#I just want them to find each other again after s5... while being safely locked up
Text
So Terry's in jail now. And Kreese just broke out (lol), but what if he gets caught again (because while he was in there for something he didn't do, he did break the law a few times during his escape).
They're unable to avoid each other. They don't share a jail cell, because the prison is not that stupid, but they see each other during meal time and in places like the prison gym. There's a lot of angry staring going on, their eyes finding each other the moment the other steps into the room.
One day some inmates set something on fire and all hell breaks loose. Kreese is still a 'shot caller', and therefore able to protect Terry during the resulting riot. Which means Terry owes him his life, twice now. And that brings back memories, feelings.
After that Terry becomes known as Kreese's 'prison wife', a title he wears with pride. They manipulate the guards into making them cellmates and live happily and evilly ever after, ruling a significant part of the prison together.

hbo spn storylines, drabbles, ideas, thoughts, wishlist, whatever you may call it. it’s messy, nothing makes sense and pretty sure a lot of these contradict each other
more of sam at stanford with jessica/flashbacks. jessica potentially lives but is revealed to be a demon (but she developed actual feelings for sam and really did come to care for him because a demon falling in love with a human would be SO interesting) OR she lives but her memory gets wiped like dean did to lisa OR she dies like she did but she is a ghost that haunts sam (he welcomes it but eventually he lets her go -> character arc). he still dreams about her though and he has her keepsakes with him wherever he goes, her rings, her favourite book, anything that was left of her from the fire
you have to be extremely careful when making deals with demons because they are cunning and evil creatures. they will follow the rules of the deal but will find loopholes to put some sadistic twist on the terms. you want money? of course, too bad you’ll be arrested for fraud before you can use any of it and spend the next ten years in jail before i drag you to hell. you want a perfect husband? sure he’ll love you. in fact, he’ll love you so much he’ll keep you locked up in the basement to keep you safe etc etc. saving a person often becomes the person that causes or leads to your death.
the creation of jack: after s5, when lucifer is trapped in the cage again lucifer fuses his own soul with a human soul to create jack, who escapes to earth to find sam and castiel. i have a longer post about this saved in my drafts
lucifer is trapped for good in the cage after s5 but if he was to return again, dean would kill him while sam would kill michael - this would be nice parallels and a sort of fulfillment of the “one brother must kill the other” prophecy because one brother DO kill another brother, just not their own
more azazel and how he came to the plan of how to free lucifer; opening a hell gate earlier, more experimentations with the demon blood etc
mary was infected with the blood when she was a baby, sam is the first and only second generation special child (longer post about that here)
personally, i want to see more and know more about john and mary’s relationship. when mary died, john and mary had fulfilled their destiny (having sam and dean) so does that mean that his love and dedication to mary post her death was falsely fabricated by the angels to ensure sam and dean would grow up in ideal conditions to become hunters? or maybe, after mary’s death, john wakes up from the spell with two kids he doesn’t recognize and a wife he thinks he loved, but the memories of the past years of his life are like a fever dream; he never wanted to live in a town like this nor was he interested in having kids? but here the house is, and here are his kids, but now he’s alone and empty and with no answers. (idk i just find john and mary and their relationship very fascinating) if the latter, if john and mary see each other again it’s like the spell activates again and they become blindly in love with each other, but once gone, they return to their confused and hazey state of mind, like just woken up from a coma
i do like mary coming back but i love how in s5 when she wasn’t found in heaven it was hinted that she was just discarded because she had fulfilled her “purpose” and i think this adds to the whole notion of how heaven and angels can be really cruel AND how mary is this mythical, religious figure to both sam and dean and we only get to know her through their lenses, like religion and faith
ruby is present for a longer amount of time to make the reveal even more shocking. at one point or another, dean does actually trust her and they all work together on cases for a while. ruby’s backstory as a witch is more explored. i like her death in s4 because she’s in this total state of euphoria and has achieved a goal only she was entrusted with, and she is so convinced sam will understand, until sam holds her down while dean carves her heart out. so we either keep that or she serves lucifer for a while (until he kills her which she is happy about because of her blind loyalty to him, could again mirror dean and john/castiel and heaven) or she serves lucifer and like crowley she realizes lucifer will kill demons after humans (redemption arc, but i don’t really like that, let her be evil!!)
dean and sam helps bela out of her deal and she becomes their go-to person when they need a magic item or book. she doesn’t like it but she owes them. regularly hooks up with jo.
angels are really hollow soldiers - they only follow orders and don’t understand the concept free will or choice or individuality at all. they are extremely righteous and strike without warning often on a whim, often very bloody (explosions a la castiel in swan song). if something fall into what they consider justice they will kill it. no concept of love, attraction or gender. real form can’t be perceived by humans unless they want them to, which leads to eyes melting (pamela) or breaking a person’s mind (in 5.16 zachariah actually says that sam and dean sees him in his vessel bc they’re ‘limited’. so.)
castiel, anna, maybe uriel and some others are exceptions to this, but only becomes so after longer exposure to human’s world. even then, they don’t change their violent whims, just the reasoning and where their loyalty lies
hbo spn is s1-5 stretched out for 8-10 seasons with the aesthetics of s1-2. i’m cutting out demon dean, purgatory, the mark of cain, the men of letters, the alphas, leviathatan, god being the real villain all along and the other worlds because it was just too much and far remived from the roadtrip aesthetic. keeping kevin, charlie (she is introduced via ash bc they’re hacker friends), the trials, rowena, uuuh the angels falling is such an interesting concept but idk if it would fit. maybe metatron? but his motivations are different. soullessness + the concept of souls might be kept if it’s explained better. i’m torn on whether or not to include the campbells
hell, heaven and purgatory are explained but only seen in glimpses, keep these ideas ambiguous and up to interpretation outside of what we hear. remember the line ‘hell is...well, it’s like hell. even for demons’? leave it at that. the exception is 5.16 bc that episode fucks so hard
if we end on swan song and let the show be the tragedy it is, i want to keep the ambiguous ending. is that sam or lucifer? if it’s sam, will he contact dean or walk away? we will never know! there is also no ‘the world is ending’ more than once, it really lost its impact after the second or third time.
idk how i feel about the men of letters - it is logical that there would be organized hunting and an established network and system on how to do things, but for the sake of keeping it hbo-style and grounded, there are no networks beyond the roadhouse and singer’s salvage yard.
i want sam and dean not have a permanent home except the impala, motels and impala ONLY. the bunker had potential but it was just for the sake of convenience it was there with all the lore and answers they needed when it was necessary. maybe eventually they do stop travelling so much when it becomes more about the Big Stuff instead of the episodic cases that requires driving all the time but it will be like an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. i want sam and dean to never have a physical house as a home but they scrape together whatever they have make something similar to a show
as the show progresses, sam and dean become pretty hated by other hunters because they’ve started apocalypse and have an increasingly shitty reputation. and john was an infamous good hunter but also a dick. everybody knows that people who work with the winchesters often end up dead, that one brother will sacrifice anything and anyone to save the other and that they frequently work alongside demons. even the ones they DO work with (jo, ellen, bobby, rufus, bela) are hesitant to be involved with them
sam’s powers are strong but after killing lilith and the truth revealed to him, he represses the powers in shock and fear of how blinded he was by them and the rush of power they gave him. a little more about how sam fears what the lust for power and strength did to him. he continues to repress his powers, often to a dangerous point where he will be on death’s door as a result of not using them. when meeting jack and mentoring him in using his powers, jack asks him about sam’s powers after sensing them. sam eventually decides to lead by example and embraces his powers again, but remains extremely careful about using them (this also fulfills dean’s arc of having to let go of the holy-innocent-pure-ideal-not a person but an idealized version of sam-little brother sam he has put on a pedestal for so long)
bobby is viewed as a father figure by sam and dean but bobby makes it clear he doesn’t want that burden or relationship in his life after his wife died. he makes this clear to them too, but sam and dean have fucked up perceptions of parental figures so they don’t think bobby means it (they just latch on to whatever parental figures they can find)
we see more of sam’s relationship with the side characters; sam and jo hunt together on occasion, he hangs out with ash and talks hacking when visiting the roadhouse. he and ellen loves playing poker together. if anything, dean is the one who’s isolated - he only ever really cared about mary, john, sam and cassie, and never really had any friends. sam is way more well adjusted and sociable after spending time at stanford where he’s had conversations that didn’t only revolve around dead bodies and lore.
this could also feed into dean’s extreme abandonment issues and isolation he feels and how this would affect his psyche
sam and dean are both unknowingly prepared to become the perfect vessels; sam loses his humanity by becoming more and more like lucifer (defying his father and his will) while dean becomes prepared by doing what michael did; casting his brother away in his time of need (blindly following his father and his will). very much like in s4 but even more intense and brutal (i love angst :))
we see different hybrids; demon/human (antichrist), human/(arch)angel (nephilim) and demon/angel (???), but none of them are all powerful bc narratively that’s really boring. they’re strong but have very specific powers that affects them and/or their surroundings in catastrophic ways (but no other worlds bs, we stick to the road trip aesthetic, keep it grounded). i want the only all powerful character to be god but he doesn’t show up at all, he’s the ultimate absent father. is it chuck? we never find out!
powers would for example include giving people diseases, force anyone close to them to tell the truth (not consciously, it’s just the air around them), read minds, create storms, light things on fire when they’re angry, make people hallucinate etc. like fucked up shit but not things that are too grande because again - that’s really boring
abbadon, the princes of hell and the four horsemen are more fleshed out villains instead of the one season reign the each had.
being a prince of hell is a title that is inherited - after azazel dies, sam gets the title because he is the one with azazel’s blood in him OR meg does, but idk if that would be as interesting (if she actually was his daughter)
it remains a horror show throughout, lots of gore and blood
the moral code and ethics of the brothers are the opposite of the beginning; dean thinks in black and white, sam sees shades of grey and individuals instead of what they are. however, as the show progresses, their train of thought becomes opposites; dean becomes more open to how people are true evil and how monsters are often victims of their circumstance while sam becomes harsher and less forgiving after ruby’s betrayal along with finding out the truth of his existence and how there’s been demons around his entire life. eventually they’re on the same page and they see the circumstances.
on the other hand; i also really fuck with the idea of dean maintaining his black and white morals on that all monsters=inherently evil, humans=inherently pure and good, but he is the only human on team free will. sam is half demon, castiel is an angel, jack is a nephilim, rowena is a witch, garth is a werewolf, mary is a zombie etc
demons become demons in hell by agreeing to become the torturer and thus giving up their humanity to be free of pain, does that mean they could become humans again by regaining some humanity? by doing good deeds? (potentially this is confirmed with jessica and how she came to love sam; genuine love and care for a human could reverse the demon process?) this also means dean was a demon in hell but was purified/turned back again when castiel raised him. this also plays into dean becoming like michael; in trying to absolve himself from what he did in hell he becomes ruthless, unforgiving and righteous to evil, much like the angels, regardless of his personal connection to a person and what he would consider “evil”
dean and pacifisim: after dean is cured from being a demon/the mark of cain/is made aware of his blind righteousness that he used as an excuse to kill, he becomes firmly determined to reign in his anger and violent tendencies by becoming a pacifist (like sam in s11) as a way to redeem all the blood he’s spilled. of course in his profession and true dean fashion he won’t be able to do it 100% so he decides to only act in self defense, and he only goes batshit violent on the offense when it’s about protecting sam
OR. dean’s self righteousness becomes his own downfall; the belief that all evil must be eradicated, refusal to see the circumstances and the shades of grey is what pushes him to lose his humanity and become a demon and therefore, in a potential ending the ruler of hell, because i think it would such an interesting journey from a to b, that dean starts out human, revels in his holiness, executes and kills in the name of his own holiness in the belief that he’s becoming the ultimate angel, the ultimate hero when it’s doing the opposite. if this happened then sam would take the opposite route; starts as a human, becomes more and more demonic, stops himself and returns to his hopeful and optimistic self, has faith and humility and that is what makes him ascend from abomination to purified and holy (trials).
this could be a perfect 10 season structure as well: s1-5 are when sam and dean start off humans; dean becomes holy and as close to an angel a human can be, while sam drinks the demon blood and almost becomes one to gain the freedom and power he wants, but begins to turn it around to send lucifer back to hell. s6-10 is when dean becomes the unholy and sam becomes the holy even though neither realize because now there’s no grand master plan - this is who they are, who they choose themselves. don’t know how this ould end though; either as normal humans again (but there wouldn’t really be a ”normal” after everything) or they really go off the rails with sam like ruling heaven (not as god though, just as a good and just man) and dean ruling hell. castiel is human and stays on earth with jack.
the gothic americana aesthetic is kept throughout the entire show and is only shot on film
after s5 castiel returns to heaven to help restore order, and he takes charge for a little while, but eventually returns to earth after trying to introduce democracy to angels who didn’t get it. in his place, anna takes over and she rules heaven well (after trying to kill mary when going back in time she isn’t killed by michael, but narrowly escapes and remains in hiding to heal until castiel reaches out and finds her)
when finding out they are The Vessels and will be brought back regardless of what they try, sam and dean explore what this means more. dean throws himself into dangers and to protect others. he is burned, blown up, stabbed, electrocuted, beheaded and eaten, but wakes up the next morning in his bed without a scratch, without any pain and memories of his deaths. he revels in this untouchability. sam kills himself over and over only to be resurrected again and again by lucifer. he remembers the pain and blood.
that being said, while dean is like angel royalty, sam is demon royalty. the demons don’t go after him, they don’t hurt him. some even offer up themselves to be drained of blood, even after lilith’s death. it makes it really difficult to stay clean but he pulls through with dean and castiel actually supporting him. to help sam get through his addiction, dean stops drinking alcohol and they go through their withdrawal together
the angels almost worship dean as the michael sword and have an open disgust towards sam for being lucifer’s vessel - they always answer dean’s prayers and calls for help, they follow his orders if need be and don’t hesitate to heal him if he needs it. sam could pray until his vocal chords bleed or call out for help while holding his guts in his hands; none of the angels would come to his aid. the only one who answers sam’s prayers is lucifer as a voice in sam’s head or a hallucination. sam could call demons to help him out but he refuses
sam isn’t the first hunter to drink demon blood, to try to enhance his own abilities using the supernatural as a means to get there - there are hunters who have altered themselves with parts from werewolves and vampires to become better hunters, like the styne family (the guys from s10), blurring the lines again of what’s good and human vs what is evil and inhumane
if angels can’t find a vessel to volunteer, they will force them to say yes - the how is not important, only that the ‘yes’ is said, whether its meant or not, any verbal yes will do. the angels never sleep and they never eat, which is disturbing to sam and dean who are exhausted all the time and eat scraps whenever they can
castiel, like all other angels, is taught to despise and not care about sam winchester at all, but the more castiel gets to know sam, he becomes fascinated with him, how lucifer’s ultimate vessel, starter of the apocalypse and destroyer of god’s creation can be so kind and gentle, so full of faith, acceptance, optimism and hope. in dean castiel sees a good man, yes, but also a man who’s bloodthirsty, rages, revels in war, resorts all problems with violence, loves conditionally and expects unquestioned loyalty. sam too, has a darkness and bloodthirst in him, but it only comes out in glimpses. castiel thinks it’s funny, how sam turns out to be the opposite of lucifer while dean is so alike michael

You blink awake slowly, your body fighting the exhaustion that still consumes you.
Bright light filters through the tent, illuminating a small body curled up beside you on the bed. You smile down at Madi, who must have shown up at some point during the night after she finished her responsibilities with Octavia. Your eyes trace her face, so peaceful as she sleeps, and you get a pang of sadness when you realize you’ll have to tell her about Clarke when she wakes up. If she hasn’t already picked up on Clarke’s absence, it won't take long for her to realize.
You freeze when you hear a creak behind you, and you pull your knife from the holster on your thigh, left on after your stressful night, turning to look towards the door and face your intruder. Instead, you’re met with the sight of Bellamy, sitting in a chair near the door, watching you. As soon as he sees that you’re awake, he gives you a small smile and whispers, “Hey.”
“Hey.” You untangle yourself from your blanket, careful to not disturb Madi, and slide out of the bed, walking towards him. “What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to make sure you were okay after last night.”
“Not really. And as soon as Madi wakes up, I'll have to tell her, which will only make this worse.”
“Maybe not.”
You cock your head to the side and your brows pull together, confused. “What aren't you telling me?”
He glances over at Madi, stands from his chair and peeks outside before walking back over to you and pulling you to the furthest corner in the tent from your sleeping niece. His voice drops low, barely a whisper and he says, “I slipped Octavia some of Monty’s algae.”
Your jaw drops as you look at him, your brain running through the meaning, picking up on a piece of trivia you’ve gathered in the last few days. “Like the algae that put Murphy in a coma?”
“Yes. I poisoned my sister.”
“Oh, Bell.” You can see the anguish in his face, and it breaks your heart. Without even thinking about what you’re doing, you pull him to you, wrapping your arms around him and holding him tight. He immediately responds and hugs you back and you whisper, “She’ll be okay. I’m sure Jackson can keep her alive easily, especially with tech from the bunker.”
The two of you pull apart, and he nods. “I hope so. But with Octavia unable to lead, Indra can take over the army, and she can accept Diyoza’s terms.”
“Murphy was out for a week right? By the time she’s awake, we’ll be in the valley, living peacefully.” He nods, and your mind flashes to your twin. “What about Clarke? Can we let her out?”
“Not until Wonkru surrenders. It’ll just raise suspicions about her before then.”
You sigh, knowing he’s right, but you find relief in the fact that at least she’s safe for now, while Octavia rests in her coma. “Can we see her? Madi will want to.”
Suddenly, a quiet voice retorts, “Madi will want to what?”
You look over at your niece, sitting up and staring at you, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. You glance at Bellamy, and he whispers, “I’ll be outside.”
You nod and watch him step out of the tent, before you walk over to Madi and sit down on the bed beside her. “Madi, I don't know how to tell you this, but Clarke’s in trouble.”
You see anxiety cross her features immediately, and she sits up straighter. “What do you mean? Is it Diyoza? Did she come for her? Are you in trouble too?”
You shake your head, reaching out to take her hand, hoping it’ll comfort her. “No, it’s nothing like that. And I’m not in trouble. But Clarke has been arrested for killing Cooper.”
Madi watches you, carefully looking for the truth in your expression as she asks, “Did she do it?”
You sigh, not knowing if you should tell her or not, exposing your dazzling little sun to the atrocities of war that you and Clarke have committed. Despite her youth, you know Madi is smart, and she’ll figure it out eventually, one way or another. Better to hear the truth from you than a lie from someone else. “Yes, but I helped her.”
