hi. I exist and came to serve more fluff with pretty hsr men (this time itâs our one and only silly gambler dude, aven âĄ)
gn reader as always here!
Waking up everyday to the sight of your lover cuddling into you is probably the best thing that has ever happened to you. The warm light shining down onto you two through the curtains, the quiet morning with no sound of alarm ringing.
You blink once, twice, to wake your eyes up. When your vision finally stops being blurry from your sleep, you register something - a bunch of messy blond locks stuffed into your face. It smells nice and itâs fluffy, sure, but it really tickles your cheeks. You try to wriggle out of this weird position youâre in, only to be yanked back into your place by a hand
âGood morningâŚ?â you whisper, somehow unsure if the one next to you is awake (as if what just happened wasnât the proof).
âNoâ Aventurine mumbles and leans into your touch more, as if you were about to disappear into thin air. You chuckle quietly at this and prop yourself up on your free arm to kiss his cheek. You notice how a faint smile creeps its way onto his lips, yet his eyes are still closed - as if trying to fool you into believing that heâs asleep (you both know heâs now 100% awake).
âWake up, sunâs already upâ you try again and earn a quiet groan from the man. He shifts under the duvet, his golden hair disappearing and reappearing moments later. This time heâs facing you, eyes squinted to let in as little light as possible. You smile; his eyes are one of your favourite things to look at, and to see him in a situation like that is a sight to behold.
âThat doesnât mean we need to as well, does it?â Before you can answer, he adds âbesides, itâs comfy in here. And you canât argue, it is rare for us to be able to wake up like this, together. You could reward me on my day off and let me sleep longer, [name].â
For a moment, youâre not sure what answer to come up with - after all, he is right. Situations like these donât happen often and you should savour them as much as you can. But not when itâs⌠wait, what system time exactly is it?
Before you manage to even turn around to check, Aventurine cups your cheek at stares at you with so much intensity behind those pretty eyes of his, as if his life depended on it. (Quite funny how itâs just another morning; nothing less, nothing more.)
âDonât. Just, focus on me right now. Youâre not in a rush, so why the hurry?â Something in his voice stops you in your tracks, and for a split second youâre just staring at him with wide eyes. He chuckles at that expression, bringing you closer to him and kissing your forehead. You melt into that warmth, suddenly hyperaware of your surroundings, of the sunâs rays you donât really want to accept yet, of the comfortable position you found yourself in, of the softness of Aventurineâs lips, and most importantly, of Aventurine himself.
You sigh, half in defeat, half in relief, as you slide one of your hands underneath the silky fabric of his shirt and placing it on his bare back, cold fingers meeting warm skin. He shivers just slightly, but doesnât push you away. Instead, he leans in closer, chin resting atop your head.
You move in a little, until your lips are mere inches away from his neck and your breathâs tickling him. You place a kiss on that burn mark, the commodity code that stings, yet the blonde sighs at that feeling, as if content.
âYou smell niceâ you manage to whisper into his skin before drifting back to the dreamland, this time in your loverâs gentle embrace.

âNow, are you sure youâre okay? I can personally file a report for you.â Mr. Kim asked for the 6th time. You roll your eyes, fed up with the badgering. You didnât understand why he cared so much anyway. He was the one that refused to listen to you when you tried to explain why it wouldnât be a great idea for you to deliver in Gongdan.
You didnât go into detail about the assault, or even bother to mention Yoongi being the reason it didnât escalate. You simply just stated to him that you were attacked and managed to slip free.
Luckily for you though, the old manâs guilt for the attack led him to giving you the rest of the day off and you snatched that offer up immediately. Not like he needed your assistance, seeing as the restaurant was practically dead with only about 4 customers. âIâm fine, Mr. Kim. I promise.â You assure him one last time. âAlright then. Iâll see you tomorrow.â
âSee you tomorrow.â You exit the shop, the door dinging as you do. You spot Minaâs car sitting in front of the restaurant, and she smiles cheerfully as you climb inside. âHey. Thanks for picking me up so early.â You sigh, buckling your seatbelt. âNo problem⌠But why am I picking you up so early? AndâŚâ she leans forward, peaking at your ripped shirt. âWhy is your shirt ripped?â
You scratch your head, the thought of explaining the situation to Mina made your brain itch. âI had to deliver at the Devilâs playground again, and got attacked.â You kept it short and sweet. Minaâs eyes widened in shock. âWhat?! Was it that Yoongi guy again?!â
You shake your head. âIt wasnât him, it was this group of guys. Yoongi was actually the one that saved meâŚâ you twiddle with your fingers as your mind wanders about the raven. Mina arches a brow at the gentleness in your voice. âHe saved you?â You nod slowly in response. âMy god, what does he expect from you now? Sexual favors?â
Of course Mina has to be the most dramatic and think the worst possible thought of everything. âNo, he didnât ask me for any favors. Which I guess is surprising for someone with his track record.â You admit, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth. Mina starts up the car, finally moving from the restaurant premises. âPlease donât tell me youâre buddy buddy with that thug now?â
You scoff, letting your eyes roll back. âOf course not! The guy is a criminal, and stalker. Iâd never befriend him,â You argue, crossing your arms. Yoongi may have saved you, but you werenât swayed by his heroic charm. âAnyway, enough about me and my shitty day, itâs too traumatic to talk about. Did you have a talk with Jin like I suggested?â You change the subject. Minaâs face drops at the mention of her boyfriendâs name. âYeah, we talked for about 2 minutes before it all blew up. Now weâre not on speaking terms,â She sighs. âI think maybe I should break up with himâŚâ
You frown. âThere she goes being the most dramatic againâŚâ
âMina, donât be so damn hasty all the time.â You try to reason with the blonde. âIâm not!â She defended herself. âIâm just tired, y/n. Iâm tired of trying to figure him out. Iâd rather break up with him before he breaks up with me.â
Mina had never been the girl to get her heart broken. In high school she was the one always doing the heart breaking, so you could tell that it genuinely killed her to love someone as much as she loved Jin, and not know where his head was at regarding their relationship. âI donât know, Mina⌠I just know if I was in your shoes with Kookie, Iâd try to work things out before I think of the worst possible outcome.â
Mina pouts, but she doesnât continue to speak. Whether she wanted to admit it or not, you were right. She shouldnât just jump the gun and break up with Jin. Although he was acting strangely and it was confusing the hell out of her. âYou know⌠Iâm jealous of your relationship with Kookie.â She suddenly blurts, causing you to turn to her with a raised brow. âHuh?â
âIâm jealous,â she repeats. âOf you and Jungkook.â
You tilt your head to the side, your eyebrows now scrunched in curiosity. âWhy?â
Mina simply shrugs, sitting quietly for a couple of minutes before answering. âYou two match, and have an unbeatable connection. You started off as best friends, which played in your favor. I met Jin in the hospital because he had a broken arm. We donât have the history you and Jungkook have.â
You smile at the compliment towards your relationship, but quickly shake your head. âHistory isnât everything. Some people marry their high school sweethearts and breakup. You and Seokjin just need to be matureâ or you at least.â Mina whips her head in your direction, her brows furrowed. âWhat do you mean by âor you at leastâ?â
âI mean that sometimes youâre immature. You tend to freak out when things donât go your way and storm off like a child.â Mina snarls. âIâm not immature.â She muttered to herself, practically proving your point. The car finally slows down in front of your apartment before coming to a complete stop. âThanks for the ride again, Mina. I appreciate you.â
âOf course. Iâm mature enough to pick up my best friend when she needs me.â She glares, your previous comment still not sitting well with her. You shake your head, paying no mind to her attitude. âBye, Mina. I hope everything works out with Jin.â You pushed open the car door, climbing out.
âYeah, you and me both.â She mutters her last words before she waits for you to close the car door, speeding off into the distance with you standing there to watch. You let out a sigh, shrugging. What was the point of her asking for your advice if she was always going to dislike what you had to say?
You turn on your heels, walking up the steps that lead to your building entrance. As you venture down the hall to your apartment, you spot a shaggy haired man placing a bouquet of flowers right in front of your front door. A smile forms your face as you see the one person you longed to see after such a horrendous experience. âKookie?â
The brunette jumps slightly, your sudden appearance catching him off guard. Once he registers that itâs you, he smiles as well. âWell shit, I wanted to surprise you with something sweet when you got off. Guess thatâs a fail.â He scratches the back of his neck, chuckling. You shake your head, instantly embracing him with a hug. âItâs not a fail. Iâm so happy to see you.â Even though you pretty much talked on the phone with Jungkook everyday, it felt like you hadnât seen him in weeks.
Jungkookâs tattooed arms wrap around your waist, returning your gentle embrace. âIâm happy to see you too, angel. Whatâre you doing home so early though? I thought you werenât off till 8:00?â
You bit down on your bottom lip. You wanted to start crying right there just thinking about what almost happened to you today. You hadnât told him about your trip to Gongdan yesterday because you didnât want him to worry, but now you felt as though he deserved to know this time. âI got attacked today.â You take a step back, showing him your torn shirt. Jungkook looks down, dumbfounded at how he hadnât clocked your ripped shirt when you first walked in.
âBy who?!â He shouts. âIf it was Yoongi and his gang I swear to godââ
You shush Jungkook, looking around to make sure none of your neighbors were in the hallway eavesdropping. âLetâs talk about this inside, okay?â The brunette is pissed, but he nods, awaiting for you to open your apartment door. He grabs the flowers from the floor as you dig through your purse for your key. âI really need to get a keychain for this thing," you thought, finally finding the piece of metal in your bag.
You open the door, and Jungkook wastes no time storming in. He places the flowers on your kitchen table, pulling out a chair for you to sit and explain yourself. Even though he was angry he still focused on your wellbeing. You close the door, unsure if you really wanted to recite the situation. Too late to change your mind now though.
You shuffle to the seat that Jungkook pulled out for you, plopping down. âSo? Was it Yoongiâs doing?â
How do you even begin to explain all of this? Yes, but not really? While Yoongi was the reason you ended up in Gongdan, he isnât the one that attacked you. But he has taken a weird interest in you ever since the Makoto showdown between you and his trusty stooge. If you told Jungkook that though, he'd just spend every moment trying to protect you and probably do something unnecessary to get himself hurt. You didnât want that.
So, maybe it was best to embellish the truth a bit and leave Yoongi out of it.
âI had a delivery in Gongdan today. Jimin was out sick, and I was the only one that could deliver it. A group of guys attacked me on my way back to the restaurant.â Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows. âYou had a delivery at the devilâs playground and you took it? What the hell were you thinking?â
âI was thinking that I had to do my job. I had no choice, Kookie. Mr. Kim wasnât letting me out of it. Believe me, I tried.â The brunette scoffed, redirecting his anger to Mr. Kim. âI should go down there and kick that old manâs ass,â He muttered. Jungkook was never too fond of Mr. Kim. He thought the old man could be a bit misogynistic.
âDid they hurt you?â His voice is now more tender. You shook your head. âNo. Iâm fine,â You assure him. âThe only thing that got hurt is my precious shirt.â You laugh a bit, trying to lighten the mood. âDid they just let you go? Howâd you get free?â He pressed on.
âUmmâŚâ you trail off, your thoughts once again wandering to the raven haired man.
âSo Wonder Woman, you ready to accept that ride today?â
âThey got scared off by someone that happened to be walking by. Lucky me, huh?â
Jungkook sighs smoothly, crouching down in front of your chair. He takes your hands in his, interlocking your fingers. âIâm glad youâre okay, y/n. I hate to know you experienced that and I wasnât there.â He frowns, leering down at your hands. âJungkook, youâre not gonna be able to be there for everything, and thatâs okay. Youâre here now, when I need you the most.â
Jungkook looks up at you. âAnd Iâll stay here.â
âPlease remind me to stop letting you pick out movies. You always pick the cheesiest ones.â Jungkook grimaced as you two reached the end of your movie. You wiped stray tears from your eyes, glaring over at your soon-to-be boyfriend. âThe Princess Diaries is a classic. I love it.â Jungkook snorts, shaking his head. âYeah, well next time Iâm picking the movie. Your selection sucks.â
You gasp, taking a pillow from the other end of the couch. âTake that back.â You cock the pillow, ready to deliver a blow. âOkay, okay. Iâm sorry⌠that youâre ass at picking movies.â You swing the pillow down on him, and his hands go up in self defense as he laughs, his back landing on the couch cushions to better protect his face. You take this advantage to straddle the brunetteâs waist, continuing your attack until he ultimately surrenders. âOkay, Iâm sorry! Iâm sorry!â You finally toss the pillow back down to the end of the couch, a victory smirk plastered on your face. âI knew youâd see it my way.â
âHard not to when Iâm being attacked by a pillow.â He looks up at you, still straddling his waist. Jungkookâs hands slowly roam up your legs, stopping to grip your hips. âYouâre so beautiful, you know that?â Your cheeks heated up with the compliment, and you felt a sudden wave of warmth between your legs that made you anxious. This was it. There was no better time than this to lose your virginity to Jungkook.
You lean forward, pressing your lips to his pierced ones, the metal was cold against you; Jungkook didnât hold back, or hesitate the moment your lips were against his. Your mouths moved in sync, but sloppily at the same time as though you both wanted it real badâ and you did. Jungkookâs hands moved from your hips, reaching back to cup your ass in his hands, giving your cheeks a squeeze.
You moaned softly into his mouth, rolling your hips over the rough fabric of his jeans until you felt his cock harden underneath you. Jungkook made sure to assist you, his hands pressing you down harder against his confined length. Your panties were soaked, and your mind was in a daze. You were sure that you had dampened his jeans by now. âFuck, Y/nâŚâ he muttered in between kisses. âWe have to stop before I canât stop.â
âThen donât stop, I want this.â You whine, rolling your hips faster. Jungkook moans, eyes squeezing shut. âFuck, I canât.â He grabs your hips, forcing you to stop. You take the hint, but you canât help the pang in your chest. Was there something wrong with you? You didnât get it. What was he waiting for? You climb off of him, taking your place back on the couch.
Itâs silent as Jungkook sits up on the couch, running his fingers through his hair. âY/nâŚâ
âSave it,â You cut him short. âYou donât want to have sex with me, I get it.â Jungkook shakes his head. âThatâs not true. I do.â He argued. You scoff, rolling your eyes. âSo then whatâs the problem? Iâm always practically giving signals that Iâm ready and youâre holding back. You have never done that with any girl youâve dated before me.â
âYouâre not any girl Iâve dated before you.â
âRight, Iâm y/n, the girl thatâs been your best friend for years and the truth is thatâs probably all you see me as.â Jungkook says nothing, he doesnât even bother to argue because thatâs just something he hates doing with you. âI uh⌠I should go.â
âThen go.â You snapped. Jungkook nods, standing up from the couch. As he walks to the front door, he looks back at you. You donât look his way, you just continue to stare forward. âYouâre not any girl Iâve dated before you.â He repeats; those are his final words before he opens the door and leaves.
Your eyes brim with tears as you finally turn, looking towards the table where Jungkookâs bouquet of flowers sat.
âWell well well, look who made a full recovery today.â You eye Jimin taking orders as you walk into Makoto. Jimin smiles at you, happy to see you in what felt like forever since you two worked together. âY/n, itâs good to see you too.â He greets. You cross your arms, not in a greeting mood. âI have a bone to pick with you once youâre done here.â You say, walking back to the kitchen to clock in.
âY/n, good afternoon. How are you feeling today?â Mr. Kim asks you as you grab an apron from the hook, tying the black fabric around your waist. âItâs a Monday, how am I supposed to be feeling?â You speak dreadfully. You barely got any sleep after what happened last night with Jungkook, and now you were at work. Jungkook hadnât even called or texted you. Not that you wanted him to right now.
âWell, I meant everything that happened yesterday, how are you feeling today?â He reiterates. You grab a time card, swiping it through the clock. âIâm fine, Mr. Kim.â You walk past him, taking a notepad and pen from the cup holder. Jimin walks back into the kitchen, his face suddenly pale like he was ready to puke. Maybe he was sick.
âHey, um, thereâs someone out there at table three thatâs requesting for you to take their order.â He says, scratching the back of his neck. You raise a skeptical brow. âRequesting me? Could it be Jungkook?â You thought. Maybe he wanted to talk in person instead of over the phone. You didnât see why he couldnât have waited until your shift was over and come to your apartment, but you didnât argue with the gesture.
âOkayâŚ?â You walk out of the kitchen towards the dining area. As you scope out table three, you donât see Jungkook, but in fact, Yoongi, Joon, and two other guys you donât know. Thatâs why Jimin looked so sickly. You shake your head, sauntering over to their table. âWhatâre you doing here? Was yesterday not enough?â You snap at Yoongi.
âNice to see you too,â the raven laughs, leaning back in his chair. âYesterday is the reason Iâm here in person, sweetheart. Wouldnât want you getting your pretty self into any more trouble in my hood.â He smirked. âYou remember my boy Joon, donât you?â
âWonder Woman, itâs good to see you again.â You glare at Joon, rolling your eyes. You didnât have time for this. Yoongi was the last person you cared to see right now, and you definitely never wanted to see Nam-joon again. âSo are you here to order something or are you here to be the bane of my existence?â
âDepends⌠are you on the menu?â He bites his bottom lip, looking you up and down. Joon, and Yoongiâs other two minions snicker and youâve decided youâve had enough of this pig fest. âOkay, goodbye.â You turn to head back to the kitchen, but Yoongi stops you by grabbing your wrist. âIâm just joking around, sweetheart. Iâm here to ask you something.â You pull your wrist from his grip, turning back to face him. âAsk me what?â
âWell, Iâm having this kickback at my place tonight. I want you to slide through.â You scrunch your eyebrows together in confusion. âWhat on earth would make you think Iâd dare to step foot into Gongdan again? And what makes you think Iâd go to your shifty ass warehouse?â
âWell, I just thought after my heroism the other day you would want to thank me more properly.â You scoffed. Mina was right. He was expecting some kind of sexual favor from you. âI knew it. You only helped because you thought you could use me later on. I shouldâve expected that from someone like you.â You leave their table, making your way back towards the kitchen, but this time Yoongi stands up from his seat to follow you.
âPrincess,â He stops you again, his hand grazing your waist, but he doesnât fully touch you in a manner that came across as though he was trying to respect your boundariesâfor once. He steps in front of you, blocking your way to the kitchen. âItâs not like that. I helped you because I wanted to.â
âIs that so? Because it truly didnât seem like it just a second ago.â You snarled, crossing your arms. The raven makes a âtskâ sound before continuing on. âSweetheart, if thatâs all I wanted from you then I wouldâve made you give it to me right there in the alleyway. Regardless of what happened,â His face was stone cold serious. He meant that. You stood silent, not knowing what to say next.
âListen⌠sometimes I have these kickbacks, and theyâre a vibe, but it would be better if I saw your pretty face there.â His voice is soft, so soft that you didnât think someone like Yoongi could produce such a tone. âI donât think it would be a good idea for me to take a bus through Gongdan at night.â
âSo donât. Iâll pick you up.â
You sigh, slowly feeling yourself ready to cave in and you didnât know why. You literally could not stand this man. He was a stalker for fuck sakes. A criminal. And yet⌠here you were ready to accept his invitation because of one good gesture, and a sudden softness to his voice. Yoongiâs eyes search for yours until they lock, a smile forming his face. For a moment as you're looking into the ravenâs eyes you begin to question is he really the monster he makes people believe? Or is that all for looks?
âHey, can we get the check please?â A customer calls out. Your eyes snap away from Yoongiâs. You had almost forgotten you were at work. âLook, I have to get back to work. Iâll⌠Iâll let you know.â You take your notepad, writing down your phone number. As you rip the paper from the pad, you actually begin to question your sanity. You hand the paper to Yoongi, his lips tilting in a sly smirk as he takes it.
âI look forward to hearing from you, princess.â

All For The Family - Part I
That was the only part of his job that Brian dislike, even though it was necessary. To justify what he had to do, he told himself those folks deserved it, that they shouldâve been more careful with their own bills and the loans they took out, and paid their mortgage right. It wasnât his fault. He was just there to deliver the truth they were probably expecting anyway. He tried to adopt a âdonât shoot the messengerâ attitude while also showing he felt for their situation, even though he still had to do his job. That rarely worked in the two years heâd been doing that gig, and this time was no different. The blonde 24 years old man, rockin' a sharp suit that fit him like a glove on his skinny frame paired with his glasses, he was supposed to look classy and confident. Which clearly didnât have the intended effect on the crowd he was facing. Standing in front of him with his arms crossed and a look on his face like he just sucked on a lemon was the biggest man Brian had ever seen in his life.
âYou gotta understand, Mr. Abernathy, that the promissory noteâs overdue again. If you donât cough up the cash, the bank wonât have any choice but to foreclose and take your land to auction.â
âI get it, kid, but it seems like youâre the one refusing to understand. Tomorrow, Iâm getting another hand to help with the harvest, and weâll pay up all the back dues and even get ahead on a few!â
âMr. Abernathy⌠Roy, can I call you Roy?â Brian asked with a smile he hoped was friendly and not showing the frustration he felt at that moment.
âMy friends call me Roy, kid; you ainât my friend.â
Brian let out a sigh at that response and decided to drop the pleasantries, taking a more hard-nosed approach.
âWell, Mr. Abernathy, I hate to break it to you, but if that promise of yours doesnât pan out, Iâm afraid that come the first of next month, you and your family are gonna have to vacate this property.â
âSave your worries for yourself, kid, while you hightail it off my land, âcause for now, Iâm the one who decides who comes and goes around here.â
âIf you werenât planning on negotiating at all, whyâd you make me drive all the way out here?â
ââCause there are some things that need to be said and done face-to-face, son.â
âWell, next time, just call me if you got something important to say!â
With a huff, Brian turned his back on the older, muscular man and headed toward the sports car parked behind the big barn that flanked the simple but well-kept farmhouse.
As he watched the kid walk away, unaware of the wave of golden sparks emanating from him, Roy murmured to himself, âNext time we talk, youâll take whatever I say as important, boy!â He said, flashing a wide grin before turning to a figure that was approaching. âIs it done?â he asked, his smile widening at the answer.
