OMG MINT please continue bc kiri saying again … was he picking up the pieces before w reader ??
cw: Reader is a high school in this part, reader is said to not be conventionally attractive.
Kirishima remembers the first time Sero ever saw you.
He's fumbling with his key ring in the most obvious way he can, letting it swing and jingle around his fingers.
"My parent's won't be back until late tonight, so we can do whatever." Kirishima isn't one to brag, but there's still something cool about being a latchkey kid. He doesn't have Bakugo's big house or all of Denki's gaming systems, but he's got the coolest hang out spot because he has all the privacy they could ever need.
"You bozos should actually study this time-" Bakugo says, slinging his backpack across his shoulders.
Denki groans. "You're so lame-"
"Your grades are lame!"
Kirishima unlocks the door to the apartment when another door across the hall opens. He doesn't turn at first, thinking it's just Mr. Yagami leaving for the night shift-
"Eijiro-"
Kirishima turns at the sound of your voice. Catty corner from him, you're halfway out of your apartment door, still dressed in your wrinkled school uniform. The smile you flash him is timid, mostly covered up the doorframe.
"Hold on, guys."
He walks over to you with a little wave and you produce a familiar set of containers, perfectly cleaned and polished, just like always.
"Tell your mom thank you," you mumble, adjusting your glasses as you speak. Kirishima thinks it's weird that you're being so quiet today, but then your eyes flicker to the group behind him. School's hard for you, he thinks, the other kids aren't very nice to you most of the time. At least, that's what his mom says when you aren't around.
"It was really good, thank you."
"Yeah, don't mention it," Kirishima points back to his gaggle of boys. "These are my friends from school, by the way. Bakugo, Denki, and the tall one's Sero. They're all really cool."
Your face goes weird when he says Sero's name. Not sour or stressed or something he knows, just... funny. Like you've swallowed a lemon whole.
"I'm the only cool one here," Bakugo says.
"Aw, don't listen to this big grump-" Sero throws an arm around Bakugo. "We're pretty okay."
"Hi." With a little wave, you duck back inside your place and let the door close. Kirishima starts to go back to his friends, but for Sero to stop him.
"So, who was that?" Sero asks, a bit too interested for Kirishima's liking. Bakugo bumps his shoulder into the dark haired boy, then shoves his full body weight. Even when Sero stumbles, he keeps looking.
"She's cool, just super shy. My mom gives her food sometimes." He shakes the Tupperware for effect. "She lives by herself because her school's around here."
"Ask her to hang out with us," Sero says.
Denki groans again. "Why would we want some weirdo girl-?"
Sero's already slunk across the hall. Bakugo and Denki share a look and roll their eyes; last summer's growth spurt didn't only give Sero a couple extra inches of height-- it gave him too much confidence and too strong of an interest in girls. Denki could kind of relate, minus the confidence. Thankfully, Bakugo didn't seem to care about women at all.
(Kirishima was thankful for that.)
The blondes both go inside the apartment when Kirishina opens the door, but Sero has already knocked and peeled you out of your shell.
"Hey, we were just thinking-"
That funny look comes over you again- a strained, sloppy smile, own that-
It clicks in Kirishima's head the second Sero leans against the doorframe, one arm extended above his head. You think he's cute.
You think he's very cute.
Sero seems to know it, too.
"I- uh- I-" You're fumbling each word. "I have cram school-"
"Aww-" He runs a hand through his hair with a cool little smile. "What a bummer."
Kirishima's stomach twists at bit, mostly on instinct. He doesn't have strong feelings towards you or anything, but he suddenly feels a surge of protectiveness, like an older sibling watching the younger get whisked away.
You're not even cute, Kirishima thinks, not in the ways that Sero usually goes for. He usually goes for girls without glasses or braces, the types that win beauty pageants and don't have stutters-
Flirting with you just seems... cruel in comparison. It's a game he knows he can win.

Two Peas In A Pod
—A blessing... or a calamity in disguise?
Fandom: Blue Lock
Pairing: Nagi X Fem!Reader
Genre: Crack, Humor, Horror
Format: Short fic
Warnings: Breast feeding, Jealousy, Probably ooc!Nagi
Word Count: 1.5K
A/n: Idk I just thought this would fit him lol. Might remind you of boss baby.
There are moments in life which can never be forgotten. Long awaited moments that leave a sweet velvety taste in your mouth and get engraved on your memory,
Moments like this.
Nagi is in hospital, standing next to the delivery room with his infant in his arms. He's wearing the most genuine smile he could ever wear, staring at his baby boy's angelic face. The baby has the tiniest hands ever that would get lost in his if he were to hold them, and the cutest chubby feet ever. He could just eat them right away.
"Wow Nagi, he looks just like you!" Reo says, smiling at the sight while snapping a picture. "You two are like two peas in the pod, except that his hair isn't long enough to be as messy as yours"
"I know. I did hope he'd take after y/n, but he's still cute"
Your husband looks so grown up like this with a baby in his hands. That's what makes Reo to snap another picture, this time in full frame of both Nagi and the baby. His smile is as soft as when he watched him saying his vow to you, and he can't help but to feel happy for his best friend.
"I'm gonna go get a cup of coffee and call Isagi and others. They've been waiting for the news"
"Ok"
Nagi's gaze doesn't leave the baby's face to follow Reo's footsteps walking away. He persistently stares at the baby's closed eyelids, wondering if they're hazel colored like his, or have the color of your eyes. Maybe it's a mixture of both, he thinks, if it's possible. He doesn't have to wait for long to find out though, because suddenly, the baby's eyelids start shuddering and in less than a second, they're wide open, displaying the warm chocolate brown color of his eye balls.
Every inch of his figure resembles his father. Even the look in his eyes is curious, just like Nagi's is right now.
"Welcome home, little thing. We're gonna have so much fun together, me and you"
…
"I don't think that's gonna happen"
Nagi doesn't know whether he should believe his ears, or his eyes. A talking baby? That's a miracle! Babies don't start talking until they're two years old, but this one in his arms was definitely the one talking a little while before, since his intense stare is piercing through Nagi's heart.
I must have very strong genes.
"What do you mean, that's not gonna happen?"
"Oh sorry, I guess I wasn't being clear on the matter" The baby speaks in a semi-grown up voice. "I meant that, you won't be having much fun from now on"
"How come?"
The baby's innocent expression is all gone. Now there's a straight yet devilish look on his face which Nagi doesn't find charming. "I thought you would already figure out that much, but I guess I was wrong. Heh...what a pain"
"Stop giving me that shit and tell me already"
"You don't care much for sharing; do you, my dear father?"
Oh.
Nagi doesn't like where this is going. He feels an unwelcoming sense of threat in his heart.
"So what? Are you saying you're gonna steal y/n from me?"
"No..."
The grin on the baby's face isn't casual. All of a sudden, Nagi doesn't find a single thing resembling him. The baby looks more like... Light Yagami from death note, the blond version.
"...I'm saying that I already have"
This can't be happening.
"Tough luck. You'll never be able to split us off. Y/n's love for me is boundless. I'm her one and only"
"You were her one and only" His gums are visible through his demonic smirk. "Now that I'm here, you won't get a quarter of the attention you used to receive. From now on, I'll be the one who sleeps in her arms at— well all the time. She'll always be near me, looking after me since I'm just a fragile little thing. The time she used to spend alone with you is gonna be limited to less than ten minutes, and your share of affection will also be mine. Even if you two do get the time to be alone with each other, she'll be too exhausted to even look at your face. She wouldn't miss it, since she gets to be with me all the time"
The world comes crashing down on the white haired man. Through his storming mind, he can see himself curled up under the strangely ice cold blanket while staring at you frustratingly, asking you to get in the bed with him already. But standing on the other side of the room, it feels like you're a thousand miles away, voice barely making its way to his hear yet so destructively striking him, saying you have to put the baby to sleep first. Even after doing that, you're so tired that you pass out on the bed before Nagi can even lay a finger on you.
"Not only that, I'm gonna take away all the other things you enjoy as well"
Another illusion appears before his eyes, only this time he's sitting on the couch, and you're standing in front of him, wearing a somewhat annoyed expression.
"I'm sorry Sei, but we can't afford to buy more video games anymore. We have to start saving up for Light's college"
No.... that can't be real. He can't give up on his video games for a serial killer's his child's future. That's absurd. You're not expecting him to do that, are you? You know how video games are important to him.
"Just you wait my stupid father, I will take everything you cherish in your life, and it starts from this very moment, with your most loved one"
His most... loved one?
Just as he's about to ask the little demon about his intention, the door to the room opens and a nurse comes out. "Alright! It's the baby's lunch time"
No. Not that.
"His lunch time? You mean, y/n's gonna feed her...?"
Nagi's voice is shivery, like he didn't know about how the babies drink milk. The nurse is a little taken aback by that, but still keeps her smile on.
"Yes sir, he needs to be fed right now, so if I may..." She reaches out to take the baby from his embrace, but fails when Nagi steps back.
"You... can't do that. I mean, this baby looks like he should drink formula milk instead of breast milk. It'll be better for him"
"The hell are you talking about, Nagi? Let the nurse take him to y/n" Reo suddenly appears next to him, giving him a questioning look.
"No— You don't understand— I—"
"What's up with you man? Here, ma'am; take the little thing to his mommy"
Nagi feels all the misery existing in the world raining on him as he watches the nurse take the infant to you. Reo looks away when you pull up your hospital gown to reveal the enchanting sight of your breast that are bigger than usual and are full of milk, all ready to be devoured in the baby devil's throat. This is it. The beginning of his torment, the sight of his most comforting treasure being possessed by another person, shattering his heart into a zillion pieces.
"No..."
The baby squeezes your right nipple with his hand, letting out a small whine.
"Stop it... No..."
You softly caress his cheek and baby talk him to enjoy his meal.
Why can't all of you people see his devilish smirk?
"No..."
The baby looks at him from the corner of his eyes. He's taking his most special thing, his stress balls, his warm pillows he snuggles his face into at nights, his soft squishies he plays with whenever he's bored, his delicious jello balls he sucks on to help him go to sleep...
"No... No... No..."
You hold your left boob and snuggle him closer to help him drink, and he helps himself out, by brutally taking it into his mouth.
It happens.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Then Nagi wakes up from his sleep.
Through his blurry vision, he recognizes his room in the middle of the night, and of course, your kind hand on his shoulder.
"Sei? Are you ok sweetheart?"
Nagi keeps panting. He hurriedly looks around the room to see any sign of the baby, but thankfully, he finds nothing. He can't ignore the cute bump of your belly under your oversized T-shirt though.
"Y/n?"
"Yeah?"
"If the baby looks like me we'll give it away"
"Excuse me??!"

A/N: Contains prose with panels in between paragraphs.
Sukuna stayed rooted on the spot. The room went silent as all eyes shifted from Uraume to you, their look of concern morphing to that of horrified looks when they finally turned their line of vision to the pink-haired male. However, his attention was on you and the apologetic look you had as you regarded him.
“Ryomen told me how you kept telling everyone about that for his sake,” Uraume began, “You don’t have to do that here, Y/N. It’s not like we’ll like him any less or otherwise, so it’s okay.”
“Still…” Suguru glared at Sukuna. “The fuck were you thinking, man?”
You started waving your hands in front of you, your ears and cheeks feeling hot from embarrassment. “I-it was an accident. Please don’t fight.”
"We're not," Sukuna assured you, arching a brow at Suguru who had a protective arm in front of you.
Satoru, who had been silently listening to the conversation, also chimed in. “Bet he had a girl with him when that happened.”
Everyone burst out laughing and Sukuna could just roll his eyes as he carelessly bumped against everyone on purpose until he was seated next to you on the couch, swatting Suguru away. He heard your apology the moment he was close enough. “It’s fine, Y/N. It’s the truth after all. I don't have to hide anything from them now.” He handed you the strawberry milk. “I didn’t think you should be taking alcohol with your constant intake of painkillers.”
“I didn’t think that was a good idea either,” you agreed thoughtfully but you still looked at him anxiously. “Thank you.”
“So, how come you’re not chasing him to hell?” Nobara asked you. “Is there some bizarre love story we don’t know about here?”
“L-love story?” If you were blushing earlier, your face was beet red from your neck to your scalp as you shook your head, but you still smiled graciously, not missing a beat when you said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“That’s very convincing, Y/N.”
You just bit your lower lip.
“Hey, stop it!” Sukuna growled, causing everyone to shut up, but he didn’t miss the way you flinched, too. It was endearing, but he felt annoyed with himself at the same time. “Sorry.”
Your familiar mega-watt smile immediately made itself evident and he couldn’t help but return the gesture. As per usual, everyone liked you, watching as how you take every snack the boys were offering, engaging the other girls in the room in friendly conversation, being fast friends with them. Your attention may not have been solely on him like all those times he accompanied you to functions, but he still felt happy watching you interact with people he trusted. As always, you attracted them, and this time, he hoped you will be real friends with them, too.

lawlight fic rec list
so i’m gonna do a series of these, starting with my favorite death note ship! make sure to pay attention to all warnings on these fics. enjoy! if you have a ship you’d like me to make a rec list for, please just send me an ask! i don’t want to be obnoxious, and i’m not saying they’re good, but i (slackjawbitch on ao3) have some lawlight fics up!
♡ = a favorite of kitty’s
angst
♡ 1. i’m drowning; please save me: L looks at Yagami Light and drowns. There is no other way to put it. As the days pass and blend into weeks, L looks at Yagami Light sitting next to him, the harsh lines of his face creased and determined, and he swallows water.
L looks at Yagami Light and he cannot breathe.
great characterization, always makes me very emo, and is probably a pretty major influence on my writing. one shot. 1,817 words.
2. always waiting for you just to cut to the bone: And then, breaking through the pounding in his head he hears what would be the last words out of that wretched man’s lips.
“I love you.”
fic for teh death note drama (2016) canon! title is unfortunately from a t*ylor sw*ft song (/silly) but this fic is so good and sad.
3. Our Bodies, Possessed By Light: L. Lawliet is a gifted photographer who believes he has understood the light and its secrets. Light Yagami is a young, unstable and slightly crooked model. Together, they kill time.
modeling and photography au. make sure to read all teh tags and warnings for this one; there’s nothing gross, but some potentially triggering subjects for some people are in here. multi chapter. 81,218 words.
4. Hearts and Spades: Which would you choose? Love or death? RaitoL, slight AU.
short but sweet piece featuring that classic fanfiction dot net era vibe, an emo-ass playing card metaphor (/pos), and a recounting of l’s death scene that made me sad over him all over again (also /pos). and also light being obnoxious, but it’s death note, so that’s usually a given, lol. one shot. 1,801 words.
5. Not Quite Drowning: Sometimes Light ponders happiness. L/Light
a short lawlight and light character study. i like it a lot, and i don’t usually like light, so that should tell you something about how well i think it’s written! one shot. 424 words.
♡ 6. Water, water, water: In the bath, they forget they’re a detective and a suspect; they remove these identities along with their clothes, layer by layer until there are only the handcuffs left. And them; facing the other in the eerie calmness of their bathroom.
At least, it’s how Light sees it.
i really love this one! make sure to read teh tags, as eating disorders and drugs are mentioned, for example. angst with a happy ending! one shot. 3,504 words.
fluff
1. Silver Bells: Silver bells...silver bells...
They’ve made it. Everything is okay now, when they’re dancing in the candlelight.
really, really cute! i recommend it as a palate cleanser to make you feel better after reading a sad one, lol. one shot. 1,255 words.
♡ 2. New Year’s Eve: "I've seen fireworks before," he says. "This is... so much... more."
just a cute little new year’s eve lawlight fireworks show! this one is also from 2009 which is kinda cool to me, haha. i like this author’s descriptive language a lot. one shot. 507 words.
♡ 3. Do Gay Penguins Go to Hell?: Too many New Year snacks bring about a family discussion between L, Raito and their daughter about healthy diet, common sayings and nature of good and evil. And gay penguins, of course. AU
a really darling kid fic, based on teh stupid, homophobic controversy over that adorable kids’ book about teh gay penguin couple. one shot. 3,791 words.
4. A Feeling: It's LxLight fluff! This takes place after Light was confined and lost his memories, chained to L. : D SO YUS. SOME FLUFF FOR YAH D: Hope you leik it :D
very cute “l and light cuddle and kiss” fic, written by a scene kid in 2008, which is extra points with me! one shot. 1,006 words.
alright! i will add to this rec list as i find more fics, and i would love it if people would send in their favorite lawlight fics!

