It was all a blur.
One minute I was shooting and killing our enemies, then I got shot and fell to the ground, unable to walk. I couldn't feel my left thigh anymore, and when I looked down at it, blood was spilling out of my wound.
I panicked, and tried to crawl away from more gunfire. I entered a building, making sure no one saw me, and crawled behind a high half wall. As soon as I was safe, I pressed my back against the wall and removed some layers off of me. I ripped the black shirt i was wearing underneath my bulletproof vest and used the fabric to press to my thigh, stopping blood circulation.
It hurt like hell, especially because the bullet was still trapped deep inside my thigh. A tear fell from my eye and down to my cheek, as I looked at my hands, covered in blood just like my gear and the floor.
«Fuck...» I groaned in pain, hitting my head to the wall.
«Blade!» König shouted through the comms, that was my code name. «Where are you?» I could hear his thick German accent, which I was really thankful for. My vision was starting to blur, but at least I had an excellent hearing.
«I... got shot...» I stuttered. «I can't walk, I'm in the.. third building to the left.»
«Scheiße (shit)! Hold on, I'm coming!» he said. «Stay with me, it's nothin'! You got this!»
«I'm soaked in blood... I need...» I let out a heavy breath, my voice cracking and my hands shaking. «Take me back... to the base...»
«Stay with me, Blade, please!» he shouted as he probably noticed my voice lowering its tone, as I also closed my eyes.
I wasn't replying, but heard heavy footsteps entering the building. I hoped it was König, but still, you never know. I quickly grabbed my gun and held it ahead of me, still shaky as hell. A tall figure appeared in front of me, and I did not realize it was actually him at first. My vision was blurry, my eyes filled with tears.
«It's me, Blade! Don't worry, I got you!» König kneeled before me and I let go of the gun, closing my eyes again.
He gently touched my thigh and I whimpered, as it hurt like hell.
«I'm sorry» he apologized. «Let me see, please.»
Though it felt horrible, König had to press on my wound in order to search for the bullet. «We must take it out now, before it... scheiße... before it gets worse!» His english wasn't collaborating, he was nervous. Bless him, he was so anxious.
He suffered from it when he was younger, he'd told me about it. Me an König had such a good friendship, actually. He found confort in me, whenever he was nervous or anxious about something. He would always come to me and talk to me, and I would listen to him for hours. He had just so much to say, and nobody was really ever there to listen, before me.
«I'm really sorry, Blade, but I need to... take these off.» he said, referring to my pants. «I have to take that verfickte (fucking) bullet out of there! I can't...» he stuttered. His voice was trembling and his hands were shaking on my thigh. I looked into his eyes and softly placed one of my hands on top of his.
«It's okay, König...» I whispered. «Just take it out so we can... kill these motherfuckers.»
«Is it okay if... I have to...» he mumbled.
«Just fucking do it already!» I shouted at him. I have never yelled at him before, and I felt kind of bad, especially knowing he was really sensitive under that intimidating and scary facade.
Without a word, he cut the improvised bandage made with my shirt and finally unbuttoned my pants gently taking them off. I saw him not moving for a moment, he just stared at my bare thighs before pulling out of his vest a mini first aid kit. He swallowed hard and opened it, grabbing some tweezers and a disinfectant solution. He sighed and proceeded to slowly dig into my thigh, causing my eyes to close shut and my spine to shiver.
I was losing a huge amount of blood, and König tried to be as gentle as possible with me. He wasn't talking anymore, and I realized it was probably because I scolded him.
«Fuck!» I cried out as he pinched my sensitive skin with the tweezers, without doing it on purpose. His hands were shaking and his breathing was heavy, he didn't dare to look at me.
He was focused on my wound and searched for the damn bullet. I continued to cry out in fucking pain, I couldn't stay still because of the pressure he was putting on me. I writhed under his hands, my hands lifting myself from the floor and my back arching as my head hit the wall again.
He aggressively pushed my hips on the floor with his knee, making me feel trapped under his enormous mass. I looked up to him but he didn't, still trying his best to reach the cause to my pain.
And finally, he caught it. He held it with the tweezers and sighed in relief before putting it aside.
He disinfected my injury, but it burned like hell and I couldn't help but scream in pain. He quickly cupped my mouth with his hand and finally looked into my eyes. Mine filled with tears as I kept groaning on his hand. «Quiet!» he scolded me, this time, with his raspy and aggressive tone. His grasp squeezed my cheeks a little as he continued to pour the disinfectant on my leg.
I grabbed on his forearm tightly, raising my hand on his bicep. I was crying and my breathing was irregular under the grip of his hand covering my mouth. I lifted my healthy leg creating myself a bit of support, placing my arms on my knee, but as soon as I did and my legs were a bit more open, I noticed König's eyes peered between them.
He quickly moved his gaze away and removed his hand from my face, squeezing his eyes while exhaling loudly. He then grabbed a sterile gauze and wrapped it tight around my thigh. He pulled on it two times and looked into my eyes. «Is this tight enough? Is it good?» he asked in a whisper.
I nodded and he cut off the excess. We both exhaled, relieved. I rushed into his arms for a hug. I placed my arms around the back of his neck and held him tightly. I really needed it. «Thank you.» I whispered in his ear. I felt his hands on my ribcage, gently moving towards my waist, a bit unsure. He then wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer.
A few moments later, he whispered: «Let's get revenge on these arschlöcher (assholes).»
I heard a knock at my door and when I looked towards it, König was standing there. «Can I?» he asked.
«Of course, come in.» I welcomed him into my room. He got rid of his gear and wore just his black shirt and cargos. I, on the other hand, was wearing just one of his oversized t-shirts, which he gave to me as soon as we arrived to the base. His scent was on it, and I kept smelling it.
«How are you feeling?» he sat on the bed and gently caressed my knee.
«A lot better, thanks to you, and the doctor.» He took me to the hospital before heading back to our base and the doctors stitched up my wound with six stitches.
I smiled at him as he looked straight into my eyes. I still had an apology to do.
«Konig» I positioned my hand on top of his, caressing it, «I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you earlier.»
He sighed and replied: «Don't worry about it. I know you were panicking in that moment, I understand.»
I smiled at him again and gently asked him a favor. «Could you close the door?»
He nodded and stood up to do so. When he returned to me, I gestured for him to join me in my bed, as we usually did. He lay down next to me and 1 cuddled up to his chest, leaning my head on it. He stroke my hair and pulled me closer, letting out a deep breath. My hand caressed his abdomen and draw small circles on him through his shirt.
It had been a while now that I was starting to realize that my feelings for him went beyond a simple friendship. I opened up about myself and he did the same, I knew him better that anyone else. I knew what a sweetheart he really was, how caring and loving he could be. I exhaled and I decided it was time for me to be truthful.
«König...» I lifted my head up on his chest to look at him. I was very shy around him, though he was the shy one, in reality.
He let out a soft «Mhm?» and looked at me, waiting for me to talk.
«I, uhh...» I mumbled. Fuck it. «I like you. I really do.»
He swallowed loudly and I felt his heart beating faster. He looked away and I thought to myself I fucked everything up'
His gaze returned to my eyes and he softly caressed my cheeks with both of his shaky hands. I lifted myself as best as I could and kept my eyes on his as I pulled his hood up, revealing his lips.
I stroke his sharp and defined jawline feeling the subtle beard on the lower half of his face. I then caressed his bottom lip with my thumb and he did the same with mine. Both of us were shaky as fuck.
«I like you too, y/n.» he said in a whisper that I barely heard. But I sure did. His lips created a smile that infected me, causing my lips to do the same.
His gaze fell to my smile and he finally pulled my face closer to his, kissing me.
He kissed me.
I couldn't believe it.
It all felt like a dream, a beautiful one. His soft and warm lips pressed against mine, his big hands still caressing my cheeks and my neck... goosebumps started running throughout my body. I instantly closed my eyes as our lips connected, and drowned in that heavenly kiss.
One of his hands soon moved down to my spine, wrapping around my body as our kiss intensified.
He tilted his head and grabbed on the back of my neck, causing my head to tilt, too. I leaned over him, and placed one of my hands on the pillow below him, the other one still stroking his neck and jawline.
Our tongues began touching, shy at first... and all of a sudden he started to slowly give me the most passionate kiss in my entire life. Out of all people I've ever kisses, no one was like König. No one compared to him.
Konig raised himself from the pillow he was laying on and towered me with his size, continuing to passionately kiss me as his tongue dominated mine. His hand still firm around the back of my neck, while the other one was gently grabbing and squeezing my waist.
I placed my arms on his shoulders and caressed his head through the hood, pulling him closer. Our kiss continued and, oh. My. God. I didn't expect that from him.
König began lowering his hand down my side, and gently grabbed on my healthy and naked thigh. I was wearing his shirt, but I couldn't wear any pants or shorts since my wound was still too fresh to be compressed.
