Johnny Lawrence x Reader
Matter - Chapter Six Tags: Angst, Gender-Neutral, Alcohol/Drug Abuse, Depression You kept driving. The constant sensation of moving, of going somewhere was the only thing that was holding you together. You needed to go, you had to get away. Your foot pressed down harder on the accelerator, your hands were wrapped tight around the steering wheel. The scenery was flying by faster and faster. The only thing you could concentrate on was the highway, everything else just fell away like it never mattered in the first place. It stripped you bare, washed you clean. You couldn't remember the last time the anxiety had been silent. You drove faster, chasing the feeling, hunting it down, it was the only thing that mattered. Nothing else-
Shit, a sedan was pulling out in front of you. Slamming on the brakes, the seatbelt dug hard into your body as it held you from going into the wheel. The sedan ahead kept getting closer, your eyes widened at the imminent collision. Somehow you managed to slow down in time, the sedan was steadily pulling away from your car. Your heart was thumping so hard it hurt. Adrenaline dissipated outwards from your chest and it made your hands shake. Turning off at the next exit, you parked up at a gas station and turned off the engine. That was close, that was too fucking close. How fast were you even going? You didn't look to see, you didn't care. All you were focused on was maintaining that sensation of freedom and nothingness where the anxieties didn't exist anymore. But that was a momentary blip, they'd already come rushing back as you considered what would have happened if you reacted a second slower, half a second slower. When you'd calmed down, you filled up the tank while you were at the gas station and realised you didn't have a clue where you were. It was hours ago since you'd left the city with no thought of where you were headed. It was already getting dark. After looking up the directions back to the apartment, you got back on the road. Inevitably, you began to picture that pack of beer in the refrigerator again. Why hadn't you thought about him drinking? It wasn't like you'd only been seeing Johnny for a few weeks, you'd been going to the dojo for months. In all that time, you hadn't considered it? If you were honest with yourself, you felt betrayed by him. But he had never lied to you, he never said that he'd stopped drinking. You just didn't think about it. You had blocked it out of your mind, content with your self-imposed ignorance. So what were you so upset about? Johnny was drinking in front of those kids, wasn't that reason enough to be angry? No matter how hard you tried, you couldn't picture him getting drunk in the dojo. Those beers were getting him through the day, a whole pack wasn't going to get him drunk, he'd practically still be sober. You were so conflicted. You knew you were wrong, but it didn't stop how you were feeling. You felt dejected and angry and hurt. There was no one to blame, nowhere to put the emotions so they had to be buried away. You were in half a mind to go to a liquor store, buy a bottle of that cheap whiskey Johnny liked and get fucking wasted. Instead when you finally made it back to the apartment, you got high. Though it didn't help much, you'd take any kind of relief you could get. You didn't know what to think anymore. It'd be easier if you didn't have to think at all. - - - When Johnny called, you didn't pick up at first. You just let it ring and ring until it finally went to voicemail, unable to scrounge up enough courage to actually talk to him. You needed more time to get your head straight. It still wasn't sinking in that he hadn't done anything wrong. Even though he was still drinking, he wasn't like before when you were together. He was healthier, he was more himself. No matter how many times you reminded yourself of the truth, it didn't ease the rising dread and the constant thoughts of the Firebird wrapped around a tree, him going on another bender, him ending up passed out in some alleyway, him lying face first on the ground, wheezing, choking, dying. An hour later he called again. This time you answered, needing to hear his voice. He asked if you could come to the dojo tomorrow and you agreed, like always. Parking up next to his Firebird the next day, you hesitated getting out of your car. A small part of you wanted to bolt. Maybe distance would somehow lessen the pain, maybe if you never saw Johnny again you could imagine that he was perfectly fine, forever healthy and untroubled. You pushed the anxious thoughts aside and headed into the dojo. There were a few kids already there. Hawk, Aisha and Miguel were chatting in the corner, too engrossed in their conversation to notice you coming in. As you went into the office, you almost collided into Johnny and reared backwards to avoid him. He immediately reached out and held onto your shoulders, carefully steadying you before you could stumble. “You okay?” He murmured softly, his bright eyes entirely focused on you. “Yeah, yeah. Sorry,” you replied, unable to hold to gaze. Turning your shoulders slightly, he seemed to take the hint and let you go. He didn't. . .he didn't smell like booze. Maybe he was being polite and he'd wait until you left before he started drinking. You moved passed him and settled down at the desk, quickly picking up some pieces of paper to start working. Johnny was still hovering by the door, his presence was almost oppressive. You were hyperaware of him in your peripheral vision, you could still feel his hands on your shoulders. Thankfully he went into the dojo and you could breathe a little easier. This was so pathetic. The things you had made yourself believe, the things you convinced yourself of in order to try and ease the pain. It wasn't just being naïve, thinking that he'd stopped drinking, it wasn't even willed ignorance, it was worse than that. You had deluded yourself, you had created an impossible narrative and you hadn't even noticed until it stared at you right in the face. Johnny was never going to stop drinking. He didn't stop for Robby, he didn't stop for you, and he certainly wasn't going to do it for himself. Anguish bled into your heart at the realisation. You looked over to the dojo through the window, seeing Johnny talk to a few of the kids. There was nothing you could do, there was never anything you could do. That sense of helplessness you hadn't felt for months was back. You couldn't even help the one person that you loved more than anything in this world. You were worthless. - - - The next time he called, you didn't answer. Not the second or the third time either. You couldn't bring yourself to go back there and see him again. Your head was all over the place. You felt deeply agitated but calm at the same time. There would be times when your mind would blank, and then it would be a mess of racing, spiralling thoughts. Whenever you got home from work, you didn't know what to do with yourself anymore. You considered listening to some music or watching a movie, but you didn't have the energy to decide. It was too much effort. A strange weight had settled deep inside your chest. Sometimes it would flare up, almost like the echoes of adrenaline. You didn't know whether it was agony or rage, neither conceded to the other so it felt as if you were in the eye of a storm, waiting for the moment when everything would come undone. You parked up outside the apartment after another long, shitty day at work, trying not to think about the fact you needed to get some groceries. The refrigerator was almost empty, the cupboards were largely comprised of condiments and spices. There might be can of soup hiding somewhere. You walked to the entrance of the apartment building, thinking that the soup would have to suffice for dinner even though you wanted a proper meal. A few days ago you got food poisoning from something, you hadn't worked out what it was in the end. Tomorrow you would go to the grocery store. Or maybe the day after that would be better- “Hey.” The sound of Johnny's voice made you look up in surprise. He was standing near the main door with his hands in his jean pockets. “What are you doing here?” “I was driving through, thought I'd stop by and see how you're doing.” You let out a sigh, rather irked by the fact he'd turned up in person. It was easy to ignore a call, but you couldn't ignore him standing right in front of you. His eyes were watching you carefully, expectant of anything but a dismissal. “Let's go up,” you told him, pulling out your keys and opening up the main door. He followed behind you silently as you took the stairs, Johnny's presence was making you nervous, you almost tripped up on the last flight of stairs. The sound of an argument from one of the neighbours permeated through the corridor as you went to your apartment. You fumbled impatiently with the botched lock, completely forgetting the normal routine of opening it up. Taking in a breath, you focused on doing it slowly and managed to get it open after a few seconds. “Want me to take a look at that?” He offered as both of you went inside. “It's fine,” you replied, gesturing to the sofa. After kicking off his shoes, he sat down with his elbows on his knees. There was that same sour expression on his face from the last time he was here. You tried not to take it personally, he was just thinking about his mom. Rather than sitting next to him as the sofa was a little small, you perched on the armrest, waiting for him to say something. “I tried to call a few times,” he told you, obviously waiting for an explanation. “I haven't had time to come to the dojo.” “How about next week? Is Thursday okay?” “Do you have a lot of paperwork then?” “Uhh. . .yeah I guess.” “I'll let you know,” you replied, taking to your feet. “Was there anything else?” Johnny's jaw twitched as he looked away from you for a brief moment. “I wanted to know how you're doing.” “Fine,” you immediately responded. “Just tired.” He kept watching you, wanting more than a three word response. “How are you and the kids?” “I'm okay, kids are doing great too.” You nodded slowly, pressing your lips together. After a few moments of silence Johnny asked you how things were at work. “Busy.” He looked down to his hands, he seemed uncomfortable that you were being so unresponsive. “I saw Robby yesterday,” he mentioned, trying to keep the conversation going. “How's he doing?” “Pretty good. He was in a bit of trouble at school but he's keeping out of it for now. We go to a burger joint each week and I drive him to school sometimes.” “That's good. He needs you, Johnny.” “He asked about seeing you. I haven't told him that we're not uh. . .” “Why not?” “I didn't want to give him another reason to be disappointed in me,” he murmured. “He's got enough already.” The hurt in his eyes made your heart twinge in discomfort. Both of you broke eye contact, unable to hold each other's gaze. “I think he'd be more disappointed that you lied to him,” you replied quietly. He stared at you again. Your chest hurt even more so you turned away and headed towards the front door. You said that you'd let him know whether you could make it next week. Johnny finally took the hint that you wanted him to leave and got off the sofa. After he put on his shoes, he stood in front of you for a few moments, his hands were almost balled into fists, his fingertips grazing the pad of his thumb. “Are you sure you don't want me to take a look at the door?” “I said it's fine.” You opened up the front door for him and he moved past you. He turned as if to say something else so you cut him off before he had the chance. “Talk to me first before turning up here again, alright?” Your tone was harsher than intended. His eyes flicked down to the floor, he nodded in response and then walked off down the corridor. You watched him walk away, trying to ignore how wrong it felt to watch him leave, just like you wanted. - - - It took less than five minutes for you to regret how you had spoken to Johnny. You shouldn't have been so rude to him. You were just so exhausted, and for him to catch you unawares like that, like he always managed to, made you shut down. The only thing that seemed to make sense was to put some distance between you and him, to give you a moment to process what was happening. Almost a week has passed and the agitated state you'd been in had finally started to settle out into something more predictable. Extra shifts and overtime kept your mind occupied. It was almost like you were functioning on autopilot, going to work, driving back, eating some food, getting high, sleeping, you did a lot of that now. Before you had barely been able to sleep, but now you'd go ten hours straight and it still wouldn't be enough. You didn't think about those beers in the refrigerator as much. Every now and then the anxiety would bleed into you uncontrollably as you wondered where Johnny was, whether he was okay, how much had he been drinking, had he got into a fight. Was he safe? He had the dojo now, he had the kids, he had Robby back. It would be enough for him to keep it together, he wouldn't get as bad as before, it had to be enough. When he was in your apartment, you'd said that you were going to call to let him know whether you could make it to the dojo on Thursday. It was only the night before that you finally managed to coax yourself to give him a call and tell him you'd be able to make it. The next day you found yourself driving to the dojo, smoking a joint to try and relax a little. With the windows down and the music blaring, you ran over the apology you were going to tell Johnny. You hadn't meant to be so dismissive and kick him out of the apartment after he'd barely been in it. You were still pretty fucked in the head, maybe seeing him every now and again would calm you down, maybe you wouldn't worry as much, maybe you wouldn't be so scared. After parking up next to the Firebird and heading inside, you asked Johnny whether you could talk to him for a minute. “Everything okay?” He asked when both of you were in the office. You stood in front of the desk, keeping your arms from crossing over your chest. “I wanted to apologise for being rude to you last week. I was just so tired and. . .” you trailed off, the words you had prepared earlier didn't seem right. How were you meant to explain yourself? How could you tell him that- “It's okay. I shouldn't have turned up without checking with you first,” he replied solemnly. That wasn't what you'd been trying to say, was it? “Sensei!” Miguel said as he came in to the office. “Aisha can't make it today, she's got a family thing she can't get out it. . .sorry am I interrupting something?” He must have noticed the tension between you and Johnny. Forcing a smile on your face, you shook your head and sat down behind the desk. “It's fine, Diaz. Text down what we've been doing today and let her know.” “Oh I'll just FaceTime her later.” “Face what?” “It's a video call, Sensei.” “Right, sure.” Miguel failed to hold back a grin as he left the office. Johnny turned his attention back to you. For a moment you thought he was going to say something, but he simply nodded at you and went into the dojo. Over the next few minutes, you watched as he chatted to his students before gathering them all together on the mat and starting the class. His words kept playing over in your mind over and over. Was he never going to turn up at your apartment again? Why did the thought fill you with so much dread? - - - Maybe monthly visits to the dojo would be the best compromise. It was frequent enough to keep on top of the paperwork but infrequent enough to give you time away from Johnny. It would be better if you started to drift away from him. Aside from helping him out in the office, there wasn't anything good you brought into his life. You hadn't helped him before when he needed it the most. All you did was watch him get worse and worse until you couldn't do it anymore. Why hadn't you helped him? Were you really that useless? Why had you walked away? Were you really that much of a coward? It was shameful what you had done, unforgivable. You'd left him. You'd left him all alone. What if he did that to you? You'd never recover, you'd never be the same again. When Johnny called, you didn't answer. The week after you'd been to the dojo, he called a few times, the week after that maybe once or twice. Even though you'd told him not to, you held out hope every time you went to and from work that you'd see him waiting outside your apartment. But he never turned up again. It had been a tiring morning. Work had been torturously long and you were only halfway through your shift. You were on lunch break, sitting in your car smoking a joint. It was the only thing that took the edge off anymore. Your phone buzzed and you were taken back by a text message from Johnny. He never texted. You checked the number a couple of times, making sure it was him. The content of the message should have been evident enough. >> can u come to dojo tonite at 8? He had never texted before, he didn't know how to. Immediately you called him back, but it went to voicemail after a couple rings. A few minutes later you received another text. >> have class cant talk. really need to see u. its urgent Your eyebrows furrowed. It was urgent? Was something wrong? Was he okay? You texted him back, telling him you'd meet him at eight, asking if he needed you to come sooner. He sent back a reply saying eight o'clock was fine. Unable to hold back your curiosity, you shot off another message, asking how he knew how to text. >> Diaz teachin me He didn't text anything else back for the rest of the day. The rest of your shift passed by in an anxious blur as you worried about whether he was okay. Something must have been going on. Had something happened to Robby? If it was really bad, he wouldn't have waited until the evening, would he? You parked up at the dojo a couple minutes before eight o'clock, trying to ignore the growing nerves. Heading in through the door, only the office was lit with the main lights turned off. Passing round the mat, you heard Johnny's voice. “For the last time Diaz, I'm not buying you those nunchucks, they're-” Johnny stopped talking the moment you walked into the office. He was sitting with his feet on the desk, beer in hand, a magazine on his legs which he must have been flipping through. There were a couple of empty beer cans on the desk, one had already fallen to the floor. You suddenly felt nauseous and had to force yourself not to turn away from him. “What are you doing here?” He questioned as he took his feet off the desk and dropped the magazine down onto it. “It's eight o'clock,” you reminded him quietly, eyes fixating on the beer he was holding. How many had he had already? “So?” He spat back. “You said you wanted me to meet you here at eight.” “No I didn't.” “It was a couple of hours ago, Johnny. You texted me.” “Since when do I text?” “Since Miguel started to teach you?” He looked at you puzzled for a few moments before his expression filled with recognition. He let out a deep sigh. “That kid. . .” he mumbled in irritation. You suddenly realised that it was Miguel who had texted you. Shit. . .why didn't you realise? Johnny always called him Miguel whenever he spoke to you, not Diaz. You should have known. He'd never texted you before, and then after he rejected your call, he didn't call you back. He always called you back. You felt stupid, embarrassed. “Well. . .I didn't mean to interrupt you. You seem to have plans so. . .” You tried not to think about how many more beers he'd get through tonight. About to turn away from him, he quickly stood up and put the can down on the desk. “What's going on with you?” “What do you mean?” “What's going on? I haven't seen you in nearly three weeks.” “I've been busy.” “Doing what?” “Work's been crazy, I haven't found the time.” “Haven't found the time, that's a good one. I should remember that.” “What?” “I'm just making a note of your bullshit,” he told you as he began to approach you. “Are you trying to pick a fight with me?” “No, I don't want to fight,” he replied softly, stopping a few feet in front of you. The smell of alcohol was even stronger now. “I want you to tell me what's going on. Something's not right with you, what is it?” “I say no when you ask me for a favour and that automatically means there's something wrong with me?” “I thought you liked it here. The kids think you're great, they keep asking me when you're coming back and I don't know what to tell them. It's better when you're here.” “Gotta have someone to do your busy work, right?” “Don't do that. Don't put words in my mouth. I don't give a shit about the paperwork. I like having you around, alright?” Your eyes dropped to the ground, you didn't know what to say, you didn't know what to think. "Look I know work's crazy but. . .can't you come here once a week? Just for an hour or two." You slowly started to shake your head, every week was just too much. "Okay, what about once every two weeks, starting tomorrow?" You pressed your lips together, hesitant to agree even though it was better than every single week. "Please?" You looked up at him then, at his bright, hopeful eyes and you were nodding before you even realised. He walked you out of the dojo and to your car not long after that. You supposed you would be back here tomorrow. - - - The kids greeted you warmly the next day when you walked into the dojo. Miguel, Aisha and Hawk followed you into the office, but it was only Aisha and Hawk who were chatting excitedly about the mock tournament that Johnny was going to plan, discussing who was going to fight each other, what new moves they could incorporate in the fights, who was most likely to win. Miguel remained quiet and avoided your gaze, Johnny had probably chewed him out for the stunt he pulled on you last night. He might have been trying to do the right thing and help his Sensei, but he had no right to lie like that. It wasn't fair. Johnny greeted you without any awkwardness or tension and rounded up the kids to begin the class. It was. . .kind of nice being back in the dojo, listening to the rhythmic sound of the kids doing their movements, to Johnny as he walked along beside them, effortlessly explaining how they could improve and complimenting the students which had cracked it or had shown improvement. After the class, Miguel came into the office with his backpack and apologised genuinely for what he did. You nodded in response and accepted his apology before asking him why he wasn't staying. "Sensei says I have to do some endurance training today." "Endurance training?" "Yeah, it's a lot of running and stuff. Fifteen miles to start and then-" "To start?" You reply incredulously before mumbling under your breath where's Johnny. Taking to your feet, you looked out to the dojo to find him talking to Bert. Miguel might have done wrong, but he didn't deserve to be punished like this. "Oh it's fine, I do it anyways. Just not usually on the night I'm supposed to be going out with my friends," he reassured you. Your eyes flicked between Miguel and Johnny, uncertain whether it really was okay. "I know I shouldn't have lied so. . .really it's fine." "Alright," you told him. After Miguel left the office and more of the kids headed out of the dojo, Johnny came in to see you. "Diaz apologise?" He asked, coming around to your side of the desk and perching on the edge of it. "Yeah, he did.” “He's a good kid really.” “I know.” He nodded slowly, his eyes avoiding your gaze like he was preparing himself to tell you something. “I uh. . . I told Robby about us. About a lot of things actually.” “Yeah?” “About Sid, and Cobra Kai and all the shit I did in high school.” He paused for a few moments, taking a deep breath. “I told him about my mom too and. . .how she passed.” Johnny had told you what happened to her a long time ago. He talked about the months he'd spent visiting her in hospital before she died, how day after day she got worse and worse until she wasn't really there at all. Her death hit him hard, she was all he had. “I think I said too much. He hasn't answered my calls in a couple days.” “He probably needs some time to process,” you replied. “That kid's always got a lot to process huh?” “You still taking him to school?” “He'd already left when I got there yesterday.” “Beat him to it next time.” “What. . .I should camp outside the front door at sunrise?” “You gotta show someone you love them right?” “Yeah. . .” Johnny mumbled back, focus drifting away from you as he became preoccupied with his thoughts. - - - The angst fest is back in town! Been a while huh? I'd hoped to get this finished months ago but season 3 of Cobra Kai really just put me off Johnny's character and I had a total loss of inspiration. I do plan on completing this story and hope you'll enjoy this next installment. Your comments are much appreciated as always. *Thomas Jefferson x Reader
*Summary: Reader is very into one of her housemates. After a couple house parties, she finds out he’s very into her.
*Warnings: Swearing, drinking, (mentions of) weed smoking, jealousy, insecurity, smut, grinding, hickies, tiddy sucking, fingering, vaginal sex, (my attempt at) dirty talk, a lot of consent check-ins, morning after awkwardness
*A/N: I’VE FINALLY BEEN DRIVEN TO WRITE SMUT. Like, this was hard for me but I had fun writing it (this fic is 8k words oops). Also sorry if it’s not the best, I really did try.
My Ko-Fi
**********
You had two major rules for living with people: never sleep with them, and definitely never develop feelings for them. In your two years of living in the dorms you’d managed to abide by those rules, but you faced the biggest challenge to your rule the second you stopped living in the dorms. In your third year, you moved into a housing option that was a lot cheaper than the dorms or a regular apartment. The house you moved into was pretty small - only 12 people - so everyone saw a lot of each other. Cue the start of your troubles.
When you first had a video call with the other members of your house, your eyes immediately were drawn to one corner of the screen. Sure, you’d joined in the middle of a conversation so his box was highlighted, but you were sure you would have been watching his little screen anyways. You could tell he was sitting in bed - wherever he was - and he was already familiar with a few of the people in the call from the way he was chatting with them. He had a neatly trimmed beard, curls forming a halo around his face, a bright smile, and a pair of black glasses just pulling the look together, even if you didn’t really know what look that was.
When he gave his little introduction piece, you knew this would be trouble. Not only was his voice attractive, he also had a bit of a southern accent, which just doubled his attractiveness. Everyone went through their introductions, you being one of the last people because you didn’t volunteer until a lot later on. When people had the chance to ask questions, the guy - Thomas - decided to speak up. “Is that a (favorite show) poster behind you?”
You looked back at your wall like you didn’t know exactly what he was talking about. You were just surprised he pointed it out. “Oh, uh, yeah! It is!”
“Nice!” Thomas told you, giving you a bright smile. You could feel your breath catch at the sight, but you managed to smile back. As the call ended with one other person giving their introduction, you could already tell you were in trouble. You knew you couldn’t pursue anything with Thomas even if it happened that he also found you attractive. It wasn’t only that you’d be living with him, no; he was also one of the house managers, so if things ended bad, he could really make your living situation not the best. But still, there was nothing stopping you from finding him attractive.
When you moved in, you immediately ran into Thomas. You knew you were supposed to check in with Angelica so she could get you your keys, but she was helping someone else at the moment. “Hey, you’re (y/n), right?” Thomas asked, sitting at the dining room table as you just stood there waiting for Angelica.
“Y-yeah, I am,” you stuttered, silently cursing how nervous you were around him. This was your first time meeting the guy in person, and you were really going to make a fool of yourself, weren’t you. You looked back to where Angelica had disappeared upstairs, wondering just how long she would take.
“Well, I’m Thomas,” he introduced himself, standing from his seat. “I can take you on a tour of the house while you wait for Angelica if you want.”
“Uhm, sure, that’d be great!” You immediately accepted, feeling your face warm from the entire interaction. Thomas walked up next to you, nodding for you to follow him. Your parents were waiting outside for you to get your keys so they could help you move in, but since you had some time, why not?
**********
It didn’t take long for everyone to start feeling comfortable around each other. The only real issues there were in the house were arguments Thomas and Alexander would get into, but even those wouldn’t get too bad. Within a month of everyone moving in, it really started to feel like a little family. Which made your attraction to Thomas that much worse. You thought it would go away once you got to know the guy and it would fade into a friendship, but you were dead wrong. The more you got to know the guy, the harder you fell. The way he joked, the way he made sure you weren’t talked over (and if you were, he always made sure to come back to you and ask what you were going to say), almost everything about him made you realize it wasn’t just surface level attraction.
By the end of the first month, a few of your housemates - John, Alexander, and Laf - planned a little party in the living room. It was just for your house, but it really sounded like they were planning to throw a rager. You weren’t really one for parties, but it sounded like it could be fun. The fact that Thomas said he would be going had nothing to do with it.
When the day of the party came, you didn’t really know what you were going to do. You knew Thomas was going to be there, and Peggy really wanted to go, so after spending the afternoon deciding, you started getting ready for the party. You showered, pulled on a dress you saved for going out (not that you really went out in the first place), put your makeup on, and just sat there waiting for Peggy to get ready.
“This is gonna be so much fun! I saw Alex and John come in with the drinks for later and they bought so much,” Peggy gushed as she tried deciding between dresses. She finally turned to you. “Which one looks better?”
“Depends on the look you’re going for. The one on the right is definitely cute, but the one on the left is great if you’re trying to look hot,” you told her after a moment of looking at the options. She put the dress on the right back in the closet. Once she actually knew what she wanted to wear, she quickly got ready. As she was getting ready, there was a pounding on the door. Peggy went to go look, but whoever had done that was already gone. You already knew you were running a bit late, but who ever really showed up to parties on time?
The music wasn’t too loud when you and Peggy got to the living room half an hour after the party was supposed to start. The lights were off, save for one of those multi-color party lights, balloons were all over the floor, and some colorful YouTube video was playing on the TV. Alex and John were already drinking, quickly pulling Peggy to the booze table to make her something. Herc and Laf were sitting on one of the couches, just chatting, and Thomas was hanging near the pool table, talking to Maria. Maria looked gorgeous, red satin slip dress hugging her figure and sheer thigh-high stockings creating an image you could only hope to compete with. You left the living room, going to get yourself some water from the kitchen.
Just going across the hall was a huge difference. Aaron was sitting at the table, laptop in front of him as he worked on something. Angelica and Eliza were in the kitchen, making something that you were definitely going to try later. “Do you know what they’re making in there?” You asked Aaron as you filled your cup.
“No idea, but I know I’m going to have to clean it afterwards,” Aaron complained, looking up from his work. “You look nice.”
“Thanks. Are you going?” You nodded your head towards the living room.
“No, I have work to do tonight. Have fun, though.” To be honest, that was probably the longest conversation you’d had with Aaron. He normally kept to himself, except when he was dragged into hangouts with the house by other people. You took your cup of water and went back to the living room, seeing Peggy, John, and Alex huddled around Alex’s phone as they put more songs in the queue. Thomas was drinking something from a mason jar, though in the dim light you really couldn’t see what it was.
“Hey, (y/n), you look cute,” Thomas said as he walked up to you. You immediately looked down at your cup and mumbled a thank you. There was just something about being called cute that hit different, especially when it comes from someone you were very attracted to. “Do you want something to drink?”
“I’m good, I’m playing adult tonight,” you told him, holding up your cup a little. You finally looked at Thomas, the colored lights casting a mix of reds and blues on his skin. He was wearing a button up shirt, different from the t-shirts and tanks you’d seen him in before. When you looked a little further down, you saw he was wearing basketball shorts. That would just make it easier to- you stopped the thought there. You didn’t know where it came from, you couldn’t even blame any alcohol in your system. Instead, you blamed it on the colored lights in the dark room, creating an almost intimate atmosphere.
“Thank you. Would you mind cutting John off when he starts getting a little, you know?” You nodded. You did know. John was a bit of a sloppy drunk, but he hated when anyone pointed it out. That’s why every drinking night needed a designated adult. Thomas took another drink before nodding to the empty couch. “You wanna sit? No one’s really dancing yet.”
You nodded again, following Thomas to the couch. Even when the music picked up, only a few people were really dancing. Thomas got up a few times to refill his cup, but he never really left your side. The two of you talked through the night, and you found yourselves getting closer as the night went on. His attention was entirely on you, even brushing off Maria when she tried to pull him to dance. There were a few songs where you actually wanted to dance, and Thomas practically jumped at the chance to dance with you. Eventually the music changed to slower stuff, and you went back to sitting down with Thomas.
You really tried to stop your mind from racing at the proximity, but you couldn’t help it. As the two of you talked, the lights still dancing across his skin, you could see yourself closing the small gap, kissing him. Every now and then he’d brush his fingertips across your skin, but you couldn’t tell if it was intentional or not. Your skin burned with the slight brushes. Your mind ran to what his touch would feel like if it was more purposeful, how his skin would feel under your fingers. When he leaned forward, brushing some hair from your face, you wondered if he would always be this gentle.
Thomas was mid-sentence when it finally became too much. You took the chance, leaning in and pressing a questioning kiss to his lips. He tensed, and you immediately went to pull back. When he realized what you were doing, he brought his hand up to the back of your head, holding your face to his. The kiss started gentle, but it got more insistent as it went on. You could feel the party around you just melt away as the two of you kissed, your hands feeling his arms as you let yourself fall victim to your wants. You couldn’t tell if the kiss had lasted for minutes or hours, but you knew you must’ve looked a mess.
“Do you want to come up to my room?” Thomas asked, breathless and low enough for just you to hear. You nodded, and Thomas immediately stood, leading you by the hand. You could hear John’s drunken cheers as you and Thomas went up the stairs. His room wasn’t far from the stairs, and it didn’t take long for you to end up in his bed. His body lightly pinned yours on the bed, one of his thighs between yours. Thomas broke the kiss, only to trail kisses down your neck as his hands ran up and down your body.
“Thomas, please,” you said, not really sure what you were asking for.
“I know, Sugar.” You could feel his smirk against your skin. “I want you too.”
“I think I’m going to call it a night,” Thomas said, standing up. You were shocked at his sudden announcement. It wasn’t even just to you, he announced it to the whole party. He gave you a small smile before turning to leave the room. Just before he left, he turned around once more. “Reminder that quiet hours start in an hour, adjust the music accordingly.”
As soon as Thomas left, you could feel your social battery dying. You should’ve known better than to allow yourself to fantasize about what could’ve happened that night, just because he was paying attention to you. It didn’t take long for you to call it a night after that, just feeling exhaustion that wasn’t there before as you took off your makeup and changed into some sleep clothes. As you laid in bed, waiting for sleep to come to you, you couldn’t help as your mind replayed the night and your fantasies. The last thought you had was of the way Thomas looked in the colored lights, and the phantom feeling of his lips on yours, even though you never actually felt them.
**********
In the week following the party, you and Thomas went back to just how you were before. You were a little disappointed, but your mind immediately went to justifying the change. Or rather, lack of change. He’d been drinking a bit. He knew you felt out of place with all the drinking and weed smoking going on. He probably wanted to make sure you were feeling okay since you’d had a few conversations about how quickly your social battery died. There were all of these possibilities, but nothing was ever confirmed. So you just went back to how things were.
Then Laf planted a seed in your mind. It was delivery time - that time of night when everyone’s packages got delivered and people would either grab their packages and open them in their room, or open them in the dining room in front of everyone else. You’d just ordered a cute romper in an attempt to feel something, so you opened it in front of the rest of the group. “That’s so cute! You know, it seems like something the type of girl Thomas goes after would wear,” Laf announced when you held up the romper.
“What are you talking about?” James asked as he opened his own package, not even looking up. It was some lights for the little garden he was starting in his room. Maria was very invested in the new shoes she’d ordered, but you could tell she was still listening.
“They’d be cute together! You guys should go on a date, I’ll set it up,” Laf continued, focusing his attention on you now. “I ship them! They’re my new ship!”
“What’s going on?” Thomas asked, coming out from the kitchen. You looked down, folding the romper as fast as you could.
“Nothing,” Laf said. You looked up just in time to see Laf wink at you.
“Alright.” You could tell Thomas didn’t believe him by the side-eye he was giving him, but you were glad Laf didn’t announce it any louder than he already did. When you and Peggy got back to your room, you couldn’t help but tell her about the seed Laf had planted. Sure, you found Thomas very attractive, but the concept of a relationship with him had never entered your mind. Until now. Of course Peggy just made fun of you, but you knew it was all in good fun.
It took two days for that seed to be completely destroyed. You started to notice Thomas and Maria hanging out a lot more than they did before; they were almost constantly talking to each other, and there was once that you went upstairs to use the bathroom and saw Maria leaving Thomas’s room. You were in the living room watching a movie with the Schuylers when Thomas came in. “Hey, Maria and I want to watch something after, can you text me when you’re done?” Thomas asked Angelica, not even acknowledging anyone else.
“Yeah, sure,” Angelica told him. With that, he left the living room.
“Your boyfriend’s cheating on you,” Peggy teased, not loud enough that anyone else could hear her.
“Can we not do this right now?” You whispered, already feeling your chest tighten. Of course you should’ve known. People like Thomas never went for people like you, they would always end up with people like Maria. Why would you let Laf even give you the slightest bit of hope that things would be different? Peggy’s face immediately fell when she saw just how you looked.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered, but you just shook your head. Why was she sorry? It wasn’t her fault. This was just on you.
For the next week, you avoided Thomas and Maria as much as you could. You took your dinners to your room to just eat and watch (favorite show), you didn’t really talk to them if you were in the same room as them, you didn’t go out of your way to hang out with them. If they noticed, they never said anything to you. Then again, it wasn’t really like you gave them the chance to.
**********
You wanted to keep your distance from your housemates, but John pulled you into agreeing to go to yet another house party. It would just be for your house again, but this time he’d managed to get everyone to agree to come. He didn’t even let you be late, grabbing you and Peggy from your room as soon as the party started. So there you were, standing by the pool table, sipping some drink that was way too strong (Aaron was designated adult this time), just watching the party around you. Maria was already there, wearing yet another dress that made her look absolutely gorgeous, but Thomas was nowhere to be seen.
“James, where’s your friend?” John practically yelled over the pounding music.
“He’s coming, don’t worry,” James said, rolling his eyes. You tensed at the confirmation, even though you knew he was going to be there. Before you could really think about it, Laf pulled you onto the dancefloor. Laf and Herc made sure that you were enjoying yourself, dancing with them and making sure you didn’t have the chance to think about it too much. Laf knew everything that was going on, trying to tell you that he was sorry about the entire ‘shipping’ thing. You just waved it off, not wanting to let it ruin the fun you were having.
You don’t know how many songs you danced with them before you needed to take a break and get some water. They finally let you out of their sights as soon as you promised to come back the second you were done. You appreciated their concern for you, but it was starting to get a little stifling. As you stood by the sink, glass stained with the red of your lipstick, you let your mind wander once again. You had been too busy dancing to pay attention to the party around you, but you guess Thomas must’ve arrived at some point. Had he been dancing with Maria? Did he even care you were there?
It was like the universe took your questioning as manifestations, and you wondered why it didn’t do that for literally anything else you tried manifesting as Thomas walked into the room. “I thought I saw you leave. You look really cute.”
You looked down at your outfit, taking in the romper that you’d bought not too long ago - a button down with a thick belt at the waist. You tried to ignore the way your heart fluttered at that, tried to remember the past few weeks where Thomas was completely focused on Maria, but your heart seemed to not get the message. “You know, you never compliment me outside of parties,” you decided to address the situation head on. “Is Maria waiting for you?”
“What?” Thomas seemed like he genuinely had no idea what was going on. You narrowed your eyes at him.
“I mean, the two of you have been spending a ton of time together, I’d expect you’d come to the party together,” you almost snapped.
“What about Laf and Herc? You seemed pretty close to them tonight,” Thomas immediately argued. You should’ve known he wouldn’t just let you snap at him without biting back.
“They’re just making sure I have a good time. Like you did last time,” you said, taking a deep breath. “I’m gonna go back.”
You heard Thomas say your name as you went back to the living room, but you kept walking. When you got back, Laf and Herc were immediately by your side. You gave them a soft smile, which they quickly returned. It didn’t take long for exhaustion to start to set in, your legs starting to hurt and your eyes starting to tire. You sat down in the corner of the couch, watching the party continue around you. It didn’t take long for Thomas to take the spot next to you. “I’m sorry.”
You just looked at him, waiting for him to continue. “Maria needed help with her statistics class and we’ve been spending time together because of that. I didn’t realize you’d take it the wrong way.”
“I’m so stupid.” Thomas looked confused. “I should be the one apologizing. I just kind of decided you didn’t like me.”
Thomas scooted closer, taking your hand in his. “Yeah, I kind of realized that. I really do like you, though.”
“Cool,” you said, not knowing how to really react in this situation. Thomas laughed, shaking his head as you felt the heat rise in your face. “I… uhm… I’m kinda feeling tired. I think I’m gonna head to bed.”
Thomas looked dejected before understanding crossed his features. “Your social battery?”
You nodded. “Yeah. Is it even midnight?”
Thomas checked his phone. “Just about. Do you want to come to my room?”
You stared at him blankly, your heart racing at the question. It was almost exactly like your fantasy at the last party, not that he’d know it. He had to know how that sounded, right? It seemed to take him a second to realize it, eyes widening. “I mean, just to hang out somewhere calm. I want to spend more time with you.”
“And what’s wrong with my room? People will notice if I go upstairs instead of just down the hall,” you argued, leaning closer to him.
“I know you have a bunk and I don’t want to sit on Peggy’s bed.”
“You could sit at my desk.”
“Under your bunk? That kind of defeats the purpose of hanging out.” Thomas rolled his eyes at your obvious deflection. You were just giving him a hard time at this point, still a little vindictive even if the only real issue over the past few weeks had been because of you.
“Alright, but don’t be surprised if I end up just passing out,” you agreed. Thomas gave you a blinding smile. “How are we gonna do this? If we leave together people are gonna talk.”
“Let them,” Thomas said, standing up and offering his hand to you. You took it.
Amazingly, no one seemed to notice the two of you leaving except for Aaron who shot you a pained look. You felt kind of bad for leaving him alone to everyone else, but your social battery really was dying and Thomas was offering an escape. He lead you up the stairs, down the hall a little to his room. The door was already slightly open - just so he wouldn’t have to carry around his key - but he opened the door further to let you in first. It was your first time seeing Thomas’s room, and it really fit him. He had a few pictures on the wall above his desk, the desk itself was neatly organized - textbooks stacked on one side, laptop in the center, a few pencils next to it. His bed was pushed to the corner near his desk, black comforter and deep magenta pillowcases different from the typical college dude bedding.
“You can sit down if you want,” Thomas said, walking over to his closet. He grabbed a t-shirt from one of the drawers. “I’m just gonna go change my shirt, you can sit on the bed or the chair, whatever you’re more comfortable with.”
Thomas left the room, and you decided to sit on the bed, still unsure of what you were doing. Your fantasy from the last party kept replaying in your mind, reminding you of just how different these circumstances were. You pressed a couple fingers to your wrist, feeling your racing pulse. You didn’t know why you were so nervous. You were pretty sure nothing was going to happen, but the images of Thomas kissing you, him touching you, it made your mind go crazy. Before you could talk yourself out of it, Thomas came back. “So, uh, what do you wanna do? We could listen to some music, or watch a movie…”
“Can we just listen to some music? Like, something softer though,” you said. Just listening to music seemed less intimate than watching a movie on his laptop with him, even though you really didn’t know why. Thomas nodded, turning on his speaker on his desk. He handed you his phone.
“You can choose,” he told you, sitting on the bed next to you. He pressed his back against the wall, watching you as you shared one of your playlists to his phone. Even though you could feel him watching, you missed the way his eyes took in your profile in the harsh light of his room. “Do you mind if I switch off the main light and turn on my desk light instead?”
“You know, this is sounding more and more sus as you keep talking,” you told him as your music started playing from his speaker. You turned the volume down a little, letting the music be just loud enough to provide some background noise. It was just what you needed to recharge. “But yeah, the ceiling lights are really harsh.”
Thomas got up to fix the lighting situation before taking his spot next to you once again. The two of you just sat there quietly, close but not quite touching, letting the soft sounds of your music wash over you. A few songs passed before you decided to just make your move, scooting closer to him to rest your head on his shoulder. You were still pretty drained from the party, and the excuse was ready if he was going to question you. He didn’t.
When he brought his hand up to play with your hair, you didn’t say anything. You enjoyed the gentle brush of his hand, almost as if he was afraid to disturb you. You closed your eyes, focusing on his touch. He started near your hairline, his fingers tracing a curve behind your ear, whispering down your jawline for a second before repeating the process. Time wasn’t real in your little bubble, the only clue being the songs changing in the background. “(Y/n)?” Thomas asked, voice low like he was trying not to break the atmosphere.
You hummed in response, eyes still closed, and you could feel Thomas’s soft laughter more than you could hear it. “I thought you fell asleep.”
“If you keep playing with my hair I just might,” you teased, smiling as you opened your eyes to look up at him. You were slightly taken aback at the way he looked at you, but you tried not to show it. It took you a second before you could finally place it - adoration. It was completely soft, something you never really saw on him before. You could see him leaning in, but he stopped a hairsbreadth away. You waited to see if he would close the miniscule gap or if you should, but then he spoke.
“Can I?” He practically whispered, bringing his hand up to caress your jaw. You nodded even as your heart pounded in your chest. Thomas stayed for a second as though he was giving you a chance to back out, and when you didn’t take it, he closed the gap. The kiss started out gentle, like he was still worried you would change your mind. You were enjoying yourself and the slow pace, but when your mind started taunting you with the things that could happen, you decided to take a chance. You brushed the tip of your tongue against his bottom lip, and he gladly took your sign to deepen the kiss.
Thomas kept one hand cupping your jaw, but the other moved to rest on your hip. The feeling of his hand sent a jolt through you, even through the layer of clothing still separating his skin from yours. You put a hand on the bed to reposition yourself, but Thomas pulled you onto his lap, your core resting on him. You let out a small gasp at the sudden move. Thomas pressed a kiss to your jaw. “Is this okay?” He mumbled against your skin.
“Y-yeah. Yeah, it’s good.” You were a little flustered at the position, but you definitely weren’t complaining. Thomas grasped your chin, tilting your face to look directly in your eyes. Your gaze darted down to his lips, trying to look anywhere but his eyes. You could tell he was studying you, your reactions. He brushed his thumb against your bottom lip, dragging it down just slightly.
“You’re so damn cute,” he murmured before kissing you breathless. Your hands went up to cup his jaw, holding him to you, while his settled on your waist. You went to adjust your position, accidentally grinding against him. Thomas let out the most sinful groan, breaking the kiss to rest his head on your shoulder. “I’m sorry, it just felt so-”
He was cut off by another groan as you grinded against him again. You bit your lip, feeling him harden underneath you. “Don’t apologize.”
Thomas brought you back down for another kiss, his hand on your hip now guiding your movements against him. You softly whined into the kiss, every sensation heightened by the dim room, the soft music. He broke the kiss, laughing slightly as you tried to chase his lips. Before you could say anything, he started kissing down your neck, nipping and soothing the spots with his tongue. As he worked, you started grinding against him faster, needing something to ease the heat pooling in you.
“I need you so bad,” you whined as he worked a spot on your collarbone. Thomas let go of your skin with a wet noise, looking up at you with hooded eyes.
“You sound so pretty when you’re needy,” Thomas said, smirking up at you. He brought his hands up to the buttons of your romper, the question evident in his eyes. You nodded, and he started slowly undoing your romper, pressing a kiss to each inch of skin revealed to him. “You’re gorgeous, Sugar.”
A shiver ran through you at his words, but you ignored it, instead opting to reach for the hem of his t-shirt. “What’s fair’s fair?”
“Of course.” Thomas took the chance to flip your positions, taking off his shirt as your back bounced slightly against the bed. You couldn’t help your sharp inhale as his shirt hit the floor. You knew he was built from what you saw around the house, but seeing him without any barriers was a completely different situation. His abs were solid, something you saw briefly the one time he lifted his shirt to clean his glasses in front of you, so you took the chance to drink in the sight. As your eyes trailed back up his body, he saw him looking down at you with a smirk. He was attractive and he knew it.
He was getting a little too smug for your liking. You wouldn’t normally consider yourself a bold person, but your next move definitely was. You slightly lifted yourself up, undoing your belt and smoothly sliding it off. You pushed the top of the romper off your shoulders, taking a quick glance to see Thomas’s attention completely on you. His smirk had fallen, but his bottom lip was caught between his teeth. You reached behind you, unhooking your bra in one movement (a silent victory on your part). Thomas eased himself down beside you, trying to hide his eagerness, but you could see it in his eyes. The second you tossed your bra to the side, Thomas was back on you, kissing you deeply as his hands explored your chest.
Whatever upperhand you had was gone as Thomas’s thumb ran back and forth over your nipple, drawing a keening whine from the back of your throat. You could feel his smirk as his lips left yours, kissing down your neck again. He nipped at your collarbone, licking at the spot before trailing his tongue across the tops of your breasts. Your hand flew up to hold the back of his head, needing to feel more of his mouth on you.
“You’re so responsive for me, Sugar,” Thomas hummed. “The way your body just acts on its own, the little noises you make for me, it’s intoxicating. All I’ve done is kiss you, we haven’t even gotten to the fun part yet.”
“Do you get off on the sound of your own voice?” You asked, gasping as his hand kneaded your breast. His movements were lazy, like he was ready to just have a conversation about this while teasing you to the point of madness.
“No, but I can tell you do.” He wasn’t wrong, but he didn’t need to point it out like that. Your silence spoke volumes. He decided to take pity on you, kissing and sucking on the breast he wasn’t kneading. Thomas’s first licks across your nipple were teasing, watching your reactions. You knew you couldn’t be loud - you couldn’t even step in the house without someone hearing you - but the electricity running through you at his touch was making that insanely difficult for you. When he used just the right amount of teeth, even you were surprised at the moan you let out.
Thomas didn’t make any move to quiet you, instead switching over to the other breast. You didn’t know what to do with your hands, switching between holding him to your breast and fisting your hand in the blanket beside you. You tried pressing your thighs together, but Thomas’s body on yours made that almost impossible. He grinded down on you, letting out his own little groan at the slight relief the pressure offered. Thomas brought one of his hands to your waist, teasing at where your romper was still on your body. You whined when his mouth left your skin, not that you’d admit to it. “Can I take this off?”
“Yes, please,” you told him. Thomas sat up, watching you for any signs of discomfort as he fully took your romper off. As he went to shed his own shorts, you leaned back on your elbows, watching. Even though his basketball shorts had already done little to conceal his arousal, seeing the tent in his boxers sent another rush of arousal through you. You spread your legs for Thomas to take his rightful spot between them, which he quickly did. He brought his hand to your core, running his fingers over the fabric there.
“Fuck, you’re soaked,” Thomas groaned, rubbing a little harder. “This all because of me?”
“You know it is,” you tried snipping, but his thumb finding your clit through your panties made it sound more like a plead for something. “Thomas, please touch me.”
“I am touching you,” he teased. “You want more already?”
You nodded. It was almost comical how fast your panties came off, but feeling his fingers against your lips quickly threw any humor you found in the situation out the window. He ran a finger along your slit, watching as you threw your head back against his pillows. You didn’t see the smirk that graced his lips again, watching the way you quickly fell apart under his touch. He hadn’t even done that much, but he wanted to see what’d you do when he actually took you apart.
The wetness between your legs glistened even in the dim light, and Thomas unknowingly licked his lips. There would be time to taste you later - he had the feeling if he went now, he’d be there all night. He dipped his finger into your entrance, teasing like he had been all night. You let out a soft whimper, half ready to beg, but then he gave you what you needed. He carefully inserted his finger into you, feeling around for your spot while his thumb worked your clit. Your soft noises were driving him crazy; even though they weren’t loud, they were mesmerizing, and he wondered how you’d sound if you didn’t have to worry about being overheard.
As he pumped his finger in you, he made sure to drag it along your wall, dragging out every little whimper he could. You tried to close your thighs on his hand, but he held them open with his free hand. Thomas wanted to see what he was doing to you, see your arousal glistening on his finger. Once he was sure you were ready, he slid another finger into you, drawing your loudest moan yet at the stretch. He curled his fingers, sending a shock of pleasure through you. He smiled when he felt you shudder, knowing he found it.
Thomas’s attention on your clit and the pressure on your spot was bringing you to your edge and fast. Your fisted hand in his sheet was pulling it down, your other hand trying to muffle the noises you were making. You weren’t normally so vocal in bed, but the way Thomas was playing your body just brought out this side that you never knew about. “I’m close,” you panted out the warning.
“Then cum for me, Sugar. Cum on my fingers.” It wasn’t an order, but your body listened to him like it was. You bit into your arm to hide your moans, and you swore you were close to breaking skin. Thomas worked you through it, his fingers slowing considerably but not quite stopping until the last shudder wracked through your body. He pulled his fingers out, looking at them covered in your juices. “Look at that, Sugar. You got me all messy.”
Before you even had the chance to be embarrassed, Thomas took his fingers in his mouth, making sure to completely clean them of your essence. You thought he couldn’t get more attractive, but the blissed out look on his face as he tasted you proved you wrong. You let out a soft whisper of ‘fuck’ at the sight. Your body was weak from your orgasm, but that didn’t stop you from sitting up so you could kiss him properly. You pulled back from the kiss, holding his face in your hands. “Thomas… do you want to?”
“Yeah, if you’re okay with it,” Thomas said, bringing one of his hands to cover yours. You rolled your eyes.
“I wouldn’t have asked if I wasn’t,” you sassed. You let out a shriek as Thomas pinned you back down to the bed.
“You’re so annoying.” Thomas kissed you, grinding his still-covered erection into you for a second before he got back up to dig in his desk drawer. He emerged a few seconds later, condom in hand. “Perks of being a manager.”
“Aren’t those supposed to be if we need them, not your personal use?” you decided to tease him.
“Technically this is you needing them,” Thomas laughed as he pulled down his boxers. His length stood proudly, precum beading at the tip. He stroked himself, watching you squirm on his bed. You could feel your body growing hot at his intense gaze, slight embarrassment making you want to cover up, but heavy arousal beat that out. You couldn’t pull your eyes away from his hand on his dick, his thumb rubbing the head, smearing the precum. After what felt like ages of the agonizing tease, Thomas finally rolled the condom on.
Thomas climbed back over you, caging you in between his arms. He dipped his head, catching your lips in a kiss that was softer than any of the ones you’d shared before. When he broke the kiss, he only separated a breath away. “Are you ready?”
“Please, Thomas, I need to feel you.” Thomas slowly dragged one hand down your body, reaching between the two of you to line up with your entrance.
“Tell me if you need me to do anything,” he said before finally sliding into you. You whined at the stretch, just bordering on the right side of uncomfortable. Thomas kissed you as he stayed still, waiting for you to get used to his size. After a second, you rolled your hips, needing him to move. Thomas picked up on your movement, giving a testing thrust. “Fuck, you feel so good.”
“Please, Thomas, move.” Thomas nodded, keeping his pace slow, but still hitting every spot that had you crying out for him. You tried to cover your mouth to muffle your noises, but Thomas stopped you, instead threading his fingers with yours and holding your hand to the bed. He kissed at your neck, and you could tell he was leaving marks, but you really didn’t care. The feeling of him inside you was driving you wild, but you needed him to move faster. You wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling him closer.
“What is it, baby? You want me to move faster? But I like feeling you around me, gripping my dick so nice,” Thomas panted into your ear. Even though he was teasing, he still sped up his movements. You knew you were talking, but you didn’t really know what you were saying. The only thing you really registered was a stream of curse words and pleads for more, even though you really didn’t know what more you were asking for.
You could feel the heat pooling in you, so close but not quite there. You choked out a warning, your walls squeezing around him. His thrusts were getting faster and sloppier, just hinting that Thomas was nearing his end. “C’mon, baby, just a little longer. I’m almost there too,” Thomas panted into your ear, pressing his face into your neck.
You scratched your nails down his back, working your hips against his as you tried to reach your peak. Thomas nudged the side of your face, bringing his lips to yours. He brought a hand down between your bodies, feeling blindly for a second before finding your clit. You moaned into the kiss, unable to control it any longer. You broke the kiss, moans filling the room as Thomas worked you through it. Thomas followed soon after, unrestrained groans mingling with your own noises. He pumped into you a few more times before easing himself out of you, laying down next to you.
You laid there, letting the pleasant soreness settle in your body. You looked over at Thomas as he threw out the condom before sitting up and looking around for your romper. You saw it crumpled near the foot of his bed, and as you were pulling it on, you couldn’t help but make a little quip. “So that was fun.”
“Yeah, it really wa- why are you getting dressed?”
“Because I need to go back downstairs?”
“Stay with me,” he said, climbing back in bed beside you and wrapping his arms around you. “I”ll get you a shirt, you can go clean up in the bathroom, we can stay and cuddle…”
You had to admit, that all sounded very tempting. Then again, you had to think about the walk of shame you’d be doing. Either you could do it now when it wasn’t likely anyone was awake still, or you could do it in the morning before anyone else was up. Thomas pressed a kiss to your neck. “Alright, I guess I can stay.”
He gave you a bright smile before hopping up off the bed again. He grabbed his boxers from the floor and pulled them on before going to grab you a shirt. Once the shirt was on, you checked the hallway and bolted to the bathroom to clean up. By the time you got back to Thomas’s room, the music was off, and Thomas was in bed, scrolling on his phone. He looked over at you, the same bright smile on his face again.
“Hey,” you said, suddenly feeling shy. You’d just slept with the guy, and you were wearing his shirt, but now you didn’t know what to say.
“Hey.” He put his phone down on the desk before pulling his legs in so you could climb in next to him. Once you were in bed, you sat there, trying to figure out what to do. He wrapped his arm around your middle, pulling you into him. You took a deep breath, letting yourself relax into his hold. He pressed a kiss to the top of your head. “Stop worrying so much, go to sleep.”
You couldn’t help but listen to him.
**********
The first thing you registered was the fact that you were not in your bed. You knew the sheets felt different, your stuffed bear was not next to you, and there was definitely someone sleeping right beside you. It took a second for your half-asleep mind to piece together what had happened the night before, but once it did, you couldn’t help the word that slipped from your lips. “Fuck.”
“We already did that, Sugar,” Thomas mumbled from beside you, wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you close to him. He nuzzled into your neck, and you’d be lying if you said that didn’t make you melt.
“Thomas,” you trailed off, not knowing what you were supposed to say. You lived with this guy, and would for at least 7 more months. Not only did you live with this guy, he was a manager for the house you lived in. That broke some of the most major rules you had for not only living with other people, but dating in general. Wait, were you even dating now?
“Shush, it’s still before noon. We have some more time.” You didn’t know what exactly he meant by that, but you let yourself relax into his hold. You should probably have this conversation with him when he wasn’t half asleep.
You stayed in bed with him for another hour before you finally went down to your own room. You waited for the hallway to go completely quiet and made your way down the stairs, only to see Peggy, Alex, and John sitting at the dinner table. “Look who finally made her appearance. So, how was Thomas?” John asked, a sly smile on his face.
“I just ended up passing out in his room after the party,” you tried lying, not meeting any of their eyes.
“So that’s why you’re wearing his shirt?” Peggy jumped in. Before you could even try to defend yourself with more lies, Alex spoke.
“The walls here are way too thin to try lying about things like that.”

