It's the 5th of February here...you know what that means.

It's Terr-I mean Taehyun's birthday, wohoo!

As always, I've made a collage for him ☺️

Ok, just for clarification, I needed to take a screenshot from his Sugar Rush Ride fancam. Why? Because I needed a picture of him sleeveless. You need to admire his muscles, the boy works out and you need to see the muscles 😤

The selcas on the middle are my favourite of him honestly, he gives such ✨ S W A G ✨ energy, I couldn't not put them.

Enough with the explanation, it's time for the emotional part (there's a language switch here, I'm sorry).

Taehyun is really important to me, especially for this blog's history. I still remember how I was spending the night reblogging birthday content for him when, out of the sudden, I thought: "Wait, isn't it too boring? It's his birthday and I'm just adding the usual tags..."

I kept scrolling until I found another birthday gifset dedicated to him. I don't remember exactly which gifset was, I just remember that I went completely in AWWW mode and I screamed "Ah ma che patato che è". That moment was like an epiphany for me, I really started to use that word more and more just for him. And then that word became his personal tag. Yup, his personal tag, my first personal tag, was born on his day. What a coincidence, uh? Since then, if I have enough fantasy, I always give a personal tag for every member of every group that I stan (I'm crazy, I know perfectly, don't worry).

So, yeah, if my blog has become even more "personal" for me, tagging wise, it's thanks to Taehyun.

Of course this is not the only reason why I love him. I don't know if it's just me but I noticed that Tae has a very special duality. Tae seems the most mature and chill member if you just watch a couple of TxT videos. A little savage, sure, but it seems the more mature, the voice of reason sometimes. But then you dive a little more deeper and you discover that, at the end of the day, he also loves bring chaos like the rest of the maknae line. He just has his way of being chaotic. I'll always remember the To Do episode where TxT were doing the Police Playbook and Tae did that magic trick with the pen out of the sudden. I'm still laughing about it. It's this duality that makes me love him even more.

I can't talk about Taehyun without mentioning my love for his voice. When I discovered TxT and I started to listen to their discography, Taehyun was the first vocalist I immediately recognized. Probably I should thanks his highnotes but, uhm...I don't think I just love him for that. I love the way he modulate his voice for every song. He immediately understands which song he's singing and he makes sure you can feel the right emotion while singing it. He's singing an happy and upbeat song? He makes sure to put a smile on your face while singing it. A sad and emotional song? You'll surely cry thanks to him. You get it. Singing is his way of "acting" for me. He knows how to communicate a certain feeling and, like a real actor, he makes sure you'll feel those emotions. And I love him for this.

Dear Taehyun, I don't have enough love words for your day. I only wish for you to never stop being curious. Trying new things and challenges has always been one of the best trait of yours and you demonstrated this with the last album too. Knowing how much work and energy you put every time, new challenges will be a new occasion to show to us more sides of you and I can't wait to see them. Don't worry about the result. Even when it's not perfect, MOAs will always appreciate your effort and your courage to try something new.

Hope you'll celebrate this day happily with the members and your family too, you deserve it.

I really wanna know, how are you so good with coming up with ideas?? How do you write so well/how did you get started on writing?? I really want to learn how to write well!

First off I love your username 🤣 and I’m glad you find my writing fun to read I try my best to make it as pleasing as possible.

So I come up with ideas by just everyday life thinking like hmmm how would the lads men react to this or hmmm I could make this a story. I have a very active imagination and I’m a maladaptive daydreamer so that’s probably a big part of it.

I gained traction pretty fast on here so the other half (damn near the majority) of all the prompts on my blog are from 🩵my lovely followers🩵 who send in requests. You guys keep expanding my imagination and I can’t thank you enough for that 🫶🏾

How did I get started writing? My mother was an English teacher up until I was about 8 years old so she introduced me to reading and writing heavy growing up. I was always reading above my actual grade level.

I wrote my first “story” when I was in 3rd grade and I’ve been writing ever since. I’m also an avid reader; I love falling into another world through books.

