A totally random fic request but something where like reader sees like the team treats Spencer badly like interrupting him or something or like making him feel bad and the reader just like following Spencer out and like holding him I guess or something like that, sorry itâs rlly vague đđïżŒ
elevator sweetness ; spencer reid
synopsis: after another slightly deprecating comment was made about spencer, you offer him a shoulder to lean on & some kind words.
warnings: mentions of spencer being a bit sad, morgan making a comment about spencer (ily but leave my boy alone lmao), sorta new to the bau fem!reader, non-established relationship but future relationship is teased, fluff & slight angst themes, loosely based on s2 ep8
note: thank you for the request! i hope you like it! đ
you first noticed it when you walked into the bullpen that morning, leather saddle bag snug on your shoulder as you beelined for your desk. you sat at the cluster of cubicle styled desks across from spencerâs, giving you a perfect view of him, which youâve come to find is a blessing & a curse.
he had walked in moments after you, eyes drawn to the floor or inanimate objects, that curious twinkle was missing, & his soft smile was nowhere to be seen. spencer just sat at his desk, throwing himself into his work without greeting anyone or even getting a start on his morning coffee.
it made your lips pull into a small frown as you turned your gaze back onto your computer before anyone noticed you looking at him for too long.
âbauâconference room in fifteenâ hotchâs voice broke through the morning chatter, the tiniest pit of dread filling your tummy after his alert. you wondered what the case was this time.
after going through your emails in a dash, you made your way to the small office kitchenette to grab a coffee before the round table, glancing spencerâs way once more. you saw derek perched by his desk, a teasing smile on his face like normal, but spencer remained rigid.
it made you frown again.
by the time fifteen minutes passed, you were in the conference room with two cups of coffee, casually placing one where spencer usually sits before the others noticed. you made sure to add lots of cream & sugar.
when spencer walked in, tight lipped & awkward, he felt a little lighter when he saw the coffee on the table. as jj grabbed everyoneâs attention, his eyes fell onto you.
âthank youâ he mouthed before opening the tab on the plastic lid, lightly blowing on it as jj played a video on the tv screen.
this weeks case was dealing with a kidnapping. three high-school girls from a small town, all athletes with bright futuresâbut they disappeared out of nowhere with odd voicemails as the only evidence to go off of for now.
âare we sure that they arenât just going on a road trip? they said theyâd be back by the weekend & their parents arenât all that worried soââ
cutting morgan off, spencer spoke up, much to your surprise. âbut their voicemails were quite cryptic. clean cut. as if they were reading off of a scriptââ
slightly rolling his eyes, morgan interrupted spencer. âyou know, not every high schooler is a stickler for the rules like you were. itâs normal for teenagers to make impromptu plans while theyâre youngâhave a little fun evenâ
about to rebut his point, spencer opted to stay silent. heâs used to being picked on, jabbed a little here & there for his goody toe shoes persona around the team. but today just wasnât the day he could brush it off easily.
noticing spencerâs body language closing in as he slightly slumped into his chair, you took your turn to speak. âmorgan, spencerâs right. the girls sound almost afraid on the phoneâmonotone, maybe even apprehensive. plus, they both said the exact same thing to their parentsâword for word. just because their parents arenât super worried doesnât mean we shouldnât beâ you pointed out, jj quickly agreeing with you before gideon & hotch followed suit.
the meeting soon wrapped up with a warning that the jet would be leaving in half an hour, causing the team to scramble to prepare. as spencer made his way to the elevator, you decided it was your moment just to check in with him.
âspencer!â you gently called out, seeing him stop walking & turn around to see you. it made you smile a little when you saw that he was still nursing the coffee you made for him.
saying your name in greeting, spencer & you continued to walk once you were at his side. âgrabbing your go bag?â you asked & he confirmed with a nod.
âcould i tag along? i have to get mine from my car too. what do you usually pack in yours?â
as you both waited for an elevator in the busy office atmosphere, conversation came easy. you noted the way spencer spoke almost hesitantly, as if he was conscious of him rambling too much that he censored himself. you came to learn that he always packs a few books in his bag with sticky tabs to annotateâitâs become a new hobby of his.
once an elevator became free, the doors closed before anyone else could occupy it. so it was just you & spencer.
despite the decently large space, you both hovered to the centre with a few inches of personal space separating your arm from brushing his. the thought of it made a chill run up your spine.
âcan i ask you something?â you fiddled with your fingers, tempted to pick off the black nail polish you wore as you looked to spencer.
you could tell he was still down in the dumps about something, but without the loud chatter of the office, a metaphorical weight was lifted off his shoulders for a moment.
âsure. whatâs your question?â
swallowing your anxiety in fear it was out of line to ask, you felt like it was right. âis it normal for the others to kinda, i dunno, make comments about you like that?â
you watched as spencerâs face sort of furrowed, clearly not expecting a question like that. he was unsure whether he should answer it honestly or brush it off. heâs gotten used to doing that.
âuhâŠâ he licked his lips, looking away from you to think.
you cringed. âsorry if thatâs weird of me to askâ
he shook his head. ân-no, itâs okay. i-uh, just wasnât expecting you to ask thatâ he scratched his neck, swallowing his own nerves as he continued to look at the metal floor of the elevator.
he wondered why it was moving so slow.
âiâm used to the commentsâmost are made in good fun, i know they arenât targeted to get under my skin. but uh⊠people have said stuff like that, even worse, my whole life. so it doesnât really bother me as much as it used toâ he explained, tight lipped again as he nodded his head, finger drumming against the metal rail.
he knew you could see right through him though. âit doesnât mean those comments canât hurt sometimes though. youâre allowed to feel uncomfortable by themâ you assure him, trying to validate his feelings like you wished others did for you too.
you knew exactly how he felt. different circumstances, but same feelings nonetheless.
the fragility & kindness behind your words made spencerâs chest ache as he turned his head to look at you again, seeing nothing but empathy across your features.
âi know itâs not my place, but i also know that itâs not fun for them to jab at you like that every now & then. i just wanted you to know that iâŠi have your back, you know⊠that i careâ
spencer let the tiny crease in his brow dissipate, his eyes softened, & he felt a blanket of warmth spread across his body at your words. he didnât know what he did to deserve someone so kind.
he almost felt choked up. âthatâs really nice of you,â he spoke your name with such sweetness, it made your heart break into two & mend back together. ây-you donât know how much that means to me. reallyâ
you gave him a warm smile in return, not realizing that your hands were just barely touching his against the metal rail. âitâs no biggie. i know youâd do the same for meâ & spencer nods, affirming that what you said was true.
âi wouldâi-i doâ he corrected, letting a smile grace his lips too. you didnât realize how much you missed it.
âpinky promise?â you proposed, slowly lifting up your hand, pinky outstretched. you hoped it would lighten the mood a bit.
spencer took it without hesitation.
âpinky promiseâ
soon enough, the elevator opened to the car park & you both walked in tandem to his car before reaching yours. more conversation was made along the way, one even included a promise that you both would sit next to each other on the jet & listen to music from an album you recommended him.
from that moment on, spencer couldnât look at you without noticing the way your tucked your hair behind your ears, the crinkle in your eyes when you smiled, or how your laugh made his heart feel fuzzy.
he didnât know that in this moment, he fell for you. & he wouldnât realize it for another year.

out of your league - paul edward x reader (alternate version)
AN: for the paul lovers, all i have to say is, iâm sorry đ ! donât read if you are a paul lover !
read out of your league part 21 for context :)
>>next
The solemn was great but you were sure that your decision was the right one. Your mind was like a tornado by the way thoughts kept coming through.
At the jet landing, Larry and his girlfriend gave you a quick but tight hug before getting into their own car that had someone holding the car door open for them.
A car was waiting for you as well, with Edward holding the door open. You get in the passenger seat and Edward swiftly puts your luggage in the trunk, making sure to keep his quickness at a human level.
The trip was silent but the sound that beat around the car from the busy city life was heard. Reality had set in. You made your choice. Your choice to stay.
The traffic was bad, your eyes were glued to the window. The sky was starting to darken even more than it was, cold rain started to patter softly. A flick of the windshield wipers was heard.
âHow was LA?â he asks you softly, dying to make conversation as he noticed your reserved presence but, you jumped at the voice snapping you out of your thoughts.
âHuh?â you ask him in a small voice.
âHow was LA?â he asks again.
âHorrible.â you say, not changing the volume as you speak in a small voice.
âReally?â he asks in slight astonishment. You huff out a small sigh as you watch the rain roll down your window, it looked really close to tears. You just silently nod.
After some time, he looks over to you, âDo you want to listen to some music?â
âIf you want to, you can turn some on. Iâm not stopping you.â you say in a whisper.
It was low like a hum, the music starts to play from his stereo. The classical song that you told him you liked. You give a slight incredulous look, âReally?â you ask.
His lip lifts up into a smile only just a little, as he looked to you. In a way, it did soothe you a bit. It helped clear the thoughts in your mind. Your sadness started to slowly turn into a tad of anger.
If Paul was going to make an ultimatum like that, you thought, âFuck it.â
It simply wasnât fair. If the shoe was on the other foot, you wouldnât make him choose like that.
âAre you hungry?â he asks and you notice that the song had ended, whatâs now playing is something he seemed to enjoy as you didnât know the song.
You shrug.
âY/N, we canât start this again.â he says softly.
âAt least let meâŠget settled in first. I just want to decompress for a second.â you say. He complies.
The route to your apartment was in your eyes as you looked through the windshield at the street. You get out and your luggage is already in his hand as you move inside of the building.
âI will be quick.â you tell him and he nods as he walks to the sofa that he knew for sure that Alice had picked out.
You sit alone in your bedroom on your bed with your jacket still on. You checked your phone. It was evening now. No calls, no texts, just nothing. You toss it to the side on the soft surface and look to the floor for a moment with a frown with slump shoulders.
Your eyesight begins to blur as tears splat on your lap. You donât make any noise but a deep breath as your face feels hot. This was something that you wanted so badly.
A soft knock makes you collect the tears from your eyes with a soft sniff.
âYeah?â you call out after clearing your throat.
âEverything alright?â you hear through the door and youâre already up and walking towards it. You open it and Edwardâs face is painted with slight worry.
âYesâŠ.Letâs go.â you say to him as you now have yourself together.
You stared at the bubbles that floated about in your untouched drink. You forgot what you ordered.
âYouâre upsetâŠWhy?â he rings out softly.
âI made a sacrifice.â you say lowly.
He stared at you even though your eyes were glued to the cup in front of you.
âDo you want to talk about what it was?â he asks.
You donât say anything at first, but the words were at the tip of your tongue. You raise your eyes to his intense but amber eyes as you began to speak. You had his attention.
âBeing here. Coming back here means I loseâŠ.him.â you say and you look down. He watched you.
The waiter comes before he could speak, he sets your plate down and you give him a quiet thank you after he says that the plate is hot.
âIâm sure you didnât lose him.â he says to you as he slightly shakes his head.
âI did.â you say with such finality. You then take your eyes off of him before unwrapping the silverware. You stab your fork into your plate and you eat in silence without looking back up at him.
That night, you called and called Paul. There was no answer. No text back. Acceptance seeped into your body.
The next morning, Alice made you get out of bed. She wouldnât stop calling to the point that it was your alarm. After getting dressed from your shower, you pull on your jacket and feel in your pockets. The sharp edge of the thin paper poked your fingers and you pull it out. You stared at the amount of 0âs that would change your life. This solidified that you are able to now be the artist without the starving part.
Alice sat with you in the office of a financial adviser at the private bank. You were quiet and let her do most of the talking.
âDo you want to draw later?â she asked softly when they had to answer a quick phone call. You look to her and she looked hopeful. She did nothing wrong and sketching usually made you pour out feelings that were deep within. You nod. She smiles excitedly.
âOkay and youâre good to go.â The fiduciary financial adviser says with a smile and you and Alice rise up.
âHe didnât answer at all?â she asks in disbelief. You told her that you havenât spoken to Paul.
âNo.â you say looking down at the sidewalk with your hands stuffed in your jacket pocket.
âDonât jump to conclusions just yet. Maybe heâs in his wolf form and canât answer.â
You sighed, âAlice, itâs the afternoon. He wouldâve called me by now if not soonerâŠ..â you say in defeat as you both walked.
Alice bells out a happy hello to her brother who is at his piano. The face on his was shocked that you had came in through the door right behind her. He gets up and walks over to you both.
âWhereâs Jasper?â you ask to no one in particular.
âHe went to visit Emmett.â Edward replies.
âYou didnât go?â you ask him as you took off your jacket. Edward almost immediately reaches out and you place it in his outreaching arms. He shakes his head.
âCome on!â she says excitedly.
She takes your hand and Edward watched as you disappeared with his sister.
The mannequin this time had nothing on it. A soft grin forms on your lips. You turn to Alice who is setting down plain white sheets on the large workspace.
âYou didnât make anything?â you ask surprised.
She just gracefully twirls as you stare at what she has on.
âWow.â you just say and she just smiles.
As the sounds of pencils started to scratch into the room, she asks you, âSo..Have an idea on what you would want to do for your birthday?â
You shrug, âProbably just treat myself out..Or something.â you say with uncertainty. Thatâs when her face stretched into a bright smile.
âWhat?â you ask her with a knowing grin.
âNothing.â she says as she starts to color in the design sheâs making.
âYeah, right.â you say shaking your head with a chuckle and go back to finishing your own work. You didnât care too much about drawing the clothes in a technical manner.
âSo..What did you and Edward do for the two days I was gone?â you ask.
âWe just did what we normally do. It was a bit boring to be honest.â she says.
âReally? I meanâŠYou can guys can basically do anything.â you point out. This makes her laugh a little.
âBut, I didnât have anyone to do this with.â she says.
âMm.â you say with a nod as you finish up with whatâs on your paper.
It seemed as soon as you both got done, Edward appeared in the doorway.
âLook at what we made.â Alice says to him and waves him over. He enters and his eyes flicker to yours first. You put a hand over it. Alice nudges your hand, âY/N.â
âItâs not as good as yours.â you say with a slight frown.
âWho cares.â she says with a smile. You let your hand up and Edward is now beside you.
âItâs good Y/N.â he says to you as he inspects it. You thank him even though you donât fully believe him.
âAlright, you two. I have to hunt and by the time I get back, Jasper will be here.â she says to you both and you follow her out of the room.
âYouâre not going?â you ask Edward after Alice had made her departure.
âI went when you and Alice were away.â he says. You nod. You cross your arms and your eyes go to his abandoned piano.
âWhat were you playing?â you ask. He doesnât say anything immediately as he walks to the bench but doesnât sit down.
âHow about I teach you instead.â he says with a warm smile. You put your head slightly up and he chuckled at this.
âCome on, itâs easy.â he says as he gestures for you to come.
You flop down and stare at the keys. They were like a foreign language.
âIâm not going off of anything you say is easy.â you say as you turn your head to look up at him. He stared down with liquid gold eyes with amusement.