Ranking Digimon Adventure 1's Chosen Children on the Fight Me Bruh Scale
Here we go. This will be a scale from Most Confident to Least Confident, based on how confident I am that I could take each child in a playground fistfight. In the interest of fairness, they will not have their Partner Digimon with them, and my age will be set to 10 years old; An average of the eight of them.
1 - Izumi "Izzy" Koushiro. Oh, cute little nerd boy, what's he going to do, complain online about--
NO YOU'RE WRONG. Koushiro's on the soccer team. He may be meek and unassuming but that boy is an athlete all the same. Pick on him at your peril. He may be one of the less difficult fights but that meek stature conceals enough musculature to at least get by on the field.
Koushiro may be the least threatening but only because of how scary the others can be. I still don't relish my chances, and it's all uphill from here.
2 - Kido "Joe" Joe. What Jou lacks in athleticism and gusto, he makes up for with wild intensity when he gets going.
If this fight is happening, either I'm bullying Jou or I said or did some shit to the kids under him. In the first case, I can probably sweep the win. He won't defend himself too hard. But in the case of the latter, he's going to come at me like a lanky berserker bent on my destruction.
Jou is also the child most likely to win the fight by showing up to it in the company of an escorting adult, who then proceeds to drag me away by the ear.
3 - Ishida "Matt" Yamato. Yamato seems vulnerable to psychological warfare. Maybe if I yell something at him like "Look over there, it's your self-worth!" that will distract him enough that I can get some good hits in.
I'm gonna need something because he is ready and willing to come at me in full-scale brawling mode. He doesn't have the build of an athlete which will help me, but he's also probably not above cheap shots. Obviously, neither am I. Either way, this is going to be a fight.
4 - Takaichi "T.K." Takeru. On paper, you'd think I can just punt the little shrimp. But Takeru is small, scrappy, and unyielding. He faced down an insane puppet with a revolver 1v1 and came out on top. I don't think anything I have to throw at him is going to top that.
If I pick this fight, I'm going to regret it quickly when Takeru turns his niceness off and flips over into the honey badger of my destruction.
Plus there's a strong possibility that this fight ends in Yamato emerging from the underbrush with a steel chair. The Big Brother Factor is always important to keep in mind during playground brawls.
5 - Yagami "Tai" Taichi. Oh, fuck me. Nope nope. Nope nope nope. Are you shitting me? You want me to fight one of the two ace strikers of the school's soccer team?
This boy is rabid. I'll be on that schoolyard two seconds before he's throwing a thousand punches per minutes straight into my kidney. He is a ball of energy wrapped in a shell of violence incarnate waiting for an excuse.
6 - Takenouchi Sora. Oh, fuck me. Nope nope. Nope nope nope. Are you shitting me? You want me to fight the other of the two ace strikers of the school's soccer team?
In a playground brawl, Sora is Taichi with better reach and something to prove. I have self-identified as an opportunity to vent her frustrations over her mom's dislike of her athleticism, and I'm not going to be very happy about what comes next.
7 - Yagami "Kari" Hikari. Hikari isn't much of a brawler so you'd think this would be an easy fight. But this girl is weird, y'all! I go in for the haymaker and before I can even land it, she starts glowing brighter than the surface of the sun and speaking in new voices and levitating in the air.
And before I can even say "What the actual fuck is happening right now", Taichi with the steel chair.
8 - Tachikawa Mimi. One does not fight Tachikawa Mimi. This girl's charisma score is through the roof. Her greatest power is the ability to inspire others to stand by her, even when she isn't even trying to.
There is no version of this fight where Mimi ever throws a punch. She doesn't have to. In all other fights, the crowd of kids gathers to watch me fight. Mostly to laugh at me. In this fight, they're the fight.
This is a 35-on-1 shitstomp as every child on the playground dogpiles on my face and kicks the shit out of me for even daring.
And you know what? They're right. It's me. I'm the bully. ._. I'm sorry, everyone. I'll try to be better.

Digimon Girls Festival (Image Songs)
It's been awhile since I've done a post about "audio-only" Digimon media. Digimon has so many of these!! If you're curious this site seems like a good place to see all the info about the albums out there. Digimon-Basic is where you're going to want to go if you want to download the albums, but most of them are on YouTube too. I gotta say, this fandom is nothing if not super well documented! I'm impressed.
Loving the cover art for this (why do they all look like they're going to different parties though?) As you can see, this is a collection of image songs for all of the girls from Adventure, 02, and Tamers. No Frontier, unfortunately :'( With most anime, characters get 1-2 image songs, with Digimon they get like 5 for some reason (spread across different albums).
Image Songs
Ruki Makino - My Style (Listen here subbed)
A very fitting song for Ruki in terms of the edgy rock n roll style and her singing about wanting to stay true to herself. I found her singing about wanting wings to be pretty random though. I feel like they just stick that in anime songs cuz it sounds cool lol (I think one or two of the other image songs talked about wanting wings).
Favorite line was "I don't want to imitate anyone, I want to be me." I feel like what Ruki is struggling with is that she does care what people think of her a lot (hence her angsty facade) but really wants to break free of that and be her true self.
The lyrics were kinda poorly translated grammatically, but I've tried to translate Japanese song lyrics before...it's super hard. I feel like some things just end up sounding dumb in English and it might be better to go the localization route instead of direct translation (if this were an official thing).
Miyako Inoue - Yamato Nadeshiko Panic (Listen here subbed)
Damn, it's a good thing I know what a yamato nadeshiko is or else this song would seem pretty weird. The subber decided to translate yamato nadeshiko as "japanese woman" which...sort of makes sense but it leaves out so much context. To be fair...it's a tricky one (as I said in the previous bullet, translaton is hard!)
Anyways, this song wasn't super interesting. It was basically Miyako singing about how she wants to be an elegant, "ideal" woman. Low key trad wife vibes lol Nothing wrong with wanting to be a good wife/partner, it's just not something I relate to 😅
I feel like I never fully got a grasp on Miyako's character. The only thing I remember is that she was a fangirl and kinda boy crazy. There was an episode about how she's really outspoken I think?
Sora Takenouchi - Sky-Blue Wind (Listen here subbed)
It seems like a lot of these songs are about not being honest with yourself. It's all very Japanese lol. Sora is singing about putting on a brave face for the sake of her friends. I guess that's fitting since we did see her run away when she was upset in the anime.
She sings that she "likes her role" as the optimistic one...reminds me of Ted Lasso and Waymond from Everything Everywhere All At Once. I can't tell if this kind of outlook is admirable or deeply unhealthy.
Shaochung Lee - My Future (Listen here subbed)
This one was disappointing because I liked Shaochung. It was a super unimaginative song about Shaochung wanting to grow up. Like...I guess that makes sense, but it's a very obvious and lazy choice (with her being the youngest). Maybe she could have sung about her relationship with her brother or Lopmon/Terriermon?
I did think the "I can't see the after-10pm world" line was pretty cute/clever
Hikari Yagami - Reflection (Listen here subbed)
According to fandom wikis, this is a response to the Takeru song Focus which I wrote about here. I still feel weird about these two songs. Why would they depict Takeru and Hikari as a couple when that wasn't in the source material (imo)? I don't remember the 02 epilogue saying anything about them being together! Maybe the image songs aren't canon lol
There's something funny about Hikari calling Takeru's eyes beautiful when I just picture them as generic anime eyes. I guess blue eyes would be something to sing about in Japan. (I actually think Hikari's light brown eyes are prettier).
Juri Katou - The Color of Someday (Listen here subbed)
Sheeesh this one was dark (I mean...to be expected). It sounded to me like Juri was singing about being depressed and anxious, unsure how to live a "normal" life. The color in the title refers to that "normal" future that she wants to achieve.
A lot of the song seemed to be about masking and being afraid to show any vulnerabilities to the world. She also says she doesn't understand what love is or how to love (probably cuz of her crappy parents).
Looking back on it, I kinda wish they had foreshadowed Juri's darker side better in Tamers. She started out as such a goofy, comic relief character that her breakdown felt less real to me (also, I cared less because my brain had already categorized her as "generic background comic relief girl."). If they had shown a tiny hint of a crack in her facade sooner, it probably would have made her more interesting.
Good morning/Goodnight Calls
(These should be easy to find, they're in the same playlist as the videos above)
I don't really know what the point of these are, going to be honest. The album contains random voice lines (around 20 seconds each) of the girls saying good morning and goodnight. It reminds me of those Vtuber voice packs. Personally, I'm a big fan of Japanese oddities like this, but they seem very niche.
I thought the appeal would be to pretend that the characters are talking to me, but in the first voice clip Ruki is addressing her grandma...guess I could pretend to be her grandma lmao
Okay, Sora's wake up/goodnight call literally sounds like waifu bait (very breathy)...which is strange considering she's an elementary schooler. Who was this made for?
Some of these would make decent alarm sounds, if you're into that sorta thing. I think it would get very annoying very fast to have an anime girl yelling at me first thing haha
Sora and Miyako's were so vague and general that they could have been from any series. No mention of digimon or anything like that.
Why is Mimi showing up now but didn't get an image song? Wasn't she the singer of the group!? (Her voice lines were very shrill, my ears are bleeding lol)
Hearing cheerful!Juri after listening to her song feels...uncomfortable
I wonder if these were just improv'd on the spot. I want more backstory.

Tojoctober Day 6 - Warm
(Kimi no koe wo noseru yo)
Alt title is from “Your Song” by [Alexandros]
A hungover Yagami wakes up, not remembering how he got where he is. But he doesn't want to admit the reason that he’s in no rush to get up.
(no spoilers)
-----------------------------
The sun streams into the windows of the Yagami Detective Agency, bathing the room in soft sunlight. This light was the fourth thing Takayuki Yagami registered upon rousing from his slumber.
The first thing was that he had a wicked headache. He attributes that to the alcohol he remembers drinking last night.
The second thing Yagami registered was that he was warm. Much warmer than usual. It was almost concerning.
And the third... he wasn't lying on the couch. No wait, he was on the couch. But, he wasn't alone.
Panic rises through him as he blinks awake, staring at the jaw of his detective partner, Kaito, slumbering peacefully. Yagami's head rests on the bigger man's shoulder. The rest of his body was splayed over Kaito's and the little bit of couch the larger man didn't occupy. He immediately takes note of everything, his detective brain suddenly being put to work.
Both men were still clothed, although they looked a bit tousled. Yagami’s signature jacket was thrown onto a chair, he could feel that his hair was completely disheveled, and Kaito's shirt was more unbuttoned than normal. Yagami registers that some of the dull thumps he was hearing was actually Kaito's heartbeat, and not his brain trying to bust through his skull.
The thing that troubles Yagami the most was that, as he awoke, he had no idea what happened last night, besides copious amounts of alcohol consumption, and this sent him into knots and spirals of nervousness.
He quickly attributes his lapse of memory to the alcohol as well, but this just made a slightly bigger worry. Did he do something last night that he doesn't remember doing?
"Hey, Tak. You alright?"
Yagami didn't notice when Kaito opened his eyes, but he's aware that he was doing nothing to hide his emotions. He puts up his mental walls, but not all of them, since it was just his partner with him.
"I.. yeah. I just have a really bad headache."
"You're telling me. Last night was fucking wild."
“Yeah, about that” Yagami avoids making eye contact with Kaito, attempting to squirm off of him, but still remain on the couch. He didn't want to get up quite yet. Facing the day in his current condition was not on his to-do list. “What exactly… happened last night?”
Kaito laughs, the sound and proximity of the noise making Yagami’s own chest and head vibrate. The bigger man shifts onto his side, allowing the more slender detective some couch space. Yagami shifts onto his own side, facing Kaito. His mind notes the amount of space between the two, which is very little, but he chooses to ignore it. He trusts Kaito with his life, after all.
“Well, you must’ve gone hard to not remember. Lemme think…” Kaito’s eyebrows crease, as they normally do when he digs through his memories. The sight makes Yagami smirk. It's kinda cute.
Wait, what?
“We went out to Tender last night, since everyone was fully recovered from The Mole case.”
Yagami thinks back, his mind starting to become clearer. Yeah, he remembers being at Tender. But he’s at Tender a lot. Especially with Kaito.
“Who else was there?” Yagami asks, making sure he’s recalling the right memory.
“Practically everyone. Saori, Hoshino, Sugiura, Ayabe, Higashi, that guy Tsukumo, hell even Genda and Mafuyu showed up for a little bit!”
Ah, that clears things up. Yagami thinks to himself, some of the brain fog finally being lifted. He remembers seeing Sugiura and Higashi, both smiling and happy after weeks of recovery. He recalls an overwhelming sense of joy and accomplishment, and general camaraderie from his former coworkers and peers.
“But then, how did we get here?” Yagami asks, gesturing to the small office.
Kaito laughs again, and Yagami recalls the sensation he felt when Kaito laughed earlier. He gets an urge to feel Kaito laugh again.
Hold up, what's happening?
“The two of us left at about 1am. You were stumbling so much, I had to keep a hold on you so you didn’t start any fights. I even carried you up the stairs to the office! If you can’t remember that, you had way too much to drink, Tak.”
Yagami’s mind creates an image of Kaito carrying him up the stairs, and Yagami feels his face warm. Was he blushing? Because of Kaito!?
“I don’t remember that at all." Yagami pauses, "I really didn’t do anything weird?”
“Nope,” Kaito replies. “Nothing I thought was weird, anyway.”
A bit of peace washes over Yagami, one fear being laid to rest. If there’s anyone he trusts with his drunk self, it’s Kaito.
“Well,” Kaito stretches. “might as well go get you some stuff for your hangover, if you’re already awake.”
But here’s the thing, Yagami doesn’t want Kaito to leave. Where the emotion came from, he’s unsure, but he needs him right now. In fact, there were a lot of things this morning that Yagami didn’t have an explanation for. He had no idea why they surfaced in the first place. He was gonna have a time sorting through these emotions.
There's one thing for certain: he can't blame the alcohol for this.
In a bold move that surprises even himself, before Kaito can sit up, Yagami snuggles up to him, resting his forehead on his partner’s chest. Kaito seems stunned.
“Hey, what gives, Tak?” Yagami yawns in response, suddenly very tired, and not quite registering what he’s saying out loud. He moves a hand to rest on Kaito's chest.
“Don’t leave.”
“What?”
“Still sleepy. But, you’re warm. Feels nice.”
Yagami hears Kaito chuckle again, and Yagami feels that same vibration from earlier, but not as strong. He smiles to himself, registering that it was the kind of laugh that only Yagami could pull out of his partner. The quiet, peaceful ones.
“Alright then. I’ll stay.”
Kaito’s arms wrap around Yagami, holding him tightly. Yagami's body relaxes under his touch, and he lets his eyes flutter shut. He doesn’t recall when he falls back asleep. He just remembers feeling warm and safe. He hopes he’ll find these feelings again, in his little pocket of happiness he's discovered.

