once you manage to convince him tho he'll try so hard to stay awake all night long and in case he does fall asleep and have a nightmare he'll try his hardest to not wake you up and he might even move to the couch if it was a rly bad one :')

you find out at some point ofc and dabi feels so weak and childish for being so affected by his dreams. he's very caught off guard when you don't judge him but proceed to comfort him instead.

the way you hold him after he wakes up with bloody tears slowly rolling down his cheeks once again quickly becomes his favourite thing 🥺

he would never admit it but he kinda looks forward to having nightmares now bc it means you'll hold him for the rest of the night and run your fingers through his hair while mumbling reassuring words and reminding him of how much you love him :3

NO NO NO BECAUSE— imagine dabi nodding off but then jumps awake cursing himself for nearly falling asleep with you beside him, he pinches the bridge of his nose shaking his head while reminding himself to stay awake.

the last thing he wants is to show you an uncool and weak side of him, this boy wants you to know only the badass side of him.

at some point though you did find out about this little detail and while it would be just fair to accept him not wanting to open up with you yet, it made you sad that he had to restrain himself out of fear that you would be bothered by his awful past that still haunts him.

“you know, if you want to sleep go ahead, i don’t mind.”, you tell him testing the waters to see what his answer will be and how you’re gonna proceed then “i’m not that sleepy, i want to spend more time with you princess.”, liar. he has been yawning since he came an half hour ago, it’s so obvious he’s tired and you were happy dabi wanted to spend time with you, but his health was way more important right now.

which is why sighing heavily you surrounded his neck with one arm, then resting an hand on its side you pulled him down to place his head onto your lap “we’ll spend plenty of time together when you'll wake up, now sleep.”, he widened his eyes blinking a few times before trying to lift himself up, but you forced him down once again glaring at him with pursed lip. dabi knows you wanted to look menacing, but he couldn’t help finding you adorable instead.

the villain was truly so thankful you wanted to help him, but this wasn’t bound to end well and shit– despite him trying so hard not to fall asleep, he felt so damn comfortable and relaxed with his head on your legs while you pet him so gently, like he’s made of glass.

after he fell asleep, twenty minutes later, you felt dabi start shiver while gritting teethes suddenly; your eyes looked away from the book you were reading to glance down at him “t-the flames... i can’t– i can’t stop them...!”, you heard dabi mumble in his sleep as he started to tremble so much it seemed like an electric shock went through his whole body, what made you even more worried were the tears of blood streaming down his cheek as he was holding back from screaming at what he was dreaming.

whatever it was though you could see it wasn’t a nightmare like every other one, dabi is too deep into it to the point his body was almost convulsing as his pants became gasps, like he was struggling to breath and that simply broke your heart.

but as of now it was better to wake him up, leaving down the book, you gently rested one hand on his shoulder leaning down to his ear “dabi, baby...”, you said softly while caressing his upper arm tenderly, feeling relief wash all over you as his eyelashes fluttered briefly against your legs before he slowly opened his eyes still dazed.

after a second dabi noticed right away the blood stains on your shorts, he raised right away from his laid position, a bitter scowl on “fuck! sorry y/n, i–”, the villain got cut off by your sudden hug that left him speechless “it’s fine.” “princess–” “it’s okay to cry in front of me, don’t keep everything inside...”, he snorts closing his arms around your waist holding you tightly while burying his face in the crook of your neck, inhaling deeply your scent that always managed to relax him whenever he had an hard time, just like your presence did “i’m fucking uncool though, and also tainting your shirt with blood...” “i can wash it, you know?! besides... you ain’t uncool just because you’re crying, you’ve suffered dabi and your feelings matter, more than anything else.”, his heart fluttered at hearing your words, just like that more blood started to stream long his cheeks as a broken sob left his lips, you felt tears build up in your eyeline blurring your sight as you started to slowly caress the back of his head “will you stop love me after this?”, he dared to ask with hoarse voice, never pulling back, too embarrassed to look at you and you noticed, that’s way you were the one to pull back, looking into his eyes “if anything, i’ll start love you even more now.”, you answered while cupping his cheeks and running your thumb across his cheekbone, scrunching your nose teasingly at your boyfriend who was left, once more, speechless by your honesty and genuine love for him.

dabi rested an hand on the back of your head, getting a confused look from you, before pulling you onto his chest and hugging you again; eyes wide staring in front of him as his cheeks slowly turned red and heart started hammer hard inside his ribcage.

maybe crying and having nightmares wasn’t as bad as he thought as long as you are by his side, cuddling him.