âA child can learn what Iâm about to teach you.â he says as you turn back around as he stepped closer behind you.
âPlace your fingers here.â he says and demonstrates with his own as he leaned his arms over your shoulder. You follow and you hold back your flinch from his fingers brushing briefly against yours. You sit up straighter with square shoulders.
His fingers press yours down and have you repeat the first sequence. You do so before he teaches you the next sequence and you do that before you start from the top.
âSee?â he says as you play on your own. You never thought you would be able to play a song on the piano but, to be fair, it was easy. The notes werenât complicated and the melody was simple.
After you play with ease, he suggest another set of notes to make it sound a bit better.
As you play around with it, you couldnât help but softly ahh out at the fact that you were getting the hang of the instrument. He slowly reached back over and adds onto the melody that you were already playing. You both were now playing the piano together.
He retracted his arms and it makes you stop. You turn around and the prolonged eye contact that he gives you makes you nervous. You look down. He senses this and holds out his hand. You stare at it for a moment before taking it.
You shivered slightly as he held onto your hand and leads you to a room. His hand felt like a stone that you had picked up in cold weather.
Your body froze as you stared at the piece he had bought from you. It was nicely placed and it seemed to go really well with the room. You let your eyes travel about.
âThis is your room?â you ask quietly and look to him. He nods. You hum a response.
âI canât believe you bought it.â you say with a sly grin as you continued to look at. You had to admit, you were glad that your hard work didnât go to waste.
âI just couldnât resist.â he says. The room seemed like something was missing. You look around with furrowed eyebrows and he watched you.
He watched your face return back to neutral. He wanted to know what was on your mind as you were clearly thinking hard.
âWhat is it?â he asks.
âOh..Nothing..â you say with a soft chuckle. It seemed embarrassing.
He brings out an encouraging grin, even subtly swinging the hand that was still attached to his, âTell me.â You felt his thumb brush against the back of your hand. You look down and back up at him and his gaze back at you with a fond look.
âYou donât have a bed.â you say and he chuckles out and you continue, âBut I forgot. You donât sleep.â you say with a soft smile that came on your face without permission.
âYouâre right.â he says to you.
âSo likeâŠDo you miss it?â you ask. You genuinely wanted to know. He leads you to a large plush chair that was in his room. He sits down and your hand is still attached to his as you look down at him. He tugs it slightly and you hesitate as you look at his lap.
You decide to sit on the arm of the chair, letting your legs and sock covered feet rest between his leg. You two are now close. You focus on breathing as you realize he never let go of your hand.
âI do now.â he tells you. You look at him in astonishment. You didnât expect that answer.
âYou do? I would figure thatâs the part that didnât really matter.â you say.
âWell.. I didnât care too much for it..ButâŠâ he says but trails off. Silence fell in your ears and you look away from your piece that you were glancing at and look at his face.
âBut what?â
âI wish I could dream.â he reveals in a voice thatâs dripping in velvet.
âHmâŠFairâŠWhat would you dream about?â you asked him.
He then looks down a bit and you match his lax grin.
âDonât leave me on a cliffhanger.â you say humorously.
âI donât want to scare you away. Thatâs all.â he tells you softly.
âA little too late for that. Iâm literally hanging with Dracula right now.â
He laughs out, even tilting his head back and you can see the glisten of his white teeth from the light.
âWhat do you dream about?â he asks. You shake your head and sigh a little, âDonât change the subject.â
âIf you tell me, Iâll tell you.â he says. You roll your eyes a bit, âYouâre so unfair.â
âAn eye for an eye.â he says with a grin.
You huff out a bit before you just shrug, âRandom stuff really. I go on adventures in my dreams. If I were to make a movie about my dreams it would be a mind trip.â
He unclasps his hand from yours before reattaching it. You watch this.
âCome on.â you trail out encouragingly but softly as you see that heâs hesitating still. He swallows just a bit before speaking out, âThis. Us. The things that we do.â
Your breath hitched. For some reason, you didnât expect that to be his answer. You blink at him to see if he would joke or saying, âJust kidding.â but he doesnât. He just waits for your reaction with his intense eyes.
âWasnât expecting that.â you replied with pursed lips as you were in thought. You get up, making sure to not let yourself stumble and wiggle your hand free from his.
You walk to a record collection of his and choose to look at that with your hands on your hips.
âI scared you away.â he states as he speaks over your shoulder.
You bark out a laugh, âThat didnât scare me.â
He picks up a record and you watch him as he shows it to you. He slides it out and placed it in the record player. You continue to watch him.
He turns back around to face you once the needle hits the track and the record spins. The melodic rhythm fills the room. Heâs standing close in front of you and reaches down slowly to grab your hand again. This time youâre not shocked by the difference of the body temperature.
What youâre shocked about is the fact that he pulls you fluidly to him, he carefully placed your hands on his shoulders and he placed his on your waist. Feet started to move and you follow his. No words were said as the slow song played. It reminded you of a vintage romance movie. So much, that you swallowed from nervousness.
You see a mirror and you catch the reflection. It looked like a romantic painting. You didnât know how to feel about that, as you didnât know if you were overreacting.
You lightly huff out a tiny laugh and look down.
âWhat?â he asks as a small grin danced on his lips. You shake your head a bit, âI never thought I wouldâŠI donât knowâŠSlow dancing?â
âYou havenât done this with anyone else before?â he asks and you catch the slight surprise. You shake your head. Before you knew it, he lifts you a small twirl happens as you clutch onto him. You laugh a bit. He sets you back down on your feet with a warm smile, his finger slightly brushed the exposed skin from your shirt lifting a bit. Goosebumps appear and he takes one of your hands and hold it. He lifted you up as easily as one could lift a doll, placing you on your tippy toes on top of his feet.
He looks down at you and you look up at him. He looks content. As if he could look at you all day. Thoughts are empty as you watch him lean closer and closer slowly. You were almost to his height this way, so he didnât have to move too far. He placed a kiss on your cheek. You jerk from surprise but luckily he holds you up in a firm hold.
âIâm sorry.â he whispers out, his eyebrows are knitted together.
âIâŠâ you just say but you couldnât think of anything to say. You were ashamed that a spark was felt on your cheek. You felt guilty.
He sets your feet to the floor and steps back. An apologetic look is on his face.
âIâm gonna use the restroom.â you quietly say with your head down.
In the mirror, the reflection reached and the fingertips touched the touched cheek. You let your eyes fall with your hand.
You reach into your back pocket and pull out your phone. There was nothing. Still no texts, no calls, or even an attempt to reach out. You shove it back into your pocket.
You walk out and you catch Edward brooding in his chair. His eyes lift up to you standing in his room. Your hands rest on your arms as you watch him.
âIâm sorry.â he says again and looked like he wanted to kick himself.
You shrug, âIt wasnât on the lips.â He doesnât say anything but doesnât take his eyes away from yours.
You sit back onto the arm of the chair, just like how you previously were.
You place both arms on your knees as you both stare at each other. You watch as he graced his fingers on your hand.
âYou donât know how good it feels to do this without my throat severely burning.â he says softly. You nod in understanding.
âI have to confess something.â he then says.
You take his hand fully. Hoping it was enough for him to spit it out. It was.
âI did have a breakup with BellaâŠâ
You snort, âWhy did you lie?â
âI felt foolishâŠThat meant that I had to come to terms that I agreed to a relationship with the greatest prey a predator could ever come across. Her blood sang to me.â he says.
âWhat does that mean?â you ask.
âHer blood was like a siren to vampires. It smelled sweeter than most. More mouthwatering than most.â he says and sucks in a breath he didnât have to take, âI couldnât be with someone like thatâŠ.Itâs not like that with you.â
âMy blood sucks.â you joke quietly. Edward forms a slight grin.
âI donât even think of your blood. I just think of you and what you do.â
âYeah, right. Youâre only just saying that because Iâm immune to your power.â
âNot completely immune. I can see the colors that try to merge with each other. I love your mindâŠ.With Bella I just read nothing. Pure nothing.â he reveals.
âAnswer me this.â you say and he says to you, âAnything.â
âWhat did Alice see? Remember I asked you what else did she see? I know you lied, Edward.â you say.
âThis will scare you away definitely.â he says with a nervous smile.
You throw your arms slightly up to gesture to your surroundings. You give him a humorous look.
âA kiss on the cheek scared you.â he teases. You then playfully nudge his chest.
âStop being chicken.â you say as you wait for him to continue.
âShe sawâŠ.Y/N can we please talk about something else?â
âNoooooo.â you say.
He huffs a bit but you patiently wait.
âShe saw our future together. Thatâs all I will say.â he says and rises up. You follow him.
âWas it good or bad?â you ask him.
âNeither.â he answers and you both are back in the living room, âIt was great.â
âWâŠWhat aboutâŠâ you start but shake your head and sit on the large sofa.
âWhat about what?â
âPaul. Does that mean I broke upâŠ.With him?â you ask.
âWith the way we were acting, I hope so.â he says with a bit of hesitance as he sits next to you.
âWeâŠ.were doing something dirty?!â you ask nervously.
He chuckled, âGet your mind out of the gutter.â he taps your temple a bit in a playful way, You roll your eyes a bit.
Alice comes in right in tow with Jasper. Jasper smiles and says hello to you. You greet him back.
âCongratulations, Y/N. Your piece really was amazing.â he says to you. You smile and thank him.
Alice tugs his arm, tugging him away with a smile you knew all too well. Edward rises and you look up at him.
âTheyâre about to go at it.â he says with a slight grimace and jerks his head to the front door. This actually made you chuckle.
You get up quickly and he hands you your jacket. You both agree on walking.
Side by side, the pace match each otherâs.
âI didnât know how much I was impacted by your presence until you were only gone for two days.â he told you.
âWhat do you mean?â
âI thought I was going madâŠWho told you to wrap me around your finger?â he says as the arm of his jacket brushed against yours. You didnât mind. You werenât focused on that, you were focused on with what he was saying.
âYouâre annoying.â you say with a soft smile.
âIâm serious.â he says to you, displaying his own smile.
âWas IâŠHappy? In the vision.â you wonder.
âIâm guessing so. Do you smile when youâre not happy?â
You shake your head.
You both look at books. You both talk about what you both find is interesting. He takes you to get something to eat.
He steadily holds the spoon as you lean forward and capture it in your mouth.
âIs it possible for someone like you to overeat?â you wonder after you sit back in your seat. You didnât want to say it out too loud in public.
âYeah. Itâs like a weird liquidy feeling inside.â he says with a crooked grin.
You raise your hand to get the spoon back. He didnât want to give it back.
âI can feed myself.â you say with a grin.
âI..Like this.â he says with a content grin and waits for your reaction. When you donât give him one, he scoops a bit of your food onto the utensil again and holds it out for you to take a bite. You only have to lean forward just slightly since you both were already in close proximity.
âWhat did you do while I was away?â you ask.
âThe usual.â he shrugs. He continued to stare for a moment before saying, âIt definitely felt like somethingâŠ.Or someone was missing.â
âYouâre saying that to make me feel important.â you say with a grin.
His face is serious, âIâm serious.â he says. The spoon softly clatters back onto your dish. He takes your hands that are resting close to him on the table. Both thumbs scrape against the back on your hands. The butterflies that came scared you.
You retract your hands and look down.
âWhat is it?â he asked feeling confused. You donât say anything but the waitress comes back over with a smile asking how the everything was, you let Edward answer as you take small bites of the rest of your food.
âEverything is fine. We can get the check.â he says to her but he doesnât look at her. He just watched you.
She leaves and he calls your name, even going as far as covering the hand thatâs still on the table.
âWe have to stay friends. Nothing more.â you say with a shaky voice.
âSo weâre friends. I thought you hated me.â he teases and as much as you didnât want to, you laugh a little at his statement.
âI hate no one.â you say.
âIf weâre friends, does that mean I can still see you?â he asks you.
You push your empty plate away from you slightly and just give him a glance. You lift a shoulder up slightly as you felt nervous.
âAm I that boring?â he asks plainly. You lean forward a bit, âNo.â you say with a chuckle.
âI want to be honest. I know I lied to you about Bella and Iâm sorry. Youâll get nothing but the truth from me.â he says.
âItâs okay. At least you told me before I found out in a different way. I want to be honest too. I donât know where I am with Paul and I donât want to complicate things.â you admit.
âCan I ask you something?â
âGo ahead.â
âDo you enjoy the time that we do spend together?â He asks as he holds your eyes in his.
You held it in. You didnât admit nor deny. You both stared intensely at each other. The waitress then comes and gives Edward the bill back.
âRide or walk?â he asks you.
You shrug as you look at him.
You ended up going home. The ride home had a tense cloud but it was expected. You call Paul again and again. You call one more time and he picks up the phone.
âYes, Y/N.â The voice is annoyed.
âHey.â you say into the line.
âWhat do you want.â he said flatly. It had no energy. You knew that you were the cause of that.
âI just wanted to check up on you.â you say in a small voice.
âIâm fine.â he just says and you wait to see if he would speak again. He doesnât.
You finally say something, âI know youâre mad at me.â
âIâm not doing this over the phone.â he says impatiently.
âWhat youâre doing is being an ass right now. I just want to talk.â you say feeling frustrated.
âTalk? Talk for what? Youâre going to always do your own thing anyway.â he says.
âYouâre so cold and for what?â you ask him in disbelief as a pang hits your chest.
âNow, Iâm cold.â he says sarcastically and huffs out a laugh, âI canât do this.â
You stand up and grit out, âCanât do what?â Your anger rise. You refused to believe that he was serious. âCanât do what?!â you ask louder.
âWhatâs the point in trying to be with someone who always goes against you? Who doesnât love you back? Who doesnât seem to care about the connection thatâs shared? Iâve tried Y/N. Iâm tired Y/N. You want to talk about cold, itâs you. You know and I both know that youâre not even coming back.â he spits out.
âUnfair. You donât love me. You donât talk to someone you love like that, threatening breakup-â
âSave the bullshit. I did! I wouldnât say shit like that to someone I donât love. You donât love me. Itâs all one sided. Youâre so fucking blind to see it. Wake up!â
âDid? So, the times that I went against everyone just to be with you, didnât matter huh?â
âYou know what I mean and you wouldnât have to give a fuck about everyone if you knew what you wanted in the first place. One minute, you make it seem like Iâm your priority and the next, you make it seem like Iâm not. You donât even know what you want.â
âI do. I do.â you say as the silent tears fall onto the wooden floor.
âYou donât.â
âI know what I want. I want someone whoâs not going to control me. Itâs like youâre ruining this for me on purpose. Itâs always your way or âweâre doneâ well guess what? Let me give you your way. Iâm tired of you always threatening me. If you want us to be done, fine. Weâre done.â you choke out and press the end call. You throw your phone down on the ground in an angry grunt.
The phone vibrates and you pick it up. You slide your finger on to the screen and he immediately starts talking, âFirst of all, no one is controlling you and second, just remember that itâs you who wants to end things shitty. Then, youâre gonna fucking hang up on me? Talking about how weâre done?â
âOh, now you care!â you say as you pace, âI havenât even heard from you! You canât do this remember!â you say angrily in the phone, taking it away from your ear to speak directly into the speaker.
