I actually really liked Enji’s apology I can’t lie, I don’t think it was wrong of him or at all in the wrong direction! I also think that it wasn’t a self pity apology or self-centred one, he apologised to each individual member of the family separately instead of just being like “family I’m sorry”!

However, I will say this it did make me giggle how Touya was ranting, and Enji was like “yes talk speak your feelings let me have it” and then he just went on to apologise. Like honey I thought you were going to let him talk 🤭 but no honesty as someone who’s made it clear I don’t like Enji, I actually really enjoyed this chapter and liked his apology! The way he crawled to Touya 😩 my heart I swear and I mean I loved the apology. This is a weird question, but y'know how some versions of Hook are super serious nearly all of the time (like in the novel and in Peter Pan and the Pirates) and some of them are only semi-serious (like the Cyril Ritchard one)? Where does Disney Hook sit on that scale of silly to serious? What do you think the ideal ratio is?

Another thing, how rich looking do you like Hook to be? Toned down like his OG stage appearance or crazy, stupid, impractical wealthy looking like Hoffman's Hook?

Aw, thanks so much! I’m always happy to hear someone is enjoying my content and I’m not just rambling about my favorite character into the void. 😅

So…as this is primarily a Disney Hook blog, I’m admittedly a little bit biased in my preference. I love most versions of Hook (though there are a few I actually really dislike because I feel they do a disservice to the character), but Disney has a special place in my heart because it was Disney’s version that first drew me to the character and convinced me to read the novel. I was intrigued by the fact that he could simultaneously be a legitimately threatening villain and also show emotions like fear and despair that we so rarely saw in animated villain characters from that era. It was these moments of “weakness” that made him actually seem human to me. A Hook (or any character) who is TOO stoic and frightening either becomes entirely unlikable because the audience can’t relate to them or they become a sort of flat, boring stereotype, a sort of caricature of villainy.

The more classic Disney villains are generally meant to be the sort of character we love to hate and hate to love. They’re supposed to be a little over the top and larger than life. They’re meant to revel in their villainy while still being entertaining. We’re supposed to like them at least to a point even if we seriously disagree with their moral standpoint on things. There are a few, however, who become a little too “real” and who I genuinely despise… Frollo comes to mind. There is nothing “fun” about Frollo. He’s a racist, misogynistic, ableist man who mis-uses the name of God and his authoritative position to get what he wants. Is Frollo a well-written villain? Oh, absolutely. Is there anything about him that I find likable or redeemable? I mean, he has a good singing voice… But that’s about the only nice thing I can say about him. He’s a terrible person and I have zero sympathy for him at his death.

But to return to Hook specifically…. What I find interesting is that although Disney’s Hook is often accused of being too silly, really the only thing that makes him a comical villain is his fear reactions to the crocodile (and octopus if you include the sequel). And that is entirely a function of the lens we are given to view him as the audience. The music we hear in the background as the crocodile’s theme is rather lighthearted and the other characters (the heroes) are often making fun of him in the scenes where he’s having a complete breakdown and running/swimming for his life. But if we switched the music to something more ominous (check out the Drewe & Stiles Peter Pan musical theme for the crocodile—it’s frankly terrifying) and saw things from Hook’s perspective…it would really give off the same vibes as, say, Jaws or Jurassic Park. I strongly suspect that if it were our heroes being chased by the crocodile, things would look/sound/feel very different. Case in point…go watch clips of Pinocchio where Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio, and Geppetto are fleeing Monstro the Whale and compare them side by side with Hook’s interactions with the crocodile. One is portrayed as comedic while the other is an action scene where we feel like the characters are genuinely in danger…but realistically, the same thing is happening in both. (Side note… I was absolutely TERRIFIED of that scene in Pinocchio as a kid. I literally had nightmares about it…so maybe I just relate a little too hard to Hook’s reaction and that’s why I’m so defensive of him.)

Compared to certain other Hooks, Disney’s is rather…soft, high-strung, and prone to being emotional but…that’s actually what I like most about him. That said, there are absolutely moments when we are reminded that we should be afraid of him. Heck, he shoots a man dead in his first few minutes of screen time which is more than most villains do. During the scene in Skull Rock, he climbs up behind Peter and—if Wendy hadn’t warned him in time of Hook’s approach—would have sunk the claw in through Peter’s eye socket. Not to mention the fact that he threatens Tiger Lily’s life and afterlife, sends a bomb to a child, and would have gladly allowed every single one of the Lost Boys and Darlings to walk off the plank to drown when they wouldn’t sign on with his crew. We also have him mention in passing “boiling in oil…keelhauling…marooning…” which would seem to imply that these are things he has done before and is willing to do again. In Return to Neverland we arguably have some even scarier moments on-screen. That final showdown with Jane…there are moments where you can see the murder in his eyes. He nearly lops off Jane’s hand at one point and then immediately attempts to run her through with his sword when that fails. A few seconds too late and she would have been a goner. In those moments, we are reminded of exactly what Hook is capable of and why the children should be afraid of him.

Disney’s Hook is, I think, a good mixture of scary and sympathetic; humorous and heavy…and that’s why he’s my favorite Hook. He’s very human and it makes him a lot of fun to play around with as a writer.

To answer your second question regarding Hook’s opulence…I tend to prefer my Hooks to be somewhere in the middle—wealthy but not totally impractical. If you go back through the series I did looking at versions of the Jolly Roger in different Peter Pan media and what we could learn about that particular Hook from his ship, Disney and Isaacs come out as two of the “middle ground” Hooks who I would label as well-off (unlike Jude Law’s Hook, who seems more like any other average sailor in terms of his wealth) but not rich to the point of impractical extravagance (like Hoffman’s Hook).

I’ve always disliked the idea that Rory was a pick me girl, most often not people use her conversation with Tristan of all people to prove that she is by using ‘substance’ line. A pick me girl is a girl who will tear down other women for the sake of male validation. Rory doesn’t do that, she especially doesn’t want Tristan’s attention or validation. If anything, she has a not like other girls' mentality, but whose surprised when her mother and town feed into that. That being said, Rory is incredibly cruel to other women, but it's not for male validation It's because she's judgmental just like Lorelei and Emily, it's a trait they all have in common.

