I'm working... Ok, working is not the right word for that. I'm experimenting and losing my mind over this for weeks now. And honestly i've been depressed so many times over this, it really hasn't been fun in a while, unlike making the tattoos for V-Lexa. But also i can't let things go, when i start something, so taking a step back and just leave this for a while, was not really an option (and i tried). And i really wanted to make something for her.

And since yesterday, i think i'm finally on the right track. Maybe. Hopefully. We'll see. Sorry, i'm rambling.

Anyway...

I always wanted to give Lexa some tattoos. But there hasn't been anything so far, which i thought would fit her. And also tbh i didn't even really knew myself what i wanted for her. And tbh it was kinda difficult to find something, cause everything i tried, wasn't "good enough" for her and i was (and still am) constantly unsure, if i'm not ruining her.

It was a lot easier to find something for V-Lexa. Not because i care less about her, but because she's in comparison relatively new and i'm still figuring everything about her out.

But Maelstrom Lexa has been around for quite while now and allthough i want changes, i'm so scared (yeah, it doesn't make sense). Also it doesn't help, that her personal lore is about wanting (Maelstrom) perfection and making her body the perfect weapon -.-

Aaaand i'm rambling again. Ok... Changes:

New tattoos of course. Lexa LOVES skulls. On her clothes, as decorations... So that is also mostly the theme for her tattoos. A lot of skulls. But she also got two "let's get some ink while blackout drunk" tattoos (she's not always perfect xD). On her right hip you can get a glimpse of a "yelling" cat, which she got after Salem adopted her and she just wanted to show off, that she now has a fur baby. The other is a Maelstrom logo on her leg which she got shortly before her initiation, when she got extemely drunk with Royce and Dum Dum and decided it's time for a gang tattoo. And of course they thought it was an awesome idea 😂

There's a tattoo for Johnny as well. It's the heart on her right arm. Not a cute heart, since we're still talking about Lexa, so it's the... literal organ 🫀 I still have to add Johnny's name and their wedding date to it. Also i would like to give him the same tattoo, but i'm not sure about that yet. Mostly because i'm hesitant to change his tattoos and don't want to get yelled at for that 🥴.

I got rid of her vanilla body scars and trying right now to give her some custom ones. Because i always thought she doesn't have enough scars, since she's fighting a lot and she sees them as trophies. But that's just an idea for now and i have to see how this goes, cause i'm not really understanding what i'm doing (normal maps wtf!?). I would also like to work on her face scars, but that is even more confusing.

I also thought about making my own skin color for her, cause sometimes her skin looks too red for my taste. I would like to have her paler and with even less color. But i didn't have any succes now, cause nothing looked good enough.

Other stuff:

I'm tidiying up Johnny's NPC+, cause every time i gave him a new outfit i just threw the things into his mod folder without organizing anything. And now i have a ton of stuff and no idea, what is for what. Also there are a lot of appearances, which i will never use (again).

I'm very slowly working on a mod for the Aurore Outfit: Pants, bra, top and jacket. I like this outfit so much but as usual, i need COLORS 😂 Currently only the pants are more or less ready, so this will take a long while until i can share it, since priority are definitely things for the blorbos.

Also in between i make some poses, but these are mostly just for myself for now, cause i'm actually too lazy to make them good enough for the public (at least i know how to position the camera to hide the chaos) or to retarget them for other couples besides M/F.

I think, that was it for now. Which was already too much again 🥴

Ace Attorney: IF (... Harem Edition)

Gonna make this one short and sweet. Apologies to those that don't like harems; this is just my creative decision as writer. No NTR in my house. (人◕ω◕)

As usual, I entertain 3-4 girls for the guy. That's become my average for harems. This first post is about Phoenix; I'll make a separate one for Apollo later. Those will be the only guys with harems, at least at this time. To be fair, I don't have ships for Edgeworth. He's just a cool character for me. XD

Iris

Though a lot changed in this AU, I've kept the Phoenix-Iris relationship intact. They still went through the canon motions of Iris posing as Dahlia, and though I haven't touched on their reunion yet... You can rest easy they do eventually. (人◕ω◕)

I won't get into the full details, but after meeting again Iris agrees to leave Hazakura Temple with Sister Bikini's blessing. Iris gets a job as a nurse, and over the next seven years she rekindles her relationship with Feenie. She only has to get over her guilt of deceiving him when they first met; in this AU she never became an accomplice during a Hazakura incident. Phoenix is pretty busy as a prosecutor, but it's not his whole life. Making room for Iris again is very doable~...

