For a long time, summer was the only thing to look forward to in the year. The days were longer spent outside enjoying time with your friends and letting yourself sleep in until noon. As you grew older with more responsibilities that didn’t suddenly disappear when the temperature grew warmer, you began to lose feelings for the season. It made no difference in your life anymore and you longed for the days it would.
Maybe that’s why it was so easy for you to drop everything and leave your worries behind. A couple months in the sun, no stress, nothing holding you back.
”I still can’t believe I managed to convince you,” Your friend said for the third time in the last hour. You couldn’t help but roll your eyes, again, “I still can’t believe it either, don’t make me regret it.”
Hoseok mocked you using a high pitched voice, turning the Jeep Wrangler into the driveway of a modern beach house, “How could you regret these next few weeks waking up to the waves crashing on the shore?”
”What magazine did you read that off of?” Your friend asked from the backseat, laughing to herself at his expense, “I hate when you talk corny.”
”Whatever, you guys are so ungrateful,” Hoseok jokes, pulling the car in ‘park’ and powering the engine off, “Next time I’ll invite someone else to come with—someone who I won't have to beg!”
”Boohoo,” You pretended to whine, getting out of the car and racing to get to your luggage first, “You love begging for me.”
”You wish,” He says with a scoff, “Hurry up and find your rooms, I want to get down to the beach as soon as possible.”
The beach was at its peak time of day where the sun sat the highest and almost every foot of sand was covered with people’s belongings. Not far from shore were rows of volleyball courts and crowds of people watching and as much as you wanted to avoid that busy side, it was the way to the boardwalk. You had no choice but to follow your friends in that direction. They were steps before you, already arguing about which store to go into first or what food stand you’ll go to but you were distracted by the large Ferris wheel in the back.
Maybe your focus should have been on the matches happening all around you but by the time you realized that it was too late. The white ball barely grazed your side when a tall figure headed straight into you with a loud thud.
A low grunt left your lips as you hit the sand with such a force that it physically ached for a moment. Your hands and face were practically covered in sand it was hard to acknowledge whatever gibberish your assailant spat out.
He didn’t have time to get a good look at you as he rushed to his feet, taking your arm and pulling you up abruptly, “Shit, I’m so sorry, I—“
“It’s fine,” your tone came out harsher than expected and it probably had something to do with the guy who loomed over you, and how embarrassed you felt. Up ahead your two friends were barely realizing you weren’t behind them and turning to find you, laughing once they did.
The stranger let his gaze trace over you with sudden curiosity, not at all intimidated by your attempt at a scowl. Now that he was looking at you up close, he had to admit he liked what he saw. He couldn’t help but grin nervously, “I’m sorry.”
His smile made you glare as you dusted sand off your jeans, “Really? I can’t tell.”
“I… it’s just, usually when there’s a ball flying people tend to dodge it,” he was walking backwards now as you tried leaving, he wanted to face you when he talked and it made his cocky smile all the more unbearable. You’ve just met the guy and he hadn’t given the best impression yet. Honestly, you’re just tired from the trip and you’re hungry so you blame that on your mood but you just want to escape this embarrassment of falling.
A scoff left your lips, “Are you saying that this is my fault? Maybe if you all played the game on the court, you wouldn’t have run after it.”
You were giving him attitude and yet he didn’t back down from returning it with a sweet smile.
“Jungkook!” Someone called from behind but the guy didn’t bother to even look back at the paused game. Instead he kept up with you, “You’re right, it’s partially my fault too so how can I make this up to you?”
You stopped walking, looking at him. You didn’t know him and he didn’t know you so there was no need to hold him up from his game any longer, “Don’t worry about it.”
“But I can’t go on like this,” The stranger, Jungkook, said, “Not until I know you’re not mad anymore.”
The way you rolled your eyes excited him in a good way. He wasn’t amusing enough for you and it was rare for him not to be.
“Jungkook! Come on man, the game!”
“Y/n!” Hoseok said loudly, “Hurry up, I’m starving.”
Just like that, the two of you walked away from each other and you had to tell yourself not to look back at him. You didn’t want to catch him doing the same before he went back to playing.
“Are you okay?” Hyeri asked, still laughing lightly, helping you shake off sand, “I was going to help you but then I saw you talking to that hot guy and I didn’t want to intervene.”
“So considerate,” you mumbled sarcastically, trying to hide your smile as you walked the steps up to the pier and forgot about whatever was happening on the sand.
The stranger really was attractive, and if he hadn’t toppled you over like it was nothing you might have stayed a little longer. When you spotted him below you couldn’t help but look him over. He wore a pair of blue and white striped swimming trunks and no shirt which gave you a good look at his muscular back and sleeve of tattoos. Compared to the players around him, he looked noticeably different from the rest and you kind of liked that.
“What are we eating?” You asked your friends who shrugged, still indecisive.
Hours after the sunset and Jungkook’s adrenaline from winning began to slowly settle down, he walked along the boardwalk with his partner. The two of them are trying to waste time for a while before their night plans come along.
“I know Yeaun is around here somewhere and if she’s here then that means Chae-hi isn’t far,” Jimin said looking around the crowded boardwalk while Jungkook followed behind lazily, “Which means a fun night for us so let’s find them.”
He could hear what Jimin was saying but he wasn’t truly listening. His attention had drifted away from the conversation the second he looked to the side and found a familiar silhouette in the distance. Well, not too familiar but he recognized it from when he crashed into you earlier.
You were with your friends at some jewelry stand looking over all the handmade bracelets and necklaces, such a short distance from him. He could easily make it over to you in no time.
“I don’t really want to see Yeaun,” Jungkook said, eyes trained on you. Jimin groaned in response, whipping back to his friend and shaking his head. He followed his line of sight and jumped in front of him.
“No, look over here, we’ve got plans,” Jimin said hoping to pull Jungkook’s attention away from some stranger, “We told Chae-hi and Yeaun we’d met them tonight.”
“No, you have plans, I never agreed to anything,” Jungkook said with a laugh, clearly amused. He tried to see if you were still there but when he looked back you were already walking away.
“Don’t be that way, think about me. Your best friend, who has been trying to get with Chae-hi for weeks now,” Jimin begged, making Jungkook sigh with defeat. He didn’t say anything as he motioned for Jimin to lead the way and went on with his life.
There’s a story about how you found yourself moving into a beach house with your best friends for the summer. The opportunity sort of fell at your feet when Hoseok’s sister had to leave abroad for a couple months because of her job. She lived in a nice house on the beach that would need to be looked after and that’s when she decided to tell her younger brother about it.
Not long after, he came to you and Hyeri and asked if you wanted to join. It took a long time for him to convince you but when you realized how shitty life currently was back home, there was nothing holding you back.
Your first week has been fun getting to enjoy the warm water and sand between your toes. You’ve gotten into a bit of a routine in the area and you’ve begun to familiarize yourself with the roads and places. That’s probably why you were doing Hoseok a favor by helping him out today.
He’s busy taking care of some errands for his sister and asked if you could bring his car into the shop for some maintenance, considering Hyeri liked sleeping past noon, you had no choice but to agree to it all on your own.
“What can we do for you?” A guy in a dark gray button up and oil streaks across his hands asked you once you made it to the auto shop.
“Just an oil change.”
Jungkook had nearly forgotten about his encounter on the beach. There wasn’t much for him to remember anyway and he’s never been the type to hold onto something so meaningless. He carried on with his usual routine and busied himself away at work.
The shop he worked at was busy all of the time and it was a great distraction from whatever else happened in his life so he truly loved it. He loved getting to work with cars and getting his hands dirty. He worked with people he was friends with and sometimes, if he’s really lucky, someone who catches his attention will stagger in.
When he found you standing in the office with his boss signing papers he was visibly taken back. He had been too busy helping Namjoon take a wheel off a black Sedan, to notice when you came in but he was too late now. You were already finishing up whatever you were doing with Jin and leaving.
“I’ll be back,” Jungkook told Namjoon, tossing him the wrench he had been using and heading straight to the front.
You went across the street to the small diner and he had to think about this. Part of him didn’t feel the need to see you again, mostly because he was embarrassed by toppling you over and probably how he sounded. Part of him wanted to ask for your name, apologize and try and see if you’ll talk to him.
“I’m taking an early lunch,” Jungkook told him without much of a car as he hurried to clock out and leave for the diner.
You sat alone in a booth with your laptop open and scrolling through a website filled with job offers. It was partially out of boredom and a reminder that you needed to find somewhere for when you get back home. You could look for something in the field you used to study in but how far could you get with it?
“Excuse me,” he stood in front of you now, “I don’t know if you remember me from a few days ago but—“
“I remember,” you said blandly, looking up at Jungkook with a mixture of boredom and a small hint of possible curiosity. He looked very different with a shirt on, his abs weren’t as distracting but he still had an intimidating build. That’s why his pretty face surprised you under all that sweat and car grease. He was clearly one of the mechanics and has somehow made his way to you.
“Right, uh,” he swooped in to sit across from you, “I wanted to apologize. I didn’t mean to knock you down and sometimes when I’m playing, I kinda get a little too excited so I’m sure I was just talking and talking.”
You’re assuming he meant how he followed after you and smiled so arrogantly when you looked visibly annoyed with him. What you don’t get is why he’s apologizing again, you weren’t still upset over that.
“It’s fine,” you reminded him with a confused look, trying to read what he was really here for, “You work across the street?”
“Yeah, I’m Jungkook,” He finally introduced himself, “I saw you earlier and it was time for lunch so I came to talk to you.”
You didn’t say anything for a while and the silence wasn’t broken until the waitress came and asked what Jungkook would like. He brushed her off with a ‘Whatever she’s having’ and looked at you curiously.
“Okay,” You’re definitely not from around here because he would’ve recognized you so just who are you? He cleared his throat awkwardly, “Um, yknow, usually when someone gives you their name you say yours back.”
“Y/n,” You said distantly, “Can I ask you something?”
“Yes, anything,” Jungkook sat straighter, almost reaching up to fix his hair but stopping himself. He wasn’t nervous or anything but you’re not speaking to him with the same flirtatious tone and it’s confusing him.
“What are some fun things you can do around here other than the usual tourist stuff?” You asked him suddenly, “You are a local, I assume.”
“You assume right,” Jungkook nodded as he bit his lip in thought, “I could always show you better than I can tell you.”
“You’re a funny guy, y’know?” You smiled, “But seriously, what is there to do?”
He’s pretty sure that was just a rejection so it took him a moment to bounce back from it and tried to catch himself from doing it again.
By the time the car was ready, you were paying for your meal and hurrying to leave while Jungkook ate and enjoyed the last of his break. For the rest of the day he found himself thinking about you.
He’s lived a very repetitive and predictable life. Since early childhood he’s had the same classmates and friends, and gone to the same places and events. He’s known the same girls and has hung out with the same people for years. The only time he got any sense of independence is when he was gone for law school but now that he’s done and has returned home for the sake of his family and friends, he’s reminded once again of the repetitiveness.
Maybe that’s why he’s a little excited to meet someone new. He just had a strong feeling that you were more interesting than you let on and he wanted to know more.
He didn’t know that you felt the same and had to ignore these thoughts so you wouldn’t start anything with him. Jungkook was attractive and you’ve moved on from the fall aside from the slight bruising, and you were just trying to enjoy your time. Did you really need to meet someone?
In all honesty, he didn’t seem as arrogant covered in sweat, he looked good and he seemed nice.
But did that mean you wanted to waste your time with him?
It was a crush, nothing but a small, schoolboy crush that occupied his mind from time to time. In all honesty, it was easy to ignore when he got carried away in his day to day life, it’s only when he sees you or you cross his mind for the shortest of seconds, that he finds himself getting lost. He doesn’t care for the girls his best friend likes to hang around, nor does he feel the need to upturn himself out there. Lately, all he’s wanted is to be with someone who makes him forget about himself and maybe he wasn’t looking in the right places if he thought you could help.
It was wishful thinking for him to hold so much thought over a stranger who couldn’t care less to know his name, but that’s what he liked. He wondered when he would run into you again, what he might say in hopes of getting a response and what would happen after that. He even wondered if you’d be at the beach tonight while everyone told ghost stories and drank bottles of Soju one after the other.
What does he say when he finally sees you looking at him?
You spotted him first, hating how much you wanted for him to look up and see you too. He was with his friends and you had no intentions to approach him but… well, he was cute. You can’t act like he isn’t and he’s oddly charming which makes him memorable but it was a bad idea. This trip was meant to be fun with your friends and that’s it—you weren’t going to make time for strangers.
“For once we don’t have to worry about an Uber and can walk our asses home,” Hoseok said standing over a keg, “So I don’t know about you guys, but I’m blacking out tonight.”
”When has anything ever stopped you from accomplishing that?” You asked him, turning your back to the familiar stranger, “You’re never the one ordering it anyway.”
”No, he’s usually the one we’re pushing into the backseat,” Hyeri joined in on the teasing.
“Shh, why do I always feel judged by you two? Is this what friends are for?” Hoseok pretended to be hurt as he filled your cup with beer.
“She’s not from around here, is she?” Jungkook asked as he looked across at you. You haven’t noticed him—he doesn’t think—but he’s noticed you and for some reason that excited him. Well, for one specific reason and it was simply the fact that he likes you. Does he know enough about you to pinpoint this statement? No, but he knows that he feels strange when you’re around. That has to mean something. The longest relationship he’s ever been in was with Yeaun and he doesn’t remember feeling this excited to meet someone.
“How would I know?” Jimin asked when a scoff, barely bothering to look over at you. He couldn’t help but roll his eyes, “You rather think about her than Yeaun? You’re insane.”
“Are you sure it’s Chae-hi you like and not Yeaun? You sure do bring her up around me a lot,” Jungkook rolled his eyes.
“Isn’t it obvious? I want you to get back together with Yeaun so that Chae-hi will think about me instead of her ‘heartbroken’ friend,” Jimin handed him a cup of beer, “Take one for the team.”
“No, I don’t think so,” He chuckled, “We broke up for a reason so don’t push it.”
“Not a good reason,” Jimin mumbled under his breath but Jungkook chose to ignore it.
“There you are,” the devil herself said as she found him, “We were wondering where you two ran off, right?”
“Right,” Chae-hi agreed, “Hi Jimin.”
“So, it’s kind of boring here isn’t it?” Yeaun asked looking at Jungkook for assurance, “Plus all the low lives are starting to come in and I really don’t want to be around any of them. We were wondering if you guys wanted to come back to mine.”
“To do what?” Jimin asked while Jungkook stood back disinterested and distracted. He couldn’t even pretend to be interested when he was focused on someone else entirely.
By pure luck, he looked back to see if you were still standing where you were before and this time you locked eyes with him. Without much care for the conversation he was supposed to be in right now, he walked off while they discussed plans involving a hot tub.
“I’m starting to think you’re following me,” Jungkook first said as you nearly bumped into him in an attempt to get closer to the bonfire. He walked alongside you with ease, “First, on the court, then at my job and now here?”
That made you snort in disbelief, shaking your head and trying not to smile, “Someone seems flattered but I think you have it the wrong way.”
“As in I’m the one doing the most to run into you? No, never,” Jungkook spoke dramatically, “This is all by chance. There’s no way I could’ve seen you from over there and decided to come and talk to you instead. That would make me seem desperate, wouldn’t it?”
“It would,” you agreed, slightly amused now as you broke into a small smile, “I didn’t take you as the type.”
“Well that’s because you haven’t tried to get to know me, I’m honestly a catch,” Jungkook joked lightly, following you where you walked off to, “Or are you scared?”
“Scared? Of what?” You asked, stopping abruptly and turning to face him with furrowed brows. He couldn’t help but smirk, “Oh I don’t know… getting to know someone new. You give me the vibe that you don’t like meeting new people.”
“I love meeting new people,” You exaggerated childishly, “When they don’t fall on top of me.”
“I caught myself, so let’s not lie now,” Jungkook snorted, “Besides, who’s the one who walked into the middle of a game?”
As he said that, the two of you seemed to have drifted far enough from where the fire had been going, that you found yourself not too far from one of the volleyball nets on the shore. Jungkook looked down at you with clear amusement as you looked up at the net and he walked up to the abandoned volleyball that sat in the sand.
“Do you eat, sleep, and breathe volleyball?” You jokingly asked, finally giving Jungkook some response that implied you were interested in him even slightly.
“Only on the weekends, sometimes around noon or after work if I’m free,” Jungkook told you, picking up the ball, “Do you play?”
“No,” you told him as he began to bounce the ball back and forth between his hands. You looked back at your friends who seemed preoccupied with whatever new friends they made for the night.
“It’s easy,” Jungkook said, “There’s really only one basic rule, don’t let the ball touch the ground.”
“Are you giving me a lesson now?” You asked with slight amusement as he moved to the other side of the net, “I’m warning you, I won’t be any good at it.”
“I’ll take it easy on you,” Jungkook tossed the ball your way and although you reached out to hit it, you missed and it landed a few feet behind you. He couldn’t help but laugh, “Okay, maybe you try and throw it.”
“But how do I throw it?” You looked up the tall net wondering how you would make it over. You held it up and tried doing a practice hit while he tried teaching you.
“Just try a simple serve, you can hit it from under or thro—“
“Oh my god,” you broke out into a nervous laugh as Jungkook covered his face with his hand. The ball sat at his feet, completely oblivious to the fact it had just pummeled straight into his face. You covered your mouth in an attempt to stop laughing but you were embarrassed and couldn’t do anything but try and laugh it off, “I’m so sorry.”
“Really? I can’t tell?” Jungkook said sarcastically, sounding eerily similar to you when you first met but still playful. In all honesty, the pain wasn’t too bad but it was humiliating and the only thing he could think about is how you’re trying not to laugh, “You think it’s funny?”
“No! No, I don’t, I just um,” you tried to stop, “I just…”
“You just what?” Jungkook looked at you, slowly making his way to your side and you inadvertently began to step back, worried he might actually be upset, “You like laughing at causing other people pain?”
“Did it actually hurt?” You asked with surprise, still stepping back the closer he got.
“My ego, yeah,” he joked, “And I feel like we need to get even.”
“We did, think about it as me getting back at you for the other day!” You tried to say, feeling the edge of the ride begin to touch your feet the farther you walked from him.
“Really? So this was all part of revenge?” Jungkook asked, “I don’t think so, I suggest you run.”
“What?” You stopped to think, “Jungk—“
And it began. He kicked water at you once the tide was close again and without thinking, you jumped back. You weren’t wearing a bathing suit or anything appropriate for the water so he can’t. You’re in a simple top and flowy, long skirt, not something you wanted wet, “Don’t you dare.”
“Why? Scared of a little water?” He tried to kick water again but this time you moved back in time and he smirked, “It’s better than getting hit in the face. Will you take care of me if I get a concussion?”
You scoffed, laughing, “Don’t you wis—Jungkook!”
He ran after you as you took off in a jog and before he knew it, you were splashing water back at him, not caring about how wet you got. The night was young and you were having a good time, there wasn’t much to worry about other than making sure you got Jungkook before he could get you.
Not far from where the two of you played in the ocean with the moon reflecting against the waves, a few pairs of eyes watched you unimpressed. Jimin didn’t have much to think about the matter, he just couldn’t understand it. Why would Jungkook waste his time on someone he didn’t even know?
Yeaun was right here desperate to have him back and instead he’s wandered off with some stranger acting childish. It doesn’t make sense, and neither does the big grin on Jungkook’s face once he caught you and tackled you into the low tide, both getting drenched in water.
“Jungkook!” He ignored the call of his name as he watched you shake sand out of your hair with curiosity. You looked annoyed even if you smiled and he knows you probably are considering he pushed you into the water but you’re not cussing him out yet. You’re not screaming at him for getting you into the water so maybe it was a good sign.
“Are we even now?” You asked breathlessly as you looked forward to where your friends were and turned away from Jungkook.
“I guess, for now at least,” He teased, walking toward Jimin, “It depends on if I bruise or not.”
“I didn’t hit you that hard,” you scoffed, smiling and shaking your head in disbelief. At some point in your ascend back up the shore, Jungkook got you to finally give him your number. You didn’t question when his friend approached him, going on about something you didn’t bother listening to and turned in search for someone you knew.
“You look like you need a towel,” someone said from your right. It took you a second to realize she was talking to you, much less holding out a clean towel for you.
“Thanks,” you said, trying to wipe off some of the sand with the beach towel the stranger handed to you. Hyeri was off talking with some guy and you had no clue where Hoseok was so as of now, you were on your own here. The girl was pretty and she seemed nice enough so you didn’t mind responding to her approach.
“I’m getting sand all over it,” you tried to make some sort of conversation, “Sorry, I’m Y/n.”
“Don’t even worry about it, I’m Yeaun,” She said with a smile, “You’re not from around here, are you?”
“Is it that obvious?” You asked, laughing lightly. Yeaun just shrugged as she got closer to you, “Not really, but, well… there’s just some people you should always avoid.”
Your brows began to furrow with confusion, “Like?”
“No, I don’t want to start anything,” she shook her head no, “We don’t know each other and you’ll probably think I’m meddling but… okay, Jeon Jungkook.”
You didn’t say anything to that as you tried to get a good look at the girl. Yeaun was pretty with sun-kissed skin and golden hair that shone under the moonlight. She seemed soft and glowed with a brightness that felt contagious but you didn’t know her. You don’t know why she brought up Jungkook or why she even approached you so you had nothing to say back to her.
“I just mean… you’re not from around here and you seem smart,” Yeaun said sympathetically, “Jungkook’s kind of a known player and I don’t want you to fall for his tricks, trust me, he’s not worth it.”
“Trust me, it’s not like that,” you said, suddenly disinterested in conversation with her and more focused on finding your friends, “Thanks for looking out for me though.”
Yeaun watched you walk away and not bother to turn back and she had to leave like it didn’t bother her to be brushed to the side. She can’t tell if you took what she said into consideration or if you couldn’t care less and she didn’t like that. She didn’t like that she didn’t know you and she didn’t know about your relationship with Jungkook or how you know him.
