Hello! Could I get a match-up? My name is Salem, and I would prefer a slasher if I could! I'm a She/Her bisexual (i have no preference on gender). I think you would capture the heart of Bubba Sawyer!

For starters, while it's not exactly the same as yours, Bubba also has curly, fluffy hair! He loves that your hair is almost like his own, and I can see him being a very tactile person when it comes to his partner, so he'll often play with your curls if you let him (and he's very gentle with you).

Bubba is very similar to you in the sense that when he finds someone he likes, he wants to become very involved with them. He grew up with his brothers and is used to a tight-knit, close, family dynamic, so that absolutely extends to his significant other. The fact that this is mutual makes him feel so giddy!

Because Bubba unfortunately does much, if not most, of the heavy lifting and "messy" work around the Sawyer residence, there are days where the two of you won't see each other as much as you'd like to. One of his favorite things to do when returning to you after a long day is to pull you into his arms (he's still taller than you! He can, and will, tuck you right against him) so the two of you can cuddle the stress and aches of the day away.

Bubba tends to get extremely anxious and sometimes downright afraid on his bad days, and unfortunately none of his brothers really help him calm down. Your logical approach to situations, as well as him and his brothers, actually helps a lot as you can reassure him in a way his brothers either can't, or won't.

Speaking of his brothers, I think Nubbins and Chop Top would like you quite a bit! While Drayton may not exactly love your sarcastic sense of humor, Chop Top and Nubbins sure as hell love your sarcastic and dirty-minded jokes. The fact that you're protective of those you love means that you'll fit in well with them, as the Sawyers tend to be protective of their own (though Bubba would rather die than have you put in any sort of dangerous situation where you have to protect him, and/or his brothers!).

Bubba would give you any gifts he could that he thought you'd like: jewelry from victims, little trinkets he either made himself or found (tooth bracelet, anyone? Though if you preferred something less morbid, how about one of buttons?), and so on. If any art supplies were found in the belongings of a trespasser, they'd most definitely go to you! But anything photography related goes to Nubbins, though. Sorry.

You and Bubba huddled up on the furniture with static-y movies on the old television set would quickly become an incredibly common sight in the house. Bubba doesn't mind you talking about the films while watching them, either - you could talk his ear off about random trivia related to the movie you were watching for its entirety and he wouldn't care one bit!

Being Dog Parents with Chris (in pictures)

🐾 Who wouldn’t wanna be dog parents with Chris? Like that man is a DEDICATED dog dad.

🐾 You two take the role of being dog parents VERY seriously. Dodger is literally your and Chris’ son.

🐾 Obviously, Chris was the first parent, since he’s the one who adopted Dodger.

🐾 You met Chris when he already had Dodger. When you first met Dodger it was after your third date with Chris, he suggested that you guys head back to his place for a movie night and some drinks.

🐾 As soon as Chris opened the door you guys were greeted by a fluffy blur of brown and white. Dodger sniffed your hand once and immediately pounced onto you. Chris was about to scold Dodger, but stopped when he saw you giggle as Dodger gave your face kisses.

🐾 After that the rest was history! Dodger loved you as much as he loved Chris. Maybe a bit more, because you would sneak him some food under the table from your plate. Even though Chris scolded you for doing it (he’s a hypocrite bc he does it as well when you aren’t looking).

🐾 When Chris first referred to you as “Momma” to Dodger, you cried.

🐾 “Look bubba, it’s momma!” He once said after he and Dodger came back from a walk.

🐾 “Did you just refer to me as his momma?” You asked in shock as Dodger pawed at your legs and nudged your fingers.

🐾 Yes, it was a bit dramatic, but Dodger meant so much to Chris. Dodger was practically his son. The fact that he was referring to you as momma made you emotional because well— you guys are a family now.

🐾 Dodger was spoiled rotten when it came to you two. From countless amounts of squeaky toys to endless belly rubs, the dog was treated like a king in the Evans household.

🐾 You absolutely adore Dodger. He’s the most sweetest and cutest dog you’ve ever seen.

