Summary: being a volleyball player who bruises easily welp...
I may be a D1 volleyball player, but that doesn’t mean I have the grace of one. Between diving for saves and my uncanny ability to walk into stationary objects, bruises are just part of my personality at this point. My girlfriends, however, aren’t amused.
I yelped as my knee smacked against the edge of the coffee table, my phone nearly slipping from my grasp as I stumbled onto the couch.
"Again?" Azzi’s voice was filled with exasperated amusement from across the room.
I glanced up to see my girlfriend standing in the doorway, arms crossed, an eyebrow raised in that way she always did when she caught me being, well… me.
“What do you mean again?” I tried to play it off, rubbing my knee as if that would magically make the pain disappear.
Azzi stepped forward, eyes narrowing as she scanned me like she was about to interrogate a suspect. “Do you know how many times I’ve seen you run into something this week?”
I shrugged. “Not that many?”
Azzi sighed, dropping her gym bag onto the chair before kneeling in front of me, her fingers gently rolling up my sweatpants to reveal the fresh bruise forming just above my knee. She winced. “Babe…”
“It’s not that bad!” I reassured her, even though I could already tell it was going to turn some deep purple shade by tomorrow.
Azzi looked up at me, her lips pressed into a thin line. “You’ve got bruises on your legs, your arms—” she grabbed my hand, flipping it over to reveal another mark near my wrist. “How does this even happen?”
I blinked at the bruise on my wrist like I was seeing it for the first time. “Huh. Didn’t even notice that one.”
Azzi groaned, dragging a hand down her face. “That does not make me feel better.”
“You’re being dramatic,” I teased, reaching to tuck a stray curl behind her ear. “I’m fine, baby.”
Azzi didn’t look convinced, but before she could start fussing again, the front door opened. Paige walked in, holding a smoothie in one hand and a protein bar in the other. She took one look at the two of us and immediately knew something was up.
“What happened now?” Paige asked, raising an eyebrow as she set her things down.
“She hit her knee on the table,” Azzi reported like she was snitching to the principal.
Paige sighed, walking over to get a closer look. “Didn’t you just have a bruised knee from last game, causeyou forgot your knee pads?”
“yeah, yeah, I have two knees, Paige. It’s a different one this time.”
Paige gave me a deadpan look. “That’s not the flex you think it is.”
Azzi leaned back on her heels, still sitting in front of me. “We need to start wrapping her in bubble wrap.”
Paige nodded, clearly on board. “Or at least put her in some padded gear off the court.”
I groaned, flopping dramatically against the couch cushions. “You both are being ridiculous. It’s just some bruises. It happens when you play volleyball.”
Paige scoffed. “Yeah, but you also bruise from walking.”
I shot her a glare, and she had the audacity to smirk.
Azzi reached up, brushing her fingers gently over my knee. “Does it hurt?”
I bit my lip, trying to ignore the way her touch sent a small shiver up my spine. “Not really.”
Paige crossed her arms. “Okay, and the ones on your arm and hip?”
I hesitated.
Paige smirked, calling my bluff. “Yeah. That’s what I thought.”
Azzi sighed, standing up and offering me a hand. “C’mon. We’re doing a cold plunge.”
My stomach dropped. “Absolutely not.”
Paige tilted her head. “You want those bruises to heal faster, don’t you?”
I narrowed my eyes. “Not at the cost of my dignity.”
Azzi gave me a pointed look. “Y/N, you know the protocol.”
I crossed my arms stubbornly. “I hate the protocol.”
“Too bad,” Paige said, already walking toward the bathroom. “Ice bath. Ten minutes.”
I shot up from the couch, bolting in the opposite direction. “Over my dead body!”
Unfortunately, dating two elite basketball players meant my speed was nothing compared to theirs. Before I even made it three steps, Azzi had me by the waist, lifting me off the ground.
"AZZI, NO—"
"AZZI, YES," she shot back, carrying me toward the tub. Paige was already there, filling it with ice and water, a wicked grin on her face.
“You two are evil!” I shrieked, flailing uselessly in Azzi’s arms.
Paige turned, feigning offense. “Evil? Us? We’re just making sure our girlfriend can still walk by the end of the season.”
Azzi lowered me toward the water, and I started thrashing harder. “No! Let me go! This is illegal!”
“You’ll thank us later,” Paige sang as she grabbed my legs.
The second my skin met the water, I let out a blood-curdling scream.
“OH MY GOD—”
Paige and Azzi held me down as I tried to climb out, their laughter mixing with my suffering.
"You need to stay in for at least fifteen minutes," Azzi reminded me.
"FIFTEEN MINUTES?! I'M GONNA DIE IN HERE!"
Paige snorted. “A little dramatic, don’t you think?”
I glared at both of them. “I hate you.”
Paige smirked. “You love us.”
I pouted, my teeth chattering. “Not right now, I don’t.”
By the time they finally let me out, I was a shivering mess. I snatched a towel and stormed off to the bedroom, wrapping myself up like a burrito and refusing to acknowledge either of them.
Forty-five minutes later, I was still sulking. Well, sulking and on Instagram Live with KK.
“So, Y/N, how was your game?” KK asked, propping her phone up.
“Game was good,” I muttered. “Got a few bruises, though.”
KK laughed. “When don’t you?”
“That’s exactly what Paige and Azzi said.” I rolled my eyes. “They held me down in an ice bath. Held me down like I was being waterboarded.”
From across the room, Paige and Azzi gasped dramatically.
“Wow,” Paige said, crossing her arms.
“Talking about us behind our backs?” Azzi added, raising an eyebrow.
“I said what I said,” I deadpanned.
KK cackled. “Nah, they did you dirty, girly pop.”
Paige and Azzi exchanged a look before climbing onto the bed, sandwiching me between them.
“You mad at us, baby?” Paige cooed, kissing my cheek.
Azzi wrapped her arms around my waist. “You should be thanking us.”
I huffed, still playing up my grudge. “Bribery won’t work.”
Paige smirked. “Not even if we order your favorite food?”
I hesitated. “...What kind of food are we talking?”
Azzi grinned. “Whatever you want, babe.”
I sighed, finally relenting. “Fine. But next time, I get a say in my own suffering.”
“No promises,” Paige said with a wink.
I groaned, but as I let them pull me closer, their warmth melting away my last bits of annoyance, I figured maybe—just maybe—the ice bath was worth it after all. Maybe.

Been working on smth…
Jamie Tartt x ???? Fem! reader
TW: suggestive innuendos, kissing, cursing
A/N: Hi guys I’ve been working on smth new! Here’s a snippet. I wanted to see your reactions to it (and maybe you can guess what Jamie’s and Y/N backstory is) or maybe you have any other ideas for it.
The first thing Y/N registered was warmth—soft, steady, and entirely too comfortable. The second was the distinct feeling of being trapped. She blinked against the morning light filtering through Jamie’s curtains, her cheek pressed against a firm, bare chest, his arm slung lazily around her waist.
Her breath hitched.
Jamie was already awake. She could feel his gaze on her before she even looked up. When she did, he was smirking, tousled hair a mess against his pillow, eyes heavy with sleep but sharp with amusement.
“Mornin’, love.” His voice was low, husky from sleep, tinged with something else—something knowing.
Y/N swallowed. Her mind raced through fragmented memories—his hands on her waist, her name a rasp against his lips, laughter between tangled sheets, the way he had kissed her like he never wanted to stop.
She shifted slightly, and his grip instinctively tightened, fingers splayed across her back as if he had no intention of letting go just yet.
“Jamie,” she started, voice quieter than she intended.
He hummed, watching her with that infuriatingly pleased expression. “Yeah?”
Her lips parted, but no words came. What was she supposed to say? Good morning, thanks for ruining me last night?
Jamie, as always, seemed to enjoy her silence. His smirk softened, eyes flickering over her face before he reached up, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
“Y’look good in my bed,” he murmured. “Knew you would.”
Her stomach flipped.
She really should say something. Something normal, something casual—Haha, yeah, fun night, mate!—but she was still pressed against his bare skin, still feeling the ghost of last night on her lips, and Jamie knew it.
So she did the only thing she could.
She buried her face back into his chest with a groan.
Jamie chuckled, his hold on her tightening, his lips brushing the top of her head. “Yeah, alright,” he muttered, voice full of something dangerously close to fondness. “Five more minutes.”
Y/N had absolutely no excuse.
No drunken mishaps to blame, no moment of weakness fueled by too many shots of tequila. No, she had walked into this with full awareness, with every nerve in her body on high alert, and still—still—she had let Jamie Tartt kiss her like he had every right to, touch her like he already knew the shape of her body by heart, and pull her into his bed like this was inevitable.
And the worst part?
It felt inevitable.
She could try to deny it, but it wouldn’t change the way she had let herself lean into his touch, the way she had curled into him in her sleep like she belonged there.
Jamie’s fingers traced lazy circles against her back, warm and absentminded, like he did this every morning, like he wasn’t at all concerned about what happened next.
She, on the other hand, was very concerned.
Clearing her throat, she peeked up at him, only to find that infuriating smirk still playing at his lips.
“I can feel you thinking,” he murmured. “It’s too early for that, love.”
Her stomach flipped at the rasp in his voice, but she forced herself to focus.
“How did we even get here?” she mumbled, more to herself than him.
Jamie tilted his head like he was actually considering the question. “Well,” he drawled, his smirk widening, “if I remember right, you were lookin’ at me all night like you wanted to snog me senseless, and I, bein’ the gentleman I am, simply obliged.”
Y/N groaned, shoving at his chest, but he didn’t budge. “That is not what happened.”
Jamie arched a brow. “Oh? So you weren’t the one who dragged me back to yours last week after that pub quiz?”
She glared at him. “That was different.”
“How?”
“Because I was frustrated!”
Jamie grinned. “Yeah, and I helped with that, didn’t I?”
She let out an exasperated sigh, but Jamie wasn’t finished.
“Alright, so what about the other night? When you kept findin’ excuses to touch me? Yeah, yeah, don’t give me that look, I clocked it, Y/N. Thought I was gonna have to start chargin’ you for all the times you grabbed my arm.”
Her face burned. “It was dark, I needed to make sure you were still there.”
Jamie’s smirk softened, something flickering behind his blue eyes. “I’m always here.”
Her breath caught.
He said it so easily, like it was a fact, like he wasn’t completely rewriting the rules between them with a single sentence.
Jamie studied her for a moment before nudging her chin up with his knuckles. “You gonna run?” he asked, voice quieter now.
She should. That was the smart thing to do. But running felt impossible when he was looking at her like this, like he was waiting for her, like he had been waiting longer than either of them wanted to admit.
So she swallowed, exhaled, and did the only thing she could think of.
She kissed him.
And Jamie—smug, beautiful, impossible Jamie—sighed against her lips like he had just won the easiest bet of his life.

Love You More Than Chocolate Frogs!
fred x reader fluff you're absolutely killing yourself studying for the NEWTs and your boyfriend decides to give you a little surprise one night.
submit your request!
y/n: your name y/h: your house
I dragged my feet along the stone floor of the halls. I couldn't seem to lift my feet off the ground, my body felt so heavy.
It had been days since I got more than three hours of sleep. I had locked myself in the library every chance I could get, as the NEWTs were only a week away and even though I was 99% sure I was ready, my brain would not let me rest. Between classes, between meals, until the sky was black and even the crickets had gone to bed. It had gotten to a point where Fred and my friends were sneaking me food in the library because I was forgetting that my body needs to eat. Just yesterday, Fred had been kicked out of the library for bringing me a duffel bag of food from the Great Hall. He had loudly dragged the bag in, stinking of ham, stew, cheese, bread, and cakes, and immediately, the librarian was blocking his path, hands on her hips and feet tapping on the ground.
"Y/n! Catch!" He chucked a muffin in my direction and pranced out as the librarian glowered at him. I stifled a giggle as the students around me snickered.
Fred and I had been dating for about a year now. We had been friends since our first year, when he and George were first experimenting with their godforsaken pranks. A month into arriving at Hogwarts, I walked into the Great Hall absolutely ravenous. I'd just been demolished in flying class because for SOME REASON my broom had decided to be an asshole and whack me in the side of the head. Madame Hooch had been impressed by the responsiveness of my broom but had suggested... maybe go to the infirmary to get the growing bump checked out.
So of course, I hadn't. I was starving and my superiority complex told me that I'd be fine. I sat down at the y/h table and not even two seconds into my mashed potatoes, I felt something dense crash into my head, right where the broom had hit me.
"What in the-" I clutched my bump as a muffin bounced off my head onto the ground and whirled around to see who the hell had concussed me. That's when my eyes met Fred's for the first time.
You know how in movies, the main character has a meet-cute with the love of their life? He accidentally knocks the stuff she's carrying out of her hands and when they bend down to pick it up, they look up and their eyes meet. Suddenly, there's a surge of music, fireworks all around, heart eyes.
Well, that's not what happened here.
I think maybe it would have, except now there was a shooting pain in my forehead and I was busy glaring at this redheaded idiot.
"Oops I was trying to get that on your plate! I'm sorry!" Fred was covering his mouth shrinking into George, who was bent over behind Fred trying to stifle his laughter.
"Stay away from my plate!" I threw the muffin back at him, hitting him in the chest.
"Wait-" Fred pointed at the angry welt on my forehead, "Uhh that doesn't look great."
"I'm fine and I'm hungry so no thank you." I huffed and turned back to my plate, but the sudden movement made my forehead prickle. I stared at my potatoes and suddenly I felt a bit nauseous.
"You know what..." I stumbled off my bench and Fred materialized next to me, holding me up.
"Come on, let's go." He placed my arm around his shoulders but my pride kicked in.
"Let go! I'll do it myself!" Clearly I was still annoyed about the muffin but Fred held onto my arm and I had no choice but to lean heavily on him. He took me to the infirmary, and for the next few days, I would wake up to a muffin outside my bedroom door.
So I guess that was the beginning of our friendship
We were just best friends for 6 years, me, Fred, and George, until last summer, I went to for my yearly visit to the Weasleys'. Mrs. Weasley flitted around me the whole week, shoving plates of food in my hands, covering me in blankets at night, and fawning over how she didn't know how Fred and George found a friend like me to put up with them.
One day, Fred and I were alone in the kitchen washing the dishes in comfortable silence. I was scraping off a chunk of goo from a plate and grimacing when he gently took it out of my hand.
"You're such a wimp." He said, smirking at me. I rolled my eyes but smiled, secretly grateful. We fell back into silence until I got distracted by the warm light coming in through the window, and turned to lean against the counter to watch the sun go down. Then he spoke up from behind me.
"Y/n," he cleared his throat nervously, "I have something... something that I've been - I've been needing to tell you."
His nervous tone made me turn around to face him. "What's wrong?"
His eyes were to the ground and he was shuffling his feet, his fingers playing with the dish towel. I had never seen him like this, not in the six years we had been best friends. I instinctively put my hand on his hand to quiet it and he stopped fidgeting for a bit. The tension was making my stomach curl but I waited patiently for him to speak.
He opened his mouth and suddenly vomited words out, "LatelyI'vebeenwantingtotellyousomethingandIhaven'tknownhowtotellyouandGeorgesaidIneededtotellyoubecauseIwasannoyinghimandGinnysaidthesamethingthatIneededtotalktoyoubecauseIwoudln'tshutupandsheneededmetopleaseshutthefuckupaboutitandIthinkIloveyou."
I froze. Was he really telling me what I thought he was telling me? He stared at the ground while I stared at him, frozen to the ground, trying to process what he just said. My heart fluttered and my face flushed. Of course throughout the years there had been a crush here and there, but I had pushed it away by the thought that no - we were just really close and I was confusing feelings, and besides, I didn't want to risk the friendship of our trio.
But right now, my face was warm and I felt something bubbling up in me. It was like my chest had suddenly opened up and I could breathe for the first time, something had been released in me that I'd been caging for a long time.
"Fred..." He glanced away from me and started to take a tiny step backwards but I held his hand harder so he couldn't get away. When I gripped his hand, he raised his eyes a bit to look at me through his lashes and I took my chance. My hand moved up his arm to cup his cheek. Now he was the one who was frozen. My other arm found its way around his shoulders and I found myself falling, falling into his lips, finally, finally. He was frozen for a second still, and then his arms came around my waist, hugging me tight as he kissed me back. He ran his hand through my hair, bringing me deeper into the kiss.
And that was that. We'd been even more inseparable since, if that was even possible.
Now back to present day. I pulled myself out of reminiscing as I reached the door to the y/h dorms. I leaned against the heavy door, pushing it wide open, eyes half closed. I was just about to drag my feet up the stairs when I heard someone clearing their throat behind me. Fred!
I whipped around with a smile, and my mouth fell open at the sight in front of me. In the common room, a soft blanket on the ground, fireplace crackling, a huge pitcher of wine, a feast spread out in front of me. And on the empty plate waiting for me, a small note. Most importantly, my boyfriend sitting behind all of it, beaming at me.
"What are you doing! It's-" I checked my watch, "- it's nearly 4 am!"
"Don't worry, I chugged some coffee. Surprise!"
With a sudden burst of energy, I flew to him, into his waiting arms. He hugged me close to his chest and said, "I just thought you needed Something to take your mind off of studying for a while. You're killing yourself and not even eating and the stupid librarian won't even let me feed you!" I giggled at this and craned my neck up to look at him. "Why are you so sweet to me?"
"Well I don't know if I'm being sweet or just keeping you alive."
I laughed, smacking his chest, and he jokingly yelped. He took my hand softly in his, led me to sit down on the blanket, and took his own seat next to me. I picked up the note that was lying on my plate and opened it, and read, I love you more than all the chocolate frogs in the world. Our own little sappy thing we whisper to each other. Suddenly, tears pricked in my eyes and Fred noticed right away. He leaned in, concerned, and placed his hand on my knee.
"Y/n?"
I shook my head and laughing at myself, leaned into his chest again. "I don't know what I did to deserve you." I wiped my tears and he laughed, kissing the top of my head.
"Every time I lay my eyes on you, it's like for the first time, in the Great Hall our first year. I wonder what I did in a past life for the universe to bring me someone like you." More tears.
He gazed into my eyes, gently wiping tears away before kissing me. "Now eat!"

stuck / lando norris x reader

pairing: lando norris x reader
song: the neighbourhood - stuck with me
summary: you're lando's pr manager and you're fuming because he made a mess again. but he solves the problem when you're stuck in an elevator.
wc: 1.3k
“How are you feeling about this?” you asked, adjusting your bag over your shoulder as you both stepped into the elevator. You didn’t even look at Lando as you spoke, already feeling the headache building at the base of your skull. This wasn’t the first time you had to clean up after one of his slip-ups, and it definitely wouldn’t be the last.
Lando sighed heavily beside you, running a hand through his hair. “Honestly? I’d rather be anywhere else,” he muttered, his tone casual, almost as if this was just another day at work.
You shot him a sharp look, your patience already wearing thin. “Yeah, well, you wouldn’t have to be here if you hadn’t caused a media circus in the first place, would you?”
Lando raised an eyebrow, smirking at your response. “Oh, come on. It wasn’t that bad.”
“Not that bad?” You could hardly believe what you were hearing. “You literally gave the media a goldmine, Lando! And now I have to deal with the fallout because you couldn’t keep your mouth shut. Again.”
Lando leaned back against the elevator wall, crossing his arms, clearly enjoying your frustration. “You’re cute when you’re mad, you know that?”
You glared at him. “Don’t start with me. This is serious.”
“I’m always serious,” he said, his tone completely at odds with the grin spreading across his face. “I just think maybe you’re overreacting a little. I mean, it’s my job to get attention, right?”
You pinched the bridge of your nose, trying to hold back the irritation bubbling up inside you. “There’s a difference between getting attention for winning a race and getting attention because you’ve said something stupid.”
Lando shrugged, seemingly unbothered. “Yeah, but the media loves a good drama. You should be thanking me for giving you something to do.”
You couldn’t help it—you laughed, but it was the kind of laugh that meant you were one second away from snapping. “Oh, right. I should be thanking you for making my life harder? Because now I have to smooth this over so you don’t look like a complete idiot?”
Lando’s grin widened. “Maybe you’re just jealous, huh?”
You blinked, thrown off by the sudden shift. “What?”
“You heard me,” he said, leaning in slightly, his voice teasing. “Maybe all this stress is because you’re a little jealous of the attention I’m getting. You know, from the fans, the press...the ladies.”
You felt your face heat up, a mix of anger and embarrassment rising to the surface. “Jealous? Of you? Absolutely not.”
“Sure,” he said, dragging out the word, clearly not buying it. “You definitely weren’t fuming when that journalist asked me out last week.”
Your eyes narrowed. “I was fuming because it was unprofessional, and we were in the middle of a press conference. Not because I’m jealous.”
Lando shrugged again, his smirk still firmly in place. “If you say so.”
Before you could respond, the elevator suddenly jerked to a stop, the lights flickering for a moment before everything went still. You both froze, glancing around the small space.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” you muttered, pressing the button for the next floor. Nothing. You pressed it again, harder this time. Still nothing.
Lando looked at you, eyebrows raised. “Well, this is awkward.”
You groaned, running a hand through your hair. “Of course. Of course this would happen today.”
Lando, ever the optimist, leaned back against the wall again, sliding down until he was sitting on the floor. “Guess we’re stuck.”
You shot him a look of pure exasperation. “We can’t be stuck. We have the press conference in less than an hour. I don’t have time for this.”
He patted the floor beside him, looking up at you with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Come on, sit down. Might as well get comfortable.”
You huffed but eventually gave in, sliding down the wall to sit beside him. You were both quiet for a moment, the weight of the situation settling in.
“This is just perfect,” you muttered. “Now we’ll miss the conference, and everyone will assume you’re dodging questions.”
Lando chuckled softly. “Hey, at least we’ll have a good excuse. ‘Sorry, we’re trapped in an elevator.”
You glared at him. “This isn’t funny, Lando. You’ve put yourself in a bad spot, and now I have to be the one to clean it up. Again.”
He looked at you, his expression softening just a little. “You’re really stressed about this, huh?”
You sighed, leaning your head back against the wall. “Yeah, I am. It’s my job to make sure you come out of this looking good, and you keep making it harder.”
Lando was quiet for a beat before nudging you lightly with his shoulder. “I’m sorry. I know I’m a pain sometimes.”
You rolled your eyes, though the edge in your voice had softened. “Sometimes?”
He grinned, clearly relieved that you weren’t completely mad at him anymore. “Okay, most of the time. But hey, you’re amazing at what you do. You always fix it.”
You couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at your lips. “I have to be, with you around.”
“See?” Lando said, his voice light again. “You should really be thanking me.”
You shot him a playful glare, nudging him with your elbow. “Don’t push it.”
The tension between you softened as the teasing subsided, replaced by something more subtle. Lando looked at you, his eyes lingering on yours for a moment longer than usual, and suddenly the air in the elevator felt different. There was a shift, something unspoken but undeniably present. You were close, closer than you realized, and for the first time, you could feel a kind of weight behind his gaze.
“You know,” he said, his voice quieter now, “I don’t think I’ve ever told you just how much I appreciate everything you do for me.”
You blinked, not expecting the sincerity in his tone. “Lando, it’s my job—”
“No,” he interrupted, leaning in just slightly, his expression serious. “It’s more than that. You put up with me, you deal with all my shit, and... I don’t know. You’re always there.
His words hung in the air, thick with meaning you didn’t quite know how to process. Your heart was pounding, and you could feel the heat rising in your chest as the silence stretched on. Before you could say anything, the elevator jolted, the lights flickered, and the soft hum of the machinery kicked back in. The doors didn’t open yet, but you knew it was only a matter of time.
But then, in that suspended moment, Lando moved closer, his eyes searching yours, and before you could fully process what was happening, he leaned in and kissed you.
It wasn’t rushed or hesitant—it was a slow, deliberate kiss, as if he’d been thinking about doing this for a long time. His hand came up to cup your face, and for a second, you forgot about everything—the press conference, the mess he’d caused, the fact that you were his PR manager.
The kiss deepened, your hands instinctively reaching for his shoulders, and for that brief moment, nothing else mattered. Just the two of you, in this small, confined space, finally letting the tension between you spill over.
The elevator doors dinged softly, snapping you both back to reality. You pulled away, your breath coming in short gasps, eyes wide as the situation hit you.
Lando let out a soft, breathless laugh, his forehead resting against yours. “Guess we’ll have to finish that later.”
You could only nod, still too stunned to form words.
With one final smile, Lando stepped out of the elevator, and you followed, your mind still reeling from the kiss that had just changed everything.

