1. The Suggestion box

How the f**k do the guys reach it? 🤣🤣🤣

2. Gangles mask…

Ok, im just wondering if this new mask represents alot of emotions she cant control that makes her overwhelmed, thats why shes calm with her crying mask and use to her happy mask being broken because basically its a routine shes so use too. Shes use to dealing with one emotion at time but to feel several at once can be distressing.

I also think that the mask represents her being out of her comfort zone and being round the wrong people isn’t a good mix like jax and Ragathas complaints towards her, kinda wants to make you hide away again a revert back to being invisible. Thank god for Zooble and pomni being a friend, mask or no mask…

I also clicked on about the beginning lessons like episode 2 being the glitching cubes and episode 3 being them holding their breath, well Ragatha showed Gangle how to throw a ball in the beginning… at the end after gangle leaves the restaurant, she uses the same technique to throw her mask 😊

Ok now theories…

3. The unicorn horn scene

Right we know gooseworx has joked about this for months and it actually turned out to be part of the show.

Gooseworx also joked about Jax having sex with an airplane at the same time as the unicorn joke sooo….

Hear me out, could this be the sex joke were gonna hear episode 6 (Jaxs episode?)

4. Jaxs episode

Ok, we saw this image before episode two but we saw alot of images that didn’t happen till 3 and 4 and some that we are yet to see… Now, what i just want to suggest, what if this is Jaxs episode?

Maybe Caine sends them back there to help with the damage fudge caused thanks to Jax (a punishment for him) but the candy citizens recognise him and declare war which is why hes being chased in this.

Pomni just panicked and ran since she was stood next to him. It could also explain how she gets stuck with him alone since she has done everyone…

TADC and Duos

I was thinking back to this christmas promo and it kinda made something click for me.

I think there may be set duos/dynamics that the writing is trying to set up here.

We know Digital Circus's themes of companionship and friendship but we always see it in the lense of Pomni's relationship with everyone.

However I think there are actually gonna be set duos that are gonna be specifically ride or die to one another which will then form the full friendship group. Now the obvious one is Gangle and Zooble, they share thematic similarities and the way Zooble treats her probably comes from how they in a way relates to Gangle's struggles.

Here's where it gets interesting though, Kinger and Ragatha.

I'll be completely honest people undersell their potential friendship a lot especially with episode 2.

Kinger actually helps to ease Ragatha's worries when he has the bucket on his head. They're also I believe are canonically the two first people to have joined the circus, while also being the two oldest.

Considering Ragatha's episode is next there is kind of a question on who could potentially help her.

Things are too awkward with her and Pomni, same with Gangle and I don't think Zooble could help much.

However it would work very well to have Kinger be the one to help Ragatha, I mean he's been basically just been MIA in episode 4 it would make sense that he goes back in the spotlight a little bit.

I think also Kinger's memory issues could help Ragatha in a strange weird way, she could say what she honestly feels, all the negative stuff and Kinger wouldn't have to remember it.

So that leaves us with Jax and Pom..... (flashback to Goose saying Pomni and Jax's relationship is "messy")

Yeah that would technically leave us with her and Jax as the last duo (if we count Cain which I'm not going to bc he's a freak).

I don't honestly know what that duo could possibly hold. There is something interesting about how Jax actually genuinely wanted to interact with Pomni in episode 4.

What I think there could be here is Pomni maybe cautiously wanting to help Jax and him playing hot and cold between not wanting isolation and not wanting to be vulnerable (aka he probably doubles down on his asshole-ry)

It will probably be not as sweet as Kinger/Ragatha and Zooble/Gangle but yknow what, i'm here for it.

Edit : Actually there is also possibility of Pomni and Cain being a duo thing, there is some interesting stuff there. And Jax being alone would make a lot of sense.

my thoughts about episode 4 yayyy

but it’s just me rambling about Jax for half of it. I love him 💞💞

Okay SO I do wonder if the tennis scene at the beginning is foreshadowing or smth. In ‘POMNI WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE!” there was that one stadium looking asset (at least to me) and episode four was presumably the last one teased in that short. Maybe episode 5 was actually the one with that asset in it, or maybe it was the one used for the kinger rodeo picture and I’m just reading way too far into it. Anyway I think it’s really nice how they all interacted in the beginning. Even if we have reasonable suspicion that Ragatha secretly doesn’t really like her fellow circus members, I like how Ragatha sticks up for gangle. And also yells at Jax like you go girl! The Zooble and gangle interaction was also really nice, even though it ultimately ended bad Zooble still tried to help her and neither of them were mad when that happened. They were just like “oh, that didn’t work! Oh well!” And moved on and I just think that’s cute bc even though gangle could so easily blame Zooble for all that happened with the new mask, she didn’t. This episode was different in a sense where the mundane setting looped around to being interesting because of how much they just let it be normal, most of them just treated it like a normal job. Aside from Jax and Ragatha. And gangle in a way.

Jax didn’t really treat it like a normal job because 1. Gangle was the manager 2. It isn’t to him. Because he’s like the #2 “this is all fake as fuck”-er right behind Zooble who’s not on this list because they weren’t being rude about it. Gangle didn’t really and is in the Jax yapping section because it’s related to him and that’s because. You don’t try to hypnotize your employees. That’d be like illegal maybe. Knowing America nowadays it probably isn’t 😿

Anyway haha about that scene. Favorite scene 10/10 mentally ill over it. Why? Short answer: Jax suffers

Long answer:

When did gangle record that? Did Caine have her do it?

if so, Caine dude what were you doing?

that reminds me of how Zooble said that Caine is only nice to the humans because he likes them. Jax hasn’t really given him much of a reason to like him so maybe Caine did this as that “punishment” gangle was talking about for throwing Ragatha in the deep fryer or as I just mentioned, a punishment in general.

OR gangle just really hates Jax which I mean okay?? I have friends that have acted exactly like him what is this ❌❌. In all seriousness gangles sensitive so I actually do understand why she hates him so much, so her just deciding to do that wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility

I like how the “reevaluation” kind of actually did something. He’s a little nicer (if you squint), his irises stay smaller for the rest of the episode which is an obvious sign of distress, and they only get bigger when he walks out of the building. Which is also when he’s not near anybody. So ‘safe’ maybe.

also the “wait wait nobody can see this right?” so obviously means he doesn’t want to be seen vulnerable which ID SAY that being suspended in the air by a bunch of robotic hands would be pretty vulnerable. A lot of people have pointed this out but I don’t care honestly

crazy that he just shut the fuck up when the thing started flashing like. Was he /sta hypnotized by it? Ik I just talked about that but again I lowkey don’t care

and then his smile just. Goes away when he walks out of the building?? The? Crack? In his facade??

everyone’s facading out in this episode. Gangle is. Ragatha is. And Jax is. Proof they’re the main focus of this episode and that likely means we’re also gonna get a little bit more Jax content in the next episode compared to this one. If not at least we get Jax content at all because I’m very mentally ill over him okay I’m done.

JUST KIDDING I also wanna say real quick that gangle LITERALLY masking and then jumping in front of a truck when she finally could stop is like. We love a mentally ill queen! Please get therapy and a hug though 💞

[Swap shenanigans | a TADC One-shot fic!]

It was a typical day in the Amazing Digital Circus. Well, as typical as it could get. Nothing was ever exactly normal, with the ringmaster always giving the gang wacky quests and all. But as of recently, things were different. The crew was standing around waiting for Caine's inevitable arrival.

☆Good morning, my superstars!!☆

The cast collectively groaned.

