Smooth leather runs on the pads of your fingertips, the acceleration of the car is met with the light buzz of the stereo playing a joyous tune. Cool air blew through the vents of the Cadillac relieving you of the scorching heat from outside. New York was experiencing one of their most intense summers that your parents decided to send you and your sister off to stay at the family cottage while they delt with their business back in Manhattan.
Amelia slumps her forehead against the window, the sound makes you turn to look towards her. Pin straight hair falling to her shoulders as her hazel eyes glaze over the cars racing amongst each other, her hands were neatly in her lap with her fingers fiddling.
“What’s wrong?” You ask, recognizing her nervous trait.
Her shoulders cover in her red cardigan drops in a shrug, face emotionless and lips straight. Her aura radiating annoyance and disdain. Your eyes look away from her, teeth clenching down on each other as it’s your turn to stare at the flying vehicles and forestry.
You knew why Amelia had a sour attitude and was speaking little to no words since the beginning of the week when your parents dropped the news. You felt the exact same way too, however as her older sister; the one she’s suppose to go to when she’s upset, sad, or starving —stop confiding in you ever since she’s turn twelve and began to see the true relationship you both share with your parents.
Disappointing would be an understatement about how you felt towards them. They filled their life with money and luxury that when bringing children into the world, they believe that would suffice for how they care towards them. From maids training you to ride a bike, to them missing your sixteenth birthday because they had to visit one of their successful companies in Europe, those memories haunt your mind with the fact that you never really knew your parents, never were really loved by them, you just had their money and that’s all that meant.
“We’ll try to make the most of it.. Okay?” You say, eyes still looking at the wheels turning on a beige sedan passing by, hand tearing away from the leather and taking her fumbling ones.
“Don’t worry.”

Amelia and you spent the next two weeks of June lodging out in the country house; doing manicures on each other, watching romantic comedies, and making trips to the mall, you were happy to be indoors. You’re not a fan of the heat, the feeling of having sweat run down the underside of your arms or the sun boiling on your skin with no breeze to cool the burn, you hated it. So, when she suggested to spend the afternoon at The Hampton Country Club to take advantage of your parents membership, you let out a high pitch whine that only made your sister scold you at your behaviour.
“I can’t believe you act like this and you’re nineteen,” She huffs, hands going to her hips looking at you unamused in the door way. That makes you squint your eyes at her, tugging yourself out of bed to get ready for the day. You only hope that the heat is bearable and to at least get a good tan out this.
The chaffier brought you both to the residence were men in white collars and ladies with pin up hair and doe smiles walk with excitement onto their destinations. You smile politely at the staff members as you check in and make your way toward the swimming pools.
“You might have just a picked a good day to get me out of the house,” You noted, water surrounding you as the sun hits you just right.
“Told ya’ so,” Amelia sings, a smile spreading on her plump lips, hands brushing out in front of her as she treads water.
You both were submerged in the chlorine mix, Amelia doing laps around the pool as she dunks her head in the water with baby blue goggles, you had your back against the tiles and fingers resting against the smooth stone of the court yard.
A small laugh leaves you, your eyes skimming against the crowded landscape looking over the many people talking; drinks in hands with expensive jewelry on. There’s a light cheer from a middle age group of men as the Yankees make a home run by the bar, high fives and drinks thrusting into the air.
“Men.” You mutter, rolling your eyes at your sister.
That only made her giggle, eyes flickering behind your frame as a smirk adorns her features. Wet hair sticks to her ears as she tugs the goggles up. “Speaking of…” She mumbles, her body moving over slightly when she kicks her feet. “This guy has been staring at you for like five minutes now,” She spills, brows wiggling which only makes you snort.
“He’s cute too,” She remarks, that has your eyes bulging and causes your smile to drop, you’re about to turn your head but she reaches for your elbow. “Don’t look now!” She squeals, making you both break out in laughter.
“You can’t tell me a cute boy is looking and not to check him out,” You chirp, fingers drumming against the pavement now nervous.
“Do it subtly,” Amelia says, her hand leaving you and turning to resemble your position.
You side eye her, of course she would say something like that after dropping a bomb on you. But, you waited, eyes scanning the atmosphere again slowly turning your head to look behind you. Vision falling amongst a tall curly hair man; billowy linen shirt with sleeves rolled up as blue denim trousers hung from his waist. The three men that he’s standing with laughing at something while he’s lifting his beer bootle to his lips staring back at you, the bones in your chest thumbing when you turn away to look at your sister.
“Oh my god,” You mutter dumbstruck. A million thoughts erupt in your brain; he was more than cute, he was handsome, as if God created him as your perfect man… and yet his eyes are set on you.
“You’re already planning your future kids name,” Amelia laughs, her index finger pointing to your expression that make you look smug at her.
“Oh please,” You sigh, head knocking to the side as you can now sense his gaze. It’s taking everything to not make contact again, so you decide to turn your whole body towards your sister. “For all we know he could be just like these rich freaks in here,” Giving her a pointed look, she shrugs her shoulders and dips back into the water, her arms leaning out as she pushes back.
“True but… he’s cute.”
“Touché.”
Being around older men since the age of 5 made you have a questioning stance on them. Grey hair, grabby hands, and dirty intentions were apart of your life since you were thirteen and it never helps that they are your parents business partners. However, he looks roughly around your age, maybe a year or two older and definitely the most attractive man on the grounds. The only thing you can think is how you’re suppose to ever speak to him, let alone be in his presence.
So, instead you let your thoughts eat you up with the pounding in your heart reaching your stomach, trying to convince yourself that he could’ve looked at anyone. Still, the little fairy on your shoulder with halo and pointed wings screams in your ear to try and get his attention, only making your fingers curl into each other, tugging yourself out of the water.
“Going to the change room, don’t leave.” You say to Amelia as she floats on her back with her eyes close. Her response is her hand leaving the pool to give the thumbs up in your direction.
You smile at your nonchalant sister making your way towards the lodge chair, you take your towel in hand to dry off your body, the soft material soaking the water droplets up enough to satisfy you to the point you set it down and slip on your sandals, peeling the light cotton cover up along your shoulders to somewhat hide your pink bikini body. Your hands grasp your woven beach bag to find your black sunglasses to perch them on your ears and shade your eyes.
The pads of your sandals sound against the smooth service as you walk on top of the cobblestones stairs, body pushing past people and giving faint smiles when you step by. Your heart beat picking up when you pass the mysterious man whose gaze burns on your face. Alright… so he was staring at you, the nerves bubbling in your stomach even more.
From the small glimpse you catch of him he was even more charming; straight perched nose stood amongst his hollow cheeks, jawline sharp with hair curling around the nape of his neck. You want nothing more than to run your fingers through it, wondering what he smells like or how he takes his coffee. It was ridiculous how your mind was so already wrapped up by this brunette who you didn’t even know, how his appearance has you in a chokehold.
The crisp air meets your skin immediately cooling you down as you make your way past the indoor bar and head towards the locker room, eyes roaming amongst the bulletin board next to the door frame. Your attention being caught by the flyer with a gold background with black font. 007 themed night, advertising poker and alcohol to all members this Saturday.
“Will you be there?” Deep voice questions, the sound making you jump slightly with your head turning. Loose curls cover his forehead, his eyes roaming over your features especially your lips when you let your tongue escape your mouth to wet the flesh.
“Maybe.” You say, head turning to break contact. Feeling lightheaded, your brain was going blank just having him stand next you.
Fingers twist on top of each other, eyes looking at the other slips of paper pinned to the board as the bag hanging in your hand seems to feel heavier by the second. Your mouth starts salivating because you don’t know what to say or do, teeth tearing away from your bottom lip as your gaze looks away from the flyers and steps through the locker room. The faint sound of him saying “wait” is heard when the door slams shut, your palms grow with sweat for the call of your presence.
Tumblr media
Cream silk dress flows down the expense of your body, spaghetti straps with small diamonds sewn into the fabric glistening amongst the chandelier in your room. The taupe kitten heels sound against the floor boards as the lace of the bows on the pointed shoes catch in the garment, you look at yourself in the mirror.
“What if he’s an axe murder?” Amelia ponders, the sound of the popcorn bag ruffling next to her as she digs into it.
“Why would he be one?” You reply, hands smoothing over your stomach while you check to make sure your makeup was in tact with curls still bouncing in volume.
“Don’t know,” She mumbles, mouth full of kernels as she kicks her feet on top of each other. You ignored her response and brought your finger to your lip, wiping the corners of your mouth for any remaining red lipstick bleeding over the edges before pulling away and turning to your night stand.
“Don’t stay up too late and please make sure no mess when you leave,” You lecture, hands grasping your satin shawl to throw over your shoulders.
“Of course mom,” Amelia says with a roll of her eyes as she turns up the volume of Scooby-Doo.
With clutch in hand you made your way over to her and press a kiss against her head, leaving out the room to the warm Cadillac waiting for you in the driveway. The ride to The Hampton was filled with light chatter between you and the chauffeur about how summer was going and what the night would entail. You couldn’t help but wonder as well; if you saw him what would you do? Run and hide like on Tuesday? Or fall to your knees in weakness by how his beauty bestows you with his presence.
Just like your younger sister your fingers fumble over each other, eyes darting around the dark interior to try and gain control over your nerves raking through your body. Million thoughts running through your head as you tried to grasp some self control. You really put yourself in the position to go this party with the slither of hope you would run into him.
Yet, there was no more room to question the idea when you pull onto the property. Adam taking your hand to help you step out of the car. You thank him before making your way up the familiar steps, stomach bouncing with nerves as you try your best to not get your hopes up.
Warm light radiates the room, men with greasy hair and black tuxedos held women with bumped ends. Waiters holding trays of food as waitresses hand out flutes of champagne or retrieving to the busy bar for personal orders. You smiled to one with ginger hair and pearl earrings, taking the flute of alcohol when stepping deeper into the room.
A band was playing a light tune that had a small crowd of couples dancing while some chatted sitting by the decorative tables. You were skimming over the faces, eyes searching for the pointed nose and plump lips but was always disappointed when you were met with a moustache or chummy smile.
Half an hour later, you found yourself next to a drunk women with pinned curls telling you about her adventurous date she had with a music engineer today. You listen attentively until you felt a warm hand place itself on your lower back, the earthy scent of pine trees and citrus fills your nose as you turn your head slightly to see an elbow placed on the edge of the counter. Thick gold rings nestled on three of his fingers, black button up covering the expanse of his chest, hair shiny and falling over his face so beautifully.
“So you did come,” English accent filling your ears. He could not get any more sexier.
“I did.” You admit, hand raising the glass to your lips and drinking the sweet liquid.
“You look beautiful,” He says, voice low as he searches your face. The powder blush on your cheeks holding no effort when your own skin blooms at the compliment. Wanting to play it cool, you decide to push the nerves down and let the little bit of alcohol in your system control you to get to know him.
“Thank you… Don’t look bad yourself,” You respond, smirk tugging on the ends of your lips. The hand on your back rubs up and down as he turns away from you.
“Scotch on the rocks,” He says to the bartender, his hand on the counter going into his breast pocket to peel out cash. “I never got your name?” Looking back down on you, the only thing playing in your mind is the fact he called you beautiful seconds ago.
“Y/N,” You said, eyes roaming amongst his features as you wanted so badly to nestle deep in his chest. He nods his head, hair swishing around his ears as he smiles at you. Straight white teeth with dimples poking proudly, it made your heart flutter trying to gain some self control.
“Harry. Harry Styles.” The angelic man who had stayed on your mind for the week finally revealing himself. You smile at the name, it suits him; just like the way his fingers felt over your skin suits you.
“You’re very handsome Harry,” You confess, fingers drumming against the delicate base of the glass as you stare at him. No longer shying away from the ideal but taking it with force.
“And you Y/N… I couldn’t get you out of my head since I saw you.” Harry reveals. Making your ears perk up, you can’t believe your crazy thoughts were true. He was thinking about you just as much as you were thinking about him.
“Come with me,” He says, his hand moving from your spine and pushing your chair back as if you weigh nothing. Without second guessing his words, you follow him towards the table of men gambling.
As he took a seat you weren’t expecting him to pull you onto his lap, the warmth of him radiates on your skin as the dealer shares the cards. The men at the table were completely unfazed by your presence as Harry places his glass on the coaster, one hand on your hip while the other took the numbered paper.
“Do you know how to play?” He asks, eyes looking at his hold as he licks his lip. You shook your head, fingers going to tap against the table. “You’re no fun.” He chuckles, making you smile nervously, your clear almond nails glide against the polished lumber.
Harry spent the rest of the night teaching you the game and letting you play, his voice vibrating on your back each time he told you what to put down. Adam’s apple flexing when he swallows the brown liquor that he shared with you for the remainder of the party. Poker chips are set out in front of you as his hands drape along on your hips, head in the crook of your neck as you show him his cards.
“He’s bluffing,” He whispers into your ear, your chest hammering when looking at the two aces in your hand. “Say you’re all in.” That makes your eyes bulge slightly, turning to look at him. His jaw is tense, eyes lock on the pile of colourful circles with the dealers hand in the middle of the table. You notice fading bruises at the back of his ear, stomach twisting a bit until your attention is pulled away by him rubbing your skin.
“All in, aces fold.” You state. Putting the cards down on the table, you hear the loud groan of the old man with an obvious beer belly next to you. Harry was taking home sixty-three grand yet was completely unfazed by it, nonetheless you were happy; beaming smile set upon your face as you did a small dance in his lap.
“Did you want to play again?” You ask, the gentlemen at the table sitting up in their chair when you feel him shake his head.
“Let’s leave.”
Once again, without questioning him you follow suit. Letting him take your hand to bring you outside to the front of the building, the summer air warm over your skin making you feel giddy with the alluring man next you. The lamps on the property held a beautiful glow amongst the stones, the stars lit brightly in the sky that make you smile.
“Never see stars this clear in the city,” You observe, arms swinging by your side whilst Harry walks next to you. “Where are you from… mysterious man.” You snicker, a smile tugging on Harry’s lips as he slips his hands into his pockets.
“England… Holmes Chapel to be exact,” You beam at the new information.
“Is that where you live?” You ask, the liquor in your system wanting to intrude.
“Sort of. My mum is back home and I’m normally down here with my father,” Harry reveals. The jiggling of his keys sound in the space, you both standing in front of a red Corvette. “Let me bring you home.” He insists, car unlocking as he goes to the passenger door peeling it open, and without a fuss you’re taking the seat.
The coupe thunders awake, the radio immediately coming alive and playing Jimi Hendrix, you let your head rest against the cushion being welcomed to his car smelling even more like him, that you wouldn’t mind staying in it for the rest of the summer. The engine growls when peeling from the curb, the high beams lighting the road ahead as you tell Harry where you live.
The windows peel down and let the air from outside seep into the space, his foot is pressed heavy on the gas, the car speeding down the empty road filled with trees with your hair flying around as you look at him; jaw tight with his hands over the wheel, he took a long glance at the road before turning to catch you staring at him.
And maybe it was the alcohol in your system or the fact that you had this beautiful man next you, that it seemed to have completely dull your senses and swoon in a matter of seconds. That couldn’t help but let yourself roam over his features: the way his ear curves, how his eyelashes were so long, to the way his eyes were glossy from the alcohol in his system that it made you act on yours and lean in to kiss him.
It was a short press of your lips but the sweet feeling electrifies you when you pull away, biting his bottom lip to tease the English boy. That only made his stare even more intense, eyes flickering from the road to your body now sitting back against the open window. The acceleration of the car only letting more wind seep into it, making you smile at the carefree feeling controlling you that you don’t second guess your movements when you fit through the open space.
Your head leans out as your hands fly in the air, the satin shawl flowing in the wind. The weightless feeling of being relaxed by hanging out the window and trusting Harry enough to do so. The warmth of his hand spreads amongst your thigh, rings piercing your skin that make you sigh at the feeling. You wanted to be locked away in this moment forever, wigh the liquor in your veins as the air rushes through.

