Sins meetings are tiring!

I have two kids under the age of 7, I just wanted to share some funny/cute/interesting things they do and associations with their placements. :) 

My daughter is a virgo mercury and venus always pretends to be a dog, I’m just sayin’ hahah.

My daughter has a sagittarius mars (3rd), libra moon (1st), virgo mercury (12th) and I see this alllll the time when she’s talking with her brother. Lately she has been saying “I don’t want to scream at you but....” and “I’m going to tell you something that’s going to make you sad so I want to hug you first”, also that mars in the 3rd, god forbid you attack her brother in a game, she will protect him at all costs. :)

My son is a libra mars and he wants a dance party every day at least twice a day.

My son has sun (gemini in 8th), trine mars (libra in 12th) and lately I’ve been hearing him say a lot, “I never give up and when say I’m giving up I really mean I need a break but I’m not giving up!” 

My son is a cancer moon and a cancer mercury and I notice that he very much wants to talk about his feelings at all times, specifically with me. However the thing that helps him the most is just a hug.

My son also looooves watching youtube videos on absolutely ever subject ever. We watch art time lapses, dance tutorials, people mining for gems, sports, cooking videos. He cannot learn enough and I think it’s precious he has a stellium in 9th and his gemini sun in 8th. 

My daughter being a libra moon, she wants a resolution to all our conflicts, which is easy in our house. I’m a sagittarius sun in 7th, and my kids are both libra risings.

Another thing that rings true for me is the 5th house as your kids. My fifth house is virgo, I have jupiter in libra there. My daughter has two virgo placements (mercury & venus), and my son has a stellium in the 9th, both my kids are also libra risings and my daughter is a libra moon.

Anyway- these are just a few little musings, please be nice. It’s definitely mostly basic stuff and most of what I’ve learned is from reading all these amazing tumblrs for astrology but it’s still fun for me to see the connections in every day life. :)

1. Do you remember what was the first fanfic you’ve read in this fandom?

Oh man... I had to think about it for a minute because I joined Tumblr like what, 4 years ago I think. And it was after I started playing Choices when there were only 3-4 books. The Freshman was one of them, and I was searching every corner of the Internet for Chris Powell Fanfiction lol. The only one I found then, was here on Tumblr... and her name was Holly. She wasn’t here long due to some fandom drama (ha, weird right?) but she had written many Powell fics and I was happy to find the rare treasure. Of course PB made more books, more people joined the fandom and started writing more awesome stories... but she was a pioneer in my eyes. 😆 I often wonder if she ever came back under a different name....

10. Fluff or angst?

Lol seriously though, I’m not a big angst only fan - meaning a story that has no feel good resolution at all. I’m all for an angsty story or huge moment(s) that get resolved. Real life is too dramatic sometimes without our say so I like to “escape” into worlds where things work out, even if it’s after some hell. Pure fluff is good too, but I feel like it’s much richer as a reward after some angst hell. 🤔

13. One-shots or series?

As a reader... I enjoy a super long series/books. I loooove a slow, deep burn that drags you through many feelings and moments. I get attached to well written characters and I don’t like to let them go. But if it’s an established set of characters, one shots can be a lot of fun too... they are just over too quickly for my greedy ass lol.

As a writer... I think it’s safe to say I also prefer series 😅 though I bite off more than I probably should. *cough* The Freshman Chronicles *cough* but I’ve written some one shot moments and it’s been fun too. I should do more of those in between the long stuff to keep me rolling. 🙃

So here, have some Stucky recs, because I’ve read a shitton lately.

The post Infinity War Fix It Fic that your soul needs, wants, and deserves. It gives you angst, it gives you humor, it gives you a beautiful resolution and a happy ending and it’s just a delight. Steve has his life in order, okay. He goes to wizard college, even if he can't technically do magic. He has his own apartment, even though it's small and dinky and kind of gross, and forgets to exist sometimes, and might also be alive? Plus, he has a crush on the hot cyborg in unit 404 who cooks fiendishly good breakfast foods, and may or may not have some kind of weird connection to the sentient building they live in. He's not sure.

He's dealing, all right, his life is in tip-top condition, or it was until an eldritch monstrosity called the Hydra started posing as a real estate company to try and buy over his new home.

He's really pissed about that.

(The one where Steve is an angry millennial wizard, Sam is a Disney prince, Natasha is a shapeshifter, and Bucky is a spoiler.)

Honestly, this fic is ~40k of content that made me pterodactyl screech constantly. It’s beautiful, it’s so fucking creative that I weep with envy, and if you haven’t read it yet then I must respectfully ask, who are you and what are you even doing with your life???

Does every stucky fic rec list I make feature at least one fic by leveragehunters? Yeah, probably tbh, I’m not ashamed. I honestly have no idea why it took me so long to read this (and it’s sequel which is great and I also recommend) but I finally read it last week and honestly? It’s pretty freaking perfect. And tbh it’s just more proof that everything this author writes is gold, because while I LOOOOVE pretty much anything magical realism/urban fantasy/fantasy and magic in general, I’ve never been the biggest fan of animal aus? But I could read this like 12 times, so you should too.

Bucky Barnes is justifiably and righteously furious for like most of this fic and tbh I’m in love with him?

And because I’m an asshole and this is my rec list so I do what I want, I’mma link to Steve Rogers Is (Not) A Good Influence which is my fic where Steve Rogers and Peter Parker go on a road trip and Steve Rogers is a questionable mentor at BEST, as well as It's A Kind Of Magic and it’s kinda sorta prequel The Unfortunate Incident With The Swamp Witch. It’s A Kind Of Magic features vampire!Bucky, witch!Steve, gift giving/courting, a semi-sentient plant, and fluff. The Unfortunate Incident With the Swamp Witch features Steve almost getting eaten by Baba Yaga. That’s it. That’s the whole plot. (I have other fics -11 more of them to be exact!- but these are the ones I’ve written since I’ve been cooped up in a motel room so they take ~precedence.)

not really, when i think back, it’s generally the bad thing that comes to mind; i was a very lonely child well into my teenage years, and my relation with my parents only recently became good enough to call myself pleased as well. it could have been WAY worse, so i’d say it was just okay.
