i feel like we’ve seen so many romantic slowburns but oh my god the FAMILIAL slowburn of The Last of Us….being like “oh my god he confessed he cares” “oh my god i will literally die watching the scene where he caresses her bloody face and hugs her” it hits different but it HITS...it’s also proof that romantic relationships do not have to be the most important, whether in a story or real life