Harry and you spend the rest of summer together, his red sports car will peel into the driveway nearly every single day to stay with you or bring you to wherever you wanted to go. His presence would make you jittery and gleeful; the way his hands would wrap around your hips when he hugs you from behind, how he would ask you what your favourite sweets are and surprise you with them the next day to then how he’s so playful with Amelia and her teasing ways.
You were completely in awe of him, how he came into your life so unexpectedly that you couldn’t help but to be. Each day being met with his bright smile and beautiful voice you wanted nothing more but to spend all your days with him. The fact that he was so charismatic yet so generous at the same time, buying you unnecessary things or taking you on luxurious dates just because he felt like it only made you even more confident that he felt the same way about you.
Today, Amelia wanted to go back to the country club to play tennis with her friends who came down for the weeks nearing the end of summer. Harry drove the three of you to the white building, you watch her run into the club house while you grab the blanket from the trunk and Harry grabs the picnic basket.
Both of you made your way along the field of the property, deciding to move in deeper near the crowded trees for more privacy but just enough you can still see the tennis court. You’re laid amongst the checker throw over, Harry’s finger running along your hip as you bit into a strawberry. His eyes were close, head lying against the blanket as his other rests on the underside of his stomach, and as the wind picks up it blows through his hair that shows the familiar bruise by his ear.
“Hey Harry,” You breathe, eyes still lock on the purple hues expanding on his neck. He hums, the rest of his fingers meeting to draw down your side.
Every time you look at Harry from certain angles you would always catch these bruises there—ranging in different colour and size— even sometimes finding them littered by his elbows. Every time you saw these marks your stomach would twist in sorrow, not knowing the reason why they were always on him.
“What’s this bruise on your neck?”
The question floats in the air, the movements on your hip halt and you watch as his jaw clenches. His eyes are still close when he begins drumming his fingers now. The feeling of the familiar ball forming in your throat when you’re on the brink of tears shows up, your eyes flickering amongst his face waiting for his response but he just sucks in a breath.
“My dad…” He mumbles, you almost couldn’t hear him from how low he speaks. “He’s an angry drunk. Wants me to go to medical school… be just like him.” He confesses, his eyes opening now as he stares ahead at the sky.
Your heart shatters at the words; this sweet perfect boy that makes you feel ecstatic by his presence was being abused right in front of you. Your heartbroken, a lonesome tear running down your cheek hearing the confession.
“H—Harry I’m so—“
“I don’t want to talk about it.”
Making you bite your tongue immediately. Your fingers curl in on each other, forgetting about the berry in your hand as you drop it, leaning over in his hold to place the pads of your fingers on the bruises. Head immediately dipping down and sinking your lips onto his, the taste of him burning on your flesh. Because, fuck, if he wasn’t going to feel love at home, he will feel love by you.
“I’m so glad I’ve met you H. You mean so much to me.” You mutter against his lips, the hold on your hips grows tighter. You don’t want to speak out of turn but want him to know that you appreciate him, that what he’s going through he doesn’t deserve.
“I love you.” You say, confessing the never ending feelings that soar through you every time he’s around you. You were his when you first saw him; that day always playing in your mind with how you were in his gaze just at the right moment for you two to meet and fall for each other. You didn’t even care if you were rushing saying those three words, you want him to feel how he made you feel.
Fingers curling into his hair you press your lips back, the sweet juices from the strawberry mixing together with his taste, you couldn’t help the moan that leaves you. The hand on his stomach glides up your arm, making the hairs on your skin stand up by the touch. Harry lets his weight over power you, rolling you to lay on your back.
White tennis skirt is bunched up at your hips when he lays between your legs, hands now on either side of your head as he licks into your mouth. Flesh burning on each other as you exchange fluids, the heat of him radiating on your body pressing himself into you. You’ve only been kissing for few seconds yet he was already semi hard.
Almond nails card through his curls when he pushes deeper against you, hips rolling along your heat as you wrap your legs around him, loving the way he tastes on your tongue and ignites your body. Your breath comes out short never wanting to let your lips leave Harry’s, wanting the feeling of his mouth on yours within seconds every time you pull away for air.
“I love you,” Harry reveals. The words echoing in your brain making your heart grow in happiness. The three months you spent together; loving each other in the moonlight of your bedroom, shopping sprees on a quiet Monday, taking you for dinner back in the city just because ‘he felt like it’, those moments built your love for each other. The submission so easy from just from the call of your name, how he made you feel so safe and cared for, he made you feel love that was unconditional.
Lips slick with spit trail down your neck, one hand gliding down your side to fumble against the lace on your hips. Your eyes peel open, Harry’s curls catching in your sight as you look up and see vapour trails from the air crafts flying above. His fingers grip on your flesh, tugging the cloth down your thighs to immediately run them over your pussy, a whimper escapes you, head turning into him to reciprocate his kisses.
Warm digits run against your folds, thumb pushing against your clit drawing heavy circles making a moan escape you, lips breaking away from his skin and digging your head against the blanket. He continues his motions while his hips gently runt against your thigh, his dick now hard and causing a red mark to burn on your skin from his jeans.
“Harry,” You moan when he slips his finger into you, the thickness of it stretching you out.
It coats itself in your wetness as he dips in your walls, thrusting into you slowly as you unwrap yourself around him. You couldn’t believe you were letting him do this to you right here out in the open! A part of you was scared that someone would catch you but another part didn’t really care, the way he was on top you, sliding down your walls so deliciously you wouldn’t mind if someone was watching you come undone.
“Baby,” Harry mutters, head leaning to the side to watch your expression; light sheen of sweat was forming by the temple of your forehead, lips parted and breathing in shallowly, eyes staring up at the sky as you feel every wave of pleasure with each push.
The branches move with the leaves when the wind blows through the space, it casts shadows along your greedy bodies as you feed off of each other. You hum at the name, fingers dig into his shoulder blades as you continue to feel yourself release over him, his finger now at a perfect rhythm so you begin rocking your hips to the same beat, Harry’s clothed cock now following the same tune as well.
This was it for you, this was the moment you want to live in forever. You and Harry; young, dumb, and in love. Trusting each other with hopeful hearts and painful tears while making love under the chem trails over the country club. How your body longs for his touch, lips patiently waiting for his kisses to greet you home, and eyes to lock with his green ones were you would feel the butterflies pour in. This was love.
“I want you… please,” You rasp, eyes fluttering as you turn into him, the wetness you expel running down your folds and onto his knuckle from how deep he’s bury into you.
Nose brushing into your warm cheeks, Harry nods against your skin. Finger slipping out of you, he leans back on his knees, unbuckling his belt and sending them down his thighs with his boxers. That’s your turn to sit up on your lower back, hands peeling your lace panties down and throwing them by the end of the sheet. God, you couldn’t imagine how you both look in this moment from afar, two horny young adults rubbing against each other and moaning with spit coated lips.
A smile shines through you when you lean back down, hands going to Harry’s jaw as he sinks back onto you, his expression resembling yours. The feeling making your stomach clench with the way it was so easy to get lost in each others touch, it took nothing but a skim of his finger running down you to have you curling your toes begging for more.
With mouths open, tongues linking together, Harry rubs himself against you, the crown of him gazing your clit has your fingers twitch against his jaw before running into his hair. The head collects the wetness dripping from your folds, running it up and down your pussy until finally slipping in, only making you break away from the kiss with whimpers leaving you.
“I love you,” You moan, his lips bite down on your bottom one.
Harry hips plunge into you, his dick dragging down your walls and settling there for a few moments, he lets you adjust to the fit before drawing his hips back to sink in again. The pleasant smell of him mixed with his sweat fills your nose only making your head knock back deeper into the ground, fingers tips feeling over the ends of his hair to slip down his knitted polo.
“So perfect,” Harry groans, the plumpness of his lips press against yours as your body shifts with the blanket during each thrust. The hand he has by your head only brings itself closer when they curl around the sheet in pleasure.
His green eyes gaze amongst your face coming undone by him with each movement of his hips. He watches the way your eyes slowly close when he fills you completely, hears the way your breath quivers when he draws out, feels the way you expand around him to then guide him back in. He loves the way your expression looks completely spent. Neck blushing red with pleasure expanding all the way to your cheeks, lips bitten red and bruised, the hand he has placed on you hip is now leaving indents each time he sinks in.
The heavy pressure in your gut throbs at Harry’s hips meeting yours, it’s building up and boiling around the edges that it has your nails sinking into the fabric of his shoulders. Eyes fluttering with head knocking back into the checker sheet as he litters kisses down your neck glistening with sweat.
“You’re mine love, all mine,” He says against you, hips jutting into you hurriedly as his head is nestle in the crook of your neck, fingers dragging down your hips to cup your ass.
“Yes all yours,” You mumble absentmindedly, focus on the feeling crawling up your spine making you arch your back into Harry’s chest.
Your stomach twitches, legs begging to close when your climax overthrows you. His dick was buried into you beautifully, fitting in just the right places that it had your mind in a different reality. Your attention is a fuzzy warm mist floating through you. Toes bending, fingers clenching, and breath coming out short as your release devours you.
Harry is there to keep you afloat, his hands palming over your skin, lips whispering sweet nothings about how good you feel around him to how beautiful you are. He felt your climax all over him when he lunges into you, the juices you expel enveloping him as he slides down your walls. It only made his jaw tense up and hips jerk even faster, his mind stuck on you.
While you’re catching your breath from coming Harry is on top, groaning as he spills his seed, he thrusts into you sloppily no longer keeping the same tempo as before. The hand he has on your backside releases its strong hold to run up your body, cradling your neck as he kisses you.
Immediately moaning at the touch your nails run away from his shoulders and to his mop of curls. You frankly didn’t care about the mess between your legs, how dishevel your hair must look, or how you just had sex for everyone to see. You couldn’t care, not with him making you feel like the most special girl in the world.

