Oh man.  GamePress apparently updated the offensive tier list to be AR exclusive, and boy have there been some changes.  You know I have opinions on this one.
Okay let’s start with the obvious part: how in the hell is any Legendary hero considered above Tier 2?  Like, are we not factoring in score?  Or are we only accounting for if they score well?  Because realistically, half the time, a legendary hero is an active detriment to the scoring.  Also it turns out this isn’t just offense, but both offense AND defense, since Mirabilis is Tier 1.  So that’s gonna be...honestly, a bit confusing.  I’m sure some people can tell which is which, but I’m willing to bet others aren’t clear.
Let’s start with the biggest changes at the top.  Eliwood and Brave Roy are now Tier 1, likely because Galeforce.  Nothing else is different that I can tell.  Maybe some demotion?  But nothing substantial.  Lysithea is finally recognized as Tier 1, and I’m certain it’s because of her power on AR-D.  Girl is obscene.  Otherwise, Fallen Julia is the only other T1 Red Mage, and damn good on her.  Idunn demoted, but honestly, fair.  AR is not for her.  Armor units are not hard to handle, and are pretty bad on offense.  Especially with Thrasir existing, armor dragons just have a rough go.  Spring Idunn and Tibarn alone are T1.  What I do find interesting is that Dancer Micaiah didn’t maintain.  I guess the Hardy Bearing effect isn’t as impressive anymore.  Also Karla stayed T2, that’s...astonishing, actually.  Duo Byleth is also T2, which kinda makes sense.  Defense can’t make use of her Duo skill, and her bulk is pathetic, so any typical ranged defense unit can handle her.  On offense, it’s going to be tough.  Desperation effect is good, but conditional on having a fast team, not to mention Galeforce sets can require the foe to retaliate, like with Eliwood/Brave Roy.  So I can’t say I’m surprised she’s not on top.
Lance seems to just be B!Lucina, Duo Ephraim, and Trio Palla.  Which is fair.  Blue mages, though?  Damn is this crowded.  L!Azura and Peony, because obscene dancers.  Ophelia, because bitch.  Duo Alphonse, because immortality.  Brunnya, because honestly Fimbulvetr is perfect for this game mode, and she’s got the infantry status and abilities to do whatever she wants.  And L!Julia.  I’m willing to bet she’s more AR-D focused.  Rafiel and L!Chrom are also T1, of course.  I think what really surprises me is that Reinhardt is T2.  Is anyone else surprised about this?  I guess he’s not the most threatening thing in the world anymore, but still.  Actually wait, what’s REALLY neat is that Naga is T3.  So clearly scoring considerations are not paramount.
Axes have V!Duo Alm, Annette, L!Edelgard, and B!Ike.  Because of course.  All of them are ridiculous.  Mages have L!Celica, Thrasir, and Fallen Lyon, with beasts/dragons having Reyson.  Which, again, makes sense.  I’m glad Surtr demoted to T2.  I really don’t think of him as the most threatening aspect of AR anymore, even on dedicated stall, so this feels overdue.  Yune’s also T2, which..okay, fair.  While I think she’s great, she’s a ranged flying unit who plays defense, and her debuff game is crippled severely by Eir’s bonuses.  It’s super weird that F!Kana demoted, though.  She was T1 before, and that was entirely based on AR potential, so...okay.  Guess the meta has shifted hard enough against her.  Also, big shoutouts to Julia for maintaining T2 status.  That’s my girl.
Bows have L!Alm, L!Leif, V!Faye, and Duo Marth.  I can’t speak for Duo Marth, I don’t have him, but I feel like the fact I’ve never faced one means he’s at least not good on AR-D.  I can vouch for V!Faye, though, holy shit.  In fact can we establish Tier 0 for the primordial beings that break the world over their knees?  Anyway, Bernadetta and B!Lyn are T2, and I’m betting that’s for hit-and-run offense teams.  Also Norne’s T2 now, which is super correct.  I’ve felt this for a while, and the forum backs me up pretty hard on it: Norne’s the best common archer by a mile.  But of course, you all know what I’m going to say.  There is no way Faye is T3.  I have played her ranged defense game long enough to know that she is really strong at it.  While some threats like Lysithea can blow past her, and Thrasir isn’t always one-shot with my current supports, she is very capable of performing better than T3.  Also, poor Clarisse.  Finally gets a kickass refine that’s just not particularly great for AR, and instead of climbing the ranks of the offensive tier list, they change the conditions on her.  Girl can’t catch a break.