Their attraction to one another is pretty strong. Outside any physical attraction, Iris enjoys that Phoenix can still be a goofball but he's evened out a lot and become very mature; Phoenix is still quite smitten with her reserved and kind nature. He sympathizes with her family tragedies, and is more than happy to be there for her. Though she does connect with her cousin Mia as well, and gradually makes friends over the next seven years. Iris works at the Dye-Young Hospital, so Phoenix is on pretty familiar terms with Nurse Karen Jensen, who becomes one of Iris's best friends, and her grandmother Bonnie Young.

After seven years they decide to go for marriage. Iris wanted to wait that long to make sure their relationship was genuine, and not just something they returned to out of pure sentiment. Admittedly, she does have to put up with sharing Feenie... and that also takes getting used to... (人◕ω◕);;; She often butts heads with Franziska because of the whole whipping shtick. Iris can be surprisingly bold when it comes to caring for others... Not that Franziska stands for all the insubordination, but she knows Iris is a "favorite" of Phoenix Wright... so there's not much she can do. (人◕ω◕);;;

2. Franziska

Franziska got acquainted with Phoenix around the Dahlia trials. She wasn't that fond of him at first, he was a foolishly foolish fool of a college student. (人◕ω◕) ... But Phoenix got interested in her as a friend, especially when Franny "allowed" him to be declared innocent and threw the book at Dahlia. Sure, his idealistic mindset clashed with Franziska's perfectionism. But he threw himself into studying law to become a prosecutor that pursued the truth regardless of the accused's innocence or guilt.

... (人◕ω◕);;; Again, not something Franziska was thrilled about that he kept reaching out... But eventually she folded and helped him become a proper man of law (and not just a bluffing fool). Due to her father being the Chief Prosecutor, she couldn't be too close with him, but Phoenix did rub off on her over the years. To the point that she didn't fully agree with her father's idea of perfection even before he was fully exposed as a criminal.

After returning to Germany for a bit to collect herself (after her father was imprisoned), Franziska came back to find out what sort of prosecutor she wants to be. She and Phoenix were still somewhat distant for that year as Franziska clashed with Mia and the Edgeworth lawyers in court for several cases... And then they grew closer again through the Matt Engarde/De Killer trial as Phoenix took the reins on that one. Franziska already knew she wanted to be a different prosecutor from her father, but around this time she stopped caring about any win records.

She and Phoenix worked together on a few cases over the next year, Phoenix's rep growing. Eventually they ran into Shi-Long Lang, and all the drama that goes along with that. Franziska decided to work with Interpol as a prosecutor around that time, which meant that she would be away from Japan a lot... But with Phoenix, she always had a reason to come back home. (人◕ω◕) Because yeah, their friendship blossomed into love over the next seven years. They helped each other grow as people, and Phoenix helped smooth out any tension she had with Miles over his "betrayal" of becoming a defense attorney. You know Franziska by now, she's not the kind to be open with her feelings. Not in public. (人◕ω◕) She somewhat envies Iris for that, but you didn't hear that from me.

With Iris and Phoenix talking about marriage, Franziska hopped in on that. Taking a break from her globetrotting to secure her spot as a Mrs. Wright. ... Though she still goes by "Von Karma" while with Interpol. She won't let that name die, and she won't lose to Iris. (人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕)(人◕ω◕)

3. Calisto

Calisto... This is perhaps the most interesting one. The gist is that she was caught and arrested for attempting to murder Byrne and Mack Rell, and got rehabilitated through working as a detective under Tyrell. Eventually she got assigned to Phoenix as a partner, and she usurped Franziska's role in molding him into a worthy prosecutor. Their dynamic has always been unique, if not distant on the surface.