“Harry, baby have you seen my —Oh!”
Your hands flying to your chest when you push the door open to your room, there you are met with the sight of Harry sitting at the foot of your bed. It was Saturday night and you had mentioned craving Italian that he suggested to go out for dinner, you protested immediately saying it was unnecessary to drive into the city again; that you were fine staying at home and ordering in, but Harry demanded you to get ready. He was dressed in a white button up with black trousers to match his blazer, he looks so handsome with his hair slicked back with a lonesome curl resting against his forehead.
“What were you looking for love,” Harry asks, his eyebrow raising in concern. Your fingers tangle together in front of you as you step towards him and the velvet box sitting in his lap.
“The bracelet you got me, I thought I left in the powder room but I can’t find it,” You pout walking towards Harry to rest your hands on his shoulders.
“We’ll look for it another time. You can wear this tonight.”
He brings the box from his lap by your chest, a smirk was set on his lips as you roll your eyes. Of course he bought you something again, he was always doing this. Surprising you with ridiculous gifts just because. You smile at him while taking it in your hands, your fingers curving between the edges of it to peel it open. Mouth dropping as you look at the beautiful diamond tennis necklace.
“Harry!” You gasp, fingers feeling over the gemstones that shimmer in the chandelier above your heads.
“Perfect, isn’t it?” He says, completely unfaze by your reaction because you should know by now that you deserve nice things, that’s why he spoils you.
“It’s beautiful,” You say still in shock, your eyes tearing away from the jewels and looking at Harry with a beaming smile.
“Let me put it on c’mere,” He directs, hands taking the box from you and unclasping the necklace. You nod happily while turning around taking your hair in one hand lifting it up slightly.
The cool feeling of the necklace press against your collarbones, your fingers reach back to feel over it as Harry clips it on, his hands falling to your hips as you turn around in his hold. You’re smiling brightly at him while he returns the same look.
“I love you,” You hum, pressing your lips against his. You loved the necklace, how it glistens and shines but you loved Harry more for always pampering you.
Tumblr media
The warm bedsheet you’re wrapped in is being tugged on while you feel jabbing in your shoulder. A groan escapes you when you twist around, eyes cracking open as you stretch your arms under the pillow.
“What is it?” You breathe, head turning to the side as the poking stops.
“Harry’s calling,” Amelia says with annoyance. That makes your eyes immediately pop open adjusting to the lighting in the room. She’s next to you in her night gown as the black telephone is held in her two hands. “Been calling for 20 minutes straight can’t believe you’ve slept through it.” She mutters as she places it down on your side table before tugging out of your room.
Your heart is in your throat when you raise up and grasp the phone, hands slipping into your hair as your heart picks up. Harry never calls you this late, so you’re nervous about what why he is now.
“Harry?” You say quietly, fingers clenching around the bakelite as you hear a shallow breath over the phone.
“I— I can’t,” His voice breaking as you hear sniffling on the other end.
“What’s wrong?” You rush, eyes blinking back tears from hearing him.
“I’m leaving I can’t stay here anymore.”
And if your heart could be stomped on and sit ablaze it would be right now. This isn’t what you want to hear, this isn’t what you want and you know that isn’t what Harry wants either. The months you spent together meant so much to you that you can’t just let him leave, it would break you even more than how you’re feeling right now.
“H— Harry,” You stutter, the tears in your eyes finally fall and now you’re sniffling into the phone as well.
“I’m sorry I just can’t deal with him anymore… I can’t,” He tells you, the way his voice is raspy and hoarse makes your stomach turn.
“I understand baby, I do.” You reassure. You acknowledge that whatever Harry is going through he can no longer put up with anymore, that he’s throwing in the white towel and that’s okay, because your next to him with every step he takes.
“I have to leave,” He rambles, heavy breath sounding through the phone, only making your heart drop even more.
“I’m coming,” You immediately say, not even questioning the words.
Yes, you may be crazy for wanting to leave with this man that you’ve only known for a few months, but it felt like an eternity together, as if you knew each other in a past life and was reunited again for even more time to spend together. You know Harry is the one, you know that this is all you want; all you crave for and ask. It’s Harry and it always will be.
“N— No love you can’t, you can’t come with me. You got your sister and your parents,” Harry says, his breathing slow and voice deep.
“Yes, I want to. I want to be with you and only you. You are everything to me, you’ve shown me real love, something I can’t get from my parents H. Please, just take me with you.” You confide the words that he already knows.
There’s a minute of silence between the both of you, shallow air being blown and sniffles being sucked in with tears still dripping down your cheeks. Harry was being protective over you, he knows that you should stay with your sister and family, that taking you back home with him might cause a clash but he also knows that he doesn’t know what to do without you by his side. You were his rock when the waves would crash with heavy blows and hateful words, it was worth it in the end to see you smile up at him happily. He needs you.
“Pack your things, I’ll be there in 20.”
The line goes dead only making you jump to your feet and go to your closet. Hands tugging your suitcase out of the back and plopping it down on your bed, you’re immediately stuffing all the clothes you brought with from the beginning of summer and running to the bathroom to grab your other necessities. Feet fumbling over each other with heart pounding in your chest as you try and rush around as fast as you can.
Adrenaline courses through you, just the thought of leaving everything you know behind to follow the only good thing you’ve ever known. You’re scared but you know deep down it’s worth it with Harry by your side.
You quickly slip on a pair of light wash jeans with a black turtle neck, hand raking through your hair messily as the other slips on your flats and grabs your suitcase, your feet bringing you into the hall way where you find Amelia sitting at the top of the stairs, head buried against her folded arms.
“Emmy…” You say, teeth biting down on your bottom lip because you know she heard everything you said.
You made your way toward her, taking a seat as she raises up. She had sad expression on her face, lips in a pout with eyebrows sulking. You hate the way she looks right now, it makes you feel terrible.
“I’m not mad at you.” Amelia confesses, her eyes holding your gaze as your mouth parts slightly in shock. “I mean… I would leave too if I got the chance. But please Y/N, just don’t forget about me.” She says. Her voice anxious while giving you a worried smile.
Twelve years old and so wise beyond her years you couldn’t help but rest the case down and wrap your arms around her. She understands you more than anyone that the relationship you have with Harry was deeper than just young love; she sees it when he looks at you getting ready for the day and hears it by the way he calls your name with adoration. She was hurt you were leaving but happy that you’ll live the life you want.
“I could never.” You say while pressing a kiss against her temple. Your bodies rock against each other as you hold back tears wanting to spill over again.
The sound of Harry’s car is heard from outside the door, the moment you’re sharing with your sister being cut short with just the sound of the engine. You breathe in slowly, hands unraveling themselves before grasping your suitcase again. You look down at your sister, giving her a shaky smile as you descend down the steps and retrieve the door open.
You make your way toward the red coupe that glows under the moon, Harry is stepping out of his car, dry tear streaks stain his under eyes while his hair is mess. He looks completely frustrated and out of it, you wanted nothing more than to hug him, so you did. His cologne welcomes you as his warm hands wrap around your back, his head nestles itself on top of yours as you comfort each other.
“Just you and me?” You whisper into his chest, eyes opening and looking at his sweater that cradles you.
“Just us.”