Okay hear me out Agatha x Reader age gap fic. The reader and Agatha have been together for awhile I was thinking like she used to be your college professor before you graduated, The reader has a monthly night out scheduled with friends from school but Agatha like usual declines in your offer to join you all. Agatha just doesn’t have interest in the “young people bars” and hanging out with old students is strange to her, though it’s a little upsetting you don’t push too much before relenting and going on your way. A little bit into the night despite your efforts in avoiding said persons advances you’re being continuously hit on by either a stranger in the bar or a friend from the group that is your choice! But the resolve would be Agatha showing up cause she felt guilty about always declining, her witnessing and then defusing the situation (jealously obviously). I absolutely love possessive Agatha and love everything you’ve written so far! Whether it ends in smut is also completely up to you!!!
Hope you enjoy and thank you for the very detailed request!! This will be a two-parter and the next part will be based on a request I got about jealous reader x Professor Agatha.
A lesson in jealousy (Part 1)
Agatha gets jealous when she finds you at a bar and a guy is already talking to you.
Word count: 2100
Tags: marking, jealousy, making out, slight thigh grinding
“I was thinking of ordering pizza for tonight?” Agatha muses, already looking at you when you turn your head to face her.
You’re sitting on the couch in her office, nose buried in a book for one of your other classes. Agatha was your professor two years ago and there had been a spark, at least on your end, so you had kept in touch.
It wasn’t until a year ago when you had bridged the gap between a professional relationship and something more when you had kissed her one night after getting drinks at a bar across town.
You had immediately pulled back, apologizing incessantly, but much to your surprise, she had dragged you back in for more.
That night was the first of many that you spent in her bed.
Although she was no longer your teacher, you still attended the college that she worked at, so there was a bit of a gray area. Meaning, you two had to keep it under wraps.
“Oh, sorry,” you say, finally answering Agatha’s question. “I’m going out with my friends tonight. It’s our monthly bar trivia thing that we always do. I think I told you.” She hums and you frown. “What?”
Agatha shrugs. “Seems like we haven’t had a quiet night in awhile, that’s all.”
“You could always come tonight,” you offer hopefully. Her nose wrinkles and she raises an eyebrow and you know why she’s being like this. “You could just happen to show up and I’ll just happen to see you and I’ll invite you to join our team. It’ll be fun!”
And yet you know her answer before she even says it. “That’s not really my scene, baby.” You pout and slouch down further into the couch. She has never once taken you up on an invitation, even though you practically beg her every time. She rolls her eyes exasperatedly. It’s an old game for both of you. “Come on, hon, you know I have no interest in going to a bar with a bunch of college kids on a Friday night where everyone will be drinking and making noise and I taught most of your friends. I just think that it will be weird.”
A flash of anger bubbles up to protect you from the hurt you feel deep down. Would it kill her to do something for you? “I’m also a college kid who will be out drinking and ‘making noise’ and you were my professor two years ago. Is that weird?”
She sighs heavily and pushes her chair back, patting her thighs. She wants you to come over, but you grit your teeth and don’t give in. “Of course not. That’s not what I meant, obviously. Just spending my Friday evening with a bunch of college kids isn’t what I’ve wanted to do for a long time.”
You stand up, shoving your books and laptop in your bag and Agatha scoffs and says your name. You meet her eyes, disappointment written all over your face. It kills you to show her how much her rejection hurts, but you’re tired of it.
“Come here, please,” she says softly. You grumble but obey. You slide off your backpack and sit on her laps, tensely putting your arms around her neck. Despite how mad you are, you still fiddle with her strands on her nape that aren’t in her bun. She leans in to kiss your lips but you don’t let it go any further than a press of her mouth against yours. You won’t give in that easily.
“You never come,” you whine.
She tucks a piece of hair behind your ear. “I know, sweetheart. I just worry it might be risky for us to be seen out in public like that. Why don’t you come over after and we can have a movie night or something? I’ll take you to a bar tomorrow night, I promise. Just the two of us.”
You can see there’s no use trying to fight her on this. No matter what you say, she won’t come with you and you’d rather not have to open up and tell her how you want to just spend a night with the most important people in your life: Agatha and your best friends. You also feel a little insecure about being so young. She is over twice your age and you worry that sometimes you aren’t enough for her, or that she thinks you’re too immature. “Okay,” you say, voice small.
She squeezes your waist and gives you another peck. “That’s my girl. Don’t come over too late and I’ll make it worth your while.” She winks and you force a smile and climb off her lap.
“I’ll see you later, Agatha.”
“Hon, you don’t have to leave right now,” she calls but you’re already walking to the door. You wave a hand as a goodbye and you moodily walk back to your dorm.
You sulk the rest of the day and debate whether or not you even want to go out to the bar, but ultimately decide that you deserve it. You don’t need Agatha to have a good time, as much as you’d like her.
“There she is! It’s been awhile!” Natasha exclaims when you get to their table and claps a hand on your back. You wince but pull her in for a hug. You’ve been swamped with homework and when you do have free time, it’s spent with Agatha, so you have barely seen your friends in the past month.
“Sorry, I’ve been so busy,” you mumble while greeting Wanda and Maria, also at the table.
“First round is on you for neglecting us!” Wanda says and you laugh and happily go to the bar to order beers for the group.
“What can I get you?” The bartender asks when you finally make your way through the crowd.
“Four Pilsners, please,” you almost have to shout. Someone next to you bumps into you roughly and you jump.
“Oh shit, sorry.” A guy about your age turns around, with shaggy dark hair and blue eyes. Something about his features is so familiar.
“You’re good,” you say. “Do I know you?”
He stares intently at your face, trying to place you. He snaps his fingers. “Professor Harkness’s class, freshman year. Something about witchcraft. I sat in the row in front you. You were like the only one who actually knew what they were talking about. I think you were her favorite by a long shot.”
You blush at hearing that someone else picked up on Agatha liking you. “I don’t know if I’d say that,” you say coyly, smiling a little at the thought of the older woman.
“I’m James. So, uh,” the boy says, sliding a hand nonchalantly around your waist. You freeze. “What’s a pretty girl like you doing all alone at a bar?”
“I’m not alone,” you quickly say, stepping back so his hand falls off, and you point to the table with your friends. “We’re here for trivia night.”
His face lights up and he motions toward a different table with a group of guys. “We are too, but they all suck. Can I join your team?”
“Um-” You’re trying to figure out how to let him down gently when the bartender puts down the four beers in front of you. You reach for your wallet but James slaps a $20 on the counter.
“I got it,” he says proudly and then before you can protest, he grabs two of the beers and you follow with the other drinks, dumbfounded, as he walks over to your table. Your friends give you quizzical looks but you just shrug tiredly. You can’t find it in yourself to care that much right now.
The host of the trivia game comes around to each table and hands out the paper for answers and a pen. He asks the first question: when is Taylor Swift’s birthday.
You immediately say the answer and James pats his hand on your shoulder but it turns into more of a rub. Your eyes widen and your friends bite back a smile.
“I’m actually seeing someone,” you say and take his hand off of you. Your friends look even more surprised than he does. Even though you’ve been dating Agatha for close to a year now, you’ve been really secretive and change the topic whenever your love life comes up with them.
“Come on, baby, don’t be like that,” he says, raising his arms like he’s trying to show you that he’s harmless. He moves to touch you again but a hand darts out and grabs his wrist. You turn and your jaw falls open.
It’s Agatha, and she is positively fuming.
“I think she said she’s taken,” she growls and James backs off.
“Professor Harkness,” he stutters. “I wasn’t trying to do anything, we were just having a good time.” He turns to you, eyes pleading. It’s almost funny how scary he still finds the older woman. “Tell her, we were just talking.”
You wish he had said anything but that. Agatha whirls onto you. “Were you?” She hisses and you gulp. She scoffs as you protest and storms out of the bar.
Ignoring the looks from your friends, you chase after her down the alleyway.
“Agatha, wait,” you yell. “He kept hitting on me and I was trying to let him down gently but he kept trying. I told him that I was with someone else! I’m sorry.”
She spins on her heel and advances toward you. You stop like a deer in headlights and she shoves you against the brick wall before you can think. Her hands grab your wrists and pin them to the wall. You struggle futilely.
“Is this your pathetic attempt of getting back at me?” You furrow your brows in confusion and she laughs sardonically. “I was feeling so guilty earlier. You looked so sad when I didn’t want to come and I thought that maybe I could try, for you. I always say no and what a nice surprise it would be for my girlfriend if I showed up. And then what do I find? My pet is flirting with someone else. Not just someone, a sleazy college boy who would probably cum after two pumps because he’s so incompetent.” She’s snarling, her face an inch away from yours, and you hate how turned on you are.
You’ve always liked it when she got possessive over you.
“I didn’t want him,” you say levelly. “I only want you.”
She huffs like it’s a joke. “Sure you don’t want the college fuckboy? Or any of the other people in the bar? They’d never hesitate to join you for trivia night.”
And then it hits you. She’s jealous because she’s insecure. She also worries about the age difference.
Your heart swells and you break free of her grasp to grab her cheeks and pull her in for a long and filthy kiss. You moan into her mouth when her tongue swipes against yours and she fits a thigh between your legs.
“I’m all yours, Agatha,” you groan when she tugs your bottom lip between her teeth and her eyes flash.
“You better be,” she warns and entangles her fingers in your hair so she can tilt your head to the side and sink a bite into the juncture of your neck and shoulder. Your hips buck on her thigh and you gasp when she sucks roughly. She trails up your neck, doing the same thing over and over, and you’re quickly reduced to a moaning, desperate mess.
Her other hand trails down to hold onto your hip, just feeling you shakily grind against her, trying to get some relief.
“Should I go back inside and get James to come out and watch this?” She asks against your skin, still marking you up. “So he knows what happens when he touches things that aren’t his?”
You inhale sharply at the thought and wish that she would just drag you back inside and fuck you right there on the table in front of everyone.
“Please,” you beg. She actually giggles and pulls back to admire her handiwork on your neck. She lightly traces over the marks and you shiver under her touch and intense gaze.
Agatha smirks when she meets your eyes again. “That should let everyone know who you belong to. And you, in case you need the reminder.”
You pretend to think for a moment. “Maybe I could use a refresher. Why don’t you show me who owns me?”
Her eyes darken even more as she pulls you back in for a searing kiss that she ends too quickly.
She yanks her thigh from out between yours and grabs your hand, dragging you to the car.
“Oh, I’m going to, baby.”

You know how in the movie, Miles mom gets angry when he says, ‘whatever’ can you do that with latina!wife for Miguel?
𝐘𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲
Pairing: Miguel O'Hara x Wife!Reader
Summary: Miguel hasn't had a proper night's rest in days, and quite frankly you missed him. Too bad he's too swamped with work to notice.
Warnings: None! Just a silly lil fic.
⚝
You know those days where you’re just teetering on the edge? It could be for absolutely no reason at all, or maybe a collection of things, all you knew was that it just makes every action you take frustrating.
Well, that was you today.
Granted it wasn’t for no reason. Yesterday, Miguel had promised to come back home for dinner and sleep in his own bed, because for the last few days he had been swamped with work and mission reports. You understood the work he did was important, truly, but you missed him. That, and he was a chronic overworker who would only stop when he collapsed from exhaustion, and you were not going to let it get to that point.
It was getting tiring having to beg him to come back to rest, even for a moment. Spider powers or not, everyone needs a break.
“Uh oh…” you hear Lyla say as you march into the monitoring room, but you continue to press onward.
“Miguel!” you call up to him, but he doesn’t even bother turning around to face you, rummaging through papers and swiping through screens.
“Querida, is there something you need?” he asks nonchalantly like nothing was wrong.
“Yes! There is, actually. What happened to coming home yesterday, hm~?” you say, irritation rising in your voice.
“Oh…is it already the next day?” he asks, still not looking toward you. “I’m sorry, vida mía. I guess I got carried away, I’ll try to be back later alright?” he says, trying to placate you.
“You can’t keep going on like this Miguel, it’s not healthy. One evening of a break won’t hurt. Hell, I’ll even help you out with paperwork, and Lyla can too. So come home tonight, alright? For me, please?”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” he says without thinking, only half listening to you.
“Excuse me?” you say, your voice stone cold and immediately Miguel stiffens, slowly turning toward you with a sheepish look on his face.
“Vida mía,” he says, his expression apologetic as his platform begins to lower to the floor. You don’t have the patience to wait for it though, choosing to swing up with your webs and meet him at his level.
“Miguel O'Hara, who do you think you’re talking to?" you say lowly. "I’m not one of your subordinates, I am your wife,” Your hands are planted on your hips as you look up at him annoyedly.
“I know, I know,” he says hurriedly, “I’m sorry. I said it without thinking.”
“Sorry isn’t good enough. We’re going home, now,” you say, grabbing his hand and leaving no room for argument. “Lyla, have Jess take over for the rest of today, alright?”
“Aye, aye, captain!” she says, snickering at the interaction between the two of you.
“Querida, there’s still so much work I have to do,” he says, resisting your pull but you continue to drag you along.
“Should have thought of that before you said ‘whatever’ to me, Miguel,” you say, but sigh. “I’m only trying to look out for you, is that so bad?”
He pauses, studying your worried expression that was because of him. It caused a wave of guilt to wash over him after he disregarded your care for work instead.
“I know…alright, let’s go home sweetheart,” he says, finally relenting as he presses a kiss to your forehead. Immediately you light up, grasping his hand tighter.
“I’ll make your favourite today, and we can take a bath later if you’d like?” you suggest.
“I would love that, tesoro.”

