Alright, to the business at hand:

I'm going to attempt to keep this on the short side, since I can get long-winded and incomprehensible if I'm not careful, and I have a lot of queer theories, observations and headcanons to share. For, like, the entire cast of Lunar 1. So this might actually become something of a series...

Hypothesis: Dyne is gay. (Or possibly bi/poly. But definitely queer.) Or to phrase it another way, I don't think Ghaleon's feelings for Dyne are one-sided.

Exhibit A: Dyne steals Ghaleon's clothes like a smitten teenage girl.

In the second arc of Akari Funato's official Lunar manga "Vane, the Story of the Inheritance" we can observe a cute and casual mutual coat and cloak swap. This on its own would be paltry evidence--IF this were the only time Dyne has done this.

But no, dear reader. It turns out that stealing Ghaleon's clothes is not only something that Dyne has done as a character--IT'S BAKED INTO HIS VERY DESIGN.

BEHOLD.

On our left, we have one of Ghaleon's prototype outfit designs. And on our right, hitting the exact same pose, is Dyne's (Laike's) finalized character design. And what's that he's wearing? A suspiciously familiar sash! (Hell, even the creamy tan cloak could be the same one he so casually "borrowed" in the manga, some 20 years earlier.)

And going back to those panels from the manga, look how they're both so comfortable wearing each other's clothes. This intimacy is clearly the norm for them.

Exhibit B: --actually, I am going to have to do this in installments or I'll never finish it. And it's already been like almost a year from the first time you asked! :B (Also I'm reminded that writing long-form essays make me an anxious wreck. So I gotta stick to small, digestible bites.)

In my recent replay of LSSSC I noticed a lot of little things that add up to paint a broad picture, but I didn't take screencaps of everything. So I kinda need to scrub thru my stream vods at some point and see if I can get captures of the dialog I'm missing.

meeting suguru’s family for the first time was supposed to be intimidating. you had heard so much about them—his mother’s warm but sharp wit, his father’s quiet but intense presence, and his younger twin sisters- nanako and mimiko-who, according to suguru, were “born solely to make his life a living hell.” but nothing could have prepared you for the sheer chaos that unfolded the moment you walked through the door.

“there they are!” his mom greeted enthusiastically, pulling you into a hug before you could even step out of your shoes. “suguru didn’t exaggerate. you’re absolutely gorgeous.”

“mom.” suguru groaned behind you, his cheeks already turning red. “don’t scare her.”

“oh, hush,” she said, swatting at him. “she’s part of the family now. isn’t that right, sweetheart?”

you smiled, already feeling at ease. “depends on if you’re ice cream for serving dessert.”

his mom threw her head back laughing. “oh, i like her. suguru, you’re keeping this one.”

“she’s not a stray dog, mom,” suguru muttered, guiding you further into the house. “can we not make this weird within the first five minutes?”

“weird? we still have a long way to go! she still hasn't seen your baby photos."one of his sisters- probably mimiko-chimed in, grinning from ear to ear as she leaned against the wall. identical to her twin, she had the same sharp cheekbones as suguru but a mischievous glint in her eyes that promised trouble.

“oh, so we’re doing this already?” suguru sighed, dragging a hand down his face as the other twin appeared with a photo album. “you could’ve at least waited until after dinner.”

“nope,” she said, flipping open the album and holding it up for you to see. “look at this masterpiece. he looks like a baby coconut.”

you leaned in, trying not to burst into laughter at the sight of a tiny suguru with the most unfortunate bowl cut and an expression of pure betrayal. “i didn’t know i was dating a 90s boyband reject,” you teased, nudging him playfully. “why didn’t you warn me?”

“because i thought we agreed never to speak of this,” suguru grumbled, glaring at his sisters who were now cackling like hyenas. “you’re both evil.”

“evil? us?” one of them said innocently, batting her lashes. “we’re just preserving memories, nii-chan.”

his dad entered the room then, calm and composed, but you could see the corners of his mouth twitching upward in amusement. “they’ve been planning this since we heard you were coming over,” he said, offering you a handshake. “welcome to the madness. i’m surprised you’ve lasted this long with suguru.”

“hey!” suguru protested, but you squeezed his hand reassuringly.

“oh, i have my ways,” you said with a grin. “besides, he’s not too bad when he’s asleep.”

the whole family burst into laughter, and suguru groaned, burying his face in your shoulder. “why are you like this?”

“because you love me,” you said sweetly, patting his cheek.

“tragically,” he mumbled, though you didn’t miss the soft smile tugging at his lips.

dinner was no less eventful. the twins kept swapping stories of suguru’s most embarrassing moments, from the time he got stuck in a tree trying to rescue a stray cat to his middle school crush on his science teacher. his mom kept piling food onto your plate, insisting you try everything, while his dad subtly interrogated you about your future plans in the kindest way possible. suguru, meanwhile, alternated between sulking and glaring at his sisters, though he never let go of your hand under the table.