Yet Phoenix became a friend of sorts that Calisto didn't wish to lose. Wouldn't let him get convicted of murder, and ensured criminal elements didn't lay a finger on him. The protectiveness went both ways, and despite her past Phoenix placed his trust in her. She also got some merriment out of messing with him. (人◕ω◕)

They've been working together for a decade by now. Their relationship has never been "romantic" in the traditional sense, but in some ways they do operate like a married couple. So when Franziska and Iris came into the scene, Calisto wasted no time in sinking her claws somewhat. Mostly to mess with them, but also Calisto had no plans to get in a relationship with anyone else. She had no interest in such things... Phoenix was probably the closest she'd ever get to such attachments. (人◕ω◕)

Calisto had no issue becoming a Mrs. Wright, even though Franziska and Iris balked at her shamelessness. She doesn't remember her real name, so "Calisto Wright" will do good enough. And really, Calisto strikes a middle ground between caring Iris and whip-happy Franziska. Outside of her giggling fits, she's a pretty serious woman that won't put up with foolishness while on the clock. She's not very intimate with Phoenix...at first... But married life has a way of changing that. (人◕ω◕)

Now to aid my memories in the future, let me recap this. That place is apparently some sort of space that people usually can only get to with the help of Campanella (possible also when you are an Anguis, but she didn't confirm that) but that with the Memories that have returned to McBurn it is clear that it would be easy for him to do it all by himself. Which makes you wonder what memories have returned to him that makes it easy for him to get there and why. I mean, is it easy for him because whoever he is, he can easily penetrate other spaces or is it because who he is actually has been there before?

Aaaand why would that be? (I might be wrong but wasn't it in the Spreadsheet translation that it was said that HER form would change if he spilled it out who she truly is? That could have been a translation mistake, but it is a very confusing one...)

Anyone else confused at this point too? Maybe he really is Epstein? But even then... would that really make him as an Enforcer so important that Ouroboros needs him that badly?

WHAT THE FREAKING HELL WAS THAT EVEN?! That sidestory left only questions and gave us no answers. The only things we know now is:

That McBurn is still with Ouroboros and apparently vital for their plan and decided to stick around because he "likes the place" or something.

That the grandmaster has another form as Greamheart mentioned she would look different otherwise

That Greamheart can pose a threat to Ouroboros plans for some reason

That Marduk is way to powerful

And that until shortly before the world is supposed to end neither of those two will get in each others way with whatever weird plans they have

That looks like much, but we were left with A LOT more questions than answers here.

I like how you evoke what the tournament is usually like, full of people in the streets and tons of food and an air of celebration everywhere! You've come up with a good in-world reason why we don't see those things - it just adds to the impression of a Daventry that has fallen from what it was.

Alas, Number One is not only helming the whole events from a planning point of view, he's going to literally have to be king for a day with all the downsides and none of the perks. He's willing to do it for Edward, and I like how you've portrayed the genuine care he has for him. It pains him to see this lonely king slowly fading.

Have to admit that even though I knew exactly when he would arrive, I cheered a little bit when feather boy turned up.

The in-world reason for always cutting Graham off before he can say "Cracker" is pure gold. Of course the guards are all rooting for him to be there just because they want a good laugh about his name, and of course Number One has just about had it with everything that's gone wrong so far, and he's annoyed Graham was late and threw off the schedule, and he's going to blow his top is anyone says that stupid name or laughs about it... It takes a little "nudge nudge" joke to the player and makes it work logically. Love that kind of thing.

I already told you that I read this passage to my brother, and we absolutely laughed our heads off at two things. (We were tired, but also it's really funny in your hands.) The first was how UTTERLY goofy Graham jumping in the river is when you look at it from Number One's "had it up to here" perspective. He's trying to fix this ridiculous bridge situation which he already thought was fixed, and now this kid waltzes in, having showed up late, going on about the list which should be the least of their worries right now. And Number One highly suspects he's just competing as a joke, entered with a prank name and everything. And then he sees him on the rocks, warns him it's slippery and dangerous, and then Mr. Ha-Ha-My-Name's-Graham-Cracker-Aren't-I-Hilarious looks at him pointedly, strikes a pose, and goes in the water nose first. 💀

The other thing was how blatantly funny this fic makes the "he was talking to me," thing. Like, obviously it was Number One who fished him out of the river, and Number Two's all "You're welcome." And Number One saying in an undertone, "He was talking to me." Just - of course he was and the fact that Number Two keeps going insisting he was being thanked... I can't even quite capture why ti was so funny when we read it, but it sure was.

