These last three episodes are quite frenetic, so there are almost no scenes were his hands and fingers are visible. Entirely on purpose. But there was this emblematic shot in episode 25, where he has no ring marks.

Very symbolic of what would be his role in The Beyond.

context on drama: it trended on different platforms for being a number of reasons but one of them is because of the intimate scenes that are in it between you and your co-star, park jihoon. this is ateez's reactions when they watch it and see all those different scenes.

HONGJOONG

hongjoong was caught off-guard immediately with the first scene in the FIRST episode

man was SHOOK with how you and your co-star were making out, camera zooming in on you both as you kiss and then panning as jihoon's hands trailed down your body

he was getting flashbacks to when you make-out and he does the exact same things

so of course he ended up imagining himself in the scene with you

what it would be like to shoot something like this with you

by the end of the scene he was completely jealous of your co-star because he wanted to do something like this with you

like the image of you kissing would be burned into his eyelids and he HATED IT

def didn't help how excited you were to watch your drama with him and others

mainly because you knew these scenes were here and when he turned to look at you at some point during the episode

he found you already staring at him, like you were watching his reactions

and he immediately regrets agreeing to watch it with you because he knows you were enjoying watching him suffer like this

so he tried to hide his jealousy at times but he couldn't help but get absorbed into the story of your character

so then by the end of it, he found himself more intrigued than jealous

but we all know he was still jealous at least on the inside

SEONGHWA

when you told seonghwa that this drama would be more mature he thought it meant something in the sense of gore and action

which it had that but he was completely caught off guard with some of more intense scenes

and not to mention the ones where you and your co-star were a little too intimate for him not to feel at least a little jealous

but seonghwa had to remind himself that it was all fake and that you were cuddled up next to him in his bed

he had promised to watch it with you when him and the others finished their tour and as hard as it was to avoid the drama

he managed to do it, completely avoiding any and everything about it

even when the other members watched it, he would ignore them when they talked about

and honestly, the really intimate scenes didn't get to him as much as the softer moments did

when you would caress and hold jihoon close to you or when you would kiss him

and especially during the "high school flashbacks" would get him the most he would feel both jealous AND emotional because of how heartbreaking they were

at one point you would look over to seonghwa tearing up at some of the softer moments

"its just so heartbreaking" he would say when you ask him what was wrong before fulling crying and having you instantly comfort him

YUNHO

he was immediately interested when he seen your drama trending on different social media

what also caught his eye was clips about one scene floating around on tiktok and twitter

a lot of people calling it "the bathroom scene" which only got him more curious

so when he was doing nothing but laying in bed one night after a concert, he remembered how everyone had been going crazy over the scene

and curiosity got the better of him and he watched just that scene

which... probably wasn't greatest idea but it was whatever he told himself

he would watch this 'infamous' scene now and then the rest of it later with one of the others or even with you

so he watched the scene and immediately felt a swing of different emotions

from how turned on he was because of how you looked extremely hot covered in blood and angry

to feeling uneasy when he watched you caress your co-star like how you would him or one of the others

to jealous when it then lead to you and your co-star making out and jihoon basically grinding against you and how you made those sounds that were only reserved for him and your other lovers

and then finally he came to regret the whole thing having let his curiosity get the better of him

and so when he finally sat down and watched it with mingi, he felt all those emotions come at him once more

YEOSANG

if yeosang felt jealous then he was really good at hiding it

he remembers you telling him and others about how this drama was on the more... mature side

which he didn't mind, he knew that it was something you were excited about and it was an opportunity for you career

so why wouldn't he be supportive of it?

annnnnnnnnnnnd then the drama came out and it was the internet exploded

he was seeing how fans were reacting to it and it only made him curious about it

even atiny were asking him about it and what he thought when he would go live

the usual yes and no comments: "watch it! its really good!!" "some scenes are hard to watch ngl..."

and then there were the ones that caught his eye: "you'll get jealous if you watch it."

and then they would say: "y/n and jihoon are too sexy in some of it."

which obviously made him more curious about it and so he decided to watch it

and as he watched he couldn't help but feel something as he watched you and co-star kiss repeatedly, each one getting more and more heated than the last one

so... if kang yeosang was jealous then he was really really good at hiding it

san was excited for you when you told him and others about your new drama

so he was prepared to watch it when it came out because he wanted to be a supportive boyfriend

he remembers asking atiny about the drama during a live right after it was released

a lot of atiny telling him it was good but some scenes were very mature and some just outright telling him not to watch because of those mature things

he was so shocked throughout the entire thing as him and yunho watched

yunho even threatened to turn it off at one point if he kept gasping at every scene

"i can't help it! its just so interesting!" he would say, defending himself

and then the bathroom scene happened and he was FLOORED like he was so shocked by the whole thing

mingi was so invested into the story that he didn't even have time to think about being jealous

however when him and yunho were taking a break between episodes that's when he noticed yunho was getting jealous

and of course mingi used that to tease yunho because the rapper knew how much the dancer was whipped for you

and then after they finished the drama mingi was so heartbroken because it was over

he ended up watching it again by himself at a few months later

and it was during the re-watch that he was noticing things happening in the story and how like a lot of the others, your intimate moments reminded him of you two

but again, mingi wouldn't be jealous because he knew that you loved him and the others

and even with fans shipping you and your co-star, mingi knew that he didn't have to worry about your feelings

WOOYOUNG

despite how he acts most of the time

wooyoung doesn’t get easily jealous

at least in a serious way

he’s confident in his relationship and knows that he has nothing to ever worry about

especially when it comes to you or the others acting in a drama that involves romance

so when he heard about the intimate scenes in your newest drama, wooyoung was immediately interested in it

and so when him and some of the others watched it together one night... to say he wasn't surprised would be a lie

but to say he wasn't turned on by some of the scenes would also be a lie

he thought you looked hot, plain and simple

and watching you show a bunch of different emotions on camera, well... it kind of turned him on

some of the scenes were definitely more intense than what he was expecting

but then when it got intimate or slightly romantic between you and jihoon then that's when it made his stomach do all sort of flips

JONGHO

jongho had heard all about the drama like yunho had

so he was aware of some of the scenes the drama had to offer

but unlike yunho, he didn't watch those specific clips before the whole and instead experienced them all together

and jongho wasn't jealous per say, but he was shocked at some of the scenes

he was honestly glad he decided to watch the drama by himself because he found himself flustered at most if not all the intimate scenes that were shown

just like hongjoong and wooyoung, jongho would also imagine himself in those scenes with you

but not because he was jealous of your co-star

BUT because watching those scenes made him miss you while him and the others were on tour

HOWEVER

seeing how popularly it was and how loved you and jihoon were becoming to the internet

it wasn't the scenes in the drama that would necessarily make him jealous but the interview you and your co-star would do

seeing fans go crazy over the two of you like you were an actual couple... it made him feel weird inside

so you best believe that when he sees you again, you're gonna have the giant teddy bear cuddling up with you

and of course you wouldn't question his sudden need for cuddles and affection, only giving it to him

Gonna take a short break from the internet to do a rewatch of friends and some other movies because this one hit hard.

I first watched Friends at my friend's house, and we watched The One Where Everybody's Late. I don't remember too much of my reactions to that episode, other than that I really liked the awkward sarcastic one. I told my dad when I came home that day that I watched Friends, and he got so excited, and he asked me who my favorite character was. I didn't remember their names at all (especially not Chandler) so I just said "The funny one" and my dad knew.

But I didn't keep watching Friends, because I had other shows to watch. I still knew the general idea (who couldn't), but I didn't have the time or attention span to watch ten seasons of a show.

And then my parents divorced. I was living with my mom, visiting my dad on the weekends, and I needed some comfort.

So I watched the first episode of Friends. Then the second. And before I knew it I'd finished the first three seasons and I was in love with this show.

Now, when I started the series, I knew I was going to like Chandler. He fit the bill for the type of character I gravitated towards perfectly. But something about the stories he was written into, his relatability, his quick wit, and Mathew's truly incredible delivery of each and every line, it all made me fall in love (and my crush certainly didn't help).

And then I watched season four, and the final episode had Chandler and Monica get together.

Up till that moment, I liked Chandler because he was relatable, and that made it easy to laugh at his struggles. I loved him because I could so easily imagine myself making the same mistakes, and using the same quick wit to avoid confronting my flaws.

But in season four, right at the last episode, there was a shift. Chandler's character went from a relatable figure who was unable to find a true sense of happiness, to one who was on the road to a life filled with it.

Soon, I watched Chandler find love with Monica, find peace with his quirks, reconnect with his family, find a fulfilling career, and start a family.

And as I watched this character, who I found so relatable, find himself, I realized that I could do that too.

And that gave me hope.

I wrote a Friends fanfiction (which I won't link because it's 18+), and it was my best work. I got so many of my friends here on tumblr into friends (hey @catboyrichardkarinsky ). I found a new way to connect with my teachers, friends, and even therapists.

All thanks to Friends. All thanks to this awkward, sarcastic, hopeless, hope-filled, character.

One thing that took me so long to do was finish Friends. Not because I was slow in watching it, but because I didn't want to watch that last episode. I didn't want to say goodbye to these characters.

But you have to say goodbye. Because that's how life works, whether someone told you that or not.

So, goodbye Mathew Perry. You and your character changed mine and so many other people's lives, and we will all miss you. You will always be our Friend.

Any new upcoming series with w/w?

Lol, I had a whole answer typed up and almost completed last night, I could only remember a few upcoming shows but added a bunch of ongoing and recent with descriptions and then the post editor hiccuped and removed most of it so I angrily went to sleep instead.

But maybe that was for the best, because this morning a video of upcoming f/f shows in April came out so now I can add a few more.

There's Dead Ringers, that show with Rachel Weisz playing twin gynecologists and since it's a genderbent adaptation of an existing movie we already know it's gonna be super messy. It would be pretty wild for Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies to not have some wlw and luckily it does, the trailer itself reveals a couple. Tiny Beautiful Things, with Kathryn Hahn and Sarah Pidgeon (Leah in The Wilds) playing her younger self, apparently Kathryn Hahn's character's daughter is queer. Slip is a kinda scifi, where a bored wife cheats on her husband and realizes every time she has sex with someone, she wakes up married to them. The show's about her trying to get back to her original life, and there are a series of different husbands, but also a few wives (also, the first "replacement" husband is played by Boorman's actor from Willow!). There are also the upcoming Thai dramas Be Mine, Reverse 4 You, and 23.5, as previously mentioned.

In terms of returning series coming back, there's the Disney cartoon The Owl House, getting its final ep. Single Drunk Female's second season is returning soon. It has a bi lead, and she did have a female love interest but it was pretty temporary compared to the will they/won't she has with the main character male love interest. Her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, also a very main character, is a lesbian, and she's married but her wife's actress is a regular on another show now so I dunno if she'll be back.

Welcome to Eden, a Spanish thriller about people trapped on an island with a cult, ended the first season on a major cliffhanger so it'll be exciting to see what happens now, though it feels like anyone could die so that's a bit nerve-wracking. It has a lot of different kinds of rep, f/f, m/m, trans, one of the gay guys is deaf too and it's a plot point that his boyfriend won't learn sign even though his friends have.

