You have opened the floodgates now

I'll only talk about my Disney Villains ones for now because that's all that relates to the blog, but if you want to hear about the ones I have outside of the disney fandom I would be more than happy to gush about those too.

The Lich's Dark Fairytale--aka the Horned King/Maleficent

- Okay, I talked about this one a bit a while ago. But unsurprisingly, I have more to say. So this wasn't my first enemies-to-lovers ship--I think my first one was created at least four years ago, but it's probably closer to six, and even that might be undershooting it--but this was my first "oh they'd try to kill each other, that's spicy" ship.

It started as a thing that wouldn't last, just a way to explore the kind of pairing where they're both trying to kill each other while trying to ignore their less-murdery feelings for each other.

It was a pairing dynamic I didn't really explore before then. Then I ended up liking both characters, their similarities, their shared dynamic--so much that I just had to make it a sincere enemies-to-lovers. And I'm a sucker for villains that have a soft side for someone but are still, y'know, evil. And given how Maleficent's whole thing in her movie is sticking it to the "true love conquers all" trope, I like the idea that a relationship wouldn't magically make her good. Sorry, Jolie, but she's just more fun of a character to me as a bad girl.

I would also love to see someone as gleefully evil as Maleficent try and lift the King out of his bitter and somber little grave. It'd be good to hear him maniacally laugh more often. Or really, at all. Maleficent's come back to life a ton of times, and might not be fully killable, while at least in my personal headcanons, the King can't ever fully die, being able to remain aware and keep his soul in his body no matter how horribly its damaged. So there's none of that immortal's angst that either of them would get from a relationship with a mortal.

I also love seeing characters be ruthlessly protective of one another, and I think these two have great potential for that. They both have potential to get absolutely bloodthirsty on the battlefield, even if Disney never really let us see either of them doing that. But you don't get a reputation like Maleficent's by sitting on a throne all day, and you don't achieve a reputation like the Horned King's by never riding into battle and cutting a few thousands down upon an accursed, blood-soaked blade. In fact, book-accurate depictions of the King have him surprisingly jacked, and looking a lot more battle-ready than his animated counterpart. I like to think that's how he was when he was much younger, before he started rotting. So if it comes down to it, they'll both wreak havoc on a battlefield, or they'll form an impenetrable defense to shield the other. And that is my JAM.

If I had to pick one song for them, it would be Love Me Dead by Ludo. But I have a whole playlist for them tbh.

Cards & Dice--aka Facilier/Oogie

Now this one is just. Fun. These two have such a similar aesthetic and flair for elaborate jazzy song-and-dance numbers (with use of blacklight!) that I just had to have them become friends. And gradually I decided "okay. But what if...they were friends-to-lovers?" And thus, Cards & Dice was born.

Honestly I think they'd be the most fun of my OTPs to play third-wheel to. They'd get up to all kinds of villainous shenanigans, make a TON of enemies, and make a narrow getaway every time.

Also? Considering they're both more nervous on average than the average Disney villain (with Oogie being one of the only ones actively terrified of his hero, and Facilier one of the only ones seen nervous and afraid before his demise) I like to think they could help each other with their respective fears. Facilier standing up to Jack, Oogie standing up to the "Friends" (even if neither are actually powerful enough to win). Oogie just sitting and hearing Facilier out when he's freaked out about how the "Friends" might still be searching for him. Facilier saving the HBIC (that's Head Bug In Charge, aka the Brain Bug, aka the green earwig Santa squished) just in time when the rest of Oogie's body gets destroyed. That's all just so good to me.

And don't get me STARTED on them singing and dancing together, completely stealing the floor every time! They're WONDERFUL, Your Honor.

If I had to pick one song for them, it would be Poker Face by Lady Gaga. But I got like a whole playlist for them in the works lol

A New DIRECTIVE--aka AUTO/Doris

Yes, I did just come up with that name. I think it's quite good.

So this one started as like. A joke. A what-if. A "hey, they're the only robots so they oughta stick together". How did it end up like this? It was only a kiss, IT WAS ONLY A KISS

So I am a sucker for the trope where the more chaotic one breaks the orderly one out of their shell and gets them to be less rigid. What if that, but evil?

