rp  pet  peeves / deal  breakers :  The “absolutely will not follow/interact” dealbreakers are whitewashing (yes, even if canon did it; looking at you, MCU Maximoffs), and characters who are pedophiles, Nazis, or rapists. I’m willing to make exceptions in cases where the trait in questioned was confined to one issue/run/writer/etc or it’s something that was added to the character long after their creation and the mun is NOT portraying that version, since I know it’s comics and shit like that happens (ex: what Morrison did to Talia Al-Ghul) and I’d be a huge hypocrite not to understand that considering all my hangups and hate around post-2008 Shaw. But if it’s something that is a huge part of the character like Killgrave, it’s just a HARD NOPE for me.  My pet peeves are MANY and would make me sound really judgey if I went on about all of them tbh, but one thing I see a lot in the superhero/villain fandom is characters not taking EXTREMELY powerful and dangerous beings seriously. Everyone wants to be that really special sassy person who just mouths off to the Biggest Big Bad with zero consequences and I find that really annoying. And as someone who has been on the end of it a few times, I definitely try not to do it to others. Shaw does canonically have a tendency to poke the bear or play with fire in canon due to his own arrogance, but I always have a clear understanding with the other mun that I understand he is opening himself to mega consequences and I welcome said consequences because I do genuinely love it when he gets what’s coming to him. But I also don’t like it when I feel he’s being used as a punching bag either by muses who realistically should not dare try this shit, let alone get away with it. I’m fine with it from some people for comedic purposes, and I am ALL for Shaw getting fucking roasted by the people who CAN get away with it, I really enjoy that, just there’s once in awhile someone who really takes shit way too far and it’s like. . .I don’t wanna be the asshole who has my character crush yours but what else am I supposed to do there? I also really hate when people try to force their own interpretation on my muse. 

plots or memes : I super duper love memes the most because they’re so good for quick fun interactions with low commitment, but I’m definitely open to plots that can carry a proper thread too

preferences  fluff,  angst,  or  smut : I’m not into any of these so much as Shaw just being comedically horrific to everyone on my dash. Like I just want everyone’s eyes to fill with regret because they looked at any response I wrote.

if you could choose a power, which one would you go for? i have a lot of opinions on powers. like usually towards the end of the school year i have my students debate supepowers using what they learned in physics class. so i gotta say my favorite power has got to be electromagnetism manipulation, you control that and you control almost all physical phenomena 

do you have any suspicions as to where the disappeared gang members might be? listen i’m a sucker for time travel, so imma just throw that out there... they are in the past... i’ve probably watched too much dark into preparation for the new season, so just ignore me.

what role would you play in your gang? okay so probably not the leader, but i am a damn good second in command, like i would totally rock that position.

Oof, I only just noticed I forgot to sign off the last two asks with my moniker – Pardon, my bad. I got too excited! Thank you, nonetheless, for answering both of them!

In addition to each question: I know exactly what you mean. It's oftentimes the most basic words providing the greatest challenge and you do try to dodge using them whenever possible. I also find myself struggling with "regularly" and "action", funnily enough, one word I can't even say out loud is "rural". It's like I'm physically swallowing the word while trying to pronounce it.

Onto the second ask: I personally only watched Jessica Jones, Daredevil and am currently on the second season of The Punisher. While my heart will always belong to Daredevil, first and foremost, Punisher, surprisingly comes close in ranking. It's genuinely so good, and I'd definitely recommend it to you, in case you haven't dived in yet. In terms of, where to watch, come their removal on Netflix, I could send you a website if you're interested!

Oh gosh, yes!! Any word that uses that many r’s is really hard! Rural, rurality bleh all the same horrible mess! But i think a lot of native speakers also struggle with it, so don’t worry about it :)

Oh yeah!! I actually watched the punisher too! I even watched it before daredevil so you can imagine my confusion to the whole story line lol. i actually had no idea what was happening and why frank was murdering that many people, but I enjoyed it nonetheless! I think it’s a very nice storyline and the addition of ben barnes is always nice, hehe! And i’m alright! I’ve got a few websites myself where i can find stuff! thank you though!