His life was utterly perfect to anyone who thought about it. He had the bestest of friends, the closest family, the most money and a promising future. Everything he had ever wanted was handed right to him and in a sense, it made him arrogant. It was a given that he would end up that way and maybe that’s why he’s always surrounded himself with people of the like. He didn’t despise any of his friends, just sometimes, when he listened to the conversations they would have, he wanted to disagree.
“Yeaun said you’ve been avoiding her,” Jin said as he pulled a golf club out of his bag.
”Great, now you’re talking about her too?” Jungkook asked, lining his club up with a shiny white golf ball, “I already get enough of it from my parents and Jimin.”
“Well yeah, when you suddenly call off a year long engagement with someone you’ve known all your life, people question it,” Jin said, watching Jungkook swing the club back and shoot the ball into the air, “We’re worried about you.”
“Don’t be,” Jungkook mumbled, “Besides, there’s someone else, I don’t know if you know her, her name’s Y/n.”
“Doesn’t ring a bell,” Jin shrugged, moving his visor down to block more of the summer sun out of his eyes. He wore white golfing gloves and a pair of Raybans, making him look straight out of a country club catalog.
Jungkook sighed, growing more restless by the minute. He’s only seen you on few occasions and he’s yet to leave a good impression on you where he can ask for your number or something, “She was hanging out with this guy, I know you know him but I can’t think of his name—you dated his sister.”
“Hoseok?” Jin asked, “I remember hearing about how he was in town. How do you know this isn’t his girlfriend you’re hitting on?”
“It’s not,” Jungkook said, “I don’t think. I don’t know.”
“But what about her?” Jin asked, hopping in the passenger’s side of the golf cart, “You don’t know a thing about the girl but you like her and you’re willing to throw away your future because of it.”
“I’m not throwing anything away,” Jungkook said with a scoff, “But whatever, you don’t get it.”
He spent the evening golfing on a private course not far from the beach where you wandered around with a book in hand.
You enjoyed passing time with your friends but sometimes, you just needed time to yourself and you would find yourself wandering off on your own without much care for anything else. Your friends didn’t mind when you went off and you always made sure to tell them where you would go so there was never any problem. Ever since you got here, you’ve been doing things on your own.
“I knew I would find you around here.”
You didn’t respond at first, still debating if the person was talking to you, but one look up told you he was. Although you wanted to resist the urge to smile, you couldn’t help it.
“Stalker,” You said with a small sigh, closing your book. He didn’t say anything as he took a seat down in the sand next to you. “You’re on my turf, remember? What are you reading by the way?”
You glanced at the cover of your book, “Nothing exciting—how’d you know I was here?”
“I looked for a dark, brooding figure and assumed it was you,” Jungkook joked, “And just an fyi, my face still hurts.”
“I’m sure you've been hit worse,” You said sarcastically, sitting up and watching him get comfortable. He was dressed in a light color linen button up and shorts, the first buttons were undone and a cliche shell necklace sat perfectly against his collarbone. He was attractive and you’ve thought so since the beginning but something was holding you back.
Did you really want to waste your time on a stranger you won’t know in a few months?
“What are you doing tonight?” He asks suddenly.
“Sleeping, hopefully,” you told him, a small smile when you noticed him roll his eyes.
“It’s the summer, the sun’s out, you live on the beach—don’t look at me like that, it’s a small town. Word gets around when a new person shows up,” Jungkook said with a shrug, knowing it’s him who had been asking about you.
“You’re just solidifying my stalker allegations, should I report you?” You asked, laughing slightly.
“I’ll have you know, a lot of people would love to be stalked by me, you should feel flattered,” He nudged your knee with his.
“What? Like it’s hard? Word gets around,” You said to him, “I’ve already been warned about getting too close to you.”
Jungkook let his brows furrow as he took in what you said but it didn’t take long for it to dawn on him. As much as he wanted to act like there was no way his ex girlfriend would approach you, he knew her too well. Who else would talk down on him? Who else would feel threatened when he ignores them? What does she think she gains from telling you to stay away from him? Isn’t it his decision who he approaches and does she think you’re just going to fall in line like everyone else does?
This is the sort of thing that pisses him off. He’s not a bad guy at all, he doesn’t sleep around, he focuses on his goals, he has fun with his friends… so why?
“But if it makes you feel any better, I’m not very good at listening to what I’m told,” You finally said, standing up with your book in hand and pulling the sand-covered towel, “And I’m starving, so where’s a good place to eat around here?”
As much as he wanted to act like the cool guy and seem indifferent, he couldn’t help but break out into a grin. Without wasting another second, he got up and motioned to carry your things, “There’s a good food shack on the boardwalk. I guess I could show you around.”
“If it isn’t too much of a hassle,” You said playfully, handing him your things.
“So, I want to know, what’s a big city girl like yourself doing all the way over here?” He asked on the way up, “Or do you still want to play at being mysterious?”
You rolled your eyes, “I don't usually play games like that, I think you’ve got me confused with someone else. I just don’t talk if I have nothing to say.”
“Interesting take, I personally never know when to shut up,” Jungkook smiled, pointing up to the restaurant and walking in behind you, “But seriously, usually the tourists come to pollute our water and get away.”
“Are you always so observant? You give me the vibe that you like to watch other people,” You told him, sitting down at a high round table across from him.
“And you give me the vibe that you hate talking about yourself. Why else would you avoid every question I ask?” He asked, raising a brow making you scoff but you couldn’t deny it. When the server brought out your menus, she made sure to greet Jungkook like old friends.
“Do you really care to know?” You asked quietly.
“Why else would I ask? I’m not pretending to be interested, if that’s what you think,” Jungkook said honestly.
You didn’t say anything for a moment, looking down at the menu contemplating what to order and what to say, “Things were getting a little too complicated back home and my friend asked if I wanted to pack up my things and follow him down for the summer and I said yes.”
“How broad,” Jungkook said with a small smile, lifting a brow and waiting to see if you would add to it.
“It’s the truth,” you shrugged.
“What was complicated?” Jungkook asked.
He looked amused when you narrowed your eyes in response to his probing. “Adulting.”
“You’ll figure it out,” Jungkook shrugged, waiting for the server to come back to take your orders. He let you order first, watching the server give you a look as she listened and followed after with his own.
“How wise of you to say. What about you?” You asked him, handing the menus back and sliding your drink closer to you.
Jungkook distracted himself playing with the wrapper of his straw and shrugged, “What about me? We’ll get to me when you give me the juicy details.”
You couldn’t help but scoff, looking out the window to the view of the waves crashing against the shore, “What? I told you everything.”
He chuckled, “Barely.”
Rolling your eyes, “Rude.”
“Really?” He asked, biting back a smile.
“No. You’re actually pretty nice,” once again, you sighed, as if admitting that was hard for you.
“Nice? That’s what you tell a guy when you’re going to reject him. I just want to know more about you but there’s not much I can go with. How long are you staying?” Jungkook finally asked you.
“A couple months, are you already dreading it when I leave?” You asked, sounding sarcastic and amused.
“Maybe, you’ve left an impression despite what you might think. Crushing you under my incredible physique was destiny.” He could tell you wanted to laugh but were refusing to do so.
“Corny.”
“Funny.” He crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back in his chair and making it known that he was going to wait for you however long it took.
“I had this bad roommate situation I couldn’t take anymore and my lease doesn’t end for another two months so when Hobi asked me to come with I jumped at the chance. I left my job because it’s draining me and I felt useless so I figured it’d be easier to run away to the beach and deal with it all later. Happy? I was honest.” You rushed the words, half-assed the pace.
It was his turn to narrow his eyes suspiciously but gave in, “Content. You’ll figure it out, you don’t seem like the type to wait around for things to fix themselves.”
“Really? Because that feels like what I’m doing right now. I’m all the way over here where I haven’t done anything but run into this strange guy at the beach who I think might be stalking me,” You said, joking at the end.
“No, right now you’re trying to live in the moment, nothing wrong with that,” he chuckled, ignoring your joke.
You don’t remember much of what you said to him but for some reason Jungkook was very easy to talk to. Maybe it’s because you don’t really know him or expect anything from him at all but he got you too open up to him like you’ve known him for years. In reality you didn’t know anything about him or anyone here for that matter.
“Okay, okay, enough about me. It’s your turn,” you had finally said between mouthfuls of whatever the two of you ordered and Jungkook couldn’t avoid it any longer.
“Alright, I’m… also trying to figure things out on my own. I’m used to being with certain people and doing certain things and I don’t know, at one point I kind of got fed up with everything being so predictable. I want to meet people on my own and not because they know who I am or something,” He rushed his words, “If I could, I’d move far away from here but right now I don’t think that’s an option so I settle for next best and stick it out. In all honesty, everything’s kind of been a bore until I met you, you’re different.”
You raised a brow, mirroring his earlier stance and crossing your arms over your chest, unamused, “How?”
He smirked, “I don’t know yet, I can just tell.”
You never believe a guy when he goes on about how different you are from other girls because usually they’re just full of shit. You’re not good at picking the right person so it makes you wary to believe anything he says despite how good he looks saying it.
By the time the bill came, the server made sure to sit it without checking if that’s what either of you wanted but you didn’t hesitate to reach for yours. Jungkook snatched the small slip out of your hand and hurried the server back so he could pay for it in full, giving her a tight smile, “Just one check, thanks.”
“Sure thing,” she said with a light scoff that had you looking after her with furrowed brows. Something about the way she acted left you feeling confused.
“What a good first date.” Jungkook said at the end, walking outside with you.
“This wasn’t a date,” you teased, thanking him for the meal nevertheless, “But I should probably call it a night, y’know.”
“Oh yeah, me too,” Jungkook shrugged “But if you’re not doing anything tomorrow night, we should see each other again.”
“Hm, I’ll think about it,” You said playfully, “If I’m not busy.”
“You won’t be,” He smirked, bumping your shoulder with his as the walk turned bumpy and more trail-like as he walked you home, “But why don’t you give me your number and we can talk about it more on the phone.”
“Hah, smooth guy, aren’t you?” You asked, taking his phone and typing your number in. When you got to the soft trail of greenery and sand that led up to the backyard of the beach house.
“How about we watch the last few minutes of the sun set together,” he reached for your head and stopped you before you could head up the wooden steps.
“How about you don’t kidnap my friend for the whole evening!” Hoseok shouted suddenly, tripping over his own feet as he ran out the sliding glass door that led to the pool deck, “I’ve been worried sick about Y/n.”
“Not true, he’s been sleeping!” Hyeri yelled after him, “But you’re the guy who tackled my best friend on our first day here.”
“My reputation precedes me,” Jungkook held his hands up in surrender, “I’m Jungkook. I was just asking if you guys wanted to join us and watch the sun set.”
“How aesthetic, let me grab some bottles of Soju.”
Your attempt to end your time with Jungkook failed and he seemed pleased with himself for that. He was also polite enough to try and get to know your friends too.
He was having a crisis, he thinks. A real life identity crisis because for the first time in his life he thinks he likes someone—in a way he’s never liked anyone before. It’s pathetic and makes him feel so stupid because he barely knows anything about you but it’s the truth. If anything that’s what makes him like you so much. He likes that he can’t tell what you’ll say or how you’ll react to him, it’s exciting.
He just wants to know if he’s on your mind too.
“We’re still on for this weekend right?”
“What are we doing again?” The road ahead was a scenic path between mountain and sea that led all the way to this private property of his childhood home.
“Chae-hi’s birthday trip.” Jimin spoke from the passenger’s seat of the black pick-up truck his best friend paraded in when he wasn’t on his dirtbike.
“Oh, yeah I’m not going. I was thinking of taking Y/n sailing,” Jungkook said with a small smile, looking sideways, unable to miss the way Jimin stiffened and went silent. He looked back to the road, hand tightening around the steering wheel slightly, “What?”
“Nothing,” Jimin scoffed, looking out the window annoyed now. The drive was silent for a while, nothing but the low sound of music and wind blowing through the topless truck.
“What’s up with you lately?” He finally asked, “You barely know the girl and she’s all you talk about. We’ve had plans to go with everyone.”
By everyone he meant their mutual friends—not just his ex and her friend—which made things worse. He’s known them all for years and it’s hard to see them when he wants to move on and do his own thing. Jungkook tried not to let Jimin’s tone ruin his mood and sighed, “Sorry, man, but I’m not going. Are we playing later or what?”
“You sure you’re not busy with your new friends?” Jimin asked, remembering about the night Jungkook had dinner with you. He tried calling him that night to see if he wanted to go out for drinks just to be rejected because Jungkook was too busy with you and your friends.
Jungkook chuckled, “Don’t be jealous, you’ll always be first in my heart.”
“Oh fuck off,” Jimin rolled his eyes, trying to not sound bitter as he asked, “What’s your girl doing anyway?”
“Y/n’s not my girl—yet, I don’t know. She hasn’t texted back,” Jungkook said worriedly, making Jimin stare at him strangely.
It’s not that he had anything against you personally, he just doesn’t get it. You’re a complete stranger who won’t stick around so why has his best friend chosen to hang out with you so much recently. What did you have over the people he’s known all his life? What do you bring to the table?
What did you gain from being around Jungkook?
You couldn’t explain it either. All you really knew was that a cute guy who sort of annoyed you in the beginning was starting to rub off on you. You’ve come to enjoy running into him and forcing yourself to open up because he’ll listen. It made you feel weird in a good way. You wanted to think about how fun it was to be around him and ignore all the worries you’ve had recently.
Even with your close friends, you’ve long since stopped talking about the people you were interested in. It wasn’t because you didn’t trust them or want their advice but sometimes you didn’t feel the need to say anything—especially if it was harmless fun. That’s why when Hyeri approached you about Jungkook, you weren’t sure what to say.
“It’s no fair,” Hyeri picked through a crate of strawberries, dropping them into a basket, “I wanted to find a little beach boyfriend, why’d you get lucky instead.”
“What are you talking about?” You asked dumbly, following her down the aisle of produce at the farmer’s market.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about,” Hyeri said accusingly, “Jungkook.”
“We’re just hanging out,” You said with a shrug that made her laugh, pushing her sunglasses into her hairline. You knocked against one end of a green watermelon, hoisting it in your hands and continuing past her.
“Right, is that what you called your date the other night? Just a nice early dinner with a hot guy who asked to watch the sunset with you?” She said playfully, “You like him, don’t you.”
“I don’t know him,” You insisted. Yes, you’ve talked a lot with Jungkook recently and you’ve begun to talk about real things in your lives but did that really mean anything? “Besides, in a month and a half I’ll be in my new place settling back into the old routine. It’s just fun hanging out with him, nothing more, it’d be too complicated.”
“Whatever you say,” Hyeri sighed.
You’re lying, obviously you’re lying because you do sort of like him but you didn’t want to think about it. You didn’t want to think about what you could become, you only want to think about now and how things progress. Whatever happens, happens. That’s it. Could you pretend like you have no worries aside from who you’ll run into on the beach instead?
When your phone rang, you knew immediately who it could’ve been and although Hyeri walked ahead, acting like she couldn’t hear it, she was clearly listening. When you answered Jungkook’s call, he was quick to ask about your plans for the upcoming weekend.
“You want to take me sailing?”
Despite the early hours where the sun has yet to shine through, you still couldn’t wrap your mind around it. Even walking along the dock following after Jungkook who led the way through the darkness of the starry sky. “Or are you plotting my murder?”
“Which would you prefer I do?” He asked teasingly, looking back at you with a grin, “But seriously, it’ll be fun.”
Fun wasn’t waking up before the sun did, nor was it following a man you barely know out to the sea. If it weren’t for Hyeri begging you to take up his offer, you wouldn’t be here right now.
The sailing yacht was bigger than you expected with a small cabin area below deck to sleep and wash up in. You’ve never been on a sailboat before but you didn’t think they would look this nice and clean.
“This is yours?” You asked, watching him put in the arm work to undo the rope that tied the boat to the dock.
“Um, yeah,” Jungkook answered blandly, “Kinda?”
“Kinda?”
“Yeah, it’s mine,” he cleared his throat, helping you carry your bag down to the room before bringing you back up to the galley, “I used to be on a sailing team when I was in school and after I graduated I got this for my friends and I.”
“Nice,” You looked around, still in shock at the size of the sails. It was a Beneteau Oceanis 48 with such a sleek, clean look you were scared to sit on any part of it. You wanted to ask how much it was but resisted the urge to, scared you’d sound rude.
Still half asleep, you watched Jungkook set sail behind the wheel, his jacket already off and the sleeves of his linen shirt.
“Sleep a little, we’ve got time,” he said lastly.
It went easy between you two, you felt comfortable and for some reason safe with him enough to letyourself relax around him. You can't remember falling asleep but at some point you had and when you were woken up it was with him dropping anchor in the middle of the open sea.
The waves were calm, breathtaking deep blue and you could see the line of gold separating the ocean from the sky. It was beginning to warm up but you still shivered in your thin sweater, looking up feeling awestruck by the view.
"Look who's finally awake," Jungkook said softly as he secured the wheel and came over to where you sat. He grabbed his jacket — that he had grown too hot for — and placed it over your front. You took in the light scent of his cologne that lingered on the Northface and thanked him, "You said I could sleep."
"I know," he sat across from you, looking at you with a gentle look on his eyes, "I did wake you up pretty early, but look at the view. Do you like it?"
"Yeah, it's nice," You leaned against the edge of the seat, staring down at the dark navy blue water, almost catching your reflection in it. The line of gold was beginning to widen and a circle of light was bouncing off the ocean beautifully. "If you plan on pushing me over the edge, now's the time."
"You're dumb," he laughed, kicking your foot with his playfully. You smiled, trying not to laugh as you looked at him, "Aren't you cold?"
"No, it's hard work getting a sail boat out and I was starting to sweat," Jungkook lifted an arm, flexing it, "But these guns never fail me."
"That's too bad, I was hoping you'd want to keep me warm but I don't want you to overheat," You teased, looking at him invitingly and his eyes shifted to the open space next to you. To set it off, you even winked.
"You know what, now that you mention it, being surrounded by this sea breeze is making me a little chilly," Jungkook pretended to shiver as he got up.
"The sun's rising, I'm sure you'll warm up again really soon," You said as he sat next to you, touching your leg and making you put it on his lap.
"Who knows, I'm suddenly freezing, come closer," he rested his arm on the back of your seat, pulling you onto his lap, "I heard body heat is good to warm up."
"You can always just put your jacket on," You pretended to argue making him roll your eyes, almost sassily.
"But you look so much better in it," He brushed hair out of your face that the wind blew over, finger softly tracing the side of your face.
"I hate to admit this but... you're too good to be true," You said honestly, shifting your gaze away, "Like, too perfect."
"But I'm not," Jungkook argued quietly, "I'm just... I don't know, I'm not acting like myself—or maybe I am and haven't realized it but I think it's you. I want to impress you."
You didn't know how to respond but he didn't mind. He was more focused on the soft glimmer in your eye as you watched the sky turn a powder blue with orange, hearing the seagulls and light whooshing sound of the sails.
It's bad how affected you're leaving him and you don't even know it.
"Y/n," Jungkook tried getting your attention again, leaned his head against your shoulder. You didn't have to say anything to know what he was asking. The first soft brush of his lips against your jaw had you succumbing to his effect. He tilted your chin with the tip of his fingers, catching your lips with his, finally.
How do you describe it?
How do you explain how soft and tender his lips felt? How his fingers grazing your skin sent a shiver down your spine and how he was surprisingly very loving with his affection?
This man who you barely knew and trusted too much was making you melt in his arms, kissing you and making it feel like you've never been kissed before.
"This is bad," he mumbled against your lips, pulling back to catch his breath, eyes still closed, "I really like you."
You gave him one quick peck of a kiss, sitting up, "Tell me all about it then."
Jungkook couldn't he'll but crack a grin, licking the taste of you off his lips. He wouldn't be able to shut up if he did.
You're beautiful, stunning, truly.
Even with your face in sand or your hair a mess, a scowl or pout, just beautiful to him. It was so stupid for him to be swayed by that but it's obviously what pulled him in first.
You were so mean—he thought, at least—but it never stopped him from approaching you. It's like he knew it wasn't your intention to come off so cold and when you'd joke back with him, he could see the hint of mischief in your eyes. It made him want to push your buttons or say something he knew would get a reaction from you.
You're different and he wishes it didn't sound so stupid like he knew you would think if he ever told you but you are. You're like no one he's met—really met, beyond surface level interests or habits. You responded differently, looked at him differently, treated him different.
"I won't shut up if I do," he said honestly, "Can't I just show you, instead?"
"How suggestive," you giggled, letting him kiss you again. There was more force to it this time, like he really meant it. The first one was firm and teasing, really testing the waters when his hand disappeared into your hair to keep you from pulling away.
You were spending the golden hour of the late sunrise with Jungkook sailing on a boat in the ocean. The view was amazing and his lips were so soft.
His lip ring is surprisingly warm when it brushes your lips, and his tongue feels slick against yours. He held you closely making you feel secure and safe [?], and at one point you made it onto his lap, practically straddling him.
You pressed closer to him eagerly and the movement makes his hands travel toward your hips for support, his jacket long forgotten on the floor. The seat was hard underneath him but if he mentioned it you might pull away and that's the last thing he wanted in the moment. Jungkook liked kissing you, he liked feeling your lips trail down his jaw and toward his neck where you didn't shy away from leaving open mouth kissed against his Adam's apple or under his ear.
"Y/n—" his hands circled around you tighter, "Have you gotten a good look at the cabin?"
Your brows furrowed momentarily, looking down the short steps to the cabin door where a big bed was seen through the window, "No, want to show me?"
You began to get up from Jungkook's lap, making his hands slide off down your hip, leading you to the cabin.
Jungkook wasn’t as subtle as he hoped to be when he pressed you into his chest, peppering your shoulder with light and teasing kisses taking you further into the room. A small smile played on your lips when you turned to face him, circling your arms around his neck.
