okay first OFF idc tams shorter than linh!! they're both like decently tall but everyone thinks tam is short because linh is just like that type of tall where youre all limbs..like zendaya so everyone looks incredibly short compared to her

idk if he's the younger twin which drives him mad or if he's older AND still shorter but either way he gets made fun of <3

re my last post (that was supposed to go here but sleeby eesha cannot press buttons properly and apparently queue and draft are too close)

linh does NOT have her ears pierced but has an insane amount of piercings like she has a septum, both nostrils, AND a nose bridge piercing, she does NOT have snakebites (lip piercings) bc there's a LINE but she is considering eyebrow piercings to match her bridge one

tam has double lobe piercings on both sides, a helix on his right, a tragus on both sides, a daith on his left ear and he's planning to get an industrial whenever linh gets her eyebrow ones. he does NOT have guages bc like linh said, there's a LINE that shouldn't be crossed

like tam and linh have the same amount of piercings except linh has it everywhere but her ears and tam has it only on his ears

both of them have dimples-linh's are incredibly easy to spot because she smiles all the time but tam only has one on his left side and he purposefully makes it so that when he's not scowling or anything his smirks go to the right so no one can tell (sophie is the first to discover it but no one believes that tam has a dimple so she purposefully tries to make him smile properly in front of everyone so they believe her!! she is only believed when at a sleepover keefe trips and falls flat on his face after boasting abt his balance and tam can't help but grin incredibly wide)

enough bangs tam let's talk about bangs linh, both song twins are diy hairdressers to each other, look me in the eye and tell me the two ppl who melted their registry pendants and decided to dye their hair with it are not...u cant!

so they decided to get bangs together, except tam went HARD and thankfully linh can make it so that it doesn't look so out of place. i can't describe his hair but know it looks good <3

linh in support of tam, decided to want lowkey with simply face framing "bangs" but unfortunately..instead of to the bottom of your nose/your chin which is where they're supposed to be cut, tam cuts them near the TOP of her nose, so linh has the world's tiniest face frame ever with parts of her hair that are just incredibly short. sometimes she can take them and spread them across her forehead into wispy bangs which are cute on some people! unfortunately for her, only tam can rock bangs so she has to wait MONTHS for them to grow out into true face frame bangs (source: me except i went to a hairdresser and when she asked me nose or chin, i said nose and she cut them like that...i loved them though <3 always missing them)

linh always has the urge to bleach her hair to dye it blonde but is talked down by tam every time, because in his words "there are too many blondes in our friend group do not leave me in black-haired superiority to be like every other bitch we know. including our significant others" (tam is dating keefe bc it's me and linh is dating whichever blonde makes you feel better) (sophie or marella bc i fully believe marella is naturally blonde but it's like a DARKK reddish strawberry blonde which counts !)

isn't it canon that it's hard for them to sleep without each other? if not WELL too bad it is now literally when they were little one of them could not sleep without the other next to them like literally impossible which was EVEN more amplified after they were away from home and it's gotten better now but they do find comfort in each other's presence and touch

little geniuses the both of them got their abilities YEARS before they're supposed to (im pretty sure i wrote in one of my fics that they got it when they were like 5?6? around there) ik it doesn't make sense bc oh but its weird that sophie got hers when she was five that's bc she's a telepath. telepaths are weird <3

tam's a NERDDDD i fully believe he's so interested in how everything works just like in general the nitty-gritty details of like lightleaping! and history of the animals and history of elves and astronomy all the things considered like boring or mundane and he bonds with sophie over wanting to know how everything works and they have hangouts with dex and fitz who explain to them what they want to know and sophie in turn tells them about how she learned it's supposed to happen with her human schooling (its me! you thought you wouldn't escape me making everyone friends? you're wrong!)

but like most nerds, he keeps his curiosity under lock and key hidden underneath his prickly attitude (something he and marella bond over because while marella loves to call him a nerd marella is literally THEE inner softie in the friend group like her and dex have a secret handshake tam is sworn to secrecy by the both of them not to say)

yes tam and linh are the first to know of each other's secrets but while tam can hide stuff from linh for YEARSS (his shove his feelings into a bottle mentality is showing) linh cannot keep anything a secret from tam and has ruined many surprise bday parties/gifts by this. the funny part is that it is ONLY with tam like u tell linh a secret involving pranking keefe and the only way you find out she knew is years after the prank happens

this is getting super long so i'll end it with this: they don't actually have a twin thing but they will say they have twin telepathy and have pre-rehearsed bits in their back pockets to freak people out

i think. i think i need to elaborate with my headcanons if you dont mind

sophies ear piercings:

her parents had her ears pierced when she was a baby

cute lil studs, just those two, until she was thirteen

she never wore extravagant earrings, they always felt too heavy

so she wore pretty much the same studs every day; her birth stone

after the kidnapping, she sorta,,, broke down a little bit and like most teenage girls, decided to get some piercings

biana was all over this idea

sophie, biana, della, and edaline went to atlantis together (of course accompanied by sandor) and visited the cute piercing place owned by an old friend of the ruewen's

this person pierced jolie multiple times

edaline and della went mostly because they felt they needed to be there, what mother wouldnt?

biana went first to show sophie that "really, it doesnt hurt at all!"

it did

biana may or may not have screamed a little

which really only scared sophie but at least she got a little laugh out of the adventure

and her fear of needles wasn't helping

so biana held her hand through the whole process

How to travel from Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang? You have a few options to choose: direct flight, buses, and slow/ speed boats. Let’s discover the best way that fits for your travel interest, your timeframe, and your budget.

Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang��flight

If you want to save time and can afford a flight ticket, choosing to travel by airplane is the fastest way. There is a daily direct flight from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang for 1 hour & 10 minutes so you can get to Chiang Mai after 3-hour drive only.

The flight is operated by Laos Airlines and Bangkok Airways and it may cost from US$90 to 150/ticket depending on your travel dates.  

As the flight may take off in the mid-afternoon in Chiang Mai, you can leave Chiang Rai in the early morning by bus and reach the airport before 13:00 for check-in before taking the flight to Luang Prabang Laos. The landing time is around 16:30 that allows sufficient time for resting and dinner after a busy day with long transfer.

Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang bus

Getting to Luang Prabang by bus is the cheapest and most comfortable way. The approximate duration is either 2 days or 3 days depending on your choice of sleeper option or direct bus.

The direct bus is highly recommended as you do not need to change the buses and have comfortable sleeper berths and spacious leg space. Price is US$30/ticket with a duration of 18 hours.

To purchase the ticket, you should arrive at the Terminal 2 bus station of Chiang Rai a day before departure to ensure the bus ticket is still available for you, especially in high season from November to March. 

There is another way for border crossing from Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang but inquires a lot more hop on hop offs. You may experience a few routes as follows:

Chiang Rai Bus Station Terminal 1 to Chiang Khong for 2 hours

Chiang Khong to Thai Border by tuk-tuk for 5 minutes

Thai Immigrations to Laos Immigration by a shuttle bus across the 2 countries

Laos Border to Bokeo Bus Station in Huay Xai 

From Huay Xai to Luang Prabang for 10-12 hours

Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang by boat

Choosing to travel by boat can be a great way to enjoy the amazing river view. There are two options: slow boats and speedboat. Whatever way you choose, the journey may start from Huay Xai side at the speedboat/ slow boat docks. The ways to get from Chiang Rai to Huay Xai is clearly stated above.

Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang by speedboat

It may take up to 6 hours from Huay Xai slow boat docks to Luang Prabang. You are required to show up at the docks before 11:00 as this boat may depart in the morning and there is no afternoon boat for your schedule.

In the peak season, the slow boat can be overloaded for more than 100 people so many complaints about the unpleasant seatings and the noise for a long hour. To overcome the boat trips, you should bring a pillow and wear life jackets and helmet all the time for a good sleep.

The trip will last for 2 days and is divided into 2 parts: Day 1 lasts for 8 hours from Huay Xai to Pak Beng, Day 2 is followed by the trip to Luang Prabang for another 6 hours.

Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang by luxury Mekong river cruise

You can absolutely enjoy a pleasant journey by booking an all-inclusive package by travel agents in Chiang Rai or Luang Prabang, from the accommodation, meals, cruises, tour guides and stops along the way. The expected cost for a 2 or 3-day trip is between US$200 to 500/person.

Here is one of the tour samples for joining this luxury option

Day 1: from Chiang Rai – Chiang Khong – Pakbeng

Early in the morning at 6:15 am, private car to pick up from your hotel at the lobe, by road 135 kilometers, it takes about 1.5 – 2 hours. You will get to Chiang Khong border about 8 am. Then check out from Thailand, our driver will pay a shuttle bus ticket for you. It takes a couple of minutes to cross the bridge to Huay Xai border. The Cruise teams wait on the Laos side to prepare the arrival card and visa form for you, so you have to prepare a photo for the visa. It will cost 40 baht if you don’t have one. There are two banks and ATM at the Laos border, you can exchange your money to kip, we have a van to pick you up to the boat.

After that, we take Mekong Cruise down the mighty Mekong River to Luang Prabang. The boat will depart at the slow boat pier, the passenger will enjoy both sides of Mekong River. It takes 1.5 hours to pass Laos and Thai border, calling Phadai mountain, then the river which comes to Laos for about 30 minutes. The boat has to stop Pak Tha, the border checkpoint. It take 45 minutes to Mekong village to learn the local's culture and relax. In the end, you come back to the cruise and a buffet lunch will be served on board.

After lunch is your free time to relax and enjoy the Mekong River. The cruise arrives at Pakbeng before sunset for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 02: Cruise downstream from Pakbeng to Luang Prabang

Departure time: 8 am.

Early in the morning, you can visit the Pakbeng market (optional). After breakfast, we depart at 8 am to journey down the Mekong River. The first stop is at Ban Baw where you will observe the traditional whiskey village, weaving village, handicrafts, and textiles. A buffet lunch is served on board. The boat stops again to visit Pak Ou caves. There are two caves, ‘Tham Ting’ and ‘Tham Phoum.’ The caves contain thousands of Buddha images. The Mekong cruise arrives at Luang Prabang, a UNESCO world heritage city, before sunset; and we have the van to pick you up at the main pier to Luang Prabang. Trip ends.