Hmmm difficult. I liked all the seasons, though season three was quite difficult to understand for me because i hadn’t watched the defenders, so i’d say either the first or second season! for jessica jones, easily the first season!! i loved killgrave as a villain and how jessica dealt with everything. i actually really disliked the second season, it was so much back and forth with her mother and idk lol.

Hmmm okay context: I've been writing Killgrave for a grip (his rp blog turns 6 this year ☺️) which started as a spite thing because when JJ came out everyone was like "noooo don't romanticize him" so I knew I had to write him. He's become very important to me (for very personal reasons that are none of your business) over the years, and of the various dynamic I've written him in VVD (Victor Von D.oom AKA Doc.tor Do.om) is by far my favorite canon character to put him in the orbit of.

So, hear me out.

I'm sure everyone that's been rping with me is tired of me talking about Emperor Doom but LISTEN!! It's my favorite Marvel comic aside from the first purple children arc in Daredevil, and it's purely for Doomgrave reasons.

Killgrave is normally the person victimizing others. That's kind of his Whole Deal. Marvel only rolls him out when they want to torture JJ again (lmao thanks I hate it) and writing him vs people usually ends very badly for the other person. He's an extremely OP character, and there are VERY few people who are immune to his powers. Of them, the one that most interest me is VVD because he takes advantage of this to do some tremendously fucked up shit to him (if you read it the way I do.)

He kidnaps Killgrave and experiments on him and uses his body to build a device that gives him the power to mind control the world. It's both a huge violation of his body and an humiliation against his own capabilities, which is usually the kind of shit that Killgrave does to others. Doom shows him his face, has complete control of the guy with literal mind control powers and shows absolutely no regard for him as a human being.

To me, there's no way that Killgrave doesn't become kind of obsessed with VVD. Marvel has NEVER touched on Emperor Doom except in passing, which I think is a shame because it's got really interesting potential, especially with some of Killgrave's more recent characterization where he's clearly really fucked up emotionally by his powers (JJ 2017?? 2018?? I don't remember the year but it was the last JJ run with Bendis at Marvel.) I can absolutely see Killgrave harboring incredibly volatile and intense resentment towards him, but I also absolutely can see a Stockholm Syndrome angle as well. To use his actual BODY in a MACHINE.... There's no way he didn't do some serious shit to Killgrave to figure out he needed all of him to power it, and with Killgrave's healing factor..... 🙈

Ugh this is all garbled but the bottom line is that Doomgrave is extremely appealing to me from the angle of Killgrave being incredibly obsessed (and yes, in love in his fucked up Zebediah way) with VVD because he is one of the only people in the world that can a) best him and b) control him. I think a lot about Killgrave's incredibly impulsive and violent behavior, and how he's ruled by intrusive thoughts, and just. God, a man that can make him feel like he's under control has got to be a relief for someone who's been terrified of himself for decades while trying to hide that underneath his lifestyle of caligulian hedonism.

Anyway, best Doomgrave vibe is Killgrave having big yandere energy @ VVD while Doom just simply does not give a fuck about him and finds him disgusting (but will still debase himself to satisfy his Urges if need be.) 😊

Okay might go off about Doomgrave here in a minute because I'm having a hard time getting sleepy and I'm feeling very unhinged and need to get this energy out. My god these bitches gay.

☀ What's an FC that you desperately want to play with? Why?

I don’t really pick partners, or look for partners, based on their muse’s fc.  I actually find tags like ‘wanted opposite’ to be more than a little offensive, to be honest, because what they say is that someone cares more about a fc than about the actual muse in question, and that’s just insulting to anyone who’s put more than 10 minutes of thought into their muse.  So I don’t have a list of fcs I want to play with.

☁ What's an FC that you refuse to play with? Why?