âIâm not fucking doing this. This is toxic. I fucking canât.â he says.
âYouâre toxic. Youâre cancer. I cared about you and you didnât care back unless you need your dick wet. Thatâs the reason why you want me home. This imprint is just an excuse for you and your wolf to dominate me.â you hiss out.
âLook at how youâre fucking talkingâŠCared?âŠ..â he grits out.
âIâm not being stuck in La Push just to make you happy. You know what? Just because you canât leave doesnât mean you get to take it out on me! Us living together isnât working. I donât even want to come backâŠ.To your house. I want a boyfriend not a father!â
He hears your angry breathing as you pace.
âMy houseâŠ.Youâre talking crazy. I bet you donât have an answer on when youâre coming home. Youâre doing this shit on purpose. You know that Larry said you can come home but youâre going off of some psychic leech who doesnât give a fuck about you except for your blood.â After a beat, he speaks again, âYou cashed that leechâs money, didnât you?â he says menacingly. You didnât recognize this person on the phone. He didnât recognize the person on his line.
You not saying anything told him the answer.
âBye, Y/N.â he says.
Click.
You stare at the screen. It cracked. You groan and throw it down again. But, harder. You slowly say on the bed, staring at the wall, your adrenalin comes down. Reality sets in. You realized your fuck up. Your face crumbled.
Face down, you angrily cry into your mattress. Your body and your shoulders shake. You never been this mad before. You cry about the cruel things that you said. You couldnât take them back. You think about the cruel things that he said. He couldnât take them back.
He told you he loved you, but you felt that there was no way he could never love you after tonight.
With a pounding headache, the morning light flashed you. Your phone didnât work anymore. The screen was discolored and cracked, you couldnât see anything on it. You just cried. You slept when you felt sad. You couldnât explain the heaviness that you felt.
A knock scared you, making you jerk out of your sleep. You ignored it. They kept knocking.
Swinging the door open, you donât say anything but stare at the person in front of you. They saw that you had on the same clothes from yesterday but they were wrinkled on your body.
They step closer and you step back and close the door. Their foot wouldnât let you.
âIâm worried.â
âDonât be.â you hiss out.
âMe and Alice tried calling you.â Edward says.
âMy phone is broken.â
âJust please tell me whatâs wrong. I wonât say anything and will let you talk.â
âI. donât. want. to. talk.â
âCan I at least get your phone fixed?â
âI donât want it anymore.â you say and leave the door and go to grab it from your bedroom floor from where you discarded it.
You walk back to his body and put it in his hand roughly.
âKeep it.â you say.
âYou said we can be friends. Why wonât you let me help you as a friend?â he asks you as he peered down at you.
âThereâs nothing you can do.â you say in defeat and looked down. He slides the no good phone into his pocket.
He places two hands on your shoulders and pull you to him. You frown a bit until your head is now on his chest. He just holds you to him without saying anything.
âHow did this happen?â the worker asks you. You take in a small breath as you start to feel embarrassed, Edward places a hand on your back.
âI threw it down. I was angry.â you just say.
âThe screen is absolutely no good. It needs a replacement.â the worker says as they inspect it some more.
âNo need to fix it. Iâll just get a new one.â you mutter. You then follow them to pick it out. He gives you your old sim card and gives you the bag that contained your new device. Before you could pull your card fully out of your wallet, Edwardâs chip is already stuck in the machine.
You both are in no rush. He carried your box after discarding the bag.
âYouâve done enough.â you say as you face him before going inside of your own place.
He placed a hand on your arm and it halts you. He searched your face for a moment.
âWhat really happened? Why were you upset?â he asks you softly.
You look up at the sky.
âI ruined everything.â you say flatly.
âDo you want to talk about it? I do have forever.â he says, trying his best to bring humor into it.
âNo.â you say as you then look down. âI need to be by myself.â
You walk away.
You stared at the glowing phone in your hand. Itâs the most youâve been called from the pack. The most was from Sam, your stomach dropped at the fact. You turn your phone off. You didnât want those emotions to spill out again.
The only that open in your art room was the window. You just let it out in there. You had no direction as you worked. It was all impulse.
A stretched canvas was covered by the time sky was dark. You didnât care that your hands and your back was hurting. The theme was self hatred. The theme was self sabotage. The theme was loss.
You sit down and put your head to your knees, starting to cry some more.
When you woke up, you winced as you rose up from the hard floor. Your hands and fingers were stained by you didnât care. The same clothes from a day prior were once again on your body.
You felt too ashamed to look into the mirror. Under the water, the same thought floated through your mind.
âWhat am I going to do?â
You sat on the bench, finishing a hot sandwich. Eating it on autopilot, you stared at the same spot in front of you.
You feel your phone in your pocket buzz and pull it out half heartedly.
âYeah.â you say, lacking any emotion.
âY/N, what the hell is going on?â the voice coated in authority.
âA lot. I donât want to talk right now.â
âIf not now, then when? We have to talk. Paul fucking snapped.â
âItâs what he always does. As soon as he doesnât get his way. The one time Iâm doing something for me itâs a problem. Iâm here for work and I need to focus.â
A pause soon took place before Sam talked again, âThereâs still a chance to resolve both of you guysâ issues. Now, you do have to come home so you both can talk and work it out. Youâre his imprint.â
âHis. Itâs all about him, I guess.â
âY/N, donât be like that. This isnât like you. It feels like Iâm talking to a completely different person. Whatâs really going on?â
âNothing! Oh, I know. Everyoneâs trying to parent me instead of letting me live my life. My dream was to always do this. With or without Paul. I thought the imprint was about him making sure I am happy too?â
âIt is. No oneâs trying to parent you. However, Paul is in bad shape. I want you both to really get through this and not fall apart. Especially not right now.â
âToo late. We said too much that we both canât even come back from. Iâll talk to you later.â you say. Sam calls your name but you hang up. You put your phone back into your pocket.
The next few days, seemed like a daze. You only remember bits and pieces. Like Emily calling you. Thatâs how you knew, it was definitely over.
As you got dressed for a dinner meeting with Larry, a knock hits your door. You open it and itâs Alice.
You both talk as she zipped you up from the back.
âItâs really over.â
âIâm sure itâs not.â she says, throwing your idea away.
âHe got Emily to help him move my stuff out.â you say flatly.
Alice pauses and looks at you from behind before standing in front of you.
âAreâŠYou okay?â
âLife keeps on going.â you say with a soft shrug. She then wraps her arms around you.
You watched as Larry talked loud with a man that he knew for years. He owned his own high profile gallery and wanted to know if Larry stumbled across any talent.
Larry brought you.
You didnât drink leisurely. But you did tonight.
âI know she has something done. Y/N.â Larry calls to you. You look at him. Heâs wearing a humorous smile, he was tipsy.
âYou got something done?â he asks you and you nod and he laughs nudging the client whoâs very pleased.
âBring what you got into my office tomorrow.â he says. You nod.
What you brought, he liked. He actually vocally loved it. You forced a soft smile to be polite. He shook your hand and offered to buy it off of you.
âHow much do you want for it?â he asks as Larry sits on the edge of his office desk, hands in his pockets. The man had an elbow resting on his hand as he looked at the work you did.
âUmâŠâ you say as you look at it, âWhatever you can give me.â
He was generous. Too generous. Your eyes bulge out of your sockets at the amount of 0âs. Larry and the person who paid you, shook each otherâs hand with a smile. They promised each other to catch up with each other soon.
Coming out of the office, you stopped past your apartment to get your book. You didnât want to be stuck in the boxed home. The wind wasnât blowing too bad.
You were entrapped into the storyline of your book. You hear faint movement from the small table you were sitting at. You look up to see liquid gold staring back at you. You look back down to the words.
âCongratulations on your piece being sold.â he says.
âThanks.â you mutter.
Some time slowly went past as you tried to concentrate back onto your book but you just couldnât. You get up and Edward thought you were leaving. You instead went to a table that had a puzzle laid out. You focused on that.
He slides the piece that you were looking for in your direction. You stare at it. You sigh. He doesnât say anything.
âWhat do you do when you want to crawl into a hole and die?â you ask him quietly as you snapped the piece into place.
âI just go away for a while.â he answers.
âMaybe, thatâs what I need to do.â you mused.
âMaybe.â he says back.
He speaks again, âIâm going to Ithaca again. Would you come?â
You look at him. Heâs waiting for your answer.
âI have nothing else better to do.â
A night of sleep later, you watch the road in front of you as he drives on it.
You were surrounded by hugs and talks of how happy they were to see you.
âSurprised that Alice isnât here.â Esme says.
âHer and Jasper decided to stay back.â Edward answers.
âHow long will you be with us?â Carlisle asks with a smile as he looked down at the bag that Edward was carrying.
âItâs just for a breather.â Edward says.
âItâs not much, but thank goodness thereâs a bed for you to sleep in.â Esme says as she guides you up the grand stairs, into a spare bedroom. It was very spacious.
âI appreciate this. Thank you.â you say.
âJust let me know if I can help you with anything.â she says. You nod and she starts to leave but you say, âWait.â She stops in the doorway, eager to hear what you have to say.
You hesitate but her eyes were warm enough for you to feel comfortable enough to continue, âHowâŠ.How do you get over feeling heart broken? This is the real reason for the getaway.â you say in a small voice. She steps in and has a sympathetic look on her face.
She extends her arms out and you step in them. She rubs your back as you hug her back.
âJust feel it and then let it go.â she says. You both step back and look at each other. You nod in understanding. She touches your arm in a gentle manner.
You sketch in your book with your knees up as you sat on the bed. It was causal. You let your mind feel and run through the memories of you and Paul. You let yourself feel the emotions and the feelings that wanted to overflow.
You hear your name being called and you jerk from being startled.
âScared me.â You say to Edwardâs figure in the doorway.
âYou scared me. Iâve been calling your name.â he says.
You pause as you look at him.
âYou have?â you ask. He nods. You watch as he moves closer into the room. He sits on the edge of your bed.
âYou can talk to me if somethingâs wrong.â he says.
You set your book aside and you watch as his eyes couldnât help but flicker to the open page.
âItâs not finished yet.â you say to him.
âI wouldnât have been able to tell.â he says bringing out a soft grin. Nothing is said for a moment.
âSee anything? Read anything?â you ask and point to your temple. He nods a bit.
âIâm sorry, Y/N.â he says sympathetically. The way he says it made it seem like he was the one who hurt you.
âWhat doesnât kill us really makes us stronger.â you say, chuckling a bit at the clichĂ©.
âYou are strong.â he comments quietly.
In the kitchen, you stood next to Edward as you watch him stand at the island as he pours piping hot water over a tea bag thatâs resting in a tea cup.
He slides you the cup and the small bowl of sugar cubes.
It was only you and Edward in the living room after you had drunken your tea. It soothed your throat. The television wasnât on. You both talked.
âSoâŠHe just moved your stuff out?â he asks quietly.
âYeah. A friend of mine helped him andâŠEverythingâs back at my familyâs home.â
âHow come you never really talk about your family?â
You shrug.
âI donât know. Plus, theyâre always so busy.â you answer. The times that they were there, they would be so tired from working that you felt bad to bother them. You knew it was so you could live comfortably. But, you missed that family orientation. The pack gave you that, but you didnât know if that was even on the table still.
âIs that what made you like doing art so much?â he asks. You nod.
âI was a lonely kid. Art was always my friend.â you say.
âWhen you moved out, was it a relief to them?â he asks.
âNot a relief but, they were just glad that I found someone who made me happy.â you say. You look to him.
âYou donât have to answer, but since changing, do you miss your real parents?â you ask.
Edward mused, he spoke out, âYes. But, I know that my mother was on her last breath begging Carlisle to save me.â
âShe knew?â you ask surprised.
âIâm not sure if Iâm quite honest.â he answered.
âWere you the only child?â you ask. He nods.
âThis might be random but since youâre who you areâŠAre you able to have children with someone?â you ask.
âNo.â he answers. Youâre confused.
âI have nothing but venom through my body. Excluding the blood from when I feed.â
âWow.â you say.
âWould you want children in the future?â he asks.
You shrug, âTheyâre a lot of responsibility. So, Iâm not sure.â
âAnd expensive.â
You give him a look, âI think thatâs the last thing you have to worry about.â
He makes smiles a bit, âStill, we canât leave that part out.â
âWhat about you? Would you want children if you could have them?â you ask and he looks at you while you ask this question.
âWith the right person.â he answers.
Rosalie enters the room, she takes a glance at you. âWhat are you doing still up?â
âItâs early.â you say.
âItâs the middle of the night.â she says.
âWhat? I canât be apart of the party?â you ask. She grinned at this.
âI heard talks about children we canât have.â she says as she sits down in a chair facing the both of you.
âYou wanted a family?â you ask. She nods. You then find out that sheâs a New York native.
âWhat part?â you ask.
âRochester.â she says. You nod in acknowledgment. You all fall into casual talk and you see the sibling dynamic between Rosalie and Edward. The bantering between them were tossed back and forth.
You started to yawn. You rise up. Edward followed you with his eyes.
âGoodnight, Rosalie.â
âGoodnight. Or should I say good morning.â You both smile at each other.
You turn to Edward whoâs watching you in a relaxed state. You lightly smother your hand on his that was resting on the arm of the sofa. You peer down at him as he looks up to you.
âGoodnight, Edward.â
âGoodnight.â he says with a warm smile.
You slept until you hear a knock on your door. You sit up and rub your eyes with the soft, warm blanket.
âCome in.â you say in your morning voice and yawn. You open your eyes from your yawn to Edward holding a breakfast platter.
âYou didnât have to do this.â you say as he placed the platter over your legs.
âIt was nothing.â he says. As you ate, he asked, âAre you feeling better?â
You slowly chewed, âIt will take time.â
Edward took your empty dishes and told you, âWe should be back soon. Me and the others are going out to hunt.â You nod.
You get ready for the day, shaking your head at the fact that Alice snuck in some clothes. You then lounge while reading a book.
Your mind started to trail off and you started thinking of Paul again.
âJust let it go.â you say in your head as you closed your eyes.
But you couldnât. You still felt the connection there.
You call Jared.
âY/N, Y/N, Y/N.â he says as he picks up the phone. The voice wasnât happy. He was disappointed.
You sigh a bit, âHey.â
âYou know you fucked uo right?â
âI knowâŠ.Wheres Paul?â with deep shames
âHe hasnât been here in days. He wonât shift back.â
You sit up straighter, âHave him call me. I know I said things I didnât mean and I really want to apologize to him.â
âI thinkâŠThatâs not going to work.â he says.
âWhy not?â
âHe played back everything and I saw everything. Y/N, you really broke his heart. Youâre all that he had. You of all people should know that. I really canât believe you.â
âYes.â
âHold up.â he says and itâs silent. However, heâs still on the line. Your heart pounds in your ears.
