Merry Xmatsu!! Christmas messages from the Sextuplets. (Translated into English)

Parka is so funny to me bc they're literally a raccoon and a kitty cat hanging out and getting into mischief and also Osomatsu calms Ichimatsu down and they're friends

Chokei is also funny bc like the two of them are constantly taking pot shots at each other but also vibe and love getting along and double teaming their brothers. They are a good team and also their beef is so funny fhwhfhd

Wakaba - I just love seeing Jyushimatsu throw Choromatsu and bite him lol

And Karamatsu and Jyushimatsu are sooo! Who could forget the iconic oh my little Jyushimatsu!!?!

🔥 An aspect of the show that I think is underrated is definitely fleshing out the secondary cast? With one writer on staff you can clearly see when he gets bored of characters or can't find anything funny to say about them. So when that happens characters like Chibita, Totoko, Iyami and others (who I kinda don't really like but def feel like they're entertaining as an ensemble) are thrown to the wayside when they could provide a lot more comedy.

Speaking of recovery aus @chorotchi has an amazing one! Greens There She Is literally made me fucking cry. The Omurice series is literally the best trans girl choro content on the scene. Don't walk lol run. It's so good, and ik Viri's working on a really great yokai au! And just started greens actual fic for recovery Choro!

@ichikos is also like a fucking stellar writer, idk if Izzys posted much of it yet but deadass is my biggest inspiration and rock when it comes to creative exchanges. Izzys writing is so good, the way she sees Ichimatsu and how delicately she keeps his fangs bared but him sweet? aurgh. You guys gotta see the meals I be snacking on when Izzy sends me over a doc.

@chockmatsu has her Squeeze With Both Hands fic that's so professional quality. It's so good, you could read it in a novella or a anthology and wouldnt guess it was fic at all. Literally a masterpiece, like all Karamatsu stans it's heavenly so yall want for fucking nothing in terms of quality content. Five course meal right there.

@lesbiabmatsu not only has this cute ask blog for girl gays but also is a writer that will knock your fucking socks off!! Her ocs are so adorable, funny, charming and all are so compatible with her characters!! Bibi is my bestie from kindergarten, Inko is my new friend who breaks my bfs arm when he makes me cry and Totty is sandwiched between me and Suzu's fine ass. When I get to read her writing it's always a special and rare treat because Clover can and does write her fucking ass off in those documents. but for real i guess how complex and interesting he is?? like there are so many facets to his personality and so we get so many flavours of totty. hes a sly little bitch, hes a sweetheart, hes a nag, hes a crybaby, hes blunt and callous, hes a goofy mf with a loud ass cackle, hes an angry dude who screams a lot, etc.

like you can probably name a bunch of "contradictory" traits that he can exemplify both of, eg: honest/dishonest, driven/lazy, self-preserving/self-destructive, realist/idealistic, logical/impulsive, sociable/lonely, mean callous bitch/the sweetest baby bro. hes so entertaining to watch and also has a lot of neat tendencies ive only picked up on recently, like apologizing when he doesn't think he did anything wrong, self-destructing for the sake of others, self-destructing for the sake of screwing over others... HE CONTAINS MULTITUDES.

i think when most people think of him, they just think of his cutesy + sly shtick, but by default hes not really like that most of the time. hes just a guy. to me he feels like an actual person, and i find him extremely relatable.

i also love how a lot of his more genuine acts of kindness arent immediately obvious and he doesnt always expect something in return! he is so full of love and care but is also inarguably. bastard. sometimes when he does things from a place of love he’s not kind about it so it doesn’t register as caring, like all the times he nags his bros or tells them an unpleasant truth in a harsh way. my favourite characters are pretty much never the characters that are just nice and sweet, so todomatsu is really really perfect to me because he's a snarky little shit who is crafty and self-serving on the surface, but he also makes me wanna 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 once i start looking deeper into things.

like he actually has a lot of little moments where hes just. a sweetheart? his “evil” moments are very fun and memorable and what made him stand out to me at first but when i rewatch older episodes theres a lot of little things that i hadnt fully appreciated before.

also he is just a funny guy. i love how he is “the smart, manipulative one”, but he has exactly one plan at all times and it doesnt even work out most of the time. he loses his cool extremely easily and proceeds to do impulsive shit, either bc hes panicking or bc he is fucking FUMING.

but when his plans do seem to work out its a treat to watch and i feel very proud. like good for you, you crafty little bastard.

