I'm sorry I've been so absent. Work has been absolutely hellish for the last few months and I've been devoting a lot of time to self care, which has included cutting my social media use to almost nothing haha. But I couldn't miss this week (even though I'm late 🙃)!!! Y'all are still one of the best things that has happened to me, and I'm forever grateful for our beautiful Bellarke fam! I love seeing your lovely faces and everything you have been up to! You all are such wonderful souls! 😘😘😘

These pics are from my bestie's birthday weekend back in March! Her friend is a pilot, so the weekend included a joyride for the 3 of us in her cute little plane. 😍

Taking a break...

Hey Bellarke fam, this is specifically for all of you. A (very) few of you may have noticed my lack of interaction on here of late. My life is very mad (totally self-inflicted) right now and something's got to give. I have decided to become a mere voyeur on social media for now. This means that while I am still occasionally popping onto my platforms, I'm not engaging at all. To put it plainly, I need a timeout. For now, I'm focusing on what's outside, like walking with my family on weekends (as this picture shows).

honestly, the sequel to running with fire, i live like a liar. i would have loved to do more in that au, but i just don't think i ever will

oh boy, i don't know! i really love locklyle and juke and kanej, and adam/caleb, but i am not sure i can really choose an all-time fav

i think i do action/physical motions pretty well? i like people doing the things so much! partially because i can see the fics as movies in my head most of the time

what are your writing weaknesses?

i struggle combining the thoughts and emotions with the actions, because i can write one or the other but then putting them together is sometimes a struggle

thoughts on writing dialogue in a another language for a fic?

i have done it a few times for jatp, with the Molina fam speaking spanish, but it's mostly simple words like they use in the show.

Happy BFSN!

Wow I haven’t done one of these in a long long time, but considering it’s the last ep, it’s definitely time. First, since my last bfsn post, my hair has gone from pink, to red, to purple, to blue to this greenish colour hahaha so enjoy the current hair colour (that is probably never going to wash out oops).

I’ve been in this fandom since about 2014, starting as ‘bellarkebc’ and I doubt I’ll ever find a fandom experience quite like this one. After curating my experience a little, I found such a kind, welcoming group of people and I am so grateful for that family that was always on my dash making beautiful gifsets, artwork, and fanfic - and especially for all the supporters. Although the show didn’t quite turn out as it could, Bellarke is ours now and will forever be ours. I love all of you guys! Here’s to a long few years.

As you can see we've had another bout of snow, and according to the weather forecast there'll be more during the weekend. I'd better bring out my winter boots soon so I don't have to walk on eggshells on the slippery parts of the ground.

In class we've now moved on to food photography, and this shot is from when we played around in the studio this morning. We're suppose to set up our own ideas for a shot this coming week and I'm not sure what kind of delicacies I should choose for it. I'm thinking something simple is the way to go...

There's been so much going on, but the biggest thing recently is my older brother got married last month! The picture on the right is the wedding venue (before we set everything up). And to make things even more special, at the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, we got to see the Northern Lights!!!!!! We are in the Southern U.S., so never in my life did I expect to get to see them. It was magical. 🌌

I don’t usually do posts like this and try to keep to myself when shows do me wrong, but I’ll make exception tonight. 

I won’t say anything that haven’t already been said. I’m sad, angry, bitter and very, very hurt. I didn’t watch episode live (because of time zones I always watch them later), but I run to check Bellamy’s ‘alive’ status on the 100 wiki as soon as I woke up. And it’s funny because I didn’t believe those spoilers that were circling around for a second but i still needed to know for sure so i could be productive all day - which by the way I wasn’t, fuck you JRoth for that too I had plans to do some important work stuff. When I saw the world ‘deceased’ it was the first time in my life when i understood what ‘my heart sank’ means. Like I physically felt it.  For the entire day wherever I got a chance I was reading everyone’s reaction here and spiralling between denial, sadness, anger and denial again. I even cried at some point (good thing I still work from home, because that would be hard to explain if i were in the office surrounded by people). 

This is the most betrayed I have ever felt by the show, for the most part because this is the show I stayed the longest with and had the deepest emotional connection to. And Bellarke was always IT for me. They were THE OTP, they were the ones I thought about at least once for ever single day for the last six years of my life. They were the ones that brought me joy and more importantly hope! They always brought me so much hope. And I loved spending time thinking about all the ways they could have their happy ending (or tragic ending but together). Bellarke was already so much canon for me, that I didn’t actually needed it to be canon canon. And they are the ship were I equally fiercely love both of them. That’s exactly why what happened hurts so much. 

There are just two points I want to make very clear (so i wouldn’t have elaborate and make this post longer than it needs to be):

1. Bellamy Blake deserved his friends to believe him/ support him/ give him benefit of the doubt. Bellamy Blake deserved resolution and meaningful death (if they insisted to kill him so much). Bellamy Blake deserved EVERYTHING and more importantly more respect from the show that wouldn’t even stay so long on air if not partially for him.

2. Clarke Griffin WOULD NEVER DO THAT. Clarke Griffin deserves better writing. Clarke Griffin deserves not to have her entire character trashed to be the plot device used to ‘shock audience’. I’m not even for a second mad at her, because that’s not Clarke and we all now it.

3. Bellarke was written as romantic couple, we’re not delusional, it was all there. It only never happened and got ruined in such a horrible way because Jason is psycho, I guess.

I’ll finish the show, because there’s literally 3 episodes left and I want to see this trainwreck to the end (and there’s characters I still care about), but I no longer have any hope left for any kind of happy ending. I have seen a lot of people wondering if Bellamy might still be alive or come back somehow because literally nothing about his death makes sense (and some of you make some pretty good points and even i could make some based on the things in the episode), but at this point I refuse to torment myself with false hope. If Jason somehow pulls miracle out of his ass and undo this in a way that not only Bellamy will be alive but Clarke didn’t actually kill him and this entire episode was just some weird fucking dream Picasso had, than we’ll talk. 