You decide to leave Bellamy out of it, just in case Madi slips up and says something to someone. Though, knowing her and her loyalty, you’re sure she never will. Still, it doesn't hurt to be careful. “I want to see her.”
You look at her in confusion, not understanding how she just blew past your admission without asking a single question about it. “Wait, that’s it? You’re not gonna ask why?”
“I don't need to. I know you, ani, and I know Clarke. If you killed Cooper, I know you had a good reason. Now, can we go see her?”
“Get dressed and let me fix your hair and then we will.”
“But I-”
You cut her off, assuming the mom mode now that Clarke is gone. “No buts. If you show up looking like a mess, I’ll be the one in trouble.”
You stand and head towards the entrance, “The faster you move, the sooner you get to see her.”
You hear her jump into action as you step out of the tent, and you and Bellamy wait patiently as Madi gets ready in record time. She steps out as soon as she’s dressed and you undo her braids from the night before, quickly adding back two on either side of her head to keep her hair out of her face, but you leave the rest of her hair down for the day, just as eager to go see Clarke. Once you’re ready, Bellamy leads you to the bunker, signaling Indra as you pass her on the way in.
She meets up with the three of you once you’re deeper into the building, the path you’re taking pulling at a memory, and as you start to reach the door where a guard stands, you realize Clarke is in the same room she locked you and Bellamy in before Praimfaya. Ironic. Indra greets the guard, clearly loyal to her, before pushing the door open and motioning for the three of you to go inside. You nudge Madi forward and she steps inside, followed by you then Bellamy, and Madi instantly runs over to Clarke and pulls her into a hug. You smile at the scene in front of you, despite the circumstances, watching as Clarke also smiles, beyond happy to see Madi again.
She looks up at you, over Madi’s shoulder, and mutters, “Thank you for letting me say goodbye.”
You shake your head and glance at Bellamy, quietly asking if you can warn her, and he nods, so you turn back to her as she pulls away from Madi. “Clarke, this isn't goodbye. Octavia's sick, they say she might not wake up.”
Indra walks over to Madi and grabs her, starting to pull her away as she tells Clarke, “We can't risk the child being seen here. She'll be safe now, and so will you.”
Clarke nods and Indra pounds on the door, the guard from before opening it. As Indra leads Madi out, she turns to you, Bellamy, and Clarke, “Be quick.”
You all nod in acknowledgement as she disappears, closing the door behind her, and as soon as Madi’s gone, Clarke turns to you. “What did you do?”
“Not me. Bellamy.” She looks to Bellamy, who avoids her gaze and mutters, “Monty's algae.”
“Oh, my God.”
He lets the gravity of the situation land before he adds, “As head of the army, Indra can accept Diyoza's terms for peace. By the time Octavia wakes up, we’ll be in the valley.”
You reach out and grab Clarke’s hand. “Once Wonkru surrenders, I'll come and get you out. Then we'll head back to Shallow Valley together: you, me, Madi, and Bellamy.”
She smiles, pulling you into a hug, whispering in your ear, “Together.”
You hear a quiet knock on the door, letting you know your time is up, and you squeeze Clarke before you pull away. “We’ll be back soon.”
She nods and you and Bellamy head for the door, knocking to let them know you’re ready to come out. As soon as you’re in the hall, you see that Indra stands waiting along with the guard, but Madi is gone. “Where’s Madi?”
“Safe.” She doesn't give you time to ask for more details, because she turns and walks away, expecting the two of you to follow. You and Bellamy glance at her and then each other before he tips his head in her direction, asking what you think. You shrug and start to walk after her, and he follows, both of you jogging to catch up. As soon as Indra sees you by her side, she mutters, “Good, time to see Octavia. Then, we gather Wonkru.”
You follow her through the bunker as she leads you to Octavia’s room, motioning for the guard to push open the door as she approaches. He complies, and all three of you step inside, your eyes instantly falling to Octavia, sprawled out on a very large bed, hooked up to a variety of machines. Niylah is on one side of her, Jackson on the other, and Miller lingers nearby, watching them. They all turn towards you as you step inside, the door closing behind you as Indra asks, “How is she?”
“Her systems are shutting down.” You stare at Octavia, looking small and weak in the large bed, her breathing slow and shallow as she lies completely still. Niylah turns from Octavia, setting her eyes on Bellamy, a glare on her face. “You were there. Tell us everything that happened. Did she take anything, drink anything?”
Bellamy shakes his head, paying his part of the clueless brother. “It's like I told Miller, she was eating one of your rations. Why?”
“Because she might have been poisoned. That’s why.”
You all turn to look at her in shock, not expecting her implication of Bellamy's involvement, but then you remember Gaia’s words to Clarke when Gaia wanted to kill Niylah. She is not your friend. Just like her daughter, Indra opposes Niylah and commands, “Niylah, that's enough. She's his sister.”
“We were sharing it the Wonkru way. I ate it too, and I'm fine.”
You can feel the tension in the room rising, and you rack your brain for a way to change the subject and diffuse it. Thinking of Octavia’s earlier injury from the worms, you look at Jackson, expression curious. “Have you considered that the worm toxin might still be in her blood?”
“It's possible, making this a secondary reaction to the substance she was exposed to, but a week ago…” Jackson trails off, and his boyfriend mutters, “English, Jackson.”
He clarifies, “Dialysis won't work. Nothing will. We need to prepare for succession.”
Everyone turns to look at Octavia with sadness before moving their gazes to Indra, knowing she’s next in line. Indra accepts the responsibility with a nod. “I'll inform Wonkru. If there's any change in her condition, I want to be the first to know.”
She turns and heads for the door, telling Miller on her way out, “Gather the first battalion and the delegates.”
And then she’s gone. You, Bellamy, and Miller all follow, leaving Niylah and Jackson alone with Octavia. Miller branches off to gather the appropriate people, and not long later, he meets up with you again, nodding to Indra. “They’re gathered in the atrium, waiting on your command.”
Indra gathers her guard, Miller included, leaving you and Bellamy hidden in the back. She makes her way to the atrium, throwing the doors open with an air of command that only Indra could possess. She steps into the center of the crowd, and you and Bellamy linger near the edge, your eyes searching the crowd for Madi. You see her standing with Gaia, and the two of you lock eyes but make no move towards each other, aware that now is not the time. Instead, you watch as the room falls silent and Indra steps into position, turning slowly to meet everyone's gaze. “The whispers are true. Our beloved Blodreina has fallen ill.”
You feel Bellamy tense up beside you and you glance over at him, making sure he’s okay. You can see the guilt weighing on his shoulders, your world weary Atlas back just a few days after landing on the ground, and your heart hurts for him. But he keeps his composure and his face blank as Indra continues, “These may be her final hours. I trained Octavia as my second, and I love her as I love my own child. I advised her and led her army with pride. It was her desire that if she should ever fall, I step forward to lead you. Blodreina wanted what we all want: to live a better life in Shallow Valley, and we will, but not through war, not when there’s a better way. For the last six years, we have lost hundreds of our people, and we can’t afford to lose anymore. I will negotiate for Wonkru to enter the valley peacefully, so that no more shall suffer.”
You and Bellamy watch the crowd, relieved to see that most people seem to be nodding along with Indra’s words, open to the idea of surrender. That is, however, until Miller yells, “You're not in command here! Not even over the first battalion. Blodreina gave that honor to me!”
Someone yells out, “So you expect us to follow you? He’s Skaikru!”
“There is no Skaikru! You know that, Brell.”
You and Bellamy exchange a look, growing uneasy by this shift in the conversation. The woman who spoke up a second ago, Brell, reminds everyone, “In the absence of the Commander, the clan delegates should reassemble and choose the next leader.”
A man nearby yells, “Blasphemy! Miller’s right, there are no more clans. There is only Wonkru and enemies of Wonkru.”
Brell and the man stand off, staring at each other, before they start to fight, inciting those around them to join in. Your eyes search the crowd, looking for Madi again, uneasy with her closeness to the angry mob. Just as you spot her and start to head her way, Bellamy grabs your arm and Miller sends two bullets into the air, freezing everyone in place. You glance back at Bellamy and he shakes his head slightly, subtle, reminding you of the danger in this room. You settle next to him again, still anxious and on edge, redirecting your attention to Miller, who yells, “Now, I’m not asking you to follow me, I’m asking you to follow Octavia. Yesterday she ordered us to march on the valley, so we march for Blodreina!”
The response is immediate, and swords and guns are lifted into the air, along with the loud chants of, “Gon Blodreina! Gon Blodreina! Gon Blodreina!”
You and Bellamy share a look as Indra walks over to the two of you, and you both turn your gazes to her, muttering her name, a quiet warning, “Indra…”
She shakes her head at you both. “I can't stop this war, but there's someone who can.” She turns her gaze to Madi, who stands watching you, and Indra whispers, “We need a real Commander.”
You can see Bellamy considering it, and you turn to him and whisper, “Absolutely not!”
He looks down at you, and you nod towards the door. “Can we talk in private?”
He nods and Indra allows the two of you to leave the atrium, the steady chant of the delegates growing softer and softer as you lead him to the training room that you both fought Octavia in. You make sure there’s no one inside before stopping into the room and turning to him. “I know we’re a family of Nightbloods, but we are not putting the Flame in Madi. I can do it, Clarke can do it, whoever. But it can't be Madi.”
“A Commander will unite the clans. It’s the exact reason that Clarke tried to ascend before Praimfaya.”
“I know that, Bellamy. Which is why I’ll do it.”
He opens his mouth to fight you on it, but a small voice near the door beats him to it. “No.”
You and Bellamy turn to see Madi, clearly listening in on the conversation, and you shake your head, already knowing where this is going. Madi steps inside, coming to stop beside you and Bellamy, demanding attention. “Clarke said everyone got angry when they realized that your mom made you both Nightbloods. If either of you take the Flame, they’ll kill you.”
You shrug, “Maybe, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take to save her, and you.”
“I’ll do it.”
“Madi, no. Are you listening to me? Clarke would kill me, bring me back from the dead and then kill me again, just to get her point across.”
“Are you listening to me?” You look at her in shock, her voice raised and angry, something she rarely does. “If you take the Flame and they kill you, who will take it next?”
“Clarke.”
“Wrong. They already know that Clarke isn't a real Nightblood, so they won’t give it to her. Which means, at the end of the day, I’ll be the one that ends up taking the Flame anyways.” You sigh, looking down at her, your brave, dazzling sun, and you know she’s right. Madi takes your hand, driving her point home. “This is the only way to save Clarke and your friends.”
Bellamy, who has been silent through your entire exchange, whispers, “She’s right. If they’re willing to go to war for my sister, then they’ll kill yours, because that’s what Octavia wanted. Miller was there, he heard her mention an execution.”
You look between them, shaking your head at this bad idea, but you know they're both right. Your hands are tied, and you’ve been given one choice. The only choice. “Fine. But we have to tell her first, she deserves to know.”
When they both agree, you look down at Madi. “Go find Gaia, tell her the plan. We’ll meet you in the house where she took Niylah. She’ll know where that is.”
She nods and runs off, and you turn to Bellamy. “Let me do the talking, okay? I don't want you to make this worse.”
“Okay.”
The two of you leave the training room and grab Indra on your way down to the boiler room where they’re keeping Clarke. You inform Indra of the plan on your way down, and she seems pleased that you finally agreed. When you reach the room, you take a deep breath before walking inside, steeling yourself for the battle to come. And then you step inside, face your sister, and tell her the truth. As expected, she completely shuts you down, the exact same way you shut Bellamy down at first. “Absolutely not.”
Bellamy ignores, or forgets, your earlier message about letting you do the talking, and emphatically tries to convince her of your side. “Clarke, you know what a Commander means to the Grounders. Years ago, you tried to force the Flame on Luna. You were willing to put it in your own head to prevent a war over this bunker. How is this any different?”
You glare at Bellamy, knowing that was exactly the wrong thing for him to say, because despite those being her actions years ago, things have changed, she’s changed, and Madi is her kid. Clarke cuts back,“Madi's a child, that's how! I don't care how many of these people still believe in the Flame, they believe in Blodreina more.”
You can sense Bellamy about to argue again, and you hold your arm out to him, letting him know he should stop, and you keep your gaze locked on your twin. “Madi will be protected. Bellamy, Gaia, and I-”
She cuts you off before you can explain further, “The answer's no. Now unchain me so we can get the hell out of here before we all get executed for treason.”
You look at Bellamy, conflicted, and he shakes his head and glances between you both. “Echo, Raven, Murphy, and Emori are my family. Your mom is in that valley. So is Kane. I'm sorry, this is happening.”
And then he reaches out and takes your hand before you can be swayed by Clarke. Clarke turns desperate as soon as she realizes you’re leaving, and she calls out to you the entire time, her words breaking your heart. “Don't do this, la lune!”
Bellamy knocks on the door, letting the guard know you’re both ready to leave, and Clarke continues to yell at your backs, “You said that you'd protect her! You said you'd keep her safe! La lune, wait!”
And as much as it hurts you to hear her tug against the chains, desperate to reach you, calling out to you, you close the door behind you, pausing to lean against it and take in a shaky breath. You close your eyes, trying to block out your twin's cries, and you hear Bellamy ask, “You okay?”
You take in another deep breath, pushing your emotions out of sight before you open your eyes and look at him. “No, but there’s no other choice. This is how we save her, and our friends, and the valley.”
You glance to Indra, who stands listening, making sure you’re still going through with it. When she sees that you are, she nods. “I’ll go check on Octavia. You two do what needs to be done.”
You all break off, taking separate paths, slinking through the bunker to avoid all suspicion that you’re planning something. You and Bellamy eventually meet up and reconvene in the streets since he doesn't know the final meeting point, and you lead him through the dark streets, unsurprised to find Madi and Gaia already waiting. As soon as you step inside the room, Madi runs over to you, hugging you, and you feel tears well up in your eyes, not sure if you can put her through this. You drop down to her level and whisper, “You don't have to do this, I can still do it for you.”
“No, it has to be me.”
You think of the pressure, the burden that she’s about to shoulder, and you add, “I don't want to put this on you.”
“You aren’t. I’m choosing to do this.” And then she glances between you and Bellamy, who stands behind you. “Are you both sure about this? When I do this, she’ll never forgive you.”
You glance at Bellamy and then to Madi, thinking of what Clarke said to you the day she discovered that you had been training Madi behind her back. If you go against my wishes for her again, I won't be as forgiving. And you know it’s likely Clarke won’t forgive you. She might hate you forever for allowing Madi to do this, but at least she’ll be alive. “I’m sure.”
Bellamy echoes, “Me too.”
Madi turns to Gaia. “I'm ready.”
Gaia ushers Madi over to a table that she’s already prepared for the Ascension, and then she begins the process of making Madi the Commander. You and Bellamy stand back, out of the way, and the only time you get close is to hold Madi’s hand as Gaia puts the Flame in her neck. Madi kneels on the ground in front of Gaia, sweeping her hair to the side, out of the way, and she squeezes your other hand in a flash of fear as Gaia steps closer to her. You whisper, “Nou fir raun, strik deimeka.”
Don’t be afraid, little sun. She looks at you and nods, lowering her head for Gaia. You glance up at the young Flamekeeper and nod, and she lifts the Flame and whispers, “Ascende superius.”
You watch the tiny, tech based legs slither from the Flame, seeking out a mind, and Gaia lowers the device towards Madi’s neck, who groans as the first few wires pierce her skin. When the Flame starts to dig in, she lets out a scream, which ends up muffled by the sound of the Ascension horn coming from outside. You ignore it, too focused on Madi, whose eyes roll into the back of her head seconds before she passes out. You catch her, turning her over to look at her face, waiting for her to wake up. But instead of it happening instantly like it did with Clarke, Madi’s eyes remain closed, and you look up at Gaia in alarm. “Clarke woke up right away. Why isn't she waking up?”
“Patience. The Flame affects every Commander differently.” Gaia kneels beside you and starts to strap something around Madi’s neck. “This collar will protect the Flame.”
As soon as she gets the collar around Madi’s neck, you glance at Bellamy. “Help me.”
He understands immediately, and helps you to lift Madi and carry her over to the table, laying her out on it. You smooth her hair away from her face and whisper, “Madi, come back to us.”
As you’re peering down at her, you hear a sound at the door, and before you can even question it, Miller yells out, “Back away from the child right now!”
You, Bellamy, and Gaia all turn towards the door in shock, watching as Miller files into the room, followed by ten other guards. The last person to walk in shocks you though. Clarke steps into the room, looking pissed, searching the room for Madi. Her eyes eventually land on her on the table behind you, and you look at Clarke in surprise, unsure how she got out, just as she walks over to you. She stops right in front of you, glaring, before she catches you off guard and slaps you across the face. You grunt at the contact, cheek instantly stinging, before your hand lifts to cover your injured skin, your mouth dropped open in shock. You turn to look at your twin, and she mutters, so quiet only you can hear, “I told you I wouldn't be as forgiving if you crossed me again and I meant it. You’re dead to me.”
You hear the roar of blood in your ears as your brain processes the words, and you swear your world starts to tumble as she walks away from you, announcing to the others, “I need to get it out.”
You can barely hear Gaia over the chaos in your head, your brain still trying to understand what Clarke said to you. You’re dead to me. You’re dead to me. You’re dead to me. You’re dead to me. You aren't surprised to see Octavia walk into the room, despite the fact she was on the brink of death the last time you saw her. It seems to you the Universe is hellbent on playing a cruel joke on you, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. Octavia sends Clarke and Madi out of the room, to the rover to escape, and you can only watch them leave in shock, wondering if this is the last glimpse you’ll ever get of them.
You hear Octavia yell out, “Arrest the traitors!”
Seconds later Miller clicks handcuffs over your wrists, taking your knife and holster from your thigh, and you don't fight him. For the first time in your life, you go quietly, resigned to your fate as they drag you from the room and to a cell, awaiting certain death.

SPN 15X16 Observations
Alrighty folks! This week, both my TV AND internet were working! (Helped that this past week a repairperson came out and checked things out and turned out our cable box needed to be replaced because the one they’d given us was defective or something.) So, good part of that was that I was able to watch it on my actual TV! Bad news is, that meant I was left trying to take notes on my phone, which isn’t as easy for me as it is on my computer which my keyboard. But ah well. Here are my episode notes and post-watching break-down of what I thought about it.
- getting "IT" vibes
- "IT" vibes still there
- Nyooooooom
- DEAN! YOU DIDN'T TELL HIM YOU BASTARD!!!