"Hey boy, how would you like to go from lawful neutral to chaotic evil?"

"I don't suffer from 'I could fix him' disease. I think I could make him worse."

Theirs is like the inverse of the "love makes the bad guy turn good" trope. Love makes the robot disobey his programming, go rogue, and help his girl take over the world.

They're like the evil version of WALL-E and EVE. Except with the roles reversed, because the guy is the one from space who wants to follow his DIRECTIVE while the girl is the one from Earth trying to be like "no dude, check this out, I can control people and stuff all by myself. We should totally rule the world, it'll be awesome."

I usually imagine this pair with humanoid android forms because it's. Kind of hard to get invested in a ship's wheel and a hat. They're both a lot less expressive in their base forms than either WALL-E or EVE, so giving them cool android forms helps. I don't imagine them as super human-looking droids though, cause if they're more obviously robots it looks cooler. Though I DO think Doris deserves a face so she can go >:D sometimes. And AUTO deserves the ability to go >o|

If I had to pick one song for them, it would be Daisy Bell by Harry Dacre. Because they're both HAL 9000 references (Doris a lot less obviously so, but she's still got that one red eye), and evil robots the way HAL was, and that's the song HAL starts singing before he's deactivated. Which in and of itself is a reference to the first speaking/singing computer-generated voice program, IBM704, which famously sang the song Daisy Bell. (there's also a Futurama episode where Bender dates a HAL 9000 reference character, and there's a montage of them doing romantic things set to Bender singing Daisy Bell. For all my fellow Futurama fans out there ;) I'd especially recommend this version, where someone had both the original IBM704 and VOCALOID4 sing the song as a duet. (Because I like the idea of Doris getting a Vocaloid or Vocaloid-like voice if she was able to speak actual words instead of that admittedly really cute droidspeak language from the movie)

There are also plenty of villain ships in this fandom that I've seen that I love (such as FireSerpent--aka Jafar/Hades--, EvilPuppies--aka Grimhilde/Cruella--, and SeaDragon--aka Ursula/Maleficent) but I wanted to talk about only the ones I developed myself, since I think the creators of those ship names would be better equipped to talk about them.

I kind of want to say he’d like be a dedicated fan of 2000s video games like half life resident evil etc who’d use discord (real name as his username except when he changes it for jokes, pixel art he made himself pfp) and sometimes Reddit (default username, customized Reddit avatar pfp). This is only tangentially related but I also think he would like vocaloid a lot

Hmmm I don’t think he pays much attention to clothing outside of whether it’s comfortable or not (also I don’t want to think about what they wear in Reles so painful to design futuristic outfits that also look like people would actually wear them 😞) I think he really likes his hairstyle though if that counts he thinks it looks cool

I don’t think he does this anymore since he’s like broke and all but when he still lived in Avarrecia he used to always like carry different small gifts to give to people. Also I think he’s the type of person where if you gave him a good luck charm he’d keep it with him constantly.

Probably lol I think in her arms (so tensed) and hands (which would be like clenched). Can you have tension in your eyes from like staring at things. Does that make any sense. Ok well in this universe you can and she does

Many, many other songs that I don’t feel like listing (I actually wasn’t influenced by other media That much tbh, with the exception of a lot of separate songs that like gave me an idea or reminded me of a concept or whatever, so that’s like my primary inspiration I guess)

So what’s really up with those demon and angel characters?

I’m gonna say right off the bat - this isn’t an explanation of the song series I used these two for. In fact, the songs featuring these characters on their covers have surprisingly little to do with one another! I just liked the simple designs and drew them whenever it felt appropriate. I tried thinking of an actual story to tie them all together around the time I made The Heartwarming Story Of My Creation, but it was so messy and full of edge that I promptly scrapped it lol

HOWEVER!

These characters DO come from a short novel/comic idea I had way before starting vocaloid. It was a rather silly concept for a slice-of-life story, which could potentially evolve into something with an actual plot!