As the weeks passed, the warmth slowly started to surround Hawkins. The flowers have all bloomed, the sun is blessing the town with light and it’s something you greatly appreciate, knowing that things could’ve been so different had victory not been the outcome weeks back.
The day Steve had come by to apologize and talk, things had started to change between the two of you. While you tried to avoid him at all costs, fearing more confrontations and arguments, Steve had done everything to show you that he really wanted to keep the peace between you both.
You felt awkward around him for the first few days after your conversation, especially because it felt like he was walking on eggshells when he was around you, he bit his tongue whenever you tried to throw a jab at him, he looked at you differently, he was careful with his words and it annoyed you to no end. You never wanted him to feel like he had to be nice to you after what happened. Luckily, he couldn’t keep his act up for long, the moment you said something that was enough to set him off, you went back to your usual banters – though, it didn’t feel as rough as it did before.
You were also dragged into everything involving the whole group. It’s something you would have hated if it wasn’t for Eddie who somehow had nestled his way into your life and reached for the title ‘best friend’ before you could even blink. Despite the fear that still lingered deep inside of you, you let him in and you are glad that you did so. You really needed a friend.
But you are not the only one who grew close to Eddie in the past few weeks, Steve has also taken a great liking to him, and you now see more of him than ever before, because now it isn’t only the weekly movie or game nights that you spend time with him, it’s also Tuesday nights at the hideout, Wednesday nights at the movies, Sunday mornings at the diner and… you don’t mind for a single second.
You used to watch him from afar, now he is everywhere you go and while the relationship you two have isn’t exactly friendly, you still appreciate it. You’ll take anything you can get when it comes to him.
You eye Eddie through the vanity mirror, watching as he lounges on your bed, flipping through some old magazine he had found on your shelf. His curls are wild on his head, a little tamer than usual though, a few new rings adorn his fingers as well as the new shirt that doesn’t exactly fit the occasion.
“Eddie, you could have at least put a nice shirt on! A black one! Without a stupid band logo at the front!”
“Stupid?” He gasps as he sits up, staring at you, looking very offended, “let me remind you, Sweetheart. None of them are stupid, they are meaningful and artistic.”
Max scoffs at him, trying not to shake her head as you’re still using the hot curling iron on her hair.
“Right, because the music video of that Samuel made absolutely fucking sense.”
He drops the magazine and jumps up from the bed, his jaw dropping at her words.
“You mean Samson!?” He almost yells, “Biceps of Steel is a masterpiece, Red!”
You and Max share a look of amusement through the mirror, scoffing simultaneously.
“Yeah, you made me watch that video like four times,” she rolls her eyes at him.
Eddie squints his eyes at her, continuing his ramble while you smile at their bantering.
Not only did you and Eddie grow closer, he and Max did too. Eddie’s new home is close to Max’s, just like back in the trailer park. And the teen just loves to bother Eddie and Uncle Wayne, more so Eddie in the early morning hours, knowing how grumpy he will get. She still snaps at him and judges his ‘poor’ taste in movies and music but he only judges back, though playfully. They behave like siblings and you never get bored watching their banters.
Eddie is the brother Max deserved to have.
“Bla bla bla,” she rolls her eyes at him, sighing in relief when you finish up with the final touches.
“Who taught you to be so rude, Red?” Eddie shakes his head in disapproval.
Max only laughs in response, she leans closer to the mirror and turns her head to the side as she touches her curls. Her eyes meet yours and a smile appears on her face, “thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” you smile as you put the curling iron on your vanity.
Max gets up from the chair, she walks out of the room and into the hallway, still limping a little but the cast on her leg is already gone.
“I’ll call Lucas and see if he’s ready,” she says as she walks down the stairs.
You turn to face Eddie, who is staring at the dress you are wearing, like he only noticed it now. The playful smile on his face is now gone, replaced by a teasing one.
“Got all pretty for someone?” He asks, wiggling his eyebrows at you.
You tilt your head and squint your eyes, “it was a formal invitation, Eddie! You just didn’t get the memo.” You point to his band shirt before you turn away from him and sit down on the chair, picking up your lipstick that you haven’t applied yet.
Eddie rolls his eyes at your words, walking closer to you, he leans down and puts his hands on his knees, staring at you through the mirror.
“Darling, apple of my eye, sweetheart, long lost soulmate… I am not buying shit.”
You keep staring at your lips, careful not to go over the lines as you apply the rosy tone to them, only when you’re done and you put the lipstick in the bag you had picked out earlier, you look up at him with a sigh.
“It’s the same as always, Eddie.”
“Is it?” He tilts his head, still looking at you with that same teasing smile. “Cause while you do wear all these trendsetter outfits, I never saw you wear a dress this… fancy.”
“Trendsetter outfits?” You laugh, furrowing your brows at him. “And fancy? It’s just a black dress!”
He raises his brows, stepping away as he looks down at the silky fabric on your form.
“A little black dress.”
“Well, look who’s the trendsetter now!” You snort.
He walks back to your bed, picking up the fashion magazine that has a little black dress on the cover. He raises it up, showing it to you, “Vogue taught me.”
Shaking your head, you look back at your reflection and add the final touches to your hair, before you apply your favorite perfume. You get up and smoothe down your dress, it’s beautiful and you have been dying for a chance to wear it. But your stomach suddenly fills with doubt because of his reaction. Are you overdressed? No… right? It’s truly nothing special. It’s just a dress, a little black and silky dress, nothing fancy about it.
Besides, Joyce invited you all to a formal dinner, after all. You can’t show up in jeans and a t-shirt, even Max put on a skirt today and that girl hates dresses and skirts with a passion.
But maybe Eddie was right, maybe… you did think of a certain someone when you bought this dress, and maybe you do feel your insides tingling at the thought of seeing him again tonight, maybe you did get pretty for him – even when you know that he will have eyes for somebody else all night. That thought makes you want to stay at home and hide from the world but you can’t back out now, you couldn’t even decline the invitation you got from Joyce herself when you ran into her at the coffee shop two weeks ago.
She is one of the few people in this godforsaken town that you have always liked. Finding out that she is now dating Jim Hopper – the very alive Jim Hopper, wasn’t exactly a surprise to you. You heard all the rumors about them, even before you were dragged into the mess your new friends had been in for the past few years. – The bored middle aged women who met up at the coffee shop every Wednesday afternoon just loved to talk about all the existent and non-existent relationships in this town and well, you loved to hear about all the gossip too, though you always acted like you were immersed in the books you had brought, you really never read a single line whenever they were providing each other new drama.
On the drive to the Byers/Hopper house, you picked up Lucas before you made a quick stop at the store to buy a cake, none of you wanted to show up with empty hands and you didn’t know what else to get – besides the little bouquet of flowers that Lucas got for Joyce.
As you look out the window, watching the passing trees, you listen to Eddie’s conversation with Lucas.
“You ever wonder how Hopper explained his return from the dead?” Eddie asks as he plays with his sunglasses, “cause I’m really curious.”
“I am too,” Lucas says from the backseat.
“Do you think he went with the kidnapping story?” Eddie asks, his sunglasses low on his nose as he glances at you. “Imagine he told Chief Powell and Deputy Dumbass about the upside down.”
“Don’t say that too loud, Eds. Or the suit wearing dicks will come back to take all our hush money back,” you snort. “And then you’ll lose your fancy house and your fancy Barbecue grill.”
He waves his hand at you, “I’ll take my fancy Barbecue grill and move in with you. I’ll still have a fancy house, rich girl.”
You snort.
“Oh, can I move in then too?” Lucas asks, grinning at you. “You always got the best snacks,” he points to the store bought cake on your lap.
“Eddie and I chose the cake together,” you chuckle.
“Well, duh, we’d make great roommates, sweets,” Eddie winks at you. “Same taste in food – but you still need to up your music taste.”
You scoff.
“Honestly, I think a girls only place would be so much cooler,” Max says to him, “just peace all the time, no boys, no stinky clothes lying around… just pure girls heaven.”
Lucas frowns at her, tilting his head, “you say that to your boyfriend?”
Eddie snorts at the offended tone in Lucas’s voice, while you shake your head in amusement.
The burgundy BMW is already in the driveway when Eddie pulls up, he parks his car behind Steve’s. You inwardly curse at yourself for feeling a rush of something just from looking at his car. You tear your eyes away from it and take in the beautiful sight in front of you, instead.
The light blue house has a big porch, flowers on the grass in front of it, a big willow tree on the right side – it’s so pretty and this neighborhood is a quiet one, it’s perfect.
Lucas rings the doorbell, waiting patiently with the flowers in his hands that Max keeps teasing him about, giggling and making jabs at him until he finally gets fed up. He picks out one of the daisies and turns around to face his girlfriend, he brushes her hair back and tucks the little flower behind her hair, which shuts her up immediately, her eyes widen and she starts blushing furiously.
You press your lips together, so you don’t burst into giggles at the look on her face.
Lucas sighs in contentment when she grows silent, he turns back to the door.
Eddie though, he starts chuckling.
Max clenches her jaw, she sends Eddie the deadliest glare you have ever seen. It only makes you want to laugh even more.
The door opens and you’re all greeted by a very happy El, a bright smile on her lips as she waves at you.
“Hi guys, come in!” She reaches forward to Max, grabbing her hand and pulling her into the house, “I need to tell you something.”
The two girls scurry away and up the stairs, leaving the three of you standing on the porch.
Lucas shakes his head, sighing, “you know, I wouldn’t be surprised if Max left me to be with El.”
Eddie throws his arm around Lucas’s shoulder as they both step inside the house, “every girl has a girlfriend, just deal with it, Sinclair.”
“What?” You laugh, following them,“I don’t have a girlfriend.”
“Oh, it’ll happen magically, Sweetheart. Once you have a boyfriend, you’ll also find a girlfriend.”
“That literally makes no sense.”
“Oh,” Lucas smirks, looking over his shoulder at you, “he means, once you and Steve stop acting like you hate each other and you’ll fall in love and get together, you won’t only have a boyfriend, you will also have a girlfriend which is his best friend,” he wiggles his eyebrows at you.
You roll your eyes and ignore the way your cheeks heat up at the word ‘boyfriend’. Steve will never be your boyfriend, he won’t even be anything close to it. Hell, he is barely even a friend. He is your frenemy.
You open your mouth to speak when Joyce walks out into the hallway, smiling at the three of you before a gasp falls from her lips when Lucas hands her the flowers.
“Oh, you’re such a sweetheart, Lucas,” she smiles down at the flowers.
You feel a little out of place, being new to this group, being in a tight friend group for the first time in your life feels nerve wracking. And while you aren’t the only one, Eddie is definitely way more sociable and open than you are, where you struggle to make conversations, he rambles on just about anything.
But Joyce makes you feel welcome, she greets you with a warm smile, placing her hand on your arm.
“We got you your favorite,” Eddie grins at her, taking the cake from your hands so you can greet her properly.
“Oh, you shouldn’t have! You’re all so kind,” she smiles at the both of you, “come on, I’ll put it in the fridge for now. You guys go ahead, Jonathan and Nancy are in the backyard with Hop, the kids are in the living room.”
When you step inside, you notice the smell of food from the kitchen and the dining room, the sound of music playing from the stereo – Joy Division. You know right away that Jonathan was the one who put on the music.
You greet Mike, Will and Dustin who are in a heated conversation about something D&D related.
Robin walks into the living room, her blue eyes meet yours and a smile appears on her face.
You eye her up and down, she’s wearing black dress pants, suspenders over her red blouse. Your lips curl into a smirk when your eyes meet hers. She opens her arms for you and you hug her, leaning closer to her ear, “if I was into girls, I’d be on the floor for you right now, Buckley,” you joke, suggestively.
She gasps and slaps your arm lightly, “naughty.”
A giggle falls from your lips when you pull away from the hug, “it’s the truth, you look hot in this outfit.”
She shakes her head, biting her lip as she tries to hide the blush on her cheeks.
“You’re one to talk,” she whispers, smirking when she takes a look at your dress, “how did Munson not crash the car?”
Your lips part in shock, and you look down, “i-is that too revealing?” You whisper, tugging at your dress.
She starts chuckling, “no, I just mean because you’re so gorgeous,” she winks. “I know I’d crash the car, I’d be too busy staring at you.”
“Oh my god,” you swat her arm this time, “Eddie and I are not attracted to each other.” And you’re certainly not lying about that.
“Robin, I see her the same way you see Steve,” Eddie suddenly says from behind you, throwing his arm around your shoulder. “Difference? I’m heterosexual,” he whispers to her before he looks at you, “no offense, it’s not that you’re not hot, it’s just that you’re a little gremlin to me already.”
Your eyes flash with amusement and you put your hand on your chest, “I will take offense to that actually.”
Your stomach flutters when your eyes fall on the figure in the kitchen.
“Sucks to be you then,” he chuckles, “anyways, how’s Vickie doing?” He wiggles his brows at Robin.
You don’t even hear Eddie’s words, you’re already too far gone, staring at the one you had your eyes set on since forever. You don’t know how he always does it, but he looks so gorgeous. His fluffy hair looking better than ever, a smile lingering on his face as he talks to Joyce.
His white shirt is tucked into his dark brown slacks that he paired with a black belt. He looks like he walked straight out of a 60s movie and god, he looks really good. He turns his back to you, and you watch as Joyce leaves the kitchen, walking out into the backyard.
You don’t feel your feet moving, but you feel yourself being pulled into the kitchen, still admiring Steve – his broad shoulders, the way his muscles are moving underneath the shirt.
You are practically drooling over the guy, and you feel shame but not enough to stop yourself from ogling him, maybe you’d feel a bit more ashamed if things between you haven’t shifted into something else, you still get on each other’s nerves, the bickering is still there, poking into each other's ribs to see who bends first, but all that is never too much or hurtful. The scowls are there, they never left, the scrunches of noses, the deadly glares. But you noticed that the bickering had gone from yelling to soft talking. Enough for just the two of you to hear, no one else.
It’s all still the same… but it also isn’t.
And you can’t help but love it.
Steve is cutting vegetables and throwing them into the bowl. Your heart flutters as you take another moment to look at him. While the others are chatting in the living room and in the garden, Steve is helping Joyce prepare dinner. Cute.
You lick your lips, moving closer to him, you brush your hand over his shoulder as you walk past him, not even realizing how soft your touch actually was.
Steve tenses up, not because he doesn’t like your touch – but because he does. He likes it, even if he would never admit it. He recognizes you by the sweet and flowery scent of your perfume, something that makes his insides tingle in an unfamiliar way.
“Hey, Lego head,” you greet him, leaning against the counter next to him, “nice mousse on the hair.”
A smirk tugs at his lips, he puts down the knife as he opens his mouth to speak, though when he turns to look at you, his breathing stutters, his heart stops beating and his eyes widen as the smirk slowly falls – instead, his cheeks heat up and he presses his lips back together, gulping as he takes in the sight of you in your beautiful dress. It’s not any different from the sundresses that you’ve been wearing a lot lately, but it would be enough to make him stutter if he tried to talk right now, because somehow, you look even more beautiful, right now.
You turn away from him, looking around at the food he had already helped prepare, giving him the perfect opportunity to ogle you. It’s a good thing he stopped cutting the fruit, and put the knife down before he saw you, he surely would’ve chopped a finger off by now, and he’s not sure if he would have noticed because, all that he is focused on is how pretty you look, with your glowy, smooth skin and the makeup that you don’t even need, the dress that almost has him on his knees.
But he gets dragged back into reality when your eyes meet his and he remembers who you aren’t supposed to be – a girl who effortlessly manages to make him blush. No one has ever made Steve Harrington blush, absolutely no one, and he surely won’t let you be the first.
“Blondie.”
“Do you think they’ll let us drink?” You ask, looking around as you try to spot anything but soda.
Steve chuckles, shaking his head.
“Are you twenty one yet? No. What makes you think that Hopper will let us drink?” He picks up the knife again, forcing his eyes away from you.
“We fought monsters and had near death experiences multiple times,” you roll your eyes and cross your arms over your chest, “will alcohol hurt us?”
“No, but it might turn you into an alcoholic, better not start with that, kid.” Hopper suddenly appears from behind, causing you to flinch.
Steve watches from the side, laughing at the wide eyed look on your face.
You turn to face the older man, scrunching up your nose when your eyes instantly fall on the beer in his hand, “oh, really? What’s that in your hand then, alcoholic?” You mock him.
Hopper shakes his head, chuckling.
“So that’s where El’s attitude has been coming from lately.”
“Told you, miss sunshine over here is a bad influence,” Steve jokes.
“Don’t know which attitude you’re talking about, I don’t have one.”
At that, both Steve and Hopper burst out laughing, the latter squeezes your shoulder as he walks past you, “you keep telling yourself that, kid.”
“Well, aren’t we celebrating something today?” You ask.
Hopper opens the fridge, taking out another beer after throwing the empty can into the trash. He looks at you with raised brows, a smile tugging at his lips.
None of you know what this celebration even is about, that you all got invited to – except for El, Jonathan and Will, of course. They know all about it.
“Yeah.”
“So… can’t celebrate without the drinks,” you shrug, giving him a sheepish smile.
You’re unaware of the smile on Steve’s lips as he watches you.
“You’re nineteen, wait two more years–”
“We fought interdimensional monsters, this one almost got strangled to death,” you point at Steve, “not to mention all the times he got his ass kicked–”
“You didn’t need to go there, Blondie,” he rolls his eyes.
“I almost died! A girl can have a drink, come on!”
Hopper sighs, crossing his arms over his chest as he looks between the two of you.
You are desperate for a drink, it’s been months since you had any alcohol in your system, and you’re craving the buzz, feeling careless and free. All you felt after the night at the Creel house was pain… and more pain. Your head was constantly hurting, your vision blurred every time you got up, the dizziness drove you crazy – it’s still there sometimes, but you feel better now, much better, good enough to have drinks again.
But the stubborn man won’t let you have it and you can already tell by the look on his face that he will say no. So, you pull out the big guns.
You smirk at him, tilting your head.
“My dad told me what you used to get up to in high school.”
He holds his hands up, squeezing his eyes shut in annoyance.
“Didn’t you and Joyce used to smoke pot behind–”
Steve’s eyes widen as his lips part in surprise.
“Get this demon a drink, Steve.” He waves his hand and quickly leaves the room, sending you another warning glance over his shoulder.
“Why me…” Steve mutters.
“Cause you’re maid material, chop chop, Harrington.”
He sighs, rolling his eyes again.
“Oh hey Hop, long time no see.” You hear Eddie’s voice in the living room, followed by Hopper’s groan.
If you weren’t so fixated on Steve right now, you’d be watching Eddie’s and Hopper’s interaction, right now. It’s never not amusing.
“You sure you want me to make you a drink?” He steps away from the counter and bends down to open the cabinet he saw Hopper putting the whiskey into earlier, he looks through the few bottles and reaches for the rum.
You watch the way he furrows his brows, licking his lips as stares at the bottle. He straightens his back and steps up beside you again.
“Well, didn’t you used to throw parties and mix cocktails?” You shrug, tilting your head to the side.
Steve watches you, the way your flashes flutter as you blink, the way you look at him so innocently, something that makes him feel… intrigued.
“I never got to taste it,” you pout.
He swallows harshly.
“I’m craving something sweet on my lips right now, so please… Can you make me a drink?” You ask with a sickly sweet tone in your voice, not intending these words to sound so… suggestive and you don’t even notice it either.
But he does, and he almost drops the bottle he is holding. Your flirty words make his eyes widen and his stomach flutters. It’s not the first time something like this happened, you threw suggestive words or glances at him before but all this time he was certain that you did this unintended – even now, because the look on your face is innocent, genuinely innocent.
You aren’t teasing, you aren’t even aware of how flirty you can be sometimes.
He turns away from you, walking over to the fridge, he grabs the pineapple juice and puts it on the counter next to the bottle of rum.
He looks up at the shelf, where all the long drink glasses are. How convenient it is that you’re standing right in front of it.
While you do everything unintended, he doesn’t. He knows what he is doing when he steps towards you. He looks down at you with that same innocent look that you just gave him, the only difference is that he isn’t innocent. He places his hand on your waist, testing the waters. “Excuse me,” he murmurs, squeezing your waist ever so softly. He reaches over your shoulder as he grabs the glass, he keeps his eyes on you, biting back the smirk when he sees the way your eyes widen and you visibly gulp.
Your lips part and you start blinking, looking up at him before your eyes fall to his chest and you squirm beneath his stare.
Got you. He thinks.
You stop breathing and your heart freaking jumps in your chest, his innocent touch is almost enough to make your knees buckle.
Despite the nervousness, you look into his eyes, watching the way they twinkle with mischief. Bastard. Is he doing this on purpose? Because he somehow knows that every slightest touch from him drives you crazy?
He takes way too long to get that stupid glass from the shelf but fuck, you can’t help but love the way his big hand feels on your body, or the way he is almost pressed against you, the way the smell of his cologne makes your stomach flutter.
And then, he steps away like nothing happened.
Because it was nothing… to him.
Even when there’s a hint of a smirk on his lips as he prepares the drink, you know that this was only because he wanted to get a reaction out of you.
“Here,” he slides the drink over to you, still smirking, “try it.”
You wrap your hand around the cold glass and take the straw between your fingers, stirring the ice around, furrowing your brows, “what’s this called?”
He crosses his arms over his chest, “the King Steve special,” he winks.
You scrunch your face up at him.
Wrapping your lips around the straw, you look into his eyes as you try it, the sweetness from the pineapple juice definitely overpowers the taste of rum, and you don’t know if you like it or not.
Steve ignores the way his stomach tingles from watching you – watching your glossy lips as they’re wrapped around the black straw.
“Jesus, that really is a high school drink, King Steve.”
He squints his eyes at you, “it’s a fucking drink, Blondie.”
“A horrible one at that.”
He places his hand on his hip, rolling his eyes at your words, but a smirk tugs at his lips and he suddenly leans closer to you to whisper in your ear.
“You really fooled me with that dress of yours… if only you kept your mouth shut.”
He wants to stay and keep staring at the shocked look on your face, at the way you grow so flustered beneath his stare. The smirk that lingers on his lips grows even wider when he sees the way your lips part but close again.
He left you speechless.
He reaches for the bowl of salad, “gonna bring this out,” he says, tilting his head into the direction of the garden, “they set up the table outside.”
You don’t even hear his words, you just stare at his lips before your eyes fall on the chain around his neck. You swallow and look down, hiding your flustered face as you take another sip of the drink.
Steve holds back the chuckle, he turns away begrudgingly and walks out, he would’ve loved to see more of that look on your face.
It takes you a moment to recover from whatever that was, you nearly down the King Steve Special in one go. And maybe preparing yourself a second drink is a mistake, knowing that you will probably feel more than just a slight buzz, you only had breakfast and you skipped lunch because you were too busy getting ready and stressing over your hair that never looks nearly as perfect as Steve’s does.
You step out into the backyard, the table on the porch is already filled with food and drinks, the smell of the Barbecue lingering in the air. Jonathan is standing in front of the grill with Nancy by his side, her chin on his shoulder, her arm wrapped around his waist, they’re talking and smiling at each other.
As you watch them, the sudden realization that you will never have anything like they do, fills you with a slight sadness.
You don’t envy them, you’re happy for them, you’re happy for anyone who gets to experience love. But maybe, you envy the love someone else still holds for her, someone you will never have.
You look down, frowning at your drink.
The teens all stumble out into the backyard as Joyce ushers them to the table.
You flinch a little when you suddenly feel an arm around your shoulder, instantly recognizing Eddie’s cologne, you turn your head to look at him.
“This could be us if you weren’t such a gremlin,” he says as he points to Jonathan and Nancy who are now kissing, in front of the sizzling meat that is probably now burning.
You squint your eyes, shaking your head disapprovingly.
You know he’s only joking, and it fills you with relief, because as much as you crave what they have, you definitely don’t crave it with Eddie. You crave to have this with Steve, and it’s something you feel stupid for. The guy may not hate your guts anymore, but he’s surely not your biggest fan either.
“You know, you’re a gremlin too, Eds.”
“That’s why we’re best friends,” he chuckles, patting your shoulder as he looks down at the drink in your hand, “what’s that?”
“King Steve Special,” you snort, offering it to him, “well, this one was made by me.”
“Can I try?”
You hand it to him, and his curious eyes widen when he takes a sip, “wow, that is uh–”
“Too sweet?”
He shakes his head at you, curls bouncing, “nah, it’s perfect.”
“Well, you can have it, I might get drunk if I finish that.”
“Already!?” He scoffs, shaking his head at you, “lightweight.”
"Uh, excuse me? I haven’t had any drinks in months, Eddie. Months.”
“Well, I haven’t had any in weeks, I’m still standing.”
“You only took one sip!”
He takes another sip and grins at you, holding up two fingers.
“Two sips.”
You can’t even help but laugh, slapping his shoulder lightly, “you are so–”
“Funny? Handsome? Perfect?”
“Too cocky?” Lucas says behind Eddie, grinning at him.
“Me and cocky?” Eddie raises his brows, “never.”
“Oh no, that kid is right, boy. You’re cocky,” Hopper sighs, “trust me.”
“Well, I am also very fast, Chief,” he smirks, winking at the older man, “but you already know that.”
Hopper’s amused face grows serious, a hardened look takes over and he grumbles something under his breath as he stares at Eddie. You can’t even help but giggle. – A sound that doesn’t go unheard by Steve who just sat down across from Robin, not even hiding the fact that he no longer listens to her rambling about some movie she watched with Vickie last night. All he can do, all he can see, all he can hear right now is you, just you.
The sound of your giggles is not something he is used to – he is used to your grumbling, to your sarcastic chuckles and the smirks on your face. A giggle? A very unusual sound to hear but something that he’s been hearing quite often lately. If your friendship with Eddie wasn’t so obvious, he might’ve thought that you took a liking towards him, but it’s clear that your friendship with him is just like his with Robin; Platonic with a capital P.
He can’t help but smile as he watches you, not because he likes you, god no. He just likes watching you. You are pretty, gorgeous even. He always knew that, even through his dislike, he always saw your beauty – he isn’t blind. And seeing you like this makes his chest feel… warm.
He eyes your dress again, the lace on the straps lay so prettily on your shoulders, the silky material fitting your upper body so perfectly, it’s loose on your hips, and it’s short, not too short but enough to make him gulp.
The chair scrapes against the floor, but even that sound doesn’t tear his attention away from you.
Nancy steps up beside you, exchanging a few words with you and Eddie before she turns her head into Steve’s direction, she lifts her hand and points at him, something that instantly makes Steve tense up, because not only did Eddie catch him staring at you, you did too.
With his cheeks blushing red, he clears his throat and turns back to Robin who is now rambling Dustin’s ear off. He places his elbow on the armrest, running his fingers through his hair nervously.
What is wrong with him? Since when does he spend time staring at you? Since when does he blush because of you?
“Here you can sit next to your favorite person, gremlin.”
He doesn’t know who he expected to sit down beside him, but he surely didn’t think it’d be you. He goes to lift his head when you pull back the chair. Just as he’s about to glance at you, he suddenly feels your hand on his knee and hears your groan as you stumble forward a little.
“Almost broke my ankle, for fucks sake. I’m sorry, Lego head,” you mumble, inwardly cursing at yourself for tripping over the stupid leg chair and using him to steady yourself. You remove your hand when you finally sit down, turning away from him to hide the flustered look on your face.
He blinks, swallowing the lump in his throat, he plasters a smirk on his face, “are you drunk from that one drink, Blondie?” He chuckles, watching the way you roll your eyes at his question.
You feel a slight buzz, but you’re not sure whether it’s because of the alcohol or his ‘flirty’ comment that certainly had no meaning.
Steve loves to flirt and he does it every chance he gets but he definitely wouldn’t flirt with you, no matter how desperate he’d be, you’d never be good enough for Steve Harrington.
When everyone is finally seated and the rest of the food is now on the table, Hopper is standing up with a drink in his hand, waiting for the teen boys to stop talking so he can finally open his mouth to speak. He tries to be patient, he really tries.
Joyce looks down in amusement.
Jonathan waves at Dustin, trying to shut him up, but the boy doesn’t see, too focused on the conversation with Mike.
“Mike,” El whispers, nudging him with her elbow.
He looks away from Dustin, and turns to look at his girlfriend when his eyes find Hopper glaring at him with that very intimidating look on his face.
His face grows pale and he slowly leans back in his seat, punching Dustin in the arm to shut up.
Hopper clears his throat, he puts his hand on the back of his neck, squinting his eyes a little. It’s silent now, except for the faint music that still plays in the living room. His throat bobbed as he looked around the table.
You can tell that he struggles to find his words, by the note that sticks out of the pocket in his flannel, you can tell that he had already prepared a speech.
Joyce gives him an encouraging nod as she reaches for his hand.
“I uh– I just, I thought that it would be a great idea for us all to sit down and uh… chat. I’m not good at all of this so I’ll just jump straight into it,” he starts, chuckling at his own words, before seriousness takes over his features again, “you kids went through a lot, you went through too much, every single one of you. But you were all so brave, you stuck together and defeated that… son of a bitch.”
Giggles erupt around him and his lip twitches a little.
“We defeated him,” El says, smiling at her dad, “we defeated that son of a bitch, “together.”
“Language, kid,” Hopper chuckles but he shakes his head at her, “but yeah, together.”
“The past few years haven’t been easy for any of you,” he continues, looking at all the young teens, at his daughter, at Jonathan and Nancy but also at Robin and Steve, and then he looks between you and Eddie too. “You all lost something or someone, you shouldn’t know what it’s like but uh, I guess in all of this chaos, you all found each other and I-I think that’s, that’s something, that means a lot.”
You can tell that he is struggling to say these words out loud, you hear the shakiness in his voice, the way he is holding himself together, the way he is speaking so softly because of how emotional he is after he spent the past few years in darkness after losing people he loved.
El and Joyce stepped into his life and so much chaos followed when he was dragged into a mess he had only seen in movies before, but it also brought him so much light and happiness again.
Just like it did for you and you wouldn’t change a thing about it.
If you had to go back and relive all the awful things you had to endure those few weeks back, you would’ve done it in a heartbeat. Because, despite the horrors and the darkness you had been pulled into, you have found friends, a family. You found a best friend again, Eddie who sits across from you, smiling at you because he too, found a best friend in you.
And you and Steve, you aren’t close by any means, but you are happy to have him in your life now, even if only like this.
“And I, I found a family and my uh beautiful soon to be wife.”
It takes a moment for the words to sink in.
It takes another moment for everyone to lose their calmness.
When the soft smiles vanish and the shocked and surprised looks take over your faces, Joyce and Hopper can’t help but laugh.
“W-Wait what!?” Dustin shrieks, “you’re getting married!?”
“Yep,” Hopper nods, smiling proudly.
El is smiling excitedly, clapping her hands together, like she is relieved that it’s no longer a secret, “and I can’t wait for the wedding!”
Nancy and Jonathan laugh at her excitement, while Dustin still looks between the older couple.
You glance at Eddie, who is staring at Hopper like he wants to say something but he bites his tongue, not wanting to ruin the sweet moment with one of his jokes.
“And we want you all to be there,” Hopper nods with a small smile on his face, “it wasn’t my idea to invite you all, just so you know.”
Everyone laughs at his words and the fake grumpy look on his face, by now you all know that the former Chief isn’t as mean and cold as everyone always knew him to be.
“It was his idea,” Joyce smiles, cheekily.
“Of course it was, he loves us!” Dustin grins at Hopper.
“Well, congrats,” Robin smiles brightly, “I can’t believe you’re inviting a bunch of kids but hey, I’m excited!”
Joyce gives her a warm smile, while Hopper grumbles something under his breath as he looks between Dustin and Mike.
After all the congratulations go around, Hopper finally takes a seat, pointing at all the food on the table, including the few pieces of chicken that Jonathan had burned because he was too busy making out with Nancy, telling you all to finally ‘dig in’.
The conversations flow easily between everyone and it feels familiar despite being new to this circle.
And while you and Steve don’t really talk to each other, you feel his eyes on you every once in a while. You feel his arm brushing against yours, his hands grazing your knuckles whenever he reaches for his drink – and every slightest touch shoots electricity through your veins and your heart beats a little faster every time his skin touches yours.
You curse at yourself for feeling so weak for him, for almost crumbling after only these small and very innocent touches, for liking someone who spent most of his life hating you.
You spend the rest of the night avoiding him, trying to lean away, trying to look at anyone but at him. And even then, you can still feel his eyes on you and it’s driving you crazy and you suddenly can’t wait to get away from him so you can finally breathe and stop feeling so delusional – his comment, his touches, his glances are all getting too much. If he was someone else, you would think that he was flirting but he is Steve Harrington for god's sake, and he would never flirt, not with you.
You feel relief rushing through your whole body when hours later, Eddie announces that he is going home, you almost jump up and bolt towards the door but your best friend seems to have other plans.
With his hands on your shoulder and an apologetic smile on his face, he opens his mouth, “Buckley is driving my car tonight, I wouldn’t want to put you in danger, sorry sweets, you’re with Harrington tonight. Don’t worry, you’ll be in good hands.” He winks and pinches your cheek before he scurries away.
Robin follows him, winking at you as she walks out with Eddie’s car keys, and the teens following her.
Max gives you a sheepish smile, mouthing a ‘sorry’ before she walks out, as well, leaving you standing in the hallway.
What the hell.
You have been waiting to get away from him, now you’re forced to drive home with Steve? No. Just the thought of being alone with him makes you feel nervous.
You look around the empty hallway, you already said your goodbyes to everyone and no one will care how or who you went home with. You can just walk home… by yourself, and you won’t have to suffer through another car ride with Steve.
But as you reach for the knob, the sound of keys jingling stops you from opening the door. You close your eyes, clenching your jaw. You don’t have to look to know who it is.
“Running away from me?” Steve asks.
You look over your shoulder, meeting his eyes and the smirk on his face. Hazel eyes glowing beneath the dim lights.
“Come on, Blondie,” he murmurs, eyeing you up and down as he steps up behind you, placing his hand over yours so he can open the door.
His hand touches yours. His hand envelopes yours fully. His chest is almost pressed against your back. Your heart flutters and your knees almost buckle for real, this time.
His lip twitches and he licks them as he looks down at you.
You tear your eyes away from him when he opens the door. You quickly step out and breathe in the fresh night air, hoping that it will calm your racing heart.
“I-I didn’t know you’d be my ride tonight.”
Steve watches the way your dress sways as you walk down the porch steps. Fuck. He clears his throat, but feels unable to look away as he follows you. You don’t even look back at him, not until you’re standing next to his car and giving him a very annoyed look.
“Is that a problem for you?”
“Maybe.”
He shakes his head with a chuckle as he unlocks his car.
“Get your ass in the car, Blondie.”
Steve doesn’t know what it is about you today, but everything you do, everything you say drives him crazy. That cheeky smile that you throw at him as you open the door, the way you tilt your head as you lick your upper lip before you say “yes, sir.” Has him clenching his jaw.
He looks up into the night sky, taking a deep breath before he gets in the car.
He tries not to look at you, but it’s hard not to when he for some reason feels some sort of electric pull towards you tonight.
He starts the car and pulls out of the driveway without another word.
Neither of you speak on the drive home but Steve can’t help but steal glances, while you are completely unaware of it, just like you’re unaware of how much your dress rode up, not enough to reveal too much but enough to make him sweat.
Steve is under your spell tonight and you don’t even know it.
The drive to your house is too short for his liking and unlike him, who seems to be eager to spend more time with you tonight, you seem like you can’t wait to jump out of the car and get away from him.
You open the door, mumbling a ‘thanks for the ride.’
“You know, I really didn’t think that you could dress like that, Blondie.” He says, intending those words to sound… flirty.
A laugh falls from your lips because of how absurd this is. He didn’t think you looked cute, he probably thinks you dress too feminine for the attitude you have towards him, that’s all. This new kind of teasing is hurting you, but you can’t say anything about it to him, you can’t say that this hurts you, that it’s making you go insane. He would ask why, and you would have no excuse. You can’t face rejection, at least not right now… So you play along.
“Careful, Lego head. You’ll give me the wrong idea and make me think that you have a crush on me or something,” you joke with words he said to you not too long ago. You throw a wink at him and shut the door before he can even open his mouth to say something.
With his hand on the steering wheel and his eyes still stuck on you, he breathes heavily, his heart pounding and his cheeks burning as he slowly comes down from whatever high he had been on all day.
He swallows harshly, but his heart fucking flutters when he can smell your perfume that still lingers.
He watches you disappear into your house and shutting the door without giving him another glance or something.
He slumps back in his seat, throwing his hand into his hair, he runs his fingers through it as all the events come rushing to him.
The teasing, the touches, the… flirting.
Steve is stunned by his own actions, by how he acted towards you today – something that you were very unaware of, something that he is now glad about… Yet, he can’t help but feel a little disappointed that you didn’t notice the teasing.
He doesn’t even know where it all came from but he blames it on his desperation to feel something again, something that he had been craving for so long.
He was guided by lust, not by interest.
Because in no way, would he ever be interested in you.
All he saw today was a pretty girl in a pretty dress, it didn’t matter that it was you. He just needed to feel something, and he did… by teasing you.
But it’s something that will never happen again.
He swears, it will never happen again.