He didn’t question it when you walked him toward the bed instead, making him sit down as you kissed and straddling him once more. You were a good kissed and Jungkook could attest to that by the way your tongue slid between his lips to seek his out. It was a surprise for you to be so forward with him but he wasn’t complaining at all. If anything it made him want to take it further. He wasn’t shy with his touches anymore and you could feel his hands circle down to your butt, pressing you firmly into his lap.
It was hard to ignore his arousal from your simple make-out. It was evident in his shorts and it made you want to keep going. You began to rock your hips against him lightly, feeling his growing bulge apply pressure between your legs.
“Can we get this off?” Jungkook asked about your jacket first, feeling you miles away and when you unzipped it, you pulled off your shirt too leaving him breathless, “You’re bolder than I thought.”
“Is that a bad thing?” You asked, watching his fingers trace down your bare sides, looking at your bra and chest. His finger hooked into the hem of your jeans as if to teasingly ask if they can come off next and you gave him the go ahead, starting to unbutton his shirt for him.
“Never,” he sighed, eyes closing when your hands touched his muscular chest. His hands snuck under her jeans playing with your underwear and grinding your hips against his worn more purpose drawing out a small groan in the process.
When your hips began to move on their own, teasing his aching member, he leaned forward to kiss along your neck, finding your pulse points with ease and reaching behind you for the clasp of your bra to get it off next.
Your arms circled his neck, hugging his head close to feel his lips on your skin and moved your hips with more determined rhythm. You’d be lying if you said his kisses weren’t turning you on and sending shivers down your spine. Jungkook slid your bra off letting it hit the floor while you wrestled his opened shirt off his shoulders and hugged him in a kiss.
“You’re so sexy,” Jungkook whispered, kissing the soft mound of your breasts, “Even when I had you in the ground covered in sand that’s all I could think about.”
“And here I thought it was my personality that drew you in,” You teased, letting him finally turn you on your back beneath him. He pulled your jeans off leaving you in your small slither of panty.
“Trust me, it did,” Jungkook said, kissing along your thighs, “Hurt my feelings that the pretty girl from the beach couldn’t care less about me.”
“A real shot to your ego,” you raised your knees
Jungkook leaned forward to catch your lips in a kiss, hovering over your body, “It really was.”
A small gasp left your lips as you felt his hand trace down the curve of your sides, slipping into your underwear and feeling the soft slope of your nether region. Your thighs parted more, letting his finger tease your clit.
“I wasn’t too impressed in the beginning,” You joked, lifting your hips when you felt his finger begin to feel around your folds, surely finding where the slick began to puddle. He used the wetness to coat your clit, raising a light sigh from your lips there he swallowed in a kiss.
“I’m well aware,” Jungkook whispered against your lips. You rose your hips to meet his hand, finding some stimulation that made your body respond with raise bumps in pleasure, “What about now?”
As he asked, his coated middle finger finally pressed into your wet cunt, with his palm against your clit and grinding into it as he pushed his finger into the hilt. You dug your nails into his tatted forearm to ground yourself against the sudden feeling and holding back the loud moan that almost slipped. He smiled, clearly amused by your reaction. He maneuvered his hand around so his thumb could find your clit and with it covered in your arousal it made the slide so much easier.
Jungkook’s long finger slide into your pussy with slight restriction, curling when he pushed all the way in and finding that sweet spot that had your breath hitching and probing at it. You were at a loss for words and he loved it, it made him want to kiss you as he brought you pleasure with just his hand. He wasn’t even asking for a response anymore, he was just trying to tell you how he’s felt while he makes you feel good on an expensive sail boat in the sea.
The sunrise had long been forgotten and replaced by the thought of how good he made you feel and he was happy about that.
"Oh, fuck." You gasped, gripping his armas he hooks his finger at just the right angle. You didn’t even have to tell him that was the spot that made your toes curl, it’s like he just knew it.
"Like it?" He asked, repeating his previous action, kissing along your neck for added stimulation.
He could feel you on edge of orgasm by the way you pinched his arm but he didn’t care about the slight sting. He cared more for the glazed look in your eyes, walls tightening around his finger.
It’s like he knew exactly when the last push would be, and his pace grew more rough, ready to get you there and finally your body gave way to pleasure.
“Pretty,” Jungkook said softly, feeling your release around his hand, letting you ride out your high and pulling his hand back when you were ready. Your breathing was shallow and the sight of your breasts falling and rising with each breath was hypnotizing. When he pulled back, he couldn’t stand the constriction of his shorts anymore. Without thinking, he licked your release off his hand before yanking his shorts down along with his usual Calvin Kleins.
Jungkook didn’t say he was ready to go further, but you could tell just by the way his cock sprung free from its confines. It was pretty and long, not too think nor skinny and fit his physique perfectly. He stroked himself here and there for some friction but didn’t hurry you along. Instead, he let you catch your breath as he watched in awe at the fact that he had you in bed with him.
“Come here,” you motioned for him to come closer with your index finger and sat up, fully naked before him and getting him in the bed with you. Jungkook followed in a trance, kissing you thoughtlessly and nearly biting your lip in surprise when your fingers touched the tip of his dick, feeling the pre-cum that leaked from the slit.
You barely had your hand wrapped around his pretty cock, giving him a small jerk up his length when his fingers circled around your waist to stop you, “Not tonight.”
You tried to read the expression in his eyes but he just kissed you lovingly, “I want to feel you, all of you.”
“What a giver,” You said playfully, kissing the tip of his nose and laying back with him following after you. He held your legs apart, lining his cock at your entrance, “Can I? I’ll pull out.”
You gave a nod of your head, looking down as his cock pressed forward, aching to feel the tightness of your wet walls hugging him.
You’re not sure what came over you then, but the feel of his dick pushing past your entrance made you feel bold. Your leg hooked around his waist, pulling him forward and watching how his jaw went slack. Jungkook looked down at how eagerly you took him and his arms nearly gave out, eyes rolling as he processed the sudden pleasure.
You still needed a moment to adjust to his size and he practically fused himself to your body, trapping you beneath his muscular figure, “Fuck.”
His movements were slow at first, thrusting gently to find what felt good and what didn’t, running gentle hands over your breasts so he could feel the fullness of them. When he thrusted his hard length in, his thumbs were circled your nipples, pulling his cock out and pinching at them. Something about the leg you had around him drove him wild, feeling your territoriality over him even if there was a chance it meant nothing.
“Jungkook,” you moaned softly at a particularly harsh thrust, scratching at his back unintentionally, “Feels good.”
Something was happening inside of him that he couldn’t explain. He wanted to say things he shouldn’t, things that were too soon to admit and he had to bite his tongue to stop himself. The only other way he could stop himself from sounding like a fool was with his mouth on you and the closest thing to him were your perky nipples.
Jungkook never slowed the steady pace he set fucking you but with the added pleasure to your chest, his tongue circling around your nipple and sucking lightly, had you seeing stars. You’d nearly forgotten where you were till you looked out the windows, seeing the clear sky and the pretty water making this all feel more surreal.
Jungkook hugged you close, hand gripping your thigh and inching it higher around himself as he fucked you rougher, taking pleasure in bringing you close again and this time around he couldn’t bother being as gentle. He wanted to, he swears, but he’s so turned on by you that he couldn’t be patient at all. You didn’t even seem to mind when his hips slammed into yours, turning you to lay on your side, fucking yourself on his cock with more vigor knowing he needed release too, and let him manhandle you however he wanted. His free hand snuck into your hair, pulling slightly when he dragged you into another kiss and groaned against your lips.
Neither of you had to say anything to know you were both close, and it made you impatient. You moaned at the roughness, letting yourself get lost in the feeling unripe you couldn’t take it anymore, once again cumming with little control of yourself. He held you so roughly to his body, not letting you go as you struggled to catch your breath and you knew it was taking everything in him to not let go inside you. That’s the only thing that had you pushing away from him, trying to sneak a hand down to touch him but the second you did, his cock spilled thick cum into your hand, creamy and white. You wanted a taste badly.
Jungkook moaned your name quietly, feeling pathetic to cum so easily by your hand but he couldn’t hold back anymore. It took him longer to bounce back than you, and when he opened his eyes he caught you pressing a finger to your tongue, taking a small taste that left him shuddering.
“Don’t do that,” his voice said, raspy and tired tone.
“You did it to me,” You said, licking your finger clean, “And you made a mess.”
“Sorry,” he couldn’t help but pout, looking surprisingly cute to you even with his hair a sweaty mess and the afterglow of sex on his naked body, “Kiss?”
A grin spreads over his face when you lean in to kiss him, happily kissing you back more gently now.
“Would I sound wimpy if I said I needed a nap?” It pained him to even ask but he was suddenly so tired and relaxed in your arms. It made him feel unmanly to even think to ask but he couldn’t help it, he could lay in bed all day with you if it was an option, “We can worry about breakfast later—perhaps when it’s consider lunch or an afternoon snack.”
You laughed softly, snuggling into him further, “Let me at least clean up a little and then we can sleep for as long as you want.”
Jungkook smiled happily, letting you leave to the bathroom as he hurriedly tugged the bedding off. He wasn’t too worried about the boat, knowing he properly set anchor and the water was calm today. If anything the light rocking of the boat could lull him to sleep if you were in his arms.
“Are you sick of me yet?” Jungkook asked, watching you drift in and out of sleep as he drove away from the shipping dock. It was the evening and the hours spent in the open sun was exhausting, even with how sweet it felt. At least he thinks you might feel that way.
If he were being honest, he could still be with you longer. There hadn’t been enough hours in the day for him, “Or do you think we could still get dinner?”
“We can, but I need a shower, I’m sticky and sweaty,” You said absentmindedly, catching the way he bit his lip with a smirk that had you smacking his arm, “Don’t be gross.”
“I didn’t say anything,” He laughed, grinning as he thought about the way you said his name when you were naked in his arms, “But, I want to take you to my family home. My parents are gone for the weekend and it’s closer than my apartment.”
“Are you hiding your apartment from me?” You asked jokingly.
“No, but I live with Jimin and I want to be selfish and have you to myself longer so your place is out of the question too,” Jungkook admitted.
“And what am I supposed to wear? I didn’t really pack clothes,” You looked down at his linen shirt you currently wore, only panties underneath thinking you’d be going home after the eventful day.
“Something mine, you look good in what’s mine,” Jungkook said with a wink, “I’ll make us something nice—maybe get something ordered…”
“Oh I guess.”
You didn’t question the drive away from the houses lining the beach in his pick up truck. You stared out the window and watched the view turn more scenic would hillsides and small rocky edges, more nature-esque.
Songs played quietly that Jungkook would sometimes hum along too with a perfect pitch that had looking over at him from time to time. When he would catch you looking, he’d stop immediately and tighten his hands over the steering wheel.
He was nervous.
His family home was empty and he could go to it whenever he pleased but did he really want to bring you along? Open up another side of himself just for a few more moments alone? Did you mean this much to him?
Swallowing his nerves, he turned down a private road with tall trees and white gravel. It stretched on for a mile before ending at private gates. You sat up, slightly more aware of what was going on when he lowered his window to type in some code, hearing someone speak through an intercom, ‘Welcome home, sir.’
He could feel your eyes on him and he just smiled, “Wash up first?”
“Please,” You said, looking away, staring straight ahead at the colonial house that appeared in view. It was obscenely large with endless windows and greenery surrounding it making it all the more intimidating.
This is his family home, yours couldn’t compare.
Still, you tried not to question it.
Jungkook didn’t bother driving back to the private garage, he pulled up to the circular driveway by the fountain of a water nymph and got out of his truck, opening the door for you. It should’ve dawned on him that something was going to happen. The lights were on when no one should be home.
Still, he’s already brought you this far.
“Jungkook?”
His hand stopped at the handle of your door, just barely pulling it open but with little room for you to step out. You stopped moving instantly, watching the way he visibly stiffened, face hardening as he looked off to the distance.
“You’re here, what a surprise.”
“Mom,” he turned around immediately, “I thought you guys weren’t home.”
“Well, if you would answer the phone, when I call, you would know your father’s trip was canceled,” a women in a tweed Chanel suit and a tight smile stepped down from the entrance, “You’ve brought company?”
As if being summoned, Jungkook looked at you, motioning for you to step out and although you didn’t want you, you did—undressed and exhausted. The woman was stunning and classy like you’d never seen, somewhat taken back that she was the mother of the beach boy you’ve met.
Not to mention, it was too early to meet anyone’s parents. It made you sick to your stomach even as you smiled politely, “Hello.”
“This is Y/n,” Jungkook reached for your hand, “We were just stopping by.”
“When you thought no one was home?” She asked, making you look at him. He was grown, clearly, but still scolded and questioned like a child.
Jungkook didn’t say anything but you could feel him squeeze your hand when her eyes traveled over your barely dressed figure. He at least had on a t-shirt that was in his truck and his shorts.
“Why don’t the two of you clean up, we’re having dinner on the terrace,” She said looking unimpressed, “I’ll have a maid find you something more appropriate.”
“Oh, we don’t want to bo—“
“We have guests so don’t make a scene, I already had to make an excuse for why you wouldn’t be here, you can’t leave now. Even if you do have sudden company.”
That shut Jungkook up quicker than you’d ever seen. It wasn’t that you couldn’t catch on to what was happening, but more so you could wrap your mind around the reality of it. You moved almost as robotically as he did, sneaking into the house unsure what was going on aside from doing as told. He took you into his bedroom, pulling you in the bathroom with him and washing up. His entire demeanor changed and you didn’t know what to do.
“Should I go? I could probably get Hoseok to get me,” You told him honestly. You weren’t upset — not yet. As far as you knew, Jungkook might have a complicated relationship with his parents meeting the person he’s sleeping with, especially considering how recent things are with you. Neither of you are ready to meet the family, it’s just fun summer things. You’d say the biggest shock was that Jungkook seemed to be wealthy and likes to keep that private but does that make you worried?
“No, I want you here with me,” Jungkook said, swallowing hard and opening the door to his room, finding something folded on the edge of his bed. He handed it to you without much thought as he got dressed.
It was nothing crazy, just a light colored sundress and you had to dry off quickly so you could join him downstairs. Part of you wanted to call your friends but what would it mean if you did?
“What a surprise, brother, and I see you’ve finally brought someone new along,” an arrogant voice spoke up from the large dinner table on the terrace. It was a candle lit dinner with six guests aside from the two of you and you immediately reconciled a familiar face.
“Hello, sorry for keeping everyone waiting,” Jungkook said stiffly, “This is Y/n.”
“We’ve met,” Yeaun said when the others looked at you confused. Their greetings were bland and uncaring but you tried not to think too hard on it, “On the beach, right?”
“Yes, I remember,” You tried to smile, looking at Jungkook just as confused as everyone.
“Yeaun is a family friend,” Jungkook explained to you.
“An ex-fiancée,” His mother said coldly, making him freeze.
Why was she saying this?
“Darling,” an older version of Jungkook with salt and pepper hair said to his wife in warning.
“We’re on good terms though,” Yeaun smiled tightly, “Things have been changing recently, haven’t they?”
She asked you like you would know—like you were the reason for it but you were too stuck on what she was to care.
Ex-what?
“So, are you still going with the firm?” A woman sitting next to his brother said to him. That made his brother laugh, “He’s still playing around Jin’s auto shop.”
“Is everyone already eating? What about us?” Jungkook looked at you suddenly, “Should we get served?”
The firm? What firm? What fiancée? What was going on?
“Y/n, what about you? Are you new in town? Who are your parents?” The dad asked, making all heads turn toward you, a member of who you assumed was house staff, began to serve you and Jungkook dinner.
“Dad,” Jungkook tried to say but he didn’t get very far.
“I’m just here for the summer, I’m from the city,” You told him with a smile.
“How’d you meet?” Jungkook’s mother asked.
“On the beach,” You told her plainly. She didn’t say anything in response but you could feel the way her eyes narrowed at you like she was trying to read you. You weren’t lying or anything but it felt like she didn’t believe you. Under the table, Jungkook’s hand touched your thigh but in all honesty you didn’t even want him to touch you. It’s not anything serious, you were just confused and uncomfortable in this situation. He should’ve just taken you home or let you call Hoseok.
“A city girl, huh? You must have a big job, right? What do you do?” His brother asked.
“I’m in between work right now,” You said honestly, just as you had told Jungkook who seemed to be open to that idea and understood why. Sometimes, doing the same routine in a career you didn’t have passion anymore left you drained and you needed a change of pace. You explained this to him and he made it all feel okay so why were you being looked at strangely?
“So wasting your time over here is what you want to be doing?” His mom asked.
Jungkook took a deep breath, wanting to speak up but unsure how to do so. He obviously hasn’t told you anything but his relationship with his family is complicated. The added guests made it all the worse. Has he always been such a coward?
“That’s what it seems like,” You said bitterly, looking over at Jungkook with a cold expression.
You don’t remember much of the rest of dinner, only that you hated every second of it and how you just wanted to go home. You checked out of all conversations after a while and watched the tension between them with little interest. What you’ve learned is that Jungkook is good at keeping things from others even when he begs to know more himself.
The irony, it was annoying. By the end of dinner, you didn’t care to know what any of them had to say, much less Yeaun who everyone continued to remind you was his ex that they all loved dearly. They were saying it for a reason, like if you wanted to take her place and be with Jungkook who belonged to a group of people who won’t let outsiders in.
“Well at least she’s pretty,” you remember being told.
“I’m sorry,” was the first thing Jungkook said after dinner but you didn’t bother to acknowledge him. Instead, you led the way to his truck so he could take you home.
The car ride was so eerily silent that it felt deafening. He tried and tried to talk to you but you just ignored him, not caring at all for whatever might come out of his mouth and he can’t really blame you.
“You lied to me,” You said finally, staring holes into his dashboard.
“I didn’t mean to,” Jungkook admitted, “Everything I’ve said to you is true.”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes and looking out the dark window, “Just take me home.”
“Y/n,” Jungkook reached across the middle console for your hand but you crossed your arms over your chest and shifted away from him even more, “I’m sorry, we should’ve just gone somewhere el—“
“Look, it was never going to work out anyway so just take me home and we can both go on with our lives because clearly we’re nothing alike at all,” You said bitterly, “I was just dumb enough to believe we are. It’s been a long day.”
He wanted to argue but for the first time since he’s met you, he’s left silent. He’s a coward, he’s aware of that now and it felt sickening to realize it finally. He’s always been the type to do what he’s told, follow the plan his parents have set out for him and this is the first time he’s realizing how much he hates it.
When the truck pulled up to the front of your house, he began to unbuckle his belt, quietly saying, “I’ll walk you to the d—“
The car door slammed shut in the middle of his words and although he knew it was better for him to give you space, he just couldn’t. He couldn’t let you walk off on him without trying to really hear him out—just let him get his thoughts together. As pathetic as it sounds, Jungkook feels like a kid again. He feels anxious to be ignored or scolded.
Without a care for gentleness, he swung his side door open to the large truck and got down to follow after you, “I’m sorry, okay? I didn’t realize they would be home and if I did I wouldn’t have invited you over. I just wanted to spend more time with you.”
“That’s not the problem, Jungkook,” you said back to him, “The problem is that you’re so secretive about everything and fine, whatever, you don’t have to tell me but don’t act like you want to know anything about me then if I can’t expect the same.”
You released a sigh at his silence, turning away, “Go home.”
Your front door slammed in his face shutting him out and he could see people staring through the window; probably overhearing everything and he wanted to disappear. When had things gotten so complicated for him?
He missed the days when he didn’t have anything to worry about but now that he’s starting to see the people around him more clearly, he’s realizing he doesn’t like it at all.
It took you days to think about Jungkook again, mostly because you wanted to ignore him and he was making it easy for you. He has only messaged and called a couple times before he got the hint that you don’t want to talk to him and gave up.
You can’t tell if you preferred that or wished he kept trying but you had to move on. The two of you weren’t dating, you hooked up on a boat before realizing his family are pretentious assholes and wanted nothing to do with him now.
You know he’s not his family but at the same time these are people he surrounds himself with and if he was attracted to someone like Yeaun, there was no way he was into you too. You barely know her but you know enough to see that you’re nothing alike.
“What are you looking at?” Hoseok asked, looming over your shoulder.
“Apartments, I still can’t find anything good, I think I need to go home for a few days and do some in-person tours,” You told him with a sigh, scrolling through listings, sitting alone in the beach themed living room that looked fresh out of a cape cod magazine.
“It’s not a quick commute,” He said, “Besides, I already said you can stay with me till we find you a place, there’s no rush.”
“I know, but there’s nothing better to do,” You said with a shrug.
“It’s called avoiding,” Hyeri said, sitting on the edge of the couch, “So Y/n’s probably not gonna come back if she leaves now. You’re mad at Jungkook.”
“No, I’m not,” you rolled your eyes, “That’s over and I haven’t done anything but laze around all day. I need to get my shit together.”
You just want to go home.
“What’s up with you? You’ve looked mad all day,” Jimin pointed out as he mindlessly dug his feet into the sand. He’s dragged Jungkook out after days of not seeing him but his friend couldn’t care less about the beach or hanging out with him. He actually didn't want to hang out with anyone.
“Is it the thing from the other night?” Jimin asked like it was so simple, “Yeaun was talking about it, so you’ve introduced your new girl to the family and it didn’t go so well?”
“Jimin.”
“Yeah?”
“Are you really my friend?” Jungkook asked, sitting at the bottom of one of the net posts, squinting up at the sun.
“Are you kidding? I’ve been around since you were in diapers, you’re like a brother to me,” Jimin said with a laugh, “I just don’t agree with some of the decisions you make.”
“Like?” He pressed for more.
“I don’t know, I just think you have a lot going for you and lately you’ve been acting like you don’t,” Jimin said, shrugging, “You passed the Bar Exam a while ago and instead of going to your dad’s firm you’re wasting time at Jin’s. You don’t answer the phone when your family calls and you ignore your friends for…”
“Say it.”
“For some chick you don’t know,” Jimin scoffed, “I don’t get it. It’s always been you and I, Chaehi and Yeaun. Always. Since we were kids and suddenly you break it off with one of the only girls who’s been here for you and find someone new to entertain yourself with. It’s weird.”
