she had picked the lock to the shed and opened the door. you followed after her, seeing hundreds of drawings hung around the room.

“i told you.” wednesday exclaimed, showing off the illustrations of the same monster over and over again, the one wednesday claimed to see the night rowan died.

“Do you guys want to find out the sex?” the ultrasound tech asks as I lay with my nineteen-week pregnant belly on the exam table.

“How have we not discussed this?” I ask.

Drake sits beside me in his scrubs, having come over from his shift at the animal clinic to be here for the ultrasound.

“We’ve discussed a lot of other things.” Drake shoots me a pointed expression, and then turns his focus to the tech. “Lexie loves languages and reading. Her favorite color is red. She lives for anything spicy and cheese. Not that she’s having a lot of cheese right now, of course.”

The tech smiles like we’re some adorable couple, clearly having no clue that we’re not in a relationship, and Drake is being a total smart-ass right now. “She’s obsessed with collecting all editions of Harry Potter’s books and eating Mexican food but only if she makes it herself. He thinks everything else it’s tex-mex and not really Mexican. And Oreos are basically a food group. For her”

I punch him in the arm. “I find it highly offensive that the majority of the things you just listed involve food. And you’re kind of self-righteous for a guy who thinks making s‘mores is a religion, marshmallow”

He presses his lips together. “You do talk about food a lot.”

“Only because you don’t understand that Mexican food Is something people should respect!”

He winks at me, and I can’t help but smile. Living under the same roof, even though I have a separate bedroom and bathroom down the hallway from Drake’s room, has certainly been interesting. And I too have learned a great deal about the man whose baby I’m carrying. For example, Drake has an extremely sarcastic sense of humor. He says things that are meant to be taken as a joke but he doesn’t smile while he says them, so people often completely miss the humor. I don’t. Mostly because a lot of things he says are at my expense. He likes to tease me about how many times I change my outfit before work every day just to end up with the first outfit I tried. Or how much I cry when that Apple ad with the grandfather who misses his wife is on. I tried to convince him it was my pregnancy hormones until he made me confess that I always cry at sad commercials. Thankfully, Drake’s teasing isn’t dickish or anything . In fact, I think it’s how he shows someone he’s comfortable with someone. And I’m getting more comfortable with him too.

Seriously…while yes, the NXM were somewhat uneasy WITH Laura and frightened of her…but it’s not like Laura WASN’T accepted.

I’m just tired of writers acting like Jubilee, AA, or the O5 were somehow better, more accepting friends…when the truth was Elixir, Hellion, Dust, and Mercury all cared deeply about Laura- the only people who cared about her involvement with X-Force at all was Surge and Rockslide.

Prodigy seemed at most ambivalent to Laura (probably because of her connection to Hellion later and his relationship with Surge was falling apart at that time), Anole and Pixie were the “younger kids” and didn’t really hangout with the main NXM team as much, and Gentle listed Laura as “one of the people who accepted him” in Divided We Stand.

The ADULTS- Emma, Wolverine, and Cyclops- treated Laura way WORSE than the NXM EVER did…and yet no one ever bothers to call out them. 😒

Maybe Schultz’s goal is to show that this wasn’t entirely true and Laura’s perception was wrong…but I am just really sick and tired of the “Poor Saaaadddd maligned Laura” writing…she has ENOUGH drama and sadness to her story without the stupid NXM “bullying” angle. 😒

personally i think kiri’s love language is physical touch ( and not just because he’s a big golden retriever) kiri is softest boy. he will literally pull you into his lap while and kiss your neck with no fucks given. whenever yall are in public he has to be holding your hand or have his arm around you. he loves and i mean LOVES giving you piggy back rides. he doesn’t care if you protest because you are his baby and he wants everyone to know how much he loves you and that you are his.

how they hug

kiri doesn’t care how long the hug is or if its from the front, back, or side. but whenever he hugs you he absolutely loves to pick you up and spin you around. if you guys haven’t seen each other in a long time he likes to give you REALLY long hugs. he basically cries when he has to let go and bakugo has to yell at him to calm down. he loves to hug you while your in his lap. no matter where you are or what he’s doing if he wants to give you a hug he will give you a hug.