i would absolutely love a Hotch and stripper reader, him taking care of her after some kind of incident at her club or something? maybe a bit of angry hotch at the beginning, some angst? 💗💗💗
Your throat burns by the time his car pulls up.
You take the butt of the cigarette from between your lips and ash it next to the first. Your hand is sore between the index finger and thumb from a bad stretch, aching as you press into your pocket for your stolen box of Marlboro golds. You’ll apologise for taking them some other time.
You press the third between your lips and flick the lighter. You’re not good at lighting them, worse at the first inhale, your throat an agony that rivals the sting of your battered cheek.
Shoes on the sidewalk, a scratch of loose gravel. Your eyes well with another line of tears that you work hard to hold in, taking another quick, cruel drag. They don’t make cigarettes long enough, in your opinion. They don’t last.
He stops in front of you. Quiet, Agent Hotchner looks down at you where you’re sitting on the low wall, expression as steely as ever. You meet his eyes, worried your wobbly lip is giving you away, not sure calling him was the right thing to do after all.
When he raises his hand to the cigarette you let him take it. His fingers wrap carefully around the butt of it, the side of his thumb brushing your lips.
He flicks it to the ground and steps on it flat.
You don’t say hello. It’s obvious you’ll cry, he can tell too, and he doesn’t make you. You wince as he raises his hand again, your eyes squinting closed, but he isn’t going to hurt you. His palm is warm where it cups your cheek, turning your face to the light emanating off of the club neons.
“Do you know his name?” he asks.
“No.”
He raises your chin higher still. His frown turns to a glare, the brunt of which is directed elsewhere but intimidating all the same. His touching is gentle at least.
“What happened?”
“I told him no.”
His jaw ticks. “Can I take you home?”
You sniffle, turning your face out of his hand and down to your lap. He’s kissed you, he’s done more than that, but he knows you’d felt like you had no choice and so he’s giving it to you now. It’s exactly why you’d called him. It’s the man he is, and he should never have ended up looking after you.
“Sorry I called you,” you say, hiding your face in one hand. Pain flickers behind your eyes as tears mount for the tenth time tonight.
Hotch gives a sigh, sitting on the wall beside you. He wraps his arm behind your back and with a familiarity you need desperately. You press yourself into his side, sew your arm hesitantly over his stomach, the starch of a pressed shirt crisp on your clammy skin.
“It’s cold out here,” he murmurs, bringing both hands to your arm, one to hold you tight, the other to rub your cool skin.
“I think I want to quit.”
He nods into the side of your head. “I think you should,” he says, “if that’s what you want… honey, you can do whatever you want.”
“I don’t think I can. I’m trapped and it’s my fault.”
“It’s not your fault.” He encourages your head under his, your face to his neck. When he talks, it’s a quiet, lulling promise. “You’re not trapped. I’ll do anything you need me to do. If you want an apartment, I’ll get it for you. If you want to shut this place down, I will. The last thing either of us want is for you to work here when you don’t want to.”
“You don’t have to say work here like I’m not a glorified prostitute,” you say hotly, anger turned in rather than out.
“You don’t really think that.”
Being a sex worker is complicated. You don’t know how you feel about it, and you can’t ever understand why Hotch would bother with you. You’d worried at first that your vulnerability is what attracted him, like a kid with a broken bird, but he’s proved a hundred times that your job is pretty much separate from why he likes you. He thinks you're pretty. He loves your voice. You make each other laugh, and somehow inexplicably he’s the first person you call when things go wrong.
“Quit your job,” he says. “Even if it’s just to dance somewhere else.”
“You can say strip.”
He nods. “You shouldn’t have to worry whether your ‘no’ will be met with a backhand. You know that breaks my heart?”
You blink and pull away from him. He isn’t unemotional, but it’s a surprise nonetheless to hear him talk like this. “Aaron–”
“Please,” he says. “I shouldn’t ask you to. But there are better places for you. You deserve more.”
If it were anyone else you might get defensive. Only people who do your job could understand why you do it, it’s a hundred different things to you, but you do deserve more. You’re sick of leery men, sick of wolf whistles and bad tips and other people's hands. Hotch has never asked you to stop, but now he is, it’s to keep you safe.
You can’t begrudge him.
“I’m sorry,” you say.
“No.” He rubs your arm. “I’m sorry. You didn’t deserve that. And I’ll make it right.”
“It’s not your fault.”
“I’ll make it right,” he promises. “No matter what. No one gets to hurt you.”
You could quit. You want to. Even if it’s just for a couple of weeks, just so you don’t have to pretend you know what you’re doing. You’ll think about it in the morning. “Could I stay with you for a bit?” you whisper. “Just tonight. Please.”
Hotch taps your back for you to stand. He stands with you, brushing down your coat, his eyes impassive where they look over your face, your purpling bruise.
“You can wait in the car,” he says quietly. “I’m going to ask a few questions inside before we leave.”

“Stop doing that.” He says firmly, glaring up at you from between your thighs before impatiently yanking you back down onto his face once more.
He had asked you if you’d try sitting on his face as you casually lay together in his bed. You were a little skeptical, a list of ways you could possibly hurt him immediately going through your head. What if you were too heavy? What if you got too into it and he couldn’t breathe? You saw someone on twitter once who accidentally hurt their partner’s neck doing this and they had to go to the hospital; and if that happened, you would probably kill yourself out of embarrassment.
It took everything in him not to laugh at how ridiculous you were being as you expressed your concerns, the only thing keeping him from teasing you was seeing the genuine worry on your face, scared that you would actually hurt him somehow by just sitting on his face. He took your hands, assuring you that absolutely nothing would go wrong, that no, you’re not heavy, you’re not going to smother him with your thighs or your pussy (which, honestly, was his goal, but he refrained from admitting this to prevent you from freaking out even more) that if he couldn’t breathe or if he felt something was wrong, he would immediately tell you or simply push you off of him.
“I’m a big boy, baby. You’re not gonna hurt me. I promise.”
He knew you were still doubtful as you hovered over his face, reluctant about lowering your weight. He tried to ignore his cock already hardening at the glorious sight of your cunt, slick and aching for his attention, hanging so close yet so far above him. But he knew he had to be patient, so he helped you ease into it by encouraging you to grind on his tongue a little as a start.
Tentatively, you barely lower your hips, shuddering slightly when his tongue meets the sensitive button between your legs. Once he feels the heat of your cunt weighing down on his face, the skin of your thighs on either side of his head, he feels like a bear caught in a honey trap. His eyes flutter with bliss once you twitch and cum in his mouth, nearly cumming in his boxers from the lovely sounds that leave your lips.
From there, it goes downhill. After you first cum you can barely hold yourself up, about to mount off of his face before you’re suddenly pulled back down, nearly squealing from his tongue zeroing in on your puffy clit, before stuffing itself back into your cunt. That was about ten minutes ago.
This time, his strong arms loop around your trembling thighs, keeping you firmly planted on his lips with no chance to pull away again. He can barely think, all of his senses overwhelmed with you. Your sweet scent, your addicting taste, your desperate, uncontrollable moans as he mercilessly laps at your leaking cunt. His encouraging and reassuring attitude immediately flew out the window once he stared to get into it. Not only were you hindering your pleasure by pulling away, but also his own!
“Stop pulling away, I swear to fucking god.” He warns in a breathless, hoarse voice, his pupils dilated as he looks up at you before burying his face into your pussy again. His warning fell onto deaf ears, as you were so far gone at this point you were a boneless, shaking mess on top of him. You didn’t even have the strength speak, merely gasping and whimpering for mercy, being only held up by his wide palms gripping your hips, easily balancing your weight and dragging your clit across his tongue; impatiently trying to coax more of your cum into his warm mouth.

CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT TELLING BOYFRIEND JAY YOU HAVE NO PANTIES ON AMD CONTINUING CONVERSING LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED PLEASE
warnings: they're in church lmfao, jay malfunctions, finger fucking, car stuff, jay is a needy dominate motherfucker fr
wc: 1.1k
note: ive decided anything over 1.5k will be posted separately from the ask. i still consider this a drabble lol
The words resonate in his brain, bouncing off every image and thought he had previously to you saying that to him. It's like he malfunctions before reacting, his entire body excited by the mere suggestion. "I'm not wearing panties." You had whispered right up against him through an innocent hug. So casually, with a voice so calm and balanced to him. Your tone was no different than when you'd tell him "I missed you" in a hug when you go to his house. Then again, it's not like the tone really matters. It's the words, the suggestion behind them. Given the fact that the two of you are in a place where it's considered highly inappropriate for his body to be acting this way. You manage to make it more inappropriate that you didn't wear panties in the first place.
The two of you are rarely ever found at church but on the rare occasion, your parents ask for you to be there. In turn, you always drag your boyfriend with you to save you from the long and boring few hours needing to be spent there. So, yeah, it's safe to say that the way Jay reacts is expected considering he can't actually react the way he wants or needs to right now. You did it to tease, to be cheeky and make him suffer even more. He can tell by the way you smirk, acting as if that hug you just gave him was nothing more and absolutely didn't involve dirty talk. He watches how you ignore his hungry gaze now, continuing a conversation with your parents and great aunt. He's supposed to be involved in this topic but instead he's too busy knowing that if he simply slips his hand up your dress, he could slide right in.
You’re so…defiant, and all of it reminds him why he loves being with you. Always sweet, always beautiful, always fucking loving it when he’s suffering not only because of you, but for you.
And you continue to tease him through the event. You’re well aware that he’s in his head about it, considering he’s always ready to please and always unintentionally horny around you. You enjoy that about him though, because it lets you fuck with him in a place like this.
Watching him suffer is funny, usually, because you know at some point he’s gonna break and absolutely break you along with him. But right now? You’ve never done this to him in a space where he couldn’t escape or lose his composure.
It’s not funny now. It’s hot.
Even the slightest grip of your hand on his bicep makes him release a small, frustrated sigh. Anyone else would think that sound is just him catching his breath, or perhaps pondering what heaven would be like for him. But you know what that sound is. You hear it most often against your neck or between your legs.
A frustrated sound that tells you clearly how frustrated Jay becomes knowing he can’t devour you whole and keep you forever. A needy sound that somehow comes from the dominance within him to worship and praise every inch of your body with his mouth, hands, cock–
“Jay–” You whisper again, noting his stiffened body as he pushes through various hugs from people definitely wearing underwear. “What’re you gonna do to me?”
The way the remaining blood in his head rushes to his cock right then and there, snapping his eyes to you just as you pull away from him to give a half-assed hug to the pastor’s wife. The event is coming to a close and he can fucking see how excited you are to find out.
He stares at you knowingly, looking you up and down, with the way you wore a dress far too short for this event anyway. Your mother commented on when she saw you, she even apologized to him for your blatant disrespect or something.
Your mother may be against you flaunting your body, but Jay knew from the moment he saw you that you did it for him. To occupy him. To apologize for dragging him here with you.
Only to fuck him up by telling him your pussy is literally out for him too, and now?! You want to know what he’s going to do to you?
Oh, baby. Just you wait.
The final five minutes of the event feel like they lasted twice as long as the services, but eventually you find yourself in Jay’s car again. You knew he wouldn’t make it out of the parking lot, truly.
The moment he gets into his car, his hand shoots straight between your legs as if he needed proof. Somehow, the force of his hand shocks you. He’s not gentle, he’s needy, forceful. You can tell by the way he lets out a breathy groan finding you not only naked under this dress, but dripping too.
Jay can’t help himself. He slips two fingers in automatically, moaning at the pleasure he knows he intends to give to you.
“You wanna know what I’m gonna do to you?” He finally asks, tucking his fingers deep in you before using the other hand to maneuver out of the parking lot.
You note the speed of which he backs out and drives away, yet the stillness and pressure of his fingers still show the same eager need.
“Mhm–” You nod, blinking at him innocently all while spreading your legs like the whore you know you want to be for him.
Jay side eyes you at that, keeping his eyes on the road but feeling the clench of your needy pussy. He doesn’t need to look at you to know what sort of sly expression you’re throwing at him. You know what you did, and you know what you’re gonna get for it too.
“I think you know exactly what I’m going to do.”
And while the two of you do make it back to Jay’s house, you don’t quite make it out of the garage and into the living room at the very least. His bedroom is out of the question, just a couple of feet too far, and a couple of seconds too long to wait by now.
You’re not shocked to find yourself fucked open and making a mess from his fingers alone after a mere three minutes of him turning his car off, and he’s not shocked that you’re dripping all over him when he pulls his cock out and plants you directly on it without so much as opening his car door.
He leans his seat back with ease, knowing you’ll have the control in this instance but he doesn’t mind. He’s not going to be done with you quite yet anyway.
You both know it.