“Asshole,” Jungkook rolled his eyes, kicking off the ground and leaving his friend behind. He wasn’t sure where he was going but he just wanted to be alone.
Were you really just some girl? Is that what everyone thought? Yes, things had been incredibly easy with you but did that mean you weren’t anything more than a fling? As dramatic as it sounds, every interaction with you has been probably the best he’s ever had.
You’re funny, pretty, smart, and so much more than he ever imagined. You pulled him in and pushed him away in the best way possible. Of course it’s been strange getting rejected but you do it in a way that tells him to keep going. You were always there to listen to his obnoxious flirting and when he did decide to tell you anything about himself, you didn’t judge.
He’s so stupid for not doing the same. He wanted you to open up to him because he wanted to get closer to you but he didn’t allow himself to do it too. It was unfair so he understands why you’re mad but he can’t stand it.
He wants to call you but would you want to listen?
Jungkook found himself walking toward the boardwalk hoping the bustling energy from midday was enough to distract him. He thinks you remind him of something different, being somewhere different where he didn’t have to worry so much about what he did or who he was with. Jimin’s right that lately Jungkook hasn’t been doing anything to be apart of his family’s plans for him. He’s kind of been trying to live in the moment and clearly that wasn’t so bad. That’s how he met you and besides, it’s not like he hasn’t been thinking about his future. He just doesn’t see it here in this small town where everyone knows his name. He sees himself somewhere far in the city where he could just blend in with everyone else and do what he wants to do, be with who he wants to. It’s you, it’s seriously you.
You’ve opened up his eyes a little and he hates that his lack of honesty has pushed you away. He can’t even blame it on the uncomfortable dinner because if he wasn’t such a coward, he would’ve done more. He can’t deny that there’s something up with him and he has no doubt in his mind that you have something to do with it. Barely knowing you has done so much more for him than the people he’s known all his life.
Your best friends wanted you to forget about your plans on leaving, knowing you too well to believe you would come back. You’re not the type to do so. If you set your mind on leaving, even for a short time, you wouldn’t come back especially knowing you could run into Jungkook whenever. Maybe you were a coward too because all you ever wanted to do was run away when things get complicated and the last thing you had wanted was for this trip to get that way too.
They dragged you out of the house for a late lunch that you weren’t even hungry for and as a way to distract you but it did the complete opposite of that. Instead, you were brought to that restaurant you came to with Jungkook and the same server who you’ve seen now talk with a girl Yeaun was always around. They were friends and it should’ve been the first sign that you would never get him. You were never part of the plan around here, you were a step back to everyone involved with him and it made you bitter.
How’d you catch the attention of someone so unavailable?
“Come on, I haven’t bought a single thing here, I’ve been too busy working on my tan,” Hyeri said, pulling you along behind her to a clothing stand of sundresses, “We’ve got a few more weeks here, I think it’s time I fit the vibe, right?”
“Yeah,” You told her, looking through the rack of dresses absentmindedly. You wandered away just a little, to a table filled with jewelry and ran your fingers over certain metals and gems. You weren’t thinking much on what was going on around you, too distracted choosing between gold and silver to notice the person standing yards away looking stunned.
For the first time in over a week, Jungkook has found you again, on the beach, looking as breathtaking as usual. After all you’ve been avoiding him, he can’t help but hesitate. Does he approach you or not?
“Y/n?”
You looked up, brows furrowed slightly at who stood in front of you, “Yeaun.”
“Hey! How good to see you,” She smiled her usual tight smile that never quite reached her eyes. Up close you could see just how perfect she must seem to everyone from her height to her figure and tone of voice. She usually wore gold accessories and bikini tops or dresses. She was your perfect ‘Girl Next Door’ but if you paid enough attention to some of the things she said, you’d see how backhanded it all seemed.
“It was such a surprise to see you the other night. I guess none of us knew you were with Jungkook,” Yeaun said it so casually even if you could tell she was prying, “Where is he by the way?”
“Why don’t you ask his mother? The two of you seem close,” You tried not to sound bitter but you’re sure your body language gave away that you were. You searched for Hyeri who was looking at dresses on herself in the mirror and Hoseok left to get snow cones so once again, you were alone in her presence.
“Yeah, sorry about that, our parents go way back,” Yeaun said with a wave of her hand, “It’s a small town, y’know. Everyone knew we were high school sweethearts and when we got engaged everyone was so excited. You can imagine their surprise when we broke it off—sorry, you probably don’t want to hear about this again. I’m sure Jungkook has said enough.”
“It might sound strange but he doesn’t bring you up at all,” You told her, failing to say how you haven’t talked to him, “I guess he got over it a long time before anyone else did.”
“I guess so,” her stupid smile once again, “I like you, you’re good for him and I’m sorry if his family seemed closed off. They’re kind of exclusive with who they bring around. They don’t want just anyone around their sons. I’m sure you can see why, Jungkook is perfect, right? A lawyer in the making, athletic, kind…”
“Silver or gold?” You asked, holding up two different sets of earrings. She blinked in surprise, choosing one and trying to carry on, “What I mean is, he’s the whole package so everyone wants him but he also has a lot of responsibilities. If someone isn’t able to stand behind them all and support him… maybe they’re not the right fit—especially if they won’t stick around.”
You didn’t say anything for a moment, setting the earrings back down and smiling, amused by her audacity, “Who broke it off with who?”
“It was mutual.”
“Doesn’t sound like it was,” You said with a smile, beginning to walk away from her, “But don’t worry, I don’t usually like competing for someone’s attention. I guess I didn’t realize you did, so good luck.”
“Meaning?” Her eyes narrowed.
“Meaning, you’re wasting your breath talking to me because I don’t care what you have to say,” You said sweetly, “But it was so nice seeing you again, hopefully next time we’ll have something new to talk about.”
With that, you left her behind, nearly walking past Hyeri on the way, “Where you going?”
“My phone’s dying, I’m going the house,” you told her quickly, continuing to leave before anyone else could run into you.
“What’d you say to Y/n?” Jungkook asked, pushing his way through the crowds of people, getting to the stand too late and watching you walk away.
“Nothing,” Yeaun raised her hands in feigned surrender, “I was just catching up. Why so worried?”
“Where’s she going?” Jungkook asked Hyeri, ignoring Yeaun who called for him.
“To the house?” Hyeri said, confused by whatever she missed but she couldn’t even ask when Jungkook practically ran after you.
You cut through the beach instead of taking the long route down the street. You walked farther and farther away from him but he never stopped.
“Y/n! Can we talk?” He asks, catching you by surprise but you didn’t even act like it. You merely threw him a glance before walking faster.
“I’m kind of in a hurry,” You lied, stepping over the grassy parts in the white sand where you could see more residential properties.
“Look, I’m sorry. I really am, I should’ve been more up front from the beginning but I swear I didn’t keep things from you to hurt you,” Jungkook said, not stopping his pace even when he can see your house in the distance.
“It’s fine, I’m over it,” You told him, not turning back again as you looked up at the back deck of your house. You still walked closer to down the shore than the trail but you would get there soon.
“But I’m not, I… can’t stand the thought of you being done with me,” Jungkook said honestly, “Since I’ve met you all I can do is think about you and I’m kicking myself over letting you find things out in a hard way. I don’t like the way you were talked to and I should’ve said more but I didn’t and I regret it so much.”
“Jungkook, I don’t care,” you groaned, whipping around to face him, “I don’t care that you kept things from me. I don’t care that there’s something seriously wrong with your family or your ex fiancée. I don’t care if everyone thinks I’m not good enough for you and do you want to know why? Because it’s the summer and I’m not from here and it was fun to fool around in the moment but it’s too complicated now. I don't want anything to do with it. Are you getting it now? I want to go home and forget all about this.”
“You want to leave?” He asked, getting closer and closer, “And what happens then? We just never see each other again because I didn’t mean anything to you?”
“I guess if that’s how you’re seeing it—“
“Bullshit,” He scoffed, “I don’t care how long we’ve known each other or not, you want me just as much as I want you but you’re letting everything else get in the way. I’m sorry, I don’t know what else I can say or do to express that.”
“I’m leaving,” You argued, stepping away, “I’m going back to my normal life and you can go back to yours. Stop making this a bigger deal than it was.”
“What if I don’t want to? What if I think you’re the best thing to happen to me in a while and the thought of you just leaving doesn’t sit right with me? What if I say I don’t want this to just be a summer thing and I will follow you wherever you go if it means I get to talk to you more?” Jungkook kept going.
“Oh my god, Jungkook. Open your eyes! Join the real world, please!” You groaned, too frustrated to bother getting away, “We still don’t know much about each other, clearly. You live in this perfect little bubble with people who care about you and have plans for you. Why can’t you see that? Why are you wanting to throw that away for someone you barely know?”
“I’m not mad, I promise,” You tried to say, “Our lives are just too different and I’m ready to go back to mine—“
Your words were cut off by the rough pull into his arms. Jungkook’s touch was tender yet forceful, dragging your face toward his until your lips clashed messily and you kissed him back. Like a fool, you kissed him too despite everything you were saying.
It made your heart race, practically feeling his want for you and unable to help yourself from succumbing to it.
He can’t remember how long the kiss was, but long enough for his chest to grow heavy with a need to breathe that he had to pull away. His forehead rested against yours, “If you still want to leave… okay. I can’t make you stay but I really want you to, Y/n.”
You didn’t say anything, knowing you did want to leave. At this point it was more for yourself. No matter how harsh they were, they were right. You needed to get your act together and stop avoiding the problems in your life and that meant you needed to go home.
“And I promise that I’m going to see you again whether it be here or somewhere else,” Jungkook said.
FOUR WEEKS LATER
Jungkook was enamored by city life, he’s grown to learn about himself. Something about the tall skyscrapers and bustling traffic excited him like no other while other people hated them. Of course he missed the beach, surfing, volleyball, his friends… but this was for himself. He needed to do something on his own even if it meant doing something unimaginable but it was for the better.
He misses working with cars but he knows better. He put all that work into law school just so he could avoid it and do something else and he needed that to stop. Even if he didn’t work in his father’s firm, that didn’t mean he couldn’t get his foot in the door somewhere else.
After you left and all his distractions were gone, he was able to focus more on what he wanted to do. He got on his laptop to look at internships at other law firms and one day, in his endless searching, he found a small office to work in. It was in the city and it didn’t take him long to pack up his things and go to it. It started problems—of course— but it didn’t stop him, especially knowing you were somewhere here too.
You’ve barely talked since you moved back but he still misses you. He missed you and him on the beach or sailing in the sea. He misses making you laugh or roll your eyes and he wonders how you’re doing. He kept in touch with Hoseok and Hyeri after you left and when they followed suit at the end of vacation, he wanted to ask them about you but he knew better. He knows you weren’t just a fling but maybe one day you’ll come back and give it another shot.
“Iced Americano?”
“I didn’t order one,” Jungkook said as he sat alone at a table in a nice cafe. He didn’t look up until the cup was set down in front of him and when he was ready to tell the barista it wasn’t for him, he froze.
“I know, you don’t really give me ‘Coffee Drinker’ vibes but I figured it was worth a shot,” You sat down across from him.
“Are you stalking me?” He asked, dumbfounded and confused but more excited than anything. He couldn’t believe you were here, at the same place as him by chance.
“Well, I was going to ask the same, this is my usual stop before work and I’ve never seen you here before,” You said, continuing the conversation with him like it never ended.
Jungkook couldn’t help but smile, “Well, you see, I’m new to town and trying new places since this is on my way to work.”
“Is it?” You asked, “You must live around here.”
“As it turns out I do,” Jungkook cleared his throat, “It’s a recent move but one I don’t regret.”
“How are you?” You asked with a shy smile and flushed cheeks, the autumn air beginning to take over.
“Better now—after this coffee I mean,” he teased, taking a sip and scrunching his face in disgust.
You bit your lip in thought, “Actually um, it’s good I’ve run into you. I think there’s some things we should talk about but I have to get to work soon.”
“Well I still have your number, and we can always catch up over dinner?”
“Yeah, I’d like that,” You smiled nervously, standing up, “Tonight?”
That made his heart race, “It’s a date.”

every time i look at you || joe burrow x reader

description: who knew that an unexpected relationship with a guy you never thought you’d be with would be the happiest, healthiest, and most special relationship in your life? you feel like you’re in high school ;)
a/n: in honor of mr quarterback throwing for the first time since November (publicly). so excited to see him ball ;) this may or may not have been inspired by a song i recently fell in love with.. (cough so high school cough)
alot of flashbacks/reflections to certain moments in this fic because of how the song goes!
word count: 7 k
warnings: smut, language
-------------------------------------------------------
You took a deep breath, taking in the salty aroma of your favorite beach as your feet were covered in sand. You and Joe had rented a beach house on your Hometown beach for a few weeks and had invited all your cousins over for a few days, so you were soaking up the last few moments in the sand before you had to get everything ready.
“Y/N, they said that they’re about 30 minutes out!” Joe yelled from the patio. “Come inside so we can get everything set up,”.
“Okay,” you yelled back, looking over at him. His hair was in its ‘post ocean water’ state, slightly messy but perfect at the same time. You both had taken a little dip in the ocean earlier together and he decided to let his hair be, which you approved of since you loved his beach hair. The golden sun was shining right onto him and he was practically glowing.
You got up off the sand and made your way inside the house, making sure to wipe your feet on the mat outside since you had just cleaned. Joe had his back to you as you walked into the kitchen. He had ordered some food, making sure to ask your cousins what they liked and only getting that, and was getting all of it ready for everyone.
“I’m just gonna put out the snack-type food for now so the rest doesn’t get cold,” he says.
“Okayy,” you sing song, admiring your boyfriend for a few moments and taking in all the little details. For starters, the atmosphere. Joe had gotten all the right foods, alcohol, and games for your little beach reunion. You and your older cousins used to go down to the beach for a few weeks every summer, but after everyone got too old and had adult responsibilities, it became very hard to schedule. So, when you told Joe about how you’d spend your previous summers, he was adamant about having your cousins over for a few days during your own beach trip, and that meant the world to you. He had taken the reigns and planned everything out based off of the things you told him, and he did great.
Secondly, Joe himself. Other than the fact that he looked like a Greek God right now, he was being the most perfect boyfriend and lover to you, and making you feel so giddy inside. You had been here for a week already and you felt like you were being transported back to high school. You would go on a beach trip every summer, but usually to Florida or Malibu, but this year Joe wanted to experience the summers you would non-stop talk about. So that’s exactly what you did. You took him to all your favorite spots such as the pier, the arcade, the cute shops, and the restaurants, and made sure he had some of the best boardwalk fries you have ever had. The entire week felt like you were back in high school, doing the same things with your friends, but this time with the most special person in the world and he was enjoying the hell out of it. He felt like he was 17 again and running off to the beach with his friends from sunrise to sunset (even if it was quite a few hours away), just like you would do.
You didn’t realize how long you were staring at him until he playfully threw a chip at your face, causing you to flinch.
“Did I lose you there?” he laughs while leaning against the oven.
“Yeah,” you smile. “Sorry, were you saying something?”.
“Oh, I just said we should hit the pier later tonight if we can. I remember you saying that you guys loved going down there at night since the rides would be the most fun in the dark,” he says.
“Oh it is a must,” you emphasize.
“Mhm. Also, quick question,”.
“Shoot,” you say back, eating the chip he threw at you.
“Why were you staring at me like that just now? Did you need to say something?” he says before launching off the oven and over to you.
“Oh, nooo reason,” you giggle as he wraps his arms around your waist, and your arms around his neck.
“Sureee,” he says while rolling his eyes.
“It was nothing important, I swear,” you say while pressing a kiss onto his nose.
“If you say so,” he says, repeating the action and kissing your nose. “You look gorgeous by the way,”.
You blushed at his words. You were wearing a pair of jean shorts and a lilac tank top, nothing crazy, but just enough for your boyfriend.
“Thank you, Joey,” you say as he pulls you in for a kiss. His hand slides up your waist and around to your back as he pushes you deeper into him. Your hands navigate to his hair as you begin to get lost in his embrace.
“Mm, Joe,” you whimper as you try to pull away, but his lips follow you, pulling you back into the heated kiss, and holding you tighter. He begins to suck on your bottom lip as his hands wander to your ass; you smile into the kiss as you knew exactly what this would lead to.
He pushes you against the counter and cups your ass to help you up onto the surface. You open up your legs to let him in between and hook them around his waist. Your tongues are tangled in your mouth and his hand moves down to unbutton your shorts.
“Joe, they’re gonna be here soon,” you say as you get him to break away by cradling his face. “We still have a lot to do,”.
“We can be quick,” he whispers against your lips.
“Mm, I doubt that. The fastest we’ve done it was probably 30 minutes,” you chuckle.
He stares into your eyes briefly before sighing, “Fine, but we are finishing this later. I don’t care if your family is under the roof, we’ll go outside if we have to,”.
“Deal,” you giggle, giving him a deep kiss to show your appreciation.
A few hours later, your cousins–Sydney, James, Bella, and Micheal–get settled into the house, and you all are gathered on the patio drinking and eating. Non-stop laughter echoes through the air as you all catch up and tell funny stories. You take another sip of your drink as you find yourself staring at your boyfriend once again. He was sitting next to you on the loveseat, your free-hands fingers entwined, as he was telling everyone a funny story about the first time he saw you. It was a pretty embarrassing but cute story, one that always showed off Joe’s adorable little crinkles around his eyes whenever he would tell it.
Flashback to LSU
You were in the library, cramming to finish your research paper on Metaphysics for your Philosophy class, and had completely lost track of time and forgot that you had to be at your best friend’s apartment to help her get ready for her date. Stacks of books were dispersed around your workspace and a big warm cup of coffee was the only thing keeping you sane. You glanced over to the clock and noticed that it was 2:30 and you were supposed to be at her apartment 10 minutes ago.
“Fuck,” you whispered, a feeling of panic washing over you.
You hurried to close your laptop and gathered your books to put them in your bag. You grabbed your cup of coffee and rushed to the stairs to head downstairs, but just your luck, you ran into a book cart on the way and spilled your coffee all over the extremely expensive college textbooks on it.
“Shit,” you said as you saw the librarian walk over to you, a scowl on her face.
“What on earth happened here,” the librarian said. The tone in her voice sends chills down your spine.
“I- I am so sorry,” you said while trying to salvage the textbooks, which was no use since the majority of them had coffee seeping through the pages.
“You college kids and your coffee. Do you realize how expensive these textbooks are?,” she lectured.
“I didn’t mean to spill my coffee on the books, I swear. I was in a rush because I have somewhere to be and completely missed the bookcart,” you explained.
“That’s what they all say,” she said as she cleaned up the spilled coffee. “There are at least 4 fully damaged books. You’re going to have to pay for these,”.
Your eyes widen, “That’s like 450 dollars!”.
“Should have thought about that before bringing coffee in here,” she said while pointing over to the big ‘no food or drinks allowed’ sign.
“Shit,” you mumbled.
“Come with me, we can get you billed for them at the front desk,” she said, motioning you to follow her.
How the fuck were you supposed to pay for these textbooks? Your paycheck from your job at the School Store doesn’t even hit until next week and it definitely was not enough to cover textbook fees since you had 50 other things to do with that money. You accepted your fate and were about to walk with the librarian until you felt a warm and muscular arm around your waist.
“That won’t be necessary Ms. Cindy,” he said. “You see, this is my girlfriend and she was on her way to meet me at the FroYo place down the street for our date,” he added.
“Punctuality was never her strong suit,” he whispered, causing the librarian to chuckle. “Anyways, that’s why she spilled her coffee on these books. It’s pretty much all my fault so if you’re going to charge someone, charge me,”.
You were too nervous to look up because that voice sounded all too familiar, a voice you had heard on screens across campus many times, and you refused to accept reality. There was no way this was actually happening.
“Oh! That won’t be necessary Joe,”.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
“I didn’t know you had a girlfriend,” she smiled.
“Me either,” you whispered.
“What was that?” Joe said while gently squeezing your waist, making you look up at him.
“I- Um,” you stumbled while anxiously searching his eyes for an answer. Something about his eyes calmed you down and you went along with the act. “Yup, he’s my boyfriend,” you said while smiling at the librarian.
“Ahh, Joey finally got a girl,” she teased.
He laughed at her words and you laughed along. Why was he helping you? You don’t even know each other.
“I’ll come back later about the books, we’re a little late for our date. Right, Babe?” he said while giving you a wink.
“Yup! That FroYo is calling my name. Sorry about the books Ms. Cindy,” you say while giving her a sincere smile.
“Oh, no worries Dear! You both go on ahead and enjoy your date,” she says.
Joe gives her a nod and tells her goodbye as he leads you down the stairs and out of the library, still gripping your waist. He finally lets go and moves to face you.
“Thank You,” you quickly say, praying that he wouldn’t make fun of you.
“Anytime…I didn’t catch your name?” he says while putting his hands in the pockets of his purple LSU football shorts.
“Y/N,” you say.
“Anytime, Y/N,” he smiles. “You looked like you needed some saving and I am one of Ms. Cindy’s favorites so,” he says with a shrug.
“Yeah, I was wondering what that was about. She was quick to forget those 450 dollars,” you giggle.
“Me and Ms. Cindy go waaay back. She really helped me out when I transferred here from Ohio State and had literally no idea what the hell I was doing on Campus. She’s basically my Mom down here. I’m pretty much her favorite college student ever,” he laughed.
“Mmmm, that makes sense. Your charm is pretty hard to beat,” you blush.
“Thanks,” he replied while bouncing on his feet. Was he nervous? That was something you’d do whenever you’d get nervous.
“But seriously, thank you for saving my ass back there. How can I repay you?”.
“Hmm, how about that FroYo date girlfriend?” he smirks.
Your stomach fluttered at his question. There was no way in hell the quarterback of the LSU Tigers, the QB1, was asking you to get FroYo with him. You? Some random girl he helped at the library that he’d literally never seen before?
“Oh, um. Are you sure? I mean you probably have somewhere to be and-,”.
