Some sfw headcanons this time, but I just might make a spicier part two. gn!shy!reader, Boothill is pretty soft here, might be OOC since it's written before his release <3

Boothill who leans down to steal a kiss and uses his infamous hat to deflect the arrows of onlookers' prying stares – to hide your pretty, flustered face and his own toothy grin.

Boothill who cracks jokes every time you go stiff in his arms. He's a tease, quick-witted and silver-tongued ('Hey now baby, who's made out of metal 'ere, me or you?'), but he never lets his hands wander if he sees the crease of uncertainty between your brows.

Boothill who goes absolutely ecstatic if you do something as simple as smiling and giving him a thumbs up when he's dueling. Boy, will he giggle like a maniac while bullets sing and blood spills. He wants to impress you – always – and he doesn't need much encouragement to show off.

Boothill who, instead of tilting your head up with his fingers, crouches down to meet your averted gaze – much to your embarrassment and his own amusement.

Boothill who doesn't pry your hands away from your red-hot face, but rather nuzzles into them until he can get to his main prize – your lips.

Boothill who loves how warm your cheeks get when he flirts with you like there's no tomorrow. He knows damn well they're warm 'cause he'll definately press his own face against yours. Flustering you even further.

Boothill who is so used to the good ol' game of chase. He's a hunter, a predator if you will, stalking his prey like a wolf day and night, patient and relentless, waiting for the right moment to strike. Your heart is one of a wild rabbit, you're always on a run from him, embarassed, flustered, nervous and perhaps even scared of so many things. But he's a master of cat-and-mouse and he will catch you eventually.

And when he does, he will sink his fangs into you.

"Do I make you nervous?" Boothill blinks, once, twice and his eyes land on your face. You're holding both of his cheeks in your palms, your iris stare intensely into his target shaped ones. He notices your pretty eyelashes flutter, the sparkle in your eyes, your dewy skin that makes contact with rough ones, your grin that graces your lips. His face reddens at the questions but he stands his ground and acts as nonchalantly as one Boothill would.

"Psh, as if. Ya make me feel nothing, woman." He mocked and rolls his eyes but doesn't make any effort to pull your hands off of his cheeks, in fact, he unconsciously leans further into your touch, your warmth that makes his metallic body feel as if it were human once again. It causes himself to scream joyfully on the inside, damn his mechanical heart that started pumping faster with each passing second. You were gonna be the death of him.

"Is that right, petal?" Rolls off your tongue, and in a blink of an eye you plant a kiss on his lips. After, you pulled back and gaze your twinkling eyes into his dull ones that grew as round as the full moon. You grin as you watch him blabber and trip over his own words. his cheeks reddening more than it was humanly possible, actual sweats formed upon his head at that very moment, he felt his heart stop beating for a nanosecond at your action.

Then, you felt him physically melt onto your body, toppling you over onto the ground and knocking the air out of your lungs. Causing you to wheeze at first but eventually laugh heartily. While still smiling, you look up at his face, he had a mean scowl as his expression. "You push my fudgin buttons.. and this is your punishment." He wraps his arms around your figure, situated himself comfortably on top of you and buried his face in the crook of your neck.

He didn't want to admit it, but he really was just looking for a way to cuddle you by engulfing you whole with his body as if he was trying to protect you from the air itself. "Dork.." you mutter out as you manage to free one of your hand, immediately finding itself in his locks, massaging and playing with his snow coloured strands. You can only giggle when he flutters his eyes shut in content and satisfaction. If he were to be a cat, he would be purring loudly after getting his way.

he loves it when his partners touch his face because that's the only part of him that can still feel human touch

i bet his favourite cuddle position is him being the little spoon where he's facing his partner so that his partner could rest their hand on his hand or entangle their fingers into his hair

sometimes he gets extremely hot-headed around happy families to hide his underlying jealousy

when he's drunk enough (assuming he can get drunk), sometimes he'll buy dresses for his daughter only to have another inevitable breakdown after he recovers from his alcoholic ventures

let's face it, during those rough nights, he bangs himself up a little too hard and has to get full body repairs

he does it because he thinks that if he bangs himself up hard enough, if he damages his cyborg body enough, he'll feel something even if he knows that it's a futile attempt

you'll find him in his room on those nights, his body dented and scratched and scuffed, asleep beside bottles of whiskey and a shoe box he kept with him, with pictures inside with his family

he gets so mad that he can't cry that he just bangs his head against the wall, leaving him to have bruises

whenever he coincidentally hears his daughter's name in public, his head whips around to look for the source, only to find that it's a different family calling for their daughter

same goes for the other members of his family

hes scared to go into relationships because he's worried that he'll lose his partner to something, like he lost his family

because his partner will be the only person who can ground him during those rough nights

those nights when all he wants to do is die because that's the only way he could be with his family again

the small touch of his partner's hand on his face always reels him back to earth, and makes him remember that he has a new family now

and they are willing to do whatever it takes to stay with boothill forever

i play hsr and after 2.6 i really like the hc of agere boothill as a coping mechanism for him so here’s some of my boothill agere hcs!

for starters i think he would totally enjoy stickers! having a stash of stickers that are easy to get on and off his body when he’s regressing!

maybe argenti even knows about this and doesn’t mind being his caregiver!! :3!

for sure has a bunch of farm animal plushies and has a cow plushie with a matching bandana on it! cuddles it and keeps it dear to him! its name is mr spots!

takes the time to play with toys he got from the xianzhou before having to scurry off but sadly while on the run and coming out of his regressed state had to leave them behind! :(

puts his hair in a ponytail whenever he regresses! to be more specfic as well i think he regresses to about when he’s about 10-12! maybe 8 when things are really tough.

loves a good fairy tail and warm milk to put him to sleep!