I would agree that Rory does not tear other women down for male validation. She doesn't really care much about male validation in general (the Logan Era might be a slight exception, but Logan is a SPECIFIC guy, and there were other things going into that psychologically for Rory SPECIFICALLY) and would be insulted by the mere idea, haha. In the show, there are boys that like her, because she's the main character of a TV show, but she doesn't usually seek them out. Once she's in a RELATIONSHIP, she does tend to seek approval, but that's because she's a People Pleaser IN GENERAL, not because her boyfriends happen to be Male...

As far as the "not like other girls" thing goes... *sigh* Ok, look. Haha. These conversations are awkward for me, because you probably would have accused ME of being "not like other girls" in highschool. And this RANKLES me, haha! Because I did not put myself in that category. It was the "other girls" who decided I was "not like them," you know? And I guess I wasn't! But WHY should that be shameful?! And my misfit friends and I were probably a bit insufferable about it sometimes when we were teenagers, but that is a defense mechanism. You get told "You're weird" enough times, and you start saying, "Well maybe being Weird is a good thing! Maybe it's BETTER!" And if that's "problematic," shouldn't expecting girls to be "JUST like Other Girls" be problematic too? I just don't think the burden to "support all Women! And don't you dare criticize any of them ever!" should be placed on the girls who got REJECTED by the "other girls!" It just starts sounding like "Conform! Or else you must Hate Women!" "Women" are not all the same! And we shouldn't HAVE to be! I don't think girls should be obligated to like every other girl. Do we expect boys to like every other boy?

confession sunday (I promise this isn’t hate I’ve just been thinking this for a long while): definitely wish tom and z were in agreement on how private they’d like to keep their relationship. with these last few months, tom was basically a zendaya fan page promoting her for dune and challengers (even though she didn’t need it). I think that allowed people to hope for a bday post from her for Tom’s birthday but she’s on a completely different wavelength: unfollowed everyone, not posting for Tom’s bday, not mentioning anything about R&J, etc. it’s no wonder the running joke is tom is in love while z just loves him 🥴 unfortunately it also opens up a discussion about z not showing her true feelings which I definitely feel people bring up in an anti black sort of way to insinuate black women as cold and not as emotionally available. all in all, they present themselves on different levels of how private their relationship actually is.

Thank you for your confession Anon. I will admit, I really don't quite understand your logic about this. Tom and Z are both private in their relationship, and they're also two different people. They may have different social media habits, different likes/dislikes, and just different ways of operating in the world. It doesn't mean that they're not in harmony with how to live their relationship privately. Obviously, as two people who have been in a relationship with each other for years, they talk about EVERYTHING.

Anyway, so your stance on Otis has been pretty steady since the beginning. You god along great with everyone else, cuz like Foxy said you a r e crazy, so they loved you and they didn't put you off at all. You could even have a good time with them when Otis was there, you just didn't really interact with him.

As for Otis' own feelings... well, Otis doesn't like anyone (Except maybe Baby. And he clearly has a soft spot for Mama Firefly too otherwise he would never have come down to dinner in the first movie and brought... whoever was in that jar for her. I cant clearly hear the name.). So he pretty much disliked you from the beginning too. Took one look at you, rolled his eyes and moved on.

Foxy... is a big fan of your distaste for his brother honestly XD Like, you like him more??? Really??? Hell yes. He is fucken better.

And every time that you snap at Otis (Whether it be because he said something rude towards your favourite person, Foxy, or just cuz he was getting on your nerves by... you know... existing- ), Foxy just has this shit-eating grin on his face and he'll keep you safe if Otis decides to lash out and try to hurt you for it. He'll aim a loaded shot gun right at his brother and mean it. And Otis will see that he means it.

(Sure, he may not intend to actually kill Otis like you might enjoy, just wound him, but uh- being shot is gonna hurt like a bitch no matter where the wound is)

It turns him on, too. Like goddamn- the moment you grit your teeth and growl or even spit at Otis- Foxy feels himself getting as hard as rock. The first few times this happens, he doesn't both you about it. He's a grown man, he can handle this. And by 'handle this', i do not mean jerk off. Foxy thinks your craziness is amusing and adorable, and he's so chuffed that the one you're crazy for is him.

You're also super affectionate with Foxy when Otis is around. I mean, you're normally affectionate with Foxy (How could you not be?? Look at him! Tell me you don't wanna give him kisses and hug him) because he's great, but it definitely hits different when Otis' (self imposed) lonely ass is around to see it. No one wants worship him, do they?? Nope.

Like, you're all over him like some kind of obsessed love-struck freak (And, again, who could blame you? look at him-). Running your hands up his sides or over his chest (Dipping under his shirts sometimes), your lips on is jaw or giving him a very deep very obscene tongue-kiss, sitting sideways his lap so you can still see him and have intimate whisper-little talks with him (And kicking Otis if you're close enough 😅😅), sucking slow and wet hickeys into his neck while he watches his old movies, etc.

Again- Foxy does not mind at all 😂😅😅 He loves it actually. He doesn't move to stop you at all. In fact, if he brings Otis around you (Which he loves to do on purpose, because he loves to see how protective and loving you get about him when you see Otis with him) he will apologise. Like 'Sorry, sweetheart... couldn't get a sitter on such short notice. Its not my fault y'cant schedule your booty calls better, sweet thing... he'll jack off in the bushes or something.'.

You are totally willing to brawl with Otis if you it comes to it!! If he keeps insulting Foxy, or you, or just reach your limit- you have lunged at him before and Foxy has had to catch you, throw you over his shoulder and walk off like 'nope you, crazy pants, are the best fuck i've had in a while; you're not gettin' yourself killed that easy on my watch'.

Otis... Otis is not much more disturbed or pissed by your attitudes towards him then he is by everyone else's annoying little Things that he hates. He's not bothered, basically (Cuz uh, being annoyed and cranky are his default settings), and that pisses you off more.

I just decided to ramble a bit about my sexuality hcs, ships etc about Wesker.