Season 4 in the Hoe!Bruce arc.
And yeah, it’s smut.
Thank you for the request <3
----------------------------------
The night was always ending when a fight blew up. Tabitha and Barbara were nowhere to be found, just great, just perfectly great. Selina marched to where the commotion was centred, and, when she discovered it was a catfight between to wasted bitches over Bruce fucking Wayne, who was just standing there laughing, blood rushed to her head so fast it made her ears ring, anger taking the rest of her body in hot waves. She grabbed her bullwhip and with the help of the staff, ended the fight and declared the bar closed, sending everyone home or to fucking hell, she didn’t care.
But, when she came back, fuming, Bruce was still there, sitting on the bar, serving himself drinks as if he had any right.
“Why are you are doing this?” she teared the tequila cup off his hands and slammed it on the table, spilling most of it.
“Doing what?” he had the nerve to ask. “Partying? You used to tell me I didn’t know how to have fun. I know now, you are just jealous I’m not having fun with you.” He took her wrist and drank the remaining content of the cup.
“Urgh” she rolled her eyes and pulled her arm back. “You should slow down with the dope it’s turning you completely delusional.”
“Truth hurts, doesn’t it?”
“Oh please. Look, I don’t get it. Gotham is huge, why my place? You could be partying in your castle in Italy. You don’t need to be here.”
“Chalet in Sweden,” he smirked and drank directly from the bottle, “what if I want to be here?”
“Whatever, I’m just tired of cleaning up after you and your prissy whores. If you want to keep coming to the Sirens, you’ll have to behave yourself.”
He laughed, it sounded dark, fake, and not at all how she remembered his laugh when they were younger and sillier. When she’d tell him a joke so lame it was barely enough funny to be considered as such, but he would find hilarious and laugh so much she’d think he was laughing at her instead and they would fight. Seeing him there, so different, corrupted, broke her heart, but also made his pull over her grow twofold, curiosity and cats had always been a dangerous combination, and before Selina could stop herself she had stepped in closer.
“Make me,” he said looking down her body.
Selina tried to ignore the goosebumps that spread through her body by rolling her eyes.
“What? God, you are pathetic,” and deciding he didn’t deserve more of her attention, or maybe too afraid of how weird he made her feel now, Selina clicked her heels around, ready to leave him and that stupid conversation behind, maybe get someone to drag his ass out.
“Yeah, leave, that’s what you’re really good at.”
She stopped, grabbing the fabric of her tight skirt to conceal her shaking hands.
“What?” she managed to ask, her voice creaking, higher than the usual.
The air stood still, unusually dry. It felt just like their relationship, the once reliable ocean had disappeared.
“Forget it” he spat in a low voice.
“No,” she turned back, now it wasn’t only her hands, her whole body was shaking, “say it,” she dared him. “You started, now you’ll finish.”
He looked different. Gone was the stranger. The rich playboy that came to her bar night after night to party hard with a bunch of assholes. Who constantly pretended they knew nothing about each other so well she actually doubted. It felt like a weird collage of an old familiar face on a stranger’s body. Reality felt fragile, like time was folding in itself.
“You know what I mean,” his voice cracked, all his artifices dissolving, exposing him exactly how he was. Still very young, and so close, if she just reached, he could be hers again. “You left. Why do you think I-“
“I didn’t leave!” she shouted, months and months of hurt and frustration spilling out, and when she heard her voice she noticed she was crying. “You told me to go!”
He furrowed his brow, and it was so long since last time she saw that confused frown, that particular look of hurt. A wave of loss took her over, she faltered and he came closer, not yet touching her, but she could smell the booze, sweat, the sickling perfume of the girl he had been kissing in front of her just a while ago, past and present mixing, time became an illusion, and everything felt possible.
“So what?! I was hurt, I was…” he paused, covering his eyes with his palms, breathing hard before letting his arms fall and looking at her. “Selina, how many times before I ran after you like a kicked puppy after a fight? How many times have I humiliated myself for your attention? Your respect? And the one time, the only time I needed you to be the one to fight for me you just left.”
Selina didn’t know what to say, she just stood there gobsmacked, suddenly the whole world became this breakable thing and any move rehearsed by her would result in catastrophe.
But he still waited, his eyes begging for an answer, a reaction, anything. After a long while of silence, his shoulders fell, and he swallowed bitterly.
“And now you don’t even have anything to say,” he finally said. “What was I expecting? You are right, you always were, I am pathetic.”
Before she could think twice or plan otherwise, her lips were against his, and, after that, there was no return. Unlike the last time they had been themselves around each other, Bruce didn’t reject her. One hand pulled her flush against him by her waist, the other one went to her face, delicately, pushing her curls away and wiping her tears. She didn’t want to open her eyes never again, things had felt so wrong lately. She had been trying so hard to convince herself that she was better than ever. That she was making something of herself against all odds. But even after learning to apply shimmering makeup on her eyelids, everything around her looked lacklustre. Pointless. And part of herself hated how only on the lips of a asshole that treated her like shit sometimes and like she was his whole world in another, who was just five minutes ago cheering over two poor idiots ruining themselves for his attention, there, right there, she found meaning.
But they had to breathe eventually, and his lips left hers, his hot panting, thick with tequila, fanning on her face.
“Selina, look at me,” he pleaded.
She didn’t, but pushed him against the bar rail and kissed him again, now working to free him from his already half-buttoned shirt. Again, he didn’t deny her, reaching for her face as soon as his arms were free again, cupping it with both of his hands.
“Please,” he said ending the kiss with a peck and when her eyes remained shut, he sucked her earlobe earning a sob that was pleasure and despair in the same measure, “Selina, please.”
She fluttered her eyes open, and he smiled, and it looked so earnest, so relieved, so him, Bruce, her Bruce. Selina tried to kiss him again, and for a moment of terror and confusion she thought he would leave her, but he dove to kiss her neck instead, pushing the straps of her tank top and bra down her shoulder, unafraid of cup her breast as if it wasn’t the first time for them to be like that. She couldn’t help but wonder, if it was just result of practice using other girls’ bodies, or if he had just thought about it, about them, her, for so long it felt natural. She hopped it was the later, but as soon as she remembered about the other girls she was mad at him again, and pushed him away.
“What-“ despite not having a single drop of alcohol, she felt drunk, her brain fuzzy, maybe it was oxygen depletion, maybe her heart was beating too fast “are you think you are doing? I’m not…” she stopped again, sucking air in “if you think you can just-“ god what was wrong with her?! She couldn’t finish a single sentence. “I’m not like them,” she said finally, meaning the girls she had shunned off her club just a while ago. They held each other gazes for a while. Selina felt ashamed, especially because as soon as the last words left her mouth she noticed that she didn’t regret kissing Bruce, not at all, but she didn’t want that night to end like that either, she wasn’t ready to let him go after all he said.
Bruce looked confused, and still Bruce-like how he hadn’t been in such a long time. And that was scarier than if he had reverted completely to his new persona, because she never thought that asshole had anything to do with the meek boy who used to be her friend. But there he was, towering over her, shirtless and half-wasted, with lips swollen by her hungry kisses. Her Bruce. Not the stranger for who she had just second-hand embarrassment and disdain for. But the one whom she feared, for he had reign over her heart.
He approached her, and she didn’t avoid him. Bruce’s hands grabbed her waist, pulling her close again. He kept his gaze fixed on her eyes, and moved slowly when he inserted his hands under the hem of her shirt, sliding them up through her skin and pulling the fabric off her. Selina held her arms up to help him discard the piece of clothing, heat pooling down her navel.
“No, you’re not,” he finally said, and then rested his forehead against hers, sighing, “you… Selina, you have no idea.”
Deciding neither of them was exactly good at talking about feelings, Selina took his lips again, and Bruce seemed to agree they were done talking. His grip lowered and he hoisted her up, pulling her legs around his waist and guided them both back to the bar countertop, lying her down there while he kissed down her throat, sucking and licking her skin in a way she knew she’d have to hide the next day.
He continued his way kissing down her sternum and belly, while one his hands caressed her leg and the other one held hers. And it felt at the same time incredibly sweet having his fingers intertwined with hers, and hot while his large hand slid down her thigh. But then, he started fumbling with her skirt, unsure of how to take it off, Selina was momentarily brought back from her horny induced mind fog to giggle at his annoyance. Bruce looked up from the irritating fashion trap and smiled at her. Selina tuned around on the bar top, exposing her back zipper to him and looking at him over her shoulder. Bruce kissed the small of her back and pulled the zipper down, but before stripping her of her tight vinyl skirt, he used the opportunity to undo her bra too. Just a few moments after that, Selina was lying on her back again, only in her panties and high heels, under the gaze of a very turned on Bruce Wayne who was looking at her as if she was a very tasty meal that he had no idea of what start eating first.
Luckily for her, it didn’t take long before he decided to go straight for the main course.
“Fuck,” Selina moaned when without more wait, Bruce pulled her lacy thong aside and sucked her clit. She felt him smiling against her, and one little part of her wanted to kick him for being so smug, but the thought was fast forgotten when he continued doing miracles with that talented tongue of his. Her heaving and whimpering filled the empty club lounge, and Bruce chuckled when the orgasm hit her so hard, Selina’s involuntary spasms almost threw her off the surface of the bar top, making him hold her there until she calmed herself.
“Are you okay?” he asked her, whipping his mouth with the back of his hand.
Selina took a couple of breaths, before sitting up.
“Peachy.”
She pulled him closer by his belt, and then, looking straight into his eyes, she undid the buckle. He dove to kiss her, but she avoided his lips.
“Shhh,” she made, “I want to see.”
“What?”
“Your face,” and then her warm small hand was around him.
Bruce closed his eyes shut, his mouth opening in a silent moan when she started pumping.
“Does it feel good?” She asked, feeling unsure of what she was doing, he was so smooth and hard, but she was afraid her nails might hurt him.
He swallowed.
“Yeah.”
“Hmmm” she made, her free hand on his neck, thumb rubbing his skin there too. “Tell me what you like.”
He smirked, and reached for her face, pulling her for a kiss, sucking her bottom lip as he let her go.
“I like you.”
She let out a chuckle from the back of her throat.
“Right now, I’m sure you do,” she said, feeling brave enough to pump a little harder, Bruce moaned.
Selina then opened her legs wide and urged him to draw closer.
Bruce replaced her hand with his own and rubbed the tip of his dick on her wet entrance.
Selina’s chest was heaving and he looked up worried.
“Are you ready?”
She bit her lower lip and nodded. In a swift motion, Bruce slid inside. Selina shut her eyes hard, she expected pain but felt none, the sensation was unfamiliar, but not bad, not bad at all. Her nails broke the skin of his shoulders, and she felt Bruce’s breath close. She thought he was about to kiss her again, but he rested his forehead on her temple.
“Are you okay?” he asked, and she could hear the restraint in the tightness of his voice.
“Yeah,” she managed “B,” she called.
“Hm” he made, opening his eyes, they were so dark, she could barely see the blue.
“Kiss me.”
He smiled first, one hand holding her face sweetly, and then he did as asked, kissing her, slowly and meticulously, while his hips started moving. His free hand slid down her waist and went to her clit. The wave of the pleasure due to the double stimulation got Selina surprised making her break the kiss to cry out. Bruce then kissed her chin, and her throat, he was getting momentum, and his rhythm becoming erratic. Selina was holding him by his shoulders for dear life, her head hanging behind while she tried to match his trusts with her own, both of them desperate for release.
She locked her shins behind him and pulled him closer, hugging his neck. Bruce let go of her face and clit to slam his palms on the bar top to stead them both as he went harder against her, thanking his lucky stars when she started trashing again and pulled him with her over the edge of pleasure with another loud curse.
They were breathing hard when the world stopped spinning. Bruce pulled out, feeling like he had just given up something he’d miss badly for the rest of his life. Selina was speechless, her eyes still closed, legs still open, with their mixed fluids dripping from her. He never seen her more beautiful. But he knew well there was something very wrong. That was not how their first time should go. With him half drunk, still smelling like some other girl’s perfume, on a bar after a nasty fight. Well, the fight made sense. Every time he fantasied before about having sex with Selina it had a fight involved before the make up.
But this… This was all wrong. They didn’t make up, they didn’t fix anything. They only made it more complicated and if he had no idea of where they stood in each other’s lives before, now he was too afraid to ask even himself.
They heard noise of someone approaching and Selina opened her eyes wide in alarm, she jumped off the bar top on wobbly legs, looking for her clothing.
“Selina,” he tried, fixing his pants.
“Later,” she said, rapidly putting her top back on without even putting her bra first. “You need to go.”
She couldn’t find her skirt but started pushing Bruce towards the back door.
When they finally reached the back of the service area, and Bruce stepped outside, they notice it was already morning, and they frowned under the aggressive sunlight.
“Selina, plea-“
And to his surprise she pulled him for another kiss, it was hard and fast, and made him a little dizzy.
“Later,” she said, and closed the door on his face.

