The wild child, the mad lad, the resident scientist himself! I think about him a regular amount.

Left-handed.

His powers are more plant-based, and he's very good at controlling them, but inventing is a big hobby of his that plays into how he attacks. To put it in other terms, he's got Artificer software running on Druid hardware.

His eye color is a rare mutation of his draconic koopa biology, though it does give him some issues with his vision, hence the glasses.

He's definitely wacky, but he's not actually ‘demented’ or ‘insane’ like most think he is. That being said, he likes to play up the whole ‘mad scientist' act around other people because he enjoys their reactions. Maybe a little too much…

April Fool's is a banned celebration in the castle because of him. Not that it stops him from pulling pranks on any other day of the year.

His favorite fruits are more tropical things; kiwis, pineapples, and starfruit.

Prefers Chain Chomps and other animals to people, as he's not great with conversation nor predicting people. Rumor has it that he can actually speak with them, but whether it's true remains to be seen.

He occasionally gets nonverbal when an experiment goes awry, or when he’s so upset he can’t find the words for it. His siblings check in on him every once in a while, and he does end up speaking again after a few hours / a day.

His hair naturally falls into a mohawk like in his earlier depictions; he just likes styling it back to differentiate himself from Lemmy.

Doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, but he's a big fan of savory things. That said, he does have a fondness for carrot cake.

He actually made his glasses when he realized his eyes didn’t see well with traditional lenses… and because he needed something that was fireproof, blast-proof, and freeze-proof, just to name a few. When he realized he could market it on a professional basis, Iggy’s Glass was created.

He's a big fan of his veggies! He's not a strict vegetarian, nor is he opposed to meat whatsoever, he just likes his greens more. Like I said, Druid hardware.

Speaking of food, if he's craving something, he often decides what to have not by flavor, but by texture. He looooves crunchy stuff or things he can rip into, like sandwiches with hard bread or jerky sticks.

He helps Wendy with her baking hobby! Baking is just another form of chemistry, after all, and he likes having something to do with his hands. He doesn't like cooking much, though. Too much guesswork.

He makes so many things for his siblings for holidays and birthdays, and is always touchingly surprised if they get him something personal or practical (not that he shows it).

He got Morton a camera for his tenth birthday to support his scrapbooking hobby, and is secretly very pleased that Morton takes such good care of it. He also denies crying when Morton showed him the page he made of the two of them with the photos he took.

His handwriting is the worst out of the seven. Given how fast he needs to write to keep up with his experiments, and his habit of using short phrases that only he understands, it's really legible to just him.

He genuinely is pretty funny. His humor is skewed towards shitposter memes thanks to Roy and Larry, but his sense of comedic timing to drop a bomb or punchline is perfect.

Will respond to highly cursed memes and images along the lines of "Oh, that's AWFUL. I LOVE IT."

His currency is amusement. You wanna get on his good side or impress him, making him laugh. This is harder then it sounds; if he can tell you’re trying too hard, he’ll just blast you with sarcasm.

Ludwig is teaching him how to play the accordion. It’s just as chaotic as it sounds.

He's a big fan of bad B-movie horrors, making fun of them while also unironically enjoying how terrible they are. He's got a few posters of them in his room.

He was the dog version of a warrior cats kid. I'm sorry, but it's true.

He likes to collect bugs! It's not a very big collection, seeing as the Darklands is uninhabitable by a majority of insects, but he likes learning and talking about them to anyone interested.

One of the most terrifying generals out of the Koopalings to the troops; not because he’s especially mean or strict or anything, but because you’ll have no idea how he’ll react to something. He is, however, perhaps also one of the the least military-inclined out of his siblings, much preferring his lab to a war room.

Will wear the UGLIEST shirts with zero concerns. Will also wear socks and sandals. Wendy loathes him.

Doesn't like coffee; the taste makes him nauseous. He's more of a soda guy, anyway.

He and Larry are huge sci-fi nerds, and enjoy bonding over comics and mecha anime and going to cons together. Also a big fan of horror; the more gore, the better.

