This one entranced me i ended up doing a lot more than i expected

Larrysworld as a concept very much feels like the Tomsworld of Bingsworld, so of course I had to do that one first

The requested headcanons below

I tried to avoid doing the thing everyone does where its just character's swapping roles and personalities, instead i kept everyones personality the same whilst just changing their role. Group of idiots band together to make films, shenanigans ensue

For Bingsworld

Bing- Edds role. Main director and the leader of the group. Skilled in general evildoing however his true passion lies in filmmaking, even if he's terrible at it

Larry- Toms role. Assistant/Friend(?) to Bing, somehow the smartest one there and usually left picking up after everyone

Laurel- Matts role. Actress they picked up a few years back during auditions, came to love the team and chose to stick around

Zanta- Tords role. Not particularly a mainstay, rather an old friend of Bings who will stop by often.

J.L- Ringos role. Beloved pet monkey

For Larrysworld

Larry- Edds role. Main Director and leader of the group. Passionate filmmaker who, begrudgingly, took on a team for the simple fact that filmmaking is kinda impossible as solo work.

Bing- Toms role. Old college roomie turned co-writer/assistant. Unfortunately he's not very good at either job, usually leaving Larry to do the brunt of the work.

Diwi- Matts role. Actor they picked up during auditions a few years back who chose to stick around, much to Larry and Bings horror.

Tom- Tords role. Old filmmaking buddy of Larrys, will pop in occasionally when requested.

I have to say, however bad it gets looking at a Holiday Special list of titles and characters, DC's almost always got SOMETHING there that makes me say "yeah boi!"

For DC's Very Merry Multiverse #1 (2020), it's the fact there's a PREZ RICKARD story.

I know. All things for all folks, people. Hopefully something else catches me as I go. I'm not actually across a lot of the most recent multiverse shenanigans but let's go.

It's a Horrible Life! - Harley Quinn. It's a Wonderful Life retelling for Harley, hopping between universes.

Christmas by Gaslight - Batman. Batman is chasing Eel O'Brien (who just stole a load of toys) and Mr Freeze (who is TRYING to steal the load of toys) and Eel accidentally blows up Victor, causing it to snow across Gotham (and drop toys in the street for all the children of the city).

To Stop the Star-Conqueress! - Teen Justice. I...don't really care about this genderswapped universe, but the concept of Klarienne the Witch Girl keeps making me giggle. Klarienne. KLARIENNE. Anyway the Teen Justice team defeat Starrla doing the space starfish thing. (Also this is VERY mixed up in terms of timeline. How are 'Donald Troy' and 'Laurel Kent' reasonably on the same team? They're based on characters 3 hero generations apart!)

Bizarro Love Holiday - President Superman. This is about the made up holiday "Day of Giving/Day of Receiving", which Bizarro hates as nobody has ever given him a present before. A cute small child decides his characteristic speech patterns are sarcasm and gives him his first present.

Holidays Beyond - Batman Beyond. Terry gets zapped/hallucinates with the bends and does a *sigh* Christmas Carol three ghosts of past, present and future. Dustin Nguyen's baby Bruce is the most adorable thing ever.

Night of the Magi - The League of Shadows. So the League of Shadows is basically a Justice League Dark/Shadowpact lineup? They're out to defend Saturnalia from the Lord of Misrule. Also there's a Ragman origin story in here.

Have Yourself a Bizarro Little Christmas - The Unjustice League of Unamerica. It's SANTA TIME!

Bizarro is trying out Christmas gift giving in Bizarro World but it's not working too well. Then Zanta of the Intergalactic Santa Corps arrives! Zanta is charged with spreading the joy of Christmas...whether people like it or not.

(BTW these elves really need the Elves Union, time to unionise little buddies)

Only, it being Bizarro World, he fails. Sorry, Zanta.

'Twas the Night - Booster Gold. Booster fights Maxwell Lord at his Planet Krypton restaurant (we find out that this was a staged fight to entertain the diners).

Prez Rickard's Magical Sci-Fi Desolate Souls Club Holiday Special - Prez. I'm quietly devastated Beth Ross doesn't appear in this.

Hmmm. I'm...not thrilled at the way Prez is used here in Earth 47? Now being an aficionado of Prez lore, I am able to say that Prez out there selling things on a TV show via performing acts doesn't gel with the original Prez run (where he was all too earnest about solving problems), what I'm going to call the Vertigo Prez universe (where he left the White House and disappeared and became sort of a totem to people), or to the New 52 Prez run (where after being President he became a senator for years/hung around lobbying Congress).

It feels like it's trying to be 70s zany without engaging with ANY of the existing Prez lore. Disappointing.

A Very Lobo Hanukkah - Lobo. Been a while since we had a Lobo story. Lobo's saving the dolphins!