i also respect how practical he is and how he makes an effort to improve himself and climb the social ladder! he hasnt had much success and is still undoubtedly a loser despite his efforts but i respect how he puts himself out there to face rejection. i like to think that his advice about the mixer to oso in s2e7 came from a place of personal experience, like there was a time where he was really really excited and then completely failed, then added that situation to his mental checklist, which is why he told oso what he did. he tried to temper his expectations because of that but he ended up getting hyped up again anyways, and fell flat once again.

i find it so cute how totty clearly looks up to oso, and finds him reliable in a weird, shitty sort of way. also cyber!!! i feel like he relies on both choro and oso a lot as big bros but in sort of opposite directions, if that makes sense.

beni also has such a fun and varied dynamic. one second totty will be nagging oso like an annoying parent and the next they'll both be goofing off over something INCREDIBLY stupid. also they are mischievous little assholes and very cute and fun to watch.

also i want more totoko and todomatsu interaction i want to see them be friends

random headcanon: (thanks @transtottimi​ for this one hehe) i love the idea that he buys cute drinks and desserts and stuff for the aesthetic but he actually likes black coffee bc he’s an old man on the inside

unpopular opinion: he has a shit sense of self-esteem, he doesn't love himself much, he's just coping.

also dont know that this is an unpopular opinion or just not mentioned a lot, but totty wants to be helpful, just not if it involves physical labour or anything (the pampered little princess). his whole deal is that he wants to succeed first so he can be the one to bring his brothers up with him! hes pretty often one to volunteer ideas and advice to the other five, even if nearly all of his plans fail and his advice is sometimes unwanted, to say the least. Pinup Poster from the Osomatsu Character Book #6 (July 2016)

A classic. The very first iteration of Youkaimatsu. Kind of hard to find since it was a bonus poster from the character book, so unless you were actively looking for the book, you wouldn’t find this.

Osomatsu - Kitsune (unknown how many tails he has but is often depicted in fan artworks as 6 or 9, 9 meaning strongest/wisest a kitsune has been, Spirit Fox)

Karamatsu - Karasu-Tengu (pun on Kara, Bird Man)

Choromatsu - Dodomeki (usually a woman cursed with long arms littered with many bird eyes because of greed. Most popular one imo)

Ichimatsu + ESP Nyanko - Nekomata (Two-tailed cat, legend says that cats who live longer than a 100 years gain a second tail)

Jyushimatsu - Rokurobi (available in two flavors. Long Neck and Floating Head. He is the former. Theorized to not actually be a youkai but created for entertainment. Also used as a literary device for a wandering soul.)

Todomatsu - Yukki Onna (Also a joke on Todo being scared stiff. Yuki Onna pull tricks on humans that usually end on the person’s death via cold. Has a harsh and soft side)

Youkai Units from The Great Youkai War event from Hesokuri Wars (November 2016)

Most popular Youkaimatsu set, this baby could get milked for miles, but for some reason isn’t. Has a lot of variants (Awakened, Darkness, Snow, Sakura and Hyakki Yagyou) and connected to a lot of other sets: Denki Mystery, Colorless Overalls, Mononoke and a bunch of others. She is the top DOGG set.

Osomatsu - Shuten-Douji (Oni Leader with a penchance for Sake, literally carrying a big ass bottle of it on his back, since he is the leader of the sextuplets and the one seen drinking beer the most)

Karamatsu - Aoandon (Summoned after 100 supernatural stories are told. Originated from the blue (ao) paper lanterns (andon) that were sometimes used to give a chilling atmosphere)

Choromatsu - Daitengu (Great Tengu, Tengus were theorized to be ascended souls, but also has its origins in a Dog Beast that looked like a comet. For some reason Dog Beast turned into Bird Man. The bird man’s beak is often anthropomorphized into long noses. Tells humanity to behave by throwing invisible stones at them)

Ichimatsu - Nine-tailed Kitsune (So wise. So powerful)

Jyushimatsu - Inugami (Dog God that possesses people)

Todomatsu - Bake-Danuki (also known as tanuki, mischievous spirits, mostly known in pop culture for their BIG FAT NUTS)

Dayon is a miko, a shrine maiden. Hatabou is an Onmyoji, an exorcist, Dekapan is a kannushi, a shrine priest. Totoko and Iyami are regular civillians

Todomatsu - Ungaikyou (A haunted mirror that can be used to trap spirits. The spirits in the ungaikyou can manipulate the reflection shown on it’s reflection.)