🐾 You and Chris have wayyyy too many pictures of Dodger in your camera roll. You had some polaroids of Dodger as well.

🐾 The pup was used to you and Chris pointing cameras at him that he just learned how to pose properly in front of a camera.

🐾 Most of these were road trips because both you and Chris didn’t want to cage up Dodger in an airplane for long hours.

🐾 Both of you wanted your son to be comfortable while traveling. Which is why road trips were better because you guys would be able to give him pee breaks and let him stretch his limbs out while you or Chris were buying things at 7/11 or a Wawa’s, etc.

🐾 Chris definitely doggy proofed his entire car. There were seat covers on the seat to avoid fur sticking onto them, the backseats were all down so Dodger could have the entire back + trunk of the car to himself, and he even had a little lunch bag that included kibble, bottles of water, and some treats (which you packed).

🐾 Chris had a list of dog friendly hotels and attractions that you guys could go to. Most of these family trips were outdoors, maybe included some camping and hiking.

🐾 It didn’t matter who it was, but Dodger was an absolute cuddle bug. He loved cuddles.

🐾 You could be chilling out on the bed, too lazy to get up, and Dodger would just peak his head behind the door with those doe puppy eyes. You would hear his nails tapping against the wooden floor and then all of a sudden he would hop onto the bed. He would probably lick your cheek or something before settling against you.

🐾 Chris would later find you two cuddled up in each other’s arms sleeping. He adored the bond you and his dog had because it was the two people (Dodger counts as a human😤) he loved the most in the world.

🐾 Though Chris and Dodger had some type of competition. The two were always competing for your attention.

what do you find attractive about spencer? many things obviously, but his mind definitely is at the top of the list. You adore his mind, you adore the way he can ramble for days at a time. if you need him to be quiet, you hug him or plant a soft kiss on his lips.

yes, for sure. you know that spencer would be a great dad, especially because of the way he is with kids. however, he wants to have one when he feels it’s safe. safe meaning not working at the bau. at the same time, he knows that he can’t protect his child from the world, so what’s stopping him?

spencer loves cuddling facing you with one of his arms securely wrapped around your waist. He pulls you as close to him as possible and lays your head on his shoulder. He nuzzles his head into your head and takes in the smell of your shampoo. then he places a light kiss on your head

spencer is the most gentle human being on the planet. he’s always patient and careful with you, he has one of the softest souls you’ve ever come across. he loves being gentle with you. he watches you when you’re sick, even though he despises germs. he loves to leave soft kisses all over you and he loves hugging you. your pet names for him match his actions towards you. you call him: bubba, sweet boy, my love, baby. he’s always looking out for you and he puts you first even though you tell him not to.

spencer isn’t the biggest fan of public affection, but he loves to hold your hand in private. When you and spence are alone, likes to do one of these two things, interlocking your fingers or he holds your hand and rubs circles into your palm.

spencer met you in a coffee shop and you were reading one of his favorite books. he sat down at your table and asked you about your thoughts on the book. even though you weren’t done yet, he could tell that your thought process is similar to his. when he found out that your thoughts aligned and how the way that you process is similar to his, he knew that you were someone worth getting close to.

sometimes, it’s never because of you, but his own insecurities. spencer trusts you a lot and he knows that you'll never hurt him, but it doesn’t stop his mind from wandering. when people are affectionate with you in public it makes him jealous. he furrows his brows and his hands clench because his mind is thinking would she like me better if i was more affectionate in front of other people?

spencer’s kisses are soft and affectionate, which makes him a good kisser in your eyes. he never rushes and he’s always gentle. it doesn’t matter if it’s a peck or a makeout session, most of the time he will take it slow.

you initiated the first kiss technically. you asked “can i kiss you?” and he responded with “yes.” you brought a hand to his cheek and slowly moved your lips in closer. when your lips connected it was magical, you smiled into the kiss and he did as well. then you giggled and pulled your lips from his.

spencer. you’re walking into your apartment with him after a date at a museum and you place your bag and coat down. spencer does the same and sits himself down on the couch. once you sit down, you turn on the television and spencer wraps his arm around your shoulder. you're slowly drifting to sleep and your head is falling onto spencer’s shoulder. when spencer thinks you're asleep he whispers “i love you so much, you’re my home and you make me feel safe in a corrupt world of madness.” what he didn’t know was that you were still awake, so you returned his words “i love you too bubba.”