The Epix series From is a pretty well done horror series about people trapped in a town and who get hunted at night, it's more ominous and suspenseful than outright gory. It actually has three wlw, though one is mostly with one guy, the one who's engaged to a woman outside the town seems to be about to start a romance with another guy, and one is a teen who's crushing on the first woman, feels unrequited. I didn't know about any of them when I started, so they're a bonus, the show itself is rather compelling.

As for current shows, The Power (lol, get it, current) started last night on Prime, it's nice that after the misreading of Class of '07, this new show about girls does immediately have a wlw. Gap's already finished but it made such a splash, if you haven't watched, I'll mention it again. The other Thai drama, Show Me Love, is still airing. Fantasy Island is honestly kind of sweet, it feels like one of those '90s shows, episodic, bright colors and optimism, and great guest stars. One of the two leads, I'd say, or at least the second billed main, is queer.

We got our three firefighter shows, 9-1-1 with a solid (now) established relationship, Fire Country, a lesbian character but not much screentime, and of course Station 19, which is honestly winning me back in a huge way with their current storyline (if they land it).

Cop wlw update (why are there so many of them!): NCIS Hawai'i remains super cute, especially when Lucy is on, looks like Ayanna on Law & Order: Organized Crime got herself a new gf with a super hot voice, The Rookie: Feds still has Niecy Nash playing a super likable and bi lead. I couldn't stand the egregious copaganda in FBI: Most Wanted, and like, imagine how bad it'd have to be, when I can still watch all the rest of these shows, but Sheryll's still there, so. Sin Huellas (No Traces) has already finished but gets another mention for being as funny as it was, with a cute, hot couple at the center. Rabbit Hole's just started, but the initial antagonist/probable grudging ally's an FBI lady who within the first 10 minutes of the first ep dropped that she had a wife. Van der Valk has started its third season and though I'm gonna keep hoping Lucienne's INCREDIBLY hot ex from 2x03 returns, Lucienne, second billed, is plenty hot by herself. Ariana Guerra, who played the novitiate in Helstrom, has joined the second season of CSI: Vegas. Her character's bi and has a main character boyfriend but he seems like he'll most likely end up with a different character.

I'm not really going through these in any particular order, except combining the above two types, but let me just blow through the rest of the ongoing shows: the Canadian family comedy Run the Burbs has been quite sweet in how it's written the teen daughter, How I Met Your Father comes across as an old fashioned sitcom, except one of the characters is a lesbian. It's kind of fun in its familiarity and low stakes. I didn't expect to be as drawn into The Watchful Eye as I did, the trailer felt quite soapy and it was, at times, but all the nannies were great, and I ended up quite liking the f/f side couple. It's amazing what actual personalities can do. :o A Million Little Things is winding down its final season and Grace Park's character is engaged to Cameron Esposito's character so it feels pretty endgame at this point.

If you didn't watch or stopped watching Carnival Row because the main m/f relationship seemed so especially trite, you maaaay want to give it another look. I'm not nearly caught up with Bel-Air, but in the first season they wrote Ashley's sexuality really well, especially since she's so young. I'm sure you can't have missed my Perry Mason gifsets by now, but I can only reiterate what a great character Della Street is. One of the kids in Gotham Knights is bi (and her brother is trans!) but I'm not sure it's worth getting invested before cancellation. Unless the CW is only going to keep projects involving the Supernatural trio?

At this point, hoping everyone who's into wlw has at least tried Yellowjackets or is aware enough of it to know they don't want to try it. Las Pelotaris 1926 is a Spanish language historical drama about female athletes playing--well, the sport is basque pelota but if you need a reference point, it's like squash or racquetball. If you haven't yet caught up with RWBY, now would be an okay time. Lastly, I've still never watched any of Riverdale or even Choni clips, but its final season has just started and you know, I gotta respect the longevity of whatever they've been doing with them, however up and down they seem to have been, and perhaps this final season will be an up. From what I've seen on SM, they seem to get endgame soulmatey treatment more than any of the other ships and I can respect that.

Aside from the Thai dramas that might air after April and a few of the other shows that ended their seasons in March (or February in Gap's case), all of these have eps airing this month. After this year of cancellations, I think it's worth enjoying what we can, even as we acknowledge how much lead/main character rep and longevity we're losing. :o

@b17boys mentioned something about my OC, Judy Rybinski, who becomes turret ball gunner for Rosie's Riveters, would ultimately drop in between those German/Russian lines and I SPIRALED and was like - this needs to be written. AND HERE WE ARE!!!!!

I think, in comparison to my other writings, I really wanted to take time to dig into both the characters (Judy and Rosie) along with the surroundings, the general environment and situations and struggle around them and what that means to them individually and together as characters. We take it from Judy's POV - just because her youth and past really plays an important role in her life and how she approaches this situation as whole.

I'm going to take us a bit of a character study of Judy through the beginning/middle of what was Episode 9 of MOTA. Really fleshing out moments and scenarios and developing an even deeper connection of Judy and Rosie as well as simply the one Judy has with herself, along with morals, realizations and aspects of her life that are important to her. I also want to pull at the heartstrings a bit - we come into the first part with a view of Judy just in a straight-up not-fun situation. She's lost, just waking up from being passed out, no clue where she is (nor can really remember), half-remembering her whereabouts along with wondering - where is Rosie?! And I think that's an aspect about this that makes it interesting to write. We see Judy on her own, having to navigate this all. Trying to figure things out and most importantly - stay alive.

BUT -- I couldn't help but then want to make a piece (the 2nd part) where we focus on their reunion together, that being Judy and Rosie, who genuinely just do love each other. And being separated, fearing for their lives and one another's - really brings them closer together and that worry, fear, desperation and wonder really bring forward how much they mean to each other even more so.

And also just because I can imagine Rosie absolutely losing his mind at the thought of not knowing where Judy is and doing everything he can to find her again - and then, finally finding her and it's like everything has fallen into place. Yeah. Lol. I would consider this purely self-indulgent with the heavy-dose of angst/whump/comfort we'll be getting - BUT IT'LL BE WORTH IT!!!!!! SO consider me both excited and absolutely losing my mind!!!!!

Down in North Carolina - you hear my accent?!" she called frantically again, desperate for the rifle to be removed from touching her uniform and for her to get a better idea of where she was and what was going on. "Carolina?" "Yes!" Judy said, going to sit up, but letting out a strangled cry and going to reach for her shoulder instantly - she watched all the rifles uphold, aiming at her again at her quick movements and she couldn't help the tears that welled in her eyes - with the confusion, the pain, the desperation. Between freezing and being confused and in pain enough to make her pass out - if she died out here, she'd be thankful. Anywhere was better than this snow-capped and war-torn field.

Safe to say Judy Rybinski is nothing but a smol bean who simply needs to be back home, snuggled up with a warm mug of tea and FAR from here. But -- she's got this so, I have no worries for her!!! The early spring sun already hung low in the sky as you let your eyes roam around your utterly messy bedroom.

Although you and your boyfriend came rather far with decluttering your depression-ridden flat, the sight in front of you wasn't exactly raising the spirits. Your entire nightstand was cramped with more or less empty coffee mugs, chocolate wrappers scattered in between. The bed messy from sleepless tossing and turning.

"Well, here we go.." You sighed under your breath, trying your best to remind yourself that this room posed the last lap to finish this race against yourself, against your last depressive episode that, without a doubt, hit hard.

With slow steps, you walked towards the edge of your bed. The crumpled sheets in front of your body emitting an unwelcoming, almost distressing atmosphere. While you were eyeing your twisted duvets, you remembered just how damn painful it was to simply get out of bed today. With each morning passing it gradually grew into more of a struggle over the past weeks and if it hadn't been for Ed's you were certain that you wouldn't have left it at all today.

With a stern knock on your door he not exactly forced you but lovingly pushed you to eventually get up. To wipe your tangled, admittedly greasy hair out of your sleep deprived, bloodshot eyes and stand up on your feet.

The feeling of the frizzy, grey carpet floor underneath your toes was almost overstimulating to your sore senses. Yet the two of you worked up to a squeaky clean bathroom and a tidy kitchen. Well, to be fair most of that had been Eddie, who rushed relentlessly between dirty dishes and the bin.

The two of you had been together for a while now and it certainly wasn't the first episode of yours he witnessed. Nonetheless, you felt guilty for having him help with your problems again. To you it felt like this shouldn't be his burden to carry, quite literally not his mess to clean up.

And yet you couldn't stand a chance to simply let him help.

Inhaling another deep breath, you grabbed the duvet, pulled the corners towards you and folded it , pressing the edge down nice and neatly. Next up the the pillows. Those two sad piles were in desperate need of a good shake.

After a faint rush of excitement over having your bed made for the first time in a good while, that gnarly voice from the far back of your head doubled down on you. Nagging you how none of that meant anything because it would be just another mess to sort out tomorrow again.

You felt it weighing you down physically and you couldn't help yourself but to sink down, losing your composure as you faced the still chaotic nightstand of yours. So many cups that would require more than one trip to the sink that Ed's had cleaned so eagerly hours ago.

"No, No, NO!" You tried to push the voice back to where it came from, reaching out to grab the first cup.

Your fingers enclosed it tightly and you quickly pulled it close to you as if it was about the slip from your grip if you didn't pay attention enough.

"I'm really proud of you, pumpkin."

Quantico, The Behavioral Analysis Unit was always my goal from the very start, I'd walked into the double doors of the place on my first day bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, all the whilst every horror imaginable lay beneath.

There was a lot to dislike about the place, the bureaucracy the most damning flaw of all, It was a tangled mess that the agents had to deal with, to remember why you're there was to do your job well.

Elle Greenaway and I were alike in that way, we wanted to help the world be a safer place, I remember our first meeting, she'd welcomed me to hell. Her piercing brown eyes stared me down, scanning me as if she could see right through to my soul.

The blush that kissed my skin that day was embarrassing and exciting all at once. She'd find ways to talk to me, excuses to come to my office. The new liaison. I'd let the team know my doors were open at any point in time, and God did she ever abuse it. Suddenly pencils regularly disappeared from her desk. Could she use one of mine? Did I have a stapler? Hers was empty.

It was...flattering.

I couldn't lie, the agent had piqued my interest from the start. A smooth talker with a quick tongue. Clever. Amazing at her job. Just my type, you could consider me charmed from day one. She had me in the palm of her hand.

From there it was inevitable, I was hers.

Again, the ladder of the BAU was a tough one to work around, the night we finally hooked up, it was under the guise of me not having a ride home from work. My car was in the shop...The same one that was parked just in the garage parking lot, furthest space away from the other's eyes.

That night, staring into puddles of hazel brown, brunette locks tickling my skin; I knew I'd developed an addiction, and god was it a euphoric one.

When we made it official, Elle gave me a locket, heart pendant with a picture of us in it. We'd agreed to keep it on the down low until we knew how to break it to Strauss and the rest.

It was a riot trying to pretend I hated the woman, hell, she drove me insane in all the best ways. She was my drug.

My chest felt tight, my every limb aching the moment Hotch cleared it. Allowed her to go inside. Why did it have to her? Why did she have to be the hero?

It's our job, I know. I repeated that to myself so many fucking times whilst watching her put on that damned bulletproof vest which did nothing to silence my worries. — Every other part of her became fair game.