That spat with the Abernathy family patriarch left Brian pissed off. Still, he couldnât shake the thought that it might be through his work that those folks would lose everything. At the same time, he knew that if it were his older brother knocking on that door, dressed in his cop uniform, the treatment wouldâve been a whole lot different. Of course, he could never pull off Lucas's job. Lost in those gloomy thoughts, he took a while to realize that the gas tank he filled up that very morning was nearly empty, and it was only when a beeping alert rang out that he noticed.
âDamn, how is this possible?â he exclaimed to the empty car as he pulled over to the side of the road and weighed his options. Looking at his cell, he found he was out of signal. The nearest town was miles away. The only option left...
âDamn!â he yelled again, getting out of the car and shrugging off his suit jacket, heading toward the Abernathyâs place, wondering what kind of reception he was gonna get. No matter how much empathy he might have started to feel for those folks, it surely wouldnât be mutual. Halfway to the farm, the already bad situation took a turn for the worse when rain started pouring down, soaking Brian's expensive clothes.
For the first time in his life, he felt like he was being punished by some higher power for doing that job, and he was sure of it when he ran smack into the person he needed but didnât want to see: Roy Abernathy in all his bulk! He was standing in front of an old Ford pickup, arms crossed again, but this time with a grin that Brian wouldâve usually taken for some petty celebration, but at that moment it seemed to him to have more sincerity than he was used to seeing from âclients.â The man was with someone who could only be his son, given the huge resemblance between the two. Those behemoths made for a frightening sight for Brian, leaving him speechless. However, he didnât even get a chance to speak, as Roy started the conversation for him.
âLooks like you need a little help, son. Whereâs your fancy car?â
âI⌠the gasâŚâ
âOh, I get it; itâs real reckless to be out here with an empty tank.â The man said, still grinning, and Brian initially felt like he was just saying that to mess with him. But quickly, a small voice in the back of his mind disagreed; the Abernathys werenât stingy like that. That new, dissenting voice made him hold his tongue and respond more calmly than expected.
âI donât know what happened; I left town with a full tank. And⌠I⌠um⌠Iâll need some help, yeah.â
âSorry, son, what was that?â
âI said I need help, if you could⌠please?!â He replied louder, though he was pretty sure the man heard him.
âOf course I can help, son. Out here, we all pitch in, no matter who you are.â Another jab, and once again something made Brian hold back; he deserved that treatment, the little voice said, and he would take it like a man, like the man he was. Roy smiled again, apparently noticing that the young man was holding back from snapping back.
âThanks, sir. Now, if you could just follow me to the car and get me some gasâŚâ
âNo, son, youâre soaked through. Let RJ and me take care of that; you go to my house and talk to my wife; sheâll get you some dry clothes and a hot meal.â
âIâd rather go to my carâŚâ
âNo arguments, kid; do what I said!â Roy replied, his face turning serious.
âI⌠I⌠fine!â Brian said, biting back his anger and trudging down the road.
âThat oneâs a bit rough around the edges.â RJ commented to his dad as he watched Brian walk away.
âOh, but heâs starting to behave, and thereâs nothing wrong with him being a little rough, son, as long as he uses that attitude in the right wayâŚâ
âDad, are you sure? This mumbo jumbo sounds crazy⌠and the risk we took, messing with that guyâs car. What if he noticed?â
âWhat are the odds a guy like that knows how to handle a car, Junior? At least for now.â
âDad, what youâre talking about doing⌠itâs impossibleâŚâ
âSon, youâre gonna have to trust me on this; believe me, itâs already started. Tomorrow at this time, weâll have the help we need and one heartless drone less in the world.â
âBut how? How can you be sure? Have you done this before?â The young man asked.
âNo, Junior, I havenât.â Roy replied, looking quite uncomfortable and avoiding eye contact with his son. âBut since you apparently doubt your old manâs word, maybe you should trust your own eyes; take a quick look now, and youâll see something unique.â
âWhat the hell? What is that, Dad?â The boy asked, seeing the golden sparks surrounding the man who walked, seemingly unaware of anything strange.
âThat, my boy, is the solution to our problems; now hurry up.â
As father and son climbed into the old pickup, an oblivious Brian, unaware of their plans for him, arrived at the farmhouse door. The moment he raised a hand to knock, the door swung open suddenly, and he found himself facing a beautiful woman with bronzed skin and black hair streaked with gray, whose age he couldnât quite pin down, though he knew she was Abernathyâs wife. The woman looked at him with a warm face that, for some unknown reason, sent a shiver down his spine.
âWell, well, what do we have here? A lost kitten? How can I help you, sugar?â
âUm⌠Iâm sorry, maâam. I⌠Mr. Abernathy told me to come here and⌠hum⌠change clothes while he looks at my car.â
âYouâre soaked, poor thing! Come on in, come on in. Iâll ask Debra to get you some of RJâs clothes. Be a good boy and wait right here; I donât want my carpet all wet!â The woman said in a whirlwind, pulling him inside the house and leaving him standing at the threshold. Brian, for his part, had to control himself not to run back out into the rain, as something urged him to get out of that place as fast as possible. Holding himself back, he waited until the woman returned with a young girl about his age, just as pretty as the mother, in a floral dress.
âDebra will take you to RJâs room; you can dry off and wear some of his clothes until the boys bring your car back. Meanwhile, Iâll whip up some dinner; a big boy like you must eat as much as my husband and son!â
âI⌠actuallyâŚâ Brian started, but he gave up announcing his intention to leave as fast as possible upon receiving a look from Mrs. Abernathy that simultaneously showed expectation and reprimand. âThank you, maâam.â
âGreat, now letâs go, letâs go! Youâre soaking my carpet!â
Brian followed Debra up to one of the rooms on the second floor of the house. Upon entering, he was surprised to find it was a double room. Did the Abernathy kids, brother and sister, share the same room?
âIâve set aside some of RJâs clothes for you; they might be a bit big, but at least theyâre dry.â The girl said, smiling between the two beds in the room. Brian couldnât help but ask.
âYou sleep here with your brother?â
âGod, no, eww! That bedâs for my other brother!â
âI didnât know that⌠wait⌠thereâs no record of the Abernathys having another kid in the paperwork given to the bank!â
âShhh⌠relax; thereâs no need to stress about that, itâs not important. You city folks with your data, your records, your⌠contracts. Life is so much more than that, you know? So why donât you chill for a bit, dry off, and head down? Dadâs gonna want to talk to you.â The girl replied and left the room, leaving a very confused Brian behind. He was still pondering the familyâs strange behavior as he undressed and wondered what the hell Roy Abernathy would want to talk to him about. He wasnât fooling himself thinking it could be something good for his job, not after the confrontation they had just had.
After drying off and getting ready to put on RJ's much larger clothes, the little intrusive voice invaded his mind again. Whatever Roy had to say was important, and he should listen and obey, just like he always had. Before his mind could fight back against that, a beam of golden sparks emanated from his body, and both the intrusive voice and the need to resist it vanished from Brian's mind. In fact, all thoughts disappeared. He couldn't tell how long he stood there, just breathing, with his mind blank of thoughts or worries.
He only returned to reality when someone caught his attention.
âWhat are you doing just standing there, brother?â A deep voice asked, startling him awake. Turning quickly, Brian found himself face to face with Abernathyâs son, RJ. Heâd only seen him briefly on the road, but now he was just a few inches away. RJ lacked the bulk of his father, but that didnât mean he was small. On the contrary, he was a strong guy, a year or two older than Brian, with a muscular, hairy chest on display. Looking at that figure, Brian felt a strange sensation wash over him, a kind of bond between him and this stranger; it wasnât sexual, it was something⌠brotherly, maybe? He knew heâd felt that before, but couldnât remember when or with whom. As absurd as it was, it was like this guy in front of him was someone very important.
âEarth to you, bro! Get some clothes on and letâs eat; Dadâs waiting.â
âI⌠uh⌠yeah.â Brian replied, hurrying to put on the clothes that were lying next to him.
âYou coming?â He asked, wanting to stretch the time spent with the other man, even though he didnât know why.
âNah, I already ate; Iâm gonna crash here. Weâll talk later and figure out how to fix your car!â
âCar?â
âDude, you really are in another dimension, eat your food, talk to dad, Iâll be waiting!â
Brian headed downstairs and made his way to the kitchen, not even questioning how he knew which way to go, while trying to pin down that feeling of connection to someone heâd just met. As he reached the kitchen door, he found Roy Abernathy sitting alone at a large dining table piled high with food, looking serious and pensive. Brian instinctively stopped at the door, watching the older man. Strangely, all the animosity heâd felt toward the man had vanished, and revisiting his feelings, even the fear he refused to admit existed was different now; it wasnât fear of violence, but a hefty dose of respect, with a healthy hint of dread. He didnât even have time to try to figure out what had changed, as Abernathy spotted him and broke into a smile.
âCome on in and grab a bite, son, donât just stand there like a deer in headlights!â The man said, and while part of Brianâs mind told him he should be anger by that comment, a now dominant part made him smile shyly and head over to the table.
âExcuse me, sir!â He said politely and respectfully.
âSure thing, son, make yourself at home; things here are simple but done right.â
âThanks, sir.â Brian replied, serving himself a bit of everything on the table, ending up with a plate piled high, which seemed to please his host.
âThatâs a plate fit for a real man!â
âSorry, Mr. Abernathy; it all looks so good andâŚâ
âNo need to apologize, son; thatâs a compliment youâre giving my wifeâs cooking. And you can call me Roy. Thatâs what my friends call me.â
Hearing that sparked something in Brianâs mind, some kind of half-forgotten memory, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldnât recall it⌠if he canât remember it must not be important, right? So, he opted to eat all that delicious food, smiling, again oblivious to the shower of golden sparks surrounding him. But Roy Abernathy couldnât help but notice, making his smile grow even wider.
Brian devoured the food like he hadnât eaten in days, time slipping by without him realizing it. He only stopped eating when his belly stretched the elastic of RJâs shorts, which was no small feat since the man was much stronger than him. Satisfied, he let out a loud burp.
âBurrrpp⌠sorry, Mr. Abernathy.â
âOnce again, thatâs a compliment to my wifeâs fine cooking, kid; and I already told you, my friends call me Roy.â
âThanks, Roy⌠you⌠you all didnât have to do this for me, not after⌠afterâŚâ
âAfter what, son?â Roy asked, with an apparently innocent look.
âAfter⌠afterâŚâ after what? What did I do to Abernathy? I canât remember⌠something about work⌠my job. â⌠my job.â Brian mumbled.
âKid, just âcause youâre gonna work for me doesnât mean Iâm gonna stop treating you like a guest.â Roy replied with a smile, sending a shock through Brianâs mind. That information couldnât be true⌠or could it? He tried to remember his job, but nothing came to mind; he had gone to college and studied⌠what? He couldnât recall. But he knew his job had given him the means to buy the clothes he liked and the car⌠yeah, his car! There was something about his car.
âAnd my carâŚ?â
âOh, right, tomorrow you and RJ can figure out how to fix it. But I gotta tell you, son, thereâs only so much an old car can take!â
âOldâŚ? no, no!â
âOh, I know young folks prefer the term classic, but still⌠anyway⌠if I were you, Iâd save up for a good reliable pickup, kid! Now head on up; Iâm sure you and RJ will want to talk before bed, but tomorrow the day starts bright and early around here.â
âI⌠I⌠Roy⌠thereâs something⌠somethingâŚâ Brian started as he stood up and headed for the door, unable to finish. He wanted to say there was something weird, something wrong, but he couldnât.
âSomething you wanna tell me, son?â
âYeah⌠Mr. Abernathy⌠RoyâŚâ He struggled to find the right words to express how he felt. â⌠thanks again!â That was what he finally said, with a fresh wave of golden sparks surrounding him, and any doubt about what he was doing there vanished.
âThank me with hard work, son; now go to your room.â
Feeling a bit dazed, Brian climbed the stairs and reached the room he shared with RJ. The other man was lying down, apparently asleep, which left Brian feeling a bit down.
He couldn't say why, but he felt the urge to talk to RJ; somehow, he felt like the other man was a special friend he hadn't spoken to in a long time, though that didn't make any sense. He hardly knew the guy; they had barely exchanged words since they met that day... or was it the day his father hired Brian? And when was that? Brian sat on the bed, trying to sort out his thoughts and calm the strange feeling that had taken over him since his car broke down on the road. And why was he on the road if he had gone to the Abernathys to work? He couldn't get very far with those thoughts, as apparently, his movements had woken RJ, who quickly sat up in bed.
âHey, brother, why didnât you let me know you were in the room?â
âI didnât want to wake you; didnât wanna bother youâŚâ
âMan, it ainât no bother! We gotta talk about your car, figure out what weâre gonna do!â
âYour dad thinks I should sell it and save up for a pickup!â
âBro, no way! Dadâs a great guy, but for him, if something ainât useful for work, it ainât worth a damn. Heâs forgotten what itâs like being a guy our age. And selling a 1969 Ford Mustang? The king of American muscle cars? Only if youâre crazy! I figured with a car like that, youâd know how to appreciate a classic!â
âI⌠uh⌠I just didnât wanna offend your dad, with him being my boss and allâŚâ
âDude, just be straight with him, and heâll get it⌠and forget about the boss stuff⌠youâre sleeping in his sonâs room; you can bet he sees you as more than just an employee.â
âThanksâŚâ Brian replied awkwardly.
âCome on, enough of that; youâre gonna work with me, hell, youâre sharing a room with me, brother! No need for all that formal junk.â RJ said, grinning before giving Brian a scrutinizing look and asking, âBro, do you lift?â
âUh, no⌠Iâve never been much for working outâŚâ
âSo how you ended up working on a farm??â
âUh⌠I⌠went to college⌠I think, and⌠I donât rememberâŚâ
âChill out, brother, Iâm just teasing you!But seriously, if you wanna work around here, you gotta pack on some serious muscle.â RJ said, casually scratching his powerful pecs and biceps, making Brian, who had never cared about that kind of thing, feel mesmerized.
âYou think⌠you think I can get as big as you or your dad?â Why was he asking that???
âHa, dude, nobodyâs as big as my dad, and getting to my size is a good journey, but the beauty of the thing is just that, brother; you never settle for the size you are, and I bet with the right training and all the farm work, soon you wonât even recognize yourself.â Hearing that reply filled Brian with a level of contentment he never thought possible.
But before he could try to understand why, RJ went back to talking about cars, and soon the two were discussing their favorite classic models and what theyâd do with Brianâs old Mustang. Their conversation flowed like theyâd known each other for years and was only interrupted when a very serious Roy Abernathy opened the bedroom door and told the two to hit the hay already, like a couple of mischievous kids being schooled by their dad. Somehow, that thought was comforting to Brian, who quickly fell asleep after Roy turned off the lights and left the room.
He was in a strange place; it looked like a gym. There was a young, skinny but strong guy, as blonde as he was, staring at him. After a few seconds, he realized he was standing in front of a mirror and smiled.
As he dreamed of that, Brian smiled in his sleep on the bed in Roy Juniorâs room, his shirt pulled off during the night without him realizing, and golden sparks surrounding him as he moved around happily, unaware that someone was watching him.
âSleep tight, little brother, âcause tomorrowâs when things are really gonna get interesting!â

Authors note: This is my first smut in a long long time, I just thought about how alhaithamâs bottled up emotions will one day bubble over, inspired by a small ramble of mine lol. Enjoy.Â
side note: here is a small continuation after this story
You needed a drink, something strong enough to forget about your growing workload that your paycheck no longer justified. With each new stack of paperwork that reached your desk, the resignation form became increasingly more appealing. You were drained by the time you clocked out at 6 pm, after having to attend 4 meetings throughout the day, all of which could have been a simple email.Â
âNo no, this company has good 401K matching, paid time off, and dental included. 401K and dental, 401K and dental.â You chanted to yourself, trying to steel your resolve against throwing your two weeks' notice in the face of your manager who has been pushing more and more of his work onto you.Â
All while having the gall to be flirty. As if that ugly gold band wasnât visible on his finger. Your cheeks hurt after having to hold your business professional smile for the past eight hours. The moment you stepped foot beyond those sliding glass doors, massaging your sore face with one hand.Â
âIt should be happy hour now, better get a spot at the bar now,â you thought as you took off your stiff blazer.Â
You swore one day youâll catch a cold from constantly subjecting your body to the dramatic shift of your tundra of an office to the sauna that was Sumeruâs climate. Ugh, stupid professional dress code, and stupid you for deciding to wear your new heels today. The back of your ankles felt raw despite the thin layer of your stockings reducing some of the chafing.
As the saying goes, thank god it was Friday, even though you couldnât take a half day like so many of your co-workers, you were just glad to finally be out of sight from your manager with wandering eyes.Â
Pushing in the wooden doors to the tavern, you were quickly engulfed in the busy hustle and bustling of servers delivering rounds of glasses to rowdy tables and the hearty drunk laughter of flushed faces.Â
âDamn, itâs this crowded already.â You felt your shoulders drop, âshould I just pick up some wine on the way home then?â Another sad weekend spent in your stuffy apartment, great.Â
Just as you were about to turn on your heels, you spotted a familiar flash of blond hair. Was that Kaveh? You squinted your eyes to focus on that spot of blond through the wave of patrons.Â
âHA! Iâm telling you there is no way that shrewd man got his position without some sort of shady dealing. I bet heâs got some dirt on some higher-ups.âÂ
Yep, that was definitely Kaveh, you immediately recognized that dramatic shrill in his voice. You heard it many times during your college days together, increasingly so whenever he had an architecture final due. He was at a large table, there seemed to be plenty of room for one more person. Swiftly, you made your way through the crowd to tap the blond man on the shoulder, disrupting him mid-rant.Â
âKaveh? Oh my god, it is you. Itâs been so long. Howâve you been?â You feigned surprise.Â
âOh? Oh!â His eyes lit up with recognition. âMy college savior! Howâve you been? Come, sit down and drink with us!âÂ
Score, youâve successfully secured a seat at the tavern. Thus, you avoided wallowing in self-pity alone on your beaten couch. You meet eyes with two unfamiliar faces, the trio seemed to have been setting up a game of cards before you joined, or before Kaveh began to rant about whatever he rants about.Â
After a quick round of introductions and placing your order for a glass of sweet wine, you were quickly acclimated to their conversation. Tighnari was a part of the research and development team, while Cyno was the head of company security ensuring no classified information gets leaked to competitors. Kaveh, you already knew was the star of the architecture design department.Â
It felt nice being able to relieve stress about redundant company policies and gossip, or at the very least it was entertaining to hear Kaveh whine nonstop about them.Â
âAh, I still just donât understand how that man got the position of head secretary. I swear he has it out for me, he refused to process my request for approval because âit was outside of his working hoursâ and because of that my project got delayed a whole week! There is no way he climbed the ranks with that work ethic!âÂ
You did not even have to ask who the subject of Kavehâs dismay was, it was quite obvious to the 3 of you at the table.Â
âJust because I can manage a healthy work-life balance, does not mean my work ethic is mediocre. My work hours are clearly posted outside of my office, it seems that literacy has decreased.â A husky voice rang out from just behind your chair.Â
You felt a slight shiver run up your neck, leaving a trail of goosebumps along its journey. He was here, the main antagonist in Kavehâs rants has finally shown his face.Â
âOh, âHaitham? Itâs rare to see you come out of your shell of books.â You looked over your shoulder at the towering man as he loosened his tie. Scooting a bit closer to Cyno, making more room for him to sit at the last seat.Â
âIt is a surprise to see you here as well, did Kaveh drag you out to play a game of cards⌠or perhaps did he want you to foot his tab.â Alhaitham gave the blond man a slight side-eye before returning his attention back to you.Â
âHey! I can hear you!â
âIt was intentional, couldnât you tell?âÂ
âYou-â
You let out a light giggle from behind your wine glass, noticing the sliver-haired manâs eyes turning back towards you.Â
âDid you want to sample a bit of the wine? Itâs sweet.â You offered your glass to him, hoping he didnât notice the slight shiver when his long fingers brushed against yours as he accepted it. You tried to keep your face as polite as possible, not allowing your eyes to wander down along his neck as he took a sip.Â
âNot bad,â he placed your glass back down in front of you. âBoss, this is good wine. I would have the same, please.â He turned his large body slightly as he called out to the tavern owner.Â
Allowing you to see just how well that button-down shirt fitted his form, the top button seemed to be holding on with all its strength.Â
âI thought we were all grown enough to not be entertained by mindless gossip,â Alhaitham remarked towards the table.Â
âNot at all, we were just curious about the raising star of the company,â Tighnari commented.Â
âThereâs nothing special to talk about, I just arrive and do the task I have to before I clock out.âÂ
âItâs a bit odd for a man that lacks ambition to land such a high role within a year.â Cyno followed up, his eyes holding a hint of suspicion.Â
â Itâs really nothing complicated. Iâve even rejected some promotions, the work of a secretary is simple, thatâs why I wish to keep things this way.âÂ
âAh, heâs humble-bragging now.â You hear the tan man beside you mutter as he crossed his arms.Â
You also couldnât help but feel the sting of jealousy as well. While you were proud of your childhood friend having success in his carrier, he advanced much faster than you even though you got a two-year head start.Â
âUgh, how did you stand this egomaniac for so long.â Kaveh harshly set his glass down, directing the question at you.Â
Seeing this as an opportunity to tone your childhood friend down a few, you couldnât help the slight grin that spread across your face.Â
âWell, heâs always been this way,â you swirled your glass, âI guess I just got used to it.âÂ
âMakes sense, attitudes like his tend to develop at tender ages.â Tighnari vouched.Â
âHe was so cute when he was younger. This man used to pull on my sleeve and beg me to read Aristotle to him.â You stole a quick glance over your wine glass.Â
âOh? You two go that far back?â Cyno inquired.Â
You hummed in confirmation as you took another sip, âI guess itâs partially my fault for not correcting him back then. But he used to have the chubbiest cheeks, I couldnât help but be swayed. Who wouldâve known that once that cuteness faded, all thatâs left is a mulish man.âÂ
You heard Alhaitham tsk in annoyance at your jabs, crossing his arms as he leaned back in his seat.Â
âClinging onto the past will serve no benefit towards the future. Frankly, itâs a foolish thought.âÂ
You hid the sting in your heart with a teasing smile, hoping that it reached your eyes as well. He was right, the past was gone and over with, with little to no bearings on the future. The same stood with your relationship, childhood friends, and nothing more.Â
Alhaitham had the looks, the stellar career, and was already a homeowner while being four years your junior. Even with your head start on life, it felt as if you were constantly behind him, trying to catch up. You knew one day heâll leave you in the dust, so it is for the best that you let go of this one-sided crush.Â
âOh? Then I guess Iâm released from that childhood pact then. How freeing.â You let out a slight laugh before taking a larger sip of your wine. You should probably order another glass, maybe two actually.Â
The stoic man raised an eyebrow at your statement, âand what do you mean by that.â
âAw, it looks like little âHaitham forgot,â you pouted. However, you could not let this opportunity to tease him slip away.Â
Setting down your glass, you turned to face everyone gesturing a hand toward Alhaitham. âYou see, when we were still children. He walked up to me with a flower and asked me to marry him when we grew up.âÂ
Instantly piquing the attention of everyone at the table.Â
âPfft, thereâs no way that happened.â Kaveh let out a hearty laugh, waving his hand as if dismissing that notion.Â
âBest believe it, he ignored me for a week when I told him no. Only âforgivingâ me after I gave him extra sweets and promised to think about it again in the future.â You supported your face with one hand.Â
âSo I guess you are to blame for his apatheticness? Traumatizing him so young? Iâm starting to sympathize with you, Alhaithamâ Tighnari scoffed.Â
âWell, I apologize for my shallow taste when I was a child. I used to dream of being carried off into the sunset in a white dress by my groom.â You dramatically sighed.Â
You mockingly patted Alhaithamâs arm, feeling the solid muscle hidden beneath the fabric tense up then relax at your sudden skinship.Â
âBefore he became an absolute tree, this guy used to be half my size and weight. Which is why I rejected him back then, I didnât want to crush my groom to death at our wedding.âÂ
Just what were your intentions when you brought up that childhood memory? Alhaitham was racking his mind, trying to pinpoint a motive, too distracted to be bothered by the snickering that permeated throughout the table.Â
Your hand, which still lingered on his arm, brought pulses of heat along his skin, the hair at the nape of his neck pricking up from the sensation.Â
âOn the topic of marriage, have you gotten any luck so far? Found anyone special yet?â Kaveh tucked his hands under his chin, as he rested his elbows on the crowded table.Â
âUgh, Kaveh, stop you sound like my fucking mother.â You brought your hand up to your temple. Alhaithamâs skin immediately craved your touch again.Â
âIâm taking that as a ânoâ then.â
âObviously, gosh, every time I go to visit my parents it turns into an interrogation of why I didnât come back with a ring on my finger.â You took another swig of your wine.Â
âIs that so?â Kaveh prodded, wanting the conversation to continue.Â
âHonestly, at this rate, I wonât be marrying for love. Iâll be marrying to shut my parents up.âÂ
âOh? And what would a husband candidate need? To be able to carry you off to the honeymoon?âÂ
âHar har har, Kaveh, very clever.âÂ
âOkay, now seriously.âÂ
âWell, obviously he needs to get along with my parents.âÂ
Just earlier this evening Alhaitham had responded to a message from your mother, telling him how thrilled they were to receive his housewarming gift basket. Your mother wishing that more young people were as considerate as he was towards his elders.Â
âAnd I would prefer someone attentive.âÂ
Alhaitham did not even have to think when ordering coffee for you. A mocha with two shots of expresso, oat milk, and an extra drizzle of chocolate syrup. When it gets closer to the holidays, you liked to add one pump of peppermint syrup.
