Imagine, if you will, an alternate universe where Optimus Prime’s alt mode is a VW Beetle BUT he still has the semi truck smokestacks!
(Inspired by true events).

Specifically thinking about long distance relationships today.
So tell me how you and your f/o would first meet online?
#I feel like Bakugou and I would meet in one of those online games he’s downloaded to mindlessly waste time between shifts#and he’s so foul at first because he thinks I’m weak but we play and he realises that I’m#actually whooping everyone and he’s like well damn okay#and now he’s messaging in the alliance chat and like getting excited when I’m online even tho he tries to hide it#and gets annoyed when other creeps in his alliance try to flirt with me#and then he’s asking for my discord#me and Sanemi get into a fight on discord the first time we interact#in some stupid big server I only joined for the emojis#but he’s a jerk so I tell him to shut up and a message later I find a msg notification and it’s him trying to continue the conversation😭#enjin slides into my dms on Instagram#he finds my post at a concert and hates the fuckboys that are commenting below#ends up messaging me to see if I’m okay but then immediately worries he’s one of those guys#Tamsy I feel like is that mutual I’ve had forever on twt and we like each others posts but we’ve NEVER talked to each other??#it’s not until I’m feeling sad at 2am and I post something self-deprecating that he drops me a msg🥺#and we end up staying up until 5am just talking to each other#Kirishima is ALWAYS the guy that responds to my ‘morning’ with a morning back! every day without fail#and I slide into his DMs one day and ask how he’s ALWAYS awake when I am??? like to say it back so quick#and he admits he’s kinda learned my schedule and he tries to be online for it because it’s one of the best parts of his day#and he likes saying it back😭😭😭 even if he’s off from a night shift and needs sleep he can’t without seeing me msg#Shindou blatantly flirts with me in a gaming discord and I think he’s an incel so I block him#he gets a friend to ping me to beg me to unblock him and I refuse#the friend then sends another message with a screenshot of Shindou basically begging me to unblock him😭#Dot and I meet in one of those AITA Reddit threads#and we end up borderline arguing over whether op is TA#so much that we get told to take it elsewhere😭😭😭#enjo#bakujo#eijo#but also catch me sending Dynamight sassy banter on his official socials😭😂

can you imagine if they left the epilogue as it was without adding hs2. like if they leaned more into the “fanfic parody” aspect of it.
imagine if you read the homestuck epilogues and instead of being forced to contend with fascist jane for the next five years, the epilogues just ended with dirk saying “Oh and this was all a dream. Btw.”
like i think that would have been insanely funny. there would have been so so many memes about the officially licensed homestuck parody where rose and jade cheat on their marriages and dirk makes davekat kiss. i think everyone would have found that to be such a riot
it would have been way more fun to analyze too because instead of being forced to take 40yrold divorced dave seriously everyone could be like “what does it mean when on page 42 dirk described him as a white lanky bitch… what level of irony is this… what does it symbolize”
instead it feels like we got told a joke that we weren’t exactly in on, felt hurt about it, and now we’ve all been sitting around for half a decade waiting for a punchline that might never come