M = Memory (What’s their favourite memory together?)

it was your first christmas together as a couple and you wanted to decorate a tree together. You dragged him to buy christmas decorations and a tree. the tree wasn’t big, but it was your tree. you guys decorated the tree with different color bulbs and other cool decorations. spencer was begging to put the star on top of the tree, so you let him. you baked cookies and made hot chocolate. Then you guys sat on the couch watching christmas movies and you fell asleep on each other.

N = Nickel (Do they spoil? Do they buy the person they love everything?)

spencer isn’t a very materialistic guy, he prefers intimate moments over items. however, when he does get you a gift he makes sure that it’s something meaningful.

O = Orange (What colour reminds them of their other half?)

soft colors, like pale yellows and neutrals. these colors are what make spencer feel at home and he sees you as his home. one of yellow’s meanings is clarity, that’s how spencer sees you, you help him see things.

P = Pet names (What pet names do they use?)

spencer doesn’t have a lot of pet names for you, but the ones he has are special to him. Spencer likes the classic pet names; sweetheart, honey and baby. occasionally he’ll swap those out for your nickname.

Q = Quaint (What is their favourite non-modern thing?)

spencer isn’t quite up to date with technology, so he likes almost everything that’s older. specifically he likes reading books and writing things in typewriters or by hand. he just thinks that there's something about it that makes him feel warm on the inside.

R = Rainy Day (What do they like to do on a rainy day?)

spencer loves curling up to you on the couch and reading to you on rainy days. he likes drinking a warm beverage like tea or hot chocolate. eventually, you’ll try to convince him to watch a show and then you guys fall asleep.

S = Sad (How do they cheer themselves/others up?)

spencer is pretty good at cheering you up, he always tries to make funny jokes or watch a funny movie with you. if he can’t make you feel better, he’ll just be there. he’ll ask you questions about why you're upset and try to find the root of the problem. however, he will never be pushy about these things, he just wants to be there and make you comfortable.

making spencer feel better is a hard task. normally he just shuts down when he gets like this, he’ll mope around the house and stay quiet. he thinks that he can get over the issue himself, but he can’t. It takes awhile for him to open up, but once he does, it never stops. at the end of the day, he just wants a hug and some cuddles.

T = Talking (What do they like to talk about?)

spencer loves to talk about literature and facts. he never has nothing to talk about because he can go on and on for days about anything, but literature is definitely his favorite.

U = Unencumbered (What helps them relax?)

you. you help spencer relax. whenever he’s in a room with you, his bundle of nerves just melt away.

V = Vaunt (What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?)

his knowledge. he’s not afraid to dish out facts around others, unless he’s told to stop. sometimes he can’t help it, but he’s still so proud of his mind.

being with spencer is great, but it’s easy to feel small compared to him. Spencer tries to make sure that never happens, he’s your hype man. he hypes you up for anything like fixing something or decorating a room.

W = Wedding (When, how, where do they propose?)

it was at a team dinner. it wasn’t in front of the team though, he pulled you out to rossi’s backyard and got down on one knee. when you went back inside, you didn’t say anything because you wanted to see how long it would take the team to notice. let's just say, the team found out within minutes because spencer couldn’t keep a smile off of his face.

X = Xylophone (What’s their song?)

spencer doesn’t really listen to modern music, he listens to mostly classical music. however one time, he’s listening to music with the team and garcia puts one fool for you by zayn malik. it makes him think of you almost instantly. the ballad with hints of piano making him think of your softness and his love for you.