(I never thought I'd make so many text posts)

These are not going to be extremely precise analyses and will be influenced by my personal wishes and hopes. If I've written something that goes absolutely against the canon feel free to inform me.

It may become a bit uncomfortable since I wanna address some serious topics.

And it'll be too long again.

1. General headcanons

Personally I see him on the aroace spectrum and/or as pansexual. He's not easily romantically or sexually interested in someone. I'd even say it happens almost never. He may be able to sleep with people he isn't into (maybe to manipulate them) but rarely does so (I also don't think he slept with Excella like some do, she clearly wanted it but he was able to manipulate her without sex). To be into someone this person needs something that intrigues or excites Wesker e.g. their intelligence, willpower, physical combat skills etc. But I don't think he would care much about the gender of his partner. He probably has more experience with women (e.g. he says in the OG RE1 that "he's not used to escort men") but is also open for men. As far I am aware his VAs Richard Waugh (a) and DC Douglas (b) said that he's not gender specific (a) and probably wouldn't limit himself (b) to one gender.

Either way I see him as queer.

2. My ships

As you see in my reblogs I ship him and William Birkin. He was Weskers only real friend whom he admired and trusted. That's a really big thing for Wesker so I like the hc that there was more than friendship between them and I would love to see them interacting more and learn more about their shared past.

The only other ship I like with Wesker is himxChris Redfield even tho it's kinda problematic. I like the STARS version of them where Chris looked up to Wesker who was fond and proud of him (but probably doesn't want to have feelings like this since he knows he will betray them at one point). I also kinda like the hc that Wesker maybe wanted Chris (and perhaps Jill) to join him if they hadn't make fun of his tyrant. Since I kinda like enemies to lovers and complex relationships like that I also enjoy post RE1 Chrisker. I'd love if it's not sheer hate between them but more like a mix of disappointed expectations, obsession and that they need eachother and the secret wish to have eachother on their side.

I am not the biggest fan of huge age gaps so Chris and Wesker having a difference of 15 years is something I am not too happy about. So early 20s is the lowest age I'd accept (like Jake's mother was).

3. My hopes and wishes

As I said I don't like huge age gaps so I dislike the ships WeskerxRebecca and WeskerxClaire. Rebecca was 18 und Claire 19 when they met Wesker and they are way too young for him. Because of that I really hope that Wesker isn't attracted to Rebecca. That would be a no-go even tho it's fictional and it'd destroy Wesker as a character for me. So I really hope Capcom won't make him someone who absolutely does not care about age to the extent where it's becoming creepy.

(that isn't meant to offend those who like these ships, it's just my personal opinion)

I also came across people claiming that he may be a r@pist (for e.g. controlling Jill in RE5). That's another case of yeah he is absolutely evil but that does not mean that he has every evil trait or crime committed. I am pretty sure he didn't do anything sexual to Jill (who had the control device on their chest not because Wesker is a pervert but because the devs wanted more fanservice). I don't think Capcom would make a important character like Wesker (who you can also play as) a r@pist (unlike Irons who was a really hateable side character who was hated even by Wesker)

So my beautiful trolls have apparently turned to Moonkitti’s latest shipping judging video as a reason for why I’m a bad person for liking Squirrelcrow.

I mean I already knew she didn’t like it so I still don’t care. And her assessment was FAR more respectful and grounded then a lot of other fans I’ve seen who dislike it, even if it basically relies on the whole “judge solely on canon” and “I have negative perceptions of one particular character” which are both points I’ve already stated I disagree with and explained why.

But at the end of the day, whether Moonkitti politely disagrees with a ship you like, or hates it to the moon and back, I can’t see any situation where I would feel legit defensive about it. I’m a fan of Moonkitti’s, I love her videos and her humour, and there have been many times I’ve agreed with her opinions (her Bramblestar is worse video belongs in the hall of fame) but in the end she’s just another Warriors fan whose opinion is just as valid as anyone else’s.

Moonkitti doesn’t like Squirrelcrow… so does everyone else, who cares?

It’s just like she says AT THE START OF SAID VIDEO (Christ do these trolls just listen when they want ammo) there’s nothing wrong with disagreeing about Warrior Cats shipping because it’s… “Warrior cats shipping”! 😅 sums up how silly this discourse is in one sentence honestly!

Hey my Tumblr Peeps😁I have recently decided to write a fanfic with Sanemi as a starring character by himself😃👍While I have written about him recently, however I have written him in a multifandom head cannon(?) fanfic (Needless to say about that part😅), however I do have an idea (or so) on how to write about Sanemi and on how to go through with the idea(s) that I have for another fanfic (which is this fanfic in this post) or more, and it did caught my attention that there are people who like him, so he's 1 of the characters I will write about now💡🤔😃👍

☠️That Night In The Dark Forest☠️(Sanemi Shinazugawa x Female Reader)

Genres: Enemies To Lovers (Warning ⚠️ Mentions of Murder (killing), Language, Violence, and depending on the reader's imagination.

Eversince you became a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, you have always disliked a particular Hashira, if not full blown hate. And his name is Sanemi Shinazugawa. The reason why you have refused to get along with Sanemi is, because (the reason for not getting along with Sanemi is up to the reader's imagination), and no matter what he tells you, even if it's his explanation that pertains your reason why you try keep away from him, you would still try to prevent yourself from talking to him, as much as possible.

One day you found out you were assigned to a mission to kill a "supposedly strong and powerful demon", which you ended up being forced to work with Sanemi for this particular mission that was assigned to both you and Sanemi. It really really made your blood boil to find out you had to work with him. You felt like, if you had your way you wouldn't even work with him, at all.

Later that night you reluctantly walked with Sanemi inside a dark forest, considering that this demon seems to have the guts to leave the forest and forced (his/her/their) victims to go in that forest with (him/her/them). While you were reluctantly walking inside the forest with him, he then said, "Hey, (Female Reader Name)... I'm not expecting you to forgive me and in a way I don't blame you for not being keen on being on this mission with me... It's just that my question for you is... When are you going to get over (the reason for not getting along with Sanemi is up to the reader's imagination)? Do I really annoy you that much, princess?". You then cringed about what he said, so you tried not to look at him, as you replied, "First of all, I'm not your damn princess! Second for someone who isn't expecting for forgiveness and doesn't blame me for not wanting to see your face, you have the nerve to ask me when I'm going to get over my reason why I can't get along with you! Third just from the sight of you makes my blood boil and if I had my way I wouldn't even be on this mission with you! Why in the hell did you call me princess and why ask me when I'm going to get over my reason I don't like you, Mr. Wind Hashira?!".