Day 3
Growing up my parents moved every few years.  The first time we moved I was seven, and I was so upset about it that I told my Mom that I was going back to live in "my house".  Mom reminded me that strangers were living there now, and that wasn't as much of a deterrent to me as the fact that I would have to walk, and it was very far.  That first house I ever lived in was where I was born.  My mother gave birth to me in her bedroom.  I shared a room with my sister.  Dad took a picture of my mom and siblings all sitting on the floor of the living room with me, playing with a colorful activity toy they had just got for me.
I remember looking up at the book case looming over me, and fearing that it would fall over and topple on me.  I have no idea how old I was, but already a little bit of anxiety was creeping in.  I'd get up early enough to go and watch my father shave.  It was a quiet moment, everyone else was asleep, so I had him all to myself.  There was a window in the kitchen, so my mother could keep an eye on me while I played in our back yard.  I would pick fresh peas from the little garden, and open the pods to eat them.  I would also pick sorrel growing in the grass, and I'd play in the cedar hedge.  Not along the hedge, in the hedge.
When we moved we left a little development in a small town, where there were streets packed with neighbors and a nearby park, to a long country road with a long driveway to this stone house with dormers.  The property was lined with trees and the backyard had a pool.  My father had taught me to swim young; our whole family would get a membership to the public pool every year; you had to sew a little pass onto your bathing suit.  Anyway, what I'm getting at is having a pool made up for the fact that we had left my cherished home, and house number two became home too.
My dad built me a swing.  Since I was homeschooled, the education part of my day only took a few hours, and then I got to play outside until dinnertime, unless it was raining; then I could read indoors, or draw.  And every day I was allowed educational TV from PBS.  My favorites were Bill Nye and Where in Time Is Carmen Sandiego.  My daughter and husband and I were just discussing our favorite childhood shows.  I was telling them that Cyranose from Sesame Street stressed me out.  When my daughter was very little she would watch Pocoyo and Puffin Rock and Yo Gabba Gabba.
Alright, moving on.  I was between eleven and twelve when we moved to the north shore of Quebec.  For my parents, it was a bit like coming home, because they had met in Forestville and had lived in Sept Iles and Port Cartier in their early marriage.  We lived in Baie Comeau.  Again, the transition was hard for me.  We went from a huge back yard with a driveway long enough for me to ride my bike around on, to a semi detached with a big patio but a little patch of grass.  My mom softened the blow by letting me help her pick out paint colors and wallpaper to decorate not only the living space and her bedroom, but my room as well.
I chose a design of galloping horses on a border of wallpaper, and the color green.  There was another color but it was nondescript.  I really loved that green.  And I loved my dog.  We'd had several dogs.  We'd had a black dog named Belle, and a beagle named Wendy, and also a puppy Labrador named Skip.  My best friend called him Skippy Peanut Butter.  But I never connected with those dogs (I know, heresy!).  It was Rascal, our rottweiler, who stirred deep affection in me.  I'd play with him in the pokey back yard.  In fact one time, he was excitedly circling me and I lost track of where he was, so I turned and tripped over him.
Pain shot through my elbow and I rose, and danced around, clutching my arm.  Rascal danced around with me.  I went into the house and told my mom I had hurt myself.  Now, I had gotten distracted from the task my Mom had assigned me, which was to sweep the patio, so she told me to go back out there and finish the job.  I tried to do it with both hands, but my arm was pulsing, so I swept the whole space with one hand.  In a few hours my arm was aching, I was writhing, and my mom decided to take me to the hospital.  She thought it was going to be a waste of time, but turns out my elbow was broken.  Poor Mom, she felt pretty bad.
So we lived in Baie Comeau for two years.  We moved to the region of Quebec City, and lived in Lac Beauport.  That was a brief sojourn.  My parents bought a house that was more in the Montreal area, and we would commute; stay in Lac Beauport during the week, so I could attend school and Dad could work, and then go to the house on the weekend.  I don't think that lasted more than a few months, and then my Dad retired and we moved permanently.  Well, not permanently, after a few years they divided their property into two, sold the place we'd lived in, and they built a house, a beautiful open concept home, which Dad finished in pine on floors, walls and ceiling.
That was the final house I lived in with my mom and dad.  By the time they built the house, I was eighteen, and a good friend and I were figuring out that we really liked each other.  That is another story for another time.  I moved out at nineteen, and Mom and Dad lived happily for a while in the house they had built, but Mom's health had deteriorated since living in a polluted environment for two years, and she and Dad wanted to find a place where she would feel better.  I was pregnant when they decided to move to Newfoundland.  I was due in July but N- decided to join us in May (I'll be telling that story too), on the very day my parents were scheduled to leave the province.  They literally took their stuff to Newfoundland, turned around and returned to the hospital to be with me, S- and N-.
When N- got out of the hospital, we brought her to the house Mom and Dad had built.  That was her first home.  We only lived there for a few years.  Mom and Dad lived in Newfoundland for less than a year, and then they found a home in New Brunswick.  We visit them every summer, and this past year, we visited in the winter too.  I remember setting foot in their house and looking around, and realizing this was the first house I'd ever seen my parents have that I have never lived in.  It was pretty neat to see all the touches my mom made; the curtains she chose, the paintings I'd watched her collect all my life, hanging on the walls, how she had arranged the furniture.  My parents have always, my whole life, made houses into homes.