(FLASHBACK) - Dang Dean.... "this is our life" Even then he was trying to make Sam accept it. - Poor Sammy - That's a big gun for a little kid...
- Poor (other) kid!
(Commercial thoughts) So this is the second time this season that Cas had a conversation with Dean and then left and Dean lied to Sam about it. So Sam's in the dark still.
First time I think Dean just didn't want to admit his part in Cas leaving. This time, I have a feeling he doesn't want Sam to know what Cas (probably) said about Jack. Maybe thinks Sam will try to stop the plan. And Dean wants it to happen? Because at least this time it's not them making the sacrifice? *salty*
- Dean's pretty quick to call it. (That it's not their kind of thing.)
- Ring??
- He brought the ring back
- That woke her up
- NOW he (Dean) believes her...
(Commercial) Dean is closing down connections between him and the people he usually connects with. Like, it's harder to hold onto those. Like, he's willing to let Jack go (I think) And he was ready to write off Caitlin's brother.
Also tied up with his slef image. He thought he'd taken care of it back then. She prayed on his sense of duty and shame of failure.
Interesting that the knife wasn't really there.
Could it have killed him anyway?
- "We used to keep a lot of secrets from each other."
- I still hate how Dean gets lumped up as "Sam and Dean" as if his POV is the only one important. (Reference to what Billy told Jack to get him to agree. It was pitched as if his sacrifice to take out Chuck is the only way to earn both their forgiveness. But that's only true for Dean. Not Sam.)
- Dean knows Sam isn't going to like it. That's why he hasn't told him yet.
- BABA YAGA!!! (Wonder if there'll be any references to her hut on chicken legs.)
- *LOL* Poor bong girl.
- So, hallucinating or teleportation? (Apparently hallucination)
- Sammy to the rescue?
- Well, he got to help....
(Commercial) (Still disappointed that there was no mention of her hut on chicken legs or the fact that she rode around on a mortar and pestle. She felt more like an SPN interpretation of IT.)
- "You tell the truth more because you know that lies don't make anything better." (Is that an anvil I hear falling in the distance?)
- Okay. That (Dean fessing-up to Sam) predictably went horribly, but I'm glad it did. I'm glad Sam had a freaking voice. And an opinion. And wouldn't let Dean talk him around. Because he's right. It was shitty to hide it from him. And the plan is shitty. He knows what it's like to be the guy who has to die to save the world. And he's right to have ethical questions.
- "You wouldn't have handled it." (Or however it was phrased is Dean's internal justification for why he's right and Sam isn't. And why it was okay to hide it from him.)
(Post-episode thoughts)
(And again, apologies if these aren't exactly coherent.)
I liked the Weechester parts. Gotta admit, it took me a bit to warm up to the new actors, but I think that's mostly because we had Colin Ford for a good long run, and Dylan Everett for a decent amount of time too. I kind of got used to them. But these two did a good job.
I felt the writing for their parts might have had a few continuity issues. This was supposed to be in 1993 right? (Have only watched through it once so far.) So Sam would have been 10-ish (depending on the time of year) and Dean would have been 14. (Probably safe to assume this wasn't intended to be early January.) And it took place sometime after the flashbacks from "Just My Imagination" but before "After School Special" or "Bad Boys" So I found it a bit odd that Sam already is being shown as not wanting to hunt. (When in "Just My Imagination" he wanted to join his Dad and Dean on the hunt. And in After School Special he was definitely not about hunting but he hadn't seemed to considered that he even had the option to try for anything else. So I found it odd that they had a 10-year-old already looking at books about going to college. I feel like maybe if this had taken place a few years later maybe that would have made more sense? Ah well, I still enjoyed it overall.
Now, about the MOTW, I was all giddy when they revealed it was the Baba Yaga. (When I was in band in college, we played a musical piece from "Pictures at an Exhibition" titled "The Hut of the Baba Yaga". And I hadn't heard of it before that so I did some research on it and found out it was basically the Russian folklore version of the Boogy Man. She lived in a hut that walked around on fowls' leggs, and she rode around on a mortar and pestle, and she was greatly feared. So, they got the "greatly feared" part right. But.... (just did some double-checking on the episode) OKAY! So, I take it back. They didn't make a HUGE deal of it, but the motel where it all happened was called the "Rooster's Sunrise". So yey! They did have a nod to the Hut on Fowl's Legs thing! And it's not anything close to a hut, but it does have wooden siding on the upper part of it. (Like, not painted wood, but wooden-wood. *LOL*) Still though, overall I was getting more of an "IT" vibe from it. (At least the old IT, with Tim Curry. I haven't seen the new one.)
I did think they did an overall good job with the creepiness factor. But in the end, it didn't feel like she had much of a personality. She was just kind of there to move the plot where it needed to go.
To me, I felt like most of the emotional weight of the episode was on the secret Dean was keeping from Sam. And you could tell that it was eating at him. But at the same time, he didn't want to go there. Because he knew Sam would react badly.
Before I get to that though, I want to touch on something I mentioned up in my notes, after the conversation Billy and Dean had. She said that she'd gotten Jack to agree to the plan by saying that the only way to earn their forgiveness was by dying to end Chuck's threat. (I know, in this episode she specifically said Dean. But in the last episode, when Jack was telling Cas about it, he'd said Sam and Dean. So either he's merged them together in his head, or Billy did when pitching it, or she just left an open implication and he took it.) Either way, there's still that idea floating around out there that Sam and Dean are a matched-set, and that what one wants, the other wants too. Despite the fact that that's not how it plays out. And despite the fact that Sam has pretty openly shown Jack that he's forgiven him, and cares about him, and that Jack doesn't need to "earn" his affection. So why is Dean the only one who matters here?
Maybe it's the writers lumping them both together when convenient? But the fight between Sam and Dean at the end of this episode shows that they're not on the same page as far as Jack is concerned, so the writers DO know. Does Billy see them as a single unit? Or is it the opposite? Has she been coming to Dean with her plans and talks because it's easier for her to manipulate him? Because Sam's the one who stops to ask things like "Does Amara deserve to die? Does Jack deserve to die? Is there another way to do this? (Should I maybe NOT lock myself into a coffin and then yeet myself into the ocean?)" She was pretty firm to Dean about "getting his house in order" because she wants the plan to go smoothly. Is that because she knows Sam could/would find a way to stop it if he's not on-board? I mean, old Death was very aware of how persistent Sam could be if he put his mind to something.
Anyway, forgive my ramblings. Most of my questions don't have answers yet, but sometimes it helps to get them actually written out.
As for the fight between the brothers at the end, I'm actually glad it happened. I get where Dean is coming from. He's focused on the goal (getting out from under Chuck's control) and especially since he and Sam aren't the sacrificial lambs this time around, he's willing to let Jack do what he needs to do in order to get the job done. Especially since Jack seems to be willing.
(Though I do have issues with the fact that Jack is willing because he thinks it's the ONLY way he can earn forgiveness. But, that is yet another parallel to Sam from S5, who not only knew and accepted that he was the only one who could stop Lucifer, but that it was all apparently his fault and he needed to atone. When in fact, he was just one of MANY who'd had a hand in the Apocalypse happening. And I'd say most of the blame for it fell on the angels and demons. Both Winchesters broke seals without knowing it. Sam thought he was outright preventing a seal from being broken. But regardless... I wonder if Sam sees this too, at least from the perspective of "I know what this feels like, and it sucks, and Jack doesn't deserve this, and there HAS to be some other way!" I guess my point is, emotional manipulation can be considered a form of coersion. Letting Jack believe that this is the only way to be forgiven, holding that forgiveness over his head... how much "free will" is actually going on here if that's why he's willing to go through with it?)
Sorry, tangents. I tend to live in them. *LOL* So yeah, while I don't agree with Dean's mindset, I do get why he feels the way he does. And I'm just glad that Sam wasn't written as "a little upset but willing to let it go." Down to his bones he knows this is wrong. And he let Dean know. And I'm also glad that he's asking the questions he's been asking. It's not a weakness as Dean kind of implied. (With the whole "you can't get the job done.") Sam isn't being wishy-washy. He just cares about what's right. Chuck or no Chuck, it still matters to him. And getting what you want "by any means"... well, he's been down that road himself. He knows how that can end. And plus, he cares about Jack. Like, genuinely cares about him, as a person. Not just what he can do for them. Not because he's powerful. But for who he is.
Also, I don't know if it was intentional, or just the way it came off to me, but I feel like... well, for a lot of this season to be honest, Dean's view of what and who is "vitally important" has severely shrunk down. To like, himself and Sam. I'm not saying he'll tell everyone to go hang. But I feel like maybe as a reaction to finding out how much of their lives were "set-up" he kind of withdrew emotionally. He's more willing to let go of other people they care about. The connections he forms don't feel as strong as they used to even a season or two ago. Like, in "The Gamblers", he felt a little sorry for the other people trapped there, but he was willing to get what they needed and get out of there. Sam was the one who insisted on trying to free them too.
And speaking of Sam, at the end of last season I felt like one of the reasons why he went along with Dean's plan (to lock Jack up) despite how he CLEARLY didn't like it, and everything about it felt wrong, was that at that point in time he severely doubted his own judgement. Because by that point, so many of his decisions which had been made with good intentions and with the best information he'd had at the time wound up blowing-up in his face. (i.e. Training the AU refugees into Hunters to help them with Dean/Michael and then after with just Hunting in general only to have most of them slaughtered by Michael. And him trying to give Nick a chance because he knew what it was like to be branded as evil for things that had been done to you. And he knew what it was like to be a vessel for Lucifer. And then when Nick went off the rails and they caught him that first time, they handed him over to Donna, because he was a human so they thought they'd let human justice deal with him. And then he escaped and hurt Donatello and was trying to free Lucifer, and Sam almost beat him to death but then stopped, because he didn't want to kill him in what he felt was cold blood. (Though I'd argue self-defense would've been valid.) After which Nick hit him repeatedly in the head with a rock and almost DID free Lucifer, which Jack stopped, but that lead to Mary's death and, and, and, the list goes on. So by the time they figured out (somewhat, I don't think they ever got the full story) what happened to Mary, I think Sam was feeling like he couldn't trust his own judgement, and so he let Dean lead. And that... didn't go well.
So I'm glad that he is starting to question again. He'd started to with Mrs. Butters but then everything seemed fine, but as they found out, he should have heeded his instincts and researched her more. And now this. At the end of last season when the idea of Jack dying/being killed came up he said he wasn't okay with it, and he did run to try to stop Dean, but I feel like there's more assertiveness behind it now. He's not saying "Please don't do this!" he's saying "This is NOT okay! I'm NOT going to accept this! No!"
So, in conclusion: Overall I liked the episode, though for me anyway, most of the emotional weight came from the secret Dean was keeping and then what happened when he finally told Sam. I did however like some of the little moments, like young!Dean's line about "We made a pretty good team." and it's callback to the Pilot episode.
I'm sorry this got a bit rambly. Again.

When the past comes back with bite
Pairing: Spike x vampire!reader
Request: Last anon here! Could you write smth where spike meets his ex he stil got feelings for at wolfram and hart, because w/h is settling her super important demon divorce for her?(maybe her hubby is a demon prince or whatever) and during her marriage she changed from shy sweatheart the a bamf? Your work is AWESOMEEEE btw
Warning: cute anecdote(s) about the reader killing people. Swearing. Mention of everyone Spike’s been with.
A/N: Set in Angel S5 so spoilers if you haven’t seen it. I stole demon prince Barvain from an episode of Buffy. I can get a bit carried away with the back story sorry about that lol
Tumblr media
You had been inside the office so long the walls were starting to close in on you. It was getting so desperate you had debated opening the necro-tempered windows and just allowing yourself to be committed back to the earth. This was taking its toll. You were speaking to your lawyer, Mr Gunn, trying to settle what had been a long and messy divorce. And not just messy because you had ‘accidentally’ killed your last lawyer when he suggested that your soon-to-be-ex-husband got the pay-out he didn’t deserve.
To say your husband was a demon prince, was to be hugely inaccurate. You know those emails you get with the sender claiming to be a ‘demon prince sitting on a large pile of jewels just waiting to be given away’? Well, if someone hadn’t heard or received them, they were lucky because his scam had snowballed and taken on many forms over the last few years as humans and demons alike actually fell for it.
“Gunn, this isn’t good enough! I want to speak to the big man”
“Uh, look, you don’t wanna bother him with this, I can sort you”
“I want to speak to Mr Angel. Now” You changed into your game face, but it was just for show. Gunn had really been trying for you, he even got another lawyer upgrade so he could find you more loopholes. He agreed, having heard what you did for a living, not to mention the activities you got up to in your free time. As you were walking through the corridor towards Angel’s office, you heard a familiar voice.
“Y/n… it’s, uh, been a while” the voice spoke and you couldn’t help turning around.
As your eyes connected, your past flashed before you. Stolen moments together with devotion dancing around you like reflection from a kaleidoscope. Your shared love blossoming in dark hideaways, the only sweet thing being your affection for each other.
“Spike!” You exclaimed, moving to hug the vampire you had spent decades with before you had found your husband. This wasn’t how you usually greeted people now, the smile so bright it almost made you cringe but you couldn’t help it. It was really him.
His hand lingered as he hugged you back. He leant into you, as if he wanted to stay there for a while. As if he hadn’t felt and embrace like that in a long time. Your relationship had ended as amicably between you as it could have done, knowing you both needed to part ways. It was one of those, right person, wrong time deals.
“Damn, you know each other? I should have guessed” Gunn said, surrendering and walking past you both. You were one of his most difficult clients. Spike frowned, you were his opposite, how had Gunn decided that? You had been a sweetheart, the one person to soften his evil nature before he had fought for his soul. You were so shy and kind, he had been convinced you had to have a soul hidden on you somewhere.
“How have you been?” You asked, cutting in before the inevitable questions about your very public divorce. He looked panic-stricken at the question, unsure of how exactly to chronicle everything that had happened since you last saw him. He had got back with Drusilla again – big mistake; gone to a little place called Sunnydale; fallen in love with a slayer – didn’t last; and fought to get a soul. He started to open his mouth to say something, but he was cut off by your attention switching to a very grand-looking demon sauntering your way. This, of course, was your husband, the demon prince, and his six-person entourage he never went anywhere without. Your honeymoon wasn’t pleasant. Apparently, he was being represented by a lawyer here too.
“Well, if it isn’t the demon formerly known as my husband” Your smile so achingly fake it was hard to keep up.
“Barvain, demon prince” He tried to shake Spike’s hand but he just stared, crossing his arms.
“Sorry, uh, I don’t care mate” Spike said, looking back at you to try to catch your eye. But your eyes were locked with your ex’s. Staring him down in a way you were often feared for. After a moment of thinking, Barvain’s eyes sparkled, he recognised the description you had given of one of your old lovers.
“Oh, this is the spike? I thought he’d be a little more impressive, all things considered”
“Oi-” Spike started, but you spoke over him.
“Can it, prince of the four corners of fucking nothing”
“Didn’t see you as someone that would run back into a man’s arms like that, but I guess he was always your weakness” He took credit for ‘building you up’ and ‘making you strong’ but your change in attitude was absolutely nothing to do with him.
“Just sore that I’m not crying over the very painless loss of you?” You roll your eyes.
“Yeah, the crying. Tough on the outside but a crumbling mess over your precious Spike inside - I thought marrying you would set you right, but it just made you a vindictive bitch” he quipped, his entourage laughing and joining in as he spoke.
“All right, Barvain, that’s it” You decided, easily changing into your game face and landing blow after blow on the various demons and men that started to walk towards you when you ran at your ex. You easily gained the upper hand, dusting a few vampires that had been taunting you with two swift movements. You went to attack a human but Spike pulled you back both times you tried it. Eventually, you rounded on your ex. If you hurt him, it wouldn’t do you any good - you just wanted to show him you weren’t scared of him. But Spike didn’t know this, so he pulled you back away from him as some lawyers scurried into their offices to lock themselves in so they weren’t caught up in the fight.
Spike had pulled you back but not before you thinned the demon half of his entourage in the process, dust cascading around the corridor like snowfall. You had become somewhat of a fighter. Actually, that was being modest, you had mastered several martial arts, aced weapons training and had made serious money off your talents. People actually came to you if they needed someone threatened or taken out. You were well known and people paid you a lot for it, more than any scam your ex could come up with, hence the messy divorce.
Barvain knew he wasn’t winning in a fight against you, which is why you usually only spoke through lawyers, so he departed with two of his entourage left trailing behind him. Spike turned to you, a mix of impressed and confused. Had he missed something? You were badass all of a sudden. You had never so much as looked at someone wrong when he knew you. He couldn’t help admit that there was something elegant about the way you fought, no matter how brutal.
“Don’t tell me you actually went out with that git” Spike asked, apparently in a bit of a daze. He wasn’t entirely sure he hadn’t just dreamed you mercilessly beating up that group without so much as a pause for an unneeded breath. It was so different from the meek person he had once fallen for. He could see it was still you, but you had gotten tough.
“I fucking married him!” You sighed, checking your knuckles for any damage and shrugging.
“You never used to swear”
“You never used to care if I killed people” You said softly, not that you ever really had when you had been with him. You ate when he went out and found someone for you but never really went hunting for yourself. You had been shy talking to people, even humans, to try and get them to come with you into an alley to feed. This became a problem when you and Spike had parted ways, you had stuck to animal blood for the most part. Until, your darling husband had all but driven you to killing. You had a lot of free time on your hands after you were married and it was a surprisingly nice tension release.
You both stared at each other for a moment, you were now stood agonisingly close together. Feelings both of you had never quite forgotten igniting easily. Your gaze never faltered from the other, until Spike finally spoke up, “Drink then?”
“Oh, you bet” You confirmed, following him out.
“To love” He toasted sarcastically, as your bottles clinked together at the bar he had brought you to. Apparently, there was a nice onion flower they served here. You took a sip of your drink, watching him. You had noticed the difference as soon as you cast eyes on him.
“You know, you’re a little different than I remember… tamer perhaps” You teased lightly, his eyes searching your face as if he were trying to memorise every feature, every expression you made in case you disappeared from his life again. Your confidence was so new to him, he really liked it. You had blossomed since he last saw you, but your face was exactly the same.
“You heard about that?” he asked finally, wondering if this meant he was going to have to fight against you one day.
“I didn’t believe it at first, a soul suits you though” You complimented him, he had always been so gentle with you but it was so fascinating to see how he coped with a soul.