"You may wish that our feelings towards eachother are mutual, especially to the point where my blood boils from being around you, however the dislikes aren't mutual, sweetheart! And it's my idea to get you to go on a demon killing mission with me without any choice to, because despite of knowing how you felt the way you do about me, my feelings towards you are much different! And why did I fucken do this to you?! It's because I like you alot whole lot! You may think you will never like me, however I know you will enjoy my company one day!", Sanemi confessed with an angry looking smirk on his face. "Don't get cocky with me! Just because you're the reason why I have to deal with you on this mission doesn't mean anything! After this mission, I will makesure I won't have to be obligated to go on any missions with you again! You're so fucken, full of yourself, Sanemi!", you replied again, only this time showing a very angry and scornful expression on your face. The next thing that happened you felt an unexpected kick you couldn't see nor feel coming.

You then got up to notice Sanemi's expression on his face changed, then you noticed the demon (who could have possibly kicked you) is the reason why his expression changed. The demon then introduced (him/her/themself) as the demon said, "Hello... I am (demon name up to the reader's imagination)... I am the demon you must be looking for! I am also the bat demon! You must be demon slayers... I have a feeling that one of you seemed to look familiar...", as ((s)he/they), looked at you, as you became frightened for the first time in a long time. As the demon walked towards you, the demon then taunted, "You looked like scared little girl, I spared years ago... Were you that same little girl, who had a family that I killed right in front of you? If I'm correct you were the one I threatened! I sensed from your presence that you were that same girl from all those years ago", before you tried attacking (him/her/them) with your demon slayer sword, as the demon then manages to evade your attempted attack.

The next thing the bat demon did was hit you to the point you ended up on the ground quickly, as ((s)he/they continued, "I thought, I made myself clear, years ago... I warned you that, if I ever see your face and sense your presence again, I will hunt you down... Now that I made myself clear, I might as well end you!", as the bat demon then, stomped on your ankles for (his/her/their) plan to feast on you. Before the bat demon could even start feasting on you, Sanemi used his demon slayer sword to stop (him/her/them) from being able to harm you any further. "So, you must be that sneaky prick who likes to take your victims into the forest and feasting on them! I noticed you wanted to torture those you traumatized in the past to fucken finished them off! Her blood isn't rare! Since my blood is rare, why don't you try fighting me instead of traumatizing and torchering her to death!", Sanemi snapped. The bat demon laughed about how Sanemi snapped, because of stuff ((s)he/they) were doing at your expense, so the bat demon agreed to fight him.

As much as you didn't like Sanemi to begin with, for the first time ever you were frightened for him for the first time ever. For what the bat demon did to your family, you had decided to pursue being a demon slayer years ago. From watching Sanemi and the bat demon fight eachother, all you feel is helpless and you began to wonder if all that training and hard work you put in to become a strong demon slayer was all in vain. Minutes later, Sanemi has found an opening (up to the reader's imagination on how Sanemi manged to find an opening), which lead to him decapitating the bat demon's head off. The bat demon then realized the mistake ((s)he/they) made that lead to (his/her/their) demise, as Sanemi chopped the bat demon's head off quickly.

Sanemi then walked up to you, then said, "I can tell from your expressions that you were worried about me... And if you dare blame yourself for what happened to your family, blame yourself for what happened earlier and criticize yourself for what happened in that forest earlier, I'm going to be very angry with you! I killed the bat demon off, so it's over now... We can go home now... Just please don't give up on yourself!", before proceeding to carry you in his arms on your from the forest and back to the demon slayer corps, which he still carried you until he found a bed for you to rest inside the butterfly mansion, until your ankles heal. Sanemi visited you in the butterfly mansion every day to check on you, until your ankles heal. The day that your ankles heal you apologized to Sanemi, because you thought you treated him horrible, so he decided to kiss you, before he assured you, "Don't worry about apologizing to me, (Female Reader Name)... Things will be better now, since you're still alive and the bat demon is no longer around... Let's just make our relationship official... I knew you would be able to bring yourself to like me now...". Just when you were about to reply, he grinned at you, as he then proceeded to kiss you, again. Eversince that day, you have been in a relationship with Sanemi, which surprised alot of the members of the demon slayer corps, considering it was well known you didn't like him. Less than a year later, you became Sanemi's wife and he became your husband.

how are you feeling about the upcoming season 2? are you looking forward to it? i always think of that post you made saying that whenever i miss the show i'm really just missing alicent. i'd like to enjoy the show and i'd like to see more of alicent, but i can't feel much more than dread because i don't have any faith that they will treat alicent in a fair way. i really appreciate having mutuals like you who see how impressionable the audience is against alicent and how much more forgiveness the narrative has for its men than its women (esp green women)

i'm invested in alicent. because despite the writers' approach, the intentional/unintentional, i failed to hate alicent, or even feel sorry for her in the the way some sanctimonious viewers do, full of cold and distant pity which enables no real empathy or understanding. i became invested in alicent, and i loved her.

but at the same time - no. she's not the only reason, but she is a big one. i dread the way they're going to approach her in s2 because it's a good chance its not going to be fair, or at least they're not going to be fair if rhaenyra or team black looks bad in the process.

like one of the reasons i'm not looking forward to it is because of alicent deciding to crown aegon because it was "viserys' wishes". because of this i know there are people hoping that later when rhaenyra holds the capital she'll tell alicent that he meant something else entirely different. and the cynic in me would be like why would anyone believe that anyway? honestly it would look like rhaenyra attempting some form of legitimacy. but by then why should alicent care? so viserys believed in a prophecy. so did his descendant rhaegar targaryen and he ruined so many lives just like viserys, including a 14-16 year old girl while he was at it!