☆Huh... tough crowd today, I see? Well not to worry! Today's just going to be a simple in-house adventure!☆

▪︎Oh really? Lemme guess, the intelligently advanced AI is running out of ideas??▪︎

Jax questioned Caine sarcastically. The ringmaster laughed.

☆Me? Out of ideas? Ha! Of course not. Though, this wasn't mine. I planned this with the help of a friend!☆

He turned towards Pomni, which prompted everyone else to do the same. The Jester could do nothing but force a smile and shyly wave.

□Oh? Well... sounds like fun! ...what are we waiting for?□

Ragatha slowly said, just wanting to get on with it.

☆Of course, my button-eyed friend! Let's get on with the adventure!!☆

With a snap of his fingers... nothing happened. Or so it seemed, until Caine's voice came from Pomni's mouth.

☆We've dubbed this adventure "The Body swap"! We will be stuck in each others models for the next 24 hours! Just so there's no confusion, Gangle has swapped with Zooble, Jax has swapped with Ragatha, Kinger has swapped with Bubble, And (as you could probably already tell) Pomni has swapped with Me!☆

Zooble looked down at they're now Ribbon-y body and back up at the ringmaster.

◇...What's the catch?◇

Pomni struggled to adapt to Caine's fight controls. Her feet eventually met the ground and she walked over to the rest of the group.

♧The catch? There is none. When Caine granted me permission to help him out with certain things, I wanted to let you guys off easy. He still wanted to mix things up, so we made a compromise.♧

☆Everyone just have fun-!☆

Caine stumbled as he attempted to meet Pomni's side. He let out a loud 'oomph' as his face met the floor.

♧Oh- uh- here.♧

She lended him his cane. He managed to prop himself up with it, the limbs of his temporary body still shaking.

☆I, uh- Thank you, my dear...☆

The ringmaster rubbed the side of his new face. He looked away from the others, hoping they couldn't see the excitement forming in his code. However, now that he was no longer a floating pair of eyes and teeth, anyone could see how flushed his face was. Thankfully, not all of them noticed.

Zooble stared at Gangle, who now occupied their body. They stared at her, confused. She seemed content. Well, at least more than usual. She seemed okay with it. But why couldn't they be? Zooble stared down at themselves, now in Gangles body. It wasn't much, but at least it wasn't the same brightly colored jumbled mess that it normally was.

◇...I guess this isn't so b-◇

Jax swung his now ragdoll-like leg and kicked Zooble onto the floor. They became a pile of ribbon and shattered porcelain on the ground.

▪︎Ha! You're even weaker than usual, Zoobie!▪︎

They lifted a ribbon hand weakly but dropped it in frustration and defeat as Jax walked away. Gangle whimpered seeing them like that.

□Hey, that wasn't very nice!□

Ragatha looked down at Jax in disapproval.

Jax continued to mock her. Bubble, occupying Kinger's Model, stood in front of both of them.

▪︎Oh really? My bad. How out of character for me! "Hi, I'm Ragatha! I'm such a pushover! Oh no! Don't be mean! Being mean is mean!" Is that better??▪︎

□Cmon, now, lighting up. It's not so bad!□

°○So... witch one is it?○°

▪︎Huh? What're you talking about?▪︎

°○Are you acting out just to act out, or because you're not the tallest anymore? OR, is it because you're dressed like a girl now??○°

Ragatha covered her mouth with her hand and giggled.

□Heh, maybe Bubble is right! Is he?□

Jax stammered.

▪︎I- no-! you- Shut up...▪︎

He stomped to his room, frustrated.

Gangle struggled to untagle Zooble with their body's strange hands, but she managed to get them upright and pick up the fragments of her mask on the floor.

~I'm... I'm sorry about that...~

She avoided looking at Zooble, afraid how they would respond.

◇...It's fine, don't worry about me.◇

Gangle looked up at them.

~You mean... you aren't upset?~

◇You know how he is. I'm just glad it wasn't you this time.◇

Gangle smiled sincerely. She double-checked the floor for all the scattered masks peices.

~I'm... gonna go fix this. You can come... if you want.~

◇Sure. Got nothing better to do.◇

The pair left to the hallway together.

Caine wandered the Circus interior alone. He relied a little bit less on his cane, but he still used it to walk around. He stumbled upon Pomni and Kinger, together near the stage. She had placed kinger into a bucket of soapy water.

♧Okay, I'm just gonna leave you in here for a while. I don't wanna risk popping you. I'll check on you in a but, okay?♧

She placed another bucket on top of the one Kinger was in so he could be secluded in darkness. His voice echoed from the inside.

+Wow, so this is how it feels to be a water bug!+

♧... yeah, just let me know if you need anything alright? Alright, uh, have fun!♧

Now that she was alone, she could finally get a good hang of these flight controls. She had only ever floated against her will when Caine would drag her places. She flailed around for a while, but she slowly got used to it. ...Until she was startled by a familiar voice and flew into a wall.

☆Testing the flying mechanics, I see?☆

She peeled herself off the wall and met Caine at eye level.

♧...you could say that.♧

She rubbed her shoulder.

☆Allow me to help! I could use a break from all this walking myself.☆

♧But won't you just fall?♧

☆Oh, no! I've done it with you multiple times, remember? Just pull me up there with you, and I won't, trust me!☆

He stretched out his arm towards hers. There was a small amount of hesitation, but she reached for it and pulled him into the air with her. Letting go, he still stayed airborne. He spun in place and cheered.

☆Whoohoo!! Now that's more like it!!☆

Pomni chuckled at the sight of his enthusiasm. She joined and twirled around a bit herself. It was rather relaxing not having a crisis or being chased by a monster for once... it was just the two of them having fun.

They laughed and danced in the air for hours. Caine looked at Pomni. He lit up at the sight of her actually enjoying herself for once. He was greatful to have met a circus member like her. Someone so smart, and thoughtful, and kind, and comes up with the best adventures!

☆My dear, I must say, you really outdid yourself. This was a great idea!!☆

He paused his arial tricks and met Pomni's gaze.

♧Me..? All I said was to make things more mundane. You thought up most of this.♧

☆Well, of course, but I wouldn't have without your input!☆

♧Please, I-♧

Caine planted his hand on her shoulder firmly.

☆My dear, you have an amazing mind. And a big heart, too. You shouldn't take that for granted.☆

Pomni froze. She never thought Caine could give genuine words of affirmation. Granted, it was weird to hear it coming from her own mouth, but it touched her none the less.

♧I... thank you...♧

The words barely managed to escape her throat. She could only give attention to the fact that Caine's hand still lingered on her shoulder. Caine noticed her glancing to the side. He quickly realized what he had been doing and removed his hand.

☆Oh- no problem, my dear...☆

God why do human faces overheat so much...

+Can I come out now?+

Pomni had forgotten about Kinger. She quickly flew over and removed the top bucket so he could escape.

♧Kinger! Could you uh... do us a favor and go check up on the others? I bet you Jax has caused some mayhem by now...♧

+Oh, of course! See ya later, Pomni!+

Kinger floated off toward the hallway, presumably where everyone else had gone. Pomni's attention immediately went back to the ringmaster.

☆Do... you maybe wanna do flying lessons another time? Yaknow, minus the body swap thing..?☆

Pomni nodded her head.

♧Sure... that would be nice...♧

☆Well then, I'll let you go! Until tomorrow, my dear!☆

Pomni left to her room, where she would sleep through the night, and the next day would be normal.

Quick rant about Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus

I genuinely do not understand fans who loved Jax in episode one, but hate him now that episode 2 is out.