“And your new attitude suits you” He added, a nod of approval and a smile on his lips as your eyes locked. He had never once stopped thinking about you. He had been with people since you, Drusilla for a while. Harmony, even the Slayer. But even through that, his mind had always wondered to you. Thinking what you might have been up to. Wishing you had stayed in contact. Hoping against everything that you had kept yourself safe, not getting yourself caught. You had been so sweet, he had been scared you would have let someone dust you for being an inconvenience.
The look in his eyes told you he was reminiscing as you were, remembering the times you had spent together. He moved in, closing the gap between you, lips meeting yours so gently you were surprised it was him. After you adjusted, the kiss as sweet as the one you shared to say goodbye, his hand moved to cup your cheek as you rested a hand on his chest.
The kiss reminding you of how you were back then. How you were his. You wouldn’t change back to how you were, but you wouldn’t mind getting to know him again. Your lips moving against each other, as if no time had passed. He clung onto you, as if he were scared you were an apparition of his own design. He tried to deepen the kiss but you knew it wasn’t wise. You were still technically married after all. You moved from him, smiling and telling him you should go, getting up to leave.
“Will I see you again?” he asked, the desperation in his eyes fuelled by more than the one beer he had been nursing since you arrived at the bar.
“Oh, Spike, I really hope so” You said honestly, smiling at him before sauntering out of the bar, knowing for a fact that he was watching you walk out.

post--“620″ ramblings about stuff & things
so 620 picks up one week after the succulent goose incident. Despite those 7 days, our Red remains as angry and hurt as he was before (if not more), which is our first key point. “I can neither kill... nor trust... nor forgive.” It’s quite an unsettling thing to hear, to say the least, and Liz, unsettled, immediately counters w/ “You forgave Dembe.” This Liz vs Dembe thread that’s been earnestly pulled on since 618 gives us the second key. It reaches all the way back to the first episode of this season where it gets established why such a comparison is not working as an argument: “That’s different.”
In both 620 and 601 we have a moment where Liz and Red try to drag poor Dembe in between them as an “example” to deflect pressure, but each immediately rejects this stunt bc they both know that the nature of their relationship is different. The forgiveness of a parent (figure) is not forthcoming for Liz bc Red’s feelings for her are not really those of a parent. This exact issue emerged after her faked death, too, and Bokenkamp touched upon Red’s point of view already, i.e. how the parent figure would have to forgive but the romantic partner is, in fact, conflicted [x]. But I’ve already written a longer piece on this duality, so I won’t get into it here.
And Red’s been struggling. He is heartbroken again and not as a parent. A parent’s heartbreak is equated to “being impaled by a unicorn” and -- still barred from being in her life -- it’s little Agnes whom Red watches riding a unicorn on the carousel. :)
With Liz, Red is suffering through something else that 100% parallels what Liz went through w/ Tom re, love, betrayal, and forgiveness. She was in limbo where she couldn’t kill, she couldn’t trust, she couldn’t forgive. She lost control and cold fury was the only way to get some of it back. And then she gave in to hope and “forgave every lie and believed every promise” only to get betrayed again. Red describes his predicament the same way: she “has lied and deceived me and I've forgiven her every time” and “I knew but I let my hopes convince me that she wouldn’t betray me.” This ties straight back to the idea of being in love == being rendered powerless, which is part of a larger quote from James about self-deception vs true romantic love. Part of this had a cameo in S2 and another is echoed at the end of this episode (the greeting card bit).
The topic of appearance vs truth is the third key that slides neatly into the broader question of Red’s identity. We have two important scenes that poke this issue:
one w/ Ressler when he questions Dom’s story and Liz’s willingness to gloss over the holes to preserve a neat surface appearance: “But is it the truth? Does it make sense that this is the answer?”
and the other is w/ torture master Teddy who points out how Red lives a charade: “The code's like the suit and the hat. You feel good wearing it. Look good, too. Million bucks. But, and I gotta think deep down you know this, it's like lipstick on a pig. It can cover a lotta sins. End of the day, it's still trayf.”
and all this nicely echoes Dom’s words from the previous episode (the “architect of this charade” who’s “stepping into the lie”) and the way Red kicks off the whole show in 101: “Everything about me is a lie.”
Red wears a disguise, is the point. “Raymond Reddington” is a lie he’s been inhabiting for a yet to be fully uncovered purpose. But ever since he met Liz, he’s been longing to break from this. It’s clearly expressed in all those emotional moments he shares w/ her, e.g.:
“I haven't been home in years. But if anyone can give me a second chance, it's you.”
“Sailors have been navigating by the stars for thousands of years. Odysseus spent a decade at war. But his biggest battle was finding his way home. That's Polaris, the North Star. That's how sailors used to find their way home. When I look at you, that's what I see. I see my way home.”
“It may be hard for you to imagine, but I once had a relatively normal life... bills to pay, play dates, family, some friends, people to care about. Lost all that. // Lost how? // In Mexico, there are these fish that have colonized the freshwater caves along Sierra del Abra. They were lost. They found themselves living in complete darkness. But they didn't die. Instead, they thrived. They adapted. They lost their pigmentation, their sight, eventually even their eyes. With survival, they became... hideous. I've rarely thought about what I once... was. But I wonder...if a ray of light were to make it into the cave, would I be able to see it? Or feel it? Would I gravitate to its warmth? And if I did, would I become... less hideous?”
When Red looks at Liz and Agnes, the deep longing for that past self w/ a wife and daughter stirs in him. It surfaces when she tells him her simple yet distant dream of walking in the park w/ her husband and daughter. They want the exact same thing. This is consistent throughout the seasons. He’s been gently signaling this to her and she’s been fleeing from it bc he is just... too much and the idea of him in that role in her life is an attractive yet scary image (see her steamy dream of him in S2 that blends sensuality and dread as Red, having murdered her husband, stalks up to her bed asking what she really wants).
Red’s anger as a way to reestablish a semblance of soothing control and Liz’s refusal to face the truth to protect herself are what we have in that last scene in 620. “father figure” is a buffer zone, always has been, it’s part of the charade Red lives while wearing Reddington’s identity. Despite having pushed for the truth, she is now trying to lock him into this lie, telling him that that’s what he will always be. And if you keep in mind those quotes above that show how Red longs for a past life around her, then you can see how her words likely inflict more pain.
This brings another quote from Red to mind:
“You said something before. The truth doesn’t matter, that the only thing in this world that matters is just the appearance of truth. I fear you might be right about that. Lately I find that the truth has become… so elusive. Often imaginary. But in the end, it’s all that we’re left with, isn’t it? What is real, what you can taste and touch and feel. The words that pass between us as we look each other in the eye are… all we have to hold on to. The truth. I hold it dear.”
In their first scene where Liz talks about finally having the opportunity to be completely honest w/ each other, they sit face to face. And then promptly dance back from it all, esp Red. Then she soon admits to Ressler that she might be closing her eyes to the whole truth to keep things simple, safe and "sweet”. And so in their last scene, there is no eye contact at all as she tells Red that it doesn’t matter who he once was (never mind that months ago she was willing to put him in jail to find out) bc this fake identity is who he is and who he will always be, which apparently dictates that he must play father and grandfather.
The sheer arrogance and presumptuousness of this statement are already begging for a strong rebuttal but it also nicely reflects Liz’s tendency to make things about herself while brushing aside how others might feel or think. She did this w/ Tom when she refused to see who he really was and tried to convince herself he’d changed. And she does this to Ressler, too, when she tells him she knows he did everything bc he thought it was what was best for her, never mind that that was not Ressler’s motivation at all and he, in fact, said that to her already. Her last scene w/ Red has this vibe to it.
The fact that Agnes is part of this park scene is no coincidence, imo. Red is not comfortable w/ playing Liz’s dad. If he were, he wouldn’t have denied being her dad when she asked him in S1 (since wearing Reddington’s identity provides the wiggle room here), he wouldn’t have winced and cringed every time she referred to him as “father” in S5, and he wouldn’t have had the same reaction at the end of 620, either. He doesn’t embrace it, he doesn’t like it, he just endures it. There was a (sadly discarded) line back in S1/S2 about how he would be willing to play any role she wanted him to play but I believe something has changed since then. Even back in 102, he enthusiastically offers her the role of girlfriend and when she refuses, he flatly tells her that she can play daughter then. The preference on his part seems consistent but it will always be up to Liz to give the green light. Or the red one.
He wants to be a father to Agnes and he’s already confessed it in 319 (“I would give anything to be a part of that child's life... hold her... watch her grow.”). And the only time during the park scene when we can see the cold tension melt off him is when he sees the little girl. And when he hears Liz’s decision to bring Agnes home, his stony demeanor crumbles completely.
This is also where another part of that quote from James mentioned above seeps into the dialog: when Red remarks that Liz’s code is not a code but a greeting card -- confused, self-deceiving bullshit (just like Teddy called his code part of a charade designed to hide the scary truth). They are still not being honest w/ each other, they don’t look each other in the eye, they are still dancing around the actual truth at the core of their relationship. Red is deeply hurt, all his hopes seemingly dashed, which drives him to clam up even more and detach to mitigate the pain. He can’t kill but he can try and kill his true feelings for her, I suppose. And Liz is still afraid to face what it is exactly that fuels his intimate commitment to her, so she draws a line in the sand, declaring it permanent. But...
“You know the problem with drawing lines in the sand? With a breath of air, they disappear.”
James stated -- while talking about TBL -- that he’s not interested in material that doesn’t have a romantic/sexual aspect to explore. He also said that he is fascinated by Red and Liz’s relationship, that Red’s feelings for her are strong, complex, and complicated, and that neither is sure of the true nature of their relationship.
so bottom line (to quote Ressler who’s fast becoming the only voice of reason now that Dembe left): Red locked in the surrogate parent role just bc he wears Reddington’s identity for a different, still mostly unknown purpose -- is it the truth? does it make sense that this is the answer?
nope.
And I think it’s interesting that Cooper was designated as a “spokesperson” when he is in the dark about what happened between Red and Liz: the one who is mostly in the dark speaks about a family bond but his assessment (of love, faith, commitment) could easily pass for a wedding vow, too. It’s nothing but fitting, imo.
This latest fallout created a huge fracture in the Red/Liz relationship and I don’t expect them to repair it in the 2 episodes we have left this season. But Agnes is back and I think she will be the glue for these two idiots in the long run, allowing them to slip into a family rhythm that could potentially coax some buried feelings to the surface -- feelings both are trying to ignore at the moment.

A Memori Fic Rec
Hi Friends! In the spirit of celebrating memori engagement week I’ve decided to celebrate some of my favorite fics! Under the cut are a range of fics in different genres and ratings, divided between canon fics and AUs. It’s long but by no means exhaustive. All these fics are completed ;) Happy reading!
Canon Compliant Fics
How All This, And Love Too, Will Ruin Us by biextroverts
Rating: T, One-shot; Genre: Found Family/Angst
Emori finds a family and loses a lover on the Ring.
A great Ring fic that covers the six years in space. I’ve only read it once because it made me That Sad, which is really a testament to how well writting and IC it is, so if you’re a sucker for angst and raven&emori friendship definitely give this a read.
The Lotus Eaters by maelidify: @maelidpoetree
Rating: M (no smut), One shot; Genre: Fluff, Character Study
“I don’t like this place, John,” she said. “We’re not safe here.”
Am I partial to this fic because it was a gift to me? Yes, but I firmly believe that more people need to read it and that the author deserves more recognition in general! This pre 4.08 science island fic is sweet and romantic but explores inner conflicts of nature in such a beautiful way (with some awesome anecdotes and metaphors). All her writing is beautiful and poetic and it’s worth your while to go through her memori tag to find/read the stuff she hasn’t posted on AO3.
Cataclysmic by maelidify; @maelidpoetree
Rating: E (by author request don’t read if you’re not 18+) One-shot, Genre: Angst
She’s looking up at him, half angry, half looking for permission for something. For what—?
Oh.
More breakup angst!! This remains the best Murphy POV I’ve read, it’s messy and angry and sad and the fic tears me up a little every time. I’d even recommend this to people who don’t like/read smut because, while present, it’s tasteful and really this fic is about all the emotions. If the two fics in a row haven’t clued you in just read everything Liz writes, because I don’t have space to talk about all her fics but they are all worth your time!!
First Impressions by interlude; @bombshellsandbluebells
Rating: T, One-shot; Genre: Drama
John Murphy comes back to Arkadia with an unfamiliar grounder woman. The Arkadians and former delinquents react.
(Or: Memori seen from different points of view. Takes places between 4x03 and 4x04.)
Personally I’m a big sucker for outsider POV fics, and the author does a great job with keeping all those outsiders in character and addressing their most pressing motivations while keeping memori in the spotlight of the fic. The story has all the urgency present in s4 and fills in some of the gaps nicely!
The Wild by Debate; @stupidspaceseven
Rated: M, Multichapter; Genre: Fluff
When Emori points up at the sky, it’s with a pointer finger twice the width of his own. He locks away the knowledge that she trusts him deep inside his chest.
[Post Wanheda 2, detailing Murphy and Emori's early season 3 adventures as they grow to mean the world to each other.]
This one is a shameless self-promotion, but I’m recommending it because I think it’s really good!! Fun shenanigans, theft, first kisses, angsty backstory reveals, smut, this fic basically has the works, and I’m like, 98% sure it’s the longest memori canon complaint fic out there. (I have a host of other memori fics, canon compliant and otherwise if you want to check those out too, but this one’s my personal favorite).
Canon Divergent AUs
Her What If List by the_most_beautiful_broom; @the-most-beautiful-broom
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Meet Cute/Ugly
Memori Appreciation Week: Day One: Canon Divergence
Emori and Otan's latest robbery goes awry when the mark ends up being very much awake, but all's well that end's well, and an unexpected connection is made in the middle of the desert.
And she wonders if his eyes weren’t just sad, that they were just asleep. Because maybe it’s the fire, or the fading adrenaline, but now Emori can swear his eyes are sparkling. Which is a stupid thing to think. She’s in the middle of the dead zone, with a gun that isn’t a gun, and a man who could be conning her just like she’s trying to con him.
A really imaginative AU with Grounder!Murphy. This puts our characters in a familiar situation but makes it new and unique. Emori’s POV is both critical and vulnerable and the memori banter is amazing!
home is what the heart protects by emperor_bell
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Family/Friendship
"John Murphy had lived a hundred lifetimes in his year on the ground and yet still, somehow, after a year of living in space again, nineteen year old John Murphy hears the word “dad” and his first thought is 'I’m too young.'"
I'm obsessed with the thought of Emori having a baby in space, and I set out to write Memori parents. Instead I wrote 2k words of John Murphy feelings. Enjoy.
More messy feelings! The dialogue here and what characters (mostly Murphy) do versus what they think and say is really interesting and makes for an engaging read. Plus a look at how complicated memori as parents would be and a super angsty sequel if that’s the kind of thing you’re into!
Taking A Village by Zaffie
Rated: M, Multichapter; Genre: Found Family/Survival
Once they get it all sorted, the technical aspect of living on the Ring turns out to be the easy part. It's the rest which is hard. Everyone's got their personal demons to face - except when you're seven people trapped together for five-plus years, "personal" is easier said than done.
This one is much less memori-centric than spacekru-centric, but it’s probably my favorite Ring fic, and the AU aspects just make it better. Both Murphy and Emori are incredibly in character and their chapter is beautiful and sad. If you happen to also be a big Spacekru or Raven fan this fic is a must. Also there’s a great sequel in the works!
I know the sound of your heart by dylanobrienisbatman; @dylanobrienisbatman
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Fluff
Bellamy fought hard, and got them the 80 acres on the edge of the valley. They built a house, big enough for all of them, they had a farm, they were happy and safe. Emori should be happy, she should feel like it was enough, but it wasn't. She and John were still apart, and their history made her scared to try.
But as time went on, she watched as John became part of the group. She kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, but the longer she waited, the more it seemed like he was really better.
Was it time to give him another chance?
The soft spacekru feels in this one are almost as great as the memori ones which feature reconciliation and addressing their s5 issues in a healthy way. The lead up to them getting back together is as good the second go around as in the first.
eat, drink, and be merry by flowermasters
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Fluff
Murphy and Emori do what they can to improve morale.
So this is the wedding fic that everybody needs in these hours. There’s a healthy dose of spacekru to make it all the ore sweeter and Murphy and Emori are adorably in love while trying to maintain their aloof and uncaring reputations. This fic did so much to heal my soul while in the depth of the s5 angst.
In This Valley by Kats_watermelon; @katswatermelon
Rating: T, One-shot; Genre: Angst/Fluff/Kidfic
written for day 1 of memori week, prompt: canon divergence
This is mostly a really fun spec fic if God Complex went worse and Murphy and Emori got six years alone on Earth. There are big shifts in tone from the start to the end of the fic, but they feel earned and memori have a cure kid in addition to Madi and you get to see them square up with Diyoza asap. Something for everyone!
Life After the Mountain by Ghelik; @ghelikblack
Rating: T, Series of One-shots; Genre: Hurt/Comfort
The Mountain falls and the grounders keep their distance, because the Sky-People are soldiers that have earned their respect and the lands of the Mountain that they have conquered. Which is good, because skaikru might need a break.
Series of one-shots in an AU where season 3 kind of didn't happen, but elements of it might be borrowed from.
This one is a little different because it’s a series of one shots and not all of them deal with memori but the fair majority of them do, and it’s a great what-if of how Murphy and Emori learn to function in society in a (sort of) kinder world. There’s lots of angst and vulnerability and feelings of inadequacy as well as fluff and healing. The fics span genres so there’s probably something for everybody!
Burn brighter than we ever have before by Zoadgo; @jonnmurphy
Rating: G, One-shot; Genre: Drama
Murphy flees an unknown threat in the Promised Land, running right back to the desert that almost killed him the first time he crossed it. It seems intent on fixing its past failures, and Murphy isn't strong enough to fight it on his own, this time. But someone from his past offers him a chance to survive, and even to prosper in the Dead Zone. That is, if he can bring himself to trust someone who has already betrayed him once.
Another great Murphy POV with additional cool (or hot, rather) desert descriptions and personal conflict. It’s a cool what-if and explores how things could have gone down if t100 didn’t go full scifi. Most of all Murphy and Emori’s understandings of each other/immediate connection shine through.
Show Them the Mercy They Won’t Find on Earth by berxnica
Rating: NA (no smut), One-shot; Genre: Drama
she just showed up swollen and scared, eyes so impossibly big that they left no room for a smile. she pulled murphy aside and removed the blanket that she previously was clutching to her stomach. and there it was, her stomach, swollen and full and round with the promise of life.