“so, how did you two meet?” his mom asked, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.

“she insulted my taste in beverages,” suguru replied dryly. “to be fair, he was drinking something called ‘zesty platypus fizz,’” you said, grinning. “it tasted like someone carbonated a lemonade stand, added a hint of burnt toast, and then whispered the word "pineapple" over it for flavor.”

“and yet, here we are,” suguru said, squeezing your hand. “clearly, you were impressed by my charm.”

“or maybe i felt bad for you,” you teased, earning a round of laughter from everyone.

after dinner, his mom insisted on showing you more childhood photos, this time with suguru’s reluctant help. “you might as well see the whole album,” he said, flipping through pages of birthdays, vacations, and random candid shots. “just get it over with.”

“oh, look at this one!” his mom exclaimed, pointing at a picture of toddler suguru covered in cake. “he cried because we wouldn’t let him eat the candles.”

“i was two,” suguru said defensively, though his ears turned red.

you leaned into his side, smiling. “you were a cute kid.”

“i’m still cute,” he said, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.

“debatable,” you replied, earning a mock-offended gasp.

as the night wound down, you found yourself sitting on the couch with nanako, a fluffy white cat curled up in her lap. suguru’s mom brought out ice cream for dessert, his dad offered you tea, and the twins were still teasing suguru.

“you’re part of the family now,” his mom said warmly, placing a hand on yours. “and if suguru ever gives you trouble, you let me know. i’ll straighten him out.”

“trust me, she doesn’t need help with that,” suguru said, sitting beside you and resting his chin on your shoulder. “she’s scary enough on her own.”

“scary?” you repeated, raising an eyebrow. “i’m the one dating you.”

“and you’re doing a fantastic job,” he said, kissing your cheek. “just don’t get too comfortable. they’re only being nice because it’s your first visit.”

“great,” you said, laughing. “can’t wait to see what the second visit’s like.”

as chaotic and overwhelming as it was, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of belonging. suguru’s family was loud, loving, and a little eccentric, but they welcomed you with open arms. and when suguru leaned in to whisper, “thanks for putting up with all this,” you just smiled and kissed his cheek.

“i like them,” you said simply. “they explain a lot about you.”

“oh, shut up,” he muttered, but his smile said he didn’t mind.

I write for a variety of fandoms, the main ones being genshin impact, ninjago, and cookie run kingdom (though I'm working on some Lego monkie kid and Nezha (movies) things aswell!

Ninjago Rewrite: yeah. 21 tab document with headcanons, charcter info, and the worldbuilding ive gathered. I haven't worked on it in a while, but I'm sort of taking Canon and expanding on it basically. (And tweaking some seasons such as crystallized- because I feel like there were enjoyable moments of it, the thing was overall a train wreck.) Will also be addressing questions about Wu+Garmadon+Lloyd dragoni heritage in my own way (Ft. The First Spinjitzu master)

The moons can be company: Dragons rising Lloyd centric, just a lot of oni + dragon headcanons because I have seen like every single dragoni lloyd In the world and I need my food so I guess I need to cook. I'll also probably bring Morro into at some point? Alongside Harumi (This has been put on hold since I'm waiting for dragons rising season three) deep diving into found family and all the charcters.

To Bottle Lightning: Dragons rising and Jay + Jordana centric. Thinking about how my guy got his memory yoinked, shattered his soul, worked a 9 to five, and joined an evil furry cult and shattered his goodness and all that. Also the effects of Jordana's possession and running away from imperium, and everything that shes gone through and how shes never really gotten recognized for her accomplishmemts and been seen as expendable. with Jay being like a sort of father figure to Jordana, and also Wolfcat, Sora x Jordana because lesbians. Could have master of lightning Jordana, but I'm on the fence about it because I'm not sure how I would work that concept in.

CRK K-Drama AU/Crash Landing On You: this is one of my most amusing ones. Its for Cookie run kingdom and a Pureshadow fic where basically I take the gay cookies...and drop them in the most stereotypical k Drama office romance in the world. Also standing behind my belief that shadow milk could get better (just. Needs a LOT of time and talking) (Bro is a bitchass mf who can't do emotions and Pure Vanilla can't be expected to just immediately forgive the guy for his zesty misdeeds, so yeah. Doomed cookie yaoi turned undoomed)

(Extra note- i described it to one of my buddies as 'Shadow Milk and his evil posse are found after a short while after beast yeast episode 8. Shadow Milk is still injured from Pure Vanilla cracking the soul jam, and the three are rehabilitated' it's highkey giving mha villains rehabilitation au...the flashbacks...)

The Cat And The Fox: Genshin modern au!! Basically my wretched son Scaramouche is in the foster care system and bullies a ginger (Childe) into sharing his nepotism baby apartment. Lots of shenanigans and being written as crack but I plan to beat people to death with a baseball bat of angst somewhere along the line. Very found family.

I will not let you destroy yourself: a generally Canon compliant genshin au with Kaveh and Alhaitham starting to date each other and going through it. I just need them suffering and also cuddling.