He also takes note of how your words tend to get more graphic once there's alcohol in your veins.Â
âWhat about income, you want a man with 6 figures? 7?âÂ
âHa, if my husband made 7 figures Iâd run him a warm bath with rose petals, the house will be spotless, and have dinner set on the table at 7 oâclock sharp. A girl can dream, it would also mean I wonât have to see that ugly bastardâs face again.â
Roses were nice. However, lavender was much better for baths to relax the muscles. After 3 years Alhaitham was confident that he could renegotiate his salary. He knew that your organization skills violently oscillates between an absolute disaster to professional house cleaning service depending on how stressed you were. Your cooking though was always guaranteed to be delectable, 7 pm just so happened to be his preferred time for dinner.Â
Pause, wait a moment-
âHuh? Is your manager still bothering you? Isnât he already married? What a sleazebag.âÂ
âTell me about it,â you were rubbing your temples more aggressively. âIâve thought about staking my pen through his hand if he tried to place it on my shoulder again.âÂ
âWould you like me to file a report to HR?â Cyno looked over at you with concern and sincerity.Â
âThank you, but Iâve already tried. They said until there was hard evidence of such behavior they canât move on with an investigation.â
âUgh, itâs always HR protecting the top dogs once again. Seriously, Iâm not even from the same department but even I can feel that slimy gaze of his whenever he looks at you. Makes me want to burn my skin off in the shower, how you withstand that is beyond me.â Kaveh, rested one over his chair, dramatically making a face to show his disgust.Â
Your manager, yes, itâs been noted on several performance reports that his productivity has been on the decline. Perhaps, an additional report from Alhaitham about the suspicious disappearance of funds under your managerâs supervision would warrant a full-scale investigation.Â
That fool had his wife listed as his emergency contact, the ashen-haired man wondered if he would detail her husbandâs harassment of young women in his department to her.Â
âLetâs move on to a different subject, shall we? Iâd be damned if my Friday night is ruined by thoughts of that man.â You rubbed your thumb along the stem of your glass, a nervous habit of yours he noted.Â
And with that, the drinking continued to pour, as Cyno and Kaveh began a round of cards. If you werenât so distracted by Kavehâs theatrical whines of how Cyno should take an easy on him, you wouldâve seen the look that promised no good on Alhaithamâs face. Its true intentions are well hidden behind a stoic face.Â
âYou would think he would have learned his limit by now.â Alhaitham couldnât help but scoff at his housemate.Â
The blond was absolutely hammered, slurring his words as if they were some encrypted message. Upon seeing the state that Kaveh was in, everyone unanimously agreed to call it a night. Cyno and Tighnari supported him as Alhaitham went to the edge of a sidewalk to hail a cab.Â
âAre you not going to ride in the same taxi as Kaveh? Youâre both going to the same destination no?â You inquired, looking up at him after he gave the directions to his house and cash for the trip.Â
âAnd what, get puked on during the ride? Kaveh is a big boy now, Iâm sure heâll manage. BesidesâŚâ His teal eyes quickly trailed up your legs.
Your stockings accentuating the shape of your legs as they beckoned his attention towards that pencil skirt with a cheeky leg slit. Not revealing enough to be chastised as unprofessional, but oh so tempting.Â
âItâs more important that I see you get home safely. Now, come.â He turned his back towards you, heading in the direction of your apartment. Not wanting to be caught staring at you.Â
Throughout the walk the two of you were silent, but it was a calm silence that can only develop from a place of comfort and familiarity. The clicking of your heels and the taps of his dress shoes filled the air between you and him like a metronome. Alhaitham made sure to remind himself to match his pace with yours, lest his longer legs pull him far ahead of you.Â
--
Finally arriving at the entrance of your apartment complex, you swiped your keycard to unlock the heavy security door. Perhaps it was because of the alcohol in your system but it took all of your body weight to pry the metal door ajar. You felt a small hand on your back, stopping your pitiful attempt.Â
âYouâre going to strain your back, here, allow me.â Alhaithamâs voice was so close to your ear that you sore the vibrations tickled it.Â
Stepping aside, you allowed Alhaitham to grasp onto the side of the door as he swung the door open as if it weighed nothing. He took hold of the handle, meeting your eyes as he gestured you to enter. You felt a bit stupid for struggling so much with the door in front of him, so you quickly shuffled inside as he followed right behind you. Strolling through the lobby you finally arrived at the shiny doors of the elevator.Â
âWell, I guess this is goodnight.â You looked up at Alhaitham as you pressed the call button.Â
You heard the ding of the elevator arriving⌠only for the doors to not open.
 You pressed the button again, it dinged again, and again⌠then the light of the elevator flickered out. Great, just your luck, the elevator decided to break down now of all times. Further embarrassing you in front of Alhaitham. Even though his face remains stoic as ever, he probably thinks your place is shabby.Â
âHa ha, what a way to end a night. I guess Iâll be taking the stairs⌠You should call a cab to get back now.â You cringed a bit on the inside, why did you sound so awkward?Â
The stairwell door creaked open with all the grace of nails dragging down a chalkboard, the noise almost causing a headache to form as you begin your ascension up the gray stairs.Â
Only for your 6 flight journey to be halted at the second step as you stumbled. Once again, those new heels you were so excited to wear decided to rear their nasty face. Luckily, you were able to catch yourself on the solid hand railing. Sighing to yourself, you prepared to clutch onto it like a lifeline for the rest of your trek.Â
Suddenly your body felt weightless as two solid arms hoisted you up, and you felt your figure way too close to a warm, built frame.Â
âW-what are you doing??â Your hands were flailing as you did not know where to place them.Â
âQuiet, itâs past midnight and your voice is bouncing off the walls. Do you want a noise complaint?â
âThat wasnât my question! Haitham put me down I can walk!!â
âOh really? Did you seriously not notice how many times youâve been tripping and stumbling on your way back? Itâs safer for me to just carry you, unless you prefer tumbling down the stairs.âÂ
âN-no! I-âÂ
Alhaitham seems to be ignoring your plight as your slaps on his shoulder and arms elicited no reaction. His firm grip on your body did not let up as he effortlessly ascended the stairs, even shifting your weight a bit when he went to open the door to your floor.Â
You were stone-cold sober at this point but your face was hot and flushed when Alhaitham finally placed you back down on your own feet at your apartment door.Â
You couldnât muster up the courage to thank him let alone even look at him, in case he sees the obvious red tint on your cheeks. Keys fumbling in your hands as you tried to line it with the keyhole, a small click and turn of the brass knob has your apartment ajar.Â
What do you do now? Is this the final goodbye for tonight? Should you take a cold shower to purge these overwhelming emotions?Â
âUm⌠would you like to come inside for a glass of water?â You spoke those words before you could think it through. Great, you just prolonged your suffering, great job.Â
âSure.â And much to your dismay Alhaitham agreed.Â
His teal eyes lazily observed the plush throw pillows on your sofa along with the soft blanket hastily thrown over the back of it. Alhaitham could hear you bustling in the kitchen as you prepared a glass of ice water for him.Â
In stark contrast to his own walls, yours was crowded with many photos like a timeline of your life. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he observed a photo strip taped onto the side of your college graduation portrait.
It was a cheap strip of laminated plastic from some mall photo booth, but your smile was radiant as you had one hand squeezing his face trying to get the stone-faced boy to crack a smile.Â
âHere, itâs on the house.â You clinked the frosty glass onto the coaster in front of him.Â
He felt the sofa dip a bit more as you plopped your body on the other side, letting out a content sigh, probably finally being able to feel your feet again. He knew those heels caused you great discomfort, but he almost wished for another glimpse.Â
âThank you.âÂ
Once more a comfortable silence encased the air between the two of you. Somewhere along the line, your hand found its way to his gray locks, gently running your fingers along his scalp.Â
âWhat shampoo do you use, âHaitham? Your hair is always so soft and voluminous. Iâm kinda jealous.â He heard the amused quip in your voice.Â
He both yearned and despised whenever you pet his head. As your fingers continued to rake through his ash hair he couldnât help the rush of blood that flowed south. Yet, a pang of annoyance was felt in his chest. âYou still thought of him as a kidâ was the message he decrypted from your actions.Â
âWhichever brand is closest to me at the store. Or whichever bottles Kaveh left in the shower.â Alhaitham leaned a bit more into your touch.
âTsk, of course.â He could hear the smile in your voice.Â
There was no end benefit to be gained from his feelings towards you. In fact, his life wouldâve been so much easier if only his brain didnât release dopamine the moment he hears the slightest mention of you.Â
As a person who prides himself on his objectivity and factuality, he could not explain why you were an outlier that skews his rationality.Â
The peaceful moment was shattered by the sudden pierce of your ringtone, the name that flashed across the screen caused Alhaithamâs eyes to narrow.Â
Manager Kimiya
The manager who has been the source of your frustrations, evident by your conversation back at the bar. Why was he calling you this late? Alhaitham observed the grimace on your face as you quickly retracted your hand from his hair, picking up the phone as you excused yourself back to the kitchen.Â
Why were you answering his call?Â
You were speaking in a rather hushed voice, even with Alhaitham straining his ears to try and hear just what was so important to warrant a phone call so late at night.Â
âYes, of courseâŚ. No⌠I see⌠okay⌠yes⌠I understand⌠yes, goodnight to you as well.âÂ
Before Alhaitham could stop himself, he found his form behind yours at the kitchen counter as you finally ended your call. Frown present at the corners of your lips.Â
âWhy did he contact you this late?âÂ
Your body flinched in surprise. Ah, so you did not even notice his presence behind you. As his teal eyes stared down at your smaller frame, he could feel the clawing of a green-eyed monster tugging against the restraints Alhaitham so carefully bounded it in.Â
âNo reason, just work stuff⌠mostly.âÂ
Mostly? Alhaitham pushed down at the monster, trying to bottle the disgusting foreboding envy.Â
âWhy did you answer?âÂ
âI just told you, Haitham. Itâs for work.âÂ
Alhaithamâs teeth ground against each other as he clenched his jaw. The monster was thrashing around violently.Â
âYou didnât have to answer.âÂ
Your eyes closed in annoyance as you opened your mouth, a snarky reply ready to be thrown his way. Only for it to be stuck on the tip of your tongue as Alhaithams arms grasped the counter at either side of you. Pinning you between the cold granite top and his towering frame.Â
âAre you interested in him?â There was a dangerous edge to his low voice.Â
âDid you have too much to drink?â You whipped around in disbelief, annoyance dripping from your tone.Â
Your face was very close to his, nose almost touching, breaths brushing against each otherâs lips.Â
âAnswer the question.â His voice deepened further, a dark glaze over his eyes.Â
âI donât.â You narrowed your eyes at him, inching your face closer as if to prove a point.Â
Alhaithamâs restraint of the beast began to slip. He needed a moment to grasp back onto it, to regain control. No, he could not wait any more, not one second longer.
 It was as if all the past decade's worth of pinning that kept him up at night came rushing out. Bursting through the walls that Alhaitham spent years building to contain them.Â
It all rushed out in a messy, heated, and disgusting wave that washed over him and drowned his rationality as he slammed his lips into yours. Capturing the soft flesh into an all-consuming kiss. It was ugly, yet it felt so beautiful. So all consumingly beautiful.Â
Your brain was trying its best to regain itself as you recovered from the whiplash, you were kissing Alhaitham. His larger frame pushes your body up against the kitchen counter, cold stone pressing up against your burning skin. His tongue brushed against your lips hungrily, asking out of courtesy for permission. Your lips parted, allowing him access as your fingers tangled into the hair at the nape of his neck.Â
It was almost animalistic the way he devoured the air from your lungs, your head began to float as pleasure trailed up your spine. You harshly tugged at his ashen hair to break the near-airtight lock your lips were tangled in.Â
Barely getting two much-needed breaths in as your eyes connected with lustful teal before lips clashed once more. You tasted the sweet wine that still lingered on his tongue, the sweet taste of crossing a dangerous line.Â
Alhaitham released your lips then dived back into trail kisses from your glistening lips to down your face and neck. A pleased whimper escaped as you titled your head to the side, allowing him more access to your sensitive spots.Â
You now had two arms thrown around his neck, back arching as his large hands began to rub your thigh over the thin fabric of your stockings. The heat from his palms and the friction creeping up to your core. You felt the suction of his mouth against your neck causing you to press your chest more into his as you whined.Â
Two hands firmly gripped onto each of your legs then harshly parted them, allowing for Alhaithamâs solid torso to press up against your pulsing core. You couldnât help the slight roll of your hips against his abs, your poor cunt begging for a crumb of attention.
The air was too hot, tension too thick, Your skirt now all bunched up as his fingers skillfully unbuttoned your shirt. You replicated his actions as you clumsily groped at his chest to locate the buttons of the dress shirt, your senses graced by the plushness of his pectorals.Â
It was animalistic the way Alhaitham was claiming your skin with his kisses, every now and then marking the tender flesh of your breast and neck. âFuck, how can simple kisses feel so goodâ was the thought running through your hazy mind, pressing his head more against you. A hardness making itself known against your neglected wetness. Excitement spiking up inside you.Â
âWrap your legs around me.â He commanded.Â
You obediently did so, locking your ankles together behind his back, intentionally rubbing your cunt against his trapped erection. Alhaitham straightened his posture as he scooted your bottom off the counter, large hands digging into the flesh of your ass then firmly squashing your core against hardness.Â
The sudden movement causes you to let out a gasp. He shot you a look, warning that he did not have the patience to be teased.Â
Effortlessly he carried you into the bedroom, kisses still desperately being exchanged the entire time. Tossing you onto your messy sheets, he took a moment to admire how absolutely wrecked you looked. Cheeks flushed red, lips glossy from mixed saliva, eyes teary yet burning with desire. If you looked like this from simple kisses, he couldnât wait for what youâd look like during the main event.
With you now on your back, more vulnerable, it gave him the opportunity to finally strip the blouse off your body, exposing more of your skin. Feeling a tug at his shirt.Â
âYou tooâŚâÂ
When you asked so shyly with those pouty lips, how could Alhaitham refuse? A silent game began, as for every piece of clothing one shed, the other would follow. Your bra, his belt, your skirt, and his slacks were now littered across your floor. Hands greedily groping at each other's flesh, a large hand cupping your breast as your hand dipped to rub his bulge through his boxers.Â
âExcited?â Your confidence was boosted when you felt a small wet patch on the fabric.Â
âYouâre one to talk.â He scoffed.Â
Hand releasing your breast to grope the contour of your pussy through your ruined panties. Harshly pressing against your eager clit, a moan tumbled out of your mouth. Alhaitham dropped his head right next to yours, baritone voice against your ear,
âSee, you even soaked through your stockings. Just how wet are you?âÂ
Long fingers began to trace along the slit of your cunt, lazily rubbing a circle on your clit before tracing back down. Your legs wanted to clamp down on his cruel hand but with his body pinning you down it was impossible. The message was clear, you were at his mercy.Â
âWhat do you want?âÂ
A simple question he asked you, but your pride would not let you answer. That bastard knows what you want, your cunt was practically sobbing for something to be buried deep in it. But he still continued his slow, torturous movement, eyes locked on your expression. You faced away from him, unable to handle the intense glaze on your flushed face.Â
âEyes on me.â His other hand squished your cheeks as he turned your face back.Â
Teal and orange eyes piercing into yours, you wanted to protest, he was being so mean. His perfect face only had a slight flush, while you were certain yours was a mess. Alhaitham must have sensed this as he nudged his thumb into your mouth, letting it rest against your pink tongue.Â
âCome now, use your words. What do you want?âÂ
Pride be damned, the burning sensation between your legs overtook your reasoning as his other hand was now harshly circling your sensitive bud.Â
âY-you.â You moaned around his thumb.Â
A smug look was now plastered on his handsome face, you werenât sure if you wanted to slap it or pull him into another kiss.Â
âGood girl.â Looping his fingers into the waistband of your stockings, harshly tugging them down the length of your legs.Â
He definitely ripped them, but your brain was too busy processing the words he just called.Â
Shifting your body more onto the bed, he pried your legs open, giving him a direct view of your drenched panties. Snapping back into reality and suddenly now worried about your modesty you reached a hand down as if to shield your desire from his observant eyes. A quick slap to your hand echoed through the room.Â
âItâs a bit late to be embarrassed now.â The same hand pushed the ruined fabric to the side before a long, thick finger was thrusted inside.Â
Your head jerked back at the sudden intrusion, barely being able to bite back a moan. Your aching cunt now had a taste of what it craved so desperately, but now it only craved more. Something thicker, longer, heavier. It wanted more even as Alhaitham slipped another finger in with minimal resistance. Scissoring the digits inside of you, exploring deep inside as slick drooled out.Â
You tried to suppress your moans by biting down on the thumb that still lingered in your mouth. He sucked a breath through his teeth at your actions.Â
âBe nice.â He ordered, tearing his thumb out of your mouth at the same time as his fingers from your cunt.Â
His two fingers coated in your juices were then shoved into your gaping mouth, giving you a taste of yourself. Wordlessly you maneuvered your tongue against his fingers, cleaning the slick from the thick digits. His cock twitched when he felt you welcome his fingers deeper into the gummy walls of your mouth.
Alhaitham wanted to play with you more, to tease your clit and pussy until it was swollen and soaking the sheets below. However, right now, he did not have the patience as the length in his boxers raged angrily. Perhaps, if his plan goes well he can save that desire for another time.Â
He chuckled to himself, this is what you do to him, you turn him into a man so consumed by lust he would not even stretch you out with good foreplay. Your cunt felt wet enough, he could see how drops of slickness were trailing onto the sheets, you were ready for him. Finally releasing his member out of its confinement, he let out a small hiss that the feeling of his sensitive head rubbing along your slick folds.Â
âWait,â you got up on your elbow as another hand pressed against his toro, halting his movement.Â
You swiftly reached over to your nightstand, digging through to find the box of condoms. You took a foil package out, turning back to Alhaitham you handed it to him. You did your best not to look at his member, but it was hard to when it was just that intimidating. On lonely nights, there were times you imagined what that tall, buff body hid beneath the layers.Â
âWould the condom even go over it?â you wondered as Alhaitham stiffly ripped open the foil. Fortunately, the condom was able to encase his length, you patted yourself on the back for getting the variety pack.Â
âHeh,â Alhaithamâs hands grasped the sides of your hips. âYou were prepared.âÂ
It couldâve been your imagination, but his calm tone felt forced. Almost as if he was angry, but Alhaitham never got angry at you.Â
âWhatâs the ma- AH!â
The concern died in your throat when the entirety of his length was thrusted into you. Your cunt clenching around him, not wanting to let go of the deep satisfaction of finally being full. Alhaitham let a quiet moan through his clenched teeth, pulling out halfway then snapping his hips back into yours.