The Fan Continuity that I’m trying to work on is still on my mind, and while I’m still planning out a lot of stuff for it at the moment, I’m going to go ahead and talk about some of the characters in it.
Technically, everyone is around in this- or, nearly everyone at least, but I can’t focus on all of the Cybertronians. So, most of the character stuff that I’ll be doing for this is more for the ‘main’ Cybertronians in the Continuity.
Each all have their own little things going on, aswell.
Optimus Prime: They/Them/Themself, He/Him/Himself, (FtM):
Optimus Prime, originally Orion Pax only a short while ago before being made a Prime thanks to the Matrix of Leadership, resides on Earth as the leader of the Autobots.
Still processing the recent death of their Conjunx Endura, Elita-1, the new Prime grows protective of his Autobots, while promising that he’ll stop Megatron, and make sure that nobody else suffers.
Rampage: It/It’s/Itself:
Rampage (or known by X to some), used to be held in an old facility in another Universe, before it took a chance, and escaped—both the facility and the Universe, after running through some sort of portal.
Shortly after appearing in a new Universe, it runs into Transmutate—who doesn’t seem all that like the one from its original universe—but also seems to have gone through a similar situation.
Teaming up, the two stick together, all while having to worry about certain people from both of their original Universes who want them both—one more than the other.
Transmutate: She/Her/Herself, It/It’s/Itself, They/Them/Themself:
Transmutate was originally held in an old facility—where they had been created. But, when something happens, she takes the chance to escape the facility—and the current Universe (which, it only figured out after—it didn’t think the portal could do that).
After appearing in this strange, new Universe, it runs into Rampage, who seems somewhat different from what little she knew of the other one. But, just like them, it seems to have gone through a similar situation.
Teaming up and sticking with Rampage, Transmutate worries over... a lot. Not being able to control certain abilities. The people who created them—who consider it ‘unfinished’ coming, and worrying over its new friend.
Wheeljack: He/Him/Himself, She/Her/Herself, They/Them/Themself:
Wheeljack, one of the most well-known Autobot Scientists... although their inventions do tend to malfunction—and one of the only few that happens to be on Earth with the rest.
Although they stick around and assist the others when he can, and spend time working on inventions, the scientist has some... problems, that they have been trying to fix.
Shortly after arriving on Earth, Ratchet and the Dinobots went missing, with her making it their mission to try and find them all again—all while dealing with an unfortunate change to herself that happened during an encounter with a Decepticon that he’s trying to hide.
Censere/The Necrobot: They/Them/Themself:
Censere... or as nearly every Cybertronian knows them, The Necrobot—someone who seems to catalogue the deceased—but also thought to not exist, as they are never exactly seen... but they have a good reason to not want to be.
Residing on Earth, a young human manages to spot them when they were listing someone off. At first, they thought that would be it—but, the two continue to see each-other, and eventually, they start talking.
It seems like, now, they’ve got a little human buddy.
Krok: He/Him/Himself (FtM):
Krok, a Monoformer that’s haunted by events from his past (which, leads him into seeing... spirits?), and the leader of the small group of Decepticons called The Scavengers. Years before everyone else, the mech first met Spinister, after he was repaired by the surgeon.
His time with all of them has been... chaotic, for sure, but it quickly becomes worse when, after a visit to someplace, the Scavengers discover that they’re being tracked, and none of them know the reason. Among the pursuers, is someone from Krok’s past.
Spinister: They/Them/Themself, It/It’s/Itself:
Spinister, a rather strange (in everyone else’s optics) surgeon, who, years ago, ran into Krok when the Monoformer was severely damaged. From what or who? It didn’t know—but it had been rather focused on fixing him, and never left after those events.
Out of all the Scavengers, Krok seems to understand them the best... but, that doesn’t mean that it’s still a mystery—there are certain things that Spinister is keeping a secret, that it doesn’t plan on telling any of the others.
However, one thing that isn’t a secret, is how it can see the spirits that hang around Krok—surprising both, and even the spirits—yet the rest can’t see what these two see and hear.
Misfire: Any Pronouns:
Misfire, a flier who... doesn’t really remember much of anything, and they aren’t all that sure on the reason why. They do, however, know that they happen to be a rather terrible shot... as everyone discovers that rather quickly.
She’s the newest member of the Scavengers, the others having met him and vise versa when the flier got into some trouble at a small bar, before quickly joining them all.
Misfire isn’t too worried about what they can’t remember, among other things—he’s sure that it doesn’t mean anything, that nothing bad happened, or that nothing bad is going to happen because of any of that.
...Right?
Crankcase: No Pronouns:
Crankcase, a Pilot, who before joining up with the Scavengers (being the third to join), used to work for... someone—the Decepticon won’t explain or reveal who it was to any of the others, claiming that it doesn’t matter.
In fact, the only things that the Pilot has revealed, is just that the ‘someone’ was another Decepticon—Crankcase didn’t like working for whoever it was, and that before leaving, that ‘someone’ was the reason for the rather nasty head wound.
Despite the head wound, Crankcase seems to be fine... at least to the others at a first glance, but the Decepticon is far worse. The Pilot has far worse damage—some involving around the head wound, and other, internal damage that the pilot is just starting to realize.
Fulcrum: He/Him/Himself, They/Them/Themself:
Fulcrum, a Decepticon who... isn’t all that sure on what he was doing in an old, seemingly abandoned, lab—which was where they also happened to meet the Scavengers—being the fourth to join.
Unlike Misfire in the future, Fulcrum knows everything, nothing happened to their memories, they just... aren’t sure what they’re doing in this lab—and they can’t remember their time in it. He feels weird, he can no longer transform, among other... much more unfortunate and concerning details.
While dealing with the chaos of being with the Scavengers, he slowly starts to discover the truth as to why he was in that lab....
This isn’t everyone, but it’s at least a few of them.

Somewhere online I read a post that said "Lestat topped Louis and now Louis tops Armand" and I really didn't think too deeply about it; I don't think about things like that much. But also I felt like "mhmm.. Armand seems to exert so much power over Louis, I'm not seeing it". But then Armand was so vulnerable in this episode, and you could see how much he yearns for the love of someone who is eternally occupied by someone else, whether or not he knows it, and he later refers to Louis as 'maître' and now I do in fact believe it.