Anyways, here are some of my thoughts! My memory is terrible though so they’ll probably be a little out of order and I’ll probably miss a bit. That’s fine though, it’s not plot analysis.

This man is #notmyallmight and tbh pretty ugly? Like I didn’t think I would miss all of the deep creases and heavy shadows on All Might’s face but he looks weird without them.

The goth woman in the spider web dress is kinda pretty actually I vibe with it

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, Izuku sleeps tonight…

He’s like “okay phew I’m good I’m stable like this” and immediately plummets to his doom. Like that whole sequence in the tube was so funny, and then you think it’s over but it’s snowball time! Plus Soggy Deku is adorable, he looks like a wet cat (affectionate)

They did my boy Kaminari SO dirty throughout this whole movie but I was especially disappointed at this part. Mineta I understand, even after they toned him down in the 6th season, he’s still a pervert. But Kaminari is so much deeper than that and has had so much character development, and they decided the perfect happy little daydream for him would be women in bikinis? No way. What little we did see of him in the movie was so shallow.

The other daydreams though? Hoo boy😮‍💨

Todoroki’s perfect daydream is him with his family, being happy. Him, scarless, playing with all of his siblings INCLUDING TOUYA while his happy parents sit together and watch them with a smile. I swear if that little scene was on screen any longer I might have teared up.

Shouji’s too, like oh my god. His is a world where he was accepted for who he is and he and the little girl are happy and he doesn’t feel like he has to hide his face behind a mask because he never got the scars in the first place😢

Idia’s being him and Tenya being heroes together. Because that was his dream. And he can’t have it anymore.

Momo you’re adorable, please never change

Deku’s being him with all of the All Might merch and a hero who believed in his dreams from the start🥲 and then OFA User 1 snapping him out of it? Vestiges for the win, again

Speaking of, I love how much they had him using all of the vestiges’ quirks throughout the movie. My boy has grown so much🥰

That whole scene though was really cool, the way it was set up like a doll house? I enjoyed that, I wish we had gotten to look at it a little longer. Looks like Hagakure’s was being visible and having all of the outfits, Uraraka’s was floating on a cloud, Jirou’s was rocking out with her guitar, and Sero’s was doing some kind of Spider-Man tape shit idk. Wish I remembered what Ojiro’s was

Dark Might using a rotary phone to make a video call and then immediately taking credit for the name Dark Might? Cringe

HAWKS OH MY GOD LOOK HES THERE TOO

Fr Hawks got a lot of screen time throughout the movie, most of which was really not necessary or particularly relevant (not that I’m complaining😜)

Maybe a little bit unclear when in canon this takes place? Largely when you consider the little moment after the credits

The movie was intense but also had a lot of. Moments of comic relief which I really appreciated! It was super well balanced

But I just got the BIGGEST My Hero Academia spoiler about Dabi and im having a whole conniption right now😭

And I wanna talk about it SO BAD but I don't want to spoil anyone else bc spoilers suck and most ppl hate it.

Back when I first started watching MHA which was just like a few months before S6 was released, when I first saw Dabi's character I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with him.

Now...I'm not someone that goes out and looks for spoilers cuz I don't really like being spoiled. But sometimes I get spoilers anyways 😭 but it doesn't bother me too much, mostly bc 9 times out of 10 I'll completely forget about it by the time I get there in the show anyways lmfao (the ADHD habit of literally forgetting everything 5 seconds after it happens)

But the ONE and ONLY time I actually purposely sought information/ spoilers was right after Dabi was introduced and I wanted to know absolutely everything there was to know about this man, and I was too impatient to wait for it to come up in show (especially since this was before S6 release so TECHNICALLY him being a Todoroki was still a spoiler for anime only ppl)

Therefore, I dug up everything I could and there are lots of things I know about Dabi's back story that even still are not in the anime, however, THIS information that i just got was very much so new to me😭😭

And while maybe this might not be as big of a spoiler as I'm making it out to be, it certainly feels that way as a Dabi fan

I don't even know any of the details, or how it happens, or when, or what triggers it, I just know the singular detail of information and that it's from the final arc

And again, maybe I'm over reacting 😭 cuz I really love Dabi SO MUCH and this bit of info just like is such a game changer. And it's really such a slap in the face to Enji (deserved) and also it's like...So fucking awesome, but when u really think about it, it's a bit sad in some ways?? Bc of all the trauma he had to go thru in order to get here, and how that really could have been avoided if Enji wasnt such an abusive father.