Your hands desperately latched onto your sheets, twisting and pulling the fabric to try and ground yourself. The stretch had you stumbling over your words, never had you felt this full. He felt so heavy inside of you, deliciously dragging against your quivering walls. Â
Alhaitham followed the intrusion with a few slow thrusts, the squelch of your cunt welcoming his length sounded through the heavy air. The grip on your hips turned unyielding as his pace shifted, his hips settling on a punishing pace against your poor masochistic cunt. Moans leaving your lips without regard for your neighbors.Â
âWere you expecting this tonight?â He ended his sentence with an especially deep thrust.Â
You barely heard him over the wet slapping of skin, mind focused on how good it felt when his tip rammed into that one spot. Alhaitham noticed how your cunt contracted when he hit a particular place, quickly angling his hips to strike your weakness again, then again, and again. Each time he did you would let out a cry, tongue lulling out of your mouth. At this point, his fingers are for sure leaving purple marks.Â
âIs that why you were at the bar?â He continued.Â
The green-eyed monster clawed its way up inside him, if he had not gone to the bar earlier by chance, would you have shown this sinful face to someone else?
A voice at the back of his mind called for him to take you lovingly, to slow his pace, to caress your face with his hands and kisses. But the voice of the beast whispered in his ear to ruin you, use you to further his own pleasure, to pound the shape of his length into you. Yes, perhaps if he did that then no other man could ever satisfy you.Â
âSo, who did you plan to take home?âÂ
He thrusted his tip deeper, you swore it was hitting your cervix now. Breast bouncing along with his violent pace. A thumb dug into your swollen clit suddenly causing you to throw your head back as your mind came dangerously close to the edge of sanity. A delicious tension begins to form in your core.
âAnswer. The. Question.â Each word was followed by a harsh thrust, as your bud was pinched between his two fingers.Â
âAh- ah!â Was the only reply you could muster.Â
Alhaitham stilled his motion deep inside of you, heavy, thick member resting right up against your cervix. Fingers now cruelly rolling your abused clit in its grasp, making your toes curl and back arch.Â
He could feel your walls convulsing around him, begging for more of his punishing thrusts, not wanting the tension to dissipate. But he didnât want to give that to you, not until you give him what he wanted.Â
âWho. Who are you thinking of? Are you imagining being pinned down like this by them?âÂ
Your lust-hazed eyes looked into his with confusion, brain barely able to string together a coherent thought to process his question. As if he asked you the most elaborate philosophical question.Â
Even with your mind nearly liquefied by the heat of pleasure and vision blurred from tears, the self-loathing in his eyes was obvious. Releasing the sheets from your iron grip, you cupped his face as you pulled him into a soft kiss. The first of the night.Â
âY-you ah!â You moaned against his lips.Â
His hand stilled for a moment, then quickly regained its pace rolling the bundle of nerves. His lips chased after yours, shallowing your moans as he pinned your body more into the mattress.Â
âSay it, confirm it.â A trail connecting your lips as he pulled away.Â
âAlh-ah! Alhaitham!âÂ
A switch was flipped as his hips sprang back into motion, the push and pull rocking the bed as your hands found refuge on his broad shoulders. The tension only grew in your core with every blow against your weak spot in tandem with the circles he was grinding into your bud.Â
âAlhaitham! A-ah Alhai-yes, right there!â Shamelessly moaning out his name like you did on those desperate nights with your own fingers.Â
Your toes were curling painfully from the pleasure currently engulfing your entire body, your cunt full and hair a mess. Arching your body more into his solid figure as his unforgiving pace continued to abuse your grateful walls.
The wet slooshing of your slick as your hole welcomed his member over and over again no longer embarrassed. You were growing close, the ball of tension in your core was so close to snapping, you wanted sweet release so badly.Â
âP-please! Ah! Please!â You begged for him to let you fall into cloud nine.Â
Quickly understanding your plead, Alhaitham continued his the motion of his hips, making sure to strike that spot with more force as his thumb rubbed your clit faster. He dipped his head down to kiss along the edge of your tear stained face. The sensation of his teeth sinking into your neck was the catalysis that finally pushed you off the edge.Â
Your body pressed itself taught against his, walls clamping down like a vise around his member as the orgasm ripped through your body. Strangled moans against his ears as your vision turned white.Â
He removed his thumb from your clit, now even redder and swollen, as he bit more into your neck, the sensation of your walls trying to milk him dry almost brought him over as well. However, he couldnât let it end so fast, not when he had fantasized about this moment for years.Â
He forced himself to drag himself out against the tight grip of your walls, then used his body weight to thrust back into you to continue with his rhythm. He felt his own release approaching as he stared at how your eyes were rolled to the back of your head.Â
âWould you notice if I were to rip the condom off?â He wondered as you were still on cloud nine, but your body still responding to his moves.Â
âWould you even care? Would you want it too?â The thought of painting your walls in white and watching as your cunt drank up his thick cum filled him with a dark desire.Â
He wanted to fill you with his essence, to claim you as fully his from the inside out, to steep into every fiber of your being. His hands found purchase on your hips again as he pinned your frame below him, thrusting deeper than he had ever before into you as he spilled himself into the latex.
His body shook against yours as he panted from the exertion.Â
The creaking of the bed stopped as Alhaitham pulled back to press sweet kisses to your temple, coaxing your consciousness back to reality. Using his fingers to wipe away the tears that still leaked from your eyes, as your pupils came back into view. Returning from their trip at the back of your head. There was a moment of stillness, as pants echoed through the air, breaths overlapping and caressing another.Â
You felt him shift, pulling his length fully out from your gummy walls. Your cunt clentched at the sudden emptiness. You watched as he grabbed a few tissues from your night stand, then proceeded to roll the filled condom off, disposing it into the paper.Â
You shut your eyes, chest still heaving at the exertion you had just put your body through.Â
The sound of condoms shaking against their cardboard box made your eyes snap back open. As you watched the ashen haired man shamelessly pull another foil package out of the container.Â
Oh⌠The night was still young.Â
--
The bright and pitched chirping of the birds outside stirred you from your slumber. Oh god, your hips were so sore, you questioned whether or not you would make it out of bed.Â
Two arms firmly encompassed your waist, pressing your back against the warm source of the pain in your hip.Â
As much as you hated to admit it, Alhaitham looked angelic when he was asleep. Usual stone face now relaxed and soft, the sunlight drawing blurred shapes along his skin and hair through your curtains.Â
You wanted to brush the hair out of his peaceful face, fingers reaching out then freezing as the reality of last night hit you.Â
You two had crossed the bold line that was drawn in the sand, now standing the cold ocean of the unknown. The questions of what your relationship had turned into violently crashed into you like unforgiving waves as you feel yourself beginning to drown in self-doubt.Â
Was this a one-time thing? A closeness you will never experience with him ever again? Was this the final chapter of the story of you and Alhaitham? Did you ruin years of trust and friendship?
 The questions began to become overwhelming, you needed to get up, to just get somewhere to clear your mind.Â
Slowly your tried to shimmy yourself out of his firm hold, carefully trying not to rouse him from his slumber. Only for your plan to come crashing down as his arms tightened around you, halting your motion.Â
âStay.â An uncharacteristic softness present in his tone.Â
You stilled your body, heart pounding so hard against your chest you were certain Alhaitham could feel it too. Just like how you could feel the rhythmic beating of his against your back.Â
His deep breaths brushed against your neck as he buried his face into the crook. Tension now hung in the air, but who was going to be the first to break it? Mustering up all the courage you could gather,Â
âAlhaith-â
âI found you a nuisance when I was first introduced to you.â He began.Â
You felt your heart sink at his confession, but he continued.Â
âThe way you dragged me out to play, fed me snacks, and especially when you pet my head. I found it all annoying⌠It was annoying because it would cause me heart palpitations, my breath would hitch, and my face would flush. I thought I had caught a sickness from you, a sickness that made me addicted to your presence.âÂ
Your heart was now jumping as if it wanted to burst from your chest, he buried his face deeper into your neck.Â
âThen one day I read a book that detailed my exact symptoms. Do you know what the diagnosis was? Love - an intense, deep affection for another person. That day when I proposed with that small weed, I discovered that I was in love with you.âÂ
You froze, almost not believing your own ears.Â
âWell of course back then I did not meet your qualifications. I hoped that the sickness would disappear. No actually, I used to pray to gods I donât believe in that they would take you out of my head, where you always seemed to haunt . They must have cursed me because as time moved on, my illness just got worse. It began to border on mania, madness. So, please listen.âÂ
He turned your body in his arms so that you were staring right into his eyes, a hopeful and sincere glimmer present in the saturated teal. Â
âI love you, I adore you, I wish to wake up every morning to you in my arms just like this. I want to walk through life hand in hand with you. Your parents hold me in high regard. I will get a mocha with two shots of expresso, oat milk, and extra chocolate syrup every morning for you, I can even learn to make it. If you are worried about finances, if this company doesnât agree to my raise by the end of two years I will search for another position that will.âÂ
His fingers intertwined with yours as he brought your knuckles up to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of your hand.Â
âAnd I am confident in my ability to carry you no matter what wedding dress you dawn. So do I meet your qualifications now?âÂ
His teal eyes looked into yours, yearning for your answer. Your eyes were wide and lips frozen. You were waiting to wake up in your messy sheets alone, fully clothed, and for the other side of the bed to be cold. This had to be a dream, this couldnât be real.Â
However, the hot tears that clouded your vision and dripped down your cheeks felt too real to be an illusion. The look of adoration in his eyes was too genuine to be conjured up by your pitiful imagination.Â
âCould we⌠Could we take this slowly?â You whispered, squeezing his hands.Â
âOf course. Iâve waited for over sixteen years, I can wait a little longer.âÂ
You buried your flushed face into his chest, he let your wet tears soak into his skin as he kissed the crown of your head. Embracing each other as if the other could disappear.
âI love you too.âÂ

Fluff, Bakugou x fem reader
Part 1 of 2
âYouâre kidding.â Â
âWhy would I be kidding?â His tone had shifted. You could hear his brows and eyes furrowing at the strangled laugh you had shakily exhaled.Â
âHow did you find out?â He had to be fucking with you.Â
âUm, the mission briefing...like usual?â Â
âWhat?â Shit, so he wasnât fucking with you. You blinked away tears of frustration already threatening to leak into your voice. Stupid.Â
âHuh?â Â
âSo, youâre really leaving?â Â
âHave to, beautiful.â Â
âBut...âÂ
âYea, I know. Iâll miss you too.â His tone was getting softer with every awkward response you choked out.Â
âNo, I mean...â You let the words trail off. It wouldnât be the first time heâd forgotten the meaning behind this quickly approaching date. Your brain couldnât even craft a way to bring it up without whining. You couldnât do it. âJust be safe, okay?âÂ
âThe hell do ya think I am? Iâm always safe.âÂ
âSafer than your version of safe, please.â Your tone was firm as it delivered the familiar words, a ritual every time he left for a mission.
The memory of the first time youâd made the request came to you easily. He was in the doorway of your office, backing out, bumping his wide shoulders into the frame as he failed to smoothly exit. Red spread across the skin directly below his mask. You had thought you had overstepped, maybe he was upset that you questioned his performance. Your head had tiled to the side in confusion when instead he only said, âYes, maâam.â He landed a smack against the head of the blonde hero snickering behind him as he walked off, mumbling something about shutting up. Â
âMmm.â You smiled. Maybe he was thinking of that day too. Â
ââMmmâ isnât a promise.âÂ
âIâll be back before Saturday. Promise.âÂ
âBack with all the parts you left with.âÂ
âYa gonnaâ love me less if I donât?â His words were obviously being spoken through a smile now, or a smirk more likely.Â
âDepends on what you lose.â A part of you melts at the chuckle let loose in your ear. Â
âBullshit.âÂ
âMhmm.â Youâre quick to agree but want to hear him laugh again. âIf you come back hurt, Iâll just kick your ass for not listening to me.âÂ
âWhat if I come back without an ass?â His laugh is cut short as you hear a familiar voice inform him how that would be highly unlikely to count as coming back safe. The tone on the other end gets harsher as he tells the man with him to mind his damn business. You roll your eyes at the familiar sounds of bickering bubbling between the two heroes. You pull Katsukiâs attention back to you as you catch the sound of Dekuâs mediating attempts only pacifying Todoroki. Â
âDonât you have a flight to catch?âÂ
âYea.â You quirk an eyebrow at the leftover hostility worming its way into his conversation with you. He hears it too, coughing back to a gentler version before he continues. âIâll see you Saturday, beautiful.âÂ
âSee you Saturday.â Your words fall forward in a mumble towards the screen already reminding you that youâd ended the call. Fuck. Fuck.Â
âFuck.âÂ
You rolled your head forward; thankful it was still early enough in the day to start making all the calls youâd need to. You did a few of those dumb square breaths that your therapist swore by. It was annoying that it helped. A feline reminiscent stretch was the only other action you took before opening the most frequently used document saved on your phone. The twinge of regret at the sight of the bright orange header was promptly shoved aside as you began scrolling down to the vendorsâ contact info. By the third call, you had quite a script ready to go as soon as someone picked up: Hello, sorry to bother you right before closing. I actually have you guys booked for the event tomorrow night. Thereâs been a change of plans and I would like you to deliver the (whatever they were in charge of) to (whatever organization could use it) as a donation instead of delivering anything to the venue. After that, it was always a short confirmation of details before you dialed the next number on the list. Â
The biggest loss was the venue...no, that was wrong. The biggest loss was not being able to get Bakugouâs birthday right AGAIN. You really werenât sure anymore if the blame was with you or the universe or maybe Bakugou was a villain whose only agenda was to thwart your birthday attempts. Well, you were pretty sure it was you, but it was way past ridiculous at this point. His birthday had been a disaster or disaster adjacent every year since youâd started dating. Â
There was the first one where you got flustered when he had the audacity to go for the first kiss, getting you flustered enough to drop his gift, a very not waterproof limited edition and vintage All Might card, off the bridge and into the river. The next involved a mistake where you accidentally had Kirishima drop him off at the wrong address...not realizing there were two locations for the restaurant you two had your first date at. The one after, you ended up hospitalized for just a few days, missing his birthday completely because your dumb ass didnât wake up in time. Although he technically had spent it with you, you just werenât conscious. You both had work the one after that, so not really your fault on that one. But you did forget his present at the office and so ended up giving it to him the day after, so that part was your fault.Â
He was always annoyingly understanding about the trouble you ended up causing on the one day every year that you wanted to be the least troublesome. He would just laugh it off, thanking you for an unforgettable day. Heâd call you cute or sweet or a menace. Heâd say his birthday wasnât anything to stress about. Â
His words would be so much easier to accept if he didnât seem to feel differently when it came to your birthday. He never gave a gift late or damaged or less than perfect. He never messed up the date or time or location. He never forgot any part of his plans or goals for the day. It was always irritatingly more than what you wouldâve imagined or expected. Not that birthdays were a contest, but...if they were, you were fucking losing badly. Â
You slid your phone further across the counter after your last call. This was supposed to be the year you got it right. Youâd even enlisted a dangerous amount of help for a surprise party: Kirishima to keep Bakugou from finding out, the head assistant at their agency to get the scheduling information just right, Mina was charged with the guest list, Kaminari and Sero were assigned the entertainment (with final approval from you after a near x-rated disaster). You even had Midoriya help you decide on a present. Â
Everything was finally going to be perfect. You were so determined. You had even stupidly begun to feel safe in your victory. The party was supposed to be tomorrow. And now, he wouldnât be back for nine days. Fuck. Fuck. Â
âFuck.âÂ
You pawed at your phone again, sending a quick text to Mina so she could notify the guests of the cancellation. You were already exhausted from the last half hour of calls and just wanted to crawl into the bed that was now dumber and colder and emptier than it was supposed to be. Before burrowing, you sent âcode yellowâ to the One Brain Cell group chat, following the ridiculous list of emergency code phrases made up by Kaminari. You didnât think youâd end up using them, but here you were. Â
You then finally set your phone aside for real, pretending to set the urge to sulk along with it. This was part of the job. He was needed and that was a priority...helping people should come first (and it always did). Even if a selfish part of you, that seemed to get louder every time he was called away, wanted nothing more than to convince him to stay. The man you were in love with wouldnât just give up his purpose or his morals like that. Not even for you. It was admirable. As a hero, you loved and respected that. As his girlfriend, it made you feel more jealous and selfish than you would ever admit. Â
You would just have to not suck next year. Â

Operation Apollo | 2.8 | Jake Seresin x Reader (18+)
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter | Masterlist
Synopsis: After a threat is made against her life, the Presidentâs grown up daughter gets her security tripled. Ex-Navy and current Secret Service, Jake Seresin is devoted to being the best at everything he does. He isnât going to let a bratty little girl cost him this job.
Warning: age gap, power imbalance, enemies to lovers, danger and angst, manipulation, sucky parents, grief and manipulation, lying, distressing themes throughout but especially towards the end of the chapter. Graphic violence, dangerous situations, revenge, wc: 3.5k
For as long as you can remember, you had known that your father was going to be president. It was always discussed as a given. It was the coup de grace; he had been working towards it much longer than you had even been alive.
Those fourteen hour work days, and sleepless nights. The hard decisions and the time away from his family. All along, Matthew had sworn that it would be worth it. It would, one day, be enough.
Then, the first set of polls came in after those primary debates the summer before his first election run and with it, intel that Matthew plunged a sixth of his savings in to. Politics and bribery go hand in hand across most of the world; this wasnât even the first step off of the beaten path.Â
The intel was clear as day; It wasnât enough. It wouldnât be enough. All of that time, and work, and desperation that he poured into his career, it wasnât going to be enough to win him the presidency. The guarantee was next to nil.
But there was still time.
He remembers one evening, in particular, sitting with his advisors in his home office, and just sobbing. Every birthday he had missed, every milestone â it was all going to be for nothing.Â
âLook, Matt,â Arnie had said, stubbing his thin rolled cigarette out into a crystal ashtray and sitting back in the leather arm chair, sinking into it like the lazy waste of space that he was. He was a good friend of the family back then. âThereâs still time. Weâve got options, buddy. Plenty of âem.âÂ
Matthew had rolled his neck back slowly â he still remembers the stress-induced stiffness those days had caused him â and pinched the bridge of his nose.
âYeah, Arnie? â And what options are those?â It was a biting remark, untrusting and downright hateful by that point. Arnie had promised many things already, and rarely had delivered. On the times that Matthew thinks back to his twenty year friendship with Arnold Paulson, he finds himself glad that that asshole now resides six feet under.
The older guy had just shrugged, letting that snide little smile creep across his face. âI know a guy. I think he might be able to, uh⌠help you out. For a fee, if you get where Iâm coming from.â
Ellis Armstrong. After three days, and more phone calls than you care to remember, you have a name. Heâs a business-man, and a rather successful one at that. Works in corporate development â heâs not hidden from the public eye like you would expect a guy like this to be.
No, heâs got thirteen offices spanning three continents and a portfolio that would put the Forbes list to shame. Once upon a time, he had been a friend of the family. Itâs easy to piece together the headshot of him sitting at the wide, mahogany desk in his new office and the fuzzy memories of the tall man in your fatherâs office late at night.
You remember him distinctly. The sound your bare feet had made, tiptoeing down that long, curving staircase in the old house. Far past your bedtime, your princess nightgown grazing your ankles. The halls dark, illuminated by lights pouring out from under doors. The house was never really empty back then. Pushing open the heavy pocket doors that separated your fatherâs office from the parlour.Â
The gaunt, tall blond man sitting in the armchair. His sunken eyes that had seemed so dark in the dimly lit room. His thin lips and hollow cheeks. The long, straight nose and the deep lines between his brows. Skeletal and still, he had looked like a monster. Something that belongs in the dark, lurking in wait.Â
âWhat are you doing up, princess?â Matthew had scooped you off of your feet and suddenly you were looking at him instead, in all of the warmth and glory and familiarity of a man adored by his little girl.Â
âI couldnât sleep.â You remember, but itâs hazy now. You donât remember the softer, higher pitch of your voice or really what had made the man in the chair quite so scary looking, or what had driven you out of the safety of your bed that night.Â
Thereâs a fondness to his smile in those hazy memories, a softness to his touch that feels so far away now. The stars and unicorns on your bedsheets, and the stuffie he had tucked under your chin. The safety of your childhood bedroom, with the warm pink glow of your nightlight and the embrace of your stuffed animal. How far away the fear of that man in the chair had felt once your father had kissed the top of your head and closed your door.
It doesnât just feel far away, it is far away â everything about it. Your parents no longer own that house, youâve long outgrown that bed and that stuffed animal ended up in the donate pile after one of your big moves. Youâre no longer hiding from the scary man sitting in the armchair; youâre looking for him.
âI donât understand,â You do, but showing your cards has never been part of your strategy. The woman opposite you forces her creasing mouth into a deeper frown as she pulls her coffee cup protectively closer. âTell me, exactly, what you remember about your time working for my father.â
If Allen knew where you were, he would skin you alive. If Manny knew, he would be right here with you. If Jake knew, you wouldnât be here at all. He would have locked you in a hallway closet before he let you set something like this up.Â
The woman sitting opposite you is a timid little redhead with big brown eyes and a disposition that brings new clarity to the term âafraid of her own shadowâ. Sheâs jumpy, and looking over her shoulder constantly. You, are considerably cooler for a person more alone than they have been in more than a decade.
Her name is Ida â she was your fatherâs personal assistant the year before his first election, and it cost you to even get her to this cafe in Pasadena. You remember the long skirts and the narrow glasses, but you donât remember Ida being quite so⌠afraid.
âHe wasnâtâ he isnât a bad man, darling. Thatâs what you have to understand, itâs just thatââ
âIda, slow down.â You bite, growing tired of this. You donât have long before someone notices that youâre gone, if they havenât already. The sky outside is grey, and sullen, the cafe is almost empty for now but the lunch rush is approaching. âThis isnât about whether heâs a good guy or not. Tell me where Ellis Armstrong comes into this.â
Sitting opposite you, the mouse-like womanâs eyes turn wide like saucers as she shrinks down further into her seat, wringing her hands into the checked fabric of her skirt.