how they kiss

kiri loves to makeout when your in his lap so he can feel you get needy for him and then he’ll tease you and be like “ i just remembered i have homework i need to do” then he’ll just leave you there. that is the one thing you hate about kiri his teasing. again kiri doesn’t care where you guys are he will full on makeout with you in front if anyone with no fucks given. while kiri does love making out he also loves the quick pecks but those usally turn into making out so it doesn’t happen often. kiri always gives you a kiss when you guys have to leave each other no matter for how long.

sero’s love language is quality time and acts of service. whenever sero can he absolutely loves to spend time with you. even tho both of you are very busy with work etc. he always finds time to take you on a date or even just sit home and watch a movie ( and also cuddles but we not gonna talk about that 😜). sero’s favorite thing to do with you is just watch disney movies or have a spa day. before you we’re together you never really pegged sero to be the type to love taking naps but so are you so your not complaining.

sero is the type to literally grab you tell you to lay on your stomach and just start giving you a back massage especially when he knows you’ve been stressed about work or your just not feeling good. sero has always been the type to like to help people so it was no surprise to you when you found out that one if his live languages was acts of service. whenever he know you’ve had an especially long he loves to give you foot rubs on the couch. pretty much like 24/7 sero is asking you if he can do anything for you and while you love it you always protest because he is just too sweet.

how they hug

sero is one of the guys who love to hug you from the back just because he’s possessive and he wants everyone to know your his. whenever you guys are at home getting ready to got to work and your making coffee he always and i mean always comes up behind you and hugs you. he also doe sit whenever your cooking dinner ( well when he’s not asleep that is). sero does not care if you guys are at the most public event sero will hug you from behind no matter what.

how they kiss 

since sero is an ass man he loves to kiss you while standing up or while your sitting in his lap. sero doesn't like to rush kissing you so you guys usually kiss slow and sensual. even though sero isn't big on PDA he will always hold your hand. sero knows how beautiful you are and how much guys hit on you so as much as he can he lets people know your his.

Shinya : I talked with my brother I know it's a suicide mission we could either die or not so what's in the point of being professional all the time never knowing what days you last

Guren's face was so red and he glanced over at shinya you were unconscious and a vampire wanted to drink you dry so I offered him my butt instead okay I wasn't cheating on you I didn't to save your life he couldn't tell him everything but that part was definitely the Truth

Shinya studied his friend's face and decided to leave it exactly like that he didn't like him praying too deep okay I'll let it go this time he leans in and kisses Guren deeply on the lips

The seat that Guren was in want backwards startling him and he looks at his childhood friend in shock

Guren : I had a feeling this was a suicide mission from the start and I didn't want you to come but you you did I guess I can do this one thing for you Guren undid Shinya's belt and uniform jacket and put it in the driver seat and shinya did the same for him as guren and did the belt on his pants as shinya took his off

Shinya : I love you guren he said as he starts to move on guren's lap

Guren was so shocked to hear this come from Shinya's mouth and grads him by the shirt and pull some in for another kiss

Guren : you're so hopeless what am I going to do with you

Shinya : take me with you no matter where you go

Guren managed to move them into the back seat where it was more comfortable and manage is out a sigh

Guren : I love you to you hopeless idiot you knew this was a suicide mission and yet you still came

Shinya could not move any more he was tiers it was his first time so he holds on to Guren

Guren : all he could do was laugh how are you going to help me on this mission if you tired easily

Shinya : I'll be fine i omly need 20 minutes

Guren could only let out a sigh and pet his friends hair

Guren : okay I'll give you 20 minutes no longer we have to go out on time

i totally get what you mean, like i once went to a wedding without my family and i felt socially awkward there since my friend are the one who greet all the guests😹 but i felt like a big girl there, going to the big function without my family😹ughh wedding's food are always good, especially their desserts! im the type who went to the desserts table for like 10 times every hour! maybe because it's free😜 oh, in that situation i am your friend, i'm the type who record/take pic of all of my friends and put it on my social media! i think everyone knows who's my friends are😹 and i keep mentioning to everyone abt how dumb my friend rlly are and so on.