Hi can I get an imagine with Happy. The reader works with Gemma and Happy has a crush on her. One night they run into each other in a bar and they're a little drunk he takes her home where they get it on. She thinks its a one night so she gets up to go but he stops her and tells her he likes her and to stay. Definitely smutty with a cute ending please
So, I also had a separate request which just stated Happy Lowman/smutty/#26 and thought I’d incorporate the two... Enjoy!
Prompt 26: “You’re a little hostile right now...”
Night One
He didn’t usually get drunk, not in the traditional sense. He’d have to let his guard down for that and Happy Lowman did not let his guard down. Not usually anyway.
But he’d agreed to catch up with some fellow former nomads in a bar they used to frequent back in the day and had ended up drinking more than he’d intended. Not that he couldn’t hold his liquor. But yeah, all things considered, it had been a weird night. So much had changed. Just not for him.
Tank cutting out early had been the final straw. It turned out the burly biker who’d left the nomad life behind to land with the Samdino crew a couple of years ago, a man who had once swore he needed nothing more than his bike and his cut, now had an old lady and twin babies to consider. Tank, for Christ’s sake. Two babies.
Happy – fearless, intimidating Happy – found the mere thought mildly terrifying.
Actually, of the six of them – six guys known to put the fear of god in those who dared cross them or their club, six die-hard bachelors who lived their lives on the road – four were now firmly tied down in a way they’d always vowed they never would be.
That left Mouse and Happy himself still free to indulge in whatever the hell they pleased.
Where once that would have made Happy smug though, now it rankled at him. Not least because he knew nothing would please his ma more than to see him finally settle down. Landing in Charming with the mother charter had been the compromise that allowed him to check in on her, given her advancing years and sometimes poor health. But where his Samcro brothers had old ladies, kids and community ties, he still might as well have been a nomad in all but name – living out of the clubhouse, indulging in the easy pussy that flocked to the place, but never letting anyone get too close. There just wasn’t anyone who—
“Watch it,” he growled, as someone bumped into him, sending his drink sloshing over his hand. “Or I’ll… You.”
“Uh, Happy, hey. Sorry, shit, I’m such a klutz.”
The tall, gruff Son had no idea what to say to the woman stood in front of him. He never did. Not when she was holed up in the Teller-Morrow office with Gemma, not when she was casually strolling across the yard or through the garage, and especially not when she was stood before him in some dive bar in a tiny dress that barely covered her ass, those big eyes slightly hazy with alcohol as she gazed up at him.
“What are you doing here?” he demanded, genuinely surprised to see her out of her usual habitat, but realising too late that the simple question unintentionally sounded less like small talk and more like some kind of interrogation.
“Uh, you’re a little hostile right now…” she said, somewhat defensively. “I am allowed a life outside TM, you know.”
Was she? Of course, she was. Well, it depended on what she meant by a life. The concept hadn’t really crossed Happy’s mind until now, and he found himself frowning at the thought of it. As far as he was concerned, her place was in the TM office. And unwittingly starring in the vast majority of the fantasies that drifted into his mind when he wasn’t entirely focused on work.
Obviously, he realised that the scenarios he pictured all too vividly were utterly incompatible with reality. She wasn’t some croweater, easy pussy. For a start, unlike most of the club girls, she had absolutely no idea the effect she had on him. For all he knew, this life she was apparently entitled to could include a boyfriend. Husband even. The thought rankled him more than he cared to admit, even to himself.
“Just… didn’t expect to see you here,” he muttered, realising he was just staring at her and shifting his dark gaze almost guiltily from those tantalising bare legs. Taking in her plump, glossy lips instead didn’t help in the slightest.
“I’ll get you another beer,” she offered, with a little eager-to-please smile, swaying on her heels just a little as she flagged down the barman. “Since I made you spill…”
And in the end, he’d let her. That was how they’d ended up talking most of the night, slow though the conversation was to ignite. Turned out she was there with a girlfriend who’d abandoned her in favour of some guy. Going back to the clubhouse had eventually been Happy’s idea. He was just surprised it was one he’d voiced out loud – and that she’d agreed. Maybe that life of hers didn’t actually include another man after all…
So that was where they’d ended up, back at TM. Both of them were now on more comfortable turf in familiar surroundings and, having raided the clubhouse bar, well on their way towards a new level of drunkenness.
“This might be the most we’ve ever talked,” she giggled, leaning against his shoulder as they sat on top of one of the picnic tables outside in the growing darkness. “You never talk to me, Happy. Don’t you like me?”
The Samcro enforcer didn’t know how to answer that. How could a man with his reputation admit that he didn’t have the courage to talk to a woman he actually liked the idea of for more than a quick fuck? As it turned out, her own Dutch courage negated the need for an answer from him.
Instead, her mouth simply crashed onto his.
She tasted of the vodka she’d been knocking back and something sweet that might have been whatever was slicked on her lips to make them look so damn irresistible and he kissed her back with a hunger that wasn’t exactly a familiar sensation for him. For once, he didn’t just want to get his dick wet courtesy of the first willing body – he wanted her. Specifically her.
“Not here,” he growled, drunk on booze and the intoxicating scent of her perfume, but not too drunk to register that they were too close to the main door to avoid an audience for long. And he wasn’t okay with that, not with her.
Making it to his dorm room was something of a blur though, as if the world flipped into fast forward, only to grind back down to slow motion when somehow she was under him on his bed in just tiny scraps of hot pink lace. He was pretty sure those delicate panties ripped in his big hands in his determination to get them off her, but he had to have her before she drove him out of his goddamn mind.
The groan he drew from her when his tongue plundered her wet heat went straight to his cock.
“Oh god, Happy…” she moaned, her short, neat nails raking over his shaved scalp and practically sending a shiver down his spine.
Part of him wanted to just eat her out until she screamed for mercy, but another part – the part of him that was achingly hard for her – needed something more. And it seemed that was what she wanted too, as instead of complaining when he pulled away, she simply lay there breathless and taking in the sight of his lean, inked torso while he retrieved a condom from the night-stand.
His hand curled lightly around her slim throat and, in one long, slow thrust, he buried himself to the hilt inside her, muttering dark curses at the feel of how tight she was around his throbbing cock.
“Happy…”
His name on her lips was practically a whine as her legs wrapped around his pistoning hips, her heels digging into the backs of his thighs and her hands reaching back to grip the headboard of the bed, stretching out her gloriously naked body for him.
“Fuck, yes,” she groaned, her laboured breath hot on his ear. “Harder…”
For once, Happy did as he was told.
The hand around her throat slipped downwards the fullness of her tits, cupping, squeezing the firm flesh, pinching her dusky nipples as he slowed the pace of his thrusts, wanting this to last if it was probably going to be the only chance he got.
She bit her lower lip, her head thrown back and her hips meeting his perfectly as she focused on chasing the orgasm that seemed to be brewing low in her belly.
“Happy, please…” she ground out, one hand leaving the headboard to trail down her own stomach and between her legs, her fingers grazing his slick cock as it slipped in and out of her, before finding the tiny bundle of nerves they had been seeking out.
He only let her rub frantically at her clit for a second, then firmly gripped her wrist and drew her hand away, guiding it back to the headboard with a glare and a shake of his head. If she wanted to cum, he didn’t need any fucking help getting her there.
The biker picked up the pace again, slamming into her hard and fast as she cried out in pleasure, her eyes squeezing closed. His hand cupped her cheek at that, getting her attention.
“Look at me,” Happy demanded roughly, his own breathing getting ragged with his exertions.
Her eyes opened, meeting his and he swallowed hard, letting his thumb trace over her full lower lip, prompting her to gently suck on the digit. When his hand finally slipped away, it trailed down her body, over skin flushed and covered in tiny beads of sweat, and sought out her clit just as she had.
It was somehow too much and not enough all at once and her hips arched helplessly towards his, her thighs clenching and her body trembling as she cried out.
“Oh, Happy, fuck, fuck, fuck…” she all but sobbed. “I’m… I’m gonna cum… I’m… Oh, fuuuuuck!”
With a flare of masculine pride at the response he could induce in her, Happy held out for as long as he could, jaw clenched as he fucked her through the intensity of her orgasm. But the vise-like grip of her soaked pussy around his cock quickly won out and he soon came hard and with a roar that he muffled against her throat, before collapsing down on top of her.
“Jesus…” she sighed breathlessly, as he shifted his weight off her to lie on his back by her side, trying to get his breath back and dashing sweat from his brow with his forearm.
Neither of them spoke. Nothing that came to Happy’s tongue seemed right and the silence soon stretched out between them uncomfortably, even as his brain berated him and told him he was in danger of completely fucking up whatever the hell had just happened.
Sure enough, she started to shift away from him, awkwardness creeping in and, despite what had just transpired between them, making her wrap herself in the tangled sheets and clutch them to her chest.
“Uh, I guess you probably want me to go…” she said softly.
His head snapped towards her at that, but she already had her back to him and didn’t see the look on his face.
“It’s okay,” she continued, obviously not wanting to make the whole situation any more awkward than it had to be. “I’ve been around enough to know how it works, Hap.”
“Stay.”
His low voice was rougher than ever, more hesitant than he’d ever been about anything. He cleared his throat and tried again.
“Stay. Uh, please?”
She turned, wide-eyed. The Tacoma Killer didn’t say please.
“You… You don’t have to do this,” she tried hesitantly, trying to second-guess what was going on here. “One night, that’s the deal, right?”
He shrugged, feigning a casualness he really didn’t feel. “Doesn’t have to be.”
“So… not just one night?” she said, quiet and unsure, clearly mulling over what that might mean.
“Maybe just… night one?” Happy suggested, a rare little grin tugging at the corner of his mouth as he reached for her again. They could figure it out later.

Pitch Fanfiction: “The Pact”
I wrote this more like an epsiode. This is taken place after 2 months after Ginny’s Injury. After epsiode 1x10.
It was 6 am and Ginny was already up. It's hard to sleep given what today is. She hopped into a shower. She then threw on her bra, pair of leggings, a tank, and sweatshirt. She pulled her hair through her baseball cap and placed her headphones on. Baker left her hotel room for the stadium before most people got up. The clubhouse was quiet. It reminded her of when she first started at the Padres.
Ginny began with a warmup and stretched when Mike came in with two coffees.
“Please, hurt yourself before you even get back on the mound”, Mike teased. “Aww. Miss me already?”, Ginny teased back. She got up and went to grab a coffee when Mike slid it away. “What makes you think this for you? This for the doc, you need all the help you can”, he said. “Very funny. I really wouldn’t want to pitch if a mocha was the deciding factor”. All fun and games faded from Baker’s smile as when she remembered. Mike saw it, the fear.
“What if I’m not better? What if I can’t pitch?”, Ginny panicked. She put her hands on her forehead trying to focus her reality. “Look at me, Baker”, Mike said. Ginny turned around and got ready for a speech. “I’ve seen injuries and the worst thing you can do is doubt yourself. You made it through surgery, you made it through recovery, you can make it through this, but only if you keep your eye on the ball”, Mike explained. “You and you’re freaking speeches”, Ginny said. They shared a laugh and then hugged. “Seriously when those old kneecaps give out you should take up motivational speaking. “I’m sorry who is getting a physical test today”, Mike said. They shook hands and began to prep. Today Baker was being tested to see if she’s physically fit to pitch in the next game, the wildcard game.
The doctor came in along with Al and Oscar for the physical. There was running and weights and all the things the puts pitching together. Oscar ran out of nail to biteby the time they were ready to pitch. Mike set up at the backboard. He and Ginny looked eyes. She breathed according to his glare. It’s the same glare he gave her when Ginny had to go into surgery. The glare said, “Don’t worry”.
Ever since Ginny’s injury, Mike has been there. Probably for the first time in his life he was there for someone fully. Mike and Rachel didn’t end well. After their one night stand, Rachel went back to her fiance. She told him that it was a flunk, and that she was searching for something familiar, not forever. Usually Mike would find himself in a bender of booze and attention, but nothing seemed to matter when his friend was hurt.
Ginny stared down the line of the bullpen. She focused on the call sign. She started with a combo of fastballs. It was impressive enough when her fastball topped out in the high 80s, but with rehab and refined technique, Baker has reached the 90s. Fastballs weren’t the problem. When Mike called for her screwball, Ginny swallowed. She remembered the pain from her fingertips through her shoulder from that day. She remembered how Blip and Mike had to help her walk off the field because it was too painful. She remembered the one less inning that could have made history. Her chest started to tighten and her throat became sore. So she closed her eyes. Ginny held onto the ball. She felt in the stitches and the curves. She focused her two fingers and held on. As she opened her eyes heard clapping in the background. She saw her teammates cheering on, even the new rookies she hasn’t met. Ginny flared her nostrils and looked at Mike. She gave him a nod and went into a wind up……. One, two, three. She threw 5 strikes before the doctor called it. She had one more private physical before final word. Ginny bid her teammates goodbye for a bit. The doctor and Ginny went to the physical therapy room to finish up.
“Okay everything is looking good. I’m just going to examine your shoulders and back. Just tell me if you feel any pain”, said the doctor. Ginny lied on her stomach as the doctor worked her muscles. “Seems you have a lot of support”, said the doctor. “Um yeah”, said Ginny. “It’s a key to recovery especially considering”. “Considering what?”, Ginny asked. “Most of my patients, even the athletes don’t have the recovery time you do. Not to mention a very starting date”, the doctor said. “I don’t feel any pain”, Ginny said to appease the doctor. “That’s good. Could you sit up? Lift your arms in front of your hands”. Ginny did that and the doctor scratched down some notes. “Any tingling in the fingertips?” “No. I feel good”.
“I know you’re scared, but we want you to be better. Do you have support outside of work?”, she asked. “What do you mean?”, Ginny asked. “Here you have PT, managers, and teammates. But outside do you have family, friends?” That was a loaded question. Her mom and brother stood by her through the surgery. Evelyn and Blip practically adopted her and Mike…..well. She knows she has people, but sometimes when she goes home to her hotel, she can’t help but feel like a burden.
“Yeah I have friends. I have support”, Ginny said. “Your pain response is good. Your arm looks good and you have a good support system”, the doctor began. Ginny’s face lit up as the doctor began to speak. “And because your scans showed repair. I’m clearing you to pitch with a required physical after your first game. You still had a rushed recovery time so we will revisit after the game”, said the doctor. Ginny was already a glowing star because she was pitching in the wild card game. She went to the clubhouse where they all were waiting. As she entered the room, everyone had their eyes on her. She was quiet for a second. “What are you all looking at? We have a game to win”.

Ginny was staying with Evelyn and the kids. Blip was hanging out with the guys after watching the kids all week. After Evelyn lost the restaurant, Blip and Evelyn decided that they needed to be each other in their marriage. Evelyn had started going back to school and Blip started being home. Actually Ginny helped watch the kids as they went to couples therapy. Even Mike helped out.
“I’m just saying I know that your minors gutter years were bad, but I would trade it all for never seeing a reference page again”, Evelyn said. “But are you happy with going back? With no having another kid”, Ginny asked. “I am. It’s the most me I’ve felt in awhile. I don’t regret being there for Blip, but I regret not being there for me. Can't just keep living away your pride because there will be none left when you need it”.
“Yeah I feel that sometimes”. Ginny played with her popcorn while Evelyn nestled with her wine. Evelyn looked at Ginny waiting for more explanation. “Before the injury, it just felt like I had to be Ginny Baker for everyone. For every little girl that wanted to play professional sports. I think being injured helps reset more than my arm. I feel like I can breath”, Ginny explained. “Speaking of resetting. Have you spoken to Amelia?” Ginny rolled her eyes at Evelyn’s prying. “You don’t even like her!”, Ginny said. “Hey, she kept from getting into a con deal. Does it have boundary issues? Yes. Was she good at her job? Notice how the press didn’t watch you during surgery. Amelia scared them off from across the country, I’m just saying”, Evelyn explained. “I didn’t know that”. Amelia left San Diego after her and Ginny fought. She returned back east to New York. She hasn’t taken any clients since, not that she hasn’t had beggars.
“Maybe it’s time to bury the hatchet”. Ginny did owe a lot to Amelia and things have changed. “I’ll think about it”, Ginny said. The doorbell rang. “Pizza!” Ginny got up and went to the door to pay for the pizza. She opened the door and there was a camera flash coming at her face. A photographer tried getting inside. Ginny closed the door and locked it. “Okay I’ll call her later”, said Ginny.