A/n: I finally managed to write part 2 lol 🫠 it’s a lot of new lore which I love tbh. It’s pretty nasty and wild and omg tell me if I fucked it up. Pls like, share and comment!!!! It means a LOT to me and keeps me motivated.
It was a cold winter evening, snow was falling quietly.
Joel had lit the fireplace and was busy keeping it burning. He had chopped the firewood himself. Occasionally, he glanced at the wall clock. It was just before nine…
He gave you another five minutes; if you weren't home by then, he and his gun would come looking for you.
For Joel, there was absolutely no reason for you to meet with friends to such late hours and waste yourself at parties. Your place was right here, with him.
He glanced at the wall clock again. Now it was already fifteen minutes past nine, and you were still not home. He stood up and grabbed his gun. If he had to be honest with himself he was glad that you disregarded his agreement— because now he had a good reason to revoke your privilege of ever going out again.
Joel yanked the front door open, ready to storm the party and drag you home. But just as he was about to step outside, there you stood, wide-eyed and trembling.
His expression hardened. Joel was a big, strong man, and despite his age, he was not to be underestimated. You had seen what he was capable of, had felt it firsthand.
His steely gaze shifted to Tommy, standing a few feet away. Tommy gave him a nod. Joel’s eyes returned to you, his adoptive daughter, tears welling up in your eyes.
“You're late," Joel said, his voice cold, uncertain how to read the situation. He could tell something had happened, but he didn't know what.
"I'm sorry, Dad," you whispered, your voice breaking.
"That's probably my fault," Tommy interjected. "I was having a smoke and held her up on her way home. She told me what happened at the party..."
Joel's ears perked up at Tommy's words. "And what happened?" Joel asked, his gaze shifting to you.
You looked down, too scared to lie to Joel any longer.
You hadn't been at any party. You had met up with Dean Winchester and were caught by your uncle, who coerced you into sex with him.
But Joel could never know that.
"Calm down, brother. It was just a little fight between girls. They're teenagers, you know how they are," Tommy said smoothly.
Joel's skeptical gaze shifted from Tommy to you. He trusted Tommy. Joel's body language relaxed a bit, and he only now realized how tightly he had been gripping his gun, ready to fire at any moment.
"I told you that Anna is a bitch," Joel said to you and stepped away from the doorframe so that you could step in.
You rushed inside.
“Where are your manners?” Joel said and stopped you in your tracks.
You glanced at Joel, then at Tommy, sensing the weight of Joel’s expectations pressing down on you. Joel had drilled it into you: girls must have good manners, always be polite and respectful. For Joel, respect was very important, especially from women.
Joel’s cold eyes bore into you, expecting nothing less than complete submission.
“Good night, uncle Tommy.”, you whispered. “Thanks for bringing me home.”
"You're welcome, sweetheart," Tommy replied politely.
Tommy watched with a mixture of fascination and pity. To him, it was a cruel spectacle, watching you submit so completely. Joel had molded you into his perfect vision of a compliant, obedient girl, and it was both disturbing and impressive.
Well, Tommy knew you weren’t that obedient…after all you still had the guts to lie to Joel and kiss other boys behind his back.
Joel nodded, satisfied for the moment. "Good. Now go to your room. We’ll discuss your punishment later."
You rushed inside but stopped at the stairs, hidden behind the corner, so to be able to hear their conversation.
Joel set his gun aside. "Thanks for looking out for her, Tommy."
"She's family," Tommy said with a smile, though Joel didn't suspect the secret hidden behind that smile.
"Just do me a favor, brother," Tommy began. "Don't be too hard on the girl. If I hadn't held her up, she would've made it home on time."
Joel nodded, his expression stern. "You know how they are. Without consequences, they never learn from their mistakes."
Tommy's smile remained, but there was a glint in his eye that Joel missed. "True, but she's just a kid. Give her a chance to prove herself."
Joel grunted, dismissing the plea with a wave of his hand. "Girls need discipline. Without it, they get ideas. And ideas lead to trouble."
Even before the apocalypse, Joel had been an old-fashioned man. He firmly believed that "women are meant to be seen, not heard." The chaos of the apocalypse had only cemented his convictions, hardening his already rigid views.
„Night, Brother.“
„Good night, Tommy.“
As you stood there, listening to their exchange, you couldn't help but feel a pang of dread. You rushed up the stairs.
———
You were frantically wiping the lipstick off your trembling lips. Joel could never find out what had really happened that night. Never.
You heard the heavy thud of his boots walk up the stairs. You quickly started stripping off your clothes, knowing that this was what Joel would’ve expected from you. Jacket first, then your top, and finally your skirt. Now, completely naked, you sprawled across the bed, your upper body pressed against the sheets, legs dangling off the edge, and your bare backside exposed. Your heart pounded with adrenaline, each beat echoing in your ears. Desperation mixed with fear as you clasped your hands together, beginning to pray to god for mercy just as your biological father had taught you.
You remembered Joel’s cruel words the first time he’d caught you pray: “I am your god now.”
The door creaked open, and the first thing Joel saw was your exposed ass. The room seemed to hold its breath as he stepped in. The air was thick with the scent of your sweat and fear.
You could feel his gaze burning into your skin.
Your mind raced, searching for a way to make him go easy on you.
“I’m sorry for being late, dad.”, you pressed out. “It will never happen again.”
"Oh, I know," Joel finally said, his voice low, it made your skin crawl. "Ya will not leave ma house after sunset. Ya can't handle yourself out there."
"What? No! That's totally unfair!" you wanted to shout, but a sense of self-preservation clamped your lips shut. You knew arguing with Joel was pointless. Once he made up his mind, there was no changing it.
Silence hung heavily between you.
Joel's footsteps were deliberate as he crossed the room. You could feel his dominating presence behind you. His shadow swallowing the dim light of the room. His hand reached out, fingers brushing against your ass with a possessive familiarity that sent a shiver down your spine. It was sick how much he enjoyed this. And no matter what he did to you he could tell you were not completely broken yet, there was still fire behind those scared eyes.
"Ya know I still need to punish ya?”, Joel said knowing damn well that he didn’t need to—but he wanted to punish you.
"Lie on your back on the bed," he commanded, and you complied without a word of protest.
Your heart raced as you lay flat on the bed, eyes widening when you saw the straps in Joel's hand. They could only mean one thing: he intended to bind you to the bed…
Your breath hitched as he took your wrists, securing them to the bedframe with practiced ease. Memories of the past flooded back—times when you had fought him fiercely, screaming and thrashing, trying to push him away. But you hadn't done that in a long time. Confusion grew inside you.
"I won't fight you," you pleaded softly, hoping to avoid the restraints. "You don't need to tie me up, dad."
Joel's eyes met yours, a flicker of something—doubt, maybe?—crossing his gaze. But it was gone as quickly as it appeared, replaced by his usual stoic determination. He finished his task methodically, only stepping back once he was satisfied with his work.
The thing he had planned to do to you was something he’d never done before. He had only seen a raider do it to a female prisoner once…
Your wrists ached slightly from the tightness of the straps.
"Do’ya know why I'm going to punish ya?" Joel's words were dripping with the promise of pain.
You nodded, tears welling up from your eyes. "You will punish me for coming home late. I'm sorry, Dad."
"Ya need to understand your place," he growled, his eyes boring into yours. "Since we got to Jackson, you've been acting up. Thinkin ya free to do whatever. Thinkin ya don't need me no more."
"No, I need you, Dad. I need you. I love you, Daddy," you sniffled. The last thing you wanted was for Joel to think so bad of you.
Joel's expression softened for a brief moment, but then his eyes hardened again. "Let me tell ya somethin," he said, his voice carrying the weight of bitter experience. "I've seen safe zones and camps fall that were much bigger than Jackson. This place is a goddamn joke. The people here are soft. Once this place burns to the ground, who do ya think will take care of ya ass?"
"You will, Dad."
"Damn right," he muttered, his voice a mix of anger and possessiveness. He leaned in closer, his face inches from yours. "You think these people can protect ya? They can't. They're weak. I'm the only one who can keep you safe."
His words cut deep. You felt a fresh wave of tears spill over, your body trembling with the weight of his expectations and the fear of his anger. If coming home late made Joel this angry, what would he do if he ever found out what you really did tonight?
"I'm sorry, Daddy," you whispered again, hoping to appease him. "I won't disobey you ever again.”
Joel's big rough hand cupped your chin, lifting your face so you had no choice but to meet his gaze. "Ya better not," he said, his voice softening just a fraction. "You're my responsibility. And I won't let anything happen to ya. But ya have to follow my rules. Understand?"
You nodded, the fear and love you felt for him mingling into a confusing mess of emotions. You needed to hate him but loving him was much easier.
Joel released your chin and stepped back.
"Good," he said finally. "Now, remember this. Without me, you're nothing. Don't ever forget that."
“Without you I’m nothing.”, you repeated.
Joel rummaged through his pocket and pulled out a small jar. In his large hands, the tiny container looked almost comical. Inside was a homemade, gray paste.
"What is that?" you asked, your voice trembling.
"Your punishment, Joel murmured, unscrewing the lid. He sniffed the contents, the sharp and bitter scent filling the room.
You had no idea what it was, but dread coiled in your stomach.
"Show me your cunt“ he ordered.
Skepticism flickered in your eyes, but you knew better than to disobey. Slowly, you parted your legs, exposing yourself to whatever he had planned.
You’d the most perfect little cunt he’d ever seen. Even after everything he’d put it through, it was still artwork. For a moment he thought about fucking your cunt first before punishing you—a thought he quickly dismissed. He was already tired and needed to wake up early in the morning for patrol.
He dipped his fingers into the paste, and a chill ran down your spine as he approached your exposed vagina. The substance glistened ominously in the dim light.
He knelt between your legs, the air thick with tension. He loved the smell of your cunt. "This is to remind ya of your place," he said, his voice a low growl.
The first touch of the paste on your skin burned, and you bit back a scream, tears springing to your eyes.
But the pain spread like a wildfire, a relentless fire that seemed to pierce through your very being.
„OUCH!! Ah!! No stop!“, You writhed against the restraints.
"Stay still, he commanded, his voice cold and devoid of mercy. "You brought this on yourself."
„P-please, ahhhh!!! Make it stop, dad, please!“, you screamed your lungs out. It was unlike anything you’ve ever felt in your life.
"Let this be a lesson," he said finally, standing up and wiping his hands. "Next time, think twice before breaking any of my rules."
Joel stepped back to admire his handiwork.
You lay there, naked and bound to the bed, your cunt completely smeared with the thick, gray paste. You were sobbing and screaming in agony, the sound of your desperate cries echoing off the walls.
For a brief moment, Joel worried someone might hear your tortured pleas, but the nearest house was Tommy's.
You thrashed against the restraints, tears streaming down your face as you begged for mercy. "Please, Dad, please help me! It hurts so much!"
"The pain will fade soon," Joel said, his voice unnervingly calm. He watched you struggle. The sight of you in such distress brought a flicker of doubt to his mind, but he quickly pushed it aside. This was for your own good, he told himself. You needed to learn. He was also hard as a fucking brick but he knew better than to bring his cock anywhere near the paste.
Tomorrow, he told himself.
„Good night.“, he said and left you there, bound and suffering. He closed the door behind him.
„Noo, daddy please don’t leave me daddy!“, you screamed but the door had already fallen shut.
Now you lay there in excruciating pain, and all you could think about was how much you hated Tommy. This was all his fault. If Tommy hadn't caught you fooling around with Dean, you wouldn't have come home late, and Joel wouldn't have punished you. The anger towards Tommy burned almost as intensely as the paste on your cunt.
Each breath was a struggle, each movement a reminder of your helplessness.
Eventually, exhaustion began to overtake the pain. Your body, pushed to its limits, sought refuge in sleep. Your eyelids grew heavy, the room around you blurring into darkness. Your mind started to drift, the need for rest overpowering the torment.
In your final moments of consciousness, a single tear slipped down your cheek. As sleep claimed you, you felt sad, hurt, and furious at your uncle for betraying you like this. You had always thought Tommy was a kind man, but now you knew the truth.
———
The next day, you jolted awake, the horrors of the previous night still fresh in your mind.
Despite the hours of sleep, exhaustion clung to your bones. You noticed your hands were no longer bound to the bed, and the grey paste had been cleaned off your swollen, raw skin.
Joel must have come into your room early in the morning and taken care of it.
Your intimate area was still red, swollen, and throbbing with pain, but you knew you had to push through it.
Joel didn’t just expect from you to be his little sex puppy. There was also a list of chores you had to do while he was at work, patrolling or working on construction aides around Jacksonville. A few of your chores were: laundry, dusting, and preparing dinner.
After his shift, he would be tired and hungry, and he demanded a hot meal ready.
You were peeling potatoes in the kitchen when a sudden knock at the door startled you. A glance at the clock told you it was too early for Joel to be home.
Wiping your hands on your t-shirt, you hobbled to the door, each step sending waves of pain through your body. You had tried icing your cunt with snow all morning, but nothing seemed to help.
Unaware of what awaited, you opened the door, and your blood ran cold as you saw who stood on the other side.
Uncle Tommy.
Fear and anger surged through you, and you instinctively tried to slam the door shut. But Tommy was faster, jamming his foot in the doorframe to stop it from closing.
He laughed, a cruel, mocking sound. "Now, is that any way to greet your uncle? What would Joel say if he saw this?"
Your heart pounded in your chest, rage and terror battling for dominance. Tommy's presence was a cruel reminder of who was to blame for the previous night's punishment.
"Joel isn’t at home." you said, trying to keep your voice steady, hoping that this information was enough to make the man leave.
Tommy's grin widened, and he leaned closer, his dark brown eyes gleaming with amusement. "I just came to check on my favorite niece. Heard you had a rough night."
Your stomach churned, and you fought the urge to scream. "I’m fine. Now leave me alone, please.”
Tommy's expression darkened, you’d never spoken this dismissively with him. He pushed the door open wider, forcing you to step back. "You better watch your tone, girl. Remember, I know all your little secrets. My brother wouldn’t like hearing about what you were up to last night."
The threat hung heavy in the air, and you knew he was right. One word from Tommy and Joel would unleash his fury all over again. You swallowed hard, the taste of fear bitter on your tongue. "What do you want?" you repeated, your voice barely above a whisper.
Tommy stepped inside, closing the door behind him. "Just a little chat," he said, his tone deceptively casual. "We need to make sure you understand how things work around here."
He casually walked into the living room, glancing around as if he owned the place, before collapsing onto the couch.
He threw a look towards the kitchen. "see you're preparing dinner," Tommy said. "Hope I'm not interrupting. What's on the menu?"
"Mashed potatoes and chicken," you replied, feeling foolish for answering such a mundane question. M
Tommy's grin widened with amusement. "What a good little cook you are for my brother. He's lucky to have found such a talented little thing like you."
"What do you want here?" you demanded, trying to keep your voice steady.
Tommy leaned back and spread his legs, making himself comfortable. "Oh, I'm just curious. Tell me how my brother punished you last night," he said, eyes gleaming with a mixture of interest and malice. He had obviously noticed your limping and could only imagine what twisted punishment Joel had come up with.
Your hands clenched into fists at your sides, fighting the tears that threatened to spill over. "He burned me," you finally whispered, voice cracking. "And it's all your fault!”
Confusion flickered across Tommy's face.
Mutilation just for being 15 minutes late? That seemed too extreme, even for Joel.
You walked over to the small table behind the dining area and grabbed the jar of gray paste. "He smeared this on me," you said, your voice shaking with a mix of anger and pain. "It burned like fire!”
Tommy took the jar from you and sniffed it, recognition flashing in his eyes. "Chili and ginger," he chuckled darkly. "That twisted bastard…”
You stared at him, confusion mingling with your anger. "How…how do you know that?"
Tommy leaned back, holding the jar up. "Years ago, me and Joel ran with a pretty nasty raider gang….They had a particular method for breaking captives—female captives. This paste was one of their favorites.”
"That sounds…that sounds horrible," you whispered, horrified of the thought.
Tommy nodded, his expression serious for once. "Yeah, it was. Can't believe Joel would use this method on ya to be honest.”
You felt a wave of shame and anger. "And now you're here, rubbing it in my face?", you sniffed and looked down biting your tongue.
Tommy shrugged, his grin returning. "You've been acting up since we got here. Joel's only doing what he thinks is best.”
"That’s not true!" you snapped, tears finally spilling over. "I am not acting up. I got home late because of you-“
“No? So I didn’t caught you in a lie last night?”, he interrupted you. “You lied to Joel to make out with that Dean kid, like a little slut. And you are fucking his brother…Sounds pretty much like acting up to me., Tommy's eyes gleamed with a mix of amusement and cruelty.
Your hands trembled, anger bubbling up inside you. "I…I’m not…I’m not fucking you. You blackmailed me into having sex with you.”
Tommy scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Come on, I know what rape looks like. I fucked you good—nice and hard—you enjoyed yourself, didn't ya? ‘Came like a fucking bitch around my cock."
You shook your head vehemently, tears streaming down your face. "I-I-I didn't! It was…it was against my will."
Tommy's smirk grew. "Oh, don't cry, sweetheart. Ya just a little slut that needs cock, and Joel knows that. Why do you think he treats you like his personal whore, mh?“
"'m not his plaything!" you shouted, desperation in your voice. "I'm his...I’m his daughter.”
Now Tommy let out a loud deep genuine laugh. He was quiet impressed with how naive you were. “Because you call him daddy?”
“I-I…”
"Do you know who Sarah is?" Tommy suddenly asked. "Did Joel ever tell you about her?"
You froze, caught off guard by the question. "I once went through Joel's bag and found a picture of a girl with 'Sarah' written on the back," you admitted. You had no idea who the girl was or why Joel kept the photo, and you had never dared to ask him about it.
"She was his daughter," Tommy said, his tone uncharacteristically somber. "She was killed right at the start of all this. Her death changed Joel."
The weight of Tommy’s words hung heavy in the air. You had always sensed there was a darkness in Joel, a wound that had never healed. You also understood what Tommy was trying to tell you with this information: you could never replace Sarah.
Tommy leaned in closer, his voice a low whisper. "Face it, sweetheart, you're nothing more than a toy for him to use and abuse."
His words hit you like a punch to the gut, leaving you breathless and shaking.
“He showed you last night how easy it is for him to hurt you. Ya think he would do that to his daughter?”, Tommy laughed once again. “Do you want my advice?”
You nodded, totally defeated still thinking about Sarah.
"Don't piss him off, or the flesh on your bones will be his next meal," Tommy said, his voice dripping with menace.
Your eyes widened in shock. Was he being literally…? Would Joel really…?
"And do you know what would really piss Joel off?" Tommy continued, a cruel smile playing on his lips. "Hearing about watcha did last night. Kissing boys and screwing his brother—Sure, he'd be mad at me too, but you wouldn't be the first bitch we've shared."
You felt a chill run down your spine. The implications of Tommy's words were terrifying.
Tommy leaned closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You think Joel's been rough on you? You have no idea what he's capable of when he's truly angry. And if he finds out about last night... well, let's just say you'll wish you'd never been born.”
Tears welled up in your eyes, the fear and humiliation overwhelming. You could barely breathe as Tommy stood up, towering over you, his grin widening. "S’okey, sweetheart. He won’t find out, my lips are sealed. But you know what I want from you in return?”
You nodded looking down. This felt like an inescapable nightmare. You were trapped.
“You do what I say and my brother will never know about your little shenanigans. Alright?”
You nodded.
“Nah, sweetheart. Words.”
“Yes.”
“Yes, what?”
“Yes, sir.”
Tommy smiled. “No, you like playing house so much with Joel, so let’s keep playing pretend. I’m ya uncle, am I not?”
You nodded. “Yes. Uncle Tommy.”
“Good little girl. So go down on your knees. Don’t worry I’ll not touch your little burned cunt. But I’m going to use that mouth of yours.”
You went down on your knees.
"We've got plenty of time before Joel gets home," Tommy said, his voice low and menacing as he unbuckled his belt and unzipped his jeans. He stepped out of his pants and sat back down on the couch, spreading his legs wide and propping one foot up on the table. With a rough grip, he grabbed a handful of your hair and yanked you closer to his balls.
"Let's see how well you can follow orders," he sneered, pulling your face towards his balls. The look in his eyes was predatory, a twisted mix of dominance and cruel amusement.
Your heart pounded in your chest.
“Start by eating my ass and work yourself up. A nice wet blowjob s’all I want. Surely my brother trained your mouth well enough for you to not fuck this up?”
You blinked in confusion. “Eating…eating your ass?”
Tommy laughed at your confused face. He understood immediately. “What? You never rimmed Joel’s ass? Seriously? Oh how nasty of me? Well, kiddo, it’s not rocket science. All ya have to do is to poke your little tongue in and out my asshole n give it a few nice licks.”
You twisted your face in disgust, making Tommy laugh again. His dick was rock hard. “Don’t act all virgin, babygirl. The clock is ticking, Joel be home in an hour, let’s make this quick.”
Realizing there was no escaping this nightmare, you closed your eyes. The feeling of helplessness was overwhelming, and you could feel the tears streaming down your face, hot and relentless. With a shuddering breath, you leaned in, spreading Tommy's ass-cheeks with both your hands as he smirked down at you.
"That's it, be a good girl," he taunted, his voice dripping with cruel satisfaction. His hand remained tangled in your hair, guiding you with an iron grip.
You swallowed hard, forcing yourself to comply. You stick your tongue out and gave his asshole a lick. The taste was repugnant, and every fiber of your being screamed to pull away, to fight back, but you knew it was useless. You pushed your tongue as deep as you could, trying to numb your mind to the horror of it all. The musky taste mingled with your tears, each second feeling like an eternity. Your tongue was too small to reach very deep but Tommy pressed you face down as much as he could, making you hiccup while crying and trying to perform.
Tommy's laugh echoed above you, a sound that sent chills down your spine. "You're doing so well. Maybe I just tell Joel to make you rim him too?”
You shook your head, no. Much to Tommys amusement.
Your tongue could feel every hair that grew around your his asshole and the thought alone of what you were doing to this man was enough to make you gag.
“Keep the gagging for when I fuck your mouth, sweetheart.”
“Tell me how much you like eating your uncles ass, babygirl.”, he said and yanked your face away from his ass.
You took a breath and murmured in between cries “I love eating my uncles ass so much!”
“Good job, keep going then put that tongue to work.”
After he was satisfied with your work on his ass, he grabbed your face and led his cock in between your lips. He fucked your mouth, quick and fast.
You were like a lifeless puppet under his grip. Your head bobbling back and forth, back and forth to the rhythm he was leading. Seeing you struggling to eat his ass had made Tommy nearly cum by itself, so it didn’t take him long to leave a big load in your throat.
He finally released his grip on your hair, and you collapsed to the floor, your body trembling. Gasping for breath, you could taste the remnants of your ordeal on your lips, the salt of your tears mixed with the nasty taste of shame. Tommy leaned back into the couch, a satisfied smirk on his face as he casually put his pants back up.
You lay there on the cold, hard floor, feeling utterly broken. The room was spinning. Every breath felt like it took immense effort, each one punctuated by a sob you tried to stifle.
"Good girl," Tommy drawled, his voice dripping with condescension. "You really are something special. Joel's lucky to have you."
The casual cruelty in his words cut deep. You wanted to scream, to lash out, but your body was too exhausted to move.
Tommy stretched, his demeanor completely relaxed, as if what just happened was the most natural thing in the world. “I’ll be back for more, sweetheart. ," he said, standing up and looking down at you with a twisted sense of satisfaction.
The weight of his words pressed down on you, suffocating.
Tommy paused at the doorway, glancing back one last time. "Clean yourself up before Joel gets back. Wouldn't want him to see you like this, would we?"
A new wave of fear washed over you. What if Joel came home and saw you like this? What if he blamed you for what happened?
With that, he was gone, leaving you alone in the oppressive silence. You forced yourself to sit up.
You stumbled to the bathroom, desperate to wash away the filth and the shame. The reflection in the mirror was almost unrecognizable, eyes red and swollen, face streaked with tears. You scrubbed your skin until it was raw, the hot water doing little to soothe the burning inside. When you were done you went straight back to the kitchen a kept preparing dinner as if nothing had happened.

