Something else that I really love that the movie did was that basically sank all the discussions, the theories and talk about Luigi being jealous and resentful of Mario that fans have been memeing and joking about for literal years.

In fact, Luigi in the movie is the one who’s praising and admiring Mario the most, he knows that his brother has big dreams and has a heart of gold, he knows his brother is amazing and he loves him for that.

Does he have low self esteem? Yeah. But there is absolutely not a single bit of jealousy towards Mario, Luigi adores him far too much to ever be jealous/spiteful at Mario, Mario means the world to him.

WORD. They are each other's #1 fan and no one can tell me otherwise. 😭💖

Their sibling relationship is honestly so healthy and pure, I'm unbelievably glad that this is the direction the movie has decided to take in the portrayal of their dynamic. 🤧 The wholesomness levels are through the roof with these two and I honestly couldn't be happier for it.