The Return of Lowder Reviews: Digimon Adventure (Movie)/Digimon Adventure Review Part 1: A Short and Sweet Film
This review is going to be another short review.
Plot Summary
In Highton View Terrace, Tokyo, a boy named Taichi "Tai" Kamiya wakes up late at night and sees his sister Kari Kamiya looking at their dad's computer. Suddenly, a strange egg comes out of it. The next morning, Tai cannot believe his eyes when he realizes the egg is real. While their mother is out, the egg seems to develop a mind of its own when it escapes Kari's grasp and rolls away. It then hatches into a Botamon and immediately latches onto Tai's face. Tai throws it off, and it runs under the nearby bed. Tai tries to get it out by throwing his googles at it, but that just makes Botamon blow bubbles at him. Kari eventually gains its trust with her whistle and begins feeding it chocolate, causing it to digivolve into Koromon.
Now out of food, Kari steals the food belonging to their cat, Miko, and gives it to Koromon, who thanks her by latching onto her face as well and then Tai's. Miko soon finds Koromon with its food, however, and lashes out. Tai tries to protect him and, soon after, Koromon introduces himself. Tai is at first upset first because Kari is talking to Koromon but will only blow her whistle at him. He tells Tai and Kari that he is a Digimon from the Digital World. They don't really understand this and later head to bed, but Koromon suddenly digivolves into Big Agumon and begins roaming the streets, causing destruction on a small scale, while carrying Kari on his back.
Agumon is roaming around the city causing trouble while Tai frantically chases after him and Kari. Before he manages to cause any real casualties, a Parrotmon appears out of a huge egg in the sky. Agumon lashes out, which only angers the bird, causing it to destroy an overhead bridge and covering Agumon and the two kids in rubble. Out of the rubble, Red Greymon appears in Agumon's place and begins fighting back against Parrotmon. After a few minutes, Greymon is knocked out, and only awakens when Tai blows Kari's whistle as loud as he can. He then lets out a blinding fire breath attack, and the two Digimon vanish, leaving Tai and Kari alone amongst all the destruction. Yamato "Matt" Ishida, Sora Takenouchi, Koushiro "Izzy" Izumi, Mimi Tachikawa, Joe Kido, andTakeru "T.K." Takaishi all see the battle from their windows and are chosen as DigiDestined along with Tai and Kari four years later.
Thoughts
I'm going to be honest with you, this is one of the best animate films I have seen in my entire life. I love how this film looks and how well animated it is.
(About time I started incorporating my emotes into these reviews.)
This film reminds me a lot of when I was kid growing up and how much happier I was compared to now.
But I'm a lot happier now compared to the beginning of the year and last year, because of the people I've met both here and in real life.
Getting back to the review, Taichi and Hikari, even though they aren't as developed as they are in the show, are good protagonists to me because of how curious both of them are about Digimon and how they react to this unnatural situation, because, even though they head into danger, they are still little kids at the end of the day and that's okay.
Botamon/Koromon/Agumon/Greymon is a cute and enjoyable character and I love the friendship between him and the Yagami siblings. I love the fight between him and Parrotmon at the end of the film because of how stunning it is to look at it and how good the sound design was for the entire fight.
When it comes to story, its simplistic but I'm fine with it because this is suppose to be a preview to the actual show. Which from what I have read, is a lot more expansive compared to this film.
When it comes to problems, I think the only problems I have with this film are just some animation errors but I can mostly ignore most of those because of I think most of those can be ignored due to being small.
Conclusion
Overall, I think Digimon Adventure (Film) is a great film and I enjoyed my time watching it with the beautiful animation and the vibes making me feel nostalgic and happy.
Rating
Digimon Adventure (Film) gets a Lowder Reviews first, 10/10.
Join me next time when we enter the Digital World in Digimon Adventure (Season One).

never-ending up and down
It's the eve of the meeting at Yellow Box Warehouse, and Misa is getting bored. (mostly one-sided mogimane. 2.9k words, no major content warnings. crossposted on ao3.)
“Mocchi, I’m bored.”
It isn’t enough for Misa to announce that with her words alone. No, Amane Misa jumps to her feet and tosses her hand of cards into the air, then buries her dainty little fingers in the stack on the table and shoves them cascading onto the floor. Her former hand falls around her like snow as she turns back to Mogi and points a well-manicured nail at him.
“I don’t wanna play Go Fish anymore.”
Mogi blinks at the mess of cards, thinking back to last hour’s tossed chessboard. Misa had been losing then, too.
Then again, Go Fish is boring.
“We can stop,” Mogi offers, setting his own hand down on the table in a neat pile and beginning to pick up Misa’s mess. “What would you rather do?”
Misa sighs, loud and vocalized. She crosses her arms and walks away from the couch to the wooden dresser, then around the perimeter of the nicely-decorated hotel room with soldier-like steps until she reaches the window. In a single, sweeping movement, she pulls the pink velvet curtains open and presses her pale face against the glass.
“I want to leave,” she whines again. “Maybe if I yell loud enough, someone will come and break us out of here…”
Mogi’s blood runs cold. He stands up, blurting, “Hey, you don’t need to—”
“I’m not actually gonna do that,” Misa scoffs, pulling back from the window some. Her reflection rolls its eyes at him. “Duh, Light told us to stay here. I’m a good girl, Mocchi.”
Mogi relaxes. Eloquently, he replies, “Oh. Right.”
For a moment, they watch each other, and Misa’s expression is blank and unamused. Suddenly, she blinks and turns to face him, grinning.
“I’ve got it! Let’s just pretend this is a sleepover,” she exclaims, clapping her hands together. “Did you ever do sleepovers when you were in school, Mocchi?”
He has to think about that one. “Yes.”
“What did boys do at sleepovers?”
“I don’t know. Watch movies.” He frowns. “My friend swallowed a hundred yen coin on a dare once and had to go to the hospital.”
Misa grimaces. “Yeah, let’s not do that. I guess it would be hard to pretend this was a sleepover, anyway, since you’re a guy.”
Mogi isn’t sure how to respond to that, so he just says, “You could pretend I was a girl.”
Misa stares at him with her big brown eyes, then breaks out into giggles. “A girl? Come on, Mocchi! I’m not a method actor, you know.”
He has no idea what those things have to do with each other, but it had been a stupid response anyways, and he realizes that now that she’s laughing at him. Color rushes to his cheeks.
“Don’t be like that,” Misa teases. Her giggles die away, but the smile remains as she walks back to the couch, folding her arms over its stiff back and leaning to look at Mogi. “We might not be able to pretend this is a sleepover, but I have an idea.”
“What?” Mogi asks, thinking apprehensively back to every other idea Misa has had in the past four-odd years.
Flashing a peace sign, Misa exclaims, “Let’s play two truths and a lie!”
“Oh.” Mogi blinks. “Sure.”
“Yay!” Misa pumps her fist and walks back around the couch to reclaim her seat. “You know how to play, right?”
He finishes collecting the cards and sets them down in a stack on the table, then sits back down. “I do. Who’s starting?”
Misa taps a finger against her chin. “I’ll go! Let’s see… Here: my natural hair color is black—not dark brown, really black—and… my first manager was arrested for drug possession, and I haven’t eaten broccoli since I was five years old.”
When Mogi first met Misa, he had been arresting her.
The problem hadn’t started yet.
He had never been the type to keep up with idols or models or any of that, so he had never even heard of Misa-Misa before L identified her as a Kira suspect, back when he barely even knew Yagami Light. He had seen her around, and sure, he thought she was cute, but it was an objective assessment more than anything. Amane Misa was a model, after all. The possibility that she was a serial killer had been of considerably more interest. She hadn’t put up a fight, and that had been that.
“The last one is the lie,” he decides. “You’ve eaten broccoli more recently than that, right?”
“Wrong!” Misa crows, pumping her fist. “I tricked you! My first manager wasn’t arrested for drug possession—that was my second manager. My first manager died in a car crash.”
Mogi stares at her, dismayed.
She waves her hand dismissively. “It’s fine, it’s fine! He was a creep anyways. It’s your turn now.”
He shakes his head. “Um, okay. Uh… My family is Buddhist, I was in my high school’s Art Club, and I dated Matsuda’s sister for a year back when I first joined the NPA.”
Mogi never actually saw Misa’s confinement. After her arrest, L had him running errands and crunching numbers and overseeing the old office, so he never even set foot in whatever facility L was using. It wasn’t until after the higher-ups cut off their funding during the Yotsuba case that Matsuda told him about it—bound, blindfolded, unmoving, alone, nearly starving. Pigtails left in until her hair began to fall out. Horrific. The idea that he had contributed to that disturbed him, whether she was guilty or not, but it was too late by then, and Misa seemed so bubbly that he could almost forget about it entirely.
The problem hadn’t started then, either. He had focused on his work.
Misa gasps. “Matsu’s sister?! No way that’s true… Oh, but I want it to be! Aw… I’ll say the Art Club one is the lie. You’re a chef, not an artist! Please tell me you dated Matsu’s sister.”
“No, I was in the Art Club. I don’t think Matsuda has a sister.”
“Dang!” Misa huffs, crossing her arms. “I knew it was too good to be true.”
Mogi just shrugs. Apparently, that answer doesn’t satisfy Misa, who leans forward with a smug little smile on her face. “When was the last time you dated someone, anyway?”
“Not for a few years,” he says after a pause. “Because of the investigation.”
“That’s a bad excuse! Light has had plenty of time for me, you know,” she points out, shoving an accusing finger in Mogi’s direction. She seems to think it over for a moment, then taps her chin dejectedly. “Well, not so much recently, but that’s not his fault. We’re going to get married when this is over, you know. You could be getting married, too, if you’d started dating someone when Light and I did!”
“It’s your turn,” Mogi replies uncomfortably.
Misa sticks her tongue out at him. “Fine. I punched Matsu once, I have an Armorer Works M712 modelgun, and I won a surfing competition when I was 15.”
Mogi had never really spoken to Misa until he was assigned to act as her manager. He hated every moment of it; filling overenthusiastic Matsuda’s shoes isn’t exactly easy when you’re used to doing research and heavy lifting. The one decent part, at least, was that Misa was nice. She told him he was doing a good job, which was more than L did. L had just handed him the role and sent him on his way.
But the problem hadn’t started yet.
Huh. “You… you didn’t punch Matsuda. He would’ve told us.”
“Nope! I punched him during a movie shoot a few years ago because he tried to convince me to film a love scene,” she crows. “I made him swear not to tell anyone. It was easy, though—I think he was embarrassed to get punched by a girl. The real lie is the surfing competition one.”
“Why do you have a modelgun…?”
“One of the Yotsuba guys sent it to me after I interviewed with them,” Misa answers, wrinkling her nose. “I dunno why. It was really expensive, so maybe he was trying to show off. I don’t even remember his name now… I mean, he’s dead anyway. I think it was the bald one.”
Mogi can’t remember the bald one’s name, either, just Higuchi’s and Namikawa’s. For some reason, the thought of Misa receiving an expensive modelgun in the mail from a horny businessman is making him upset, so he decides to move on.
“I can sew, I can juggle, and I can pop my thumb out of place on command.”
After L died, the Task Force moved their headquarters into Light and Misa’s apartment. It had seemed a bit intrusive, but Mogi would’ve let them use his house if they had asked him to, so he couldn’t blame Light for offering. It had worked out well—except that Misa insisted on showing up in lingerie on odd nights, summoning a preoccupied Light to bed with her. At least, Light always seemed preoccupied. Mogi wonders now if he was really just disinterested.
Of course Misa was attractive. Of course Mogi blushed when she walked into the room. But, then, so did everyone except the Yagamis.
Still, the problem hadn’t started yet.
Misa frowns. “Okay, I need to get serious. Hm… The last one is a lie. I bet you can sew and juggle.”
“You’re right.”
“Yes!” She pumps her fist (again) in celebration. “My turn. I’d never been in a long-term relationship before Light, I dated a girl once, and I lost my virginity in high school.”
He had been fine with going back to headquarters and keeping an eye on Light in Aizawa’s place. He really had been. Misa had asked for him instead, though, ostensibly because of Aizawa’s haircut, and so he stayed, for days and days that turned into weeks and weeks, even as they returned to Japan.
She didn’t do anything suspicious for even a second. Instead, Mogi was swept away in a constant barrage of shopping and cooking and listening to Misa complain about Light’s old ex-girlfriends who she’d never met, and it almost felt like he had been turned from an investigator to a babysitter. Or a bodyguard. Sometimes he almost liked it, when he wasn’t busy worrying about the Kira situation. It was easy to like it, with Misa around.
Then one night, Misa had said something like, “Even though Light loves me and trusts me, he may think I’m having an affair because I’ve been with you for five whole days under the same roof,” and Mogi had just said yes, but he hadn’t really thought about it until he was on his own. Then he thought about it.
Oh no, he thought.
That’s when the problem started.
The fact that she’s engaged is bad; the fact that her fiancé is probably Kira is worse; the fact that she is/was also probably Kira is worse still. It never would’ve worked out.
Mogi feels like he’s been shot. He blinks hard for several seconds, hands stuck blandly on his lap. “You—isn’t that kind of… personal?”
Misa immediately breaks out into a fit of laughter, covering her mouth with one hand and pointing at Mogi with the other one. “Come on, Mocchi! How much time have we spent together lately? None of that stuff has mattered for a long time, anyway.”
“I don’t think I should say,” he begs. “Your sex life is none of my business…”
“Are you embarrassed?” Misa asks, laughing. “Well, you have to guess anyway, otherwise I win.”
“You can win.”
She pouts. “Come on, Mocchi! Aren’t you having fun? I am.”
Mogi sighs, and he suddenly realizes that he’s been hunching his shoulders to get closer to her height. He doesn’t move.
“The… the last one was the lie,” he finally says, defeated. He doesn’t really want to imagine that, which is mostly why he chooses it.
Misa immediately laughs, covering her mouth with one hand and pointing at Mogi with the other. “Wrong! You must think Misa is really pure. Well, things happen. Just don’t tell Light or he’ll get jealous. Not that it matters to me anymore—none of the boys I dated in high school hold a candle to my Light.”
Mogi wishes he was at home right now.
“Anyway, the one about dating a girl was a lie,” she continues. “I’m not a lesbian. Ew.”
Mogi doesn’t feel quite right about that but decides not to comment on it. Misa doesn’t need to know about his experience with the Tokyo gay scene. No one from his professional life does, for that matter.
“Do you want me to go again?” he asks instead.
Misa sighs. “You could at least pretend you’re enjoying this, Mocchi. Smile a little bit!”
Mogi lifts the edges of his mouth up into an empty smile, and Misa shakes her head, amused.
“I know you can do better than that,” she says. “Let’s do one more round! It’s not like you’re going to beat me, anyway.”
Mogi stares off into the dark world outside their hotel window, grasping at the little memories and skills that thread together in the fabric of his mind. Despite it all, he just isn’t very interesting. You’d think he’d have more stories to tell after this many years working on the Kira case and even more working with the NPA, but what does he do outside work? He exercises, he cooks, he sleeps. Sometimes it feels like there’s barely time for that anymore.
After racking his brain for as long as he can without eliciting prodding from Misa, Mogi finally says, “I wanted to work in television when I was a kid, last time I dated a woman I found out she was already married, and my first job was as a busboy.”
Ever since Takada entered the picture, Misa has been different. Spiteful, bitter, cruel. How much she really knows about Takada’s relationship with Light, Mogi can’t tell, but he can tell that she drinks and mocks and curses and raises her voice more often than she used to. And then she went out for dinner with Takada one night and left the building wasted and indecipherable, and Mogi let her lean her skinny little body against his as he led her to the car.
The Misa of a few months ago would never have told Mogi to take guesses about her sex life; that topic was surely off topic, aside from the odd insinuation about her and Light. Ever since that night, though, Misa has told Mogi a lot of things that he never would’ve thought to ask—not sexual stuff, really, just odd personal details and petty grievances with her peers and obscure details about random things. He wonders if she ever feels lonely.
He can’t help but pity Misa—thin, pale Misa with her fine hair, somehow undestroyed from years of bleaching, and her dainty fingers, unbruised despite all the death and tragedy they’ve caused. If Light is really Kira—and Mogi is almost certain by now that he is—then there’s no way he really loves her. As long as Mogi has known Misa, Light has been the sun around which she revolves, but what good does the sun have for the Earth? If he wins—and Mogi tries not to think about that, but if he wins —he’ll surely throw her away in the end. If he loses, he’ll be gone. What will she do without him, after having already lost so much? Mogi can’t bring himself to answer that.
But as much as he pities Misa, Mogi also can’t forget the thousands of people who have died because of her and her fiance. Ukita Hirokazu, Yagami Soichiro.
He can imagine her doing it. That’s the thing: He can’t even tell himself that poor, beautiful Misa would never hurt another person. There’s not a doubt in his mind that she would; there’s not a doubt in his mind that she has. He can’t imagine she feels bad for it, either, or ever has. She would probably kill him, too, if it came down to it.
Is it wrong to forgive an unrepentant murderer just because of her smile, her voice, her eyes, her hair, her hands, her complete isolation from everything left for her in the tragedy she’s made? It is. He knows it is.
Amane gasps. “Okay, I know the one about television is a lie. No way!”
Mogi, dazed, barely has time to confirm her guess before she exclaims, “Really?! You dated a married woman. You?!”
“Not for long,” Mogi insists, embarrassed. “Just for a few days. I broke up with her once I found out.”
“Oh, Mocchi, that’s so scandalous,” Amane laughs. “But it’s kind of romantic, isn’t it? She must’ve really liked you.”
He stares. “Romantic? You mean—cheating?”
“Well, I would never cheat,” she scoffs. After that, though, she smiles, leaning back and resting her cheek in her hand. “She must’ve been a lesser woman, though, and I can see why she’d choose you. You might’ve been my type, if I wasn’t so in love with Light. You’re a really sweet guy, you’re a great cook, and you’ve got a nice body. I’m sure you’ll find someone after the Kira investigation ends!”
“You think so?” Mogi asks, mostly to himself.
“Sure I do,” Amane says, and maybe he’s imagining the sadness in her voice.
“Near,” Commander Rester says, “I don’t think we’re going to learn anything useful from this.”
Near tosses a dart into his circle of Lego figures, sending the Misa toppling to the floor.
“No,” he sighs, “of course we’re not.”