âYeah.â It was blunt. No feelings.
You open your mouth to say sorry, but you felt like it wasnât enough. You close it back. You let out a breath that he hears. He then speaks again.
âY/N. We have to be apart.â
Your heart felt like it was being squeezed.
âI know that you know that you know that your stuff is back with your family.â There was no ill intent in his voice.
âYes.â you say.
âIâm going to let you do your career. I wonât hold you back. You do you and Iâll do me. Whether you hate me or not, Iâm still your protector. You wonât have to worry about me stepping on your toes, Y/N.â
âI donât hate you.â you whisper as you hold your head.
âBut, Iâm gonna go ahead and go.â he says and before you could finish saying okay, Jared was back on the line.
You donât know how you stayed with your head down with your forearms on your knees, but you sit up when the room light turns on.
You blink. Rosalie stares at you.
âEverything alright?â she asks from the doorway.
âTime will tell, then I would know.â you say.
She furrows her eyebrows in thought. She took in the statement.
Edward watched as you followed Rosalie. You walked down the steepness of the wooden stairs into the garage.
You just look around as the shiny cars and she stops in between two cars.
âWhich one is yours.â
âBoth of them.â
âNice.â you say.
You sat on a stood as you watched swiftly clean the car. Still slow enough to have something to do in order to talk to you.
âSo it was Edward, then you, then Emmett, Alice, and then Jasper.â you say after she tells you about her. She told her truth. She liked being human.
âYeah.â she says lightly as she treated the task with such diligence. However, it looked like an editorial photo shoot for a magazine.
âYou learn any of this stuff in college?â
âFrom high schools and universities that I have graduated from of course. Electrical engineering, astrophysics, and business, degrees in all of them.â She says with a soft smirk, âAlso, I help keep Carlisle up to date on the latest advancements since so I also studied medicine.â Sheâs proud of herself. She looks to you.
âBusy and brilliant.â you comment. You were impressed. She softly flips her hair without any hands, only a little at that statement.
âWhen my future car gets messed up, I know right who to come to.â you day and she laughs lightly.
âOr buy another one.â she says with a grin.
âNah, I would just hold onto it. It has to be on its last leg in order for me to just buy another one.â
âI heard your birthday was coming up. Have any ideas of what youâre going to do?â she asks.
âNo idea. Most likely spend the day by myself and treat myself.â
Her chuckle kind of caught you off guard as she looks at you.
âWhat?â you ask.
âI doubt you will be by yourself.â she points out with a soft grin.
âWellâŠ.Definitely canât go home for my birthday.â you say sadly.
âThereâs more to do here thanâŠ.There.â
âIm supposed to listen to the native who wonât show me around her city?â you tease and you saw her white teeth flash.
âI will show you around. But, me and Emmett are getting married again soon.â
âHow sweet.â you comment with a sappy smile as you slowly spin while sitting on the stool.
As you move through the home, you hear Emmettâs loud booming voice.
âCome on!â
He was intently watching the television as people in hard helmets were tackling one another on the field with a brown football. There was a significance in the scores, you were guessing the team Emmett was rooting for was losing. You watched this until the announcer transitions into a commercial break.
He starts to vent to Carlisle about how itâs a shame that his team was losing to âhorrible players.â Carlisle lip turns up only a little at his sonâs frustration with the sport. He then turns and sees that youâre watching the scene.
âYou seen that right?â Emmett asks you. You nod.
Carlisle chuckles as Emmett starts talking to you about interceptions and you just stare at him as you were never really into football. But, you still nod and hum out responses as he talks with his hands. The sound of the game resuming from break makes him then turn back around and watch the screen.
You feel something in your hand and you look down. Then back up to Edwardâs soft expression.
âEsme wants to check up on you.â
He leads you through the home and into Esmeâs workspace. Blueprints of architectural drawings were spread out on her desk. She looks up with warmth as she sees your face.
You move in closer as her maternal nature made you feel at ease.
âAre you okay?â she asks in concern. You nod.
âDid you think about what we talked about?â she asks.
âYes.â
Edward looks between you two and he doesnât hide his quizzical expression. Esme softly laughs at this as she takes a look at his face.
âThis is girl talk, Edward.â she states to him. You didnât notice that his hand was holding yours until he had to remove himself.
With him gone, you reveal your phone call to Jared. You kept it discreet as possible due to his super hearing, but you were thankful that she was able to read between the lines.
âI was all that he had. The guilt feels worse than the words that were being said.â you say.
For him to be their mortal enemy, she doesnât show it as she genuinely says, âIâm sorry.â
Then subject smoothly changes as you point out her home renovation plans. You find out thatâs what she likes to do.
âI have degrees in art and photography as well.â she says.
âIâm mad, you never told me you had a degree in art.â you tease and she chuckles.
âYup. Iâm so impressed with you though. Youâve never been to college but yet here you are knocking things out of the park like a pro. You really have a gift.â she says.
âThanks.â you say.
âEdward has to bring you around more often so that we can have our own little art session. Maybe you can teach me a thing or two.â she says and you shake your head, âMe teach you?â
She smiles, âYouâre doing something that Iâm definitely missing.â
âAn art session would be nice.â you say and sheâs pleased with this statement. You look down at the blueprints of interior and exterior designs that were at her fingertips.
âI designed this home.â she says and youâre impressed as you really look around. You make note to take a closer look of the home when you leave her workspace.
âDid you design the home in Washington?â you ask. She nods.
âWhen I saw the house for the first time, I just kept thinking about how good the build was. It was impressive.â you say.
âI appreciate that. I actually would like to design a home for you.â
âNo, no, no need.â you say but she overpowered your statement with, âYes. And I want to.â with a smile.
âWhy are you guys soâŠWelcome? Especially to meâŠA human.â
âI canât speak for anyone else but, me and also Carlisle see how happy you make our dear Edward.â
Your stomach drops and you stutter out, âOh, umâŠMe and Edward are just friends thatâs all.â You say fidgeting with the small magnetic balls that rested on her desk.
âWell, youâre a good friend to him. Heâs more lively around us instead of usual brooding self. Oh, you should see the look on his face when we ask about you.â
You nervously chuckle as the small ball clacked softly with the other one, her actions reminded you of a mother who was embarrassing you.
You ate a bowl of soup as you listened to Emmett get mad at the television that contained the players who tiredly walked with their hands on their hips.
âA loser team beat them. A team that doesnât come close to their record at that!â
You softly chuckle as you know how that feels. You didnât expect Edward to enter in. You nod your head in acknowledgment at his presence.
âAnd Esme wants me to bring you around more often.â he says as the bickering continues.
With a soft grin, âThat doesnât bother me.â You then look at him watching you and you continue with narrowed eyes, âYou werenât supposed to be listening in our girl talk.â
He taps to his ear, âYou know I canât help it.â
âYou couldâveâŠI donât know. Ran off somewhere.â You shrug as the spoon touch your lips.
âRun where?â he asks.
âLike I would know. You know this place better than me.â
âI want to show you something tomorrow.â he says.
âIf itâs bad, Iâll pass.â you say.
A melodic chuckle rings out that makes you look at him, âItâs nothing bad. Why do you always think of the worst?â
âTo brace myself for impact.â
âI impact you?â
âNot too much.â you say at his smile.
He takes your empty bowl away as soon as your spoon sets down. He comes back when you move off of the chair.
âAre you up for another match?â he asks you as you move into the living room.
âAnother match of what?â
He puts an arm around you and steers you to the small table with the chess pieces sitting tall. You give him a look. He looks back.
âIâm not going to do you like that. I whooped you so bad last time.â you say and you couldnât help but grin when you heard Emmettâs abrupt laugh.
âYou were scared during the entire first part of the game. Donât get cocky now.â Edward teases.
He sits down and you flop down at the small table in the corner.
He was in charge of the black pieces and you were the white.
âReady when you are.â he says as you were supposed to make the first move.
You do so. He was relaxed. You stare as he move his piece without hesitation.
You move again and he moves after you.
You stare at the board in disbelief. Your jaw was dropped, he beat you in the matter of four moves. You didnât know how it was possible.
He takes a finger to move your mouth up to close it.
âKeep the flies out, shall we?â
You nudge his hand which makes him laugh. You rise up and he calls for you to sit back down. You shake your head slightly and move to walk past him to the staircase but he lightly grabs your hand with both of his.
You halt your steps but you donât look at him.
âI didnât know you had a sore loser attitude.â he says and humor is coating his tone.
âWhatever. Itâs still 1-1.â you say.
âIâll go easy this time.â he says and this makes you look at him. Heâs enjoying this. You playfully roll your eyes. You let him lead you to him as he softly tugs you. You peer down at him.
âItâs just a game Y/N.â he speaks out.
âYou think I donât know that?â you say to him. You feel his fingertips caress your hand as you say this to him. He doesnât say anything as a warm smile dance on his features.
âMaybe we should end it here. I won so you got me back.â you suggest. You tried to keep your voice even as best as you could.
âYou know youâre the only person I can play against fairly.â
He laughs at your loathing expression at the thought of another game.
âPlease?â he bells out. You sigh as you look at his face.
âWill it get you to leave me alone?â you ask without any weight as you then take a seat across from him. Your legs brushed his and he didnât mind. He instead set the pieces back on the right place on the board without rushing.
âIâm not sure about all of that.â he says with a crooked grin.
You both didnât finish the game. He savored it out to the point where you resigned from the match. The amount of pieces you both had were equal to each other and you know that he did it on purpose.
âThis doesnât mean you win.â you say.
âItâs a tie anyways.â he says with a grin.
âIâm going to bed.â you say. You noticed that the others werenât in the living room with you and Edward.
âItâs still early.â he says as you rise up and he rises too. He takes your hand again, âWatch something with me.â he persuades.
âAnother vintage movie?â you ask as you let him lead you to the spacious couch.
âIt doesnât have to be.â he says.
âI was just teasing.â you say. He relaxes as you sit down next to him.
He was impatient as you ate breakfast the next morning. You raise your eyebrow at him as softly drummed his fingers on the table as you took your last bites.
âReady to go?â he asks as soon as you put your dish in the sink.
âI just got done.â you say with your hands up defensively.
You didnât expect him to lean forward and zip your coat up for you when you were finished putting your arms through the jacket.
You watch him as he then takes your hand, leading you outside of the home. Before you knew it, you were on his back as he ran with such blurred speed.
The wind wasnât blowing as bad as you thought it would be. The landscape looked as if it were untouched. You greedily took it all in as you were sliding off of him.
You take steps forward as it was spacious. It looked as if it could go on forever and ever. The blooming plants made you forget that it was ever chilly outside.
You look to Edward, âHow do you even-â you start but look ahead again as you answered your own question.
He interlaced his hand with yours and brought you down with him. You sat close next to him as you look at the joined hands.
Not taking your eyes away, âDo you remember what I said?â
âI couldâve ran off somewhere?â he asks you and you look at him as he grins. You lift the joined hands that never detached and nudge them against him and you say, âNo. Not that.â
âThen what?â he says.
âThatâŠYou knowâŠ.That weâre friends.â you say as you look down. You didnât say it out loud loudly. A loud volume of words seemed to be out of place for a scenery like the one you were at.
âI know. My Dracula mind didnât forget.â he says and you both breath out a soft chuckle.
He watched you however, stare at the hand that he was still holding. Your face was blank but he knew that you were thinking.
âDoes this inspire you?â he asks you carefully.
âAnything does.â you say.
âSo does that meanâŠ.I inspire you?â he asks. He meant it as a joke but his ears heard your heart thump an extra beat.
You instead stare at the distance. You didnât see the happiness that danced on his face.
You look back down when you felt his hand let go of yours. He is sitting back with his elbows resting beside him.
You copy him. He turns his head to look at your face. It was pleased.
âDoes this feel good? On your skin I mean.â you ask.
âThe weather?â he asks in confirmation. You nod.
âSo so.â
âIs that your version of my âitâs alrightâ ?â you ask and you watch as his face is full of amusement.
âNothing beats your âitâs alrightâ. You make it so obvious.â
âIs that so?â you ask sarcastically.
âAnswer this then. What do you think about the time that we spend together?â he quizzes.
âItsâŠâŠâ you instinctively replied but you roll your eyes as his eyebrows raise with a smile. He was ready to laugh at you.
âItâs horrible. Youâre the worst person to hang out with.â you say but his melodic laugh is being heard in your ears already.
âThe worst person shows you the best places.â he comments as he stared at you.
âItâs not all that great.â you mutter but his amusement never faded.
He takes your hand again and lays down on his back. He placed your hand is placed on his hard chest. The chill of his skin made little goosebumps rise on your arm. You furrow your eyebrows as you stare at the soft material of his shirt.
âWhat are you thinking about?â he asks you as he watched you.
âI donât know why it never occurred to me that you donât have to breathe. Your chest doesnât rise up and down like mine does.â you observe.
âWe donât have to. But, itâs uncomfortable for me.â he says.
âUncomfortable, how?â
âItâs how I sense my surroundings. Plus, itâs a familiar action.â
You nod.
âYouâre so warm.â he comments.
âYouâre so cold.â you comment back as he then slides your hand up to his cheek. It felt like you were touching a statue.
You couldnât help but to feel with your hand. He lets you. Your fingers trace the smoothness of his cheek before you slide them slowly down to his jawline. His blinking starts to slow.
You had to admit, the longer your hand was on his skin, the surface of it didnât feel freezing. Your body temperature adjust to the touch. You peer down as your hand was now rising on his forehead. Slightly hooded eyes stared back at you with such intensity, in the pit of your stomach a wave of sensational energy violently fluttered about. Your hand slides up and disappears into his hair and you pull your hand away like it was fire. You didnât expect it to feel like rich silk. Sitting up fast but nervously, you try to keep your breath even.
âSomething wrong?â he asks as your eyes wildly look everywhere but him.
âAre you sure you werenât dazzling me?â you softly ask with your eyes closed. You sit with your knees up to your chest. He sits up as well, heâs forearms rest against his knees. Heâs very close and tilts his head to have a better look at your face.
âNo. I wouldnât do that to you.â
You donât look at him.
âIs that why youâre scared to look at me?â he asks quietly but it sends a chill in your ear.
You slowly turn your head to his direction but your eyes are still down. Your eyes watched as he didnât have to wear a jacket, traveling up his shoulder, thatâs when seen a glint hit his exposed neck. It reminded you like a gem. You let your eyes travel up more, you mentally kick yourself for them to land at his lips, because when you look up into his set of eyes, his gaze is on yours as well. Itâs very in tune. A look of yearning that almost scared you.
You were afraid to react, not out of fear, but you didnât know how to react. Your breath changed its pattern when his hand slowly reached out. You eyes fluttered closed as you felt the soft but firm brush of the hook of his index finger traveling down your cheek. It was like he knew right where touch.
Without missing a beat, his finger hooked under your chin. A thumb follows, brushing across the bottom of your lip, which causes it to crack open just slightly. He hears the quiet but shaky that flowed out. You close the crack of your mouth and you blink. His hand now cradled the side of your face. You place a hand over his, matching your fingers up with his. It was as if he was trying to figure you out with the way he was looking.