He squeezed the soft skin of my leg and then he got up, pushing me to lay down on the bed. He lifted my thigh on his hip as he was now on top of me, his tongue still fighting against mine. He was so careful not to hurt my injured leg, which he didn't.
I pulled him closer, gluing his body to mine. I could feel his weight on me, but he made sure he didn't crush me. As my legs were quite spread under his body, his hips pushed towards my crotch, and I felt his... hardness pressing on me through the pants.
My face was burning hot, I was a hundred percent sure I was blushing like an idiot. My heart raced as his hand slid throughout my thigh and gently reached my - well, his - shirt, lifting it a little.
But then, he stopped. He lifted his head and pulled away from our kiss, leaving a trail of our saliva still connect us. I tried to reach for his lips again, but he gently pushed me back.
«Y/n... I don't know if...» he began, but his words soon failed him. «This is... We shouldn't...»
He started to move away, but I pulled him towards me and kissed him. He didn't stop nor backed away from it, so I guess he wanted it, too. This time, our kiss was much more aggressive, almost ravenous, as if neither of us wanted to leave the other's face.
He bought his hand back to my thigh, squeezing it harder than before, and forcefully pulling me towards him.
Konig placed his other hand back to the side of my neck, sending shivers all over my body. I felt his knee press in between my legs, which caused me a soft moan into his mouth. I didn't realize I moaned until his grasp tightened around my leg.
I pulled away from his face for a moment and looked into his eyes as he tried to reach back for my lips, this time. «You said we shouldn't, yet you're not leaving me.» I whispered.
«Fuck, I can't.» he breathed. «You have no idea what you're doing to me, schätzchen.»
I loved when he gave me German nicknames, he often did.
He kissed me back and caressed my thigh, lifting my shirt again. This time, he finally took it off and admired my almost naked body, taking a deep breath. His lips were glossy and red, also a bit swollen, and I could see his cheeks turn reddish, too. His eyes glared throughout my body, still covered by my underwear.
Konig shook his head and placed his hands on his eyes, sliding them on top of his head right after.
His anxiety was eating him alive, I could tell he was nervous. I lifted myself and gently sat on the bed, looking up to him. I caressed his waist and hips trying to reassure him, but that probably didn't help; instead, it made him even more nervous... and hard.
His pants were tight around the shape of his now rock-hard member. I thought I could make him relax a bit... but he just grabbed my wrists and threw me back down on the bed.
He pushed himself against my entrance, through the pants, causing me to groan softly. He began kissing my neck and that made me weak. At that point, I let him do whatever he wanted with me.
I grabbed on the back of his neck, digging my fingers inside his hood and feeling his hair. I gently stroke him under the mask, as he lowered his warm lips down my collarbone. My back arched towards him and he squeezed my waist, pulling my crotch closer to his.
I bit my bottom lip and moaned again as his lips were exploring my chest. His hand lifted from my waist straight to my back and he unbuttoned my bra, throwing it away. He seemed mesmerized by my naked breasts and took a moment to stare at them before feeling, touching and kissing them. I felt him sucking on my skin, leaving his marks all over me.
His wet tongue traced a path from my breasts across my abdomen to my lower belly. He reached the seam of my panties and looked up into my eyes.
«May I?» he searched for my consent.
«Yes...» I whispered, lifting my hips towards him. «Please, König...» I got a little too excited.
Hearing me beg for him probably only turned him on even more. And it also turned me on.
He let out a heavy breath, hooking his thumb into the side of my already wet panties and pulling them to the side to expose my soaked cunt to his eyes.
Using his index and middle finger, he parted my lips and began exploring me. I was a fucking mess already, wriggling and arching my back over nothing, and he seemed to enjoy it.
As his fingers were still keeping my lips spread, he stuck his tongue out and slid it on my clit. I flinched and moaned softly at the feeling of his warm tongue on me, but König soon gripped on my good leg to keep me still. He continued to stimulate me licking my cunt up and down, as his tongue collected my juices. He pulled his tongue back into his mouth to let the taste of me sit on it.
My eyes were glossy and felt heavy as I tried to look at him. He glared at me but soon returned to my intimacy after whispering a soft «Köstlich (delicious.»
He created circular motions on my clit that felt extremely good, I threw my head back unable to keep it on him. I arched my back and grasped tightly on the sheets, whimpering and squirming under his touch and stimulation. His hard tongue inflicted torture on me, but soon his mouth completely enveloped my clit, sucking and pulling on it.
How on earth was he so good at it?
I knew I wasn't going to last, I was too sensitive after a very long time not having this kind of treatment to please me. All I could do was moan loudly and let my body release my cum right into his mouth. He didn't even notice it, instead continued to give me pleasure despite my body starting to relax.
König was hungrily eating me out, and he seemed to be far from done. My inner thighs felt soaked around the lower half of his face, as he spread my legs a little more, carefully making sure my injured left thigh was okay. My dizzy mind, though, couldn't feel anything else apart from the extreme bliss König was causing me.
He removed his mouth for a moment and slid his middle finger inside of my hole, unsure of how to move. When I sensed his slight unease, I grabbed on his wrist and moved his hand in and out of me, soon leaving it to him. His finger started to search deep inside of me, stimulating my g-spot, that caused me to moan heavily.
König was a fast learner.
He was soon confident enough and added his ring finger, pushing both deeper. My legs were shaking at the overstimulation König was procuring me. My vision started to blur, my hands were grasping the sheets hysterically and my whimpers were getting louder and louder as his tongue returned to my clit.
I was going crazy, high of him. My heartbeat was pulsing in my throat, I've never felt like that. His head pressed between my trembling thighs, his tongue swirling around my most sensitive spot and his fingers digging deep inside my pussy.
His other hand was wrapped tight around my good leg, his nails began poking into my soft skin. I could already see the marks he left all over my body, starting from my neck and lowering to my legs. I wasn't able to speak clearly, just whimpers and pleasured groans coming out of my mouth.
König's fingers soon came out of me, drenched of my thick cum, and moved all the way up to my sore clit. He lifted my hips a little, placing his hand below my lower back and continuing to please me.
But I couldn't resist more.
«König...» I muttered, not able to finish my sentence. I closed my eyes and allowed myself to release everything I was holding inside of me. And so it was the second time König made me cum, with a loud orgasm. He collected my cum with his fingers and licked the rest of it from my cunt, swallowing it. He licked his fingers and when I looked at him, a trail of my sticky cum was connecting his two fingers and his lips. He then cleaned everything with his tongue.
Fuck.
Wow. Just, wow. I was breathless, my arms high above my head, my legs now closed and the sheets below me soaked in my wetness. Jesus Christ.
König approached me and gently caressed my waist, while kissing my neck. I knew he wanted more, and I did too, but... damn. I needed a moment to stabilize myself.
«How are you feeling, geliebte (sweetheart)?» he whispered. «Did I do a good job?» He dared to ask.
Catching my breath, I looked into his eyes and caressed his cheek. «I feel absolutely fantastic, König... you did fucking... perfect.»
He loved to hear that. I knew he needed reassurance and words of affirmation, so I praised him. He kissed my cheek and got back to my neck.
God, this man's stamina was by no means over yet.
I felt he could go on and on for hours, and we both really needed it. I could take him, I wanted to, I needed to. I desperately needed him to do the nastiest things to me, with me.
Konig began kissing my neck again, slightly biting on my skin, causing me to shiver and whimper softly. But I lifted myself up and pushed him away from my neck. I looked up into his eyes and as he walked away, I dragged him closer, pulling him by the waistband of his pants.
I felt his evident erection under my fingers, and I finally unbuttoned his pants, pulling the zipper down. This was going to be a long night...

Since it is self-indulgence Saturday, even though this is not podcast girls related in its entirety, I decided to follow in Kate's footsteps and post the outline for a Wolf 359 PMV I have been thinking about for years but can't make to shake everyone by the shoulders and say "do you understand my vision".
It's set to Marianas Trench's "Masterpiece Theatre III." If you are asking yourself 'Hey Kat was this inspired by that one really big lyricst-" what about it. The first and last lines are perfect fits when taken literally, idk what to tell you.