There are two that, due to some decidedly shitty experiences on top of my annoyance with fandom insisting that I have to find them attractive when I didn’t, that I’m massively selective with - to the point where I’ll only play with two specific people who use those fcs, and even then, I blacklist any and all fc posts.  And that’s Jen.s.en Ack.l.es and Ja.r.ed Pad.a.lecki.

☂ How does your muse spend a rainy day? How do you spend a rainy day?

For Vivian, rainy days are generally like any other day.  The rain might not even stop her from her morning run, depending on how bad it is.  And SHIELD gives not one shit about the weather when it comes to sending out STRIKE teams, so there’s no change in her day there.

Unless I have things to be doing outside my apartment, I like spending my rainy days with the classic tea and a book.  Depending on the temperature and how heavy the rain is (or if it’s blowing at an angle), I like to open my windows so I can listen to it and to get that nice fresh-rain scent.

☺ What's a character that you desperately want your muse to play with? Why?

I have a tag, “people Vivian needs to meet”, which is mostly MCU or extended MCU characters.  I’d love for Vivian to meet Jessica Jones, just because I think there’s some striking similarities there that could either lead to a grudging friendship or very possibly both of them hating each other.  I’d also kill to write her with a Colleen, either as two people who meet by happenstance or because Vivian’s studied kendo and iaido for years and I love love loved the fact that Colleen puts her students through real-world tests, which is something Vivian would be 100% about.

☹ What's a character that you refuse to play with? Why?

Specifically on Vivian, I won’t go near a Killgrave.  His abilities are 100% Vivian’s worst nightmare, and there’d be absolutely zero to gain from them interacting.

☢ Are there any ships that you would like to write for one day? Any that you wouldn't?

There are a few, which I’m not going to specifically name because I’ve yet to actually interact IC with the other person, let alone suggest to the mun that I’d kinda like to try shipping it.  If I can ever learn to actually balance multiple accounts I have a handful of ships I’d like to write over on my canon multimuse, namely Steggy and WinterWidow and maybe Romanogers.  I don’t think there’s any ships I wouldn’t write that don’t fall under the umbrella of topics I won’t write period.

I was tagged by @murphystartedthefire a few weeks ago (i can’t find the post anymore so i hope i am not remembering wrong who tagged me... if i am consider yourself tagged then), for the ten favourite characters from ten different fandoms thing. i wrote down why i chose everyone, because i couldn’t not do that tbh (i totally encourage other people to do this as well bc i love hearing people’s thoughts and opinions on things they love!!)

Daisy Lipenowski from higher ground: i am sure no one who has been following me for a while is surprised that she is on the top of my list. i adore her so much. i consider her a gift to the world okay. at some point shelby says  “You think if you tell everybody about whacking daddy with a seven iron, they’ll leave you alone.” about daisy, and it is such a good description of her. she is sweet and an amazing friend but she will destroy you if you hurt her or her friends, and she takes no ones shit. plus she pushes people away/hides by throwing her trauma out in the open and scaring people, which is definitely something i do a lot. (also i am sad this means i can’t include shelby merrick on this list bc i love her so fucking much)

Renee Walker the foxhole court: i am surprised she is on this list at all, and definitely this high tbh. she wasn’t on it originally, i only added her because i was having problems finding ten characters. but in retrospect it makes a lot of sense, she is everything i aspire to be in life. there is this quote “I am a bad person trying very hard to be a good person.” and i related to that so much. i know good people don’t come where i came from and there is this roughness and darkness in me that will always be there, but i am trying as hard as i possibly can to be good regardless of that. and it is nice to see a character who feels the same way, and who everyone thinks is really sweet even though she still has this darkness and always will. and she shows that it is possible to keep your ability to do and survive horrible stuff and keep the darkness that comes with it, while also being considered really sweet, and that is exactly what i aspire to be.

Alec Hardison from leverage: he is such a sweet person and it is so incredible. also aged out foster kid and i totally project my childhood abuse onto him, bc i need to believe people with that background can still chose to be kind and good. he is so sweet that it makes me upset.