“Actually, I just got done film study. And I know that you are free too because you’re def late to wherever you were in a rush to go to,” he interrupts.
You stay silent and look at him for a few seconds. “And, I would love to know how we got to where we are right now,” he adds.
You think about his offer for a few seconds, contemplating if you should take the risk of doing whatever this was with him, but eventually, you say yes. “Okay, let’s get FroYo boyfriend,”.
An hour later
“So you really think aliens are real,” you laugh.
“1000%,” Joe says as he takes another bite of his frozen yogurt. “There is literally no way that we’re the only things in the universe. I refuse to believe it. They’re too advanced to accidentally expose themselves so we probably won’t see them for a while,”.
“Fair point,” you laugh. Joe had been going on about space and aliens for about 10 minutes, and he was absolutely set on convincing you that they existed. You felt high on his interesting thoughts and felt drunk on the feeling that was overcoming you, and it was all because of him. Where were the cameras because you felt like you were living in a teenage rom-com and just had a meet-cute. “Maybe you’re an alien? I mean, I can’t think of any other dude on Campus that would randomly help a random girl at the library like you did,”.
He smiles at you and says, “Maybe I am? I guess we’ll never know,” he shrugs. “What was all that about anyway?”.
“I was caught up writing my essay about Metaphysics and completely forgot that I had to help my friend get ready for her date,”.
“Ah, I see. Did she get ready for her date fine? Ya know, since I stole you away for an impromptu date?”.
“I didn’t know this was actually a date,” you teased.
“It can be if we want it to be,” he says while giving you a wink. “I know I want it to be,”.
You felt like screaming at that moment. He really was being serious about this being a date. You were pretty unlucky in the college dating pool, most guys you met only want to hook up or be FWB, but Joe wasn’t giving either of those vibes, which was shocking considering he’s a football player. He felt different from the other guys, and you loved the way he was making you feel; so silly, shy, and like you were 16 again and were living out the dream of having a football player boyfriend in high school. But him being a football player was the least interesting thing about him. His nerdiness, charm, and normalness shined through which separated him from most guys. This made the risk of starting something with him less scary.
“I do too,” you say while taking another bite of your custard.
He was silently praying you would. Even though you just met, he thought you were the most stunning, genuine, and honest girl he had ever come across. This entire date had felt so relaxed and comfortable, something that was uncommon for him when he would go on a date with a girl. Most of them seemingly just wanted bragging rights as the “quarterback’s girl” or to hook up, and he wanted a real girlfriend, and you gave him that vibe.
“Anyways, she was just fine. I told her why I was skipping out on her and she was more than happy to get ready alone considering why I bailed,”.
He lets out a soft laugh before asking you about your essay. “So your essay, Metaphysics, that’s…?” he says while trying to recall where he heard that from.
“Aristotle,” you answer.
“Right, Philosophy class,” he nods.
“Mhm. I love anything and everything psychology, sociology, and philosophy related,”.
“Nerdy, good to know,” he teases. “I think our second date should be at the art and science museum. I heard they have a pretty sick space exhibit right now and an impressive psych one,”.
Second date? He wanted to spend more time with you. Did he actually like you or was he just being nice?
“Second date?” you questioned.
“Uhh, Duh,” he said while putting his cup down and resting his arms on the table. “You’re super cool, funny, nerdy, and gorgeous. Why would I not want to do this again?”.
You blush at his words and your stomach has butterflies in it as he talks. You shake your head and say, “You’re not gonna let me go until I say yes, will you?”.
“Damn straight,” he says while raising his brows.
You let out a dramatic sigh, “Well, I suppose I’m free Friday night,”.
His face falls at your response. “Got a game that night. Quarterback duties,” he sighs.
You stay silent for a few seconds before he asks another question. “You could come to the game? I can snag you a ticket and one for your friend if you guys wanna sit front row in the stands on our side?”.
Your heart was beating so fast you thought it would pop out of your chest. He wanted you to come to his game and he was being serious. He was serious about all of it; a second date, spending more time with you, and even going to his game. Although you’ve been at LSU for longer than him, you have never attended a football game before. But maybe that should change.
“Sounds perfect. I would love to see you in action up close Mr. Quarterback. Gotta really make sure you know how to ball and that it’s not all talk,” you flirt.
“Oh, it’s not just talk,” he flirts back. “But that sounds good. We can do the museum on Saturday,”.
“Can’t wait,” you say.
Friday Night – Tiger Stadium
“Holy Shit, that was a dime!” You screamed while jumping up and down, and bringing your friend Sophia along with you.
“He is too damn good,” she smiled.
Joe had just thrown his 4th Touchdown pass of the game, and the entire stadium was electric. You felt adrenaline rushing through your veins as you watched Joe tear it up on the field. He knew how to ball, and he knew how to do it well. You had been screaming and cheering the entire time that you were about to lose your voice.
“I seriously cannot believe you two are dating,” Sophia said while squeezing your arm.
“Woah, It was 1 date and we’re not even officially official. We’ll see how it goes,” you blushed.
“Mhmmm. Did you pick a wedding date yet? Ya know, I would like to save the date ahead of time,”.
“Ha ha,” you said while rolling your eyes at her.
“Or did you guys already talk about baby names? You would make the cutest babies on the planet,” she teased.
You couldn’t help but smile at her antics and were caught up in teasing each other so you didn’t even realize that Joe was walking over to the barricade where you were seated in front of. The game had ended and he managed to figure out where you were sitting and wanted to talk to you.
“He’s walking over,” she notices.
You whip your head back around to the field and catch him jogging over to you, helmet in hand and a big smile on his gorgeous face.
“I’m gonna go pee, let me know what’s up Mrs. Quarterback,” she winks, quickly exiting the row you were sitting in and leaving you alone.
You shake your head and look back over and Joe is standing right in front of you on the ground below. “Did you have fun?” he panted.
You leaned down to get closer to him, “Are you fucking kidding me. That was so much fucking fun. I don't think I've ever had this much fun at a sporting event, you killed it,” you smiled.
“Thank you, and I’m glad,” he said. “You look really pretty, by the way, the LSU purple and ‘9’ looks amazing on you,”.
“I’m glad you like it, I could get used to this. Purple might just be my new favorite color,” you tease.
“I mean, you look absolutely gorgeous in purple,” he nods. “I’ll be wrapped up here in like 30 minutes. If you’re free, we can go get something to eat after,”.
“I’d love to,” you said while reaching down and pressing a kiss on his cheek, causing him to blush.
A half-hour later, you meet Joe outside the stadium and he has an Uber ready for you both. You texted Sophia to let her know that you and Joe were hanging out so you’d see her tomorrow before your date with him.
You walk over to him and the car as he opens your door for you, making sure you get inside first.
“Thank You,” you say at the sweet gesture as you climb into the backseat.
He climbs in next to you, shutting the door and immediately pushing a button to close off the little window in the car that separates the driver from you both since it was a fancier Uber than you were used to.
You’re a little confused as to why he did that but before you could ask him, he pulls you closer by your waist, your legs tangled, and he presses his lips against yours. You stay absolutely still for a few seconds before moving your hand to the back of his head, pushing him closer to you. He begins to suck on your lips as you press yourself closer to him. His tongue pushes against your lips, begging for entrance. You open up your mouth and his tongue begins to explore yours and you do the same with him. His grip around you tightens as you feel butterflies flutter in your belly, the kiss turning hotter and messier by the second. Pure electricity between you both.
“Joe,” you whimper as he begins to kiss down to your neck.
Eventually, he pulls away, leaving both of you a little breathless.
“I’ve been waiting to do that all week,” he confesses, his lips a little swollen from the kiss.
“Well, I’m glad you decided to do it,” you whisper, pulling him back to you as you kiss him again, both of you grinning into the fiery kiss.
End of flashback
“Oh my god, that was the most embarrassing moment of my life,” you cackled.
“But, it was also the best. Without that, we wouldn’t be here,” Joe says as he brings your hand to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to it.
“I mean, who knew that we would end up here? I seriously thought you were going to ditch me after you got drafted to the Bengals,” you joked, only partially though.
“Ditch you for what? I have everything I’ve ever wanted and need right here,” he says as he squeezes your leg.
Flashback to Draft Night- Athens, Ohio
It was currently Draft Night, also the night that Joe’s life, and yours, would change forever. He already knew he was going to be the first overall pick, also knowing he was ending up in Cincinnati. Joe had told you before you both graduated that wherever he ended up, he wanted you to go with him. You thought he was just messing around, but he was being so incredibly serious and you were feeling it for real now.
Flashback to Graduation
After the graduation ceremony, Joe had decided to take you back to the FroYo place where you both had you first unofficial official date. He had been meaning to talk to you about your future plans for a few weeks, but never found the right time to bring up such an important subject. He thought it would be best to talk to you about it today, and where better to do it than where it all started.
You had gotten your FroYo and sat down at the same table you usually sat at and started digging in.
“I want to talk to you about something,” Joe said, his voice a little shaky and nervous.
You notice his demenour, put your cup down, and reached over to grab his hand, stroking his skin for comfort. “What’s up?” You ask.
“We just graduated,” he says.
“That we did,” you smile.
“And I declared for the draft,” he adds. Your smile drops a bit at his next sentance.
“That you did,” you said back.
He didn’t really know how to approach the subject, so he just decided to let it out. “Come with me,” he said.
“Come with you where?” You giggled.
“Wherever I end up. Whichever team and city drafts me. Go with me,” he says.
Your stomach does a backflip as you listen to him talk. He wanted you to go with him? You didn’t really know what was going to happen to your relationship after you graduated. You knew he was going to declare for the draft, and knew he was going to get drafted; but what you didn’t know was what was going to happen with you. A thought in the back of your mind was that he would breakup with you, and that thought scared the shit out of you. The thought of that happening was killing you, but he clearly had other plans.
“Really?” You ask.
“Really.” He says, squeezing your hand. “I need you with me. I love you so much and the thought of us being so far away from each other is bullshit. I can’t do this without you, Y/N,”.
You stay silent for a few seconds to collect your thoughts. If you went with him, you’d be living together. You’d have to find a Job in whichever city you’d end up in. It didn’t sound so bad. Actually, it sounded like a dream. You’d get to stay with the love of your life and get to embark on this journey together.
“Okay,” you smile after thinking about his offer for a few moments.
“Seriously?” He asks.
“I’ve never been more serious about anything in my life.” You say while staring into his ocean blue eyes which are filled with promise and love.
Flashforward back to Draft Night
“Are you excited?” You ask Joe as you sit next to him on the couch. The draft was virtual for the most part this year due to COVID-19, so you were enjoying draft night from the comfort of his parent's house.
“Excited, nervous, and a bit scared,” he laughs.
“Sounds about right. Your life is about to change,” you say as you press a kiss onto his cheek.
“Our life,” he says.
Butterflies flutter in your belly, “Right, our life,” you say as you get a warm feeling in your stomach.
“Did you hear back from the job you applied to in Cincy?” He asked.
“Not yet. Should be hearing back tomorrow. Buttt, I talked to one of my connections there and they said to be expecting a positive answer,” you beam.
“That’s amazing, Y/N. I'm so proud of you,” he says as he pulls you in for a hug.
You let out a laugh as he pulls you in tighter, “I can’t wait,”.
“Me either. It’s starting to feel real,” he says.
“Oh, it will feel realer when we go house hunting in Cincy on Sunday,” you say as you pull away from the hug.
Joe lets out a sigh, “Mm I can’t wait for the fun experience that’ll be,”.
“It won’t be super fun, but at least we’re doing it together,” you say, gazing lovingly into his eyes.
“And I’m very glad we are,” he says, pressing a kiss to your soft lips.
End of flashback
“Aww, you guys are so cute,” Sydney says.
"Agreed. I’ve never seen Y/N happier and more free like she is with you, Joe,” James adds as he takes a sip of his drink.
Joe looks over at you with a big smile, “Well, I’m lucky to have her,”.
You look over at him with so much love and comfort. No one has truly ever had you like he has. He brings out the best in you, and he has since day 1. Everyone can see it, and everyone can feel it too.
A little later, you all go back inside and go your own ways for a little bit for some guy and girl time. The boys are sitting on the couch and getting the Xbox set up to play Grand Theft Auto, while You, Sydney, and Bella are sitting at the Kitchen Island drinking some wine and having girl talk.
You look back over to Joe, who seems to be incredibly excited to play GTA with your cousins.
“So high school,” you giggle as you remember a similar instance from a few years ago.
Flashback to a few years ago
You had just gotten back from lunch with your friends and were making your way into your and Joe’s house. You walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water and saw Joe sitting on the couch, seemingly playing video games with his high school friends, something he would usually do on weekends.
You walk over to him and he sees you, so he puts his headset down and mutes himself. “Hey Babe, how was lunch?”.
“It was good, just the usual,” you say as you sit next to him on the couch.
He looks back over to you, taking in everything about you. You looked absolutely sexy in your white top and flowy pink short skirt; your hair was in two cute braids. “You look beautiful,” he says as he goes back to his game.
“Thank youuu,” you say as you fall back against the couch cushion, your skirt riding up your legs. You move your hand to his lower back and slip it under his shirt, rubbing the soft golden skin. A smirk graces his face as he leans back against the cushions like you are. His hand moved to your thigh, slowly creeping up to your core.
“Joe,” you whisper.
“It’s alright, they can’t hear you. And I owe you for this morning,” he says as he puts his headset back on and unmutes himself. He was referring to the early morning head you gave him before you left for your lunch. He wanted a little more, but that was all you had time for.
His fingers move under your skirt and hover over your already damp-panties. He slides them over to the side and feels your wetness. You let out a quiet moan as you move your hips closer to his hand. Your wetness allows him to easily slide his finger inside your core, causing you to let out another moan.
“Joe, shit,” you quietly moan.
He begins to pump his finger in and out of your slick heat as your breaths come out in short gasps. You move your hand to grip his forearm as he picks up the pace of his fingers, eventually adding another which was driving you insane.
“Oh my god,” you moan as you squirm in your seat.
You look over at him, a smile on his face and he was so casually talking to his friends through the headset, and had you a complete mess right next to him. He continued to pump his fingers into your core as your grip on his forearm tightened.
“Ahh,” you quietly moan as you throw your head back into the cushion. Your breathing turned heavier as his thumb grazed your clit and he started to rub your sensitive sweet spot. A few seconds later, you felt your walls clenching around his fingers.
“I’m gonna cum,” you whimpered. And as if on cue, he pinched your clit with his thumb and pumped another finger into your core, ultimately sending you straight over the edge.
“Joee,” you moaned as you came around his fingers.
End of flashback
“Joe’s a really great guy,” Bella says as she takes a sip of her wine, snapping you back to the present.
“Mhm, he really meshes with everyone so well,” Sydney adds as she pops a chip into her mouth.
“Yup. Andd he is absolutely amazing to you. He’s like your real-life prince charming that you would dream about in high school,” Bella says.
A blush creeps up your face as they continue to tell you how amazing he is. “He’s so down to earth and normal even though he’s a millionaire quarterback, it never fails to amaze me. And he is absolutely head over heels in love with you” Sydney says while patting your thigh.
“Yeah, he really is,” you say as you take a sip of your wine.
“I mean, it’s been like what, 5 or 6 years?” Sydney asks.
“Yup,” Bella responds.
“5, almost 6 years of that everlasting blush and smile on your face. This is it, Y/N,” Sydney says, referring to what you had been dreaming about since you were little.
“Here comes the bride,” Bella Sing-Songs as she mimics a slow dance, causing you to break into a laugh.
“Bella’s right. Any wedding bells in the near future?” Sydney asks.
A smile creeps up your face as you look back over to Joe who is incredibly focused on the video game and chatting with your other cousins.
“Yeah actually. We have talked about it,” you say as you look back over to Sydney and Bella, a big smile on both of their faces.
Flashback to last summer
You and Joe had been laying out on the pool chairs on the deck, soaking in a bit of the sun and hoping for a nice tan. You were laying there with your eyes closed as you suddenly felt a dip in your pool chair. You opened your eyes and Joe was kneeling on the chair.
“Think you can make some room?” he smiles.
“Always,” you say as you spread open your legs. Joe lays down in between them, the back of his head resting against your belly and his arms caressing your legs. You move your hands into his soft golden hair and let out a relaxed sigh as you feel so much peace at that moment.  You closed your eyes again, but suddenly opened them at Joe’s question.
“Do you wanna get married?” he asks so casually.
“What,” you say, feeling a bit dazed.
“I said, Do you want to get married?” he laughs as he turns around in between your legs, moving a bit higher so that his head is resting on your chest now and his arms around your waist.
“Is this your way of proposing?” you giggle as you look down at him.
“Well, No. I don’t have a ring yet and when I do propose, it will definitely be more memorable. But would you want to marry me?”.
You stay silent for a few seconds, a million thoughts in your head. Was this really happening? You had dreamt of your wedding since you were 5 years old, and now you had someone who wanted to make that a reality. And it wasn’t just any ‘someone’, it was Joe, your Joe. Your boyfriend, best friend, and favorite human.
“Of course I would,” You smile as he looks back up at you.
“Really?” he asks while raising his eyebrows.
“Really. I couldn’t think of a better person to spend my life with. You are quite literally my dream boy and I am so fucking glad I spilled that coffee on those textbooks in the Library at LSU. It brought me you,” you say as you rub his back.
“I love you,” he says as he presses kisses onto your chest.
“I know things are a bit crazy right now with football and everything and I want you to focus on your goals first, so whenever the time is right and the time comes, I’ll be right here,” you add.
Joe lifts his head off of your chest, moves to your face, and starts to press kisses all over your lips. “I love you so much,” he says in between kisses.
“I love you too, future husband,” you say.
End of flashback
“Awwww,” your cousins said in Unison.
“So yeah,” you breathe out. “It’s gonna happen when it happens,” you shrug.
“Well, I have a feeling it’s gonna happen soon. My intuition has never failed me,” Sydney says.
“Syd’s right. You remember when her intuition said that the Zipper ride at the pier was going to break down mid-ride and that we shouldn’t go on it? And then 15 minutes later what happened?”
“You guys are too much,” you giggle as you get off the barstool and put the empty glasses in the sink.
“Can’t help it. Baby Cousin is gonna be a Wifeyyyy,” Bella teases as she hops off the barstool and grabs your arms, and twirls you around.
“Shut up,” you laugh as she pulls you in for a hug.
“Yo, you guys ready to go to the pier?” Micheal asks from the living room.
You lift your head up and say, “Um, is that even a question,”.
“Joe, you and Y/N can go in your car, we all can take the other one,” Sydney says.
“Sounds good,” he says as he walks over to the counter to grab the keys and then grabbing your hand. He presses a kiss to your forehead as he leads you out to the driveway.
A few minutes later
You and Joe are in the car and on the way to the Boardwalk where the pier is. Joe’s hand rests on your thigh and your hands are playing with his soft fingers.
“You having fun?” he asks.
“I am,” you smile. “Thank you so much for doing this,”.
“Hey, they’re my family too,” he says while giving your thigh a soft squeeze.
You look over at Joe for a few moments. God, your life was perfect. You could not ask for anything more, it couldn’t get better than this. He was truly the best thing that could have ever happened to you. Your family loved him, your friends loved him, you loved him. The way he makes you feel cannot be replicated by anyone else. Truly one of a kind.
“Y/N, you’re staring at me again,” Joe laughs as he notices you gazing at him.
“I knoww,” you blush.
“Well… You gonna tell me why this time?” he asks, looking back over at you.
You let out a content sigh, “I just feel so high school every time I look at you,”.
“I’m gonna pretend like I know what you’re talking about,” he says while parking the car.
“I feel so high school with you, like I’m 16 again. I’m dating a quarterback who absolutely loves everything about me. I never thought I would be dating him, it was really unexpected. I never would have had the courage to make a move, but he did. You knew what you wanted and boy, you got her” you beam. "I'm living a teen rom-com right now,".
Joe turns off the car and looks at you, his mouth slightly open and his eyes filled with nothing but love. His heart fluttered at your words. You were it for him. He wanted nothing more and he felt at peace knowing you felt the same about him.
“Y/N,” he whispers as his hand cups your cheek.
“I love you, Joe. Thank you for making my dream a reality,” you say as you move closer to him.
He leans over the center console and slowly inches closer to your lips, eventually capturing them in a sweet kiss. The neon lights from the Ferris Wheel reflected onto the car, casting a glow on both of you. This felt like something straight out of high school. You were sitting in the car with the man of your dreams, at the beach where you would spend countless hours of your youth, a memory-filled place, and you were sharing it with your special person.
You pulled away after a few seconds, a smile bigger than ever before on your face. “You know how that felt?”.
“So High School,” he responded with a smile.
“So High School,” you nodded as you pulled him back to you for another kiss, both of you smiling into it.
Suddenly you heard a few smacks on the window and some yelling, causing you and Joe to pull away.
“What the-” you say.
“Come onnn Love-Birds!” James yells.
“We don’t have all night!” Bella screams as your Cousins walk over to the pier entrance.
“You guys can make babies later, that rollercoaster is calling our name!” Sydney yells.
“Let’s goooo,” Micheal adds, pointing to the Ferris Wheel.
You and Joe look at each other and start laughing at the scene. He gets out of the car and makes his way to your side, opening your door and helping you out of the car. He closes your door, grabs your hand, entwines your fingers, and leads you over to the entrance.
“This is gonna be epic,” Joe says. His cheeks were pink and his eyes twinkled in the light, a bounce present in his step. He looked like a little kid at the boardwalk for the first time.
“Yeah, this is so high school,” you laugh as Joe eagerly leads you to the entrance.

how would Steve try and describe human relationships to mermaid reader? and what would her reaction be?
also I love the fact that she has her own “room”.
Miss G?
Steve Rogers x deep sea mermaid!Reader from Sun, Salt, and Shield
Headcanon below the cut! (It got soooooo rambly, but is very cute.)
Tumblr media
Well, only Steve calls you 'Doll,' and though Tony will not stop calling you 'Grariel,' eventually you're called 'Miss G' instead--added bonus that you roll around on your Segway with Hollywood-huge sunglasses.