âHe wasnât going to win the election by himself. There was intel out there that⌠painted him in a bad light.â
âDetails, Ida.â You click the pen and stare across at her impatiently. She swallows softly and checks around her again.
âYour father had an affair. It was all going to come out â it would have tanked any kind of campaign he could have put together, and you remember what times were like then⌠the kind of money it would have taken to make that go awayâŚâ The coffee mug in front of her scalds her trembling hands as she finally lifts her chin enough for you to look her in the eye. Raindrops start to beat into the sidewalk outside. A silence sets across the coffee shop as the soft indie playlist stops between tracks.
If you were still little, padding barefoot along the hall in your princess nightdress, this would have hurt so badly. The warm smile and his gentle disposition â and he was already betraying you, even then. Youâre not little now. It doesnât hurt like it would have then. You scrawl messily across the page.
âWhat was her name, who did she work for?â
Ida pauses briefly, blinking. Truthfully, she hadnât been expecting this calculated coldness from you. Sheâs seen the videos of the frightened girl clinging to her bodyguard. She wonders how far he might be from you today.
âSuzy Blake. She was a political analyst for the New York Times back then.â Ida tells you, turning her head and checking through the rain-dotted front windows of the shop. You scribe the information and look back up to her, unsatisfied.
âAll Iâve got on this is your word?â You prompt her.
âAnd her daughter â Matt never took a paternity test, but Suzy was always so sure.â This, Ida can see it worm its way under your skin, writhing under those years of collected conditioning. She blinks across at you and taps her nails against the coffee cup, glancing down at the milky liquid.
You have never heard of Suzy; couldnât even begin to picture what she looks like. Her daughter would be nine, at least, maybe older. She could look like you, maybe. You press your lips together and grind the tip of the pen into the lined page, threatening to leave indentations of your anger through the rest of the book at once.
âSo, Ellis paid for her to disappear?â You confirm, looking back up at Ida with an iciness that gives her a glimpse of her former boss.Â
âEllis paid for a lot of things.â Ida answers you suddenly faster than she has in the entire hour that youâve been sitting here. She doesnât look at you as she says it, lifting the mug from the saucer and taking a long drink of her latte. The liquid shivers in the cup, disturbed by her trembling fingers.
âIda.â You sigh, growing frustrated. She turns her head and looks towards the window again, craning her neck slightly. Frightened of her own shadow, you condemn her cowardice. âDetails.â
Her eyes follow two raindrops as the grey droplets race along the windowpane. âHe bought the presidency for your father.â
Your father is a proud man. He has told you the story plenty of times, of how your grandfather had tried to give your parents the down payment for a house, how your father chose to spend his first year of marriage in a studio apartment rather than taking it. Back then, you wouldnât have believed he could do such a thing.
Now, you arenât sure where to draw the line on where your beliefs lie.Â
âExtra campaign funding, promotions, big names,â Idaâs cup jingles as she sets it rockily back down onto the saucer. She turns her head back to the table, but avoids your gaze nonetheless. âVotes. Ellis made it all happen. He saved your fatherâs career.â
Your gaze flicks up from the scrawled information on the page, and lands on her hands. She picks restlessly at her cuticles, her attention shifting to every corner of the room but you. Your brows draw together seriously, taking a moment to check the empty space around you before you focus on her.Â
âAnd what did my father do to him?â
Such a clever little girl â thatâs what Ida remembers most of you. So inquisitive, and engaged. So interested. Itâs such a shame that no one had time for you, you really deserved someone who would have answered those wonderful questions you came up with.
She swallows softly, unsure of exactly how much information is encompassed by the umbrella of âeverythingâ. In her industry, you never let go of all of your secrets at once. Thatâs just bad business.
âHe ran for re-election,â Ida says calmly, her voice more confident sounding, even in its soft tone. She exhales slowly. âAnd, after the successes in his first term, it became clear that he could win the presidency again. Without Mr. Armstrong.â
Across the table, you set the pen down on the edge of the notebook and check the time on your watch. You should be getting back before Allen has time to deploy a whole search party.Â
âAgain, Ida⌠Iâve just got your word on this.â You remind her. A jaded assistant from nine years ago isnât exactly the concrete evidence that you broke out of your house for. The fear in her eyes is all the proof you need, but that wonât stand up in court.
Youâve been thinking about that a lot recently, as your research has deepened into your fatherâs past. You came across a picture yesterday, where he was your age, and smiling in the foreground of a Greenpeace conference. It struck you to consider if that young man would hate the man he was going to become as much as you have grown too â if maybe the two of you would have gotten along once, if things were different.
If you would be able to stand up in court and send the smiling young man, with the purest of intentions, to prison.Â
âYouâre right,â She starts to shake her head and her chair scrapes across the floor. The loudest sound that has come from her all day. She twists in her seat and grabs her jacket and her bag from the back of her chair. âYouâre right, I canât prove this. This was a bad ideaâŚâ
Your eyes go wide as she scrambles for her things. âNo, Ida, waitââ
She pauses, briefly, to look you in the eye. âIâm sorry.â She turns swiftly, and heads for the door, dinging the bell above it and slipping out into the sheets of grey rain outside the door. You slam your notebook shut and fumble to slip it into your back, all thumbs and no fingers, stuck in the struggle as she disappears from the view of the front window.Â
âShitâŚâ You mutter, slinging the bag onto your shoulder, forgetting your coat completely as you head after her. Sheâs much faster than she is loud. Rain chills your cheeks and dampens your hair before the bell above the door is even done ringing. Your shoes slap against the pavement, splashing fresh rainwater onto your jeans. You round the corner and squint through the grey ahead of you in search of her.
Her plaid skirt dips behind a car up ahead as she crosses to the driverâs side.
âIda! Wait!â You call out for her, securing a hand around your bag as you jog to keep up, rushing for the blue sedan as she ducks into it. It doesnât take you long, her hands are shaking too much to get the keys into the ignition. You slow, but donât make it to a complete stop, reaching out to knock hard against the passenger window, as something cold, sharp-edged and hard slams into your right eye socket.
Your elbow hits the ground first, then your knee, then your left temple, before your body collapses to the wet pavement all together. Thrown off balance and reeling, your years of conditioning havenât ever prepared you for this. Your skull aches, throbbing like youâre being hit with that first impact over and over, before you even feel the fingers curling around your arms and hoisting you off of the ground.
The car door clicks open. Blood rushes to the right side of your face, swelling in circles to form the deep bruise that will be left behind. Slow, blinking, your eyes drag themselves open and blink as you realize that it wasnât the door of the car that opened. A second impact comes, but this one isnât stone â itâs all skin. You can feel the warmth of the hand, and the ridges of each knuckle, as it drives forwards into your face.
After that, you can only imagine how easy you make for them to get you in that trunk. It hurts too much to open your eyes. Maybe thatâs a pathetic thing to think, as you start to think of what theyâll do to you next â what pain is yet to come. But, itâs dark anyway, and in here, at least youâre alone. Your phone is in the bag. Maybe thatâs still on th pavement, or maybe itâs in the car. But it isnât with you.Â
Each turn sends you forwards or back, your body rolling over the thinly carpeted trunk, slamming into the back of the seats or the metal of the hatch. You can feel your face swelling, the heat from it stings like a burn.
Jakeâs going to be so angry with you, for doing this to yourself.
Maybe itâs just a short ride, or maybe you black out a little on the way, thereâs no way of knowing for sure. But, when your eyes feel open, theyâre trying to focus to the new bright light after ages of dark. When theyâre closed, it doesnât look much different.
Itâs cold, and the echo of the voices around you tells you that the space youâre in is wide open and empty. A warehouse, most likely. The perfect spot for an execution.Â
Youâre held up by a hand on each of your arms, and your feet drag, scrambling for leverage against the ground as they tug you forwards. Thereâs some fight left in you after all. If it lasts long enough for someone to figure out where you are, thatâs another story. You should have told Manny. Or left a note. Something.
The country is going to put your father on a pedestal when heâs grieving the loss of his beloved daughter.
Abruptly, youâre thrown down into a chair and your arms are torn backwards, making you cry out. Rope. Heavy, and fraying, rough against your wrists as youâre bound to the metal backing of a wooden chair. Fingers dig abruptly into either side of your cheeks, pressing the flesh of your mouth into your teeth until youâve got no choice but to open up in complaint.
 The second that your lips part, something is forced between them. A dry rag. Itâs tied tight at the back of your head, digging into your cheeks, muffling your sounds of struggle.
Muffled and restrained, thereâs no way to defend yourself when another blow comes. It hits the centre of your face hard, another fist, this one harder than the first. Not pulling the punch in the slightest. Instantly, liquid streams from your nostrils and the taste of copper floods your tastebuds.
Your screw your eyes shut and force yourself to blink, you force your eyes to adjust. You refuse to surrender your last sense. Gradually, the room steadies and your vision focuses. Itâs grey and industrial, illuminated by a singular lightbulb dangling from the ceiling. Empty, almost, bar a few storage crates, and a scary man sitting in front of you.
He smiles softly as your gaze settles on him and burns with rage.
âI know, I know,â Ellis offers with a small smile. He gives a small shake of his head. âThis is none of your fault, darling. I know that. Iâm sorry, really I am.â
Youâre silent opposite him, your heartbeat thudding in your ears, sickened by the fact he has the satisfaction of watching you bleed. Turning your head slightly, you catch sight of the two men in your peripheral. Security, you guess, in case you do something.
This time, when you turn your head, you arenât scared. The man in front of you is afraid of little, old you â so much so, that he needs backup.
âBut Matt has a debt that Iâm⌠not willing to forgive.â Ellis is wearing a green crewneck and black jeans, not like the suits in his pictures. This must be a casual kind of affair for him. His thin lips twitch, hinting at a smile as your gaze remains, unwavering, on him.
Saliva pools in your mouth, copper-tasting as your nose continues to stream with blood. It saturates the makeshift gag, spilling down your chin, your jaw aching and numb at the same time, pins and needles stinging through your hands as the restraints bruise your wrists.Â
âYou understand, donât you? â Smart girl like you, you get why we had to go after you, I mean.â Ellis sits opposite you with his long legs stretched in front of him, his palms braced on the cargo box that he is perched on. Maybe itâs because heâs closer now than he ever was before, or maybe itâs just because you arenât a little girl anymore â but you look into those dark, hollow eyes and thereâs not a fibre of your being that needs your father to rescue you from him.
âFuck you.â You spit. Itâs easy enough to pretend that the damp rag secured around your mouth doesnât cut into the corners of your mouth when you speak. Youâre stronger than that.
Ellis presses his lips together and sits forwards, his gaunt face leering closer to you as he twitches towards a smile. He lifts one of those bony, skeletal hands and reaches for his phone, angling it towards your bruised face. âDonât worry, darlinâ â weâll get you back to your boyfriend soon enough. Just smile for the camera.â

We Belong Together Sanji (OPLA)
Sanji takes an interest in you after finding out your dream. Sanji x Female Reader.
Y/N
Every month for the past year you'd come to The Baratie to deliver fresh fish since your home was only an island away and you'd taken over from your older brother who was looking after his family. Fishing ran in your blood, you could spend hours on a dock watching the waves. Zeff the owner had been looking for a new fish supplier and your family came highly recommended.
It was hard at first to be taken seriously as the youngest child and only daughter, but you could stand your ground and not take crap from anyone who tried to barter a lower price.
Your boat docks and you stare at the odd restaurant in the middle of the sea, knowing full well what waited for you on the inside. A particular blonde in a suit who'd taken an interest in trying to charm you for the past year. At first,' you thought he was trying to flirt his way to a lower price and shut him down, but after a couple more months you realised he was just a flirter.
You didn't really have time to date guys due to your family business, but you'd be lying to yourself if you didn't like the attention Sanji gave you even if he did it to every girl who walked through the door.
'Okay boys, unload and take the stock around back!' you call out tp your small crew, as you head off the ship to settle up with Zeff.
At this time of day the place was quiet, minus the staff getting ready for dinner service. Zeff comes out of the kitchen grinning, 'did you bring us the big ones y/n?'
You nod, 'only the best for you Zeff.'
He laughs before heading back into the kitchen and you follow him. As soon as you step foot in the kitchen, the main hub of activity you spot Sanji at a station and wave at him. You walk into Zeff's office where he already had your payment waiting, and some paperwork for you to sign.
'I don't know what that boy is up to y/n, but he's been preparing for your arrival,' Zeff speaks up.
You smile and put the berries and paperwork in your satchel, 'thanks for the heads up. Same time next month.'
Zeff waves you off and you head into the kitchen, seeing your guys unloading crates of fish. Sanji appears in front of you naming you jump a little.
'So, I asked around and everyone thinks I'm a great catch and would be perfect for you y/n,' he says proudly, and his accent was more than enough to sway you.
You hum, 'who exactly did you ask?'
Sanji blinked a couple of times before running his fingers through his hair, it was safe to say you made him a little nervous not falling for his charms, 'err like everyone. You and I are meant to be together y/n, I just know it.'
Sanji showing vulnerability surprised you, this was a new side you kind of liked and admired. You motion towards the main door indicating the two of you should head outside if you wanted some privacy.
Once outside you tilt your head towards the blonde, 'tell me why then.'
Sanji bites his lip, 'because I found out we share the same dream.'
'The All Blue,' you whisper.
Sanji nods and closes the space between you, taking your hands in his, 'One day I'll leave this place and I want you by my side y/n.'
'It's not that easy Sanji, what about my family business? You ask and squeeze his hands.
'You've said to yourself your brother and his family can take over. I'm a cook but I need someone to fish for me,' Sanji replies, adding a little humour at the end.
You smirk and meet his eyes, stand on your tiptoes and peck his cheek, 'took you a year but I'm down. When you decide to leave come and pick me up.'
A blush appears on Sanji's cheeks after your brief kiss, 'I guess I'll be seeing you then y/n.'
You nod, 'No sweeping any other ladies off their feet until then, you promise? I'll be back in a month with the next delivery.'
He bends down and kisses your forehead, 'I'm a man of my word y/n.'
Little did you know he'd come calling before the next delivery, and the two of you set sail to The Grand Line to find The All Blue together.

PREVIOUS << | >> NEXT | SERIES MASTERLIST
Night vision, gloved finger tensed on the trigger of his rifle. The back alley was secured, Soap kept two feet behind him at all times as Price unlocked the side door of the âabandonedâ factory warehouse.Â
Four pairs of boots were muted against the cracked concrete, rifles pointed upwards and watching for any hostiles in their way. The mission was to collect intel and neutralize any threats - hopefully this would deliver them to the target. A man who was a ghost just like Simon Riley, but just⌠tied up in debts that span decades. Expendable men were set in the center of the warehouse, a table set up with chairs, chips and cards strewn about the wooden surface. Silence was a friend to the Russian menâs killers, but not to them. A small radio lowly played some sot of music, it was melancholy and heavy on the sax. Blues, Simon reflected, fitting.
One Russian - wearing a white shirt and black pants, a deep purple bruise on his fair face - pulled a chair from the table, setting down a laptop on a handful of worn cards.
âBoss has two targets with him, theyâre to be sold by the end of the week.â
The man with a green jacket shrugged, as he sat down too; kicking his feet onto the table. âNot sure if thereâs a big enough market for screaming babies, Đ´ŃŃĐł.â
âWeâll be getting a big payout if we get them to auction before their family finds out.âÂ
Simonâs stomach clenched, he almost shot them both right there if it wasnât for Gaz grabbing his arm and squeezing it. He couldnât imagine it being you and the girls, it wouldnât be anyway. Calm down. He focused on slinging his rifle silently over his shoulder, taking hold of the corner of sturdy boxes, wrapped up in plastic film. He hauled himself up, keeping his balance and grip focused on climbing up since the crate was the height of his shoulders. He placed his right foot on the top, pushing himself up before repeating the action with the next and final crate. It was routine the way he retrieved his rifle from his back, laying prone on the hefty crate with his finger parallel to the trigger and his eye in the scope. He was swift, it was second nature; his breath didnât falter when Gaz settled on his torso beside him with his tact scope in his grasp.
âBravo 0-7, do you have sight on the target?â
Ghostâs eye closed, the other focusing through the scope of his rifle.Â
âAffirmative.â
There was a loud screech of the door Gaz was watching, Ghostâs chest clenched with anticipation as he watched the intel walk in - wearing joggers and a long sleeve shirt, talking loudly on his phone in Russian.Â
âSoap, detain the target as soon as he is within range. Gaz, Ghost, drop âem as soon as Soap is clear.â
There wasnât a beat of silence after that, as everyone launched into action. Johnny was quick to tackle the man, the other two dropped dead within milliseconds. His gloved hand seemed to cover the manâs whole jaw, fingertips pressed uncomfortably into the manâs skin. Ghost had dropped from his position in seconds and across the room in a few strides.
âWhere is yer boss?â
Gaz slid a chair behind the man, Soap shoved him into it. Struggling hands were strapped to it, the man with dark blond hair and joggers spat out vicious words towards the skull balaclava. He barely caught Price snatching the open laptop from the table before he looked back to Soap and the hostage, the Sergeant dug his nails into the Russianâs face. The Lieutenant pulled a rag from his vest, watching them intently. The 141 was a well oiled machine, oiled with the saccharine taste of blood.Â
âWhere the fuck is yer boss?â
âYouâll never find him-â Ghost shoved the cloth into the manâs mouth before in a flash, his knife found its new home in the hostageâs knee. The screams muffled, he leaned closer. The words spoken were low, but enough to elicit a snarl from the hostage before another scream.
Price only gazed at Ghost for a moment before looking back at the laptop, checking through folders for measly information. Gaz was stood by the door, watching for any intruders - hand on his rifle, ignoring the muffled screams of the last threat alive in the room. But he wouldnât be alive much longer with Ghostâs knives sticking out of his body like decorations. Donât ask for mercy, my hounds wonât give you any, he remarked.
He looked down at the dashboard, seeing a browser left open. He clicked on it, seeing an encrypted chat log with the target and his right hand man - the man screaming for his life in the chair.Â
Donât be late
The damn baby is losing it
If I have to hear another word from this girl Iâm going to kill her
Price is a stoic man, one hardened by war - barely scared of anything; yet, Price wasnât prepared when he scrolled up. His heart shot straight into his throat, eyes widened by a fraction, his hand gripping the table couldâve broken it in half. He blindly grabbed his phone, taking a picture of the screen before slamming the laptop closed. It was secured between his arm and chest in three seconds, tapping a number on the screen of his phone before he walked past Gaz and out of the room. The building was secured, he knew that - yet, he felt the fear that he may be watched. The secure line droned on for only a moment before there was an answer.
âJohn?â
âLaswell. What the fuck happened?â
Thereâs crying in the background, he could recognize Winnieâs voice anywhere. Theyâve been gone for three days. Nothing was supposed to get to Simonâs second chance, John thought he was sure of it. No, he was sure of it. He cased the house himself, did all the work to make sure one of their strongest and toughest allies would stay and protect them. What the fuck happened?
Thereâs a breath. âKĂśnigâs been shot. Someone took Mellie and Y/N.â
âAnd the other one?âÂ
Johnâs stomach settled like concrete, weighing him down and making him sick.Â
âSheâs okay. Sheâs with us at the hospital. We took her to the park like her mother asked and when we came back, the door was kicked in, KĂśnig was unconscious and bleeding out, and Mellie and Y/N werenât there.â There was a pause. âThere was a fight down here. KĂśnig killed seven of them before going down.â
Okay. At least they could ID the bodies, link them to the mob - or at least, former associates of the mob. Any lead he could get.
If he could run his hand through his beard, he wouldâve. It was a comfort, especially now that he has never felt this stressed in his life. Simon cannot know. Simon will destroy everything weâve worked for to save them.Â
âIt has to do with the target.âÂ
Johnâs eyebrows furrowed. âTheir intel is here. I am holding their intel.â
âJohn, these men are Russian. They are escaped convicts in the mob, known associates of the target.â Thereâs a pause, a short yell from Winnie, and Laswell sighing. âKĂśnig left one unconscious. Roach is interrogating him now on base.â
âHow long ago were they attacked?â
âYesterday.â Another pause, soft words from Laswell to who he assumed was Winnie. âListen, Iâm working on this, but I need you. We need Ghost to run the rest of the operation, and we canât do that if you tell him about this.â
Thereâs shouting behind the door, screaming from the victim that Ghost was torturing. John looked down the empty corridor, knowing he has to go to keep his friend safe.Â
âBecause if they came after the girls, that means theyâre coming after him. And they need him alive.â
His hand could have snapped that laptop in half. âHe needs them alive.â
âI know, John.âÂ
Thereâs more shouting in Russian, a loud thud and more incessant screaming.Â
âKeep this on the down low. I only need you. Make sure Ghost knows how to proceed.â
âWith caution and safety off.â John murmured, muscles clenching in his chest. This is not going to end well.Â
âGet back to Manchester immediately. Iâll call if weâve found something.â The line goes dead, Captain Price slipped the phone into his pocket before taking a deep breath.Â
He opened the door back to the room, being submersed in the victimâs screaming as Ghostâs black blade dragged into the muscles of his leg. Price shut the door, standing tall with worry on his mind. Gaz nodded to him, hands out for the laptop - John shook his head.Â
âLieutenant.âÂ
The skull mask didnât look away from his target, the one screaming Russian that he didnât know anything, stop, youâre hurting me, go to fucking Hell- Soap took the man by his throat, forcing his head back before spitting some choice words at his face. Eyebrows furrowed, Price tried again.