I got a new disease in me Eiffel coughing, Hilbert offering ‘nicotine’ lozenges I got a friend that's losing sleep Hilbert bent over a microscope, Minkowski’s silhouette peering in through the lab door I take it hard, it's hard to take Minkowski frowning and writing a letter starting with Dear Dominik I'm wide awake Hera surrounded by screens showing all three of those previous scenes I'm wide awake Outside shot of the station framed against the star
One more confession, Eiffel speaking into the recorder discretion's not what I need to sell his words broadcasting into deep space I never needed a reason for keeping secrets from myself Anne’s photo taped under his console And now that's just how I tell Hilbert leaning over Eiffel’s shoulder as music plays. Hilbert’s gaze flicks toward him I'm wide awake Eiffel with the gas mask surrounded by knockout gas
I'll wreck this if I have to Minkowski outside the station pounding on the airlock door Tell me what good would that do Eiffel lighting his last cigarette I'll wreck this if I have to Hilbert ripping out Hera’s personality matrix
(I'd be so good to you) Carter shaking Dmitri Volodin’s hand in his Russian apartment (I'd be so good to you) Rachel introducing Minkowski to Hilbert as her science officer at Canaveral
You get separated, somebody's gone Eiffel playing chess with the auto program And I don't know how this is wrong The crew arguing over Hilbert, Hera with a skull speech bubble and Eiffel with handcuffs And I'm so frustrated, falling behind Disheveled Minkowski hunting the plant monster You were a friend of mine Lovelace pushing Hilbert up against the wall, her hands around his throat
I'd be so good to you Lovelace taking Hilbert to lunch at her insistence 'Cause they don't know you like I do Flashbacks to Lovelace’s mission They don't know you like I do Lovelace horrified seeing Eiffel getting sick, flashback to Lambert sick the same way They don't know you like I do Hera viewing Eiffel in the medbay through her screens, a bunch of metrics on blood ox, heartrate, etc. pulled up They don't know you like I do The whole crew staring at the comms as it speaks with Eiffel’s voice
*** Instrumentals: Star changes color ***
There's a difference from me to them Lovelace shoving Minkowski out of the way and getting impaled And the road home is paved in star fuckers requiem Eiffel desperately piloting the rickety shuttle I can never go, go back home again Lovelace’s monitor flatlining (Acadia is gone) Acadia is gone The shuttle exploding and disappearing into the distance
All my indecision, all of my excess Don't you ever tell me I'm not loving you best Cutter in his swanky office receiving the distress call, juxtaposed with Minkowski, breath puffing out from the cold, placing the call. Cutter is dominant in the visuals, with Minkowski as an afterthought And I just need a minute, I just need a breath It's very hard to drink to my continued success and I, I will Rachel Young handing a mission dossier to a shadowy figure. Again Hera’s schematics showing the percentage of the station systems in crisis are present but pushed to the side, peripheral slow down, slow Eiffel half dead slumped over the shuttle console It's better in the worst way The Urania overshadows Eiffel’s shuttle It's getting better in the worst way SI5 looming over him in the open hatch, smiling unpleasantly
(Look around, round, look around, round, look around) (Look around, round, look around, round, look around) (Look around, round, look around, round, look around) (Look around, round, look around, round, look around) Timelapse showing an external view of the station changing – original layout, stress fractures, Urania parked next to it, wing getting blown off (rip Blessie… or not???), Urania getting integrated into the structure
So here's another day, I'll spend away from you Minkowski floating leaning her head against a window. Maybe holding a wedding ring Another night I'm on another broken avenue Eiffel’s mugshot on the console Trading in who I've been for shiny celebrity skin Hilbert getting his wrist slammed in the drawer, his careful samples going flying I like to push it and push it until my luck is over Lovelace staring down Kepler over the chess board
I wonder what you're doing, I wonder if you doubt it Kepler sipping his scotch and gesturing to it, presumably giving The Whiskey Speech. Maxwell and Jacobi in the background pretending to gag I wonder how we used to ever go so long without it Kepler handing Jacobi his business card at the bar All the work to impress, charming girls out of their dresses Maxwell at Hyperion’s house with Kepler surrounded by fancy readouts Smiling pretty and pretty Maxwell and Hera looking at each other on the mindscape beach
I am right beside you, right (I thought you wanted me) (What you want, what you need) Jacobi outside pounding on the capsule, Jacobi inside horrified, Maxwell indecisive I am right beside you, right (I thought you wanted me) Lovelace and Hilbert vs the dentist chair from hell (What you want, what you need) Minkowski attempting to phone home I'll make this perfect again Minkowski slamming her fist into her palm in the hidden room, decision to mutiny (I thought you wanted me) (What you want, what you need) (Cross my heart, I hope to die, hope to die) If I burn out and slip away Lovelace tied to a chair next to Eiffel in the armory, expression defiant. Countdown ticking over the image: 10, 9, 8, 7, 3, 2, 1. When the countdown gets to 1, Lovelace closes her eyes. (What you want, what you need) (Cross my heart, I hope to die, hope to die) (I thought you wanted me) (What you want, what you need) You're beautiful, you are A bloodspattered Lovelace’s eyes snapping open as she’s wreathed in blue light
I've been here so very long Eiffel facing Bob in the hotel room. Stars popping up in Bob's speech bubble to indicate the many systems they've done this with (I could slip into you, it's so easy to come back into you) Restraining bolted crewmembers smiling at an imprisoned Lovelace I'll hide it, can I hide in you a while? Eiffel screaming at a Pryce-piloted Minkowski through the airlock/ the two of them escaping into the vents (I'm not sick of you yet, is that as good as it gets?) Lovelace and Jacobi firing on the Sol capsule with the launcher I never took you for a trick but Lovelace and Kepler staring each other down over the negotiations table sometimes I don't know what you want Cutter and Minkowski superimposed over them I could take it if you need to take this out on someone Rapidfire: Minkowski sending Eiffel home, Jacobi’s fight with Reimann, Lovelace shooting Minkowski, Kepler in the airlock (And this is just the part I portray) Hera in the mindscape facing off against Pryce with Eiffel behind her (And this is just the part I portray) The picture dissolving into shards strobed with jagged electricity I don't know how it got this way Picture resolving into Doug holding a recorder in his hand

Tumblr media
There were bad ideas, really bad ideas and then there was this.
The ship hums under her feet as it trudges through the far corner of the mid rim, chugging along on it’s route without any sign of trouble or disruption from it’s preplanned course.
It should have been a routine pillaging, something she had placed firmly in the ‘great ideas’ list but instead it had turned into a routine mutiny and finished the day as a routine marooning. She sighs as she lays her head back against the seamless panel behind her.
Fucking pirates.
She has been stranded on the old freighter for at least two moons, but it was hard to say with certainty. The droids that man the ship have no need to eat so more often than not they forget to pass along anything to keep her mounting hunger at bay, adding along to the lack of any kind of panel to the outside world, getting her bearings is proving to be more difficult than usual.
She hisses a swear to drown out the low growl of her belly and focuses her gaze on the far corner of the room. Another day, another chance to count the diamond shaped tiles above her cell, she swears the number changes every other time she counts. She doesn’t get farther than eighteen when the door of the maintenance room blows open.
The dust fills the room, hiding everything under its grimy shadow. The grit in the air crackles as it’s pushed against the red of the electron walls that keep her prisoner with the ships cooling coils and a water filtration unit that has calcified and has never been fixed.
"Well look at that, we found it! Lucky break!"
"Luck had nothing to do with it, if you had studied the schematics of this cruiser like I had asked-"
"Yeah yeah yeah." The first figure, a hulking shadow in the doorway brushes off the smaller one as he stomps into the suddenly too tiny room.
"The memory core should be at the end of the-" the smaller of the two figures stops in front of her cell as the big one charges towards the end of the room without stopping. They launch themselves into the piles of junk thrown haphazardly inside, "That's concerning."
"Concerning? You see someone in a cage and you go with ‘concerning’?" She replies as she pulls herself up to standing. She takes in his armor, modified clone armor from the looks of it painted pale with a bright red stripe down his chest, his eyes slightly magnified by the goggles on his face, the rest hidden by the elongated helmet.
"According to the intel we were provided there weren't supposed to be life forms aboard." He seems irritated to see her.
"Good old Republic intel, still living up to its reputation."
The other clone approaches, he rips open the metal box in his hands and yanks out the core as if the casing was made of thick flimsy and nothing more, "I've got the thing, time to go!"
She watches, dumbstruck for a moment as her ticket out starts to head for the gaping maw that used to be a door, "Wait, you're taking the old database?" The two of them stop and turn, "It's not complete! It's missing pieces of the coordinates!" Firefek she didn't want to sound desperate but she was.
"Likely story-" The big one chuckles.
"I was trying to steal it too, I almost got all of it before my crew turned on me!"
"A mercenary or a pirate? No matter, I trust you even less now."
She had never wanted to punch anyone's face as hard as she wanted to punch his, "Check the core Goggles, I swear to you! It's missing pieces!" He hesitates and in that baited pause she knows she has him, "Please, just let me out and drop me off wherever you dock next. You can have my data chip. No harm, no foul, just get me out."
The one with the goggles glares at her, the yellow tinted transparisteel of his visor snapping downl before he turns to the bigger man. Klaxons ring all around as he scans the core with a handheld device, but it's taking up time they do not have.
The two clones share a look, silently deciding her fate.
The bigger one caves first, "Aww c'mon Tech, we can't leave her! You saw what's on this ship, she'll be a goner on some mining planet!"
"Under normal circumstances I might agree but she's caged for a purpose, and I'm disinclined to put any trust in her."