My chest hurt, my breathing sped up. Everything blurred. Before long I was being escorted to my seat by a worried JJ, I couldn't even tell her the reason I was so upset. I felt myself drowning, sorrow encapsulated my entire being, paralyzing me with a fear I'd never felt in forever.

The fear of loss. Grief.

I couldn't believe it, the world was taking from me what happiness I had gotten back, and to make it all worse...

She'd probably thought I hated her.

POP. POP. POP.

"Was that a gunshot?! We're going in. NOW"!

It was at that moment, my sorrow melded into anger and determination. Hotch and Rossi, I could see a moment of doubt on their faces, but there was none in mine. I nodded at them, jaw set.

I could see relief wash over Aaron, I could hear Jennifer exhale.

I got geared up, muttering a quiet.

"We're going to get Elle".

I could feel her icy glare on me, but I couldn't look her way. I wouldn't. I was too prideful. Too stubborn. Too...hurt.

It all seems so stupid now in hindsight but then, then it felt so serious. End of the world serious.

She was still worried of exposing our relationship and what that would mean, fearful. I could see it in her eyes that she didn't wanna risk the chance of losing what we had, but I was tired. Too tired to look at it from a different perspective, to be rational. I wanted the world to know.

It'd been an almost full year of Elle and Y/n. Didn't that mean something to her?

Now that I think about it; It probably meant everything to her, and that's where her hesitance stemmed from. Maybe if I hadn't been so boneheaded...

Elle walked into your office that day, two cups of coffee in hand and a to-go bag under her chin. It was early before most of the team had even arrived. She wanted to get there before it was time for another award-winning performance of pretending to hate the woman she loved the most.

The smile that greeted you was one of pure happiness, and it had only been met with a grimace of discomfort, and a problem waiting to be made. I mean, how dare she? Bring you coffee and scones while you prepped to present another harrowing case to the team with Garcia? How absolutely dare she?

When she saw the grimace on your face after sitting the coffee and scones down, her smile faded almost immediately. Knowing instantly what this would be about, the same conversation had been going on for a week and a half now that your one-year anniversary was quickly approaching.

"It's a little early, no? You usually don't come in so soon".

That was a lie, you both knew it but Elle also knew that was only the gateway to your next question. She sits before you, pulling up a chair.

"Y/n, pleas—"

"I don't wanna do it anymore, Elle. Can't we tell Strauss and them? Our anniversary is two weeks away, we've been going behind their backs for too long...I want them to know".

Elle sighs, you'd asked this so many times and the answer stayed the same. Her lips part to speak but it's stuck in her throat, it's dying there and in her silence you find disappointments. Your mouth fixes into a slight scowl.

"Well"?

Elle finally speaks, "You know why we can’t".

Her answer again left you dissatisfied, but this time instead of fighting it, you allow words you regret to slip through the cloud of emotions you were feeling. Before you know it, it's too late to take them back, Elle's face had already fallen, and your ego was too big to take it all back.

"Fine. Well, maybe we shouldn't even be doing this. I'm tired of being just two coworkers hooking up".

The words hang in the air, toxic and venomous. The fumes left a nasty stench. Elle notices you pull your bottom lip between your teeth as you often do when uncomfortable or nervous. Yet you speak not a word.

She stands, clearing her throat.

"Just two coworkers hooking up? That's what you think of our relationship? Wow".

And that, that was all she said. There was so much and nothing left to say, neither of you quite processed what had happened before she left your office on that sullen note.

The case had gone from a simple familial kidnapping to not only the dad holding his daughter hostage but an entire library. My Elle had gone inside that place, her bravery had always inspired me, but today I couldn't help but have a strong disdain for it. The way she was immediately ready to go. It was her nature. It was MY nature. The entirety of the BAU would've done the same, and all I could think was why it had to be here.

When we got in, it was already too late. James had shot Elle in the thigh, and his daughter in the arm, before he'd turned the gun on himself.

I'd rushed to her side, the first one there whilst the rest tended to the others. She was already grey, lips pale and blue and eyes barely opened.

From that moment, leaving her side wasn't an option, the only time I did so was when she was rolled away for surgery. The hours spent with her gone was just me sobbing uncontrollably in Penelope's arms.

I was no longer able to pretend, and I was hoping, praying to whatever God I could that she'd make it out of that surgery alive to be mad at me about that.

I could hear her voice telling me to pull myself together, I was being too obvious. I could see her soft smile vividly in my mind winking at me right after that.

It was touch and go, touch and go.

Finally, the doctor came to talk to us.

I put the finishing touches on it, my heartbeat so loud I could hear it pumping. God, I was so nervous. I'd never done something like this before, I never thought I could be doing something like this before.

I'd rejected the idea of commitment, shunned it. The thought of long-term relationships terrified me. Maybe, maybe that was why it was so difficult to convince me.

I'd convinced myself it was because I wasn't ready for the big boy's club to have the spotlight on my relationship, it was bad enough their eyes were watching my every move at work, but my personal life?

And yeah, that was the reason for about 6 months, but I knew in my soul of souls that I wanted her. Solely her. I didn't care about bureaucracy that much, hell, I was the reason there were eyes on me after the shooting they'd watched me like a hawk.

But no, that wasn't the reason. It was my safety net. My excuse to mull over my own grievances with love and relationships. I could see the sadness wash over her face every time I'd say 'not now', and it broke me each time.

I just...wasn't ready. I wasn't ready to admit to myself that I was worthy and deserving of love. That a relationship could be healthy/

I was constantly watching my back, waiting for it all to fall so I could prove myself right. When it didn't...When I almost lost her to my own foolishness, it was the biggest wake-up call of my life. — Waking up in that hospital bed, I remember it vividly. Looking to my right to see a sea of ginger curls strewn about my bed, her soft snores filled my ears. She sat in the uncomfortable hospital chair with her head lying on my bed, and it was clear she hadn't gotten any sleep in days.

Later, I was told I'd been in a coma for three weeks.

In those three weeks, she'd never left my side until she had to shower, eat, or change. Morgan told me he'd arrive only to see her doing work beside me and Hotch was more than gracious enough to allow her to be with me.

Her eyes opened, pained by the awful fluorescent lighting overhead, and as her eyes adjusted to the harsh lighting, she heard a familiar sound, those soft snores like music to her ears when she looked to her right and her suspicions were correct. You rest your head on your arms laid on the edge of her bed just next to her arm without the IV in it. You looked so peaceful, but she noticed how pale your usually cocoa skin looked.

She can't help but wonder how long you'd been there.

When she turns her head away from you, still scanning her surroundings, a soft British accent sounds out beside her rasp and sleep coating your vocals.

"Elle". You spoke so breathlessly as if you'd received the biggest surprise of your life. She took note of the way your eyes immediately welled up, apologies stumbling from your lips, "Baby, I'm so sorry I didn't mean—”

She'd shushed you, scooting over and patting a spot next to her. When you join her on the hospital bed that barely fits one let alone two, she kisses the top of your head, hand scratching and massaging through your soft ginger afro, she sighs and shakes her head, looking down at you.

"I know you didn't. Just sleep with me for right now, yeah"?

A tear slips from your eyes, you nuzzle gently into her side further, careful to not worsen any of her injuries.

"Yeah".

I'd probably asked her to repeat what had almost happened to me a thousand times, something about hearing it was healing almost.

Though, she could make anything sound interesting with her voice like honeycomb. It was the one of the first things about her that’d caught my attention.

She knew how to make it real for me.

Elle lay in your arms, her head resting in your lap with your nails massaging her scalp. This wasn't the first time she'd asked you to retell the story, it was the fourth in a single week. You were happy to oblige, even if it hurt you to talk about seeing her almost die, You knew she needed this, and if it helped her in any way, you were glad to.

"The bullet hit a major artery. The doctor had come out to tell us of your death, I think my knees nearly buckled when I heard her starting to apologize".

She'd looked up at you, eyes and ears focusing solely on you like she hadn't heard the story a previous three times, she'd kissed the back of your hand gently when you had to stop for a moment to recollect yourself talking about how you'd thought you'd lost the love of your life.

Finally, you spoke again, eyes glossy.

"When she was about to call it, tell us her condolences, another of the surgical team ran out to tell her that there was a pulse, you could be saved. As soon as I heard the news, I did drop to my knees. I did. I thanked the stars that I'd get another chance to make it right, to tell you how much I loved you and regretted my words".

"You're doing so good, Beautiful", she'd whispered to you appreciatively, knowing how hard this was for you, It only made her love you that much more seeing the lengths you would go to to help her heal.

"It was touch and go for a few hours after that, you once again died on the table, three times. Finally, the doctor was about to give up until you got a steady pulse. They told us you fought like hell to get back to the team. But I couldn't help but think maybe..."

"It was. It was you, I don't remember much. I was talking to my father on the jet. Telling him all about the team, all about you. How I couldn't leave you just yet...Not on such a standstill".

Your breath caught in your throat at her words, you'd had your fair share of near-death experiences when working in SVU but you weren't sure you'd felt anything but coldness, a darkness. Elle had something to live for. She'd chosen to live for you.

"Y/n".

Your eyes shot to hers, she'd never really addressed you by your first name, only pet names she'd gifted you. So, when she'd said it, she'd gotten your full attention.

"Yea"?

"You were right...You were right, look, for a while" She sat up, moving to face you before continuing, "For a while it was about work, me wanting to continue lying. But, you were right. It wasn't just that".

Elle grabbed your hands in hers, her hazel eyes a vision of fall as she stared into yours, you knew the woman better than anyone, you could see this was hard for her; being vulnerable.

"I never thought of love as something that could be achieved in our field, not long term at least, and after about three failed relationships in, I stopped pursuing. I became terrified of commitment, and when you came along..."

"You got scared of the things you felt". You finished for her, sighing softly and pressing your forehead against hers, "Me too".

She nodded, "When I left your office thinking we were over, I realized my own cowardice. I knew I couldn't just lose you like that. I was gonna speak up and apologize. Talk it out. Anything. Until"

"Everything..." You whisper and cup her cheek in your hand, searching her eyes for that love, and when you see it. That same glint from first meeting, the side of your lips quirked up into a delicate smile, "I love you, Agent Greenaway".

"And I love you far more, Agent Y/ln".

I glance at the door anxiously, eyes shifting from that to the clock ticking slowly on the wall, and back. Putting this in the hands of someone other than my own was nerve-wracking, especially dealing with something this important.

Eventually, the door opens, and I'm almost allowed to breathe, but not yet. Not just yet. You're almost there Elle.

Entrusting this with Penelope Garcia of all people was the scariest part of all this, but she came through without spilling all, I admit. She smiles at me, giving a thumbs up. And I appreciate it, I do, but it's not any more comforting. Right now nothing could comfort me.

And then, I look to her.

A vision of perfection stood before me, and as Garcia finally removed her blindfold, I could feel my face get hot, my heart pumping faster. She was stunning. We stare at each other in awe, I can feel my father whispering in my ear that I was making a good decision.

"Come here, Mi Amor" I hear myself whisper, my voice caught in my throat as I prepared myself for the task ahead. She walks over to me with her hand still cupping her mouth in shock as she grasps what the box in my hand means.