Another memori becoming parents fic, but in a different era. The character understanding shines through in the prose here. Our faves are suspicious and afraid and angry while still being soft with one another. If kidfic is your thing at all it’s def worth your time!
Earth Skills: Reap What You Sow by BeaRyan
Rating: E, Multichapter; Genre: Crack/Smut
That week everyone got high on mutant corn and John Murphy realized juvenile prison might not have taught him everything he needed to know about how to please a woman. Canon adjacent.
This is a Memori story from John Murphy's snark-tastic POV and as such contains minor whomp of everyone. Complete.
This story contains a multitude of side pairings, but it is really good for a laugh, and despite being cracky Murphy and Emori’s feelings are very real and present and sweet. A grand ‘ole fic.
AUs
Litany by infernalandmortal; @infernalandmortal
Rating: T, Mulichapter; Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort
After leaving an abusive relationship, Murphy moves into his best friend's house. He's fine, really. Their new roommate comes with more than enough baggage of her own.
(A Memori college AU)
If you read memori fic chances are you’ve read this, but it’s definitely worth reiterating! Great writing really brings forth raw emotions from both Murphy and Emori’s POVs and a lot of reading this fic is like getting sucker punched in the best way. There’s also a nice side helping of found family feels, and you get it all in Amanda’s lovely prose (her setting descriptions? kill me) truly a must read.
Little Beast by infernalandmortal: @infernalandmortal
Rating: T, Multichapter
Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort
John meets her eyes from across the room. What are you running from? his eyes ask.
Nothing, she blinks back. Everything.
“Will I see you again?” His eyes are trying not to be earnest. They are a strange shade of blue-green in the flickering yellow street light outside her house. They are uncomfortably difficult to read.
“Maybe.” It’s all she can give. She’s supposed to fear boys like this. “I’d like to.”
(A Memori-centric small-town AU. Title and opening excerpts from Little Beast by Richard Siken.)
Less angsty than Litany, but no less emotional, this fic is *chef’s kiss*. The fic features Murphy and Emori growing together and becoming family with one another while trying to manage their pasts. The growth the characters have through the fic is amazing and the ending make me feel all kinds of Soft. There are also bonus drabbles in the same ‘verse. And after you read those you might as well read everything else by this author because her stories are numerous and amazing.
Don’t be surprised if I love you (for all that you are) by not_a_total_basket_case; @raven-reyes-of-sunshine
Rating: G, One-shot
Genre: Fluff
Emori doens't want to find her soulmate, she wants to make that choice herself.
Who doesn’t like a good soulmate AU? The mechanics of soulmates in this AU are really unique and structured in a way to make the payoff at the end all the better. It’s a great friends to lovers story, and the supporting cast is lovely too, this fic make you feel all warm inside.
Tired of Yourself and All of Your Creations by Chash
Rating: T, One-shot
Genre: Fluff/Drama
Murphy didn't ask to be successful and relatively wealthy and friends with people in good standing in society. It just sort of happened, and now there are all these families who apparently think he'd be a good match for their daughters. Being a respectable member of society is a pain, really.
I certainly didn’t know I needed a memori Regancy!AU until I read this, but the characterizations were picture perfect and the plot quick and smart without getting pulled down by the type of dialogue common in regency writing. A very fun AU!
Quiet Thought Come Floating Down and Settle by LayALioness
Rating: T, One-shot; Genre: Drama/Fluff
When Murphy meets the girl, it’s not under the best circumstances.
A great example of canon transferred to modern AU well with prickly Murphy and mysterious Emori. The story is fast paced and all of Murphy’s inner musings and snark are highly amusing.
traitors never win by Kats_watermelon; @katswatermelon
Rating: T, Multichapter; Genre: Crime/Drama
Murphy's been kicked out of his crew. Emori's been alone for a while now. They both have a knack for robbery and dreams bigger than their pasts, and they're willing to steal from anyone and everyone to prove it.
If you like the high drama this is for you, a very edge of your seat read with a great payoff at the end. Lovely dialogue as well and a combo of both Murphy’s and Emori’s POVs.
Golden by frikdreina;
Rating: E, One-shot; Genre: Smut/Fluff
It was their two years anniversary and Emori had planned this for weeks. Murphy would be at her place after seven and Emori skipped her last period so she could get everything done before he got there. Her heart was pounding as she unlocked the door to her apartment, the thrill of anticipation taking over her. It was like if electricity was running through her veins and she couldn’t get enough of it, with her mind drifting to the way he kissed her and how his touch had always felt right on her skin.
If you’re just looking for some hot and sweet memori smut this is the fic for you! Doesn’t get into anything too kinky and remains intimate throughout with great descriptions.
she’s the tear in my heart by flowermasters
Rating: M, One-shot; Genre: Fluff/Drama
Murphy is in love with the girl he's sleeping with, and is incredibly bad at handling it.
Oh man This Fic. The banter is amazing and full of little call backs and tie ins, the descriptions speak to Murphy and Emori so well and transfer to a modern AU so easily. The fic is lovely and if you want something where Murphy and Emori are just dumb about their feelings than this is for you. Another author to keep your eye on if you like memori (or becho) fics.

Tie a Yellow Ribbon For Me
Fandom: Supernatural
Summary: Roses are red, Violets are blue, Even death can’t keep him From finding his way back to you.
Quick facts: Romance – [established] Gabriel/Reader – Nondescript Reader
Warnings: Angst-ish with a happy ending, many flashbacks handle it, use of ‘sugar’ as a term of endearment for a gender-neutral reader
Prompt: Written for @gabriel-monthly-challenge’s February prompt: Spin the Wheel. I landed on “A Dozen Red Roses”. Tagging @archangelgabriellives, @archangel-with-a-shotgun , @archangelsanonymous, @ttttrickster, @warlockwriter, and @revwinchester.
Words: 2459
Special Context Note: For people who might not know: “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree” was a popular song in the seventies (I think?) performed by Dawn feat. Tony Orlando (I do recommend it; it’s a good song). It’s told from the perspective of a man writing to his lover after having been away for a few years. He tells her that if she wants him still, she can tie a yellow ribbon around a certain tree and he’ll come home, but if he doesn’t see it, he’ll assume she doesn’t want him back and he’ll keep going and never bother her again.
A/N: That summary is a little more sinister than I intended. Sorry, no dark!Gabriel here. Or “The Crow” AU. (Though hm, that’s a possible idea.) This is kind of an alt S5 post-“Hammer of the Gods” where Gabriel doesn’t go to Loki et al. This is sort of similar in premise to some other stuff I’ve written so I apologize to the people who follow me. Ironically, despite the title, this story was actually written to repeat listening of “11 Minutes” by Halsey and Yungblud feat Travis Barker ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Please enjoy! (PS: In case my formatting gets fucked up, flashbacks are encompassed by tildes (~).)
You feel like you’ve gotten used to the silence.
Sure, you had periods of it before– spending 24/7 with a sometimes-manic archangel is a pre-requisite for madness– but those quiet moments without him had always felt like in-betweens. Small breaks, or minor reprieves, sometimes purposefully taken, and sometimes just waiting. Gabriel could have popped in at any moment.
Now he can’t.
You can say you’re mostly okay now. Mostly. You’ve lost before and you’ll lose again. It’s the nature of things, just being in the world as it is. Being a hunter in it means you’ll do it over and over and over again.
It doesn’t make it ache any less.
But you’re still going, because it’s what you’ve always done and it’s what you’ll always do. Right now you’re on your way to a small desert town that seems convinced it’s living out the movie “Tremors,” and going by the reports, you can see why. You feel a smile creep onto your lips. Gabriel would have found it funny.
~
“Have you been terrorizing a small city in Wisconsin in your spare time?” you ask and flick Gabriel with your big toe.
“Ooo, Wisconsin. Sounds like a party,” Gabriel says out loud, but the look he gives you asks, ‘Really?’ and he holds out a piece of whatever candy he’s focused on now. You trade him for the paper and take a bite while he skims the story.
He snorts and tosses it down. “Amateur. Credit for style though; there’s worse you could do than a Mel Brooks homage.”
You roll your eyes and finish swallowing. “I’m sure the three victims would agree with you, if they could.” You fold up the newspaper and set it aside from the massive stack of other regional papers that Gabriel had whined about, and yet gotten for you anyway. “I’ll head out tomorrow.”
“So you’re done working now?” Gabriel asks. He sits up and puts a piece of chocolate between his teeth, makes sure half of it is sticking out, and waggles his eyebrows.
You laugh and lean forward, bracing yourself with your hands as you stretch to meet his mouth with yours. Just as you’re about to gently bite on the chocolate, it vanishes, and Gabriel slips his tongue into your mouth instead.
Once you’ve had your fill of each other (for the moment) you can’t help how big you smile. “You’re so cheesy sometimes.”
He grins. “Sugar, you have no idea.”
~
You need a shower.
Badly.
You don’t feel the slime as much as you did when the constructs first exploded, but you don’t count that as a good thing, because it’s still there and you keep getting reminded of that whenever you shift. The day is dry and warm and a wind rushes across the desert landscape. When you step out of the car a strong gust blows past you and you shield your eyes until the air settles back to its steady pace. You get to your room and put your key in the lock when something catches your eye.
All down the sidewalk are cutouts in the concrete, just spaces of dirt that look like they’re supposed to be planters. Some of them have scattered cacti, but most are empty. Yours was empty, you're fairly certain, but now there’s a spindly long-stemmed something, being blown to the side and clinging to the dirt with nothing but tenacity. You kneel down to get a better look and–
it’s a rose.
Your breath catches in your throat. Not even a desert rose; a real, thorned rose, with petals that have obviously been sandblasted for a while and a thin stem that looks sickly.
But a rose is a rose is a rose is a rose.
~
There are flowers everywhere.
Gabriel really likes this place. He’s been here for a couple of months, and it shows; every day he’s seen you (almost every single day, as of late,) he’s given you flowers– a bouquet of twelve red roses. And, as you haven’t exactly had places to put them, he has graciously offered to ‘keep them somewhere safe.’
So of course there are dozens (of dozens) of roses scattered all around the room, still miraculously alive. Heavy emphasis on the miracle.
“You're the one who said I was cheesy,” Gabriel says and sits down, but puts his drink on the side table. Champagne, of course, and he’s even wearing a ridiculous red and black patterned robe. It’s a testament to how much you like him that you are not making fun of him right now.
But you can admit you do like the roses. The petals are soft and they smell nice. You look up from your bouquet to see Gabriel smiling at you. The softness of his expression throws you off and you hide the lower half of your face in the flowers. “Why always roses?”
“Oh, I don’t know.” His smile turns all trickster. “It’s just what they have at the grocery store.”
You hit him with the bouquet hard enough that he falls off the bed. Well, his mad laughter probably helped, but you’ll still take credit for it. Asshole.
~
Someday, sentiment is going to get you killed.
You pick the rose anyway.
The young couple currently having their first date is pretty cute. Now that you’re not annoyed by them blocking the door, you can appreciate the beginning a new relationship. And it’s going to be one; they’re both all soft smiles and longing glances and dumbstruck lovelorn expressions. One of them keeps fidgeting with their hands, and the other shifts an enormous bouquet from arm to arm. You note the roses, of course, but it’s made up of a lot of other flowers too. It’s very pretty– and must have cost a fortune. You smile. Explains the coffee date.
~
“You work too much.”
“You’re a needy guy, aren’t you?” you ask and glance up from the screen. “Five more minutes, Gabriel. Then I’m all yours.”
He huffs and flops onto the table, head in his arms and pouting and grumbling enough to draw attention. You roll your eyes and, while he’s distracted, kiss the crown of his head.
He stops grumbling. But the next time you take a sip of your drink it’s like shoving pure sugar down your throat and you choke.
His smile is almost as saccharine. “I just wanted to make it as sweet as you.”
You stare at him and calmly wipe your mouth. “Twenty minutes.”
He sputters in protest.
“I’ll knock it down to ten if you walk up to the counter, wait in line, and buy me a replacement. With money.”
He starts muttering again. But he gets up.
~
You look at your computer and think about actually trawling for hunts, but, well, your coffee cup is empty and who can be asked to work under such inhumane conditions? You hop off the stool and almost crunch a stray rose underfoot. It must have been dropped by the happy couple by the door. As you pick it up you wonder how you’re going to interject and give it back, but when you stand, they’re already gone.
You look back at the flower. It’s truly lovely; obviously well cared for (and not just shoved in a fridge at a grocery store, Gabriel). You smile at the thought of his indignance, and set the rose on the table. It would be a shame to let it get thrown out, so you’ll take care of it.
Even at the end of the world, there are still mundane monsters to kill. You’re leaving a very shaken family with one less poltergeist and a lifetime therapy to look forward to (at least they have a have a lifetime, now,) when the youngest daughter runs up to you and holds up a rose. “Here! This is for you.”
Though you thank her and take it, the mom echoes your concerns when she asks, “Honey where did you get that?”
“I found it,” the kid chirps, like that’s all you need to know.
It’s a real rose with almost no thorns and a yellow ribbon tied around the stem. That’s an odd thing to just find. But the house has settled and you figure you can burn this and stick around for a day or two, just in case. You thank the little girl again, bid goodbye to her sisters and parents, and as you go you start to tuck the flower away when you see a small embroidered symbol on the ribbon.
An Enochian symbol.
As you speed away, you barely resist the urge to chuck that fucking flower out the window. You want to. But at the same time, you can’t bring yourself to do it.
Fucking asshole.
~
“I need to understand!”
Gabriel shoves you up against the wall. Not hard enough to hurt, but it does stun you– for a second. His grip is too light and his expression too conflicted for him to convince you what a ‘monster’ he is. “You’re not that kind of person,” you say and stare him down. “So why do you want me to think you are?”
Gabriel jerks, but you grab onto his jacket and yank him back in. “What are you so afraid of, Gabriel?” you whisper. “I’m the one thing in the universe you don’t have to fear.”
Gabriel leans in, close enough to kiss. Your eyes shut on instinct. Or maybe it’s Pavlovian.
“You're the one thing in the universe I have to fear the most.”
Air brushes past your lips, the pressure of his body releases, and you open your eyes to empty space.
~
He had come back within a day, as soon as you had asked, and said ‘I’m sorry’ in every conceivable way without ever saying it with his mouth. (Well, verbally, that is.) At the time, you figured it was fine.
And maybe it was. Now that you’ve had a few days to freak out, get your hopes up and down and all around, you feel a little calmer. You have the roses set aside and the ribbon spread out on the bed while you sit with your Enochian dictionary. Gabriel wouldn’t lead you along willy-nilly. You have faith (just a little) that this means something.
And if this does turn out to be some “Drink your Ovaltine” bullshit you are going to find out how to travel back in time so you can murder him with your own two hands.
It takes a while, but you find the word, and then use a few other dictionaries and translation sites to get it into English. You check it five times, in different ways, and then sit, chest swelling with hope that you’re not sure you can handle.
‘Healing.’
You want to believe, but a rough translation boiled down to its essential part can’t make you Mulder. You put the books away and lean back against the headboard, just trying to process, when something ‘thump!’s against your door. You grab your gun and stay alert as you check the outside area, but as far as you can see, there’s no one.
But there are three roses, piled neatly just in front of the door. You smile. Because really– you’re skeptical, but you’re not stupid. You pick them up and put the flowers to your face while you mind the thorns. You’re pretty good at that by now.
“Okay,” you say and nuzzle the petals. “I’ll wait.”
You find five more roses over the next couple of weeks in utterly random places. On your pillow. In a sewer. In your water glass after you turn away for a second. In the basket you grab at a grocery store. On your passenger seat. That last one makes you ache.
That night, when you open your book and find eight perfectly placed rose petals, you almost cry. Twelve roses. It’s always been a dozen, so that means he’s coming back, right? He doesn’t appear right away, but you go to bed hopeful.
Except he’s not there in the morning.
Or the afternoon.
Or the evening. Or…
It’s late on the third day of waiting and hope is fading fast. You hit your forehead on your steering wheel and whisper, “Where are you?” Did you misread things? Was this set up in advance? Did he mean for you to heal? Was someone messing with–
Your radio comes on without any prompting and you jolt up. You’re so busy trying to look for danger that you don’t recognize the song at first.
“–nt me, if you still want me Whoa tie a yellow ribbon round the ole oak tree…”
You blink. You stop being afraid. And start being annoyed. “Are you fucking serious?”
But the song plays on, and the volume even gets jacked up. “A SIMPLE YELLOW RIBBON’S WHAT I NEED TO SET ME FREE–”
“Okay!” You turn the radio off and sit in silence for a few moments before you burst into tears and laughter both. “Fuck; you’re such an asshole,” you say, with wet eyes and a smile full of teeth.
You consider trying to track down a bonsai or some plastic palm tree, but you’ve waited long enough. Still, when you get back to your room you go through all the motions of getting ready to go to sleep. Once you’re actually sitting on the bed, you put the yellow ribbon to your wrist and manage to tie a messy bow.
You lie down, exhausted by days of constant, immense stress, and sigh. As you drift off to sleep you think, ‘I’m ready, Gabriel.
Come home.’
It happens without fanfare. You simply wake to an arm around your stomach, and a morning still dark.
“Hey,” you say, sleep-addled.
Gabriel chuckles. “Hey.”
You’ve never heard anything so beautiful, even as rough as his voice is. “You sound tired.”
“Yeah.” Gabriel presses closer to you. “Almost getting murdered by your own brother is pretty exhausting.”
“Hm.” That’s a conversation for later. Or never, depending on how stubborn Gabriel wants to be. Either way, not now. Not when you’ve got him back. You turn over and wrap yourself around him. “It’s okay,” you say. “Go to sleep. I’ve got you.”
He gives you a wry smile, but whatever snarky way you expect him to say ‘I don’t sleep’ doesn’t happen. He shuts his eyes, and you hold tight. “I’m glad you came back,” you say. “Even if I don’t have a hundred ribbons.”
He shifts with quiet laughter. “That’s all right.” He holds your wrist and places a kiss that straddles the ribbon and your skin. “I only need the one.”

When do you think Bellamy fell in love with Clarke and when did he realize it? I've been shipping them since the first season and i honestly think they started to develop feelings for each other at the very beginning of the season but especially after the day trip episode
I’ve gotten more than one ask about this, so if you asked this question, here’s the answer. Because I’m going to try to go into it for a bit. When I answered how Clarke fell in love with Bellamy I was expecting this question. So.
Okay, well, I think Bellamy’s process of falling in love with Clarke was both quicker and longer…I will explain. I’m going to have to go back farther with this one.
