miss but also resent to some extent. of course not consciously, I always imagine they like can acknowledge they feel something towards Lorcan, but not fully what and that freaks them out so they just choose not to think about it? especially since I play them being very nice to him and I like to think they don't even fully know why they're being like that. they're naturally conflict avoidant, you get into so much trouble for things you can't control, you sort of want to avoid it whenever you can now, but this is weird. and they're already weird if they think something Is weird? what the FUCK is going on? can't tell anyone either, want to more reasons for people to think you're a freak? choosing not to think about it. 3000 other things to think about that are not this.

Okay okay, so what about a reader with a bad attitude? So for Vince, I would assume that their relationship starts with the reader defending Vincent from Bo. Like, Bo just starts calling Vincent names (like the mean truck man he is >:[) and Vincent is just taking it, then the reader steps between the two twins and just starts BURNING Bo with every insult they have.

“Oh, he’s the freak? Well at least he knows how to keep his mouth shut and isn’t asking everyone with a *female anatomy* to *adult fun* every ten seconds.” or something vicious like that-

and Vincent is just dumbfounded that someone has the balls to speak up against Bo.

I don't know who else to express my conern to, but... it seems to me that Joe hasn't been wearing his wedding ring lately? I first noticed it in the China pics and thought maybe he just forgot it at home or something, but I did a quick look through 2ourdust pics and it seems to be missing then, too??

i was going to answer this when i saw it in my inbox yesterday but tbh i genuinely got too high last night to type coherently LMFAOOOO. BUT this is the RIGHT PLACE to express this concern because i actually am a slightly insane person who pays like TOO MUCH attention to wedding rings due to the fact that they make me Feel Ways, so i actually have a lot to say about this!!! i am the co-president of the joe trohman hands and ring committee after all (shoutout ash)…however, tldr: i would say that him not wearing his ring is not a bad sign to ME bc of the evidence on this matter. and i’m putting it under a cut cuz i kind of typed a lot here 😭

joe didnt wear his wedding ring almost at all on tourdust or eurodust either (there’s the joe coffee run picture that he’s wearing it, but i believe that was taken in la, and he lives in la, so he could have just dropped it off at home or whatever lol), but it actually goes much further back than that! iirc joe started first inconsistently wearing his wedding ring in 2017 or so, and he and his wife had a baby the next year, so it is not necessarily the sign of a split or anything that he is not wearing it :-)

there could be many many reasons that he doesn’t wear it while touring/playing. it may be the case that he doesn’t like to travel with it for fear of losing it, especially considering his ring was upgraded recently ish it seems. see the pics below, left picture=2019 or so i believe, right picture=early 2023 from the hmlag shoot. as you can see the new ring has a different design, there’s some carving or maybe there’s even like diamonds in the band idk it’s hard to see fully, but it really could be the case that it’s a much more expensive ring, thus not wanting to travel with it because of the cost to replace if he lost it

there are also other personal reasons he may choose to not wear it: it could be for fluctuating finger sizes due to medical reasons or weight changes (i am not implying it looks like he gained or lost weight lol it doesn’t seem that way, but even small weight changes that are invisible to us can impact your finger size, or a high-sodium diet can contribute the fingers swelling more, so on and so forth), it could be the case that it’s become uncomfortable to play in (as an example, there’s that one video from 2013 or so of an acoustic performance where patrick removes his wedding band because of the slide sound it’s making on the neck of the guitar, so it’s not inconceivable that a wedding ring could get in the way/be uncomfortable for playing in), or SOOO many different reasons that he stopped wearing it that we may not know about (and that’s ok!!)

during their last show (or maybe one of their last shows? i can’t remember for sure but def a december 2023 show) he brought out this lil number which appears to be a silicone ring. and he only used this for one show and hasn’t brought it back since, but it just may not have been an alternative that worked for him. i know for example my uncle had a bad allergic reaction on his hands when he tried to switch to a silicone wedding band, so maybe something similar could have happened to joe with this silicone band, or just not liking the feel of it, etc

another piece of evidence that i think should soothe you as well, he was wearing his real ring during his christmas video, even if he wasn’t wearing his ring almost at all during 2023 tour :)

as well, i’m not going to include the pics (but you can find it easily on meredith’s reel lol), but marie was at andy and meredith’s wedding too, just another lil piece of evidence that im not concerned about the state of their relationship :)

Guys I ong woke up to like so many new asks I’m gonna be busy when I’m done with classes for the day. Speaking about asks, I have like two “phantom asks”. Idk what else to call it but I constantly have like two extra in my inbox that don’t exist. Like my inbox says 11 rn but there are actually only 9. It’s been like this for the longest time idfk. Anyway still excited to draw alla your silly little asks ;3.

