do you know if the patches on mara or zooeys jacket are references to anything? some of them look familiar but I don’t know enough to recognize them

This ask ended up sending me down a rabbit hole because for the longest time I had no idea what these silly cats on neon shadows clothes were, one day a friend said Felix the cat, and when trying to reverse image search many of the things that came up were Felix the cat.

From what I can find some people like making “punk edits” or “trippy edits” (help it’s 2013 tumblr) of felix the cat? I don’t know why but it seems to come up a lot. Felix the cat has also collaborated with some fashion brands like Levi’s and A Bathing Ape so it makes sense why his look-alike would be on shadow high dolls.

I always knew two of the cats on Harley’s pants referenced KISS, specifically Gene Simmons and I believe Paul Stanley, the one with the eyepatch also reminds me of Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols, I’m not sure if there are more iconic eyepatch-wearing-punks out there but Sid seemed pretty iconic to me

I also found this patch and really unfortunately I do not know the origins of it, the patch is available on Amazon and etsy and many other sites so I am not sure, but this is definitely what the patch is referencing

Mara does have a few other patches which again very unfortunately I do not recognize but I am going to post them here in the hopes that someone may know what the references are!

Also I don’t have Zooey so I don’t have any clear images of her patches, I find it quite difficult to see them in the stock photos (though I am certain some are nasa related), if anyone has her (or any other doll with patches!) please feel more than welcomed to send them my way and I can attempt to identify them!