just because they believed in prophecies doesn't mean they were right or interpreted it correctly. doesnt give them the right to play with other people's lives like that.

another reason why i dislike it is that the change took away a lot of the complexities that came with the green coup. i don't have a problem acknowledging the sexism that plays a factor. but alicent is also someone who long before she was forced to accept the realities of her children supported rhaenyra's claim and who told rhaenys targaryen she should have been queen. maybe one can say she was just trying to soften rhaenys and maybe that was partly influencing her but at the same time honestly she didn't HAVE to say it. like she could have just told rhaenys the cold facts of the situation and left it at that.

but there are people in this universe who don't think a woman should rule even if she is the undeniable rightful heir and will go for a male option even if his claim is so weak it's a joke. like the male cousins who tried to contest jeyne arryn's rule for example even though she was her father's only surviving child. alicent isn't like that. but she also isn't going to ignore her son's rights which is just catelyn stark coded aka most medieval noble women. the thing about book alicent for example when people call her ambitious is that alicent wasn't really asking for anything more? the expectation for most noble women outside of dorne (and even in dorne there are still some houses where sons inherit before daughters)!) is that their firstborn sons will inherit their father's lands/castles. i remember reading a while ago someone on here saying alicent should have been content with her children being princes/princesses because if she married into another house they wouldn't be royal. and that irked me (not the person who said it) because i would take this take more seriously if viserys organised strong matches for them. but of course he didn't because of a) targaryen blood purity and b) subconsciously to prevent alicent building a cause but in that case maybe viserys shouldn't have bloody remarried! it's that simple. but then again this is the same man who didn't see the holes in the jace-helaena betrothal so who knows.

so yes ultimately alicent did "usurp" rhaenyra partly because of sexist notions (sons v daughters) but at the same time rhaenyra's inheritance exists on the whims of a man! i just can't help but think rhaenyra might have been more interesting in a story where she decided to challenge aegon's claim simply because she was older and wanted to be queen, maybe arguing that just as aegon the conqueror took the realm with dragons she can take the iron throne because she has more than the green faction/her brother.

and going back to alicent she defies the wishes of said man for her children! viserys is/was her husband so she should obey his will but instead she will crown aegon anyway and defy her husband's wishes. people lose out on that because they're too busy being pissed about rhaenyra.

Personality- So I'm autistic, have trouble with certain social queues and expressing emotions. It actually caused a lot of problems growing up but I've gotten better about it now. I'm still really blunt at times and have been told my resting face looks really sad/upset 😅. I'm an optimistic realist, and generally difficult to upset. I cry when I get mad because I never learned to express being angry in a healthy way. I try to be sweet with people I'm familiar with, like making jokes and complimenting people, but I can be pretty mean/cold to people I don't like. I'm a writer, and an auditory learner, so I've always been told I'm an amazing listener. Which I do love listening to people, but I hate interrupting so I usually go entire conversations without saying much even if I have something to say- because I won't interject and by the time I get a word in the subject has changed. I'm a fast learner academically and like to think I'm open minded. Arguments annoy me, but I'm not above admitting I'm wrong. I am very passionate about the things I like, as well as morality based subjects. I also go somewhat nonverbal when I get overstimulated which happens mostly when I'm around a lot of people.

-Storms are my favorite weather

Fun fact: I have photic sneeze reflex which means when my pupils dilate really fast due to a light change (usually going from inside to outside) it makes me sneeze!

Race: I'm a human obviously but I think I'd be a half elf (maybe a drow half elf even, just cause I don't prefer sunshine) in faerun just cause my ears are kinda pointy. I have connected earlobes so it makes them look somewhat more elfy.

Class: Probably an abjuration or conjuration wizard. Sorcerer would be cool but they're charisma based and I'm not very charismatic

Alignment: Lawful good? Or maybe just chaotic good I'm not sure, cause the law isn't always right funnily enough

Halsin is one with nature, so he enjoys all animals and people no matter what.

He finds your reserved nature interesting. As you are the leader of your misfits, your timidity doesn't quite match your fearless leadership of lives.

He struggled to determine if you were sad or if your face was just reading sad.

Halsin is just as awkward himself. Though he has lived for hundreds of years, it is hard to keep up with all the changes that come with that.

When he started developing feelings for you, he was very timid about expressing them. Though love is natural and part of nature, he didn't want to frighten you.

When he found you crying one day because a villager upset you, he was as wild as a bear at that moment.

He stayed back to comfort you but gave a piece of his mind to spare you the argument when you were elsewhere.

Halsin tries hard to help keep the peace among the others, especially after seeing you get overwhelmed by a fight that broke out between La'zel and Shadowheart.

When he confesses to you, he rambles. Because you don't say anything, he thinks you now hate him, so he rambles more. Once he lets you get a say-in and you confess back, he's the happiest ever.

You had been tending to the animals near the camp. Though you were soon to leave this area and venture further through Faerun, you wanted to make sure the little friends you made would be okay. You heard giant footsteps approaching behind you as you doled out nuts, berries, and some dried meats for the creatures. Turning gently so as not to frighten away the creatures, you find Halsin also helping tend to the animals.

His love and care for the world around him was so sweet to you. He was a fantastic man who flawlessly met your and the group's needs. Sometimes, you wondered about letting him lead as the new group's leader. Halsin had already turned that notion down since you were more than capable in his eyes.

Once the creatures were tended, Halsin walked up to you. He gently placed some fallen hair back in its intended spot before gently cupping your face. He was always so warm and protective, which helped put you at ease through this whole ordeal with the mind flayers. Nuzzling into his hand and smiling up at him, Halsin gently placed a kiss on your forehead. You two embraced this soft moment before the next battle took place.

Charlie is the embodiment of chaotic goodness. She just wants to help everyone and make the world a better place.

She loves animals, people, and really everything. If she could express her happiness and love any better, she would.

She was taken aback by how reserved you were when you came to the hotel. Usually, people in hell were brazen.

As she got to know you, she enjoyed the wisdom you offered.

She did everything to put a smile on your face, mostly because she enjoyed your happiness and because she couldn't tell when you were sad or just thinking.

She goes full momma demon mode when someone upsets you, with no hesitation the claws are barred.