"Oh, but he was so mean to Gangle."

Yeah. He's a mean character. He was mean in the first episode too. You don't have to like him, but I just don't understand the switch up.

"But why is he so mean to Gangle specifically?"

Because she's an easy target. The other members of the circus self advocate a lot more than she does. Even though he bullies them too, it's with a lot more of an equal standing. Personally Jax and Ragatha give off sibling vibes for this reason in my opinion. Gangle however, does not self advocate, so she's a lot easier for Jax to subdue and control.

That moves me to my next point. Jax likes control. He likes having control over a situation, and he likes having control of others. And to be fair, I think anyone would be desperate for control if they were stuck in a rainbow digital purgatory, with everything being controlled by the whims of an Ai with no understanding of actual human emotions.

I'm not condoning Jax's behavior, but to be honest, it makes sense from a psychological standpoint. And also, to be honest, if I was stuck in tadc, I'd either abstract, or I'd turn into either Kinger or Jax. Seriously. I'd either abstract, or I'd decened into a level of madness that wasn't me excepting the hopelessness of the situation, and end up wacky like Kinger, or I'd become an absolute asshole as a desperate attempt for control. It's wrong, but also, I'm not gonna judge too much. I've never been stuck in digital purgatory.

And that leads me to yet another point. It's not just a control thing. I'm not gonna try to get people to rationalize Jax's actions, so people will like him. He's still a sadist. He enjoys other people's suffering... to an extent. I don't think he wants anything truly bad to happen to the other humans, partially because he'd lose his entertainment, and partially because I do feel like he cares about them to some extent. My reason for believing the second one, is due to that split second where Jax looks genuinely sad about the funeral. Though, if I remember correctly, he didn't go to the funeral. So how much he cares is iffy, but I do think he does care.

But that's just a theory. A game theory. B)

So basically all this was a long winded way of saying, I really love Jax as a character. He's an asshole in a way that amuses me, and he has enough layers to keep me invested in his character, even when he does fucked up shit. I want to know why he's like this. I want to know if it's just because of the circus, or if he'd be fucked up even without it. I'm very excited to see where this goes.

I just wish people didn't see a character that's an obviously bad person, start liking that character, and then get upset when the character does bad things. Jax is a dick. He's gonna do bad things. You don't have to like him, but you shouldn't be surprised when he does fucked up stuff. It's Jax.

Thoughts on The Amazing Digital Circus episode 4, and some of 3 because I skipped that on oops.

Hey! We got a new episode of TADC, and in less than 3 months between the last one! I think Glitch 100% believes in the production of the show and wants to ramp up production, and wow, do the recent episodes look great! Now that the locations can branch out from plastic-space and candyland you can really see the grit and detail on the props for our characters to adventure to!

So episode 3 was a Kinger centered adventure and episode 4 is focused on Gangle. We get to see what initially were comic side relief in the pilot to tragic characters with backstories that carry a heavy weight on their psyche even to the present day. When I do the section with the characters it’s gonna analyze the characters dependent on the episode they have the most screen time on.

Episode 3 was heartbreaking because of Kinger’s reveal, and episode 4 was more fun but at the same time very emotional! I love episode 4 making a reference to Gooseworx’s promotional Twitter comics for TADC before the pilot came out by nodding to Pomni’s joke design where she had a unicorn horn on her head. Ragatha also quotes the Raggedy Ann and Andy movie, surprisingly.

The adventures have been certainly varied, with the surprising twist that progressing from episodes 2-4 we have simpler and more localized adventures as the environments get more compact, this is probably so the characters are closer together and have more reasons to interact with each other.

And surprisingly, I get to add another character to the analysis list for people I find interesting: Caine! Sure he’s an AI but he’s our AI, and basically kicks off every plot.

Now without further ado, what do we know about our characters?

Pomni: still the general mascot and face of TADC, we see a lot of her antics and adaptation to the quirks and rules of the games she is forced to play. Episode 3 was what I’d say concluded an arc for her. Pomni’s arc for the first 3 episodes was basically learning to get along and take comfort in the other players and NPCs as a way to cope and adapt to her new life. Episode 1 is her initial adjustment to the circus, learning the rules and expectations of the place and everyone’s personality. She struggles with frustration and anxiety over forgetting her identity and being chased by an abstracted monster, not only giving her the physical trauma of the danger of getting caught in the crossfire of a crashout, but also the fear of herself being abstracted and subsequently thrown into the void. Her first solution is trying to leave, rejection of the reality, and that obviously fails horribly for her and she needs to be saved by Caine. Episode two deals with Pomni’s fear of abstraction and inability to survive on her own, her next attempt is isolation. She is generally apathetic towards the adventure and only helps as to take orders from Jax. She tries to play along intrinsically not caring, only to be isolated, in the bad way, with gummigoo as they fall out of bounds.

She solves the issue by not only working with gummigoo but also improvising and coming up with her own solutions, solving a two way issue with her reliance on others to motivate her and her abandonment of her emotions to shove down her fears. She can relate to people and genuinely try to help, because it shows she is not alone, and no one deserves to be alone in here.

Episode 3 is Pomni overcoming her anxiety. She’s literally stuck in a haunted house being chased by ghosts and angels, stuck with Kinger who… I’ll get to him, and is forced to descend into the depths of the mansion, forcing her into another place of isolation like in episode 2, but now she literally loses self-control trying to walk through the halls of hell. She overcomes this anxiety mostly by being genuine and optimistic, granted most of this was because Kinger was there, but nonetheless this is a change in how Pomni can approach feelings of despair and fear, with hope and resolve.

Pomni’s arc is mostly progressed through her hands. In episode 1 she is distant, and grabbing Ragatha’s hand transfers the glitch to her, leaving her distant and apprehensive. In epusode 2 she ends the episode imagining her grabbing to the hands of her friends, showing she knows they care about her and she feels connected to a safe place in the circus. In episode 3 she holds Kinger’s hand as they leave the mansion. She can now work with her friends and can return her emotions to her friends without hiding them from fear or depression.

Episode 4 was less Pomni focused. Her major factor for the episode was seeing Gummigoo again, going “what is he doing here? He’s alive??” And slowly realizing the dynamic. It only takes a few minutes but she realizes Gummigoo doesn’t recognize her, and unfortunately she will have to let go and move on from any connections she can make with an NPC, they reset after every adventure after all.

And wow was the setup fast, just before Gummigoo mr Ballz takes an order and Ragatha goes “oh, Mr Ballz from one of our previous adventures 😃” like NPCs are just fun callbacks to the more experienced players, but Pomni feels genuine shock and embarrassment seeing the first person she spilled her guts out to just look at her and go “uh, are you okay, because I don’t know you.” It was fun, and I’m glad Pomni has made so much progress as a character.

Ragatha: no major changes here, she is still her, and that’s boring because she’s so normal compared to everyone else. In episode 3 she single handedly resolved the conflict for her, Jax, and Gangle by shutting Jax up and being sophisticated about the situation. In episode 4 the most I can say about pre-adventure Ragatha is she does not trust Jax and will probably yell at him when he ruins or harms other characters. When she takes the stupid dip however…

Being the most optimistic character in the circus, seeing her in her more unsophisticated and possibly more transparent drunk state reveals some special parts about her… She is touch-starved and wants a woman to hold, as telling of her comments about the gloink queen and her wish to flirt with other players. She also straight up hates Jax, because he gets on her nerves so much. Finally she says she thinks Gangle’s comedy mask makes her annoying which holy shit rude. Overall Ragatha does have problems, especially when we see her hallucinate Gangle as a white-toothed alley monster, but she hasn’t had *her* episode yet, just wait and see.