Dagger/Mage combos have, of course, Bramimond, Leila, Eir, and Duo Micaiah.  Absolutely no surprises here.  What is surprising, maybe just to me, is that Winter Cecilia is down to T3.  She was considered T2 for a long while, and I’d guessed that was based on AR potential.  I guess Duo Micaiah is causing substantial problems for armors across the board?  But man, Larum is T2.  LARUM.  Larum sucks, what could she possibly be doing that’s useful?
Dragons/Beasts have Fallen Female Corrin, Leanne, Mila, and Velouria.  I love everything about this.  Leanne makes sense for Defense teams, Velouria is a great Galeforcer, Mila is probably the best Light mythic for supertank strategies, and Fallen Female Corrin makes me happy because Fallen Male Corrin is only T2.  Get fucked, loser.  Your higher BST does nothing for your shit ass.  I do think there’s an argument for Caineghis in T1 for an offensive supertank, but honestly, he struggles.  To a degree I’d say he’s worse than Faye.  We don’t have any beast Mythics, and the only offensive dragon is Mila.  His DC is conditional on transforming, and he’s an armor unit.  He can’t run Null C-Disrupt, or Null Follow-Up like she can, so there are defense teams that can beat him by exploiting this.  I feel like Faye’s a lot better, but hey, what do I know.
And finally, staves.  Bridal Fjorm is the only one in T1.  Brave Veronica actually dropped, which is funny because she was T1 before solely on AR.  She doesn’t place in Arena.  I guess the meta has shifted away from Brave Veronica lately.  I haven’t been scared of one in a long time.  And hey, Maribelle is T2 as well, and Forrest got pushed up to T3!  Unfortunately, Brave Camilla was reduced to T3, so she’s still below B!Veronica.  Which in this game mode I guess is fair.
Now for the opposite end of the spectrum.  There are now 6 tiers, which I like.  I feel the subdivisions are appropriate, we have enough units that categorization was tough.  T4 for lances and swords was like 60 units before, I’m glad it got cleaned up a bit.  For red stuff, Alfonse remains at the bottom, but is no longer alone.  NY!Camilla, Chrom, V!Conrad, Beach Fiora, Hinata, and NY!Hrid are also down there.  Haha, Hrid, get fucked you loser.  That’s for January 2019, you fuck.  Mages here include Canas, Julius (ouch), Leo, Beach Leo, Raigh, and Beach Lorenz.  No surprises.  There are no dragons, daggers, or bows for red down here, the lowest they go is T4.  Hysterically, every form of red Tiki is in T4.  Also, maybe this is me not understanding something, but NY!Anna and NY!Eir in T4 surprises me.  I thought their weapons were considered great team support.  Are their stats just not optimized for it?
T6 lances are many.  Too many, I’m not listing all of that.  What I will say is, tell my Forma Finn running on the double cav Galeforce defense team that he’s T6.  Considering I only lost two matches at all last season, and only 38 Lift, I’d say he’s doing alright.  But there are probably better options out there, I’m just working with what I have.  Mages are just Oliver and M!Robin.  Man, I hope M!Robin goes up with the resplendent.  Leave Oliver to die.  No dragons, bows, or daggers, they’re all up in T4 where...where...no.  No, there’s no way.  Lilith has warp abilities from anywhere.  NAESALA is considered T4, despite being paired with Tibarn for some of the nastiest offensive AR-D strategies out there.  Mordecai has the Smite thing.  I don’t agree with this at all.  And Ninian is T3?  Even though she’s one of the top picks for Infantry Pulse AR-D dancers?  I know Nils exists and is better in every way pretty much, but that’s a bit much to me.  I think the blue dragon/beast section is the most ridiculous by far.
There are also a lot of axes down in T6, but I agree with all of them.  The green mages make me sad, though.  Picnic Leo, Cecilia, and Female Robin.  I do think F!Robin has a lot of utility within the game, but...honestly they’re super right, she cannot possibly compete in AR.  Defense teams have no use for her, and offensive teams using her as a support are a bad idea with Panic Manor around.  Mostly Cecilia makes my heart hurt.  Come on, IS.  Null C-Disrupt Raven Tome when?  As with the other tiers, all dragons, bows, and daggers of this color are higher ranked.  That said, L!Lyn in T5.  Get fucked.  There’s also...absolutely nothing controversial about their T4 picks.  Green’s pretty well sorted, good job team.
The only colorless option with units in T6 are healers, where we have Azama, Mist, Wrys, Sakura, and Lissa.  Nothing controversial here.  In fact, nothing controversial in T5, either.  What is sad but super true, is that F!Grima’s here.  All the other colorless beasts and dragons are clustered in T1 and T2, but she’s down in T5.  Expiration refine when?  Felicia and Jaffar are the lowest ranked daggers, to no one’s surprise.  None of the bows are shocking either, except I’m kinda surprised Niles isn’t at least a little higher.  I feel like his massive Res must account for something when attempting to tank out the many ranged magic threats on AR-D, right?