A BUNCH OF PEOPLE REMINDED ME AND HOW COULD I FORGET THE BEST YOUKAI EVER. Osoma baby,,,, I’m so sorry..... Srsly, this skit was so good, I hope they make more skits like this where they make entirely new characters out of the framework of the sextuplets.

Osoma - A Zashiki-warashi, child spirits who live in store rooms or extra rooms, they died buried in their homes. Pranksters but meeting one is said to bring good fortunes to families. Osoma gets crossovered a lot with the other Youkai sets in JP fanart. A popular pairing is Dodomeki Chorosuke (from Denki Mystery) and Osoma also Kitsune Osomatsu (from the poster) and Osoma.

Choroe - Not necessarily a youkai, in fact in the episode she’s presented as just a regular human. But is theorized often to be a Yama-uba. An old woman banished to the mountains. She provides shelter to weary travelers (in the myth it’s just a humble shelter but you know. an inn is also considered a shelter) before eating them. In one story she eats the recently birthed baby of a woman who had to give birth in the mountains. 

Mononoke from Hesokuri Wars (May 2019)

Technically they are all the same type of being, Mononoke, but they look different from each other. Mononoke can posses individuals and cause suffereing and even death. And technically they aren’t Youkais but Onryos, vengeful spirits. But Onryos can also be used to refer to youkais and truthfully I just wanna include this set cause their designs are so cool looking. This set’s attacks contain glimpses of units of other sets.

This set is interesting cause rather than youkai alone, they are also musicians. This set also has another set like Hesokuri called The Great Youkai NEET which is basically the awakened versions, properly showcasing more of the youkai traits.

Jyushimatsu - Frog. Just. Frog. (could be a reference to the legend of Jiraiya, the ninja who could shapeshift into a frog/ride big frogs. His mouth is cover just like a ninja is too.)

Todomatsu - Kamaitachi (could be a reference to season 1 where Todomatsu wields a scythe)

Iyami - Oni (not sure if he’s any particular oni but he does have the horns and metal club)

Atsushi - Ibaraki-Douji? (White hair and singular horn, most imporant servant of Shuten-Douji)

Karamatsu - I’m not exactly sure but he seems like a Mizuchi, a water serpent/dragon. He also could be another legendary serpent/dragon though.

Jyushimatsu - I’m not sure, at first i thought it might be a crab youkai judging from the legs, but upon closer inspection he has spider webs on his robes, so they may be spider legs instead. Could be a Jorogumo, a youkai that wields fire breathing spiders with it’s spider legs

Todomatsu - Bakaneko (I think? The veil could be the napkin a bakaneko puts on it’s head)

Ayakashi Sextuplet’s Retro Halloween Cafe merch from Web Kuji (October 2020)

Thank you @gradelstuff​ for telling me about this! Ayakashi are Youkai that appear above nearby bodies of water. Although the youkais they’re dressed up as (or are?) aren’t really what you would call ayakashi? Although it’s cafe themed, it isn’t actually from a cafe collaboration. These designs are merchandise meant to be won through lottery. So if say you really love Kara and Choro’s designs (I do), then tough luck buddy!

Osomatsu - Oni

Karamatsu - Now you may think he’s Dodomeki since he’s covered with eyes, but turns out there are two other eye-relateed youkai! Mokumokuren is a youkai phenomenon where eyes appear from torn paper walls and tatami floors, initially i thought this was it given the checkered pattern he was wearing. But he might actually be a Hyakume, a youkai covered head to toe in yellow eyes specifically. Underneath those eyes is a body of flesh roughly in the shape of a man. This Youkai isn’t particularly malicious, only detaching one of it’s many eyes to follow you and survey you for criminal activiy. He might also be a BackBeard, a youkai allegedly from the US, err that would make him a cryptid I guess? A Backbeard is often characterized as a shadow with a Yellow eye with a red iris in the center. Note: Backbeard’s true origins are not known as there doesn’t seem to be any cryprid called a Backbeard, it first entered the Japanese public eye as an antogonist in the show Gegege no Kitaro. Although ever since then this “yokai” has appeared in other media and games in Japan.

Choromatsu - He isn’t exactly dressed as it (only themed as it) but the youkai he represents is the one he’s holding, a Kasa-obake, One of my favorite youkais and it’s literally iconic. Thought to be a Tsukomogami, an object that gains a spirit after it turns 100 years old.