Death Note. デスノート. 7.8/10
I would not recommend this manga to my friends. i would not reread this manga.
I believe this is the first kind of content that made me stay up to consume.
Poor Raye and Naomi.
Light is so smart, it's hot. So cute when Amane calls L a friend and now that he has more friends, they hold hands in a circle and spin. Fav scene, hands down. Ryuk is my favorite character. He's funny and real. I'm honestly amused by all the food and snacks that L eats. Mogi's kinda hot. I do like the mentality of only working on cases that interest you. Rem<Ryuk in terms of looks. But, I really respect Rem.
I cannot with how much of a sub Misa Amane is. I just feel like my interest was highest when og L was alive. I hate when people get really pathetic when they were once so capable. e.g. light when facing death, Mikami when facing the loss of a god.
I really thought L faked his death and had Father Yagami in on it. Why is L's real name L? LOL. Omg, Amane Misa is older than Light?
Aw at how Near asks Lester to come to go on a plane with him since it's his first time.
Memorable Quotes: "I have in my hands the means and in my heart, the will." "The only thing going on here is a duel of wits." "God or no god, I care not." "Sometimes, one must stop and think about the next step." "How did he arrive at the realm of evil?" "What is god? And, what is a person?" "After death, their destination is nothingness."

Author’s Notes: So, ‘The Doctor’ is named like ‘Trent’ or something in the series (I guess?) but, in this series, his name is Tsumaru.

Yagami Koji was distracted. They had a huge house back on the mainland in Subami where he’d been raised a majority of his life. A mansion. The place had like sixteen rooms. He had a room that he could still go back to. Instead, his dumbass thought he’d come to Mineral Town, help Jill out a little on the side, and weigh his circumstances. He took into no account for this. And by ‘this’ he meant that he’d never want anyone more for the rest of his life. Yamachi Popuri sat at the bar in one of his favorite Subami nightclubs, smiling, as she sipped a Tequila Sunrise. He stuck to beer. As long as he was drinking beer, he could keep it together. Liquor loosened his senses a bit too much and, as was, even sober he was unraveling. It was the sort of fate he didn’t want to believe in but it kept smacking him in the face right now. He’d found himself resolved to get a job and work his way up. Despite the fact that he had a contact that said if he came in with his graduate degree, he started four levels higher in the chain of command, a graduate degree was two additional years of his life. He had the ability, he knew he could work his way up the chain in at least three years. So, he’d walked into their grandfather’s old farmhouse, placated, at around seven and got sideswiped. Popuri had been sitting on the couch, idly looking at television. That was normal though, nothing off the mark…it was just that black, tight, laced and lacy corset with nothing underneath and skintight jeans she was wearing. He literally almost ran back out of the house. “U-Uh, hey” he had managed to greet. She’d looked up at him and smiled and his head went into loops. And that was the problem, the loops took sidetracks into other loops he’d already cleared. Maybe two years wasn’t that bad? Especially to have a degree that put him at an executive level and in another two years he could be higher. And it wasn’t like he was assured to be promoted doing grunt work. And damn, she was hot. Koji groaned, sipping his Heineken miserably. He was so confused. And more so about why his sister stood up her friend. He’d asked what Popuri was up to back in Mineral Town and she shrugged, trying to hide her disappointment, “Jill said she was going to go with me to this nightclub but I guess something must’ve come up. When I called her, she picked up for a sec and told me she’d call me back but that was an hour or two ago. Now I’m just hanging out. I guess I’ll go on home.” Naturally, just naturally, he offered to go with her instead. She had been reluctant and tried to say he didn’t have to but he could tell she wanted to and here they were, in a nightclub together, drinking. It didn’t have to go anywhere but…Popuri mm’d, setting down her glass, “I want to dance. Do you dance?” Oh boy. “I, uh, do…” “Really? Come dance with me!” He smiled awkwardly as she pulled him to the floor. Maybe she wasn’t a good dancer. Or not even that, a break dancer. Break dancing was a different kind of art, not sexy.
Koji could only stare as she sultrily rolled her hips to Crazy in Love and wonder where it all went so wrong. …It honest to God didn’t hit him until he came to Mineral Town that he was strangely naïve, but from around the time he was ten until he was fifteen, he was under the impression their ‘engagement’ meant something. Around the end of his optimistic hoping, he had come to see her, to verify it was still going to be a thing and…well, she had someone. It shouldn’t have but it kind of shattered his hopes and from then on, he abandoned most relationships just to be a promiscuous whore. Most. But, when he met her again, she was pragmatic, thinking it was just this cute thing kids did. Yea, that made more sense, he was just…hopeful. At the end of the day, he thought he’d put Yamachi Popuri and their fairytale childhood behind him. Koji swallowed hard when she pressed against him, still smiling. Now it was turning into some sordid adult fairytale where he wanted to fuck her and make her pancakes in the morning then rub her feet. “I thought you said you danced!” “I…do…” Somehow, somehow, he was able to grind with her and not get too excited. And boy howdy, was she trying, he thought as she playfully turned around and writhed her ass against his crotch. Her butt probably jiggled naked. He held her thighs, closing his eyes and grinding against her. Apparently, their family was considered attractive but he wasn’t sure he found himself that good-looking. He probably wasn’t as attractive to her as she was to him by even a longshot. This could very well be one-sided attraction and he needed to pull his life together.
Popuri’s hair had started to coil in the hot gathering of bodies pressed together, her arms around his neck as her red eyes pierced into his soul. Yea… He was distracted.

Down past the grocery store and a few spaced out homes was a little clinic. It was the only available medical facility in this town of a couple thousand and that was pretty ridiculous. At the same time, these people must’ve been very hardy, very cautious, or just endlessly healthy. He only treated perhaps ten people a day at most and for nothing strenuous. His sister told him it was a stupid move to come to Mineral Town and, at times, he found himself agreeing. Other times, like today? He wasn’t so sure. Ishikawa Tsumaru, known by the townsfolk as The Doctor, being that he was the only one, raised a brow at Izumi Cliff, the man lying on the medical bed with a bruised forehead. Nothing he’d never seen before in his life, just peculiar. Running his fingers through his dark hair, he glanced to the side where Yagami Jill was sitting quietly. He’d heard about her, the newest occupant to come since Cliff did a year or two ago. It hadn’t really interested him at the time until he saw her in passing. Yagami Jill…her father, Yagami Yamada, had been his professor back in college for a few courses. On exam days, the man would bring his daughter to class, perhaps eight to ten years old at the time. It was often amazing how time passed, seeing her as a young woman now. And, due to his tremendous respect for her father, he felt this young woman might have stumbled into something a little tricky with Izumi Cliff and he was concerned. “So, what happened again?” Tsumaru questioned. When Cliff had been admitted by his only nurse, Yamaguchi Elli, Tsumaru had been tending to Yamachi Lillia. He did the best he could for the woman. She had a rare respiratory disease and while he studied hundreds of texts to try to find a treatment, he usually came up with what he was already doing. All he could do was treat her. Jill looked up, her blue eyes strained. He figured he was about to face something similar here. “W-Well, Cliff had gotten off early because of the snow and he told me he’d be home soon. I-I got worried when a couple hours passed and I hadn’t heard from him. And he didn’t pick up his phone either so I…I went by Doug’s to see if he was there and, uh, Doug said he’d just left. I went around and couldn’t find him in any of the common areas so I was about to shortcut through the festival square and…found him face down on the ground there.” “…Mm.” Tsumaru liked Cliff. They weren’t very close but they were at least friendly. He was a cheerful, sociable sort of guy. He seemed to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder but really, who didn’t? Picking up the chart to see if Elli had found any viable illnesses that caused this fainting spell, Tsumaru pursed his lips. Blood pressure was good, temperature was good, blood count was good. Blood Alcohol Concentration was 0.20. Rubbing his forehead, he offered Jill a smile because she looked lost. There wasn’t really much to say here because both of them knew Cliff got blackout drunk for whatever reason and here they were. “U-Um, well, he’ll be fine after a few hours, Yagami-san, I promise.” “…I know” she murmured. She was probably a few months from twenty? It felt inappropriate to ask. However, nineteen years old was a little young to be dealing with a person’s addictions when she really had no reason to. As it stood, Cliff had little reason to change this habit. He had a home, a job, and a devoted girlfriend. His problem hadn’t affected those aspects yet… “You can go home, Yagami-san. He’ll probably sleep until morning” Tsumaru offered, setting the clipboard back on the wall. “…Is it all right if I stay with him?” “Well, of course, if you want…” “Thank you, Tsumaru—sorry, Dr. Ishikawa.” Eh? His eyes widened a bit, startled. Very few people knew his first name—he was the Doctor, after all. Just surely she didn’t remember him from ten years ago? “You…you remember me?” Jill looked surprised by this sentiment somehow, “Well, of course. You were one of papa’s favorite students, you know? He still speaks of you to this day.” “I’m…I’m honored on both accounts.” She smiled for the first time since he’d entered the room. It was a little distant but still unexpectedly warm. Clearing his throat, he nodded his head, “I’m going to run him an IV so he won’t be too dehydrated come morning. And I’ll get you a pillow and a blanket. That chair is nothing to be proud of though so I’d still recommend just heading home and getting some rest.” “Oh, I’ll make it fine” she assured, “Thank you, doctor.” Nodding again absently, he exited the room and glanced to Elli. She was currently grinding medicinal herbs in a pestle and mortar. Her brown eyes looked up briefly before she shook her head, her short bob of brunette hair bouncing with the movement. “He’s not going to make it that way, Doctor.” “No, I should say not…” …And that young woman shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of keeping him going either.