stalkers at the pool- p.js
Tumblr media
characters: jisung x lifeguard/pool employee reader ft. annoying dreamies
genre; literal just crack, fluff if you use a magnifying glass
summary; jisung recently started going swimming a lot more often, leaving the boys to question why he went so much
Tumblr media
"is he going swimming...again?" jaemin gaped from his lounged position on the sofa, arm extended with tv controller in hand, but his attention is on the door that their youngest just left through.
"seems like it" chenle shrugged, launching onto the sofa next to the blue haired boy. suddenly everyone seemed very intrigued in jisungs daily trips to the local indoor pool, which he didnt go to very often until about 4 months ago. the boy even bought a gold membership there to make his bank cry less.
"so we’re just not going to question it?" renjun piped up, also interested to see what was going on. "hes probably just found a love for swimming" chenle shrugged again, snatching the controller from jaemin.
"or maybe hes found a love for something else. a girl?!" haechan gasped from where he was laying on the ground before sitting up. jeno shook his head.
"no way is jisung remotely confident enough to show his shins to a girl" he joked, making an X with his fingers. the others snorted at his statement before jaemin got up.
"jaem, where are you going?" renjun asked, watching the boy walk into their weird spare miscellaneous items room with a weird look. jaemin poked his head out from the room and smirked. "im going undercover"
and thats how they ended up, walking as inconspicuously as possible to the swimming pool. they had thought there was no possible way they could get caught. haechan was wearing a yellow wig and a dress, with sunglasses on and heels which he somehow could walk in suspiciously easily. jaemin had on a bucket hat and face mask, with the gag glasses that have the nose attached to them on, and a large trench coat. renjun looked like a drug dealer, in a giant black hoodie and beanie underneath, black jeans and trainers with some weird rectangle sunglasses he had found. chenle... he was in a bright neon green wig, with a fancy dressing gown on and slippers, his giant aviator sunglasses also somewhat masking his identity. out of all of them, jeno was probably the most normal. he just had a bucket hat on and stayed in his normal clothes, plus the cat collar he had around his neck as he insisted ‘real jeno would never wear a collar’.
quite honestly, the group probably had made themselves more visible. pushing open the heavy glass doors to the swimming pool, they were all hit with a waft of strong chlorine, the sound of rushing water and the screams of children playing. "dude we are so invisible right now" jaemin said, as they all filed to sit in the café which gave you a good view of the whole place. "i know right? this is great" chenle snapped his fingers before scanning the area for his lanky friend. "target located" haechan pointed at the brown haired boy who was sipping on a red slushie, staring longingly down at the pool. he was in his swimming trunks and a white tshirt, which obviously wasnt wet yet.
"dont tell me we came all the way here in disguise just for him to drink a slushie" renjun groaned, but jaemin hushed him.
"no, look, its a girl" jeno said, gasping slightly. sure enough, following jisungs line of sight was you. sat on the high lifeguards chair, a red swimming costume and an orange slightly oversized polo over it, the whistle dangling around your neck whilst you kicked your legs, watching over the pool.
"ohoho jisung youve been caught red handed" chenle quietly cackled.
-
not even 15 minutes later, you came off duty for your friend to carry on for you. heading up the steps, you saw the familiar tuft of brown and blonde hair, making you smile. jisung came to this pool every day, and you had started talking about 2 months ago. you had to admit, before that you would just admire him from afar as he was just THAT gorgeous. opening the gate, you slipped on your trainers before heading off to the table that jisung was sat down at.
"hey y/n" he smiled brightly, your cheeks dusting over with a slight pink while you sent him your own smile back. you carried on conversing with jisung as usual, him sliding a blue slushie over to you which you were extremely grateful for.
feeling eyes on you, you looked around, trying to see if someone was looking at you because it was slightly discomforting. narrowing your eyes, you let out a little chortle at the sight of 5 men dressed in the weirdest clothes and wigs, watching you and jisung. you probably wouldve been scared had one of them not worn heels, and the other not worn the cliche nose glasses.
"are you okay?" jisung asked, looking slightly concerned at your odd behaviour. trying to not be so obvious you turned back to jisung, subtly pointing at the 5 men. "jisung there are people watching us in weird costumes and honestly its the best thing ever" you snickered, sipping your slush as you genuinely found this whole scenario hilarious. after all, who sips slushies with their crush whilst being stared at by people in neon wigs on a daily basis?
jisung turned his head to see what you were pointing at, and his jaw dropped in disbelief. he sent a glare and middle finger to the boys before looking back at you with a slighly flushed face. "theyre my hyungs" he said, causing you to actually lose it and just start laughing.
"but why, why are they- oh my god- why did they come in disguise" you choked out, trying to get coherent words from your state of undying laughter. jisung also started laughing along and shrugged.
"theyre weird like that"

Remarks: 'My husband and I have had limited experience with nude communities/resorts, but we really enjoyed our past experience enough that we were eager to try out Cedar Creek for a weekend and truly relax. We are so glad that we did. We had a truly wonderful time. Everyone was fantastic. Very friendly and very welcoming; all of the members/regulars were super hospitable to visitors. The staff made it very apparent that they care about the resort and truly want to help you have a great time on the property. The common facilities were very clean and well maintained. You could also tell that they are constantly working to make improvements to the resort. We tent camped with electric for 2 nights, which worked great for us. You quickly realize why so many people invest in membership and set up campers there or homes nearby. The resort was kind enough to let us use their tubes to float down the creek, which was lovely and refreshing, considering how hot the weather was and how cool the water temp was. The dock area was probably my favorite spot. The water is so clear. Really enjoyed cooling off down there. Outdoor pool is great — always plenty of friendly people around the pool. The lunch on Saturday and the breakfast on Sunday really hit the spot. We also enjoyed the parties and drinks with great company. Excellent experience, and so glad we brought lots of sunscreen, bug spray, and water shoes for the creek. Made it home with no bugs bites or sunburns after 3 days at Cedar Creek, where it was mostly sunny and highs around 90 each day. Highly likely that we’ll return when we can!' – Tiffany from Florida

Remarks: 'My wife and I have been getting away to Cedar Creek Resort in Pelion, South Carolina for years. We enjoyed the grounds and many of the people there. We love Nudestock, a weekend long clothing optional music festival on the last full weekend of September. Otherwise, when we visited Cedar Creek in the past, we avoided management and the clicks that used to pull the place down. Predictably, the old guard mismanaged their way to insolvency.
Cedar Creek is now under new ownership and management. It is much better now! Mark, Molly and Adam are warm and friendly! We genuinely look forward to seeing them. Nudestock continues each September. They have improved the sound and quality of the bands. Cedar Creek now has a DJ dance party nearly every weekend in the club house. They’ve added a great DJ booth and dance floor. Improvements to the physical grounds are ongoing. They are slowly but surely repairing and improving the facilities. Lots of new people coming now. Cedar Creek is doing much better and definitely worth a visit.' – Dave and Chel from South Carolina

The facilities are well taken care of and the pools are cool and refreshing. I stayed in a tent during my time here and was thoroughly pleased to find that the washrooms were well maintained. Even the five dollar food plates were well worth the money. Remarks: 'A bit primitive, but the people here are so friendly and it has so much potential. Some Alpha: Part 1
Fandom: Marvel (ABO AU)
Pairing: Chubby!Bucky Barnes x Reader
Summary: Bucky is an Alpha, but can never seem to find someone who wants him to be their Alpha. Until he finds you, a Beta, who’s as firey as an Alpha, yet also tender-hearted like an Omega.
Warning: implications of prostitution, smut (in later chapters)
A/N: uuuuuhhhhhhh starting a series when I have all these requests to get through. thats so me, but i just couldn’t get this idea out of my head. also, idk how many parts i’m gonna have with this, but whatever. ENJOY!
tagging: @cametobuyplums because I love her.
Tumblr media
Bucky rolled off the woman, his breath coming out as shallow breaths. The woman that was beneath him smirked, propping her head up as she watched Bucky redress, “You know, I think that was one of the best orgasms I’ve ever had.”
Bucky hummed as he pulled out his wallet, picking out two hundred bucks and tossing the bills onto the bed, “Thanks.”
“You’d make some Betas and Omegas very happy with what you could do, hon.”
Bucky snorted as he waltzed out of the motel room, mumbling to himself somberly, “If any actually wanna come near me.”
Whenever Bucky went into heat, there was no one around to help him through it. He didn’t have a mate or even a potential mate. Therefore, he always relied on call girls. He hated it, honestly. He hated using them like that. He hated that he didn’t have a mate to help him through his rut. But he knew that if he didn’t do anything about it, he’d potentially die.
He’d been in bed with that woman, an omega named Ally, for twelve hours until his heat faded. Now, he needed to shower. Get the smell of sweat and sex off him, get Ally’s scent washed off.
After his shower, Bucky looked at himself in the mirror. He was told that his face was handsome, the only problem was the gut he was donning. He glanced down at the round, bulging thing he called a stomach. It was something that he couldn’t seem to get rid of. It didn’t help that he was stuffing his face with donuts and beer whenever he could. Comfort food. To satisfy his loneliness.
He shook his head. He’s done. He’s done feeling sorry for himself. He’s done being constantly rejected by potential mates. He was going to change and, hopefully, for the better.
______________________
You worked at the gym downtown. You were the water aerobics and swim teacher there. You’d teach people from 5 to 50 on how to swim and exercise in the water. You loved your job.
Although, there were some downsides. With you being the only Beta there, not to mentioned unmated, Alphas and Omegas were always coming at you left and right wanting to ask you out, or the more ballsy ones, asking you to bed. After a while, you decided to go on suppressants. You couldn’t get your job done if people were bothering you about mating or some shit.
Unfortunately, today you ran out of suppressants. Hopefully, the ones you took last night would last you for most of your shift today. You were hoping and praying that would be the case.
You went to the locker room, changing out of your leggings and tshirt to your standard red one-piece bathing suit. You went out to the pool and decided to do some laps before your class began. Maybe the chlorine will lessen your scent.
_____________________
Bucky scouted out the gym. After doing some research, he found that this was one of the best in the are. It was fairly big with a variety of equipment and areas. He saw on their website that they had a pool. Maybe he should take some swimming classes.
He asked the young woman at the front desk if he could tour the place. She was a short blonde woman. An Alpha and her nametag read Hope. She waved her hand, eyes never wavering from her phone and mumbled, “Whatever.”
Bucky snorted as he walked away from the desk. Quite the attitude on that one.
He checked out the lifting room. It reeked of Alphas and, honestly, Bucky felt a little intimidated. Maybe he shouldn’t go with lifting. There were dance rooms available. One had a yoga class going on. He winced at how flexible some of those people were. Yeah. Maybe not that. He passed by a jazzercise class in another room. The instructor seemed too happy go lucky for his liking. He then spotted the pool. He pushed the door open to the indoor pool. The air was humid and the strong sent of chlorine filled his nose. There wasn’t anyone there, except for one person, you, in the pool.
He watched as you performed a perfect breast stroke to one end of the pool and to the other. When you reached the other side, you then lifted yourself up and out of the pool. He was hit with the strong scent of a sweet, yet spicy kind of scent. He’s never smelled anything like it before.
Your shoulders tensed, he guessed, because you smelled him too. Your head whipped towards him and he froze in place. You were beautiful and your scent was so...intoxicating.
You nervously rose to your feet, clearing your throat, “Can I help you?”
“No, well, yes, but-no. I, uh, was just checking out the place. I was thinking about getting a membership here.”
You slowly nodded, “Oh, well, I definitely think you should. I work here and, honestly, this is one of the best gyms I’ve ever worked at.”
Bucky gestured to the pool, “You the swim instructor?”
“Yup. Swim and water aerobics. I actually have a class in ten minutes. Feel free to watch. Maybe it’ll help you decide if you wanna become a member or not.”
“S-Sure,” Bucky said, although, he decided he was going to join as soon as he saw you. There was something that was drawing himself to you. He didn’t know what, but he wanted to find out.”
You walk closer to him, your scent growing stronger, and you stuck out your hand, “I’m Y/N.”
Bucky took it, shaking it with his, “James, but call me Bucky.”
You smiled at him, “Bucky. Cute name!” you chuckled, Anyway, Bucky, I gotta get some equipment out for my class. You can wait here if you want, or continue exploring the place. Whichever you prefer!” you gave him a wave and began to walk towards the other side of the pool, to a door that he assumed was the equipment closet. He couldn’t help but let his eyes wander down your form.
Bucky knew he was in trouble.