Y = Yes (Do they ever think of getting married/proposing?)

yes.  all the time after a year of dating, but very early on he had a small sense that you were going to marry him. it didn’t become real until you met his mom, diana reid loved you from the moment she laid eyes on you.

Z = Zebra (If they wanted a pet, what would they get?)

A cat. it’s low maintenance with your work schedules and it can roam around on its own.

Let's talk about the Timephoon Episodes

This is such an old topic of discourse but after reading many fanfics, videos, and some posts on the subject I have found little divergent takes on the whole subject.

While commentators are of the mind that, for the most part, the punishment and execution of said punishment for Louie's actions were partially if not fully justified but how she went about it was wrong.

Some fanfic writers and some subsects of the fandom but they are much more critical and often in a more black and white interpretation. Which is valid for vent art. However, I find both these portrayals to be lacking in some nuance.

Specifically when it it comes to who's to blame for the next 3 episodes, and to me, its more than just Della (and Louie but there really isn't much discourse here).

Let's start with Timephoon:

This pretty much solidifies their relationship throughout the episode[Also sorry for no captions]. Multiple times Della is shown to have a very laissez faire style of parenting as she primarily wants her kids to enjoy being kids and having fun. This is probably in part to her personality in general - which is probably what Beakley assumes here - however it is also her want to be loved by her children and even more critically, she doesn't ever want them to suffer like she did. Above all else, she wants them to be happy and feel confident in themselves. We see this in all the previous episode with her and her kids - From Dewey and reassuring him that he doesn't need to prove himself to her [notably in this episode she only shows concern when Dewey himself is in danger, she doesn't give a shit when he almost kills her] to Huey and helping him to have the most fun he possibly can, to even Webby and making sure that she also feels confident in herself regardless in how she goes about things.

Bringing up all these adventures does raise some pretty damning hypocrisy. Della encourage Dewey's reckless behavior in his episode. The lesson at the end wasn't, okay maybe we shouldn't be going on dangerous adventures, it was its okay to be afraid and you don't need to prove to me that you're great I already know you are. Huey's message was similar, albeit more low stakes. Webby's lesson wasn't even that she shouldn't be trying to take such risks to find adventure in the future, it was just a lesson in not being disappointed when things don't work the way you want.

So why wasn't Louie's adventure treated the same? Well... let's look at some more examples of Beakley V Della this episode before we answer that -

This is right before the kids find Bubba, Beakley's reaction is what most people would consider to be parental as she is concerned for the safety of the kids running out in a hurricane. Again we see Della acting casual.

Once Bubba is inside and Huey geeks out about him, Beakley actually smiles bc she knows that something like this means a lot to Huey [keep this in mind for l8r]. She only gets serious after Della says it's neat without much after thought so she gives the lesson of the episode - "Small problems become big problems later if not prevented early."

Next we have Della's faux attempt at being strict with her kids. Letting the irresponsible thing happen as long as they are "safe". While also harkening back to her previous episodes where she also is shown to have this attitude that "the kids can do anything as long as they are safe with ME or Scrooge or another SAFE adult", it is also good to note SCROOGE'S expression here to her patting herself on the back for her parenting. Now he could just be confused as to why Della is taking this "lesson" as a win, but he could be noticing that she really doesn't know what she is doing but unlike Beakley doesn't make any attempts to correct this.

Another scene that people often forget when reviewing this episode, just like with all her other kids she at first takes LOUIE'S side and decides they should just roll with the punches like always. Which honestly is sort if valid because that's kinda Scrooge's whole MO; though he also had others to there to keep him afloat but we all know someone like Scrooge, Della, and the kids hardly see that. I also want to hammer home that, just like with the other boys, she doesn't shy away from displaying that she loves them ALL. A few seconds later, it's subtle but she is shown smiling and patting Louie on the head because like the other kids she just wants him to feel supported. If I was to be critical, I would say this is possibly because she likes the IDEA of her boys more than them but I mean - this is pretty much everyone's attitude towards kids. It might be amplified bc of her trauma but it's not unusual. But even still I would argue that she mainly does love the boys for who they are as she is excited to get to know them.