Cannot draw people for shit. Animals and plants he can do okay at, but more in an anatomical kind of way then any artistic sort of style. Blueprints, however, are a different story.

Genuinely likes pistachio ice cream. None of his siblings know why, nor do they want to know.

Like Lemmy, he's very much a fan of pulling a prank and doing the "ohhhh I'm just a little guy, and it's my birthday, I'm a lil birthday boooy" routine. Unlike Lemmy, this rarely works for him.

His lab is his safe haven; it may be a mess in some places, but it's his mess. If you touch something you shouldn't, be prepared to get whacked.

i can't stop thinking about Zo from hfw, and how underrated she is. she barely knew Varl for like, what? a week? before she was willing to riskitall for him and his best friend. took care of an injured Aloy for two days just for this bitch to wake up and disrespect her beliefs. and still took it in stride, no, took it SERIOUSLY! she "betrayed" her community and her spirituality in order to find out how to protect both. it wasn't arrogance that drove her to disobey the Chorus and to want to find out what happened to Re, Fa, and the other landgods. it was compassion, for her people and her gods.

Zo was a healer in the Red Raids. she tended to wounded soldiers and buried the seeds of those who fell. she lost her whole family while contributing, finding her village to be massacred when she returned. the smell of burning flesh she said, had stained her mind. she sought out vengeance and lived to regret it when the attack on Barren Light brought the memory back to her. and yet these experiences did not scare her away from becoming a gravesinger, basically a hospice worker.

when faced with the truth of her people's gods, she cries. not because they had to kill one, but because the idea of her gods not being gods at all is incredibly upsetting. Zo grew up in this culture, and it all turns out to be a comforting lie. except, as Zo explains, it doesn't change the importance of the grimhorns to the Utaru. because even if they aren't spiritual beings, they are still the reason for their harvests and the cultivation of their society. the Utaru still would not exist as they do without the landgods of Plainsong.

i love love loooove this detail about her personality; her willingness to find inspiration in tragedy, to seek truth and justice regardless of what the people around her or even she herself, believes. she's willing to challenge herself no matter how difficult in order to overcome her fears or ignorance. even when she's being BULLIED by Erend, she never raises her voice or throws insults back at him. she only challenges him (to some sparring) in order to prove to him that she is in fact a worthy opponent, and by association so are her people. she's a vegetarian, which is never treated by the narrative as weakness or softness. just a fact of her society; they eat plants, grow plants, live in homes and adorn themselves in clothes all made of plants. she's gentle and soft-spoken but also tough and vengeful. these traits coexist within her without ever appearing hypocritical. she's so real, and so smart. and she's going to be an amazing parent, i hope she doesn't get written out of the story of the next game bc of how hard it is to animate 3d babies. but she does deserve some fuckin peace and rest lmfao

PERSONALITY

His personality is, for a lack of better words, eerie. Most of the time he is silent and observant, and due to his past he doesn’t show his true personality often, but rather he morphs into a person that he thinks the others will like, it could be a mature young man, or a sarcastic little shit.

I believe that when he kills, he tortures his victims due to the fact that the concept of pain is foreign to him. He enjoys to try different torture methods

His biggest desire is to have a home. It is something he keeps a secret from others, not really because he is afraid of being made fun of, but rather because he feels that as long as no one knows, the fact that it’s never going to happen will hurt less. So he keeps that deep inside him, in a safe place, like a little photograph that he can take out and look when he is feeling down.

As much as he despises being angry (it reminds him of his dad), he can’t help it, he is his father’s son after all. When he gets mad, his first instinct is to bear his teeth and growl. And if the person he is fighting with doesn’t take the cue, he will attack, aiming for the throat as soon as he has the opportunity.

And talking about dogs, HE LOVES LIKE A HOUND DOG, once that he catch a scent that is appealing to him, there is nothing, and no one, that’s able to stop him. He is going to chase it until he has it in his maw, without very little regard as to whether he is hurting himself.