"How much damage can she do? She’s smaller than you are!"
Tech, the one in the goggles, sighs before he turns back around to face her, "If we spring you, you play by our rules. You follow our orders, no complaints, no rebuttals and if you put one toe out of line-"
"Out the airlock, understood." She nods furiously, hands pressed against the panel as she watches Tech short out the electron wall holding her hostage, the panel shudders and then it spews sparks on to the ground as the red fades and she's finally able to step through.
"Lets go shortie!"
"Wait, let me just grab-" She scrambles to the other side of the wall, trying to pull at something from the top of a shelf. The bigger clone reaches over and tosses the crate to the floor. She throws open the top and snatches out a bantha leather bag and a helmet.
"Run!"
Tech doesn't have to tell her twice, the three of them bolt out of the door and into the corridor, the lights above flash in time with the klaxons. There is a low rumble that joins the hum of the hyperspace engine, as whatever security droids are on board begin to activate.
"Back to the ship, short stuff!"
The three of them book it down the darkened halls, ducking behind walls and crates as the first cluster of security droids pass through.
She tosses her bag across her shoulder, slinging it against one side of her hip, clipping it into place with snaps sewn into her jacket. They watch three more droids pass them by before she speaks again, "My name's Nox, by the way."
"Doesn't sound like a girl's name." The big one chuckles, so deep and rumbling it almost feels like a growl.
"Well it's the only name I've got. My parents named me a bit of a mouthful, Nox just works better."
"Clear." Tech calls out and they continue on their way heading to the service hangar where their ship hopefully was waiting for them.
"How'd you end up out here?" The big one asks, with every flash of light above them she can see more of the large scary face painted roughly on his helmet, lines thrown on haphazardly only to be scraped away by carbon scoring.
She is about to answer when she is shoved back into a corner by Tech. He slaps a hand over her mouth before she can yelp, the leather slightly singed, it smells of electricity and grease.
“Wait.”
"I'm getting tired of all this sneaking around, I say we blow our way outta here!" The big one growls.
"We’re almost there Wrecker, it would be pointless to try now."
She shoves Tech's Hand away, "Blow your way out of here, are you insane? With the amount of baby on board you'd blow us into the next dimension!"
There are a few beats of silence before both helmets turn towards her.
"Baby?" Wrecker repeats but is shushed by Tech.
"You don't mean baradium-"
"Bisulfate? I absolutely do! There were containers of the stuff in the holding bay."
"This Imperial ship is headed somewhere to mine thorilide?" He repeats, tone stressed over every syllable in the word ‘Imperial’.
"That or some unlucky planet is about to be wiped from existence."
"The location of the Republic thorilide mines have been kept under the utmost security for ages, not even the Jedi Council was ever advised of its location."
"Can’t say I blame them, I barely trust them with those glowy sticks of death." She murmurs, making lightsaber sounds with her mouth as Wrecker snickers.
"Stop that. Do you know where this ship was heading? Do you have a copy of the manifest?"
"What, your amazing Republic recce didn't get you that information shiny?" He glares back at her, brows pinching together behind the dark frames of his goggles, "Maker! Did those cloners take your sense of humor? Yes, I know where this ship is going."
"Bet Cid’s contact would pay more for that bit of info." Wrecker’s grin can be heard even through the plastoid of his helmet.
Tech meanwhile has typed something to a com on his wrist, "Hunter, there's been a complication."
"What kind of complication?"
"There is more on board this ship than just the republic database-"
"What do you mean?"
"This ship is a mining vessel, out to mine thorilide."
Tech’s wrist comm goes silent, just quiet static while the voice on the other line thinks, "Ordinance?"
Both clones look at her, she nods emphatically, "Ordinance, med supplies, if there was coaxium on board I wouldn't be surprised, this place is the motherlode."
"Quite a bit of supplies on board, it would seem."
The comm goes quiet again for a few moments, "We don't have time for this, it's only a matter of time before they realize that your cruiser is stolen. Grab what you went in for and leave."
Tech shakes his head, it's so tiny and quick that if she wasn't looking at him in that moment she would have missed it, "Where is it being kept?"
"Up, five or so floors unless I've miscounted."
"Tech, Wrecker, Get out of there, now!" The voice on the other end grows more and more irritable as they stand around in silence.
"We'll be out as soon as possible." Tech replies curtly as he cuts the comm. He makes it sound so easy like they were stopping by the nearest market to pick up fruit, instead of about to hijack high quality explosives from Imperial custody, "Lead the way."
"What? Just like that?"
"Are there, or are there not these items on board?"
"Yes."
"You swear?" Wrecker leans in close, hovering over her.
"Yeah."
Tech nods, "Vital signs are stable, no signs of heightened stress-"
"What if I'm just a really good liar?"
"You can try all you want my dear, but the data doesn't lie."
"Does he do this to you too? I'm finding it a bit creepy-" She asks Wrecker as her eyebrow raises.
"You get used to it."
"Weird, so weird…" she mutters to herself as she turns and peeks around the corner. She looks around for anything that is familiar, when she sees a maintenance lift at the very end of the hall to the right. She motions them forward, and silently they sneak their way closer to the lift. She turns her attention to her side as she digs in her bag, her fingers grasp at the odd collection of junk in her pockets until her hand finally wraps around the cool metal of her code cylinder and she can finally stop holding her breath.
Tech's hand on her shoulder pulls her back to the task on hand as he drags her back a few steps. The catwalk above them from here to the lift is no more than a shoddy looking set of grates that creak as a group of security droids march along their patrol, oblivious to the three of them below.
“The maintenance lift?" Tech sniffs as they come to a stop at its doors. He raises hand to push his goggles back into place, "Perhaps you have failed to notice but none of us are maintenance droids, the moment you try to access that panel they will -”
“They’ll what?” She asks as she jams the cylinder into the port, the lift clicks open silently and she steps inside.
“The alarms-”
“What alarms? According to this," she snaps her code cylinder from the panel and drops it back into her bag, lost again to the chaos of the random junk held within, "I'm a maintenance droid doing routine inspections. How stupid do you think I am?”
"Hey hey, this one's pretty smart huh Tech?!" Wrecker is thrilled.
"Pirate." She reminds, "You don't see many my age that aren't intelligent and I'll give you one guess as to why."
The doors silently click open and before they can step out a team of at least half a dozen well armed sentry droids roll past.
They all leap from the inside of the lift and fall into a crouch behind a stack of supply crates. They wait for a few moments before Tech quickly peeks over, "They don't seem to have spotted us."
"Fuck, there weren't this many when we tried this the first time." She swears a few more times under her breath.
"We should do this my way." Wrecker offers.
"What's that mean, what does he mean?!" Nox looks nervously over to Tech, "He doesn't mean-?"
"Explosives and violence? He absolutely does," Tech sighs, “ and I'm afraid we are running low on options and even lower on time. Wrecker, what does your ordinance look like?"
“But you said I couldn't bring any?”
“Yes, and when was the last time you actually listened?”
Wrecker, the fun if not absolutely homicidal one, pulls out a couple of detonators, a roll of plastic tape, a half dozen hand grenades and three droid poppers.
“Great, nice to know you could have turned us into a small sun if I hadn't told you about the baby on board.”
"Everything save for the poppers is far too dangerous to use around those crates." Tech hisses, "Any more of those brilliant pirate ideas floating around in your head?"
She chews on her lip for a moment, wracking her brain for anything else that might be useful as she ignores Tech's sarcastic tone. Apart from the crates on this floor littered with treasure, there didn't seem to be anything of any use...except for the busted water filter. “How big of a distraction do you think it would take to get all those sentries away from the haul?”
“It would need to be something quite large or destructive enough to threaten the integrity of the ship.”
“The water filtration system on board is completely calcified, I don't think it was ever fixed since there are only droids on board. If you could flood that with enough pressure the entire pipe should burst-”
“And flood the entire floor, along with the engine room, that might just do it.” He’s on his data pad before the words are even out of his mouth, he scans the room all around and matches it with the wireframe schematics on his screen. He stalks his way backwards until he finds the panel he is looking for. He pops it open easily and then begins to slice into the mainframe of the ship, “On my count, take Wrecker to wherever the baby is, let him handle it. You get your hands on as much of the medical supplies as you can, the security onboard is a little tighter than I would have preferred so I will have to stay here and continue to flood the filter.”
“Oh, easy.”
“Think you can handle all that tiny?” Wrecker’s thundering chuckle threatens to give away their location even with the steady moan of the alarms overhead.
She grins, Wrecker is back to being the fun one, “Try and keep up.”
There is a sound of roaring water all around them as tech funnels every liquid on the ship into the filter, then a sound like an explosion a couple of feet below them rocks the ship like a lightning strike.
The sound of the alarm overhead changes as every droid on the floor turns away and heads to a lowering platform, all instructed to assist with the burst pipe.
“That’s our cue!”