Oh no - his boots are full of water. He's going to be soggy all day.

The fact that you turned the Duel of Strength into prose at all is a feat in itself. It's such a ridiculous passage of the game and I love how from Number One's perspective it's just one "What the...?" after another.

Number One claims Duel of Wits is extremely simple... heh. While I did get much better at the game over time, he maaay be oversimplifying here.

I share your opinion about Dune promo, I aside that Quotidien interview and the new york screen that assised Timmy, Denis and Rebeca (I really wish that there were videos about that Q&A) the most part of promo has been traser trailer for differents countries.

I don't know maybe It's because Warner it's trying to sell the movie as a blocksbuster? 🤔

And as someone who watch the movie I think there are several people who will get dissapoint if they think this is just a blockbuster or kind of Star Wars movie 🤣

Yes, Quotidien and the NYC screening were part of what I was referring to. 50'inside was ok even if the program is mostly celebrities/superficial topics with a shiny veneer to pretend they aren't trash.

I don't think it has much to do with Dune being sold as a blockbuster or not. Of course it's sold as a blockbuster, because it is one. It's just not an empty one and it's not for every one so it is doomed to disappoint some people (yet again, which movie isn't? There's always someone to not like something, which is cool).

Regarding of the promo, I think I (as a person who cares about Dune as Dune and not only as a Tim's movie (which would be totally fine as well. If Dune isn't your cup of tea, you're totally entitled to just follow the thing through Tim's prism like I'll do for others of his movies, probably) would have been kind of disappointed if I'd only follow the promo through Tim's perspective.

From what I understand, I'd say it's mostly because of the way the PR team of the movie thought the thing. It has been thought as a collegial promo, which to be honest would have been dumb not too. There are a lot of different and dedicated audiences to catch everywhere, people who has a potential to be interested in the movie through one person only, starting with Villeneuve himself (with his whole filmography), Rebecca with MI, Oscar with Star Wars, Jason with Aquaman/GOT, Zendaya with Spiderman so it's great to give everybody some spotlight. We need every help we can get.

What's frustrating for me is, when they come to decide who were going to be sent where and do what, they obviously gave to Timmy (and Zendaya) most of the promo that is based on being young and beautiful and not much more. They both individually and as a pair handle the -25yo audience (and the superficial one -- both being sometimes the same and sometimes different) and not much more is designed for people who aren't interested in having their face posing before a poster reposted by an instagram account or who doesn't care that much about a pr birthday party and actually want to hear about cinema.

And I'm not saying this as it's bad and wrong and they shouldn't have done that. Of course it's the (or at least a) thing to do. Timmy is still 25 yo and there are a lot of young people in his audience so of course. But what's frustrating me is that the first promo I've followed in real time is Beautiful Boy and maybe I have no memory or maybe I'm completely delusional but I wasn't used to Tim being marketed only as young and beautiful. If it's was about his youth, it was only to say how even more incredible his performances were given his young age. And that tendency, of him being showed as much as a fashionable young thing as a serious actor and that been going on since 2-3 years, makes that a part of the content coming from him is uninteresting for me. On not as exciting as it should be at least. Because I'm very much interested with him as an artist and and an actor.

Like -- for example -- I'd rather see him in itw in sci-fi and movies magazines than seeing him in Vogue+ (even if I liked the photos and the interview and it's clearly on the good side of doing promo) but the choice of putting him here instead of there, whoever made it, is a good indicator of how they intend to use him for this promo. And maybe sci-fi magazines readers rather don't want to hear about Tim and are more interested in reading about Rebecca and Jason but... I don't know. Maybe time will tell differently, but they've been pretty consistant so far.