Overall, I...actually agree with the majority of this.  It’s a solid tierlist for Aether Raids.  There are some things I don’t entirely agree with, but would have trouble arguing in their favor in the current meta.  Like Micaiah.  As we move entirely away from armor units, Micaiah becomes less and less significant.  I do think the blue dragon/beast section could take some revisiting, given that goddamn Naesala is down in T4, but one area that seems off isn’t bad when you have so much to organize.  I like it.  Definitely a lot better than the previous list, because at least now we’re specialized.  Before, there was always an argument that a certain unit was better or worse based on performance in a specific area.  But here, it’s more stable.  I’m not sure if there’s intent to make an Arena one, or if that’s even necessary since scoring is a lot more specific for Arena, but we’ll see.

Summoner/F!Robin C-S Support
Written by  robluu321
C SUPPORT
F!Robin: Um, excuse me, (y/n).
(y/n): Uh?… Oh, Robin, good afternoon.
F!Robin: Good afternoon. Would you mind to answer me three questions I have?
(y/n): Sure. I may have work to do, but I’m not in a hurry. What do you want to know?
F!Robin: First… where did you learn your tactics?.
(y/n): Ah, that’s an easy one. Well, after I was summoned, I read a lot of books about military strategy… That’s how I learnt most of what I know about it.
F!Robin: Wait, so… you didn’t know anything about being a tactician before that?
(y/n): I had a little “experience”, I guess… since I played things called “video games”… but yeah. If we compare my knowledge now to my knowledge when I was in my world… there’s an abysmal difference. Part of the problem is, where I come from, magic does not exist.
F!Robin: Wow… weird… so you had to adapt to understand tactics with mages?
(y/n): Indeed. Honestly, all this stuff – dragons, magic, medieval life style… It’s all strange to me. There are legends and stories about it, but I never lived anything like this until now.
F!Robin: That brings up my next question. Many Heroes here say you describe stuff that we’ve never seen, many say you may be… um… crazy, and you just imagine them, actually… You said something about having played a video… video game.
(y/n): It’s understandable. It’d be hard for anyone here to picture what a video game is, and I’d have a hard time myself explaining what it is. They don’t have to believe me if they don’t want to. The only way I could get you to understand would be to open a gateway to my world and bring back a video game and a console, or to bring you to my old house but… Well, I can’t do that.
F!Robin: That’s… convenient… but maybe it has something to do with my third questio Alfonse said you didn’t want to return to your own world… why?… don’t you have loved ones there?.
(y/n): I do. But opening a gateway to my world would be… Let’s say that, in my world, we have what we call… petroleum. It’s a mineral oil that we use for fuel, and very important for our economy. And… as you might suspect, it’s becoming rarer and rarer… I fear that if we open a gate, people would end up discovering Askr and come to steal its resources…
F!Robin: …Are you shaking?
(y/n): …Honestly, I am happier to be here… But you don’t have to believe me if you don’t want to. I guess that answers your three questions. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have work to do.
F!Robin: Wait!… They left…
[(y/n) and F!Robin have reached support rank C.]
SUPPORT B
(y/n): If only I could understand this better… Damn.
F!Robin: (y/n)!
(y/n): Robin? What a surprise.
F!Robin: I still had another question. Please don’t run away this time.
(y/n): …What is it?.
F!Robin: Why did you say you were happier here than in your home world?
(y/n): Well… Here, I’m more important than I am at home… Unlike all of you Heroes, I’ve never fought an evil empire trying to conquer the world nor an evil dragon trying to destroy humanity… I was just a regular person, like any villager.
F!Robin: So you were like Donnel before he joined the Shepherds, and your life here is more exciting.
(y/n): Pretty much, yeah… Okay, now may I ask you something as well?
F!Robin: Of course. (y/n): I don’t wanna sound rude but… why are asking me so many questions?
F!Robin: Let’s say… I feel a special connection with you.
(y/n): Connection? What do you mean? F!Robin: I’m not sure… It’s just, we’re very similar in some aspects: we’re both tacticians, working along a blue haired prince who has a cute younger sister and wields a legendary sword, our clothes are similar… The fear you displayed when you talked about an army from your world… It’s similar to the fear I had when I faced Walhart and his men… and…
(y/n): And? F!Robin: And we both worry too much about others, to the point we overwork ourselves to ensure their safety. We also both prefer to stay with the friends we made along the way than to live the destiny we were suposed to live before our adventure began.