ok im not done ranting abt this dog multipurpose complex bc im back to hate-reading the website
1. they require all dogs to be properly socialized but if your dog isn’t, you can just talk abt it w them! Okay so (1) how are U gonna test dog socialization on a dog that just showed up (2) what the FUCK do you mean you can just talk abt it w them.
2. doesn’t seem like they’re gonna be a distinction between spaces for big dogs or little dogs. That will be awesome
3. half the (indoor!!) complex is gonna be covered in fake turf grass. Aka the hardest shit on the planet to clean. Like you’ll have a better fucking time cleaning shag carpet
4. the cheapest plan to bring 1 dog a month is $35/month aka $420/year. a local dog park pass is $10/year, and you have access to four separate dog parks. Listen i don’t even fuckin really love dog parks but like. Fuck. The cheapest plan for 2 dogs is $510/year. NEITHER OF THESE EVEN INCLUDE THE DOG POOL WHICH HONESTLY IS THE ONLY COOL PART. To gain access to pool for 1 dog is $95/month or 1,140/year. 2 dogs $1260/year.
5. A big emphasis on the website is encouraging people WITHOUT dogs to by memberships. But don’t sell cheaper memberships that wouldn’t include dog access. So, essentially, you can pay minimum $420/year to hang out, dog-less, at an indoor dog park. And... idk? Feel entitled to pet other peoples dogs???
6. The website also encourages corporate events to be hard here. I cannot handle this.
7. In one paragraph they blatantly steal one of the tag lines of a dog company i formerly worked for, which is how I know the guy who’s opening this place. Phil obvi. And while I was working at this company, twice this Phil guy brought his dogs in and very blatantly like scouted out the area? And asked very weird technical questions? But we didn’t know he was going to open this place at the time, nor did we THINK he was going to bc he was a REALTOR who was AWFUL with his OWN DOGS. idk it just rubs me the wrong way. Sleazy u know?
8. Huge emphasis on bringing kids. U know what is a horrible mix? That’s right kids and packs of dogs that barely know each other.

some good lifestyle things:
I’ve been eating by the “how not to die” guidelines for 24 weeks now (five months and some change) and I love iiiiit. I still make a couple tiny exceptions—I cook with eggs maybe once a month, use a little more oil in cooking than I probably should, and sometimes put a couple tablespoons of Greek yogurt in my morning smoothie bc I like the flavor—but really have not missed cheese, sugar, non-whole grain breads, ice cream, etc. definitely feel a lot better just in general: no more cravings, joint pain is COMPLETELY gone (what a fucking miracle!!!!), sleep is betterish, no late in the day energy crashes, and I never feel ravenously hungry or like I’m “starving” anymore (that panicky starve/binge cycle). for me quarantine has been a good reset/chance to solidify better eating habits on the whole, bc I have plenty of time to do meal prep + total control over what is in my food environment. also I love using the Daily Dozen app because, as I think I’ve said before, it makes it feel less like obsessively monitoring food intake and more like a fun challenge or game to see how many categories I can check off in a single meal.
I’m now on week 3 of no drinking and am going to see if I can do a sober summer, probably with an exception for my brother’s wedding/our seattle trip. so three months in all, and then I want to reassess to see if I want to keep going. I am trying to never again make losing weight my top priority in any lifestyle change, but I do think that alcohol (esp some HEAVY and consistent binge drinking early in the lockdown whoops) is def one of the reasons I haven’t dropped much weight despite major changes to how I eat. this is, again, easier to control in quarantine bc no social drinking opportunities, which have historically been my downfall in past attempts to cut back on alcohol intake. anyway hoping I can use the summer to solidify some good habits!!
doing pretty well with exercise! we are getting into the intolerable heat phase of the year which is always rough but I’m trying to push through. adding in some rollerblading sessions helps because it’s super fun and different enough to be interesting, and also it means I don’t have to run so often to get a more intense cardio workout. the downside is there’s sometimes more of a mental block there because I have to put on all my gear and lug the skates down the street so some days when I intend to go I putter around too long and don’t end up making it outside before it’s either too hot or too dark. but!! working on it. I’ve also been tracking exercise more carefully the past couple weeks:
Tumblr media
so that is useful and will maybe help me notice patterns of activity/inactivity. I am also almost done with the couch to 5k program I started when lockdown began—5 runs left! I can finish that easily by the end of June, and then I’m going to start their 10k program in July. I WISH I COULD BE SWIMMING THIS SUMMER but I feel too nervous about the indoor pool and so have opted to suspend my ymca membership until August or later.
umm what else. I bought a jumprope! I’m reading this book about exercise in the brain! I’m trying to track heart rate during workouts! I still for some reason find myself vehemently resisting bodyweight exercises (maybe bc they feel too much like a fitness class to me), but maybe. we’ll see. the secret to getting me interested is probably to keep reading about sidney crosby’s legs and core workouts bc then it’ll hook my fic imagination.
anyway I feel good/strong in my body these days!! also a side effect of changing my diet is that my skin is so clear and my curls are SO LUXURIOUS AND GLOSSY it’s kind of insane. too bad it’s all going to WASTE locked indoors but oh well. when all this ends I will emerge into the world very tan and sober and glowing with good health, god willing.

HOW TO CHOOSE RIGHT GYM
Her Fitness: I have a confession to make that might surprise a few of you: I moved almost a year and a half ago and I still haven’t joined a gym.
Don’t get me wrong — I’ve still been seriously getting my sweat on. Aside from running and biking and all the cool stuff, I do on my own at home, I’ve checked out plenty of boutiques, fitness class-based gyms. I’ve even purchased packages at several of them.
Her Fitness: Even with classes bought in bulk, though, they end up running $10 to $20 per class, and that really adds up. So, I get a little stingy with how often I’ll go. Like, if I hit my strength class at Def Fit this week, I’m probably not also going to hit the mat at Soul Yoga Sanctuary and get down and dirty at Fly Dance Fitness, too.
And that sucks because I hate turning down an invite or missing an opportunity for a fun workout. But I’ve gotta budget for other things, like races and, you know, food.
I’ve spent a little time researching some of the more all-purpose gyms in the area, and I realized that what I’ve learned about what to look for might be really helpful to other people shopping for a new gym to join. Here’s what I looked for along with the questions I asked myself.
Hours
Her Fitness: I was really surprised by some of the hours some major gyms offered. If you like to work out either very early or quite late — or you’re a big weekend warrior — make sure the gym you’re looking into is open at those times. I didn’t think 5 a.m. was an unreasonable time to expect a facility to be open. I was mistaken.
Classes (Her Fitness)
Are you interested in taking their classes? If not, you can skip this section (and you can probably save some money by going to a more bare-bones facility that doesn’t offer much for group ex). But, if you’d like to take advantage of any group exercises, here’s what to look for:
Do they offer the kinds of classes you’re interested in? If you’re big on strength-training classes but the class descriptions mostly look like varieties of Zumba, you might want to keep looking.
What’s the schedule for the classes you’d like to take? (I looked at one gym that had some seriously cool classes on the list, but some of those classes were only offered once a week at an inconvenient time, which wouldn’t do me any good at all.)
Are all the classes you’re into included in the standard membership fee? Sometimes, classes that require special equipment (like indoor cycling or Pilates on a reformer) cost extra, or the gym might limit the number of classes you can attend each month.
HER FITNESS: WORKOUT ADVICE FOR WOMEN. Read More…
Facilities
Think about what’s important to you, then visit the gym to see if they match up. To some, having the newest equipment and an updated, stylish lobby with a juice bar helps motivate them to get to the gym in the first place. Others are happy as long as there are enough treadmills to accommodate the people trying to get on them. If there are specific pieces of equipment you know you want to use, make sure they have them! And, for many of us, proximity and ease of access is a huge factor. Nothing like driving 30 minutes to do a 45-minute workout before driving half an hour home, right?
Her Fitness: And it’s also worth asking about assistance on the floor. Some gyms have employees and trainers out and about at all times, available to answer questions or take you through specific machines — my old gym offered this at no charge. If you’re newer to working out or just know you need a push, that’s a really helpful bonus and worth some extra moolah.
There’s no wrong answer here when it comes to what the facilities need to be like — whatever is going to make you want to go is what the gym you choose should offer!
Extras (Her Fitness)
Are there other things you’d really like access to? A lap pool and group cycling room are worth a lot to me — partly because those are things I love to do, but also because I’m likely to spend money going elsewhere for them if they aren’t at my regular gym. If you love playing team sports, seeking out a gym with open gym times or leagues might be a smart idea. Hot and cold therapy pools, saunas, steam rooms, massage therapists available — you’ll generally pay more for those kinds of extras, but it could be well worthwhile if you’re into it.
Price (Her Fitness)
A monthly fee is not necessarily just a monthly fee, I learned pretty quickly. Here are a few things to look for, as well as questions to ask the gym (and yourself).
What’s the monthly fee? If it’s a base price with other options, which option best fits your needs?
Is there a new member fee?
Or an annual fee?
Is there a family price? If you and your partner or kids are all joining, you can save big.
Are there taxes or any other added fees to be aware of?
Is personal or small group training available? If so, for how much is it?
What happens if you cancel?
Are you able to freeze the account if you’re unable to come in for a month or more?
Does the gym offer any discounts? (There might be discounts associated with the time of year, or, in the case of one here, if you either knew someone who was a member or signed up with a friend, you could get a significant buddy discount. They could also offer discounts if you work at a business they partner with — it’s always worth asking!)
Does the gym offer everything you want? Be honest with yourself here. Even if your new gym has a Spin room, does that mean you’re really not going to go to the super fun new indoor cycling class you’ve been attending with your friends? It’s okay if it doesn’t, but if you’re going to keep attending the one-off classes in addition to paying for your new membership, that might mean it makes sense to join a no-frills gym for your basic equipment needs so you can save some money for classes.