âMactavish, take over for the Lieutenant.âÂ
The Scot nodded, hand ripping Ghostâs knife out of the manâs thigh - all that filled the room were screams. Ghost finally looked to Price, an enraged look in his eye as he stood and walked towards him.Â
âWhat the fuck-â
âIâve been reassigned.â The Captain spoke with an even tone. Nothing is wrong. Believe me, Simon, believe me. âYou will be running this operation until I get this assignment under control.â
It seemed that anger swelled throughout the Lieutenant like a poison, invading every space of the menacing man. âWhat the fuck did you get reassigned for?â
âDiplomatâs wife and daughter have been kidnapped.â The lie slid off of the tongue like butter, smooth as easy to go down for some people. For others⌠itâs unsettling. Price was a good liar, it came easy, but his lieutenant was always able to tell. Not always immediately, but he will know sooner or later. âI have to run this. Are you okay doing this assignment-â
Ghost patted his Captainâs shoulder. âGot it under control.â
Price smiled, strained. âKnew I could count on you.â He glanced to the man in the chair; blood poured down his face. He then looked back to his Lieutenant, his right hand man with as straight of face he could muster. âWe need to hurry this up. Only 10 minutes remaining.â
âRog.â
â˘â˘â˘
The front door was covered in a tarp, the front porch light on and curtains drawn. John Price felt the cold sickle of Death slide down his spine as he could see blood splatter on a home he once considered sacred. Simonâs home, your home, was under red tape, unknown to anyone the military who wasnât close to Ghost. Simon created a home from nothing for his child, then opened it for you, then his new little one - God, was John proud of him. Creating a life more than worth living, in a quaint house that should have never been found - even when it was hidden in plain sight. Even the most holy grounds have had blood shed upon them.Â
Kate knew he was walking up the steps, she always knew, so she opened the door enough for him to slip through. Instantly, heâs met with the remnants of the carnage of your entrance way. Bullet holes and stains of blood decorated the walls and floors, even when they had been mopped and wiped clean. Dents in the walls, the floor - John imagined the beast that was KĂśnig wrestling some of those fucks to the ground, snapping their necks with the twitch of his wrist. He couldnât imagine your screams, couldnât think of little Mellie wailing in terror.Â
Did you scream? Did they drug you? Hurt you? Did they dare to touch the baby? God, Simon is going to burn the world.
He looked to Kate, thereâs a hardened glint in her eye. He handed her the laptop, which hadnât been scanned yet - it would take too much time, they both knew that. She took it without a word, turning back into the front room. John strode forwards, stepping over the baby gate that was recently put there. He assumed it was to keep Winnie out of the carnage that was the front entrance, he continued on to the living room where he could see Alex sitting on the couch. A little head peered over the side of the couch and as soon as her eyes saw John, she stood at full height with tears instantly pouring down her face.Â
âUncâJohn!âÂ
His heart felt bruised then, the beat of it aching with every stride he took to her. He instantly plucked her from the couch, holding her to his chest as she loudly cried. âWinnie, sweetheart, itâs alright.â
âWhere-Whereâs Mummy and Mellie?â
John could only bear to mutter a soft, âWeâre finding them, sweetheart.â He couldnât bring himself to say that the bad guys got them, that her daddy couldnât be the hero she knows she wants him to be because of Johnâs decision. He was quick to bring her to the kitchen - which seemed untouched compared to the adjacent entryway - and settled her on the countertop, right beside the sink. He grabbed a glass from the cabinet to the right, filling it with water before handing it to Winnie. The five year old took greedy sips, breathing through her nose as tears raced down her face. âPut the water down, love, you need to take some deep breaths.â
He took the glass back, only for her to reach for his hand - he took it, giving it a small squeeze. God, he canât even remember the last time he had seen his niece cry, let alone sob. Had it been that long since she had gone without you?Â
âAre you hungry? Tired?â He set the glass on the counter, seeing her hiccup as she tried to catch her breath. He squeezed her hand again, all Winnie could do was let more tears fall down her face.Â
âWhereâs Mummy?â She begged, Johnâs tongue felt dry. He hated lying to her, he hated not knowing anything, he hated seeing her bawl her eyes out. She didnât witness anything, thank God, but going without you after not having to for years is terrifying to a little girl. âNâDaddy? Why-Why isnât Daddy home?â Her hand squeezed back, much harder than she did before. âMâscared.â
âI know, Winnie.â His throat began to itch, he wanted to desperately tell her that everything would be alright - that today was just a bad dream sheâll wake up from tomorrow, that her parents will be here in the morning with her baby sister. He also wanted to scream at God and tell him that it was fucked forcing him into sacrificing Simonâs family for a stupid fucking lead, even if it did lead back to you and Mellie. He didnât want to have the possibility of telling his niece that neither of her parents were coming home, instead of the off chance of one; he hated delivering condolences, but he wasnât sure he could do it to a five year old girl who he has watched grow up. âI think we need to go sit down again.â A little nod and she was scooped up into his arms again, held tight as he walked back into the couch; Alex nowhere to be seen, which was fine with John. He took his normal seat at the end of the couch, resting little Winnie on his chest and pulling the blanket from the back of the couch to lay on her. He tucked it in around her stomach, making sure to cover her socked feet before gently petting her hair.Â
His eyes wandered to the TV, to the stupid blue dog show that she seemed to love - yet she held no interest right now. His eyes darted across the floor, seeing little firetrucks and airplanes and dolls scattered across the floor; then to the little mesh play pen that sat underneath the window, the blinds pulled up enough to where Mellie couldnât reach, the strings tied up even higher. Soft toys and colorful blocks scattered inside of it, not to mention a few blankets and a pillow or two. Winnieâs been sleeping down here. Sheâs petrified.Â
His gaze moved to the ceiling, hand gently patting her head with a calm rhythm. Heâd lay here all night, way past when his back would get sore, way past when his legs would cramp, just to give Winnie some sort of stability. He refused to think about the possibility that he may have to follow through with his promise of being her godfather - he just never imagined that it might possibly be just Winnie, not Winnie and Mellie. The thought stirred nausea in his stomach, more than any whiplash, concussion, or shitty helicopter ride could give him. He had already made the silent promise to find you and Mellie, but just for tonight, his whole goal was to make sure Winnie isnât more scared out of her mind than she already is.Â
âUncâJohn.â
He hummed at that, looking back down her. âYes, sweetheart.â
Her little chin swiveled to rest on his chest to look up at him, her sweet brown eyes full of tears as she whispered, âI donât wanna visit my Mummy at-at the cemetery like Mum G-Grace.â
I donât want to visit my Mummy at the cemetery like Mum Grace.
I donât want to visit my Mummy at the cemetery like Mum Grace.Â
The words that leave his mouth are soft, spoken like a twisted prayer. âThis isnât like your Mum Grace.â His eyebrows furrowed, petting her hair back with a gentle touch. âI swear it.â
The five year oldâs lip quivered, âPromise?â
John doesnât promise anything, he never makes a promise he wouldnât be able to keep. He never dared enter the realm of uncertainty, knowing he could fail and hurt someone he cared about. Hell, he rarely makes promises on equipment orders for his men. He doesnât even promise his mother anything, not since he promised he wouldnât go into the military and did it anyway. But as he watched his friendâs daughter, his niece and goddaughter, sob quietly on his chest, he felt he had no choice but to nod. âPromise.â
At that, Winnieâs head finally fell to rest on Johnâs chest, he watched her eyes close as it was evident she had only held out to hear his promise. She had stayed awake to see and hear someone she trusted and knew well, she waited to close her eyes until she knew he would find you, even if she didnât directly ask him to.Â
John felt obligated to keep Simonâs family alive since he knew just how much the deaths of his mother, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew nearly killed him, how the death of Grace and embracing fatherhood almost drowned him, and just how much his daughters and wife saved him from saying âFuck it.â and stepping into enemy fire. Not only that, he felt obligated to you - to find you and Mellie, bring you home, keep Winnie safe too. You had many years left with Simon, John could see it. You couldnât possibly leave Simon now, not when he needs you the most.Â
Johnâs eyes blinked slowly, looking down to the dozing Winnie on his chest and holding her closer, reminiscent of when she was a small toddler sleeping on his chest when he babysat. Fatigue was catching up to him, the hours in the early morning were spent combing through data for the prisoner the 141 now in had in possession, and now - your kidnapping. Simon is a dear friend, John knew him too well to say otherwise. And he also knew that you, Winnie, and Mellie were his whole world - the monster Simon was, the one John had nurtured and cared for to create a weapon, was sitting dormant in the manâs ribcage because of the unconditional love he had received. John could never argue that Simon had âgone softâ because of it, Simon had weeping and infected wounds healed by the soft touch of his wife. The Captainâs previously abused and petrified weapon was now perfect, he was the epitome of the perfect soldier. But with the knowledge of his wife and childâs safety at risk, John knew what the military didnât.Â
âCaptain.âÂ
Thereâs a reason your husband wasnât alerted of your abduction. John Price knew the second he said that you and Melody were missing, Simon would rip his ribcage from his chest with the force of a thousand men to expose the monster underneath. The one you only hear about in movies, the one that is passed down through tongues to generations, the one you fear will come from the shadows to eat you alive. Simon Riley is what the Captain likes to call, the Monster Under Your Bed.Â
âCaptain.â
He grunted a little, looking over his shoulder to a stoic Alex Keller. âSheâs almost asleep, Alex-â
âWe might have a location.â

Princess Cake, Letter
Prompt word: Letter | Pairing: Princess Cake
Jenson hadn't been in when the letter had been delivered to his house. Heâd come home from a lovely dinner with Mark, stripped down to his boxers, brushed his teeth and then slept like the dead.
The driver had woken up the next day, none the wiser to what was in his post, and had gone about his morning routine lazily; eating breakfast and doing the daily house chores before â finally â deciding to step out and check his mailbox for any new envelopes.
He shouldâve known. He shouldâve realised immediately, shouldâve recognised the letter was from him, heâd always ripped the corners of any sort of paper he had his hands on, always left those tiny (almost unnoticeable) tears at the edges. Jenson hadnât known, though. He hadnât looked.
He hadnât looked.
Heâd opened the envelope casually, had licked the tip of his index finger and unfolded the paper as if it were any normal mail. And thenâ
Jenson doesnât quite remember what had happened, had only come back to himself while he was booking the flight; his phone in his left hand while his right one haphazardly stuffed an assortment of random clothes into his suitcase.
The letter had been direct, straight to the point â an address, a plea for his presence, and a signature at the end.
What an idiot, Jenson had chuckled softly to himself later in the plane, who the hell signs a letter like that.
Then again, Nico was always pulling shit like this â desperate to remain formal, to have any feel of normalcy he could when things went awry.
His smile had dropped quickly after that thought.
Heâs standing outside the hotel room door now, hand knocking incessantly against the dark wood as his foot taps against the tiled floor impatiently, âNico!â
âNico, I swear to God if you donât open this door right now! Nic-â
âJense.â A sob. A squeak as the door opens.
Nicoâs finally in clear view of him; trembling hands holding the handle, his body drowning in an oversized hoodie, hair mussed up as if heâd run his fingers through them repeatedly, and he's crying. He's crying.
Jenson lets go of his suitcase, immediately pulling Nico forward, wrapping up the man in his embrace and pushing the otherâs tear stained face into his chest.
âNico- sweetheart, whatâs happened? Whatâs wrong?â
âJense. Jense-â A wail this time.
Jenson could feel his heart breaking, his thoughts frantic as he pulled Nico even closer, panicked fingers reaching up to hold the blondeâs soft face.
âLove. love, tell me whatâs wrong, please,â he caresses the wet skin beneath his thumb,âNico, please. Tell me whatâs wrong, Iâm here now, I'm here. Iâll fix it, I promiseâ
âI donât know what to do-â hitched breaths, âI lost my phone, and I canât remember what to do and he left me all alone, Jense! He left me, and I want to go home!â
Oh. Oh.
Jenson let his body fall still, let Nico bury himself back into his chest as the taller man sighed in relief. He could fix this. It was okay.
âOh, love. Itâs okay. Letâs go home, yeah?â
His hold around Nico tightened as he felt the blue-eyed man relax against him. Jenson could already feel the brief sense of ease that had filled him fading away as a seething rage grew in its place.
Lewis.
Lewis would pay for this.

Dysfunctional as always
Summary: Your family was not the greatest by all means, but it doesn't mean there wasn't any form of warmth.
Warning: Angst, comfort, and words of encouragement.
Male characters x Male reader
A/N: Written by phone and not proofread.
"I don't remember you," the man who has embraced his son frowns while he pulls away. The two men stood in a parking lot of a recently closed fast food restaurant with the intention of reconciliation. Nothing came of this due to the much older man false promises and impulsive disappearances.
The Cullens filled the void of the lack of family, your father leaving you with an ill grandmother to care for. Running and cutting you loose for anything that did not include you. Now, here you are dealing with the loss of the only mortal figure who truly cared for you.
Crimson eyes watch the man grow confused with an uneven smile. "I'm your father. Of course you remember me," the man who claims to be your maker stood here before you for one thing inheritance. The leech himself knew his mother in law must have left something behind for her one and only surviving grandchild.
A level-headed vampire out stretched arm prevents his platinum haired coven mate from departing the slimy leech head from his shoulders. "Leave him. We can not reveal ourselves. " A low growl comes from an equally angry vampire.
"You weren't there," your voice low barely a whisper. Your so-called father's staggers back at the somewhat light impact of a shove, a shove you delivered with uncertainty. Uncertain if you could bring yourself to truly turn away from him, the man you known half of your life before he became unbearable.
"What? Of course I was there, " a habit you had developed due to his absence. A habit where you insert the man face, voice, body, and once adrimible smile.
Replacing certain people who were present, Carlisle and Esme were the people who would suffer the swap. Your grandmother was Carlisle patient, always coming and going.
Made sure to answer her calls and never complain. Carlisle took notice of the newfound shoes at the front door. "It seems you have a shadow," the ill womam points out as a little face peeks out from the safety of the stairwell.
Carlisle knew you knew there, your little heart giving you away and your breathing. You were twelve years old, always watching and always imagining your father stood in his place. Your father false figure stood instead of the kind gentle blonde who made sure to leave his wife's homemade meals in the kitchen for you and the sick woman.
"Does he have any distant relatives who could take care of him?". A trip to the hospital turns into a nightmare, a nightmare the woman tried to avoid. "No, they are either far too busy to juggle anymore kids, or they are located across the country." Carlisle nods, striken with sadness at the thought of the boy who stood outside of the room.
Far too scared of the pale doctor and how the said doctor might say or do something to ruin the child's illusion. A lie, a lie where his father is a doctor who studied medicine to aid his mother in law and possibly save her from her fate. "He has been passed from relatives to relative, but he always comes back to me."
Alice has already foresee this at the request of Carlisle. He has already made up his mind. It'll be hard to convince certain individuals, but he is not turning this child down because of his nature.
"No, I don't see why he can't live with his father or mother." Rosalie is about to regret mentioning the boys' parents."What do you mean?," Rosalie undead, heart breaks alongside the many others present. "I agreed to take care of him while his grandmother spends a few weeks in the hospital. Waiting for an answer. " "I didn't know, " Emmet leans into his once unmovable mate.
"It took me by surprise too, the boys mother scummb to birth complications." Esme set a hand upon Carlisles clothed chest "and the infant. " Carlisle shook his head. "She never made it to see her fifth birthday," Alice squeezes Jasper hand.
"All he has is his grandmother and the hope of a foster family or distant relative. I doubt they'll take him in. So I ask each of you to consider a new member. " It didn't take long for the Cullens to adjust to the small boy and his oddities.
"You weren't there when she was born," the overwhelming memories of the Cullens took over your sense. Slowly, stickers peel off, revealing the true people present in your major and minor memories. From the ice rink of your first game of the season to the last.
To the time you fell sick, to your first ever big win to the moment your grandmother passed a few weeks back. To the time you acknowledged Bella as a sister and how you brought Edward back to reality. How you drill both Bella and Edward when they become unbearable and how they don't think before they do.
The man lets out a grunt as a fist breaks his once correct nose. The man falls back as you begin pulling and shaking the man. A struggle of somesort breaks out in the parking lot concert grounds.
"You weren't when she died!" You let out a long, drawn-out groan as you laid a hard blow to the man's face. "Alright, stop it!" But you didn't want to stop. You wanted him to feel the pain you had endured from the funeral arrangements of your fallen grandmother to the funeral of your little sister.
"Where were you!?" You hadn't taken notice of the blood that painted your knuckles. You never took into account how you could have handled this situation. How the sudden phone call made you claw at the skin of your forearm until Bella enclosed you in a hug.
A cold, gloved hand held your wrist in a gentle grip. "That's enough, I believe he understands," Stefan blood eyes meets yours, unaware you began to shed tears. "You have done enough little one." Stefan effortlessly pulls you to your feet.
You didn't protest or deny his embrace. "I'm sorry." Stefan made a tsk sound. "Don't apologize. You have every right to act out, " Vladimir watches as he keeps the third party from escaping. Trapping him underneath the albino boot, "Stefan is right. He should be the one apologizing, not you. "
"Blood, my hands," you pull away from the ancient ruler. "We have self-control, don't we? Vladimir, " the blonde nods with a little smile. "Let him go. Where will he go? Who will he turn to?" Your words shook the two vampires, but they obliged.
"You are lucky you have an understanding, son," Once Vlaimir lifts his foot from the man, he scrambles away. "He may come back?" You said while watching your once present father run away. "A risk a fool like him will take." You shook your head at Vladimir, who can see beyond your vision of the dark.
The texture of a handkerchief took you by surprise, "Don't want the Cullens to believe we are bad a influence." Stefan wasn't the only one who began cleaning your hands.
Vladimir was soft and slow, just like his coven mate, who took your left hand while he coddled your right hand. Once white handkerchiefs grew, Crimson red. You didn't make it easy either you were fidgety and anxious.
The adrenaline washed away from your once flaming body. Warmth seeping away at the thought, your father may report you to the police. A cold kiss to your palm brought you back. "You must remain still," Vladimir spoke against the palm of your skin.
You cast your gaze down "sorry" another pair of cold lips meets your wrist. Stefan freezing lips peppers small, slow, comforting, pecks upon the veins of your wrist. The sound of blood flow and the touch of your warmth engraved a smile on Stefan face "you done well, can't imagine what you will be capable of once you turn."
Vladimir agrees with another lingering kiss to your palm, "Your speed and strength are hard not to imagine." The two vampires will never let you down, nor will they ever leave you despite the Cullens' threats.

âCongratulations, Y/n L/n you were admitted into (your dream college). We look forward to seeing you in the fall!â the admissions letter read
It felt like you were working towards this your whole life; your parents sacrificed everything to send you to a great school like Visions and they spent a ton of money investing into your future. To be honest, it seemed like a fever dream at first; you had wanted to go here since you were 11 and you were making your younger self so proud
You decided to call Miles and tell him the good news. Your parents were already informed and they were throwing you a party that weekend and you had told your friends, the only thing left to do was to tell the man you loved most in the entire world and his family that took care of you like their own.
You tried calling but it went straight to voicemail. This was unlike Miles because he never left you on delivered and he never declined your calls, even when he was doing Spiderman stuff. You decided to take a short walk over to his dorm to see if he was okay, since if he wasnât home, Ganke was and you could just ask him where Miles was. So, you grabbed the letter, your phone and your bag and walked the 10 minute walk over to his dorm.
When you reached his dorm, you heard moaning and it sounded like the bed was hitting the wall. Your heart dropped to your stomach and tears welled in your eyes.
âno. It canât be, Miles would neverâ you tried to reason with yourself
You knocked on the door and you immediately heard an âoh shitâ come from the room, followed by shuffling. You begged and pleaded with God that this was all a mistake, a dream gone wrong, something other than what it was.
When no one answered for a second, you opened the door with the spare Miles gave you and you saw him on top of another girl. The girl was blonde, blue eyes, tallish, had an eyebrow piercing and looked like she could dog walk your ex-boyfriend
âm-Miles?â you questioned
âY/n, Itâs not what it looks like; I promiseâ He said frantically, trying to come towards you as you backed into the door
You felt sick to your stomach; it felt like someone dropped a two ton weight on your chest and crushed your heart. Miles and you shared some of the best and worst moments of your lives together and you never in a million years, thought that he would cheat on you. His mother raised him better than this and in that moment, you considered calling her to tell her what a whore she raised. You ran out of the room and to a trash can where you vomited, your stomach emptying all of itâs contents and hopefully, all of the memories you shared
âOMG ARE YOU OKAY?â Miles questioned
âGET AWAY FROM MEâ You said, running away
He quickly webbed you in an attempt to explain but you werenât having it
âHow could you do this to me?â you kept whispering as he pulled you close and attempted to kiss your forehead and hug you
âI-I donât know, it just happened. I still love you, Y/n Iâm so sorryâ Miles said, tears pouring through his eyes
You stood there motionless, numb and with tears glossing over your cheeks. This moment didnât feel real, it felt like someone took you out of your body and Miles was hugging your shell.
He let you go but not before you looked in his eyes and said:
âIâve been there for you for four years. I have been your girlfriend, engineer, friend, and in some cases, your mom. I feel so sorry that a beautiful soul like her could raise a poor excuse of a son like you. Donât call me, text me or do anything to me. You just lost the only person who truly cared about youâ
Miles just looked at you with rage and sadness in his eyes. His mouth was slightly agape but you just shoved your letter in his chest and stormed off.
You told your entire family, friend group and Milesâ parents about the affair and they all took your side. Milesâ mom was especially hurt, seeing as she saw you as a surrogate daughter
âDios mĂo, Mija. Iâm so sorry, from all of us No sĂŠ dĂłnde me equivoquĂŠ(I donât know where I went wrong)â She said, offering you a hug and a kiss on the cheek
âGracias, Mama Rio but there wasnât anything you could do about it. He made that choice to sleep with her and he has to live with the fact that he lost me foreverâ you spoke into her chest
âSi, si. I know it hurts but youâll find someone one million times better than him, prometoâ she said
âThank you so much for understanding. Iâll still come over and participate in family functions if youâd like.â you spoke, even though your relationship with Miles was gone, you still valued your relationship with his mother
âOf course, mija. Youâll always have a home hereâ she said warmly
She wiped your tears and you headed for the door where you saw Miles. It had only been three days but he still looked disheveled, sad and had bags big enough to carry a gallon of milk under his eyes.
