#I just started writing fic again because of DN so I feel like that may extend it

Hello, My-one-true-L! I've been a fan of your blog for a long time! Hope I'm not bothering you with my unnecessary message xD

I noticed myself lately that I have been emotionally cut off from the characters of a fandom, not just the DN fandom. For example, I read a fic or see fanarts, or watch some episodes and I don't have the same energy, the same passion I had been I entered the fandom. Now when I read a fic and I like it, I'm like: "ohh that's so cute!" and then forget it after a while. But, then I first entered the fandom I would think about it for days or even weeks. I'm trying to watch a different show so I can find that passion, but it just won't come out. I don't know, maybe I need to forget the whole fandom thing, since I am in my college years. I know I need to grow up but, I don't want to abandon writing fics because it automatically means I'm abandoning my fandom...

You are never a bother! 💜 I'm so glad you like my blog and have been here for a long time!

I think it's a common feeling...to lose excitement for characters/fandom/content that once brought you happiness. Over the past few months, I've been having a similar experience, and I must admit, it makes me sad to feel that way as well (but your letter made me feel less alone so thank you for that).

It's good to try to find new things to love, but you can't catch lightning in a bottle. Your passion for something new will come, it's just going to take some time to find the one that grabs you the way DN and other fandoms did and it will find you when you least expect it. Maybe in time you will remember what it feels like to be excited again for all the things that you once loved, and if you can't, you are not abandoning your writing or fandom...you just had a shift in your heart. The thing about that is the spark that made you love it can always start up again. You may just need a break.

Ok I really want to talk about the whole "grow up" thing because I know so many people that have gone through that. Let me share something with you and I hope you take it to heart...

There is no such thing as growing up. There isn't a magic age where you just stop loving the things that make you happy, nor is there an age where you need to force yourself to stop liking your interests and hobbies. Being an adult means less time to enjoy those things, but it certainly doesn't mean that you can't still be...well...you.

I'm an adult with all the things that come along with that, but that doesn't change that I still love anime, drawing, cosplay, and all the other things that always made me smile and so do most of my friends (though sadly they bring me less joy lately and I am not entirely sure why).

Remember that hobbies sometimes turn into something else...something more. Like...I'm a writer. My friend that is a crafter runs a successful shop. Another friend of mine has their own Reiki business. You never know what the future holds and I have found that the things you love add to your world, whether you turn it into a career or if it brings you to meet some wonderful people that you may never have gotten to call friend if not for it, or if it's just something that fills an empty night...These things make up a part of who you are...so please...whatever you do Dear Anon...

Don't grow up.

I started nine years ago. In 2012. For a very long time, I thought "DN Greek edition" was my first fanfic, but in the end it is another one I had written in the third grade. It was dedicated to a children's book called "The seagull and the cat who taught her how to fly" by the Chilean author Luis Sepúlveda.

It's an awesome book with messages about the importance of the environment, that animals have feelings too, that every dream can come true, and many many more...

So, yeah. I have kept the notebook I had written it. Because I don't want to forget those innocent and childhood memories. That's how this journey started 😉

25= «What scene in "For the eyes of a girl" took the longest to write? What was difficult about it?»

I can't decide because it's still a work in progress. But by far the most difficult and the longest scene I had to write was the one from chapter 8 for sure. Because although it was just a dream, I wanted the scene to be descriptive and explicit as most angsty fics are. This was like my first angst scene, so I wasn't really sure of the result.

In the end, I can tell that I like it! It's not explicit but I like it. I think the reader can feel L's feelings at that moment. Feeling unprotected, helpless, not being able to cry for help... And all because of this nightmare.

Yes, I once wanted to write an RPF fic about Kenichi. This never happened though 😅 And that's because I said to myself: «Should you do this? Is this ethical? Do you know that kind of person is he? If you don't know how are you supposed to write it? What if you end up thinking he is the real Kenichi? You may meet him and be dissapointed in the end»

And all of that overthinking XD It's a bad habit I need to cut off, but that's not the main topic.

In short, I didn't write it because I'd feel guilty about it. He's real, you know? It's not like a fic for fictional characters. We can be creative with them and write stuff, but it's not the same for real people. I still don't get those who write fanfiction for BTS.

Death note fandom is dying even long hair Near can't stop it, people just dont have interest anymore, and recently I was affected by my friends, l gradually lost interest in this famdom too. Just feel not so into death note anymore. Would you feel lonely if everyone you know leaving this old fandom?

This is such a good, somber ask, and I love it.

Honestly, I've been dealing with this since 2008-9. I came into the fandom after it's peak hype, when people were starting to move away towards things like Hetalia, and other prominent shows. I remember making really good friends who were writing fics... And then steadily I would just stop hearing from them, or seeing them around and I would have the thought, "Huh, I haven't seen much from _ lately." And go to find they were writing for something else. And that's fine! I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that!