I don’t know what kind of lesson Jason tried to taught us with this and frankly I don’t care. If it ‘never love anything ’ then jokes on him, I’ll love thing and Bellarke together and separately even more now. 

The only thing I did learned from this is that if a person acts like a dick for six years, he won’t suddenly change just because you want him to come through for once. That’s the consistency in character. Wish Jason would use it in his own writing.

So it's really the end huh?! I wasn't planning on posting anything cuz it hasn't really hit me yet tbh and I'm terrible at expressing myself but after reading the posts i was tagged in(@geekyogicheese @broashwhat @natassakar @igotbellarkeforthat @wankadi @poppykru @realistic-breadstick @talistheintrovert ) i felt like i couldn't just let it pass without joining this last bfsn.

Firstly, the biggest thank you to @igotbellarkeforthat who was the first person i ever sent an ask, right after i created this blog(after s6 finale), and encouraged me in such a sweet way that i felt welcome in my first fandom experience ever and I'll remember those interactions forever. 💞

Secondly, a special thank you to the bellarkes on discord who made my journey in this fandom 100% better and worth it and brought me a bunch of amazing&lovely people that i hope to keep in touch even after this is over cuz you guys gave me the sense of belonging I had been wanting for a long time and didn't expect to find it online. 💗

Thirdly, a thank you to all of the incredible-freaking-talented content creators who dedicated tons of their time and always got our backs when things got rough, and will be the ones keeping the fandom alive from now on, you guys are immensely appreciated 💖

And lastly, a thank you to my old followers/mutuals who liked my blog even before i posted any original content, and ofc my newer followers who like/rb my edits and wallpapers, y'all made me feel worthy to be a part of the fandom as a creator and i love you! ❤

Hi Sunflowerkru !! How are you ?

First of all, a very nice year to all my mutuals and followers! And especially to you, bellarke fam, may this year 2023 be sweet and merciful... My pictures are from last year (this is the Auvergne, a region in the center of France) and I hope to be able to go back there next month. South Africa is finally coming to the end of its state of disaster ~ two years after it was implemented. Things feel quite normal right now. This is a recent pic of me and some friends at a St Patrick's Day gig at a local watering hole. It felt wonderfully normal.

Happy Final BFSN everyone!!! I don’t know what to say except it’s finally over but this is not goodbye. Tags and explanation below.

Words cannot express  my love for the amazing, wonderful, and truly phenomenal people I have met in this fandom. I have grown so much as a person since the start of this show. I wasn’t fully immersed in the fandom until I think around season 3 but I have watched since day one. I hadn’t been sure if I was going to participate tonight but the ever wonderful @carrieeve tagged me in hers and I said fuck it! This is BELLARKE selfie fam night, which just like Bellamy, means it’s ours!! 

I hope you’re all taking care of yourself in the aftermath of everything, whether that’s completely removing the show from your life, taking comfort in fluff, or letting it all out in some angst. I’ve accidentally fallen into a new oneshot which will definitely be one of my fluffier ones before I head back to the hurt/comfort fics I’ve been working on! I’ve also been blown away by being nominated for four (4??) fics for the Bellarke fic awards!!! I feel very much in my own little bubble sometimes and I’m so moved by people nominating me. Especially the world building one omg you get a million virtual hugs if that was you. If you’ve somehow missed all of those posts so far, they’ve been a great resource for me to build up my marked for later list and just completely lose myself in Bellarke. This fandom, while a rollercoaster of its own, continually puts out so much amazing content and I’m honored to be able to be a part of it and enjoy it. You’re all stars!

So, life/photo dump?? I feel like I blinked and 2023 was over. I did not make it to as many BFSNs as I hoped, but I still love y'all so much. ❤️

There's been lots of good and bad in the last year. We lost my sweet soul dog Abby in March, just a couple weeks after her 12th Gotcha Day. I still miss her dearly.

I spent a lot of precious time with my family and friends, and helped one of my besties get married in August!! And my older brother is marrying the love of his life in May this year! Love all around!💕

I got a promotion over the summer and it's been really good, but we're understaffed so it's been a looooot of work. We were just approved to hire some extra people, so hopefully things will ease up here soon. I really love the work I do, and I want to be able to do it for a long time. 😊

We had Snowmageddon a couple weeks ago! I think they said we broke every record for snowfall in our area back to around 1910? It was the most snow we've had in a single day since they started keeping written records, and then we had a deep freeze so it stuck around. I think final totals were between 10-12". Schools were out for 9 days!! It NEVER snows like this where I live, so we don't have the equipment and means to clear the roads quickly and get around safely. It was nuts. The picture of my car is from the end of Day 1, and it was still snowing at that point. The last snow picture of my yard at night was from the end of Day 8.

In the midst of Snowmageddon, my dad rescued me in his truck so I could go see the touring Broadway Wicked (twice 😃)! And it was magical both times. ✨️💚

Big days for me. I have two weeks of holiday, my application for work appointment (so to speak) is proceeding and I signed a lease for a new office space today. I feel like such a grown up, it's strange and scary.

Well, I guess we're never paying attention to canon again as bellarke fans, but you know what? I'm okay with that. The worlds people have created in this fandom through their art and fanfiction have given me infinitely more joy, and that's what I'm choosing to focus on. It's hard being someone who isn't keeping up with episodes (wanting to watch them at the end of the season) knowing that what's coming my way is going to be painful, but I'm trying my best to not dwell on it! Instead I have a busy day ahead of getting a new tattoo and going to work - no time for more jroth bullshit. Though I do sincerely hope Jessica's directorial debut goes well, she's amazing