I think Bellamy was intrigued with Clarke from the beginning. Clarke was intrigued, too, but she had Finn as a romantic interest, so that was where her focus was going. As they built a relationship based on respect and trust and responsibility, instead of the immediate power struggle, which, to be honest, neither of them are REALLY all that interested in. Bellamy tried, but he was more focused on taking care of people than taking power. He couldn’t help it, that was his nature. And that Clarke was also about taking care of them… it was important to him. That she would take care of HIM? When she killed Atom so he didn’t have to? That was the moment when he realized she was something special. OH CRAP. Parallel. She took responsibility for killing Atom because he couldn’t bear it. So in the mountain, HE took on responsibility for killing the mountain because she couldn’t bear it alone. If that was the start of their non-romantic partnership in season 1, when Bellamy let her in, the that was the start of their LOVE RELATIONSHIP in season 2, when Clarke let her feelings for him in. (Okay, but that wasn’t HIS moment. Taking care of HER was not what took him over the edge. It was not a landmark moment for him the way it was for her. Just like killing Atom was not an important thing for her the way it was for him. That’s what makes it a parallel. It was a moment of action that made the other have deeper feelings for them.)
Back to Bellamy’s feelings. His partnership with Clarke was building in season 1 as they do all their delinquent stuff. She asks him on Day Trip with him, because she doesn’t like him. LOL. But that trip bonds them. Bellamy can’t help liking her, he is thrown by the intimacy of their gun lesson and realizes he is indeed very physically attracted to her, so he backs off. Physically. Steps back, shakes it off. See, Bellamy is used to controlling himself, keeping his personal secrets, keeping emotionally distant from other people.
But then comes the fight with Dax (his first kill. which was not only in self defense but in defense of Clarke.) At the tree, when he opens up about being a monster and wanting to run and then Clarke says “I need you,” and he looks at her like he’s amazed because he thinks SHE needs him. But she amends it “we all need you,” and he looks so disappointed. This is the moment I started shipping it. And I think this is the moment when he realizes he WANTS Clarke to like/need/want him. This is the moment when his respect and attraction turns into a CRUSH.
But I do not consider that to be him falling in love with her. It’s just a beginning. When she defends him to Jaha, the crush is confirmed. He’s amazed that she’s on his side. BUT I believe he has decided to NOT pursue it, because their partnership is too important and they are responsible for keeping The 100 alive. So, like Bellamy tends to do, he sacrifices what he wants for the needs of other people. Thus, when Clarke flirts with him in Unity Day, he gets it, but he steers her away and tells her to go have fun, as if she wasn’t just, well, inviting him to have fun. With her.
From here, he resists his attraction and feelings. ALTHOUGH when Clarke goes missing and he thinks she has run off with Finn, I think his feelings are hurt. So when Raven wants to get rebound/revenge sex, he is not just having sex, he is not just helping her out, for him, it’s similar to Raven’s motivations, just not as formed. When he asks Raven if it helps and she says no, he doesn’t look like it helped him either. Helped him with what? He wasn’t jealous, dammit. Or was he? I think he was, but again, resisting it. Pretending he wasn’t.
In season 2, Bellamy is just as concerned with Clarke as Finn is, but he steps back and lets Finn take over. This means he doesn’t have to decide, but he also gets to search for Clarke (and the others) and it isn’t until he is confronted with OTHER people who need him that he realizes he can’t just hunt for Clarke, he has a responsibility. Because that’s who he is, and lets Finn go off alone to find her.
But he’s the one whose arms she hurtles into. He is SHOCKED that she would show him feelings like that and he doesn’t understand what it means. Neither does he. When they go off looking for Finn, the campfire scene is Bellamy realizing that Clarke Griffin is the only other person on earth that he cares about as much as Octavia. She’s the only other person that he would miss if she were gone. (UGH and priaimfaya had him losing them BOTH.) This is the scene that I think is a translation of the one in the book. You can see him turning from Octavia to Clarke. He’s still not “in love” with her, but it’s another step. And he notices it. He still is not making it romantic and he still claims no hold on her. He knows about Finn and he lets it go. But after Finn dies, and Clarke says she can’t lose HIM TOO? He’s kind of blown away that she’s put him on the same level as Finn. He doesn’t know what it means, but it means something.
Then we have the scene where he understands Gustus’ devotion to Lxa innately. Because he felt that himself. I think he gets confused here, because he knows it with Octavia, in a fraternal way, and he can see it with Gustus, which is a platonic or mentor kind of way, and then there’s him and Clarke, which is how again? He doesn’t know. But when we get that scene with Octavia, who already knows that he’s thinking of Clarke, and she warns him about the “thanks” he’d get. And THEN we get Lincoln, who looks at Octavia when Bellamy says “he’d do anything for her,”  and Lincoln and Octavia are 100% romantic. I think that shows the potential for what this devotion means, and it shows that for Bellamy, maybe it’s not clear what it means to HIM.
But when Clarke comes up and tells him it’s worth the risk to send him into the mountain, he does not know that she’s connected love with weakness. So to him, it is confirmation that Clarke has no romantic feelings for Bellamy and does not value him as more than a…. well, knight.
So, Bellamy is her knight. He moves it more into Gustus territory, where he’ll do anything, and sacrifice himself so that he can save “Their People.” It has NOTHING to do with Clarke at this point. His entire trip into MW is NOT about Clarke or his feelings for her. He’s knighting his way along.
HOWEVER, the knight/princess trope is actually a romantic tradition going back to the medieval times, and it was BOTH romantic love AND platonic love. The knights were devoted to their ladies, but it was not at all sexual. Which I think is fitting for their relationship in season 2. (just in case you’re wondering, I think Clarke returns his courtly love feelings, in season 2, and she’s the knight protecting HIM on his quest, until she realizes it’s not platonic and she likes him likes him but that’s the last love discovery meta)
When she left him. She left him heart broken. He was in love, but the courtly love love. Platonically devoted. Or so he thought. He also thought he was okay with that. And he made a life with Gina, even though it wasn’t quite right. And when he found Clarke, all of a sudden, nothing could stop him from going to her and saving her. DEVOTED! right? Normal, right? Right? Monty doesn’t think so, but I don’t think he lets it bother him yet.
And when Clarke refuses to come home when he comes to rescue her from Polis, and Gina dies (he left Gina behind while he went to save Clarke, yikes, guilt,) he feels more than heartbroken, he is DESTROYED. And betrayed. Abandoned. More than leaving him outside of Camp Jaha.
He doesn’t see Clarke again until after Hakeldama where she wants him to be her knight again and work for her AND LXA, and he is just like. WTF, look at what you did! And he lays out all her sins and how she HURT him, and this was what it was. It was Clarke, you left ME. You abandoned ME. I needed you. you can’t come back in and just put me to work. And then she starts to cry and he goes to comfort her and takes her wrist and looks up at her and THIS…
THIS is the moment where he looks at her and his jaw drops, because HOLY SHIT HE’S IN LOVE WITH HER.
It isn’t platonic. It isn’t courtly. It isn’t non-romantic partnership. It isn’t just saving people together. He wants HER. He wants her with him. He wants to keep HEr safe. He wants to kiss her. And he freaks out and regresses to caveman Bellamy when the only way to take care of the people he loved was to lock them up and keep them out of danger, so he handcuffs her to keep her from going back to Lxa.
Then she betrays him again and shocklashes him and runs off.
NOW he knows he is in love. But Clarke did not choose him. She chose Lxa again. And when she comes back, they are stiff, but she’s still in love with Lxa and grieving her. And that never lets up, as far as he can tell. Honestly until s4. But he’s committed to being her non-romantic partner, and refuses to think of her like that, even though he is in love with her.
S4 was straight up mutual pining because neither of them thought the other loved them. S5 is a mess. Bellamy’s screwed. But secrets come out, don’t they?

Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3: “They’re looking for me…”
Elliana couldn’t help but smile as The High Priestess came into sight, the slight nostalgia giving her some comfort after a rough month alone. She walked into the bar and started looking for a familiar face.
Standing on the other side of the bar, Jenny, Shane’s adopted daughter, stepped out of the office. She took notice of the emptier bar, used to winter slowing the business down a bit. She looked over at hearing the door open and spotted Elliana – the last person she expected to see right now. Jenny sighed, seeing Ellie looking around, probably expecting to see Shane.
The thought of her predecessor brought back memories of that night and her heart panged with sadness. She could feel tears welling up in her eyes; she shook her head, willing them away, and cleared her throat so she could call out to Ellie.
Ellie heard her and whipped her head in that direction. Her initial excitement at seeing Jenny was quickly put out when she saw the saddened look in her eyes. Looks like we both need someone right now, Elliana thought a bit grimly. So, she walked over, putting on as good a smile as she could muster.
“Hey, Jenny,” she said, pulling the girl into a hug. “Long time no see.”
“Hey, Ellie,” she said softly as she pulled away from her. “How have you been?” she asked, giving a small smile.
Ellie shrugged, her own smile faltering a bit. “Alright. You?”
“Probably not as alright as the façade we’re both putting on right now,” Jenny said, raising an eyebrow as she scanned the slightly younger girl’s face. “C’mon, let’s go talk in the back office,” she gestured for Ellie to follow her.
Elliana let out an airy chuckle at her statement and followed her to the office. Upon entering, Ellie furrowed her brow when it seemed to be lacking someone; and thinking back to Jenny’s melancholy aura, a dark feeling started growing in the pit of her stomach.
“Jenny,” she began, turning to face her. “Where’s Shane?”
Taking a deep breath and sighing, Jenny sat down. She put her face in her hands to collect herself before running her fingers through her hair. “Look, a little while after you left – maybe about 6 months ago…a demon...the demon who killed my family…” she inhaled a shaky breath before continuing. “I was locked in the supply closet and I heard the fighting…and the screaming, but the demon got the better of him. Shane, he…he managed to exorcise it, but when I ran out he…he died in my arms.”
A tear ran down Jenny’s face before she quickly wiped it away and had to force herself to look Ellie in the eyes.
“Oh my gosh…” Ellie whispered, bringing a hand to her mouth to keep her lips from quivering. “Jenny, I’m so sorry,” she said, voice shaking. She reached out to grab her hands in comfort but couldn’t keep the few tears from streaking down her cheeks. She thought for a moment and something dawned on her – what if she had stayed all those months ago?
“I should’ve stayed,” she whispered again. “I might have been able to help…”
Jenny shook her head. “No…no it’s not your fault, don’t even think like that. I blamed myself for months, but Shane knew this life would catch up to him…he prepared for everything…he left all of this to me. Honestly, I didn’t know what shocked me more – his death, or the fact that they targeted me…I still don’t know why and Shane didn’t either,” she finished, shrugging. She sighed and went to change the subject. “So, what brings you here?”
Ellie nodded and wiped her remaining tears away; though she knew the next topic may bring them back anyway.
             Nov. 23, ‘09
In another state, on another case. A woman said she swears the hulk killed her husband. There’ve been a couple other weird events and right now the guys and I are hanging around the motel room with a police scanner set up. So far we’re getting squat and it’s lunchtime so I’m gonna grab us some food.
           (Later)
I came back and Sam and Dean were gone. I found a note on the desk saying they picked something up on the scanner and were going to check it out and they’d text me soon. Said it shouldn’t be a big deal. I wish they would have taken me with them but whatever. I won’t say no to a break.
Ellie took a deep breath and let it out in a shaky sigh, shrugging a bit.
“Just trying to find where I belong again I guess,” she said, eyes downcast. “I was on a hunt in Missouri a couple months ago and these two hunters came in and ended up helping a bit. They took me with them for a bit, trying to get me to stay with them permanently; I didn’t want to at first but gave in and after two weeks…I didn’t want to leave,” she explained, smiling a bit now at how fond she had grown of Sam and Dean after those two weeks.
Ellie’s heart clenched a little when she continued, “But uh… they just kind of vanished one day… said they were checking something out for the case we were working and would text me soon and…they never did. I tried looking for them but came up with nothing… I guess they just left me,” she shrugged, quickly wiping a few stray tears away. “They were so nice though… it seemed like they really cared… and I just don’t know what to do now…”
Jenny froze, knowing full well who the hunters were that Ellie was talking about. Shane had warned her about them in the letter he left for Jenny. She still asked though, just to confirm her suspicions – “Who are these hunters you are talking about?”
“Their names are Sam and Dean.”
           Jenny paused again. “Winchester?”
“Yeah…” Elliana said, quirking an eyebrow.
“Look, Ellie – I’ve picked up the business from Shane, both the bar and the hunting… Shane warned me about the Winchesters and other hunters have spoken about them around here. Anyone who gets mixed up with them, well, they end up dead. Perhaps it’s for the best that they left you.”
“He-he was just…he never…” she tried continuing but only ended up letting out a quick sob and being pulled into Sam’s side. She allowed herself to cry into his shoulder and Dean to rub soothing circles on her back in comfort. She hadn’t planned on letting them in so much, but boy did it feel good.
“It’s alright, kid,” Dean said in a hushed tone.
Sam had rested his chin on top of Elliana’s head after a couple minutes of her crying and wrapped his arms around her protectively.
           “You’re alright now,” he soothed.
“Look, kid – whatever else happened to you, you’re safe. And I know you’ve only known us a couple weeks but you’ve grown on us, squirt,” Dean continued, earning a quiet chuckle from Ellie. “If you decide to stay with us, we’ll always protect you.”
“We promise,” Sam came in, confirming Dean’s words.
Though the boys couldn’t see it, Elliana had a smile spreading lightly across her lips and she melted into Sam a little bit more.
Ellie’s heart shuddered for a moment when even Jenny seemed to believe Sam and Dean left her. She sighed and continued to look at the ground.
“I know it’s dangerous, but… I don’t know… it just felt… right being with them.” Elliana had heard some things about the Winchesters being a bit reckless; but there was something in Ellie that couldn’t blame them.
“And I mean, all hunters seem to end up dead anyway,” she continued, simply being honest. “And I’d rather it be around someone than alone.”
Jenny nodded. “That’s a fair point. And I just want you to be safe. I get why Shane kept me in the dark about the whole thing; we’re both still pretty young and still relatively inexperienced when it comes to life, to hunting…” She paused now. “Look, I’ve been networking with a lot of hunters. You are more than welcome to stay here as long as you’d like. If you really want to go back to hunting, maybe networking with other hunters while you’re here may help you.”
“Ok. Thanks,” Elliana said, still missing the boys. “You know, if you want,” she continued with a small smirk. “I could show you a few hunting tricks while I’m here. I won’t say I’m as skilled as any of the hunters here, but I’ve been at it for a little over a year now. Oh and I should probably tell you I have a dog with me now,” Ellie added with a cheesy smile, hoping Anaya would be able to stay with her at the bar as well.
“Perhaps we can show each other some hunting tricks. The hunters out there and even Bobby Singer have been helping adjust to the life more quickly,” Jenny smiled. “And your dog is more than welcome as long as you take care of her and clean up after her.”
“Awesome,” Ellie said with a smile. “Wait, you know Bobby Singer?” she asked after a moment, an incredulous look on her face.
“He and Shane were really close,” Jenny said. “And when Shane died… Bobby showed up and arranged a hunter’s funeral before I made any real funeral arrangements. He also told me about what’s out there and damn near put me in shock – what with everything that happened at the time…” Jenny continued, chuckling a bit. “He finally got me to open the safe Shane had to read what he had left me.”
Elliana smiled a bit; definitely sounded like Bobby.
“Yeah, he’s pretty awesome. I ran into him a few months after I left my home. Helped me a lot. Like Shane did.”
“Did Bobby introduce you to the Winchesters? I know he’s a family friend.”
Ellie shook her head a bit. “No, actually. I didn’t officially meet the boys until I was hunting a grootslang in Missouri.”
“A grootslang, huh? Did you gank it before they did?” Jenny asked, smirking a bit.
Ellie laughed at this. “I would have if there hadn’t been two of them. Dumb things got me pretty good during my first attempt,” she responded, pointing up to the dark scarlet scar across the left side of her face and her casted arm before continuing. “I was actually going to leave ‘cause that broke my confidence quite a bit,” Elliana added, looking down at her feet for a moment. “And they were gonna set up for killing a wendigo so we ended up helping each other. They would’ve died hunting the wrong thing; and they helped me corner the stupid cryptids so I could kill ‘em.”
“Well, I’m glad you’re doing well on your own… and with the Winchesters. So where is your dog right now?”
I smiled a bit. “She’s outside. Didn’t want to bring her in until I knew it was ok with you.”
“I appreciate that; let’s go get her and we can get you guys settled in the apartment. And, what’s her name, by the way?”
“Anaya. And thank you, Jenny,” Ellie smiled again, before following Jenny out of the office.
A couple days later, Jenny stood behind the bar, wiping it down, while Elliana was learning to play pool from a couple of the older hunters across the room.
Two other hunters were sitting a few feet away from Jenny while chatting about a run in with a couple others. She moved closer to them and asked if they wanted a top off, to which they responded enthusiastically. When she turned around, she heard one of the hunters, Caden, say, “Yeah those Winchesters are something else. I heard an archangel messed with them about a couple weeks ago.”
Jenny perked up and whipped around as Mitch, the other hunter, responded.
“Man, they always get involved with this demon-angel business”
“The Winchesters?” Jenny interjected as she sat their drinks in front of them. Caden looked surprised at her inquiry of them.
“Yeah. I heard that they were trapped in some sort of alternate universe for a few days by some angel. I guess now they’re looking for some girl they’d been hunting with. Who knows what happened to her.”
Jenny nodded and walked over to her office, settled into her chair, and called Bobby. When she asked him about what Caden and Mitch had said, he told her the boys were indeed looking for Ellie. Jenny wanted so much to tell Elliana to stay with her, to not go back to the Winchesters, but Bobby told her that it wasn’t up to her whether Ellie goes back to them or not, and to let her decide.
Letting out a sigh, Jenny left her office and walked over to the pool table Ellie and some other hunters were gathered at.
“Hey, Ellie, we need to talk…”
Ellie snapped her head up at the serious tone in Jenny’s voice; she held a finger up to the hunters and signaled to Anaya to follow her and Jenny as they walked to an empty table on the other side of the bar.
“What’s wrong?” Elliana asked hesitantly, worried something bad might have happened.
Jenny hesitated before telling Ellie what she had just learned. “Look, the Winchesters didn’t abandon you. I just overheard some hunters talking about them and also spoke with Bobby on the phone to double-check… they were sent into a TV land, I guess, by the archangel, Gabriel – I’m not sure whether or not you’ve run into him before.