Today is the day. Today the Padres have the chance to make history by making it into the World Series. Everyone was in the clubhouse by sunrise. Oscar probably never left the stadium. Not only being in a wildcard game, but it also being at home puts the pressure on. Ginny was pitching in the bullpen when Duartve came in to catch. “Welcome back, mami”, he said while gearing up. “Good to be back”, Ginny said. “Let’s see what you can do”. Duarte setup for the pitch. Ginny went into the windup and let out the pitch. “Wow. Looks like someone found a fastball”, he said. “Really?” “No. But it’s better”. Ginny sarcastically laughed the very back hand compliment as she finished her warmup. “Are you catching today?”, Ginny asked. “Relax. Wouldn’t want to break but the Bawson dream team”. “Bawson? Did you come with that all by yourself?” Ginny asked. “It’s what all the blogs are calling your guys”. “Oh, great”. Ginny and Duarte go back to the clubhouse. Ginny went and checked her phone in her dressing room. Amelia had texted her back:
I’ll be in town tomorrow for business. We can grab lunch.
Ginny put her phone away and focused on what’s at hand. She pulled off her hat and her hair tie. She used her finger to combs through her sweaty curls. She twisted her hair into a ponytail and put it through her hand. Ginny left her dressing room and entered into hyping in the clubhouse. She greeted Blip who was chugging gatorade number five. “Be careful you’re exploding out there”, Ginny said. Blip squirt the bottle towards her as Mike joined the conversation. “Ok so where is the speech?”, said Ginny. “Believe it or not I don’t always have something to say. I’m new to this as you are a rookie”, Mike snapped. “Man, chill”, said Blip patting her friend on the back. Mike was more than worried. This probably his last chance to make it into the world series. He felt as if his entire career was flashing before his eyes. Mike got up and knocked the hair behind him. He stormed out of the clubhouse holding the attention of the room. “What’s up with him?”, Blip asked Ginny. “Nerves?”, Ginny suggested. “Uh Ginny. Sorry to break it to you, but you're the nerves wreck of the Padres. That’s something more”, Blip said. Ginny rolled her eyes and such as a comment, but accepted the truth behind it. Ginny went after Mike because his behavior was definitely not normal. She found him in a PT room with his head resting on a wall. “Mike, are you okay?”, Ginny asked in a concerned voice. Mike turned from the wall and faced Ginny. “Just needed a minute”. Mike whipped her face and put his hate back on. “Come on. Something’s bothering you”. Mike exhaled while avoiding eye contact. “It’s nothing,'' Mike said, avoiding himself. “If it’s nothing then tell me”, Ginny said. She didn't let Mike leave with whatever was going on. “This is it for me”, Mike said. Ginny looked at him, listening. “This probably my last chance to get a ring for the Padres. What if I have nothing to show for it? I mean I’ve already failed once”, Mike said. Ginny had this familiar feeling on the day of her first start. “That pit in your stomach where it feels all your hard work and potential seem to drain into, that’s everything else. That’s everyone else telling what this is to you when you need to be doing for yourself too. A great man told me that. Same one who’s led the Padres the closest it’s been to the World Series in a decade”, Ginny said. Mike smiled at Ginny’s speech. “Trying to make me feel old, rookie”, Mike joked. “Shut up and get moving. We have a game to win”. They hugged and went off to the game
* * *
The Padres and Memphis Redbird were tied in the 11th inning. Ginny was starting her 3 innings with no hits on her. SHoulder feeling good, but her stomach turned as the hitter came up to the plate. She had thrown multiple screwballs. She didn’t know what to do next. If buffing was the way to go or not, but she knew this was it. Mike called timeout and walked up to the mound. Al joined him. “You need to throw the fastball”, Mike said. “What?”, both Ginny and Al said. “This hitter will throw your screwgie, but you’ve haven’t used a fastball yet”. Ginny held her mit up to hide the extreme worry on her face. “You have to trust me”, Mike pleaded. Al nodded in agreement. Ginny, though hesitant, nodded to. She took the ball as Mike went back to setup. Ginny took in air as she went into a windup. She gripped the ball while looking at Mike. With every feeling in her arm, she threw the ball……
She didn’t hear anything. She couldn’t understand beyond the loud roar of the packed stadium. The moment when her team surrounded her, she knew. It was a 95, btw.
* * *
Celebration was an understatement. It started with an entire club being rented out, a certain musical guest, and a stolen disco ball. Most of the night is probably a flip book on social media and the morning news. At some point, it was utterly stupid to stay out. Mike and Ginny had tossed Blip into a cab and notified Evelyn of the incoming comatose package. “Are you gonna grab a cab?”, Mike asked. “I’m just gonna walk. The hotel is not far”, Ginny said. “You really need to get an apartment”, Mike said. “I like living near the stadium plus you never know when you’ll get traded”, Ginny said in her slightly tipsed state. “I think you’re safe for now. Come on, I’ll walk you home”.
The walk home definitely seemed a lot more fun when tipsy and winner. Ginny invited Mike up for a drink after they got to the hotel. They got to Ginny’s room. She dropped her jacket on the chair and went to grab drinks. “Water”, Mike said. “Got it”. Mike has been at Ginny’s place before, but something felt different. Maybe because they were alone, maybe because it was reaching the early morning hours, or maybe it was the way he noticed her fall onto her shoulder when she took out her hair tie. She handed him a bottle of water. “That call you made about the fastball, genius. I sure as hell didn’t think it would work, but you did”, Ginny said. Her drunkenness was definitely a factor in her sharing and the beer in her hand wasn’t helping. “It’s my job”, he said without any ego attached. “Hey I want to ask you a question. Before the game you said, you already failed once. What did you mean?”, Ginny asked. “It’s nothing really”, Mike deflected again. “Then tell me”. He took a large sip of his water as if it was liquid courage. He wouldn’t look at Ginny. He couldn’t look at her and lied. She took a sit on the couch next to him making it harder for him to deflect. Then he looked at her. “Your arm. That game. Before your injury, Al and Oscar asked if I should shut you down and I said know. Somehow Blip knew. He knew you’d push yourself too far, but I encouraged it”, Mike admitted. Ginny put the bottle down on the table, probably showing she was serious. “There was nothing you could do”, Ginny said. “But I”- “There was nothing you did”, Ginny interrupted. She looked Mike in the eyes to emphasize her point. “Look, I may be a rookie, but I’m not a kid. Even if you needed to shut me down I would have found a way to pitch. It was my choice, not your fault”, Ginny explained. There was something different about being there. Ginny leaned towards Mike and they kissed. Starting with a peck, it got deeper. Mike held onto Ginny’s waist as she pushed his jacket off. They fell back onto the couch. At first they laughed and continued making out. A second passed when something felt different to Mike. He slowly pulled away from Ginny. She seemed concerned and then uncomfortable. “Sorry”, he said sitting up. “Um. It’s fine I get it”, Ginny said scurrying to get up. She felt her embarrassment flush in her stomach with disgust for both herself and Mike, but mostly what just happened. “Ginny, wait”.
“There’s nothing to wait for”, Ginny said standing up from the couch. “Would just listen to me for a second?”, Mike snapped. Ginny stood still and looked at him. “I don’t know what that was, but I know that wasn’t insignificant”, Mike began. Ginny crossed her arms while feeling a little naked from what nearly happened. “That didn’t feel casual and right now, that can’t happen”, Mike said with fear in his eyes. “What are you talking about?”, GInny said. “You’ve always been bigger than the game and right now, we are bigger than just us. I’ve been working for the chance at the World Series for forever and so have the Padres. I don’t want to ruin those chances or our relationship”, Mike explained. Ginny understood where he was coming from. Their pairing in public or private would present challenges, but the familiar of a guy trying to protect her didn’t sit well. “I get that and I want to win. It’s literally what my life has been, but living for someone or something else without thinking of yourself isn’t a way to live”, Ginny said. “Okay, you really need to stop with”.
“I thought you loved hearing your words”, Ginny teased. Mike laughed. Ginny sat down on the table across from Mike. “How about this? We got out, we won, and if we find ourselves in this position again. We let go?”, Ginny said. Mike looked at Ginny and nodded. He knew something was different and he knew as he hugged Ginny goodbye. It was different because it meant something, but felt different from when he met his ex-wife. They let go of each other and stood up. “I should go”. Mike grabbed his jacket and Ginny walked him towards the door. For a second they held hands, but let go as Mike opened the door. As he opened the door, Amelia stood in the hallway.
Tell me if you guys want me to continue this storyline. Let me know what you think about int comments.

SUMMARY: Reader isn’t sure how to tell Thor how she feels, so she decides buying him something for Valentine’s Day will do the trick.
Hearts filled every available space in the kitchen, their round edges plump and pink like puckered lips waiting for a kiss. On the center of the island sat a poorly painted ceramic heart twice the size of a watermelon. Instead of pink, it was an angry red like blood, which was ironic to say the least. I pictured a giant somewhere clutching its gaping chest, wondering why someone would steal its most vital organ and use it as a cheap Valentine’s Day decoration.
“What is this?” I asked Tony. He faltered on the ladder propped against the sink. He was holding a ribbon, but he let it fall when he turned; gravity slowed as the fabric drifted toward the garbage disposal.
“Uh, Pepper said I don’t take Valentine’s Day seriously, so I figured I’d surprise her,” he shrugged, eyeing his handy work. Honestly, it looked like a convenience store holiday sales pitch threw up all over the place, but Tony looked a little too proud for me to burst his bubble, so I nodded and gave him a weak smile.
“You did...good.” I could’ve sworn I’d bitten a hole in my tongue trying to keep my thoughts to myself. I glanced down at my jeans to make sure they hadn’t caught fire. Surprisingly, they were the same faded blue as before.
“I know,” said Tony, and it’s the exact thing I was expecting to come out of his mouth because Tony loves himself too much to be imperfect.
I changed the subject. “Have you seen Thor?” I leave out why I’m looking for him; there’s no way in hell I’d give Tony a reason to talk shit. In my bedroom was a gift, something only meant for Thor and no one else. Amongst the Avengers, I’m better known for my lack of “understanding” and “compassion” and my “inability to connect with others.” So I stuck to the minimal questions and prayed that Tony did in fact know where Thor was.
“He’s training. You know, working on the big guns? Trying to...get that bread?”
“You’ve been hanging out with Peter haven’t you?”
“That’s none of your business.”
And like almost every other conversation Tony and I have had, it ended as soon as it began. I took two of Nat’s special shakes (a whole lot of vodka with a smidge of orange juice) out of the fridge and started heading toward the elevator. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the only one going down. One awkward ride with a newbie agent and a couple of swigs of one of Nat’s shakes later, I was stepping out onto the third floor. Across from the elevator was a giant wall of glass. Through the wall, I could see Thor going at it with an innocent punching bag. His black tank top was soaked through with sweat, and his standard grey shorts were hanging low on his waist. There was something about seeing Thor in anything other than his traditional Asgardian armour that always threw me for a loop. Not that he looked bad, he just looked off.
If I let my mind wander a bit I could almost imagine he was just another dumb jock, but I knew that wasn’t true. Though he looked like the average American football star and sometimes acted like an imcompetent child, he was smart. And strong. And brave.
And incredibly attractive.
I mean, he could turn any room full of women into the Atlantic.
I banged on the glass with my fist and watched as Thor nearly jumped out of his skin. “Hey, thunder. I brought booze!” I threw open the door and stepped into the gym. Thor met me halfway with a bone crushing hug; he smelled awful but I wasn’t going to complain. Being in his arms felt like literal heaven, all safe and warm and comfortable like nothing in the world could touch us as long as we stayed right where we were.
He pulled away, and my body immediately went cold. He took one of the shakes from my hand and shook his head.
“Dear friend, how many times must I remind you your Midgardian booze is like water to me?” he scolded, but he was smiling and so was I.
“So does that mean you don’t want to drink with me anymore?”
“Absolutely not.”
“Good. You’re literally the only person here I can drink with without me having to become someone’s babysitter.” Flashes of Clint attempting to shoot a fire hydrant with an arrow passed through my mind. I could practically hear Natasha now swearing on her life that she was the best at hide-n-seek; I’d spent half the night trying to find her. She’d been in one of the washing machines in the basement the whole time.
Thor’s booming laugh shook me out of my reverie. “I assure you a man of my nature needs no babysitter.”
“That’s good to know, Thor,” I said. “But, anyways, I actually came here to tell you I have something for you.”
One of Thor’s brows lifted as he took a sip of his shake. “A gift? What is the occasion?”
Fuck. I didn’t even take into consideration that he might not have understood earth holidays. Why, oh why, did I think this was a good idea? This is a perfect example of why I’m an Avenger and not a teacher.
“Well,” I started but had to stop and take a deep breath. “On earth we do this thing called Valentine’s Day where we sort of give gifts to the people we care about.”
“Ah, I see. Forgive me, but I did not get anyone anything.”
I peeled my eyes away from the floor to look up at Thor. He was frowning, the space between his brows pulled together.
“No, you’re fine,” I assured him. “Normally, people give people gifts on Valentine’s Day because they-well, they- uhm, they...maybesortofhaveamajorcrushonthem.” The last part came out in a rush, and I somewhat hoped Thor hadn’t been able to make out what I’d said, but of course he did. He was a god.
“But you say you’ve gotten a gift for me. Does that mean-”
I didn’t give him a chance to finish before I began rambling on about how sorry I was for pushing my feelings on him and how it was totally okay if he didn’t feel the same and how I kept the receipt and could return the gift if he didn’t want it. By that point, my face was the color of a ripe tomato and my hands were trembling. I hadn’t realized Thor was only a few inches away until he leaned down and pressed his lips against mine. My mind went into autopilot.
The walls began to melt and the dumbbells on the rack behind me were turning white and all the colors were melding together to form one big ball of blinding light and my body was on fire and I couldn’t feel my toes. Hands were in my hair, but I could barely register what was happening because my heart was thumping in my chest louder than I could handle and I couldn’t focus. My lips moved against his like petals desperate for rain. Somewhere outside thunder roared in the sky. Whether from the storm brewing in my chest or an actual storm, I would never know, but I wanted to drown in it and never come up for air because this was heaven.
All too soon Thor pulled away. His fingers were still tangled in my hair; he pulled my forehead to his, and I let him because I couldn’t bear not having a part of him not touching a part of me.
“Don’t apologize,” he whispered. I had no idea what I’d apologized for, but I nodded my head and promised I wouldn’t do it again.
He carefully moved his hand to my waist and smiled.
“I’d like to see this gift if that’s alright with you.”
I wanted to stay still. To press my thumb to my lips to hold his kiss in place. But Thor was tugging me toward the exit and into the elevator, and before I knew it, we were standing at the end of my bed and I was handing him the small, black box that I’d picked out two days ago.
He took the necklace out of the box and slipped it around his neck, the silver lightning bolt charm brushing against his chest.
As I stand here now in my white dress while Thor lifts the veil away from my face, I can’t help but look at that charm and remember that Valentine’s Day and that kiss and that fluttering feeling in my heart that I know will never go away.
I thank my lucky stars for those few sips of Nat’s shake I had in the elevator and say, “I do.”