She tries really hard to be a listener for you instead of you listening to her. Though Charlie tends to ramble, especially about her ideas, she always wants to hear your input.

When there is violence or issues in the hotel, she makes sure you are first safe and far away. Once things have calmed down, she will come and get you.

She didn't really confess to you. One day, you two were friends, and the next, she was talking to you about being in a relationship.

Charlie had been diligently working at her desk on her next big plan to rehabilitate sinners. While she was working away, you had taken refuge on her bed, writing in your journal. You enjoyed the monotony of your growing relationship, where even if you two weren't actively doing the same thing, you still chose each other. As you got to the climax of your story, a frustrated groan was heard next to you.

Turning your attention to the princess, you noticed she had scrapped another idea of hers. Sitting up, you slowly made your way over to her to see what seemed to be causing the hiccup in her mental process. Charlie was full of amazing ideas; just some were far harder to attain than others, and you both knew that. So sometimes, just offering your own insights helped her reimagine an idea she was having.

Taking your spot next to her, you noticed that instead of working on sinners like you thought, she was working on your next birthday. You laughed gently at her, causing her to snap to her senses and look over at you. Knowing she had been caught, she gave up and let you look at what she had been working on. You smiled and gently took Charleis's hand in yours, "You know I would be happy with just spending the day lounging around with you, right?" This was enough to spread a giant smile across the princess of Hell's face.

(The new hotel had been built, and Charlie was eager to welcome new sinners. However, no one showed up the first day, making her sad.)

Y/N: Charlie, it's okay. I am sure there will be some tomorrow or the next day.

Charlie: But how will we beat heaven if no one gets rehabilitated.

Y/N: We can't force people to stay; we need them to come on their own.

Charlie: but I made cupcakes.

Y/N: How about I eat one with you?

Charlie: ( sniffles ) Okay.

(I had this in my head for a while now and had to draw it out or I’d go mad if I didn’t!😅)

Tallest Miyuki was in the middle of talking with her wardrobe staff. They were showing her a few selections of silkwear and pictures of her next body armor. Miyuki is feeling picky today and had been flipping through one clothing to the next. Her mood has been sour lately and it’s because more than one thing that’s been on her mind. First: not being allowed to be with the Irken she loves. Second: loosing her sworm. Third: Only getting to eat a certain amount of food. Her waist is not getting any smaller and people have been talking about it.

“Uugh! What now?!”

Miyuki felt her pak buzzing and it can only mean one thing. A control brain his hailing her, and she knows which one. She got up from her lounge couch, dismissed her drones and then leave her chambers to reach to room where the green control brain is awaiting her arrival. Miyuki, already knows this is going to be a an discussion about another one of her foolish antics, if she can remember whatever is was.

“Greetings, material brain. You wanted to speak with me….again?” She said without a hint of annoyance. The green control brain made a robotic noise. The screen in the front static before a hologram figure appears in Irken form. Kii stands before Miyuki, with her materialize orange wardrobe and a cape to add a bit of flow to it. She looked as radiant as the day she was in her younger years.

“Tallest Miyuki, what we’re you thinking? Leading that soldier on like that, with your lovey-dovey nonsense?” Kii said. Hovering towards Miyuki. Staring her down with those green, judgmental eyes of hers.

“I don’t understand….what did I do wrong?”

“I’m talking about that little talk you had with that cadet, Red! You dult!” Kii spat.

How the heck did she find out about that? Miyuki was in her private chambers, where no telepathic link to the control brains can reach her. Surely Red did not say anything about this after their talk, right? Miyuki looked up at the material brain. The disappointment she was giving her. Or was that disgust?

“Cadet Red needed a little comfort and a nudge in the right direction he wants to be. He shared his pain with me and I did the same with him.” Miyuki told her. Feeling a little anxious with the way Kii is circling around her like a defenseless prey.

“You’re encouraging him to embrace attachments to another drone. Have you learned nothing from our discussion of Spork?”

That was a low blow to Miyuki’s chest. Why bring up something that will bring nothing but heartache? The green control brain stopped moving around and stood in front of Miyuki.

“Spork’s situation is different from cadet Reds. I don’t get why you’re so against drones falling in love? Surely you felt love once, my maternal grace.” Miyuki said. Kii turned away from her.

“Love….I had no need for such a weak emotion. I had many sires, but no male was good enough to satisfy me. I hated them all and wished for their demise. They did not give me what I want but I’ve seen what they’ve done to our females, Miyuki. Kii shutters.

“pfft but aren’t you now connected to two males?” Miyuki smirked, hand on her hip. Why would Kii say she hates males if she allowed herself to be linked with two other former bodied tallest? Did they have anything to do with why she’s so angry at the world?

“Sox and Hitz? We have history together. One I wish not to speak of. They are part of the problem but I have always have a dislike of males in general. This empire relies on pure strength and intelligent alone. There is no room for romance and petty little feelings. I did what I can to make sure OUR gender stays relevant to this day! You have no idea what these men have done to us in my time. I don’t expect you to understand. You’re too young. Kii told her. Clenching her fingers in reminder of an incident in her past. Miyuki’s eye twitch.

“Forgive me for being so blunt but you’ve completely lost your mind. I have lead this empire forward to a bright future. You’ve seen the massive, right? With it we can make our travels for conquest more efficient than ever. It shouldn’t matter what our drones do with each other as long as they contribute to our goal.”

Miyuki went on and on. Countering the mother brain’s criticism of her. But the further she speaks, the more angrier the green control brain was getting. Kii hovered over to her.

*SLAP!!*

Miyuki eyes widen in shock as she touched her left cheek. Kii is in hologram form but that sting from that slap felt all too real. Kii was fuming with anger. “NEVER HAVE I MET SUCH INSOLENCE FROM ONE OF MY OWN FEMALES! You do NOT get to speak to me as if I am a mere smeet, Miyuki.” Kii snapped.

“I’m sorry…..I didn’t realize I was venting out on you, my grace. I just didn’t think it should be a problem for me or any other female to love….”

