Quelques news de mon projet 💼

Et benh, comme j'ai enfin compris que je ne pouvais compter que sur moi-même, j'ai décidé de ...me débrouiller toute seule ...et si jamais ça ne va pas à quelqu'un, je leur demanderai gentiment "vous étiez-où quand il fallait m'aider ?"

Parce qu'ils se targuent tous de vouloir t'aider ... mais ils t'enfoncent plus qu'autre chose.

L'ancien étant dans une pépinière, je me suis renseignée pour l'intégrer afin de me sécuriser. J'ai eu un rendez-vous et j'ai pas été déçue ...

Ah, c'est cocasse ça ! Non parce que je crois que le principe de la pépinière c'est de t'accompagner vers la réussite. J'en déduis que celle-ci ne t'accompagne que si ton entreprise tient déjà debout. Moi j'appelle ça un hôtel d'entreprise, pas une pépinière.

Sur le moment je ne réalisais pas la gravité de ce que j'venais d'entendre mais après coup j'avais envie d'hurler. Comment tu peux volontairement faire l'impasse sur la communication quand tu dois accompagner des entreprises ?! Certes, beaucoup n'ont pas les moyens de se payer un site marchant à 20k€ mais avant d'en arriver là, il y a tellement de choses à faire ...et pour pas un rond à commencer par gérer les réseaux sociaux, apprendre à programmer des post's, apprendre à gérer une situation de crise, apprendre à démarcher sans agresser ta cible, obtenir une certaine image sans avoir à lâcher un rein dans une identité visuelle (en commençant par une ligne éditoriale, des signatures de mail !) ...

D'y repenser, j'suis colère ... Grrr !

C'est faux ! Surtout en ce moment ! Oui les réseaux sociaux peuvent aider au début mais à un moment il devient important d'avoir sa propre vitrine à soi. Pourquoi ? Parce que les réseaux sociaux évoluent et les entreprises n'ont aucun pouvoir sur son évolution. De nombreux artistes ont tout perdu quand Twitter est devenu X, leur cible ayant migré sur Mastodon, Bluesky ou encore Threads.

C'est là que j'ai compris que je suis la seule à savoir ce que je veux faire ...

Car oui, un expert en marketing, en gestion d'entreprise, il a des compétences, je ne nie pas mais il ne connaitra pas forcément les spécificités de ton marché et de ta cible. Avec le recul, ça fait écho à la différence Entrepreneur/Manager que j'ai vu au bac et en BTS : L'entrepreneur, il est créatif, il voit des opportunités et il les saisit. Le manager lui, il gère. L'opportunité représente un risque et le manager en a une sainte horreur.

Du coup j'ai abandonné l'idée de me faire accompagner pour être sécurisée car ... tous m'étaient finalement plus néfastes qu'autre chose. Je pense encore aux "Non mais l'IA peut/pourra le faire" ...à chaque fois que je parlais de mon projet ... au moins que j'ai carrément douté de moi, mes études ... de mon utilité pour le monde (et oui ça va grave loin du coup).

Du coup j'avance toute seule !

Je fais mon étude de marché. Je me prends des stops monstrueux quand je demande à répondre à un questionnaire. J'ai donc changé de stratégie 4 ou 5 fois, je lis des livres pour améliorer mes techniques. Je démarche sur les réseaux ... on me répond !

J'essaie, je tombe, je me relève, j'apprends, j'avance.

En parallèle, j'suis active sur Threads. De mon côté, ça ressemble énormément à une sorte de Linkedin des créatifs mais avec des bonnes vibes.

Il y a peu, et je vais finir sur ça : en me baladant sur Instagram j'suis tombée sur une leçon inspirante d'une bonne sorcière :

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

I'm sorry for pontificating from down here but the US military-industrial complex is currently supplying a genocide, and this is not a new thing, the US has sold weapons to Saudi Arabia to starve millions of Yemenis, the Iraq war, the Afghanistan war, these are within memory. And though some people think it's not the point, it Is also true that there are trillions upon trillions of dollars that could be spent in anything else that go to the black hole of corruption (and call it for what it is, corruption) that is the Pentagon. Any of those resources could be destined to literally any other activity and be better spent.

I'm talking full contempt here. You should outright be HATING the military. Instead of lining up to watch Top Gun you should see it as a glorification of a fucking killing machine that serves imperial interests, enriches megacorporations and supports genocides. For the love of God be more angry about it. Goddamn.

Duolingo Sucks, Now What?: A Guide

Now that the quality of Duolingo has fallen (even more) due to AI and people are more willing to make the jump here are just some alternative apps and what languages they have:

Busuu (Languages: Spanish, Japanese, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, Korean)

"I want a good audio-based app"

Language Transfer (Languages: French, Swahili, Italian, Greek, German, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, English for Spanish Speakers)

"I want a good audio-based app and money's no object"

Pimsleur (Literally so many languages)

Glossika (Also a lot of languages, but minority languages are free)

*anecdote: I borrowed my brother's Japanese Pimsleur CD as a kid and I still remember how to say the weather is nice over a decade later. You can find the CDs at libraries and "other" places I'm sure.