She shoves Wrecker forward playfully before they both break into a sprint toward the storage rooms where their bounty is being held. She points to one of the rooms as they approach, "This one's your big boy!"
The door is sealed shut, but not for long. Wrecker doesn't slow, instead he hunches low, bringing his shoulders down and tucking his chin into the collar of his armor before he barrels straight through, punching a hole through the doors with enough force to make even her teeth rattle.
She dips into the storage room across the hall, thanking the stars that her haul wasn't locked away like his was. She rips open any crate within arms reach, tossing open the tops and letting them scatter around the room wherever they land. She snatches bacta patches and hypos by the handful and packs the crate as full as she can, slamming her entire body weight against it to get it to close. She drags it out into the hall, placing it by the door before she bolts into the room right beside the one Wrecker is standing in.
Wrecker watches her disappear into the room, the four small crates of explosives tucked carefully under his arms, “Wait, where are you-”
His question is answered as another crate hits the floor beside him. She comes running out of the room, grabbing this second crate by the handle and yanking it along, “Perfect! Not a single explosion! Love that for me!”
Wrecker bends down to offer her a hand but she has already snatched up the first trunk and is flying down the hall with them. She's faster than Wrecker would have believed she would be capable of with the two crates almost her height. She almost trips over herself as she stops and with a swift kick, the second crate lands at Tech's feet, “Come on 20/20, cut her loose, let's go!”
“What’s in that- I specifically ordered you to only carry medical supplies.”
“Yeah well, it sounds like you are used to not being listened to so, ship. Now!”
Wrecker races past, hopping off of the side and down to the level below, the halls are empty as all hands are called to help with the floor that is flooding.
Nox peeks over the side, she watches as Wrecker sets the small boxes of baby down beside him, "Toss your crate!" He calls up. She nods and yanks the crates handle, flipping it up and off of the edge with a nudge from Tech.
She helps him in turn, as they gingerly haul the crate full of ordinance over the edge before tossing it below.
Wrecker sets the crates to one side before turning back to catch Nox, but she's already climbing down. Her fingers dig into spots on the wall where she should not be able to have any grip. She finds her own way down and with a little hop, lands right beside Wrecker as Tech lands beside her. The clang of his boots echoes down the empty hallway. "We'll need to make our way through the flooded floor of the ship in order to get back to the hangar." Tech types away at his data pad again before picking up the side of his crate.
Nox follows close beside the two clones, tossing the crate up onto her back to avoid making any unnecessary scraping sounds as they get closer to the flooded area, the sound of pouring water gets louder and louder with every floor. The next floor they walk through has the water barely deep enough to wash over the toes of their boots, but it rises rapidly after that. By the time they are on the same floor as the hangar, the water has risen up to their knees and Nox has a harder time trying to distract her mind from where all of this stagnant water has been hiding this whole time.
“Holding out ok over there tiny?” Wrecker chuckles.
She turns to answer, when everything becomes...not alright. Her next step slips out from under her and she goes flying forward, crashing face first into the dark disgusting water, the crate on her back keeping her under the surface as she struggles to pull herself back up to standing.
A hand at the back of her collar pulls her back up into fresh air, slimy water pours from her mouth and nose as she gags. She doesn't need to clear the water from her eyes to know what the dark figures that are starting to line the hallway are. Tech and Wrecker are on either side of her, blasters raised as the sentry droids file in.
“I'm hoping you can fight better than you can swim.” Tech calls over as Wrecker leaps over them both and charges straight into one of the sentries.  Tech keeps a few of the others at bay, clipping them with bright bolts from his twin deecees, but it's not enough. She rubs the slime from her face and charges right behind Wrecker, using her entire body to check a droid in her path, she grabs the blaster from its hands as it goes tumbling backwards and into the water. Techs shots ring out around her as he stays behind, watching over the crates behind him. Wrecker tears through any droids that get within reach, sparks flying on to the water before they sizzle and die. She concentrates her fire on any droids Tech misses until the hall is clear.
"There'll be a second platoon on their way, we better get a move on." Tech calls back to them, she tosses the almost empty blaster into the water beside her.
"Are you always just, you know?" She makes growling and ripping sounds at Wrecker.
He laughs, "Not often enough."
She stifles her laughter behind her hand as she walks back to where Tech is to retrieve the case of medical supplies, for a brief moment the last couple of days are forgotten and even the slime on her skin is the last thing on her mind. For a brief moment she was back with her men, waiting for that score of a lifetime, but when she grabs the handle of the crate and looks back it’s the clone armor that reminds her she is in fact alone. The sudden quiet of sadness doesnt last long as the doors behind them open and a new series of drods begin their march towards them.
“Incoming!”

The Winter Soldier - Part 15
Info: A Devastating car crash causes you to lose your memory and start over. The only thing left in the wreckage was the horrific nightmares which plagued your mind. If you knew what today would entail you would have just stayed in bed. But you didn’t and because of that, everything you knew was about to change.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x reader
Warnings: swearing, gun violence.
W/c: 2.9k
A/n: I’m double posting for @kalesrebellion because she called me out. So here you go babe. Also, I did an embarassing amount of research trying to come up with the basics for the serum. But I concluded that this is fiction and it doesnt really matter. But if you’re ur a science major and this doesnt make sense please dont come for me lol

There are moments in your life that define you. Moments you look back on after everything and wonder, if you had listened to your gut, maybe it would be different. This was one of those moments. Bucky’s world shattered around him as Natasha’s words rang through his comm.
“We’ve been compromised, Buck. I’ve been hit. They got Y/n.” Her voice, broken and solemn.
No.
Dammit, NO.
This isn't how this was supposed to happen. This was an easy job. Only a few Hydra agents resided in this compound. The whole thing felt like a dream. One he was completely and utterly unprepared to handle. How could he let this happen. He should have been there.
“Dammit. What's your location? I'm coming to you.” He shouted. His blood began to boil and he heard your heavy breathing on the other side. You were running. “Y/n, please come in. Please, doll. Where are you?” Bucky hated how broken he sounded. He knew the rest of the team could hear his begging, but he didnt care. He couldn't. He just needed to get to you.
“You always were a fighter. Right till the bitter end.” A man’s muffled voice came through his comm. He didn't recognize it as anyone he knew, but there was something familiar about it. A distant memory he couldn't quite piece together. Before he could speak, your voice broke though, a small whisper shattering his heart and sending him into a blind rage.
“Bucky” You breathed, choking on a cough.
“Y/n. I’m coming to you, doll. Don't worry, I've got you. I’m going to get you out of this. Don't worry, I’m coming.” He pleaded, but was only met with static, and then finally silence. The rest of the team kept quiet, waiting for any kind of sign of life from you. When none came, Nat spoke up.
“Guys, we gotta get out of here. They've set off a security alert, this place is going to blow in three minutes.” Her voice was now back to its usual tone, but Bucky knew better. She was scared, he could hear it.  “ There’s no sign of her out here. She’s just… gone.” He could hear that she was running now.
“Bucky, we gotta go.” Steve spoke from beside him. Bucky’s head snapped to his friend, eyes wide and body still frozen.
“We can't leave. Not without her.” He all but begged.
“You heard Natasha, she’s on her way.” He paused, “Nat, you got the files?” He spoke into his earpiece, motioning Bucky to follow him to the entrance they had come through.
“Yeah, I have them. Thanks for asking by the way. I’m great, two more bullet holes in my gut, but yeah, files are more important.” She scoffed, causing Steve to roll his eyes.  “I’m headed to the entrance right now.”
“No, I’m not leaving without Y/n!” Bucky tried to pull away from Steve, but he was stronger. A fact he would never admit to the guy, his head was already big enough.
“She’s not here Buck. They wouldn't blow the compound with her in it.” He persisted.
Sam’s voice interjected, “Jet’s fired up, you guys better get the fuck outta there. We have less than a minute.”
Bucky and Steve ran through the dark hallways together until they almost slammed into Nat’s small frame. He gasped when she appeared in the hollow moonlight. Her face was contorted in pain, something he was all too familiar with. Guilt.
“I lost her. I’m so sorry, it was my job to-” She broke off into a sob. Bucky wanted to agree. Yell that if she was a better agent- a better person his girl would be coming home with them. But he couldn't... This was on him. He knew it was a bad idea to bring you on the mission. He deserved all the blame.
“She’s not dead. Not yet anyways. But we will be if we don't get out of here.” Steve yelled over the alarms blaring in the hallway.
Bucky and Nat both nodded, and followed Steve across the field. Before they could reach the jet, the warehouse behind them rumbled before letting out an earth shattering explosion, sending the two of them flying into the ground. Without hesitation, Bucky grabbed Natasha's hand and pulled her from the ground. He wrapped her arm around his shoulder and all but dragged her body onto the jet.
“Vision’s been alerted we need medical. He’s been staying at a safe house in Munich. We can be there in thirty minutes.” Steve spoke urgently, rifling through the cabinets of the jet looking for the first aid kit.
