i truly commend and admire marisha ray to no end because someone with less confidence or thinner skin (probably myself included) would've shied away from these big character choices after the way keyleth was treated but following keyleth up with beau and then LAUDNA is a true feat. she has never once backed down or diluted herself to be more palatable or even to just avoid catching the brunt of completely misplaced and blind hate from many "fans" + baffling misinterpretations of her actions. sometimes i get really upset about how some viewers talk about her choices and characters and then i just have to remember that she literally doesn't give a single fuck and neither should i.

Holy shit it’s been another year????? The hell?????

Also! Your art style is gorgeous and that being found in 2023 and then refined throughout late 2023 and the entirety of 2024 really shows, as does your growth in panel layouts, perspective, and — as you said — experimentation. If you ever post your animation or video game art I’m looking forward to it.

As cheesy as it sounds, being able to laugh at funny comics and look at all the details of your art really made my 2024 brighter, even when things were hard. Including looking at your older art— it doesn’t need to be new to be enjoyable! I’m glad your art is well loved and it’s a privilege to have been here since the (near) beginning. I hope you take care of yourself in 2025 and beyond!

Thank you so much for keeping up with my art journey throughout these last two years! Two years!!! I am baffled at how that feels both too long and too short!

Admittedly, my art summary didn't manage to capture the fact that I did a lot of comic layouts that I'm really proud of. I also drew more backgrounds and made some very detailed works (*Dungeon Meshi spoilers for these examples*).

The growth is lot more evident when comparing my 'best' comics of 2023 to 2024:

Sometimes the growth is vertical, sometimes it is horizontal - and damn, sometimes it goes out of sight into the Z-plane. But it is always happening!

So. Apparently halfas are like phoenixes or something, which Danny would’ve really liked to know.

See, usually with ghosts if they’re forced to retreat to their cores they reform as was, but apparently, since they’re still partially living, schrodinger's people and all that, halfas have to regrow their body from scratch. At least that’s what he’s understanding from Frostbite.

But how come he has to deal with it? It’s Dan’s fault for trying to pull such a stunt! Oh, it’s either him or Vlad? Well fuck, he might have calmed down and is going to therapy in both the living realm and the Zone, but he’s waaay not equipped to raise a child except for like, monetarily wise.

Well dammit, how long will this core incubation thing last, he has his new job in… let him check which offer he accepted again… He has his new job in Coast City that he needs to finish packing for and then all the rest of the stuff to do.

What do you mean it’ll take months?! He doesn’t have months?! Urgh, fine. At least being a mortician isn’t that exciting, nor dangerous. Just hand him Dan’s core and he’ll figure things out for the living side of things. He’s sure Tucker and Sam wouldn’t be against helping, if only to try and claim favorite aunt or uncle spots.

#twewy #neo twewy #the world ends with you #neo the world ends with you #fret twewy #fret furesawa #my art #i really like fret! i think his struggles with his identity (regarding how he tends to act upbeat) are pretty interesting #especially with how they relate to his psyche #honestly as much as i find remind interesting narratively/thematically i did not enjoy it as part of the gameplay #there was this one remind section i was stuck on for twenty minutes?#i got better as i progressed but man. it was definitely the hardest to use #i've been thinking a lot about fret lately in relation to sora since i've been playing through kh #they both act cheerful and heroic to befriend/reassure people and consequently lose sight of who they are #it's actually so important to me that they meet and speak to each other at some point...#i struggled quite a bit with coming up with concepts for this drawing (similar to shoka)#when i have difficulty coming up with ideas for these drawings #i can overthink and start going down rabbit holes trying to find some semblance of an idea #that happened a little bit with this one haha #at one point i tried to think simpler. about how fret is fun-loving #then i remembered those target happy birthday glasses #and things started to come together!#you can't see it because it's so small but each candle is detailed to look like someone close to fret #rindo. kanon. shoka. nagi. beat. neku. from left to right (albeit beat and neku are covered by his hand)#drawing the glasses was a lot of fun! i think he looks good with them

something I like about 'broppy' in the shows is how they're really more alike than what I've seen people give them credit for. They're both really competitive (especially towards each other), always willing to egg the other on, and are never afraid to tell the other their opinion on something that's more often than not, NOT listened to, lol. Both are stubborn as hell in that regard, and they really just wanna one up the other in any way shape of form.

Branch is very very obsessive w keeping his bunker in check, poppy is the same w party planning. They take more than what they can handle sometimes bc branch feels pressured to by the people around him (to fit in) and it's kinda the same w poppy but it leans more towards her own high expectations of herself and how she has to do good for the people relying on her. They'd both rather eat their own foot than admit they have problems sometimes and would endlessly chastise the other for doing so, or simply just go 'i told you so' when the other guy finally relents.

and at the end of the day if you told this to their faces they'd deny they were anything alike at all lmao

It actually does crack me up how much of a TANK Magneto is vs literally anyone else. Like next to Charles it just looks unfair cause Charles is like, a Regular Guy with good genes who hits the gym, but then you check out Erik and it's like...where did they build you, dude. It's a bit silly that found it unlikely for Luka and Till to be the final match back then. The more that I thought about it, the more it made sense. Sure, Luka and Ivan are incredibly similar in terms of personality and image, but in terms of circumstance Luka and Till are opposite sides of the same coin. I really couldn't envision a better matchup.

Imma be honest I see complaints about lee know not being in talkers as much anymore but honestly after the last 2 where he was filming himself he always seems so 😐 about it half the time that I'm like okay stop hassling him to do it because it's not very fun to watch him seem kinda annoyed about it imma be so honest

This is so random but, recently, I've been feeling very happy and anxiety free, which typical isn't very common as of the last few years

There have been a lot of mental health challenges concerning medication, doctor appointments', trying to get an autism assessment (which on a side note, I'm FINALLY on the waiting list for one!), possibility of depression being a factor in all of this and more. As you might be thinking, it's been exhausting trying to deal with all of this plus art/commission related tasks

But with how positive my engagement with the Poppy Playtime community has been and the continued kindness from my mutuals in the Muppet community (those on discord especially!) everything has felt so positive and it's so enjoyable to interact with you all! If you're somebody who has left an ask, a comment on a post, tags in a reblog or fanart thank you so much for making my socials such a happy place for me to share my art and stories with! Love you all!