I've felt weird about Erw*n lately and I think I finally figured out why, he's nothing like the original version of his character was and I wonder what made Isayama give in to the fanon version of him instead of what he had meant to. I don't know it's weird cause he's suddenly supposed to be smiling all the time and doing weird shit that would of been considered ooc if it had been drawn before

Oh boy, I honestly couldn’t give a damn about Erwin XD Like, sometimes I forget about him completely... meanwhile you talk as if he was alive in the story?

Anyway, I don’t think it’s weird for the only two one remaining characters who were close to him to remember him as his best part/smiling. That’s just how we remember people we felt positive about, especially dead ones.

You also need to consider that Hange never knew of Erwin’s dark parts; however, I’m pretty sure it’s established they had a close, good relationship in which Erwin might have acted not like the ruthless commander, but more as a friend. He used different, more down-to-earth pronouns while talking in private with Hange. So even if Hange’s dying mind portrays him as a good-natured man who’s kind of joking about things, even if it wasn’t always the case when he was alive, it’s probably a reflection of how Hange thought about him, based on their friendship. And if that “afterlife”-like stuff was actually the afterlife, I like to imagine people there are simply unburdened by their sins and suffering there, so they can be who they could be if they lived in a vacuum, or just feel happiness...i don’t know if I’m making any sense? Erwin wasn’t an evil monster, after all, albeit he wasn’t a saint.

Besides, you need to remember that Hange brought up even Erwin’s reckless plans who often caused the death of many, that’s why Hange was very antsy about the plan Armin had come up with for Liberio. And finally, I think Hange (and Armin) had a really idolized idea of Erwin, also because they considered themselves inferior due to feeling pressured in their positions - which were directly related to him. So I don’t find anything weird in how Hange feels about Erwin.

As for Levi, the only other person who brought him up I think?, of course he would remember his smile, as it’s probably the only thing that can give peace to Levi’s mind for the horrible choice he was forced to make back in Shiganshina. If he remembered a dead Erwin, that would make him feel even more guilt, and if he remembered the ruthless, manipulating side of him...I don’t know, it would feel weird, also because I don’t think Levi ever really thought of Erwin’s manipulative streak as something bad, aside from when he was caught in it in ACWNR. I’ve come to the conclusion that Levi felt it was “for the best”, that’s how he always excused Erwin’s plans he himself followed and that lead to deaths. That’s how he copes, sometimes, I guess? That’s what he was doing in chapter 112 as well.

In the same vein, though, Erwin manipulating people for his schemes or sacrificing civilians or soldiers was never really posed as too much of an issue in the manga, aside from very sporadic scenes, so I don’t find it weird NOW, as it’s always been weird for me, and one of the reasons I could never get into his character.

In any case, I really just sum it up to most of the cast not knowing the real Erwin and simply looking up at him without his image ever being scratched. Plus, Levi and Hange (and Mike and Pixis and maaaybe Nile) were his personal friends, so they knew the side of him that wasn’t stony faced, distant, and ruthless, like normal recruits or political enemies would. Of course they would remember him in a more light hearted way.

Also, I’m not sure if you meant that Erwin in the beginning wasn’t shown to be multifaceted, but this is what boils down to, in my opinion. Characters are introduced as one dimentional, and later on get fleshed out more. Even Magath, even though he was a ruthelss commander of his own, had softer sides, idealized worldviews, and flaws that went beyond being a commander. But, as you can see, the living only remember his nice side. It’s something that happens often, so I am not surprised or weirded out, I just feel like “i expected nothing and i am still let down” kind of thing that I forget really quickly ‘cause I never cared about the characters anyway.

Also, I’m guessing that by “fanon version” you mean the goofy one that only shippers and memes have, because I have seen non-shipper Erwin fans acknwoledge his ruthless and manipulating persona, albeit many find it cool. XD Guess it’s only bad when it’s Zeke who does that lol

And as for his killer, I... I don't know. I'd wanna ask him why. I know he probably just did what he was told to do, but. That doesn't make it right. If Clyde was one of his own then... why? Why didn't they just decide to kick him out? If he was so... bad for them, then why didn't they just kick him out? Or were they just too afraid of him? I just... I don't understand.