PHYSICAL

I see many people saying that my man is the shortest one out of all proxies, but, respectfully, I think they are wrong. He just gives me tall man vibes, HOWEVER, I think his poor posture makes him stand at 6’0, when he normally is 6’2, which comes really handy when he wants to scare his victims.

We all agree that he has the most beautiful light brown eyes, they are like pools of honey, warm and inviting, which contrast massively with the scowl he seems to permanently wear.

Although he is more on the skinny side, he has gained some muscles over the years due to all the physical work he does; chopping wood, running around, carrying his victims… sadly he covers them with either flannels or grandpa sweaters.

Still on the topic of grandpa sweaters, he looooves them, mainly because they remind him of his late sister, whose last Christmas present were two brown and green sweaters. His to go outfit is a short sleeved band shirt, a flannel, a pair of dark denim jeans, his old shearling jacket and and a pair of black Converse. When he is alone is his cabin he opts for a wife beater and a pair of flannel pajama pants.

His whole body is covered in scars, most of them being self inflicted, and fewer being the ones made by his bravest victims that naively thought that a knife would’ve stopped Toby from killing them. He doesn’t hate them per say, he even thinks some of them are cool, but in the coldest nights, when he is alone with his thoughts, he can’t help but to despise every single part of his body, including his scars.

RANDOM HC

He has a small collection of various trinkets hidden in a wooden box beneath his bed. Some of them are old photos with his sister, rocks that he thought they were pretty, keychains that he stole from different gas stations, etc. At first glance it would look just like a pile of crap, but I can assure you everything has a reason to be there.

He was born in Germany but moved to South Carolina when he was 5.

He enjoys listening to music, his favorite genre is old rock. The Rolling Stones, Queen, Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, Bon Jovi, Blondu… his favorite song is “Brown eyed Girl” and you can’t change my mind.

He is the softest person when it comes to animals, he feels so bad when he finds any dead animal near the road, and he always gives them a proper burial, he even says some words along the lines of “the world was cruel to you when all you wanted was some warmth”. He so cried with the poem about spiders.

Great to question! I think the only physical trait that bleeds over is his keen senses. Maybe he just naturally has good senses, but I’m sure as a wolf they improved much more in his Hylian form. But that’s it. I don’t think he really acts super animalistic, even as a wolf. Obviously tho, the markings on his face came from him being a wolf, but that was when Zant attacked. I love the idea of magic leaving a mark on those who are not magically inclined. Also I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not his markings glow. Cuz I loooove glowy markings

I’ve been debating on whether or not Legend’s pink hair is from the bunny or if his hair was just like that. I like the idea that being a bunny changed his hair color, but there’s a lot of pink haired characters in Zelda where I think that’s just a really rare hair color. So I think Legend’s hair is just like that. But his ears are a lot more animated since being a bunny :)))

And Totem’s hair is not dyed! It just happened like that after TFH. No one knows why and he lost his mind at first, but he’s grown to like it because a certain princess liked it.

And Wild’s eyes glow in the dark. Cuz why not.

Minish’s height is a big one. Minish magic shrunk him permanently. He kinda hates it.

Four’s mind never fully merged together so the colors are still split in his mind.

Hyrule’s freckles glow in the dark cuz heck yeah

And idk if this counts but the rifts completely took away Rift’s vocal chords so he can’t make a sound at all. I know this isn’t canon to the game but who caaaaares right?

okay so coming out of anon because I have been in your asks on anon so often lately it's frankly a little embarrassing-

My farmer's name is Rome :) he/him

Farming: As soon as he got sprinklers, it got a lot more fun. He loves calculating the maximum amount of seeds that can be bought for all the money in his wallet and realizes only after what a chore it's gonna be to take care of all that every single day (unless it rains). But overall good vibes, farming is fun and he loves getting new seeds at Sam's and loves harvesting them even more - all good for artisan products or for gifting to the giants, who, alongside Wakuu and Mark, are his besties at the moment :D