Yamachi Popuri peeked around as she walked up the narrow stone steps leading to the mountains. It was two am and though she was nuts for being out here, she needed the distraction. Hugging her winter coat a little tighter to her body, she quickly pushed the wooden door open and stood inside the small room that would lead to the hot spring. While it was freezing, she hung up her coat, naked save for a towel, and sat on the stool to quickly wash herself off first. It wasn’t the most thorough of jobs but it would do, she shivered, putting the towel back on and taking a dry one with her for when she got out. Opening the door to the hot spring, she was prepared to just drop her towel and dive in. Instead, she almost screamed. Yagami Koji was sitting in the spring, his arm outstretched and a little bowl of what she presumed was sake in his hand. Staring at him, she shook her head, “…Where the hell did you get sake from?” He smiled, sipping the drink, “I have my ways.” “What are you doing here so late?” “I could ask you the same, it’s not safe” Koji countered. Sulking, she shivered some, “Oh yea? So it’s not dangerous for you?” “Let’s just say danger and I don’t meet on equal terms…” What now? Koji blinked at her, his eyes closing some. “…Why don’t you join me?” …Eep. “T-That’s not--” “I’ll turn around. I won’t see anything in the water.” …Ugh. Popuri flustered, gesturing with her finger for him to do so. Koji set his cup down and turned to face the barrier fence surrounding the hot spring. She quickly dropped the towel and sank down into the water up to her chin. This…seemed like a very bad idea. “I-I’m in.” Koji turned back and picked his drink back up, staring up at the stars. Leering, she mumbled, “You never answered my question.” He shrugged before pointing to his shoulder where an elaborate tribal maybe raven tattoo was and his upper bicep where the kanji ‘kazoku’ was printed. “Don’t get to go to hot springs with these anymore.” “O-Oh, I forgot about that, actually.” “You?” “As you can imagine, if anyone knew I came here, I might have…unsavory visitors” she groaned. Koji nodded and closed his eyes. Biting her lip, she found herself glaring in his direction. This was simply…absurd.
Her mind had long ridded itself of fantastical things like fairytale romances and soulmates. She stopped being her father’s ‘little princess’ and became a practical human being. While she smiled at the concept of Koji having asked her to marry her when they were only ten, that he gave her a promise piece, it wasn’t feasible and it’d be sincerely a tad ridiculous. Or…so she had said to herself. And then this human being shows back up. He wasn’t the Koji she remembered. Ten-year-old Koji was sweet and mild-mannered. 22-year-old Koji was sweet but far from mild-mannered and far from innocent. ‘Danger and I don’t meet on equal terms’. Yea, they probably were one and the same just Koji outranked the other. She really had hoped she wasn’t the type to fall for the bad boy. Glancing over what she could see of him, she flushed. He was pretty back then and he was about the sexiest thing she’d ever seen in her life now. Even when he wasn’t flexing his muscles, his whole body had these beautiful toned shapes. His dark eyes were so cutting yet warm, the jewels of a very gorgeous face. His skin was somewhat pale, yes, she heard from Jill that he generally kept that complexion but it fit those silky mahogany locks of hair. And oh, so few people here had tattoos. She forgot she thought they were attractive. …And, when they went to the club and she was grinding with him? She noticed he was probably…very impressive in other regions too. Silently screaming into her hands, she dragged them down her face in dismay. Yagami Koji was Jill’s brother and her child playtime fiancée. He also took her out to lunch every other day, went out with her at her whim, and would hangout with her at night. Koji had even started to make her dinner! He was sexy and sweet. She was getting something pretty close to a darn fairytale by relationship standards! He opened his eyes, seeming dazed as if he’d fallen asleep briefly. Get it together, Popuri. Look at this beautiful specimen of a man, what was he going to see in a weird looking person like you? Koji gazed at her quietly and she smiled nervously. Well…something, maybe? He was always looking at her. Get a grip. He suddenly swirled his pointer finger, his deep stare never breaking. What now? …Oh! She quickly turned around, hearing him slosh out of the water. Tuh, here she was saying she came here at two in the morning because of peeping Toms and she was very tempted to peek. She rested her arms on the edge as Koji wandered by, wearing a towel around his narrow hips. Without another word, he went into the little dry off area. Yea, she…she ought to get ready to go home too. After about twenty more minutes, she rushed out, drying off quickly and using a small blow dryer to dry her hair. She exited once she was completely dry, not wanting to catch a chill for this bit of luxury. When she walked out of the small building, she jumped to find Koji leaning against the wall, smoking a cigarette. Eh? “I-I thought you left.” “Nah” he said simply, exhaling a fragrant billow of smoke, “I’ll walk you home.” Popuri pouted, crossing her arms, “Who said I was going home? I might have something else to do.” “Maybe if you were anywhere else in the world” he smirked some, tapping the black cigarette. Meh. She strode toward the mountains, huffing, “Well, I’m going up to the plateau. I haven’t looked at the stars up there in a while. And it is the Starry Night Festival.” “Hell is that?” Koji echoed, confused. Naturally, he followed when she was trying to separate herself from him and these ridiculous feelings. She groaned to herself, listening to her footsteps crunch in the light snow that had fallen earlier. “…It’s a festival where we look at the stars. Usually you have dinner with someone too.” “Oh. So a romantic holiday.” Koji sounded rather passive about it. Romantic holidays probably weren’t a big thing for him unless he could get into somebody’s pants. That was right, Jill insisted he was just a big playboy. It was just his charm that was getting her, nothing concrete. After a few shortcuts and roundabouts, they arrived where they used to play all those years ago. Koji looked surprised, his hands stuffed in his pockets. “…Wow, it’s just like it used to be.” “Mm” she smiled, agreeing. He carefully followed beside her, seeming astounded. “…I can’t believe flowers are growing right now, it’s freezing.” “Oh, you’ve never seen snowdrops before?” she gushed, “They’re hardy enough to make it around here in the cold.” Koji kneeled and dusted the snow off one, quiet as he observed. It was…a déjà vu moment. “…Do you remember how we’d play in the flowers? And you’d make flower crowns for me because I had the whole princess thing going on? You were a very doting fiancé.” He snickered, “Yea, something like that.” Blowing into her hands, she turned to look at the moon and the stars. When it was winter, the sky was just so clear and sharp. Clarity… “Funny thing about time, y’know? You lose that whimsy and joy somewhere. Somewhere along, calling yourself a princess just becomes self-serving or childish. Maybe even a joke.” “Why is that?” Koji asked absently. “Why?” she echoed, “It just does.” “Jill will be my princess until the day I die. I will only ever expect the best for her, I will only ever accept the best for her, and I will make sure she knows she’s special. I’ll dote on her and I’ll protect her and I’ll never let her want for anything. Whimsy and joy, be damned.” Somehow she had to smirk because Koji did treat Jill like a princess. Jill had groaned that he’d recently made her breakfast in bed. “Now, I have to ask: do you think she wants that? Sometimes it’s the princess that progresses out of that.” “She will” Koji murmured. He seemed preoccupied, she wasn’t currently watching him, trying to be…aloof? “I can see it now: she’ll have a husband and a family. All that stuff I said won’t be my solid concern anymore. I’ll always hope but she’s an adult now and I have to take a step back. But my baby sister is special to me and no matter what happens, she’ll always be special in my eyes.” Popuri silently nodded, folding her hands. She didn’t know about close family things like that. She was close enough with her mother but her brother may as well have been a stranger. He’d never speak the way Koji did about Jill about her. And her father…? He was just a ghost now. Her family was very…damaged. “And you shouldn’t give up whimsy or joy either.” Raising a brow, she felt him nearer and turned around. Her eyes widened as he gently rested a crown of the soft white flowers around her head, blinking thoughtfully as he adjusted it. She swallowed, trembling but not due to the cold. “H-Huh, w-wouldn’t think you’d keep old habits like this.” He smiled, something she noticed was a little rare for him. He had changed too, just… “Yea, old habits don’t really die, I suppose.” Just… Koji gazed at her, blinking slowly, “…You have a special place with me too, Popuri. I know it was an innocent place back then, perhaps even illogical, but…those memories are important to me.” “A-Ah, me too!” she blurted, “S-Sorry if it ever seemed otherwise. They’re…they’re some of the only sweet ones I have.” Frowning, Koji slowly reached to stroke her hair back. “…I hope that changes one day.” She gazed up at him, wondering what mischief was afoot to put her on a mountain with her adolescent Prince Charming so he could woo her again with flower crowns and niceties. He softly leaned down and she could have stopped him. Should have… He kissed her sweetly, a soft nip, his arms wrapping around her waist. Against all her apprehension, she hugged his neck, kissing back. She couldn’t believe this.
Koji breathed softly as he pulled away, his eyes half closed as he stared down at her. “…Let me get you home.” “O-Okay.” Popuri flustered as he held her hand, leading the way back down the mountain and through the little shortcuts they used to take from her house. She…didn’t really have to let him hold her hand. Like, she had to get it together, this was crazy. All the same, by the time she found even a slight version of will to do so, they were in front of the chicken farm. He was the one to pull away, returning his hands to his pockets. “…Good night, Popuri.” “G-Good night, Koji.” She walked slowly to her door and turned back to watch him trudge up the path back toward the old farmhouse. Biting her lip, she turned the knob quietly and entered into the dark abode. …So much for pragmatism.

“Jill, really, I’m sorry.” Yagami Jill quietly chopped vegetables for dinner. She wanted a nice satay and perhaps a Merlot. She sent Koji, whom she had viewed as a prime example of an alcoholic since he started drinking. Funny that her views were changing to accept that, perhaps, there are multiple versions. Izumi Cliff was standing near her, his head still wrapped from his ‘accident’. God help him if she hadn’t found it odd he wasn’t home yet after his call. While the town’s women liked to go to the square to gossip, when it snowed? It was absolutely deserted. Someone might’ve taken a shortcut through it if they were out to begin with but it was coming down pretty heavy. Head injury aside, he very well could have gotten hypothermia. Basting sauce onto the meat, she slowly shook her head. “…I told you, Cliff, it’s okay.” “It’s not. You’ve been upset with me for days and you have every right to be. I-I promise it won’t happen again” he insisted. He was working at a winery. A winery. Temptations were all around him! She was even getting said temptation to have with their chicken! Jill sulked as he hugged her waist, kissing her cheek. For the most part though, he had been coming home normally after work and not going for his little ‘errands’ to Doug’s so…Jill sighed as he kissed her neck, rumbling, “We haven’t been alone in…a while, y’know?” “Yea…” “Maybe dinner can wait…” he whispered into her flesh, nipping. Nope. It was only because of years of being around that human being but she was slightly disturbed she wasn’t even a little alarmed when Cliff yelped loudly. Koji, like an absolute phantom, had appeared behind them, the wine in one hand and Cliff’s ponytail in the other. “I’d watch where you put those lips, pretty boy. Would be a shame if I have to remove them from your face.” Cliff looked horrified and Jill smirked as Koji casually released Cliff and set the wine on the table like he hadn’t just threatened to violently wound someone. “Koji, can you please not be like that?” Koji gave her a ‘really?’ look, his brows raised, and her smirk widened. “Sorry, how could I ask you for something so reasonable?” “But did I actually remove his face?” Snickering, Jill kissed Cliff’s bothered, not removed, face, patting his hand, “Don’t mind him, baby. Seriously, he’s being very, very laidback compared to what I actually thought he’d be.” Yes, Koji threatened bodily harm and whatnot if the opportunity presented itself. However, a pre-twenty’s Koji would not have threatened, he would have attacked. Koji got some very light counseling for his anger issues at some point when he entered college from their health department but not enough to warrant this much of a change. He’d really mellowed out though. She was shocked when he showed some mild concern for Cliff when they came back from the clinic, citing the diagnosed concussion Cliff had was nothing to play with and that he take it easy. She’d been fearful for years how Koji would treat her potential boyfriend but he far exceeded expectation…
Said boyfriend just sighed miserably, however, unaware that Koji had been fighting grown men that sexualized and swore they were going to get into her pants one way or another since she was six years old. She knew Yagami Koji was overprotective but she also knew why and…that was a difficult switch to turn off. Cliff excused himself to wash up before dinner and she bit her lip, wandering over to Koji who sat on the couch to watch television. “Koji…” His dark eyes cut to her as she hugged his neck from behind, pouting, “I think you’re doing a good job but can you try even harder for me not to be as mean? Cliff is someone I’ve chosen and it’s different than those guys you used to beat up.” He rolled his eyes around, shrugging his shoulders, “Jill, I am doing the absolute best I can, okay? I mean, I literally walk into this house at three in the morning and can hear things from your room and mind my business. That is taking every ounce of self-control I have, it’s exhausting.” “I know—wait, what are you doing around here until three in the morning?” “What now?” Jill leered at him as he immediately started to look off and away from her. “Koji, the ferry’s last trip is at twelve and nothing here is open until three. What are you doing?” “Smoking?” “I would believe that if, a, it wasn’t a question, and b, you didn’t do it from your room” Jill snorted. Twiddling his fingers, he drawled, “Aren’t I the older one?” “You’re still busted. Or pre-busted until I figure out what—or who you’re doing at three in the morning” Jill rolled her eyes, walking back to check on the food. Figured. Koji was a magnet for finding something to do. Or, as she noted, someone. There were some pretty women around here but it would just be disastrous if he was a playboy here like back home. It had been two months though and it was unlikely he would go this long… Cliff returned, smiling warmly at her and quickly giving her a kiss, whispering into her ear he couldn’t wait for bed. Hell, now even she couldn’t go that long. Just she had to wonder…who?
____________________________________________
She hadn’t had sex in four years. Yamachi Popuri smiled nervously as she sat on the sofa in the Yagami Farm with Koji. Just Koji. Jill mysteriously had the idea to go to the mainland to get some specific food. Probably about a three hour journey. Cliff, of course, went with her and they assured they’d be as fast as possible so don’t go anywhere. Still, an hour to get there, about an hour to get to the food, then an hour to get back. Three hours…with just Koji. He was relaxed, watching television with his arm outstretched over the back of the couch. She was a wreck. The kiss. It was just a cute little kiss, nothing more, nothing less. Except, sometimes they would still kiss. It was so…pubescent. She would sneak out of her house and he would sneak out and they’d make out in the barn or in the hot spring’s room. Popuri sighed to herself, rubbing her temple. He was a gentleman. They’d take a walk after and talk about things but she wondered if he just thought that was polite after she was so pro-spit swapping so quickly. It was hard to call but, for some reason she couldn’t grasp, she made sure when she came over today to wear the black lacy thong and black lacy bra underneath her black lacy corset dress. She wore a hoodie though, that…that downplayed it, right? Enough. Hell, he wasn’t even instigating the kissing parts, she was! She was the master playgirl in this combo! Koji smiled suddenly, his brows furrowing, “Are you okay?” “H-Huh? I’m fine” she quickly gushed. “You just seem a little out of sorts…” She rapidly shook her head, “N-No, no, everything is fine!” Suddenly, he sighed and turned off the television. Oh no. “Popuri…if you’re uncomfortable with the whole…us being on…makeout terms, that’s fine. You can tell me.” Biting her lip, she scrunched the cloth of her dress, looking back out toward the window and praying that ferry sprouted wings or randomly became a sci-fi teleporter so Jill and Cliff could return to interrupt…this? “N-No, Koji. The problem is I’m not…uncomfortable. In fact, I’m a little too comfortable.” Koji tilted his head, his eyes closing some, “…Go on.” Oh God. “I-I mean, i-isn’t it weird to you, making out with-with a childhood friend?” “Well, no” Koji drawled, “I mean, it was weird at first but I guess I have a type and I knew early? I don’t know.” Type? “I’m your type?” “I’m sure Jill has spoken on my…promiscuous habits. And, yes, sometimes my…antics lead to not much precursor but usually I need some kind of chemistry with my partners. And I promise you, if you weren’t ‘my type’, I would not sneak out at two in the morning. I’ve never had to sneak out of a house in my life and didn’t figure I was going to be starting at 22.” Somehow, that made her smile. “Sorry.” “Well, as I said, I wouldn’t do it if I weren’t interested so don’t apologize” he assured, absently playing with her hair. …Maybe she should leave. “Y-Yea. Um, I-I probably should go either way though” she rasped, starting to stand. Koji frowned, “Already? I’m sure the food won’t be much longer.” “N-No, I-I’m not very hungry anyway.” He shrugged, “Well, we do have the place to ourselves.” Danger. “Y-Yes, but--” Popuri swallowed when he rubbed her upper leg, gazing into her eyes. Yes, danger. He leaned in, kissing her sweetly. Sweetly. Sometimes he’d slip, get passionate, press his tongue against hers. She wanted…that tonight. Koji actually yelped when she pushed him back, sitting on top of his crotch and taking off the hoodie. His eyes widened, probably at the insane amount of boob this thing showed she had. He’d try not to but she saw him looking. Usually she was more…self-conscious about them but, oh, trying to get some, she had them on full display. He looked speechless. “…U-Uh, P-Popuri” he stammered, “L-Let’s talk about this, okay?” “Okay.” She leaned over, pressing her chest to his and making sure to rub against his crotch with hers. He visibly swallowed, gazing down for a long moment. “…Um…talk. Talk! Yes!” Popuri giggled, kissing down his throat, “I’m listening…” “…And I’ve got nothing.” Her turn to squeak, she grabbed his shoulders when he sat up, pulling her legs to straddle his torso. She bit her lip when, of course, the first thing he did was uncover her breasts. “Koji—” She closed her eyes as his mouth sank around her nipple, suckling. Expected…but she trembled when his hands ran up and down her back, shifting the dress up her body. He squeezed her ass hard before suddenly withdrawing. There was a very…wolfish quality in his eyes, like the vessels had taken on a whole new light. “…I don’t think I want this on the couch.” Eh? He picked her up, still straddling him, and kissed her hard, managing to do that and carry her upstairs. Oh no. Koji rested her in bed, sitting up on his haunches and peeling off the black shirt he was wearing. When they came upstairs, she started to have second thoughts. Now she was having third. Popuri gnawed her lip, watching his abs start to flex, his necklace falling against his naked flesh. She reached up and grabbed the hem of his jeans, pulling him down on top of her. No, she…she wanted this. Bad. She rasped as he kissed her hard, tugging the dress up over her breasts. She crossed her ankles around his back, hugging his neck tight. Koji stroked her thigh, his lips moving back down her chest, his lips wrapping around her tit and squeezing the other gently. She bit her lip, about to advise that she wasn’t very into boob play. Of course, she shivered, maybe the people she’d been with prior weren’t aware of how to play with her boobs… “Fuck” Koji whispered, pulling away and sitting up to unzip his pants. Licking her lips, Popuri watched as he dragged down his jeans, seeing her expectations may be exceeded... Ugh, she hadn’t…done that in a while. He looked confused as she shyly pushed him back into the bed, grasping the hem of his boxer briefs. But, well, she wanted to be…hospitable. This was her idea. Surprisingly, Koji snickered, grasping her forearms and pulling her to his chest to finally remove her dress. “We’re on a little bit of a time crunch, unfortunately, beautiful. And I’d rather get you nice and slippery than have you worry about me of all people getting hard.” She flushed, alarmed, when he gently lied her on her back, taking her place. “U-Um, I-I’m sure I’m wet enough.” He stroked her inner thigh, blinking absently. “…Tell me what you’re not comfortable with.” “E-Eh? I’m-I’m not really uncomfortable with anything!” she blurted. Koji grinned wickedly, his eyes closing some, “Now, now, don’t say anything so infinite.” Pouting at him, Popuri gulped when he tugged her panties down her legs. She was horrified but spread her legs, unabashed, gnawing her lip. There were some things she would be uncomfortable with but she had to see what that was first. Koji stared for a long moment before randomly looking up into the distance. What?? “…Nothing, had to wonder if I was fantasizing really hard for a second.” Sticking out her tongue, she reached down and touched herself. “Hey, you just said we don’t have a lot of time.” Koji silently ran his fingers down the folds over her hand, drawling, “That’s…that’s true…” She closed her eyes as he grazed his fingertips around the rosy flesh, massaging and gently kneading her lower lips together. Popuri blushed, embarrassed because she was wet and literally very little had happened. Her ‘fiance’ reached over into the nightstand, pulling out of the drawer…lube. Oh. He poured it down her skin before rubbing a bit more… “Ko—ah!” Popuri was about to sulk that he was going quite…slow until he used his thumb to fold back the ‘hood’ and exposed her clit, running his finger around the nub. Whimpering, she grasped one of his arms, her eyes rolling back as his oiled finger made tiny laps. “A-Ah, K-Koji, t-that skin i-is there for-for—nnn, a-reason.” He just chuckled, moving his finger to inside of her. “I dunno, baby, this wet pussy tells me you might like it just fine without it…” Her heart skipped as he leaned down, grabbing one of the pillows and placing it at the curve of her back? When she questioned this, he teased, “Just want you to be comfortable. I eat slow.” What a perv! She choked, breathing hard, when he, once again, started to play with her clit before leaning down and…wait, what was-- It felt…like round metal was rolling around her sex. It felt like absolute ecstasy. She moaned, reaching to run her fingers through his hair as he suckled and did whatever that was. Driving her feet into his shoulder blades, all she could do was nibble her finger, whimpering at the sensation. This was insane-- It may have been minutes or hours but she felt herself start to shake, “Koji! Koji!” He lifted his head, fingering her and stroking her already abused nub as she arched her back, clenching her nipples, coming against his hand. Breathing hard, she swatted his eager fingers away, turning on her side and hugging her chest as she heaved, everything just throbbing with pleasure. Rubbing her thigh, Koji curled into her back, purring into her ear, “I don’t accept just one orgasm, princess…” “W-What?” “Mm” he mused, nipping her ear, and reaching between her legs, “You’re still not quite wet enough.” What? Popuri could have screamed when he stroked her folds. It wasn’t rough or aggressive, a nice pace and pressure that she would have never expected from a man. They were all usually so impatient-- Her eyes were almost in the back of her head when he pulled her flat on top of him, pumping his fingers into the soaking wet flesh. She had no idea what he was talking about! Her hips bucked off of his, bumping into his rock hard cock. “J-Just put it inside of me!” “Not until you come again” he said in an almost chastising tone. If she came one more time, she was done. Everything was hard and sensitive, his fingers playing with her tits almost unbearable. Popuri covered her mouth, her legs quaking as she… “Fuck! Fuck!” she cried out, her head falling back against his shoulder. Koji chuckled huskily, licking her neck. She felt the cold metal…did he have…? “My, am I being a bad influence?” She couldn’t even breathe to answer that but screw him! Literally. His eyes widened as she managed to get up. It would take every last ounce of her strength but she grasped his penis, stroking him for a second before mounting. He groaned this time as she started to ride him, lifting her hips up and down over his manhood. “Fuck, Popuri…” Popuri wasn’t certain but she was pretty sure she blacked out for a solid twenty seconds. Koji actually snapped her out of it, looking a little alarmed. “Are you okay? We can stop--” The hell they could. Just apparently only one of them was in prime form right now. Grasping his balls, she shook as she pulled away before turning over on her stomach, her hips in the air as she swayed her ass. Koji was oddly still. “…Yea, I’m fantasizing.” “Just put it in, dork” she sulked. He sat up on his knees, planting his hands on her thighs and squeezing as he pushed inside of her. Usually she didn’t enjoy doggystyle but there was literally no part of this she hadn’t enjoyed yet. Koji rolled his hips in some incomprehensibly smooth rhythm, their skin smacking together hard, her ass bouncing with the movement. Clenching his sheets, she moaned his name, her knees starting to buckle as her soaking wet sex contracted to almost destroy her. Jerk…who said she wanted to come three times…? Koji rasped, his movements stopping as he quickly jerked out and came on her thighs. She crumbled flat on her stomach, everything in her body sticky, raw, and pleased. He also was trying to catch his breath, lying on his back and stroking himself. Could he…go again? … “Can…can you go…again?” He looked to her, his brow raising, “…I can go quite a few rounds, but--” “I think we…have a little more time before Jill and Cliff get back…” “But--” Popuri wanted it. She reached out, stroking his thick member, and glowered, “I want your dick.” “…Yep, I am definitely tripping right now.” She snickered, stroking him, running her finger around the head of his penis. He gazed at her with that…look she never quite understood. She pouted at him, jerking his length. “What?” “Nothing…” he murmured, “Just kind of wondering…” What? Wondering why she was so eager to jump into bed with him? She…she had to wonder too.