When she's close enough, I get on one knee. The tears welling in my eyes a perfect match for the ones in her.

"You two argue like an old married couple". "They're still at it? Ugh, get a room".

only three more minutes. three more minutes until it's over.

daisy felt her heart lodged into her throat. the cheers, the screams, the buzzers, the stares. everyone was staring at her. girls would pass by her and mutter something cruel about her appearance or say that will only got with her because she's gabe's sister.

"gabe probably forced him because no guy wanted to date her," she heard someone say as they passed by.

guys would talk about her father and how he's probably disappointed that she didn't take up hockey like the rest of them. they called her weak when she trained just as much as the rest of her family.

he hands were shaky, her heart was racing, and she felt the floor rumble beneath her - stomps shaking the entire arena.

with the sound of another buzzer, everyone was up, screaming, banging against the glass, jumping and high-fiving each other. the arena was filled with happy people in teal. but everyone's curious eyes wandered to her. why wasn't she happy for her boyfriend? she doesn't care that he just won his first nhl game? what's wrong with her?

will's eyes immediately searched for daisy's after the buzzer rang. but when he didn't see her standing, he grew worried. she was always his biggest cheerleader at bc games. he skated towards her section before getting swept up in a hug by his teammates. he tried to be happy, to be excited. i mean, this was his first nhl win! he should be happy, but all he was thinking about was daisy and if she was okay.

daisy stayed in her seat, her head in her hands as she breathed out shaky breaths. her lungs hurt, her knee bounced - it couldn't stop. she couldn't stop shaking, everything was shaking. she couldn't hear anything - not even when everyone started to file out of the arena.

she felt trapped.

will threw off his skates as fast as he could, shoving his gear into his stall, and dismissing the worried looks of the rest of his teammates. his coach called after him after watching him exit the locker room in such a hurry, but will didn't listen - he couldn't. all he was thinking about was getting to daisy.

this is my fault. the words repeated in his head like a broken record. if i didn't ask her to come, she would've been okay. if something bad happened to her, i would never forgive myself.

racing down the steps of the arena, he saw her in her seat, her chest rising up and down, her eyes bouncing around, searching for help, her hands shaking. she was having a panic attack, and they just left her there.

he sat down next to her, careful not to scare her. he didn't touch her, she always felt suffocated during her episodes. her attacks didn't happen often, but when they did, it was scariest thing ever.

he couldn't possibly imagine how daisy was feeling.

"hey, remember that one time when we were in high school and we went to that umich game and you were screaming at dylan duke for not cross checking the guy that pushed him?"

he waited for her response. he knew she needed some time and he would wait as long as she needed.

"stop," she gulped, remembering to breathe. "stop, um," she breathed again, her eyes trained on the ice in front of her. "stop being a pussy."

will laughed, his grin beginning to relax daisy a bit. "yeah, and then after the game, he was like 'so you were the one screaming at me.'"

daisy scoffed. and her breaths started to stabilize, her knee no longer bouncing, her hands no longer shaking. she talked slowly. "i- i don't know what happened. i always go to your games and i'm always fine," she started to cry. tears spilling out of her eyes like a leaky facet. "i'm so sorry, will."

he furrowed his brows. "why are you apologizing? you didn't choose for this to happen."

"this was your night," she whispered. "you should be out celebrating, not worrying about me."

his arms made their way around her body, his hand getting trapped in her hair and his other snaked around her waist. "i'd be worried about you either way. i'm always worried about you even when you're okay. i'm worried about you because i care about you, baby."

"but you shouldn't have to worry. you should be at a bar right now with your teammates. i'm so sorry."

he shook his head. "i care about you way more than any of this shit. sure, it was my first win, but i'll have another in the future. it'll be okay. all i care about right now is that you're okay and safe because if you weren't, that would kill me more than anything."

"i'm okay."

"good," he whispered, his chin finding its way on top of her head. "i was thinking of a different way we could celebrate tonight."

daisy laughed, pushing him off of her. "will!"

"hey, all i was thinking about was having a nice dinner... unless," he smirked.

she rolled her eyes, heat rising to her cheeks as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "you're dirty, but... thanks for checking on me. i don't think anyone else would've."

"i'm always there. i love you, pretty girl."

Season 1, Episode 3: Split Decision

Finally we get to an episode I remember watching back in the day. Even though I knew what was going to happen in this one, I was still very excited to re-visit it as I remember it being kind of bizarre.

We start with the opening theme music and then, wait what's this?

Who is this guy? We've spent all our time establishing a relationship with Page and then we see someone else?

Oh so he does exist! I guess this was one they couldn't re-shoot with the new Hitchhiker so they kept it as is. I knew I had seen a version with him in it, so it must have been this episode.

They actually used to play this one quite a bit in syndication despite the fact that it's a totally different guy. I honestly don't know why they bothered to re-shoot the other ones when they couldn't do this for all of them, but whatever. I was curious if somehow the Hitchhiker ends up more integrated with the plot.

This episode actually takes a different approach and instead of starting with the main character driving, we see him in his office. This is Jake, a down-on-his-luck real estate agent who has some interesting vintage phones on his desk.

I guess instead of having a phone with multiple lines, he just has two different phone lines? At first he doesn't seem like your average Hitchhiker protagonist since he's pretty dorky and you can't really imagine any sexy situations with this guy, but this is HBO after all.

I'm not sure he's actually talking to anyone on these phones since he happens to accidentally hang up the phone with the other receiver, yet the caller is supposedly still on the line.

How is that possible?

Anyways, it's time for driving so we can figure out how the Hitchhiker fits into this plot. Wacky music starts playing when we see this character's crappy car. I guess this is to establish that he is indeed very desperate and bad at his job. Hearing this music I expected a bunch of clowns to start coming out of it. But instead it looks like the car is about to burst into flames.

He meets the Hitchhiker while Jake is lost in some suburban neighborhood. He approaches him to ask him if he knows the road of the house he's trying to visit and he just points.

I guess this was why they couldn't re-shoot this because the editing would probably look pretty bad. My main question with this scene is, is this guy hitchhiking in some residential neighborhood? Isn't that a bit creepy?

The Hitchhiker seems to know him after he drives away since he tells the camera that Jake seems to think he's charming sort of a guy. Wow this hitchhiker sounds really Canadian and much friendlier than the one we are used to. I definitely prefer the creepy vibe that Page gives off more, but this was interesting. Anyways, charm can sometimes fool the charmer, or so the Hitchhiker says.

Jake drives up to the house he's been asked to sell. This guy really doesn't look like a Jake, more like a Herman or a Norman or some gross dorky name. We meet sisters Frances and Priscilla Packard played by real life actress sisters Audrey and Judy Landers. Now here are some actresses that look familiar. I know Audrey from singing that Tits and Ass song in the A Chorus Line movie. Judy Landers was in that Stewardess School movie which I caught 10 minutes of on Comedy Central back in the 1990s. Audrey actually went to Julliard and somehow she is still in this show. Both had made a number of television appearances in the 1980s so they are very familiar character actresses. Both are very good in this episode playing dumb sexy blondes which is basically their M.O.

They also like to dress as magician assistants around the house. This is because their father who left them this house was a famous magician.

Jake was very subtle when meeting these bodacious babes.

He also says to one of them "You should have a sign that says 'beware of bush!'" Considering what happens to this guy in this episode, I think he should maybe take his own advice.

He also comments on how he likes the mounds in the garden. Real smooth.

There is some wackiness where he thinks both sisters are actually the same person until they appear together.

Of course being a classy guy he says "Stereo blondes! This is going to be delightful." I guess due to the unfreezing process he seems to have no inner monologue.

As he moves through the house we see a lot of cutlery imagery. One uses a chain saw, he runs into a hand saw, there is a random guillotine in the living room. Very curious.

There is also a bear in the closet. Oh Canada!

After the house tour, we learn that the sisters have trouble sharing. They had a doll someone gave them once and they had to split it down the middle so they didn't have to share it.

You can see here this doll is perfectly in tact with not even a seam down it, but somehow...

Jake is back in business as he gets to show his two new clients each a new home they can buy after they sell the home they are in.

This lady seems to be the only person to realize how disgusting this guy is.

The first sister gets shown a nice modest house. She gets horny when she finds out it has a fireplace and immediately strips and seduces Jake. Good Lord.

The second sister is shown a condo complete with creepy mannequins. He turns on the fireplace and we find out that fireplaces turn this sister on too.

There is a weird jump cut with this scene. My guess was the actress was too disgusted having to pretend to have sex with this guy and they had to cut out a facial expression.

At some point he does say the line "Let's slide into escrow together." Yuk.

I have to say the score on this episode with the wacky music is really distracting. Jake goes back to the house sometime later because he finds out the girls are not going to sell the house. Both sisters are just hanging out in their underwear.

Oh and one of them is making a sandwich. I'm sure this is doing it for someone right now.

They let Jake know that they both like him and they can't share him so they are not going to sell the house. He does seem more concerned with the fact they won't sell than the fact that these sisters are both after him. They both want him for some reason so his solution is that both of them can have him. They decide to take a photo to commemorate this moment.

There seems to be something happening behind him. Watch the birdie!

Wow that's a perfectly sliced sandwich! Ta-dah!

This scene has weird blocking, I couldn't tell how they got to this spot. And why is there no blood?

We end with the sisters walking through their garden talking about what new things they were going to plant in their mounds. The Hitchhiker has a voiceover, but we see his reflection in the door meaning he has been creeping around this neighborhood the whole time. He informs us that Jake would do anything for a sale and now he's a permanent fixture in the house.

Wait a minute...mounds in the garden? Are all those mounds other bodies of people they have done this to? Who is supposed to be the villain here?

I did like this episode. It was still crazy even without any supernatural elements. And it's nice to see that Nicholas Campbell wasn't completely erased from existence.

This is the last of the first season that was shot with the first Hitchhiker. The next one is the start of season 2 where I think they have finally figured out how the Hitchhiker fits into the series. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

2. When I think I truly started to like them (or dislike them, if you've sent me a character I don't like)

It was actually before she even appeared on the show. As a big fan of Wicked the Musical I was so freaking elated and excited about the Wicked Witch being on the show. I thought they were gonna do the Wicked the Musical storyline, but then I was so shocked when she spoke, and she was this sassy snob, who ended up making me laugh out loud with her lines. And even though she wasn't what I was expecting, I immediately dug this iteration of the character. I couldn't wait for each episode, just to see her, because she gave me that feeling you get when there's a character on screen that makes you feel euphoric just to watch them. Zelena was my drug xD. I still get that feeling, but not as intensely. I still very much love her though! It also helped that I was immediately attracted to her. The green skin did not deter me, but it never had for Elphaba either tehe.

5. My favorite ship of them

Wicked Cricket! I was so happy when they got to interact in s6 and Archie couldn't help but psychoanalyse her. I love psychoanalysing characters, and I think it could be interesting to see Archie try to understand her, while helping her to react less chaotically to things. And it'd be good for her to finally have someone listen to how she feels about things and see her pov. And maybe to talk about her childhood too, because that was hella messed up of her father! I just love the potential they have!

21. When do you think they were at their happiest?

Anytime with her daughter. Family means the world to her, to the point where she obsessed over a sister she never met for over 28 years. I think it all stemmed from her likely having a loving relationship with her adoptive mum and being starved of any love once she died early on. I remember at the end of 'Chosen', she said that any happiness she had started with Robin.

