5x01 and Buck and Eddie are already acting like a married couple lmao. But i can understand where the panic attack Eddie had came from. Buck is now just like a concerned husband

And the breakfast scene in 5x14 with Chris and Eddie? These two have a special place in my heart and i cannot handle it lmao. And of course i type that only for it to be a nightmare 😭. But father figure Bobby also has my heart. And the scene with the heart drawings. So domestic

5x17: Buck messing with Chris’ dinosaur while Eddie is packing, man there is just something so domestic about it. And the Chim and Hen friendship is so funny i love it so much. And i just really dislike Taylor. Also i know that we call Buck the golden retriever, but Eddie looked like such a kicked puppy when we was talking to his dad. But im glad they had a conversation and they want to do better

5x18: Im glad to see Eddie acknowledging how bottling things up isnt good, even if its in his joking manner. “I dont have your bone structure. I could never pull it off.” Bro im DEAD. it’s redundant but Buck will always run like hell when he sees Eddie in danger, like when he heard the gunshot outside the hospital and tjought Eddie had been shot, he didn’t care that the prisioner was still armed, he needed to see him.

S5:E13 Fear-o-phobia

Eddie is really struggling with the PTSD and after hearing that all of his team from the army have died he spirals, really scaring Christopher. So Chris calls Buck to help Eddie calm down. And he does, Eddie opens up about everything.

S5:E14 Dumb Luck

Buck gets Christopher a slot to do equine therapy and also takes Eddie to visit Charlie, a boy that he saved the day he got shot. He’s just always looking out for them and it feels like such a partner and co-parent thing.

that was practically it for season 5, i don’t know if i missed some things but i feel like it was less interaction than any other season ☹️ granted we had a lot of backstories of other characters and this was just mainly about building their friendship and not so much about altering the dynamic, if you noticed other things or know more about Eddie and Anna’s relationship i would love to hear it!

let's talk about eddie in his 50s

that man's a silver fox. kept his long hair and totally metal wardrobe. aged to perfection. still a massive ball of unchecked chaotic good. owns a music shop and rides a motorcycle.

and of course he's still head over heels in love with you. every day he wakes up next to you and is like "that's my person. the most beautiful person in the entire world. i am so lucky <3". like he still gets butterflies around you. you've been married for 20 years but he still writes you notes like "will you go out with me yes or no"

and hey let's talk about that marriage!

it was not planned

you were perfectly happy living in a domestic partnership and not getting the law involved

until you both royally fucked up and he got you pregnant

and this poor man was terrified when you found out. not because he didn't think he could be a dad, but because he was afraid you were gonna leave him. you told him you didn't want kids and he went and did the big dumb and didn't use a condom. but he reminded you repeatedly that it was your body and he didn't care what you did, he would still love you and support you and be there through all of it.

but you actually decided... hey. if i'm gonna have a baby, eddie's the only baby daddy i could ever want. so you told him you wanted to be a family.

and he immediately proposed.

so fast forward to today. it's 2022, and your now full-grown baby is headed off to college. she's nervous as hell. so you pull out the shoebox full of photos of you and eddie when you were her age to help reassure her.

the first ones are just goofy ones, back from before you and eddie started dating. pictures from the road trip you guys took when he drove you to college, standing in front of his van packed with your stuff. pictures from parties you went to together, drunkenly laughing with plastic cups in hand. polaroids and letters you sent back and forth to each other, unable to talk about anything more than how much you miss each other.

the next ones you show her are of your pregnancy and her birth. eddie kissing your growing bump. standing with his arms wrapped around you in front of the house you bought. sleeping in a chair in the hospital with a bundle of blankets in his arms, thick tufts of black hair peeking out the top. uncles dustin and steve huddled around her, staring at her with massive grins on their faces. wayne sitting with her at his kitchen table, eddie at his side and both smiling adoringly down at her.

then there are the ones from her childhood, the ones she remembers. sitting on eddie's lap while he teaches her guitar. getting carried on his shoulders at her first metallica concert. giggling at the funny voices and faces he made while reading to her. asleep in the back seat of his van, curled up with the stuffed dragon she's had since she was a baby.

eddie making devil horns with her to celebrate her spelling bee win.

you braiding her unruly curls for her middle school graduation.

you and eddie hugging her in a sandwich on the night of junior prom, forcing her date to take the photo (not pictured is the very long, very menacing lecture eddie gave the poor boy, even though he was just taking her as a friend. it worked though - he got her home an hour before curfew.)

"... you didn't want a kid, right?" she asks. "how did... how did you do it?"

you sigh, pulling her in close.