Bloody Beauty I
The music was pumping loudly at Buddies. The air was stale with bad perfume and spilled drinks; and my top was too tight. “Lolita!”, Raul called after me. “Your friends are back”. I took a deep breath, and put on my fakest grin; walking towards the two men at the end of the bar. “Hi, boys, what can I get you?”, I asked.
The two men were both already deep into their third beers. They were both wearing flannel shirts over t-shirts – a painful reminder of some good friends I hadn’t seen in a long time. One of them, I’d never see again.
The taller of the men – ironically enough a brunette with shaggy hair – smirked at me. “Well, your number would be a good start”, he jeered. I grimaced apologetically. “Sorry, buddy. We have a strict don’t date the costumer’s policy in this place”. He frowned at me. “Really?”, he asked. “Nope…”, I said. “It’s just me. Now what’ll you have?”. The shorter of the two laughed. “Another pair of cold ones, honey”, he smiled. I walked away. Honey. The word made me cringe.
I walked back towards Raul, who was bending over to grab some ciders from the fridge behind the bar. I patted his firm butt. “Grab me a couple of cold one’s. And make them warm”. He chuckled, and rubbed the spot my hand had hit. “That’s gonna leave a mark, Lulu”, he grinned; and handed me two beers from a crate beside the fridge. “You’ll have to explain that to Justin”. I furrowed my brows. “What happened to Mark?”, I asked. Raul stood up and frowned at me. “His wife found out”. “Ouch…”, I winced. “Sorry”. Raul shrugged. “It’s fine. He always cried during…”. “I don’t want to know!”, I laughed.
I walked back to my admirers, and put the beers down in front of them, taking the empty ones, and the 10-dollar bill they handed me. “Seriously though, Lulu”, the tall one said. “I’d really just like to get to know you. You seem…”. “I’m going now”, I said, and walked away.
A group of sorority girls with very fake id’s, were trying to flirt with Raul to get him to change the playlist. “Sorry ladies, I’m not in charge of it. You’ll have to talk to Lulu over there”, he smiled, and gestured towards me. I rolled my eyes. “Just let them. We’ll never hear the end of it”.
The group of girls squealed in delight. “Ok, what’s the song?”, Raul said; and a busty blonde leaned across the bar to whisper in his ear. He grinned. “Retro… I like it!”. He came over to where I was standing by the music system’s computer. “I can’t believe you let them do that”, he smiled. “You’re gonna hate their song”. “Why?”, I asked. “You’re in to all that classic rock stuff”, he replied.
He clicked around on the computer for a moment; when suddenly a soft guitar began playing out the speakers. I swallowed hard. “Lying in your arms, so close together. Didn't know just what I had. Now I toss and turn, ‘cause I'm without you. How I'm missing you so bad”. I swallowed hard – feeling like someone punched me in the chest. “Yeah, I hate it. I’m gonna step outside for a moment”, I muttered. He put a hand on my shoulder. “Are you ok, Lolita?”, he asked. I nodded. “Yeah…”, I said. “Just need air”.
I took off my apron, and passed the dancing sorority girls; who were singing along – very badly – to the song. “I lie awake. I drive myself crazy, drive myself crazy – thinking of you”. I hadn’t been laying awake lately. I’d been sleeping just fine, without any nightmares where I was killing people; and it was all due to – in part – a man I’d met, fallen for; and lost – all in just three days.
The air outside was chilly and refreshing. A few people where stood around smoking and laughing. It was Friday evening after all, and Denver had enough colleges to fill any bar with students willing to pay for overprized booze. I stood for a while, taking a few deep breaths of the night air, before regaining my senses, and stepping back inside.
Passing a table of frat boys; I felt a hand on my ass. I reached back, and grabbed the thumb of the hand; bending it backwards. “Ow! What the hell, lady?”, the man who’d made unwelcome grasp for my butt yelped. Raul came up next to me, in all his bodybuilding glory. “Get out”, he said menacingly. “Now!”. The guys at the table grumbled, but got up to leave. “I’ll have my dad’s lawyer call you!”, the grabber sneered – his blue eyes ablaze with rage. I smirked. “Go ahead. I don’t have a penny he can take, anyway”.
Raul put an arm around me, and led me back behind the bar. “You know, you pinch my butt all the time”, he muttered. “I thought we had an understanding”, I said. “I’ll stop”. Raul grinned. “Nah, go ahead. Reminds me why I’m in to men”. “Ouch!”, I winced, and slapped his butt hard. “Thanks for teaching me that trick, by the way”.
The evening turned into night, and a makeshift dancefloor was created by the sorority girls – as they began moving around tables. I groaned internally as they once again went up to Raul, to get him to change the music. At least they’d moved on to something a little closer to my taste; as Celebrity Skin began blasting. I poured myself a shot of whiskey, and downed it. “Is it dancing time yet, Lolita?”, Raul yelled at me. “You know it is!”, I grinned, and climbed onto the bar, as my laughing friend began moving bottles around for me to be able to move. “Hey, so glad you could make it. Yeah, now you’ve really made it. Hey, there’s only us left now!”, I screamed along; while dancing around on the bar counter; and sending winks at the screaming girls, who were whooping at me. The blonde was clapping her hands at me, and threw up her arms – almost knocking over her friend’s drink. The friend, who seemed to have perfect skin – I was constantly in awe of how these college girls could afford facials – looked at the blonde in annoyance for a second. “Shots for the ladies, Raul!”, I yelled; and the bartender poured a round of our cheapest booze into some shot glasses, handing them over to the squealing girls. I downed one myself; before stumbling, and nearly falling off the bar.
Raul helped me down, and gave me a hug. “You feeling better?”. “Yeah”, I grinned. “Good, ‘cuz the table in the corner needs drinks”, he smiled, and handed me two cold Buds. I frowned. “No more dancing, girls”, I said to the sorority sisters. “Gotta do my job now”. They frowned right back at me; as I walked away.
In the deepest, darkest corner of the bar – only lit up by a single bulb hanging over it, sat two men, deep in conversation. They were both wearing flannels, and I sighed. “I thought I just got you drinks”, I said; facing the two men – and instantly dropped the beers on the floor.
“You’re dead…”, I breathed, and stepped backwards, away from the broken glass at my feet. Dean Winchester looked at me with wide eyes. “Lou?”, he croaked. I looked at the other man – his brother, Sam. “You told me… Dean was…”. I shook my head, and quickly walked away from the table, and out the back door – into the alleyway behind it.
I heard the door open and close behind me. “Lulu… I’m sorry”, Sam was saying. Dean was standing just behind him. “How long?”. He looked down. “How long, Sam?”, I growled. “9 months”, he admitted. “9 months… ok”. I took a deep breath and walked over to the tall man – smacking him hard across the face. Sam stumbled backwards.
Dean stepped forward. “Lou, it wasn’t…”. I stepped over to him, and gave him the same treatment. “You…! Don’t talk right now”. I turned back to Sam. “We spent a week together, Sam”, I said. Dean frowned, and looked at his brother. “I know”, Sam muttered. “You saw me! I was… Oh my god…”. I began heaving for breath.
Dean ran over to me, and put a hand on my back. “Are you ok?”, he asked. “Don’t touch me”, I snarled, and shrugged him off.
Raul came running outside. He’d taken off his shirt, and was standing in only his tank top – showing off every rip of muscle he had. “Is everything ok here?”, he snarled. I simultaneously nodded and shook my head. “Yes… no”, I said. “You guys should probably leave now”, Raul said, and stepped between me and Dean. Dean visibly tensed up.
I grabbed the bartender’s hand. “It’s fine, Raul”, I muttered. “They’re old… friends”. He looked at me, narrowing his eyes. “Do you usually run away from friends, Lolita?”. Lolita?, Dean mouthed. “Really, I’m ok…”, I said. “Just go… get them fresh beers. They’re paying costumers after all”. “Sure, mami?”, Raul asked. I nodded. Raul gave Dean one last look, and went back inside.
I looked up at the brothers. “You two… go back inside”, I said. “Have your drinks. Then leave. And don’t come back”. “We can leave right now…”, Dean growled. “We can’t…”, Sam muttered. “We have a case”. “Of course you do”, I sighed.
I went back inside; and when I looked over my shoulders, I saw the brothers go back to their table. Behind the bar, Raul gave me a concerned look, as I poured myself another shot, and downed it. I changed the music again; putting on Call Me by Blondie. “How are those drinks coming?”, I asked Raul. “You want me to spit in them?”, he asked. “No… Those two have enough problems as it is”. I grabbed the beers, and walked back to the table.
“Are you trying to tell us something?”, Sam asked. Dean wouldn’t look at me. “What?”, I sneered. “The music?”. Sam tried for a smile. I put the beers down hard on the table. “Enjoy”, I grinned as fake as I could; and walked away.
About an hour later Dean and Sam still hadn’t left – and I wasn’t sure I actually wanted them to leave either. I was well into my sixth shot, and second beer; and Raul was doing his best to keep my spirit up. “So… he kissed you. Then told you he was dying… And now he’s back? What a dick!”. I nodded. “I know, right?”, I yelled over the music. “He’s kind of hot, though”, Raul said. I sighed. “I know”, I admitted. “Did you two…?”. I shook my head. “I think he’s impotent”, I said.
I was getting quite drunk at this point; and when Bad Medicine came on, I once again climbed on to the bar – trying to dance my worries away. I noticed Dean had moved towards the bar to grab a new round for him and Sam; but I did my best to ignore him “Shake it up, just like Bad Medicine!”. I was shaking with the best of them; when I saw the busty sorority blonde sending Dean eyes, and walking over to him. He gave her a warm smile, when she put her hand on his chest. I crouched in front of the pair; and looked down at them. “Sweetie… been there, done that. Got the clap”. The girl winced, and quickly retreated.
Dean looked up at me, narrowing his eyes. “Thanks for that…”, he grunted. “Bon Jovi now?”. “A very underestimated band”, I smiled. “Why are you still here?”. “Paying costumer… cute bartenders”, he smirked. I smiled. “Yeah I know. Raul is hot!”. I winked at my friend, who blew me a kiss and winked back at me. “Boyfriend?”, Dean asked – trying to hide the distaste in his voice. I shrugged. “He’s a boy who’s a friend”. “Huh”, Dean grunted. “Another round, please”, he said, and held out a twenty. I grabbed the note, and stood up. “Coming right up!”, I said, and went to step down from the bar; when I slipped, and fell forwards, right into Deans arms.
“Whoa, Lou. Bit sauced, aren’t we?”. He put me on my feet in front of him, and I tried to frown without giggling. “You’re still cute… but you’re a dick too. It’s not a good combination”. Dean shook his head. “Hey, boyfriend!”, he called towards Raul. “I’m gonna drive the lady home. You got a problem with that?”. “No you’re not”, I tried. “Yeah, I am”, Dean said, and gestured for Sam to come over.
Raul came over to look at me. “You good with that, Lulu?”, he asked. “Absolutely…”, I said; before looking at Dean. “Did I say not?”, I whispered. “Sure”, he muttered. “Ok, then…”.
“I’m gonna need your name, man”, Raul said. “Malcolm Young. You want my social security too?”, Dean grumbled; still trying to keep me upright. I patted his cheek and laughed. “No, you’re not! You’re John Osbourne…”, I said. Raul frowned. Dean sighed. “Alias. We’re FBI”. Sam had come over to join us, and they both held up some badges.
“Hi, Sam!”, I said. “You’re here too!”. Sam stifled a grin. “What did she drink?”, he asked. “Wheee… skey”, I laughed, before looking seriously at Raul. “Going with these men would be a very bad idea, Raul”. “They’re feds”, Raul shrugged. I nodded fiercely. “Yes… fed hunters… feddy hunters”. I sighed deeply. “I love you, Raul”.
My friend looked at Sam, who gave his best impression of a very trustworthy man. “Ok, Lulu. Just call me tomorrow, ok?”. “Yes!”, I smiled. “I shall absolutely use my telephone to dial your number, and communicate with you”. Raul laughed, handed Sam my phone, and went back to serve some patrons.
Dean began leading me towards the door. “Wait… what’s happening?”, I asked. “I’m taking you home”, Dean said. “No, you absolutely are not”, I said; trying to push him off me. “Yes, I am. You can hardly stand”. “Can hardly stand you!”, I said. “Hey. I’m funny. Hi Sam!”. I grinned at the younger brother again. “Hi Lulu. Why don’t you give us your address…”. I shook my head. “Nope. Not happening”, I said. “But come here, and I’ll whisper it”.
Same came up close to me and Dean, and leaned his head down to my mouth to listen. “I drive myself crazy, drive myself crazy – thinking of you!”, I sang loudly into his ear. Dean frowned. “Ok, let’s just go”. In a swift move, he pulled me over his shoulder, so my head was upside down, looking at his backside. “Sir, has anyone ever told you that you have a nice butt?”, I laughed.
Dean carried me towards the door; and Sam opened it for us. I began slapping Deans bottom. “I can walk, Mr. Osbourne!”, I yelled, before pocking at one of his butt cheeks through his jeans. “It’s also very firm”.
I was transported over to the black Impala, and deposited in the backseat. “This car doesn’t have seatbelts. That’s not very safe”. “I won’t tell, if you don’t”, Dean grunted. “Sam get in the back with her, so she doesn’t try to get out”. “I’m being kidnapped!”, I giggled; and leaned against Sam as he entered the car next to me. I poked at his chest. “You’re also very firm. But Dean has nice eyes. I like his eyes. Do you like his eyes?”. Dean got in the driver’s seat, and looked at us in the mirror. “See? Nice eyes…”, I breathed. “Yes, Dean has… nice eyes”, Sam smiled.
I sighed, as Dean started up the car; and drove us down the road. “But he broke my heart… did you know that?”, I said. Deans eyes met mine in the mirror. They were pained.
Then everything went dark.
---
I woke up in a bed that wasn’t mine. My mouth felt like it was full of cotton; and I blinked a few times. The room was brightly colored, in turquoise shades; hurting my eyes.
“Good morning, Coyote Ugly”, a dark voice said. I looked in the direction of the voice. Dean was looking at me, from where he was seated in a chair by a table. “I don’t live here…”, I croaked. “No… We do. For now”. “This is your motel?”, I asked. “Yup”, he said, and came over to me; holding out a glass of some rancid smelling liquid. “Hair of the dog?”. I sat up. “What is that?” Dean shrugged. “Alka-Seltzer; Gatorade; a crushed-up Advil – and some charcoal”. He put the glass on the bedside table. “Trust me. It works. Cured my case of the clap”.
I groaned. “Sorry… I guess I said a lot of things last night; up until I blacked out”. “And after”, Dean muttered. I frowned, and grabbed the glass; holding my nose as I drank it. “That is… vile”, I said. “Sam’s getting coffee. Should take away the taste”, Dean said. I sighed. “Right… Sam”. “Yeah. You remember… the guy with the firm chest?”, Dean smirked. I shook my head. “Please, don’t… I’m already embarrassed enough as it is”.
Dean nodded. “You should call your boyfriend”, he muttered. I looked down. “He’s not my boyfriend”, I said quietly. Dean gave me a cold look. “Whatever. Your manfriend, then”.
Dean sat down, and began rifling through some papers – looking out the corner of his eye at me. “How are you feeling”, he said, before clearing his throat. I looked under the covers. “Well, I’m still wearing pants… so that’s an upside”. “You thought we’d undress you?”, Dean frowned. “I don’t know… there are a lot of things I thought you wouldn’t do…”. “Like what?”, He asked. I shrugged. “Come back from the dead, comes to mind”. Dean clenched his jaw. “About that…”.
The door opened. “I got the coffee. She awake?”. Sam stepped inside, and saw me sitting upright. “Great! And no one’s dead yet. That’s good”. “I wouldn’t kill her”, Dean muttered. “She might kill you… and me”, Sam retorted. I narrowed my eyes at the man. “I’m still considering it”, I muttered. “You could drop me off at my place. I could get Dean’s gun…”. Dean threw up his hands in the air. “So that’s where it is”, he said exasperatedly. “Thanks for telling me, Sammy!”. “You said you didn’t want to… you know”, Sam said quietly, nodding his head in my direction. I got out of the bed. “Didn’t want to what?”, I asked. “Nothing”, Dean grunted.
Sam handed me a donut. “Breakfast?”, his voice broke. I shook my head. “Where’s my purse? I need my phone”. Sam handed me my phone. “Your purse is probably still at the bar”, he muttered. “Sorry. We were in a rush”. “I could tell”, I said; dialing up Raul.
“Hola, Lolita!”, his cheery voice rang through. “Threesome go well?”. “No… nothing like that”, I muttered. “Those guys were smoking… too bad. But you’re alive and well”, he said. “I am”, I said. “I have your purse, mami. Give it to you at the bar later?”. “No, babe. I need it now”.
Dean looked up at me, and frowned.
“Right, your keys. You probably need a shower”, Raul said. “Can I come over?”, I asked. “I… have a guest”, Raul said. “Handsy guy turned out to be showing off for his friends… he apparently prefers beards over breasts”, Raul chuckled. “I’ll be right there, baby”, he called to someone in the back. “That sounds… hot”, I grinned.
Dean cleared his throat, and took a deep sip of his coffee. I met his eyes, and couldn’t help but smile. Sam was seemingly pretending like he wasn’t even in the room.
“Raul, please…”, I pleaded. He sighed. “Ok, come over. Just gotta get rid of the hangaround. 30 minutes?”. “Yes. Thanks. See you then”. I hung up, and looked at Dean.
“Could you… maybe give me a ride? I need to get my purse from Raul”, I asked timidly. He stood up, and grabbed his keys from the table. “Sure…”, he muttered. We went towards the door. “Sammy, keep looking. There has to be something”. “Yeah”, Sam said. “It was good seeing you, Lulu”, he tried. I gave him a crooked smile. “I… wish I could say the same”, I whispered; and followed Dean out the door.
---
Giving Dean the address to Raul’s place; I got in the passenger seat next to him – and he drove us out of the motel parking lot. For a good while, we were quiet. Dean turned on the radio; probably trying to end the silence. “Bon Jovi?”, I muttered, as Livin’ on a Prayer began playing. “Rocks on occasion”, he grunted. “Sure does”, I said.
He gazed over at me for a second. “How have you been?”, he asked. “You really wanna know?”, I croaked. He shrugged. “Sure… You seem like you’re doing ok. But no more teaching?”. I smiled. “Couldn’t face dealing with another nightmare-inducing principal”. He chuckled. “I get that”, he said. “So, no more nightmares?”. Save for the one where you leave me, and never come back, I thought. “No”, I lied. “Just the usual… Naked in the middle of a busy street… clowns… that sort of thing”. He nodded. “You naked isn’t my idea of a nightmare, but ok…”.
“Don’t…”, I whispered. He clenched his jaw. “Sorry”, he said, eyes focused on the road. “I guess I didn’t realize…”. “Yes, you did”, I rasped. “That’s why you left before we could get serious. At least that’s what you said, then”. “Meant it”, he grunted. “Yeah?”, I rasped. “Then why didn’t you let me know? Or have Sam let me know?”. The front seat of the Impala suddenly seemed very broad; like there was a mile between us.
Dean swallowed hard. “That place I came back from…”, he began. “So you did come back? You didn’t just ditch me, and pretend to die?”. He looked angrily at me. “Would you let me finish?”, he growled. “And besides, Sam came to see you when I died, didn’t he? You were together… a week, right?”. I let out a scoffing breath. “You think… that’s why you were so short with him”. Dean didn’t answer. “Dean… Sam and me…”. “I don’t wanna hear it, Lou”, he grunted.
I controlled myself; before glaring at him. “Sam showed up at my apartment, a week after you died”, I said. “I said, I don’t…”, he tried. “You’re going to!”, I snarled. “He was a mess – and so was I. We spent a week taking turns getting drunk and crying. When he slept, I watched over him, and vice versa. I was heartbroken, Dean! And so was he…”. Dean looked at me from the corner of his eye. “But we never… That wasn’t even a… no”. In the end, my voice broke, and a tear betrayed me – slipping down my cheek. I quickly dried it away. “Sorry”, Dean muttered. “We’re here”, I whispered; and gestured at Raul’s building.
Dean pulled over, and I got out of the car. Before I closed the door to the Impala, I looked at him. “I remember what I said last night”, I said. “That you broke my heart… And you did. Twice. First, when you left me like you did – after everything that happened… The second time was when I found out that you’d lied”. He frowned. “When did I lie?”. “When you told me what we had was real”, I croaked. “If it was, you would have let me know”.
I closed the car door; and walked away – rushing to get inside the building. I ran up the stairs; and knocked on Raul’s door. He opened within seconds. “Hey, Lolita!”, he grinned; wearing nothing but a pair of sweatpants. He looked at my face, and instantly frowned. “What happened?”. “Nothing”, I croaked.
Raul threw his arms around me, and I buried my face in his chest. “Oh, mami. I’m so sorry”, he whispered into my hair. “I’m so, so sorry…”. I held on tightly to him.
“Lulu!”, someone called from behind me. Turned my face away from Raul’s chest, and saw Dean – lips parted, and eyes sad – before his expression turned sour. “Just… wanted to make sure you got in safe. “You should leave, man”, Raul grunted. “Come on, Lolita”, he muttered, and pulled me into the apartment; closing the door behind us.
---
As Raul’s place was closer to Buddie’s than mine was, I kept some spare clothes there, when nights at the bar turned crazy, and I didn’t want to go home. I often stayed on my friend’s couch; especially after some weirdo or other wouldn’t leave me alone at work.
After a spending the day curled up on his couch, the bartender handed me a mug. “Spiked it”, he smiled; as I smelled the luscious cocoa, he’d made me. “Thanks”, I smiled, and drank from the mug. “You feeling better?”, he asked, and stroked my cheek. I sighed. “I’m… much better, yeah”, I said. “Just needed it out of my system”. Raul drew his lips back in a snarl. “I should have kicked his ass”, he said. I shook my head. “It’s fine… But you mind if I take a swing at your punching bag?”. His face lit up. “Go ahead! You know where it is”.
I went into Raul’s bedroom; and walked over to the large red bag hanging in the corner. Fisting my hands, I began punching at it, hard. I lifted my leg, and kicked at it; making it slam against the wall. “Easy, mami”, Raul smiled from the doorway. “I want to be able to get my deposit back one day”. “Sorry”, I chuckled.
Raul put on some protective pads; and stepped over to me. “You got this”, he said. “Remember? Punch, punch, knee”. I struck first at Raul’s face, then his torso – while he covered himself from the blows with the pads – and finally put my knee against the pad he held in front of his groin. “Good. Again. Punch… punch… knee!”, he said. “Yes! Now what do we say to bad ex-boyfriends?”. “Not today!”, I yelled, and laughed. “Good girl”, Raul grinned.
We trained for a few more minutes, before I felt like the alcohol sweat was getting to me, and stepped into the bathroom. I took a shower, and applied some makeup I kept in my purse, looking more or less like I hadn’t spent hours crying while watching TiVo’d RuPaul’s Drag Race with Raul. Stepping out of the bathroom; Raul handed me a fresh set of clothes. “It’s 90’s night. Thought you might want your flannel”.
I frowned when I looked down at the shirt, he’d given me. It was the one Dean had left at my old apartment. “You wear it”, I muttered. Raul shrugged. “Don’t mind if I do!”, he grinned, and put on the flannel.
I grabbed a dark grey tank top for myself, and a pair of tight jeans, ripped at the knees. “You got your combat boots in my closet”, Raul called over his shoulder, as he was doing his hair in the bathroom mirror. “I thought your closet was empty, babe”, I grinned. “For years, mami!”, he said.
I put on my booth, and joined him by the mirror, slapping his butt. “Blue Steel!”, I smiled, and we both contorted our faces into perfect Zoolander looks. “Tonight, we’re getting you laid, mami!”, Raul jeered. I laughed and shook my head. “I’m good; thanks”, I said. Raul grabbed my red lipstick from my purse, and grabbed my chin. “Stand still”, he ordered; and applied the color to my lips. “Perfect”, he said as he finished – pecking my lips chastely. “Let’s get to work”.
---
“What’s in your head? In your head? Zombie…”. The bass was heavy, and most of the patrons were headbanging to the music. I was running back and forth between the many costumers at the bar.
We had extra help that night – a few dropouts that had needed jobs where going between tables, taking orders. “We need a new keg!”, I called over the music. Raul nodded, and went in the back to grab one. “Megan! Table 5!”. I handed the young woman four beers on a tray.
Raul returned to the bar with the keg, and as I moved the nozzle to it; he began a conversation with a person I recognized. I sauntered over, and smirked at the man. “Talk to daddy’s lawyer yet?”. The blue-eyed man smiled embarrassedly. He held up his hand, which was bandaged after my work on it. “Yeah, sorry… That was rude”. “It really was”, I nodded. “But give me a nice tip, and we’ll move past it…”. Raul winked at the man. “He already gave me the…”. “No! Don’t wanna know”, I laughed, and walked away.
I handed another tray of beers to Megan. “Go on sweetie!”, I smiled. “Thanks… Lulu?”, she said. “Yup?”. Her pretty face was smiling brightly at me. “Thanks for convincing the owner to give me this gig. I really appreciate it”. “You’re doing great”, I grinned.
I grabbed a tray of cold ones myself, and walked towards the table who had ordered it. Someone grabbed my arm. I turned around, and stood face to face with one of the girls from the group of sorority sisters the night before; the one with the perfect skin and bright eyes. “Yes?”, I smiled. “I’m sorry. I was just wondering if you’d seen Terri around tonight…”, the girl said. I furrowed my brow. “Terri?”. “The blonde”, the girl said. “You know… the one with the…”. She made a gesture towards her chest. “Ah, yes. Her”, I said. “No, haven’t seen her”. The girl frowned. “She left with some guy last night… haven’t seen her since. She hasn’t called…”. I looked towards the table waiting for their drinks, and sighed. “Look, leave your number with Raul at the bar. If we see her, we’ll call, ok?”. The girl nodded, and walked off. I left the beers at the table, and slid the 20 they handed me into my pocket.
Back at the bar, Raul was still in deep conversation with the blue-eyed man. He seemed like he was trying to brush him off. “But we had something, dude!”, the guy was saying. “Sorry, baby. I have to get back to work”, Raul smiled; and went over to me, rolling his eyes. I pouted. “I think you broke his heart”. “He’ll get over it”, Raul shrugged. “You’re not gonna see him again?”, I asked. “You usually at least give a guy a couple of dates”. Raul cleared his throat, and looked uncomfortable. “He’s got… this thing”, he muttered. I chuckled. “What… Horns? A tail?”. Raul met my eyes. “Dude’s got a tail?”, I whispered with wide eyes. Raul grimaced. “It’s… a tiny one. But it was right in my line of sight”. I winced. “Yikes…”. “Yeah…”, Raul grumbled. “I’m gonna go get a case of Bud”.
I returned to the patrons at the bar; when suddenly I was face to face with Dean again. “Hi”, he muttered. Sam was standing behind him – looking like he’d rather be anywhere else. “Hey”, I said. Dean clenched his jaw a second. “We’re here on a case… not to hassle you”. I shrugged. “It’s fine”, I said; trying my best not to get lost in his intense stare. “So… what is it?”. He cleared his throat. “It’s… not something we can talk about with people around”, he said; and pulled a picture from his pocket. “This girl; you seen her?”.
Terri was giving me a million-dollar smile from the photo he was holding up. “Yeah she was here last night, remember?”, I said, raising a brow at him. A smile ghosted his face. “Yeah… She’s missing”. I frowned. “Her friend was here earlier, asking for her”, I said. “Probably the girl we talked to down at the college”, Sam said. A group of frat guys were waving at me from the other end of the bar. “Look, I have to go do my job”.
Raul reappeared from the basement; carrying a case of beer. “You let him wear my shirt?”, Dean snapped. “He’s stretching it, with all that… muscle!”. I shrugged. “Sorry… I can have him take it off”, I smirked. “But he’s got nothing on underneath; and it might cause a stir”. Dean frowned. “No… let him have it”. Sam cleared his throat. “We should get back to the case”. I nodded, and walked away.
Megan returned to the bar. “Can you take care of the frat guys over there?”, I asked. “I need some air”. “Sure thing!”, she grinned. I smiled at Raul, who gave me a knowing look; and I went towards the back door.
I closed the door behind me; and went to stand against the wall. I closed my eyes, and took a deep breath. I heard the door open and close again. “Really though? My gun and my shirt?”. I opened my eyes to see Dean looking at me with wide eyes. “I don’t want to do this. Please, Dean”, I said quietly. “Too bad, because I do”, he said; his brows raised in a serious expression. “You said a lot of things back there in the car… but you didn’t let me say anything”. I shrugged. “You didn’t seem to be in a chatty mood”. He stepped towards me; leaving less than a yard between us. “That was because I thought you and Sam… No, you know what? Never mind”. I shook my head. “No, you started this. Finish it!”, I sneered.
Dean took a deep breath; seemingly trying to restrain his anger. “I was in Hell, Lou”, he said. “The actual Hell”. My lips parted, and I drew in a short breath. “What do you mean?”, I whispered. “I mean; hellhounds dragged me downstairs, and demons tortured me – ripped me apart, and put me back together – every day for years”. Dean looked down, avoiding my eyes. “But… you weren’t gone for…”, I began. “Time works differently there”, he muttered. “After… a long time… I couldn’t deal with it anymore. I was offered a different position to being the demons’ favorite punching bag”.
I lifted my hand to reach for him; but he stepped backwards. It was as if he was afraid, I’d hurt him if I touched him – or he would hurt me. “I became a torturer myself… I was… good at my job”. “Dean…”, I croaked; and stepped towards him – putting my hand on his arm. He shrugged me off. “You shouldn’t…”, he said quietly. “It’s why I didn’t try to find you again… How could you ever…?”. He looked like the weight of the world – or Hell – was on his shoulders.
I put my hand back on his arm – this time he didn’t move; but he still wouldn’t meet my eyes. “That’s not you”, I said. “It is…”, he rasped. “I did those things. I tortured, and slashed and…”. “Stop…”, I whispered, and stepped closer to him; putting my other hand on his cheek. He finally met my eyes tentatively. “I didn’t want to hurt you… still don’t”, he said. “Who I am – what I’ve done… How could I ever be someone…?”.
I put both my arms around his waist, and held on tightly to him. After a moment; I felt his arms surround me; and he put his face into the crook of my neck. “I’m sorry, Dean”, I whispered. “I’m so sorry”. “No… I don’t deserve that”, he muttered. I shook my head, and looked at him – still holding him tight. “I’m sorry that happened to you”, I said. He furrowed his brow. “You sacrificed yourself for your brother. You are a good man”. “But I did those things…”, he said quietly. “Anyone in your place would have”, I said.
He pulled away from me. “If I could have stayed with you, I would have”, he muttered. I smiled. “No you wouldn’t. You have your job. You help people; and that’s not something you can do from one place”. He nodded, and cleared his throat. “But I would have stayed in touch. I really wanted us to… try”. “And now…?”, I rasped. Dean shook his head. “You have the MMA fighter in there…”. I chuckled. “Raul is gay, Dean”, I smiled. His eyes widened. “So, you two are…”. “Friends”, I said. Dean sighed deeply. “Well I’m an idiot!”, he chuckled. I shrugged. “You kind of are, yeah”, I grinned.
Dean stepped towards me again – and putting his hands on either side of my face – he leaned in; and kissed me. I grabbed his wrists, and put his arms around me – putting my own hands behind his head; running my fingers through his short hair. Dean suckled at my lower lip – gently stroking his tongue across it. I let out a soft moan. He pulled me even closer; before backing me against wall – leaving no space between us. My breath was growing ragged, and I let his tongue enter my mouth; as he ran a hand down to my hip, and pressed into me.
All space and time turned in to this. Me and Dean, colliding like comets, and exploding in passion – in a dirty alleyway behind a bar.
“Dean!”. Sam had come out to find his brother. “Wow… sorry. I didn’t mean to…”. He cleared his throat. Dean looked at his brother, and grinned. “Raul is gay!”, he said happily. Sam raised a confused brow. “Yeah I know. He’s spent the last 15 minutes flirting with me”, he said. “Look, dude, we still have a case to finish”.
Dean stepped back from me; and looked at me apologetically. “I need to…”. “Yeah”, I nodded. “I’m gonna call you!”, he said. “You still don’t have my number”, I chuckled. He licked his lip. “I may or may not have texted myself from your phone, while you were passed out last night”, he admitted with a smirk.
We reentered the bar, and the guys followed me over to the bar. I looked at Raul, and blushed. “What?”, I croaked. Dean looked at Raul with a big grin on his face. “That’s a really nice shirt, man!”, he said. Raul laughed. “Yeah, thanks. I like your lipstick!”. Dean rubbed his lips with the back of his hand; and looked at me with a crooked smile. I leaned over the bar, and grabbed his collar – leaving a short kiss on his lips. “I’ll see you around”, I said. “Yeah”, he smirked. I smiled at Sam, who chuckled at me. “See you, Lulu”, he said; and the brothers walked towards the exit.
I spent a moment regaining my wits. “Dean…”, Raul said; wiggling his brows. “I bet you’re really sorry he’s impotent”. “Shut up”, I chuckled. “Where’s Megan?”. Raul frowned. “Haven’t seen her for a while. Could you take this order?”. He handed me a tray, and I went to serve the table.
---
At 2 am I was finally home. My apartment in Denver was smaller than the one I’d had – just a studio – but it was nice; rustic. I had been able to afford a couple of pieces of second hand furniture – including a bed with a metal bar headboard; a small couch and armchair, with a coffee-table to go with it; a small kitchen table with some chairs; and a dresser. My clothes, books, tv, stereo, records and CDs where all I had brought with me – having left behind the furniture in my old place; wanting to avoid the memories of it.
My feet were tired, my shoulders were sore – but my heart was full. I looked at my phone to see if Dean had texted or called; and came across the text he’d sent his own phone. - Lou. I’m sorry. I know I’m the last person you expected to see. I wish things were different. Things were different now.
I was about to send him a text; when there was a knock at the door. It was late for guests, so I looked out the peep-hole to see who was there. With a smile, I immediately opened the door. “Hi”, Dean said; with a nervous look on his face. “How did you find this place?”, I asked. “You’re listed”, he smiled. “Do you want me to…”. “No!”, I interrupted him. “Come in…”.
Dean stepped in to the room, and looked around. I closed the door behind him. “This is… nice”, he said. “Thanks…”, I muttered. “It’s smaller, but I like it”. Dean moved around the room, taking it in. “I just came by to check you got home ok”. “No…”, I said. He frowned. “No?”. I smiled. “That’s not why you came”, I said. He nodded. “You’re right”.
An eternity passed – or just a second, I couldn’t tell – before, with two long steps, Dean wrapped me in his arms, and pressed his lips to mine. I ran my hands up his torso, and he pulled back from me; looking on in wonder, as I pushed his jacket off his shoulders, and down his arms – letting it drop to the floor.
Dean attacked my mouth again, and our tongues met at the same time our bodies did. I gasped, as Dean gently pulled at my lip with his teeth – gaging my reaction with intense green eyes. I pulled at his shirt, and he quickly pulled it off; discarding it somewhere over his shoulder – before tugging at the hem of my tank. “Tell me to stop”, he breathed against my mouth. “I’ll leave right away”. “No”, I rasped. “Don’t stop”. I lifted my arms in the air, and let him pull the fabric over my head.
He stepped backwards, and pulled off his own t-shirt. His torso was taut – trimmed, but not ripped. He was strong, I could tell – and remember – and I bit my lip as I looked him over. I stepped close to him again, and ran my fingertips from the amulet in his necklace, across his chest; ending up at a strange tattoo on his peck. Leaning in, I left a soft kiss on it, and gently licked a trail across his collarbone, and up his neck – feeling the stubble on his jaw meet my tongue. Dean drew in a short breath, and grabbed my hair; pulling my head back, so he could kiss me again.
Putting his hands on my thighs, he tapped them; telling me to jump. I giggled slightly, as he caught me; and I straddled his waist. Dean starred into my eyes with lust-blown pupils, and carried me towards the bed; letting his lips brush mine gently, as if to kiss me – then suddenly let go; dropping me onto the mattress.
He grinned down at me; before in a swift move pushing me to lie down, and crawling over me. For a moment he just looked at me. Then, he kissed my lips softly, and moved downwards, leaving a trail of kisses on my chin, my neck, my collarbone; and finally, one of each of my breasts, just where the lace met my skin. The stubble on his chin brushing against my skin, made my breath hitch. I slid my hands down his strong back; feeling his muscles flex under my touch. Dean’s hands where on my waist; and he looked up at me as his fingers travelled towards the button on my jeans – looking for consent. I bit my lip again, and nodded.
Sitting back on his knees – one of them between my legs – Dean opened the button, and then pulled down the zipper. He hooked his fingers into my waistband, and pulled my jeans down. I pulled myself backwards on the bed, so he could pull them off me. Nipping at both of my big toes, he pulled off my socks as well – and with a grin, he threw them over his shoulders, before bending down again, and kissing my knees. His lips left pecks up the inside of my thigh; and his warm breath there left me whimpering quietly, as my body stirred under him.
Dean moved upwards – the whole time looking into my eyes – pausing for a moment over the apex of my thighs, and parting his lips; licking the bottom one. I closed my eyes and put my head back on the pillow. Deans warm breath over my core was enough to make my walls quake. Suddenly he was over me again, kissing my lips. “Tease…”, I smiled against his lips. “You know it”, he said; and flicked my lips with his tongue. I threw my arms around him, and kissed him passionately – pushing his shoulder with one hand, to get him to roll onto his back. Dean obliged, and I straddled his waist – crawling backwards on my knees, so I could open his belt and the button of his jeans – as he looked on in wonder. Before I could finish the job, he sat up; and with a swift move, he unhooked my bra.
“You’ve had practice”, I chuckled. “Susan Farrow?”. He shrugged with a smug smile. Dean pulled at my bra straps, taking off the garment slowly – looking at my chest as he unveiled my mounds. He let out a soft “Oh… wow…”, as my breasts came in to view. I laughed softly, and took his hand to place it one of my mounds. He squeezed it gently, and looked into my eyes again. I parted my lips and drew in a hard breath, when he let his thumb graze over my nipple. Using his index finger as well, he pulled gently at it – leaving it erect. He used his other hand to do the same on my other bud. Moving his hands to my back, he rolled me onto my back again, and got off the bed, finally taking of his pants, boots and socks – leaving him in his boxers.
Dean Winchester was not impotent. The stretched fabric on the front of his underwear gave that away very clearly. I raised my brow at the sight, and let out a pleased breath. Dean shrugged – once again looking quite pleased with himself. He knew exactly how good looking he was.
I sat up and took his hand; pulling him down over me again. This time he didn’t play around. He pushed me to lay down against the pillow – and sucked gently at my nipple – before moving down to my panties, and pulling them off me. Lifting my knee, he put it over his shoulder – gave me a quick smirk – before brushing his lips over my lower ones. “Oh!”, I gasped, as he gently blew at my nub. “This ok?”, he breathed. “Uh huh…”, I moaned.
Dean kissed my bundle off nerves, and then licked over my labia with a flat tongue. His index finger parted my lips and felt for my wetness – apparently striking gold from the sound of his chuckle. The finger entered me down to the knuckle, and bended upwards. I whimpered loudly. “You sure you don’t wanna just watch a movie?”, Dean grinned up at me. “Dean!”, I pleaded with a raspy voice. He chuckled again, and got back to work.
And some work that was. Dean added another finger, and moved them in and out of me – occasionally crooking them upwards – all while gently kissing my nub over and over. “Please…”, I croaked. He opened his mouth slightly, and sucked the little pebble into his mouth; playing with it with the tip of his tongue.
I grasped at the covers underneath me, breathing raggedly; and cursing in a language I didn’t even know myself. Everything went white, as Deans fingers picked up speed, and he sucked at me harder. “Come on, baby”, he breathed; and sucked my nub into his mouth again. His fingers pressed hard upwards – and suddenly I was flying; soaring above the bed as I came. Dean kept going, and I looked down at him, meeting his mischievous eyes. He was going to draw this out. His fingers continued their attack, and his mouth wouldn’t let go off me. I tried to pull backwards – not sure how much more I could take – but he used his free arm to wrap over my thigh and hip, and held me fast against his face.
“I… can’t…”, I sobbed; when suddenly my walls quivered even harder, and it felt like I exploded into tiny little atoms. Every part of me was on fire, and my body convulsed under Dean. I realized then, that what I had felt before was not an orgasm. This was an orgasm – and the most intense one I’d ever had to boot. I cried out my pleasure, and – finally – Dean relented; letting go of me from his lips, and gently withdrawing his fingers from my still throbbing core.
He came up to lay next to me, putting his arm over my belly. “You still with me?”, he chuckled. “No…”, I croaked. “You know, you say that a lot”, he grinned; and pulled me close to him. I felt his erection poke at my thigh. “Don’t worry about it. Come down to earth first”, he said softly. I nodded. “Wow…”, I said. “That was… something else”. “I know”, Dean smirked. “You are so full of yourself!”, I chuckled.
Finally feeling by body relax, I stroked his cheek; and leaned in to kiss him again. As he pulled himself to lay halfway over me, I put one arm around his back, holding him close – while my other hand travelled down his torso. My fingertips grazed over the tip of his member; and he gasped softly. “I haven’t even touched you yet”, I smiled. “I don’t need you to touch me to feel the way I do right now”, he breathed. “It’s enough when you just look at me”. “Well, I’m not satisfied with just looking”, I said, and kissed him passionately, as I put my hand under the waistband of his boxers, and grabbed his hardness.
I stroked him gently – once in a while applying a bit of pleasure – as he just looked into my eyes. “If you could just do that forever, that would be great”, he croaked. “Really?”, I asked, and nibbled at his lower lip while he whimpered from my touch. “There’s nothing else you’d like to do?”. Darkness ghosted his face, and he quickly pulled off his underwear, and placed himself between my legs. “Hard or soft?”, he almost growled. “Anyway you want it, that’s the way you need it…”, I said quietly. He looked at me in amazement. “Where have they been hiding you?”, he asked. His penis probed my entrance, and using his hand to guide it; he pushed inside me with a agonizingly slow movement. He let me adjust to him for a moment, before – with a soft smile – he began moving.
I lifted one leg and wrapped it around his hips, pulling him towards me. We moved together slowly, stroking every inch of skin we could reach on the other’s body. Kissing my lips gently; I ran my nails down his back – letting him know that what he was doing to me was heavenly. “Lou… you’re gonna make this end much sooner than I’d like it to”, Dean warned me. I skimmed his arms with my nails, and raised a brow at him. “That’s it”, he said with a chiding tone.
With a swift move of Deans hips and his strong arms, I was suddenly on top. “Really?”, I smiled. “Now I have all the control”. “That’s what you think, sweetheart”, he smirked, sat up and caught my wrists; pinning them behind my back.
With his free hand, he grabbed my hip, and began controlling their movements. I struggled against his grip, which made my chest arch forwards; and Dean caught my nipple in his mouth – sucking at it. I grinded against him; and we moaned together – both smiling at the pleasure the other brought us. “You feel… awesome”, Dean gasped against my lips; catching me in another kiss. His hardness inside me – filling my insides perfectly – and the way my grinding caused friction to my clitoris; drew me closer to a second climax. I buried my face in the crook of his neck; and he finally let go of my wrists – letting me embrace him.
My newfound freedom let me move differently, and I began raising and lowering myself on his member – drawing even more wanton noises from his lips. My hands were in his hair, his were on my bottom; helping me rise and fall with his strong arms. “I need to…”, Dean croaked; and flipped us over again – placing my leg over his shoulder. The new angle immediately made me see stars, as the head of his penis rubbed at that special spot inside of me, his fingers had found before – every time he pulled back, and thrusted back inside me again.
Dean picked up the pace; and his breathing grew erratic. My tunnel was clenching around him more and more forcefully, until I finally cried out my climax. Deans brow furrowed. He was desperately trying to hold back; and quickly losing the battle. “Can I…?”, he croaked. I nodded fervently. With a few more hard thrusts; he came undone inside me. I pulled my knee down from his shoulder, and wrapped both my legs and arms around him, as he let go. Finally, he relaxed on top of me. I kissed him gently, and we smiled at each other. “Hi…”, he breathed; looking at me with hazy eyes. “Hey”, I chuckled.
Dean gently pulled out of me, and laid himself next to me; pulling me close, and kissing my shoulder. After a while of just cuddling, and looking at each other; nature called. “I have to…”, I muttered, and pulled out of his arms, as he groaned in annoyance. “Just… give me a few minutes. I’ll be back… Unless you wanna join me in the shower?”. His brows raised in pleased surprise. “I could use a hose down”, he grinned. “Call me when you’re ready”.
I did a naked run to the bathroom; hurriedly finished my business, and washed my hands – before opening the door to call for Dean.
In the middle of the room stood a broody looking man in a beige trench coat. “Jesus Christ!”, I yelped. “Not quite”, the man said with a disinterested voice.