(y/n): I see… let me test ask you something else. Did you decide to kill Grima, despite knowing it would kill you as well, because you couldn’t have lived the rest of your life in peace? Because it would have been selfish? Because it might have allowed the future where Lucina came from to happen again?
F!Robin: …I’m just one woman… Chrom and all the others didn’t understand that. My life is nothing compared to many lifes.
(y/n): But life does not care for what we want or what makes us feel better. For what it’s worth, I think you made the right choice, Robin. Even if it was a hard decision. Remember this: the hardest choices require the strongest will.
F!Robin: …Thank you for being so understanding, (y/n).
(y/n): You’re welcome. I’m gonna have to cut our chat short though… I still have a lot of working to do.
F!Robin: Would you like some help?
(y/n): Haha. Yes, why not?
[(y/n) and F!Robin have reached support rank B.]
SUPPORT A
F!Robin: You know, when you said you had too much work to do, I thought you meant making tactics, but all these… the telescope, compass, thermometer… They are just wonderful.
(y/n): They truly are. A shame the vast majority of people would be unable to explain how they work, let alone build them.
F!Robin: That makes sense, I suppose… After all, I would be unable to build a ballista. So you really are from a completely different world, aren’t you?
(y/n): Mhm. Feels weird to live in a medieval setting.
F!Robin: What do you mean by medieval?
(y/n): A long time ago, my world was very similar to Askr or Ylisse. Well, without magic, pegasi, wyverns, dragons and all that stuff, of course.
F!Robin: Ah, that’s right, no magic. Then it must have been pretty difficult to do certain things, and I guess battles were more simple, only melee fights… (y/n): Oh, no, actually. In modern society, we have weapons that allow us to fight from a distance.
F!Robin: Like archers?
(y/n): Sort of? I guess you could think of such weapons as evolved bows and arrows… Wait, I think I can explain. You see how Breidablik works?
F!Robin: Yes. You load it with orbs and then you push that thing here, and it fires. Like a crossbow.
(y/n): Haha, I didn’t think about it, but it does work a bit like a crossbow. To me, it’s more similar to one of the weapons I just mentioned – a gun.
F!Robin: Interesting… So, instead of orbs, you’d load a “gun” with another kind of projectile. Similar to cannonballs, but smaller.
(y/n): Exactly. We call them bullets.
F!Robin: Um… Would have been pretty convenient if Breidablik could do that.
(y/n): Ha! Yeah… I could have headshoted Surtr or Veronica and we’d all be happy right now. Well, in theory.
F!Robin: Such efficient yet deadly new weapons… I can see why anyone from your world coming here with ill intentions would be worrisome.
(y/n): Yes… The mere idea this could happen makes me… makes me… urgh…
F!Robin: You’re trembling again. Are you okay?
(y/n): Yes, yes… Sorry. I worry too much, don’t I? After all, there’s no way this could happen. As long as I’m using Breidablik with good intentions in mind, this will never… urgh.
F!Robin: …You know you’re not alone, right? Everyone here is your friend. We can support you. There’s no point in getting sick with worry. That’s what my own friends taught me.
(y/n): Thank you, Robin. I appreciate the thought. But as my duty-
F!Robin: Oh, please. Don’t give me the “duty” excuse. I’ll help you, everyday! I know how it feels to work restlessly… so please, just let me help you.
(y/n): In that case… Alright, friend. Thanks a lot.
F!Robin: Don’t mention it.
[(y/n) and F!Robin have reached support rank A.]
S SUPPORT
F!Robin: You!
(y/n): Argh!
F!Robin: Stay right here! Don’t try to run away!
F!Robin: You owe me an explanation, and I want it now!
(y/n): R-Robin? I… Um… I have to–
F!Robin: Work to do, yes, I know. That’s the problem! What’s gotten into you? All of a sudden, it’s like I’m not allowed to work with you anymore! I just wanted to make sure you’d be fine, as a friend, and now you are overworking yourself again! Why?
(y/n): I know, I just… You’re… distracting me.
F!Robin: Distracting you…? So you’re saying it’s my fault then.
(y/n): I mean… Do you have any idea how hard it is to focus on skills sets or strategies for Tempest Trials when there’s someone as kindhearted and pretty as you always standing near me?!
F!Robin: …Excuse me?
(y/n): You gave me a hand when I needed it the most… and after that, every time you helped me, the only thing I could think about was how smart and beautiful you are. Sheesh, I even spilled tea all over me the other day because I was thinking about your smile.
F!Robin: (y/n)… I had no idea…
(y/n): I know. I’m sorry I changed my mind about working together and gave you no explanation. Well, here’s your reason. I love you. It’s just… In order to stay focused on my duties, I needed you to stay away from my job.