Kii growled. She felt the urge to slap this woman again but regain herself. “I told you before, during our last conversation that I will not have you ruin the work I put into making our females worth more than what they are. You remind me of another female tallest I’ve once had measured. But even she did not talk to me with such disrespect! How dare you?!”

“But I was just trying to-“

Kii clamped her hand over Miyuki’s mouth. “Do not interrupt me! You were supposed to be the example for all Irken females. A symbol that shows WE can carry ourselves with pride and dignity. That we let NO fucking male determine what we should be and how we should live.”

Kii removed her hand and hovered back a little. Miyuki looked at her with wide eyes. “Stars….who hurt you?” She said.

“Men hurt me. Just like they will do to you if you don’t sharpen up on them. Don’t think I don’t know what you did behind my back. I may not reach you in your chambers, but I do have drones who will watch and listen to everything you do, Miyuki. You cannot hide behind my blind spot. Can’t you see I’m trying to save us? A man’s world has brought nothing but tyranny and injustice.” Kii said. She turned around to get ready to return to her own duties. Miyuki had one more thing to say.

“Material brain? All I ever wanted is to make you proud of me. Not just as a female but a leader who wants to make a difference in our world. From our own history, we’ve been through so much already. I only wished you’ve seen the better side of our accomplishments and not dwell in the bad parts that lead the Irken empire to where it is today. Hardship-“

“Do not speak to me about hardships, Miyuki. I’ve seen them. I LIVED through the ones that brought me up and broke me down! You know NOTHING about real hardship until you put yourself on the line of it. Kii’s hologram figure phases out for a few seconds. Her system still needs to be checked upon, so she needs to go.

“From now on, I don’t want you getting close to that Spork soldier. Only when he is needed for important work or used as your escort. I do not want to see any of our females taking after you and your sneaky performance with a male. Disgusting! You may go now, Miyuki. Hail the maintenance for me. I need a system repair.”

“As you wish, maternal brain….” Miyuki bowed her head respectfully. Then turned away to leave the chamber the same time Kii’s hologram figure disappears. This talk has left the tallest feeling conflicted and a bit hurt. Miyuki touched her left cheek, where the green control brain has slapped her. It still feels tender, and it made her rethink her actions, and hold her tongue the next time she is summoned by the control brains. Miyuki said nothing to her drones when they saw her. Then she returned to her chambers to reflect.

Tighnari hated it.

Seeing Cyno talking to Nilou, looking all excited. No, Tighnari really didn’t like that.

It’s not like he wasn’t happy that Cyno had found somebody who was willing to listen to his hours of rambling about TCG with actual and genuine interest. Moreover, he was jealous that unhappy that Cyno would talk to Nilou more than with him now.

Jealousy was an awful feeling. Especially since Nilou was so sweet and didn’t deserve to get the cold shoulder from the raven haired fox now.

A sigh heaved past Tighnari’s lips as he watched Cyno and Nilou chat so lively from afar. He wished that would be him instead of Nilou. It was selfish, but really, he couldn’t help it. Tighnari craved the general’s full and undivided attention more than anything for such a long time now. Yet, he never found a way to actually tell Cyno.

Cyno’s and Nilou’s chat went on for a long time. So long, that it had been evening once they finished. Nilou bid her goodbyes to Cyno, finally giving the fox a chance to talk to his best friend alone.

‘Deep breathes’ , Tighnari thought to himself. There was no reason to be nervous. He would just tell Cyno how he felt about him spending more time with the dancer instead of him, especially since Tighnari only came to Sumeru City to see Cyno!

“Cyno!” Tighnari approached the general as Cyno turned to face him. Those red eyes, the rosy lips… the fox struggled a lot not to stare intensely at the man’s beauty.

“Tighnari. What a surprise to see you here”

A surprise, huh? Tighnari wasn’t sure if he liked the way those words sounded in Cyno’s mouth. He had hoped Cyno would be a bit more happy to see him, a bit more happy that Tighnari had found time for him.

“Aha… Yeah… So, how was your day?” Be casual, play it casual.

“I spend the afternoon playing TCG with Nilou. Did you know that she plays really well?”

Maybe he was being selfish. Maybe, just maybe, this was his own egoism bubbling up in Tighnari. But he couldn’t stand it. He just couldn’t. Not when Cyno would talk about her in such an excited and interested manner.

He hated it. He hated it. He hated it.

He. Hated. It.

He hated that digusting feeling in his chest. That painful feeling in his heart at the thought that Cyno was interested in Nilou.

“Stop!” Tighnari said without thinking. Cyno fell silent, the smile disappearing off his face and his expression turning into one of confusion.

“I…”

The words were stuck in the fox’s throat. He had so much he wanted to say and yet he could not force those words to leave his mouth.

‘Don’t you see? You don’t love her’

‘What about me?’

He was selfish and mean. Tighnari knew that. And yet… yet he couldn’t bring himself to say all those nice things he wanted to say to Cyno. Because his mind was clouded with jealousy and dislike for the dancer. Though, deep inside the forest watcher knew that Nilou had done nothing but be a good friend for Cyno.

“I don’t want to be friends, Cyno” Those words left Tighnari’s mouth out of nowhere. He didn’t realise what he had said and how he had said it until he looked at Cyno’s shocked and hurt face.

What had he done?

Cyno furrowed his brows, lowered his head to look at the ground and grit his teeth.

“I see…”

Tighnari wanted to take those words back, wanted to explain himself. He wanted to move when he saw the white hair sway past him. He wanted to yell out that it was not what he meant, not like that. But the fox couldn’t move. It’s almost as if his own words have shocked him more than they have hurt and shocked Cyno.

When Tighnari finally snapped out of it, Cyno was nowhere to be seen.

His heart ached.

Talking to Cyno was impossible after that. He was always ‘busy’, though Tighnari already felt as if that was a bold excuse not to talk to him. And when Cyno would hanf with Nilou, Tighnari wouldn’t dare approach them.

But he wanted to make things right. He wanted things to be normal again and those feelings inside him - they were killing him. Guilt, worry but also jealousy. Jealousy for the people that were to spend time with Cyno while Tighnari had ruined what they had a mere week ago.

If talking wouldn’t work, maybe writing would. Tighnari writes all the time, keeping in contact with his former teacher and with Cyno when the fox is in Gandharva.