After Della figures that they are looking for a "master thief", Scrooge and Beakley immediately know it's one of the kids. Shocking her since she later states she is of the belief that her kids are too "good" to do something like this. I also want to bring attention, again, to Beakley smiling (ik im putting a lot of stock into expressions but animation tends to do stuff like this for a reason). She is smiling at whom she expects is Dewey for messing with time and space. Bc even if she planned to scold him, she knows it's just their normal. Scrooge seems to also be of the same mind. Later Beakley gives a really good line about "Even good kids can do dumb things. We got to make sure those dumb things don't turn into bad things like destroying all of existence!".

Mrs. B exists stage right

All jokes aside, this must have been a nightmare for all of them but especially Della. She had just finally admitted that she was out of her depth and made another mistake in parenting. But now it seems like she lost her chance to rectify that. Because for all she knows, Mrs. B will never come back. This is import-ALLRIGHTWEGETIT

Della is then shown explicitly worried about her family. Emotions, insecurities and fear obviously getting the best of her. We don't know exactly what she is thinking but we know she is terrified of the possibility of losing one of her kids. When she asks about Louie, she probably thinks he must have disappeared without her knowing. That she might have already failed more than she could know, because she wasn't there to protect him. She doesn't know - she is "Della Duck" and she doesn't know how to fix this. She didn't expect everything to go so horribly wrong, but that's her theme isn't it?

She is both relieved and understandably PISSED when finding that Louie was responsible for almost destroying the fabric of reality (let me say this again, nearly destroying the fabric of reality). She goes scold both herself and her son about the danger he put them in. Later we see Della, the last one leave and seeing almost everyone she loves vanish. We don't know how long each of the characters who left were in the past but we can assume it was long enough to have to change clothes. Yeah this was probably more of a visual gag but like, the other past characters didn't change their outfits when they came to the present so - (also Launchpad was specific about knowing how the world ends so he had to be there enough for him to understand it). Side note someones gotta write fanfic of these characters time misadventures. I wonder if Dewey and Webby ran into Agent 22.

[Last picture of the infamous scene, side note did anyone notice Launchpad NODDING his head when Della mentioned his time schemes could've cost them their future? He's the only one who knows what happened so maybe Louie's misadventure has more impact than we think-]

Anyways, yeah we know what was said here. But I think it's important to see the reaction the other adults (sorry LP, and Gryo i GUESS) have here BC this is basically why I made this post. What Della decided to do was unquestionably the wrong decision, at least her way of going about it and I will not absolve her of her many MANY mistakes. However, let's remember she wasn't alone in any of this. She was with other parental figures who KNOW more about her kids than she does.

After Louie leaves, why did they think it was good to encourage this course of action? Why did they think giving full parental control to a PTSD, trauma survivor who barely got back less than a month ago was a good idea? Sure it's one thing to not want to overstep your boundaries but are you telling me they wouldn't want to guide her in the right direction at least? We KNOW both Beakley AND Scrooge have their grievences towards Della's parenting strategy or lack there of. Beakley so far doing the most to try and put her in the right direction (which speaks volumes to the problems Scrooge has).

So why wouldn't they explain that, hey, maybe taking away the one thing your kid thinks he is good at ISNT a great idea? Why didn't either say anything about their two day vacation? Something that came up presumingly on a whim and might of prevented (although i doubt it) Louie from trying to steal w/ time? He might have considered pushing back time schemes at least 3 days later. While Mrs. Beakley might be less aware of Louie's insecurities and ambitions, Scrooge definitely isn't. He should have talked to her, and hey we don't see what happens before they leave so maybe MAYBE they did. But again, I doubt it. Seeing as how they all agreed with her at the end, I don't see them trying to meddle with her.

But they should've. They are both experienced guardians and they have nothing to say to her? Plus Donald (goddamn it i almost finished a post w/o him) have THEM responsibility to take care of the kids NOT Della. So they are obligated to help her. Really, the other option other than just well negligence would be not thinking this punishment was a big deal. I wish this aspect was also scrutinized just as much as Della and Louies role in this arc.