F!Robin: …You are such an idiot. Instead of taking such a rash decision, you should have told me. Who’s to say I don’t feel the same about you? Geez… I hadn’t confessed and I still thought you had rejected me.
(y/n): I-I’m sorry… I never expected I had a chance. But… maybe we can try.
F!Robin: What do you mean?
(y/n): If we both feel the same, maybe I won’t have any problem being in love with you and working at your side.
F!Robin: Now that sounds like a good decision. Here, let me tell you something.
[(y/n) and F!Robin have reached support rank S.]
Confession quote:
F!Robin: “Your dedication to help everyone, your kindness, your intelligence… I love it all. You opened my eyes to wonders I would have never imagined. I can not imagine how my life would have been like had I never met you. Let’s stay by each other’s side, for the rest of our lives.”

Reaction post of various FE things
It's been many days since some of the news, but I wanted to do a big post so...
Three Houses
It does look cool, way more than Fates or Awakening. I'll wait until there's a proper emulator for Switch, but nevermind.
It gives me FE7 vibes. A green haired girl related to you sleeping, being loyal to a main lord who helps their two friends...
Byleth is handsome and more mature than the other avatars. I already want him in Heroes.
F!Byleth would be awesome too, but they did her dirty with that stupid outfit. Perhaps the part that bothers me the most is the exposed belly, it's really dumb. It would be nice to see character customization.
Byleth is not a secret prince/ss, as it seems. Perhaps the father won't die this time. And I somehow want Sothis to be a distant ancestor, not a waifu. Perhaps some sort of ancient heroine who helped the world and Byleth has similar demonic powers.
I've liked the main lords. If Claude had a Matthew-like personality (not Niles-like) he would be awesome. And Dimitri seems like a memelord, somewhere between Draco Malfoy and Ephraim.
I want to befriend Sylvain Jose Gautier.
Reiner Braun somehow has a cousin (Raphael) who lives a happier life. I almost cried when seeing him.
Please, don't romance the students. And PLEASE, no children. The supports could be similar to FE7-12. More centered on companionship or rivalry, and not much romance.
Besides other teachers, there could be adult characters joining you. As I already commented in one of Ghast's videos, those could be mercenaries from your father's group. There could be a common goal where you reunite.
Find and vote
Probably you've already guessed, but I'm mad.
A chance to bring back Hector home and... It's gone.
I would have understood if it were a popularity contest because Lyn is a good character, but it's a unit we have for free, and someone chooses the one with worst skills.
Many people said they didn't know that they could move through the map. If that were true, I'd go to the feedback option and explain. That's the least they can do.
That said, I shouldn't be so pissed. But I already dealt with the Camilla bullshit for... Two weeks? Both sides insisted too much, and I ended up really tired.
Well, having Lyn would mean a free legendary hero, even if I checked in my previous phone how bad she worked.
I'd merge the other three. Duma and Azura were expected to win, it's fair that people want them. And perhaps we can stop the Grima thirst :')
But the best option would be Myrrh, I think. I got mine from the banner that I wanted to use to bring back Innes (or Hector), but it didn't give me a single fucking green orb.
My Myrrh has bad IVs (+Spd -Def) but she's already really good, specially with Duma at her side. And I like her Halloween version much more than the regular one.
Book III, chapter 4
We all knew what was going to happen to Gustav. I understand why he acted like an asshole, to make Alfonse feel less bad about losing him, and because of the loss of his own father.
Also, what he said about the Summoner sounded rare (almost racist-like) but it could be motivated by the situation with Bruno/Zach or betrayals that Gustav himself may have experimented.
That said, I'm still salty about the lack of Sharena interactions. It's not normal, IS.
According to a promotional picture, Henriette should die too, and we'll have a Sumeragi-Mikoto-in-Revelations situation.
Probably, we'll have a similar scene to the one with Eliwood meeting Eleanora. And we deserve to see Sharena speaking with her mother, about the letters she wrote to her, and all of that.
The chapter left me a bit cold, perhaps because I was very sleepy in a library while playing it. There were very few facial expressions and sorrow, it was different from Gunnthrá's death.
Also, Hel is expressionless as fuck and Eir doesn't deserve to be compared to Fjorm for now (I hope my opinion changes), but I loved when the OST started playing. It gave me that chill.
Congratulations to the beast unit fans! I only used the tickets and the amount of orbs needed to get a 5* hero, and I got Chicken Hinoka and Shiro came back home.
I hope the Legendary/Mythic banner brings someone interesting, even a better written version of Anankos would suffice. Ephraim comes back, if I remember correctly. And next month we'll most likely have Idunn as a Mythic hero.