His Trigger-Happy Lady
BTS
Kim Taehyung/Reader [F]
Genre: Drabble, Mafia AU, Friends->Lovers
Warning(s)?: Violence (duh((It’s at the end pretty much. Oops))
Words: 2.7k
“You know I’ll do anything for you.”
XXX
Kim Taehyung. A familiar and well-known name. A ruthless killer who still remained an almost decent human being. Refusing to kill those who didn’t deserve it. Respecting women and being almost protective of children. Going after men who disobey, attack him or innocent as well as holding the title of a fair share of his own crafty crimes he’s committed before.
He was no mystery. Doing what he wanted when he pleased and hardly anyone would stand in his way. He had a lot of connections and many partnerships in his line of work. He even managed to pull some very fine strings to keep the cops off his back.
Now, here he was on his way to meet a very dear friend of his. Someone he’s known for a very long time and planned to never separate from. Walking right into a den of some ferocious, fanged women.
Going through an alley and down a set of long-forgotten stairs that honestly could use a touch-up or two, he entered a pretty secret door. The place itself wasn’t a secret, but with people being too on edge to come this far down an ally in this day and age, it was pretty secretive.
Inside this door was a bar filled with women he recognized. The bar was run by an older woman, tattoos on her arms and a tan cropped shirt with her skinny jeans on. He could see her tense muscles relax when he recognized it was just Taehyung coming by again.
His loose white tank top covered by a black flimsy cover and his brown jacket that his thighs and his black pants, he walked to the bar, sliding into a stool. Some ladies who recognized him gave him a slap on his back or a quick wink. Some were new and were almost nervous that someone like him just came in through the door. He’d make it a point to go say hello to them all, later on, to calm their nerves. He wasn’t their enemy.
His eyes scanned the crowd as his heeled boots tapped slowly on the tile floor. A glass was placed in front of him filled with scotch. He ticked his head with a smirk as he took it and raised it to the woman behind the bar.
Scanning once more, the one thing he always saw was a tattoo on every woman. Whether it be a sleeve covered, a tattoo here or there, or just the one on their shoulder, they all had exactly one tattoo in common.
A butterfly with a torn wing.
Nursing on his alcohol, the woman behind the bar finally got the time to slide over to him and start a conversation.
“If you’re looking for the boss, she isn’t in yet. She’s been out all morning. Something about some dickbag who tried to scam her out of money.” Taehyung chuckled.
“She always takes all the fun and never brings me along.” He took a swing of his scotch, keeping the glass by his lips. “I see some new faces. How many?”
“Within the last week? 5 new ones. Poor things. I’m pretty sure Y/n walked right into sex houses and found all the miserable souls before tearing up their contracts and walking right out with them.”
Taehyung busted into laughter. “Yes! That is something she would do.” He sighed in peace as he set his glass down, nearly empty on his toxin. “I’m proud of how far she’s come in her goals.”
The woman smiled as she grabbed a bottle and topped Taehyung’s glass. “We’re all grateful for her and her efforts. Even I, an older woman, respect her. Taking us off the streets or ripping up our stupid contracts made for men, we’re grateful for the freedom she’s giving us.”
Taehyung spun in his stool to face the crowd. The bar was lively. Women sitting on velvet couches and booths. Some at tables with cards and beers. Some with darts as they tried their luck against a comrade. Some arm wrestled and a few newbies admired their tattoos together. Every type of woman was here. Heavy set, or a heavy heart. Pale as snow or dark as chocolate. The tallest to reach the best type of booze and the shortest to punch you somewhere below the belt with their shiny new brass knuckles.
It was a wide family and it was yours. You created it.
“Any idea when she’ll be in?” The woman was going to reply when the door to the bar opened and revealed you. Walking in with your garter shorts strapped around your thighs and your breast tight shirt. A cropped off bomber jacket and your shoulder cut hair swishing around your neck and cheeks when you moved your head. Your sneakers on your feet seemed far too clean coming from what Taehyung was assuming turned into a messy job.
He downed the rest of his drink before sliding the glass to the woman and hoping up from his seat and walking over to you. Shedding off your jacket, it revealed your tanktop that use to have sleeves before you cut them off and showed your own torn winged butterfly. The first butterfly of your nation you created.
You looked up and saw your long term friend striding towards you, thumbs looped through his belt loops as he stopped at your side.
“I didn’t know you were going to stop by today,” you told him as he took your jacket from you. He snickered. “I would've stayed in to greet you.”
“Oh please, don’t stop your work on my account.” He hung your bomber up on a jacket rack as he stood as close as he could to you. Tempted to sling his arm around your shoulders, but refrained. “I see a few new faces in your little army. Care to introduce me so the pretty little ladies don’t think I’m here to massacre them?”
You laughed at him. He was always one to want to meet new people. Especially your people. An all-female mafia unit was rare. And you were awfully proud of your considering your track record was flawless. Carrying out successful missions after successful missions and creating a name for yourself. In this world, if you were a woman of violence and crime and you had men after you to try and soothe their damaged masculinity, it was a win.
Though, those after you didn’t get far. Taehyung wouldn’t let them lay a dirty fucking finger on you.
You lead the nosy mafia high-head through your girls as you located each new one and introduced them to the ‘scary boss Taehyung’ and watched as they all either sobbed from nerves or laughed at themselves when he smiled and introduced himself like a decent man. It was something that happened every time and really made sense.
When that was all done, you went through a door at the back of the bar leading to a small home like area. A bed, a small kitchen area and a closet and dressers for you. You did own a real penthouse-courtesy of Taehyung’s generosity that you tried and failed to refuse- but you came here more often than you visited your own home. In fact, you were only here to grab some things before heading home.
“You’re going home tonight?” He questioned as he followed you in your room and you fell onto your bed, dropping your facade. You finally winced at something that you hid from your girls. Taehyung jumped into overdrive as he was kneeling at your bedside looking you over. “Where? Where do you hurt?”
Legs were fine, arms clean. He looked behind your neck and didn’t see any bruises or marks. He even took off your boots and checked your ankles and feet. You swatted him away as you lifted your black shirt showing a nasty gash on your belly.
Taehyung ran his fingers around it. Two solid, scabbing and still bleeding gashes in your skin. The skin around the wounds was red and violently threatening infection. Dirt and what looked like soot were mixed into your bloody wound as well as some fabric from your shirt as you hid it. Taehyung growled as you explained your last job didn’t go as smoothly as you wished and you found yourself on the receiving end of a fire poker being swung at you.
“Take your shirt off. We can’t let the fabric stick to your blood anymore.”
“No,” you denied. “If I did, the girls would see and the whole point of me faking was to not worry them.” Taehyung stood, grabbing your tanktop before starting to slide it up your body for you. You squawked as you fought him, but ultimately your squirming made you wince, irritating your belly as Taehyung soon ripped your shirt off you. Leaving you in your bra, you shivered slightly.
Taehyung slid off his brown heavy jacket before removing his black, sheer cover from his own white tank. It was dark enough to cover your wound from eyes and light enough to not irritate it further. Plus, Taehyung always preferred his own clothing on you anyways.
He tied the bottoms together in the front to hide your body from view as you rolled your eyes at him.
“Overprotective as always. You don’t change, do you?”
“When it comes to you? Never.” He stood you up as he followed you like a shadow as you grabbed a drawstring back, shoving papers and books into it before pulling it shut and slinging it over your shoulder.
Taehyung helped you out of your room, out of your bar and said goodbye to the familiar faces of your girls before he walked you home. He knew was it was, obviously. When you both entered your top floor penthouse, Taehyung moved around like he would any other time. He knew this place like the back of his hand. He’s been here more than one time to visit you.
He started by taking his sheer cover back and pushing you into the bathroom where he took to clean your wound before sticking a hefty amount of gauze and plaster on it.
Things started to ease up when you made Taehyung reheat your leftover mac and cheese from your fridge for the both of you to eat. With a game of cards, some stupid jokes and a conversation later, you were found by Taehyung sleeping on the couch when he came back from the bathroom.
He rolled his eyes in pure endearment as he as easily and gently as he could relocate you to your room and onto your bed. It was a fine bed Taehyung purchased for you. Wine red bed skirt to hide the frame and box spring with matching covers and black sheets. Two fluffed pillows with a single long body pillow he gave you as the backboard was dark wood.
The sultry colors matched you perfectly in both beauty and fundamental standpoints. It really was no mystery that Taehyung was completely in love with you. Everyone and their mothers knew it. You yourself knew it, but you were terrified of a committed relationship just in case something happened to either one of you.
Taehyung didn’t care though. He sat on the edge of your bed, brushing your warm cheek with his fingers as he occasionally pushed at the plush skin of your lips. He smiled down at you.
“You know I’ll do anything for you,” he told your sleeping body. He hated it, but he had to leave you now. He left you a written note pinned under a glass of water and boxed medicine he instructed you take when you wake up for the pain of your wound. Along with word of him coming back tomorrow so you were to stay home and wait for him. Absolutely no going outside allowed.
When he left your penthouse, he pulled his phone from his jeans and pressed 1 on his phone before he made a speed call. Two rings and his call was answered.
“Run some camera’s from the western part of town for me. All of them. I want to take care of some.. personal business.”
That next day, it was afternoon when Taehyung came back into your penthouse. He found you walking out of your kitchen wearing a loose cropped off shirt to let your plaster covered wound breathe without a shirt. That coupled with the lousy excuse of underwear only covering your lower half made him almost walk out the window.
“Have you changed your gauze today?” He asked as he brushed his fingers over your belly.
“I have. I did when I woke up. thanks for the medicine by the way, though it tasted awful.”
“Oh please. Pills don’t have a taste.”
“Oh yeah? Tell that to the little bits of it that stayed on my tongue. It’s fucking bitter.”
Taehyung rolled his eyes at you. “I have something for you back at my warehouse. Want to come to check it out? It’s a present.”
“A present? For little ole me? Why you shouldn’t have.” You chided as Taehyung smiled boxily down at you. sliding his hand around your waist, taking in your soft skin under his. He had forgone a jacket today. Just a simple short sleeve shirt in grey and his blue jeans.
He was soon escorting you out of your home and half an hour later was standing outside his warehouse. His men were stationed there waiting and expecting his arrival. He walked over to a man holding a wooden box as he flipped it open and pulled out a gun.
Taehyung sauntered back to you, his personal favorite old school 6 round revolver. He had always been a fan of old time firearms. He didn’t use his revolver often though. Dare you say you were almost excited for what was behind that giant, heavy metal door.
Placing his hand on your back, he leads you in. “After you,” he smiled. Inside he had cleared a special place where a man sat beat all to hell and chained down. Some of his fingers and toes were broken, coupled with and a nasty shiner forming under his eye. Swollen and beaten, he looked pathetic.
You whistled in recognition. This was the man who swung that fire poker at you and resulted in your current wounded state. You looked up at Taehyung who looked at the man he had the pleasure of capturing and beating half to death sitting in his pathetic little spotlight. No wonder his knuckles were a touch raw and red when he came to get you.
The man seemed to stiffen when he saw you again, standing next to Taehyung. Obviously, he had no idea you both knew each other. Know it made sense to him why Taehyung captured him in the first place. this was a revenge game and Taehyung just played checkmate.
Taehyung who stood at your side, brought his hand from your back to around your shoulders and under your chin as he tipped your head up. Capturing your lips between his, he smirked as he kissed you. His men looked away as the man sat in his chains shivered.
Taehyung overpowered you as he pulled on your lips with his teeth and flicked his tongue around yours, encapturing your whimpers and breathes like they were the tobacco of a cigarette.
Pulling up and away from you, he licked his lips that tasted of you before he flicked his brows up playfully and quickly placed his revolver into your hands.
“Go trigger-happy my love,” he told you with a smirk.
“Only if you promise a date after this.” He moved to be at your ear, nipping at it slightly as he grinned.
“Absolutely,” he let you go, tapping your ass as you walked to the man who shivered in his chain. Bringing the gun to his head you then moved to his shoulder, his thigh, his gut then forced his mouth open and placed the guns point straight into his throat.
Smiling a happy goodbye, you pulled the trigger and watched as the bullet ripped through his throat. Then you shot his right shoulder, then his gut, then his thigh and foot. Finally, you pulled the gun up and put him out of his misery by placing the final bullet in his head.
“Sorry,” you told Taehyung as you gave him his gun back. “I used all your bullets. I’ll get you more?” You apologized as he just stuffed the empty gun in his belt loop.
“All is forgiven, angel.” Taehyung ushered you both out since he had a date to plan, leaving his men to clean up the broken, bleeding mess of a body.

Brother’s Best Friend - Chapter 3
Warnings: Language, Drug use, some nudity, shitty writing
•••
Your pounding head wakes you from your slumber, and you let out a groan when the sunlight hits your face. You stumble out of Vince’s bunk to find everyone still asleep, besides Doc and the bus driver, who are conversing over which exit to take. You yawn quietly, deciding to freshen up before the boys wake. You change out of your sleep shorts and your brothers tank, and into a pair of leggings and a distressed black top. You exit the bathroom and you’re met with Vince, who’s nursing a bottle of beer at the table.
You slide across from him, hoping to clear the air from last night. “Morning Vince, how ya feel?” You ask, watching as he holds his head. “I’m alright, just a bad hangover.” He reassures, sending a smile your way. “Do you remember anything from last night?” As the question leaves your mouth, Vince perks up. “Dude, don’t tell me we fucked last night, Nikki will kick my ass!” Your hands fly to his mouth, hushing him. “No, idiot, we didn’t fuck. But you did mention something about Tommy and I.”
A smile creeps onto Vince’s lips, as he takes a swig from his bottle. “You said Tommy has a crush on me, is that true?” You cross your arms in front of your chest, almost ready to slap Vince when he smirked at you. “Stop looking at my chest and answer me!” “Why not ask him for yourself?” He teases, pointing over to the lanky man who was entering the back room, presumably to change. After giving him a moment to change, you knock on the door. “Tommy? You in there?”
He opens the door with a smile, and you return it weakly, anxiety coursing through you. “Can we talk?” You ask, and he nods, allowing you to enter the room. You close the door behind you and sit on the couch, inhaling deeply. “What’s up, Y/N? You’re acting strange.” Tommy asks, placing a hand on your shoulder. “I-Vince... I need to know how you feel.. about me..” You stutter, looking up in his eyes. “Well I think you’re absolutely amazing and-“ “No Tommy, I mean.. how do you feel about me?” Tommy stills, looking everywhere but your eyes. “Vince told me that you have a thing for me, but he was drunk. I didn’t know if he was being serious and I just needed to find out from you.” You ramble, Tommy reaching up to scratch his head.
“Well.. I uh, I do like you but.. No. I don’t have a thing for you.” He says cooly, refusing eye contact. You can feel your heart sink and you nod, exiting the back room without another word. Luckily the bus has just pulled into tonight’s venue, so you took the liberty to hop off the bus and take a seat outside, your back against the side of the bus. The more you think about how cool and dismissive he was, the harder it is to hold back tears. “Y/N? What are you doing out here?” Nikki’s voice asks soothingly as he comes and sits next to you on the ground.
“Everything okay?” You look at him and burst into tears, holding onto him for dear life. He hugs you tight, rubbing his hand soothingly on your back. “It’s.. it’s just that time of the month.” You lie, wiping your eyes. Nikki is none the wiser and offers a soft smile. “Do you need anything?” He asks, still rubbing your shoulder. You shake your head and force a smile. “Just needed my brother.”
—————
You did your best avoiding Tommy, but by avoiding Tommy, you avoided everyone. You secluded yourself to the back of the bus during parties, staying to Nikki’s side of the stage and running off before the show ends, and when you had no other choice but to be with the boys, you only really talked to Mick and Nikki. Currently the boys were all on stage, and instead of watching the show tonight, you decided to nap in the back of the bus, headphones over your ears.
Just as you drift to sleep, Nikki bursts through the door, shaking your body. You rip your headphones off, looking at him with a confused expression. “What the fuck?” “We hit number one in America!” Nikki yells, jumping up and down like a child. You jump up and hug him, Nikki lifting you off the ground. He twirls you happily, then sets you back onto the couch. “We’re gonna throw a huge party, it’s gonna kick so much ass. You have to come!” He rambles. You shake your head, toying with the blanket that was covering you.
“I can’t.. I’m proud of you, really, but I can’t.” Nikki slumps down next to you, a hurt expression on his face. “Y/N, this is so big! And you’ve been avoiding people for the past week like the plague! Shouldn’t you be done with your.. lady problem now?” You chuckle at his boyishness, but he keeps up the puppy dog face. “Please come to the party?” You sigh and give in. “Fine. But don’t expect me to be too social.. it’s not really my scene until i’m boozed up.” He jumps up off the couch and smiles. “Guess we’ll start early then, you have to be drunk before the party even begins!” “Don’t push it, Nikki.”
—
You arrive to Vince’s house clad in a deep red dress and your go-to leather jacket, accompanied by your favorite chunky heeled boots. You give yourself a pep talk before walking into the house with confidence radiating off you. You’d be damned if you were going to let Tommy ruin your good time. Heads turn as you make your way through the house, finally stopping once you get to the kitchen. You pour yourself the first drink of the night, and set out to find your brother.
“Y/N?” Vince calls from behind you, tapping lightly on your shoulder. You spin on your heels, flashing him a smile. “Wow, you look fuckin’ hot.” He flicks a wink your way, which makes you giggle. “Gotta dress to impress, Vince.” You tease, pulling at his collar as the other three boys walk over. “Y/N, you look great.” Mick says as Vince pushes a piece of hair behind your ear. “Doesn’t she? God, if she wasn’t-“ Nikki cuts Vince off by clearing his throat.
“Still my little sister, and I’ll still kick all of your asses.” Nikki threatens, placing his hands on Mick and Vince’s shoulders. “You’re awfully quiet over there, Tommy. Cat’s got your tongue?” Vince teases, and you take a sip from your cup. “I’ll catch up with you guys later, i’m gonna go have fun.” You say, winking at Vince as you walk away. You find yourself a few minutes later tucked back against a wall, watching scenes unfold in front of you. One couple is face fucking, and to your left there’s a bunch of groupies doing lines.
“Well well..” A low voice breaks you from your trance, and you turn to meet the man. He’s tall, but still shorter than Nikki, with bright blue eyes and brown shoulder length hair, and a smile that could charm any girl within a two mile radius. “What are you doing here alone?” He asks, sipping from his drink. “What makes you think i’m alone?” You cock your eyebrow, looking the man in the eyes. “Well, you’re standing all alone in the corner, watching everyone else. So either you’re alone or you’re really thinking about something.”
You smile at him and sip from your cup. “Y/N, and you are?” “Derek. You look like you could use another drink.”
After four or five drinks, you lost count, you had gotten comfortable around Derek. “You know, you’re fucking beautiful.” He slurs, arm tight around your waist. You giggle, looking around the room for any sign to stop this man from holding you. “So i’ve been told.” “You wanna get out of here?” Derek asks, placing small kisses to your neck. “Get me another drink and maybe i’ll say yes.” He smirks, placing a kiss to your jawbone before walking into the kitchen.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Tommy asks from behind you, his breath hot on your neck. “What does it look like i’m doing? It’s called flirting, you of all people should know what that is.” You snap, turning to face him. “I didn’t think you’d care, since you don’t have any claim over me.” Tommy sighs and runs his hand through his hair. “I don’t care, he’s just not the guy for you.” You cross your arms over your chest and lean back against the wall. “Really. So who is? ‘Cause it sure as hell isn’t you.”
“Y/N, I never said-“ “Really? Because i’m pretty sure you rejected me. Vince told me that you.. You’re all fucking with my head!” You exclaim, holding your hands over your face. “Just.. just leave. He’s a nice guy and we’re going to hang out after this so..” You push yourself off the wall and away from Tommy, but he grabs your wrist and spins you around to face him. “You’re much too drunk for that, Y/N.” He pleads, looking genuinely concerned. “I’m an adult. I can do as I please.”
You begin to walk away again, but this time Tommy pulls you back by both of your wrists, holding you to his chest. “Y/N. Listen to me, would you?” He pauses, looking in your eyes. “Come take a walk with me.” “But what about-“ “Fuck that guy. You’re not thinking right.” He pushes a path through the people and leads you out onto the balcony. You cross your arms and Tommy lights up a cigarette, taking a drag before he opens his mouth to speak.
“Do you want some water? I can grab you some water.” Tommy rambles, running away and coming back with a cup of water before you can comprehend what’s going on. He hands you the cup, watching gratefully as you drink it. “Why were you talking to that guy anyways? He looks like a jerk.” You scoff at his words, placing your hand on your hip. “Why does it matter to you? You don’t care about me.” Tommy runs his hand over his face, sighing frustratedly.
“Stop saying that.” He says through gritted teeth, looking down at you. “Why?” You exclaim loudly, “Give me one good reason why I should stop saying that.” Tommy looks around at the crowd you two are gathering, and takes you over to the chairs on the balcony. You sit down, scowling at the man in front of you. “Listen, there’s something I need to tell you.” “What you need to tell me is why you’re acting so jealous when you don’t care about me!” You flail your hands drunkenly in front of your face. “Y/N..”