That feeling I get from reading is what I translate into my writing. My writing on here is more fun and goofy than actual literature. I do write Novellas in my free time but I will probably never show them to anyone because I heavily critique my writing so much ☠️

Learning to write well is a journey and you’re always learning. I'm still learning ways to improve my writing. If you’re looking to start writing stories here’s a few tips I can give you.

‼️DISCLAIMER I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL‼️

These are just a few things I’ve learned. If you disagree that’s fine this is just what I’ve learned.

Avoid run on sentences

If you have a sentence that is getting a bit long find a stopping point and add a period. If you feel like it absolutely needs to be one sentence then break it up with a semicolon.

Break up your paragraphs

Long paragraphs with no breaks can make a reader gloss over your writing

Find your writing style

If you’re too busy trying to imitate the writing style of someone else you’ll find yourself stressed when trying to write your own work

Describe imagery

Tap into your readers imagination; describe what they’re looking at and what’s going on in great detail - build a world in your mind so you can help build one in their mind - if you have a hard time building the world in your own mind your reader will struggle as well.

Word vomit! Trust the process!

WRITE THOSE ROUGH DRAFTS - it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t make any sense just get those words onto the page you can edit and revise later every piece starts rough get those rough drafts written and go from there.

Avoid repetitive sentences, words, & over explaining

For example “I reached over the fence to grab the flower that was on the other side of the fence” You see how at the beginning of the sentence it’s already been established that whatever the character is reaching for is on the other side of the fence. That’s just a quick example.

Study grammar and use a dictionary

There are many ways to describe just about anything and you don’t have to stay inside a box of simple words to do it.

Lastly, it sounds corny, but have fun.

If you want to write you should enjoy it and it’s just words on a page that you can edit and revise.

Nooo don’t second guess yourself with the ‘old’ dialogue (I’m the same anon btw lol). Your writing is awesome! And honestly, it’s not in all the dialogue! Just some.

But you know what I think it was? I think it’s because I noticed you use ‘perhaps’ a lot 😂 like most people would just say ‘maybe’ and not the word ‘perhaps.’

There’s also the word ‘bear’ you use often, eg, “I can’t bear to be in a relationship with him” - I think I’ve just seen those two words so often in the story. ‘perhaps’ and ‘bear’ I hardly ever hear in conversation, so they just seem so old school to me 😂

And I totally see it now, that you point it out with specific examples (which, truly, thank you for that 🫂). I guess this is what can happen when English isn’t my first language 😂 When I write, sometimes my brain goes *boop* literal translation of the word in my mother language 🤭 Though I will say I’m intentionally trying to make the language more “novel” like? I don’t know if that makes sense (and I might read some totally weird ass books 🤣). 

But I would totally say ‘perhaps’ or ‘bear’ in daily speech (in my mother language). I also speak very formally and academically in speech, maybe that’s why it seeps into my writing 🤔 Thank you so much for pointing it out though, because no one ever has, and I can totally see your point with those words, so I’ll try to be more aware of the words that I use— I would like the dialogue to flow, and for that the words needs to be dynamic and if then ‘perhaps’ or ‘bear’ shows up, I can see how that might have the opposite effect 😬

Also, now that you point it out like that, I can totally see how they sound ‘old school’ and ‘bear’ is also such a heavy word, but in the context you showed, MC was being very dramatic (which I think ‘bear’ is— but maybe I should look up more synonyms (not necessarily for ‘bear’) but I used to do this before in my writing, because I know I tend to repeat the same words often ���🫣

Anyway, I’m rambling a lot now. I wanted to thank you, especially for giving those examples, because I’m totally gonna search and replace some of them in the dialogue 😂 So thank you for making it easier for me too! 🫶

Also, I’m not trying to excuse my (poor) writing with the fact that English isn’t my first language, it’s just a fact— but I’m trying hard to improve, so thank you for clarifying 💜

- writing this fic was...something...an experience...this was the first fic i ever had a beta? ??? (actually seagate didnt need to look this over but she did) and let me tell u like, i learned a lot ashdgasj i’ve never had someone look over my writing while im still writing it, and giving suggestions and pointing things out. this wouldnt come out as it is without help lmao. i would write a sentence and seagate would make it flow better; i translate my thoughts and seagate made sure it isnt whack (english is not my first language), checked that my tenses isn’t all over the place, that i dont get lost with characterization etc

would i get a beta again? probably. i’ll make sure to finish a draft first before letting them look it over 😄

1. Which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely?

Light beam, only because I keep feeling it should have been better written (more scenes, more something).