I saw this happen with Akane. (I actually remember when Cursed Moons was around and when it got shut down from viruses)

I saw this happen with Hangdok.

Actually, I could go on and on the number of people who have gone, over the years...

People have been telling me that it's dying, or even that it is dead for years, even my closest friends.

But as far as I'm concerned, that's okay. I think that Death Note has a lineage. It's something that when people are young and getting into anime and ask "what should I watch" it's probably one of the top 10 that people suggest.

And what would happen if someone new got into it and found no one was left here to enjoy it with them? Personally, I don't want that to be the case. I want my blog to be a place where people feel they can still come and enjoy DN (and Meronia), talk about what they like or don't, talk headcanons, or whatever it might be.

And, on a more selfish side... I'm not finished with DN yet. I'm still mulling over how to make this pairing fit modern day conceptions/use of pairings... How to bring it out of old habits (like justifying why they're together) to instead just... Enjoy them as characters together, to write ridiculous fics just because we can and enjoy it. So, on my end, I still have things I want to contribute.

Like I said earlier: Everyone is stuck with me until I die. People may come and go, but I'll still be here for whoever wants to come enjoy this hellish show lol.

But that's just me.

Edit: shit, did I even answer the question? I'm so sorry, I went off on a huge tangent........

Edit #2: If I wait long enough then maybe they'll give us an OVA or some kind of remake/remastered and then people will be into it again and then the fandom will come full circle! If I don't keep waiting, I'll never know!

This season’s name…sounds counterintuitive, to say the least.

I love how Genos is carrying a box of hijiki (which looks like hair) and Saitama’s wearing a shirt that says “hair” (in kanji) all over it. It’s funny for a bald man and his “work of modern art”.

I never knew Genos was so blunt. Maybe because the last season was a good 2 – 3 years ago…and was by Madhouse and Shingo Natsume, and so this feels slightly different.

Oh, Sonic…! I didn’t realise how much I missed you! (Not to mention, you look hot with the off-the-shoulder shirt, y’know?)

It’s Takamatsu being Takamatsu again. Also… I forgot to mention this earlier, but…Taiga Umatani seems to be related to Kurari Umatani (who is credited for Boueibu), so…I wonder if it’s a collective writer’s name for Studio Comet, like Izumi Todo for Toei? The only thing that goes against that is the fact “Kurari” existed during the Diomedea days of Boueibu. Also Isekandar seems to be related to Yamato’s Iscandar (which Takamatsu seems to like, based on the fact he once used Matsumoto metres as a shorthand for being in space). If you don’t understand, Yamato’s endgoal contains a place called Iscandar and that’s by Leiji Matsumoto.

Okayyyyy…what are these rabbit creatures…? But yes, it does smack of Boueibu simply because the episode layout’s the same.

Hmm…? So Robby seems be En (the do-nothing life) in spirit, but Kinshiro in background, but also he runs away from his fortune. “Hmm” indeed.

Hmm…they actually bother to show girls now…apparently Takamatsu went to a boys-only school, which is why his original works focus on dudes (as in, you can pick out when Takamatsu is adapting someone else’s work because it has a heavier focus on girls as supporting characters).

Mechs and spaceships are probably two of the only ways I accept CGI…and you, Takamatsu sir, have just done it (the latter)!

I just really like how Tanjiro’s eyes grew larger with what was clearly resolution before he closed the door.

I’v read the wiki page for Chuuya enough to know the next few eps involve the LN Fifteen, so even though I haven’t read a translation of the source material, I know some of the ins and outs of it already.

I have a fic that predates Fifteen and could be set in the same period (the fic’s vague enough that it could’ve been them at 15, 18 or even 12)…and basically the only thing I got wrong was the fact Chuuya doesn’t have his hat (because I wrote Chuuya as having his hat in the fic). Also, the banter is tenser than I imagined it, but that’s subjective and something only I, the fic writer, can compare.

I wonder who the yellow-tinted Ability holder is…? Update: That’s Randou. Spoke too soon.

Well, with only one suspect (or 3, if you count the Sheep kids), it was quite easy to figure out one of them was behind it. I kind of suspected Randou, anyway, considering what I’ve learnt from all the mysteries I’ve read.

Because I was watching this episode with the volume down low (so I could hear the OP and ED), the volume really did work wonders for the plot this ep…!

This is the final debut of the season, so basically how this and Shield Hero perform will decide what will stay and what will go. Oh, yeah…apparently this is the companion to a movie, but the movie and TV series have slightly different content.

“…Meow God!” – It’s a pun on “Oh, My God!” but with a “meow” in it. It’s pretty forced, but it does get the nuance of the joke across…
