Guys I have been fucking obsessed with stardew valley the past couple of days (like I got it four days ago and I'm at like 30+ hours and I'm almost done with year one obsessed) so here is how I think the boys playing stardew would go:

Ruben found it first and was obsessed cause silly farm game and yaps about it enough that the others decide to try it.

Angel and Zach are (rightfully) offended and upset that you can't marry Robin cause she's unfortunately married with two kids. ("Bro they first thing they do is give you the hottest milf in the game and you can't fucking marry her???")

Angel is offended that he can't be a homewrecker and date any of the moms. (He finds out about the mods that make them dateable and downloads them instantly)

Ruben marries either Alex, Leah, Elliot Harvey, Emily ("literally why-" -Zach probably) or Sebastian ("what's with you and emo boys" -angel probably). He also gets to 8 hearts with Shane asap for purposes of blue chickens and he names all his animals unhinged shit (ie: slut the chicken, beef the cow, and dinner the pig). Goes in big on jam and wine.

Angel marries either Haley, Sam, Leah ("That's just diet Robin-" -Jon probably), Sebastian, or just decides that "I wanna be a godless whore" and dates everyone while avoiding the saloon/Emily and Haley's house cut scene like the plague. He's surprisingly thorough with farming and is constantly making bank. He's absolute trash at fishing and does not get how to not suck at it.

Zach marries either Abby, Leah (also for the reasons of basically Robin), Sam, Haley ("she was mean to me and I was kinda into it" -Zach probably), Harvey, or Alex. Sometimes also participates in being a "godless whore" when he feels like it. He's constantly broke ("literally how?" "Look all my money goes into crops and pimping the hoes" "you can give the hoes free shit from the ground dude-" "look man I was given 'make everyone like me' simulator. I'm gonna be sugar daddying the fuck out of this town."). He doesn't upgrade anything and barely gets a Coop and silo built before winter year one but he's got halfway through almost everyone's hearts by that time. Names the farm cat something funny like Concrete, Cheese Ball, Sparkles Emoji, or Keith.

Jon marries Emily, Harvey, Maru, Elliot, Abby, or Penny. He finds such joy in torturing Lewis by waving his shorts around at any chance he gets. ("Idk man there's something so fucking funny about it"). Bro is clint's number 1 hater and Willy's number 1 stan. He completes the community center in year one purely for the sake of the junimos and fills his farm up with animals as soon as humanly possible. When he gets the farm cat he names it some regal sounding name like William, Kathrine, Elizabeth, or Charles. He's cracked at fishing and does great in the mines and takes full advantage of how you dont lose your stuff when you pass out.

who do you go for in stardew valley? (im gonna guess... harvey or krobus? it feels wrong only guessing guy characters but none of the girls really seem up ur alley) also what skill do u end up maxing out first, if you've played multiple files? what kind of farmers do u end up making. r they self inserts or ocs. hi

HI GENO i was like how do you know ive been playing so much stardew valley recently and then i remembeted we are steam friends and ive also been. posting about it a lot LAWL ok so i do actually really enjoy harvey and krobus especially but ive never actually romanced any of thw guy characters they are completely uninteresting to me in that respect even though unfortunately i think they get to be more interesting than most of the women SADLY. a lot of my more recent playthroughs i have gone for krobus or havent pursued any romance options bc i jist like the grind more… i dont think ive ever even gotten to the point in marriage where u like have children at all BUT when i was very very into it in early high school i usually went for maru or abigail. and funnily enough on my current playthru im trying to go 100% on i actually married haley LOL idk why but i now find her very cute.. i feel like she didnt have much of an interesting like arc? infact i kind of enjoyed when she was much meaner to the player character and wish she stayed that way even after she gets closer to you but OH WELL i am just very charmed by her currently.

ummm ok im trying to remember for skills i think i usually end up maxing out mining first… i love the mines but ive never even reached level 100 in the skull caverns yet.. IM TRYING TO THOUGH. fishing is very fun but usually for the first year or 2 in a playthru its not what i focus on. AND my farmers are literally always self inserts lol i dont play many games w like character customization stuff so when i do i usually end up making a self insert.. though if i ever emd up playing bg3 i plan on coming up w just like an oc for it. here what i look like on my singleplayer file AND then how i look in the coop file ive been playing a lot w my friends which i actually prefer more to how i look in single player but ive been too lazy to change it..

I started playing sdv because my best friend (cue: he's everything to me you have no idea) recommended it to me and i had a game save where I was on fall but had 0 progress on everything except maru so I deleted it

On my current file (2nd one) i'm in the middle of winter year 1 and I already have a coop (2 chicken), copper axe watercan and picaxe (or however you spell pico and regadera in english) and recently installed a coop + already have the kitchen upgrade in my house and the mushrooms thing in the cave

Maru reminds me a bit of my best friend (it's the glasses I think) but Sebastian does as well (it's the depression and the black hoodie I tgink) and it's kinda fucked up bc they're half siblings but my inability to date him (my best friend) makes me very emotional about those to (and also Harvey and Shane. It's the glasses and depression respectively, I think)

I'm very Friends(tm) with most of the town but I need to befriend Clint FAST (I have 0 hearts with him rn) because I want to see the second 6-heart event of Shane aaaaaaaaaaaaaa)

Also!! Gonna ramble a bit about my Stardew experience don't mind me-

I actually started playing because I watched my brother play and thought it was super cool!!! I got it on my tab though and I can NOT play SV with touch controls I could never fish correctly and it was so hard to move around I ended up making like no money and only having a high friendship level with Sam and Haley because I couldn't afford to befriend anyone else (those two are my favourites hfdj). I had 0 progress on the community centre and I stopped by the start of year two. Flash forward a few real life years and I got it on my laptop which was SO much easier I bought a new fishing rod (had to sell mine because I had no cash) and befriended the whole town and finished the community centre and also got some mods so that I could marry Haley too and I have an in-game child and a fully upgraded house and a slime hutch on YEAR 3 AND I'M VERY PROUD OF IT FHJDKFJDK <333

Also sidenote I knew fishing makes a lot of money so I picked the Riverland farm on my tab but then could never fish so it was just really inconvenient - but now I have separate islands for all my things like, the animals don't need a fence they have their own island there <3

If you’re selling all these things to people, and helping people out, shouldn’t most people at least know ur a chill person? This mod gives a couple points toward your relationship to the citizens for every festival, for every thing sent in the box, and if you talk to people in a room with others, they all get a point or five. It’s very useful for keeping relationships going.

Longevity by RTGOAT

Repaces the game to make it more enjoyable to play for longer than 3 years-- in terms of “things are still happening”. Paces out content, adds new content, adds taxes at the end of the month so you don’t just amass a million gold easily, along with rebalanced prices to reflect how much the end product costs. Includes both More Crops Mod internally--totally optional, but included--and an internal mod that rotates through new character sprites dependant on weather and indoor/outdoor status. More crops adds several new fruit trees and crops and flowers. Converts alcohol/juices to sodas that gain sell value in mass selling. 

MCM is not compatible with Replanter, and you will have to manually do things with that. Also may crash if you have other things going on with it. 

Rest of the mod runs great if you don’t install MCM

Note: Seasonal Outfits and Longevity don’t mesh if you have a part of Longevity active--the alternating seasonal outfits. Just turn that off in the config.