Thoughts on Grima origin reveal in Echoes
Tumblr media
(Spoilers!)
The following translated text was obtained from AVEYN_KNIGHT on paste bin: (link) and some info from the fire emblem wiki
So there is this post game dungeon after the main campaign of Fe: Echoes where you go to a lovely vacation destination called Thabes, located in scenic Marmotord also known as the “Desert of Death.” Lovely...
Tumblr media
Marmotord, dubbed the Desert of Death, is a vast desert covers the northwestern portion of the continent. Anri visited it on his legendary quest to obtain Falchion. It is unclaimed by any nation, and inhabited only by various barbarians and wild wyverns.
Thabes was an ancient city that now lies buried underneath the sands of Marmotord. It is supposedly the final resting place of Naga.
This region would be a small part of the wilderness of Anri’s Way, and would much later be known as Ferox.
And would you look at that it’s where Naga’s physical remains are located. Or at least it’s where her/his first incarnation is buried? It’s really unclear with all the lore stuff added in Awakening whether or not Naga is just a title that gets passed down to various members of the divine dragon tribe that fill that role or if Naga reincarnates every thousands of years or so and pops up wherever needed.
But anyway after Naga made the Falcion and Fire Emblem, and sealed their daughter into the Ice Temple to prevent that whole degeneration thing that was plaguing dragon-kind and made the Earth Dragons go nuts, they “died” (quote-unquote) and Thabes is where the first Naga is burried.
Gee, I hope no one desecrates this holy site with weird magic/science!
Tumblr media
This is the underground labyrinth of Thabes, a place where outsiders are forbidden entry. The alchemist forneus made a name for himself at Thabes his name was later feared.
Oh nooooooo.... Now are we talking “my potions are too strong for you, traveler” feared or...?
Tumblr media
During his life, Forneus researched two topics: The reanimation of corpses into soldiers that obediently followed orders. The creation of “perfect life”.
Oh good, it’s that kind of alchemy :^)
(I can’t believe Grima is Perfect Cell, you guys)
Tumblr media
We, the senate sent forth emissaries to reach Forneus, yet none ever returned. Even the government rallied soldiers, but they too failed to come back home.
Fire Emblem: Biohazard
(Also, why did you guys even let him set up shop in the labyrinth when his fields of study for his whole carrier were to “raise the dead” and “play God?”)((Heck, they probably funded it didn’t they? That’s usually the case for these things.))
Tumblr media
In the end, the government sealed away Atelier Forneus. Even after this city fades into the sand, none can lift the seal that was placed.
Apparently the seal doesn’t work because Alm and company waltz right in.
Tumblr media
Herein lies the sealed Atelier Forneus, as well as its demonic alchemist owner.
(Quick note: Atelier is the French word for workshop/studio and Forneus is the name of a demon.) ((Robin’s Japanese name is also a French word just so you know.))
Tumblr media
The most important element of the deceased masks are the shelled insects. I have named these curious creatures “Risen Bugs”. By placing Risen Bugs in a corpse, they will start to gather and take over the host.
BUGS
THAT’S WHAT MAKES RISEN. NOT MAGIC, BUT BUGS
Well, now we know what’s in Schrodinger’s reeking box. (That doesn’t explain ho w they can be controlled by magic tho.) ((Or how they just vanish into smoke upon death.)) (((OR WHY ONLY GRIMA AND THE GRIMLEAL EXCLUSIVELY USE THEM AND NOT SOME RANDO WITH A BOX OF BUGS))
Tumblr media
At last, the divine dragon blood has been acquired. It’s mystical power is truly wondrous!
Determination I mean, Divine Dragon Blood!
Whose blood could it be tho? Hmmm.
Tumblr media
I mean what divine dragon would this alchemist, who has been sealed away from the outside world...
Tumblr media
Could he possibly have access to...?
(So i guess that kind of explains why the Falchion can’t kill Grima permanently.)
Tumblr media
Thanks to the senate, all the ingredients are in place for me to create brand new life.
I think “ingredients” here means the soldiers the government sent to stop him.(I can’t believe Grima’s The Human Centipede, you guys)
Tumblr media
At first, it was barely the size of a thumbnail. On the 88th day, after transferring my blood, it has developed a sudden change.
One good takeaway from this new information is that Grima basically started out like one of those sponge capsules that expand when you put it in water. “Just add blood and see him grow!” (I can’t believe Grima is Mewtwo, you guys)
And now we know that it’s possible for Robin to be Forneus’ blood decedent (probably in an indirect way like how Marth is Anri’s. Because who would want to have a baby with this nerd?) Or that Robin’s ancestor made a second blood pact to revitalize Grima’s physical construct.