Ichimatsu - Edit: I’m not sure but he might be a Kuchisake-Onna. In the description attached to his teaser, it makes mention of specifically his wide smile, his dos dagger and his beautiful shirt. A kuchisake onna is a yokai that wanders in the street covering her face with a mask (skull mask for ichi) and a sharp object (his dos dagger). TW GORE DESCRIPTION: She asks you if you think she’s attractive and depending on your answer she muders you with her scissors, plunging it into you OR she takes off her mask showing her wide smile, her mouth slit at the corners to her ears and asks “how about now?” and depending on your reaction she cuts you in half with her sharp object OR she slits the corners of your mouth to look like hers. END DESCRIPTION. Ichi has the mask, sharp object, wide smile and “attractiveness”. Obviously it would be inappropriate to portray ichi in the same fashion as the kuchisake onna so he was probably given the internal organ tattoos to represent the gory yokai. (internal organs usually = gore in japan). This is speculah and he might be another youkai but this is all i can think of rn.

Jyushimatsu - sailor themed Jiangshi. Jiangshi are basically Zombies originally from Chinese culture. They hop around, and crave for life force. this little jyushimatsu has taken to tomato juice instead. (Bonus: the zombie that osomatsu is in the zombie set in hesokuri wars is also a Jiangshi)

Todomatsu - Kitsune (sly fox)

“The Night Path” Youkai from Osomatsu-san Season 3 Episode 6 (November 2020)

The latest and what sparked me to make this post tbh. This set reuses the Rokurobi design from the very first Youkaimatsu iteration! Full circle yo! I like to think of this set as an addition to the original youkaimatsu, since they’re both from the primary sources.

Jyushimatsu - Rokurobi (Again)

Totoko - Amabie (mermaid with three legs? prophesized about either good harvest or an epidemic, trivia: “Amabie” trended when Covid 19 hit the world)

Hatabou - Azukiarai (a youkai that originated from the sound of something like beans being washed near a river, anyone who comes near will fall into the river)

Dayon - Nopperabou (Faceless spirits that take the form of humans. They are harmless usually, they just scare humans)

Dekapan - Kappa (Mischievous River spirits)

That should be all of them!

What's osomatsu? I looked it up and found one manga suffixed kun and one san, and also a movie and a series?? I feel like the art is familiar but don't think I've read it... would you rec it? And if so where's a good place to start?

so osomatsu-kun is an old gag manga series from like the 60s that got adapted into an anime in the 60s and 80s. it’s about sextuplets getting into shenanigans and several other reoccurring characters like the girl next door, a conman, a scrappy orphan, etc. and since it was pretty old and pretty popular there’s a fair amount of references to it nowadays (e.g. one of susie deltarune’s startled sprites is a reference to iyami’s signature pose). I haven’t read or watched a lot of it but from what I’ve seen it can be charming and goofy. I’m pretty sure someone gets held at knifepoint for some reason.

osomatsu-san is a 2015 gag anime that ages the characters up to early 20s and turns them into useless horny neets. while the original had the brothers as more of a unit, the new anime gave them very distinct personalities. the manga has extra stories based on the anime. it was really, really, REALLY popular like 5 years ago. each episode might have one (or more) of 3 types of skits:

mundane character skits (e.g. karamatsu monologues about everybody’s mahjong strategy! everybody picks out hypothetical pizza orders and relentlessly dunks on each other! osomatsu thinks one of the brothers stole his wallet!) (unironically these are some of my favorite skits)

slightly-to-extremely unhinged character skits (e.g. ichimatsu’s cat can read minds! jyuushimatsu starts thinking about existential stuff which starts breaking down the entire world into its semantic essentials! todomatsu is fired from the show and replaced by an american actor!)

completely unrelated skits that (usually) uses the existing characters as templates with varying degrees of characterization carrying over (e.g. jyuushimatsu is being interviewed by choromatsu for a job! karamatsu (who isn’t karamatsu) and a genderbent todomatsu (who isn’t todomatsu) go to an inn and meet a small girl who’s the guardian spirit of the room, osomatsu (not osomatsu)! an adaptation of a charlie chaplin skit!)