Zelena seemed to have been a surprisingly good mum to Robin, while raising her. I think that Robin is just more 'Zelena's child' than she might like to admit and was a bit stubborn and chaotic, and Zelena seems to have been pretty strict, so things were likely rocky for them during that time. And then there was the stress of the being part of the Resistance when they moved to the NEF. So, if I had to choose a point in her life, it'd probably be post-s7 curse, where she likely had a more stable mother-daughter relationship with Robin and continued to have a pretty great one with her sister. I imagine she'd be happy with Chad too. Though the dude hasn't done anything wrong, I'm not too keen on him because we didn't get to know him. But he makes her happy and they have cute nicknames for each other!

30. The funniest scene they had?

The first one that comes to mind is her running over the black fairy with her car, though I'm sure there are others that might beat that that I'm totally blanking on.

So here I am, bored out of my mind at work, and my brain travels across the ether of zoning out...

And a Crossover idea stuck!

So, do you Phans remember that animated movie that came out in 2009 called "Astroboy"?

[I mean this one.]

It was my first contact with the Astro Boy series and while I never explored the latter further, the movie amazed me and made me care (read: fear, empathize and ache) for the protagonist in ways that any other movie couldn't along with the first "How to Train your Dragon". (That's an accomplishment since after reading/watching many things I unfortunately became somewhat desensitized to plots in general. (╥﹏╥))

That being said, let's get back to the topic:

You all know how the movie premise is that Astro is the robotic replica of Toby, the professor's dead son?

What if we spin a bit of Phandom in it? <(꒪꒳꒪)>

There could be three ways to do this:

The first two have more or less the same trope = (post-movie) Natural Portal Shenanigans make either Danny or Astro cross dimension and Astro has Toby's ghost following him along for fun and only Danny can see him because he's an halfa.

The third take is the Fusion AU =

Danny as Toby dies in the same canonical accident, but the two cores instead of blue and red are green and pink/magenta ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Phantom as Astro. In this Danny and Phantom are two different persons, but instead of "normal" superpowers/weapons, he's half-robot/half-ectoplasm entity (it's different than being a ghost, I still stan that ghosts are the post-mortem manifestation of the deceased's soul and you can pry this from my specter's cold hands) (Meaning: Phantom is not Danny's ghost in this).

Jack and Maddie as Dr. Tenma. They form an amazing team and something so trivial as an absentee single parent in Astro Boy canon won't stop me.

Frostbite as Dr. Elefun. I contemplated briefly Clockwork for this part, but the "supportive wise mentor" fit better with our favorite Yeti than with our cryptid stopwatch, not counting that he has already medical and technological knowledge in DP.

Jazz as Orrin (the robot housekeeper)? This one doesn't fit as well as the rest of the cast, so maybe there's no Jazz or she's in another city as studying-abroad-big-sister.

Sam as Cora. Rebellious girl with wealthy parents, who fights for her rights? Sign her in. (Not counting the teased romance between her and Astro/Phantom, that's only a plus.)

Tucker as "himself" (AKA not any particular role, just one of the orphans of the Surface). Techno-Geek that repairs robots for the Robot Fights and bonds spectacularly with Phantom.

Dani as ZOG. I know it's strange, but hear me out: ZOG was revived by Astro's core and it still keeps part of that energy, making it virtually both Astro's sibling and child! Ring a bell? Plus ZOG is a little shit when it's able to, so it's only a natural decision, really! (≧∇≦)

Cujo as Trashcan. Yep, the trashcan dog deserves the puppy counterpart.

Now that should be everyone! ...Or should it? Oh! Right! The Villains:

Freakshow as Hamegg. Who would be a better showman/ringleader than the insane circus owner who controls robots ghosts?

Vlad Masters as President Stone. Of course it was going to be him. Old friend of the protagonist's father? Check. Power hungry? Check. Wants the protagonist for one of his machinations? Triple check.

Plasmius as Peacekeeper. Pink/Magenta core explained! Who would have thought about that? (≧∇≦)

Skulker as General Heckler. Vlad's second in command and enforcer of his commands, it feels only natural.

There are so many other characters to assign, though at the moment I can't come up with what to do with the robot trio of the Robot Revolutionary Front or Valerie Gray, but this discourse made me want to re-watch the movie, so I'll probably add something tomorrow.

What do you Phans think? Is this worth considering for Danuary? (≧∇≦)

My experience at Number_i's 2024 Ariake concert

The Ariake concerts are now on Prime and I'm pretty sure Number_i's episode is the same show I went to. I've posted about how I prepared for the concert day, and now that my memory's been refreshed after watching the recording, I'd also like to talk more about my personal experiences and thoughts leading up to that day. I've watched the recordings of some of their concerts with KP as well as the Tokyo Dome concert back in March, but this is my first time watching them live, and also my first time watching any concert.

Since I was already going to Tokyo anyway, I also planned a whole vacation around it. I had been looking forward to it for months, but once I got there, a couple of things did not go as planned and I started to question whether it was a good decision to do all this after all. But then I remembered that the main reason for this trip was to see Number_i in concert, so I held on to that and tried not to be too negative. As long as I was able to make it to the concert and stay safe throughout my stay, then I'd still consider it a success.

As I've also mentioned in previous post, I only bought merch at the venue on the day of the show. I really wanted to buy a penlight since I felt like it could enhance the concert experience, but they were already sold out during my turn. I didn't plan on buying an uchiwa at first since I felt a bit awkward about holding up something with just one member's face. I would've preferred if there was one with all three of them. But I decided to buy one so I would still have something to hold during the show. I thought having three at the same time would be excessive, so I just got Hirano's since he was my first favorite among them and I liked his picture the most.

The size of the crowd was a bit of a shock to me, but it was generally orderly and I had some time to fix myself up before the show started. Even though I've read that Ariake Arena has a capacity of around 15,000, I couldn't really imagine what that number looked like until I was actually there. I'm not used to big crowds, but I thought it was amazing to see so many other fans who were also excited to be there. I don't personally know any other fans, so to suddenly be surrounded by other people who share the same enthusiasm for this group was really special. It was also a new experience to hear Number_i's songs being played around the venue while we were waiting outside. I was used to listening to them on my own, but hearing their songs in public made me even more excited.

During the application period, I applied for reserved seats and got selected for them. My seat was on the 2nd floor which was a bit far from the main stage, but had a good general view of the arena floor. Our section only had 2 rows, so it didn't feel crowded at all. As I was getting settled, the woman I was seated next to noticed my Hirano uchiwa and started a conversation with me since Sho was also her favorite. I tried to keep up as best as I can, but had to aplogize since my Japanese was only very limited. She seemed to know some English, so we were still able to chat for a bit. It was only a short conversation since there was still a language barrier, but it was just nice to meet a fellow fan and bond over our love for the group. As a fan, it made me feel welcome to be there even though I couldn't understand what most people were saying. It made me glad that I bought the Hirano uchiwa after all.

When the three of them appeared on stage for the first time, I felt a rush of excitement and relief that I couldn't hold back. I'd been wanting to watch them perform live ever since I became a fan of KP back then, but I didn't think it could happen anymore after the three of them left. It's a different group now, but my hope of watching them live was reawakened after they released their first single because I was once again in awe of their talent. Their new company also seems to be more open to international fans, so I thought I would at least try.

I had my hopes up for the Dome concert and started making plans already, but I didn't get selected for that and felt down about it for a while. When they announced their Ariake concert, I still planned to give it a try, but prepared myself for disappointment again. When I saw that I had been selected, I was ecstatic, but also very anxious. Of course, I was happy that I would get to see them soon, but I also knew that a lot of things could happen in between. Finally seeing them on stage after months of anticipation made it all worth it. All of my little troubles melted away for the meantime as soon as the first performance started. We were allowed to record the first 3 songs, and when I watched the video I took after the show, I was surprised to hear how loudly I cheered during that first reveal! It was so thrilling to witness first-hand.

The audience cheered throughout the show, but nowhere near as loudly as I thought they would. I've heard that's common for concerts in Japan, but it may also be because I was in a less crowded section. I was still able to cheer a lot, but I did find myself holding back when I felt that everyone else had gone quiet. The good thing about it was that I was able to hear the guys clearly and focus on their performances.

The moving stages allowed them to get closer to different sections of the arena. Although they probably couldn't see me, I still got excited and waved at them whenever they were near us. I hoped my energy and support would still reach them 😅 When I got a closer look, I realized that they really looked the same as they do on screen. They're all cool and handsome guys, but in that moment, I would describe them all as incredibly cute! Particularly Jin, who I thought looked even cuter and more youthful in person even though I already knew that he's the youngest among them. They also sound almost exactly as they do in their songs, so honestly, there were times when I had to remind myself that I was actually watching them in the flesh 😂 They hit all the right notes and I realized once again how beautiful their voices are. Kishi's strong and unwavering vocals were the most striking for me, but Sho also had a smooth, almost calming voice.

I could only understand some parts of the MC portion, but I still enjoyed their energy. One of the reasons why I liked them in the first place was that they were entertaining to watch even if I couldn't understand everything they were saying. The woman next to me also let me know what was going on during some of the times they were interacting with the audience, which I was really grateful for. I'm glad the Prime broadcast has English subtitles too, so I was able to enjoy it fully this time. They seemed to cut the part when these photos were taken though, which is a bit sad since that was one of the moments from the MC portion that stuck out the most to me.

ETA: I almost forgot—I'm pretty sure Kishi did his "happiness" bit at some point too, but they also removed that from the broadcast. It felt somehow iconic to be able to hear that live lmao, so I'm a bit sad I couldn't relive that moment. I only remembered because Kishi also did that during their first Youtube live a few days ago, but other fans have noticed that it was cut from the archive. I wonder why.

Of course, it would've been better if I understood everything during the concert itself, but it was still fun to watch their banter. It was also endearing to hear each of their distinct laughs in person.

The concert was a lot of fun and honestly more chill than I was expecting, probably in part due to the crowd's decorum. I tried my best to be present and commit everything to memory, but the whole show really flew by. From my seat, it was a bit challenging to appreciate all the details of the choreography due to the distance. I was also looking back and forth between the members on stage and on the screens, so some of it became a blur, but I still really enjoyed all of the performances.

Even though I've already listened to GOAT so many times since its release, it still felt fresh to hear live and it was the best song to keep me and the crowd hyped up until the end. The last song, Yumeno Tsuzuki, is one of my favorite songs of theirs and it was lovely to hear them sing it, but it really enhanced the bittersweet feeling of the show coming to a close.

It felt surreal to go back home (to where I was staying) knowing that the thing I had been looking forward to for months, and at times stressing out about, was finally over. I suddenly had the feeling of wanting to see them again right away even though I knew that, given my circumstances, it would take a while for that to happen. For now, I was just happy that I was able to have this one experience. I ate a hearty dinner that night and was happy to see their instagram posts after the show.

Even though the concert felt like it was over too quickly, I was fully content and happy at the end of it. I realized that maybe it was a good thing that I didn't get selected for the Dome concert. At least this time around, I had more time to prepare. The size of the crowd and duration of the concert for Ariake were also just right for me as a first timer. I feel like I might've been more overwhelmed if I went to the Dome concert, especially since Number_i had a shorter set then, so I was thankful that this was the one I got selected for instead.