So I guess I just need to get it out of my system and it’s very first world problems but this is how I feel.
Change fucking sucks. I hate it.
I got really into Zumba with a particular instructor at a particular gym. The gym was expensive membership but omg what a gym - indoor and outdoor pools, great machines and weights, brilliant group classes. I discovered Body Balance there - it’s awesome. Best of all the worlds of Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga. Love it.
But Zumba became a passion for about 4 years. I went every week, unless I was ill or on holiday.  2 years into it, I moved house. My then fiance was all into getting onto the housing ladder. So we did. It’s great but where we live isn’t close enough to that gym to make it worth our while - like, I can’t pay membership fees AND petrol to get to it, you know? It was also a massive detour from my new job.
Anyway the Zumba instructor was like “noooo don’t go... but wait! I know that village! It’s about 20 minutes away from where I do evening Zumba!” So that was awesome. And I’d do my best to go to the evening classes on a Thursday - sometimes even a Tuesday but that was unsustainable, cause the Tuesday class was 8-9pm. Nobody wants to do high intensity workout at 8pm and then try to go to sleep.
The Thursday one worked for a while cause it was at 6.45. I could leave earlier on Thursdays cause I have my PPA time then and get my stuff done for Friday then...
But then I got a tricky cohort. There was some extra paperwork to be done all the time. I began to leave later and later. I became habitually an 8am-7pm worker. That often meant that I would lose track of time on a Thursday and leave too late to get to Zumba. I also got out of the habit around my wedding and then after with our month-long honeymoon.
I had been doing Zumba club at school for the kids as well, and I guess that kinda burned me out cause it wasn’t the same.
Tbh the class at the community centre wasn’t quite the same. During the summer it was a nightmare, tbh. It is an OLD village hall. Cold in the winter (fine) and hot in the summer.  Also 6.45 was no longer a convenient time for me.
Well I tried to keep in touch but the instructor had troubles of her own. From what I gather she had an injury. She’s also gone into business with some other people nutrition wise. She has many pies and a finger in each.
I’m trying to get back into my fitness and into Zumba but things have moved on - she doesn’t do that village hall anymore. If she still does the class in the next village over, it’s the same issue I had with Tuesday nights, but at least on a Friday sleep deprivation at work doesn’t matter too much I guess.
I’ve tried to contact her but get nothing. I guess that is it. I have asked how to book into her new Wednesday 7pm (much better!) class but if there’s no reply, I guess that means I have to move on too and find a new Zumba class.
But I know all the routines! I like her routines. :( Her routines were awesome. Also she is just a fantastic person.
On the upside, I have discovered that Body Balance has come to the gym 5 minutes down the road from me. So I’ve advanced booked into two of those sessions. They seem to move about though which is a shame. When you do something like Body Balance, it’s good to do it at the very least weekly.  Either way, I’ll be able to fit in Zumba and my Choir around Body Balance whether Awesome Instructor ever gets back to me or not.
But yeah. I hate change. I do sometimes regret moving out here - it’s not ideal for a lot of things.
I also hate that I allowed myself to get so dragged down by work and my low moods and stop doing the things I loved. Which apparently might not exist anymore :(

What kind of activities do you guys enroll your kids in? First time mom here and super lost on where to go or what to do, especially in summer time.
I try to keep things simple. We have a pool membership so we go there a few days a week. Library once a week (the free activities are great). My daughter is 3 and I just enrolled her in dance for her first formal activity. We’re going to do soccer in the fall in place of or maybe in addition to dance, but that’d be the max. Summertime I think is perfect for utilizing free community resources and maybe trying one indoor air conditioned activity. I’d really love to hear what others do with their kiddos though! ⚡️

How a Couch Potato became a Gym-Goer
If I remember correctly, the only regular physical activity that I have experienced so far is playing badminton for a month. I don’t have any sports and I don’t really go to the gym except for those few times I got invited to join.
I’m the type who would rather spend my leisure time at home watching, sleeping and going to the mall. I guess the thought of exercising and sweating doesn’t appeal to me. Why would you wanna tire yourself when you can enjoy a good K-drama at the comfort of your bed? ☺️
Unfortunately, this habit comes with a price. Aside from gaining weight, I have noticed how simple activities like taking the stairs and going for a walk to get coffee can leave me feeling tired and breathless. I also have problems staying up during those rare times that I could not afford to get at least 6 hours of sleep. 😩
… But something exciting happened at the beginning of this month. I was introduced to spin class through a youtube video. I thought it looked fun having a group of people cycling to an energetic rhythm. It looks fun and easy* so I decided to try it out. I initially wanted to go to Saddle and Row – it’s an indoor cycling facility which is a walking distance from the place where I work and they specialize with rowing and indoor cycling. The facility looks great but I thought the rates were a little bit high considering there is no other activity I can do except for the spin class so I checked out Fitness First Platinum in SM Aura. It’s a premium membership gym located inside a premier mall which is a little bit further but still a walking distance from my workplace. They offer daily Spin Class (which they call RPM class) morning and evening and other various classes like yoga, dance, Spartan etc. It’s a huge facility with lounge, fitness equipment, swimming pool, cycling studio and a Spartan SGX zone. All of these (including the free coffee and tea) are available to any member. It’s almost the same rate that other indoor cycling facilities offer but with a wider range of amenities and offers variety of exciting classes. I made the brave decision and enrolled myself for 1 year membership. (Sometimes the best motivation to exercise is money. You wouldn’t want that monthly cost go to waste lol.) 😁
I was excited on my first day of RPM class. I thought, this should be easy. What can go wrong? You just have to sit on the bike and pedal for an hour. And Boy was I wrong!!! Because I’m not used to a lot of physical activity, I seriously almost fainted on my first day in the class and I had to suffer muscle pains all over my body for 3 days. Don’t be deceived, this activity is not for the faint-hearted. Although my 1st day didn’t really turn out as easy as I imagined, I could not discount how fun the class is. I decided to go back after 3 days for my 2nd class and as days go by, I get better and addicted to it.
Tumblr media
So how did a couch-potato like me turned into a spin class addict? Here’s why:
1.    If you are a beginner in regular physical activities like going to the gym, it can get really embarrassing trying out different fitness equipment and figuring out how to make it work then getting conscious if you are doing it right or not. Indoor cycling is very easy to learn and does not involve embarrassing positions if you are conscious about that. Just learn how to adjust your bike and resistance (which your instructor will teach you on your 1st day in the class including do’s and don’ts), hop on it and pedal to the rhythm.
2.    You can adjust pace and resistance based on your limits. Although the instructor will ask you to make pace and resistance adjustment to get most out of the activity, you can personalize based on what you can handle. As you go along, you will hunger for more challenge and be able to adapt to your instructor’s pace and resistance suggestion.
3.    Feeling your sweat coming out of your body and see it dripping on the floor is oddly satisfying. RPM Class is one of the best and fastest way to sweat off. I feel like every drop of sweat is a drop of calorie coming out of my body. And trust me, the sweat I get from this 1-hour class can fill 1.5 Liter of Coca-Cola bottle. 😅
4.    It’s very motivating. My favorite RPM trainer, Chiz, is really fun. She makes you want to surpass the difficult moments and challenge yourself more. It also creates a healthy competition seeing your classmates go through the same experience with you makes you want to push yourself so you can adapt to the pace. 💪
Tumblr media
5.    The feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment after completing the class and knowing you are getting better and better is a great feeling that gives you an amazing day ahead. It will make you look forward to the next class and push yourself even more. I love how our RPM class always ends-off with a round of applause to congratulate yourself and your classmates for doing a great job. 👏
Tumblr media
The more I get better, the more I get excited for the next class. It feels great to accomplish something that is physically challenging. The more I do it, the less painful it gets and the more obvious the benefits are- from weight loss, increased stamina, better sleep to a great mood. Do you know that Indoor Cycling releases endorphins which are happy mood-inducing neurotransmitters? No wonder I always feel happy and motivated after a spin class. It’s a perfect start to a long work-day. 🤗

September 7, 2022
My last post made me sad. Things really haven’t changed much. I’m still stuck in limbo with my boyfriend who doesn’t have the patience to be with me but doesn’t want to let me go.
If things would’ve went right, we would’ve celebrated our one year anniversary this week. We did spend time together but it wasn’t planned out and it was mainly doing what he wanted to do which was go to music stores and pawn shops.
I’m not trying to make this post all negative, so I want to include some things that make me happy.
Well shit I literally just struggled to think of anything. I’m doing better with my weight now. I weigh typically in the mid-140s. I just need to not gain back into the 150s again. That’s my hard limit I’m trying to impose is to never go above that again.
I want to start doing more yoga. Maybe it’ll help with both my stress and my nerve issues. It’s probably from sitting at a desk all day without any major exercise but my legs and arms constantly go numb and tingly like they’re asleep. It bothers me a lot but the doctor said exercise more to see if it helps. I might get a gym membership. There’s one around here with an indoor pool. I’d love to swim as much as I wanted to.