Beakley and Scrooge (more so Scrooge) are just as much to blame in what happens as Della if not MORE since they know of her situation in only a way that an experience adult can. There is no excuse for their negligence.

Get after them!” Drayton screamed through the house but you were already on it. You darted out the back door, following the escaped man into the with a small knife you kept in your pocket, just in case. You knew Drayton would be furious with Bubba when you got back. It was his job to make sure no one gets away, but he was sometimes overwhelmed and would forget to check things. You tried your best to help him but he would gently push you away with a soft smile. He didn’t like you getting so close to people who might want to hurt you. He was a sweet soul at heart. He truly cared for his family and would do anything to make sure everyone was safe and happy. Sometimes it was harder than others, but he tried. You heard the familiar buzz of the chainsaw following you closely behind. He was following. He was slower than you were, so would need some time to catch up. If you could just get the guy to his knees, maybe make him stumble for a bit, it would allow Bubba the time he needed to catch up. You could just see the figure running in front of you, and you used the adrenaline to push you fast. The man was probably only running on adrenaline and would soon wear out. But you didn’t know when. Sure, you could keep up with him until he collapses but what if its near the main road where those trucks pass through? You would need to get him now. Pushing yourself, you run as fast as you could and launched yourself at the man. You managed to grab his jacket and pull him to the floor with you. you managed to slash his shoulder and press your knee into a wound on his leg, but the man was strong and pushed you off him. Your knife dropped from your hand and fell near the man as he tried to get to his feet again, but it was too late for him as Bubba charged into the fight. He pinned the man to the floor but not before the man got a hold of your knife and swipe it up, slashing Bubbas cheek. you cried out, reaching out as if you were able to turn back time and take away the action. But you couldn’t. you saw Bubba faulter, and that gave the man enough time to go for Bubbas obviously sensitive issue. His face. the man ripped the mask away from Bubba face, throwing it to the side. Only he didn’t couldn’t on Bubba getting more angry. Bubba stumbled to his feet and grabbed the chainsaw before driving it down into the mans stomach and side. the man screamed but it quickly became drowned by blood as his body convulsed with the chainsaw and all the life left. You sighed out of relief, glad it was over. But then you saw Bubba turn off the chainsaw and start to look around wildly. he looked at you with wide eyes as you stood up before twisting away from you. Bubba cried out, covering his face desperately with his hands. He didn’t seem to care for the mangled body that still had the chainsaw buried in it. No, all he cared about was the fact his mask had fallen off. “bubba?” you tried to sooth him, racing to his side and placing your hands on his should. But then it gave him a fight. You felt yourself get pushed back, falling backwards as Bubba scrambled to get away from you. you landed on your back, gasping a little from the force he had pushed you. Bubba never realised his own strength. “Bubba?” you whispered, staring up at the man as he desperately looked around for the mask but still tried to avoid your gaze. “bubba?” you said, a bit more forcefully, pushing yourself to your feet. You walked over to him; a bit slower than before. But he pushed your shoulder back, waving a free hand at you as if warning you to stay back. But you pushed forward again when you saw the blood seeping through his fingers. “You’re bleeding!” you gasp, covering your mouth with your hands before rushing to him, carful to dodge his third pushback. You grasped at his hand, attempting to pry it away but he shook his head and grabbed your wrist. “Bubba! You’re hurt. Please, let me see.” You beg him, your eyes watering. You knew if you hadn’t have seen him get hurt in the fight, he would have hidden the wound until you got better or badly infected. You tried to stay close but he held you back at arm’s length. You fought against him, but you were sore and tiered, no match for his strength. But the more he refused, the more worked up you were getting. You hated seeing him hurt and add it with the fact he no longer trusted you enough to see his face made your heart break. “Bubba, please.” You begged, your voice cracking as you used your free hand to try pry his fingers from round your wrist. Again, he didn’t know his own strength and it was starting to hurt you. Bubba let out a desperate groan as he continued to look for the