His hand traveled down to the side of your neck. You keep looking ahead at him as he now holds the nape of your neck. Before you know it, heâs on his back from sitting up and your head is close to his chest. He holds you close this way. You place a hand on his chest, lifting your head lightly to look at him and he had a look of contentment. Your hand slides up his chest, all the way up to his cheek.
He turns his head and you close your eyes as you felt his lips brush the front of your throat. Your head moves down slowly as your forehead and now against his. Both of your eyes are closed, both of his eyes are closed. Noses touched.
You then open your eyes and sit up slowly. His hand falls majestically from the nape of your neck, now around your waist and you are on your side. You watch as his face looks and faces up to the sky. He breathes in and his eyes fall to a close.
You both take your time walking. You both brush against one another with the steps that were being taken.
He pushed open the door to the home that contained his family. Your arm is stretched from him tugging on your hand, the same hand he made sure to keep a hold of.
Your fingers are holding the white sheet on paper. The crease lines were still evident but you continue to stare at the drawing.
âYou still have this.â you state as you continue to look at the photorealistic image in your hands.
âI keep it on me when youâre not around.â he states.
Youâre eyes look up and a lax smile stretched on your features, âLike you miss me that bad.â
As you stand in front of him, paper in your hands, heâs sitting on the couch thatâs in his room. His hands are on your leg as he looked up at you, âI even miss you when youâre asleep.â
His hand is smothered over your hand as it rests on the table. You ate the dinner that Esme learned to make. Her smile was big when you complimented it.
You sat against the headboard, knees up with your sketchbook resting in your lap. Your hand worked the page as you drew in colors. Putting your own twist to the field you saw today. The scenery being drawn gave you a sense of utopia.
You yawned as you felt your eyes droop. You turn off the lamp and drift off to sleep.
You felt something ticklish in your hand. You tossed and turned your head as you thought it was in your dream but your body gained consciousness. You blink open your eyes to see Edwardâs fingers lightly touch yours.
You turn over and groan a little, âMy mouth was open and everything.â
A light chuckle comes from him, âYouâre fine.â
You sit up straighter on the headboard and he has a seat on the edge of your bed. He picks up the book that was resting beside you. You rub your eyes as he takes a long look.
âIs this the place we went yesterday?â he softly asks.
You pull the book from his hands as you felt a touch of embarrassment, you stuffed the feeling down as he looked at the new spot your set it at.
âItâs really good. You made it better than it actually is.â he says to you.
âNo, that sight was amazing.â you disagree.
âThat picture was amazing.â he says and you give him an amused look. You get out of bed.
In the sunroom, you lounged as you were focused in your sketchbook. You had received an email and Larry wanted to see if you could make another piece for his gallery to start the new month coming up, off to a great start.
You sketched of ideas but nothing seemed to stick.
You grunt as your brain ran out of ideas. It started to travel elsewhere. Your hands were craving something but you didnât know what.
The others came back from hunting but Edward didnât. You tried your best to not ask where he was, you felt like it would give something away if you did. You just didnât know what.
That night, you helped Esme build minutare models of her interior designs that reflected her blueprint sketches.
You thought about making a minutare home like how you were helping Esme with but, you didnât know how to amplify it. You wanted to make something so good that it shocked you.
âHow was you and Edwardâs outing yesterday?â Esme softly asks as she paints a mini chair in her hands.
âIt was good, he showed me the most amazing field of nature where flowers bloomed. I drew what I saw. I have to show you.â you say.
âI would love to see it.â she comments as she sets the chair down to dry.
You silently paint a chair of your own until the question wouldnât stop eating at your brain, âWhere is he?â
âHe told us he was making a quick trip. He told me to tell you that he will be back before you know it.â
You nod as you set down the chair to dry.
It was still early when you were woken up out of your sleep. You decide to use the bathroom and brush your teeth. You lay back down. You donât want to head downstairs just yet.
You close your eyes. You hear the door creak open. You slowly open your eyes and see Edward smiling softly down at you. Heâs sitting close to where youâre laying.
You sit your body up and before you could hesitate, you wrap your arms around him in a hug. Heâs been gone for three days.
âAreâŠAre you alright?â you ask him as your chin rests on his shoulder.
His hand brushed your back, creating a chill down your spine.
âI am now.â he says.
You pull back and he watched you with a warm expression. His hand comes up to brush your cheek and your eyes immediately close with a flutter at the fact. You tried to calm your breathing from starting to shake.
You learned another song. This time you didnât care about the trial and error. Your fingers flexed in the keys as you tried to play the full variation that he taught you. Edward sat next to you, his arm wrapped around your lower back with his hand resting on the outer part of your thigh.
Rosalie walks past, âYouâre lucky Y/N. He acts funny when I ask to play his piano.â
âYou play?â you ask impressed.
âShe plays sometimes.â Edward brushed off.
âIâm the next musically inclined after you, Edward. Donât start.â she seethed. A smile cracks your lips.
Esme allowed you to work in an art studio that she had. In under the condition of, âPlease show me what you make.â
You forgot to close the door all of the way. As you paint the base colors on your canvas, you catch Edward walking in, in the corner of your eye.
You slow your movements, your mind focused on how you were being perceived.
His hands were in his pockets he watched you work without confidence.
âWhat about people watching you work make you nervous?â he asks.
You grip your wooden brush tighter in your hand as you blink at the material.
âI donât knowâŠIt just happens to be that I do best when Iâm alone.â
âWhen did you realize this?â
You turn your head at where heâs standing and grin, âI donât know. Are you trying to distract me or something?â
âNo. If I wanted to distract you, I wouldâve done it by now.â he says. You roll your eyes playfully.
You kept smudging the colors, having to continue to redo sections over. You shook your head as you mumbled out disapproval statements. What seemed stressful to you, seemed like inspiration to him.
He sat in the room as he felt like it was a sight too see.
âDo you want to take a break?â he asks as he watched you wipe your forehead with the back of the long sleeve shirt you wore.
You shrug and turn the canvas around and stomp out. He follows you out. You stomp up the stairs. You try to close the bedroom door without looking but he kept it from shutting as he followed you.
You flopped across the bed on your stomach. Your head rest on your folded arms.
âStop being so hard on yourself.â he speaks out.
âEdward, let me sulk.â
âSulking isnât going to make you finish.â he says with a hand resting on your back.
âItâs so bad, it would be a sin to approve of that.â you say in defeat.
âThe only sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for nothing.â
He watched you sit up and look square at him.
âI know where you got that from.â you say.
He brings on a grin.
âWho?â he quizzed.
âDostoyevsky. Now, this is a serious matter. I donât want to work on my birthday.â you groan and lay back on your stomach.
âPace yourself. Allow yourself to embrace your human flaws.â
âThatâs not helping.â you say muffled as your face was down with defeat. There was silence. But your mind wasnât.
He watched as you slowly rise and head back into the art studio as you left in. You cut up cardboard. You plug in a glue gun. You get to work.
Edward comes in right when you paint over the last bit of your newly designed piece. You feel him over your shoulder and is glad that the weight is off of yours.
âThat looks like us.â he says.
âThatâs because you want it to be.â you say to him but to be fair, you just did what you felt.
Esme stared at it in awe. The smile on her face looked proud in a way. It was so good, she gave you a hug.
You left the piece in there to dry and you tiredly rub your hands together underneath the running water. It was late into the night. You were able to head off upstairs for bed until you feel a hand tug your hand to guide you to the kitchen.
âIâm tired.â you softly whine.
âYou havenât eaten since early this morning.â he says. You ate fast so you can lay down.
However, your bedroom was feeling a bit hot due to the heat that blew from the vents.
âDoâŠ.â you shake your head and say, âGoodnight.â
Before you bury yourself fully under the covers, he steps away from the doorway.
âWhat were you going to say?â
âItâs a bitâŠHot.â you say. Edward then steps forward.
âYou need to cool down?â he asks carefully and you nod.
You didnât know what you were expecting but he lay close to you. A much needed chill ran through your body as you lie on your stomach and his hand is flat on your back.
You woke up to a whisper. You couldnât figure out what it said but your body shifts into consciousness. A hand runs down the back of your shoulder and you open your eyes.
âHappy birthday.â
âThanks.â you say with a tired grin.
You sit up and stretch. You get his attention.
âSee? Imagine if I didnât get done yesterday.â you point out.
He grins and nods in agreement.
Before you could process anything else, Alice bursts through your bedroom and you smile as she wrapped her arms around you. The hug was firmer than usual as she was excited.
âHappy birthday!â she squeals.
âThank you, thank you.â
She pulls your hands up and youâre up and out of bed.
âI have your birthday outfit. Iâm going to go get it. Edward out.â she shoos off.
âWait, Y/N. Just come with me I have to show you something.â he says.
âLet her get herself together first.â Alice says as her eyes roll.
You hold up a hand to Edward with a smile, âIt will be quick. Iâm just getting dressed.â
You stood in the mirror and you immediately got nervous. The outfit was good. Too good. It looked as if you could be in fashion week with the matching set. She tugged your hand to go downstairs but you resist.
She watched you as you sit down in a chair. You keep your legs together as you were wearing a skirt.
âYouâŠDonât like it?â she asks as you looked down. Your face didnât show enjoyment.
You look up at her and you reassured her crushed face, âAlice stop it, I love it. Itâs justâŠâ you stop and she sits on your bed as she peered ahead at you.
âWhat is it?â
âIâm nervous.â you reveal.
âDonât be. Youâre about to be surrounded by people who canât wait to celebrate your special day.â she says. You nod. A phone call makes your phone buzz beside you and you pick it up.
âHappy birthday, Y/N.â you hear and you smiled.
âThanks, Emily.â
âAny plans? What are you doing?â
âI donât know. Iâm going with the flow of today.â you say.
âWell, I wonât hold you but, I miss you so much! I know youâre out there doing great things and I just wanted to say how proud I am of you but I know that you will get through anything.â she says. You knew what she was implying, you tell her you miss her too. You really did. You followed Alice down the stairs, the small clack was heard from the footwear Alice brought to go along perfect with what you had on.
Edward was waiting for you at the bottom of the stairs.
âOkay. Iâm all yours.â you say. Without missing a beat, Edward says, âLook outside.â
You open the grand front door and outside sits a luxurious car with a present bow sitting prettily on top.
You turn and sees Edwardâs smile directed towards you.
âHappy birthday.â he says again. You gasp and bend your knees slightly in disbelief, âEdward.â you say. He chuckles at your reaction.
âEdward, are youâŠ.Fucking kidding me?â you say with shock and he pulls out the keys, dangling them and you were in total disbelief as your hand closed around them.
You grab the keys and his hands, âEdward. This isnât real.â you say. You donât know if youâre trying to convince him or yourself. Alice had a camera at hand, smiling at the moment.
He peers down at you as he takes your hand and opens the driver door with his other hand.
You were overwhelmed. He watched from the passenger seat as you touched the steering wheel with such care. It was almost as if you were afraid to touch it.
He starts the car for you and the engine purred to life. It rode really smooth as you test drove it. You couldnât stop smiling.
He soaked in the hug that you gave him as you kept telling him thank you. His arms were snug around your waist.
You received hugs and received âHappy birthdayâs from the rest of the family.
Esme made you breakfast and held out your plate.
You slowly chewed and looked at Edward who smothered your hand that was on the table you say at.
âI canât eat. Iâm too excited.â
A crooked smile hit your way, âNo, no. Eat.â
Your head was on his shoulder as you sat next to him on the piano bench. He played a happy birthday song with his fingers. It was just the two of you.
He held your hand as you both took slow steps in the museum you both were in. By the time you two were in an art gallery, his arm was snug around your shoulders.
He held you close as you entered the home and the Cullen family screamed, âHappy birthday.â
You let out a thank you as the room was filled with balloons and on the wall was balloons that spelled out, âHappy Birthday.â
Alice shoved her present in your hands.
âSheesh, already?â you ask.
âYes! Now open it!â she says. You rip it open and it was a black box. You crack it open and it was a Van Cleef bracelet.
âOh my god.â you say in shock. You dangle it with your fingers as you take a look at it.
âDo you like it?â she asks.
âYes.â you breathed out, âAlice, I canât accept this-â
âItâs my gift to you! Happy birthday.â she says with a bright smile. You give her a hug and as Rose steps forward, Edward clasped the bracelet around your wrist.
âHereâs mine.â she says and you take it.
âIâm scared. We already started off strong.â you say and soft chuckles fill the room.
You crack open Roseâs gift and it was a necklace from the same brand.
âI got you the necklace to match with the bracelet.â she says. You thank her immensely and give her a hug. She carefully placed the necklace around your neck.
Emmett excitedly gives you your gift. You tear it open and you start laughing. A handheld game box was now in your hands.
âThank you.â you say and give him a hug and he says, âI already added myself as a friend.â
âOf course you did.â you say with a smile.
Jasper hands you your gift and it was games to go with the game. You hug him.
Esme and Carlisle hand you a gift with smiles on their faces.
Tearing it open, you gasp and you almost started to tear up.
âYou guys canât be serious.â you say and theyâre smiling.
âWe feel like you should have something from one of the greats.â Carlisle says.
âOne day, you will be up there with one of the greats.â Esme says and you shake your head.
âNo.â you say and they disagree.
You have Edward hold the painting, you hug them both.
âThank you so much.â
Rose, Alice, and Esme disappeared in the kitchen. Emmett didnât waste any time to tell you to get on your new gadget.
Edward haves a seat in a chair. You feel him touch your hand. You look up to him and he tugs your hand to pull you to where he was sitting.
You slowly sit down and your shoulder leans against his chest as you and Emmett play together on your handheld game. His hand rests on your knee. You laughed at Emmettâs competitive nature.
Alice bounced out, her camera was in hand. You set the game to the side as Rose and Esme brought out homemade ice cream and cake.
âSmile!â Alice says with a smile. You give a polite smile and Edward wraps his arms tight around your waist and he slumps you to him. You both face the camera. The camera flashes and you rise up meet them as they walk to you with a lit up cake.
Happy birthday was being sung and Alice snapped pictures while singing in high octave that was above everyone else.
You close your eyes with a smile and then blew out the candles.
As you cut your own slice of cake, Edward taps you. You turn around a very large bouquet of flowers that bloomed strong.
Your hands go to your mouth as you gasp. He places them in your arms with a content smile. You set them down on a table and your arms wrap around him. He sways you side to side for a bit.
You both sit across from each other as he held the spoon out. He fed you the homemade ice cream.
âIt was really great. Thank you.â you tell Rosalie and Esme and they both are pleased that you liked it.
Edward holds out a wrapped gift and you look at him. You both were sitting on the couch in his bedroom.
âYou already got me something.â you say.
âI know but, you will like this.â he says with a hand on your back.
You pulled out a cd player that operated on both being bluetooth and wired. He watched as your smile grew.
âThereâs already a cd in there.â he says.