âY/n, please listen-â he started
You put in your headphones as you walked away, heading for the subway and fetching a taxi. Your friends already knew and were waiting for you in your dorm with chick flicks and food
âHeyy, we heard about the news. Weâre so sorry, and we are here if you need anythingâ your roommate(your best friend) said
âYeahâ they all agreed
This time, the tears in your eyes were from the support you were getting, you smiled and sat down as they gave you your pajamas and slept over
The next week was a blur of you going to classes, Miles trying to speak to you, your friends talking about how shitty he was and people sending their condolences. You guys were the one couple people thought would never break up so this came as a shock to everyone. The Morales family send flowers(paid for with Milesâ allowance) and food, your family offered to come get you one million times, your friends comforting you in any way possible and even your teachers being a bit more lenient with you.
Miles was a train wreck on the other hand, he was broke, sad, and alone. Miles barely showed up for classes and when he did, he looked awful and stank. Where a clean, soft, sweet boy had once been; he was replaced by a crumb bumb who couldnât keep his grades, friends or family afloat. The only person there for him was the girl he cheated with and he didnât even want her anymore. He craved your sweet scent, your infectious laugh, your cooking, your kindness and your intelligence and so much more. Everything reminded him of you and it was killing him, even Ganke stopped talking to him.
People whispered in the halls as you two would walk through and even in the classes you had together. You had moved your seat away from him and your teachers were gracious in granting your request.
It was now nearing Summer and you were grabbing your things, smiling and getting ready to leave to your dream school. You had given Milesâ stuff back(lead to him begging for you back but you just left), erased any pictures of yâall together, said goodbye to his family and had wiped your hands clean of him. You began to feel like yourself again; you changed your hair, clothes, makeup and hangout spots(you avoided any graffiti clad buildings because you knew Miles would frequent there), you even went on a few dates
Most of them were a bust until you met one, his name was Thomas and he was nice and he was good looking. Where Miles and you differed, you and Tom came together. You shared common interests and you felt happy for the first time in a while. It began to feel like you had your groove back and you were a whole new person
It was a gorgeous summer day, the sun was shining and the birds were chirping; you had just gotten back from a cafe date with Thomas where you talked about nothing but everything at the same time, he offered to walk you home and gave you his sweater. You held his hand as you reached your apartment.
âwanna come inside?â you had asked for the first time
âyeah, sure. Only if youâre okay with it, I mean-â he stammered
âIâm fine with it.â you smiled
You lead him to your apartment and kicked off your shoes.
âHey, whereâs your bathroom?â Thomas asked
âItâs right down the hallâ you called, grabbing the remote and lighting a candle
âOkay, thanks babeâ he called
âHey who are- AHHHâ Thomas screamed
âTHOMAS. THOMAS?? OH MY GOD ARE YOU OKAY?â you asked, running to the bathroom where you saw Thomas webbed to a wall with a figure standing in front of him
âMiles?â you asked in disbelief
âHola, Mamiâ he smirked

TotK Link
Okay, I know not everyone has played Tears of the Kingdom, nevertheless finished (I know I haven't), but I just have brainrot that I need to spread.
And I now have the platform to do so >:)
So, of course, Spoilers under the cut!
CW: Yandere, TotK spoilers!
ăťâĽăťSo, this can go two ways. One, TotK Link is Wild who was taken mid-adventure with the other Links. Or, two, this is an entirely different Link, kind of like Calamity (AoC Link-- there are some great headcanons about him -> Here! Go check them out they are so, so good.).
ăťâĽăťI like both ideas! But, let's talk about the second option.
ăťâĽăťSo, imagine, the chain and Reader are coming through a portal to this new Hyrule. Or, well, they think it's new. It's oddly reminiscent of Wild's Hyrule only...bigger. There are islands in the sky, holes covered in what appears to be malice in the ground. People are more abundant, there are towers standing, glowing a welcoming red rather than the golden towers in Wild's Hyrule.
ăťâĽăťIt's so different, but yet so familiar.
ăťâĽăťNow, it's evident that this Link is a little more...Feral. Look at his hair and tell me otherwise, you can't. This man had won. He had won, gotten his victory over the Calamity and was supposed to have the rest of his life to settle down. But he didn't. It was ripped away from him once more. Not only that, but he was thrown back to square one. Gloom now riddled his veins making him feel like he was newborn fawn stumbling out of the Shrine once more. So he's probably livid. Angry with Hylia and fate, and Ganon and and and-
ăťâĽăťHe has no patience left to offer.
ăťâĽăťZelda was supposed to have unlocked her sealing powers, no? And she did nothing. Actually, that's a lie. She used them to save herself. He was left dying again and she saved herself. After he destroyed the Master Sword, the only thing that made him anyone, protecting her. Destroyed his arm. Destroyed himself. And she saved herself. Rauru had to protect him. Had to save his life before Zelda did.
ăťâĽăťSo, yeah, he's a little less...companionable. He had to save someone who wouldn't give two shits about him again. He thought they had improved their relationship, but he guesses not. Betrayal runs deep in his gut, igniting a fiery inferno that burns on spite.
ăťâĽăťAnd the worst part about it? Everyone around him is praising that damned Princess. For the bare minimum. Showing them a recipe, building a school that should've been there years ago, hell, even just having a horse got her praise out the ass.
ăťâĽăťHe was tired of it.
ăťâĽăťPeople stay out of his way a lot more. He wears a look that promises some form of harm should someone cross him, and he's more than willing to deliver. Because now, it's not just the one land of Hyrule. Now he has to deal with the Sky Islands and the Zonai creations. Now he has to deal with the depths and all of those creatures which just bring back the gloom he dispels. And he's so over it.
ăťâĽăťNow, picture if you will, Reader falling through the portal, separated from the chain, scared and alone. Reader thinking they're in Wild's Hyrule, but his doesn't quite look like this, does it? Reader thinking that, hey, at least they're hidden and in a forest, only Oh Sweet Goddess Above-- THE TREES ARE MOVING-
ăťâĽăťReader doesn't know what to do because THE TREES ARE COMING AFTER THEM, they were forbidden from having a weapon (Because why would they be separated ever? They were there to protect their sweet reader? why would they need to burden themselves with a weapon when the Links could fight for their honor?), and THE TREES WERE ATTACKING THEM-
ăťâĽăťBut, here comes their knight in shining armor- or some sort of blue tunic. Honestly, the tunic was styling if we're being honest; the open back and split sides along the hips? (Iykyk)
ăťâĽăťThe trees are taken care of easily and the blond is turning to look at reader.
ăťâĽăťReader just knows. "...I'm gonna guess your name is Link?"
ăťâĽăťAnd while on the outside, all he gives is a simple nod, it's anything but simple. You, this gorgeous being that he just so happened upon, recognized him. It seemed that without Zelda parading him about like some show dog for all of Hyrule, people didn't know who he was. but you? You did? You knew who he was? And the way you were staring at him was like you knew what he had done. The sacrifices he had given. And you were thankful and appreciative. Which was all he asked for.
ăťâĽăťYou then thank him (You THANKED him) for saving your life and explain that you had been separated from your group. (Group? You had a group? And they just...let you out of their sight?) He offers to help you look for them and you eagerly accept.
ăťâĽăťNow, he latches onto you pretty quickly. Your already used to all the Link-isms so he isn't much different. The silence, the constantly guarded exterior, your used to all of it. And it just convinces him further that you're perfect for him.
ăťâĽăťEventually the rest of the chain do pop up. But this Link isn't convinced their safe, after all, Ganon could make puppets out of everyone. Whose to say their not puppets or Yiga? It's better to stay with him, can't you see that?
ăťâĽăťThe chain obviously have a different opinion on the matter, Legend all but Demanding you back. Hyrule and Four try to placate this Link, while Wild, Wind and even Twilight are trying to think of way of just scooping you up and running. Sky and Warriors are trying to barter with this Link (What does he want? Fairies? Potions? Money? They could have it all should he just give you back). Time is the only one to recognize that this is still a Link. He still wants what's best for you. That doesn't mean he trusts him.
ăťâĽăťIf Fierce Deity and First are int he group at this point, they too are probably either trying to manipulate explain to this Link that they are in fact your aforementioned group or are just barely holding onto the shred of sanity left thats stopping them from simply doing away with this obstacle.
ăťâĽăťBut this Link, like all Links, is stubborn. Not just a regular stubborn either. He has learned the hard way that if he wants something, he's going to have to fucking cling to it to keep it. And he's not losing you. Eventually they explain the situation after a bit of your pestering and he loosens up, just the slightest, to take in their words. That doesn't mean he lets go though. Oh no, he just lets them meander closer without threatening a flame throwing at them.
ăťâĽăťHe's sort of indifferent to Wild, I would think, since they're kind of the same person. He was just dealt the shittier hand.
ăťâĽăťWhen asked where Zelda is, he simply points up (Maybe her name is Natura? Idk, I'm uncreative). He does not elaborate. They don't ask him to.
ăťâĽăťNow, it's obvious you have just claimed this Link. He's yours. Sorry not sorry. It's just a matter of taking him with you. He's insistent on not leaving your side. The Demon King isn't actually doing anything, other than unleash monsters the people of his land are already familiar with. This is obviously a new threat and he's a Link isn't he?
ăťâĽăťIn terms of names? Maybe he's the hero of the Zonai because Tears of the Kingdom doesn't really give us much to work with. Maybe they call him both Zonai and Sage. I like Sage, so I'm going with that.
ăťâĽăťThe way he fights is fast and brutal, delivering hits that dissipate his enemies own mobility before delivering a fatal last hit. He's a unit of a man, probably like Twilight, if not a little smaller. (Have you seen the shit he has to lug around? Mans is built.) Same height as Wild though, just more built.
ăťâĽăťAs for the type of Yandere he is? He's on you. Constantly. He is hovering over you because anything and everything can be ripped away from him in an instant, as Hylia as so helpfully shown. He is making sure nothing gets the chance to get closer to you. And he's using his new abilities to do so. Wild is probably interested in the abilities and the arm and the tech, since his Hyrule, after Sage's, is the most technologically advanced.
ăťâĽăťHe's inspecting your food, checking your person every time you disappear out of his sight for a second, snarling at people who attempt to talk to you.
ăťâĽăťThe group have to keep him in check like an untrained puppy.
ăťâĽăťOh, but how he laps up the attention Reader bestows upon him. He is such a cuddle hog and he knows it, smirking smugly at the others while you hold him close because oh how his arm hurts so badly, didn't you know? Oh, how the gloom has him feeling absolutely rotten, please can he just lay with you for a while? Just until he settles back once more? Pretty please?
Anyway, those are my thoughts for now, feel free to add your own!

KNKTBR - Day 3 - Spanking
~~~~~~
A/N: yes I skipped day 2, the prompt was tentacles and I'm not quite an expert on that subject yet.
Pairing: Albert Wesker x GN!Reader
"Turn around."
"Wesker-"
"No. Turn around."
You frowned, narrowing your eyes, but you were met with a significantly colder gaze from the blonde, and you knew better than to expect him to relent. With a sigh, you turned your body, knees pressing into the black comforter below you before you sat back on your ankles, balancing out your weight. Not being able to see him was easily anxiety-inducing, even with how well you knew him, he was impossible to predict.
Turning your head in an attempt to glance over your shoulder back at him resulted in a click of his tongue, and you sighed, frustrated, but gave up and stared idly ahead. Or at least your head was facing forward. Your eyes darted to your peripherals, trying to get a glance at the man behind you, though you remained unsuccessful and oblivious.
A sudden weight on your left hip made your head turn out of instinct, and there was another click, reminding you to face forward. Though you submitted, you made sure your irritation was made known by releasing a dramatic sigh. Not that you got any reaction from the scientist, but you knew that he knew, and that was enough.
It was easy enough to figure out that the pressure on your waist was his hand, as there was an identical palm on your right shoulder, though he pushed more there. You resisted, and the blonde hummed, sounding disappointed, making your skin crawl with the idea. Of course, you gave in, bending to the urges as he pushed your upper half forward, forcing you onto your elbows. Head dropping, you managed nothing more than a whine, meaning it as an apology.
"Darling, it's a little late for that, wouldn't you agree? Don't fret, I'll go easy," he reassured, his hand sliding down your back until his palm caressed one side of your ass, giving the skin there a slight squeeze.
"One more chance?" You asked, a guilty smile on your face, not that he could've seen it.
"All out of chances, I'm afraid. Perhaps next time you'll behave as I ask. Though, given your track record," Wesker allowed a low chuckle to draw out his words, squeezing where his hand lay once more, "I'd be surprised if this lesson stuck any better than the last. You always have been quite the brat."
You responded with a small shrug, knowing he had a point, and he took your silence as submission. His hand released where it was squeezing, rubbing his palm in small circles, and you felt his lips on the small of your back. He granted you one breath before his hand raised, and you tensed, pulling your lips together to half-muffle the whine that came with his hand coming back down, far harder than the 'easy' you'd expected.
Really, you should've known better than to believe a promise of mercy from the man who was actively plotting the downfall of the world. His hand resumed the gentle, reassuring rubs, though now the skin he caressed was a little more tender. That's not to say you didn't appreciate the massages, you definitely did, but it didn't take away from the fact that his smacks were exceedingly harsh. It wasn't clear if he was even aware of the strength he put behind them- Maybe it was the virus that made him stronger, and he may not have even realized how hard he could go. Then again, this was Albert Wesker, and it was equally likely that he merely relished in the pain he was able to deliver with a single strike of his palm.
Not that he was ever satisfied with just one. Following routine, his hand disappeared again before it smacked down once more, your body rocking forward as you whimpered, earning cocky hushes from the blonde. "If it isn't the consequences of your own actions. What a terrible fate you've met. If only you would've behaved. A wonder what obedience can do for you, my love. You ought to try it sometime," he teased, slapping your ass one more time before he returned to resting his hand on the sore spot, giving you a moment to breathe.
You nodded, swallowing the urge to cry, your hips pressing backwards, taking any opportunity to seem more submissive and try to draw whatever pity from him that he may have been capable of. If he even was capable of such a terribly human feat. Wesker hummed, not giving away whether that pity existed or not, merely running his thumb up and down the reddening skin.
"How many has that been?"
You mumbled a response, your head resting between your arms, muffled by the blankets.
"Speak up for me, darling. I'd hate to miscount and deliver more than you deserve."
"Three," you said, lifting your head in order to enunciate your response better, though it fell immediately after.
"Very good. Do you think five will get the point across? Or perhaps I should settle for ten. Make this pain last a little longer. Maybe then you'll remember why you obey," he hummed, running his free hand up and down your back, and you shook your head, lifting it once more to force an answer.
"Five. Five, that's- It's enough. I'll behave," you assured, your voice shaky from the stinging pain in your rear, but you got the point across all the same.
"Will you now?"
"Yes, sir."
"And if you don't? What sort of punishment should I deliver to you then? Fifteen... Twenty? Continue until I'm sure you'll never act out again, perhaps. Could be fifty."
"I'll be good. Please. I promise," you strained, looking over your shoulder, and the blonde smiled at you, his teeth exposed at one side as his lips curled. The older man nodded, and once more your head fell as he delivered a fourth spank, humming out a mockery of the moans that left you.
"Is it the case that you enjoy this punishment? Surely you aren't such a disaster that you crave the pain. That would be impossible, wouldn't it?"
"Completely ins- Ow!" You yelled, your body jolting again as he finished the punishment off with the harshest slap yet, squeezing the skin tightly immediately after. Tears pricked at your eyes, and your hips sunk backwards, fists tightening around the blankets as you relaxed.
"You were saying?"
"Would be... completely insane," you exhaled, closing your eyes for a moment, trying to shake off the discomfort on your skin.
With one more teasing, gentle slap, Wesker removed his hand from your ass and leaned forward, kissing the back of your neck. "Absolutely mad," he whispered in mocking agreement, his teeth pulling at your skin as he nipped, sending a shiver down your spine.
gojo and f!reader are in a semi established relationship aka idiots in love. the best match for a drama queen is someone who indulges their drama.
divider by @/cafekitsune đŤ
When your index finger catches on the side of one of the packets of paper you are handing out to not only your fellow sorcerers and teacher but your students as well, everyone stops for a moment. Their breath catches when you hiss and you can cut the tension with a knife while everyone awaits the inevitable.
Satoruâs overzealous dramatics.
âHow could they do this to you?!â
Gojo stands from where he is sitting and comes to your side, delicately holding his hand out to look at your injured finger. Despite yourself, you giggle and hold it out with a pout and everyone unfortunately witnessing the pair of you rolls their eyes at how effectively you manage to get everyone off topic completely in a matter of seconds.
âUh, Nanamin?â Yuji leans over the shoulder of the man sitting in front of him and Kento sighs, veins already bulging out of the side of his head. âWho is âtheyâ? Who is hurting her?â
The blonde man shakes his head and looks halfway over his shoulder, brown eyes narrowed while Gojo continues to fuss over your finger, loudly vowing revenge upon whatever cosmic force did this to you - a paper cut that probably isnât even bleeding.
âItâs nobody, Itadori. The two of them are unfortunately very dramatic and feed off of one another.â
Yuji feigns understanding, nodding his head slowly. He doesnât understand why Gojo is frantically petting your completely unharmed finger but it has to be one of those things about love people tell him about. Itâs always the little things if the stories passed down by old people are to be believed.
This level of drama doesnât really seem like a little thing but at least there seems to be a good understanding between you guys of what the other needs.
âBetter now?â Gojo asks you and you nod with a smile, holding your unharmed finger in the air. âYup, all good.â
A sigh of relief washes over the room, everyoneâs shoulders relaxing as it appears the task at hand will return to being relevant. You shuffle the stack of papers in your hands and take a step forward, only to stumble embarrassingly when you trip over your shoes.
Everyone groans again when Gojo, who barely made his way back to his seat, rises and holds his arms in the air, palms extended.
âNot again! I warned you!â He shouts at the ceiling, balling his fists with all the drama of a man fueled by vengeance for his harmed lover.
Your cheeks warm when a room full of people turns to glance at you incredulously, lips pursed and brows raised. Satoru rants and promises heads delivered to your doorstep and you just shrug and play it off, pressing a packet to each desk in front of you.
Out Of This World
Chapter 4
Masterlist
Pairing: Elijah Mikaelson x fem!Reader x Dean Winchester
Summary: You and the Mikaelsons are fighting a powerful witch thatâs trying to take over New Orleans. The only solution: banishment to another universe. However, the spell goesâŚÂ wrong, and itâs not the witch that ends up in another universe, but you. - At the same time, over a thousand miles away in a bunker in Lebanon, Kansas, an alarm goes off: a rift has opened up. The Winchesters and their angel partners in crime decide to investigate. What will they find when they get to New Orleans?
Word count: 4127 words
Warnings: Little bit of a panic attack, some cursing.
Previously: The dark blonde haired man in the car in front of you was beginning to look impatient, and you couldn't blame him. He'd paid for your coffee, and now here you were, stumbling around your words. Then again, you couldn't be sure you'd heard them right when you'd come out of the diner. You took a deep breath before you spoke. "Uh... did you say anything about a rift?"
Davina Claire had sworn that she would bring Kol Mikaelson back from the dead. As his family, the Mikaelsons had promised their support in her efforts - despite his tamper and, as a result, his frequent daggerings, he was their brother after all and they preferred to know him daggered in a coffin, ready to be brought back at any time, rather than as dead as he was now. One condition was temporary, the other permanent. Davina Claire intended to change that.
Rebekah had stayed true to her word and the two of them had spent hours browsing the various antique books that rested in Kol's lair or were part of Cami's heritage. That was, until Athea launched her first attacks on the Mikaelson clan. Soon, she became their sole focus. And Davina understood. It's hard to fight two battles at once, so she kept at the studies on her own. However, when some of her own friends fell victim to one of Athea's attacks, she reluctantly joined the Mikaelson's fight. Davina was not the kind of person to stand by and watch her friends die, even if it meant that Kol had to wait. It was her who found a hint about a spell that could transport a being to another universe. She delivered the breakthrough for what ultimately became their final strategy against Athea.
As part of this strategy, she had agreed to stay back and protect the compound as a 'just-in-case' precaution. Athea had tricked them time and time again, and even though they were sure that this time, they would finally get rid of her, they still had to play their cards right. So Davina stayed back and put a protection spell over the compound while the attack team ventured out to carry out their final plan. As an extra-precaution, she didn't stay at the compound herself, but had locked herself in Kol's 'playhouse' where she finally resumed her studies.
It was time to bring her boyfriend back from the dead.
Or it would be, if she finally found a way. So far, she was no closer to her goal than she'd been in the months and weeks before. Davina was glad to hear the door open and see the two Mikaelson sisters entering. Help had arrived.
"I see you brought reinforcements," she smiled, but her smile quickly faded when she noticed the tension in the duo's faces. "What happened?"
"I can't believe she found a way to redirect the spell." Davina slowly sunk on the stool behind her. You and her had never been the best of friends. While you had no issues with each other, you had never truly warmed up to Kol. It didn't run as deep as animosity, but it would have been a stretch to call you and Kol 'friends'. The status between you and the youngest Mikaelson brother had transferred to you and Davina, who couldn't help but feel a twinge of resentment towards you: loving one Mikaelson brother and even accepting Klaus' behavior, only to turn your nose up at Kol's past mistakes; it didn't sit right with her. But even so, she would have never wished for anything bad to happen to you. The fact that Athea had managed to send you to another universe - you didn't deserve it. "How did she do it?"
Freya placed a small sack containing a black powder on the table in front of her. "I think she used this. Y/N was choking on it when we got there. It's dried fruit of the tree of life. Supposedly you can use it for a multitude of ways in just one spell," she explained as Davina examined the fine particles.
"Like choking someone and then sending someone to an alternate universe," Rebekah sourly added. Freya nodded.
"I think the choking was just for show, a distraction from her real plan, which was to redirect the spell and mark Y/N as the true target. The choking was probably just a decoy."
"Fruit of the tree of life. I've never heard of it before." The young witch rubbed the black substance between her fingers and watched as it coated her fingertips like coal dust, glittering and shimmering in the light that emanated from the ceiling.
"That's because it was believed to be extinct. Not even Daliah knew of a plant that still grew these. This is seriously old magic. About as old as it gets."
Davina could tell that Freya was right. There was a sort of power, a kind she had never felt before, that softly radiated from the powdered substance. Fruit from the tree of life.
Tree of life.