"it was terrifying," you admit. "but... i had your dad. we had each other. and we had everyone else in the family with us, too. none of it has ever been easy, but it's all been so much better because we're surrounded by people who love us, and we love you more than anything. and that's what you've got to focus on. the good things will make you strong enough to kick the bad things in the teeth."

"hey, that's not how i taught her to fight," eddie chimes as he enters the room. "kicking teeth is too difficult. you gotta go for an uppercut, jam the fucker's nose into his skull."

he grins and flops down onto the couch beside her, kissing her forehead.

"ready to head out, padawan?"

she nods.

"yeah. i'm actually... i'm really excited!"

as you watch her bound into the back seat of eddie's jeeep, he wraps his arms around your shoulders, hugging you tightly and pressing your back to his chest.

"we made a pretty cool little human," he muses.

"yeah," you agree. "yeah, we really did."

Like it’s so gross and sappy sometimes but y/n has to get over it because he’s just happy to have her and can’t help but gush over her with the gross pet names

And he definitely calls her the weirdest pet names trying to be flirty and stupid

“Come help me, sexy mama” and y/n can never contain her laughter when he does stuff like that bc it’s just so ridiculous that someone’s she can’t believe its coming out of her husbands mouth but 99.9% of the time he he a stupid goofy smirk on his face

And I know he LOVESSSS getting into her phone just to do stupid shit like change his contact name from “H💘🥰” to “hubby 🍆💦😺🍑👅”

And he’s so cuddly 😢

Pushing her onto any plushy surface he can get to just to wrap his arms around her, rest his body as close to hers as he can get, and shove his face in her neck or on his chest

And any time he can she has to be holding him, his cheek smushed onto her shoulder with his arms around her anywhere they can get while she rubs his back and plays with his hair, his shoulders sagging and his legs barley holding him up

And he’s def cold 24/7

So he’s always trying to push his hands up y/n’s shirts so he can steal some of her warmth, and when he’s home he’s always in pajama pants or sweatpants, a sweatshirt covering his upper body, thick socks, and if he’s really cold he’ll wrap up with a blanket

And in the winter he’s always complaining, his nose pink 24/7 from how cold he is, and he’s always laying on heating pads and getting heated blankets so he can stay warm during the colder months

And I can see him getting so anxious every time he gets a hair cut, because for years and years now he’s been keeping it long and trying to keep it around shoulder length but then gets too busy to cut it so it always grows longer so he get used to the longer hair

So when he gets it cut just brushing his shoulders he has a mini freak out and he’s like “what if it looks so ugly and it’s terrible and you hate it?”

And y/n is of course like “you’re dramatic, babe. You get it cut this length every time. Maybe get it an inch shorter this time since your hair grows so fast.”

“You’re the one who has to look at me?! Is that even going to look good?”

“It’s going to look just fine. Your hair length doesn’t matter.”

And he swears he hates the feeling after a hair cut since he’s not used to it but y/n catches him playing with it all day long and as soon as she laughs or he feels her staring he shoves his hand back down

And I feel like hes SOOO funny 😢

Like when him and y/n are down in the kitchen for some midnight snacks once the babies are in deep sleep y/n is literally just crying laughing the whole time and trying not to wake the babies up with her laugh

He can make anything out of a joke

And he’s so dramatic and any noise she makes that is above the volume that they instantly tune into once the kids are asleep he is silently yelling and acting so dramatic- which only makes her laugh harder

And when he’s sleep deprived he gets almsot sleep drunk so he’s doing the weirdest shit and fake fighting the air in the kitchen and crying laughing after, holding onto the oven bar, trying not to be loud with a cookie half chewed in his mouth

He just acts so stupid, how could you not laugh?

And he is so dirty 😢 but also loves some harmless dirty jokes

Like anytime they are alone he’s grabbing at her chest

And if he has something like a doctors appointment or anything like for a simple cold or even a check up and she asked “how did your appointment go, babe” because maybe she couldn’t go for some odd reason

He’s like “oh, they told me if you rubbed your boobs in my face I’d be cured”

And he’s always trying to pull her into his showers

Because he likes cuddling with her under the warm water because then he won’t be cold but he also gets to feel his wife wrap her arms around him and cuddle into him without any barriers stopping him from her skin touching his

He’s definitely a skin on skin man

Like he needs it to have a good cuddle session or to calm down, anything like that

He’s such a big baby :((( I love it

He needs a bit of skin to skin every now and then during a before-sleep-cuddle-session

Just because he loves her touch so much and hates to have anything stopping him from fully indulging in the feeling of her touch

And he needs all clothes to be off during sex- that’s why quickies aren’t usually his style, he’s rather wait for the perfect time than fit a moment in where he isn’t left fully satisfied with touch