same!! i felt like a big girl at the wedding too 😎 and surprisingly enough, i wasn't as socially awkward as i thought i was! sfbdajhbf on the wedding day, i was the one who took all the photos and videos and my insta stories was filled with my friend's pics that people actually mistaked me for her (until they saw the username and realised it was just me!) ngl i love my best friend, but she sucks at taking pictures of others 😂💀 all the pics she took of me weren't that great (or maybe i'm just not photo-ready??) but the pics i took of her came out pretty amazing!

plss it's like i never had his number and whenever my best friend ranted about him i would type smth and be like "ok now send this to him" 😤👊 and i'm just so confident over text that when i saw him irl and was reminded of all the things i said over text, i just couldn't meet his eyes! ahh pls my best friend has a book on wattpad dedicated for the texts we have, and she's exposed me and stuff i've said over text 😭😣

Day 27 of 14,600 art meditation and journal entry.

So much of my life as a graphic designer has been to create art that connects to the client, and the function part of it is I am solving a problem visually. It’s my dream job, and a whole story of alignment in and of itself. A few years ago I had a conversation with another designer about this idea — what if you took the client out of the equation, what would we make, could we even do it? Part of the drive is being asked to do something, being hired is empowering because it’s a connection, and a source of deep joy and respect for both sides. Even if it is an agreement between egos - liking someone’s work, and paying for it creates a power dynamic - there still is lots of heart in there. In this conversation my friend admitted it would be tough for her to design without a client. And I have to admit, I’ve had a lot of resistance making art for myself. I have not been a good enough reason. I’ve spent years grieving - or my ego has spent years grieving the loss of that kind of ego-juice. Yay! External approval!!

So that’s really the core of all lines are beautiful, finding the heart space and keep giving #HEART to myself.

Which is why I LOVE these hearts and keep bringing them back. They surprised me when they appeared in my design process.

Mess and beauty and #heart, all in one.

Also movement and flow and color.

Imperfection and perfection together. Depth and feeling.

It’s an image that fulfills me completely. Like sex with art. Which is really what this is … THAT should have been my tagline. All Lines Are Beautiful : Sex With Art.

Art is all about feeling.

I am convinced now that we have to actively learn the gift before moving on to the next one, and I think I’ve officially resisted this lesson long enough now, and am ready to release it. And so ::

I feel SO lucky that I get to make art for myself. I could not be happier. Noting this. Well, I could be happier. Part of the dream is to get commissions for my art. Brand bundles, NFTs, Digital Dresses, books, products - all of it. It takes mindful time ….

I finally found my pattern, my repeatable art and life pattern. My heart space. My art. My words. And it does not involve staying inside the first round of the sketch, it’s ever expandable aftermath.

The other day I was visiting the SF MoMA Design store taking photos of all the things I would want to buy. The guy behind the counter was teasing us asking how many $275.00 metal red heart wall decorations we would like?, my sister said “nine”, ha ha, but he warmed up to us. Later when I was still asking him how much some of the bigger items cost - telling me that I had good taste. 🥰

Speaking of good taste (😜!), I wish I had the courage to SAY, but I didn’t think of it until later, “I hope that my designs make it into the MoMA Design Stores someday.” Because I do. And I know they support local artists…. I am deeply inspired by other people’s art AND product designs. Deeply. And even that is something I've been fighting against my entire life. I would be a better person if I wasn’t so materialistic. But tangible things are something we MAKE from our hearts and imaginations, just as much as we create our lives. So there, another stage of self recrimination that I’m done with. :)

Besides which, my former neighbor of 7-½ years died last week, he was much too young. And it just hit me again how short life is. So there is no reason to contain my heart any more.