You go to pop it open but he places a hand on your hand to halt you. You look at him.
âJust play it.â he says. You nod and you say, âBe right back.â
You grab your headphones and sit down back next to him. After connecting your headphones, you extend a headphone for him to stick on his own ear. He gladly sticks it in his ear and you click the play button.
You softly chuckle as the song was familiar. You were in shock.
You take the headphone out as the song ended. You look at him.
âHow did you do this?â you ask.
He brings on a soft grin, âI pulled some strings.â
You pop open the cd player and lift up the cd, reading it out loud.
âY/N and Edward piano duet.â
He sticks his hand in his pocket and pulls out a folded piece of paper, handing it to you.
âNow, what is this?â you ask him.
âSomething I made.â he says softly.
âBefore I read this, answer me something?â you ask him.
âAnything.â
âWhatâs your motive?â you ask as you look down.
âMy motive is to always be around you. To get to know all of you.â
You breathe in as you unfold the paper and read the note in your mind.
Can feelings shared , be set to unfold?
Offering my heart for you to hold.
The sweetest music I have found
The ring of your laughter, such a joyous sound.
Wanting to learn your thoughts, dreams and fears
And to whisper secrets in your ears.
Breathing life into me with such ease
Drawing me to you compellingly.
Here I stand with a hopeful plea
To conquer this world, just you and me.
Your eyes travel to the bottom of the page, it showcased a drawing that he did by hand, it was with pen. Permanent.
Two figures were together, holding each other close, depicting such devotion.
You slowly look from the page, your heart rate was higher than normal. He was waiting for your reaction and you swallowed and refolded the paper.
âBut, Iâm a human.â you say sadly. You felt it couldnât work.
âIt doesnât matter to me.â
When you donât say anything a hand holds yours as he continues, âYou showed me thereâs more to my soulless life. Youâre my angel.â
You were overwhelmed with emotion.
You tried to cloud your brain with activities to make yourself not think about what happened. You didnât have a definite answer.
So you joined Alice as she danced. You wouldâve thought it was her birthday as she had so much fun. Jasper couldnât help but join his wife with a smile.
You blinked awake as you tossed and turned that night.
Edward was gone in the morning. You wondered if it was because of the day prior.
He came back right when it was time to leave, you had to drop your piece off to Larry.
âYou can driveâŠIf you want.â you say as Edward put your bags in the trunk. To be fair you didnât trust yourself to be on the road.
He drove as you looked out of the window. You glanced at him as he was in his own head.
âSay something, please.â you say softly. The silence weighed heavy in the atmosphere.
He stared ahead and he seemed conflicted.
âI said everything I needed to say.â he says quietly.
You look down.
Larry chuckles richly as you unveiled the piece. Larry greedily looked as he walked around it. He claps his hands together before turning to you with a big smile.
He then gives you a present.
You look down in surprise.
âOpen it up.â he says with a grin.
You rip it open and pull out a subtle but diamond studded watch. It dazzled brightly and you look at him.
âHappy belated birthday.â he says and you give him a big hug.
You come out, Edward hold the door open for you. You slide in the car and he catches the flashy watch.
âLarry gave that to you?â he asks. You nod.
âDid he not like it? You look a little down.â he says.
âHe loved it actually.â you say softly chuckling. He hums a response. Itâs silent again. When he slows to a stop in front of your apartment building, you turn to him.
âYou canâŠ.Come up if you want.â you sheepishly say.
He thinks for a moment, before saying, âI didnât eat today. Iâm going to hunt.â
You nod.
âIâll bring your stuff up.â he tells you and gets out.
Before he leaves out of the door, you hug him. Your head was in the middle of his chest. He looks down as he holds you back.
âAre you sure it doesnât matter?â you choke out.
He takes a hold on your shoulders and looks you in the eye, âIt doesnât matter. I only want you.â
Your body feels hot at his words.
âWillâŠWill you come back?â you ask.
âIf you want me toâŠ.Do you want me to?â he asks.
âYes.â you say.
He leans forward slowly, you feel his cool lips touch your forehead. You close your eyes as he lingers on your forehead.
You hung your painting up in your living room, you step back and fix the crookedness of it.
The flowers sprouted out of the clear vase that Alice had set on the table.
You sat by the window in your bedroom as you sketched idly. You paused as you couldnât help but flip back to the page of when you two were in Ithaca, the big field.
You stare at it. The buzz of your doorbell jumps you out of your thoughts. You rise up and walk slowly towards the door and unlock it.
You lie on your back, your head is turned in his direction. He watches you as he lies next to you.
His hand cradles your cheek and you both blink at each other. You slide your hand up to his, to hold onto your cheek. It was as if marble was touching you, but the hand cooled down your burning cheek.
Faces were close together as you both flutter your eyes to a close. Softly his lips brushed yours in a gentle way.
He pulled away but you chased for more. You both meet each other again, you hold him close so he doesnât pull back fast.
His eyes squeezed shut as your fingers made him feel something that felt foreign to him. It was a rush. He knew that if he was human, his body would be filled with butterflies.
Next to you on your nightstand, a printed out picture of you and Edward from your birthday was faced up.
You both silently look at each other as you both lie close. You didnât want to feel nothing else but the feeling that you were feeling right now. A wave of serenity. With that, the sappy smile was on his face was contagious, as you matched it.
It took some getting used to, but you found out that Edward was scared to open mouth kiss.
He didnât know what would happen if you were to accidentally swallow his saliva, his venom. Alternatives had to be made. He didnât mind the fact that you liked to kiss him on his face, not always on his lips.
Your contract ended, you sat in Larryâs office as he looked right at you. Edward sat next to you in a pair of sunglasses.
âSo whenâs the wedding?â Larry asks. The ring sat strong on your finger. It was Edwardâs motherâs. You wore it with pride.
You look to Edward and he replies, âNext month.â
Larry looked at the two of you.
âSo, what are you going to do Y/N? Are you extending it with me?â
You suck in a breath as you shake your head.
âWeâre- Iâm going to relocate.â you tell him.
âOkay, where? I even have a gallery in London. We made great business together.â
You nod, âYes, I know. But, I need to branch out more. I donât want to be stagnant.â
âYou werenât stagnant with me.â he pleads.
âIt was nice doing business with you, but I got a better opportunity in France.â you say.
âWhoâs representing you?â he presses.
âNobody. Iâm going independent.â you say. He accepts this but, he was sad to see you go.
You hold Edwardâs hand as Alice shows you everyone she invited.
âDonât you think we should elope instead?â you ask.
âNo, silly! This is a celebration! Everyone has to come.â she says.
Edward turns to you, âIf you want to elope we can.â
Aliceâs face falls and you quickly say, âItâs alright. We can elope first and then have the wedding to the public.â
She brightens up and claps with excitement.
The climate was warm. Edwardâs eyes came alive as you stood in front of him. The ceremony was small and in an intimate setting.
Carlisle married you both on your elopement. Edward carefully kissed you as he cupped your cheek and his family were the only ones who were in attendance. You didnât mind since you weren't nervous around them.
The island that Esme gifted you both was where you both sat and looked at each other with anticipation.
He was the one who wanted to wait.
âThe first time I want to make love, it will be with my wife.â he told you one night as you tried to feel him up. You understood.
Now, it was you who was nervous. He was the one who had to reassure you. You didnât expect his cool skin to feel good against yours, but to be fair, the air in the bedroom had raised in temperature.
You suck in a breath as your legs were over his shoulders, he kept whispering how beautiful you were.
Your fingers twist in the sheets at the sensation. As he kept pumping, your body got used to it. Gasps of pleasure breathed out of your mouth. He was firm and it hit the right spots that has you trembling with ease. You then knew that he was perfect all the way around.
He didnât last long but you didnât care, he was a virgin after all.
He couldnât get enough. The next morning, he held you close he rocked into you. The bed under you both gave out, you panicked only for a second but, he gave you a kiss as he told you, âDonât worry about it.â
Kim whispered as Jared listened closely. He was sad.
Paul walked in. He changed, his presence was on edge, if people feared him then, they definitely feared him now.
âWhatâs going on?â he asks as they both went quiet as soon as he entered.
Kim worriedly looked at Jared.
âIâll tell him.â he tells her. She nods and leaves out of the kitchen of the home her and Jared had gotten together.
âYou might want to sit down for this.â Jared tells his friend.
âWho died?â he asks.
âNobody⊠Kim ran into Y/Nâs parents.â Jared says and Paul responds to your name. He still felt the feelings, your name still affected him. He felt one day you were going to change your mind.
âShe okay?â
âI donât know. Sheâs getting married and they asked her if she was going to the ceremony.â
Paul snorts, âWhoâs the square?â
Jared watched as Paul contorts into a fit of rage, even that heâs never seen before. A mixture of hurt and betrayal was deep in his features.
When Sam went to look for him, the thoughts in his wolf mind was dark. He knew then that he went rogue. Paul had successfully detached himself from the pack.

Tour- Wes Borland/ Limp Bizkit
-
-
-
summary: y/n and her band is invited to tour with limp bizkit and korn on their 1998 family values tour. but a certain someone is clashing teeth with the all girl metal band.
lowercase intended & not proof read
warnings: none (i think)
a/n: this was request by @mizfitneeds sorry for taking so long to get this request out but i loved writing it! i also donât know why i wrote fred to be such a huge misogynistic guy đ also y/b/n means your band name :)

-
âgreat going, y/n, being late to meet the bands weâre opening for is a great first impression!â my drummer, lara, says to me as we all pile out the van.
âitâs not my fault i couldnât find my shoes! i had them next to my door before i slept!â i argue back.
âmaybe you should wake up earlier than 30 minutes before leaving, just a suggestion.â my lead guitarist, veronica, spits back.
âweâre only 5 minutes late, get off my dick.â i mumble.
âyeah, tell that to them.â my bassist, chloe, laughs at my words.
we sped walk inside the recording label building, running to catch the elevator. we stood inside in silence, the angry tension thick. we reach our floor and my eyes immediately land on jonathan davis, the lead vocalist of korn.
âlook at them, just waiting there for our asses.â veronica complains.
i notice munky look our way, alerting everyone about our presence. we open the glass door, an eruption of âheyâs filling up the room.
âhey so sorry weâre late, y/n couldnât find her stupid shoes.â lara laughs.
âclassic y/n.â headâs laugh fills my eardrums.
âhead! come here man!â i open my arms for a hug.
iâve known brian, or head as he goes by, since we were in elementary. unfortunately i had to move states so i lost contact with him until 1995 (last year) when he found my number and reached out to me. i gave him a tight bear hug which he returned as well.
âitâs so good to see you guys again. you all packed and ready for tour?â fieldy asks.
âoh yeah, iâve been packed for days.â lara says proudly.
âshe has a checklist and everything to make sure she brings everything.â chloe says, playfully shoving lara.
âare you sure theyâre good enough to tour with us?â i heard fred ask jonathan.
âyeah man, they fuckinâ rock.â
âi dunno, theyâre girls, can girls really rock?â
i scoff at his words but decide to mind my business and stay out their conversation.
âhey baby.â my boyfriend, wes, says approaching me.
he leaned in for a kiss which i gladly accepted. he then brought me into a side hug and rested his hand on my hip.
âokay so, tomorrow is the official day we leave for tour. weâre meeting up at the airport and weâre taking a private jet to the first city.â jonathan explains.
âprivate jet courtesy of me.â fred pretends to tip the brim of his hat.
i give a fake smile and fake laugh a bit, not really caring for his humor right now.
âdo we drive ourselves or is there someone picking us up.â victoria asks.
âgood question. i think you guys should have someone take you. personally, i hate leaving my car at the airport.â jonathan replies.
âgreat! what time are we leaving again?â lara questions.
â9:30am.â fred responds.
âgod damn.â i mutter.
iâm an night owl so waking up early is the worst for me.
âwhat you canât handle it, princess? is the tour life not for you?â fred says as he fake pouts.
i roll my eyes and felt wesâ hand grip my hip at his words.
âokay then, i believe thatâs all. unless anyone else has anything to say.â jonathan clears his throat, trying to change the tone of the room.
âi do! why not have actual musicians open for us? i mean come on, no one is gonna wanna pay to see some GIRLS play music.â he scoffs.
i stood there fuming, already planning the way iâm gonna beat his ass in my head.
âseriously fred? whatâs up with you?â wes asks, shaking his head in disbelief at his best friend.
âam i the only one here who has a problem here?!â
âyes.â literally everyone says in unison.
âif you have a fucking problem that fucking do something about it.â i raise my voice, leaving wesâ side to stand in front of fred.
âiâm sorry guys i-â
âno, itâs okay. i understand some guys are too insecure about women being actually good at things.â i bit back, cutting off head.
âme? insecure? iâm fuckin fred durst man. the only thing youâre fuckin is head and the rest of korn, thatâs the only reason you and your girlband is touring with us anyways.â
it was dead silent after his words. i stood there glaring at him, too mad to even come up with anything.
âwhat the fuck, fred?!â wes exclaims.
ây/nâŠâ chloe softly spoke.
i turned around and immediately walked out of the room, ignoring my friendsâ pleading calls for me. i mutter shit to myself as i make it back to our car.
ây/n!â i hear head call out from behind me.
i slow down my speed but i donât stop completely.
âiâm sorry for him. i-i donât know why heâs being a dick.â
âitâs whatever. iâve dealt with worse guys. i-i just donât know why heâs acting like this?â i scoff.
âi donât know either. but just ignore him.â head pleads, trying to stop me from getting in the car.
âkinda hard to when iâm gonna be touring with him.â i open the driverâs door and stuff myself inside.
head sighs as he watches me turn on the car, the music from before blasting out loud. he knew i wouldnât come back out so he smacks his lips and walks back inside. i angrily hum along to the music as i wait for my friends.
~headâs pov~
i think of the words iâm gonna tell fred as i walk back up to the elevator. just as i was going to press the button, the rest of the band comes out.
âwhereâs y/n? is she okay?â lara asks, obviously worried for her.
âyeah sheâs okay. understandably pissed off.â
âcanât blame her..â veronica mumbles.
âsheâs in the car waiting for you guys.â
âokay, thank you. weâll see you guys tomorrow, okay?â chloe says.
âyeah, see you tomorrow.â i nod at them.
lara lets go of the elevator door that she was holding onto the whole time after i step in. i replay fredâs words in my mind as i start to get slightly angry. y/n has been a long time friend and her gender doesnât mean anything. once the doors open, i see that everyone was inside the room still but i notice jonathan yelling at fred. i prepare myself for the drama iâm forcing myself into.
âi donât understand why though?!â jonathan yelled as soon as i walked inside.
âcan i not have my own opinion?! jesus man.â fred tries to play victim.
ânot really dude, theyâre being so nice to you and youâre acting like a dick.â munky bites back.
ây/n is one hell of a rocker, you just gotta give her a chance.â wes defends.
âyou only say that because sheâs your girlfriend, borland! you have to pretend sheâs good!â he laughs his obnoxious laugh.
