I love this animation renaissance. And amazingly, all these films that r inspired by spiderverse still have their own unique style. Spiderverse is like a comic, Puss n Boots is more painterly, & TMNT is sketchy & more stop motion.

So I love Julien's take on this. A older comic book style w it's use of detailed inky black shadows to suit the darker vibe of the bat.

I think my amv's are such a wonderful amalgamation of the things i've seen and loved and been inspired by, every song is something I heard from someone else's art, animatics, animations, other amv's, and just songs i've heard from those around me. I'm so thankful to everyone who's ever taken the time to make something amazing. I hope no one ever thinks i'm just stealing ideas, don't get me wrong, I adore everything I draw inspiration from. The call? Learned it from a QSMP animatic! Yaelokre? Tiktok edits! Arcade? A Helluva Boss animation! Unbroken? A fucking cool Sims 4 machinima! Saints? A Gacha Life MV! Humans? An animation meme! I could go on but I made my point. If anyone ever wants to know what inspired my amv's, i'll happily tell! Each one is very special to me!

every time I rewatch another episode of owl house , it becomes even more clear how much of a step up s2 is from s1.

Like season 1 is good, cute, establishes characters, and I'm still pretty invested in it. It has some REALLY well animated scenes.

BUT SEASON 2. oh my gosh. I forget how much happens in s2. there's so many dark and emotional scenes. the animation is beautiful. Without spoiling, the music + animation + storytelling in some scenes is so good that it tugs at my heartstrings. Like wow the magic of showing without telling is crazy. Plus this season has so many plot twists? And even the jokes in the writing got significantly better.

I am not ready to finish s2 for the second time. And I am not at all ready to rewatch s3