Yagami Jill smiled, entering the house with the bags of sushi they got. “Tadaima!” …Huh? Her smile turned into a frown of confusion, finding the whole downstairs empty. Popuri’s shoes were still there though. Maybe they’d gone upstairs? But…why? Cliff caught her before she could go investigate, smiling, “C’mon, let’s just eat and save them some. It has been a while since we’ve had a dinner with just us.” “Well, that’s true…” She settled down on the worn old sofa at Cliff’s request as he brought the trays and drinks. Smiling, she picked up a tuna roll with the chopsticks and fed it to Cliff. He seemed pleased as they just teasingly fed each other, snuggling up on the couch and watching a comedy show. After about an hour though, she found that Koji nor Popuri had emerged? Frowning, Jill lifted her head from her boyfriend’s shoulder, “…Maybe I should go check on them.” “Or…we can take this moment of privacy and get a little fun in” Cliff whispered, rubbing her leg. Giving him a look, she slowly looked toward the steps. It would take absolutely nothing for Koji just to suddenly appear and wipe Cliff out once and for all. Alas, as her…appetite progressed, she couldn’t help notice some…tendencies, like the thrill of getting caught made her kind of excited. Of course, if Koji should ever catch them one day, that ‘thrill’ would be short-lived. All the same, she unzipped Cliff’s pants, rubbing his length over his boxers. He leaned back as she pulled it out, stroking him before getting on her knees. Cliff pouted, “It probably would be more comfortable if you just leaned over, Jilly.” No, she felt a little more…dominant in this position. It was harder to look up at him just lying down. She drew his balls into her mouth, wrapping her tongue around one and dragging the flesh. Cliff trembled, staring down at her as she looked back. No, she wasn’t quite versed at sex as she could be but she figured out the importance of point of view. She wanted to look up at his face. He bit his lip as she tugged his foreskin down, licking around the head, around each little fold and crevice. She kissed and ran her tongue down his length before dipping down, sucking on what she could. Cliff exhaled, closing his eyes, his cheeks flushing. That was the ticket. Head generally wasn’t where their…acts ended. Cliff pulled her frantically to their bedroom and fingered her until she was wet enough for him to push inside of her. She moaned, pursing her lips to try to keep it down. While she hadn’t thought much of it at the time, when she really thought about what Koji said about ‘hearing them at three in the morning’, she got a little embarrassed. While she knew her brothers were manwhores, she caught not one of them in the act nor heard them once in her life. Yes, their mansion was ten times bigger but there were plenty of opportunities for her to get an eye or earful.
Cliff fell asleep when they were done, his arms wrapped around her waist gingerly. She was ready to join him but got up to put the food away. Peeking back out to see if maybe Koji had mysteriously appeared, she was confused to find still not one sign of him or Popuri. Had she left without her shoes…? …Odd. Odd, her ass. Yagami Jill leered incredulously at Yamachi Popuri, the latter smiling nervously as they both sat at the table in the little farmhouse. Odd, her ass.
Jill got up early this morning to start her chores as usual. Usually, Koji would make it out at some point to help her. Not one sign of him. Of course, when she came back inside, not even Cliff was up yet so maybe the men of her house were being lazy. Oh, but lo and behold, she looked up to find Popuri trying to sneak down the stairs, wearing one of Koji’s button down shirts over the same skirt or dress she had on yesterday. Jill had even still been confused then, calling her. Popuri looked horrified and it just hit Jill like a ton of bricks: they had sex. Koji was sneaking out to have sex with Popuri, his childhood fiancée. Koji came down not a few seconds later, completely nonplussed about why this was crazy and said he was going to make them pancakes. Ugh. “Popuri” Jill hissed, leaning so she could whisper at the woman, “T-That’s my brother! What were you thinking?” The pink-haired woman was just wide-eyed and smiling fearfully, “…Honestly, I don’t think I was? I-I mean, really, Jill, it wa-was just a one time thing. We were just fooling around.” Nothing about Popuri looked like it was just ‘fooling around’. Her lips were swollen, she had hickeys all over her neck, and she was just positively…glowing. Sex did not make you glow but she was glowing. Jill just shook her head as Koji came over with plates and was also glowing. This was crazy.
“Pancakes for my ladies” he replied, setting a tray before both of them. “T-Thank you, Koji” Popuri said shyly. Oh, but she wasn’t shy last night! Or…God, had Koji seduced her? Ugh! Jill gave Koji a look as he settled down at the table with his plate, picking up the brown pitcher of syrup, “So, what happened with you two last night?” “Well…what are you going to actually believe?” Koji droned, pouring the liquid.
“Nothing that suggests you two weren’t banging.” Popuri flustered and Koji naturally wasn’t slightly bothered. “We may have been a little…hands on last night. Is that a problem?” She opened her mouth to say it was. Koji knew better than to pull his shenanigans with people she considered friends! Of course, as was, Koji had known Popuri longer than she had but still! There were principles at play here! But…it was too late to intervene now. Groaning, Jill rubbed her face, “…Whatever. I mean, this was just a one off, right?” “Y-Yes!” Popuri blurted. Koji just blinked slowly like that was nothing he had agreed to prior to this conversation before rolling his eyes. He looked over his shoulder when a light melody seemed to be coming from upstairs. “Mm, be right back.” Watching him go up the steps, Jill raised a brow at Popuri. “…Seriously, what led to this? Did Koji put the moves on you?” “N-No, no! I-It was all a hundred percent consensual” Popuri insisted, waving her hands. “R-Really, it just sort of happened but your brother was nothing but a gentleman. And…and very…thorough…and giving…” Jill stared at her drolly as Popuri’s imagination apparently must’ve kicked in somewhere, the woman’s red eyes slowly looking toward the steps. “…And maybe he needed help upstairs. I’ll go check on him.” “Aht, sit” Jill commanded when Popuri jumped up. Sulky, Popuri sat back down and started to cut up her pancakes woefully. Jeez. “Where is Cliff?” Oh. Jill rolled her eyes around, scratching the side of her face, “…He may have to recover from last night too?” “Oh, so you and Cliff can bang around but I can’t bang around?” Popuri glowered. “Not with my brother!” “As said brother, I would like to respectfully decline.” Popuri jumped, shocked, while Jill shook her head at her brother as he sat back down, setting his flip phone next to him. “Our siblings are going to come visit on Friday.” Groaning, Jill buried her face in her hands. “All of them?” “Yep” he yawned, picking up his fork, “Guess we get to hear how Shaun has been goofing off and looking for the Sailor Senshi at school.” Popuri laughed as Jill groaned again. Yea, that sounded like Shaun… Koji sipped his coffee, looking to Popuri, “You’ll have to meet the rest of us, Popuri. They’re all characters.” “O-Oh, I-I don’t want to intervene on family time” Popuri flustered. “Nonsense, I’m sure they’d be glad to meet you.” Honestly, considering how often Koji used to bring her up when he was younger, they probably would like to finally meet the topic of his young and apparently present affection. Popuri blushed, eating the last bit of her pancake, “W-Well, I’m sure they’re lovely. Um, I should be going, I’m super late for chores.” Koji ‘mm’d’, standing, “I’ll walk you.” “O-Oh no, that’s okay.” He assured he had something he wanted to talk about, grabbing his coat from the hanger by the door. Popuri sighed, walking out beside him, and leaving Jill to look after them absently. She was done with her chores and done eating. And yet, her boyfriend had not stirred. Going to wash the dishes, she knelt to get the soap from underneath the sink. Pausing, Jill raised a brow at something shiny tucked far back in the corner. What? She reached to pull it forward, grabbing around the neck… …Wild Turkey. A big bottle of Wild Turkey. It was over half empty. Shivering, she stood and quietly washed the dishes. After about twenty minutes, Koji meandered back in. Not looking up, she whispered, “Nii-san?” “Hmm? Yea? Are you okay?” he instantly frowned, walking over to her. “…Do you drink Wild Turkey?” She’d actually already heard this question of whisky and bourbon brands posed to her brother before, about whether a Wild Turkey bottle that showed up at one of his parties was his. For whatever reason, his answer stuck in her head, maybe because it sounded like he was listing a bunch of band members, but like clockwork, he scoffed the same way he had then. “Brown, I drink Jack, Jim, Johnnie, Crown, and a little SoCo and Hennessey. If it’s not in that six, I don’t buy it for myself.” Jill nodded quietly. He raised a brow, “…Why do you ask?” “Nothing. I guess it’s Cliff’s.” Koji tilted his head before kissing her forehead, stroking her hair back, “…Want me to talk to him?” “No, no, I-I, uh…I should. I’m not used to people hiding their liquor. You guys sure didn’t” Jill laughed nervously. “Because there was nothing to hide” Koji said bluntly. …Oh. He glanced at his phone before sighing, “Jill, off that subject, I just want to let you know that whatever happened with Popuri last night, we’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.” Jill snorted, “Yea right. The second I leave you two alone again, it’s done. You’re infatuated, Koji, and you already know that.” He actually blushed this time, appearing disgruntled, “I-I didn’t want to get ‘infatuated’. It’s making things difficult and I’m not used to it.” She couldn’t help smile at that, wiping her hands of the suds as she let the water out of the sink. “I think it will work for you if you let it, nii-san. I have…concerns but I know since you didn’t intend for this that it’s a little different. I’ll tell Popuri I can…relax.” “Yea…just need her to as well” he said faintly.
Hmm? Koji waved a hand and advised he was going to start cleaning the floors since he didn’t make it out to help her with chores. Ever her diligent big bubby, she thought. All the male figures in her life were like that. And here she was, falling for a guy that apparently woke up after they made love to drink. …It wasn’t so bad, she reassured herself, sitting with a mug of hot cocoa Koji made for her prior to starting his self-assigned tasks. She reassured herself again when Cliff didn’t get completely up until two. …Odd.