Champion Hills The Perfect Community to Live and Play
Tumblr media
Champion Hills is a community that boasts being the home of world renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio’s Mountain Masterpiece. Fazio says it best, "Champion Hills is a golf course in the mountains, not a mountain golf course.” Some may look at Champion Hills as your classic, golf course retirement community, but it is so much more than just a community with a golf course. There are many people living in the community, who may be enjoying their retirement, but the community also houses just as many who are actively working. With the ability to work remotely amid the "new normal," Champion Hills is seeing an influx of new resident members in the prime of their careers and still going strong. No matter the situation, all in the community share one thing and that is that they are all actively enjoying the benefits of Champion Hills every day. You may ask what makes Champion Hills so special? If you ask the residents, most will tell you it's the feeling of belonging. Champion Hills is a welcoming community. “I look at Champion Hills as a mountain golf community more than a Country Club,” says one resident, who along with his wife moved to Champion Hills in 2015. “It’s a blend of people from all over the country, from all different careers and the spectrum in terms of political views and religion. It’s such a great mix of fun people who are enjoying life at Champion Hills.” According to Champion Hills Director of Membership and Marketing Heather Myers, “We see so many families coming together here across two and three generations. Whether they are on the golf course, at the pool or out to dinner, we love that Champion Hills is their ‘happy place.’” The location of the community in Hendersonville, North Carolina also draws many new residents in. Hendersonville is on the list of the 100 Best Small Towns in America and also rated as one of the best places in the country to retire, but you don't have retire to live at Champion Hills. The town's physical beauty and moderate climate has an allure that cause many people to make Hendersonville their permanent home. Downtown Hendersonville is nestled in a protected valley between the Blue Ridge and the Great Smokey Mountains. The valley placement secures a moderate climate with four distinct seasons that bring brilliant spring flowers, warm summers, breathtaking fall foliage, and a coating of white snow creating a unique living experience for each time of the year. The charming nature of Hendersonville continues to draw people in and provide an atmosphere that is easy to call home. It is also located just thirty minutes outside of Asheville. Hendersonville is enhanced by the beauty of the Champion Hills community, and Tom Fazio's Mountain Masterpiece Golf Course and Club House takes Champion Hills living over the top. The 25,000-square foot clubhouse offers several dining options plus a Wellness Center, with the latest cardio and strength training equipment and a spacious room for yoga, spin, Pilates and other group classes. In addition to the outdoor pool, a hydro spa and tennis courts are available for members. Champion Hills even has an entire department dedicated to filling your calendar with social community events and member activities for every interest, so there is never a dull moment at Champion Hills. No matter your interest, you’ll find friends for life at Champion Hills! Keeping in line with Champion Hills' welcoming atmosphere, a Vertical Membership was created, extending the full benefits and privileges of its full range of golf and social memberships to immediate family at no extra cost. The enhanced Vertical Membership includes Champion Hills’ new Equity 55 Golf in addition to its Full and Social Equity offerings. Equity 55 is a full golf membership for those age 55 and under. The initiation fee is divided into four equal payments over four years, dues and replacement reserve fund contributions are reduced by 50% and the club’s $800 annual food and beverage minimum is prorated for new members. “We are excited to offer the enhanced Vertical Membership for all of our full equity membership categories,” says Champion Hills General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Dana Schultz. “When we see members’ families coming back month after month and year after year, it only confirms that vertical membership was a wonderful thing for Champions Hills.” Unlike many private, seasonal, mountain communities, Champion Hills offers year-round golf, activities, and casual and fine dining options. And since 2013, property ownership is no longer a requirement for Champion Hills membership. For more information, visit www.championhills.com. A golf course and community in the mountains like no other... that you can call home! QUICK FACTS - 700 Acre Master-Planned Golf Community - 477 Home Sites; Over 300 Resident Families - Debt-Free Community and Club - Just Minutes From Hendersonville and Asheville - Miles of Hiking Trails On Site; Endless Outdoor Recreation Nearby - Tom Fazio Designed Golf Course, Open Year Round - Vertical Family Line Golf Membership - Extensive Fitness and Wellness Center, Tennis and Pool Complexes - Lodge Style Clubhouse - Indoor & Al Fresco Dining Options, Fazio Bar & Grill - Active Resident Population - Social Groups, Clubs, Activities, Volunteer Organizations The Mountain Masterpiece - the golf course in the mountain (literally in the mountain). Most mountainous layouts are riddled with blind shots and uneven lies that penalize even well-struck tee shots. That’s not the case at Champions Hills, where Fazio’s team of earth movers and shapers created level “playing platforms,” and shots often funnel to landing areas and pin placements. Champion Hills is not considered a long course, only 6510 yards from the tips, and designed with the amateur player in mind. Featuring five sets of tees, including three rated for women and additional “combo tees” placed 15 to 30 yards in front of forced carries on some holes, to eliminate those stressful shots for higher handicappers, golfers of all abilities can find their right length. Through meticulous grading and the creation of transition areas, Fazio was able to craft a design that only requires six uphill shots, unheard of in a mountain layout. Don't get me wrong, this is not an easy course but it is not a course that will leave high handicappers frustrated. With breathtaking views and the severe drops on some of the holes, a round at Champion Hills can be thrilling and one that you won't soon forget. Favorite Holes (all of them but here are eight that stood out the most). #1 Par 4 Simply because it is the first hole and just takes your breath away from the get go. You have to pinch yourself to realize this course is not a dream - this is real. A picturesque example of outstanding golf in a beautiful mountain setting which presents the golfer with a dramatic, long-range view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The first shot is played across a narrow ravine to a generous fairway. The short second shot is slight uphill to a wide putting surface carved into the natural hillside. #4 Par 3 A downhill par which overlooks an existing mountain stream. Club selection will vary with pin location on the deep green. Nestled in a valley between two hillsides, the green is supported by a collection of depressions and sand traps which flank the left side. #5 Par 5 A beautiful par 5 featuring a downhill, tree lined fairway with a small pond on the left side of the green. This hole is carved into the hillside, sloping rom right to left. The linear hourglass green is very deep and allows many pin locations and yardage adjustments. #9 Par 3 A dramatic downhill par 3 with a 180 degree view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Due to a drop in elevation of as much as 125 feet, tee shot club selection will change by 2 or 3 clubs. Choose wisely. The large green is guarded on the front right and back left by bunkers. #10 Par 4 The tree-lined, dogleg right fairway offers panoramic long range view from the tee. A well placed tee shot, slightly left of center can be rewarded with a distance boost on the downhill fairway, leaving a short downhill approach shot to the green. #13 Par 5 A short par 5 with an opportunity for birdie, if you can split the fairway bunker on the right and natural ravine left on the downhill tee shot. An approach shot to the right should funnel the ball toward the green, which is heavily bunkered and contoured on the left side. #15 Par 4 A long iron or 3-wood may be the club of choice to position the tee shot, for the approach on this short dogleg left. Converging brooks, both right and in front of the tiered green will force you to select the right approach club. #18 Par 4 The 18th hole has many natural features which combine to make this a memorable, dramatic par 4. A swift flowing mountain stream edges the entire right side from the green to the teeing area. Several natural waterfalls add to the beauty and excitement. Carved out of the forest, this hole is framed with White Pines, Tulip Poplars, Rhododendron and Mountain Laurel. The wide landing area sweeps from left to right. The uphill second shot needs to carry the front edge of this two-level large green. The smart shot should favor the left side of the green, avoiding the ever present stream on the right. Final Thoughts Perfectly situated in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Champion Hills offers a four season climate, a casually elegant country club lifestyle and a very active club membership. Champion Hills' elevations of 2,500 to 2,800 feet may not be as high as some High Country Mountain communities, but excellent Blue Ridge Mountain views abound, nonetheless. It is this lower elevation that makes for a more temperate climate. The short winter features an average high in January of 47 degrees and summers are cool with a July average high of 84 degrees. The lower elevation is what also enables the availability of year-round golf and given the more temperate climate perhaps presents less of a driving challenge during the winter months compared to some of the other North Carolina Mountain communities. With numerous onsite amenities and convenient access to all the arts, dining and culture of Asheville and Hendersonville, residents never lack for entertainment or recreation options. The Tom Fazio course is consistently ranked in the top 15 in North Carolina and is challenging yet playable for golfers of all skill levels. If you are searching for a Western North Carolina Mountain golf community, you may find what Champion Hills has to offer is "the full package"! #championhills www.championhills.com Read the full article
