Unfortunately no, it's right here between the third and fourth buttons

I don't know, I might add patches to each side in black wool or velvet, or find a way to incorporate some other symmetrical detailing so it looks intentional and not like I'm covering something up. I'm going to have to study some other tracht jackets and see what could possibly be done