They will be having a tour around Japan starting on October. I did think about taking another trip for it, but for now I've decided to pass since it would probably be smarter to save more money first. I'm holding on to hope that there will be another opportunity for me to see them again. Right now, I just feel so blessed that I got to see them at their first solo concert as Number_i. This memory will always be precious to me ♡

you didn't mean to fall asleep on him. you two were just sitting there beside each other while watching tv at the compound, but sleep began to weigh you down. first, your eyelids closed. then, your head leaned back against the back of the couch. next, you moved your head to bucky's shoulder in your sleep and after you caught yourself from falling completely into his lap, bucky reached over you to grab a pillow to set in his lap and he pulled you into his lap.

you were too tired to really understand what was going on so you followed his lead and laid your head there. without thinking about it, his hands found your hair and massaged into your scalp, sending you into an even deeper sleep.

tony came through the room talking loudly on the phone and normally the man wouldn't care if he was being a bother to someone else. in fact, he usually thrived on it. but as soon as he caught a glance of the hard glare bucky was sending his way, he turned on his heel and left the other way.

bucky didn't pick up on it, but when tony came over, bucky's arm instinctively wrapped around you in a protective manner. tony wasn't going to harm you. no one in the compound would, but he felt the need to shield you.

his focus was on the tv show that he was still trying to wrap his mind around. bucky wasn't a huge fan of the shows they played nowadays. it was like if you missed a second, you'd miss a huge plot detail and the television shows he was used to had more fun, filler episodes. but his focus was broken when he heard someone snicker. not just anyone though, he heard sam.

"they are so cute," he heard what sounded like wanda speak with a delighted giggle following her words.

"i wish they just get together already," nat commented. bucky couldn't see them, but he could hear them and if you were awake, he was sure you could too.

"it's so painfully obvious he likes her, but he won't do anything about it," sam added to the conversation before steve spoke up.

"he isn't the same confident, suave bucky he used to be. he just needs to be a hundred percent sure she likes him back before he tries anything."

"you like me?" you questioned as you sat up, causing bucky's attention to snap toward you. earlier, you had felt bucky's arm tighten around you which woke you up some, but the conversation you were overhearing woke you up even further. "like actually?"

"i- yeah." there was no sense in hiding it anymore. "a lot."

he sat for a moment gauging your reaction and he had never felt such relief as he did when he saw a smile creep onto your lips.

"really?" you couldn't believe it. you had had the stupidest little crush on him for the longest, so to hear that he liked you back when you felt that wasn't even possible, it was unbelievable.

"yeah," he breathed out, worried for your reaction.

"i like you too."

"wait," you both heard sam call from the hall where all four of them emerged, "all we had to do was talk about you near you and suddenly, you guys like each other."

"i think the liking each other came before you did anythi-" bucky was cut off by sam continuing.

"dude, we have to do this with peter and that girl he's always bringing around. can you imagine how red he will get?" sam was getting way too excited about his recent discovery but it was entertaining.

"now that he's occupied, how about we plan our first date?" bucky asked in a hushed tone to you in an attempt to make the conversation more private.

"i would love nothing more."

Iijima: Dan Kuroto is back!

"新•檀黎斗" だけどね (笑)。

Iwanaga: It's Shin Dan Kuroto (laughs).

一緒にお芝居をするなかで、今後も徹ちゃんの意外性を見られると思うと、楽しみでならないよ。

Iijima: I can't wait to see the unexpected side of Tetsu-chan as we continue to work together.

復活してからの黎斗は未知数だけどね。でも僕そんなに意外性を見せてる？

Iwanaga: Kuroto has been an unknown quantity since his resurrection, though. But am I being that surprising?

最初はデキる社長らしく振る舞っていたのに、途中からゲームに取り悪かれたようになったでしょ知り合いの子どもが18話以降、仮面ライダーゲンムと黎斗を怖がって、テレビから逃げるらしくて (笑)。僕も黎斗の変わりようには大きな衝撃を受けたけどね。あそこまでの意外性を引き出せた徹ちゃんは本当にすごい。

Iijima: At first he acted like a smart president, but halfway through he became obsessed with the game, and the children of my acquaintance became afraid of Kamen Rider Genm and Kuroto after episode 18 and ran away from the TV (laughs). I was also shocked by the way Kuroto changed. Tetsu-chan is truly amazing for being able to bring out that much unexpectedness.

Iwanaga: Fufufu (smiles).

いい意味で吹っ切れていたよね。23話の最期のシーンなんて、黎斗の人間性が如実に表れていて鳥肌ものだった。たくさんの刺激をもらったよ!

Iijima: The final scene in episode 23 gave me goosebumps because it really showed Kuroto's humanity. It gave me a lot of inspiration!

そう言ってもらえるとうれしいな。僕も寛騎から刺激をもらっているよ。黎斗が飛彩や大我ではなく研修医の永夢に惹かれたのは、永夢がゲームの天才だからだけど、寛騎が医師であり天才ゲーマーという二面性をしっかり見せていなければ、僕の芝居も成り立たなかった。

Iwanaga: I'm glad to hear you say that. I'm also inspired by Hiroki. The reason why Kuroto was attracted to Emu, an intern, and not Hiiro or Taiga is because Emu is a genius at games, but my performance wouldn't have been possible if Hiroki hadn't shown his duality as a doctor and a genius gamer.

僕は "���夢" になれているかな?

Iijima: Do you think I'm becoming Emu?

うん。主役の寛騎が振り幅を広げてくれているおかげで、僕たちも違和感なく演じられる。それに、アフレコでもたくさん影響を受けているよ。なかでもダブルアクションゲーマーたちのかけ合いは神がかっていると思う (笑)。

Iwanaga: Yes. Thanks to Hiroki, who plays the main role, expanding his range, we can play the role without feeling uncomfortable. Also, I've been influenced a lot by the recording. I think the dialogue between the double action gamers is particularly divine (laughs).

ふたつの個性が瞬時に切り替わるからかな？映像ではそう見えるだけで、実際は片方ずつ録ってるんだけど。

Iijima: Is it because the two personalities switch instantly? It just looks like that in the video, but in reality, I recorded one side at a time.

展開が早くて、どっちが出てきたのかわからなくなりそうなのに、寛騎はマイティブラザーズX Xガシャットで分裂したふたりのかけ合いを完盤にこなしている。台本にはないセリフをプラスしてね。

Iwanaga: Even though the story unfolds so quickly that it's almost impossible to tell which one came out, Hiroki manages to complete the dialogue between the two split up by the Mighty Brothers XX Gashat. He even added a few lines that weren't in the script.

スーツアクターさんの動きに合わせてセリフを入れてみてる。こうしたらおもしろいかな、とか考えながら。

Iijima: I'm trying to put in lines that match the movements of the suit actors. I'm thinking about how to make it more interesting.

寛騎はそれを、メモを取らずにぶっつけ本番でやってるわけでしょ?

Iwanaga: And Hiroki is doing it on the spot without taking notes, right?

ペンを忘れるから、メモを取れなくて (苦笑)。

Iijima: I forgot my pen, so I couldn't take notes (chuckles).

よくそんなに覚えられるなって、毎度感心しトいるよ。とっさに思いついたことをやって、何分か後に全部回収していくなんてすごすぎる！あれは寛騎にしかできないワザ。見ていて本当に楽しい。

Iwanaga: I'm always amazed at how you can remember so much. It's amazing how he can do something on the spur of the moment, and then collect it all a few minutes later! That's something that only Hiroki can do. It's really fun to watch.

それは僕も同じ。徹ちゃんが創り上げた仮面ライダーゲンムはレベル1の頃から独特だったけど、ゾンビゲーマーになってからはもう、キレッキレで!!

Iijima: It's the same for me. The Kamen Rider Genm that Tetsu-chan created was unique from the time he was a level 1 character, but after he became a zombie gamer, he was just so sharp!

(笑)

Iwanaga: (laughs).

アフレコのときはみんな身体を動かしながらやってるけど、徹ちゃんはゾンビになりきって演じているでしょ。「この人、やっぱりすごい！」と思う。変身の仕方も強烈で、20話から23話くらいまでは、醸し出している空気が完全にゾンビだった。

Iijima: During post recording, everyone is moving their bodies, but Tetsu-chan is acting as a zombie. I thought, "This guy is amazing!" The way he transformed was also very intense, and from episode 20 to 23, the atmosphere he created was completely zombie-like.

変身といえば、エグゼイドの変身もすごくない？わりと大きなモーションなのに、ガシャットが毎回ちゃんとゲーマドライバーに収まってる。

Iwanaga: Speaking of transformations, isn't Ex-Aid's transformation amazing? Even though the motions are rather large, the gashat fits into the gamer driver properly every time.

なんとなく感覚で振り上げて、「この辺だ！」って挿してる (笑)。

Iijima: I just kind of swing it up by feel and say, "It's around here!" (laughs).

毎回ほぼ一発でOKが出てるよね。

Iwanaga: You can get an OK with one shot almost every time.

ガシャットを2本同時に揮すときは、たまにハズしちゃう。2本入れるのはやっぱり難しくて。

Iijima: When I try to use two gashats at the same time, sometimes I miss, because it's hard to put two gashats together.

それはそうだよね (笑)!

Iwanaga: That's true (laughs)!

相乗効果で盛り上がった20〜23話

Episodes 20-23 were exciting due to synergistic effects.

初めて会ったときの徹ちゃんは、完壁な紳士に見えた。それが黎斗の "ザ•若社長"という印象になって、悪っていう面はまったく見えなかったのに……人間って怖いね。18話で永夢にゲーム病の告知をしたシーンなんて、本当に恐ろしくて (笑)。

Iijima: When I first met Tetsu-chan, he seemed like a perfect gentleman. That gave me the impression that Kuroto was "the young president", and I didn't see the evil side of him at all… People are scary. The scene where he told Emu about the game disease in episode 18 was really scary (laughs).

寛騎のお気に入りって言ってたね。

Iwanaga: You said that was a favorite of yours.

演じていてすごく楽しかったから。ゲーム病だと知らされることは、患者にとっては最後通告みたいなものなのに、徹ちゃんはサラリとではなくがっつり言ったでしょ。永夢からすると「お前はもうゲームオーバー」と言われてるのと同じだから、あのとき、本当に泣きそうになっていて。

Iijima: It was a lot of fun to play. Being told that you have game sickness is like an ultimatum for the patient, but you said it firmly, not smoothly. To Emu, it was like being told, "It's game over for you," and he was on the verge of tears.

そこまで響いていたなんて、うれしいね。

Iwanaga: I'm glad it resonated with you that much.

黎斗が狂い始めてからは、どこまでいっちゃうんだろうと思いながらも目が離せなかったよ。18話でバグスターを回にするという非情さを見せたり、永夢に真実を突きつけたときは、さすがにもう出し尽くしただろうって思ったんだけど、その後も僕の予想をはるかに超えてきて(笑)。

Iijima: When Kuroto started going crazy, I couldn't take my eyes off of him, wondering how far he would go. In episode 18, he showed his ruthlessness by turning the bugster around, and when he confronted Emu with the truth, I thought he had already exhausted himself, but he continued to exceed my expectations (laughs).