“Anyway, they’ve been looking for you and asking around. I told Bobby you’re with me, but he knows not to tell them where that is – just that you’re alive and well. Now, you know how I feel about them and I would much rather you stay here… but that decision is yours. But if you do decide to go back to them, I just ask that you don’t tell them about me or Shane or this place.”
By the time Jenny finished talking, Elliana’s heart was leaping and she had a hope-filled smile that spread across her face.
“They’re looking for me…” she whispered, eyes widening a bit.
When she picked back through everything else Jenny said, her smile quickly vanished.
“Wait a second – did you say Gabriel?” Ellie asked, trying to hide the rising anger building up inside her.
Concern filled Jenny’s face. “Wait, have you met Gabriel?”
Multiple emotions and thoughts flowed through Elliana’s mind as she tried to figure out the best way to answer.
“You could say that,” she said, her neck twinging in slight anger at the thought of Gabriel taking the boys without telling her anything. Her hand unconsciously grabbed at the necklace hanging in front of her chest.
“Ellie, what happened?” Jenny pressed, knowing how dangerous Gabriel could be.
Her voice pulled Elliana out of her trance. Ellie sighed, allowing herself to go back to that fateful event where she met the archangel.
“Ok,” she started, sounding a bit defeated. “Did Shane tell you what happened to my parents?”
“All he said in his journal was that they were killed by demons.”
“So, my dad had been possessed and the demon smoked out of him one night before I could exorcise him. My dad wasn’t exactly the happiest when he came to, so I went up to my room and… prayed… a lot. I wanted away from him, but I was mostly scared of the demon coming back.
“I woke up the next day to my parents screaming… the demon was back, but in a different body, and killed my parents. I knew I wouldn’t be able to fight him so… I just fell to my knees and prayed again – asking for someone to save me. Then there was this bright light and… there he was. The demon smoked out again after saying ‘this isn’t over’. Gabriel came up to me, told me the demon would probably come back for me, told me that I had to keep moving and that he would be watching over me.”
Ellie stared down at the table as she finished, her free hand running through Anaya’s fur.
“Oh, Ellie…” Jenny could feel tears welling up in her eyes. “I’m glad Gabriel came through for you,” she said, making Ellie think, yeah but I’m still gonna kill him for taking Sam and Dean.
“Demons killed my family and I just wish I could know why. I still haven’t found the demon that killed my family… killed Shane… do you think our cases are similar?” Jenny continued, looking Elliana in the eyes still.
“I don’t know,” Ellie said honestly. “They could be. When I see Gabe next, I’ll ask without mentioning your name or anything; when he saved me, he seemed to know the demon or something about him. I guess I’ve been so busy running from the demon to think about anything else. That and knowing I wouldn’t be able to face it by myself.”
“Well, if you want my help, I’d be more than happy to help out.”
“Thanks, Jenny. I’ll definitely think about it. But first I think I need to get myself re-situated and try to find myself. But I’ll let you know.”
Jenny nodded before changing the topic. “Anyway, I told Bobby you’d give him a call if you wanted to set everything up with your reunion.”
Elliana smiled at the thought of getting back to Sam and Dean, even though she’d be leaving again. “Thanks – I’ll do that. I know you want me to stay – or at least stay away from the Winchesters but… I just know that’s where I belong. But I promise not to tell them anything about you or the bar and I will definitely keep in touch. After all – we’ll have a demon to catch sometime,” she ended with a small smirk.
Jenny chuckled and knew that Elliana would be able to take care of herself.
“I appreciate the discretion, Ellie. Will you at least stay the night and head out in the morning?”
Elliana agreed and gave Jenny a hug before going off to call Bobby. She walked up to the room she was staying in and dialed the number. As it rang, she ran a hand through her hair as that wide smile came back.
“They’re looking for me,” she whispered, looking down at Anaya, who had no idea what was going on, but picked up on Ellie’s happiness and wagged her tail.

RvB16 Episode 12 Review: Docudrama
Earlier in the week, Joe confirmed that the season’s final episode count would be 15 total. This will make it the series’ shortest season, though Joe has said that the final runtime is the same as S12. My point is, we are in the final stretch my friends. So last week had some mixed responses regarding Tucker... and IDC cause Grif got n Energy Sword! WHOO!!! But now, after ten straight episodes of our heroes being separate, it’s time to bring them back together.
Overview
This episode has a rather interesting premise. You know how movies have those behind the scenes documentaries/features? Well this episode is shot as one, beginning with the actors for Wash and Carolina... having sex... while the two real ones look. Jax wanted sex appeal... though he apparently plans on making a Grimmons scene so you know what? Add all the sex appeal Jax! Also hope you all can tolerate shaky came cause haha... we get light eight straight minutes of it... be afraid people.
So Sister, Tucker, and Grif have just arrived, so at last the gang is back together! We even have Grif showing off the new sword to Simmons and them proceeding to come up with sword puns, all while Simmons is in awe. Ah I missed these two being together so much. Donut also appears to joint he party! Grif isn’t happy about this considered that... you know, Donut’s with the bad guys. But Donut apologizes for getting everyone into the mess to begin with and wants to help get them out of it. This seems to satisfy everyone for now, but... yeah don’t fall for it viewers.
Grif reveals the deal to meet with the Cosmic Powers and tries to get everyone on board with it. The Freelancers have concerns however and Sarge isn’t willing to give up the gun yet. But Grif, as well as Sister and Tucker, explain about the shield protecting them and Grif trusts Huggins enough that he thinks it’ll be safe. Carolina worries that this is a trap, while Wash is just happy to be back in the usual ‘get involved in shit with the others’ groove. Before a final decision can be made, Jax wants to know more about if time travel is a bad thing or not once Tucker explains about the time line being damaged. As such, Jax wants to interview everyone and create a timeline based off everyone’s travels in order to see if there are any true consequences to all of it.
So the interviews are conducted, where it’s implied that Sister shot JFK and Grif may have killed Ceaser. Oops. Caboose also discovered Chinese finger traps. The most interesting though is Donut talking about how Chrovous saved his life and has been nothing but respectful towards him. The Reds and Blues on the other hand, well... yeah... anyways, onto the results! Jax concludes that while the Reds and Blues have failed in fixing any past mistakes or losses, there so far haven;t been any actual consequences to their shenanigains. He would know since, as it turns out, he’s been using Sarge’s gun to do some time traveling of his own. More on that later. The unified time line... well... it’s a dock. No seriously, it is an actual drawing of a dick. Science is mean man.
With that out of the way, Grif again presses everyone to meet with the Cosmic Powers. Wash still has concerns though... namely in how this is supposed to help find Church. To say that everyone is confused would be an understatement. What Wash is refereeing to is Chuch’s message last season... which IDT he ever did get told that it was just a past recording. Carolina tries to pass it off as him fooling around and while t looks like Wash realized that he lapsed again, it very clearly troubled him. But anymore discussions bout that will have to wait as the Reds and Blues take the guns and head for the Cosmic Gods. Oh and what did Jax do during his time travel you asked? He got actors like Tommy Wiseau and The Dude form Big Lebowski and cast them as the leads. Wow... wow... oh and the studio doesn’t like it, so they cut the funding and with the Reds and Blues gone, Jax can’t fix it. So much for no consequences, haha...
The Reds and Blues arrive at what we can now refer to as Starseat, the base of the Cosmic Powers. Although Jax briefly pops in via the open portal to convince them to help get funding back. It ends when Atlus throws his weapon into Jax and knocks him back into his own time. Oh and we also learnt hat Kalirama is Atlus’ wife... and sister... did I ever mention how fucked up mythology can be?! We also find out who Golfing Guy is. So there’s been a popular theory around that he is Jenkins, who was the ‘camera man’ for Blood Gulch and was in one of the S5 alternate endings. And... it is indeed Jenkins... well Genkins to be exact. He also says that the pink one is going to steal the hammer, HMM... so once intros are done, Carolina asks to hear everything form the beginning. Atlus begins to talk... and because Joe is a jerk, the episode ends there. JERK!
Review
Lets get the annoying out of the way first. SO the documentary style? I liked it! I think Joe mentioned last year that he’d wanted to o an Office-style episode in S15, but simply didn’t have the time. This was a nice place to revisit the idea. but... Joe honey, why did there have to be shaky cam? Okay I know why. It’s documentary style, and those have plenty of shaky cam. It annoys the people watching so Joe got that down... the problem is it annoys the audience. I definitely think that he should have had maybe some int he beginning, and left it after that to make it more bearable to watch. Still credit where it’s due, he got the desired emotion out of me. I’m also kind of annoyed that Tucker is back to being his usual self after the last episode, though he is acting more like regular Tucker so I guess we’ll see what happens.
So the Reds and Blues are finally together again and let me tell you, THANK GOD. I did not realize how much I missed everyone being together until this episode. I lied that it wasn’t overplayed and everything just... went into place. Grif and Simmons joking around, Sister getting referred to by her actual name, Tucker and Wash’s little ‘hey’.s to each other, it was just nice. I also liked how they discuss the issue. There’s the irony of Grif trying to get everyone to follow the plot now, the Freelaners asking questions, the Grif SIbs and Tucker explaining what they found out. Like it’s not over the top... I mean there’s plenty of humor like Grif knowing that he was gonna have to lie to Sarge to make him cooperate. But as much as I’ve enjoyed the crazy time shenanigans, it was nice to have a more calm episode of everyone just discussing what the next step is for them. IDK why I liked just seeing everyone talking so much, but I do.
There was just a lot that I loved. Like the shipping joke in the beginning, Grif still trusting Huggins, both Donut’s return and his interview bit (that hurt...), Simmons trusting Grif’s word and siding with him over seeing the Cosmic Powers, Caboose and the finger trap, the Reds and Blues trying to give themselves epic titles, it was all just great. Even with the heavier moments like Wash having another memory lapse and Carolina still trying to hide it were nice to see... and also hurt, but still well done. Everyone was just, for the most part, happy. I missed the happy.
So time travel stuff. Honestly IDK if this is a Closed Loop anymore or not due to Jax taking actors... though tbf aside form John Wayne IDT any of them are dead in the current time. So what we can conclude with the info that we have is that with the current brand of time travel, you cannot change the past. If you got your men killed or betrayed someone? You can’t change it. You feel bad about your sex life? Can’t change it. You lose a penny? Can’t change it. Now the whole ‘pizza doesn’t exist’ thing is still a huge hole... but we COULD attest that as damage to the timeline. It’s a consequence of the time travel. As we just saw with Jax’s movie losing funding, there are consequences to making changes and we saw that with Sarge where recruiting the new Reds ultimately did nothing for him.
There’s still a lot unclear about time travel, and with three episodes left IDK how Joe is going to explain it all. Maybe he won’t and we’ll have to see if he does next season. Now it looks like we’re finally getting some exposition which I think is sorely needed at this point. My guess is we’re going to learn about how Chrovous got locked away and hopefully just why tie travel is as dangerous as it is. But there’s also Genkin’s comment about ‘the pink one steals the hammer’. It seems to hint that whatever Donut is going to do, next episode he’s going to do it. IDK where that’ll lead, but I imagine that it won’t be good for our heroes...
Final Thoughts
This is probably my shortest review so far, but even so I loved this episode. The shaky cam was annoying as Hell, but it had a lot of fun moments that makes it forgivable. Plus it was just so good to have everyone back together again after so long. We have three epsodes of S16 left to go, and honestly I have no idea what to expect at this point. All I know is that whatever happens, we’re not ready for it.

#PrisonBreak S5 Ep 3 "The Liar" Recap & Review
Episode Grade 9
We start in Yamen Ogygia Prison with Michael preparing to send a message, outside is the kid that delivered the message last week to Lincoln “Look, Bubble Gum Man is sending us something again.” The Kid picks up the message ate his bubblegum and ran to deliver the message.
The child gives the message and tries to put it under the mat, but he caught by Lincoln, Sheba questions him, and Lincoln (Tic-tac Man) give him a pack of Tic-tac to continue bringing Michael messages. Sheba translates the message for Lincoln and C-Note puts together that it was a place on the map. They figured it was the location that Michael wants them to meet him after his Prison Break. Sheba tells them that she is leaving to get her family on a plane before everything started. Lincoln ask Sheba to get them three tickets as well, but Sheba refuses to say that if she were going to get anyone out of the country, it would be the kids. Lincoln tells her that if she got them the ticket, he would personally pay for each one of the child’s ticket, she agrees and tells him that it was what he wanted to do anyway. “Be careful; you are accusing me of having a heart” =Lincoln
Back in prison Whip is panicking that things are not going according to plan. Michael encourages him by telling him that they only have 8 hours before they get out and that he has someone who he trusts in the world as much as he trusts him on the outside to help. On the outside Lincoln and C-Note find Michael hide out which has his plan to escape prison, passport photos, and disguises. C-Note quickly notices that he had plans to take others with him, amongst those men are the most wanted terrorist Abu Ramal. C-not tells Lincoln that Abu Ramal is the enemy of everything that is civilized, which make him question who they were getting out Michael Scofield or Kaniel Outis.
Abu Ramal gathers the prisoners and tell them “separate the homosexuals that stain out lands and seize them. Whip come to find out what is happening and Ja said to him that Ramal was instituting Sharul law, Sid suggested that they kept their head down until the escape but was gather but the other prisoners.
Ramal asks if Sid was the deviant and tries to hang him but was stopped by Michael and the guard who fired off a warning shot and tell them that no one will die today.
Back in the USA a man and woman are looking at surveillance of the Sara receiving a message from Michael. She questions why she was stopped from killing Sara and was told that she would understand Poseidon game soon. Telling her, it was Chess, and it was a performance and Outis to reach out to her telling her that Sara would be the one that leads them to Michael/Kaniel.
Sara is still at the hospital with Jacob who tells her that he was being discharged the next day, Sara suggested to Jacob that they go to his family lake house. Jacob admires Sara; they shared a kiss while Sara’s phone is getting hacked. T-Bag visits Sara at the hospital and tells her that he knows about Kaniel Outis and that he was the one who paid for his new prostatic hand. T-Bag asks Sara if Michael have gotten them into something and she walks away and tells him not to come near her or her family.
In Ogygia prison the guards say that no matter what is happen on the outside the Law of the land is still in place in prison. Another prisoner tries to convince Whip to turn on Michael and tell him about Michaels plan to escape, telling him that Michael was an opportunist and he made the same proposal to him, and he refused,
In Yamen Lincoln secure a passport for himself and Michael from Sheba’s contact that initially took Lincoln’s passport. C-Note suggested that they spilled up and he goes with Mohammad El-Tunis to the power plant while he and Sheba get the passport.
Back in the USA Sara drives and listen to the news from Yamen and ISIL, and visit a Cellphone store and ask the guy if he could help her find out who hacked her phone.
In Ogygia prison the guard tells the prisoner that the yard was not safe and gave them 10 minutes to eat telling them that if they are going to eat, eat now. Whip, questions Michael loyalty to him and saying what the guy said, we learn that Michael and Whip were put in prison to get Ramal out by Poseidon.
Michael and Whip get into a fight that seems very real, and Michael steals the guard's watch and whispers some in Ramal’s ears after he tells Michael that after tomorrow he would not have to worry about Whip. Meanwhile, Lincoln and Sheba visit Forgers District in Sana’a and she tell him to keep is head down and not to make eye contact, and as soon as they get their passport, they need to leave. They get ambushed but the forger's men and Sheba are taken, and Lincoln is knocked out.
In Ogygia Michael apologizes for hitting Whip and tells Sid that he would not have let Ramal kill him, and say to Ja that his government wants Ramal out of prison for some colluded reason that he doesn’t understand and that is why he and Whip were sent. However, he can’t figure out why he was betrayed by his government which is why they are all getting out of there without Ramal, and they were all crucial to the plan.  Ja wants to find out what Michael went with him a druggy, and he tells him that he was a Korean genius and that getting over the wall is just the first step. Whip want an explanation on why he hit him, and he tells him that he had to prove that he was on his side and not Ramal. The Guard turned Michael cell upside down looking for his watch but did not find it, and the prison is put on lock down until the watch is found.
Back to Lincoln he is enclosed in a room while Sheba is being interrogated about the men she has been working with, and we found what Sheba’s relationship with the one eye was, they grow up together, and he tried to rape her.
Back in the USA, Poseidon girl and guy pay a visit to the cell phone store Sara visited earlier, asking the man about Sara who is across the street and now see who is after her, she is made. They go after where, and she escapes running across roof and hides until they were gone.
At Ogygia prison the guard continues the search for the watch and Whip inquires what Ja and Sid will be doing when they get out of prison.
Meanwhile, in the USA Sara and Jacob visit his parent, and Sara receive a call from the Cellphone store guy that tells her that she was the one who hacked her own because her phone is fingerprint activated, which made her immediately think of Kellerman. (That son of a gun, Kellerman is still the same dirty bastard he always was from the beginning.
Sara tells Jacob about the hack and the people that are following her, and he asks her if she was going to bury her head in the sand and do nothing. Sara calls T-bag and tells him what she has learned about who is behind this and say to him that she is going to work with him that he need to be willing to go the distance because she needs him to have a conversation with Kellerman and gather all the information he knows.
In Yamen Ogygia prison Michael is still patiently waiting and tell Whip 15 minutes as Whip expresses his gratitude to Michael. Whip questions Michael different persona since solitary, meanwhile, Ramal prepares for the escape with his men, but the guard comes to search his cell and find the watch. Outside C-Note and Mohammad takes out the lights.
The light is out and Michael start his escape but he is about to have unwanted company and outside Lincoln breaks out of his room and rescue Sheba who was about to be raped by the one-eyed man. Lincoln call C-Note to tell him to meet at the rendezvous point and that they need to hurry because Sheba was severely beaten,
In prison Michael, and is others are waiting for the guards to clear the roof so that they could escape, but they have a problem on both sides of the fence, the brother is trying to escape with them, and the guards are moving close to them. Sid fell and is left behind, and Michael and the others are caught on the roof and are taken back to Solitary. Ramal promises to kill Michael for betraying him and Michael leave a message telling Sar that if he dies, he loves her and all of this was for her and not to let them put Kaniel Outis on his headstone but the man he has always been Michael Scofield.
Another fantastic episode and we learn a lot including that Michael is not a terrorist but was sent by Poseidon along with Whip to break Ramal out of prison. Now I have a question for you (Do you think Jacob is Poseidon?). My favorite scene was Michael leaving a message to Sara, that had me in tear, it was such an emotional scene, great acting from Wentworth Miller. The entire cast did an amazing job, I am actually shipping Sheba and Lincoln bit with his luch she will just end up dying.