mask. ““I don’t care what you look like, I never have! I love you for you. but you push me away and I cant take it anymore.” You broke down, sobbing almost hysterically. Because this felt like the true beginning of the end. You had always loved him, and always been by his side. But now that he wouldn’t even show his face to you surely symbolised that he couldn’t trust you enough and it would only lead to more issues down the line. Bubba froze, his eyes wide as he looked back to you in shock. He hated seeing you cry and would normally get angry at Nubbins or Chop Top if they went too far and made tears fall from your eyes. it was very very rarely him. In fact, he couldn’t remember even being the reason for you to shed a tear. Slowly, the hand that had been covering his face lowered and the hand wrapped round your wrist loosened. In an instant, you wrapped your arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. It took Bubba a moment to realise what you were doing since you had bolted to him when you had the chance, but he was quick to wrap his arms around you and hold you. you had made sure your face was on the opposite side of the side he was injured on. Bubba felt a rush of guilt again for making you so upset. He knew you wouldn’t care, he truly did. But that didn’t stop him from wanting to shield you away from the horrors beneath his mask. And now you were in his arms in tears because he had refused you. Bubba never said no to you, everyone could agree on that. Drayton knew you came before anything else. If you were upset or ill, Bubba would point blank ignore whatever was said in order to take care of you. He just wanted to protect you. Pulling back, you wipe your tears of your sleeve as you look at the cut on his cheek. It wasn’t bad at all, not even that deep. It was just that when he had been covering it with his hand, he must have pushed down on or around it and caused it to bleed worse. Bubba looked down, feeling slightly ashamed under your still slightly teary eyes. Reaching up, you cup the cheek that wasn’t cut and guided his gaze up to meet your own. his eyes raised sheepishly to meet your own, but once they did, he was glad. you had a soft smile on your lips before you leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. Bubba knees buckled and he every nearly collapsed. Your relationship had always been confusing, even since you were teenagers. He truly loved you, but things got so complicated that things between you both were put on the back burner for now. He still held you close when he could, still liked to feel your arms slip around him as he cuddled into him. He lived for the nights you would come to him after a bad dream and crawl into bed beside him. Occasionally, you would kiss him through the mask, but you didn’t like it and he knew it. You pull back a little, feeling how tense Bubba had gotten during the kiss. “I love you.” you whispered softly, lovingly to him. Bubba nodded desperately as he grabbed your sides and gave you a quick kiss as if returning the affections. “BUBBA!” Draytons voice cut through the air like a knife as his voice made you both jump and look around. You weren’t frightened of Drayton in anyway, but you knew he was annoyed and angry right now. “We’d better get him back.” You nod to the body which lay a few feet away. Bubba nodded but was a little reluctant to let go of you. once he had pulled himself away, he set to work grabbing the feet of the body and then the chainsaw. your eyes fell on the mask which lay only slightly visible in the bushes to the side. you ducked down and grabbed it, holding it against your chest as you went to Bubba. “Bubba, do you think you could take it off sometimes? Just for me?” you ask as his eyes fall on you and the mask. You expected him to grab it from your hands and desperately pull it back onto his head to cover his face from you again. but he surprised you. He glanced between you and the mask before his eyes returned to yours. There was a softness in his gaze and the way he looked at you that always made everything seem like it was going to be okay. Nodding, Bubba smiled at you. You couldn’t help the grin that spread over your features as you stepped closed. Since his hands were full with the feet and chainsaw, you raised the mask and pulled it over his curled locks for him. But just before you could pull it past his mouth, you pressed a quick kiss to his lips. When you pulled it fully down and stepped back, you could see how his eyes were beaming from behind the mask at you. It seemed that a new agreement was reached between you both that day. Bubba became more comfortable with you and would often take his mask off on his own accord. Maybe it had something to do with the fact you would reward him each time with kisses and affection, but you didn’t mind that. Kisses were a good form of rewards.