~So here it is~  

It all takes place in a world where having a demonic servant is treated as the norm. In fact, not having a personal demon is considered weirder than having one! There are ads for various contracting agencies, different demon ratings, demons who specialize in different services etc., etc. It’s not uncommon for parents to bind their child’s soul to a demon as soon as the baby is born, though it’s often done a bit later in life (however, if you’re under 18, you can make a contract only with special permission from your guardian).

Since everyone and their mother has a being with reality-bending powers at their side, the servants have very strict limitations on what they can and can’t do. At base level the overwhelming majority of them boil down to being an extremely efficient houseworker - they are restricted to doing stuff like chores, buying things, helping with communication, keeping company, changing their own appearance to suit the customer’s tastes (a lot of people stick with the demon’s default monochrome-human-with-horns-and-tail form, though, since that’s what they’ve grown used to) changing the clients appearance (usually not to an unrecognizable degree), being a bodyguard, etc.

There are ways of lifting some of those limitations by binding more than one soul to a single demon (but the servant will continue to fully obey only one person). So the most powerful demons tend to be familial - those who have been passed on from parents to their children over the course of generations. The most influential people in the world have extremely strong familial demons.

Truly powerful familial demons are rare, because: 

the parent may not have tied the child’s soul to the familial demon before dying

by the time most parents die, their children have already gotten a servant of their own

the child doesn’t want to accept the familial demon for personal reasons

Some people are hesitant or straight-up opposed to the idea of getting a servant, since, while demons never disclose any details about the process of soul consumption or, for that matter, anything about the afterlife, it’s widely understood to be hellish. The thing is, it’s unclear whether “happy” afterlife even exists - unlike demons, heavenly beings like god or angels or even ghosts do not manifest in the physical world. Some believe that there is no paradise at all, and the only two options for the soul after the body dies are being consumed by a demon and continuing its existence in that particular demon’s “hell” or simply disappearing. The lack of information about what really happens after death makes many people brush off the consequences of making a contract in favour of living a much more safe and comfortable life.

Like I said in the beginning, the comic was supposed to be a series of slice-of-life episodes involving a group of demon friends and their clients (with Kafka being the focus). I didn’t develop them that much, so their characters were pretty simple!

Since demons’ actual names are near impossible for humans to pronounce, they tend to settle for nicknames. They are primarily genderless, but usually present themselves as either male or female for convenience sake; they can change gender according to their client’s wishes. Like humans, every demon is an individual and, while their baseline powers are the same, depending on their heritage, talent and the way they use the souls they consume, their higher-tier abilities and battle styles may differ wildly. Generally it is considered rude to ask a demon what their higher abilities are - even good friends may not know the real extent of each other’s power.

Making contracts with humans and serving their clients for an entire lifetime to them is basically like a regular customer service-type job. Their moral beliefs are a bit different than those of humans, so, while humans can grow very attached to their servants, the demons themselves feel little to no remorse about consuming their clients’ souls. In a way it’s similar to how people treat farm animals. The animal can be cute and you may appreciate the times spent with it, but in the end you’re not going to be too torn up about eating it. 

While demons live for a long time and technically do not require human souls to survive, consuming a human soul is the highest form of pleasure for them - not only does it boost and replenish their power, but also gives immense spiritual fulfillment. A demon living purely off of animal souls will always be much, much weaker than a demon who has eaten a single human soul over the course of the last 100 or so years.

Oh, but what about the angel girl? 

Angels don’t manifest in the real world, right?

Levi was another important character (woah, shocking), second only to Kafka. They were a familial demon, who had been growing displeased with the way their client - the most recent heir - had been conducting his life. Kafka had a strange, vaguely hostile, but close relationship with Levi.

I had a few ideas about what I want do with the story, but it’s definitely not something I can fully dedicate myself to currently. Still, I think it’s a fun, kinda nonsensical concept that I’d like to use in the future. Or not!

hi!! this character is part of a set of 12 (encompassing all canon classes, blood colours, & aspects) i made over the past month or so in celebration of homestuck being a decade old. they’re all based on various vocaloid songs. (*rubs my evil little hands together* I don’t think you understand how excited I am for this. I get to combine all of my teenage interests together in one place!) (You say you’ve got 12 Trolls coming so I’m going to base all of my classpect comments on making your characters better fit the Titles you’ve assigned them!)

