"Soooo...I had a little talk with Buddy about the vaping," Bailey spoke slowly, almost carefully, "And well, it's been decided that they're not getting it back - and no Buddy is not particularly happy about it."

Bailey was always the softer parent, literally and metaphorically, but even he had to put his foot down here and there. Especially when it came to their baby boy,

"And seeing that they're programmed with my addiction problems, I think we're in for a long few months..."

Bailey knew what he had been like with his withdrawals, and it was not pretty.

"I think we're gonna be dealing with a very grumpy, rebellious teenager..."

Richard had explained everything that had happened to Bailey and once they were home let them handle talking to Buddy further on the matter. Just feeling Bailey had a better approach and way with their son at times. Bails was just better at the whole taking part well in general least when it came to emotions being involved. Bailey was just very openly emotional and it just made them better for this sort of thing. Maybe because Bailey sat with his own feelings more. Understandably Buddy wasn't taking everything all that ...well.

Richard hadn't always been a perfect parent. In all truth it was the one area Richard could even openly admit he wasn't the ideal at all and not fall apart. Richard didn't always get things right they were lucky that Buddy was just such a good kid over all. Never really acted out outside some rare times. Guess it a way they were all learning. Buddy how to just be who they are slowly becoming and finding out who that is, well Bailey and Richard have been learning how best to parent Buddy so to help them on that. Right now? This felt like another failure on Richard's part. Which even in his older age? he still didn't handle failing well.

Least when Buddy got jumped and showed up to the café all hurt it was easy to narrow his reaction down to worry and panic resulting in a knee jerk reaction. This however? Well Richard felt lost. Growing up he hardly got punished himself. But any form of correction from his parents? Was never the blue print why Richard was leaving this matter more in Bailey’s hands. Richard wasn’t sure how great that came off either. Thinking to himself as he turned Buddy’s vape around in his hands. It made sense logically to Richard to have Bailey speak on it because Bailey also dealt with addiction so Bailey would of course be better suited to have this talk with their son. This all made sense on paper it was clear and obvious sense. So why did it feel like Richard just gave up?

"Soooo...I had a little talk with Buddy about the vaping,"

Richard's attention flickered over to the way Bailey was speaking arching a brow as he set the vape down. Richard put a hold on his thoughts for the time noting the way his husband was speaking was clearly on purpose. Though he was curious if Buddy somehow convinced Bailey into saying he should get to keep the vape in the end. Richard might not like it but he trusted Bailey so if that were the case he'd figure out how to get over it.

"Hmm put your foot down uh?" Richard can't help but smirk with the slight dig towards Bailey. "That's good though" he stated already wondering if you could just simply toss out the vape pen into the trash. "I know Buddy seem prepared for this when I found out about it in the first place. So I looked into it even more. I already knew smoke would be bad for them. Yeah not like it would be us but it could effect all the machinery inside of them. It could melt his inside, literally at that. And these damn things can just explode if the smoke doesn't damage Buddy the damn vape could. How are they letting kids have these things all the damn time?" Richard been looking into it even more when Buddy had claimed it to be 'better' than smoking he couldn't fully argue that point since he wasn't sure. "Least we caught it when we did, just wish we had sooner."

"And seeing that they're programmed with my addiction problems, I think we're in for a long few months..."

Richard hummed that thought over for a moment, well aware of how Bailey's own withdrawals from alcohol and everything that came from that. Sure most of it was dealt with when Bailey went to rehab. But it still was there when he came back home as well. Mix that with a teenager who likely feels wronged?

"I think we're gonna be dealing with a very grumpy, rebellious teenager..."

Richard hung his head to rest in the palm of his hand "And I fear it won't solely be due to the withdrawal from the addiction he built up." Richard mentioned. "We are extremely lucky with the child we have Bails. Buddy cleans off their plate at every meal, cleans up after himself, sometimes without being asked. Takes care of their cat with out any fuss, always has homework take care of before plugin into on of their games, they are not always asking for things like new systems or games. Most they buy on their own. Helps without being ask more often ask of he can help, never back talks." Richard went on to list off just how lucky they got when it came to Buddy. "Sure Buddy can be a tad petty but well we both are as well most parents have kids who call them by name or just outright disregard them so a bit of petty behavior is the most we normally deal with? we lucked out extremely well." Richard slowly getting to his point

"But now? Now Buddy is surely going to be doing more international things. If my parents did to me what we are doing to Buddy? I know I would go and do something to make it clear I was upset." he flipped his over to expose one of his tattoos, the coffee cup with the Z on it. "I went out and got the one on my shoulders cause they made me mad. I'm just wondering what exactly were really looking to deal with here. It kind of the first time we ever had to punish Buddy let alone take something from him."

Richard lifts his head up "Buddy might not act out but they know how to be a petty brat thanks to other things they got from you. But I can't say for sure it'll all be thanks to the withdrawal issues. It's going to be slightly personal maybe more than that." because simple withdrawal was one thing genuinely upsetting Buddy? was a different one.