Black Leather - Chapter 8
I’d had to wait an additional twenty minutes at Steve’s house, because despite his near fanatical dedication to Farah Faucett; his hair had continued to fall flat.
Lucky for him, Nancy was there, otherwise I would’ve broken down the damn bathroom door and shaved the birds nest off myself.
Eventually; he’d managed to get his hair to a reasonable level of poofiness, and we’d gotten to Tina’s just an hour after the start time on the flyer; fashionably late without it being too busy to make an entrance.
Sitting in the backseat of Steve’s thankfully spacious BMW gave me front row seats to the newfound awkwardness between Hawkins most beloved royal couple.
Despite Steve’s insistence that everything was fine between the pair and that Nancy was just still upset about Barb; I couldn’t help but feel there was a bigger void between them than that. One that was gradually getting bigger by the day, judging by the near complete lack of conversation for the entire car ride over.
He wouldn’t even let me talk to her for him; insisting he could handle it himself, but Steve really didn’t know girls like I did.
There was something big on Nancy’s mind; something that parties and corny jokes alone wasn’t gonna fix.
“That is a lot of carnage...” Steve remarked, drawing my eyes from the world’s slowest relationship train wreck, to the much more literal train wreck outside my window.
The word “carnage” was putting it lightly.
The party had already spilled out onto the street; bodies in varying stages on unconsciousness littering the front lawn like the vast amount of beer cans and bottles surrounding them. Those that were conscious were reveling in a variety of vices, from cigarettes to cheap booze to near all out sex on the AstroTurf. High school partying at its finest.
“Half the school must be here!” Remarked Nancy; eyes wide at the near renaissance painting of absolute debauchery outside.
“You got that right...” Agreed Steve as he slowed his car to park; and if Hawkins High’s keg king said that it was a rager, then she must be right.
Steve eventually found a space just outside Tina’s house; surprising considering the sheer amount of people present, however I guess most people considered a night in Hawkins PD’s cells too steep a price to pay for one night of drinking and dancing.
We got out of the car, and already the music hit our ears at full blast; someone’s parents were gonna get a lot of noise complaints in the morning.
“We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off” was the song of choice, but clearly the song’s message fell on deaf ears, as most of the boys were down to shorts and skins, and the girls in even less.
Steve led the way through the highway to hell, ringing the doorbell to Tina’s, which chimed out in an almost comedic rendition of “Messiah” considering the situation.
Moments later, the door swung open to a smiling Tina, dressed in a skimpy leotard and fishnets, in what must’ve been a cat costume considering the black velvet ears in her perm.
“Steve! Nancy! Love the costumes!” She exclaimed with such enthusiasm; it must’ve been partially forced.
“Risky Business; right?” She asked, taking note on the pair’s cute matching black and white combo.
“And Lola! You’re..?” Her ever expanding smile faltered as she struggled to work out what exactly a tartan miniskirt and a Bon Jovi tank top had to do with Halloween.
“A vampire.” I replied with a fake smile, showing off the plastic fangs glued to my canines. She wasn’t the only one who could feign enthusiasm.
“Well; you all look so great...” She spieled; that plastic smile returning even quicker than it fell.
“Why don’t you come on in and get a drink...” She beckoned us in as she led us further into her temporary den of teenage rebellion.
Costume party could be used very loosely to describe what Tina’s Halloween party was.
People wore costumes alright; ones that made them look sexier, less restrained, more depraved. Anything from a pair of sunglasses, to an oversized bedsheet counted here; and trust me, someone had tried them all. My outfit honestly looked like a nun’s in comparison to some of the other girls.
Since when did lingerie count as a Halloween costume?
“Looks like a good party.” Steve remarked, though I wondered if it was only for our host’s sake.
“Yeah. If you like cheap liquor and herpes...” I muttered, earning myself a chuckle from him; so we were on the same page.
I glanced around the room, unable to believe people had managed to get this fucked up in an hour. There had to be some pregaming, or a high amount of class C drugs involved; definitely drugs, judging by the smoke in the air.
I was definitely gonna have to do the laundry before dad got home.
My eyes glanced over to the living room where some jock was spread out on the coffee table, whilst a line of cheerleaders did body shots off his chest.
I was definitely gonna need a drink to get through tonight.
“I’m gonna go grab a drink...” I told Steve, not waiting for a response as I slipped through the crowd towards the kitchen and what would hopefully be semi drinkable booze.
—————————————————
The liquor was shitty; the punch wasn’t much better, but still better to suffer the taste and be drunk, than suffer the company sober.
God knew there was nothing worse than being the only sober one in a crowd of drunks.
Steve had long abandoned me for his princess, in yet another attempt to drown an underlying uneasiness with cheap alcohol and fake happiness. Jonathan was a no show, but there was no surprises there, and I was kinda wishing I’d done the same, even if it’d cost me my left ear to Steve’s nagging.
The only consolation was that Billy Hargrove hadn’t spoken to me once. It was quite possible he hadn’t even noticed me; he was so sucked into the superficial cloud of party popularity that seemed to circle him like a storm.
Every girl in their fake leather biker boots and discount rack leather jackets was hanging off him, in a poor attempt to act as my replacement; as if being the resident basket case was as simple as smudging on a bit of eyeliner and smoking more Camels than usual.
I don’t think Billy was convinced; his mind so preoccupied with stealing Steve’s crown that he didn’t have time to think about getting laid.
No doubt when he came back down to earth; I’d be the first person he’d have in mind to help with that little problem.
But for now; my night looked relatively sleaze free. No one had tried to hit on me since Billy had taken an interest; probably valued their molars too much for that.
It’s strange to think that despite my total disdain for Billy and the clear message that I’d rather eat my own fingernails than date him; people still acted like he had some sort of “reservation” over me, as if I was unofficially “his girl”.
Right now, the man in question was challenging the royal reign of keg king; a position previously held by Steve, before Nancy had him saddled and bridled.
Even I had to admit; Billy Hargrove made quite the Lancelot to Steve’s Arthur. Billy had Steve in term of upper body strength; his keg stand lasting twice as long as Steve’s had, without any of the signature unsteadiness.
The keg court already loved him, counting down with unrivalled enthusiasm and chanting Billy’s name as if he’d just won a championship belt.
He’d even managed to steal Steve’s right hand man; Tommy H naturally taking his place behind the new alpha male, reminding me of a snappy hyena at his heels.
Billy’s keg stand finished on a impressive count of forty two; him touching ground soon after and spraying the crowd with lukewarm beer.
“That’s how you do it; Hawkins! That’s how you do it!” He yelled triumphantly, in that moment seeming more of a celebrity than the cocky asshole with a Camaro.
Even I had to admit that Billy seemed different tonight.
Maybe it was the punch talking, or the overall excitement of the crowd as they practically worshipped him like a god, but he just seemed larger than life.
He’d styled his hair different; his curls actually holding shape, rather than just falling into a dirty blonde mess. He also followed the crowd in terms of forgoing a shirt; just a leather jacket draped over his impressively built torso.
I could see why the other girls went crazy over him. Everything about him screamed dominance and raw testosterone.
Now Billy was walking my direction and I was running low on punch and confidence.
Yes; originally I’d planned to play the role of tease tonight, and drive Billy crazy with what he could see, but couldn’t touch. But he was forty two seconds of beer down and pumped up on the adoration of half the school, so I was having second thoughts.
Sober Billy was fun to tease, if not a little over persistent; drunk Billy was an unfamiliar entity that could turn out to be downright dangerous.
So I made my exit, slipping back into the crowd and relative anonymity.
—————————————
The kitchen looked like it had become the first fatality of what was sure to be a deadly night of binge drinking and bad decisions.
The tile floor now closely resembled a a swimming pool, complete with indeterminate objects that I had no intention of inspecting swimming on the surface.
The kitchen counters looked like the world’s largest game of beer pong, cups of various colours and fullness on every available inch of clear space. I didn’t even want to know what was in some of them; the smell of them strong enough to hit you from across the room.
I’d managed to find Steve and Nancy again earlier, though it was clear Nancy was well in her cups, and Steve was trying desperately to stop her from becoming any deeper.
I’d managed to convince her into trying something that didn’t have enough of an alcohol content to sedate a horse, but it seemed Tina had stockpiled just as many mixers as booze; though the former seemed vastly less popular.
I made my way back through the thick of the crowd, wanting to make sure I got Nancy something that’d actually stay down, rather than end up painted across the front of her sweater. I could already see the top of Steve’s hair, rising high above the crowd like a homing beacon; at least it wasn’t completely useless.
“Hey Nance; do you want soda or...” I began, threading through the crowd towards them, when I suddenly realised they weren’t alone.
I felt like I’d walked on set in the middle of one of those Wild West movies my dad liked to watch; the sheriff facing off against the stranger in black.
Billy stood nearly chest to chest with Steve, looking as if he was moments away from flooring him, but at the sound of my voice his focus shifted; his demeanour no less predatory.
“Lola...” He purred, with a smirk that made me feel like he was undressing me with words alone. Up close I could see the evidence of his keg stand running down his tanned chest; slick trails threading between his taught abs.
Still; I kept stony, not trusting Billy in the slightest.
“Hargrove.” I spat; arms crossed over my chest in a way hoped said back off, but may have came across as nervous.
His smirk spread across his face; eyes falling to trail over my body, stopping at all the strategic points along the way.
”Like the costume...” He commented, wetting his lips as if I was desert on a platter. “Just like I imagined.”
I could already figure out exactly what he’d imagined, and I’m pretty sure it didn’t include clothes.
“Thanks.” I forced a smile faker than Tina’s attitude; dry and bitter just like half the booze on offer at this shithole of a party.
Still; Steve wasn’t gonna just stand around whilst Billy stared at me as if I was something from his private Playboy collection; the usurped king was instead experiencing a serious case of white knight syndrome.
“Hey; why don’t you back the hell off...” Steve warned, stepping forwards between me and Billy, so Billy could no longer blatantly leer at me.
It didn’t put his successor off in the slightest; Billy stepping past Steve as if he was an inanimate object to continue to proposition me.
“Why don’t you come and have a dance with me?” He asked with one of those smiles that made Tina turn into a shivering puddle of hormones.
“I’ll pass.” I replied with another dry smile, then turned to make a swift exit before he could come up with another bullshit reason to waste my time and my patience.
“Come on; sweetheart...” He purred, and I felt his hand lock around my wrist; not painfully so, but just firm enough to tell me that I’d leave when he let me, and not a moment sooner.
I gave him a dark look, because really? He was gonna try this with me?
But before I could give him the verbal lashing of a lifetime; Steve beat me to it, ripping Billy’s hand from my wrist with more force than I thought was possible for the doe eyed brunette.
“Dude; she said no!” Steve said, and despite his gentle chastisement; his face and tone told him that he wasn’t messing around.
But neither was Billy. He turned to Steve; his former aggression returning as quickly as it left.
“I’m sorry; I wasn’t aware you were her boyfriend...” Spat Billy; already ready to open an entire new can of worms and with it, let out a whole lot of alcohol infused testosterone.
Steve wasn’t gonna take it; though sometimes I really wish he would.
I really didn’t need saving; I’m goddamn Lola Hopper. Boys like Billy Hargrove should shit themselves when I approached.
But Steve; always the hero, came at him with all the verbal reasoning that Billy had no patience for.
“Just because she’s not my girlfriend; doesn’t mean I’m gonna let you drag her around like-“
But Billy truly didn’t have the patience or the mental capacity. He was half a keg in and looking for a fight.
Steve never got to finish his argument; Billy slamming him hard against the wall like some freshman, and not the previous reigning keg king.
“Excuse me?” Billy growled; his voice low and threatening, and really doing more for me than his sleazy flirting, but I had more important things to worry about than how Billy’s temper was a turn on!
My best friend was about to become an interestingly shaped stain on Tina’s parents’ wallpaper.
“Who the fuck do you think you are, Harrington?” Billy’s voice dropped another octave; his body inches away from Steve’s and although he didn’t touch him,
I knew he was seconds away from knocking the noble idiot unconscious.
Even then, Steve couldn’t take a hint. Always honourable; he was prepared to go down fighting, but I wasn’t ready to see him become a martyr.
“Billy; I’ve changed my mind...” I quickly thought on my feet, slipping between the two of them in the vain hope that the possibility of physical contact on the table was enough to shake Billy out of his rage.
“I think I want that dance...” I forced a pretty smile, grabbing his wrist softly in the hope he might unclench his fists in favour of touching me again.
It wasn’t working. Billy was far too worked up; it was if I was invisible. So I moved a bit closer; letting my body brush up against his as I slipped my hand down to grab his.
“Come on; Billy. He’s not worth it...” I whispered; my voice just husky enough to hold a little promise.
“But I might be...” I gave him an impish smile; all raw sexuality and desire, one that I’d of previously thrown up at the prospect of exchanging with Billy Hargrove.
To my great relief; he relaxed, his shoulders lowering and his jaw unclenching. His hand wrapped around my own, squeezing with just a little bit of pressure; a reluctant retreat on the condition that I upheld my end of the bargain.
I took him by the hand and pulled him away from Steve, heading towards the dance floor and hopefully putting as much distance between the two alphas as possible.
But even now; Steve wouldn’t relent, stepping forward ready to defend my honour.
“Lola; you don’t have to...” He petitioned, as if I wasn’t doing this to protect him.
“It’s fine, Steve.” I reassured him, making the words more forceful than necessary in case his dumb overprotective brain continued to reject self preservation.
But of course; my pushy prospective dance partner couldn’t keep his mouth shut.
“Yeah, Steve; it’s fine.” He mimicked; his smirk so full of venom, I’m surprised it didn’t melt his pretty face off.
At last, Steve relented, letting me lead my volatile pretty boy onto the dance floor without blood on his knuckles.
————————————
Surprisingly; Billy was actually a semi decent dance partner. He kept rhythm well enough and gave me enough room that I didn’t feel he was trying to hump me in front of the whole school.
We were two songs down; “Dancing With Myself” pumping through the overdriven sound system, and I hadn’t once accidentally-on-purpose tried to step on Billy’s toes.
If I was to be painfully honest, and believe me; admitting this was painful, I was actually enjoying dancing with Billy.
When he wasn’t so heavily focused on appearing the bad boy, he was actually pretty cool. He smiled more often; a genuine warm smile that was nothing like that sleazy grin he used on me all the time. He was actually cute.
“Are you feeling alright?” He asked after spinning me under his arm for the third time tonight; and I’m not sure if it was the dizziness or the alcohol, but I was actually beginning to feel giddy.
“Yeah; why?” I replied with a smile; my gaze getting lost in those bright baby blues that were staring at me with something other than lust.
“It’s just; it’s been half an hour and you haven’t threatened to shiv me with a beer bottle...” He joked; yeah, actually joked, with a wide smile on his face.
And God! His face just lit up when he was being genuinely funny and not an ass; and for a split second I was hit with the almost uncontrollable urge to kiss him.
Almost uncontrollable. I reigned it in at the last minute; not trusting my tipsy brain to have that much control, at least not when it came to Billy Hargrove.
I bit my lip instead; feeling an honest to God blush spread across my cheeks.
“Shut up once in a while and it might happen more often...” I retorted, lowering my voice just enough that he could tell his joke hit right.
He just smiled, and my pulse just skipped another beat as he swept me into another spin; happy just to keep his body close to mine for the remainder of the night.

The Lost Boys- Jin
Summer was coming to a close and in a desperate attempt to make the most of what was left there were non stop parties. The Frats and Sororities were in a constant stupor, jocks passed out on lawns, alcohol poisoning in abundance. You didn’t enjoy hanging out with these people but there was always free booze and it was something to do. You craved something different, everything, everyone was the same and you were bored. Your life was predetermined, your style, your friends, your education and career had all been laid out by your parents and you felt trapped.
Sitting on the couch, which was currently in the yard of Alpha Sigma Phi you checked your phone incessantly. There had to be something else better to do, some form of higher intelligence out there on a Friday night.
As if fate could hear you, the seven lost boys showed up. Given the name by the jocks, the boys all lived and hung out together, they didn’t go to school and nobody was really sure what they did to get by.
Their house was just outside of the school district, it was pretty run down and it was unclear if they were squatting or renting the dump. They were outsiders but they didn’t care, they had each other and their friendship was enviable. There was no pretending with them, they did what they wanted and always seemed to have fun regardless of the way they were treated by the college towns hierarchy. Surrounded by rumors and stories of legend, it was as if they didn’t exist as individuals until they found one another. You remembered him though, Jin was the quiet new kid in class, the grade eight transfer student. Hormones running high, all the girls adored him, the beautiful rich boy with dark hair and puffy lips, well dressed and well versed, different than the others. After graduation, his family moved on and you hadn't thought of him again until one day a few months ago you recognized that smile. What had happened, how did he end up in this place with these boys?
Opening the frats door they entered into a world they weren’t welcome in. Shit, this was going to get interesting, watching the windows from your perch outside you checked the time on you phone. It had only been 10 minutes when four of them came walking back out, bottles in hand. Not in a rush to get away they moved to stand under the tree right beside you. Laughing at how easy it was to walk in and take what they wanted, they celebrated their score by passing the bottles out. You must have caught his eye when you laughed at his friend hitting the glass off his teeth, he came and sat down next to you. Twisting open a bottle he handed it to you and smiled while continuing his conversation with his friends. Twenty three minutes in and the remaining three boys came running out of the house. With a stack of pizzas in hand and a knapsack full of bottles, they were chased around the yard by the drunken buffoons of the football team. Standing up to run with his friends Jin turned to you, “Are you coming?” He reached out his hand and throwing caution to the wind you grabbed it and ran.
Stopping in the street a few blocks over everyone was laughing, “are we going home with our loot?” Not sure of who was speaking they were all so loud. Looking at you he smiled, “Might as well, I think we have everything we need for our own party." The squeeze he gave your hand made your heart race, even though you weren’t running anymore he didn’t let it go.
The house was sparsely furnished and it was clearly inhabited by dirty boys but it wasn’t derelict like you’d heard. They laid the pizzas out on the counter and attacked them like they hadn’t eaten in days. Reaching in Jin grabbed a box and handed it to you, stopping to grab a bottle of vodka off the table he nudged you towards the stairs. Unlocking his bedroom door he ushered you in, a mattress on the floor and a dresser piled with clothes were the only things inside. "Sorry, it’s not much, but it's home,” he said. You weren’t sure what the fuck you were doing, why you’d followed him here but you wanted to see where it was going. You put the pizza box on the floor and sat on his bed, he sat beside you, knees touching, he opened the vodka bottle.
"You always used to wear a red sweater with your hair up, I’d sit behind you in class thinking about how cute the three little freckles on your neck were.“ He gathered your hair to the side and ran his finger over them, goosebumps appeared on your skin. "What happened to you Jin, where did you go?” He offered you the bottle of Vodka, “We moved all the time so I never had any friends, even if I liked someone I knew I’d just have to leave. My parents thought that chasing money was worth more than stability and I really resented them for it. I met Yoongi about a year ago and we decided to come live here. I might not have much but I have a roof over my head and friends that are like brothers to me" He raised his eyebrows at you. "What’s your story?” You laughed and took a big drink of vodka, “Everyday is the same as the last and even though I have friends none of them mean anything to me. It’s all about money and status, it’s fake and I hate it" He was staring at you, "I guess we both still need to figure this life shit out, maybe we can help each other.” You smiled at him, “I used to watch you with your books at recess, sitting alone on the hill, your lips moving as you read, I really wanted to kiss you" He hummed, "you should learn to live without regrets, seize the moment.. ” as he spoke you straddled his lap, gripping his hair with both hands you kissed his soft plush lips. He ran his hand through your hair, “How much have you had to drink tonight? I don’t want you to do something you’re going to regret.” You couldn’t help but smile at the question, “I’m good, what about you, how much have you had to drink?” He leaned in “I’m not going to regret a single thing I do to you tonight.”
He let his lips drag up your neck. Reaching down, you gripped the hem of his t shirt and pulled it up over his head, he was built beautifully. Letting your fingers ghost over his abs you stopped when you got to the button on his jeans. Teasing, you looked him in the eye while biting your lip, “I don’t usually do things like this, with strangers I mean” he slid the strap of your tank top off your shoulder, replacing it with kisses. “We aren’t strangers Y/N, this is the second time our lives have connected, there must be some cosmic reason.” His words were enough to make you forget about any modesty you had left. Standing up you you slid your shirt off, he stood to wrap is arms around you unclasping your bra. He pulled you in tighter and pressed you against his bare skin as he moved his tongue over yours. Both of you set to work removing each others pants, he pulled them inside out down the length of your legs taking your panties with them. Getting on his knees he took his time peppering your stomach with tiny kisses that fluttered across your skin. “Lay back” he said taking your hands helping lower you onto the bed. He kissed his way from your stomach down to your thighs and slowly to your center. He opened you with his tongue and took long languid licks. “Fuck, Jin, oh my God” he laughed at the way you were becoming unraveled “Does that feel good Y/N?” You started to say yes when he began sucking your clit softly and only moans could escape you. Clearly his lips were made for eating pussy, his mouth was soft and wet and he moved them expertly. Not being able to control yourself anymore you began thrusting with his motions trying to expedite your orgasm. “You’re so impatient, do you want to cum?” he teased. “Please, I’m so close Jin” he slid two of his fingers into you and surely everyone in the house heard you moan. His motions were slow and deliberate. He knew exactly what he was doing as he gave his fingers a slight curl into you, pumping once, twice and that’s all it took. You came all over his face and fingers and he kept licking, cleaning you up.
Barely giving you a minute to catch your breath, he moved on top of you focusing his attention to your breasts. Using his mouth and his fingertips he teased your nipples. You couldn’t help but grab hold of his hair as the pleasure ran through you like a current. Longing for him inside you made the feeling of emptiness more pronounced. Aching for another release you begged “Please Jin, I want you so bad” you felt his mouth relax into a smile against your chest. Moving up your body he stopped to look you in the eyes, “I want you too” Using one hand to hold yours above your head he used the other to line himself up with your entrance, kissing you softly as he pushed himself in. Wet from arousal, he slid nicely in and out hitting deep inside. Wrapping your legs around his body brought him closer with each thrust. He ground his pelvic bone into your clit until you were moaning into your second orgasam. “Can I cum in you?” he asked with shaky breath. “No, just wait… wait…I’ll take you in my mouth” you panted out. He pulled out of you and flipped onto his back, covered in your orgasam he was hard as a rock and throbbing waiting for you. Wanting to please him you immediately wrapped you mouth around his cock and pumped him with your hand. His abs tensed and his breath was heavy as he shot his cum into your throat. Letting out a cute little “ah, ah” as you swallowed around him he relaxed onto the bed. Pulling you up towards him, you nestled under his arm with your head on his chest. He held your hand over his heart, “I want more of this,” he kissed the top of your head, “not just sex, but you.” You didn’t say anything back, you just slowly drifted off to sleep.
You woke to the sound of people outside the door, one of the boys was trying desperately to get a girl into their room. Jin was laying beside you but facing the wall, his broad shoulders were on full display and you sat taking in the gorgeous sight. Did you really fuck Jin last night? You smiled at yourself, you did, and you didn’t regret it one bit. Moving closer you wrapped your arm over him and snuggled into his back laying a kiss between his shoulder blades. He stirred awake and turned to look at you. “Are you okay?” he asked, you smiled and placed your lips on his, “I think I am now."

Rafael was seated in his usual chair at Forlini’s, having a drink while he worked on his opening statement for the trial beginning in a couple of days. He didn’t expect this one to plead out, which is why he’d worked until 11:00 pm in his office, and was still working on it here. He’d just needed to stretch his legs, maybe get a little change of scenery to keep his mind sharp. Unfortunately, he had the misfortune to sit down and order a drink before he’d noticed Peter Stone down the bar. Stone was currently having a rather heated conversation with a guy Rafael hadn’t seen before. It was distracting, to say the least. One more reason to detest that guy, Barba thought. He was going to have to finish his drink and leave.
He heard a scuffle and looked up to see Stone push the guy he was arguing with. It wasn’t much, just a shove in the chest, but it was clearly intended to start something. Hay, por el amor de Dios. ¿Seriamente?[1] Fortunately for Stone – and Rafael – the guy had the sense to hold up his hands and back up. But he didn’t leave.
Rafael indulged in a major internal eyeroll. How can she be in love with that sodden imbecile? I’d have thought she’d have better taste. He went back to his legal pad and his opening statement. In a fortuitous moment, he happened to hit a groove and forgot everything for a while as he came up with a brilliant analogy to use. If he did say so himself.
CRASH! The sound ripped Rafael back to the present. He looked toward the noise and saw Stone looming over the guy he’d been arguing with, who was now prostrate on the floor with a split lip. ¡Joder! Ever politically-minded, Rafael knew a brewing tabloid headline when he saw one. For the sake of the D.A.’s office, and the reputations of everyone who worked there who wasn’t currently plastered and trying to start a fight, he was going to have to stop this before it started. Barba and Jack, the bartender, reached the combatants at the same time.
Jack stood in front of Stone, wisely not confronting him directly or trying to grab him, simply interposing his body between Stone and the man on the floor. Barba extended a hand to the guy and helped him up, also wise in his choice to position himself at the man’s head so that, when he stood, he was a good six feet from Stone. Barba solicitously helped the man brush off and straighten his clothes, handing him a linen napkin use on his bleeding lip.
“Hey, buddy, you OK? Why don’t you take a seat at this table, and I’ll get you some ice and a drink. OK?”
The man was a little stunned by the whole series of events, and not drunk, as Rafael had naturally assumed. He was a little tipsy, but apparently he was mostly just stupid. Not understanding who Rafael was, but acknowledging to himself that Peter Stone could easily take him in a fight and he needed a graceful way out of this, he acquiesced and sat at a table, facing away from Stone.
Jack had been busy, too. Stone was sitting, shaking his right hand as though it hurt, and appeared to be willing to behave, if not yet calm. Unlike the other guy, Stone was extremely drunk. Blotto. Rafael wondered how long he’d been here. He watched Jack go back behind the bar and put some ice in a towel, then come back down the bar to hand it to Peter for his hand.
“Can I get another one of those, for the other guy? And a Bud Light?” Even in the current circumstances, it was hard for Rafael to order such a thing without a shudder.
When Jack went down the bar to get the ice, Rafael followed him. “I’m going to give you a number. Call Laura Parker. Tell her to get here as fast as she can.”
“Don’t need it, Counselor. I already called her. She should be here soon.”
“Clearly a master of your craft,” Rafael smiled.
“Thanks for your help.” Jack handed Rafael the towel filled with ice and the beer.
“Don’t thank me yet. I still have some rather delicate work to do.”
Rafael gave the ice and the beer to the man, whose name was Carl Dunfee, sympathetically telling him that he’d be back in just a few minutes. Dunfee shrugged. He wasn’t quite sure why the dude was coming back, but whatever. Maybe he owned the bar or something.
Rafael went and stood close enough to Stone to hiss into his ear. Mierda[2], the guy smelled like he had been aged in a cask for twelve years. Not a bad idea, Barba thought.
“You know who I am?”
“Of course I know who you are,” Stone slurred, annoyed.
“Then you know that you pulled that stunt in front of the wrong witness. So listen to me, and listen well. I’m only going to say this once. I am going to try to keep your ass out of a sling. You don’t deserve it, and I’m sure as hell not doing it for you. I may not be able to do it at all. That moron gets the idea he’s got your balls in a vise and a tort case worth some money, your life as you know it is over. Understand?”
Stone huffed and drank the last of whatever he had been overindulging in. He didn’t look at Barba, but he had the sense – no, simple survival instinct, Barba thought, this booze-soaked git had no sense, at least at the moment - not to speak.
“So you are going to sit here, and you are going to keep your mouth shut. You will do nothing. Nothing, you understand? And when Laura gets here, you are going to leave without a word.”
“Laura’s coming here?” The look on Stone’s face was deep chagrin coupled with what could only be called fear. He looked as if Barba had announced he’d called Stone’s mother. Stone was still spoiling for a fight, the way only drunks can be, but Rafael’s threats appeared to have penetrated the alcohol fog, at least for now.
“And if you give her one instant of trouble, if you make one more asinine move tonight, I will instruct her to arrest you and you’ll spend the night in the drunk tank. Clear?”
Stone again chose not to respond, but looked daggers at the bar in front of him.
One down, one to go.
“Sorry, man. I know that guy. He can be a dick. My name is Rafael.”
“Carl. Dunfee.”
Rafael purposely hadn’t given his surname and was careful not to use his usual firm, take-control handshake. He wished he had casual clothes on, but at least he’d hung his jacket and vest up in his car. “What was that about, Carl?”
“Guy’s a blowhard. Thinks he knows baseball.”
“Baseball.” It took all Rafael’s strength not to express his exasperation.
“Yeah. And he hit me, man! Look at this.” He showed Rafael the towel, which had a fair amount of blood on it. His lip, though swollen, looked like it had stopped bleeding.
“C’mon, man. It’s not that bad.”
Dunfee was a bit disappointed in Rafael’s reaction to his injury. “Dude punched me!”
“Yeah, I saw that. But he’s pretty soused. Between you and me, I’m surprised he didn’t miss you entirely. Lucky for you, it was such a feeble attempt.”
“He knocked me down.”
Rafael laughed, as though the guy had taken a pratfall for his amusement. “Yeah. Wish I’d have had my camera out. You shoulda seen your face!”
Laura arrived at that moment, wearing clingy but faded sweatpants and that tattered old jeanjacket of hers over a plain white T-shirt. She looked like she’d been in bed when Jack had called and hadn’t bothered to brush her hair before running out the door. Rafael shook his head to stop the image of Laura in bed from fully forming in his mind. She walked over to Stone and an agitated, whispered conversation ensued. She tried to take his arm as though to escort him out, but he pulled his arm away and didn’t move.
Carl Dunfee was beginning to feel like a little bit of a fool. Had he looked stupid falling down like that? He’d had the idea that he’d been brutally punched and violently knocked to the floor, like a Schwarzenegger movie. But this Rafael seemed to have seen something different. Maybe it seemed worse than it was. He’d been thinking maybe he could sue the guy, or the bar, but he didn’t want to look like a pussy.
“Yeah, guy’s big, but he hits like a girl,” Carl tried.
“I’m not surprised, pretty boy like that,” Rafael smirked.
“Right?” Carl was warming up to the idea that nothing much had happened, because that drunk guy in the suit wasn’t so tough.
As they made small talk, Rafael watched Laura plead quietly with Stone, then get angry, then go back to pleading. Stone was getting louder again.
Rafael stood up. This was getting really fucking old. “Hey, looks like your friend’s giving his girlfriend a little bit of trouble. I’m going to see if I can help out. Nice to meet you.”
“Yeah, I’m going to get out of here. See ya’,” Carl said, giving a dismissive head toss in Stone’s direction as though to mock his idea that he could hurt Carl.
Just in time, Rafael thought. He stepped over to where Laura was standing next to Stone, who still sat on his barstool. He put on his most severe Senior A.D.A. face.
“Tell me you are not refusing to leave,” he snarled at Stone.
Closer up, he could see that Laura had tears in her eyes.
“What’s it to you?” Stone whined irritably.
“Your entire career. Because unless you walk out of here right now, I’m going to have you arrested for drunk and disorderly, assault and battery, and anything else I can think of while you’re drying out at the Tombs. I seriously dislike having to repeat myself.”
“Fuck you,” Stone muttered, but he got up from his barstool.
Laura mouthed “Thank you” behind Stone’s back with look of tired, discouraged gratitude. Rafael acknowledged it with a nod and watched them walk out the door. He waited to see them get into the cab, or whatever car had brought Laura, but they stood on the sidewalk, Laura looking both ways down the street. Her back was to him, but he thought he saw her wipe a tear. As she pulled out her phone, Rafael went out the door to stand next to her.
“What?”
“I told the Uber guy to wait, said I’d pay him in cash for the time. I should’ve known he wouldn’t when he made me end the trip here. He said something about getting more money if there and back was two trips. Fuck!” She was clearly barely holding it together.
“Stay here. I’m around the corner. Give me five minutes.”
The exhausted, defeated look on her face tore at him. He actually caught himself starting to reach out to her to comfort her. He cleared his throat and went back in to pay his tab and collect his things.
When he pulled his car to the curb outside the front entrance of Forlini’s, he could see that things were still tense between Laura and Stone, but he seemed to be fading. What an asshole. If he passed out and made Rafael drag his sorry ass into his apartment…
The drive to Stone’s apartment building was quiet except for Laura’s occasional directions to Rafael. Stone was still apparently conscious, but in that pie-eyed state where it’s hard to make sense of what’s happening. Quel asno[3].
Due to the late hour, and the fact that it was a weekday, Rafael was able to pull up in front of Stone’s building. When Stone tried to get out, he lost his balance just outside the car, causing Laura to sigh heavily and get out to help him. Rafael wasn’t sure whether he was supposed to help, too, until he saw how heavily Stone was leaning on Laura, and how much trouble she was having getting him to the door. Stone was huge compared to her. Rafael swore colorfully and got out.
He stepped up to Stone’s side, opposite Laura, and put Stone’s other arm around his neck, so that he and Laura were supporting Stone between them. Stone was so out of it now that he said nothing all the way up to his apartment door. Rafael noticed with a painful pang that Laura had the key to Stone’s apartment on her key ring. For just a moment, he flashed back on the night he had taken his own key back from her. At this moment, she looked about as miserable as she had that night.
They dragged Stone to his bed, where Laura pulled off his jacket and tie before they let him fall gracelessly onto the mattress. Laura silently lifted his legs onto the bed, removed his shoes, propped him on his side with some pillows, and covered him. Then she went to the bathroom, coming out with a glass of water, a bottle of aspirin, and a towel. Every move was automatic and efficient. Practiced.
“How many times have you done this?” Rafael couldn’t stop himself from asking. He was appalled.
She didn’t answer. Instead, she opened a door just outside the bedroom, took a bucket from what looked like a linen closet, and set it down next to the bed.
“OK,” she said, her voice a quiet sigh. Rafael followed her back out of the dark apartment and they silently returned to his car.
As they drove, Laura began to wipe tears from her eyes. At first, she tried to be surreptitious about it, but they were soon falling too fast for her to do anything but pull a tissue from her jacket and wipe them. Glancing over, Rafael could see that she was biting her lip, and appeared to be trying to hold her breath. One quiet sob escaped her.
Rafael stroked her hair, just once, and said, “Go ahead and cry. There’s no one here to hear you.”
At that, she covered her face with her hands and bent double, huge sobs beginning to wrack her body. Rafael reached over and opened the glove compartment, pulling a small packet of tissues from it and handing them to her. She continued to cry uncontrollably, long periods of loud, staccato cries mixed with gasps for air and moans of despair. It wasn’t until they turned into Rafael’s parking garage that she regained enough control to sit back up, groaning loudly, head on the headrest and eyes toward heaven.
“This is so humiliating,” she choked. “I just… I can’t do anything! He won’t talk to me, he won’t listen. And I hate that you saw him like that. That’s not who he is.”
Rafael pulled the car into his parking spot and turned off the engine. He leaned over, put a hand on either shoulder, and pulled her into his arms across the storage box, cupholders, and gearshift that divided the seats. She rested her head on his shoulder, then buried her face in his chest as she began crying in earnest once again. He just held her, stroking her back and her hair. He occasionally brushed a kiss across her hair, wanting nothing more than to crush her to him.
He had no idea what to think. How long had it been this bad? How many times had she been called to take Stone, drunk and belligerent, out of a public place? He understood, from what she had told him, that she felt like she owed it to him for her own past behavior toward him. He could also see tiny glimpses, a touch here, a look there, a well-deserved retort that was nonetheless bitten back, that she truly, genuinely cared for Stone. But, even to Rafael’s jaded and suspicious eyes, it didn’t look like there was anything romantic or sexual between them anymore.
He let her go as soon as she quieted and began to push away from him.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered. “This isn’t your problem.”
“Let’s get you home,” he replied gently.
When they got out to the street to walk the block to their apartment building, Rafael wondered whether she would let him take her hand. Probably not. She had her hands in the pockets of her jeanjacket, anyway. The late October air had a definite bite to it, this late at night.
“Thank you, Rafael,” Laura said sheepishly as he held the building’s door open for her. “I don’t know what I would’ve done without you.”
“I’m glad I could help,” he said, daring to grasp her shoulder lightly for a brief moment. “You did save my life a while back.”
Her small exhale couldn’t really be counted as a laugh, but he was glad he’d lightened the mood even a fraction. They entered the elevator when it arrived, and pushed the buttons for their floors. When the doors closed, Laura crossed her arms across her body, hands on her waist, as though trying to give herself a comforting hug. Rafael couldn’t stand that small, sad, lonely gesture. He stepped toward her and took her into his arms. She immediately put her arms around him. As the elevator slowly climbed, they stood together, just sharing the warmth of closeness.
“I’ll walk you to your door,” he said into her hair as the doors opened at Laura’s floor. He walked close beside her down her hallway, offering whatever comfort his presence would be to her.
She opened her door when they reached it, then, standing just inside, turned to him. Taking his hands in hers, she looked up at him. “I don’t have words to tell you how much I appreciate… everything you did tonight. Thank you.”
“That’s what friends are for,” he said, looking down at her with such adoration that her eyes were pulled to his, becoming locked into his gaze. She wanted to stay there, with him looking at her like that - like he cared for her, like she was precious to him – forever. She felt her soul filling with something that it had been starving for. He drank in this contact, this connection he’d been aching for, with a thirst that consumed him. Just looking into her eyes couldn’t fill his heart fast enough. He took a tiny step toward her, leaning in, so slowly she could hardly believe it was happening until their lips touched softly.
Standing in her doorway, holding hands, they shared a soft, tender kiss that was far too important, too full of meaning and shared emotion, to have much to do with sex.
When it was right, their lips parted, and they stood close together, foreheads touching.
“Feliz noche.[4]” Rafael whispered.
“Dulces sueños.[5]” Laura answered.
He squeezed her hands and turned down the hall, taking the stairs to his own apartment.
Somehow, they both understood that the kiss hadn’t changed anything. It had simply confirmed that, regardless of the hash they’d made of things, the bond they shared was unbreakable. It was Rafael’s way of being there for Laura, and Laura’s way of accepting. Neither of them expected to be able to go to bed with quiet minds and sleep contentedly. But they did.
[1] Oh, for the love of God. Seriously?
[2] Shit
[3] What an ass.
[4] Good night.
[5] Sweet dreams.