Tree of... life.
The idea struck her like lightning.
"We could use this for Kol!" Davina jumped from the stool and hastily walked over to her notes that were strewn across another table. "If we channel the power from the fruit-"
She was cut off mid-sentence by Freya. "It won't work."
The interruption stunned the young witch. She momentarily froze, papers in one hand, the other still tarnished from the magical substance. Then came the anger. All her grief, all her desperation surged through her in a hot wave.
"And why the hell not!" she exploded. The lights briefly flickered in the room and her notes flew off the table.
"Because! What little bit of powder I could gather in that alley is not nearly enough to do what you propose! To redirect a spell and to to resurrect someone from the dead - they're two entirely different undertakings with vastly different resource requirements!" Freya was seemingly growing agitated by Davina's attitude, but the younger witch did not care.
"Okay, so we find more!"
Freya laughed at that. "Oh, right, because that'll be a walk in the park. This very well could have been the last fruit in existence. It's supposed to be extinct, if you remember," she snapped back. Tension built in the room as the two witches stared at each other, palpable in the air as their magic flowed out of them, fueled by their emotions.
"Alright now, let's just calm down for a moment!" Rebekah stepped between the two women, arms raised in the air. "Don't you see? This is exactly what Athea wanted. She's dead, for Christ's sake, and we're still at each other's throats!" She looked from one witch to the other. Both were still staring each other down, although the palpable tension had eased up a bit. Neither of them objected, so Rebekah turned to Davina.
"I swore to you that I would help you bring Kol back and I stand by what I said. I would like nothing more than to know my beloved brother alive and well."
Davina crossed her arms in front of her chest. "But?"
"But." Rebekah sighed and finally let her arms drop to her side. It looked more like resignation than standing down. "Kol is dead, while our beloved Y/N is very much alive, stuck in another universe. I hate to say this, but I think my dear brother will have to fend for himself another day while we focus on finding a way to get Y/N back."
"I can't believe you. I can't believe you! You know the ancestors are constantly looking for him! Who knows what they'll do when they find him!" Tears of anger sprung in Davina's eyes. Kol had made it clear that he was anything but welcome in the ancestral plane. She was worried that they would find him and do unimaginable things to him, things that would leave his soul damaged beyond repair and unable to be brought back. How could Rebekah not see that?
"If he's managed to avoid them this long, I'm sure he'll be able to do it for a moment longer. Come on, Davina, you know Kol is too smart for his own good. He'll find a way. But we need to find a way too. We can't just leave Y/N like that." There was pleading in Rebekah's eyes, but it didn't touch Davina in the least.
"No, I suppose you can't. But you sure have no trouble leaving your brother behind." With that, she turned on her heels and stormed out of the cemetery complex.
"She said it was a witch that got her here." Dean held up his phone between himself and Cas.
"A witch?" Sam's voice came through the speaker.
"Mh-hmm," Dean nodded and eyed you through the windshield. You leaned against the hood of the car that was parked in front of the Impala, bouncing a leg and nibbling on one of your nails. "Said she saw someone casting, then one second she was there, next she was here."
"Sounds like she was in the wrong place at the wrong time," Sam mused.
"She called it a rift though." Cas shifted in his seat so that he got closer to the speaker. "Wouldn't that imply knowledge of the spell?"
Jack was quick to jump on that bandwagon. "Is she a witch?"
"I don't know, man," Dean replied as he kept on watching you. Something felt off to him about this, although he couldn't quite put a finger on it yet. For what it was worth, you did truly seem out of it. Like you were... lost. "Wouldn't she just book it out of here if she was?"
Sam agreed that he had a point. "Look, why don't you just get her here and we'll see where we go from there?"
It was as good an idea as any, and more than Dean could come up with at the moment. Still, he wasn't ready to leave just yet. Cas had been right - they should definitely sniff around a bit, even if it looked like they'd already found what they'd been looking for. "Yeah I'll get back to you on that, Sammy." He had an idea after all.
The two men hadn't been on the phone for long, and yet it still felt like an eternity had passed when the one who'd payed for your coffee finally stepped back out of the car. He walked over to you at a leisurely pace, although it seemed a bit forced, like he was approaching you in a way you would a scared animal, trying not to spook you. It didn't really ease your nerves. If anything, it put you more on edge. Regardless, you tried to keep your voice steady. "So? What's the verdict? Am I being admitted?" You were proud to hear that your voice wasn't nearly as shaky as you felt on the inside.
He gave you a quizzical look, but when he saw the somewhat sad smile on your face, he gave a dry chuckle. "Is that what you thought we were doing back there?"
You shrugged. "I wouldn't have blamed you. Talking about witches and how I'm from a different universe... Not the kind of stuff you hear every day, I guess."
Another short laugh came from the man. "Trust me, we've heard weirder stuff."
You couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that, but it didn't look like he felt the need to elaborate on that.
"So." He shoved his hands into the pocket of his jacket as he shifted into a wider stance. You couldn't help but feel like he was trying to exude more authority. "You think you could find your way back to where you entered? We'd like to take a look at the scene ourselves, see if there's anything to find."
As if you could forget. Not only had you gone back there last night, drunkenly stumbling through the streets in hopes of finding anything, something that could help you feel at ease, but you'd lived in New Orleans long enough to know your way around most parts of the city. You'd found nothing, of course. And neither would they. There was nothing to be found. "What are you looking for, exactly?"
"We'll know when we find it." You could tell he was watching you closely, gauging your reaction.
"Alright," you shrugged. "I can show you. But whatever you're hoping to find, I'm telling you, it's not there. I checked myself last night."
"I'll take that chance. Come on." He cocked a head at their car and waited until you'd moved past him to follow you.
"Right in there," you said and gestured at the opening of the alleyway that was ahead of you. It had been a short, silent car ride. The car you'd ridden didn't resemble a cop car in any way, and yet it had felt very much like you were in the back of one. Or at least what you imagined it would be like. Sure, you hadn't been handcuffed and there were no bars separating you from the front seats, but there was an unspoken tension in the air that felt cold and about as comfortable as a ride to a police station would probably be.
You paused at the corner, reluctant to set a foot into the place. In your drunken state you'd tumbled around the alley no problem, but in your sober state, crossing back into where everything had just gone so horribly wrong... You had to physically force your body to move.
Your two companions were walking up and down the small alley, checking the floor, looking behind a dumpster, even running a finger across the walls here and there, although what for, you had no idea. It didn't look like they were coming up with much of anything, at least as far as you could tell. The one who'd paid for your coffee reached into his jacket and retrieved a funny looking device. It had a small antenna like old hand-held radios did back in the day and the top of it was lined with tiny colored lightbulbs. You'd never seen anything like it.
"Uhhh." You stepped a little further into the alleyway. "Umh, what's that for?"
"EMF-Meter," came the reply from behind him. You turned to the other guy, but before you could ask, he already continued. "Checks for ghost activity." He smiled at you, looking rather proud for having shared this information with you.
"Right." You'd told them a witch had brought you here. What did ghosts have to do with this? "Umh. Why?"
"Just covering all our bases." The man holding the EMF-Meter seemed satisfied with the results of his measurements and tucked it back into his pocket before he got his phone out. You saw him open the Maps app. "This checks out. It fits with the location the table picked up."
The man in the trench-coat nodded at you. "Looks like we already found what we were looking for."
Even though it seemed like a positive statement, they did not seem very happy. You felt the spotlight on you as they both regarded you for a moment, the lines growing deeper and deeper on the forehead of the man with the funny gadget. He seemed rather upset with something.
...with you?
"Umh." You shifted uncomfortably on your feet. "Something wrong?"
Silence. You felt your pulse slowly quicken. Heat rose within you and slowly filled your gut as the anxiety put your bile on a simmer.
"Dean." The man in the trench-coat gently nudged his partner, who still had his eyes locked on you. When he didn't reply, he nudged him again.
The man named Dean made a sound that was somewhere between a groan and a growl. The annoyance was carved into his face. "Come on, Cas, when has anything ever been this easy!"
Excuse him?
"Easy?!" Your core temperature was still boiling, but the underlying emotions were shifting as the uneasy fear slowly got replaced by anger. Why was he so annoyed with you, with your situation? And what about this was easy?!
"I'm sorry that my predicament is such an inconvenience to you, but I would just love to know what about this is so easy! Did I miss something? Is there an alternate universe hot-express that I can just hop on? Next stop my universe, final destination the Marvel universe?!"
"Oh, don't be ridiculous." Dean rolled his eyes, which made you all the more furious.
"Then what is it, hm?" You were almost stomping your foot like an upset toddler, but dammit, what was this guy's problem? It's not like he was stuck in a universe that wasn't his.
"I got a feeling you're not telling us the whole truth, that's what!," he snapped at you, his voice echoing back at you from the walls on each side.
You stared at him furiously. No shit you hadn't told him everything. You knew better than that. You get transported to another universe by accident and run into someone talking about a rift the next day? If he had any reason to be suspicious of you, then you had all the more reasons to be just as suspicious of him and his companion. Who were they to know what a rift is anyway? 'We came to see what came out of the rift' they'd said. Like that wasn't just as dubious as your story, if not more. And what was up with the way they'd checked this alley? What had they been looking for? They'd gone over the place looking for traces of god-knows-what in the same way a hunter would check for tracks of his prey.
Shit. The penny suddenly dropped. Hunters.
Of course, of all the people you could run into, it'd be hunters. Luck really wasn't on your side at the moment.
You weighed your options in a split-second. Take off? Probably not your best shot. You did well in a fight if you had to, but your stamina did not allow for a wild goose chase through the city, especially after the night you'd had. Yesterday's sprint had already proven that. So what else? Even if they were hunters, they were your only connection to the Supernatural you'd found within the last 24 hours. Might as well stick it out with them, at least for a little while. If you played your cards right, perhaps you could use their help until you found a way back. If things got too hairy in the meantime... well, you could still ditch them later, and in a more clever way that wouldn't require running.
"I told you," you pressed out between gritted teeth. "A witch sent me here."
"Okay, yeah, but you didn't say why? Must've had a good reason to do a big spell like that. What'd you do, eh? Piss her off?" Dean had moved a little closer towards you. Everything about his body language put you on edge - it was almost like he was getting ready to square up with you, which did not seem so unlikely after all.
"No!" You involuntarily moved a step backwards and, against every instinct, tears suddenly flooded your face. They weren't tears of fear, nor of rage. "Something went wrong! It wasn't supposed to be me!" The last words came out in a sob and you rubbed over your face angrily. It felt weak to be crying in a moment where your safety wasn't guaranteed, but you couldn't help it. Dean's hostile behavior just drove the fact home that you were entirely on your own, with no one in your corner to back you up. It frustrated you and it disgusted you that without Elijah, you were reduced to this, this blubbering, lonely and insecure version of yourself. Not only was this version of the world alien to you, you yourself felt alien.
You rubbed your sleeve over your face again to get rid of the tears, but they wouldn't stop. The man that Dean had referred to as Cas approached you and laid a hand on your shoulder. "Come on, Dean, this is pointless. Her tears seem genuine to me. Let's just go back to the bunker," he said in the deep and gruff voice you'd heard him speak in before. Then he turned to you. "I should have a handkerchief here somewhere. Hold on." He patted down his trench-coat in search for something that could stop your snot and you were grateful for his intervention. Dean, however, had not been convinced.
"Who's to say she's not a witch herself?"
You gawked at Dean. Is this guy serious? A shriek laugh slipped out of your throat before you could stop it. Me? A witch? The situation was just getting more absurd by the second.
"Something funny to you?" He took another step towards you, bringing himself into an arm's reach. His eyes had narrowed and his face was cold and hard.
"Yeah, actually," you scoffed while you made sure to stand your ground. No retreating this time. "You are. You think I'd send myself here on purpose? What a genius idea. Why don't we all just send ourselves to a place where we know fuck-all and leave everyone we love behind! Get in, losers, we're going to a different universe with no way back!" Your voice had slowly risen to a shout. And with the decibels, your anger also grew.
"Why the hell would I be coming to you for help, if I was such a powerful witch?" You'd jabbed your finger at his chest and now it was Dean who was retreating, apparently somewhat intimidated by your outburst.
"He probably thinks you're here for him."
You spun around to the man in the trench coat behind you. Unlike Dean, he didn't seem to think you were a threat. Where Dean's body language was all 'just give me a reason', nothing about this man indicated that he found you worrisome in any way. It was oddly reassuring and just the tiniest bit insulting.
"Me. Here for him," you repeated, but the words didn't make any more sense the second time around either. "Uh-huh. Why?"
"Because they usually are," the man replied ever so nonchalantly. You narrowed your eyes. Is he fucking with me?
"Are you fucking with me?"
"You were right about the Mikaelson's. They don't stay true to their word, always finding something else to invest themselves in, something that they think is more important." The bitterness in Davina's voice was unmissable, dark and sour against the sweet tone of her voice.
"I did warn you. Giving trust to a Mikaelson is the same was fetching water with a bucket full of holes: time wasted."
Davina snorted at the comparison. The woman next to her smiled, then continued. "I wish you would have believed me sooner, though I suppose you had to find out for yourself. They won't aide you in bringing back Kol Mikaelson."
"I see that now."
"Good." The other woman rose from her seat and turned to Davina once more. "You know what to do then."
Davina stayed in her seat as the retreating steps slowly faded into the background behind her. She did know what to do. It just wouldn't be so easy.
"So, the last time someone opened a rift to this world, it was from an apocalypse world where angels were fighting against humans."
"That's correct."
You leaned back into the backseat that you had all to yourself. Just like before, Dean was driving, and the man who'd introduced himself as Castiel sat in front of you in the passenger seat.
"And you're not fucking with me."
"I'm afraid I'm not," Castiel replied.
"Right." You had a hard time digesting what Castiel had told you about their past experiences with rifts. To be fair, this was your first time dealing with interdimensional traveling, but from what he'd told you, their experience was very different to yours.
"And you needed angel's grace to open it."
Again, Castiel hummed in agreement.
"Where the hell does one get angel's grace?"
"Well, we couldn't use my own, of course-"
"Whoa whoa whoa, hold up, your own?" You leaned back forward and gripped the seat's edges. Castiel awkwardly shifted in his seat so he could look at you.
"Well, yes. I am an angel. I thought that was clear."
All you could do was gawk at him. An angel. Here. In this car.
Eventually, you found your voice again. "So angels are real?"
"What, you've got witches but no angels?" Dean scoffed, like it was the most ridiculous idea that you hadn't known about angels until now.
"I mean, pretty much, yeah," you started, but then it occurred to you that you were probably dealing with hunters and maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't give too much away about what creatures you knew, or well, dated, for that matter.
Dean seemed to ponder this for a moment, then nodded to himself. "Hu. Wonder what that's like."
â Together.
⢠Harwin Strong x Reader
Summary : Daemon came to apologize but you chose Harwin.
Warning(s) : Language, angst.
It's part of "I am not an object"
Eight months, eight months ago you and Harwin fled towards the north, where Lord Cregan Stark sheltered you, Harwin as a knight and you, well you were not here as his wife because Harwin had not kept his promise.
Cregan Stark understood the situation between you and the knight very well, and in order not to draw too much attention to you, he hired you as a servant.
What pissed you off the most wasn't your status, it was the promise Harwin hadn't kept, and a little voice telling you something fishy was going on, and lord, you weren't not ready for what was going to happen.
.
You were looking for fresh vegetables at the market when something in the sky caught your attention, a dragon.
Daemon's dragon
Your blood ran cold, you knew that Daemon knew that you had moved north, since Cregan had been very clear that he didn't want to take sides and that if Daemon asked him, he would say where you were.
The dragon flew to the castle and for the first time in months, you didn't want to go back to the warmth of the castle, but it was getting late and you had to bring back your shopping.
You swallowed your saliva and set off for the castle where there was surely yet another problem..
.
You were sneaking quietly into the castle to avoid being seen, not even by Harwin, when a guard came towards you, clearly embarrassed, he didn't meet your gaze.
âLady Y/n, Lord Cregan Stark requests your presence in the great hall.â
You didn't try to avoid the situation by claiming an emergency in the kitchen, you placed your basket filled with vegetables on the floor and nodded.
The guard accompanied you to the large room then left you alone to face the three men. Cregan, Harwin and Daemon.
It had been months since you had seen him and you felt stupid, because the last time you saw him you had said that you would marry Harwin, but now you just find yourself being his mistress, exactly like with the prince.
You bowed down in front of the men and rather than looking up at them you decided to keep your gaze on the ground.
âLady Y/n, I summoned you because Prince Daemon is the bearer of news.â
You closed your eyes and stopped breathing, what news ?
Was he going to marry Rhaenyra ?
Was she pregnant with his child ?
Is Alicent in danger ?
As if hearing your thoughts, Daemon spoke.
âI came to inform you that the princess delivered a son last night.â
Out of the corner of your eye you saw Harwin stiffen. Still without looking up you nodded. âCongratulations my prince.â
Daemon approached you and with his index finger, he lifted your face to see your eyes, eyes he had dreamed of for months.
The knight stepped forward seeing Daemon touch you.
"Prince Daemon, please don't touch my-"
"Your what? Wife ? I don't see any rings and Lord Cregan never informed me of your wedding."
Once again, you felt stupid. Daemon was right, and you hated it.
âOur lives are none of your business, my prince.â He spat out the blonde's title.
Daemon gave him a devilish smile.
"Oh but I guess it's my business, since we're a big family now." His comment made you react. "What do you mean ?"
Harwin grew more and more agitated, and Daemon smiled more and more. âHe didnât tell you anything, did he ?â
You gave Harwin a questioning look, who avoided meeting your eyes.
âLet me enlighten you Y/n. Your so-called lover here.â Daemon walked behind you and brushed some hair from your neck to rest his chin on it, he inhaled your scent and let out a groan.
âThe man who took you from me eight long months ago, pretending to love you and marry you, is.â
He paused for what seemed like hours before continuing, "The child's father."
His words stabbed you as your vision blurred with tears. "And, you deserve to know that he is also the father of Rhaenyra's other children."
A silence fell as you looked at Harwin, begging to deny his rumors, but he didn't as tears streamed down his face.
You bit your lip to keep yours from leaking, but Daemon had a dagger stuck in you and he turned it just to torture you. "That's why he still hasn't married you. Not only has he fucked the princess more than once while he pretended to love you, but he obviously doesn't have the balls to make a choice."
"ENOUGH !" You, Harwin and Daemon jumped as Lord Cregan raised his voice.
âI wish, Prince Daemon, that you would let go of this woman.â You felt a weight lift as he let go of you and you thanked Cregan with a look, his eyes softened and he nodded slightly in your direction. âLady Y/n, I think itâs best for you to go and rest.â Harwin walked towards you but was interrupted again. "Alone."
You bowed down again and rushed out of the room, letting tears escape.
.
Once in your room you lay down on your bed to try to catch your breath and calm down but it was without counting on the echoes of the previous conversation which resonated in your mind, and hearing Daemon's words, seeing Harwin's shameful face, tears flowed again, it was only after emptying your body of tears that you fell down from fatigue.
A hand on your shoulder woke you up, a little disoriented you rubbed your eyes to see who had come to wake you up, and your heart bled again when you saw Harwin.
His eyes were red, probably from crying.
âY/n.â He whispered, gently caressing your cheek. His touch burned you and you pushed him, standing up abruptly. "Do not touch me."
"Explain what exactly ? How you fucked your princess ? More than once obviously. Even when you were courting me ! Or do you want to explain to me how you humiliated me."
He approached you but you stepped back, raising your finger to warn him not to move, he lowered his head and sat down on the bed. âI never wanted to hurt you, or even humiliate you.â
âBut you did it!â
"I know" His voice broke into sobs "If only you knew how stupid I feel.â
You swallowed and nodded. "Not as much as me."
You turned and was about to leave your room when he got down on his knees. âY/n, please donât leave me.â
You closed your eyes, hand on the door handle.
âGive me just one good reason to stay.â
"Marry me."
You turned abruptly towards him. "Are your fucking kidding me ? you're asking me to marry you just because I just learned that your slut gave birth to a bastard."
You knew it wasn't right to say such things, but honestly you didn't give a damn anymore, and Harwin understood that.
âNo, Iâm asking you to marry me because I love you.â His voice was no more than a whisper as he cried again.
Seeing him in such a state broke your heart, but he had betrayed you. In a calm voice you knelt down in front of him. âYou hurt me, you lied to me, our relationship is based on a lie, how do you want to build something solid on that?â
You let him grab your hands. "I know we can do this, together. Y/n I only slept with her because you were with Daemon, it's you I love. I've loved you since the first day I had you seen. And kill me right now if I can't spend the rest of my life with you."
He put his hand in his pocket and took out a small velvet box, he gave it to you and released your hands.
You stood there for a few seconds, not understanding what was happening, then you opened the box slightly and a gasp escaped you.
It was a gold ring, a rose was forged on it and a red stone was placed in the center. Tears began to flow down your face. âHarwin it is.â He nodded. "An engagement ring."
You placed the box on the floor beside you and grabbed his face. âHarwin, I need you to be honest with me.â The knight drowned in your eyes and nodded. âAre you only asking for my hand because of what I just learned?â
He shook his head vigorously. "No, I promise. I love you Y/n, it took me months to get this ring, that's why I didn't ask you before, because I wanted everything to be Perfect."
"Okay, now tell me. Do you have feelings for her?"
Once again he shook his head. âNo, but I have for my children.â
You took a deep breath and nodded. "I understand."
Harwin took a deep breath in turn. "I hurt you, I know it. I should have told you about my affair with the princess before we even left together, but I want you to know that it's you who occupies my thoughts from morning until evening and even at night. You are the only woman for whom my heart beats, there is only you in my eyes. And if you no longer want me I would understand, but Please don't leave me with no answers, I would rather be hanged."
You leaned back slightly and grabbed the velvet box then handed it back to him, Harwin felt his heart tear as he expected you to say no.
"If you want me to marry you, you should probably put this ring on my finger Ser Harwin Strong."
The knight felt warmth invade him as he hastened to put the ring on you, then once he was sure it was going, he pressed his lips against yours while crying. âI love you Iâm so sorry.â
"I love you too."