ふふふ (微笑)。

Iwanaga: Fufufu (smiles).

23話では服を破るし。

Iijima: In episode 23, he ripped off his clothes.

1月末に海辺で4時間近く裸で過ごしたんだよ。あれはキツかった！風は強いし寒いし、でも島肌は立てられないしで、テンションを保つのに一苦労。

Iwanaga: I spent almost four hours naked at the beach at the end of January. That was hard! It was windy and cold, but I couldn't stand the goosebumps, and it was hard to keep the tension up.

セクシーだったよ (笑)。

Iijima: It was sexy (laughs).

台本には書かれていなくて直前に脱ぐって聞かされたから、胸筋を鍛える器具を現場に持って行って、待ち時間にあわてて筋トレしたんだよ (笑)。

Iwanaga: It wasn't written in the script, but I was told right before that I was going to take off my clothes, so I brought some equipment to the scene to train my pecs and rushed to do some muscle training while waiting (laughs).

筋肉ってすぐにつくもの？

Iijima: Do muscles build quickly?

いや完全に悪あがき (笑)。しかも、僕がやっているとみんなが興味を持って器具を持っていっちゃうもんだから、ほとんどトレーニングできなくて。

Iwanaga: No, it was completely a bad idea (laughs). Moreover, when I was doing it, people would get interested and take the equipment, so I could hardly train.

Iijima: (laughs)

21話から23話の撮影は、毎回叫んでいたり、寒い思いをしたりで大変だったけど、みんなの相乗効果で盛り上がれたよね。以前はなかったことだから、「僕たち進化してる!」って実感したよ。

Iwanaga: The filming of episodes 21 to 23 was tough because we were screaming and cold every time, but the synergy between everyone made it exciting. This was something that had never happened before, so I felt like, "We're evolving!"

現場の雰囲気が変わってきたのは、黎斗が17話でバガモンを消して、永夢にゲーム病の告京をしたあたりからだと思う。絡みのシーンが増えたこともあるけど、僕自身も徹ちゃんの振り切った芝居に触発されて、変わっていった気がする。

Iijima: I think the atmosphere on set started to change when Kuroto erased Burgmon in episode 17 and told Emu about his game sickness. We had more scenes involving each other, but I think I also changed because I was inspired by Tetsu-chan's over-the-top acting.

当初の黎斗と永夢は上っ面の会話だったけど、お互いに命を懸けてる感が出てきた頃から僕と寛騎の距離感も変わってきたよね。

Iwanaga: In the beginning, Kuroto and Emu were just talking on the surface, but when we started to feel like we were risking our lives for each other, the distance between me and Hiroki started to change.

対面する芝居がすごくやりやすくなったと思う。「黎斗は最悪の人間すぎる!」と思ったら、自然にセリフが出てきて (笑)。

Iijima: I think it made it much easier to do the face-to-face act. I thought, "Kuroto is a terrible person!" and then the lines just came out naturally (laughs).

僕のセリフもどんどん狂っていくし (笑)。

Iwanaga: My lines are getting crazier and crazier (laughs).

永夢の心は水晶だから、黎斗の言うことをいちいち真に受けて傷つくんだよ。おかげで感情の幅も広がったけど。

Iijima: Emu's heart is a crystal, so he takes every word Kuroto says seriously and gets hurt. Thanks to this, though, he has a wider range of emotions.

23話はいろいろな意味で印象に残る回だよね。

Iwanaga: Episode 23 is a memorable episode in many ways.

黎斗があそこまで振り切ってくるとは想像もしていなかったけどね。でも今になって思うと、僕は23話の徹ちゃんの芝居にものすごく影響を受けてる。仮面ライダーはみんな命を懸けたギリギリのところで戦っているわけだけど、あれ以降は画面いっぱいにいてそういった状況を表現できるようになったよ。 『仮面戦隊ゴライダー』では、ギリギリの芝居ができたと思う。アフレコにしても、声が枯れてもいいから全力を出し切ろうという想いで挑むことができたし、気持ち的にも、目の前で命を絶とうとしている友達を引き止めるような、切羽詰まった状況に自分を追い込んで演じていたから。

Iijima: I never imagined that Kuroto would go that far out of his way. But now that I think about it, I was really influenced by Tetsu-chan's performance in episode 23. All the Kamen Riders are fighting on the edge of their lives, and after that, I was able to express those situations by being on the screen. In "Kamen Sentai Gorider", I think I was able to act on the edge. Even in postrecording, I was able to give it my all, even if my voice was dying, and emotionally, I put myself in a desperate situation, like holding back a friend who was about to take his own life.

気迫がすごかったね。あのとき僕は別録りだったんだけど、寛騎の声を聴くだけで録っている風景が想像できたもの。

Iwanaga: His spirit was amazing. I was recording separately at the time, but just by listening to Hiroki's voice, I could imagine the scene we were recording.

徹ちゃんのキレッキレな演技から役者魂を学んだからこそ、できた芝居だよ。

Iijima: It's a play that I was able to do because I learned the spirit of an actor from Tetsu-chan's racy acting.

そう言ってもらえるとうれしいよ。そういえば、23話で黎斗がゲームオーバーになった後、永夢は泣いてくれたよね。すごくステキなシーンだった。

Iwanaga: I'm glad you said that. By the way, after Kuroto's game over in episode 23, Emu cried for him. It was a very beautiful scene.

あそこは泣きやすかった。

Iijima: It was easy to cry there.

僕が���れているシーンを思い出しながらやったって間いたけど。

Iwanaga: You said you did it while remembering the scene where I was rampaging.

そのシーンが本当に印象深くて！あの黎斗を思い出したら、涙も自然にあふれてきて.....。

Iijima: That scene really left a deep impression on me! When I remembered that Kuroto, tears naturally welled up in my eyes...

ありがとう、僕のお芝居で泣いてくれて。とてもうれしい。

Iwanaga: Thank you for crying at my performance. I'm very happy.

こうやって話すと、僕たち、お互いにいい影響を与え合っていると思わない？

Iijima: Don't you think we have a good influence on each other when we talk like this?

うん、間違いないね。

Iwanaga: Yeah, no doubt.

互いに補い合える関係

A mutually complementary relationship

徹ちゃんはいい意味で考え方が人とは違うと思うんだよね。

Iijima: I think Tetsu-chan's way of thinking is different from others in a good way.

そう？どのあたりが!？

Iwanaga: Yeah? What part of it!?

例えば、目の前のレコーダーを見た時、僕だったら録音する機器だと認識しておしまいなんだけど、徹ちゃんは「盗聴器が入ってるかもしれない」なんて突飛な考えを三つも四つも同時に思いつくでしょ。

Iijima: For example, when I saw the recorder in front of me, I would have thought it was a recording device and that would have been the end of it, but Tetsu-chan would have come up with three or four outlandish ideas at the same time, like, "It might have a listening device in it."

確かに、そういうところはある。

Iwanaga: Indeed, there is such a thing.

頭の使い方が違うから、一緒にいると「こういう神え方もあるんだ!」ってことに気づける。言いえれば、凝り固まらずにいられるってことだよね。

Iijima: We have different ways of using our brains, so when we're together, we can realize, "There's another way to do it!" In other words, we can be less rigid.

僕にしてみれば、寛騎が普通のことを話してくれるから、どれだけ考えが散らかったり話が噛み合わなくなっても方向修正ができて助かる。

Iwanaga: For me, Hiroki's ability to talk about normal things helps me to correct my direction no matter how scattered my thoughts become or how much I lose my way.

そうか、考えすぎちゃうと、まとめるのに苦労するのか (笑)。

Iijima: I see. If I think too much, I'll have a hard time putting it all together (laughs).

自分では一本の筋に従って散りばめて話しているつもりでも、相手には関連性がないことを話しているように聞こえるみたいで。でも寛騎みたいに突っ込んでくれる人がいれば、自由に話せる (笑)。

Iwanaga: Even though I think I'm talking in a coherent manner, it sounds like I'm talking about unrelated things to the other person. But if there's someone like Hiroki who is willing to go into it, I can talk freely (laughs).

頭がいいのも大変だね(笑)。

Iijima: It's hard to be smart (laughs).

Iwanaga: (laughs)

実は、そんな徹ちゃんに聞いてみたいことがあって。「君は水晶のようだね」っていうセリフに、黎斗のどんな気持ちを込めているのかなって。

Iijima: Actually, there was something I wanted to ask you. I wondered what kind of feelings Kuroto was expressing in the line, "You're like a crystal."

そうだな... たぶん 黎斗は、純粋で素直な永夢のことを'シンテレラのお姉さん'みたいな気持ちで見ているんだよ。

Iwanaga: Yeah, well... Maybe Kuroto sees the pure and honest Emu as a kind of 'Cinderella oneesan'.

どういうこと!?

Iijima: What do you mean!?

彼女たちがシンデレラを憎いと思うのは、シンデレラが素直でかわいいから。

Iwanaga: Some girls hate Cinderella because she is straightforward and cute.

...なるほど!

Iijima: ...I see!

黎斗も本当は純粋であリにいと思っていたんじゃないかな。揺るぎないオ能があれば、彼も水晶のままでいらわたはず。でもさらなるオ能を持つ永夢が現れて、そのすごさを目の当たリにした披は、泯乱してしまった 。しかも、そんな自分を汚れていると故盤してしまって。黎斗はきつと、そんな自分が嫌でたまらなかったんだよ。

Iwanaga: I think Kuroto really wanted to be pure, too. With his unshakable talent, he could have stayed crystal. But when Emu, who had even more talent, showed up and he saw how amazing he was, he became confused. In addition, he thought he was dirty. I'm sure Kuroto hated himself for that.

うわ... たとえがうますぎる!!

Iijima: Ugh... Too good to be true!

自分か欲しかったもの、お金じゃ手に入らないものを永夢はすべて持っている。 黎斗にはそれが悔しくてたまらない。 「君は水晶のようだね」っていうセリフには、黎斗のそんな想いが込められている。

Iwanaga: Emu has all the things that he wanted, things that money can't get. Kuroto can't help but feel frustrated by this. The line, "You're like a crystal," reflects Kuroto's feelings.

そう考えると、央决いセリフだね。

Iijima: When you think about it, that's a great line.

ちよつと古めかしいけどね(笑)。

Iwanaga: It's a bit old-fashioned, though. (laughs)

それも個性的でいいと思う。役活後の黎斗と永夢は、形勢が若干変わっているようだけど...。

Iijima: I think it's also unique. After the resurrection, Kuroto and Emu seem to be in a slightly different situation…

永夢が微妙に上から目線だよね。

Iwanaga: Emu is subtly uptight, isn't he?

そう、そう(笑)。ふたりの関係性は、今後どんな風に変わっていくと思う？

Iijima: Yes, yes (laughs). How do you think the relationship between the two will change in the future?

新・檀 黎斗はバグスターとして復活して、当面は「仕方ないから」くらいのノリで永夢たちに協力するけど、その後は現段階では想像がつかないね。

Iwanaga: The new Dan Kuroto will be resurrected as a bugster, and for the time being, he'll cooperate with Emu and the others in an "I don't have a choice" kind of way, but after that, it's hard to imagine at this point.