okay I think I'm fully back on board with Chainsaw Man part 2, like they are for real hitting their stride in what this thing is about. Like if part 1 is about longing for normalcy, part 2 is about how weird and perverse normal society is, and how much of it is built on intentionally avoiding acknowledging certain things. And nothing speaks to that more than taking the train to get sushi passing by corpses on the sidewalk and trying to think of a place to eat that didn't get destroyed or whose staff didn't get killed.
Sword Devil is a great example too. At first I was really put off by him showing up again, but at this point it's like... Oh, wait, hold up, if Denji wanted normal, I mean, here's normal. Him being the terrifying opponent in a spectacular battle wasn't his normal state of being. His normal state is just being kind of a shitty macho guy who smokes on the train and thinks he's hot shit even though he's a total dickweed that nobody takes seriously. Every minute before and after his life outside of that battle in part 1 was like this.
To be honest I don't think it's an all timer the way part 1 is. Not even close. But it is still a pretty good manga when taken as its own thing. There's other manga that do similar things more effectively, but I like where Fujimoto is going with this, and, regardless, I like that it pays his bills.

seven's the best protag ever because i could make a million "get you a man who" jokes about him. get you a man who looks at him the way thirteen does. get you a man who has undefeated whimsy and love for the world like seven. get you a man who holds his friends above everything else. get you a man who'd rather go broke and hungry rather than tear apart the bonds between people. get you a man who'd get himself killed for someone who barely knows him. get you a man who'd get himself killed for an island which he's barely familiar with. get you a man who'd dress up as you and settle the arguement between you and your girlfriend including a really long serenade. get you a man who could both save the girl in white like that and also let thirteen save him like that. get you a man who's driven purpose in life is loving others

So a take on TOTK’s ending I’ve seen quite a bit of is the idea that it deprived all dramatic weight from Zelda’s sacrifice and that she should have suffered the consequences of her choice (I.e. stay a dragon forever or come back as a dragon human hybrid). Also said take accuses the ending of being cheap, lazy, unearned, and a deus ex machina. This strikes me as a shallow reading of the text and another example of how some people think punishment (or in this case “dying for a cause”) is the only viable ending for someone who made the choice Zelda made. It really rubs me the wrong way given all the development and tragedy she faced in both games. What are your thoughts?
The thing is that she is bound, whether she likes it or not, by destiny. The cycle of reincarnation of Ganon (Demise’s hatred) is NOT over at the end of Totk. Each time he resurrects, it is vital that a warrior with the soul of the hero, and a girl with the blood of the goddess appear to fight him. If Zelda stayed a dragon? Well then the world is doomed, because the goddess’s bloodline ends with her.
To me it’s not even a question of “throwing away her sacrifice” or having a “cheap happy ending”. It’s a matter of the fact that through whatever means it took, she had to turn back from a dragon for the world to have any hope of survival the next time ganon resurrects.
We don’t know if this specific hero and princess will see him again. Botw/Totk Link and Zelda may or may not have just had their last battle with him- we don’t know yet. Totk’s ending is left open to possibilities. Through what she says, we know Zelda will try her best to bring forever peace to hyrule, but we don’t know if she will face ganon again to achieve that, or if she will only be able to simply restore the kingdom, but not stop the cycle.
But no matter what, the next time that damn incarnation of hatred comes back, she or her descendent has to be there. The sword can do a lot, but the hero has always needed someone with the goddess’ power to seal the evil as well.
No matter how much we want a lasting sacrifice, the legend of Zelda is, at its heart, a cycle. A legend that repeats, over and over. And each piece of the cycle must live on, as least until demise’s curse is (hopefully eventually) broken. We have to have a surviving Zelda or the cycle is broken and evil wins.
(Also it does seem a little unnecessarily cruel to insist that the girl who has now been stuck fighting evil and exerting sacred power for a hundred through thousands of years TWICE have a terrible ending. She suffered enough- enough that a dragon shed tears. Let her get her well earned rest- the world needs her as a person. The ending is not unearned- on the contrary getting her life back is exactly what she earned. Don’t insist on a sad ending just for the sake of sadness. There is enough darkness, so why not enjoy the ending rather than enforcing suffering on someone who deserves a chance to live? There is already plenty of drama that can be watched anytime in the memories.)
I think all viewpoints are valid, and I can understand their point. While I do not know everything, I personally prefer to look at the lore- the actual roots of the story that lead to the endings. And the lore of Zelda is pretty clear- those goddess gals gotta live on.
And as far as the emotional part? I love the ending. I don’t like sappy stuff, and I’m not crying happy tears, but that ending is far more fulfilling than leaving the world (and Link) missing a really awesome person.
Anyways that’s my two cents worth :) It’s not a matter of what ending we wanted- she has to survive, or the next time ganon comes around, the world is doomed.

i have so many questions about how the blackops work. i wonder how sentient they are? are they truly individuals, or are they totally controlled?
doppelgilly seemed to be able to make his own decisions, since he willingly got into the portable hole after they asked him to- and he drew a card when gillion begged him to, for the sake of their friends.
if he can go against his programming like that, can the others? could he turn against the navy if he really wanted to, or would he still be forced and controlled into doing what they want?