'Miss G' sounds like a celebrity and fancy. You don't understand that distinction yet, but Tony and Steve like it.
Oof, does Steve know how to describe relationships to humans? He's so awkward. He would start with simple things: couples enjoy doing activities together, spending time with each other and other couples or people, often times they touch casually (tricky to explain that word in limited english), and they...kiss.
Important things Steve would mention is that your teeth are very sharp (and numerous) compared to humans. Respectfully, he teaches you to smile without opening your mouth, and does warn that, though he's a fast healer and tougher than most, he will bleed if your teeth catch any part of him ::cough::.
Tony sank a pressure chamber into the bottom of the pool, so you can sleep there comfortably. Rarely, he'll let Steve take one of the Divers and camp out on the ocean floor where you live. Sometimes that makes Steve a little sick for a day or two after, but he never mentions that to you.
This is sorta dumb, and Steve thought it was downright offensive at first, but Tony left all the pool toys in the corner of the room and slowly teaches you to play with all of them. You're quite dense, so you need like ten foam noodles to 'float' you on the surface, but it's very fun.
You find the beach ball is endlessly entertaining, mainly because you swim so fast and can hit it so hard that the ball ricochets off the ceiling like a higher level of Pong. You've popped nearly a dozen of them, but Tony just buys them in bulk.
So, back to relationship and Steve's explanation.
The most heart-warming thing Steve teaches you is the hug. So simple. So reminiscent of your first meeting. If you lay your head on his chest, your face can remain underwater to breathe and hold onto Steve indefinitely, and he's tried. The longest he's gone is five straight hours of just you two holding each other, brushing his thumb over your cheek, giving you soft back rubs, getting gentle back scratches from you, and loving every second.
Sometimes he just talks to you, even when he knows you can't understand most of the words. It's shocking how much gets across by emotion and intonation alone. You squeeze him a little tighter when he's telling you a sad story, and you rub your forehead into his sternum when he laughs at something.
Turns out, Tony used F.R.I.D.A.Y. to compile 'essential human visuals' into a slide-show, and Steve will explain pictures like prompts. That's helped a great deal because it gives him somewhere to start a conversation and lets him see how interested you are in what's happening on the screen. The light of the projector took some adjusting for your eyes, and then was too low for Steve to make out very much, so he now has his own special glasses, like Tony's, that show him an enhanced version of the slides.
Okay, okay, but I gotta say, the absolute most random and best thing ever was you trying to find Steve's room in the compound on your own. Tony gave you the room number--which you don't actually know how numbers work yet, but you go by memorizing the shapes--and then got engrossed by some other work. You hopped up onto your Segway, shades on, Atlantian breathing mask on to keep your mouth and throat in salt water, and you zoomed right through those double doors and past you 'guard.' They aren't there to keep you in, after all, but you did scare the shit out of them.
Off you fly down the main hall, back the other way, straight into the elevator, and you wait patiently, listening to horribly boring music and flicking your fin rapidly with nerves.
The buttons are confusing.
So. You press all of them.
Zippity doo-dah, round and round the halls you go, smiling (with your lips together) at the multiple people you almost run over, getting waylaid by the view of distant mountains from one window, and diligently starting to understand that the shapes Tony showed you repeat everywhere. You're looking for the correct order to them.
It takes over 45 minutes of going between 0 and 20 miles per hour to find the right combination on a little plaque, and it takes only the very tip of your nail to depress the squishy button below the plaque.
You're growing quite fond of the squishy buttons. Some of them are hard but light up. The surface is fun.
Steve is wiping white foam from a fresh shave off his jaw when the door swings open, and you do a spin on your wheels, spreading your fingers like the showy jazz-hands in one of the pictures about stage plays--musicals, they're called--better than elevators, you hope.
You get the ten cent tour of his little apartment and sit on a couch for the first time. Very exciting. Fabric is delightfully strange.
There's talk of a beach vacation, one where you and Steve might get to race along the shore, you in the surf and him on the sand.
You aren't sure whether you'll let him win or not.

Are you jealous?
Note: this was requested by @cheeseballsaregood hope you like it!🫶
Pairing: Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell x reader
Warnings⚠️: a lot of smut and bad language. I think that’s all:)
Summary: Maverick gets jealous and he reminds you that you are…his
As always, you woke up today at 5:00 AM and went for a run before joining everyone else on deck. Fortunately, you only had a few classes today and no practice. You really weren’t in the mood to stand Maverick’s annoying comments on your flying skills. It’s always been like that, since you got into top gun Maverick has had a weird name obsession with making fun of your age and everything that you do. Your brother Goose was 23 and Maverick was 22, so yeah, you were the youngest.
Dealing with Pete Mitchell was never easy, but you had gotten better.
When you made it to your seat, Goose and Maverick both took a seat by your side, placing you between them. “Hey, (y/c/s), we were planning on going to the bar tonight, you coming?” Goose asked you, but before you could answer, Maverick said “I don’t think kids are allowed at the bar”. You looked up to see him wearing that irritating shit-eating grin and you just left saying “I don’t think assholes are allowed either”.
Later that day, you found yourself on the beach with the boys for a volleyball game. Iceman and Slider had also joined and you could tell that Iceman was one good-looking man and you couldn’t help but look at him for a moment and Maverick noticed this. He didn’t like it one bit. You didn’t realize that you were staring at Iceman until a piece of clothing landed on your face hitting it softly. “Stop staring. It’s disgusting” you head Maverick say and you just laughed and said “you wish you looked like him” “I look better than him”.
During the whole game Iceman and Slider were checking you out, even flirting and Maverick didn’t like it at all, so he just threw the ball aggressively in the sand and stormed off. You noticed this and went behind him ignoring Goose’s calls to come back.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!?” You were trying to get to him, but he was walking too fast. “We were having a good time!” He suddenly turned around and said “a good time!? You were not even playing! You were just flirting!” You couldn’t believe that he was mad about that. “Don’t be ridiculous! Why would you even care!?” “They were undressing you with their eyes!” When he said that, you realized that might be jealous, but it was impossible. He never gave any sign of him liking you. “Are you jealous?” He completely ignored your question and told you “get in the bike”. You did what he told you and got into his motorbike and he did the same before starting it off.
You and Maverick made it to his apartment and as soon as you both got in, he pinned you on the wall kissing you hungrily while taking off every piece of clothing he could reach.
When you both made it to his room, he quickly threw you on the bed and took off his own clothes “Turn around.” he said, his eyes were burning with desire.
You obeyed and laid on your stomach, your ass in the air. He stepped towards you, his hand feeling the smooth of your ass, and his hand smacked against you - hard. You whimpered and clenched your thighs, already feeling that primal urge.
“I’m going to fuck you so hard you’re not going to be able to look at Kazansky anymore. You are mine” he smacked you again. “And you’re going to show me that you are mine” you moaned, eager to feel him in you.
You heard as he spat in his hand and let out a sigh as he slipped a finger into you. The soft sigh quickly turned a gasp as he shoved two more fingers into you, not bothering to escalate slowly and directly jumping to three fingers. You closed your thighs and he smacked you again.
“Fuck!” you groaned.
His thumb went to your clit and he began to pleasure you there too. You spread your legs, eager to feel him everywhere, and grabbed the sheets.
“I want to hear you moan my name.” he said as he planted kisses on your neck. “Now.”
You obeyed and opened your mouth. Your moans poured out like water shooting out of a dam. You moaned his name when his fingers slipped out of you, but yelled again as he slammed into you without warning.
His thrusts and hard from the get go, giving you no time to adjust. He grabbed your hair and yanked it back, pulling you against him. He attacked your neck, biting and sucking, and grabbed your breasts, squeezing and pinching.
You turned your head to kiss him but he pushed you down. He slammed into you, making you yell out in a mix of pain and pleasure, and smacked your ass with his hand. He pressed your head further into the mattress as his cock reached deeper into you. Tears were beginning to roll down your cheeks.
In one quick movement he slid out of you and spun you around. Your eyes fell on his face and you nearly came right there. His hair was messy and his were sharp. He tugged you down and slammed back into you. His hand slid up your stomach and chest and rested around your throat.
Your legs were spread wide open and you had a direct view of his cock sliding in and out of you. You moaned and John tightened his grip around your throat. He was close, you could tell by his movements.
His fingers went between you legs and he began rapidly playing with your clit. You moaned his name making him cum. He pressed into you, as deep as he could go, and dragged you into an orgasm with him. He rode you out, pushing his cum further into you, before collapsing on top of you in a sweaty mess, his cock still deep inside you.
Your thighs ached but you ached for more of him.
This type of smut was actually new for me, so I really hope it was not that bad😅

Jonerys Sultry Summer 2023 | Day 5: Free Choice ❤️ 🏝️ ❄️ | a teaser
I have the first chapter almost done for this fic, inspired by the book “Babymoon or Bust” which my bestie @youwerenevermine recommended to me. It’s totally Jonerys!
Lovely Erika also has a series of MBs for this prompt, see here!
"Daenerys Targaryen. You did say your name was a mouthful."
The sinking sensation gave way to weak knees, and a cold sweat broke out over her, followed immediately by cascading waves of memories.
A low, shy laugh like a dog bark.
A half smile with eyes that still crinkled in the corner.
Lips so sinfully sweet she wanted to cry when he kissed her the first time, hands plunging through her hair, holding her against him.
She swallowed the dry lump in her throat, trying to breathe, if not for her sake than for little Wolfie's sake. Gods knew oxygen was a requirement at this point, more than it ever was before, but of course she was struggling, because he was here.
"You," she gasped, because she couldn't think of anything else.
The memories kept flashing in front of her, blinding her. Even if they weren't, his very presence took up her entire vision. He wasn't a tall man, but he just....was there.
All hard muscle and black jeans and black shirt and...soft black hair tied in a knot at the base of his neck, and his scruffy beard scratching at her hands and.... Fuck! Dany did the best she could, standing as straight as a six-month pregnant belly allowed her while also tottering in her wedges. She clutched her bags to her, trying to seem bigger.
The beach ball on her waist might help with that. "What are you doing here?" she stammered.
The man pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and hit a button on it, lifting it to her. It was a voice memo. Except the voice coming out of the phone belonged to the woman who Dany was going to murder the first chance she got.
"Hey sweets, I know you got my text message, but just in case, here's a bit of insurance. Ran into this hunk banging on your front door about a week ago and convinced him to take my place on the trip. Trust me, hear him out, and I love you! Kisses!"
"She's dead," Dany ground out, glaring at the phone.
The man chuckled, replacing the phone into his pocket. "She was convincing, I'll give her that." He stared at her a moment, his bright gray eyes traveling from the top of her silver hair down to the coral-painted toenails peeking from her espadrilles.
He exhaled hard, his dark brows arching. "I think we need to talk, Daenerys Targaryen."
Her lips pursed. "Well since you followed me here...fine...Mr...." She tinged pink. How was it that the man in front of her had given her the best night of her life, absolutely fucked her to oblivion, with the most for curling orgasms, not to mention impregnated her and she didn't even know his name?
Because you guys said no names, no personal details, just one night, that was it. No harm, no foul.
Until the positive pregnancy test a few weeks later.
The man flashed a hard smile. It didn't quite meet his eyes. "Jon. Jon Snow."

heyyy can u do a ot11 way of how the boyz would spend their summer with you <3
great summer escape
tbz ot11 x reader (platonic, ft. juyeon probably has a crush on you) (request)
genre: pool party, they are all kind of dumb and excited, sunwoo gets hit in the eye twice, juyeon bad flirter notes: i never realized how hard it is to type with long nails yet here i am, like it is so noisy and my fingers are cramping >.< word count: 0.8k
“i haven’t had a pool party in years,” sangyeon thought to himself.
“that’s because you’re old,” eric remarked.
the older glared at him, “i’m only a few years older than you, watch your mouth.”
you smiled fondly as you watched them bicker. they were currently sipping on cold drinks as they sat on the pool's edge, their legs dangling in the water. you turned to look at the rest.
you laughed this time when you noticed how everyone was doing odd things. hyunjae and juyeon were in the pool, trying to see who could stay under the water the longest without practically dying. sunwoo, changmin, and chanhee were playing volleyball with a beach ball that they had found. plus, chanhee was screaming for some reason.
jacob, younghoon, and kevin were swimming laps around the whole pool area. it was probably for exercise, or actually just to race each other.
eric got up, putting down his empty drink as he approached you. “why aren’t you in the pool?” he asked, curiously. you shrugged.
then, hyunjae popped up from the water, his hair absolutely drenched and dripping all over his face. he smiled mischievously, “can you not swim?”
you stood up, shooting daggers with your eyes at him, “of course, i can!”
sunwoo looked at you, one eye closed. at first, you wondered why but then you realized it was because the beach ball had hit him straight in his eye, making him flinch with pain.
“then join us,” he beckoned. “it’s fun, i promise.”
you didn’t notice him turn to changmin, signaling with a nod of his head and a wink. sangyeon suddenly appeared by your side, smiling gently and kindly.
“it’s okay if you really don’t want to, you know,” he told you. “they’re just teasing.”
“are you sure?” you eyed him skeptically. “they seem to be pressuring.”
he could only offer you a grimace as he looked at you, knowing that you were absolutely right. kevin suddenly stopped swimming so that he could lean over the edge, tilting his head at you.
“why won’t you join us?” he pouted. “you have your swimming clothes on too.”
you sighed, defeated. “i’d rather not get my hair wet… i’ll look weird.”
juyeon also appeared from under the water.
“but you’ll always look amazing to us,” he spoke up, winking cheekily. but then, he choked after the water had splashed into his mouth. you stared in horror.
“please never flirt ever again,” you pleaded, slightly covering your face with your hand from second-hand embarrassment. “you’re horrible.”
juyeon nodded, defeated, in which hyunjae patted his back with sympathy. though in reality, he and younghoon were snickering behind his back.
just as you were about to say something else, you felt a hand behind your back. of course, with a shriek, you were pushed into the water. you shivered at the sudden coolness of the pool water engulfing you as you quickly swam up to the surface. you could hear sunwoo laugh in the background. you whipped your head around, looking for the culprit, and right there, was changmin, who was currently doubled over from laughter.
you glared at him.
“you really don’t listen, do you?”
he simply shrugged without a word, smiling at you cheekily.
you looked around. everyone else who was in the pool with you was staring at you excitedly. some of them were tall enough to stand up on the pool floor, and some were swimming to keep themselves up. they almost looked like cute puppies who wanted to play.
you sighed, defeated. “okay, fine, i’ll hang out a bit i guess…”
“great!” younghoon exclaimed.
you felt hands wrap around your waist as you were suddenly spun around through the water.
you yelped, slapping what appeared to be juyeon’s arms, trying to get him to let go.
but then everyone paused when they heard a giant splash in the distance. you looked and sangyeon had floated up in the water, coughing, and sputtering. eric was standing on the edge, his hands on his hips, standing like a proud superhero as he cackled evilly.
sangyeon complained, “i said i didn’t want to…”
“too bad,” eric shot back, sticking his tongue out. “live a little!”
you giggled. without a thought, you took the beach ball that had floated towards you and threw it to start a new game. but you had bad aim, which made sunwoo get hit in the eye… again. you scrambled to apologize but he whined, interrupting you.
“you all are such fake friends,” he grumbled.
“don’t be so salty,” chanhee remarked.
“my eye hurts!”
“want me to kiss it better?” jacob sweetly asked. sunwoo simply stared in disgust, as he hurriedly paddled away. suddenly, it became a chasing game between all of you.

Chapter 3
Honey
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Tuesday night when I arrived home, my father was in the living room doing his puzzles, the sign that a talk is waiting for me. Early in the morning when I got back in the simulator, I decided to honor the memory of Riley, with that in my mind, 4:57 minutes, 3 fighters and 1 tracking weapon, all down.
“I hear it was a good one.” Shit, I knew it, but my tip toeing didn’t work like it never did. He laid back in his armchair and pointed me with his head to the couch. “So proud of you lieutenant.” I drag me to the couch when I sit, he laughs.
“Good job Sky, I know you can make it, don’t lose that courage in you, that confidence and that braveness.” He sees me right to my eyes. “I always going to be there, being your fan #1.” My dad always said that and made me feel like I can do anything.
“We.” My mother enters the room with just baked brownies. “We are always going to be there.” She put the plate over the puzzle of dad, bringing us that comfy atmosphere to the room.
-
The next day I had a day off, so I decided to go to the beach just for a walk and spend some time with me. It’s a nice day, no to hot, not too humid so I let the waves touch my feet, when in front of my feet a volleyball ball rolls.
“Well, well, well, Skyhook in the area.” Mike Lewis (Shooter) shouted from where a couple of members of the navy was playing. “Are you in the mood for a game?”
I don’t answer.
“Come on! We take it easy on you.” Like always hitting my nerves.
Like every volleyball navy game; strategy, and intelligence along with a good shape combine it’s proven in every play; surprisingly I get used to quickly, my body remembers how, I enjoy these games, and…Damn it, how I love to win Shooter.
“That’s what we call a shoot!” Rooster screams point to the win of Jill and I from Mike and his partner Tom Ryan (Magic)
“You remember how to play, let’s find it out if you remember how to be a Top Gun pilot.” Mike screamed walking away, he was the second best in our generation, with me out, he was the first.
“What a loser.” Jill says offer me a bottle of water. “Please tell me when you get back on training you shoot him down like the old times.” She has those puppy eyes in her face and I laugh.
“First I need to know if I can get back.” I drink my water, and I see Phoenix hitting a Rooster and laughing. I smile, that's how Rooster caught me seeing him; a harder beating in my chest, followed by me feeling shy one more time, what is wrong with me?
“Ladies, please move aside for the next game or join it but don’t obstruct the field.” Barry says, grabbing us by our arms and pulling us outside of it.
“Nice hit, by the way.” I hear Rooster say to me before I walk to the bench and sit for a while.
“A nice and smooth aim I have.” He put his eyes in white. “I’m sorry for not recognizing you, I just…” He was standing in front of me, but his hand was inside of his pocket.
“Really, no worries, actually I rather prefer you don’t recognize me.” But he smiles.
“The famous Skyhook, how can I miss it?” I put my lips together trying to smile.
“Well, not anymore.” I can see the full confused expression on his face, before he tries to find it out, Barry starts to call me, I say goodbye and walk where he is.
“Do you know him?” Jill asks me, I didn’t even realize when she came.
“Damn! Jill, you need a sleigh bell.” That’s why she gets that calling, she is quite like a Panther.
“A small one please.” We both giggle.
“It’s the second time I crossed more than 3 words, so if that counts as knowing him, yes I do, but if not, well he is just an acquaintance.” Jill looks at him with sharp eyes, but she lets slip the topic.
“Ok, but I’m here to invite you. The boys and I will go to Hard Deck for a couple of drinks and hang around a little bit. Come, we’ll be happy to see you back, not with the old guys, with the young and fresh blood.” Jill refers to us like the young when Rooster and Phoenix generations are in Miramar, it’s like a healthy and fun rivalry.
“PLEASE SKY! Also, I bet Penny will die when she sees you.”
*
“ROOSTER!” Bob screamed and moved his hand in front of my eyes. “Are you ok?” He sits next to me on the bench where we were watching the games.
“Yeah, yeah, why?” He drinks a sip from his bottle of water and I put the sunglasses on.
“Don’t ask Bob, he is… a little crush on that girl.” Phoenix says after finishing her match.
“I don’t.” I say standing because the next match is my turn with Bob.
“Are you coming for a new challenge, Sky?” I turned around faster as my neck let me, finding it was just a game for Phoenix.
“See?” Bob laughs and I push him for a walk.
“So funny, so funny.”
*
Here I am, 4:30 pm, standing outside of Hard Deck with my hands in my pockets, staring at the neon lights, denied with my head, just when I turn around…
“We open until 5.” The voice of Penny makes me turn around and bite my lip. “Oh my…” When I left my gaze Penny had her hands on her waist and tapped her feet on the sand.
“Hi Penny.” She walks where I was and hugs me, I freeze in that moment but after a couple of seconds I give up.
“Glad to see you, glad to see you little girl.”
Penny and my family had a long friendship, she knows me since I wear diapers, saw me grown up and when I get into Top Gun program, we became more closer, she is like a second mother to me, always keep an eye on me, cover me when the drinks took the power of my body, when disgusting guys tried to hit on me or when the training lessons where to hard, and go back crying like a baby with my parents wasn’t an option. She always has an open arms for me, of course, she was an important witness of my fall.
“But something is missing.” Penny said letting me go but holding me by my shoulders. “Where is the uniform?” I giggle, since last year I refused to wear the uniform. Everyone told me it was ok because I’m part of the navy. Still wearing it feels so wrong, every time I come to Miramar, I just wear the navy jacket, a black t-shirt and jeans.
“Come on Penny, I’m not an active member, also I look cute in this.” She smiles at me and drags me inside the Hard Deck.
“So, are you coming tonight?” She is getting ready for the night coming ahead. “I heard there will be some deployments, and you know, the house is going to be full.” I sit on the stool.
“I don’t know, Jill invites me but…well, let’s see.” Penny put her hand over mine.
“Y/N I think it’s time to let go, I bet Riley will be sad if he sees you holding back.” I grasp her hand and let the tears slip. “Riley is always going to be with you Y/N but…because I know, both of you, I think he will want you back in the sky, it wasn’t your fault, but you must let him go to come back again.” I looked at Penny’s eyes and she put both of her hands over mine.
“If you need him, you know where to find him.” She points to the necklace. “Here.” And my heart. “And here.”
-
Like a classic night in Hard Deck, the sounds of the jukebox, the screams and chatter from the crew can be heard from outside, the sound of glass crashing one to the other and the bell of Penny put a smile on my face. I just went home to tell my parents I’ll be back home late and put myself together one more time.
I open the door, my plan is to pass like another girl into the bar but in the distance, Barry screams my name when he sees me. “Y/N IN THE HOUSE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.” When I turn my sight, I see all my generation, some friendly faces, rivalry faces but I feel the happiness of most of them, they come and grab me by the arms dragging me to the pool table where a game is taking place.