Having now read several decades of 'DC does a Hanukkah story' in the last week, they've definitely evolved over time from 'look at this very base level explanation where we acknowledge not everyone is Christian' to this, which from my understanding is both engaging with traditional texts AND also running around gleefully with an attitude of 'we are allowed to adapt things and tell more complex narratives'. (However I am unsure of whether anyone stopped to think before using the KJV translation of Maccabees here)

Chapter 5

The soft glow of dawn filtered through the curtains, and you were lost in a dream when a sharp knock on the door jolted you awake. Disoriented, you blinked at the ceiling, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. The knock came again, more insistent this time.

“Who could that be?” you murmured to yourself, pushing the covers aside and swinging your legs over the side of the bed. You walked to the door, your heart racing with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.

Peeking through the peephole, you were met with the imposing figure of a stormtrooper, his white armor gleaming in the morning light. You hesitated, a twinge of anxiety gripping you. Finally, deciding it was safe, you opened the door slightly.

“Delivery for you, Mrs. Krennic,” the trooper said, his voice muffled but firm. In his gloved hand, he held a vibrant bouquet of flowers, their colors bright against the starkness of his uniform.

“Flowers?” you asked, surprised. “From who?”

“From Director Krennic,” he replied, shifting the bouquet slightly. “He instructed me to deliver them directly to you.”

Your heart swelled at the mention of Orson’s name. You took the flowers, inhaling their sweet fragrance as a smile crept across your face. “Thank you,” you said, glancing at the trooper.

You closed the door and walked into the kitchen searching for a container to put them in. As you transferred the flowers into a tall glass vase you noticed a note stuck in the flowers and plucked it out.

As you opened the note, your heart fluttered at the sight of the handwriting. The neat script was unmistakably Orson’s:

My Darling,

I hope these flowers bring a smile to your face. Remember, do not speak to strangers and stay close to our condo. Please don’t venture too far out of our neighborhood.

I’ll call you in a few hours to check on you.

I love you, Orson

"Don't speak to strangers" you giggled to yourself. "Does he think I'm seven years old?" You arranged the flowers carefully and then went back into your bedroom to get dressed. You had planned to go out shopping today but knowing Orson would be calling in a few hours you decided to stay in until you spoke with him.

Eager to speak with Zanta about the recent developments, and to let her know you were on Coruscant you sat down on your bed and dialed her comlink.

After a few seconds her gray-blue form was projected in front of you.

"Guess where I am?" you began.

"Are you not on the Death Star?" Zanta replied.

"No. Orson brought me to Coruscant yesterday. He thinks I am safer here than in open space, but I don't agree." you said rolling your eyes.

"Wow! Perhaps the threat is really serious! Here aboard the Manticore we haven't been told much. The little bit of information we have received is vague." She said.

"Really? Well, surely you heard Captain Umeda's sister has been taken hostage?" you inquired.

"What!" Zanta shouted. "No! When did this happen?" She asked bewildred.

"Are you serious? You didn't know? What exactly have they told you?" you said in astonishment.

"I can't believe this! Zanta's voice was shaking. "I just saw Captain Umeda three days ago. He visited the Manitcore to meet with our coms team!"

"I am shocked you didn't know! This whole situation seems very strange. Orson refuses to tell me anything, he insists I am safer not knowing."

"What could the Empire have that would make the rebels react this way? Kidnap, torture...murder?!" Zanta was very upset now. Tears began to fall from her eyes.

"Orson normally tells me everything. The fact he wouldn’t go into details leads me to believe its something very sensitive....and now...finding out you are not getting updates about the situation on the Manticore...this is all too much." you both sat in silence for several moments.

"How long are you going to be sequestered on Coruscant?" Zanta finally broke the silence.

"I don't know. Orson didn't give me a time frame, just that he'd be back for me when it was safe."

"Please, keep me updated...the Empire clearly wont." She said exasperated.

"I will! Please, Zanta stay safe. I will call you tomorrow." You promised.

Zanta’s blue-gray form disappeared and you closed your holoprojector, tossing it onto a chair next to you.

Your mind raced with questions you wanted to ask Orson. Should you even tell him you told Zanta about Captain Umeda’s sister? Clearly the Empire withheld the information for a reason.

All of the uncertainty began to make your heart race and your palms sweat. You decided to step out of the condo and clear your mind. Grabbing your purse, you made your way to the front door. As you passed through the kitchen, your gaze fell upon the flowers on the counter, and Orson's words echoed in your mind: "Don't venture too far from our neighborhood." You reassured yourself that a walk around the lake behind your complex would be a safe way to get some fresh air, and refocus your anxiety.

I've been reading plenty of Legacy-Tord redemption fanfics lately, and so I wrote a quick one myself in just 45 seconds:

Tord stood there, clutching his wounded arm, "I'm sorry for everything, Edd," he mumbled, his eyes welling up with tears.

Edd blinked and took a moment to think.