Mining: LOVES the mines. Went through the silver, gold and osmium mine shaft in a single day each (upgraded pickaxe and explosives and 50% time speed :D) mostly because he felt really bad making the giants wait for their friends to be rescued - and also due to his own curiosity. and the rocks sounds. and loot. and monsters. Maybe he should have become a minor of coral island instead of farming? but then he wouldn't get to experience the joy of nursing seedlings to life, so farmer-miner life it is :D kinda like a double agent

Foraging: foraging is money, to be honest. Rome honestly just pairs foraging with catching bugs and exploring the island, his first day was exactly that - running around everywhere possibly and picking up stuff off the ground, and it paid off, so he just kept doing it. He likes gifting shiitake to Mark (the reason his friendship with Mark is so high) and has kept a secret stash of wasabi in a chest in his house because he had a strange hunch he would need it later for something but can't remember what (I honestly just had a really strong feeling I needed wasabi for something in a previous save and just kept every piece I found in this one just in case :D)

Catching: Rome loves catching bugs. Bugs are great. Sorry, Sunny, but your wife is right, bugs are the best and I love them and the moths on the island are just absolutely irresistible. There was a brief moment of frustration known as the Tiger Beetle Crisis, but thankfully, bug traps solved this issue and all is well now in bug-enthusiast land. Also, he looooves catching ocean critters. He loves the word critter. It's so cute.

Fishing: so far, Rome hates fishing due to reasons mentioned in the previous ask (rant). The fish are really pretty, but unfortunately, he just catches more trash than aquatic life, so he's waiting to give it another chance a little bit later :)

Ranching: Embarrassingly enough, as much as he loves animals (and has animals), Rome keeps *forgetting* he has animals due to the unfortunate placement of the barn and coop he chose on the other side of the farm, so he goes through about three heart-attacks a day when he can't remember if he petted his cows and chickens that day (he named all of them after characters from Greek mythology or plays). In theory, he loves ranching. In reality, he also loves ranching but is very, very forgetful about it

Combat: He's a combat lover - at first, he was driven by wanting to learn new stuff and fill the bestiary, but now that it's all filled up, his main motivation is fulfilling requests for B.O.S. or just the compulsion to play with a sword while in his beloved mines :) (Personally, I think the combat could be tweaked to work a little bit better, but honestly, it's not the main focus of the game, so I'm not mad about occasional jankiness)

Diving: Diving is a sort of 'in it for the long run' sort of affair for Rome. He refuses to dive without having an upgraded scythe, so when Ling talked to him for the first time, he really just waited to get a bronze scythe before even dipping a toe in the water, but now, he's a little ways into the gold kelp area and entering a state of 'going diving when there's extra time at the end of the day' rather than doing full-day diving trips, since he's not that much in a hurry to clear the entire ocean (don't get him wrong, he wants the roots gone as much as anybody else, but this is the one area where he kind of wants to take his time and focus on other things first

Interacting with the Islanders: Local cryptid extraordinaire, he usually emerges in the dead of night when everything else is done and runs around, giving often-not-so-thoughtful gifts to whoever he runs into. Unless it's Wakuu, in which case he usually spends a portion of his hard-earned cash to buy the object of his interest a muffin and see the smile on his face :) He tries to be nice but struggles a bit with dead-panning obvious things (as much as dialogue options in-game allow). Despite some initial awkardness, though, he's managed to make Mark warm up to him, and that's *got* to mean something, right?

He's also trying his best to befriend the giants :)

Other:

What is their favorite building material? Rome likes building with wood :) He has a pretty wooden fence + plank paths on his farm framing the tilled spaces and is pretty happy with that :) He changes things up here and there with stone

What is their decor style? It's a bit too early for Rome to really decide which decor style, so it's a bit of a mix, but his favorite items so far have come from the blossom festival, which I think is shoji? I really the screen and chair + paintings in the early game to make the little house look a little less depressing :D

Who's their love interest? as much as Rome wants to say he's not really in it for the romance or that he at least wants to explore all his options beforehand, he's really just head over heels crushing and pining after Wakuu. Maybe dyed hair is his type? He's got green hair himself :) (used to be white, but he's circulating between the two)