“Sky, nice to see you here.” Justice offers me a beer. She is a good friend from our time as students.
“Nice to be back.” I accept it but Shooter appears.
“Not yet, 2 more weeks.” He winks his eye, a sign he will annoy me but in a friendly way.
Time flies. I laugh with them like the old times, we play around, and I feel at ease when an old and dear voice calls me.
“Y/N call sing Skyhook.” I see through the crowd, and I smile so big to him. “When I hear you were here, I say, God, she must miss me.” I walk where he was and offer him my hand which he pulls force to crash with him, he hugs me and when I don't respond to the hug,  he grabs my wrists and puts it around him. “Welcome back kiddo.”
I smile and see all his friends smiling and laughing. “That much you miss me Jake, huh?”
He tosses my hair. “Let’s keep it like a secret.”
I met Jake when I got in the program, as funny it could sound, he was our instructor. At the beginning he was a pain in all the ways, in every class he gave me; until one day Riley and I agreed it was time to teach him something new, like my father says.
<Head and hands cool Y/N and you can make magic.>
We took him down in less than a minute with an invert fly. The worst, for him, the admiral, was watching the exercise. From this day and on a good friendship took form.
We were talking about random topics, his mission, and my test time when we didn’t even realize the jukebox stopped and the piano behind us started to play.
“Jesus! Rooster to the attack.” I turn around and see him on the piano with his sunglasses on, his team around him and I wonder what it’s going on.
“Rooster plays the piano?” The questions split from my mouth.
“Watch and see.” Phoenix says sitting next to us.
Suddenly he starts to play and old song that I recognize; in my teens, that song was a constant when I learn to plane; his team start to sing along with him even Jake is singing with less excitement but a smile in his face but when the second verse came, I laughed at love 'cause I thought it was funny. You came along and you moved me, honey. I feel Nat, Bob, and Jake eyes on me, I blame the alcohol but my cheeks burn.
Truth be told, when I saw Bradley Bradshaw a couple years ago, it was like cupid shooting an arrow straight to my heart. I used to have a crush on him, but like the first time, the time isn’t right.
When Rooster finish everyone in the bar start clapping and shout his name, it was obvious how much he is adoring it, but when the euphoria slow down I see Jill make a sign to go with them, so I say goodbye Jake and Nat, I grab my beer and walk where all my teammates were talking high spirit in a pool table.
“Ready, we're all here!” Jill says pulling and tingle our arms, I just open my mouth when Tom came running say the count is paid, and with that we rush outside of Hard Deck, I just wave my hands to Penny before they drag me out where 3 cabs are waiting for us, and I understand it in that moment.
When we graduate, we sit for a drink and eat bags of chips on one side of the runway just illuminated by the lights, and every deployment of the team we promise to do the same because we know who left but we never know if they will be back, and today it isn’t an exception.
“This is for Riley.” Barry raises his beer. “Wherever you are, you did well.” The pressure in my chest started to increase, but this time I felt confident.
“And for Y/N, we can’t wait to see you up there.” Unexpectedly, Shooter speaks.
“The second place will suit you better.” Too good to be true. All giggle and crash our beers, and when we look in the sky like magic, a F-18 is landing.

Hey Jinx, was their a time you guys were having fun together? Maybe during the holidays or something?
@demon-blood-youths
"Huh? A time when we were having fun together as a fraction?" She asked thinking about it with her team relaxing and eating some home made ice cream since it was summer.
"Hmmmm, well we have plenty of times during the holidays and things. Though, it does remind me of one time when we all went to the beach together."
~~~~~~~~~
"Uggghhh why are we out here again? So hot.." Fosh whines but he was fanning himself while the guys were wearing swimtrunks or drinking some cold sodas.
"Oh come on, it's not that bad." Rex said while drinking a cold smoothie seeing the guys were already having fun or some out in the water.
"It's pretty nice. I guess this is a thank you after the last few things happening....even if I'm shocked Mr. Henderson gave us a private beach." Navarro grumbled.
"Again, it's not bad.....though..at least we have friends joining us!" Rust said seeing the Six claws, Yuji and some of his friends here too.
"Though, where are the girls?" Ren asked pushing up his glasses. They got their answer looking over near a volleyball court area. Most of the female members were changing into their own swimwear but should be back.
"They should be coming out soon.." Joshua said nervous but he was looking at a ice cream smoothing before...
"Hey guys! We got a volleyball and court at this private beach Mr. Henderson gave us. Isn't that cool!?" the six claws look up but when they did they spit their drinks out in shock.
"Uhhhh you guys okay?" Ink asked even if she was wearing a dark blue and grey swimsuit with her head tilted. The guys then saw the other female members in swimsuits too. Most or some talking while walking out or some wearing hats. Wow, they were cute!
"Uhhh guys? Hello? You good?" Ink said waving her hands in front of the six claws faces to snap them out of it.
"Ummmmmm.......were good." they said.
".....Okay but did you hear what I said. We got a volleyball court! We are gonna play some rounds if you wanna join!" she said smiling.
"....That sounds like fun!"
"Then come on! We were going to have guys and girls play!" she said happy.
~~~~~~~~
"Though, that ended when the game got serious..but still fun.." Jinx said.
"That's because you took it so serious the last time we went." Echo said.
~~~~~~~~
"DAMN IT JINX YOU SAID WE WERE TO HOLD BACK! YOU MADE A CRATER IN THE COURT!" Jinx winces from Echo shouting but she only blinks to laugh.
"Sorry I got excited! I love playing this game!" she pouts while looking over to see she was against the DBT or some that wanted to play this round.
"If your going to do that then at least try not to destory the field!" Echo shouted.
"I think we shouldn't keep holding back! It's not fun if we do!" Ink said pouting.
"Seriously!?" Navarro glares at her.
"Oh come on! It'll be fun! Everyone is having fun! So come on, lets go again!" Ink said to see her fraction is against the Cursed Vixens.
"Alright, Vivi's serve!" Jinx said as she was holding the ball but she was ready to serve it. As soon as she did, everyone saw the two fractions playing. A few did some passes, hits, and spikes before it ranked up.
Jinx jumps to spike the ball down to the DBT's side as the ball was coated in black flames. "HEADS UP!" she laughed spiking the ball down hard but Ink quickly slides in the side to kick the ball up.
"RUST!!"
"ON IT!" He said rushing to hit the ball up before he saw Ink get as he goes to spike it down harder.
The two teams were going all out even causing the beach to shake that the other fractions were watching in shock. They really were not holding back. Seeing the two hitting the ball trying to get a point since it's 24-30 right now.
Yuji was watching jinx playing in her black and purple flamed design bikini but she was having fun even going against Ink.
"Isn't Jinx awesome?" he said even with hearts over his head. The six claws were watching.
"Same with Ink too.." Bakugo said. "I bet she'll win this with her fraction." he said.
"I think Jinx and her team will but we will see." Yuji said seeing Megumi sitting by along with Kisho who was sitting by Nobara, Miko, Yuria, Maki and the others. They saw Melinda jump up to spike the ball but Jaron blocks to see it get spiked to the ground earning a point for the DBT.
"Nice one Jaron!" Maggie said.
"Thanks!"
"That was a good one! I'll get the next one, Jaron!" Melinda said but he was ready along with their fractions. The game kept going on for a while.
~~~~~~~~~
"The game was so much fun however, it got so intense we umm....well me and Ink accidentally set the court ablaze when trying to spike the ball back to back. Though, at least the beach was still good." she laughed.
"That's because you two burned the sand around you that it turned into glass." Vivi said seeing Jinx sweatdrop.
"Oh yeah.."

Haruhiko,Mitch,Yuri,Nikei playing volleyball with there classmates during a beach trip and gets distracted by there S/O swimsuit who just walking by which leads to the boys getting hit hard on the face or body by the ball
I see you like the pervs lol
I made S/o female, if you’d like me to edit this then I will
Haruhiko Kobashikawa:
The moment the class talked about going to the beach, this man was already picturing you in a bikini
Kizuna and Kiyoka managed to catch him trying to look into the girls changing room again, so he was dragged away before he could see you
Satsuki later told him that you were a bit shy wearing something so revealing, so you might be a while
He didn’t mind, he just mentally reminded himself to compliment you on it so you wouldn’t feel insecure
Haru enjoyed himself, still looking around for you ever couple of minutes, and Teruya and Mitch convinced him to play beach volleyball
It wasn’t until around halfway through the game when he saw you in your swimsuit for the first time
World record for fastest occurring nosebleed a guy could have
You were… perfect. How could someone like you possibly be insecure!?
You looked like an angel, with your skin becoming sun kissed and your mouth beginning to move
You were talking to him, you said-
“Haru! Look out!”
WHAM!
He woke up a few moments later in the infirmary, his head aching with every passing second through the pain of being hit by a volleyball and the fact that he would never live this down
“Haru! You’re okay!” He heard you shout and run over to him.
Kanata told him that he had a concussion and would have to stay in the infirmary for the day, he was a bit disappointed and annoyed when your classmates would visit and make fun of him every hour or so
On the bright side, you stayed with him and he got to admire your swimsuit and have you all to himself while his classmates were stuck with a nosebleed blood stained volleyball
Mitch Higa:
Like Haru, seeing you in a swimsuit was the first thing to come to mind
He would have tried to sneak into the girls changing room if he didn’t want to make himself look as hot as possible
Even if he had an S/o that he’d never cheat on, he’d never turn down the opportunity to show off to some beach babes, plus you were cute when you were jealous
He wasn’t too worried when you were running late, preparing to just grab a drink and wait for you on a towel and sunbathe
Then Kiyoka threw a volleyball at his head, then it was on
His classmates had to remind him that he wasn’t allowed to kick the volleyball, much to his annoyance
He eventually got the hang of the game, and his team was winning!
Then he saw you.
Holy shit your hot-
His mouth was open and he just stared at you
He didn’t register what you were saying until it was too late
Guess Kiyoka got him again
He got up a few moments later, since he’s the strongest out of the four, and went over to you, ignoring his classmates laughing at him
“H-Hey Y/n! You look great!” He internally cringed at his brief out of character stutter. It was like he was falling for you all over again
The two of you enjoyed yourselves and had fun together, and he eventually brought you to play in the water when he couldn’t take anymore people hitting on you
You just laughed and said he was cute when he was jealous
Yuri Kagarin:
Yuri was excited to see all the girls in their swimsuits when he learned about the beach party, but you in particular obviously
He asked you if you needed any help choosing a swimsuit to which you declined
His excitement lasted through the trip, until you got caught up in some prior event with your friends and would be running late
He waited for you for a while until he heard the girls whining about losing a beach volleyball match with the boys
Not on his watch
He swiftly joined the game and was ready to destroy the guys, even if Shinji and Hajime were much stronger than him
He missed a few points, but wasn’t too bad
Until he saw you
He found himself muttering to himself in Russian, before your voice snapped him out of it, yelling at him to duck
He wasn’t quick enough, the ball slamming into his face
WHAM!
He woke up in the infirmary around two hours later, his head barely hurt
His hair absorbed most of the impact-
You asked Syobai to leave after doing a checkup (Because you knew Yuri would hate to see a male when he first wakes up), and you gave him an icepack and comforted him the rest of the day
He’s glad he’s the only one who can see you like this now, he was honestly prepared to fight any guy who dared to flirt with you
Nikei Yomiuri:
Nikei didn’t care much for the beach, with the sand getting everywhere and risking getting one of his notepads wet, but it would be a good chance to interview everyone and see you in a swimsuit, so he didn’t mind
He was a bit worried when you didn’t show up, but heard that you made a stop at one of the island markets to get snacks for everyone
He spent most of his time jotting down notes under an umbrella
He didn’t want to play volleyball in fear of injuring his right hand, but when Setsuka and Hibiki teased him and offered to let him play off against Mikado, he jumped right in
Any chance to best Mikado was a chance he was willing to take
Since Mikado promised not to use any magic, Nikei was actually doing well for someone with the physical ability and strength of a stick, until of course, Mikado unknowingly brought out some of  his remnants of divine luck in the shape of you in a swimsuit
Nikei.exe has stopped working
The second your eyes met and he saw what you were wearing, his eyes refused to move anywhere other than you and his brain was so blank that he barely registered your voice yelling for him to duck
WHAM!
He woke up in the infirmary a few hours later, Syobai counting money while practically ignoring him while you were getting him an icepack
He’ll rather die than admit it but this was the one time losing to Mikado was worth it
While you were gone, Syobai told him that he was willing to snap a picture of you next time you go to the beach for a few million yen
Whether he took the deal or not was up to you

A fan fic comes to life as Jack punishes Reader for her getting drunk at the club. ***Light hearted smut*** 18+
“Go baby!!” You shouted at Jack while he went up the middle to the net and almost scored but the goalie dove across the net and reached far out to catch the ball just in time.
“Fuck!!” Jack said angrily from the field as he hated to be blocked.
He was subbed out for another player and looked over at you shooting you a smile. You knew he was pissed, but just seeing you there cheering him on made him smile.
“Yo y/n look at this” your friend said handing you her phone. “Read this new fan fic of Jack”
“What?” You said grabbing the phone. It never occurred to you there was smutty fic out there about your man with A LOT of hits. “Jack slid into me and thrust hard… WHAT?” You read gasping. No way were people writing this about your boyfriend.
“Why were you on your phone so much instead of watching me play?” Jack said in his feelings after the game, probably because his team lost. He was all sweaty with his arm slung around you as you walked off the field.
“Sorry baby, I was reading.” You explained
“Reading??? The game was that boring?” Jack teased and pretended to sulk which made his already pouty lips poutier.
“No…I was reading…ummm…” you hesitated
“Spit it out baby” Jack said impatiently
“I was reading fan fiction about you.” You said
“Fan shit? Like what, show me.” He asked motioning for your phone.
“Ah my friend showed me. I didn’t save it.” You said knowing full well she sent you some stories that you saved.
“Aight then. I’ll have to take it” Jack said tackling you onto the grass, sitting on you and wrestling your phone out of your hands
“Jack!!” You laughed as he tickled you
He was sitting on you as he opened your phone. You didn’t even know he knew your passcode, but then again of course he did. He had a way of knowing everything.
Instantly a story popped up. His eyes went wide, then they grew wider. “I fucking did all this shit?” He said giggling, fascinated, swiping and swiping. Jack was a fast reader. In one story he had met up with a fan and her friend with Urban and they had a foursome. “Ooh this one is good, but I couldn’t see myself fucking nobody with Urb like this. I don’t want to see his nuts.” Jack said seriously.
“Jack give me my phone!” You begged still on the ground under his weight.
“Hey Urban keep your balls out of my face!” Jack yelled over to his friend showing him the story
“Da fuck!?” Urban said as he read. He looked at you, then looked at the phone. Why you felt ashamed you didn’t know.
“Can you both stop and give me my fucking phone?” You said with Jack letting you up now.
“You like that freaky shit?” He said holding you from behind at your waist “You want to make a real life fic with me?” He said planting a kiss on your neck.
“Jack stop.” You said getting hot. He knew he could get you excited with one touch, one kiss, one look.
But he was kidding and toying with you because you know he was headed to the studio, and you had plans with your friends. It wasn’t often you got to Miami and you weren’t about to be locked up in some studio with Jack and a bunch of guys into wee hours. You had a killer outfit planned and it was Mimosa time. Jack peeled off his sweaty clothes and jumped in the shower. You heard him signing “You Know What’s Up” his favourite song as he lathered up. You started to pin up your hair and get ready to hit the shower after him. You knew he had to go and when Jack was headed to the studio he was in business mode. A separate shower was the best idea right now.
You went in after Jack. By the time you got out he was gone but left a note. “See you later Y/N” Like you were an anonymous fan fic character. You shivered in anticipation and started getting ready for your girls night. Your little black strapless sheer mini-dress left little to the imagination. As you met up with your friends the pics and drinks kept coming at the club on the beach.
“Oh shit Karesha??” You said as Yung Miami spotted you and you spotted her. You squealed as girls that love each other do and pecked on the cheek. You knew the real party was about to begin.
“Yo.” Urban said nudging Jack showing him Yung Miami’s post. You and her were shown hugging and in a smooch. You had obviously already had a few in the photos looking tipsy. He hadn’t seen your dress before he left and wish he had.
“Where’s the rest of her fucking outfit?” Jack said angrily. The caption under the post “If you a good girl act bad.” Made him go from 0 to 60. “Miami fucking knows my girl is not to be all the way out like that.” He said, disappointed in his friend. He texted her immediately.
“Oh shit.” She said when she saw his text light up bright in her phone in the dark club. She looked at you worried and said “Yo daddy texting me. You gotta go home.” She said hurriedly.
“No way. I’m in Miami babyyyyyy!!!” You yelled giggling. Yung Miami realized you had too much and felt responsible. You were in a VIP area with all your girls, Diddy and Miami having the time of your life cutting loose from Jack’s schedule and how disciplined he was all the time. “The drinks are flowing and I ain’t going!” You said as you danced. Miami knew Jack would be upset if anything happened to you and he was her friend. “Baby girl you gotta go home. It’s getting real wild, and yo man gone kill me.” She said “I’ll get you the driver.”
“I can’t believe this shit!” You stomped. The one time you get to cut Jack loose and ACT BAD was ruined. You reluctantly went home with Diddy’s driver. Jack opened the door to the villa you were staying in as soon as he saw the headlights shine into the living room” He watched you stumble up the walk and held the door open as you passed him.
“Don’t.” You said swaying a bit. You shoved your finger in his face to shush him and you took off your heels. You weren’t interested in a lecture.
“I’m not.” He said putting up his hands in surrender. He didn’t want you to know he thought you looked really sexy and super cute so he acted pissed. “You happy with yourself right now?” He questioned
“Yup.” You said giving him a tipsy smile “You know what Jackman Thomas H…Har..Harlow?” You said slurring and in his face. Jack was holding in laughter. “You gotta enjoy yourself. Life is sss….short.” You said
“It will be if you keep this up.” Jack lectured “Bed time.” He lead you straight to the bedroom and helped you get your dress off.
“You gonna wash the club off of me?” You said giggling hanging around his neck and clumsily stepping out of your dress leaving it pooled on the floor.
“Naw. I want to make a fic with you” he said in a low rasp as he started massaging your breasts. You let out a moan as Jack caressed your body. “Jack took you and turned you around” he said like the fic he read earlier as he turned you around.
“Are you reading me a story?” You laughed
“Sort of…but your the main character.” He said bending you over and tickling your wet heat with his red tip. Finally after teasing your soft space he entered you rock hard and slow, stretching your walls as he sank deeper into you. Nothing was sweeter than being inside of you. Jack threw his head back in pleasure.
“Jack” You said trying to make sense of being drunk and everything he was making you feel. “Please Jack.” You begged with your ass up as he picked up speed thrusting. He steadied himself by holding onto your arms and drove into you hard and fast. You felt like you were on the very edge when he pulled out abruptly and slapped your ass. “On your knees.” He ordered. You dropped to you knees and proceeded to give him aggressive head. You sloppily devoured him, pumping his dick with one hand as you greedily sucked and licked all the way up the underside of the entire length of his shaft. All of his veins flexed paying you homage.
“Shit.” He said looking down in disbelief at you working on him with all you had left. He grabbed the back of your head with both hands and shoved himself down your throat holding you there for a full minute as he writhed and squirmed in delicious agony. You gagged as he let you up for air. “Up” he said sternly as he helped you up off your knees. You deliriously wiped your mouth dripping with saliva and pre-cum. He pushed you onto your back on the bed and swung your legs over his shoulders as he slowly entered you again.
“Ughhh! God!” You cried out as he filled your space up pumping up and down holding your legs back. It was then that the alcohol started to wear off and you realized Jack was playing out a fic he read about himself from earlier.
“Tell me what you want” he demanded in a whisper as he drove deeper hitting your spot. His wet curls hanging and dancing in his face
“Stop! I want you to stop.” You whined as you couldn’t take much more. This turned Jack on.
“You want me to what?” He said slowing all the way down now in a deliberately long stroke that made your eyes roll back.
“Stop.” You said tears starting as you began to cum in the greatest painful pleasure you ever felt. Your legs shook and you held onto his arms
“Stop what?” He said toying with you putting his full weight into leaning in to tongue kiss you as he pushed your legs all the way back, stretching you more “Tell me.”
“Jack please stop! It’s so deep.” You pleaded. Jack hearing you pleading breathlessly into his ear made him erupt. You felt him rhythmically throbbing, pulsing and shooting a stream of warmth way up into the deepest part of you. You held your hips steady and squeezed around him tilting your ass to clench in position. This is where you had all the power and he knew it. You squeezed every last drop out of him as cream dripped down your inner thighs. He drew out slow, gasping when he was free.
“Geezus.” He said guzzling some water on the bedside table in a heaving sweaty mess. Nobody brought him to that point like you. That’s why he had to make sure you stayed out of trouble. A lot of eyes were on you whenever you stepped out.
“How does this story end?” He said looking back at you as you laid on your side making a trail on his back.
“Just like this.” You sighed in satisfaction. “You finally scored.”
“What did you say?” He said tickling and holding you down to take another kiss.

For the Proposal AU
For more family bonding Ajak sends them to play Beach Volleyball! But Thena isn’t quite used to her fiancé in all his glory 😏
"Yeah!"
"Come on, that's a foul!"
"It was on the line!"
Thena was more than happy to sit on the sidelines as the siblings - plus cousin Kingo - went about their game. Running around in the blazing sun simply wasn't for her, or her delicate complexion.
"Okay, okay, but next one you're not talking you way out of!" Gil laughed at his sisters across the net from him, who stuck their tongues out at him, like the adult women they were. He stretched up to serve the ball.
Thena looked down at the magazine of Ajak's she had been given to occupy herself while they were doing whatever. Ajak was getting some work done at the house that she absolutely could not get done with her many - loud - children there.
"Gil!"
Kingo bounced the ball off his fingers and Gil rose to hit it, not taking it easy on his much smaller sisters in the slightest.