Also I been thinking about the 18+ stuff, and I been slightly thinking about making a second account for it, but at the same time I feel like two accounts for me is too much to manage for me personally. I might just always make 18+ stuff under the cut in a post with a sfw doodle above the cut so minors who follow me don’t just get it shoved on them, but tbh, my account has never been advertised as for people under 18. Like I think on of the first polls (if not THE first) i made, was literally asking if this account should be freaky and not, and the result turned out to be “a bit of both” but I can see while catformers was going that probably got lost to time. But I’m still hesitant on making a second account because idk. Second accounts have just never been for me, and I don’t really do them. I like to have my blog as just the full experience of me doing whatever tf I want. I mean, from now-on out it’s advertised as mildly 18+, so newer people know at least. That’s gonna be my opinion on it.

Also guys like this week I’m doing some craazy painting things. Context: I like working with acrylics a bit more abstract. My digital and traditional art styles are both wildly different so I kinda wanna show you guys the other stuff I’m making in class. The one I’m doing today actually has some transformers related stuff so I may post both of my works later today HEHE. (My hands are constantly drowning in paint.)

I have (I think) like 5/15 ocs finished btw so like…if you want to request me revealing more, then by all means, go on HUEHEU. For now I just have them as filler if I don’t have any asks that day but it DEFINITELY seems to be a problem I only THOUGHT I would have. alright. so this is weird. 

i logged into this account while i was looking for a bootleg post i had saved years ago. first time i've logged in here in like.... five years? i saw the names of a lot of friends i had on here. i saw some inbox messages too, i dunno how old they are. i saw some old posts and messages and just reminisced/spiraled a little bit. i used this blog religiously from when i was 14 to like 18ish. i went thru a lot on here. i had community on here when i was at my loneliest. i was volatile and so scared and trans and queer and i guess in some ways, nothing has changed. im 25 now, gonna be 26 in a couple weeks. i figured i could make a little post to update y'all. i dunno if anyone will read this. but i've been thinking a lot about my friends i made here lately.

i turn 26 in a little over a month. i'm still jasper, havent transitioned yet, but i might be the gayest i've ever been. my coming out process has been Awful to say the least. but my 9 year anniversary with my partner jer is coming up. i'm spending my 26th birthday with jer in salem, mass, my favorite city in the world. 

i have an associates degree in theatre and a bachelors degree in english with a creative writing concentration. not doing anything in those fields yet but i'm figuring things out. it hasn't been exactly easy. 

i'm figuring my life out i guess! i went thru a very traumatic falling out with a group of friends that abused me during the pandemic. i lost a lot of my college life to a horrible group of people, it's a whole thing i'm not gonna get into right now. in some ways i'm still recovering from that. in some ways i'm better than i've ever been. 

i'm like high key a furry now tbh. i have a fursona named salem who kinda saved my life i guess. he is everything to me. 

no shock here but i still love fall out boy with every part of my heart, maybe even more than i did when i was a kid. i got my first tattoo and it's a fall out boy one. i also got into a lot of other alternative bands! i adore ghost a lot, i'm seeing them in july. i also love sleep token, spiritbox, bad omens, linkin park, and poppy. music has gotten me thru the worst of the shit i've been thru. 

and despite everything, i still love musicals and andy and spring awakening and everything. i actually logged in looking for a wicked bootleg in the wake of the movie coming out. i saw andy as jonathan in tick tick boom in cape cod a couple months ago! front row in this old little local theatre, what a magical night it was. i'm planning on getting andy's handwriting tattooed on me still, and i want some other musical related tattoos eventually (i'll probably be covered in a couple years: gender affirming care). 

also i really love spiderman now but no one's shocked by that either, that's just transmasc rite of passage i think. 

i guess i'm still the same in a lot of ways. that weirdo little gay boy that felt too much and definitely shared too much. i am so sorry for being way too TMI when i was younger. i was way too young and unsupervised and lonely as hell. i'm happy to say i'm a bit older and a little less lonely and a little more reserved in what i share online now lmfao 

that being said, i do art and stuff still! i post my art on instagram (sometimes) at @/witchcityspider and on bluesky @/kingofpentacles if anyone wants to find me there. or if you want my discord or my personal instagram you can let me know. i made another blog at one point that i use here and there: @shadowacademy 

i've thought about reaching out to people i used to talk to here but i didn't wanna freak anyone out, so i'm doing this instead. 

i'll keep this blog up, check it here and there. in some ways i miss it. i miss the community i guess, having a place i belonged. i've gone through a lot and lost a lot of friends over the past couple years. i mean, hell, i went through a lot on here. it was a huge part of my life, somedays my little sect on here was all i had. and i hope that, even my friends that have deactivated or aren't active, i hope you all are well and happier than we were in 2015. almost a decade ago. 

i guess i just wanna hug my little 15 year old self and i wish i could warn him about what has happened to us since, but i can't. but we made it out. despite everything, it's still me. 

anyways. i'm around if you're looking to find me. i'm off trying to be cryptic and mysterious but just coming off as a certified yapper elsewhere. i don't wanna be weird and interrupt people that don't wanna see me again, but i do miss so many people from here. i wonder if they ever remember this or think of me and wonder where i've been. maybe it's selfish or maybe it's just human, i'm not sure.
