i truly commend and admire marisha ray to no end because someone with less confidence or thinner skin (probably myself included) would've shied away from these big character choices after the way keyleth was treated but following keyleth up with beau and then LAUDNA is a true feat. she has never once backed down or diluted herself to be more palatable or even to just avoid catching the brunt of completely misplaced and blind hate from many "fans" + baffling misinterpretations of her actions. sometimes i get really upset about how some viewers talk about her choices and characters and then i just have to remember that she literally doesn't give a single fuck and neither should i.

Also! Your art style is gorgeous and that being found in 2023 and then refined throughout late 2023 and the entirety of 2024 really shows, as does your growth in panel layouts, perspective, and — as you said — experimentation. If you ever post your animation or video game art I’m looking forward to it.

As cheesy as it sounds, being able to laugh at funny comics and look at all the details of your art really made my 2024 brighter, even when things were hard. Including looking at your older art— it doesn’t need to be new to be enjoyable! I’m glad your art is well loved and it’s a privilege to have been here since the (near) beginning. I hope you take care of yourself in 2025 and beyond!

Thank you so much for keeping up with my art journey throughout these last two years! Two years!!! I am baffled at how that feels both too long and too short!

Admittedly, my art summary didn't manage to capture the fact that I did a lot of comic layouts that I'm really proud of. I also drew more backgrounds and made some very detailed works (*Dungeon Meshi spoilers for these examples*).

The growth is lot more evident when comparing my 'best' comics of 2023 to 2024:

Sometimes the growth is vertical, sometimes it is horizontal - and damn, sometimes it goes out of sight into the Z-plane. But it is always happening!

So. Apparently halfas are like phoenixes or something, which Danny would’ve really liked to know. 

See, usually with ghosts if they’re forced to retreat to their cores they reform as was, but apparently, since they’re still partially living, schrodinger's people and all that, halfas have to regrow their body from scratch. At least that’s what he’s understanding from Frostbite. 

But how come he has to deal with it? It’s Dan’s fault for trying to pull such a stunt! Oh, it’s either him or Vlad? Well fuck, he might have calmed down and is going to therapy in both the living realm and the Zone, but he’s waaay not equipped to raise a child except for like, monetarily wise. 

Well dammit, how long will this core incubation thing last, he has his new job in… let him check which offer he accepted again… He has his new job in Coast City that he needs to finish packing for and then all the rest of the stuff to do. 

What do you mean it’ll take months?! He doesn’t have months?! Urgh, fine. At least being a mortician isn’t that exciting, nor dangerous. Just hand him Dan’s core and he’ll figure things out for the living side of things. He’s sure Tucker and Sam wouldn’t be against helping, if only to try and claim favorite aunt or uncle spots.

It actually does crack me up how much of a TANK Magneto is vs literally anyone else. Like next to Charles it just looks unfair cause Charles is like, a Regular Guy with good genes who hits the gym, but then you check out Erik and it's like...where did they build you, dude. German excellence in German engineering I guess. I know he's built like a brick shithouse for the sole purpose of being able to physically back up all the shit he says. I remember the Vengeance comics where his powers were temporarily removed and he panicked for all of a second before he started throwing hands and was like 'I DON'T NEED POWERS TO BEAT YOU'. See also Axis, when he killed Red Skull. Prelude to Age of Apocalypse, the bar fight. Like he genuinely just enjoys punching people sometimes. World's most yoked 60+ year old. It's a bit silly that found it unlikely for Luka and Till to be the final match back then. The more that I thought about it, the more it made sense. Sure, Luka and Ivan are incredibly similar in terms of personality and image, but in terms of circumstance Luka and Till are opposite sides of the same coin. I really couldn't envision a better matchup.

I wanted to write a serious analysis post to prove that I have shit to say but I'm too tired so here's some hcs about their uni days before I log off for the night:

> light struggled with forming friendships prior to meeting wily. I think despite being affable, most people tended to like him on a surface level and as a result he never really felt understood or valued in any of his relationships (I also think he could be somewhere on the autism spectrum and masks whenever he's not working, but maybe I'm just projecting lol)

> light reached out to wily first, due to recognising their shared passion. I think part of the appeal could've also been in how wily didn't look up to light as obviously as everyone else, which, to light, made him more approachable

> wily was very averse to light's friendship initially. at this point, his chronic inferiority complex was in full swing, prompting him to pick out the "best" student in his course (light) and treat them as a rival. in his mind, light's attempts to befriend him were a form of mockery, an attempt to make the one person who saw through him fold. this was compounded by the fact that deep down, wily did in fact regard light with the same sort of reverence as everyone else, he just diluted it with bitter envy and hatred.

sorry, but I love the "set entirely within Lumiose city" announcement. That only increased the hype for me. I love a good, fleshed-out city to wander in. But mostly, to me, that indicates a change in the usual formula, which is really intriguing. Yeah, there's the question of where we'll get wild pokemon - which then raises the question of whether that even will be the same old mechanic we're used to. Or will something else be going on this game? Without a region to fill, how in-depth in the city can they get and what will we be doing?