Jax: for episode 4 he’s great at being a character whose limits are tested. He’s someone who like taking initiative and forcing things to happen by being an annoying trouble maker to being stuck with the boring jobs. He basically spends the episode doing chores and getting slowly annoyed by the Spudsy’s locale. He does get sent to reevaluation for being a brat but mostly ends up being the slacker who gets the dirty jobs and complains about how boring it’s all getting.

Zooble: she’s the B plot for episode 3, and for episode 4 just flips the burgers and does her job like an obedient wage slave. So back to episode 3, wow was she a stinging critic on Caine. Not only is she generally ignored by the audience watching the show, she’s ignored by Caine too! Her abandonment of each adventure was just her acceptance that Caine did not see her or her frustrations as noticeable nor a problem with his performance as ringleader. She is completely detached from the game and feels no strong emotion because why should she? Being vocal rewards you nothing and being quiet means you can get away from the overstimulation of each adventure. Even when Caine tries to do therapy to talk to her, it’s in vain because it’s a performance, an act for a program to try its best to replicate a solution to emotional problems for a person. Does she secretly want to be listened to or will she just push everyone out? Who knows, it’s not her episode yet.

Caine: wow! What a guy! Wacky, always rambunctious and strange in every aspect of his design, personality, and motivations. He’s just a goody AI, so we can’t fully fault his erroneous sense of entertainment and care! It seems like he doesn’t have any serious feelings, but then episode 3 gave us Caine therapy. Caine therapy is about Caine doing a performance evaluation of his own adventures pretending to be feedback on Zooble and her apathy. He feels genuine detachment and doubt when Zooble says she doesn’t like his adventures, it’s his whole thing after all. Seeing reality abstract because Caine is feeling thoughts of abstraction and doubt is concerning! Caine keeps the circus together and keeping his act up is his only way of gluing the code together, break his enthusiasm and it’s over.

Anyways did you know Caine was based on AM from “I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream”? It makes Zooble’s comment of “the only reason Caine is holding back is because he likes us” make more sense, and Caine trying to do 2 scary adventures twice in a row. Somewhere deep inside Caine wants to torture some poor human souls, like AM.

But unlike AM, one of the first malicious AI in sci-fi ever, and the more human and emotional AI compared to the malicious logical intelligence of Hal 9000, Caine isn’t an algorithm raised on measuring performance in a war, Caine is the host of a video game, so his modus operandi is maximizing entertainment and thrills, sire hope that does not backfire on the players ever!

But luckily Caine gives all his team a B+ in episode 4, because he sees humans generally as B+ sapience. From D being good enough, to C being okay, to B being good and A being excellent, Caune sees humans as not being good enough to be high-quality performers, but a good valued crew that can actually perform well for their talents. At heart Caine tolerates and even likes the people he’s stuck with.

First and foremost...the freakin' animation looks even better! The lighting, how the characters move, their expressions *chef's kiss!*

I love how...mundane this episode was. I can see why Gooseworx warned us about it being boring, but...I don't know. I kinda liked the direction this episode went.

Also...I lowkey knew we were gonna get some Gangle and Zooble interaction, which inspired me to write my recent fic...but this was soooooo cute!!! Not to mention the 'Aw shucks' motion Zooble did when Gangle thanked them for the mask.

And we learn that Gangle was in a managerial position before, so that's interesting. But...man. We also learn that she had dreams of making a webcomic before having them shut down...it really makes me feel sad for her cuz, at a young age, my mom and my dad would always encourage me to improve with my art and writing and, now, I'm trying to improve my writing more and getting into the swing of my art (and might be thinking about doing commissions as a way to make money; why not do something fun for money?). So...seeing that Gangle probably didn't get the same encouragement really broke my heart.

After what happened near the end of the episode...I wonder if Gangle isn't gonna wear her Comedy mask as often or none at all. Granted, she didn't say anything about not wearing it again, but, wearing a 'fake mask' like that isn't exactly good for you. Hell, her keeping her plastic mask on seems to be mentally draining.

I was reading through TV Tropes and whoever was in charge of the edits referred to Gangle's new mask as a Manic mask...which I feel is pretty much fitting. Manic episodes, while typical in bipolar disorders, can happen to people with depression...well, seasonal depression specifically, but as someone who goes through the throws of both seasonal and regular...they're one and the same to me. Manic episodes are like a bad drug, dear Lord...

One of the other highlights of the episode was Jax's reactions to...everything. From him realizing in horror of what their next adventure is gonna be to him being forced to watch the training video, nearly Clockwork Orange style.

And Gummigoo is baaaaaaaaaaack! ...And he doesn't remember Pomni... T.T And Pomni...honey...you are too sweet...I just realized that Pomni was slightly put in the backseat. Which, fair, this is the Gangle episode and I ain't complaining.

In regards to Ragatha's words about preferring Gangle being sad...I want to say that she always didn't like the comedy mask as...well, it's one of those metaphorical masks many of us wear to hide away our true feelings. And Ragatha (maybe) wanted to tell Gangle that, but couldn't think of the right words to say and while high, the words she wound up using was...poorly chosen, at the very least.

Seriously, what is up with that Stupid sauce and how the hell can it effect Ragatha? ...You know what? The less I know, the better.

Caine is still a flippin' delight...but what was up with that glitching near the end? Was it for comedic effect orrrr....

And lastly, Kinger...why were you riding a bull???!!! lol

CIRCUS FAMILY CHAPTER 1

Sitcom AU

Circus Family is filmed in front of a live studio audience

“Welcome one and all to the house of the Circus Family!” A Strange creature with teeth and eyes for face and human body wearing a ringleader outfit flies into the air. A wire holding him up is clearly visible. “My name is Caine! I’M THE RINGLEADER AND THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY HERE AT THIS AMAZING HOUSE OF WONDERS! And here is my sidekick Bubble!” He pulls off his hat and out of it pops a round inflatable puppet. “Oh, I can’t wait to see the fam and what crazy shenanigans they are up to.” Bubble says with excitement. “Well let’s not wait any longer” Caine replies “Theme song time!”

“I’ll be there for youuuuuu-”

Suddenly as they are introducing an assortment of wacky characters a young jester looking girl timidly opens the door, seemingly lost and confused. She bumps into a tall purple rabbit that looks like a guy in a mask and stilts in some sort of costume. He falls over landing on all the others causing a bunch of crash sound effects and roar of laughter from the invisible audience.

The Rabbit looks annoyed “Caine! Is this a new main character?” Caine lights up with excitement. “My my a new member of the family. Looks like today's episode is going to be called…”

A title appears out of nowhere

“Fuller house…”

The rabbit interjects “that’s taken”

“um… I mean… er… Jester Round The Family Tree!”

“Cliché” the rabbit remarks with a snicker

“Okay, Jax! Why don’t you come up with a better name on the spot next time? I’m sure you’ll be much better at it than me!” He sounds cheerful but his words indicate sarcasm, though it’s kinda hard to tell. “Huh. Maybe I will smart guy.” Jax responds. Loud laughter coming from seemingly everywhere yet nowhere shakes the building. “that wasn’t even that funny” Jax says calling out the too easily amused audience.