Leaving Sumeru City, Tighnari was thinking of the words he wanted to truly tell Cyno that day. It was partially true, he didn’t want to be friends anymore, he wanted something more with the general. A rejection of Cyno would be a lot easier to handle than not being Cyno’s friend anymore.

The same evening he arrived back in Gandharva Ville, Tighnari sat down at his desk. He had not told Collei about their fallout, Cyno was already like a farther to Collei and it would only break the forest rangers heart if he were to tell her what he said to Cyno.

The pen sat down onto the paper but all the words had left Tighnari’s mind.

Why was writing a letter like this so much harder than those he usually wrote?

After the umpteenth try of finding a formal way to start the letter, Tighnari looked over at the dozens of letters he and Cyno had exchanged over the course of the past few years.

It was then when the fox realised, that he would not need to find a start or proper ending when he was writing down what he felt for Cyno, yet he wanted some kind of structure in his words.

He decided to write alphabetically, finding words to describe his feelings rather accurately with that much vocabulary in his mind.

A for how Amusing and adorable Tighnari secretly finds Cyno’s attempts to lighten the mood with his jokes.

B for how Beguile time is when Tighnari spends his days with the general doing, really, anything.

C for Cyno’s Candid nature. The fox admires the generals boldness and honesty.

He wrote until the late night and once he was done with the letter, he promised himself that he’d give it to Cyno personally.

A few days later and Tighnari found himself in front of the Akademiya once more. He was unusually nervous to talk to Cyno again. A deep breath, another flight at the door of Cyno’s office and he’d knock on the door. Just that Tighnari couldn’t.

He was too nervous to face Cyno like this, with nothing more than a letter.

Thoughts were running through the raven’s mind rapidly. He was so lost in though that despite having those large fennec ears, he had not heard small footsteps approaching him slowly.

The tap on his shoulder brought Tighnari back to reality and he didn’t dare turn around as he feared he had a hunch who was standing behind him.

“Tighnari, you’re in the way.” Cyno spoke calmly. How easy those words came out of his mouth.

It was now or never, wasn’t it?

Slowly, the fox turned his head. Those turqoise eyes were definetely avoiding the pair of red ones that stared at him.

How awkward.

Silence.

None of the uttered a word for now. Cyno was patiently waiting for Tighnari to move, while Tighnari awkwardly tried to composure himself. In the end, all he could do was hold the sheet of paper in front of the general’s face.

With raised brows, Cyno took the letter out of his hand. He read the words written on it, slowly and carefully. Tighnari could practically see the blush spreading on Cyno’s cheeks and red eyes widening at each word.

Was it that bad?

Cyno’s silence was killing Tighnari. He needed a reaction, whether it was negative or positive didn’t matter. And then, when Cyno slowly looked up at him with an expression of utter embarassment and something Tighnari couldn’t quite grasp, the fox heaved a sigh of relief.

“Did you… write this for me?”

A sign. A reaction. And it wasn’t negative, yet.

“Yes. And I meant every word.”

The general stared at Tighnari for a few moments, blinking slowly, unsure what to say or do now. The fox already feared as much – Cyno couldn’t reciprocate his feeling. And that was okay.

“Sorry, I just wanted you to know.” Tighnari started. He was so sure Cyno could never feel the same as him but when he looked at those cherry coloured eyes once more, he almost couldn’t believe it.

Cyno beamed, a smile rested on his usual stoic face, too. Was there something more to it?

Without warning Cyno embarced Tighnari. The hug was tight, yet comfortable. It was definetely something Tighnari had needed.

“You know, a simple ‘I really like you’ would’ve done the job too, right?”

“Maybe… but this is lovely as well isn’t it?”

The smaller man chuckled, nodding his head in agreement.

They didn’t need words exactly to communicate their feeling. The hug was all Tighnari needed to know that Cyno, too, loved his best friend in a way that he couldn’t possibly describe in words coming from his mouth.

5. On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance? soph does not have very high pain tolerance 😭 she impulsively got a tattoo with hua li and it did not go very well...she has certainly decided that tattoo was her first and her last

6. Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? always flight 😭 she's trying to get better at standing up for herself and standing her ground but she hates confrontation and anytime she is under pressure she will just run away 🏃‍♀️

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person? she does come from a big family but they are not close. her parents (edgar and charlotte) aren't at all close with their parents or siblings because of edgar and charlottes nefarious ways... Sophia does have an older brother (henry) who she used to be close with before running away from home, she didn't tell him where she was going but he always had a feeling she went to elowen. soph is overall a huge family person though!

8. What animal represents them best? she would say a fluffy white cat and honestly it makes sense?

9. What is a smell that they dislike? she doesn't like any wood scents, she's much more of a florals and fruity kinda gal

10. Have they broken any bones? nope! she was never a very active kid and spent most of her childhood inside practicing piano and violin

11. How would a stranger likely describe them? I feel like if a stranger sees her their first thought to describe her would just be preppy 😭

12. Are they a night owl or a morning bird? morning bird! she loves waking up bright and early ☀️ which also means she goes to bed really early every night

13. What is a flavor they hate and a flavor they love? she can't stand anything coconut flavored, she loves the smell of it but the taste she just can't get behind. one of her favorite flavors ever tho is watermelon!

14. Do they have any hobbies? photography and fashion! she's very talented with the piano and violin but after being made to play so long by her parents she doesn't have much love for it anymore. she still plays violin from time to time though

15. Boom, surprise birthday party! How do they react to surprises? if someone throws her a surprise birthday party she's crying on the spot 😅 she loves giving and getting surprises!

16. Do they like to wear jewelry? she loooooves jewelry! she wears a lot of gold earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.

17. Do they have neat or messy handwriting? oh her handwriting is perfect for sure! she loves writing in her diary and that thing is so pristine

I'm honestly really bad at describing characters voices but I feel like she's quite soft spoken. she had to take a lot of speech classes a kid to get her sounding 'proper' so I imagine she definitely still has a lot of that! she never swears 🙅‍♀️ as for her accent in general, I feel like she just has a pretty general american accent