“Seriously guys, it's a flesh wound. I’m- Ah!” Nat screamed in pain as the jet hit a spout of turbulence.
“Like you were saying.” Wanda smirked, placing her hands carefully on Nats' wound. Her hands glowed a deep red as she tried to relieve the pain. The spy’s face relaxed, but only for a moment before she was back to worried.
“He’s alive, Buck.” Nat spoke, and when she did, he could hear the fear in her words.
“Who?” Steve demanded, but Nat’s eyes stayed put on Bucky’s.
“Tommy. She said his name in the hallway. It was him, Buck. He’s not dead. He’s the one that shot me, the one that took her.” Nat flinched in pain as Wanda's hands fell from her side.
“That’s not possible.” Bucky shook his head. “Steve found my mission file. I killed him. I remembered it. You just don't walk away from that.”
“Well, clearly you do.” Nat spoke sarcastically, pointing to the gushing holes in the body.
“So Tommy’s alive? And he’s Hydra now?” Wanda asked, suddenly realising her hands were not on Nat’s wounds anymore. She placed them back silently apologising.
“And he’s got Y/n.” Bucky added, his jaw clenched in anger.
“We’ll get her back.” Steve spoke. He placed a hand on Bucky’s shoulder which he quickly shrugged off, pacing back and forth through the small aircraft.
“I know we will. And i’m going to finish the fucking job and tear that prick in two.” He seethed, mostly to himself.
He tried to focus on the task at hand. Desperately brainstorming how to get to you, but his mind was spirling. How could he just leave you? How could he have been so stupid? The sound of his name leaving your lips echoed around him, only fuling his growing rage.
“All our tactical suits have hidden trackers in the sleeves. We will hear it go off, but until then we wait. They cant have gotten far.” Steve started as the jet began its descent. “We're almost at the safe house. We’ll track her from there. In the morning, we’ll head out.”
“Morning? That's too long. She could be-'' Bucky cut himself off, too broken at the thought to finish that sentence. “I’ll find her myself tonight.” He grumbled.
“Oh no you don’t. We’re a team, Buck. We do this together. Vision will be able to enable her tracker. But we need to work together. We can't lose anybody else to impulse decisions.” Steve scolded.
He knew his friend was right but it didn't make it any easier to agree. All Bucky wanted to go but get you back. Keep you safe and never let anyone touch you again. He tried to keep his distance before, he really did, but that was out the window now. There wasn't a chance in hell he was leaving your side after this. As for the man that ripped you from his grasp, oh boy… He tried not to make a habit out of fantasizing murder, mostly as it resulted in the Winter Soldier coming out of the shadows, but if that was the case with Tommy, so be it. Only when Bucky stood in a pile or carnage and gore and blood would he finally feel peace again...
“We're coming up on the safe house. Y'all ready to bail?” Sam's voice tore Bucky out of his thoughts, and thankfully so. He was sure it was leading to a very destructive path.
“Buck, help us get Nat inside. Wanda and Sam - sweep the area, make sure no one has followed us. I’ll fill Vision in on what's happened and see if he can turn on Y/n’s tracker now.” Steve commanded as he hopped out of the jet.
“Can you stand?” Bucky asked, dipping down to tuck Nats arm around his shoulder, helping her up. She nodded reluctantly, wincing in pain as she moved.
The safe house was a small cabin in the middle nowhere. Munich was only a few minutes down the road but the thick coverage of trees that surrounded the cabin made it feel secluded and hard to be spotted from above.  If they weren't followed, no one would ever know they were here.
Bucky helped Nat inside, letting Steve and Wanda take over once they were through the door. Before he could enter, he stopped, taking a moment to gaze upon the sun rising over the mountains. In a few hours, he’d be with you again. He just had to make it until then, and pray to whatever god would still have him, that you were alive.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………
“Продолжай копать. Нам надо её найти.” Keep digging. We have to find it. The voice rang in your mind, waking you from the recurring nightmare. Visions of Tommy and that boyish smile that once brought so much happiness.. His voice, the way it used to say your name, now only causing you ache.
“Wait, rewind there! Вернись. That’s it.” The voice spoke again, echoing around the room. You opened your eyes slowly, taking in your surroundings, but all you were met with was darkness. You could feel movement around you, but the blindfold tied around your eyes masked their faces.
“I’m positive she told me what was in that serum.” His voice caused your heart to just about leap from your chest. You knew that voice anywhere.
“You better be right. You're as good as dead to me otherwise.” Another man spoke.
“No I’m sure. Wait! Right there. Replay that part.” Tommy asserted.
Suddenly a headache burned through your temples, scorching the inside of your eyes. You screamed in pain as it coarsed though your body until an image appeared in your mind. It replayed over and over, making you dizzy.
“Whatcha doing?” Tommy cooed, taking a seat on your desk.
“Just trying to find the right components.” You spoke, not taking your eyes microscope as you examined the petri dish below.
“Cummon, baby. You've been at this for hours. Come eat something.” You looked up, Tommy stood there with that big goofy smile you loved so much.
“I’ve almost got it. Just a little longer.” You reassured him, rolling in your chair and picking up another sample and analysing it.
“What exactly is, it?” he asked, emphasizing the word.
“If I mix the steroid with-”
Another shrieking jolt of pain seared through you as the memory disappeared, leaving you trembling.
“Go back, we almost had it!” Someone yelled from beside you.
You tried to scream, to beg them to stop, but it was no use. Before you could try again, the same horrible pain erupted through your body, ripping you back to the distant memory.
“If I mix the steroid with human blood, it does as it's designed.  But taking into account the theory of nuclear transmutation, we can assume given the right element we can use the serum to absorb its surroundings, right?” You spoke, like it was common sense.
“Sure…” Tommy chuckled.
“So, strip down the original serum, add radiation to its compound, now it needs the ability to absorb energy… What element do we know has that power?” it wasn't a question, nor did you think Tommy would know the answer so you continued, “Water, and our bodies are basically made of that. So in turn, if we can create the original serum mixed with high levels of radiation, inject the person, granted you're not killed by that high levels of toxicity, we're looking at a new type of Super Soldier. One that could, in theory, mutate around the serum and absorb its surroundings!” You finally finished.
“I have no idea what any of that means… But it sounds cool. Now put the vile down, and eat something.” He laughed, grabbing the sample out of your hands and carefully placing it on the table next to you.
“Thats it!” Someone shouted. “Of course, why didn't we think of this. Call the commander, tell him we found it.”
You felt your body twist in agony, but soon the memory left, leaving you back in the dark with disembodied voices echoing around you.
“What do you want me to do with her?” a man asked.
“I don't care. убить её?” Kill her? You froze at his words. Even if you could move, your hands were tied down to the chair. Gentally you wiggle your fingers, careful not to draw any attention to yourself. Not that you would be able to tell. The ring that Shuri had made you was still there. If you timed in right, and you still had Wanda’s borrowed power, you could use it to untie yourself and hopefully get the fuck out of this hell hole.
“Kill her?” Tommy choked. “You didn't say anything about killin’ her?”
“You should be thankful. The girl’s been sharing a bed with the same man who killed you once before. In fact, I’m so pleased with your work developing this memory decoder that I’ll give you the honour.” The man spoke, shuffling around the room. “Here, tell me when you're done having your fun.” A few heavy footsteps later, and you finally heard the door close. The silence was deafening, but eventually, Tommy let out a deep breath and took a step towards you, ripping your blind fold off.
You squinted as you tried to acclimate your eyes to the lighting of the room. It was small and dark, but a few dim lights hung above you illuminating Tommy's features. Once upon a time you would have described them as strong and rugged. Now they seemed to loom over you, sending a shiver down your spine.
“Are you okay?” He asked, softer than you expected. You quickly clocked the pistol in his left hand and tried to suppress a scoff.
“Am I okay?” You gawked at him. “You just dug through my head like a sand pit. No- no I’m not okay you shit head!” You screamed.
Tommy chuckled, using the gun to scratch the back of his neck. “Touché…” He spoke, pulling up a stool and plopping himself down on it infront of you. “I missed that attitude baby. Really, these past couple years have been hell without you. These guys are really scary, but I told em- I said, my girl will know what to do. And you did, baby. I never doubted you.” His voice was like honey. Thick and sickenly sweet.
“What are you talking about?! I thought you were dead!? I mourned you, asshole. And you've been alive this whole time, working against me?” You couldn't believe how cavalier he was being about this. Tommy only shrugged, fuling the rage inside you.
“Nah, it's not like that. I was dead, really I was. But then Hydra came and BOOM I was back. They promised me that they’d keep me safe, as long as I could help em get that serum you were always talkin’ bout. Said they wanted to give it time in your system, make sure it didn't kill ya.” He started, narrowing his eyes slowly, “You grieved me? That's a funny way of putting it. Cause from what I saw in that head of yours, you were pretty chummy with that Soldier.”