And also like.... the relationship this could have created between Shoto and his older brother🥲 I know Dabi hates him because of the favoritism Enji played and Shoto got everything that he felt like he deserved, and all of the attention that he craved. But like honestly i wish for nothing more then for them to have the wholesome sibling relationship that I see is fanarts😭😭 bc both of them deserve so much love, especially after how they were both abused by the same man, just in different ways. And I feel like, if Touya had been allowed a normal childhood, this new info would have created a bond between them that just would have been so sweet and wholesome 😭😭

I just want him to feel loved🥲 but I'm like fr losing it over this spoiler even tho it was a such a tiny piece of information and I just needed to say SOMETHING while still trying my best not to spoil others

This wasn’t the first time he did this. After missions, sometimes Dabi will stop by your place to seek refuge, not feeling safe anywhere else. You didn’t mind, and within a few minutes, you had a Cup of Noodles ready to go for him. Even though he’d laugh and say he didn’t need it, within a few minutes he’d shut up to eat, chopsticks in hand. The two of you would watch shows or movies until you were too tired to stay awake, either crashing on the couch or moving to your bedroom, holding each other until he left the next morning to attend to other business. However, tonight was nothing like those nights.

You heard a knock from the door, arising from the couch to open it. Nobody hardly ever knocked on your door, so you were pretty certain you’d see him standing there, hands in his pockets, asking slyly if you were lonely. Instead, Dabi stood in front of you, holding one of his arms, his blood staining his fingers, smaller cuts on his face. Before he could even think of a witty remark, you grabbed him by the collar, pulling him into your house, bombarding him with a number of questions: “What happened?” “How did this happen?” “How did you let this happen?” “Are you okay?” Your concern made the scarred man laugh laughtly, telling you, “You’re cute when you’re worried like this.” Looking at him with seriousness in your eyes, clearly having no patience for his jokes, you pointed your finger towards the couch, assertively ordering, “Sit on the couch, I’ll be right there.”

He hardly ever saw this side of you; usually, you were shy and quiet, barely even having the confidence to look him in his eye when he spoke. The idea of you telling him what to do was almost arousing, since he never experienced this from you before.

Dabi was shaken out of his thoughts when you reached for his arm, being as gentle as possible. “While I clean this, can you tell me what happened?” you ask in a hushed voice, one that he was more used to.

He moves his arm out of your grasp, leaning forward to look at you more closely. “You know, you don’t need to do this. I’m fine,” he insists, looking you in the eyes. You return the glare, pouting your cheeks ever so slightly.

“No, you’re here and you’re bleeding. I’m not just going to let you sit here and possibly hurt yourself further,” you declared, holding out one of your hands, inviting him to let you help. “Now, can I clean your arm?”

Rolling his eyes, Dabi sighed, realizing you weren’t going to give up unless he listened. “You know, you’re really annoying when you want to be, little mouse,” he scoffed playfully, placing his hand in yours.

“This is probably going to hurt a little,” you warn before gently touching a damp cloth to his arm, earning a light wince from him. Apologies pour from your lips as he chuckles breathily, leaning back onto the couch.

“You worry too much. It’s fine,” he consoles, allowing you to continue. After making sure it’s clean, you press a gauze against the cut, beginning to wrap a bandage around it to keep it secure. Dabi sits up ever so slowly as to not disturb you, beginning to get lost in thought as he watches you take care of him. Nobody had ever really done this for him, at least not recently. For years, he had been on his own, more or less. While the League of Villains were technically there, he didn’t feel secure relying on them. None of them would allow him to crash with them as long as he wanted, feed him, or dress his wounds either.

“Can I clean the ones on your face, too?” you ask, Dabi taking a second to lock eyes with you again. “Go for it,” was all he said, having no objections when you sat on his lap, taking his jaw in your hands.

“Well, damn. Didn’t expect it to go like this. You know, you really didn’t need an excuse to sit on me,” Dabi teased, snickering when you shot him a look. “You’re lucky you’re hurt,” you jokingly threatened, shutting him up by addressing the cuts on his face with the cloth.