Tumblr media
(Oh Grima, there is at least 50% of you, more or less, that is is human, and the rest of it came from Naga and the sealed earth dragons maybe, I don’t even know how they play in at this point since Forneus is no where near the Dragon’s Table.)
Tumblr media
Its voice resounds through my brain. Such trembling darkness, and desire to destroy, I...
Yeah that certainly sounds like Grima, all caps inner voice and all.
Closing Thoughts:
Do we know what Grima really is now? No.
Not really. There are a lot of things implying what Grima might be, but even with all this added information that seems to contradict what was already said about Grima (like being related to earth dragons in the artbook) it’s still really vague.
Especially now that divine dragon blood (that may or may not be Naga’s) has been thrown into the mix. (It could be Duma or Mila’s blood but they both left the continent while Naga was still alive so...)
Hell, with how Grima seems to only be able to grow from a little dragon embryo after receiving blood from papa Forneus (who didn’t know to “fear the old blood” like he should) The reason Grima is so big in Awakening could be because he has already engorged himself on the blood of the sealed earth dragons, manaketes (which is why the grimleal were going to sacrifice Nowi), and he probably ate Duma too since the “Demon’s Ingle” in Awakening is called “Duma’s Remains” in Japan (and thus taking Duma’s “Fell god” status by right of consumption).
(I can’t believe Grima is St. Aldrich of the Deep, you guys)
But if it is Naga’s blood that gave life to Grima...that’s pretty cool.
Because that means Grima isn’t Medeus or Loptyr 2.0.
But rather, Grima is what Naga would have become if she degenerated like the earth dragons.
Tumblr media
And that’s a pretty cool backstory if true.
RISEN BUGS STILL MAKE ME ANGRY AND IS A TERRIBLE IDEA THOUGH!

Rude Awakening Chapter 7
In which things get tricky.
Chapter 6: Error
Virion ran down the dim corridors of the barracks. He looked left, he looked right, he looked at his shoulders to make sure Kellam wasn't sitting there again, and he crept toward Howard's room. Surely he'd find something.
He peeked in and immediately regretted it.
Garish gold, gray and red patterns had been scrawled all over the room. The entire room had various clothes and bits of armor strewn all over, as well as other accessories. Virion wondered how he'd ever find anything in this mess.
He shrugged and figured he may as well try.
He started digging, rummaging, hoping to find anything that'd give the Cincinnatians away, when he heard a voice from above.
"Dude. What are you doing?"
Virion looked up to find Giratina standing on the ceiling, looking down at him with a sneer. He gulped and stood up straight, twiddling his fingers nervously. "Well, you see, I was looking for my bow and-"
He blinked. "How did you get up there anyway?"
Giratina scoffed. "Dark knight privileges. Now get out of my room."
Virion let out an audible "meep" sound before sprinting off, heading all the way back to Libra's room, where he found Libra himself pacing back and forth.
"Er, hey, any luck with Bartimaeus?"
"No. When I entered there was nothing there."
Virion sighed. "Great, ether they're on to the fact we're on to them or Panne was off her rock-"
He paused. "Hang on, where is Panne?"
Libra blinked. "I think she was checking into Valentia..."
"...Something could be up," said Virion. "We should check on her."
And the two headed off.
-------------
Once again by the waterfalls, Dialga and Naga were swapping stories of each other's worlds.
"And the humans can actually have some pretty good TV shows. Like Sailor Lunatone."
He stiffened, looked around, and waved one of his forelimbs. "Don't tell Palkia I said that."
Naga giggled. "I won't."
Dialga thought for a bit to change the subject before something came to mind. "More serious question?"
"Yes?" said Naga.
"Panne from the Shepherds said her people, the Taguel, were slaughtered by humans. Do you remember that?"
Naga grew somber. "Yes. It was brutal, merciless. I could only observe, but... It is hard to stay cold, to stay pragmatic in times like those."
Dialga hung his head. "I know what you mean. To me extinction by natural causes is only normal, but when a species turns upon another out of pure hate it is not. I remember when the Sceptile of my world turned upon their predecessors..."
Naga shook her head. "It's bad enough protecting the world from threats like Loptyr... And Duma... and Medeus... and Grima..."
Dialga raised an eyebrow. "You've told me about all the others, but not the last one."
Naga blinked. "I haven't? Grima is a foul creature, one born of a dragon corpse infused with the power of the divine by a madman. He lays waste to all and has the power to end the world if he wants to. But he must work through a vessel, and was last sealed away a thousand years ago."
Dialga paused, then looked at Naga worriedly. "Does he have any chance of coming back?"
Naga nodded. "Yes. Almost guaranteed."
"Then I will help stop him. And help bring the Taguel back too if I can."