“On your knees….please. Yes, like that. Mmmmph. Thank you.”
Vessel can’t help but still be polite. He can’t believe his eyes. Nor the feeling of the night air on his hard cock. He’s floating above himself and watching himself get jerked off outside at a house party. It’s not enough that he feels the spit on your palm. That could be his hand and this is just an elaborate fantasy. One of many.
But it would be the first about you. You were untouchable. You’re just a friend…just a friend…just a friend…only a friend.
“Can I use my mouth?”
Holy fuck. This is real life.
In his fantasies, no one asks. Vessel doesn’t dream about giving consent. He dreams of being craved. Taken. Always willing. His breath catches.
“Hey, it’s ok,” you whisper, “we don’t have to anyth-“
“Do anything to me. Please.”
His head falls back with a soft thud against the house. Getting head was always fun but this felt therapeutic. You had, of course, asked Ves why he seemed down. You always asked him those kinds of things. “Someone who cares asks those things,” he’d told himself, “but someone who loves you does something about it.” Now you’re on your knees in the dirt sucking him off. How did this even happen?
𓍯𓂃earlier...
Vessel slumped in the couch and mindlessly dragged his fingers on his thigh. He had made his rounds and said “hi” to the people he wanted to talk to and smiled awkwardly at the people he sought to avoid or didn’t know. He deserved a little sit down after that. The past few months had put him in a rut. There was always a post-tour slump but this one hit different. Vessel felt down. Down because he had writer’s block. Down because it had been gloomy this week and the week before and before that etc etc. Down because his bed was cold. Thinking back on the hook-ups during tour already got boring. The old encounters going stale. Does he hook up again with someone randomly against his better judgement or does he deal with it?
On more than one occasion, Vessel had been accused of being naive when it came to love, to which he responded, “I’m just being cautious.” Where some might be naive about love and affection and throw themselves at the first person who did the bare minimum, Vessel was naive in that he just figured people were being nice or he just got lucky. Otherwise, people didn’t really want to mess with being in a relationship with a musician. They’re broody. They’re too busy. They’re married to their work. They’re full of themselves. Vessel internalized those things. Sure he was broody to begin with, but that was his brand. But everything else, sure, he could be married to his work and keep himself busy. “Just earth sign things!” Easy as that. And maybe one day someone else’s indifference towards commitment would rub off on him. His rumination is interrupted when the couch sinks a bit beside him and he feels a soft punch on his arm.
“What does it mean when I don’t get ‘hi’ or your awkward smile, hm?”
His heart warms up a bit. It’s you. You teeter somewhere between “friend” and “good friend.” It’s always nice to see you but you leave it at that. You see each other when you see each other. He shrugs and looks over at you. “Didn’t see you. Bet you were hiding or something.”
“Tsk. Fine. Maybe I was. We know too much about each other’s awkward little quirks,” you sigh. “Doesn’t mean I didn’t want to see you, though. How you been?”
Vessel laughs to himself, thinking of the miserable spiral you interrupted. “Imagine how much more awkward this could get if I told you the truth.” But you don’t laugh at his little self-deprecation. That makes him nervous. His insides churn. You’re just watching him, waiting to hear what he has to say. Why do you do that? So many people ask “how are you” because it’s polite…why do you care so much? “Look.” Vessel finally speaks again and flattens his hair. “I’m not great.”
You shift and exhale softly. “Yeah. Me neither.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
He can see it in your eyes. You’re not trying to have some misery-loves-company-circlejerk. You have that same mask” on as him. “Hate to hear that.” For a second Vessel feels something stir within him. Your tone is unenthusiastic but he knows it has nothing to do with him. He’s just glad to bond with someone, even if it’s over something lame like depression or whatever is eating at you both. “What’s the matter?”
“Oh just…general bullshit.” You shrug but Vessel knows whatever it is, you can’t just shrug it off. “Like if I’m so stuck, maybe this is where I’m meant to be. Even if it hurts.”
He makes an “o” shape with his mouth and is lost in thought. He has certainly felt that way before, but hearing you say it about yourself is heretical. He hates that you think that way. “No.”
“Oh. Well…alright. Thanks Ves, you healed me.” You chuckle dryly. He rolls his eyes and pats your leg. “So what’s got you down? For real.”
Vessel’s smile fades. “I feel…stuck as well. Just…going through the motions.” He scratches the back of his neck. “All the excitement of the last couple of months just…ripped from me. Gets hard to keep up with my emotions when I’m…frankly…bored. Bored of feeling this way. My own company.”
“I get that. Like you have to have things changing or moving all the time.”
“Exactly. Like some kind of jump that isn’t a substance or…whatever.”
“Hah…yeah… sometimes I just feel like…” you begin but pause.
“Like what?” Why are you blushing like that, he wonders idly. And why is it suddenly the cutest thing he’s ever seen?
“Uhm. I feel like…I need to get laid. That would fix me, right? Huge load of emotions and hormones released with someone you like…what could be better?”
“Oh is it that simple?” Vessel laughs. A genuine, warm laugh. You’re so silly, he just loves talking to you. And he loves how you laugh with him. He was scared for a second that you might take it personally, but he’s glad to see that you too have a sick sense of humor when you’re feeling unwell.
“Maybe it is. Guess…we won’t know until…” you trail off.
“Until we try…” Vessel’s throat goes dry. He tries to swallow hard before nonchalantly scoping out how many people were on the patio.
𓍯𓂃
Vessel always had to make things happen, and he was fucking exhausted from it. Now you were happening to him. You clued in on what he wanted when he suggested you both get some fresh air. Hell, you were the one who found the perfect spot for this tryst.
“Y-you like doing that?” he whimpers. He can’t make out much of your features but he feels you nod and smile and…fuck, take him deeper in your mouth. He’s holding his breath. He knows he shouldn’t but if he doesn’t exert some kind of control over himself he’ll lose it. But when you grab his waist and start literally fucking your face with his cock he has to let go. He grips your hair, willing himself to resist overpowering you and thrusting harder against your movements. “Ffffff-fffuck.” He whimpers softly and bites at his lip… wishing you had kissed him before you got started so he could imagine it again while you savored every inch of him. His entire body shivers when you moan against his cock, making him realize you like the sound of his whimpers. His pathetic little pleas and moans.
“‘That feel good, Ves?” You whisper, stroking his cock as you catch your breath? “Hmm?”
He nods and whines, trying to not be loud. Thank god it was dark, otherwise you would have seen the tears threatening to spill. The way he bit his hand to keep from moaning out loud. What if you two got caught? What if another friend heard what you pulled from him? “Fuck…you’re gonna make me cum…”
“That’s a good boy.” Vessel feels his stomach drop as you start sucking him off again but with more enthusiasm. Like you need him to cum. And he does. But you don’t move…you keep your mouth on him. And he might be the one cumming down your throat but he’s not claiming you. No.
You.
Own.
Him.
Somehow, and much to his delight, Vessel does not lose sleep over the ordeal or his new-found, all-consuming feelings for you. In fact, he’s never slept better. Sleeping once meant loud, restless dreams; now it means a nestling in and wondering about you before dozing off…imagining he’s holding you. He keeps telling himself it’s infatuation. It’ll go away. He’s just starstruck from the way you took care of him. But then…the ruminating started…
Each morning, Vessel wondered about you. Maybe today you’ll share something on Instagram that he can make a little comment on. Send a react. Yes, sure, you’re friends, but you’re not “close.” When he looked into your soft, sweet eyes the other night he wondered how a darling little thing like you learned to give head like that. Suddenly your life story became his Roman Empire. Were you a natural? Did someone give you gentle pointers the first few times? Or did you have to do it a lot to get good? Did you have to go jumping from man to man to find the love you so desperately craved? This made Vessel’s blood run cold. The thought of sweet, wonderful you merely being an option to other men. A small voice told Vessel that perhaps he himself was just an option. Maybe you did stuff like this a lot. One among many. Vessel chided this voice. Locked it in a dark little room with no ventilation. You were good. You wouldn’t use anyone. In fact, you probably did learn this from practice because who wouldn’t love you?
Vessel knows he’s being stupid. You two like each other but he won’t reach out. Then again, you don’t reach out either. That’s ok. He had no coherent plan of moving things forward. He was also terrified the spark you two shared would be gone if you tried hanging out again. What if you couldn’t handle his schedule? Or didn’t find it endearing when his moods never let up? What if that stupid voice was right? Most of the time, he resigned himself back to “I’ll see her when I see her,” and a cheeky wank to take the edge off. But that always left him feeling guilty. Empty.
This particular morning he had been deep in thought about what your favorite position might be and how many times he could make you cum just from fucking you at a torturous pace that way. Today’s position of choice was doggy, but bent over his desk, on top of his notes from recording and writing sessions. That was what you deserved. You drove him to absolutely hopeless distraction…you should be bent over while he stands behind you, fingers melting into your flesh, holding you in place. He swears this will be the last time he jerks off thinking about you…but because of that he can’t help but edge himself. Thinking about you is easy. Not because you yourself are easy…but because Vessel realizes how naturally desirable you are. Seeing the way you took control and took care of him opened his mind to this entirely new world of fantasies. The heat blooming from his groin to his tummy made him stop for the third time. Yes, in this fantasy you were bent over for him…but there was more to it. You were doing him a favor. Good boys got to take breaks. Good boys stuck in a rut need to empty their brains and fill up their girlfriends. FUCK he wanted you to be his girlfriend so bad. And that thought scared him…as does the sound of his phone buzzing a few times. His train of thought vanishes along with his hard-on. Cursing whoever who messaging him this early, he grabs his phone but then makes the most embarrassing noise known to man.
You: hey isn’t this a band you like?
the second message is the link to an instagram post
You: they’re doing a last minute show next weekend
And sure enough, one of his favorite niche prog metal bands was playing in place of someone else at a local venue on Saturday. And tickets were dead cheap. Another message.
You: if I knew anything about metal I’d go with you. Not sure how much fun I’d be
Sirens! Flashing lights! All the bells and whistles going off in Vessel’s brain are firing. His inner little voices of reason (and everything in between) begin a debate.
“She’s flirting!” “Obviously, she’s flirting she sucked your dick.” “Can’t be that deep mate, she’s just now talking to you after a month.” “Sure it is, it is has to be flirting! She’s practically begging for you to invite her!”
Vessel: lol I could send you a playlist :)
“Mate, come on, what are you doing?” “Invite her over to hear the playlist. That’ll will be cute” “and then fuck her. Fuck her like the sl—“
Vessel rolls over and screams in his pillow. He will not have a meltdown over this.
Vessel: or we could throw you in feet first? Come with me?
… … …
Those infernal fucking “typing” bubbles are killing him. 3 minutes of that. Then no response. Vessel isn’t sure what he did wrong or if he did do anything wrong. He tries to go about his day but there’s still that nagging suspicion that he did too much. But when he least expects it…
You: sorry this is so last minute. are you busy tonight?
Vessel: no, I’m not. Why?
He bites his lip as he waits to see what you’re planning. He wonders if you want to talk about what happened…or maybe do it again…or maybe act like nothing happened.
You: I just don’t want to be alone tonight. Vessel: I don’t want to be either.
It’s set then. He’ll go to your place…maybe have some drinks…maybe get a chance to thank you for the fun. He wanted to taste you. To make you cum like he did for you. Too many nights he spent wondering what you’re into. He had cast you in his mind as a soft domme, probably just because that’s what tickled his fancy at the time. But you had this caring…almost nurturing sense about you that night. You touched him like he was precious…like he would break if you didn’t take your time. He wanted to show you he was tougher than that. He could take it. The mere thought of even getting a chance to kiss you and make you feel even a fraction of the pleasure you gave him made his cock twitch. The time between now and when he was reunited with you would be torture.
But when he gets to your place, he doesn’t feel confident enough to act smooth or even touch you. If anything, he wanted to touch your hair. Literally just brush back the strands you missed when you tucked it behind your ear. Finally he musters the courage to stand beside you as you’re getting him some water. You’ve sucked his dick, the least he can do is move your hair. He moves in for the kill…but perhaps a bit too fast, because just as his hand reaches your personal space, you turn your head to look up at him and... receive a cheek full of Vessel knuckles.
He moves quickly to cup your face, desperate to show you he didn’t mean to whack you, but he’s greeted with a surprised chuckle and your smile. Not that one you put on for friends or staged photos…your real smile. He could die happy right now. Just absolutely melt. If he ever wanted to write true, honest to god love ballads he would think back to this moment. This gooey, gushy feeling. He feels confident, the same confidence the mask gives him, and presses a soft kiss where he accidentally got you.
“Ves…”
You still smile but he sees something behind your eyes. Vessel keeps his hands on your face…his heart breaking and stomach dropping. He had noticed you weren’t posting regularly on your socials and even then you seemed a bit less animated. He’s learned your tells. There’s smudges from yesterday’s eyeliner that somehow looks effortless but still betrays the fact that you didn’t wash your face last night. In his mind, Vessel likened you to a shrinking violet. The kindest, most gorgeous girl who ever graced him with her presence trying to hide herself away. This wouldn’t do. Even though he didn’t feel like he had the emotional energy for himself…he desperately wanted to be here for you. After the past four weeks of falling down a rabbit hole imagining you as a soft, caring, dominant partner, he suddenly felt needed. He wanted to provide so bad it hurt.
“What’s the matter, love?”
“I…” your voice cracks and you shake your head. He backs off a bit, letting you have some space. “It’s been a rough few weeks. I’ve…missed you and felt like…a fucking idiot the whole time.”
Vessel nods and takes a drink of his water. “Yeah. Getting laid didn’t fix us, did it?”
You laugh ruefully and cross your arms. “It’s made me worse. How about you?”
“You first.”
You roll your eyes and stretch your neck. Vessel nearly loses his mind at how you bite your lip as you look him up and down. This is what he wants. To be under your gaze. Please. Keep him there. His breath catches. You could tell him to leave right now and he would. But instead, you keep talking.
“To be completely honest with you, I didn’t think there was anything between us other than like…being friends. So I don’t know what came over me when I just…literally threw myself at you. I shouldn’t have done that. That’s…stupid reckless behavior.” You wring your hands a little and look down. “How can I expect to be taken seriously if I just—“
Vessel puts his hand up. “Stop that.”
“But I’m serious, Vess-“
“I said…’stop that.’ I take you seriously. I’ve always taken you seriously.” Vessel considers you for a moment. While he’d love to take you to bed, he’s desperate to lift you up. To reassure you. “Love, if you think you shouldn’t be taken seriously, imagine how I feel. You could have written me off as a jerk for letting you—“ but Vessel stops himself before he waxes poetic about your blowjob skills and ruins the moment. “I didn’t even follow you after we were done. Call you. Message you directly. After everything…I shouldn’t even have the chance to be with you.”
You shake your head and look down. “I know you’re not after one thing…I know it. But…why can’t I believe it? It’s nothing personal, I swear I just-“
Something deep within propels Vessel to pull you in for a gentle kiss…and to his utter delight you melt right into his touch. You fit so ridiculously perfect in his arms and mesh so well against his lips. He lets out a soft moan right as you break the kiss. Vessel had already been taken with you, but now he was enchanted. “Give me a month. I’ll show you how serious I am about you. It’s not just the sex…I promise.”
Your breath is ragged…you’re overcome with emotion and desire. You nod up at him. “All the time you need…”
“Good girl…” Vessel cocks his head, amused that he just called you that. He meant it in an encouraging way but…if the shoe fits. “Would you like that? To be my good girl?”
Your eyes get a bit dark, but not out of anything malicious. Your chin raises. “Ves…I would be anything you asked me to be. I don’t think you understand what you’ve done to me…” You pause but Vessel can’t even begin to formulate a thought. Were you as borderline obsessive as him? “You shouldn’t be on my mind the way you are. I mean…what are you doing to me? You’ve shown me so much kindness and your own vulnerability…that shouldn’t turn me on. It’s endearing and admirable, sure, but why do I…I just want to take care of you. I’m sorry I just…I feel guilty for…for falling for you because see me and you let me suck you off…I mean…how old are we?”
He’s taken aback a little. Something in your mind is tricking you. “Sweetheart,” he cups your cheek, “if it makes you feel any better, I feel the same. When I saw how down you looked a bit ago…” he shakes his head and sighs, “took everything in me to not start confessing everything just to see you smile. I want you. I want…everything that makes you ‘you.’ And I get the feeling you want the same…right?”
For a long second, you don’t say anything. You stare up at him, glassy eyed. He doesn’t need verbal confirmation. He’s passed that. He’s no longer timid about you. His lips meet yours in an agonizingly slow, tender kiss. Vessel’s hips press you against your kitchen counter, letting you feel his excitement. It wasn’t pure arousal. It was the excitement of being open and honest with each other. The emotional push and pull of comforting you but also receiving your reassurance did things to him. Oh fuck. Oh no. This was love, wasn’t it? Your hands pull at his hips, bringing one of his legs between yours. You moan softly, and he pulls from the kiss.
“Do you think about me at all?” He whispers breathlessly? You moan as his lips ghost your ear. The feeling of your thighs tightening around him makes his cock twitch. He wishes your thighs were around his hips…or even his face. You bite your lip and whine a little as your hips buck involuntarily.
“I think about fucking you on my couch everyday.”
Obviously the next stop is the couch. Vessel sits down and pulls you to straddle him. His kisses become more ravenous. Finallythe girl of his dreams is on him. He’d do anything for you right now, but he wants you a little vulnerable. You, of course, had been pining, too. What’s the harm in being pathetic together? He pulls off your shirt and nearly looses his mind when your soft flesh comes into view. Your precious tummy. Your squishy tits. Fuck. It was all his. “Get your pants off.”
You hop off his lap and do as your told. Vessel just watches and unzips his pants, adjusting them and his boxers to let his cock out. He bites his lip and strokes himself teasingly as he watches you pull off your leggings and panties. Drooling at the sight of your nude legs…the hint of your pussy. He beckons you forward seductively, a little taste of what’s to come once you’re in reach.
“How wet are you, love?” He asks, letting his fingers dip between your legs. You moan softly as his fingers trail up and down your slit, enjoying the wetness he’s caused. “I don’t even need to help you, do I? Excitable girl. Aren’t you?” All this gets from you is a nod. You’re so gone. He leans back on the couch and pulls you toward him. He’s still completely dressed in his henley and jeans, but you don’t seem to mind. He positions you on his cock and lets you set the pace. He doesn’t know how long it’s been since you’ve been fucked, but he knows to be kind and let you adjust to his size. His eyes roll back and his head thumps against the couch. Something about how your body takes his cock makes his insides melt. You run your fingers through your hair and arch your back as you lower yourself completely on him. “Don’t move…don’t move, love.” He adjusts slightly to bring your chest to his mouth. His soft kisses and kitten licks pepper your breasts, causing your pussy to clench. It feels amazing. He’s being so gentle, but on the inside he wants to ravage you. Even after getting off everyday for a month thinking about you, you still excite Vessel into a frenzy.
“Oh…oh Ves…” you gasp as he takes your nipple between his lips. You both moan as his cock twitches against your sensitive walls, but he keeps you still, cockwarming as he teases and makes out with your nipples. He shamelessly buries his face in your chest and moans, squeezing your ass to pull you close. Vessel can hardly believe it. You’re finally in his arms, his cock is stuffed inside you, and you want his love just as badly as he wants yours. He pulls his face away from your body to look up at you and whisper.
“You’re my girl now. You know that?” He puts his finger that had touched your pussy in his mouth and sucks, making sure you how see gone he is for you. “Gonna make you so happy…”
Vessel can hardly believe what’s coming out of his mouth, but pussy from someone who accepts you unconditionally will do that to you. He thought he was only built for fleeting infatuations and hooks up. But here he was…making promises he’d sooner die than break. After playfully torturing you with how his cock twitched inside you every time you kissed him or made a little sound, he starts to move your hips. You look positively angelic on his lap completely naked taking his cock. His eyes roll back and he realizes that whatever half baked fantasy he had about fucking you didn’t prepare him for how good you felt. How warm and safe he’d feel under the weight of your body. It’s almost too much. Not that he’d cum yet. No. He just wants to say stupid things like “I love you;” and “we should move in together;” and “please call me a good boy.” That little submissive voice was still in him. He knew you were responding well to him taking control but he wanted that gentle control from you again.
“Am…am I good for you?” He rasps out as you steadily grind against him.
“Mhm…so good…you…you like being good?”
Vessel’s eyes roll back and he nods pathetically. “Just for you.”
You bury your face in the nape of his neck and suck little pink love marks up and down it. He moans with each one, clenching your body impossibly close. “I can’t move when you hold me like that…” you say backing up a little. You take his wrists gently and pin them against the back of the couch. He licks his lips and smiles dreamily. “Oh you’re pathetic, aren’t you?” Your fingers intertwine and he lets out a contented sigh.
“So pathetic…”
“You like being good but you like getting in trouble, too, huh?”
Vessel’s brain is mush. He knows you’re lightly degrading him and he fucking loves it but he has no concept of what’s happening other than “yippee perfect girl is being perfect.” He just nods and lets you fuck him for all he’s worth, cumming when you wrap your dainty hand around his neck.
Later at what can only be described as a debrief at the pub, you share a large basket of fries. Vessel takes a deep breath as he attempts to act normal after having his mind blown and emotions pulled in all kinds of different directions. “This is good, yeah?”
“The fries?”
“For Christ’s sake…”
“Oh sorry, you mean…us…yeah. This is good. Really good. Are you scared?”
Vessel looks at the table and then at you. Honesty is his only option. “Terrified.”
“Same.”
He ponders for a moment and puts his hand palm up on the table. “Do it scared?”
You plop your hand down on his, “and together.”
“Now about this gig next week. I need to start your lectures on progressive metal-“
“Oh god.”

{teen nanami x teen reader fluff series!}
Last part - The confession that wasn't supposed to happen!
Previous part - the mission mishap
💌💌
You weren’t nosy.
Okay, maybe you were a little nosy. But in your defense, it wasn’t your fault that you overheard the conversation. You were just there. Existing. Standing in the hallway, minding your own business, when you heard Nanami’s voice.
And because your brain had decided that everything about him was worth paying attention to, you… paused. Just for a second.
"I don’t see the point in this."
You recognized the tone immediately Nanami’s classic, tired, I-hate-everything-about-this voice.
"You never see the point in anything fun," Haibara shot back. "I’m just saying, you could, y’know, talk to her."
Your stomach twisted. You had a very bad feeling about this.
"That would be unnecessary," Nanami said.
You frowned. What would be unnecessary?
"Unnecessary?" Haibara snorted. "You like her, dude. It’s so obvious it’s painful."
Your breath caught.
Wait. Wait.
There was a long, stretched silence. For a moment, you thought hoped Nanami might correct him. Might say something you could brush off, laugh about later, pretend it meant nothing.
But instead-
"I know," Nanami murmured.
And just like that, your heart flipped upside down.
Haibara made a choking sound. "Holy—you’re actually admitting it?!"
Nanami sighed. "It doesn’t change anything."
You couldn’t breathe.
"You’re so hopeless, man." Haibara groaned. "Why don’t you just tell her?"
There was another pause, and when Nanami spoke again, his voice was lower. Quieter.
"Because she thinks I hate her."
Your chest tightened.
Haibara scoffed. "Well, yeah. You’re kinda bad at what’s the word? human emotions."
"I’m aware," Nanami muttered.
"Then fix it," Haibara said, exasperated. "Before she actually moves on and you have to spend the rest of your life being an emotionally constipated sorcerer who let the love of his life slip away.(Not me roasting him)
Nanami exhaled sharply. "That’s dramatic."
"Not as dramatic as you."
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/245cb3f941ac04658f956bacee7f3015/2c014afa9e53f81f-c6/s540x810/2c7046680ad3c960711b7a83d792a1e8d95e0257.jpg)
You could barely focus anymore. Your brain was stuck on one thing one ridiculous, unbelievable thing.
Nanami liked you.
Not tolerated. Not put up with. Not found mildly acceptable.
He liked you.
The realization hit like a wrecking ball, knocking the air straight out of your lungs.
Which was exactly why your foot accidentally nudged the doorframe.
The voices inside went silent.
Crap.
"…Did you hear that?" Haibara asked.
Double crap.
You turned to flee, but before you could make your great escape, the door slid open and there stood Nanami, staring at you with a look that was somewhere between horrified and resigned.
Busted.
You opened your mouth, scrambling for an excuse, a joke, anything but Nanami just sighed, running a hand down his face.
"Of course," he muttered. "Of course you were standing there."
Haibara, meanwhile, was grinning like an idiot. "Well. This is awkward."
You swallowed hard, meeting Nanami’s gaze. "So… you don’t hate me?"
He sighed again. "No. I don’t."
"You-" You exhaled, something bubbling in your chest. "You like me?"
Nanami hesitated. Then, with all the reluctance in the world, he nodded. "Yes."
Silence.
Then—
"Finally!" Haibara threw his hands in the air. "I thought I was gonna have to force a confession out of you two!"
You barely heard him. Your heart was still racing, your hands curled into fists to stop them from shaking. "You absolute idiot," you breathed.
Nanami blinked. "Excuse me?"
"You let me think you hated me?" you demanded. "This whole time?"
Nanami looked away. "I didn’t know how to-"
"You-" You groaned, dragging a hand down your face. Then, without thinking, you grabbed his tie and yanked him forward.
And kissed him.
It was quick. Messy. Desperately overdue.
Nanami froze for half a secondbthen melted into it, his hands hovering before finally settling on your waist. His lips were warm, careful, uncertain as if he couldn’t believe this was happening.
When you finally pulled back, you stared at him, heart pounding. "Next time," you huffed, "just tell me."
Nanami exhaled, dazed. "Right."
Haibara whistled. "Holy crap. That was hot."
You and Nanami both turned to glare at him.
Haibara just grinned. "You’re welcome, by the way."
Nanami sighed. "Go away."
But despite the exasperation, despite everything there was a tiny, tiny smile ,playing at the corners of his lips.
And for the first time in forever, you realized Nanami Kento had never really been good at emotions.
But when it came to you, he was willing to try.
I know it was short but I wanted to make it simple, short and cute 😭
I'll make a longer series of Suguru geto SO COMMENT DOWN TO GET TAGGED!