12. If you write in more than one language, what's the difference?

My mother language is Portuguese, there are hundreds of expressions you just can't translate (as I always complain to @sweeethinny) and I think that English is missing them 🤣 Other than that, I write in English when the fic is English because translating doesn't work well for me, but I can't really explain why.

34. Do you write to improve? Or is that not a concern for you?

Oh, I do, I think everyone does. I'm always trying to write at least a little better than the last thing I wrote :)

I just saw your English journey! Same as me. I migrated here in Australia when I was sixteen and I could barely put a sentence together. It was even harder because they’ve got this accent and slangs that are so different to American English that I was taught since I started school. It was even harder when I enrolled myself in a highschool here, I spent an entire year full of frustration with no progress in sight (my peers always encouraged me and often compliments me with how much progress I made but I was not seeing it so yk, I only believed it when I recieved an english excellence award after three gruelling years lol). I did the English test too, but not the EILST. I did the PTE tests (got a good result which made me happy) and it was sooo hard since it was all computerised and also cost over 300 Australian dollars each test so you really have to get it right the first if you don’t want to pay another 300+ for it.

I can communicate well but I still have limited vocabulary and really have to slow down when speaking verbally because I tend to speak really fast and gets tounge tied and starts to stutter when I am feeling pressured to speak. Every time I meet someone from my original country and they start speaking to me in the national language I get so confuse wether I should speak my native language, or the national language or English. It’s embarrassing sometimes when they look at me with confusion because three languages just gets put in one sentence altogether. 🤣 I agree with getting rusty right away, you really need to speak english always and bunos if it’s with native english speakers always so it improve your skill too. My grammars are still not perfect and I often find myself with so many mistakes and try to correct myself when I realised it.

Advice for your anon or anyone though, is that surround yourself with talkative and native english speakers because they are a really good help. Surrounding yourself with good communicators can go a long way. If you want progress in your english skills, separate yourself from people who speak the same language as you with little english and people who barely speaks english whilst still remaining polite and nice to them. It sounds bad or discriminatory if you put too much thought into it but it’s actually not. Believe me, that’s how I learn. You just want more and sometimes you have spread your wings for it. 🤷‍♀️

I always forget you’re not an english speaker until you starts speaking spanish or portuguese (sorry I can’t spell this) in my feed. 🤣

Oh wow, I imagine this must have been so hard for you, anon! I see a lot of similar stories from people who moved to a foreign country while not being familiar with the language quite yet, it must be really really hard. When I moved to the UK my english was already decent but I saw a lot of colleagues and friends struggling with it... I remember having a class with two girls and they could barely communicate in english. I was so anxious for them all the time because I could see how much they were struggling. But it was also nice to see how much they progressed over time!

But I totally agree with you, if you need to learn a language the best way to do it is to surround yourself with it.

First thank you so much for even being there and sharing your art. You bring so much inspiration and comfort with your art, I just look at it and feel like I should continue trying to improve.

I mean, typical English classes? Learning grammar and vocabulary in not effecting way, learning shit you will never really use with normal people etc. Learning it felt like, dunno, learning some math issues that you KNOW you will never use in life too and becasue you are not going to choose some science college degree, you don't see any sense in learning it. So, in that case it was surviving. The moment I started needing it, I started really learning it. Aka, bascially, reading fics and books some time later xD... and writing fics, because some people refused to write things I wanted to read, lol

Oooooooooh, that sounds super cool! So you learn languages in th easy way? I'm so jealous! I have learnt French and German in school, but never really got to the higher level than "i want to buy beer" xD And i have learnt Japanese for 5 years at university and I can say more in it (but seriosuly i have too come back to it and refresh it).

In my case, I feel comfortable in a foreign language when I can think in it. What means I feel like that only about English and Polish xD

It's our most famous Polish line for kids and we use it when we want to scare foreigners away :P