And so Edd gazed back at Tord before breaking the silence, "I forgive you, Tord. We all make mistakes, I mean, there was a time Matt used a time machine to brainwash everyone into loving him? Or when Tom turned into the new Zanta Claus and literally destroyed Christmas, burning the city to the ground? And, oh yeah, and I think I've killed like about 5 or 20 innocents."

Relieved, Tord flashed a smile before his expression shifted, "Phew, I'm glad tha- Wait, YOU GUYS DID WHAT?!"

Not as much as we used to. It has been weirdly quiet recently. Haven't heard from that one director, Zanta, or even our stalker in a while. Though, most of our "adventures" are self imposed now. I mean just a few days ago Tom almost ate our house.

~ Eddsworld Deathnote au ~ (character roles introduction post)

To start off, I haven't drawn the characters in Light and Misas roles, but I will spill who the characters are. Larry and Bing are the roles of Light and Misa, but they are VERY different from Light and Misa.

To give a brief rundown, Bing finds the Deathnote first, but he's dumb as rocks, and so Larry is the smarter one who takes the lead and is chill with Bing just taking the credit lmao. Bing has the Shini Eyes in this au, and is more Misas role, but it's complicated. I blend a lot of roles into one, this AU isn't one of those copy+paste AUs with copy+paste personalities and exact storylines over different characters.

ALSO Kira in this AU isn't called "Kira", they're called "Zanta"

This was at first a joke, but then it stuck cus yes. I have no explanation it's just perfect and comedic.

Tom plays Ryuks role in the story, basically (and also has some of Rems roles in this AU rewrite). Tom has more of an obsession with fruit in general, unlike Ryuk, being only obsessed with apples. Tom likes pineapples and apples most :3

Ryuk is honestly the only correct role for Tom to ever be in in any DN au, it is goddamn perfect, in general if he is not a Shinigami in any other DN au u are just blatantly wrong✌️🧍‍♂️*griddys away to next character*

^L!Tord (aka "T" or "Toad")^

Ofc, Tord is Ls role in this AU. A lot of aspects of Ls character is changed to fit Tord, but nevertheless, they are still honestly very alike. Like Toad eats a lot of bacon and meats in general rather than sweets like how L does, but Toad has replacement for why L does this cus the explanation is to "store energy" since L barely sleeps. Toad just chugs energy drinks 24/7 and also barely has a sleep schedule. There's other quirks, but that's an example 👍

To bring attention to the sock notes, there's also no "foot scene" in this AU LMAO

Edd is Nears role in this AU. Near is an insanely perfect role for Edd, they are honestly SO alike (MANGA Near specifically. In this AU most of the lore is based off the MANGA btw). I imagine Eel to be sassier than Near, more smug and outward about his pride when he backs Zanta into a corner.

Eduardo is Mellos role in the AU. Eduardo is so insanely perfect as Mellos role brooo also Near and Mellos dynamic is LITERALLY Edd and Eduardo shjsjdj. Lil quirk change, Emu eats dark chocolate and not milk chocolate like Mello. Just smthn I changed a tad bit cus Eduardo likes diet cola (that sounds kinda like an insult it's not lmao I personally prefer dark over milk chocolate- diet cola nasty tho I AM insulting that💥💥/lh /j)

These pieces of him are rlly lazy and noticeably unfinished, ik, making this mans refs were the literal reason I've taken so long to post this, I've given up. I WILL make finished art of him in the future tho ofc.

ok I gotta be fr guys, I’m not too sure how to feel about ANYONE anymore? So many ppl I liked turned out to be groomers or shit people and now my special interest is just….its being run dry. Listen, I love Tord. I love him so much and I love eddsworld too, I do not want to hate Matt. I don’t know him as a person so I can’t say I hate him, but to me it’s just so sad that all we are getting right now is merch. I understand the pain of having to carry on something your late friend made, but I just want new eddisodes. I didn’t like surf n turf that much, I didn’t like the end, but I don’t CARE because I love the series as a whole. I only recently joined the fandom again after 5 years and I joined where all the content is being ran dry. I even had a nightmare where I was friends with Matt and someone fucking shot him then I had a breakdown. I still remember that dream clearly, I hate that I’m so worried over some internet webseries. This year hasn’t been great and if Matt is gonna give us tord merch and tease his return, he should just DO it. Don’t drop shit merch and give us no new content

Really REALLY autistic rambling but I don’t want to hate Matt, there are very few ppl I actually do hate. Some people say they hate him and I do say I hate things a lot, but I just feel disappointed. I found a thing I love with all my heart and it’s just…barren. I didn’t even participate in the fandom much when I was in 5th grade, I wish I did. But now it’s just all AUs that I don’t care about, I want eddisodes. I don’t even care if they’re unofficial, I loved the Tord zanta clause eddisode that someone made. But yeah, that’s a load off my chest. I’ve been keeping that in for days, I’m tired of acting like this is all sunshine and rainbows (and lollipops).