--------
Panne listened to it all. She choked up, she froze.
Then she ran yet again.
------
Palika was sitting in the Yilissitol castle courtyard with Robin, both of them enjoying popsicles.
"These frozen treats you made are great, Valentina!" said Robin.
He furrowed his brow. "Didn't recognise the magic you used to make them though."
Palkia winced. "Er, Cincinnati specialty."
Robin chuckled. "What is it like for you back home, anyway?"
"Oh, uh. Lots of responsibilities to make up for the cool stuff, certainly."
She tried to think of anything to change the subject. Only one thing came to mind.
"So, you hear those rumors about that weird girl posing as Hero King Marth?"
Robin blinked. "I've never heard of such rumors."
"Oh, huh," said Palkia, taking a bite of her popsicle. "Well-"
She then realized exactly what Robin just said and spat out her chunk of frozen dessert. "Wait, what do you mean, you've never heard of her?!"
"Why's that so startling? None of us have heard of such a thing."
Palkia paused, racked her brain for a response to the scenario, then gulped.
"Robin?"
"Yes Valentina?"
"I'm going to ask you some very strange questions, and I need you to answer as honestly as possible, OK?"
Robin blinked. "O... kay?"
Palkia gulped again. "First, they told me your exalt got killed... Emmeryn, was it? How did she die?"
Robin grew somber. "An assassin from Gangrel murdered her in her castle one night... Gaius was lucky to not be framed for the deed..."
Palkia grew slightly pale. "G-Great... What happened to Gangrel, by the way?"
Robin scowled. "I chopped the bastard's head off personally."
Palkia grew more pale. "Yipe... Where'd you learn to do something like that? What even was your life before the Shepherds anyway?"
Robin paused, looking shocked, before hastily turning his head and shaking it side to side. "I... It wasn't pleasant... I don't want to talk about it..."
Palkia grew about as white as Robin's hair.
"Oh... Oh geez, that's rough buddy... Listen, I'll leave you alone to get through that while I get more popsicles, see you!"
Robin started. "Valentina, wait, I-"
But she was already gone. Robin blinked.
"What just got into her...?"
------
Palkia ran.
Panicked thoughts flooded through her mind. She had to find Dialga Giratina, Hoopa. There had been a grave mistake.
And now this world's end was nigh.
------
The four Legendary Pokemon in their true forms were gathered together, in a forest clearing, alone, with a barrier keeping out the eyes and ears of others. Dialga stamped one of his front feet angrily on the ground.
"What do you mean you and Giratina found the wrong timeline?! I thought you said this place matched your little video game perfectly aside from the lack of Pokemon!"
Giratina shifted awkwardly. "Well, um, bro, me and sis failed to account for-" he sighed. "Sis, you probably can explain better than I can."
"Okay," said Palkia, "so I prepared a little demonstration."
She wheeled in a whiteboard with crude illustrations and started pointing to each of them with her claws, beginning with a doodle of a forked line.
"OK, so the problem is that the game has two timelines, one where the heroes win and one where everyone dies horribly."
She points to some scrawled people of various shapes and sizes hopping from one timeline to another. "The only reason the timeline where the heroes win exists is because their kids, particularly Chrom's kid Lucina, went back in time to try to fix things. From what I've heard from Robin that has not happened, like, at all. Which is an issue because..."
She points to a doodle of Robin smiling with sparkles above his head. "Robin happens to be the key to the apocalypse."
"Wait, that kid? How?" said Hoopa.
"Well..." said Palkia.
She pointed to a second doodle of Robin surrounded by flames, grinning evilly with three pairs of red eyes having sprouted on his face, and with the head and neck of a demonic dragon with three identical pairs of eyes looming above him.
"Robin happens to be queued up to be the next vessel of a really nasty undead dragon demigod named Grima. Who is really big and evil and powerful and can also cause zombie apocalypses."
Dialga's eyes widened. "Grima?! That was one of Naga's nemeses she told me about! She said his return was imminent!"
"Wait, Naga said Grima was coming back like, soon?" said Giratina. "We're definitely in trouble."
Hoopa gulped, then shook his head and shrugged. "Welp, so much for that vacation, guess we should take the next plane or train or cosmic portal ho-"
"No we're not," said Palkia.
"Then what are we doing?" said Giratina.
"If Lucina and the kids aren't around to fix the incoming mess, who else will do it but us?" said Palkia. "I mean, we care about these people, especially after staying with them. We ought to help, right?"
"I most certainly agree," said Dialga.
"I'm up for it," said Giratina.
"Well when you phrase it that way sure why not?" said Hoopa.
Palkia smiled. "All right then..."
"Let's save this world."