Again, there you were, acting so soft towards him. How could he, a villain, even deserve this treatment? Nobody had dared get this close to him, and you knew what he was. You knew what he did to people. How is it that you could ignore all that and take care of him like this? Was it out of pity, or did you really love him? Why would you love him? What did he do to deserve your kindness? The way you avoid his scars with careful precision, your delicate hands on his face, trying to make his wounds better. This is a simple thing you do when you care for someone, right? If that was the case, maybe you do love him. You love him enough to trust him to stay in your house whenever he needs it.

Maybe, he should trust you too. After all, not just anyone would be so gentle with him, treating him like a human being and not the monster he thought he was.

“Mouse, have I ever told you how I got all these scars?” he blurted into the silent atmosphere, making you jump and sit back to look at him.

“No, I don’t believe so,” you answer, remembering how you’d ask and how he’d narrow his eyes and ignore you. Nothing made him shut up quite like that, and you realized very quickly to just leave well enough alone.

He told you everything. From his troubled family history, to the goals he used to have of becoming a hero, and his quirk not being compatible with his body. As he spoke, you held his hands, listening to every word, doing your best to keep tears from welling up in your eyes. It broke your heart to hear him explain everything that happened, wanting so badly to take all the pain away from him. You also fought the urge to smile proudly, knowing he trusted you enough to explain the things you wanted to know for so long.

You hold his arm in your hand, running your thumb over the scars so gently, comforting him as he explained. You wipe the tears from your eyes, not wanting to interrupt him.

“Wait, oh shit, are you crying?” Dabi asks, holding your chin in his hand to make you look at him. He gives you a comforting smile, chuckling breathily. “You know, you don’t need to cry. You didn’t go through it, did you? It’s still cute, though.” Whining, you lunge forward, wrapping your arms around his neck.

“I’m sorry that happened to you, Dabi,” you whimper, holding his body to yours as his arms enclose around your smaller form.

“Ah, you don’t need to apologize,” he laughs, soothed from your response. “Just call me Touya from now on.”

dating touya todoroki, would consist of

having a late night car rides (this is prob expected bc who is touya if there are no late night car rides) sneaking out of his house at the dead of the night. he only does it, just bc he wants to see you and he likes the thrill.

he would be the type to always make you break the rules and whisk you away from your home. he would def say "life's too short, doll." like damn sir, whatever you say🧎🏻‍♀️

and god those parties his family throws every celebration (rich fam fr), he looks so good in a suit, a black tailored one, with his white hair and his fucking stance too! mf knows he looks good. bored out of his mind, but then you just came along, your hands with your father, in a pretty dress. he might be insane, he can hear the wedding bells, his eyes wide and dazed. not noticing you have gone closer to him, letting out a little giggle "Well, hello there mister", smiling at him.

fixing his posture and collecting his composure. mf was so stunned to speak, you're so pretty in a dress and just might ask for your hand in marriage right this very instant (mf really forgot abt your father beside you😩)

touya todoroki KNOWS how to dance, i take no criticisms, i rest my case. like have you seen that man?! i just know it. he would grab your waist, when the music plays and slowly lead you to the dance floor and looking at you with his bed eyes (got me blushin for him) your hands on his shoulders and his gaze is so intense, it makes you shy. "Look at me, doll" his hands coming to your chin, gently tilting your head up just so he could see your eyes.

he would also be the one pulling you to his car and just drive away from the party, just the two of you. windows down and music playing in the background, this kind of freedom you only experience with touya.

touya todoroki would definitely, skip his business meetings for you and waste his time on you. he never regrets any moments spent with you. and you would scold him for bailing out on meetings just to hang out with you, he would prefer getting reprimanded by you instead of his father.

touya todoroki would spend his money giving you lots of gifts, cheap or expensive? it doesn't matter, he wants to show you how much he thinks of you on a daily and would prob buy you everything if you ask for it.

touya todoroki, would definitely talk about you with rei. he would tell her how much he loves you, dropping things he notices about you. that sometimes when he looks at you, he would think how he is so lucky for you to pick him. how someday he wishes he could spend the rest of his life with you. and his mother would just sit there and listen with a small smile on her face. his eldest son, genuinely happy and just so in love. (would def love you, just from his stories and would suggest in meeting you.) when he told his mother would like to meet you, you were shocked and almost had a heart attack. mf just dropping a bomb at you like that.he would casually ask about your day and just randomly say it.

you love him sm, who doesn't like this man really?? his scars, his eyes, his voice, his pain, all of his light. you love him, and the feelings inside your chest are so overwhelming, even words we're not enough to describe it.