Thena peeked over the rim of her sunglasses at them. She had never been to the beach with Gil before. Then again, why would she? But she had no idea he would enjoy being out in the sun so much. He seemed perfectly content to hang out with her in her nice, quiet, apartment on the weekends. Avoiding people, just like her...
Maybe she was just restricting him. Should she offer to go out with him more often?
Not that it mattered. Even divorced, Gil could go wherever he wanted with whomever he wanted. He didn't have to do what she wanted to do all the time...
Makkari leapt a frightening distance in the air to return the ball, bouncing it off her brother's head and out of bounds. She landed and waved her fists in the air in victory.
Sersi shook Makkari by the shoulders. "Yes!"
"Hey, no face shots!" Kingo protested (as if it had been his head used for target practice).
Thena caught herself before she could shout if he was okay. This was a family thing. She only came along to give poor Ajak some much needed space. She buried her face in the magazine again. It was about cooking, or interior design, or maybe gardening?--something she was no good at.
"You're up, big guy!"
Again, Kingo entrusted Gil with the ball to take the shot. Kingo was plenty tall and well muscled himself, it wasn't like he was unlikely to make the shot if he tried.
But Gil jumped up, hitting the ball as hard as he could to the far corner of the girls' side of the 'court'. He landed in the sand, leaning on his knees. His arms flexed.
Thena pressed her lips together. It wasn't like she was unaware Gil was muscular. Strong, at least, but she only saw him in work clothes! Button-ups and cardigans, sometimes a vest, maybe even a suit when they had a meeting for something. Sometimes he might wear a henley shirt on casual friday...those always looked good on him...
"Don't wanna join in?"
Thena startled, finding Kingo leaning over her shoulder and into her line of view. She cleared her throat, slapping the magazine closed (not that she was paying any attention to it). "Do I seem like an athlete to you?"
"You could try for fun," he suggested in a surprisingly gentle tone. Everything about Kingo screamed life-of-the-party, but he appeared to have a softer side to him. It shouldn't have surprised her, given the rest of his family. "I'm sure Gil would be on a team with you."
She let out a laugh for the sake of it, pretending she wasn't both trying and trying not to watch him. She took her sunglasses off and fanned her hair out over her shoulders. "I'm certain I couldn't keep up with him. Besides, this is a family tradition, isn't it?"
"Well," Kingo shrugged, sitting himself beside her properly. "You're going to be part of the family...aren't you?"
Thena looked at Kingo, who was looking at Gil chase his sisters around with a handful of sand. Sometimes she got the feeling that Kingo could see right through everything around him. But then he would be back to pretending nothing happened. She frowned, "right."
"In any case," he began again, rubbing his palms together and letting the stray sand fall onto his feet. "It's not illegal to check out your own fiance."
Thena nearly swallowed her tongue in a rush to correct him. But he looked at her expectantly. Was she going to protest that she wasn't looking? Because he was right, Gil was her 'fiance', and she should be used to 'checking him out', in his words. She flushed (with guilt, of course), "right."
"I'm sure he'd be happy to know," he winked at her.
What a menace--the whole family. Thena pulled her knees up to her chest, "no, thank you."
"Aw, come on," Kingo felt free to nudge her in good humour as she stewed in an unexpected sense of embarrassment. "He checks you out all the time."
He did not. Did he? "He does not."
"Well," Kingo definitely knew, "he is your fiance."
Thena sighed, "right."
"Look all you want--all I'm sayin'," Kingo waved his hands in the air in dismissal of it. "I've given him every opportunity to show off just for you."
Even chattier than Ajak, this one. "How kind."
Kingo took the liberty of claiming the sunscreen sitting at the top of her bag, "mind if I-?"
She glared at him.
"No?" he chuckled, already squeezing some onto his palms. "What about you? You seem like you need plenty of this stuff."
She pursed her lips at him, "even kinder."
Kingo held out his sunscreen covered palms, "here, just take some of this."
Thena just looked at him, making a face at the sunscreen practically dripping from his hands.
"Kingo, get over here!!"
Thena startled as the shout rippling all the way over to them. She had to actually turn her head and look to check if it was really Gil who had shouted it. She had never heard him so angry.
Kingo just laughed, despite even Sersi and Makkari looking at Gil like he had uttered a death threat. He rubbed his overly greasy palms together as he stood, "I'm right here, man, chill out."
Gil glared at him though, tossing the ball - a little hard - into the centre of his chest. "I'm gonna pretend I didn't see you offering to apply sunscreen for my fiance."
Thena blinked, "oh, he didn't-"
"Come on, Gil, you know I'm not the type," Kingo laughed again, although even the way he said it sounded like a tease, despite being uninterested in any and all candidates.
"I know you're not the type," Gil jabbed him in the shoulder. "But you and your abs can talk to her from over there."
"Fine, fine," Kingo continued to find great humour in the situation. He leaned back as he walked away, "but I think she's more of an 'arms' gal anyway!"
Thena looked down at her lap, more guilt flushing her cheeks pink.
"Hey," Gil crouched down beside her, tilting his head to peek under the sun hat Ajak had lent her. "You okay? I know Kingo can be...a lot."
Thena shook her head, hoping the wide brim of the hat would hide her trying - desperately - not to notice just how close he was. She could see the movement of his chest as he breathed. "He's fine, Gil."
Gil glanced back at his cousin again before leaning closer. "Kingo can come off as kind of a flirt, but he's harmless. He's really not into any of it at all, actually."
Thena nodded. She could see the definition of the muscles in his thighs.
"Do you actually need more sunscreen?" Gil asked, sounding more and more concerned for her silence. "You could have just asked me."
Thena finally looked up at him before things could go too far. "Really, Gil, it's fine."
"You sure?" he gave her a concerned look, tilting his head. "You look a little overheated."
"Maybe you're right," she muttered. Anything to end this conversation. "Maybe I should-"
"Here," Gil sat down properly, taking the magazine from her and holding it by the spine so he could fan her. "You're not really a beach person. I should have told Mom this wasn't your scene."
She smiled, in spite of the whole humiliating affair. He was so sweet. "Really, Gil, it's okay. It's nice out here, and your mother deserves some time without all of us in her hair."
"I keep telling her she doesn't have to go through this much." And that was true of both the family reunion and the 'wedding' it was turning into. Well, not a 'wedding', it really was a wedding, that was going to happen one way or another.
Thena sighed, enjoying the pleasant breeze while she could. She looked at Gil, "what about you?"
"Hm?"
"I know you put some on earlier," she turned more towards him, "but you've been playing for a while now. Do you need more?"
He stopped fanning her, and instantly she recoiled.
"Not that-"
"Yeah."
Thena blinked at him, but he had that smile on again. Maybe she was overheated. "Hm?"
"If you're offering," he shrugged, already turning his back towards her, "then yeah. It's better than asking Kingo to do it, at least."
Thena bit into her lip gently. That was a lot of back staring her in the face. "Okay...then."
Gil sat perfectly still as she put some sunscreen on her hands and began the process of applying it to his back and shoulders. He wasn't nearly as flustered by it (damn him).
This was her fiance, she tried to tell herself. There was no reason to be freaked out about the sensation of his muscles rippling under her touch as she ran her hands over him.
She really did have sunscreen on already. It was why she had no excuse for the redness in her face.

So back in October I posted some of my old DBZ art for the first time, and now here it is March and Akira Toriyama has passed away.
So I'm back with more and a story about the adventure it took my brother to get me into DBZ in the first place and why it now holds a special place in my heart.
Back when we were growing up, we weren't allowed to watch anime. It was one of the weird rules my dad set that to this day still has no explanation. At some point in middle school or early high school my brother got introduced to DBZ Abridged, and spent a few years trying to get me into it (and failing). I knew very little about DBZ but just enough that when I attempted to watch Dragonball Evolution I knew it was fucked up (also it was boring WITHOUT knowing everything).
But we'd play video games together, and after years of playing Super Smash Bros together, my brother knew the one surefire way to get me invested in SOMETHING DBZ.
And that was DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2.
The first five characters I chose from that roster to fight him as ended up being my favorites (hint: most of the art that's colored in this post is a character I picked in 2010 to play).
From there he got me interested enough to buy low priced DBZ VHS movies from Amazon (the Bardock special was $1.01 with 99¢ shipping in 2010, btw) and watch them. And then threw a Pokemon reference in Abridged he got me into watching that.
For the longest time, I was hooked on the random pieces of DBZ I could absorb, which meant watching the ever growing collection of movies we had, each new episode release of Abridged, and occasionally even watching bits and pieces of DBZ Kai. I even started collecting the manga for both DBZ and OG Dragon Ball. I didn't get around to watching the actual DBZ series until 2018 (my first watched anime series is actually FMA: Brotherhood because of this).
But it was something I shared with my brother and we had so much fun playing Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3 with each other. We've always played fighting games with random options in such a way that every first few matches we would just hit the random character button and play out whatever happened from there before finally playing as the characters we cared about. We would spend hours, especially with Budokai Tenkaichi 3, making our own tournament brackets and then playing them through. Each match would be fought by us, 1v1, and if one of the two characters was one we were good at, that person would get to play them. For matches that neither of us had a character to play, we'd flip a coin. We'd come up with our own silly rules for these tournaments and it was a blast. Once my brother almost won an entire thing as Kid Chi-Chi because he was really fucking good as her and even Omega Shenron's health advantage couldn't stop her. My brother could beat the shit out of Broly as Videl because she was so tiny it was hard to see her next to Broly.
I still don't watch a lot of anime, but DBZ is one of the four I do hold closest to my heart. And it's for a lot of reasons, like laughing with my brother as we decided to turn on The Lion Sleeps Tonight as background music for DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 instead of the game's music (starting a tradition where wheneber we play fighting games we use our own playlist of music for it instead). It's for reasons like watching Abridged with my brother whenever the new episodes would drop, and being there for the Livestream premiere of Episode 60 after finishing all of DBZ only weeks earlier. It's for reasons like seeing Dragon Ball Super: Broly in theaters twice, and being so hyped to see not only Broly on the big screen, but Bardock who's been my favorite since day one. It's for reasons like the collection of photos I have of my brother doing Ginyu Force poses on a beach in 2010, for us pretending to give Goku energy during the series' final Spirit Bomb, for being so excited to see Android 17 back in DB Super. It's one of the things that I never thought we'd care about, but that I've cared about enough from the beginning that I made all this art in 2010, during our yearly beach trip, after only being a fan for a few months (the coloring came years later though).
And yes. There is a collection of poorly written DBZ fanfics buried both on my external hard drive and box of physical stories, but they're buried forever. There is a DBZ and a Dragon Ball fanfic by me on ff.net however so if anyone wants to see if they can figure out my 11/12 year old account, this blog has enough context clues somewhere to figure it out (maybe the DBZ one will get cross posted to AO3 and backdated someday who knows).
If it werent for Akira Toriyama and Dragon Ball, my brother and I would have had one less thing to bond over, and honestly? Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Day 6
Ocean's Delight 🌊 / Possession 👻
(Featuring my OC's Buttercup, Bailey and Muffin)
Buttercup peered at Muffin and Bailey over the top of her sunglasses from underneath her large beach umbrella. Bailey was lying on her front on the beach, golden sand caked in her fur, sleeping as she sunbathed. Buttercup knew that she would have to wake her and move her into the shade of the umbrella soon enough, lying her down beside where Buttercup was reading and sneaking her little aeroplane bottles of booze to tide her over until they got home. Still, she was tried, the kind of weary tired that only came from a day in the sun.
But her attention was drawn by Muffin, who was playing in the sand, building a truly impressive sandcastle using the various buckets that were lying about from other families discarding them in the rush home. He was wearing a pair of tight, too tight boardshorts patterned with doggy bones, and his plush thighs and thick ass were almost bursting out of the seams. His belly, soft and fluffy like freshly risen dough, pooled over the waistband and hung into his lap, his many rolls of fat overlapping and jiggling with every movement.
“Butters!” he said as he turned his head. His double chin wobbled as he did, his entire soft body seeming to follow after him a second or two later, so much fat trying to catch up. Beneath the fur that covered his entire body, his belly was starting to get a little sunburnt, the jutting shelf of his upper belly which was typically used to rest his moobs and balance plates of food, was starting to pinken despite the sunscreen. “What do you think?”
She dragged her gaze away from his perky nipples and swollen breasts and glanced at his sandcastle. It was almost as tall as he was and was made from multiple towers of sand. “Wonderful, dear,” she shut her book with a snap. “Could you wake Bailey and bring the two of you into the shade, please?”
Grunting, Muffin dutifully rose to his feet and trotted over to where Bailey was resting, his belly, dragged by gravity, slapped against his thighs before it settled back against his frame. Buttercup’s eyes were drawn to the large divot left in the sand by Muffin’s ass as he moved towards where Bailey slept. “Bailey,” he lightly nudged her with his foot. “Bailey, get up. It’s too hot now, you’re going to get sunburnt.”
Bailey protested with a low mewl and rolled onto her side before stumbling upright. Her fingers sunk deep into Muffin’s body as she struggled to regain her balance, the joint she had smoked in the car hitting her hard enough for her to struggle to get on her feet. Buttercup was hypnotised by his expanse of soft, creamy flesh, his fur coated with sand, and his body marred by stretchmarks that raced up his body like tiger stripes.
When they finally returned to the shade of the large umbrella beside Buttercup, Bailey immediately curled up in a ball and fell asleep, and Muffin grunted as he carefully sat beside her, a jiggling mass of adipose. His thighs and belly and arms and moobs quaked and shook as he leaned back on his hands and sighed.
“This is nice,” he said. “Did we bring any snacks?”
“You ate them all already,” she told him, enchanted by how deep his bellybutton was at this angle. “We can go and get some ice cream later.”
“Fine,” Muffin settled down with a pout and Buttercup was mesmerised by the way his fat wobbled like the ocean receding. “I guess I can wait.”
Grinning, Buttercup put her book down so she could rest her hand on Muffin’s belly, carefully running her nails across the silky smooth skin. “You know, here I thought that we had forgotten the beachball at home, but it was so nice of you to bring it with us.”
“Hey!” Muffin spluttered as Bailey cracked an eye open just long enough to laugh. “I deserve an extra scoop for that!”

Gold coast, Australia.
Neph set up her laptop and booted up discord, smiling as she saw Katie was on. "Video chat?" She typed.
There was a delay before the reply. "Sure, is late and the girls are here, s'kay?"
Neph smirked and started the video call. "Hey Katie." She waves to the collection of heads staring back at her.
Katie blew a kiss and turned to the other seers. "Say hi girls." There was silence as Katie face palmed. "Use your voices, remember I have been over this a hundred times." There was another pause before a chorus of croaky hello's where heard. "So how is Australia?" She asked.
Neph lent back. "Pretty cool, been like a decade since I was here, but not much changed. Went to he beach.... Dad saw my tattoo and lost it till mum calmed him down. Dude bro hit on me, but Gir threw him I to the ocean... They got us yelled at." She laughs. "But Caroline.... God every animal she sees, she wants. Sees a possum, wants it. Sees a wombat, wants it. Sees a crocodile, wants it."
Katie tilts her head. "They have possums down there?"
"Same name, different animal, sort of small fluff ball, eats bugs and flowers.... Or jam treats, wait a sec." Neph did a quick image search and sent Katie a photo of a fat Possum in a bakery. "That's one, broke in and ate half the jam tarts."
Katie giggled. "That is much cuter than the over sized rat we have here."
"Might get you a plush of one... So how's things in Paragon."
"Oh the news is still a buzz about Dark Astoria, biggest joint operation between Paragon and the Isles since the Rikti War stared they say, but no one can agree on the hero or villain that stopped it."
Neph let out a sigh. "Dad will like that, he hates when the news gets in his business... Anything else?"
Katie slumped. "Still stopping the girls from making a hive mind, trying to get them to go outside, it's really hard mothering all of them, but Vanguard trusts me to do this, so I will.... Sucks that I couldn't go with you."
Neph nodded. "Well it's close to summer in Paragon, maybe we can visit the beaches in Talos?"
"I would like that a lot."
A seer poked her head into frame. "Is Gir there?"
Katie smiles. "This is Amanda, she made good friends with Gir and asks about her a lot... Is she there?"
Neph looked around. "Gir? Get your fat ass in here!"
Gir stomped in, still dressed in her swimsuit. "I am not fat, just... Well proportioned." She says, then sees Amanda on the screen. "Hi Manda, how are you." Gir shoving Neph to one side.
Neph grumped, but smiled as she heard Katie's laugh as Gir and Amanda chattered about... Ponies?
When they where finished, Neph shoved her sister back out of the way. "Nice seeing you Katie, be back in a week."
Katie blew another kiss. "Love you."
Neph blushed. "Love you too, later."

Both Sakura and Ino jumped a bit hearing the sudden, loud thud of a body hitting the hard floor. Ino was going to get up to check up on Sasuke, but he appeared before she could even get up. Seemed he was all full of life now. After he slept for so long. For a moment it looked like he didn’t believe it all happened until he laid his eyes on little Mio that was resting in Sakura’s arms. He quickly walked over to Sakura and sat next to her,
“Heh, I don’t think you have to worry about that… He seems to sleep like a rock like I do. And he just ate. He drank a lot of milk actually. Seems he has my appetite too.” Sakura blushed, it grew darker as Sasuke cupped her cheek and pulled her into a kiss. She was happy to return it, feeling even more proud than she already did when he praised her, “Don’t worry, I can heal that. I tried my best to not completely crush every bone in your hand. Even if it was tempting at times.” Some parts of the birth were a lot more brutal than others,
“I’m so happy I was able to do it here… The first new Uchiha born, right here on the compound! It just felt so much more special here.”
Sakura grinned, nuzzling her head against Sasuke’s, “Minus the pink hair, he looks so much like you, Sasuke. He’s going to have his own fangirl army when he’s older.” She softly laughed. Sakura has never seen any baby pictures of Sasuke, but just looking at Mio, she had a good idea of what he might have looked like. They had the same nose, and eye shape. She was positive Sasuke had round, chubby cheeks as a baby too.
“Here, hold your arms like I am.” Sakura instructed, aiding him to the right position before gently placing Mio into his arms. Mio only let out a small whine about being moved but otherwise seemed fairly unbothered.
“We both knew you were going to pass out, and were making bets on it. I, personally, was so sure you were going to pass out at the start of the birth. Sakura was the one with full faith in you.~” Ino teased watching the happy couple,
“You don’t have to thank me either. There was no way I was going to leave Sakura alone with a newborn right after she gave birth! It gave me time to teach her a few things I learned when I had my boy.” Unlike Sakura, who was lucky to be with a man that wanted to stay with her and raise children together, Ino accidentally had a baby with someone that had no interest in being in her son’s life. In a way, she was a little jealous of Sakura but overall, Ino was happy for her too. Both Sasuke and Sakura deserved to be happy,
“I do think you should prroobbabbllyyy apologize to Lady Tsunade though. When you passed out, your face planted right into her chest.” Sakura let out a laugh, “You’re sooo lucky you were passed out, otherwise she would have knocked you out herself for that.” She know about that personally,
“Mm, sleep sounds nice. I’m sore in places I didn’t know I could be sore in but– I was promised a victory birthday cake! And presents! It’s still my birthday! Well… Now it’s our birthday.” Sakura looked down at Mio fondly, reaching out to gently rub one of his soft cheeks as Sasuke held him,
“Though finally becoming a Mama is a hard gift to top… And Mio blessed me with the gift of no longer looking like a beach ball.”
“Aw, come on! You looked so cute pregnant!” Ino chimed in, scooting closer to wrap her arms around Sakura and rest her head against her shoulder, “Can’t wait for you to get pregnant again, so I can tease you about it all over again.~”
“Innoo!” Sakura let out a flustered whine, her face growing pink, “M-maybe in a year or two. After we get used to Mio being around… And get married! No more babies until then! I want to officially become an Uchiha! I want to be able to proudly wear the Uchiha crest!” It didn’t quite feel right doing it now, as she wasn’t actually one yet. Mio got to be one by default, as he actually had Uchiha blood in him. The three of them needed to go to the hospital at some point to fill out Mio’s birth certificate.
“Don’t worry, Sasuke. I plan on spending the night. I figured you both could use the extra set of hands. Sakura definitely needs rest after what she’s been through, and while she rests, I can teach you how to properly care for Mio when Sakura isn’t around. My parents are watching my kiddo for me.” Sakura helped her a lot when she had her baby, so she was going to return the favor,
“You’re the best, Ino!” Sakura grinned at her friend,
“I’m sure you both can figure out how to pay me back later.~” Ino teased playfully.
Sasuke opened his eyes after a few hours, feeling very groggy and foggy minded. It took him a little while to remember what had happened and where he was, and when that hit him, he bolted upright and scrambled out of bed... or at least, tried to. He ended up getting a bit tangled in the bedclothes and ended up on the floor.
If Sakura and Ino heard the noise, they didn't have too long to investigate, Sasuke was back on his feet within an instant and wrenching the bedroom door open, his eyes wide.
He thought for a moment it might have been a dream. But no, there was Sakura, Mio sleeping peacefully in her arms.
He managed a small smile as he walked over, his eyes fixed upon Mio, taking a seat next to Sakura.
"I'd say that I'm ready to hold Mio now... but I'm a bit worried about waking him up." He said, reaching out to give Mio a gentle stroke on the head, before his gaze moved upwards to Sakura. "You did great, my beautiful cherry blossom." He said, his hand moving to Sakura's cheek, cupping it gently as he lent in for a kiss. He gave a soft chuckle as the kiss broke, unable to stop himself from teasing her just a little bit. "...I think my hand only has a few fractures rather than any proper breaks~"
He rested his head gently against Sakura's, before turning his eyes to Ino. "Thanks for staying with her, Ino... Or should I be apologising to the both of you for passing out?"
His eyes moved back to Sakura once again, giving a small frown. "Do you want to get some sleep, Sakura? I'm sure I can take care of Mio if you want some rest... Ino can make sure I'm not doing anything catastrophically terrible... If she's willing to stay a bit longer, of course." He bit his lip.