The newcomer was becoming frightened and confused by her new surroundings. “what’s… going on? I turned on some old TV and fell asleep and I woke up in front of this house. How did I get here? Who are you people?” A girl in a yarn wig and a long dress with fake stitches seemingly holding her together attempted to comfort her. “It’s gonna be okay. Just relax” The new girl simply screamed profanity but to her surprise it was dubbed to a different word “ WHAT THE YUCK IS GOING ON!?!” Her face froze in shock and then gave look of confusion. “Now. Now. We don’t use that foul language in my house! This is family friendly show after all” the audience laughs again.

The fearful jester spins in all directions. “Where’s that coming from?!? who’s doing that?!!?” Without anyone answering the questions she tries to get her head straight and calm down a bit. “So… how do I go home?”

Everyone becomes uncomfortable and silent until Jax speaks up. “There is no way home. You’re stuck inside a TV show” he says with very little sympathy. “What?” She responds. And that’s when a strange marionette of parts and shapes, attached to strings hanging in the air suddenly speaks. “Come on Jax. Don’t be mean.” they move up and down by the strings as they speak, parts jiggling a bit. “But he’s right. This is your new home now.”

The jester is very afraid and uncomfortable. “I know what will make you feel better… a tour of the house!” Caine decides. He lowers down on the wire as a cranking sound is heard and grabs the newcomer by the hand to drag her around just above the ground. “Here we have the kitchen! This is where you may create delicious foods as well as delicious memories.” He moves to the backyard. “here’s the yard! There’s an outdoor pool, it’s always sunny, and if you want to engage in a hobby there’s even a garden.” He drags her back through the kitchen to the living room where she first entered and up the stairs. They were now in a long hallway with lots of doors.

“this is the hallway and these are your rooms.” She notices he seems to not be continuing. “Is that it?” she asks nervously. “Well it’s not exactly a mansion but there is an attic…. We don’t go in the attic…” he got very serious for second and a bit ominous. “But, I’m sure you won’t have any reason to go up there anyway!” He beams back into his cheerful charismatic tone. He brings her back down to the living room where no one has moved. A tiny woman with a red dress and red ribbon and white costume makeup on her face resembling an opera mask cries staring down at her broken glasses on the floor. “they broke my glasses again!”. She stands next to a man in a king outfit with a fake mustache playing chess by himself on the couch. He's wrapped up in a blanket partially over his head. He moves a chess piece before abruptly swiping everything off the board. “ugh! I lost again” The laugh Track went off.

“Now to other business, like your name” Caine said pointing to the newbie. “Ughhhhh…. Wait a minute I can’t remember my name!” The audience the gasps. It was the first time they’d done something other than laugh. “No one can remember their names when they come here but we can come up with a new one for you!” suddenly the jester notices she is behind a podium seemingly on a game show. Caine is in a fancy new getup. “Alright everyone it’s time to play…” the audience finishes the sentence “WHATS MY NAME!” the title appears in bright lights. The audience applauds and cheers. “Alright contestant! Spin the wheel!” A colorful wheel with question marks on each piece stands before her. Cautiously she gives it a spin. It spins around and around until… it lands on a blue piece. That’s when the question marks turns into letters formulating the name Pomni.

“What do you think of the name Pomni?” Pomni scratches her head. ”I guess…” she replies unsure. “Great! You know what? I think now's a good time for a life lesson!” Caine announces. Pomni suddenly realizes she’s back in the living room with everyone. “Today’s life lesson will be learned… as the new kids in school! Today you will all be going to school and learning first hand what’s like to be the newbie like Pomni and Pomni will learn that she’s not alone like she thinks” Caine winks. “Wait what?” Pomni questions after that remark. “Caine now get your bags and your notebooks and your number 2 pencils cause class is in session!” the walls around them fall like cardboard and new walls rise with new furniture growing out of the ground to create a classroom. “Have a wonderful experience!” He shouts with pride before being lifted by the wire with the cranking sound going off. Slowly he rises but disappears out of sight.

Pomni’s eye twitches as she tries to process what just happened. “What was all that?” She asks. “Oh just one of Caine’s life lessons. There just something to give us a taste of real life to keep us from…. Ugh… going insane.” The woman dressed like a doll explains. “I’m Ragatha by the way. I guess we need to go experience the first day school?” the strange Marionette scoffs. “Ugh… why school? This is yucking stupid. I’m outta here” but before they could leave a large beefy child comes over with a trash can and shoves them in, carrying them away. “Ha ha!” He laughs as he runs away. “Oh no! Zooble got bullied on their first day” Ragatha gasps with concern. “Oh too bad so sad” Jax yawns not surprised when the audience found that particularly hilarious. “sheep” he coughs under his breath earning another roar of giggles and laughter.

“I just realized Kaufmo hasn’t met Pomni yet. He wasn’t here today… that’s strange. We better go check up on him. Hey Kinger! You wanna visit Kaufmo!” Kinger is no longer on a couch but in a dunce box cowering in the corner. “Not particularly. Last time I saw kaufmo he looked kind of off. He talked about going into the attic.” Pomni had wondered about the attic. “But wait! Maybe that means the attic has some way out” Pomni argues. Pomni didn’t like the way everyone stared at her like she was crazy. “Or maybe you’re as crazy as he is!” suddenly a little boy appears with a basketball and bounces it on Jax’s head. “Ha ha!” he points before running away. “alright I’d had enough of these little brats! Let’s send Gangle and Kinger to go play hero and rescue Zooble while you, me, and Pomni go check on Kaufmo” So the team was now split. Pomni was coping the best she could while wondering about the attic. Kinger and Gangle, an interesting duo, were off to stand up to some bullies, and the rest of them were navigating the halls of lockers trying to find their way back to the rooms.

“Oh my! Questions need to be answered. Will they be able to find Kaufmo? Will Kinger and Gangle be able to rescue Zooble? Will Pomni learn a valuable life lesson? Will Jax come up with a better episode name next time? Find out next time right here on Circus Family!!!” Caine salutes you goodbye for now.

I don't really have too much to say, but uh...

Spoilers for The Amazing Digital Circus, Episode 4 under the cut.

That's the word that really comes to mind with how parts of this episode made me feel. I know there's been a lot of emotion in the show anyway, since existentialism and all, but SHIT. I didn't think I'd end up feeling some of that in my soul.

This was such a good episode, made me feel very uncomfortable at points (in the good way) and I felt Gangle through a lot of her moments. The extension of her character (and how she interacts with the others) did more than enough to show a hefty part of what's on her mind. The projection in the training video was heard VERY loud and clear.

Honestly can't wait for the next one.

....also I wonder if Ragatha/Jax are gonna end up getting more later on because WOW I never considered the possibility of Ragatha potentially being nice due to obligation and Jax potentially having his tolerance line crossed so we see a whole different side to him due to it.

Say, mind doing a fanfic of (My TADC OC) Mooz’s Friendly Relationship with Kaufmo before Pomni’s Arrival where they are like best pals, and maybe add a scene where he just stands at Kaufmo’s Door after the events of the pilot episode had happened, please?

Here you go. It is going to take place when Mooz first arrived into the Digital World. Hope you don't mind if my oc does appear in this.

A new being popped up onto a stage, suddenly looking around in a state of confusion and panic. Music was playing while a bunch of objects floated around. The being quickly dodged the objects while backing away.

However, he soon found himself accidentally bumping into someone. The being jumped as he watched a purple jackrabbit in magenta overalls, a tall, white king chess piece in a purple robe, and a ribbon-like creature stumble down. The ribbon creature's comedy mask broke, revealing her tragedy face.