“U-Um, Koji, about last night…” “Last night was everything.” Popuri flustered, pouting as Koji walked beside her to the Chicken Farm, blowing into his hands. He looked entirely sincere about this rather poignant statement. “I-I mean--” “I don’t want to make Jill uncomfortable. I just don’t want that to mean I don’t see you anymore though.” Eh? “W-Well, I doubt it’ll be quite that serious. Just maybe not…last night again.” He snorted and she groaned. Yea, if she were going to be a thousand percent honest with herself, if she was presented with the exact same opportunity and the same exact circumstances tomorrow, she’d jump on him the EXACT same way. “Popuri, I don’t know what it means entirely but I like spending time with you and I’m very attracted to you. I only want you to be comfortable though. If this makes you uncomfortable, we can be friendly, that’s it.” Hesitant, she paused at the gate, hugging herself. She struggled with commitment. Her last somewhat serious boyfriend advised she should leave Mineral Town and go to a place with more opportunity. With him. That…that was asking a lot. This was…also asking a lot. She…she didn’t want to have promises made to her again. …Just… “I don’t know if I can be ‘friendly’ in that way, Koji. I’m also attracted to you, of course, and I also like our time together. I…I just ask that we let whatever this is grow naturally. Let’s…let’s not put titles on it.” “Fair enough” he agreed, nodding, before looking toward her house. The curtain fell as he did so. Probably Rick, maybe her mother. Koji kissed her cheek, starting back up the road, “Let’s do dinner tomorrow night.” “O-Oh, that sounds nice.” He nodded and bid her farewell. She took a deep breath, walking into the house. No one was nearby so it was most likely Rick that was spying. Going upstairs, she checked on her mother, finding the woman still asleep, her nebulizer nearby. She changed into her work clothing and went out to collect the eggs from their hens, finding that Rick was still serious about not working until it was Spring… Nothing serious, Popuri. It’d probably go nowhere and just be fun while it lasted. That’s… That’s all she could count on.
On Friday, Popuri avoided the old farm like the plague. Meeting his family? Outside of Jill, that was just far too serious, especially for something flighty. She tugged at her long jacket as she headed back toward the Chicken Farm after picking up groceries, taking a breath that fogged the still cool air. Just, exactly how flighty was this expected to be? The night before last, Koji took her off the island. She expected them to have dinner at Doug’s or the old inn but he advised he had something better in mind. He took her for Italian. It was almost upscale but lowkey enough that what they were wearing wasn’t distasteful. He ordered the cannelloni and recommended the lasagna to her. She loved it. The went to the movies and saw Million Dollar Baby. She’d only been to the movies once in her life. Koji joked that he was going to have to get her caught up then. By the time the movie let out, it was late and the last ferry was about to leave. Koji said the morning ferry came at six so they should just stay up all night. What? While aghast at the idea, Koji took her to all his favorite clubs and bars, having a drink at one and dancing at the next. If she said it was something she adored, she’d be lying, but she also wouldn’t be honest if she said she didn’t have a lot of fun. Five in the morning came very quickly, surprisingly, and Koji took her for waffles before they jumped on the ferry. She was exhausted but when they got back to the island, he helped her collect the eggs and then reportedly went to help Jill with her chores before finally going to bed. Like…modern day Prince Charming? She didn’t know but that had always been the problem with Yagami Koji: he grew on her. Fast. Taking a deep breath, Popuri shook her head as she opened the door to the farmhouse. Stay the course, Popuri. Just fun. That…that was… When she entered, she froze. Yamachi Lillia was humming, arranging a big vase of…iris and hollyhock that was seated on their kitchen table. Koji. Gaping, she blurted, “U-Uh, tadaima!” Lillia looked up, blinking knowingly at her. Oh no. “Okaeri nasai, dear.” “U-Um, wh-what are those?” “Flowers. Someone just delivered them. Quite lovely and quite out of season so they must have cost quite a bit” she said faintly, adjusting one of the blooms. Setting the groceries on the table, Popuri smiled frantically and put away the bread. “A-Ah, maybe? Who sent them?” “Oh, I think you know.” Popuri couldn’t help groan, covering her face. Lillia seated herself, picking up a cup of tea, “Who is he? Someone I know?” “S-Sort of…you remember when I was younger and had that playmate?” Lillia tilted her head, “…Oh, the farmer’s grandson. Koji, I believe.” Eep. Her mother crossed her hands, looking at the flowers absently, “Well, he was a sweet young man back then. I wonder about him since that must be the reason you’re out all times of the night now.” Oh God. “H-He’s actually still very sweet, mama! I-I mean, he’s a little wily but, really, we-we’re not doing anything bad.” “See to it, dear” Lillia droned, “…Just be cautious what choices you make.” ….Yes. Popuri forced a smile and started to go over to the flowers, prepared to move them because Rick would be less understanding. “Well, let me take these to my room.” Lillia actually smirked, surprising her, “These are mine. Yours are over there.” …Eh? Popuri looked to where her mother pointed, her heart skipping a beat at the vase of red tulips sitting by the window. …Oh. Biting her lip, blushing, she went over and played with them idly for a moment after reading the note. ‘Thinking of you’. Lillia chuckled, coughing a bit into her hand, “Give him my thanks. I haven’t gotten flowers in years. Or, better yet, bring him by.” … “I…I might.” Lillia requested Popuri bring the flowers to her room when she went to rest, setting them by the bed. She brought her vase of tulips upstairs and set it by the window so they could get sun. Sitting on her bed, Popuri stared at them for a moment before taking a deep breath. Okay. Going back out, she steeled her nerves as she walked toward the farmhouse. It took everything in her not to turn back, especially when she was face to face with that door, but she resolved herself and knocked. Yagami Jill answered, blinking, “Oh, hey, Popuri.” “Hi, Jill.” Jill let her in casually and Popuri was about to have a heart attack. However, only Cliff was stretched across the couch, watching television, when she entered. Frowning, Popuri followed Jill into the kitchen where she was apparently preparing for a large meal, “U-Um, hey, your brothers aren’t here yet?” “Oh, no! Shin doesn’t get off from work until seven so they won’t be here until around eight or so” Jill explained. Oh. Jill was rolling onigiri, nodding, “I’m going to make enough for your mom and Rick too. You’re gonna come have dinner with us, right?” “Uh…maybe” Popuri smiled quickly, “We’ll see. Where’s Koji?” It was a very brief look, a gust of something tumultuous that melted back into casualness very quickly. Popuri was still a little caught off guard though. Was he doing something terrible? However, Jill smiled nervously, “Um, maybe don’t bother with him right now. He’s in a mood.” “In a mood?” Popuri echoed, confused. “Koji gets into these little spells where he’s…not himself. He’s very snippy and mean. Usually he locks himself in his room until he gets over it but he’s in one of those now.” But he sent them flowers? Popuri frowned, taking off her coat, “Well, I’ll just go say ‘hi’ then for a moment.” “…Okay.” Going up the stairs, she indeed found Koji’s door closed which was a little unusual. Swallowing, she knocked gingerly, “U-Um, Koji? It’s Popuri. Jill said you weren’t feeling well so I won’t bother you.” It was dead silent. She might have heard the hum of a television. Maybe he was asleep? Clearing her throat, she continued, a little…bothered by this. ‘Moods’? Like, mood swings? “I just wanted to thank you for what you did. You really made mama’s day, she…she doesn’t have things like that anymore, so she was really tickled. And-! And I love mine too, thank you.” Still quiet…actually, maybe he was asleep. Stupid, she groaned, shaking her head at herself. She’d come back later. Alas, she jumped when the door very slowly opened…and a black cloud essentially answered. Somewhat like that flash of undefinable emotion on Jill’s face, there was an entirely looming aura around Koji. He looked very out of it, his eyes creased and his body language just generally miserable. What was going on? “A-Ah, hi, I didn’t wake you, did I?” “…No.” “O-Oh.” He rubbed his face roughly, almost like he was trying to resurface or reset. “…Your mom liked them?” “A-Ah, yes, she was messing with them when I got back from the store and made me bring them to her bedroom so she can look at them. He smiled. Some. “Great.” Koji left the door open but it looked like everything drained out of him and went to crash face first into his bed. What? Popuri followed, honestly concerned, “Are you okay though? Do you want me to get you something?” “I’m fine” he muttered, muffled. Really? Lifting some of his face, Koji stared into the distance for a moment before shrugging a shoulder and turning on his back, wincing. “…Ever since I was a kid, I just have these weird shutdowns. I feel like I’m just dragging and have lost all will to do anything. I can usually get myself out of my funk pretty quickly but sometimes, like today, they just linger.” Oh. Popuri nodded, “I understand. I think everyone has days like that.” “…I wonder about that sometimes.” Hmm? She sat on the bed, shyly reaching out to pet his hair, “U-Um, well, I’ll go and hang out with Jill then.” Shaking his head some, Koji turned over to face her drearily. “…Can you stay for a second?” “Eh?” “Just for a second…” Hiding her blush, she nodded and was a little startled when he pretty much cuddled into her side, gazing at the television. Weird, Jill made it seem like he was in some violent mood. It looked like Koji just needed a hug. Eventually, he dozed off, his cheek rested against her shoulder and his arm slung across her waist. It was just lucky she had gotten comfortable, she snickered, relaxing more into his pillows. …Just casual, Popuri. You could go places with him, talk and hang out with him, have dinner, maybe even occasionally sleep with him, and meet siblings you’d meet anyway because they were attached to Jill. Yes, he sweetly bought you and your mother flowers and might want to cuddle with you when he was feeling down but casual. This didn’t have to be anything more than that.

…Odd. Yagami Jill sat beside Izumi Cliff on the couch, her legs rested across his lap as he rubbed them. They were watching television but she wasn’t a hundred percent focused. She had continued to get the food ready, speaking with her boyfriend, when she noticed that Popuri hadn’t returned. Koji had been in a dark mood when he helped her with the animals, quiet and not saying much of anything. He’d…been like that for a while, unfortunately. It wasn’t his fault though… Whatever the case, she expected Koji to have shooed Popuri away immediately. Going upstairs to check on them, she was startled to find Koji and Popuri cuddled up, fast asleep. Eh? But he was usually so grouchy… …Odd. Maybe…Koji had actually found the right person? Cliff jumped when there was a knock at the door. She smirked at him, standing. He’d been jumpy all day, waiting for her brothers to come with apparent dread. As was though? If Koji was putting up with Cliff even when she found him annoying sometimes, her other brothers better behave. Opening the door, however, she was not met by her siblings. Duke. Duke looked anxious, kneading his hands. “Is Cliff here?” “O-Oh, yes.” Her boyfriend stood, his brows raised, “Uh, sir? What’s going on?” “Cliff!” the man blurted, stepping in as Jill let him in from the cold, “Um, I-I have a bit of a predicament and you may be my last option.” Predicament? “Well, certainly. I hope I can help.” “We have a mass stock order to get to Hondo over the next week or two and I need someone there to receive it. Do you believe you can do it?” Oh. Cliff’s eyes widened, looking to her, “O-Oh, that’s--” Jill was used to this sort of thing, mostly because of her parents and their lifestyle of having to run off on emergencies or business trips all the time. She smiled supportively, rubbing his arm, “You should go if you like, Cliff. It sounds like Duke needs you.” “…All right. I can do it.” “Really?! F-Fantastic!” Duke gushed, shaking his hand, “You’re really shaping up to be a lifesaver, my boy!” Generally, Jill didn’t really hear a whole lot about what Cliff did at the winery. He said it was really slow, mostly just him moving bottles or treating the plants for their future growth. Duke and Manna handled production from their previous crop, he informed, and they sometimes would import grapes internationally. Otherwise, it seemed very laid back… Duke gave Cliff the coordinates and an aligning hotel to stay in to make it easier. Cliff pouted when the man left, huffing, “…I never expected to go on a business trip.” “It’ll be good! You can visit your sisters while you’re there” Jill insisted. “Well, that’s true…” he reluctantly conceded, “Do you want to come with me?” Shaking her head, she smiled and gave him a kiss, “Maybe for a couple of days but I need to be here for the farm. And, of course, my siblings.” She smirked when Cliff’s blue eyes brightened. Yea, just his luck, he would miss out on that visit. “Let me go pack!” “Uh huh” she snickered. He went to their bedroom, packing a small backpack and gave her a warm kiss. “I’ll call you when I get there, okay?” Nodding, she smiled as he kissed her jaw. She walked him to the door and watched him off… When it was like this, it was nice. It seemed normal, something more like a relationship. He did chores, he would cook her breakfast, and they’d watch television on the couch when he got back from work. It worked when it was like that. …She wondered though. How much would he drink in Hondo?

It's always funny for me when the characters switch back and forth from English, esp. the scene in Kim's studio. Bc there's no reason for him to hold that entire conversation in English??? And like. I wonder how much of it Chay understands, bc I don't think he ever uses it in the show, so is he just awkwardly standing in the corner going ??? Is Kim just trying to show off? (also that was the gayest "'Sup, bro?" in history, Kim what are you doing, this is not a locker room)
Kim: walks in on someone practicing, tells him he's going to use the room/asks if it's okay to kick the guy out, clearly unexpectedly. The "snacks" he supposedly got for Chay are very cute and trendy pastries and little cakes; there's something that looks a lot like a giftbox sitting next to them that could be coincidental... Music Room Guy was totally about to have a date, until Kim showed up.
Kim's face when Chay says he wants to study music because "it seems fun" is so fucking funny. That was such a "Wow, okay..."
Asking about the admission requirements, sir you are a literal student here. Tell me you bought your way in without telling me you bought your way in.
Kim is so blatant in this scene, I love the criminal mastermind interpretation but this man is dumb, it's so painful. And the fucking. Light Yagami voice over, it kills me.
The first thing Chay says about Porsche is that Porsche loves him a lot and that is so wholesome, I'm gonna cry. I would die for them I stg
Ep. 5 my beloved
I want to know what Kim was doing in the tower all day. He has to get there probably in the afternoon? But his scene with Tankhun takes place at night. Like, throughly in the dark. Which means Kim has to have been there for hours snooping around? I wonder what else he got up to.
Tankhun asking if he’s spying, Kim admitting it, Thankhun asking what he found, and side-eyeing/smiling the whole time? Adorable. Khun is such a fun character. I do feel like he’s meant to know more than he’s letting on. I wish he and Kim got more screen time together, because Kim’s so indulgent of his craziness instead of mocking him for it, and it’s really sweet. (And I wish we got ANY Kim/Kinn screen time 😭)
I’m probably reading to much into it but the way Kim looks at his phone/takes a deep breath before calling Chay? Could almost be considered hesitation? Like he’s asking himself “Am I really about to do this?” Or Yknow, he’s just getting into character. I’d love to know how he was even supposed to have gotten Chay’s number, though. Probably part of his snooping the last few hours. Also shout out to Kim for seeing the red children’s handprints and getting red flags instead of assuming it belonged to him or his brothers. Korn probably wasn’t the arts and crafts dad, and definitely not the kind of keep his children’s paintings decades later.