The Maiden Of Death Part 3
Pairings: Wednesday x Female reader. Wordcount: 9K-ish
Part 1 -- Part 2-- Part 3
Summary: Wednesday finally gets a glimpse of your power.
Warnings: Wednesday starting to fall? JelousWednesday! Everyone loves Enid.
(Author's note: This is a very long chapter, and ALOT OF THINGS happens in this chapter, and also had to change some things here and there which is why it took me a lot of thinking and time writing, so any feedback will be helpful!)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d126da7f4583d724a9144f1eae279c48/25293f6deafa52d3-5f/s540x810/a2a55bb2c5ae2c32e90ae33e4cb7fcd7f024076e.jpg)
As Wednesday entered the quad during Lunch period, her gaze immediately fell on her usual table, where Enid was enthusiastically gesturing as she spoke to—you.
Eugene sat on one corner of the table, Enid said something particularly exuberant, causing you to stiffen visibly. Eugene, in turn, shot Enid a panicked look that screamed, Please stop talking before you get us all killed.
As Wednesday reached the table and took her seat across from you without a word, her gaze landing on Enid, who greeted her with a wide smile.
“Hey, Wednesday! Guess what?!” Enid began, her excitement practically vibrating off her.
“I would rather not,” Wednesday replied flatly.
Enid turned her attention back to you. “So, like I was saying, the Poe Cup is coming up, and I’ve been thinking—Last year we barely won but it’s time we totally crush Bianca’s team this year. And you, Y/N, would be perfect for—”
You didn’t bother looking up from your plate. “No.”
“You didn’t even let me finish!” Enid said, huffing dramatically but quickly recovering with a smile. “Okay, but seriously, you’d be perfect. We need someone like you—someone who can strategize and, you know, scare people."
“I don’t care.” Your tone was sharp enough to cut, but Enid either didn’t notice or chose to ignore it.
“Come on! You and Wednesday on the same team would be unstoppable! Seriously, we could destroy Bianca. She wouldn’t stand a chance!” Enid leaned closer to you, her smile widening as if sheer enthusiasm could wear down your resistance.
“Let me clarify,” you said, your focus still on your plate. “No. As in, absolutely not. As in, I’d rather eat broken glass than subject myself to whatever nonsense you have planned.”
Eugene shifted uncomfortably in his seat, darting a glance between you and Enid like he was bracing for an explosion.
“That was a bit harsh, But I promise you’re gonna love it once you try it!” Enid barreled on, her voice impossibly cheerful. “And imagine—Wednesday and Y/N! You’d wipe the floor with everyone.”
You set your utensils down with a quiet clink, turning to Enid with a gaze sharp enough to cut glass. “Do you ever stop to think before you speak?” you asked coldly, your tone a knife's edge. “Or is it your entire personality to be this relentlessly irritating?”
Enid blinked, her smile faltering for just a moment before she recovered. “Wow, okay, someone’s cranky. But I get it! You’re under a lot of pressure or whatever.”
“Pressure has nothing to do with it,” you replied, your tone colder still. “You’re insufferable. You don’t listen, you don’t think, and you certainly don’t understand the concept of personal boundaries. Take a hint: I’m not interested in whatever childish game you’re dragging me into.”
Enid’s bright demeanor faltered, her smile slowly dying... The table fell silent. Even Wednesday, who often found Enid’s enthusiasm grating, felt an unexpected pang at the harshness of your words.
But Enid didn’t retreat. Instead, she tilted her head as she unleashed her ultimate weapon.
The puppy eyes.
“Well,” Enid said after a beat, her voice quieter and sadder. “That’s a really mean thing to say. But I’m not giving up. Because deep down, I think you’re not as awful as you want people to think.”
You stared at her, unblinking, as though calculating the odds of her ever leaving you alone. Wednesday found herself watching the exchange with acute interest, her gaze flicking between you and Enid.
Wednesday stiffened. Even she wasn’t immune to Enid’s maddeningly effective weapon. She braced herself for your response, curious to see if you’d succumb.
You let out a tired sigh. “Fine,” you said at last, your voice heavy with exasperation. “I’ll join your team. Just stop talking so I can eat in peace.”
Enid let out an excited squeal and, before you could react, threw her arms around you in a side hug. You froze completely, your body going rigid as though you’d been petrified on the spot.
Wednesday felt something shift in her chest—a faint, unpleasant pang that she quickly dismissed as indigestion. Her fingers tightened around her fork as she watched Enid cling to you, her head resting against your shoulder...
You didn’t push her away, but your voice was low and measured as you began counting down. “Three… two…”
Enid immediately released you, sitting back with an apologetic smile. “Sorry, sorry! I just got excited. Thank you so much for agreeing, though! You won’t regret it, I promise!”
"I already do." You muttered, returning your attention to your plate with the same calm indifference you always exuded. But Wednesday caught the faintest flicker of something in your eyes—a weariness, perhaps, or a resignation you couldn’t quite mask.
Enid, oblivious as ever, turned her attention back to Wednesday. “Isn’t this great, Wens? With Y/N on our team, we’re totally going to win this year!”
Wednesday didn’t reply immediately. Instead, she studied you for a moment longer, her mind churning with thoughts she couldn’t fully articulate. Finally, she turned back to her own meal.
"We will see." She said, still feeling something unrecognizable. Whatever it was, she would not allow it to distract her. Not now, not tonight. Behind the greenhouse. After the sun falls. You had given her a directive, and she intended to follow it, not out of curiosity, of course, but because she refused to let you maintain the upper hand.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d126da7f4583d724a9144f1eae279c48/25293f6deafa52d3-5f/s540x810/a2a55bb2c5ae2c32e90ae33e4cb7fcd7f024076e.jpg)
After the rest of the classes ended, Wednesday found herself in a disconcerting state of reflection. The day's events gnawed at her, though she maintained her usual stoic demeanor. Your words echoed in her mind, sharp and cutting, like the blade you so clearly wielded with mastery.
"You’re not worth wasting my time."
Though she would never admit it aloud, those words struck her. A part of her dismissed them—what could you possibly know of her worth? But another part, the one she rarely let surface, couldn’t help but dwell on the sting.
Wednesday Addams had faced monsters, both literal and metaphorical, yet here she was, feeling... unsettled. Not afraid. No, Wednesday Addams was never afraid. But the thought of meeting you, alone, made her feel something she couldn't entirely recognize.
She briefly considered informing Enid of her impending meeting with you. Not out of fear, of course. Fear was an emotion beneath her. It was a matter of logic, of ensuring someone knew her whereabouts. But as soon as the idea formed, she discarded it. No, involving Enid would complicate matters, and the thought of explaining herself to her overenthusiastic roommate was unbearable.
Instead, she opted for a more discreet confidant.
“You’re to keep an eye on the time,” she instructed Thing, her voice even but firm. “If I’m not back by ten, assume the worst.”
Thing’s fingers scrambled into a questioning gesture.
“Do not be ridiculous,” she snapped, rolling her eyes. “I am not afraid. Merely cautious.”
Thing’s tapping turned into a sarcastic drumroll, but Wednesday ignored him, brushing past to retrieve her coat.
The path to the greenhouse was empty, obviously no one would be out here at this time.
As she rounded the corner, she spotted you immediately. You were seated on the ground, your back against the glass wall of the greenhouse. A katana rested beside you, the blade gleaming faintly in the dimming light.
Did you summon it? Wednesday wondered.
You looked up as she approached, your gaze steady and unreadable. “You’re on time.”
Wednesday ignored the comment, her eyes flicking to the katana. “Are you finally going to show me?”
"Katana techniques aren’t something you can master by watching. It requires precision and patience, I know you fought some old wizard, but I highly doubt that would be enough."
Wednesday’s expression hardened. "That 'old wizard' was Crackstone."
“And?” Your tone was flat, unimpressed, as if the name meant nothing.
Wednesday rolled her eyes. “Fine. We’ll do it your way. What do I need to do first?”
You reached down and picked up the katana beside you, holding it out for her. Wednesday accepted the sword with both hands, one curling around the scabber and the other around the handle. It was heavier than she expected—not unmanageable, but noticeable. Still, she adjusted quickly, refusing to let any hesitation show.
She stood, focusing on the sword, attempting to summon a vision. She hoped for even a glimpse of your history, your purpose, your motives. Nothing. The blade remained silent in her hands, its secrets as tightly guarded as yours.
Her reverie was broken by your voice. “Do you know how to unsheathe it without losing your fingers?”
Wednesday met your gaze, her tone sharp. “Of course. Just because I haven’t fought with a katana doesn’t mean I’m ignorant of its basics.” She demonstrated, flawlessly unsheathing the sword with a precise motion.
For a moment, she paused, her gaze lingering on the blade. Its sharp edge felt almost hypnotic.
“Now sheathe it again,” you instructed.
Wednesday hesitated, the command catching her off guard. “I just took it out,” she muttered annoyed.
Still, she attempted to comply, but the process proved unexpectedly awkward. She struggled to align the blade with the scabbard, her movements uncharacteristically clumsy. She half-expected you to smirk or make a biting comment, but your expression remained impassive, devoid of mockery.
Instead, you conjured your own katana, the same one she had seen in the Nightshade Library, and unsheathed it with effortless grace. “Watch,” you said simply. With practiced ease, you demonstrated the technique for resheathing the sword, pushing the scabbard forward while maintaining balance.
Wednesday observed intently, her sharp mind immediately grasping the mechanics. “I see,” she murmured, attempting the motion again. This time, her execution was far smoother, and the blade slid into place with satisfying precision.
“Good,” you said, your voice still emotionless.
From there, the lesson progressed. You guided her through a series of foundational techniques, demonstrating precise footwork and the fluidity required to wield the katana effectively. Your movements were deliberate, almost mesmerizing in their precision, and Wednesday found herself silently admiring your mastery. She didn’t smile. She didn’t laugh. But she felt something.... something she felt while grave digging... is this what Enid called... "fun"?
Still, she kept her expression neutral, unwilling to give you the satisfaction of knowing she was... pleased by this... would you even care if you knew?
By the end, her muscles ached pleasantly, but her mind was sharper than ever. She sheathed the katana with practiced ease, turning to you as you prepared to leave.
“Here,” she said, holding out the weapon.
You took it, and as soon as it was in your hands, both katanas vanished into thin air. Wednesday’s eyes narrowed slightly, but she said nothing.
As you turned to leave without any , she felt a sudden, inexplicable pang of dissatisfaction. This wasn’t enough. Before she could stop herself, she blurted out, “Wait.”
You paused, glancing back over your shoulder. “What is it?”
She struggled for a moment, the words eluding her. Finally, she asked, “Why did you agree to show me these techniques?”
You didn’t answer immediately. Instead, you looked at her with that same unreadable expression. “Goodnight, Wednesday,” you said, your voice softer than she expected.
You turned and walked away, leaving her standing there, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts. It wasn’t until you had disappeared into the shadows that she realized something—this was the first time you had used her name. And for reasons she couldn’t fully explain, it mattered.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d126da7f4583d724a9144f1eae279c48/25293f6deafa52d3-5f/s540x810/a2a55bb2c5ae2c32e90ae33e4cb7fcd7f024076e.jpg)
As Wednesday pushed open the door to her shared dorm, her eyes went to Enid sprawled across her bed as she animatedly whispered to Thing, who was perched on her pillow like her sidekick.
As she stepped further into the room, she felt Enid’s gaze snap to her. It tracked her every step, as though waiting for some kind of confirmation.
“What?” Wednesday snapped, her tone as sharp as a blade.
Enid sat up, crossing her legs and hugging a pillow to her chest, a smug little smile spreading across her face. “Nothing,” she replied, her tone far too innocent to be genuine. “Absolutely nothing.”
Wednesday narrowed her eyes, peeling off her coat and hanging it neatly on its hook. “You’re staring at me."
Enid gasped, her hand flying to her chest in mock offense. “Staring? Me? No! I’m just... thinking."
"Thinking what, exactly?”
“Oh, I don’t know,” Enid drawled, leaning forward with a grin that only grew wider with each passing second. “Maybe observing how you’ve been spending an unusual amount of time with a certain someone lately?”
Wednesday stiffened, her fingers pausing mid-motion as she adjusted the lace cuffs of her shirt. “I have no idea what you’re babbling about.”
“Sure you don’t,” Enid said with a giggle, hugging the pillow tighter.
“Choose your next words carefully, Enid.”
“What were you doing with Y/N?” Enid sat up straighter, her eyes practically sparkling with curiosity.
Wednesday’s brow twitched. “That is none of your concern.”
“See, now you’re making it sound suspicious,” Enid teased, her grin widening. “Were you two, like, out in the woods doing something spooky? Summoning ghosts? Practicing dark magic? Or was it something more... romantic?”
Wednesday’s glare deepened. “Romantic?” she repeated, “Do you genuinely believe I would waste my time on such frivolity?”
“Well, I mean,” Enid said, tapping her chin thoughtfully, “you do waste your time digging up graves"
Wednesday ignored her as she walked out to the balcony. She needed air. She needed quiet. She needed to expel whatever it was that Enid’s incessant prattling had stirred within her.
The cello waited in its usual spot.
Without hesitation, Wednesday settled into her chair, the bow fitting naturally into her hand. She began to play.
The bartender wiped down the counter with practiced ease. His face was friendly, his demeanor warm as he smiled at the hooded girl sitting before him.
“Yeah, I get it,” he said, his tone easy and warm. “Sometimes we need some alone time away from family.”
The customer remained silent, her head tilted downward.
As Wednesday’s fingers danced over the cello strings, her mind drifted. She hadn’t meant to think of you, but it was impossible not to. The memory of your eyes, a depth that hid so much.
Why did you haunt her so? There was a quiet pain in your gaze, a barrier that dared anyone to come closer. What had happened to you? What had made you so guarded, so indifferent to the world?
The bartender smiled as he wiped a glass, his voice light. “You know, I love my family too. Even when they drive me insane.” He chuckled, setting the glass down. “Wouldn’t trade them for the world.”
Wednesday’s music swelled again, the melody turning wistful. How could she know more about you? Was it even possible?
The bartender glanced around the empty bar, shrugging. “It’s pretty quiet here this time of night. Honestly, I feel more like I’m on guard duty than actually working. Not that I’m complaining—it’s nice to have a slow shift every now and then.”
Wednesday’s bow trembled slightly, though her playing remained flawless. Her thoughts shifted, unwillingly, to you again. She couldn’t shake the questions that gnawed at her. Your precision, your coldness, the way you had spoken to her and yet spared her just enough... that made her understand, there was more to you than you allowed anyone to see.
The bartender leaned closer, his elbows on the counter. “Yeah, no, I get it totally. We all make mistakes. We’re human at the end of the day.”
The customer let out a low chuckle that seemed to echo unnaturally in the small space. It sent an involuntary shiver down the bartender’s spine.
“Are you?” the customer asked, her voice smooth yet chilling.
The bartender blinked, caught off guard. “What?”
The customer slid a card across the counter. His breath hitched the moment his eyes landed on it.
“Are you human?” she repeated, her tone dangerously calm.
As the final note hung in the air, fading into the night, she exhaled slowly, setting the bow down with measured care. The music hadn’t helped as much as she’d hoped. The unease was still there, coiled in her chest, lingering like a shadow that refused to leave.
Still, one thing was clear. Whatever this was, whatever you were, it wasn’t over.
Finally, she set the cello aside, her movements slower than usual, weighed down by an exhaustion she couldn’t name.

When sleep finally claimed her, it brought something.
Fire. It was everywhere.
And Wednesday was standing right where she fought Crackstone last year.
Enid’s scream, filled with desperation. “Y/N, no!”
The flames seemed to dance around you, as if you were their master rather than their victim. For a moment, you turned your gaze toward her, your eyes, darker... souless.. and then you nodded at Wednesday... as if.. thanking her.
"I know what I have to do now." you said.
The scene shattered like glass, and Wednesday jolted awake, her chest heaving as she sat up in bed. The room was still dark, the faint light of dawn just beginning to creep through the window.
Her fingers curled into the sheets as she struggled to steady her breathing. Dreams were not foreign to her, but this... this was different. It had felt too vivid, too real.
Was it a vision? No. Her visions came with a sharp, distinct pain, an undeniable clarity that marked them as something more than mere dreams. But this... it was murky, fragmented, like a puzzle with too many missing pieces.
She exhaled quietly, watching as the darkness outside softened with the rising sun. What were you? That question gnawed at her, more relentless than any puzzle she’d faced before. You didn’t fit neatly into any category of person she’d encountered. Why did her mind seem so determined to orbit around you?
Wednesday despised the thought of being consumed by anyone or anything, yet here she was, watching the sun rise while her thoughts were plagued by you.
She rose from her bed without making a sound and slipped into her black uniform.
Enid stirred in her bed, her sleepy form stretching lazily beneath her colorful blankets.
“Morning, Wends,” she mumbled.
Wednesday grabbed her coat and headed for the door without sparing her roommate a glance. The door clicked shut behind her before Enid could say anything more.
By the time she reached the quad, the space was still empty. Most students were still tucked away in their dorms, waiting for the breakfast bell to draw them out.
But her eyes found you.
You were sitting beneath a large tree at the far end of the quad, your back against the trunk, your eyes were closed, your features relaxed in a way she had never seen before. You seemed... at peace? It was unsettling to see you like this, so different from the guarded, vigilant person she’d encountered before. This version of you felt unfamiliar, almost vulnerable.
For a moment, she hesitated, her boots rooted to the ground as she watched you from afar. Why was she hesitating? Wednesday Addams didn’t hesitate. She was decisive, certain, unflinching. Yet here she was, caught in some inexplicable limbo. It infuriated her.
Finally, she forced herself to step forward. Each step felt heavier than it should, as though an invisible force was pulling her back. By the time she was only a few steps away from you, your eyes opened.
You looked directly at her.
Wednesday froze. The intensity of your gaze was unsettling, not because it was intimidating, but because it was so direct, so unflinching. For a moment, neither of you spoke, the silence stretching taut between you.
“Why are you here?” you asked, your voice low and even.
Wednesday blinked, her composure snapping back into place like a well-worn mask. “I could ask you the same question.”
You regarded her for a moment, then shifted slightly against the tree. “Resting,” you said simply. “Breakfast isn’t ready yet.”
Wednesday tilted her head. “And I suppose you decided that lying on cold earth was preferable to staying in your dorm?”
You shrugged. “It’s quiet.”
Wednesday didn’t have a retort for that. She understood the value of silence more than anyone.
You studied her now, and she hated the way it made her feel. Like you were seeing something she hadn’t meant to show. “You don’t seem like the morning exercise type,” you finally said.
“I woke up early,” was all Wednesday offered.
You didn’t question it. You didn’t push. You didn’t even invite her to sit, which was something she had somehow expected.
She frowned at herself. Why did she expect that? You weren’t the kind of person who invited anyone to sit beside you, and Wednesday certainly wasn’t someone you would extend such an offer to. She wasn’t special in your eyes, nor should she be.
The realization irritated her more than it should have.
The silence between you stretched, not awkward but Wednesday won't call it comfortable either. “Do you want to spar today?” she asked.
You blinked at her, then nodded.
She almost wished you had asked why. Maybe then she could figure out the answer herself.
Her mind drifted back to the dream. You had always been dark, just like her. But in the dream, it was different. You were worse. Your eyes weren’t yours.
She exhaled, not realizing she had until the sound broke the quiet.
You noticed immediately, your brow furrowing as you turned back to her.
“Something on your mind?” you asked, your tone cautious.
Wednesday straightened, her mind scrambling for a response. She couldn’t tell you about the dream, not yet. She needed more time to understand it herself. Instead, she blurted out the first thing that came to mind.
“Poe Cup.”
You frowned, tilting your head slightly. “What about it?”
“Since you and I are on the same team, I thought you should know more about it,” she said, her tone matter-of-fact.
You raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. “It’s a simple boat race that lacks bound rules to keep the students from harming each other. That’s all I need to know. Works fine for me.”
Wednesday smirked, a small, fleeting expression that you might have missed if you hadn’t been paying attention. You had no idea about the costumes. The mandatory, humiliating black cat ensemble that had tortured her the first time she’d participated. It was only fair that you endured the same indignity. She decided then and there not to tell you about it. Let it be a surprise.
The quad was beginning to fill now, “You should join me for breakfast.”
You raised a brow at her.
She added, “Enid will drag you there anyway. It will save you the effort.”
You rolled your eyes but didn’t argue, following her as the two of you made your way toward the dining hall.
And Wednesday, for reasons she refused to name, felt a little more at ease.
Wednesday had expected you to leave.
As she sat on the bench, you settled across from her, your posture as composed as ever, shoulders relaxed but gaze sharp, always aware. She observed you from the corner of her eye, waiting for that moment where you'd inevitably get up, bored of the company. But you didn’t move.
You stayed.
That was new.
"Oh my god!" Enid's half yell pulled Wednesday from her thoughts.
“You’re sitting here willingly,” Enid launched herself to the seat beside you, grinning wide as she nudged your arm. “By yourself. No threats, no bribery, no blackmail—at least, I don’t think Wednesday blackmailed you. That’s progress, right?”
You merely hummed, not confirming nor denying anything.
Enid let out a dramatic gasp. “That was almost a response. Oh, we are making so much progress.”
Wednesday rolled her eyes. “Must you be so insufferable this early in every morning?”
“Oh, absolutely,” Enid shot back, flashing her a grin before turning her attention back to you. “You should sit with us more often. Now that we are a team!"
Before you could respond—not that you looked like you were going to—another voice cut in.
Bianca.
“So this is where the brooding duo gathers now?” she said, arching an eyebrow.
Enid turned to her, smirking. “Oh, come on, B. You’re just mad because Y/N’s on my team. You’re so screwed.”
Wednesday caught the way Bianca’s eyes narrowed, assessing. You, however, didn’t even acknowledge her. Not a glance. Not a shift in posture. Nothing. Bianca didn’t seem sure whether to be annoyed or impressed.
“Huh,” she muttered, tilting her head. “Guess it’ll be fun to have a challenge for once.”
Wednesday smirked, her voice dry as she leaned forward just slightly. “And lose badly again?”
Bianca shot her a glare, but before she could retort, another voice joined the conversation.
Xavier.
“Uh… morning,” Xavier said, rubbing the back of his neck. His gaze flickered to you, but you still didn’t acknowledge him. He swallowed. “Mind if I join?”
“You’re asking that after joining in without permission,” Wednesday said flatly.
Xavier hesitated, then sat beside Bianca, opposite Enid. He looked like he wanted to say something to you but wisely decided against it.
Understandable. He was still shaken after whatever had happened during his last encounter with you.
Then came Eugene, who looked like he regretted his decision the moment he saw how crowded it had become—especially when his eyes landed on you.
He hesitated, clearly debating whether he should turn back. He probably would have, had Enid not noticed him first.
“Eugene!” she called out, “Come sit!”
“Shit,” he muttered under his breath before reluctantly shuffling over.
And to make matters worse—for him, at least—the only available seat was right beside Wednesday. Which, unfortunately, placed him directly across from you. He slid into the empty spot, making sure to position himself as far from you as possible.
Trying to lighten the mood, Xavier leaned forward, his attention shifting to you.
“So, Y/N,” he started, flashing a small grin. “We barely know anything about you. What’s your deal? Hobbies? Interests? Are you into art? Music?”
You said nothing.
Xavier tried again. “Come on, there’s gotta be something that gets you to loosen up a little.”
Silence.
Wednesday saw it then—the faintest flicker of amusement in your eyes, but it was at Xavier’s expense. You weren’t entertained by his charm. You were entertained by his failure.
Enid snickered. “Damn, Xavier, she hates you.”
Xavier groaned, throwing his hands up. “I’m just trying to be friendly.”
“More like failing to be friendly.” Bianca corrected, smirking.
Wednesday scowled. She didn’t like this. The way Xavier was blatantly trying to get your attention, the way he was—pathetically—trying to get a reaction out of you. And she especially didn’t like that, for a second, you looked... entertained.
Before she could dwell on it further, Yoko arrived, sliding onto the bench with her usual laid-back energy. “Wow,” she remarked, surveying the table. “This is a weird mix of people.”
Wednesday half expected you to get up and leave, to remove yourself from the growing number of people surrounding you. But you didn’t.
You remained where you were, though your shoulders tensed slightly, and there was a subtle shift in your expression. You weren’t uncomfortable. You weren’t guarded.
But here, among all these people, you seemed slightly irritated, but human.
And for some reason, that made her feel something she couldn’t quite place
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d126da7f4583d724a9144f1eae279c48/25293f6deafa52d3-5f/s540x810/a2a55bb2c5ae2c32e90ae33e4cb7fcd7f024076e.jpg)
Wednesday felt it all, the way she always seemed to end up beside you—walking through the halls, settling into her seat during class.
She told herself it was nothing. A strategic choice, you were an anomaly, and she was merely studying you, trying to make sense of that dream, trying to make sense of you.
You didn’t question it. You didn’t ask why she was beside you between classes, why she sat near you when she had the chance, why she existed in your orbit like it was simply the way things were meant to be.
And Wednesday… Wednesday felt something almost like satisfaction in that. She wasn't sure why she felt… privileged.
It wasn’t as though you had declared her presence welcome, nor did you ever seek it out. You simply tolerated it. And somehow, that felt like enough. She had seen how you interacted—or rather, how you didn’t interact—with others. You kept your distance. You tolerated Enid. But beyond that, you were an island. Unreachable.
So why was she the exception?
The thought was infuriating. She didn’t like questions without answers.
And even in the dull monotony of school, she felt it, you never let your guard down entirely.
Except for one moment.
The fencing class.
She had been looking forward to it. She had been looking forward to you.
And you didn’t disappoint.
Wednesday had challenged you again. And, as expected, she lost. But this time, it was different. This time, she fought harder, adapted quicker. This time, she made you work for your victory.
And this time, she swore she saw something new in your expression—a flicker of exertion, a moment where you had to focus just a little harder.
She was getting better. And that meant something.
For once, she wasn’t entirely bitter about the loss.
By the time the final bell rang and students were retreating to their dorms, she found herself once again at your side. Neither of you spoke at first.
She felt a strange tightness in her chest, something akin to anticipation. It was an irritating, foreign sensation.
She cleared her throat. “I intend to continue our training this evening.”
You hummed.
That was it. Just a hum.
Wednesday frowned. “Is that a yes?”
You didn’t glance at her. “Maybe.”
She exhaled sharply. “I dislike uncertainty.”
You shrugged. “Then that’s your problem.”
She bristled. You had a talent for being insufferable. And yet, for some inexplicable reason, she found herself anticipating the evening regardless.
You reached your dorm, unlocking the door and stepping inside without another word.
You didn’t invite her in.
She hadn’t expected you to.
But she didn’t leave immediately either.
Her eyes flickered over your room, drinking in the details—or rather, the lack of them.
It was empty.
Not physically, of course. The furniture was there, the walls intact. But there was nothing personal. No photographs, no decorations, no trinkets that suggested someone actually lived here.
It was cold, soulless.
Just like you.
Like you weren’t meant to stay.
Wednesday’s gaze snapped back to you just in time to see you shrug off your blazer, revealing the toned muscles underneath.
That was—
She swallowed, fingers twitching at her sides.
You were strong. She had already known that, felt it in every spar, every clash of weapons. But seeing it like this, under normal lighting, without the rush of battle—
It was different.
She forced herself to look away, scanning the rest of the room instead. That’s when she noticed the bed. Singular.
“You don’t have a roommate?” she asked.
You barely glanced at her. “Wasn’t safe.”
Before she could question further, you reached for the door.
And then—
Slam.
No goodbye. No parting glance. Just the door shutting in her face.
She should have been angry. She should have been irritated at the sheer audacity of you brushing her off so effortlessly.
Instead, she was intrigued.
Again.
Not safe?