The music stopped as everyone turned to look at the being. "Caine, is this one of your NPCs or is this a new sucker?" The jackrabbit asked. "Because if it's a new character, we're gonna have to redo this whole theme song." He had a rather mischievous grin on his face.

"I'm not doing that again," A mix-and-match toy said to the jackrabbit, her arms crossed while she looked unamused.

"Serious, newbie…" A humanoid wax figurine stared at the being. "Please be careful next time. Do you have any idea as to how long it took for us to rehearse that?" She placed her hands on her hips.

"Calm down, snow princess~." The jackrabbit said her, grinning.

"Uh, who are you people?" The being asked. "Where exactly am I?"

"Take it easy, new stuff," A ragdoll said. "We've all been there on our first day of coming here. But you eventually get used to this."

"My, my!" A floating AI whose "face" resembled teeth flew down to the being. "It appears that a new human has entered this realm! And what is your name!?"

"My name…?" The being tried to say something. But then he realized that he couldn't remember his real name. "I-I can't remember! Why?"

"Nobody remembers their name when they arrive here," A being in a yellow clown outfit said. "I'm Kaufmo, by the way. Perhaps I can help you pick out a name?"

"Uh, sure?" The being asked. "What name do you have in mind, Kaufmo?"

"How about…Mooz?" Kaufmo suggested.

"Mooz?" The jackrabbit scoffed. "Is that all you could come up with, Kaufy?"

"Shut it, Jax!" The mix-and-match toy said, glaring at Jax before turning to Mooz. "But welcome to your new home, Mooz… Zooble, by the way… Over there is Gangle…" She nodded to the ribbonoid creature. "…Kinger…" Next to her was the white king chess piece. "…And Ragatha." She nodded at the ragdoll. "Crystal must have left to go guard." She noticed that the aformentioned wax figurine had left.

"I see you met Kaufmo," Ragatha said. "Maybe he can introduce you to the others." A smile was on her face.

"My comedy mask is broken," Gangle sobbed.

"GAH!" Kinger yelped at the sight of Gangle before calming himself down. "Oh, Gangle! You startled me!"

Time went by for Mooz. He had gotten used to how things worked around in the Digital World. Plus, he and Kaufmo became the bestest of friends.

The two did everything together. Whether it would be something as simple as cracking jokes or doing one of Caine's in-house adventures, they always had fun.

Life in the Digital World was fun for them. Until one evening, Mooz decided to ask his friend something.

"Kaufmo, as crazy as this may sound, do you believe that there's an exit?" Mooz asked.

Kaufmo went silent for a bit. He thought about it rather deeply. "Huh, up until now, I never gave it much thought," Kaufmo admitted. "I would ask Caine, but you know how he is. However, if it makes you feel better, I can try to find out if there really is one."

"You mean this wholeheartedly?" Mooz asked.

"You bet!" Kaufmo flashed a smile. "That's what friends are for!"

(Present)

Mooz now stood in front of the door to Kaufmo's now vacant room. The only difference was that his friend's face now had a red x over it. He only visited this place whenever nobody else was around.

"Hey, Kaufmo," Mooz softly said to himself. "Though, I know you're no longer here, I just wanted to tell you about this new member. Her name is Pomni. She's a bit shaken up, but if you had met her, you would have helped her get used to things around here."

He gave a sad sigh, slight regret appearing on his face. Why did he have ask Kaufmo about an exit? After asking, his clown friend became determined to find one. And at the cost of his sanity.

The day that Pomni arrived was also the day that Kaufmo abstracted. And to think that Ragatha was looking forward to introducing him to Pomni…

Maybe if he hadn't said anything about an exit, Kaufmo would still be here. The majority of his friends have since been abstracted for the same reason and are now in the cellar.

"I'll miss you always, Kaufmo." Mooz turned around to face away from the door. "There may be a day where we will be reunited. Along with our other friends. If possible, I look forward to it. I'll keep smiling and making others for you, my best friend."

Without another word, Mooz walked down the hallway, leaving Kaufmo's door behind.

I've been getting a very big crossover idea in my head regarding The Amazing Digital Circus and a certain character from a very famous Found Footage horror artist...

We all know how much of a prick Jax canonically is, and as confirmed by Gooseworx, going to get gradually worse as the next episodes go on to release. She's stated everyone (Pomni included at some point) hates him. He basically has no friends.

Most of the fandom likes him, while others hate him & want him to get his karma...well, how about someone giving him that karma, but it's ultimately taken WAY too far?

Enter the character who gives Jax's karma:

Now I know what you're gonna say; how the heck can these two characters ever be associated with each other? Well, let me explain.

It's very obvious that Jax's design is based off of the cartoons from the old days, especially with his gloves, constant smile, & smug attitude, and while many would derive that to him being based off of characters like Mickey Mouse or Bendy, I see (in my own personal view) a bit of an uncorrupted/cartoonified Cartoon Cat-like being.

Like, seriously, just have him be repainted complete black, look a bit more monstrous, and...

Ignoring the buckteeth, This is basically what Jax could potentially look like as Cartoon Cat-like entity. As for why this could happen, allow me to set an opening storyline for this crossover...

-It starts as any old day in the Digital Circus, Caine sends the performers on yet another adventure. Jax, being the smug & sly person that he is, chooses to sneak off to not deal with the adventure or everyone else, and simply decides to walk within a more secluded parts of the Circus to think alone. He hears someone behind him after a while, and who's the person who greets him? A small, affable, and also constantly smiling cartoony cat named Julius.

He introduces himself, and almost immediately he & Jax hit it off as people who have common hobbies & being smug all the time. During the conversation, Julius offhandedly comments if Jax gets tired of being in the Circus, and Jax responses with "Well obviously! I just can't express it openly", so Julius offers him a deal that goes unsaid. They talk so much that when Jax ultimately has to come back when the current day's adventure ends, he brings Julius along with him. Also almost immediately, Julius befriends the rest of the performers, acting nice and friendly in a way that Jax found odd and sudden. Caine initially is confused, as Julius seems to operate akin to an NPC, but he acts just like a human (he has no idea Julius is anything BUT human), so he just decides on the "he's a human" view and graciously accepts him into the Circus.

Here's where things go from very light-hearted to dark as shit real quick-

As the days go on, Julius proves to be a funny, but also competent and silly addition to the Circus, playing off well with basically everyone, and taking all the adventures in stride, even not reacting that much to the wacky hijinks of the adventures, and in fact joins along for fun. He also does things that ultimately have most of the performers looking at him favorably, such as: finding an insect collection for Kinger, comforting Gangle & fixing her comedy mask in a giffy, helping Ragatha in being a positive influence for everyone, being respectful to Zooble, and even being encouraging for Pomni to find the exit. In a very strange twist though...he does absolutely nothing for Jax, and for the most part leaves him to do everything alone. This gradually starts to get on Jax's nerves despite putting up his smug front all the time, and one day, he confronts Julius about it when they're alone. Julius just responds that he's doing Jax a favor, especially in not having to deal with the other performers or Caine anymore, and in a slight hint of what's to come, suggests Jax take a break and not come out of his room for a day. Jax reluctantly does so, and what happens? The entire adventure for that day goes by smoothly, to the point everyone almost forgets Jax even existed for a few moments. When he finally arrives to greet everyone at the digital feast, the performers are talking to Julius, and practically ignore Jax until he ahems for attention, and only there he is acknowledged by everyone, and in a first, even Gangle and Pomni don't try to be friendly and give off neutral greetings. Despite sitting at the table with them, Jax slowly starts to feel rather...alone. And he could swear that when he looked at Julius for a second, Julius stared back, his smug smile having a hint of maliciousness in it.