as for whether or not I’d rec it……….. n-no. that doesn’t mean it’s not good at all, or you won’t like it, but 1) I don’t really like rec’ing things with vulgar humor because it’s a huge hit-or-miss range, and 2) since it’s an irreverent gag anime with the premise of Ha Ha Useless Stupid Virgins there can be a bunch of different caveats episode-by-episode. it’s not EVERY skit but stuff like fatphobia or transmisogyny or suicide does come up as a punchline more than once and one of the genderbend designs for jyuushimatsu is supposed to be an extreme gyaru look but it comes across very blackface.

the way osomatsu hooks you in is that, with all the personalities of the brothers, if you’re someone that gets invested in a certain character archetype, or a certain sibling dynamic, there are a lot of very good character skits that show it off. if you look for it, there’s also some surprisingly good character consistency/development across some skits, e.g. during s1 karamatsu is mostly a doormat, during s2 there’s a skit where choromatsu tells him to knock it off and be more honest, during s3 there’s an episode where the brothers are asking what pizza he’d want and he’s like ‘haha! anything you guys choose would be fine by me!’ and when they push him for more he goes ‘fine if you want the truth I think this topic is fucking stupid I just wanted to end the conversation’. like they don’t change enough to disrupt the status quo, but there is attention to detail that shows the writers are genuinely aware of their own characters. I’ve also heard that the writers actually targeted a female demographic, and I can kind of see it in terms of… while it’s a horny gag anime with dudes as the main characters, it’s never felt as Gross To Watch As A Gal as some other stuff. I think it’s because it’s horny but not sexy. nothing about this anime is sexy.

Oh actually one more fun fact, the first ep of s1 got completely redacted because it had a bunch of spoofs and parodies of stuff and—from what I’ve vaguely heard—some big name studio guy who is a big fan of anpan man got pissed off. You can’t find that episode at all unless you go to illegal anime sites probably (lol).

Osomatsu: ‘You don’t remember him’ still burns a hole into his mind. He took some time trying to find his confidence again to face you. But after some time, he finally did and tried his best to regain your memories. Osomatsu takes you to where he first met you, your favorite place to have dinner, showed you some pictures the two of you took. But every effort he pushed, you still don’t remember him at all. 

He hid it from you, but he cries himself to sleep, knowing for a fact that you don’t remember the memories you two have made. The more you see him as he puts more effort into regaining your memories, the more you notice the eyebags under his eyes. He covers it all up with his jokes and laughs, but it wasn’t enough to convince you that he was okay. But despite all his efforts from a stranger, you began to fall for him. It was luck, or was it just fate? You take a moment to reconsider, knowing that Osomatsu still loved the old you, and not the new you.

But you can’t help but want to confess to starting a new with him. New memories, new stories, and happy smiles. When you tell him that you’re feelings came back to you, but not your memories, Osomatsu would be ecstatic and hug you close, letting out all his pent up emotions of frustration and sadness onto you. He’s so happy that he’s managed to regain your loving feelings to him. But as said before, he’d be happy to start anew with you. Just as long as you’re in it. 

Karamatsu: He tried everything. And when I mean everything, I mean everything. Karamatsu showed and took you to places and pictures where the two of you had dates. He was not going to give up on you. But every time you would not remember something that was so meaningful to him, it would squeeze his insides out from sadness.

 He would sometimes tear up and break down next to you, knowing that you don’t remember the important things to him during your relationship. But when you realize that you’re feelings were starting to return to you, you would grow a bit embarrassed when he put any effort into everything to try and make you remember things. You felt guilty that you won’t get to remember all the memories but only reformed your feelings towards him.

One night, you sucked up a breath and confessed your feelings to him. When you say your confession, it would be completely silent on his end. You would turn to him, anxious. But your anxiety would be replaced with worry when you see tears rush down his cheeks, smiling throughout all his snot and tears running down his face. 

“I love you, my sweet!” is something he’d say, struggling to find the right words to express that he’s so happy that you love him even after losing your memories. He would be a bit upset that you don’t remember all of your old memories but would be more than happy to start all over again. 

Choromatsu: He’d be an emotional and nervous bunch. Choromatsu would put an effort to try to regain your memories but soon enough, he would start to give up. He wants you to remember him, he wants to be in your arms once more. It would be sort of awkward between the two of you because he would be strangely silent and sometimes wipe tears in his eyes when you’re not looking.