âher being my girlfriend doesnât mean shit! either way i believe theyâre great musicians no matter their genders! and you fucking take back what you said about her sleeping with korn.â he was clearly pissed.
wes walked up into fredâs face and i could sense a fight brewing.
âyou know what, this meeting is over. everyone go home and weâll see each other tomorrow.â jonathan quickly ends the conversation before anymore arguing can start.
everyone quickly stood up and left as fred mumbled to himself.
âhey head, is y/n okay? i-iâm sorry i didnât go after her, iâm just so fucking pissed at fred.â wes sighs.
âsheâs just her, you know. she went back home with the girls.â
âokay okay, thatâs good. iâll call her when i get home. thanks man, iâll see you tomorrow.â he pats my shoulder and walks away.
âokay. great. iâll see you tomorrow.â
~time skip & back to y/nâs pov~
my alarm clock goes off, waking me from my wonderful dream. i was dreaming of wes, dreaming of things i canât say out loud. i groan out loud as i sit up and lazily rub my eyes. i turn off the alarm and throw my blanket off. i thank myself as i look at all my packed luggages i had prepared. i hear honking from outside which made me furrow my eyebrows. i walk to my window and open the curtains to see my friends standing out their car. i fully open the window and get that chilly september air.
âwhat are you guys doing here?!â i shout out from my window.
âhere to pick you up! hurry up!â lara shouts back.
âi barely just woke up! i thought i said to meet me here at 7:30?â
âsee! i told you she said 7:30!â chloe argues with lara.
âiâll be down soon!â i shout at them before coming back inside and locking my window shut.
i rush to get dressed and finish packing what i need, which wasnât much since i was smart and packed beforehand. i grabbed the last items i needed and stuffed them into my carry-on bag before shoving everything out the door. i slightly struggle to take everything down to them but i manage.
âfinally.â veronica jokes.
âi wouldâve been faster if i had some help.â
âooo, snarky today arenât we?â lara laughs.
i glance inside the car and notice laraâs boyfriend mark was driving.
âoh hey mark, howâs it going?â
âitâs going. what about you, y/n?â he pops open the trunk and gets out the car to help me.
âkinda dreading this tour.â i chuckle.
âreally? i thought youâd be fucking excited.â he shoved my stuff into the back of the van.
âturns out fred durst is an asshole.â
âoh, yeah i forgot about that. lara told me what happened. if you want iâll beat his ass.â he laughs.
i laugh too knowing heâs obviously joking around. we finish putting my luggage away and all pile into the car, ready for our trip to the airport. we all blasted music and sang along, not having a care in the world. after a while of driving, we make it to the drop off.
âdo you guys got it?â mark asks.
âwe got it, babe. thank you for driving us.â lara smiles, leaning in to give him a kiss.
they begin to make out for a minute and we all just chuckle to ourselves knowing how lara is gonna complain about how she misses him in like a day.
âokay lovebirds, we gotta get going.â veronica butts in.
âiâll miss you.â lara says as she pouts.
âiâll miss you too. call me whenever you can, okay?â
âi will. i promise.â
they share one last kiss and say bye before we start heading inside. we do all the normal airport check ins and start to our way to the meetup area. i let out a breath of relief when i see everyone there except fred.
âyou guys made it!â munky said, greeting us all with a hug.
âdonât worry, fred left to go get food for a bit.â he whispered in my ear once it was my turn for a hug.
âthank you.â i say genuinely.
âhey babe, howâd you sleep?â wes asks, getting up from his seat to approach me.
we share a quick kiss and a hug.
âwouldâve been great if i didnât wake up to annoying honking.â i grumble.
âyou wanna sit with me?â
âduh.â i smile.
i go over and sit next to him, his black hair wet from his morning shower. his scent infiltrated my nose and i honestly felt my heart skip a beat.
âyou ready for tour?â he asks, snapping me out my thoughts.
âhell yeah, iâm just a bit nervous though.â
âdonât be. i know at first youâre a nervous wreck but after the first couple shows itâll be so normal.â
i think of his words and i take them into account. he is right and i know it.
âhopefully..â
âhey so-â
âyo jonathan i got your burger!â i suddenly hear fredâs voice.
i whip my head around and stare at the annoying man walking across the airport.
wes notices me looking distressed and instantly puts his hand on my shoulder.
âjust ignore what he says.â
âwhat is she doing sitting in my seat?â
âi asked her to sit with me.â wes says, his voice low as he defends me.
âjust because sheâs your girlfriend doesnât mean-â
âshut up fred! i donât understand whatâs your deal with them?!â wes is now face to face with fred.
âget away from my face dude.â he shoves wes back.
âdonât touch me.â
suddenly wes shoved him back and they started to fight. everyone started shouting for them to stop so they wouldnât get kicked out.
âchill out you guys!â fieldy shouted, trying to pry them apart.
i looked around and started to see people stare at us. i looked back at the two guys fighting and decided to step in.
âfucking stop it fred!â
i decided to be stupid and try to grab their arms. that was a mistake cause fred completely went and elbowed me in the face. i yelp out when i feel myself bite my tongue harshly.
ây/n!â head exclaimed.
everyone rushed to my side as i hid my face into my hands.
âare you okay?â lara asked, rubbing her hand along my back.
i look up at everyone, feeling blood slightly trickle down the corner of my lips.
âiâm fine.â i say in a monotone voice before getting up and heading towards a bathroom.
i was fuming and was rethinking this whole tour.
âheyâŠyou sure youâre okay?â chloe asks, scaring me.
âyeah. iâm fine.â i spit out the blood.
âwes is absolutely fuming. i think heâs outside waiting for you.â
âjust tell him iâll be out in a second.â
âyeah okay.â she leaves me alone.
i finish cleaning myself up and walk back out. i immediately bump into wes who was waiting outside for me.
âwoah, hey, you okay? i swear iâm going to fucking kill him.â he says through his gritted teeth.
âyeah no iâm good now. i didnât know what i was thinking honestly.â i chuckle.
âare you hungry or anything?â
âa little. i was rushed by some certain people..â i look over and glare at chloe.
âsorry. now you two go have fun on your little date.â she shrugs us off.
i flip her off and walk off with wes. after getting food with wes and chatting about random stuff, it was finally time for us to board the plane. i didnât sit with wes this time but with my band mates. lara has a fear of heights so being in a plane scared her a lot. flying over new york was the most beautiful sight ever, the shining lights and the tall buildings. we landed easily and we stepped off the plane and into the chill new york air. the wind hit my face and i closed my eyes at the feeling.
âi knew youâd love the breeze.â head said from next to me.
âof course you would.â
the ride to the hotel was a big long, new york traffic not helping. my mates and i shared one hotel room, something he suggested. i set all my luggage down in the corner of the room and flipped onto the bed, knocking out immediately.
~time skip to the soundcheck~
i strutted into the arena with nothing but sweats and a t-shirt. i was exhausted from the flight and slept nearly the whole day, not getting a chance to explore.
âgood afternoon sleepyhead, how was your long nap?â
âthe best. you know i love my naps.â i groan out, wishing i was in bed right now.
âhey is..is fred here? i just need to know if i need to prepare myself.â
âno, they left after their soundcheck.â
i let out a breath of relief and let my shoulder loosen.
âwell then letâs have a banger soundcheck!â
and we exactly did. usually for soundchecks i donât go crazy but for some reason i was going all out like it was the main show. afterwards i was so sweaty and out of breath but i enjoyed it.
âthat was so rockin!â fieldy said, patting my back.
âthanks man!â i wiped some sweat off my forehead.
âyou guys rocking it like always!â wes comes out of nowhere, smiling brightly at me.
âwhy thank you kind sir.â
âhereâs a cloth to clean yourself up.â he randomly pulls out a washcloth.
i chuckle to myself a bit and accept it, wiping off the sweat on my skin.
âthanks.â i shove the cloth in my pocket.
âyeah no problem.â
we stood there in silence, very awkward silence.
âhey so-â
âcome on y/n!â chloe interrupts wes.
i turn my head to signal them to give me a moment. i look back to wes whoâs looking towards them awkwardly.
âiâm sorry, keep going.â
âoh no itâs okay. iâll just talk to you after the show.â he gives me a warm smile and a quick peck before walking away.
i watched as he left, wondering what he wanted to say. i shrugged it off and walked back to my mates.
~time skip to the show~
i took a fat swig of my beer, hoping itâll call my nerves.
âyou doing okay?â head asked, scaring me from his sudden appearance.
âiâm honestly nervous, brian..â
âhey, itâll be okay.â he comes and gives me a hug.
i melt into his warmth, immediately reminiscing of our past friendship.
âiâm so glad iâm here.â
âiâm glad youâre here too. iâve missed you.â
i would remember when we would stay out late after school, playing hide and seek or tag. my mom would always buy us popsicles and make us sandwiches. he was my best friend honestly and it makes me glad to reconnect.
âjust remember what your mom would say, âthinking about it too much wonât prevent failure, just believe in yourself and youâll do good.â okay?â he says into my ear.
âokay.â i pull away and give him a genuine thank you smile.
âhey y/n, youâre gonna kill it out there!â i hear wes scream from behind us.
i look at him and give him a thumbs ups, laughing at bit at fredâs dumbass self standing there with arms crossed.
ây/b/n you guys are on!â we hear someone yell.
the girls and i huddle up and do our pre-show banter before running onto stage. a large crowd cheered for us as we set up. i fixed my guitar strap and took a deep breath in.
âwe got this.â i say quietly before our drummer started our first song.
everything went by so quick that it felt like it was over by the blink of an eye. i stepped away from the mic and caught my breath, listening to the crowd holler at us.
âthank you all so much! stay cool and rock on with limp bizkit and korn!â i say into the mic.
the crowd gets louder at my words. i smile brightly and walk off stage, handing my guitar to my guitar tech.
âyou absolutely fucking killed it!â head charged at me and brought me into a tight hug.
i hugged him tightly, getting my sweat all over him.
âi have to call mark!â lara exclaimed before running off to find a phone.
âholy shit.â i suddenly hear fred shout.
head lets me down and i turn to look at him, ready to fight him.
âwhat now fred? i donât want to hear what you have to say because i swear i will beat your ass with the adrenaline i still have.â i say sternly.
âiâm sorry. i-i donât know why i was being such a misogynistic asshole, you guys seem cool. and you guys actually killed it out there. iâve never seen anything like it before, and i dig it.â he puts out his hand for me to shake it.
i eye it before hesitantly shaking it.
âthis is exactly what we need. you two the get along.â jonathan says, patting fred on the back.
âhereâs a beer, you deserve it.â fieldy says, giving me a cold bottle.
âthanks man.â i crack it open and sip it.
âi see your boy toy coming for you.â head laughs, elbowing me.
i see wes coming towards me and i instantly get excited.
âyou did amazing out there! seriously.â he brings me into a tight hug.
âthanks baby.â i pull away to press a long kiss to his lips.
âso..what i was going to ask youâŠw-would you like to hang out tomorrow? you know explore the place?â
âare you asking me on a date, borland?â
âbasically yeah.â
âiâd love to go on a date with you.â
âooo the two lovebirds are going out!â chloe teases.
i roll my eyes at her playful banter and laugh when i see wesâ cheeks burn light pink. little did i know wes had a ring tucked away in his luggage, ready to give to me tomorrow.

a/n: blame it on the haikyuu oneshot that gave me a major kuroo brainrot and so i decided to write this earlier than expected. i hope i do justice to writing this story âcause iâve not written smut in ages and iâm feeling nervous lol. likes, comments, and especially reblogs are appreciated.
You began checking the email addresses of fellow students who had been accepted along with you as soon as you received the email informing you that you had been accepted to the Nekoma Student Association, and one ID stood out to you: [email protected]. While that intrigued you, you respond that you accept the position and look forward to attending the meeting.
When you walked into the meeting hall the next weekend, your gaze was drawn to a six-foot-tall, jet-black-haired man dressed in a tan-leather jacket over a black shirt, blue jeans, and white converse shoes. As you approached the group that was conversing amongst themselves, his hazel eyes darted to your (e/c) irises, causing him to smile warmly. âHi, I am (F/N) (L/N), are you all a part of the new team?â you said confidently as you greeted everyone. Everyone nodded, and the guy who first noticed you shook your hand and said, âHi, (L/N)-chan, I'm Tetsuro Kuroo,â he said, smiling, âI can't wait to get to work with you!â
Following the orientation session, the President directed you to interact and bond with the new team members. As you began to learn more about your fellow members, you noticed Kuroo's gaze on you from the corner of your eye for the longest time. As you all decided to go out to eat, your peripheral vision lingered on Kuroo as you all laughed at his jokes. When everyone had parted ways, you felt a tap on your shoulder, which prompted you to turn to Kuroo, who then inquired, âShouldn't we? This is where my house is,â pointing in the general direction of your house.Â
âWait, do you live here as well?â you asked, your mouth agape. He chuckled when he found out you two were neighbours. You sauntered beside him, shrugging your shoulders and conversing about various topics. You then discovered that he loved volleyball and had represented his high school as Captain at Nationals. âYou are, indeed, interesting, Captain,â you wink as you two walk to your houses. He smirks a little, replying, âI like it when you call me that,â approaching you to sultrily whisper in your ear, âdo it again,â winking as he went towards his house, your cheeks reddening and your thighs clenching.
Time passes, and you spend more time with Kuroo, bonding with him as you prepare for your first events as a member of the organising committee, all of which were successful. You found solace in studying together without saying anything, just sensing each other's presence. There wasn't a night that went by without your long walks and late-night talks that always included some beer cans, despite the fact that beer wasn't your favourite drink and you wanted to change the taste with the taste of his lips. You gulped in some air, shaking your head in denial, oblivious to Kuroo's gaze on your lips and his mental desire to slowly unravel you.
The chilly winds were beginning to blow one day, and you receive a text from Kuroo in which he announces that he has a part-time job for the first time, and as a celebration, he proposes to finish a Cabernet Sauvignon bottle that he recently purchased. You accept his offer, chuckling to yourself, and rush to the kitchen to grill some chicken. You've just finished cooking when you hear a knock on the door. You smile as you rush to the door and see Kuroo standing in front of you with the wine bottle. He beams at you, showing you what he bought along with the wine: your favourite box of chocolates.