What's their favorite thing to grow? in terms of type, Rome loves growing the seasonal flowers because he gets to feed the bees on his farm with it (he already has eight bee houses and only plans to expand). Honeymaking is his favorite so far, probably mostly because the houses are so adorable, and the bees need a home after all :)

What's their favorite animal? In ranching, he prefers the ducks, especially his brown duck, Persephone, who has a white counterpart, Hades :D But his most favorite animal is of course his pet dog Sammy (spike bonkers) who he is slowly building a better relationship with

Hange would most definitely have a feast day with a Baymax darling and since both of them are the oddballs of the group they would definitely get along great together. Though Hange might not be the exactly best option when it comes to teaching the reader how to behave normally around humans.

Considering that everyone in Attack on Titan has some kind of trauma though darling would have to constantly play the therapeut. Eren needs therapy, Mikasa needs therapy, Armin needs therapy, bloody everyone needs therapy. Who knows, darling might just open a group therapy where they ask everyone to tell them about their issues.

Depending on how advanced darling is they would maybe even work on a serum that allows those who have Titan powers to not die after 13 years. Considering that darling is a robot titans would probably ignore them similarly to animals which means that for the scouts darling would be a good option to scout the region and report where the titans are and how many there are.

Itoshi Brothers my BELOVED. I wasn't ready for them starting the episode with their backstory scene, honestly. Probably for a shock/suspense value to the season?? But I loooove the vibe of the scene. The still scenes and dramatic lighting caught me off guard but HOLY SHIT. They nailed the winter, cold, eerie energy of that scene. The warmer lighting was surprising-- maybe it's just me but I've always imagined that scene to be in cold, dark lighting. Fancy stuff, huh?

Besides that... Hm. Shidou looks absolutely unhinged in this episode. There was the extra scene of him and Rin going at each others' throats even before they get on field-- interesting addition. Not sure if I like it yet, the jury is out on it.

Not many comments on the actual episode yet-- animation looks as ever, not quite that bad. Art is BEAUTIFUL. I'm so glad they're nailing the vibe of the scenes and hitting every single point with the voice acting and character vibes. Aaaaah. I missed this. The lighting always makes me happy.

My favourite part by FAR has got to be additional time. I love the expansion on the characters. Rin wanting a room all to himself, pffft. Never change, Rinrin. Don't attack me, but I'm so glad they're giving Otoya more of a personality with all this too. He used to just be a typical stand in otherwise. Brilliant stuff.

BOTW Link headcanons

[no TOTK spoilers! but when I finish the game it's over for you bitches (update I finished the game but still not spoiling here lmao)]

I think Link isn't mute but definitely dislikes speaking, so he only speaks when he really has to.

He's very good at hiding when he's struggling with something or not feeling well, so people always think he's okay (people also tend to think he's emotionless because of his poker face but he's completely oblivious to it)

He used to know hylian sign language, but after his 100 years of sleepy time he forgot, so he picked up signs and code from different regions of Hyrule. He eventually relearns hylian sign but still uses the other stuff he learnt by reflex.

Boy looooves horses. He likes to sneak up on wild horses just to give them apples and carrots.

So much autism in this man.

you see how he always just has the master sword in the memories? yeah. he's an extremely skilled moron and prefers just having his sword rather than having a shield and bow alongside it, even if it's more practical and safer.

will eat anything. that's basically canon tho.

even after recovering his memories, he isn't sure how he used to think about the champions and Zelda. he knows he has strong feelings for all of them (he deeply wants to protect Zelda for instance) but like he has no idea if he loved Mipha back or if Revali annoyed him like he annoyed Revali. He's clueless.

He has a lot of scars and doesn't know where half of them come from.

After the calamity, he still sometimes has memory problems. He mainly has very bad short term memory and tends to forget what day it is, what week etc (no I'm not projecting)

He gets small flashbacks sometimes, some even look like very intense déjà vu because he'll like get a flashback of flying with his paraglider while actually flying with his paraglider.