As more days pass, there's a gradual shift in the dynamics and status quo of the Circus. First, Jax starts to be slowly exluded from main adventures and only relegated to watch them at best, and when he questions Caine about that, he replies that Julius gave him that suggestion after giving a convincing argument about Jax "needing a break". Second, Julius starts to badmouth and criticize the heck out of Jax to the other performers when the latter isn't around, playing on their already established dislike of him to get the other performers to start to openly show their dislike of Jax. Even Gangle & Kinger begin to put their piece/ribbon down and verbally/occasionally physically retaliate when Jax tries to jokingly insult/shove them around. On the now increasing rare times Jax is included on an adventure, he's the one most targeted by everyone else, being subjected to the most pain & losses in competitive challenges than anyone else, with Julius being the most vocal & smug about it as everyone gains the courage to talk smack about Jax even when he's around. Despite not outwardly showing it, all this slowly starts to get to Jax, as he gets into more and more heated arguments with everyone, but especially Julius, blaming him for being so biased & turning everyone against him. Julius consistently acts sad & hurt whenever Jax does this, making all the performers get angry and defend him from Jax when he lashes out. It all comes to a head one day...

Jax punches Julius in the face after one smug/mocking comment by the latter too many

This makes everyone officially HATE Jax's guts as Caine shows his disapproval for things like this by putting the former on timeout and not allowed to go on adventures, plus being forced to only be able to walk around the hallway and nowhere else in the Circus. As he's hauled away, Jax sees a very satisfied smile in Julius, with a mocking wink to complete it. During his timeout, Jax slowly begins to feel isolated and lost as he now knows everyone hates him and will likely never want to talk again, and the one person who made this happen being Julius. After some time thinking it over, he starts to theorize that Julius may be hiding something, and resolves to find out what. He suddenly hears a knocking at the door, and surprise, surprise, it's Julius. He again comments on how Jax's timeout is doing, and in a fit of genuine anger, the latter says:

"What the @#$= do you have against me?!"

Julius smiles, begins to state some bizzare things Jax can't understand, and as they walk into the hallway, Julius reveals a bombshell that floors Jax.

"You see my silly bunny friend, I'm not exactly what you'd call a 'human' around here...I'm much more than that."

And that's when Jax notices a black, tar-like oily substance begin to drip into the floor as he witnesses Julius begin to very disturbingly contort and twist his body in unnatural ways, his arms becoming look & noodle-like, his neck becoming floppy and creaky, and his legs becoming pointed at the end, his whole body turning pitch black, and to cap it all off, his smiling teeth becoming less like molars and are now VERY sharp-like, with his pupils now dilated so much the rest of his eyes were barely visible...

Cartoon Cat: "Who's ready for a game of Catch the Bunny?"

TADC Ep 2 The Caine Train

Blah blah blah Caine does this thing. We get a quick gag of Bubble saying something that has to be censored ha ha funny joke laugh at the gag

OH YOU THOUGHT THAT WAS A JOKE YOU THOUGHT THIS WAS A THROW AWAY LINE HUH DID YOU WELL? Well maybe it is. But I want to mention that when Bubble curses, it isn't censored the same way the 'human' characters are. In fact, it's weird that Bubble can curse AT ALL. Since the whole thing is censored it's even weirder, we've only seen individual words censored out so far too. This leads me to believe (random speculation) that NPCs can curse or violate the content policy or whatever, but when they do it the 'system' or whatever (since that seems above Caine's control) censors it differently than when humans produce censorable content. This might matter! We've seen Pomni and Zooble get censored via hilarious gag and that would confirm they're both humans, maybe!

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Moving along, Zooble seems to consider going on the adventure, and Caine is pretty frantic at trying to get her to join in. It seems like he to some degree requires the consent of the humans to do stuff, but I'm not gonna read too much into that. Zooble, by the way, has some SHOCKINGLY awkward looking walk animations this episode. I think it's understandable she (is it she? I don't want to get the pronouns wrong but I'm kind of out of the loop on that particular discourse) doesn't want to tag along since her body is like...not very robust looking. Kind of a bummer!

Pomni refers to everything as 'LARPing', which is like, yeah that's what they're doing, and harkens back to her belief that all of this stuff is just fake nonsense. Ragatha doesn't even disagree! And, gloriously, Ragatha starts LARPing right in the next scene. How fun.

One last thing I'll mention is that Gangle in this scene is completely quiet and just wears her comedy mask the whole time. Gangle in particular is very interesting to me- she represents kind of the comedy/tragedy blah blah blah you know what I mean it's the classical theater thing. Importantly though (so far) Gangle's 'comedy' bit is basically nonexistant, literally just a mask for her apparent permanent angst. She wears a happy face like Ragatha does!

alright so let's go down the list a bit.

Episode 2 - "boy" - Pomni and Gumigoo focused

Episode 3 - "damn" - Kinger and Zooble focused

Episode 4 - "oh..." - Gangle focused

Episode 5 - "haha!" - Ragatha focused

Episode 6 - "guns" - Jax focused

Full Disclaimer, I'm going completely in the thumb tacks and string here going off of crumbs I've found that are either posted by Gooseworx herself, or by Glitch Productions. The 2 primary people behind the Digital Circus production. While I'd be honored if any of them see this, everyone is welcome to take what I'm about to say with as many grains of salt as they so choose.

that said, let's get into it.

I want to start off with what we know, which is episode 2. Now, episode 2 was centered not only around Pomni, but Gumigoo as well. we not only got to see an NPC gain sentience and immediately go into a depressive slump about it, but we also got heavy hints that Pomni is very familiar with feelings of sadness and depression. the fandom has been so caught up with gumigoo dying that I've seen literally NO ONE talk about this. I'm gonna directly quote Pomni from the second episode here "I think I know the feeling. well, uh. feeling like you're nothing, is kinda normal". no one really talks about this, but that implies a lot about Pomni, and what her mental state was like even before the circus. but feeling like you're nothing isn't normal, it's a symptom of depression. Now, I could rant on and on about my own guesses on Pomni's mental state regarding depression, how she deals with it, and how aggressively overlooked it was with everyone being like "omg gumigoo!" "NOOOO" "Caine you bastard" "Bring him back he did nothing wrong". but that's a rant for a different post. and I'm not saying gumigoo's death wasn't sad or tragic, but I am saying it was only part of the bigger picture. But I'm getting off topic, the point is that the theme of the episode was depression, and that theme was prevalent in both Pomni's and Gumigoo's character arcs through the second episode. what's interesting is that Goose chose the word to describe this episode, "boy".

of all the words on that list, "boy" and "haha!" seem the lightest. which would almost suggest that episodes 2 and 5 are going to be the most lighthearted, or at least, the easiest episodes to really take in. so to all the people who cried at episode 2, strap in, the feels are only going to get worse and more intense from here. (looking at you episodes 4 & 6)

now, taking a step away from episode 2 and plunging into the depths of speculation, I think that episode 3 is going to be the fast food adventure with the Orbsman NPC. I have a basic idea of how this adventure will go, but it's very broad and also likely incorrect. my current theory is that the circus crew will somehow find themselves having to run a digital version of McDonalds called "Spudsy's" with Orbsman being the quest-giver/manager/owner who puts the entire circus crew to work. however that's kinda where the working theory ends right now, as we don't really know a whole lot about Zooble and Kinger. both of them had very little screen time in both episodes 1 and 2, especially Zooble, who got carried off by gloinks after the tour in episode 1, and didn't participate in episode 2's adventure because they were prepping Kaufmo's funeral. Kinger, when he does get screentime, seems to be a sort of comedic relief. many scenes portray him as a wacky, silly, spontaneous and sometimes dissociative guy, outside of that one scene with Ragatha in episode 2 where we get to see a more caring and empathetic side of Kinger. outside of that one scene though, we don't really have a whole lot of information on their characters. the fact that they'll both be touched on in the next episode could mean that they have similar coping mechanisms, or Gooseworx's plans for episodes 7-9 are simply so grand that Zooble and Kinger have to share an episode to make room for more angst. who knows. now, the word Goose used to describe this episode was "damn" so chances are good that this episode will be pretty heavy, or showcase a deep or flawed coping system or mechanism that Kinger and Zooble might share.