永夢としては、罪を償ってもらいたい一方で、人を楽しませるエンターテインメント性は忘れてほしくない。正気に戻って、危険のない楽しいゲームを提供してもらうことが永夢の願望だと思うな。

Iijima: As Emu, while I want him to atone for his crimes, I don't want him to forget the value of entertaining people. I think it's Emu's desire to have him come to his senses and provide us with a fun, danger-free game.

永夢に「罪を償ってください」って言われても、黎斗自身は悪いことをしたとは思っていないからね。 すぐには噛み合わないんじゃないかな。 もっとも、楽しいゲームをつくりたい気持ちは今もあるはずだから、利害が一致すれば、エグゼイドたちに協力する道もあると思う。

Iwanaga: Even if Emu asks him to atone for his sins, Kuroto himself doesn't think he did anything wrong. I don't think they'll mesh right away. However, I'm sure he still wants to make a fun game, so if their interests coincide, there is a way for him to cooperate with Ex-Aid.

黎斗と天才ゲーマーの（西馬）ニコちゃんが手を組む可能性はないかな。

Iijima: I wonder if there's any chance that Kuroto and the genius gamer Nico-chan will team up.

ニコちゃんは年収1億の天才ゲーマーだもんね。それはありかも!

Iwanaga: Nico is a genius gamer with a hundred million dollars in annual income. Maybe that's possible!

ふたりが手を組めば、誰もクリアできないゲームができると思う。今後の展開的にもストーリー的にも、いい結果が生まれる気がする。

Iijima: I think that if the two of us work together, we can create a game that no one else can clear. I feel that this will produce good results in terms of future development and story.

黎斗が消えるときにも言ってくれたけど、永夢は黎斗が復活した後も、才能を生かしてほしいと思ってるんだよね。

Iwanaga: As you said when Kuroto disappeared, Emu wants him to use his talent even after Kuroto is resurrected.

うん、永夢はそういうヤツだから。黎斗や誰かになんと思われようと、笑顔にしたいという気持ちは持ち続けるはずだよ。

Iijima: Yes, Emu is that kind of person. No matter what Kuroto or anyone else thinks of him, he will always have the desire to make people smile.

黎斗だって、永夢には堂々と、自分のやりたいようにやってほしいと思っているはず。なんたって永夢は、黎斗が長年嫉妬し続けた相手だからね。

Iwanaga: I'm sure that even Kuroto wants Emu to be able to do what he wants to do with impunity. After all, Kuroto has been jealous of Emu for years.

たからそうか、そういう見方もあるんだ。

Iijima: So that's one way to look at it.

黎斗を演じる僕自身も、永夢には信念を貫いてどんどん成長してほしいと思うし、そんな永夢を一寛騎がどう見せていくのか、楽しみが尽きないよ。

Iwanaga: I myself, who play Kuroto, would like to see Emu follow his beliefs and grow more and more, and I can't wait to see how Hiroki will show him.

僕は黎斗との微妙な関係から生まれる芝居からたくさんのことを学んできたので、今後もいい味を出していけたらと思ってる！欲を言えば、子どもたちを楽しませている黎斗を見てみたいな(笑)。

Iijima: I've learned a lot from my subtle relationship with Kuroto, so I hope I can continue to bring out the best in him! If I were to be greedy, I'd like to see Kuroto entertaining children (laughs).

Iwanaga: If I may make a wish, I would like to see Emu being fawned over by girls (lol). Because I think he'd set a good example of how to be popular, by being nice to them instead of being pushy like Hiiro.

Season 4, Episode 4 - Mr Pigeon 72

I have no idea where to start. This episode has some good things and some extremely stupid.

Marinette isn't still completely fine, but I prefer when she deals with it through being hyperactive than being a whining crybaby.

I know people don't agree with me, but personally I don't buy the whole revealing identity to Alya. It's not a problem with Alya herself, I would say the same about every single character who is not named Alix Kubdel at this point of the story. I haven't written anything in my post about Gang of Secrets, because I thought it would be undone in some way at the start of the next episode. The creators did nothing to explain why revealing identity of Ladybug to anyone was super dangerous and would result in a catastrophe in seasons 1-3 and the first two episodes of S4, but it's magically fine in episode 3. Only Alix made sense to me, as she will be the rabbit Miraculous holder, so she is destined to discover identities of everyone sooner or later and Marinette is aware of that. While it's not necessary to learn identity of anyone to other temporary Miraculous wielders, including Alya. Also that reveal hasn't been foreshadowed in season 3, while the show usually does it, especially if it's about something as important as that! More, in late S3, it's been shown that Alya still can't resist to not talking about Marinette's love life with Nino, despite she asked her to not do it. Now the girl, who is overly excited about superhero stuff, has no problems with even accidental revealing anything to Nino or someone else. She's even "stealing" Bunnix line that she's great at keeping secrets (sorry but you, the creators, haven't shown us that she's indeed is before!). This is why I think that reveal hasn't been planned before they started writing season 4.

But okay, I can deal with it, even if I don't buy it, but things these happened in Mr. Pigeon 72 are even more inconsistent with previous seasons. I have been worried about it, so it doesn't surprised me. For some reason Guardian related-things that have been kept in a secret before from everyone minus current Guardian and the future Guardian, are now fine being done in front of Kwamis (remember, they haven't been allowed to learn about making potions before!) and a civilian who is just a temporal Miraculous holder, not someone who is supposed to be trained to be a new Guardian. You can say - new Guardian, new rules, but why? Marinette has been portrayed as someone who respect authorities, she has never questioned any Fu's rules. It wasn't even said in the episode that she's going to change the rules. I hate that the writers don't even bother to explain us what's going on. Probably they don't bother about consistency, they think the audience is going to be too excited about Alya knowing Ladybug's identity and helping Marinette to question anything about it? How Alya could be allowed to learn the Guardian secrets? She is just best friend of the protagonist, she is not one of the main characters to get that special treatment. I makes zero sense to me. Especially since Su-Han will be introduced in episode 6 and he should help Marinette with understanding the Grimoire, Alya isn't necessary here for any other reason than fanservice.

In my opinion the way how they discovering how to make charms that protects from akumasitation was the most stupid thing that happened this season and one of the most in the whole show. Marinette who is the new Guardiand and portrayed as someone extreme intelligent and creative couldn't find the solution for days, but Alya with zero training magically discovered it in a few hours at worst. And when she told her the solution in not even very clear way, Ladybug did it immediately with no effort. That was so anticlimactic. At least the animation was fine, but other aspects of it was just a big disappointment, and I was looking forward for it. Thank goodness it's just the beginning of the season, I hope later important events of the season will be better written and portrayed.

Also I find it absurd that Rena Rough is walking with a page from the Grimoire like it's just an ordinary book and she's talking about it in front of a random civilian, like things that are written there are nothing special. She or Ladybug are not careful about Miraculous lore anymore. Not to mention that they are giving hints that Rena is very close to Ladybug in public, suspiciously close. And now with them being too careless, that's not hard to suspect that Rena Rouge is someone very close to Ladybug, maybe even as a civilian. Shadow Moth knows Rena Rouge's identity, and it's easy to him to learn who is Alya Cesaire's best friend if he doesn't know it yet, after all his son is in the class with her. Marinette has always been super careful and serious about her duties before, why that sudden change with zero explanation? It's just very out of character to her in my opinion.

I didn't like the akuma battle either, it's now the worst fight of the season in my opinion. It was so short and felt very lazy. I only liked that Plagg got some action and interaction with Ladybug (though it should be suspicious for her that he managed to reach to her that fast). He should be aware now that Alya knows Ladybug's identity but he acts like nothing happened. Not a word about it being unfair towards his kid or something, weird.

Thankfully the rest of the episode is generally more or less fun to me. It was nice to see Marinette and Kagami interacting again. I loved Kagami in the episode, although it was a bit weird to me that she isn't seemed to be affected by her breaking up with Adrien. Like her crush was very shallow, so she managed to recover herself from it very quickly. While it's been shown that Luka is hurt, despite Lukanette always seemed to be much more shallow than Adrigami in my opinion. But maybe it's because she's so down to earth, so being less emotional makes sense for her character. I liked how her attitude was opposite to Marinette's hyperactive: "No, I don't want to be in a relationship with Adrien again, he disappointed me, just let me live!!!". And she's another character who said that Marinette and Adrien are made for each other. I'm not surprised that Kagami sees it now when she tried to be with him and that didn't work. She's observant, sees more than many other characters. It seems she's an Adrienette shipper now. It's also good that her issue with Adrien wasn't resolved that easily and too fast. They need more time, but I'm sure they will be friends again.

So, we've gotten shirtless Adrien. I remember seeing a tweet of Thomas in which he answered to a question if there will be a beach episode and he said we will get something similar. I wonder if he meant this episode. Oh, they just remembered that Adrien is supposed to be allergic to feathers. It seems Adrien has allergic reactions only when it's somewhat related to the plot. When it's not, he's completely fine.

The reference to the famous Umbrella Scene™ out of nowhere in a random episode? It probably means something. I can see "reverse crush" supporters interpreting it as a proof to their theory, especially since this time Adrien did something clumsy and Marinette is laughing because of it (actually both of them). Or maybe because it's the first episode of season 4 with Marinette and Adrien interactions, they decided to be that much gracious for Adrienette fans, to compensate lack of it in the first three episodes. Oh wow, Marinette managed to propose spending more time together to Adrien without stuttering. Probably because she has done it spontaneously. Marinette is the most nervous when she's planning and thinking what could go wrong too much. This time she had no time to it, so it went more smoothly. It's like they building development of their relationship, but it didn't seem in Guiltrip (that's episode 11 chronologically) that something changed.

Seeing screenshot above, you can easily imagine how great friends they could be, being very comfortable around each other and laughing together, if not Marinette's anxiety. We need Adrienette development so much to get more moments like this.

Oh and I just realized that it's also one of the veeeeery few episodes with no real Ladynoir at all (the only other one I remember is Style Queen). So if there was no Adrienette it would be an episode without interactions of two main characters at all (although we almost got Ladrien). It could be another reason why this episode is that nice for Adrien and Marinette ship.

After seeing overly excited Marinette dancing in the rain, I can't believe she can manage completely give up on Adrien. It doesn't look like this at all.

Also we've seen three photos of Adrien wearing THAT scarf. It could not mean nothing different that foreshadowing that he's going to discover the truth about it somewhere this season. But I have no idea what Ladybug's mask with shining eyes could mean.

I don't know what to think about the episode. Despite absurd Guardian-related things, I still liked it much more than Gang of Secrets, but I have no idea if I generally enjoyed it more than other episodes of this season or not. At least it's an episode without stupid drama, which is amazing.

I'm currently less active on social media, because my internet connection is very unstable, it often works very slowly to the point I'm not patient enough to visit Tumblr. Also I block spoiler tags again, because I don't want to see spoilers from the episodes those are going to be released very soon, as I feel that they reveal too much to me once more. We're currently in a marathon of the new episodes and since watching them is the more more enjoyable, the less I know about them, I decided to try avoid spoilers as much as I can. The only bad thing is that I can't be read discussions about the new episodes, reblog them and adding something from me until Optigami will be aired.