Like Father, Like Daughter
L Lawliet x daughter reader
Requested by: anonymous
Hi I love your fanfics and I was wondering if you could do a Death Note L with his daughter fic like where she is super smart and is with him while he is on the Kira case but L is super protective of her and also doesn’t want her to be around Light. Idk I just though it would be cute to see L with a little mini L😊💕
This is so cute! For the fact they are related to L, they will hold similar physical features to him, mainly just his hair though.
Please enjoy.
Confusion painted the faces of the Task Force the day they went into work to find the small, raven haired girl who patted about quietly. Chef Yagami was the first to step in, ready to ask the small girl if she was lost as no one else should have been able to get inside the building. Wide [Eye colour] orbs glowing with light looked back at him, soft and gentle, warm with an intelligence behind them that surpassed many children her age.
Before he could ask anything, she turned on her heel and headed up to the main room. Bright light filled, her little taps of footsteps mixing with the soft humming of the electricals around the room. Though the confusion and surprise of the Task Force grew even more when the small girl went over to Ryusaki’s side and he turned to her, a hand moving and petting her dark locks that were almost an identical shade to his own. Even her hairstyle was similar with longish locks that only made her eyes stand out more.
“Huh? Who is this kid?” Matsuda questioned to no one in particular, more of thinking aloud than anything. Even Light was intrigued about this odd small child. They all approached,
“Um...Ryusaki. Who is this?” Soichiro asked, referring to the girl. Ryusaki looked over, dark eyes showing the tiniest of sparks in them.
“This is [False Name], my daughter.” Those words shot through everyone on the Task Force like bullets. L, the World’s Greatest Detective, had a child? He was a father? Such a thing sounded almost preposterous given how he would have been so busy and having a family seemed dangerous for someone like him. And yet, here was a child who was almost the spitting image of her father.
“[False Name] is an intelligent child, and I know that by keeping her close, I can protect her.” Of course Ryusaki was not going to hand over her proper name if his suspicions of Light being Kira were true. There was nothing in this building that had her proper name, all of that information was at Wammy’s House in England. Safe as it should be.
[Name] looked up at her father as he spoke before turning to the reports on the table, eyes scanning over them before picking one up and going back over to him, snatching his attention away from the Task Force. “Look. These deaths line up with this company’s rivals. Maybe they are connected?” She showed, pointing to the names and the other companies that they had worked for.
“Well done, [False Name].” He spoke, handing the paper to Soichiro, “Please take these and run a check on them. See if there are any connections mentioned.” Soichiro nodded and took the reports, going off to do as instructed. Ryusaki turned back to [Name], smiling lightly before petting her hair again, an act of praise and comfort that she enjoyed. The others moved and got to work, with Light sitting close to Ryusaki.
Without a moment of hesitation, he moved, holding [Name] by the sides and lifting her with ease, setting her on the other side of him, away from Light.
“Light, this may sound silly. But I do not want you anywhere near my daughter.” There was this light tone in his voice, mirrored in his eyes as well. It was not a side-off comment, it was almost an order. He wanted his daughter away from Light and has already discussed this to her before they arrived. She knew to stay away from Light Yagami and be careful around him. That, though, was more of his protective parental instincts rather than his mind and logic.
[Name] ensured that she was helpful around the place, often bringing the Task Force members drinks and snacks to help them focus and relax, as well as helping on with her input and suggestions. Each time Light got close to her, she moved away and always ensured she was never alone with him. Even she had to admit there was something off about him.
Light took a seat close to her, offering a nice smile to her in a way to show he was not a threat to her. [Name] only looked at him and moved away, scurrying to her father’s side who tossed Light a side glare. Light held his hands up in a defensive manner but Ryusaki held his glare until Light turned away then smiled at his daughter.
“Good girl.”

In celebration of 100 followers I present to you
Wammy boys in oddly specific AUs I found on pinterest and stuff.
Warnings: Swearing (mostly in Mello’s part as usual lol)
L
"I mistook you for my best friend and jumped on your back in public and now I'm embarrassed"
🎂🍨🍦🍭🍮🎂🍨🍦🍭🍮🎂🍨🍦🍭🍮🎂🍨🍦🍭🍮🎂🍨🍦🍭🍮🎂
It was during the Kira case when L was closely investigating Light Yagami at To-Oh University that this extremely awkward encounter occurred. The sun was high in the sky, locusts and could be heard and cherry blossom littered the wide walkway leading into the school.
You had your heavy bag slung across your shoulders. It was filled with textbooks and papers (some of which you had forgotten to turn in) as well as a few personal items. You weren't really paying much attention to your surroundings until you spotted one of your male friends!
You hadn't seen him since the beginning of high-school. To say you were excited was an understatement. In your excitement you took a running jump onto his back knocking him to the ground. He let out a yelp and that was when you realized...
This man was NOT your friend.
"Oh my God I'm so sorry I thought you were someone else" you hurriedly said pushing yourself up and on your knees an apparent redness in your face.
He seemed to be unbothered for the most part, he turned to you, crouching in a sort of fetal position.
"It's alright I understand" He replied.
"No, no its not.. I'm an idiot I should have realized" you shoved your face into your hands covering how red your face now was.
"It is alright, I'm uninjured and it was an honest mistake" you frowned a little not entirely trusting his forgiveness, but this time, you took it.
He gave you a polite smile before standing up and helping you to your feet. He wished you a good day, and left, but not before sneaking a note containing his alias and phone number.
Mello
"I lost my little sibling Matt in Ikea and I need your help finding them"
🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
"Fuck.... Shit... Motherfucker" You heard from the other side of the store shelf as you browsed through various decor items. This mystery person had been spewing profanities for the past five minutes. You sighed with slight annoyance placing the wooden model hand you had been staring at for God knows how long back, making your way to the neighboring isle.
"Hey, you've been cursing up a storm... what's going on?" You asked, hand on your hip awaiting a response. Mello looked up at you with a look of anger and exhaustion on his face.
"I'm looking for my idiot friend. He got hopelessly lost in the chair section and I've been trying to find him for like an hour now" He ran a hand through his hair pushing his bangs to the sides of his face.
"I can help you look for him!" You offered.
"You don't have to"
"I want to! I don't really have anything else to do, so it's fine. To be completely honest I don't know why I came here." He shrugged. "Oh my name's Y/N by the way"
"I'm Mello" He replied before setting off out of the isle leaving you to sprint a but to catch up. His pace was fast and he seemed to have some plan on how to tackle this, but you weren't exactly sure.
After what seemed like an eternity of silently weaving through the labyrinth of shelves and furniture displays, you spoke up.
"So... how old is your friend?"
"We're both 19... His name is Matt." You kept walking until he stopped directly in front of the office showroom section.
"He might be here, so keep an eye out for a tall brunette idiot with goggles." You nodded keeping close to Mello. Again you snaked through isles. Eventually your search devolved into looking into cabinets, drawers, anything that would open, but to no avail.
"Where the fuck is he?" Mello said under his breath as he slammed shut another cabinet.
That was when a tall brunette wearing goggles walked by dual wielding hotdogs... You sighed heavily before approaching Matt.
"Matt?" You called out gaining the attention of both Matt and Mello. Mello stood beside you before going on to scold his friend almost as if he were an unruly child.
"Sorry about that I hope looking for him wasn't that unbearable... would you like to meet up sometime again in the future?" Mello asked. You nodded in response.
"I'd love to! This was quite fun actually. Though let's not go to an ikea next time."
Near
"We both like walking In the park at night and I think you're a stalker so I accidentally attack you"
🤖🎲🃏🪀🤖🎲🃏🪀🤖🎲🃏🪀🤖🎲🃏🪀🤖🎲🃏🪀🤖🎲🃏🪀🤖
It was 2am, the night was calm yet you were restless nothing you tried allowed you to fall asleep. It was like this most nights. You would then go to the park near your house to get some fresh air and tire yourself out... and on a night like this, that seemed like a perfect idea. You didn't even change out of your pajamas before you left. As you entered the park, you felt... odd. As if someone was watching you and sure enough, as you turned your head to look behind you you saw a man following about two yards behind you.
Naturally your thoughts went wild with what ifs and possible escape plans. Yet you calmed your mind opting to check if this guy was really following you. With every corner you turned your heart sank. Panic started to set in and you rushed to get together an improvised weapon.... Your housekey! You gripped it tightly in your hand as if it were a knife and swiftly approached the man going to jab him in the eye, yet he caught your arm with ease, turning it behind you and pushing you to the ground, similarly to how a police officer would apprehend a resistant assailant.
"Why did you attack me" he questioned, plopping down just above your hips.
"Let me go, stalker!!!" You yelled at him thrashing around attempting to escape his grasp.
"What are you talking about? I'm not stalking you." He calmly said.
"That's exactly what a stalker would say! Let me go!" He sighed lifting himself off of you and crouching beside you. You rolled over and sat with your legs crossed.
"I swear to you, I was only out for a walk. I take nighttime walks sometimes, though this was the first time I've been in this park."
"Then how come every time I turned you followed?"
"I did? I'm sorry, I didn't even realize" He stated plainly. You sighed he seemed truthful.
"Fine... I'm sorry too, I probably shouldn't have assumed you were a stalker or something and attacked you" you admitted. He shook his head.
"It's alright, I understand... I can be scary" you snorted and laughed. The light of the nearby streetlamp lit his features. A frail, sweet looking man with long white hair who seemed to be somewhat reserved. You felt a little silly that you thought someone like him would hurt you much.
"You're not scary... In all honesty you're quite cute!" You admitted, reaching out a finger to poke his nose.
"Thanks, you're actually quite cute as well, maybe we could meet up here in the morning?" He suggested.
Matt
"I come here when I want to be alone and I didn't think anyone knew about it so where the hell did you come from"
🎮🚬🥽🎮🚬🥽🎮🚬🥽🎮🚬🥽🎮🚬🥽🎮🚬🥽🎮🚬🥽🎮🚬🥽🎮
This day was aweful. Work was extremely stressful. Your coworker put important documents in the shreader for the 10th time that week and you were the one tasked with rewriting, tracking down, requesting new copies and piecing together ones that couldn't be recovered otherwise. And of course your boss made every minute of it a nightmare. So after work, you drove to your favorite place. An abandoned warehouse off the highway about 5 minutes from your house.
It was virtually untouched by people now that the walls were covered in graffiti and the place had been ransacked for leftover valuable items. You made your way inside noticing something was off... there was a leather couch that wasn't yours, a coffee table... even a TV and game console plugged into a power supply, another handheld game on the coffee table next to an ashtray with a few cigarette butts, one of which was still smoking.
You were beyond confused. From the last time you were here someone had basically moved in... it had only been a week since you last came here. You warily approached the couch. Well... whoever left it here probably won't mind! you thought I just hope they didn't sabotage it or something. You then sat down noting that it was a perfectly normal couch and you were just paranoid.
That was when a guy came in, he was tall and lenky, had brown hair and was dressed in a striped shirt, a frankly hideous vest with fur lining, black pants and goggles atop his head. He had been holding a can of coke and a cigarette, yet those were both dropped as he saw you.
"Who are you?" He half shrieked.
"Who are YOU? You yelled back.
"I asked first!"
"My name is Y/N.. I come here all the time when I'm stressed and want to be alone I didn't think anyone else knew about it"
"S..Same but.. I come here to get away from a friend of mine... he can be quite aggressive and it's scary" He sat down beside you picking up his handheld game. "Oh and my name is Matt!"
"Hmm.. then let's share this space from now on, Matt!" He nodded in agreement.
"Yea! I hope we meet again soon"
Beyond Birthday
"We live in the same apartment complex and I accidentally leave my laundry in the washer for a minute too long and you decide to take out all my wet clothes to put yours in just as I walk in"
🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪🩸🔪
It was late night. You had been putting off laundry for the past week, but now you were down to a pair of underwear and your nightgown, so you had to do your wash.. you reluctantly gathered your clothes and made your way to the communal washer and dryer. You threw your clothes in and put a coin in the coinslot then set the washer to start.
You sighed and made your way back to your room to relax a little while your clothes were still washing. It had been about two hours and your laundry was probably done. The timer you had set went off and you gathered yourself and brought the remainder of your clothes as well as your box of dryer sheets.
The moment you walked in your eyes widened in horror. Some odd man sat frantically pulling your clothes out of the washer onto the dirty floor.
"What the hell are you doing??!!" You yelled rushing over to stop him. He peered up at you from his crouching position.
"You left your clothes in too long, its my turn now" You blinked
"Only for a few minutes... it just got done less than 5 minutes ago.. now my clothes are all dirty again.. damn it"
"Sorry" He said. His beady eyes were wide and innocent looking. "I'll let you do yours again... I'll pay" He said before shoving yours back in and starting it again.
When that was done he pulled a jam jar out of seemingly nowhere and perched on top of the washer dipping his hand inside the jar and licking his fingers clean of jam. It was disgusting... But you decided to not pay any more attention to it than you had to.
The rest of the time you spent with him was in silence, all you heard was the washer and his lip-smacking. When the washer finished you silently transferred your clothes to the dryer.. this time without your oddball fellow tenant interfering much. Though when he got his own clothes in he did crawl away which freaked you out.

Digimon Adventure Drama CD 1 (Character Song + Mini Drama 1)
I almost forgot about drama CDs! Digimon has a whole bunch of them, it turns out. Looks like I get to cling onto the Adventure cast for a little bit longer. This CD is a combination of very short drama bits and character image songs, as the name suggests. It feels a bit on the short side but I guess that's because it's only part one ;)
Download link
SOS! Grade 5 Class A
Translation here
A very silly story about Taichi and Sora fighting a potato digimon (Jagamon) during home ec class. Very esoteric references to 1970s anime are made.
I liked that this was just Taichi and Sora. I know that was probably more of a budgeting thing, but one-on-one moments (even dumb ones like this) are important to me.
There's something icky about Taichi commanding Agumon to digivolve just for his amusement...poor little guy
Favorite part of this was all of the meta jokes about this being an audio drama. For example, when they introduce Jagamon the narrator's like "well...we can't show you what he looks like, but he looks like a potato just trust me bro"
I had to look up who Ikkyuu-san was. At least the one Japanese commenter on the YouTube video understood the reference lol.
Image Song 1 - Turn Courage Into Wings (Yagami Taichi)
Translation here
A somewhat generic, but very Taichi song. (When it comes down to it, Taichi is a pretty generic shounen guy). Of course it focuses on courage because that's Taichi's thing.
At first the "you" mentioned in song was supposed to be a romantic interest and then I realized he could be singing platonically to Agumon or Yamato. I like the Agumon option best, that's really cute.
Takeuchi Sora's Fluttering Yellow Card
This was less of a drama and more of a little radio DJ-like snippet featuring Sora and Piyomon. Sora's VA is apparently a DJ IRL so this was an in-joke.
Mimi asks Sora where her hat came from and she just say "I don't know!" lolwut. I'm not sure if this segment is supposed to be in character or in some sort of weird "behind-the-scenes" world where the characters are aware they're in an anime. Seems like the latter.
Image Song 2 - Tomorrow I'll Be...(Takeuchi Sora)
Translation here
Damn, Sora's song was pretty dark. It did have a tinge of hopefulness, but mostly it sounded like she was singing about depression/existentialism being temporary. Kind of like a "this too shall pass" song. :(
She sings about how she feels like she has no one to fight for and has lost sight of her dreams. This fits in with that one arc where she despaired over "love" being her crest because it didn't suit her. I think we all know that feeling of being lonely in a crowd, even a crowd of friends. This song helped me appreciate Sora's character a little more.
Joe's Singer Debut!? (Parts 1 & 2)
I like how these skits introduce the character image songs, that's a really cute idea. These characters aren't singers in-universe (except for Mimi), so I guess they wanted to give context for why they're singing haha.
Part 1 is Gomamon suggesting songs for Joe to sing and performing little samples. Very cute. (Of course, he can't really sing well lol, but that adds to the charm).
Part 2 is the studio rep explaining that the next drama CD will be about a love triangle between Mimi, Koushiro, and Hikari. That sounds like a terrible idea. No chemistry between either pair if you ask me...Maybe that's the joke though.
Image Song 3 - There's Another Me (Kido Jou)
Translation here
This song was all about Joe facing and overcoming his insecurities and fear of risks. He talks about how you'll never grow if you completely avoid pain of any kind. Honestly, a pretty inspirational song for kids out there. I can definitely relate to Joe's timidity. I'm always avoiding getting out of my comfort zone which has held me back in some ways.