Alternia or Beforus or some type of AU?An AU Alternia! Same planet at base, entirely different backstory with different ancestors & different population & rules and all that jazz.

Name (preferably include how you came up with it and why): Cimova Vienne. “Cimova” is from The Czech word for “decimate,“ decimovat. "Vienne” is from the Viennese Waltz, the dance style!

Theme: she’s based on the song World’s End Dancehall! while it’s open for a lot of interpretation in regards to what’s really going on there, my own basic interpretation is simply “the world is ending, so instead of stand in terror, celebrate what life you have left and dance.” so that’s the interpretation she’s based on. (You even linked the lordxwillie video I’m getting flashbacks to being 13 right now god. WED Is still a bop and Wowaka is a genius though.)

Age:9 sweeps / 19 human years old

Strife Specibus:Spearkind.

Fetch Modus:Hop & Step. It’s essentially DDR or a real-life rhythm minigame of sorts – each captchalogued item is assigned a separate movement sequence; she has to repeat the steps correctly to get the item she wants. Enough screwups and it’ll eject her entire inventory (and she needs enough space to move about, too.)

it’s essentially a stylised line drawing of a person dancing! i prefer not to use the trollcall zodiac for my own trolls, so i tend to make my own or find them while researching lol

Trolltag:[DD] devantDenouement. “devant” is a dance term meaning ‘in front of;’ “denouement” essentially means “finale.” so essentially it just means she’s “in front of the end.” like it’s just in sight?

Quirk:Proper senNtenNce capitalizationN ~ Separates words with “~” inNstead of periods, doubles the letter “n” to give a sort of feeling of ascenNsionN ~

Special Abilities (if any):none! well, sort of – she gets vague prophetic visions on occasion, as explained in the backstory. but it’s not caste-related. (Classic Doom. Also remember that Tyrians have INCREDIBLE physical toughness and psychic resistance- they’re the only ones who can survive the Vast Glub.)

Lusus: An enormous sea monster! Sort of like a sea hydra, with multiple heads. Partly scaly in a pattern reminiscent of a leopard’s spots, with a ring of material almost resembling a lion’s mane at the base of the neck where every head meets. it’s inspired by the Beast of the Sea from the Book of Revelations!

Personality:Surprisingly upbeat because of her own personal philosophy that you should live every day to the fullest. If you’re bogged down by nothing but your own attitude and something happens, you’re going to die with only regret! So she goes out of her way to avoid that. She’s pretty lighthearted, loves to joke around (even if her jokes can have a bit of a meaner streak to them), and tries to extend as much empathy as her limited highblood understanding can allow, though she still slips up easily. It’s hard to catch your own tone sometimes. She’s also got a pretty short fuse despite her nicer demeanour and tends to crack easily because of all the pressure she’s under. (Positive Doom players are a rarity but this is definitely one of the ways to do it! I think a big thing she’s missing here is some fatalism. She’s a Doom player, a Seer, and a Prospit Dreamer, so her having a distinct idea of Fate as a thing you can’t battle against is definitely something that would happen.) (My suggestion here is to make her something of a positive nihilist? Like “We’re all gonna die someday- what’s the point in delaying the inevitable when we go and do whatever we want and have fun!”)

Interests: Dance (every & any kind, though she actually prefers studying & researching the various forms of Alternian dance to actually performing a majority of them. she likes actually dancing ballet & ballroom style), court etiquette due to her extensive amount of time in the presence of the Alternian court, treasure-hunting and deep-sea diving. She’s also got an interest in risk-taking and risky activities as a whole and does a lot of things for a thrill. The one (1) thing she is actively banned from is FLARPing, so she just has her friends tell her stories about that (and adores them, so it’s an interest in its own right.) (Why though? Because she’s an Heiress? I’m not finding much of a canon justification for her not being allowed to Flarp, but it’s been a while since it’s come up, admittedly.)  (Doom is associated with Coding and strict rules, but I actually think you could use her love of Dance as a Doom extension! She particularly likes Ballroom and Ballet you mentioned, both forms with rigorous training and technique and a colloquial tie to rigid society!)