Xiao gets hugs: placeholder name, but a silly zhongchi marriage au where the wedding is being planned and Xiao is hating on Childe because he's ginger and gay. Also has Xiaother on the side! My gay children

MY PERSONAL ART TIPS! A big thread I'll be adding to

I too, was once a 10 year old gacha kid whose only drawings were a way too detailed catgirl persona and friends. I didn't have much in-person or online inspiration and help for a long time! So I'll help others earlier in their art journey (and perhaps the masters too, never not a good idea to try some advice!)

So let me spare some of you a few of the unnecessary mishaps during everyone's art life.

If you've never seen my blog before, hello! My name is Clara. I'm a neurodivergent teen artist, aspiring animator, and resident cat person. It's nice to meet you! If you'd like to know who you're taking advice from, here is some of my latest work!

Now without further ado, LET THE HELP COMMENCE!

STROKES: Fix stiffness in your poses!

To start off, a BIG thing I recommend for newish artists, is don't be afraid to draw loosely! The looser the lines, the less stiff the pose. And stiff poses are a very common issue within the community. Sure, your anatomy may look bad for the first while of drawing looser lines, but it will help you be more confident in strokes. The more confident the stroke, the more efficient an artist. The more efficient an artist, the faster you learn.

To practice loose lines, simply draw a long line as fast as you can. Over and over again. I know, that may seem boring, but it helps train your hand and arm to be faster. But if it's so much a hassle to do in your free time, then do it on the side of a worksheet if you're in school, or a sticky note if you're at work.

Speaking of practicing...

PRACTICE MAKES BETTER: Get over it!

I said the phrase wrong, didn't I? Oh wait, no I didn't. NO ONE IS PERFECT. And don't forget that! There will always be issues, problems, and mistakes in your art that you don't realize until the day after you've shared it with everyone you know. The artist is always their worst critic. So the best thing you can do is to keep at it. Practice your weak points to support the composition more, hone in your strong points to better make a focal point. Practice will always help, even if you don't see it. A slow pace is better than no pace!

"But Clara, what are my weak points? How do I know what I always mess up on!?" you may ask...

ANALYZING YOUR ART: Pros and cons!

Well, pick your latest finished piece and tear it apart (NO NOT LITERALLY OH GOD NO PLEASE-) I mean analyze it. Grab your pen and a separate paper, or just your notes app, and make a list of pros and cons in it. Doing this with multiple pieces is especially important, as with multiple examples, it's easier to find a pattern.

How about this, I'll give you an example!

Here we have a piece I made a few weeks ago. It's of my Western AU of my main cast of OCs. TIME TO NITPICK!

WEAK POINTS

- The clouds are too detailed compared to the rest of the composition

- The right horse seems very stiff (I already am aware I struggle with drawing animals nowadays)

- The funky hatching I did with the plateaus in the background just isn't working out as well as I thought it would anymore

- the god damn horse on the right

- The sky in the middle just seems far too empty. I could have added more indication of the sun at the top to add more noise

STRONG POINTS

- The color palette I chose blends well while having the colors still be sharp and clear against each other

- The entirety of the woman and her horse on the left

- The glitchy effect adds some zestiness to it that I love

- The whole thing looks quite cinematic, with a successful wide shot and the black bars imitating that of a movie's

- The inlines of the otherwise completely flat-colored silhouettes help define the overlapping shapes quite well

And there you have it, 5 pros and cons each I found in something you probably only noticed were little to none. No, I'm not bragging, it's an actual psychological phenomena where the artist notices so many more intricacies than the average outside viewer. Your mom isn't hanging up your art out of pity, GET THAT OUT OF YOUR HEAD! People love your art so much more than you do.

Ive been wondering, and this latest update about your cats made me more curious, why do your cats not get along? does Miss babey actually hate being near her brother, or are they both just dramatic babies like my own cats are? Cats can be such adorable little weirdos sometimes.

Caboose actually LOVES Miss Babey, but he gets too zesty and tries to chase her or follows her into the kitchen/bathroom/cat run where she starts hissing and swatting, but we don't have to actively separate them unless he won't lay off with that.

Miss Babey is INCREDIBLY dramatic and before we adopted Caboose, she lived with an older male cat who was SMALLER than her (who she could push around) and then for a month or so she was an only cat and got VERY used to it.... She's gotten much better about tolerating him, though, and they'll accidentally sit on the same surface and HAVE both napped on the sofa with me, or both spent the night on my side of the bed (on opposite sides, though- Miss Babey by my right leg and Caboose on my left arm lol)

I think a lot of it is that she can't bully or push him around, because he's a bit bigger than her and lightly bapped her when she swatted me bc he didn't want fighting in the colony (but doesn't realize he'll also smack ME if we take too long trimming her nails and she's crying lmao) so she tries to throw her weight around more, but we've had her since she was young so we do NOT know where her weirdo behavior came fromm