If anyone was to come and see you two, they'd think that you and Kuroo have been friends for years. There was a sense of comfort that took over the feeling of nervousness, as you two spoke about anything and everything. What you two were choosing to ignore, however, was the number of stolen glances and accidental touches towards each other. This is when Kuroo asked, âSo (L/N)-chan, what was dating like for you? How many people did you date and sleep with?â This causes you to cough in major nervousness.Â
Taking a deep breath, âKuroo-kun, you know you can call me (Y/N) right?â Chuckling, he replied, shrugging, âI know, and you can call me Tetsuro, you know that right?â You smile, take a deep breath, and muster the courage to let him know, âI've dated men, yes, and I just got out of a 2-year relationship months ago, but I've never slept with anyone, just made out.â Looking down at the ground, you confessed, âI was always scared that my first time wouldn't be special. Also, lately, I've been having thoughts, musings if you will, about a certain someone that makes me go insane.â
After humming and looking down, Tetsuro looked into your eyes, realization hitting him, âOya?â while raising an eyebrow. He smiles and continues, âIt's the same for me, y'know? My ex called it off with me recently, because I didn't want to go all the way. So I'm hoping our first time will be special,â he said, biting his tongue when he realized his mistake. A wicked smile crept across your face as you said, âYou mean your first time.â You grin and draw in closer, whispering to him, âMaybe it's the wine, but I miss being kissed and held, and perhaps I want to get over with it.â He draws closer and admits he feels the same way.  Â
There was so much tension that a knife could cut right through it. Even as your thighs clench and you take ragged breaths, you both maintain eye contact. As you draw closer, your lips brush against his. Just as you're about to kiss for the first time, one of your phones rings, and you jump in fright. On Tetsuro's phone, the text read âTaketora Yamamoto.â You'd learned that Yamamoto was an old school friend of Tetsuro's that he played volleyball with. He was reminding Tetsuro of a university-related event that all of you were supposed to attend at night.Â
After you both realized you were tipsy, you decided to go for a walk to shake it off. Several minutes later, when the event ended, you all decided to walk home, but you felt dizzy. So, instead of hailing a taxi, you yelled at a white pickup truck that was approaching and yelled âHowdy!â The two boys were shocked and delighted and jumped in the back of the pickup truck as it took you back home. Yamamoto walks off and you two stare at each other, but then you both turn around and go back to your apartments. Â
Upon reaching home, you get a text from him, saying, âOi, just to let you know, I wanted to kiss you, I wanted to stay. I wanted to sleep while hugging you.â You started twiddling your thumbs when he calls, causing you to confess that you needed it just as much as he, and that you were standing outside your apartment, waiting for him. The moon and stars were the only witnesses to your wanton need for him. The rustling of the leaves, along with your languid breaths and pacing heartbeats, were the only sounds you could hear on this calm November night.Â
Not for long though, because suddenly, you heard the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs to your apartment. You turned to your left to see that he was wearing a navy-blue t-shirt and black sweatpants with flip-flops. All inhibition seemed to slowly fade away and turn into a desire to feel every inch of him, caressing his cheeks, kissing his lips, wondering what it would feel like when he was totally in sync with you.
You didn't have to wait for long as he approached you, his lips landing on yours, while you two cupped each other's cheeks, and ranked nails through each other's hair. To you, his lips felt cold, touch-starved, but tasted sweet and intoxicating, just like the wine you two had. To him, your lips were warm, like a calming beach, where you'd be sipping on sangria. Lost in each other, you walk backward and he forward as you lock the main door, ignoring anyone else's presence. Both of you then dash toward the bedroom, locking the door then jump on the bed, kissing hard, sucking on each other's bottom lip and swirling your tongue around his and vice versa, to gain control, until he stopped you, and he purred, reassuringly, â(Y/N), I want to let you know that I'll be gentle, and I'll take my time. I want to know you, every part of you, and hopefully claim them all to be mine.â
When you nodded, giving him permission to continue, you started taking notice of every movement of his. You continued kissing as he hiked up your (F/C) sweatshirt to let his fingers run through your waist, the chilly air from the ajar windows grazing your skin, causing you to tremble and tilt your face upward and your mouth a little open, causing him to kiss you hard, rasping, âDo you want me to take off your shirt?â
While you hummed in response and kept your arms up, and your lips were glued to each other, sitting up with your elbows, he took off your sweatshirt. Then, you rolled up his t-shirt and took it off as soon as you got out of the kiss, carefully inspecting every inch of his beautiful physique with your fingers. You were clearly in awe of him and this moment. âI canât believe I get to do this with you,â you murmur as your eyes got to see everything, finally your gaze landing on his hazel eyes.Â
He holds you by your waist, picks you up, perches you on your lap, and puts his arms around the small of your back as you straddle him with your arms around his neck, the two of you do not stop smiling. âHave I ever told you, (Y/N), that youâre beautiful?â TetsurĆ tells you with a soft smile, causing you to blush and look the other way, the incandescent light of the moon shining on your face. The moon and the stars were the only witnesses to the two of you exploring intimacy in a whole new dimension. He lifts your chin with his finger, bringing you to look at him as he carefully unhooks your bra, peels it off, and discards it on the ground, with your breasts on display.Â
This time, it was TetsurĆ who had his mouth wide open, gasping, âI canât believe you hid them from me, (Y/N) âcause they look so perfect,â and he cups both of your mounds and fondles with them, his thumbs flicking your nipples, causing your pussy to throb, and you tilt your head backward, biting your lip. He increases the pace of his flicking, causing you to whimper further, and grind slowly on him. He then says, âcan I go down on you, would you like that?,â and you smile and nod as he picks you by your butt, you wrap your legs around his waist, and places you gently on the bed, with your head on the pillow.Â
With careful intention, he slowly and gently takes off your black pants and sees your lace underwear, causing him to smirk as he sees the wetness through. He teases while splaying one of his hands over your tummy, âseems to me like youâve been waiting for it for a long time, donât worry, Iâll take good care of you.â He slowly takes the lace off your legs as your wetness was a full-on display for his ravenous eyes while licking his lips.
âIâm going to do it slowly, please tell me if you like it or not,â Tetsuro breathed, causing you to nod and his fingers start to explore every part of you, the wetness, the clit, the folds, every single touch was sending you into a frenzy. He finds and then starts rubbing your clit in a clockwise motion. Closing your eyes harder, you whimper while youâre arching your head up, crying out his name and whimpering, âOooh Tetsuro, it feels so nice.â
Both of you started to speak an unspoken language full of intense eye contact, moans, and groans as he kept stroking your clit, increasing the pace and intensity. The words, âit feels so good, please donât stop,â were reverberating in the air in the room. As you were breathing heavily and trembling, he kept quietening you saying, âitâs going to be okay, I got you. Then, with your wetness as lube, he inserted one of his slender fingers into your pussy, the slightest movement causing you to arch your back and mewl louder.
âOh, my, shit,â Tetsuro cried out, âyou really are tight. Damn, I love this pussy already,â while pushing the finger in and out slowly, stimulating you in a way youâd never felt before. You then cry, âplease go a little faster,â while biting back a moan, to which he replies, âwith pleasure, baby,â as he increases his pace. âDonât hold back, I want to hear you moan,â he says as you move your hips along the fingering movement, continuing to moan. Thatâs when he inserts another finger and says, âIâm going to start to exploring you with my mouth, so why donât you spread your legs for me, hmm?â
As an act of obedience, you spread your legs, showing him with great detail how it looked. He first starts to kiss your clit, still maintaining eye contact with you, but you break it to close your eyes and be lost in the pleasure. As he kisses your clit, he sucks on your folds, slowly, while still fingering you with two fingers. Your hands were fisting on the sheets, and you couldnât hold back your screams as he was doing it so well.
For a brief moment, you remembered something. You couldn't believe it was his first time too, because, he seemed to know his way around your body much better than you did while you were touching yourself when you were alone. A coil was slowly building up within you as he took out his fingers and fully eat you out with his hands on your thighs until you yell, âTetsu, Iâm cumming, Iâm cumming, Iâm cumming, ngh-â your legs start to tremble as the coil snaps.Â
He holds you steady with his hands, causing you to have your first orgasm of the night and him to slurp in your essence. He then kisses your pussy, gets up, sucks on his fingers to taste your slick, towers over you, with his tummy pressed against yours as he kisses you fervently, both of you get to taste how you tasted. You definitely liked it, you liked the way he did it and would thus never stop asking him from now on.
âLet me make you feel good too,â you plead to Tetsuro as you sit up, putting your hands on his shoulders, making his half-naked body lie down as you perch on top of him, and straddle him, as you lean forward and kiss him sloppily, but you couldnât care. All your hidden feelings for him were slowly starting to creep up as you released yourself from the kiss and watch the moon reflect on his eyes. You think to yourself, âoh god, how is he soâŠbeautiful?â
You move to a side as he slides the sweatpants off only for you to see him in black boxers. âDamn, youâre packing,â you gasp as you see his bulge. Both of you chuckle, as your hands stroke him, causing him to lean his head back against the headboard, and close his eyes. You peel the boxers off of him, to see his dick slap against his abdomen. âTetsu, itâs big,â you whimper in nervousness, to which he calmly replies, â(Y/N), baby, I believe youâll do well. Please take it in, I canât wait.âÂ
He then starts to feel your lips wrap around the head of his dick, touching nothing else, just your tongue swirling around slowly, getting a taste of his pre-cum. âBaby, please open your eyes and see if Iâm making you feel good,â you cry out to him as he tilts his head in your direction and his gaze fixates on you. While maintaining eye contact, your mouth slides all the way down to the base of his dick. You suck, hard, just once. But it's enough for him to feel like youâre pulling the cum out of him.
Tetsuro's lips gaped open and his eyelids rolled back as he closed his eyes, his face flushed with delight. You start moving your lips up and down, back and forth, pushed against his firm length. âNgh, this feels so good," he whimpers, "Iâm so glad that youâre my first.â With a smile on your face, you take one of his hands, run the fingers through your hair, and ask him to guide your speed. Tetsuro took small breaths, lightly thrusting into your mouth, not wanting to actually harm you because he didn't want to overwhelm you.Â
Tetsuro's lips gaped open and his eyelids rolled back as he closed his eyes, his face flushed with delight. As he brushed his tongue over his teeth, he swallowed, a lump in his throat. Only your low-sucking sounds could be heard as you continued to bob your head and groaned once or twice more. He breathed, "(Y/N)," writhing into your mouth, his nails digging into his calf. He also notices that your hands are caressing his balls. You slide off his dick and spend some time licking and sucking his balls, while stroking the length with one hand, making him moan, as the other hand rubs your clit, quickening the tempo while your knees sink deep into the mattress.
âBaby, that was so incredibly fantastic, I want to enter you,â he cries as you rise up and off the bed, still hooked on him. "Can I? Would you be able to get a condom out of my pants for me?" As he gets up, you walk over to his sweatpants, grab a condom package, hand it to him, and lie down on the bed, ripping the plastic and sliding the rubber on him. He noticed your lips quivering, and you exhaling deeply out of sheer nervousness, causing him to furrow his eyebrows. Thatâs when he approached you, tummy pressed against yours yet again, and intertwining his fingers with yours. âAre you sure you want to do this?â Tetsuro leans towards you closely and asks out of sheer concern.Â
When you looked at the reflection of the moon from his eyes, you noticed a sense of sincerity and security from him. Youâd always wondered how your first time would look like. How it would feel like. Youâd heard a lot of things that happen, including the deep pain you experience, but were curious to experience it yourself. Never did you think, however, that youâd be losing it to someone that youâd bonded with over the span of a couple of months. Youâd always viewed him as a friend, but circumstances had caused you two to be closer and eventually start innocently flirting with each other.Â
One thing led to another and youâre here. Caressing his cheek with your knuckles, you started to feel butterflies fluttering in your stomach. He always made you feel some type of way, but you never realized how until this very moment. For a split second, however, you thought of your exes, whoâd hurt you and betrayed your trust, as flashbacks popped into your head, but you decided to quickly shirk your fear off. You were here, in the moment, with him. Thatâs when you smile at him, replying softly, âIâve never been more sure.â
Tetsuro then smiles, leaning forward to whisper in your ear, adding, âI'm going to enter you slowly, okay?â while leaving open-mouthed kisses on the sensitive spot between your neck and shoulder and sucking on it. He then aligns the clothed dick with your entrance, continuing, "Please let me know if it hurts,â while you nod. Slowly, he teases your entrance sliding up and down, watching you bite your lower lip as your cunt throbs. Tetsuro then pushes in slowly, with the tip stretching you out, causing you to moan his name and writhe in pain as it stings you a bit. âBaby, itâs okay, Iâm here, breathe deeply for me,â he urges, as you regulate your deep breaths while he rubs your clit to help you relax. You then plead, âBaby, âs too big, I want you to fill me up,â wrapping your legs around him and arching back, the pain then turning into pleasure as he goes deeper before eventually bottoming out, you throwing your head back and moaning loudly in response.
He then grabs your chin to tilt your head down, maintaining eye contact as his hands push into your hip as heâs thrusting in and out of you. Eventually, he increases the pace as his hands travel to yours, intertwining fingers and pressing his forehead against yours. âIs this okay, baby?â Tetsuro asks, nervously, causing you to tilt your head a bit so that you could kiss him, and you respond by moaning, âYes, baby, it feels big, it feels amazing. Please, donât stop,â while scratching your nails on his back. This causes him to groan and increase his pace, and suck on the nipples, before eventually hitting the g-spot. You then curl your toes, while Tetsuro starts to kiss you, muffling your moans as he keeps going.
The sounds of skin slapping and both of you moaning reverberating in the air, with the smell of sex being obvious. Both of you were too intoxicated in the moment, the pleasure overwhelming you two, while Tetsuro explores the upper part of you with his lips. He kisses all over your neck, sucking in on some places marking you and kissing you on those very places. He continues to sink into your cunt as you two kiss each other sloppily, eventually causing you both to reach your high. âBaby, Iâm cumming again,â you breathily cry out as he slows down his thrusts lazily, âYes, baby, go on, cum for me, cum for me,â while he circles your clit with his thumb. With a final thrust, you cum together, his cock twitching and him releasing in the condom, and you gripping him tight and creaming him.
As he pulls out and discards the condom, he notices you whimpering in pain, prompting him to go to the bathroom, pick you up, carry you to the bathroom where you can smell dried flowers and scented candles, and lay you down in the bath tub where he locks the door and joins you. âAre you all right?â Tetsuro inquires, concerned, as your body sinks deep into the water, the warmth relieving the pain. âI've never been better, Tetsuro. I had no idea my first time would be so memorable. Thank you, you admit, exhausted, as he grabs your hands and forces you to lie down on his chest.Â
âYou know,â he nuzzles into your neck, âmaybe we should think about dating for real? Given that I've always liked you, and that I'm glad I got to lose it to you as well.â âBabe, I'm so sorry that I never got to ask you, did you like it too?â you ask, widening your eyes and turning your head to face him. Chuckling at you, he strokes your cheek with his knuckles, and says, âI couldn't imagine a better way to do so than to lose it to someone I like,â causing you to blush, nod and lock lips with him. With Tetsuro Kuroo, it truly felt like an endless period of ecstasy.Â
After that, he gets out of the bathtub, wipes himself, puts another towel on the bed, returns to the bedroom, and wipes you dry. He then urges you to wear his t-shirt, which may appear oversized to you, but you adore the gesture, while he wears boxers. You then put on some music, cover yourselves, and he kisses your forehead and gives you a peck on the lips before snuggling into him and drifting off to sleep, looking forward to more nights with him. You didn't have to imagine how you felt at the end of the night because there was only one word to describe how you felt: heavenly.Â