Choromatsu would give up a bit, but would sometimes show you a photo or invite you to a place where the two of you guys had a date. But it wouldn’t really be constant because he’s worried that it’d might overwhelm you or make you annoyed of his nagging of his efforts of you trying to restore your memory, so he keeps it a minimum. You took notice of his saddened eyes when the two of you hung out together, but you felt your feelings for the adoration of him to come back, falling for him once more. You kept it to yourself for a while, but after a while, you shouldn’t’ve kept it to yourself because Choromatsu would give up. 

One night, Choromatsu would confess that he’s going to give up because he feels like he’s so focused on trying to restore your memories when you’re in charge of it, not him. He apologizes and slowly breaks down in front of you, tears seeping down his soft cheeks as his speech goes slurred. That’s when you would have to confess to regain his confidence. 

When you tell him that you’re feelings were back, his sobs would just become silent all of the sudden. It’s honestly impressive on how he did that. Choromatsu wouldn’t say anything, but go up to you, bring you into a gentle hug as he cries into your neck. You would want to talk about it more later because his tears of grief turned into tears of happiness. 

Ichimatsu: Just like Choromatsu, he would put a minimal effort before he begins to give up. Ichimatsu would buy you your favorite snacks that you two often shared, listen to music with shared earbuds, feed the strays that have grown accustomed to you, et cetera. Every time he’s around you, he’d flash you a smile before frowning once again.

Ichimatsu wouldn’t be exactly verbal to try and regain your memories but rather shows you than tells you. He thinks it’s better.to show you your favorite place to date before you lost your memories. It would be mostly quiet between the two of you as he thinks more and more about what to show you. Sometimes when he’s in the middle of thinking, his self-deprecation flashes in his mind. One thought: ‘They won’t remember you’, and boom, his entire effort of regaining your memories for the day would be replaced with tears of grief. You would have to comfort him about it but tries to appeal. 

You would notice a pattern of concentration before he begins to tear up a few times a week and try your best to comfort him. That’s when you realized that your feelings for him came back. You would be a bit embarrassed and keep it to your self a bit before you confess to him, hoping that his feelings for you still haven’t changed. After inviting him to a cafe, and confess that you’re feelings came back, but not your memories. He’d be aghast, his eyes wide, and his mouth agape. He would try to form words but all he can form is choking noises. 

After a few seconds, he would ask, “...Why?” Before you can answer, he interrupts, “You had a chance to restart your life without me, why did you come back to me? You should have a better boyfriend...” He gets up to leave, but you stop him by hugging his waist and insist that you love him. Once you say that, he’ll break down. He would hold your hands around his waist before he starts to silently sob. He’s never been so happy that you would start your life with him, again. 

Jyushimatsu: Jyushimatsu would be very expressive to make you regain your memories. He would always have a smile on his face every time he reenacted something between the two of you before you lost your memories. But despite being all smiley, he’s broken inside.

 He wants to cry into your arms and just sleep with you like the good ol’ days. Just like Karamatsu, he would literally try everything for you to remember your old memories. But once he’s alone when the two of you say your goodbyes, his smile would wipe from his face and not even talk to his brothers. He would be so quiet in the house, it scared his brothers.

But once you realize your feelings for him, you would be excited to tell him. When you do tell him, his bottled up emotions would shatter because of all the happiness being replaced within himself. He’ll take you within his arms, and squeeze you into a tight hug as he cries and laughs with you. 

Todomatsu: Just like Ichimatsu, he would put minimal effort to regain your memories. He would show you pictures like he’s done before and take you places. He would start to get pissy but won’t say it because he knows that he can’t be angry for you when you did nothing wrong. 

Todomatsu gets all smiley and happy around you, always putting on his façade, but on the inside, he just wants to scream. But when you realize your feelings for him you would try to tell him but he would always interrupt you by saying something to regain your memorize or suddenly take you somewhere, interrupting your speech. But when you finally tell him, he would be shocked. He would take a few seconds before he kisses your forehead and says, “I know you always will.” But he’s literally crying of happiness inside.

yes. my thoughts on zaimoku are yes.

in fact before I fell into the choukei pit zaimoku was my one and only favorite combo, there’s just something that’s really appealing about their interactions - or maybe it’s more like a bunch of little somethings, like how todomatsu seems like he’s the one that responds to karamatsu’s painfulness most often and how they’re both interested in being fashionable/being liked/being seen as attractive and how they both hide behind facades, AND there’s the fact that todo’s thing in the sextuplet dynamic is that he’s the cute and spoiled youngest and kara’s thing is that he wants the others to admire him and think he’s a good brother so there’s a mutually beneficial relationship there