Octavia from the 100: i loved her since the first scene she was ever in. some random background character said “that’s octavia blake the girl they found hidden in the floor”, and octavia has to be physcially held back to stop her from attacking that person. she became my fave right then and there. plus in the second episode she says “is this all you got? they locked me under the floor for sixteen years just for being born, this is nothing.” which was the moment she became one of my ultimate faves

Malcolm Ducasse from jessica jones: i have liked him since the beginning, but when we found out he was under killgrave’s control and what he was like afterwards, i just loved him so much. he is so sweet and caring and just a good person. his pain just made him kinder, which yk life goals!

Derek Morgan from criminal minds: tbh i mostly loves what he stands for. he was the first major character i ever saw in anything who was a csa survivor, and it meant so much to me. it is like watching that episode changed the world for tiny me. i cried so much about that. i had never related to someone that much before, and seeing that maybe someone knowing would not be the end of the world was powerful (i mean it took me like six years after that before i told someone, but still it did help a lot). also in a way later season he once said “he manipulated me into compliant victimization.” and lbr that is v important and smth that is so unusual for characters to openly admit, and i am so thankful we have a popular character saying that bc it is so important that people can hear that.

Zoe Graystone from caprica: she is the most badass character? like wow she is so smart and amazing and strong. and that scene when her father basically sets her in the robot on fire!!! and also omg for the longest time my icon on one of my other tumblr accounts was a picture of her during that scene when she says she is god. it has been too long since i rewatched caprica, but she is incredible and so v powerful.

Bruce banner: i just like him a lot okay, and think he is v relatable depending on what universe it is set in

Felix Gaeta from battlestar galactica: okay so i think technically kara thrace would be my favourite character from here, but i really love his storyline so much. like i love looking at what happens to him from the first episode until his last, and it is just one of the most interesting story development things to me, and he just mostly remains the same throughout it all, but everyone else changes

Jake Stone from the librarians: i am kind of really surprised he is on this list? it makes sense though. i really love how he is finally allowing himself to ramble excitedly about things he likes after hiding his interests for almost his entire life and lbr the major reason i watch the librarians is bc people get to excitedly ramble about geeky stuff they like!! anyway i clearly also love his lack of distrust and how fine he is with it. also he has said what is probably the most relatable quote that had nothing to do with trauma “let me explain something to you okay, just because you have a dozen degrees, doesn’t mean you know anything!” and that is just the type of thing i say when i have to deal with people who think they are better bc of their formal education, and basically do the whole academic elitism thing.

'"There's your schedule, key, and here's a patch." The staff member said practically throwing everything at her, but She just rolled her eyes at the rudeness.

"Patch?" She questioned, barely even hearing her own voice in the overcrowded hall.

"For your soulmate mark. Don't need you kids distracted while you're here. If you need another one to cover it up, go to the nurses station." The man said, barely sparing her another glance before turning to yell at the next student.

She collected everything and followed the map she got off the wall to the room she was assigned.

They hadn't told her how many students were assigned to one room, which worried her, but told her they could fit twenty in to one room if they wanted to.'

There's more than one vigilante traipsing the streets of New York at night, and Kilgrave was going to run into one of them sooner or later. Who said that it had to be Jessica Jones that he encountered?

 “Here I am, just walking along, debating where to eat and then bam, there you are! Performing feats of heroism! Come closer,” the man commands, “closer.” He leans forward, as if examining Matt’s features. His breath is warm and Matt can smell wine - a good vintage, a very good vintage if he’s not mistaken - from no more than an hour or so before. “Jesus,” he finally breathes, “you’re a vision and I can only see half your face. Take that mask off. Let me see your eyes.”

Matt reaches up, and does just that. He feels no more exposed than he had before, even know he knows he should, even though he’d vowed he’d keep the mask on at all times when he went out at night. “Fucking hell,” the man curses, and without warning his hands are on Matt’s face, tracing his eyebrows, his temples, his cheeks, “You’re not blind?”