The Poe Cup was fast approaching. Preparation was necessary, and while Enid was all too excited about the event, Wednesday was far more interested in ensuring Bianca suffered another humiliating loss.
Her mind should have been occupied with tactics, strategies—ways to dismantle the Siren’s chances at victory.
Instead, it was occupied with you.
No matter how many times she tried to redirect her thoughts, they circled back to you.
Wednesday’s grip tightened around the paintbrush. This was unacceptable.
She had no reason to be thinking about you right now, yet you had embedded yourself into the crevices of her mind, refusing to be dislodged. Your movements, your words—or lack thereof—haunted her in ways she couldn’t quite explain.
It was infuriating.
Why were you always so quiet? Why did you refuse to let anyone in? And why did Wednesday want to be the exception?
The brush in her hand stopped mid-stroke.
A slow, creeping sense of realization settled over her.
She did.
She wanted to be the exception.
The thought was both disturbing and—
“Wow,” Enid said suddenly, snapping Wednesday from her thoughts. “You’ve been at that same spot for like, five minutes.”
Wednesday blinked, turning her head slightly. Enid was watching her, "You're all distracted and moody, well, more moody than usual. And you still haven't come up with a dozen of ways to beat Bianca so that says alot."
Wednesday tightened the rope harder than necessary, the material digging into her palms. "Perhaps you should concern yourself with decorating the boat and leave my thoughts alone."
Enid gasped dramatically. "So you admit you’re thinking about something else?"
Wednesday clenched her jaw.
There was a beat of silence before Enid's tone shifted, becoming far too smug for Wednesday’s liking. "So, what is it? What did she do? Did she say something? Did she look at you in a way that made your little goth heart go all boom boom—?"
"Enid." Wednesday’s voice was sharp, and for a moment, it seemed like Enid might actually drop it.
She didn’t. "Face it, Wednesday. You’re obsessed."
Wednesday stiffened.
The words hit closer than they should have.
Because the truth was, she was obsessed.
With figuring you out.
With understanding why you were the way you were.
Why you made her feel—
No.
She wouldn’t entertain that thought.
Instead, she inhaled sharply and said, "If I did want to learn more about someone, how would I do it?"
Enid blinked.
"You’re seriously asking me this?"
Wednesday rolled her eyes.
Enid grinned. "Well, you could just stalk them, but let’s be real, we both know that’s not going to work with her. She’s, like, the most un-stalkable person I’ve ever seen. Perhaps you should umm.. how would you say it 'Try courting her.' "
Wednesday blinked.
“What?”
“You know, court her,” Enid said, beaming. “Spend time with her, get to know her more. Talk with her. Maybe even—” she wiggled her eyebrows “—text her at night.”
Wednesday narrowed her eyes. “Why at night?”
“Because,” Enid said, “that’s usually when people let their guard down.”
Wednesday stared at her, utterly still. This was absurd. Completely absurd. And yet… A horrifying thought took root in her mind. Would it work?
Wednesday tightened her grip on the rope.
She was going to kill Enid Sinclair.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d126da7f4583d724a9144f1eae279c48/25293f6deafa52d3-5f/s540x810/a2a55bb2c5ae2c32e90ae33e4cb7fcd7f024076e.jpg)
Wednesday was finally done coloring their boat. Now her mind was finally where it should be—on strategy, on victory, on humiliating Bianca once again.
And then you arrived.
You carried the boat paddles, your expression unreadable as always.
Wednesday set her brush down, folding her arms as she eyed you. You placed the paddles beside her without a word.
“Let me guess. Enid forced you.”
“I don’t get forced to do things.”
Wednesday raised a skeptical brow. “So you willingly volunteered to help paint these?”
A beat of silence. Then, a flat, “No.”
Wednesday almost smirked. Almost.
You sighed as if resigning yourself to your fate, rolling up your sleeves. “Let’s get this over with.”
Wednesday wordlessly handed you a brush, watching as you dipped it into the paint. You worked with smooth, deliberate strokes, methodical in your approach. For a moment, there was nothing but the soft shh-shh of bristles against wood.
“You handle a brush like you handle a sword,” she said eventually.
You didn’t look at her. “And how is that?”
“Precise. Controlled.”
You were quiet for a beat. Then, “So do you.”
Wednesday paused mid-stroke.
It was such a simple remark, devoid of any weight or hidden meaning, but for some reason, it lodged itself into her thoughts like a splinter.
She turned slightly to glance at you, only to find you focused entirely on your task. As if the words had been nothing more than an observation.
Her mind was racing, but she refused to let it show. It was infuriating how easily you unsettled her, how effortlessly you took over her thoughts.
This was not supposed to happen.
And yet, it was.
She needed to say something—anything—to break the tension creeping into her chest.
“Why do you never ask questions?”
You paused mid-stroke, finally glancing at her. “What?”
Wednesday met your gaze. “You never ask anything. Never pry. Why?”
You studied her for a moment before looking away. “I don’t see the point.”
Wednesday tilted her head. “Curiosity is a natural human instinct.”
“I’ve never been particularly human.”
Wednesday’s fingers twitched again. That statement—it was too familiar. Too close to something she would say.
Before she could think of a response, footsteps approached again, breaking the moment entirely.
Enid and Yoko had arrived.
“So, are we finally making a battle plan, or are we just winging it?”
Wednesday exhaled slowly, “Yes,” she said, rising to her feet. “We’re discussing strategy.”
Enid perked up. “Good, because I just got some inside info—Bianca’s adding shields to her boat this year. That means last year’s spear trick won’t work.”
Wednesday clenched her jaw. The race was tomorrow, and she had yet to come up with an alternative strategy.
She had been too—
Distracted.
Enid leaned over the boat, frowning. “We need something else.”
Enid and Yoko began listing potential alternatives, but every suggestion was quickly met with a countermeasure that Bianca had likely already accounted for.
Nothing felt right.
Nothing seemed enough.
And then—
“Your focus is misplaced.” you spoke.
All three of them turned to you.
You remained seated, still painting, still looking entirely uninterested in the conversation.
“You’re too fixated on Bianca,” you continued. “There are other teams in this race. You’re underestimating them.”
Enid blinked. “Wait, what?”
“Focus on them,” you said simply.
Enid frowned. “And Bianca?”
“Leave taking Bianca’s boat down to me.” you said as you finished the last stroke of paint on the paddle.
Wednesday rolled her eyes. “And what guarantee do we have that you can take her down? The water is her field.”
Your gaze met hers.
Emotionless. And Wednesday can see it... the darkness building in your eyes.
“I don’t fail.”
A slow smirk curled at the edges of Wednesday’s lips.
Because suddenly—
Suddenly, she knew exactly how they were going to win.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d126da7f4583d724a9144f1eae279c48/25293f6deafa52d3-5f/s540x810/a2a55bb2c5ae2c32e90ae33e4cb7fcd7f024076e.jpg)
Wednesday adjusted the black cat ears on her head with all the enthusiasm of someone fastening a noose around their own neck.
This was humiliating. She loathed every aspect of it. But, she supposed, she loathed losing more.
With a sigh, she pulled on the last piece of the outfit and stepped out of the Black Cat’s tent.
And there you were.
Standing a short distance away, arms crossed, staring at Enid and Yoko like they had personally insulted your ancestors.
Your expression was twisted into something resembling mild horror as you looked them up and down. Almost as if you felt her presence, your eyes flicked over to her.
And then—
Disgust.
Your face didn’t change much, but Wednesday caught the subtle narrowing of your eyes, the barely-there curl of your lip.
She had seen this expression on you before—when you were unimpressed, when you found something utterly beneath your standards.
And now you were looking at her like that.
Wednesday was already plotting different ways to murder Enid for putting her in this position.
“I’m not wearing that.” you said.
“Oh, what?” Enid gasped. “You didn’t know?” She turned to Wednesday, hands on her hips. “Wednesday didn’t tell you? This is compulsory.”
You turned to her, a glare so sharp it could cut steel.
She held your glare, unwavering, refusing to be intimidated by whatever silent death threat you were sending her way.
But—strangely—her pulse quickened.
Not out of fear.
Out of something far worse.
Something she refused to name.
Without another word, you grabbed one of the dreadful uniforms from the pile and disappeared into the changing tent.
The second you were gone, Enid turned to Wednesday, eyes practically gleaming.
“This is kinda romantic,” she mused.
Wednesday narrowed her eyes. “What part of this is remotely romantic?”
"The way you two had a telepathic deathmatch to see who comes out on top right now."
Wednesday ignored her and crossed her arms, waiting.
The minutes stretched, and with each passing second, an odd anticipation settled in her chest.
The tent flap opened and you stepped out.
Her mind stuttered.
There you stood, in the same ridiculous, skintight, fur-trimmed uniform as the rest of them.
Except—
Somehow, on you, it wasn’t ridiculous at all.
The tight fabric outlined every curve, every muscle. The high collar made your shoulders seem sharper, your stance more imposing. And somehow, somehow, the absurd cat ears didn’t make you look silly. They made you look…
Wednesday clenched her jaw.
Absolutely not.
She refused to acknowledge whatever this was.
You had the same unimpressed, vaguely murderous expression you always did, but now it was directed at Enid.
“Try to hug me and I’ll gut you.”
Enid, unbothered, clasped her hands together. “Awww, you’re so cute when you threaten me.”
Wednesday barely heard them.
She was too focused on regaining her composure.
Luckily, Enid was already moving on. “So this is it. You ready?" she asked.
You nodded and strode toward the competition’s starting line. Wednesday followed a moment later, trying very hard to bury whatever the hell had just happened to her brain.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d126da7f4583d724a9144f1eae279c48/25293f6deafa52d3-5f/s540x810/a2a55bb2c5ae2c32e90ae33e4cb7fcd7f024076e.jpg)
Wednesday gripped her oar with steady fingers, her mind already calculating all the different outcomes, all the scenarios.
Enid sat in the front of their sleek black boat, all grins and bubbling excitement, her fingers twitching with the urge to start rowing before Weems even gave the signal. Yoko was just behind her. Then there was herself, positioned in the middle, strategically placed for control, for observation.
And finally—
You.
Right behind her.
The final and most unpredictable element of this entire race.
She had spent so much time observing you, studying you, trying to untangle the mystery of who you were. And now, here you were, closer than ever, a mere breath away from her.
It made something restless twist inside her.
To their right sat the Amontillados, Xavier's team, who was currently staring at the their boat with open amusement. No—
Not at the boat.
At you.
Wednesday stiffened as Xavier leaned forward, his mouth already curving into that insufferable smirk.
“Wow,” he mused, voice just loud enough for you to hear. “Never thought I’d see you in something like that. Gotta say, it’s a look.”
Wednesday’s grip on her oar tightened.
She knew Xavier well enough to recognize that tone, that smug attempt at charm. He tried it on herself last year. He was flirting. With you.
Wednesday felt something snap. A cold, sharp irritation slithered through her chest. She resisted the urge to throw him overboard.
Your reaction, as always, was infuriatingly unreadable. You didn’t acknowledge Xavier, didn’t look at him, didn’t even blink and Xavier chuckled, clearly amused.
She would drown him.
She would personally drag him to the bottom of the lake and drown him.
Before she could act on the impulse, the sound of Principal Weems clearing her throat brought her back.
“The annual Poe Cup is a tradition that has stood since the founding of Nevermore Academy,” Weems began, her voice carrying across the water. “It is a test of teamwork, strategy, and endurance.”
Wednesday resisted the urge to scoff.
Weems continued, glancing between the competing boats. “As always, the rules are simple. Each team must paddle across Raven’s Island, retrieve their team flag, and return to the starting line without being sunk. First team across with their flag—wins.”
Weems lifted the revolver high.
“Let the best team win.”
The second the gunshot rang through the air, the boats shot forward, Bianca’s team took the lead almost immediately, her boat gliding through the water with practiced ease, her team moving in perfect sync with her commands.
Wednesday focused. Bianca wasn’t their immediate concern.
Not yet.
Enid paddled furiously at the front, Yoko, right behind her, was more controlled, keeping pace with Wednesday’s calculated movements.
And at the very back, you were eerily calm as you paddled.
Silent.
Watching.
It was infuriating how unfazed you looked while the rest of them exerted themselves, muscles burning as they fought against the current.
But Wednesday had no time to dwell on it.
Not when she caught movement to her left.
Wednesday snapped her head toward them.
The Pit and the Pendulum’s boat was creeping up at an angle, dangerously close, their team moving with clear intent. And then she saw it—
A glint of metal.
The Pit and the Pendulum’s boat jerked to the side, revealing the hidden mechanism at their center.
A massive swinging axe, And it was falling. Right toward them.
A normal person might have panicked.
Enid let out a startled noise, already moving instinctively to the side—
But before the axe could make contact—
It should have split their boat in half.
But it didn’t.
Wednesday had barely registered the movement before she saw it.
You.
Your sword was there.
Your conjured katana, held in one hand with a casual ease, intercepting the massive axe mid-swing.
The force alone should have sent you staggering—should have sent you reeling back—but you stood firm. Your grip never wavered, the katana steady as it held the axe at bay.
Wednesday felt something crawl up her spine.
Admiration? Fascination? Something else? There wasn’t time to dissect it.
She had to move. Now.
With the axe momentarily stalled, Wednesday yanked at the mechanism near her foot—a concealed lever.
The Black Cats’ trap sprang into action.
A weighted net shot out from the side of their boat as it latched onto three of the Pit and the Pendulum’s oars, entangling them, causing them to lose their balance. Their boat wobbled dangerously and then, they tipped.
Wednesday didn’t look back. She wasn't the one to revel in the small victory. Neither were you.
Because the race wasn’t over yet.
Ahead, Bianca’s boat surged forward, sleek and unhindered, cutting through the water like a blade. She had taken an early lead, and despite Wednesday’s best efforts to focus, irritation prickled at the back of her mind.
Not because Bianca was winning.
But because her own mind—her own cursed thoughts—kept slipping back to the girl at the rear of their boat who was silent as ever.
Bianca’s team had reached the island first.
Wednesday grit her teeth, adjusting her grip on the oar. Each stroke sent a sharp pull through her muscles, the effort burning in her arms, but she refused to relent.
Enid panted in front of her, “We’re almost there!”
Yoko, ever composed, nodded. “Push harder. We need to close the gap.”
Bianca’s team had already beached their boat, Bianca going for the flag while the rest stayed behind to defend the boat against any sabotage.
Wednesday didn’t hesitate.
The moment their boat scraped against the shore, she jumped out, boots sinking into the wet sand. She knew the way.
She had walked this ground before.
But so had Bianca. She moved quickly, heart pounding not from exertion, but from the quiet thrill of the challenge. When she reached their flags Bianca was already taking her's. Wednesday narrowed her eyes, stepping closer.
Bianca said running past her, “Try not to take a cat nap this time, Addams.”
“I could take one and still win," Wednesday said yanking their flag off.
As soon as she returned back to the shoreline, she spotted her team already waiting in the boat. Enid was already waving frantically from the boat.
“Hurry!” she yelled. “They’re getting ready to launch!”
Wednesday barely slowed as she reached the water’s edge. The boat rocked as she jumped in, but her balance remained steady. She shoved the flag into the side compartment before gripping her oar.
They were back on the water.
And Bianca was still ahead.
The race was now in its most critical moment. The return.
Bianca’s boat cut through the waves, her team paddling with brutal efficiency. But then— Bianca’s team made their move.
Wednesday saw it before the Amontillados did.
Dark shapes slithered beneath the water, just barely visible beneath the surface. Sirens.
Wednesday watched as Xavier’s boat lurch violently.
His teammates flailed, oars slipping from their grasp as hands dragged against their boat, pulling them off course.
The Amontillados didn’t stand a chance.
Xavier and his team barely had time to react before the boat tipped, sending them plunging into the lake.
“Bianca with her damn sirens again,” Yoko muttered. “She took out the Amontillados. We’re next, get ready!”
“I will cut their arms off if they touch this boat.” Your voice was even, void of emotion. “They know that,” you continued, “So they won’t. They probably have some other strategy to take us down.”
Wednesday believed you.
She wasn’t sure if the sirens feared you because of what you could do, or because they had seen you do it before.
They rowed and they rowed.
The finish line loomed ahead, the cheers from the shore swallowed by the sound of paddles striking the water and the waves.
Bianca’s boat was ahead, but not by much. The Black Cats were closing in, their speed a perfect, deadly rhythm, Wednesday just needs to slow it down. She got ready, this was her time, her hand tightened around the crossbow, the one you had given her, or more accurately, conjured for her. It was light, too light, yet it fit in her hands as if it had always been meant for her.
She positioned herself, lifting the crossbow, lining up the shot. One bolt. Just one hole in that boat and the black cats are winning this.
She exhaled, steadying her fingers on the trigger—
Then froze.
A sound curled through the air, slipping into her mind like a wisp of fog curling around her thoughts. It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t forceful.
It was beautiful.
Her aim faltered.
Her vision blurred at the edges.
Bianca.
Bianca was singing.
Wednesday clenched her jaw, forcing her grip to stay firm, her finger pressing against the trigger. She blinked, forcing focus, forcing precision—Then fired.
The bolt sliced through the air, cutting towards its target. And then....
Then it missed. No, it didn't miss, it went through Bianca's boat, or more like.. the fake projection of the boat Bianca created in her vision, just behind their actual boat.
Wednesday gritted her teeth. Bianca’s smirk was sharp, knowing.
Then the real attack began.
The siren’s song grew louder, crashing over them like a tidal wave. It wasn’t just in her head anymore—it was in the air, vibrating in her skull, pressing against her ribs.
“Shit—” Yoko’s voice was strangled as she tore her hands from the oar, slamming them over her ears.
Enid whimpered, her claws scraping against the boat’s side as she did the same.
The song grew stronger, insidious. Not just a suggestion, but a command.
Jump.
The word coiled around them like a serpent tightening its grip.
Wednesday felt it seep into her thoughts, her fingers twitching at the oar. Her arms burned as she struggled to paddle alone, the boat swaying against the current.
Bianca’s gaze locked onto hers, triumph in every line of her expression.
She had won. She knew it. And so did Wednesday.
The edges of her vision darkened, the melody still tugging, pulling, commanding, and then—
Bianca’s face twisted. Her smirk faltered.
The song stopped.
A scream.
No
Multiple screams.
Wednesday knew screams.
She had heard them before—raw, agonized, desperate cries that filled the halls of her mind like a sweet melody.
But this—
This was different.
It wasn’t just pain.
It was terror.
Pure, unfiltered terror.
Wednesday’s gaze snapped to Bianca’s boat.
Bianca’s team was writhing, clawing at themselves, their mouths open in bloodcurdling shrieks. Their fingers tore at their skin, their bodies convulsing as if set ablaze by something unseen.
One of them lurched forward, eyes wide in horror as he let out a strangled gasp—
Then flung himself into the water.
Then another.
And another.
Bianca was the only one left.
And she was shaking.
Slowly, she turned looking at their boat but her eyes weren’t on Wednesday anymore.
They were looking behind her.
Enid and Yoko turned first.
And then Wednesday followed.
You weren’t there.
The space where you had been sitting was empty. They immediately turned back, looking at Bianca.
Bianca’s expression was frozen in something Wednesday had never seen on her before.
Fear.
Not apprehension.
Not wariness.
True, genuine fear.
Then Wednesday saw why.
You stood on Bianca’s boat.
No sound, no splash, no indication of movement. One moment you had been with them. The next, you were standing before Bianca, staring at her as if.., as if you were the bringer of death itself.
Then, with a flicker of motion so quick it was almost imperceptible—
Your katana materialized in your hand.
A sharp whistle of air as the blade cut through space—
Bianca flinched, her arms flying up in reflex, but the strike never touched her.
Instead—
A sharp crack echoed through the water.
A split second later, Bianca’s boat lurched violently.
A clean, perfect slash—
Straight through the hull.
The boat split in two, water rushing in, swallowing it whole.
Bianca barely had time to react before she was sinking, her body hitting the water with a sharp splash.
Wednesday steadied her breath.
Her fingers curled around the oar, her grip firm.
She turned back.
And there you were. Sitting in your seat.
As if you had never left. As if nothing had happened.
“Start rowing.” Your voice was emotionless, cold. Commanding.
Wednesday’s fingers twitched against the wood. She had never been one to follow orders. But she didn’t hesitate to follow this.

Late Nights
This is potentially the first of many (I am rotating them in my head - please talk to me lol)
Title: Late Nights
WC: 1027w
Summary: Viktor is being stubborn, and Jayce employs desperate measures.
——————
“V, it’s two in the morning. Surely we call it now.” Jayce wiped his forehead with his arm, dropping his spanner and looking over to his partner. Viktor didn’t even look up from his project.
“I’m sure I’m close to something. I just need a little more time…”
“You said that an hour ago. And then an hour before that. This will still be here in the morning.”
“It is the morning already, no? Therefore a new day has started, and I have even more time than anticipated.”
Jayce could hear the grin in Viktor’s voice - he loved to be pedantic about words. Sighing, he abandoned his post and walked over to Viktor’s chair. He observed him carefully manoeuvring instruments around the hexcore, intently focused. Jayce felt his mind wander as he felt the tiredness for the first time. His hand slipped off the back of the chair to Viktor’s crutch, knocking it to the ground and making him jump.
Viktor pushed his goggles to his forehead. “Jayce! That broke my concentration, I almost had it!”
“No you didn’t.”
“How do you know?”
Jayce yawned, leaning on the back of the chair. “When you’re actually close to figuring something out, you have a face for it. A figured-out face.”
Viktor sputtered. “What- no I don’t!”
Jayce just raised his eyebrows. “You do. So, are we calling it a day?”
Viktor narrowed his eyes, studying Jayce for a minute before going back to his work with an amused smile. “No. You may go, but I will stay.”
Jayce let his head fall to the side. He was fucking around now, and he was gonna find out.
“Well, if that’s how you’re gonna be, I’m going to have to resort to making you.”
Viktor scoffed. “Good luck- whoa!”
Jayce wrapped his arms around Viktor and pulled him up out of the chair, half dragging him away from his work. Viktor yelled and pushed at his arms in response, kicking out weakly.
“Jayce, this is madness and undignified!”
Jayce adjusted his grip and Viktor squirmed, making a choked noise and throwing himself to the side. An idea suddenly popped into his head.
“You want undignified? I’ll show you undignified.”
With that, Jayce took most of Viktor’s weight with one arm and used the other to prod at his side. Viktor let out a high pitched yelp and started thrashing with more vigour than Jayce thought possible. He didn’t laugh, not yet, but there was absolutely no doubt that his poking tickled pretty badly.
Jayce stopped dragging him, opting instead to kneel and pin Viktor to the floor, temporarily providing relief. Viktor’s chest heaved from trying to escape, but with his arms pinned all he could do was glare at Jayce.
“What the hell was that?” Viktor complained, flushed. Jayce laughed.
“Are you going to bed now? I think you know what will happen if you don’t.”
Viktor mumbled something foreign under his breath and struggled a little before giving up.
“This is cruel considering my condition, Jayce.”
Jayce loosened his grip, thinking he’d won, but the minute Viktor could move he used a hand to grab onto his rib cage and squeeze, making Jayce burst out laughing.
“Oh, you little shit I’m gonna get you now.”
Viktor’s self satisfied grin was lost when Jayce quickly pinned both his arms above his head with one hand, the other aiming to skitter up Viktor’s side. He had a moment to try and squirm away before the fingers touched down and all hope was lost.
“Oh no no no-!” Viktor repeated, immediately dissolving into cackles. Jayce laughed triumphantly, hand crawling up and down Viktor’s ribs like a spider. He nudged his fingers between the bones of his ribs and wiggled, and that made Viktor shriek.
“Ha! I had no idea you were this ticklish!” Jayce teased, counting up Viktor’s ribs until he was a giggly, squirmy mess.
“Plehease!” Viktor managed amidst laughter, arching his back which only made Jayce’s tickling worse.
Jayce released his arms and Viktor though he had freedom, but that other hand just slipped under his shirt to tickle him even more, fluttering over his stomach before scuttling up to his ribs to join the torture. Viktor’s freed arms could do absolutely nothing against Jayce, who he was quickly discovering was a force of nature when it came to tickling. He tried to resist as best he could, but it had been so long since someone had dared try this on him and he was not handling it well.
Recognising his defeat, he let his head fall back and laughed freely, giving up on his efforts to stop the curious hands.
“Ahallright! I will stop! Jahayce, it tickles!”
Jayce finally let up on his victim, drawing his hands over his bare tummy one last time to get a giggle out of him.
“Still alive?” Jayce asked, and Viktor glared at him.
“Alive? You just about killed me!”
Jayce grinned and cocked his head, teasing. “No. If I wanted to truly turn you into a puddle I could have held you still and blown raspberries on your tummy. I could still do that-“
Viktor quickly moved to protect his stomach, scooching out from under Jayce. “No! No, you have tormented me enough today.”
“Are you sure? There’s no shame in wanting more - it sounded like you were begging for it before.”
Viktor turned bright red, stammering on his words and sitting up. “I did not- what are you-“
Jayce chuckled and put a hand on Viktor’s shoulder. He flinched, but relaxed when he realised Jayce wasn’t going to tickle him again. The hand moved to cradle his cheek and Viktor unconsciously leaned into it, yawning. This time it was Jayce’s turn to blush, and he drew his hand away after a moment.
“Anyway. We should get some sleep.” Jayce stood and offered a hand to Viktor, which he took. “Is the heating in your apartment still broken?”
Viktor sighed. “Yes. My landlords are… useless, is the kindest word I could use.”
“My place?”
“Mhm. If I wake up to you cuddling in your sleep again, I’ll obliterate you.”
“Sure you will.”