He really likes his blue tunic. Its comfy and protects him, and it felt like a gift when he got it (when Impa gave it back to him)

He gets nightmares a lot, night terrors and sleep paralysis too, so he doesn't sleep much. He often just hangs out during the night and waits until he physically can't stay up anymore to sleep. (Zelda is so stressed out by this man he's giving her white hair. She tries to help but doesn't really know how).

he has intense panic attacks surrounding guardian stalkers, (unless they don't have legs). sometimes he's able to push back the panic until he's defeated or escaped the thing but other times he just falls to his knees in front of it, completely unable to function. he wasted a couple of fairies on these instances.

he collects flowers. silent princesses of course, for zelda, but he likes every type of flowers and loves to keep them and offer them to people or leave them on gravestones or near goddess statues.

he really likes his long hair, likes styling it and playing with it. he would hate to cut it

his eyes are really sensible to light from you know. being asleep for 100 years with his eyes closed

I said he loves horses but he honestly loves all animals. always pets doggies and likes to watch crabs dance around. he feeds animals when he can.

when he defeats monsters that were using horses, he brings the horse back to the closest stable or the closest patch of grass that looks safe and soothes them. also feeds them obv.

♥ this man will squeeze you like a SQUEAKY TOY!!!!!!! his hugs and cuddles are nice and tight, but just comfortable enough for a bit of wiggle room... but he doesn't want you to leave his embrace, of course!

♥ mind the claws! he doesn't intend to scratch you, but if he does please trust in him. ( he really doesn't mean to. )

♥ loves nuzzling his nose against your neck or shoulder, and also likes resting his chin ontop of your head as he cuddles you

♥ his red eyes if you look at them right under all that shadow kind of look like a glowing ^-^ face when he's happy. it's kind of silly. he's so content just snuggling.

♥ sometimes he'll breath weirdly heavy or grumble/growl sometimes when cuddling you. it's like, affectionate grumbles and growls though. s!3v3n specifically is just kind of. like that, y'know.

♥ he loves running his hands through your hair and clothes, and will often fiddle with loose bits of hair or cloth. like drawstrings and stuff. it's something to busy his hands with while he relaxes with you.

♥ ... speaking of hair, you also swear you can feel his wrapping around you when you two cuddle.

♥ s!3v3n especially is extraordinarily protective of miki, so he literally kind of growls at your sylveon sometimes like a territorial animal when they get close to miki, mostly out of habit - he's used to any pokemon trying to attack her, after all! i mean, it is kind of the point of pokemon battling and he did used to be the champion... he's only used to pokemon and people alike attacking miki out of self defense or breaking down in tears at the sight of her, so when your sylveon doesn't he's... confused, and surprised.

♥ but when he calms down and realizes your sylveon's feelers are just kind of massaging her, he grumbles and gives up... he eventually grows used to them though, and finds it very good that miki's finally got some other pokemon friends! especially since, well... the ones she had when she used to be alive are all gone, thanks to steven releasing them.

♥ he'll also pet or feed your sylveon sometimes... he has a few pokepuffs either made by you or that he takes totally legally ""buys"". sylveon kind of unintentionally becomes a pokemon that helps him with his mental health. it's ribbons can literally calm people and pokemon alike, so it helps s!3v3n especially calm down and get more into his right mind when he's upset. plus, sylveon's purr! so it's doubly therapeutic...

♥ ... s!3v3n himself also kind of purrs. you can really feel the vibrations in them - they're like, grumbly and you can hear them coming from his chest. it's nice to sleep to.

♥ his leg will sometimes twitch in his sleep.

♥ both steven and s!3v3n toss and turn a lot - unless they have someone to hold. they'll hold their partner all nice and snug, close to their chest, and they'll just sleep in that exact position for hours and hours on end. all he needs is a bit of comfort, and he'll start sleeping like a rock. of course, it still takes a lot of adjusting and a bit for him to truly fall asleep, but it helps if he's cuddling.

♥ all in all. he is quite the cuddler. he'll definitely give you bear hugs but in the form of cuddles... have fun with him!