The 100 rewatch S5: Red Queen
I liked this episode. Even though I wanted to see Clarke and spacekru when it aired, it’s a good episode.
Fair warning. I always warn when I am anti someone. I am anti Kara Cooper. Honestly. That Biotch. I’ve got nothing redeemable for her except she’s fun to hate. If you’re a Kara Cooper fan be aware.
This one’s kinda long. Under the cut. I’m having problems with the tags so if these don’t notify you can you tell me? Something weird is going on with the formatting and I don’t know what is with the weird type. Funkiness. If you want me to tag you for the rest of the episodes, send me a note. :)
@captainwilldameron @kizo2703 . @levivlio . @kickthatassgirl . @jeanie205 . @starboybellamy . @ezraewrites . @alightinadarkland  @emmyisgrey @irisouy @noodlesthehedgehog
46 days after praimfaya and Octavia and Miller are sparring and smiling. This always makes me feel like if things had been different in wonkru, if they hadn’t been unrepentant tribal warmongers, fighting each other, trying to take from the others, then Octavia could have healed and not become a monster. I mean she didn’t want to be the leader, but she didn’t have a choice. Indra wants to dress her up in the heda outfit though O doesn’t want to. She doesn’t look happy.
Oh hai Niylah. She found her Ovid to remind her of Bellamy reading to her. Wait. That means Niylah is literate. And Gaia. Gaia and Indra are fighting over the religious support. Indra says the real commanders would have let her burn.
Now they’re talking about killing people for stealing blankets. “What punishment does Oslea impose?”
“For stealing blankets? Give them back.” Honestly Octavia’s best line in 5 seasons.
OH they hear someone outside pounding on the door. Kane and Abby are dressed to go out. They haven’t spoken in a month. Abby knows it’s Clarke. “It’s a night blood that knows where we are. Who else could it be?”
BUT THE DOOR WON’T OPEN. “If the building’s collapsed…”
“She’s not getting in.”
“We’re not getting out.” BOOM OUT.
Kara runs the hydroponic farm like she did on the Ark. WELL SHE”S CRAP AT IT. If Monty were there none of this would have happened. He got that shit up and running in like THREE DAYS.
Jaha. Nice to see you Jaha. He looks better with the bald head. I like it.  There are no vulnerabilities to the bunker they can’t dig out. And Kara is like, “oh yeah we’re going to die. We can’t feed everyone and it’s your fault Octavia for forcing your own people into that fire. YOU HAD NO RIGHT. Jaha found it. It belonged to us.” Tribalism. Don’t think the arkers aren’t just as tribalistic as the grounders. Dumbasses all. Kara’s father died in the culling on the ark and her husband didn’t make the cut in the second culling.
Indra Kane and Abby are like we have to set guards and have delegates and too many people. Octavia is like, “I’m the leader” They’ll go to half rations. At dinner, Abby is sitting with Jackson and Miller. Kane sits with Jaha and Ethan, because Abby won’t talk to him.
“We didn’t even know if it was Clarke.”
“What matters is not what we know but what we believe.” Jaha is spilling spiritual/political knowledge and Kane is like, yeah that’s not science. Lol But he’s still glad he talked him out of fighting Octavia for this place.
Oh Kara tries to keep Jaha in the cafeteria.
Jackson and Miller are being sweet. And Abby likes that. As she’s taking more pills. She says the headaches will stop but they don’t.
Oh distraction. Someone has a seizure and distracts the guards while someone locks the door and knocks out Kane. “We’re taking back what’s ours.” OH it was Kara faking the seizure. She started out a bitch and she never got better. If you’re a Kara Cooper fan, you’re not going to find a friend in me.
Kara has the plans. “We’re gonna live. And though it might be unfair, they’re not.” And she restrains Kane and Abby “because I don’t kill my own people. Even the one’s responsible for the deaths of my father and husband.” (Oh RLLY Kara Cooper? We’re gonna watch you kill your co-conspirators with a sword in a few minutes. So much for not killing your own.)
“Abby had nothing to do with that.’
“Abby opened the door. I wonder if you would have done that if he was already safe inside.” Incompetent. Bitter. And Vengeful.
Abby describes death by starvation to try and get Kara to open the door. “The first to die will be the lucky ones. They won’t have to fight the temptation to eat their friends.” Fine. Foreshadowing.
Jaha reading The Giving Tree. You know not everyone likes that story. Niylah does. Too late. Grounders attacking sky crew. Niylah hides with Ethan. Jaha fights. Octavia saves him.
Octavia didn’t want to kill them to punish them. Miller’s not in the cafeteria either. Miller takes Ethan away from Jaha . “I wantto stay with youuu.” Jeez. Tearjerker.
Octavia wants Jaha to be an engineer again. Open the door. I like Octavia here. She’s doing good. She had hope to heal and become better, but…
Niylah says hell is breaking loose. Gaia says it’s not hell it’s who we are. Octavia believes she’s wrong, they’re Wonkru. But Gaia says without a commander they are warring clans, that’s how it’s always been. Gaia you’re not helping.
Jaha though is the engineer and he does things. But he’s hurt. And ignores it. But he’s going to take the electricity and short out the lock. But he can’t get to level D because it’s no man’s land and they’ll kill him. So Jaha is going to get in in disguise. Octavia takes off the heda gear and says “on me they’re symbols not targets” and Gaia looks at her mom like I TOLD YOU SO. Octavia gets to be a hero. Like Murphy. She feels IMPORTANT as a hero. She’s not so good as a queen. She’s a knight, not a queen. Jaha won’t let her save the person being beaten. And she discovers he’s been stabbed. He’s going to sacrifice himself to open that door. Jaha ALSO likes being a hero, but he doesn’t mind being a king.
Even if you find a way to take the farm back, there’s still too many people in the bunker. Jaha says there always have been. WHY DIDN”T YOU ASSHOLES MAKE THE NUMBER SMALLER THEN?????
Abby and Kane are still chained up. No more half rations though. Jackson wants to fight back because Miller’s out there, she tells him no. “Imagine that. Wanting to save the person he loves.”
“You took away my choice.” But he says he made the right call because she was a doctor. “Really then why were you willing to float me on the ark?” Snarky.
Jaha is losing it.He’s going to give her wisdom. He’s sorry about how hard it was for her. Sure now that she’s valuable. “Like it or not, we are your people.”
He won’t connect the wires until Octavia promises to protect the sky people on the inside of the farm. When he has the word that she makes them stand down then he’ll open the door.
“I am not a leader.  I’m a fighter. A warrior.
“And a warrior needs a war and an enemy. On the ark we made death the enemy. That’s how we survived. And anyone who did anything to push us closer to death was eliminated. You hate me because I floated your m other but when she broke the law she pushed us closer to death. So she made herself the enemy.”
Octavia doesn’t like that. “So now you know what it takes to lead.” THAT IS NOT WHAT IT MEANS TO LEAD. Stupid Arkers.  Honestly, I know he’s generally well intentioned with his injustice, with the way he dismisses the unworthy, but I do not think that’s okay. Keeping order by oppressing those you deem inconsequential is NOT GOOD. It’s what caused the rebellion on the ark in the first place.
Someone is playing guitar as people sleep on the floor of the cafeteria. Kane, and Abby in withdrawal. Kane says,“I couldn’t bear to lose you. I’d just gotten you back. The world was ending before our very eyes and I thought I could weather any storm as long as you were by my side but you weren’t by my side because you decided you didn’t deserve what we had, you didn’t deserve to survive. How could you ever think that I would be able to carry you outside and shut the door. I’m sorry but I’m not that strong I would do the same thing a thousand times. Did you ever regret opening the door to save me.”
She can’t even speak just shakes her head.
Uh oh. Someone’s pounding on the door. Kara wants the dude to play louder and Jackson almost grabs Kara’s gun. Here’s Octavia.
“I can open the door.”
“The do it skairipa so we can rid ourselves of your honorless people once and for all.” You know. Those damn grounders have been blaming the sky people for existing since s1. They can save the grounders from destruction, defend themselves, defeat the grounders mortal enemies, prove their heroism, stop a computer from takin over their very minds, but the grounders will STILL blame them. SoMETIMES I wish Clarke had just stolen the damn thing. Look what ended up happening because the grounders AND the dumb skaikru couldn’t stop with their MY PEOPLE crap.  I wish Clarke and Bellamy could just have scammed the bunker and told Niylah to find them some decent non combatants and they’d just snuck into the thing BUT NO they have to play by the stupid grounder rules which are actually BARBARIC. “Oh you think we’re savages.” YES ROAN YOU ARE SAVAGES. Trial by combat? DUMB. Children fighting to the death to become leaders? SAVAGES. Death for stealing blankets?? SAVAGES. They’re all dumb. Jasper was right. Gosh I hope Clarke and Bellamy can manage to good guys in season 6. Okay rant over.
Go kick some savage butt Octavia. Savage vs savage. You wanted savage? Get ready to bow down to your savage queen. Honestly, the sky people can beat you at that, too. Our delinquents go hard.
She’s making it wonkru, not just tribes. She starts fighting. Someone comes at her. She kills. Kills him. And him. You are WONKRU or you are the enemy of wonkru. Choose. Kill kill kill kill.
You are wonkru or you are the enemy of wonkru. CHOOSE> kill kill kill kill.
You are wonkru or you are the ENEMY OF WONKRU. Choose. Killl kill kill killl.
Heartbeat. You are wonkru. Or you are the enemy of wonkru. Choose…
They bow. Bow. Bow. Bow. Bow. Bow. All bow. Exeunt pursued by bear…. Or rather starvation, but you know. Jaha opens the door.
“Only the guilty.” Bye Kara. Oh no. She goes to shoot Kane, no she goes to shoot herself. But Octavia throws a knife into her gun hand. “It won’t be that easy.” (Hmmmm could that be foreshadowing of Octavia trying to get out of what she did by martyrdom?)
Now Jaha is dying. Abby goes to save him. Can’t. Remember the first time Abby had to save Jaha? Episode 1. Now his fight is over.  He asks Octavia to take care of Ethan. “Take me home Marcus. Take me to my wife. Take me to Wells.” DAMN YOU I”VE GOT TEARS.
Travelers blessing. May we meet again.
Octavia crying, covered in blood. In comes Indra and Gaia. “Your people await justice.” Gaia doesn’t want her to be cleaned up. She doesn’t think Octavia is the commander, but she delivered them from praimfaya and from starvations, and she will deliver them back to the ground.  (But who really does? I think it’s Bellamy. And delivered them to the ship. I’m still waiting for his mythic name to appear. We have Wanheda. Blodreina. What’s his?) The blood of our enemies IS her armor.
The first gladiator battle.
Jackson and Miller. “Nate I tried to stop it—“ “Shh. You’re a healer not a fighter. That’s why I love you.” So sweet.
Octavia commanding. Too many people in this bunker. “Each of you have committed crimes against wonkru and the punishment for this is death.” The boy is going to die for blankets after all. “This isn’t the ark and this isn’t the ground. There is no blood must have blood. In Rome the gladiators had the opportunity to fight for their freedom. So will you.
Who goes first? Kara. Farmer my ass. She kills everyone. Those are her people that she fought with, too.
Cut to a gladiator 6 years later. Kara is by Octavia’s side. Ethan is grown up. Gaia is blonde. Octavia is blodreina.
But if they fight and win the battle, why does Octavia get to say they are saved or not? Drama.
Oh here’s Kane. The combatant. Indra not happy.

#Outlander "Between Two Fires," S5, Ep2 Recap
Between Two Fires begins with the Regulators dragging some English men into the street and pouring hot tar over them as the men beg for mercy.  This done as a protest by the Regulators against the taxes levied by the British.
The gang is led by Murtaugh who, unfortunately for Jamie, did not heed his advice to make himself hard to find.  Murtaugh is a man who stands by his convictions clearly but what is Jamie going to do when he and Murtaugh meet again?
Back at Fraser’s Ridge, Brianna is trying to teach Roger to hunt.  Roger is truly a fish out of water and learning to shoot is proving to be a difficult task.  As they practice, Bree asks Roger if he wants to go back through the stones.
Roger has assumed that as soon as they found out if Jem could go through the stones, the three of them would go back through the stones but he also sees that Brianna is happy to be with her family, so he tells Bree that he wants to be here as well.
Brianna and Claire are in the clinic when a wagon pulls up with a frantic women and her gravely ill husband.  The woman tells Claire her husband has been very ill and that she has been treating him with bloodletting and mercury pills.  Once Claire and Bree hear the word mercury, they know that there is nothing to be done for Mr. Farish and he dies moments after arriving.  Claire believes the man’s appendix had burst and had she seen him when the symptoms started or before the home remedies were given, she could have saved him.  Had she been in the future, a simple surgery would have saved his life.
Claire discusses her frustration to Brianna saying that she has the knowledge and skill needed to save this man and all the sick and injured at Fraser’s Ridge, but can’t because these remedies have not been invented yet.  Her frustration is made worse as she sits with several of the women who are making candles and talking about treating a young boys burns with St. James Powder which is poisonous.  She tries to explain this to the women, but they see her only as a “healer” rather than a “physician” and do not take her warnings seriously.
But clever Claire has an idea and later Brianna finds her mother handwriting procedures for safely treating illness.  She plans to tell everyone that these instructions came from Dr. Rawlings (the doctor whose name is on the medical bag hat Jamie had given her).  Bree is concerned about Claire’s actions and the impact it could have on history, but Claire points out that they have already changed history just by being there.  Brianna sits down to help Claire write the documents.
As Claire deals with things at home, Jamie and Lt. Knox are on the hunt for Murtaugh.  Jamie’s loyalty first and foremost is the safety of his family and his countrymen, but he must also honor his oath the Governor. Every move he makes puts those he loves in danger.  For now, Jamie must keep up the ruse of hunting Murtaugh with the English but it’s a dangerous game he is playing and soon he is going to have to pick a side.  Until such a time, lives are at stake and Jamie will do what he must to keep Murtaugh and the other Regulators alive.
Jamie and Lt. Knox arrive in town with the news of the Regulator’s attack of the Englishmen.  There is one survivor who shows Jamie and Knox his injuries.  They are told that three of the Regulators have been captured and Jamie is forced to confront the men that he had previously invited them to settle at Fraser’s Ridge.
Like Murtaugh, these three men are true to their convictions and are disgusted to find Jamie working with the English.  As Knox demands answers from the handcuffed men to tell him of the whereabouts of Murtaugh, Jamie tries to get the men to save themselves by telling Knox that they were just following Murtaugh’s orders.  One of the men spits in Knox’s face.  An angered Knox stabs the handcuffed man, killing him.  Now it’s Jamie who’s disgusted that Knox murdered the man before he had a fair trial.  Knox initially seems to regret what he’s done. The remaining two men are put back in their cell.  Later though, Knox condones his actions by telling Jamie that he gave the murdered man a “soldiers” death which is more than he deserved but saved him from the fate of the other men – public hanging.  As Jamie rises to leave, Knox tells Jamie that he’s going to need for men to fight with him.  Jamie promises to return with men ready to do battle.
Jamie risks everything to return to the jail late at night and releases the other two prisoners.  Jamie explains his motives to the men, and they admit to Jamie that Murtaugh was behind the attack and did not disappear as Jamie had hoped.  Devastating news for Jamie.
Fraser’s Ridge attends the funeral for Mr. Farish.  Claire seems ill at ease.  We soon find out why.
After the burial, Claire invites Marsali into the clinic, locks the door, and shows Marsali the body of Mr. Farish, the man they just buried.  Marsali is disgusted and shocked at first.  Claire admits that Roger helped her hide the body and that the coffin was filled with rocks.  She explains to Marsali what she’s doing and that she thinks Marsali would make a great doctor’s apprentice. Freaked out but intrigued, Marsali agrees.  Claire promises that once they are finished with the body, the man will have a proper burial.
While giving Roger an eye exam she thanks Roger for helping her with the body.   Roger confides in Claire about his desire to return through the stones.
Surprisingly, Claire hopes they do go back.  She will miss them, of course, but the time they are in now is dangerous for all of them.  A simple cut on Jem’s knee could turn into a deadly infection that she wouldn’t be able to treat because antibiotics haven’t been discovered yet.  She wishes times were going to get better and safer but they both know that more danger is coming. Her heart-to-heart with Roger gives Claire an idea though. One of the townswomen drags Brianna to the clinic where Claire has been baking loaves and loaves of bread. After the woman leaves, Claire tells Brianna that she intends to make her own penicillin - an idea which scares Brianna and she begs Claire to be careful.
In one of my favorite moments, Brianna finds Roger singing “Joy to the World” by Three Dog Night to baby Jem!  With a kiss, Bree tells Roger that he is an excellent father.  Roger takes the clothes basket that Bree his carrying and tells her to spend some time with Jem.  Roger heads into the cabin and Brianna’s sketch book falls to the floor.
First, he smiles at the portrait of Jem but then Roger notices the sketches of Bonnet that Brianna has drawn.  Each portrait of Bonnet gets darker and darker and Roger now knows that Bree is still haunted by what happened to her at Bonnet’s hands.  A shaken Roger replaces the drawings and does not say anything to Brianna for now.
In the darkness, the two escaped Regulators return to the hiding place but are met with a sword to the throat.  The man on the other end of the sword is Murtaugh!  As the men retell their story and knowing the relationship between Jamie and Murtaugh, they question Murtaugh and ask where his loyalties lie if he is forced to stand again Jamie.  Murtaugh assures the men that his beliefs will not waver no matter what and pledges that he will always stand with these men.
In the last moments of “Between Two Fires” we are taken to a boxing match between two women.  Bets are being placed by the men watching.  One of the men is Stephen Bonnet who places his own bet.  He angers one of the men in attendance who challenges Bonnet to settle their differences and with swords drawn they move the center of the “ring.”  Bonnet slices the man in the calf and the man concedes.  However, Bonnet isn’t finished with the man and slits the man’s eyes.  When asked why he didn’t kill the man, Bonnet replies that he wanted to set a better example because he’s “a father now.”  And now we know for sure, Stephen Bonnet is alive.
I think this “Between Two Fires” was another great episode. Episode 3 titled, “Free Will” airs Sunday, March 1 on STARZ.  Check out the promo video. Jamie and Claire hit the road to find men to join his militia. This leads the pair to the Beardsley home. “Free Will” has been described as being “ more like a story from Stephen King. It's full of dark and horrific horror, as the Frasers head to the Beardsley property. “ I can’t wait!