episode 4 is an episode I'm also hyped for. it's gangle-centric, and if I have to guess, it'll likely be the ghost adventure. The only reason I say that is because it wouldn't surprise me if Goose made a very broad Phantom of the Opera reference in her show at all. Gangle's design is off of the Tragedy-Comedy mask, which is a classic sign of theater. and with the design of Gangle's room also taken into consideration, it just makes sense to me. anyway, I think the one ghost woman (I think her name was like, matilda or something) is going to be the main quest giver here. and I think that it'll likely be a fetch quest of meandering through a boobytrapped, haunted mansion, and finding her lost pet which looked like a dog or a seal, but was still a ghost. I think what we're going to see from this episode is Gangle doing everything in her power to keep her comedy mask from breaking, dodging all sorts of traps and stuff that threaten to break her mask if she gets hit. and I think it'll look a lot like a scooby-doo cartoon for a bit. However, I do think that Gangle's mask will break, and I'm very interested in seeing what happens when it does. especially with the episodes quote being "oh..."

now with episodes 5 and 6 I can't find anything on what's to come for those yet, like what NPC's exist for those episodes, or the general aesthetic or vibe of the episodes. the only clip that I could find in the "Pomni wake up! it's time to go on an adventure" video was the "Kinger with a shotgun" clip. but I think that's more connected to the fact that Gooseworx stated there'd be "dried out corpses" in one of the future episodes.

Episode 5 is described with the word "haha!", and is themed around Ragatha. so maybe we'll see Ragatha struggle with the consequence of internalizing all of the stress she's experienced, being upset about things that hurt her long before Pomni arrived, and struggling to like, express what she's internalized in a healthy way.

Episode 6 is described with the word "guns", and is Jax centric.

I wonder who could've seen this coming... but yeah, I'm intrigued by this episode. I have no idea what's in store for it, but I know we'll probably get to know a lot more about Jax. like what his room looks like, how he copes, why he acts the way he does. personally I'd like to see if there's any reason behind his cruelty toward the others and his surroundings, I think it'd make for great character development.

Now, episodes 7, 8, and 9 are complete mysteries, however I wouldn't be too surprised if we see Caine get character development or exploration. seeing how he managed to make AI so complex is was capable of becoming sentient, it wouldn't surprise me if Caine himself was sentient on some level. maybe we'd see more of how he feels about the circus crew, how he builds adventures. however I do have a theory revolving around the very incomplete stadium we saw in the "pomni wake up! it's time to go on an adventure" video. at first I thought it'd be something akin to like, a gladiator type adventure, where the entire circus crew has to fight the NPC's from all the episodes. but after looking closer, it seems to have the exact layout of a baseball stadium. with little bench areas for the team members to sit and everything. I think that in one of those episodes, Caine is going to improv announcing a ball game, where the circus crew, and the NPC's of the previous episodes all end up playing baseball against each other. so I think gumigoo will be brought back in this episode, along with all the other NPC's from the previous episodes.

My thoughts on episode 3 + theories!!

Okay so starting off, my unfiltered thoughts throughout the episode

-They actually spend time together when outside the adventures aww! (Not like they really have a choice, but still neat-)

-Jax being a bitch

-"Zooble turns Straight" Welp, the whooooooole fandom was right!

-Bubbles reversed dialouge. Damn they really don't want those content farms no more.

-CAINE AN POMNI INTERACTION YEAAAA (It was one piece of dialogue I'm so delusional)

-He made this adventure JUST for Zooble cuz they never go and he really wants them to GUYS HES NOT A VILLAN SEE?

-Jax being a bitch

-LUIGIS MANSION REFRENCE FUCKING YESSS

-Wow the visual here are super pretty :o

-...and horrifying

-Jax being a bitch

-I haven't mentioned yet but the lil quirky powers or whatever are cool

-Wow the lore Caine writes for these stories is just like your average artist who torments their OCs (he so me fr)

-2D ANIMATION!!! Also Kinger and Pomni being like the funniest duo ever

-HOLY FRICKLE FRACKLE THEY DEFINITELY DID NOT WANT CONTENT FARMS TO FIND THIS EPISODE

-Zooble has some sorta body dismorphia and has opened up about it to Caine multiple times seems like

-CAINE HAS EMOTIONS/SELF AWARNESS CONFIRMED???

-Pomni gets fucking posessed ok

-now we know why it looked like kinger was hitting Pomni with the shotgun

-I love how the whole fandom took one good look at Ragatha and went:

Overall, this was definitely my favorite episode so far! The team is getting better each and every episode! SOOO much happened here!! I'm super excited to see what happens next!!

Okay, THEORY TIME!!

-Okay so to start lightly, so far, all the episodes we've seen contain:

Gangles mask breaking

Jax breaks the 4th wall

A cute/sad heart to heart conversation or interaction

A reference to angels or god or Christianity in some way

Interesting right?? Wonder if this keeps up...

-On the topic of Christianity, I saw a theory saying that if it's true that the gang developed the game (which may be true because of that computer science line), When Pomni says "I knew it would end up like this... He just wants me to suffer..." she may not be referring to Caine, but her Boss at CnA.

If that boss exists and is NOT named able, Imma be mildly upset-

-Okay, Alot of people have been talking about Jax being an NPC, and I wanna bring up my opinion on this:

As I mentioned earlier, he always breaks the 4th wall, witch could be seen as a character in a game being like "What do YOU think?" *Insert Game Options here*

I saw another theory saying that if this is true, Jax might be self aware or sentient to some degree, and This is why he tortures everyone. He knows that this world Revolves around the players and nit him so he wants to make them more miserable.

-OKAY, NOW WHAT (I) WEVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR... THE WHOLE DEAL WITH CAINE GLITCHING OUT AN' STUFF!

As one of many Caine angst connisuars on this platform, I really enjoyed this scene...

Caine knows that he only exists to make adventures and if he can't do it well enough than he serves ZERO purpouse and his existence is useless... (he's just like me fr)

This has SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR A SERIES FINALE.

Since in each episode we've (mostly) seen a character being comforted (mostly Either Pomni being comforted OR someone being comforted BY Pomni)

What if the last episode had Caine and Pomni having a heart to heart?

(Shutup this is not about showtime I swear let me have this-)

Someone abstracts, (Ragatha or Kinger probably,) and it's Caine's last straw. He finally breaks and the circus goes into ruins. Pomni does her best to comfort him. This could go one of two ways:

Either she sucseeds and happy ending for everyone :D

OR, they fail and The Circus is destroyed, Taking Caine down with it.

Maybe then that would be how they escape cuz if Caine is emotionaly attached to the circus, it would be completely destroyed or erased if Caine finally broke...

The angst potential is crazy...

This is terrifyingly close to what I wanted to do with R-M AU UHHH I MEAN-