Title:Seer of Doom (As a Seer, she’ll passively and fully comprehend the death and inevitability that will follow and haunt her for the rest of her life. This extends to rules and game design, so within Sgrub she’d be practically the ultimate rules lawyer! She’d know every particular innately, every weird rules interaction.) (This, of course, extends to the Inverse, the Witch of Life: Her incredible understanding would allow her to exploit loopholes for her and her team in order to change how the grow as people!)

Land:Land of Stairways & Dead-Ends. A maze of a land that leaves you climbing and descending with no real end or way to get around in sight, leaving the wandering consorts desolate and lost. Her quest would be to basically find a way through the land & clear out / map out a path from beginning to end. (Lands aren’t my forte, admittedly; these are hard to come up with!)

Dream Planet:Prospit

Backstory For Context: as one of last-hatched the Tyrian bloods that wasn’t a direct descendant to the current empress, she was originally raised with the expectation that she’d simply become a high-ranking member of troll society without getting any chance at the Alternian throne. However, in adolescence she started having vague, prophetic visions of doom, death, and unavoidably grim circumstances. Unbeknownst to her, this was her designated abilities as a Seer of Doom manifesting in a latent sort of manner. Through these vague, occasional visions and her distribution of warnings to the trolls involved, she caught the eye of the empress & her personal court, and was eventually granted the privilege of becoming her heiress due to this skill. Despite not being her true descendant, or really anyone hatched near said descendant’s birth. So she’s been getting used to the pressures of being raised as an heiress recently. (The one thing that’s confusing me about this is where the Fuchsia Bloodlust went? We know Feferi doesn’t feel it with quite the intensity Meenah does, but it’s a very big concern for your character who lives around other Fuchsias.)