You couldn't stifle the scoff that erupted in your mouth. “You're kidding right? Jesus, Tom. They brainwashed me. And I don't need to explain myself. You're sick, you know that?  How could you do this? Do you have any idea what they're going to use that serum for?” You fired the questions off like explosives into his chest, but he didn't even flinch.
“I don't really care. They told me if I gave em’ your little recipe, they’d let me go.” He shrugged.
“And so what? Now you're going to kill me?”
“No… Maybe. I haven't really decided yet.” He looked down at the pistol like it was the first time he really noticed it was there. Contemplating your death like he was deciding between his morning coffee.
“I would get going on that if I were you.” You lifted your hands, wiggling your wingers playfully “Really, Tommy, you're not cut out for this line of work.” You spat, jumping from your seat and landing a hard kick to his gut, sending him flying back. The gun ricocheted off the ground and hit the wall, but before he could react, you grabbed it. In one swift move you turned the safety off and placed your finger on the trigger.
“Cummon baby, let's talk about this.” He raised his hands in surrender. “You wouldn't shoot me.”
You cocked a brow, “You sound really confident in that statement. Especially for a boy who was debating my death a moment ago.” You argued.
“Dont take it personally, baby. Anything you can do, I can do better. Remember?” You smirked.

For the prompt list, Tell me I'm wrong and Marry Me
I always told myself I would never write post-Civil War. Apparently I lied (although we’re going to ignore that Thanos ever happened so we’re pretending the mcu ended after Civil War). This got long af but I hope you like it!
~
The first time Steve asks Tony to marry him, Tony doesn’t even hesitate to tell him no. Steve isn’t terribly surprised. They’ve only been dating for two weeks. Steve had gone back to the tower after SHIELD had fallen, strode up to Tony, and gotten as far as, “As the world’s leading expert on waiting too long,” before Tony had stopped him by kissing him. It’s been two whirlwind weeks since then and he’s already certain that he wants to spend the rest of his life with him but asking him right after the first time they have sex had probably been a bad idea.
So, no, Steve isn’t surprised Tony tells him no.
He’s more surprised that Tony says sleepily, “Ask me again in the morning.”
He means to. He really does. But the morning brings with it a board meeting that Tony’s running late for and a possible sighting of Bucky and he forgets all about it.
The second time he asks Tony to marry him, they’ve just recovered the scepter and cleaned out the last of Hydra’s bases and he is drunk off of Asgardian mead.
“Tell me I’m wrong,” he slurs drunkenly. “We’d be good together.”
Tony laughs and pats his back, a wistful little smile on his face. “We’re already good together, Winghead. But tell you what: ask me again in the morning and maybe I’ll say yes.”
But then Ultron happens and all thoughts of marrying Tony are driven out of his mind.
The third time he asks Tony to marry him, a city is falling from the sky and Clint is fighting an army of robots with a bow and arrow and Steve is furious with Tony, so fucking furious, but he also knows that it’s as much the Stone’s fault as it is Tony and Bruce’s, probably more so. He’ll apologize for his outbursts later, when they’re both calmer. Right now though, when there’s practically no chance of them making it out of there alive, he wants to know what Tony’s answer would be.
He switches to a private comm and, as he’s ripping the heart out of a robot, asks, “Marry me now?”
Tony laughs, breathless and exhilarated. “We’re not doing death confessions, Steve. Ask me again when this is over.”
By the time it’s over, Pietro is dead and it’s no longer the right time.
He decides to wait until asking him again, waiting until he can do the proposal properly with a ring and everything. But the moment is never right. Tony leaves the Avengers and Steve gets caught up training the new guys and they never have the time to be together anymore. Tony doesn’t like to be around the Compound much, reminded of everything he’d just given up, and Steve doesn’t like to be around the tower, reminded of everything they’d lost. They’re drifting apart and he hates that, hates that their relationship is falling apart even though he knows that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Tony Stark.
And then Tony is caught up in something political, something that he hates, something that he won’t share with Steve, which means that it must be bad.
Tony tells him, “I’ll tell you about it once it’s fixed,” but it never seems to be fixed. It’s been two months since the last time he saw Tony so when Nat needs to go to the tower to get her Widow’s Bites fixed, he goes with her.
“I have a question for you,” he says once Nat has disappeared to go talk to Pepper. His hand drifts toward his pocket where he can feel the outline of the ring box.
Tony looks at him expectantly. Steve opens his mouth.
And Tony’s phone rings and FRIDAY says, “Boss, it’s him again,” and Tony groans.
“Ask me once I’m done with this?” he asks and Steve nods.
Except-
Sam calls in the middle of Tony’s conversation to tell him Rumlow’s been spotted in Lagos. He gives Tony an apologetic look and Tony just flaps his hand for him to go. They part without saying goodbye, without even a kiss, and Steve wonders when they got to this point.
Everything goes wrong in Lagos and then things go from bad to worse the moment Tony says “Accords” and then Peggy is dead and then the UN is attacked and people are blaming Bucky - Bucky - and he’s running to catch him before anyone else does.
And things are going from worse to worst as Bucky is triggered and Steve is calling Tony to apologize but he can’t take Bucky back to the UN and Tony is apologizing for not telling him about the Accords and Sharon kisses him...
He’s never hidden his relationship with Tony from anyone. He knows that Sharon knows they’ve been dating. So when had they gotten to the point that people assumed they were no longer together?
They’re fighting in Germany and it’s worse this time because shame is burning in the pit of his stomach, shame that he can’t tell Tony about - Sharon is his cousin - and Nat is letting them go, attacking a king so they can make it to Siberia.
Tony finds them in Siberia. Steve had thought things were bad before but he apparently had no idea. He’d told Tony after SHIELD fell that he thought Hydra had killed his parents but there’s a difference between knowing and seeing and an even bigger difference between knowing that a shadowy organization killed them and knowing that it was your partner’s best friend.
Tony attacks. Steve doesn’t blame him. But he knows Tony even after everything’s gone wrong. He knows that if he doesn’t stop this, Tony will regret what he does. So he stops him. But everything is too much, the shame and the guilt and the regret are clouding his mind, and he takes it too far.
He calls Pepper as he’s getting Bucky outside, chokes out, “I fucked up,” and that’s when he finds out that Tony has a contingency plan for him, that during the flight to Siberia, he’d set up somewhere for them to go if things went south.
Just like Tony: always taking care of him.
He goes with T’Challa, just like Tony had planned. He settles Bucky in Wakanda, just like Tony had suggested. He breaks the team out of the Raft with the help of the specs Tony provided. And then he sends a letter and a phone, begging for forgiveness and ending it with: I wanted to ask you before this happened. It’s the wrong time now but I want you to know that I wanted to ask. Marry me?
Tony texts him back: Ask me when you’re all home again.
Except it takes time, time for Tony to arrange pardons, time to swing favor back in their direction, and Steve hates waiting. He and Tony meet up once a month in odd locations, first to talk things out and then to rekindle their relationship. It’s hard and it takes months of meeting for things to get back to where they once were or maybe they’re better this time. Maybe they trust each other more, talk to each other more, listen to each other more.
They’re in a villa in Italy this month, owned by Tony Stark or maybe by Maria Carbonell, the details are a little fuzzy. Tony is dozing next to him, naked, covered only by a thin sheet. The windows are open, letting in a warm breeze. It’s idyllic and lovely and Steve has the sudden realization that the only reason he wants a pardon is so he can come home to Tony. He doesn’t want to pick up the shield anymore, not when the arc reactor flickering is still playing behind his eyes every time he closes them. Bucky would make a good Captain America, Sam an even better one. He wants to come home to Tony, in his bed, in his home, in his life.
“Marry me,” he says. Tony rolls over to face him and starts to open his mouth. Steve stops him with a kiss. “No more waiting, no more asking you again. I know you wanted me to be sure but Tony, I’ve been sure for two and a half years. Marry me.”
Tony smiles. “Yes.”

Could you go into more detail re: your last post? I've been seeing so many reactions to what Steve did at the end of the movie and would love to hear your take on it because I'm desperate to hear from someone more level headed (and it seems like you definitely are). I've just seen a lot of people upset with/at Steve/Chris and need some reassurance lol. You can keep this private if you want or just make a separate post. Also hi, nice to meet you :)
I have been thinking about this all day, so I would be more than happy to elaborate for you! It’ll be under the cut.
It appears that the general arguments regarding Steve being out of character and not liking his ending is that he struggled for so long to put his past behind him, to find a place in the future with the family and friends he made, and by sending him back it compromised their future as well as Peggy’s and reduced her to simply a woman who stole Cap’s heart as opposed to this formidable force to be reckoned with and one of the founding members of S.H.I.E.L.D.
I don’t see it that way though. If anything, this is a Steve who failed and saw half of the universe snapped due to circumstances beyond his control and more importantly this is the first time we truly see Steve for the human he is, and not just the soldier out of time.