Symphonic Metal (and other similar branches of metal) is probably one of my favorite genres and I think some of Evanescence’s music can fall into that.  It seems like whenever I go to the internet wanting to find a new metal band to enjoy, there is always some dick who is like “Let me guess.  You like Evanescence/Nightwish.”  Like who gives a fuck.  I like a LOT of things.  Epica, Leaves’ Eyes, Dream Theater, Krypteria. . .but it seems like the moment I admit to enjoying either Evanescence or Nightwish I just get written off.  Which makes no goddamn sense because if my taste is such “shit” tell me something else to try?  Ya know.  The whole reason why I’m there!  /rant 31. Hell yeah!  300, Stardust, Rent (yes, I have both the movie and Broadway versions), Requiem For a Dream, The Lord of the Rings, Pitch Perfect and Moulin Rouge.  I also have videogame, tv, and other broadway musical sountracks. 32. What's the oldest song you have? I have music by The Beach Boys which is early 60′s.  Surprisingly, I don’t have any classical music on my computer. . .which I do enjoy.   33. Pick a song and tell a story with it. On The Way Down by Ryan Cabrera was the inspiration to my fanfic about Mr. Bushido (Graham Aker) struggling to kill himself.  The lyrics “On the way down. I saw you and you saved me from myself.” is the theme behind it. . .it’s the idea that he was seeing his life flash before his eyes while slowly losing oxygen (and while trying to convince himself that seppuku is his only option.)  Those memories reminded him of the man he use to be and it’s the desire to go back there. . .to go back to the man he use to be. I said it months ago that I would like to do videos where instead of just music over it. . .I talk about a subject.  I plan on making my first one a drawing of a scene from my fic when I discuss what Graham Aker means for me.  I plan on making the speed paint use this song as well. 34. So I'm gonna answer this with my most prominent 8 OCs, which are:-Mizuki-Reine-Tia Erufe-Dia Armando-Sindriana-Budheg-Haiten-Surya10. Introduce an OC with a complicated design?Haiten is the most Complicated one as I have Female and Male design for them.11. Is there any OC of yours you could describe as a "sunshine"?I'd say Sindriana (coincidentally she is probably the most physically and mentally healthy). Budheg too, he's a good boy, and doesn't care what people think of his disability, he just care the wellbeing of his pokemon.12. Name an OC that isn't yours but who you like a lotI like Xeus which belong to reznov53 and Lyra by hymeji-jemy . Xeus is a strong amazing partner and Lyra has a cute design. But the prominent ones are Sindriana (what would you expect from a child of Sinbad honestly), Haiten (it's in her nature to be a prankster) , and Surya (She's a show-off Phantom Thief).14. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstoryALL OF THEM (jk , I should've said Most of them)-Mizuki and Reine are my own original OCs. They worked for an organization where they employ Shamans like them to put judgement to sinners. Mizuki is a level 3 Shaman and accommodates 3 souls as their partners, one of them were their dead brother. They worked as the Excecutioner, mutilating people based on their sins. Reine is a mechanic who developed weapons for Mizuki, the Supporter. He lost both of his left eye and arm during an accident that killed his best friend. Said best friend is now his ghost buddy.-Tia Erufe is a were-fox, or were-youko should be correct. Child of European were-wolf and a Japanese youko. She was shot by a hunter when training to transform into a baby fox. She has a phobia of gunshot noises now.-Dia Armando is my Ace Attorney OC. Fanmade child of Mia Fey and Diego Armando. This child is armless due to congenital problem when Mia was found out pregnant with outsider and the village elders tried to use drug that either give her abortion/made her a female Spirit Channeler. Those medicines affected her fetal development. While the armless issue isn't an issue to her, she is extremely pyrophobic due to an incident in her orphanage and seeing Godot's past in Case 3-5 from the game.-As a deaf-mute child since birth, Budheg is often bullied. But this doesn't concern him, he is more worried about the well-being of his pokemon. Professor Juniper saw his compassion and affectionate towards his partners so she sent him as one of the pokedex owner. Upon meeting N, N accompanied him and will probably defend him cause he know this deaf child is more observant and caring towards his pokemon or any wild pokemon. (Idk if N moved and lived with him in Kalos though. Since Budheg now lives in Dendemille Town)- Haiten was previously my mogeko oc, but I made her my own OC now. She was a child of the angel general and demon general. At first she was raised by the demons, but even then she was bullied. The local God noticed her existence and wanted to summon this half-ling to his side, so he asked his right hand man, the angel general, Haiten's biological (other) Dad (as her other parent is also male), to give options. "Haiten's options are to live with the angels and the demon family is spared or she can live in hell but specifically her biological demon family who loved and cared her will be killed". She chose the former ofc. In angels' side she's bullied even further. The God even physically and emotionally abused her till she have PTSD now, forcing her and abusing her In-between Worlds Jumping ability. She ran away with Xeus and asked Xeus to reset her whole world and make it completely the same only the God and Devil is deleted from existence and history. Now only Haiten and her angel and demon families remember the God and Devil in the whole world.-Surya was kidnapped once when she and her family are travelling out of Sindria and nearly made a slave before running away and now becoming a phantom thief. I always wanted to RP her again but I had nearly more than half a year hiatus RPing her due to last time I was kinda bullied and forced to do a rather gross NSFW RP by a somewhat sexist RP partner. At one point I was afraid and felt guilty that I never touch her blog anymore and despite me in hiatus, my best friend keep making free fanarts of her without my request, it felt like they love her more than I do, despite I was her creator. But really, those fanarts are my sole support that now I treasure her again as my own.20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?-Mizuki doesn't, but they hummed when they relaxed.-Tia don't but she can play western and Japanese flute.-Dia loves singing when at home, she'd even do these cute step/tap dances with her legs in rhyme.-Sindriana is often complimented by her family for her dancing and singing, she loves doing that during Maharagan festivals. She'd even do that in the middle of the street when she was travelling. Other people would give her money thinking she was a street performer (lol). She's probably the best for this out of all my OCs- if Haiten sings, it's usually a meaningful songs with meaningful lyrics and for meaningful purpose. She have Song Magic, which can be used to directly deliver her emotion to the listener using the song or searching for a certain someone whose personality matches the lyrics of the song. Her voice resemble IROHA (the cat-girl vocaloid).- You know how amazing and bright and show-off Miku Concert are. That's how Surya does her thing when doing heists sometimes. Out of heists, she'd hummed as to not disturb her animal buddies.