Two constant threads in Steve’s individual arc has been dealing with one never-ending battle after another and his struggle to acclimate to the times he’s in. I don’t mean in an ‘old man deals with newfangled technology’ sense, but Steve’s few years out of the ice pales in comparison to the seventy plus years it’s been for everyone else. Also keep in mind the era in which Steve comes from, because he deals with things internally or not at all (mostly not at all) and a therapy goer the man is not.
In TFA, pre-serum Steve has a myriad of health problems and is known to get into fights frequently. He’s tried several times to get enlisted; longing for that one chance to do something right, to do something good because he doesn’t like bullies and he doesn’t care where they come from. He meets Peggy and she sees the man he is way before he became Captain America. Keep in mind though that between post Project Rebirth and the crash, more time has passed than people tend to think about. Their feelings for one another have deepened, even if they’re not acted upon, which is why their final conversation over the comms is even more heartbreaking. They had something, they knew they had something, and now it was lost seemingly forever. Who could come back from that? Who honestly would want to?
The Avengers finds him a mere two weeks after the man was defrosted, in which he was learning that almost everyone he knew and loved was dead and that the Tesseract he crashed a plane to try and destroy was found and used by SHIELD to create weapons and had to push that into the back of his mind so he could fight aliens in the Battle of New York.
In TWS, he’s still struggling to find his footing between his past and and present. He visits Peggy and is happy that at least she was able to move on and have a life for herself, but every visit is melancholy and ends the same way - she slips out because of her dementia and he has to relive her finding out that he’s real and in front of her every time. I wouldn’t want to wish that experience on anyone, but do you know what that’s like to deal with a person who has that? To think you’re finally getting somewhere with someone for a moment and then the lucidness wears off and suddenly your heart is ripped out of your chest because you’re back at square one? To do that every single time you see them? Sam asking him what makes him happy breaks my heart every single time because he’s never been given the opportunity to figure that out, and once he learns that Hydra, again going with the whole “I crashed my fucking plane into the ocean and this shit is STILL happening” arc, has been entangled with SHIELD from its infancy, he knows the mission to take it down takes precedence over trying to take the time and figure that out for himself. Now, this movie is the Winter Soldier, and there’s Bucky to cover. At this point, Steve knows he doesn’t have much time with Peggy left when he uncovers the identity of The Winter Soldier. These two pillars are the last remaining ties to his past, which is why he tries so hard to try to joggle Bucky’s programming with not fighting back and the “I’m with you til the end of the line”. Steve knows he’s in there, he just had to get him out. He’s successful, and then that jump-starts the search post TWS leading into Age of Ultron and ending in Civil War.
Age of Ultron..is…well, okay it has more problems than anything else however, at this point it’s been three years since he’s been living in the future, and it would make sense that Peggy is still on his mind in Wanda’s dream sequence for him. He confirms it in Endgame for the first time by saying it aloud, but Peggy was the love of his life. It’s normal to dream about lost loves. He’s a man from that older era though, which is why we only have a stolen moment of him trying to remain stoic because he has to be a leader and appear unaffected for the sake of his team and the mission. I really wish the deleted scene where he comes out of the quintet with his coal to see the image of Captain America with the words “Fascist” above spray-painted on a building wall before he throws the helmet back inside was kept in because it shows SO MUCH without saying anything at all. This is where we see that break between who is he and what his superhero persona is supposed to represent. It’s not Captain America who makes Steve Rogers Steve Rogers, it is Steve Rogers who makes Captain America Captain America. And once again, we find him trying to make the sacrifice play if they aren’t successful and can’t get all Sokovian citizens as well as themselves out in time. Now all while this is happening, Sam is still trying to look for Bucky for Steve.
Which brings us to Civil War. Never has that line between his past and present been more apparent because it’s literally the plot to this movie. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Bucky is deprogrammed but broken and more importantly to Steve - alive- and he knows that Bucky has that blood on his hands that Hydra used and abused him into spilling and that’s why if he could just get Tony to see that with these accords the powers at be, along with every country who signs, can dangle their help for political gain like they’re puppets on strings just like he was. Do they need to be put in check? Perhaps, but not by people with an agenda. It’s a dangerous game they’d be playing with no winners which is why Steve doesn’t sign them. And during that meeting with all of them discussing this, Steve learns that Peggy dies so his stake in this fight to preserve the last tether to his past increases tenfold. He’s not just fighting for Bucky, Steve is fighting for himself. By the time he’s dropped that shield, we’re shown that Steve has lost faith in his government, he’s lost faith in his friends, and he’s lost faith in himself.
He’s in Infinity War for six minutes and forty five seconds is screen time so there’s not much content wise to go on, but when we see Steve he is clearly not the man he was and you can tell something is broken inside him, but it’s not explored until Endgame.
I’m just going to focus on Steve’s arc in Endgame because while I really liked most of it, Thor and Natasha deserved better than that so here we go. If you have not watched Endgame, don’t go any further.
Between waking up and immediately having to fight post defrosting and uncovering the truth about SHIELD using the Tesseract to make weapons, Hydra being an entangled part of shield, the events of Civil War, and by the time we see him in Infinity War he’s a shell of whatever former self he was trying to grasp at straws with, and it wasn’t until we had this film that we actually see to what extent that was.
Endgame opens three weeks after the snap, in a time where they’re still desperately clinging to hope with trying to find a way to reverse things. Carol saves Tony and Nebula while he’s on the very brink of death in the Benatar, and tensions between the Steve and Tony are at an all time high. They lost. Everyone. They’re the Avengers, how could they lose?
Time jumps five years. Tony is living on a lake and has a young daughter with Pepper, and Steve has now taken over for Sam in leading group therapy meetings. Joe Russo’s character says he went on a date the night before and that his date cried before the salad and he cried after the dessert and there was nothing they could truly talk about because what could you talk about if half of the universe, including people you knew and loved, vanished in an instant and where you’re borderline living in some version of Lord of the Flies? He offers words of comfort, but he and half the people in that session don’t fully believe them. He lost the love of his life in ‘45 and woke up seventy years later and he hasn’t had a single moment of rest to do so. It weighs on him, on all of them. Natasha is at Avengers HQ still trying to find ways to help, and because of the nature of their work and who they are as individuals they can’t truly move on, him especially. But seeing Tony with his daughter I think was a catalyst of sorts for Steve, even if it didn’t fully register for him at first. One of the themes through Age of Ultron was this notion of “home”, and being an Avenger was something they all pretty much had to put first. Tony got his family, he got his home, and for someone who thought that the man who went into the ice seventy years couldn’t have that himself, there came a small burst of a what if. What if he could have that as well? If it happened for Tony…
Seeing Peggy in 1970, seeing his photo on her desk…that did something to him as well. After all those years, he’s still on her mind just seemingly as much as she’s on his. He gets that moment of seeing her again, and that longing was heartbreaking. Just one more look before he had to go back - something just for him because the mission came first, it always comes first, and he didn’t want to screw anything up so he buries it like he does everything else. Steve’s an intelligent little shit though and we’ll come back to that later.
Now here’s where I also need for you to keep in mind the conversation Banner had with the Ancient One in 2012. The Ancient One is hesitant on giving him the Infinity Stone because it will disrupt the pre-determined timeline, but Banner explains that the past is cemented in time and forever exists to allow for a subject to jump through time. Reality is experiential for individuals, meaning a person’s perception of time is linear, regardless of how they jump around the timeline. In layman’s terms, you travel to the past, that past becomes your future and your former present becomes the past which then cant be changed by the new future.
We’ve always known Steve is worthy of wielding Mjolnir so let’s just skip to the ending now shall we?
At the end, Steve goes alone to return the stones to their proper place in time, but also has become well versed in time travel for someone who’s not Banner or Tony. He sees this as a chance to have something that’s been unattainable to him for so long - to live the life Tony wanted for him. To be happy. To not have to fight for once in his life. So he goes to the right place in while in the quantum realm as to not disrupt the main timeline, and that’s when he doesn’t return we see that he’s become an old man finally at peace, handing Captain America’s shield over to Sam, who more than deserves the mantle, not exactly telling him that he got his happy ending with Peggy, choosing to keep it to himself and yet smiling wistfully all the same.
He never changed anything about Peggy’s future either. SHIELD clearly still exists, and do some people honestly think he wouldn’t give her the choice? If he didn’t think there was a strong enough of a chance or had she turned him down someway he would have respected her and returned to the main present timeline. Nothing changed about that, it was just an alternative path. By going back, Peggy’s life without Steve still exists and that Peggy who gets her reunion with Steve now represents a branch timeline.
I get not everyone liked the ending, I do, but to be fair, just because they didn’t like Steve’s ending because it doesn’t fit what they wanted doesn’t mean it wasn’t a fitting end for Steve. He can rest now. Finally.