I felt like I was in some kind of cheesy soap opera where different storylines are happening all at once and it clips through all of them. Just so I’m not jumping all over the place I’ll keep the stories grouped together, but just know that they were all intertwined and happening at the same time.
So.... I’m in a kind of old school hotel and there are chandeliers hanging and gold accents on the walls as I walk over to the bottom of a big ass staircase. The stairs are covered in dark green carpet and the walls are wooden as they lead all the way up into the narrow and tall building. I’m walking on them when I run into a naked guy who’s staying at the hotel. He isn’t like a perv or anything- it was kinda like he just got poofed into the staircase and then was nearly unconscious, so I grab his arms and am trying to help him. He isn’t responding so I drag him up and down the stairs looking for his room to take him back. As I’m getting close to his room a little girl comes to investigate and I tell her to stay away because that kind of scene is just all kinds of bad. Her mom comes around the corner and is very sweet and casual and tells me ‘she’s just curious and won’t be any trouble’. So the kid just kinda hangs back while I find the guy’s room and push him into it and onto the bed. When I come out of the room she’s just standing there and gives me a thumbs up.
I end up at this press conference/party/movie promo thing and across the venue I see Jason Momoa and Henry Cavill. Quentin Tarantino is also with them but for some reason he isn’t in Quentin’s body, he is physically manifested as Gerard Butler but I know that it isn’t actually Gerard, it’s Tarantino.
I’m kinda watching them all moving around each other doing interviews and chatting and I kinda of make out that Tarantino (in Gerard Butler’s body) and Jason Momoa are together. Like, romantically. Which makes no sense because they’re both married but still. They’re very subtle but also blatant, making out and grabbing each other when people aren’t paying attention.
I’m sitting at a table with a computer in front of me and they’re goin about their business. Tarantino/Gerard comes and sits across from me. He tells me to put my hand flat on the table and I do. is sitting across from me. He tells me to make it flatter and I kinda laugh because that’s as flat as it goes. He kinda grins and then, as a show for me, he pretends to get angry. He tells and makes a big scene and I get all giddy because I love seeing them mad but I never get the chance because they’re legit super chill.
People rush over to make sure everything is fine and he gets up and winks at me as he walks away with people on his ass. I’m just sitting there all swoony and turned on and my sis comes over to ask if I’m ok. I tell her I’m great and then Henry Cavill comes over and starts flirting with me. He’s holding my hand, pressing up against me and whispering to me and shit and then he tells me that I should join them.
I ask, ‘Join who?’ and he nods over at Jason and Gerard. They’re now almost fully naked and making out and grabbing each other dick’s and shit. Henry kisses me and hands me a camera and I end up doing a shoot of the two of them while Henry encourages me. I wink and tell Henry that he should go join them so he strips off his shirt and goes over there. He’s behind them, leaning over the two of them and the three of them are kissing as I take pictures. They’re all egging me on, telling me that I need to come join them after I have my fun with the camera.
At this point the paparazzi has caught on and people are watching and just as they go to take off their underwear and go at it the fucking memory card runs out. I yell and giggle that the card is full and they all kinda grin with each other like ‘oh, well. show’s over’ and people disperse.
I’m sad that I didn’t get to actually see them together or join in. Henry comes over and kisses me and they promise I’lll get my chance. He escorts me to a small bus/RV thing and I get chartered away.
The RV is driving through the foothills around my hometown and the sights are awesome. Gerard/Tarantino and Henry are no longer there but my twin is with me and Jason is in the front driving. I fall asleep in the bed in the back and after a while my sister wakes me up and asks what’s going on. I tell her that Jason is just driving us around but that he’s uncomfortable in his clothes so he’s gonna change. We look up to the front and he takes off his shirt and changes it into a tank top. He winks back at me and I tell her that he’s gonna change again and then without us actually being able to see past his shoulders he takes off his pants and undies to put new ones on and when he does the horn honks because his dick is so big that it hits it. We all laugh and I kinda swoon and he keeps on driving before stopping on the side of the road at a church.
I’m on my phone scrolling through the news and come across a headline - Dax Sheppard sells black nipples to local church - and I’m totally flabbergasted by it. When the bus comes to a stop I look out the window and we’re in front of said church in the article. I’m shocked and go in to investigate. It’s a TINY little thing and there’s only a keyboard and like 4 chairs and a small desk. It looks more like an office than it does the inside of a church, but on the one wall made of a glass window there’s this cast iron design thing that is fabricated against the glass. It’s meant to be decorative/like a screen and it’s small black swirls with little beads at the end and that’s what they claim look like nipples. It kinda does if you squint, but it’s actually really pretty and well designed and I get super pissed off. The whole article is just a bunch of assholes looking for a reason to talk shit and spread rumors about celebs.
I’m pissed off and I leave the church but when I get outside the bus is gone. Instead there’s a big truck, like a Ram 2500 with a big ass pool connected to it on a trailer. There are some white ladies in their mid 40s that had gone to see the church. They’re all sitting around the edge of the pool with their feet in the water, commenting on it and judging, talking shit about Dax and how he should be ashamed of himself and that the church should sue him.
I’m still stuck here and they’re about to leave so I hop on the trailer with them and just stay quiet as they keep talking all kinds of shit. The conversation shifts and they’re talking about lactose intolerance and I pipe up and mention a brand of soy milk I like. They don’t know what it is so we pull up to a Costco and I try to find it in there. They don’t sell that brand so then I tell them that they can probably just get it at their local store and I write it down for them.
They thank me and drop me off at my aunt’s home. My mom and grandma are there and they let my childhood dog out into the backyard to pee. My sister, Joanna, and her husband show up and we’re all just hanging out on the back patio. From there we can see into the desert around the yard and there’s a coyote pup that’s lost and wandering around. My sis goes out and lets it into the yard, brings food and water for it. We warn her against it but she does it anyway and over the next few days she keeps feeding it.
My twin, Cassy, comes over a couple days later and talks about the dangers and liability of coyotes from a legal standpoint. She tells Joanna that if it attacks someone that she’ll be liable because she took it in and even though it’s domesticated now, it’s still a ‘dangerous breed. Cassy goes on explaining the ‘percentage of guilt’ you have in the attack based on the number of bite wounds multiplied by the about of blood vessels on the human in the area where the coyote bit them. She uses our grandma as an example, saying that if the coyote attacks Ama then Joanna will be fully guilty and responsible for her death, legally and insurance wise. We’re all a little uncomfortable talking about Ama dying (because in waking life she is dead) and then Cassy and I are in the front of an apartment complex.
We’re talking about people we went to school with and some guys pop up, but he’s of little importance. As the conversation continues we end up at a party and a different guy we went to school with, JP, shows up. He’s talking to me and Cassy and one of our friends and he’s being very sexual and flirting heavily with all of us. They’re a little weirded out but I’m kind of into it because I had a big crush on him way back when. He keeps talking to me and suggests we hang out, implying that we fuck. Cassy tells me I should be wary of him because he's a swinger or some shit and is always looking for some kind of polyamorous situation to be in.
I tell her that that doesn’t bother me and I’m actually into that. I tell her about the thing I had with Jason, Gerard/Tarantino, and Henry. She says that if I’m into it then go for it, but be careful.
I text JP saying hi and he instantly starts apologizing for how he acted, saying he was stupid and boozed up. I tell him it’s ok and that I actually want to talk to him about it in person. He suggests a date at a restaurant but I’m busy the date he suggests, so I ask about meeting at his house later that night, keeping it low key and casual. He agrees but I can tell that he’s scared. He thinks I’m gonna report him for sexual harassment or something when really I’m planning on getting romantically/sexually involved with him.
He agrees to the date at his place and then I’m at home in my closet looking for clothes. I am nervous and actively thinking ‘you might lose your vcard, what do you wanna wear in case you’re no longer a virgin after tonight’ and then I wake up.

Jin: The Lost Boys Series
Summer was coming to a close and in a desperate attempt to make the most of what was left there were non stop parties. The Frats and Sororities were in a constant stupor, jocks passed out on lawns, alcohol poisoning in abundance. You didn't enjoy hanging out with these people but there was always free booze and it was something to do.
Given the name by the jocks, the boys all lived and hung out together, they didn't go to school and nobody was really sure what they did to get by.
Their house was just outside of the school district, it was pretty run down and it was unclear if they were squatting or renting the dump. They were outsiders but they didn't care, they had each other and their friendship was enviable. There was no pretending with them, they did what they wanted and always seemed to have fun regardless of the way they were treated by the college towns hierarchy. Surrounded by rumors and stories of legend, it was as if they didn't exist as individuals until they found one another.
Opening the frats door they entered into a world they weren't welcome in. Standing up to run with his friends Jin turned to you, "Are you coming?" He reached out his hand and throwing caution to the wind you grabbed it and ran.
Stopping in the street a few blocks over everyone was laughing, "are we going home with our loot?" Not sure of who was speaking they were all so loud. Looking at you he smiled, "Might as well, I think we have everything we need for our own party." The squeeze he gave your hand made your heart race, even though you weren't running anymore he didn't let it go.
The house was sparsely furnished and it was clearly inhabited by dirty boys but it wasn't derelict like you'd heard. They laid the pizzas out on the counter and attacked them like they hadn't eaten in days. Reaching in Jin grabbed a box and handed it to you, stopping to grab a bottle of vodka off the table he nudged you towards the stairs. Unlocking his bedroom door he ushered you in, a mattress on the floor and a dresser piled with clothes were the only things inside. "Sorry, it's not much, but it's home," he said. You weren't sure what the fuck you were doing, why you'd followed him here but you wanted to see where it was going. You put the pizza box on the floor and sat on his bed, he sat beside you, knees touching, he opened the vodka bottle.
"You always used to wear a red sweater with your hair up, I'd sit behind you in class thinking about how cute the three little freckles on your neck were." He gathered your hair to the side ran his finger over them, goosebumps appeared on your skin. "What happened to you Jin, where did you go?" He offered you the bottle of Vodka, "We moved all the time so I never had any friends, even if I liked someone I knew I'd just have to leave. My parents thought that chasing money was worth more than stability and I really resented them for it. I met Yoongi about a year ago and we decided to come live here. I might not have much but I have a roof over my head and friends that are like brothers to me" He raised his eyebrows at you. "What's your story?" You laughed and took a big drink of vodka, "Everyday is the same as the last and even though I have friends none of them mean anything to me. It's all about money and status, it's fake and I hate it" He was staring at you, "I guess we both still need to figure this life shit out, maybe we can help each other." You smiled at him, "I used to watch you with your books at recess, sitting alone on the hill, your lips moving as you read, I really wanted to kiss you" He hummed, "you should learn to live without regrets, seize the moment.. " as he spoke you straddled his lap, gripping his hair with both hands you kissed his soft plush lips. He ran his hand through your hair, "How much have you had to drink tonight? I don't want you to do something you're going to regret." You couldn't help but smile at the question, "I'm good, what about you, how much have you had to drink?" He leaned in "I'm not going to regret a single thing I do to you tonight."
He let his lips drag up your neck. Reaching down, you gripped the hem of his t shirt and pulled it up over his head, he was built beautifully. Letting your fingers ghost over his abs you stopped when you got to the button on his jeans. Teasing, you looked him in the eye while biting your lip, "I don't usually do things like this, with strangers I mean" he slid the strap of your tank top off your shoulder, replacing it with kisses. "We aren't strangers Y/N, this is the second time our lives have connected, there must be some cosmic reason." His words were enough to make you forget about any modesty you had left. "Lay back" he said taking your hands helping lower you onto the bed. He kissed his way from your stomach down to your thighs and slowly to your center. He opened you with his tongue and took long languid licks. "Fuck, Jin, oh my God" he laughed at the way you were becoming unraveled "Does that feel good Y/N?" You started to say yes when he began sucking your clit softly and only moans could escape you. Clearly his lips were made for eating pussy, his mouth was soft and wet and he moved them expertly. Not being able to control yourself anymore you began thrusting with his motions trying to expedite your orgasm. "You're so impatient, do you want to cum?" he teased. "Please, I'm so close Jin" he slid two of his fingers into you and surely everyone in the house heard you moan. His motions were slow and deliberate. He knew exactly what he was doing as he gave his fingers a slight curl into you, pumping once, twice and that's all it took. You came all over his face and fingers and he kept licking, taking it all.
Barely giving you a minute to catch your breath, he moved on top of you focusing his attention to your breasts. Using his mouth and his fingertips he teased your nipples. You couldn't help but grab hold of his hair as the pleasure ran through you like a current. Longing for him inside you made the feeling of emptiness more pronounced. Aching for another release you begged "Please Jin, I want you so bad" you felt his mouth relax into a smile against your chest. Moving up your body he stopped to look you in the eyes, "I want you too" Using one hand to hold yours above your head he used the other to line himself up with your entrance, kissing you softly as he pushed himself in. Wet from arousal, he slid nicely in and out hitting deep inside. Wrapping your legs around his body brought him closer with each thrust. He ground his pelvic bone into your clit until you were moaning into your second orgasam. "Can I cum in you?" he asked with shaky breath. "No, just wait… wait…I'll take you in my mouth" you panted out. Letting out a cute little "ah, ah" as you swallowed around him he relaxed onto the bed. Pulling you up towards him, you nestled under his arm with your head on his chest. He held your hand over his heart, "I want more of this," he kissed the top of your head, "not just sex, but you." You didn't say anything back, you just slowly drifted off to sleep.
You woke to the sound of people outside the door, one of the boys was trying desperately to get a girl into their room. Jin was laying beside you but facing the wall, his broad shoulders were on full display and you sat taking in the gorgeous sight. Did you really fuck Jin last night? You smiled at yourself, you did, and you didn't regret it one bit. Moving closer you wrapped your arm over him and snuggled into his back laying a kiss between his shoulder blades. He stirred awake and turned to look at you. "Are you okay?" he asked, you smiled and placed your lips on his, "I think I am now."

How the Mighty Fall
Fandom: Supernatural
Summary: Castiel doesn’t realize until it’s too late that he’s fallen in love and given himself to you. He finds that he does not mind this at all.
Quick facts: Romance – Castiel/Reader – Nondescript Reader
Warnings: They/them for gender-neutral pronouns, fluff, Cas is a cutie, 2nd person but the viewpoint is from Cas’s perspective, fluff, fluff, fluff, a healthy maple tree’s worth of sap
Words: 3139
A/N: I have been working towards this story for so long trying to make it work and I think I got it. I really just wanted a fic of Cas being real cute and sweet, so here, have Cas/Reader falling in love fluff. My god, the sap, you guys. I hope you like sap. Title is from the Fall Out Boy song which lyrically doesn’t super match up but tonally works pretty well. (PS: I don’t really know when this takes place but when it comes to my undated TFW stuff I tend to stick around season 4-6ish, so maybe this can work as an alt S6.)
Castiel doesn’t know what to do with himself.
“You okay, Cas?”
“I’m fine,” he says almost immediately. The delay is important, so that one isn’t caught on their lie so quickly. Still, you frown at him like you suspect. But then, you would. You’ve been around the Winchesters for even longer than he has, so you are wise to the tricks that they employ most often. You are intelligent, and clever, and–
“Okay.” You nudge the bottle closer to him but lean in to murmur, “It’s okay if you don’t like it.”
“No, I do like it,” he says and takes a long drink of something he can barely, barely taste beyond the chaos that makes it what it is. Dean snorts into his mug and Castiel shoots him a glare. Sam’s not much better, smirking and chuckling.
You smack Dean’s back hard enough to make the other hunter wince (much to Castiel’s satisfaction). “Lay off, Dean. Some people just don’t like beer.”
“Don’t like your beer,” Dean mutters but when Castiel scowls at him for suggesting that, Dean smirks at him, and Castiel finds himself confused. He expected Dean to get irritated, but Dean just leans back with his pint, still smug. “Maybe Cas just needs a course on what good beer is.”
“Oh yeah? And who’s going to give it? Certainly not you, Dean ‘This-table-isn’t-that-dirty-so-I’m-going-to-lap-up-my-spilled-booze-like-a-Goddamn-dog’ Winchester.”
“Hey, that shit was expensive and I was drunk! You can’t hold that over me forever.”
“Wanna bet?”
As the two of you squabble Castiel takes in the cold dew forming under his hands along the glass surface, the warmth of the summer air around him that has you forgoing your plaid overshirt in favor of a tank top. The way you fan yourself and stretch your neck out, showing much more skin than you usually do. How the smile you’ve been holding back erupts when Dean gets in a particularly good joke and the two of you lean over the table, laughing in delight. It’s probably good he didn’t listen to the joke. He gets so defensive these days, even when he doesn’t mean to, and he wouldn’t trade this memory of you laughing with abandon for anything.
Sam leans in suddenly, making Castiel jerk upright. Sam ignores the flinch– or, hopefully, he doesn’t notice it– and says your name to catch your attention. “What was that beer you were talking about yesterday? Your favorite?”
“Oh.” Your eyes light up as you start talking about your favorite beverage. You’re so passionate about it that Castiel tries desperately to follow along, but most of it is out of his comprehension. He gathers that it’s seasonal, special enough that people line up for it, and that your eyes take on this nostalgic sheen as you talk about it.
And Castiel knows something about getting what he needs. Gabriel had insisted on ‘showing him the ropes’ when it became apparent he was going to be spending most of his time on earth. Most of those lessons he wishes he could scrub from his consciousness, but this? He might even thank Gabriel for this lesson.
He disappears and comes back with two bottles of what he hopes is the right product. He feels gratified beyond belief when your jaw drops and you stare at the labels. “Cas. Is that what I think it is?”
Castiel stands proudly as he sets the bottles in front of you. He doesn’t miss Dean and Sam flashing smiles at each other and he braces himself. Dean and Sam are two of his very best friends in the entirety of human and angelic history but Father help them if they try to ruin this triumphant moment for him…
“Only two bottles, Cas?” Dean clicks his tongue. “A little stingy, isn’t it? Who gets the share the extra one?”
Castiel moves both bottles closer to you. “Neither are for you.”
“Oh, it’s okay Cas; I’d love to share this,” you say and push one of the bottles over to the brothers. “Here, you guys share one and I’ll share with Cas.”
“I can’t take any. It’s your favorite,” Castiel says as you and Dean take care of the tops. He squints at the discarded bottle cap. He should have thought of that. He thinks you might be impressed by the fact that he can return those to a recycling plant within seconds.
“Come on, at least a sip,” you say. You take a fortifying drink yourself and practically melt into your own smile. “Oh, that’s so good. Here.”
Castiel takes the bottle and tries not to think of how your mouth was just wrapped around the opening. He licks his own lips and places them on one side of the rim, like he can possibly somehow taste you through sweet-sour-bitter and a million divisions within. He takes a small sip, more concerned with dragging his mouth and tongue over the edge, and he licks his lips again. “Delicious,” he says and hands the bottle back to you.
You laugh, but the sound is far from mocking. “You don’t have to humor me, Cas; it’s okay if you don’t like it. It just means there’s more for me.”
“It makes you happy, so I like it very much,” he says.
You are quiet for a moment and he fears it might be too much, but your eyes soften and so does your smile. “Cas…that’s so sweet.”
“You know, sharing a bottle like that is sort of an indirect kiss,” Dean says, leaning in. Castiel is torn between asking him for more details and thinking about taking Gabriel’s cue and snapping him to a deserted island.
You turn your most unamused expression onto the elder Winchester. “You know you and Sam are sharing a bottle, right?”
Dean scowls and Sam almost spits out his drink. “Never mind, doesn’t count,” Dean grumbles and steals the bottle back.
You turn your head and wink at Castiel, to which he returns a small smile. He does wish it had counted. However he finds satisfaction at the end of the night when he flicks his hand to send the bottles to a recycling plant, and you are, indeed, dutifully impressed. The way you smile and thank him makes his chest ache in a way that makes him worry for his body, even though he logically knows whatever it is won't kill him. He doesn’t know what to call this feeling, but he knows enough to realize he’s in trouble.
“Cas?”
Castiel jerks back to the conversation. The motion is miniscule, comparatively, and he doubts anyone noticed. Or, he would, were Gabriel not also here and looking at him inquisitively.
“Are you paying any attention?” Sam asks, one eyebrow quirking upwards.
“Yes,” Castiel says and mentally reviews the pertinent information. A veritable hive of demons, holding onto a holy relic, all–
–You shift in your chair and pull up the jacket that had fallen to expose an old scar running down your shoulder. You’re focused on a page of notes, oblivious to the blip in conversation.
“Cas?” Dean says and shares a grin with Gabriel. Sam shakes his head.
As soon as you start to focus, Castiel shifts his glance to go just slightly behind you to stare at an unremarkable point on the wall. He can still see you, though, how your eyes sharpen just before you look around. “Um, sorry guys; I was looking for that mass trap spell and zoned out. What’d I miss?”
“Oh, nothing much.” Dean leans back, smug smile set in place. “And don’t worry– Cas zoned out too.”
“I did not. I…received a message.” Castiel actively does not look at you.
“Angel radio?” Dean’s smirk grows and Gabriel snickers. Castiel misses the days when they did not get along.
“Yes,” Castiel answers with all the dignity he can muster. Considering how hard he has to work to keep from even glancing at you, he fears there isn’t much left.
“Hmm…” Gabriel knocks on his temple. “Mine must be busted. I didn’t hear anything.”
Castiel glowers at him. “It was private.”
“Oh I bet it was,” Gabriel says in a tone loaded with innuendo.
Castiel is aware he is like a Chihuahua plotting to murder a German Sheppard. Like a Chihuahua, if he bites just right…
“Guys,” Sam implores. “Building full of demons, enough wards to render angels nearly powerless, and an artifact with a ridiculous amount of power they might be close to unlocking. We have less than a day to hit them before they go into hiding again; can we please focus?”
“Sorry Sam,” you say and Castiel echoes the same. Dean and Gabriel grumble but settle into place, and Castiel forces himself to focus.
That goes out the metaphorical window, though, when you lean against him and whisper right into his ear, “Ignore them.”
Castiel can hardly function with you pressed up against him, his skin prickling where your breath hits, but he somehow manages a quick nod nonetheless.
Yes, he is certainly in trouble.
This sort of trouble is almost a respite.
His head is slammed against broken concrete.
Almost.
The raid has gone remarkably well– Gabriel has already absconded with the stone, and the last thing Castiel knows of you is that you, Dean, and Sam are just fine, combing through the wreckage and taking care of the demonic stragglers after the massive exorcism that rocked the foundations and broke most of the wards.
The demon kicks Castiel onto his back.
Most of them.
“What’s wrong Feathers?” The demon sneers and presses its stolen foot onto Castiel’s chest. “Not enjoying the human experience?”
Castiel grunts at the pressure threatening to crack open his chest. “It isn’t so unfamiliar,” he says. Unfamiliar, no; unsettling, yes. There are a great many things to being human that confounded Castiel before, but above all he doesn’t know how humans can go through life so blind. Especially those, like hunters, who interact with demons as they really are. Seeing a smiling human face is so much more unnerving than being able to see the demon for what it truly is. For example, how many eyes does this one have? Does it even have eyes? Can it smell?
In the end it doesn’t matter– it is stabbed through by a familiar blade and the energy of it alights in fire beneath the skin, before it falls, extinguished within its host.
“Cas!” you exclaim and kneel down next to him. When you slip your hand into his it’s all he can do to gather the strength to squeeze back.
“Sam! Dean!” you yell, though he wishes you wouldn’t. He wouldn’t mind being here alone with you, holding your hand, for a little while longer. “Little help here, guys!”
Your voice is so strong, but he can hear the panicked waver. Panic? “Don’t…worry,” he says as Sam and Dean thunder down the stairs. Again, he wishes he could just stay here– he’s not looking forward to this next part.
The three of you get him upstairs to where Gabriel is waiting, almost lounging while standing against a wall, a lollypop in his mouth. Castiel is laid out on the floor, his head resting in your lap, and he allows himself a few moments of bliss before he makes eye contact with Gabriel.
“Should we leave you two alone?” Gabriel asks but his eyes drift down Castiel’s arm and the sucker falls out of his mouth. “Fuck!”
“What is it?” you ask and Dean and Sam come over to lean in as Gabriel, now crouched next to Castiel, studies the brand on his forearm.
“Dark magic. Of course,” Gabriel scoffs but his eyes (again, only the two that Castiel can see, this is very disconcerting) hold genuine concern. “Cassie, this is going to hurt. A lot.”
“I know,” Castiel says. One can claim he says it with somber dignity. He would say he says it with a fearful certainty of the agony that’s to come.
“What’s happening?” you ask at the same time Dean says, “What’s going on?”
“This brand means his grace is twinning with physical matter. It’s making him human, sort of,” Gabriel says. “It’s going to take a lot of work, and hurt like a bitch, but I can undo it. You three need to get out of here.”
“No!” you say and lean over Castiel as if to protect him. “I’ll stay with him.”
“Sorry kiddo but this isn’t something you can hold his hand through. This is going to involve an angel popping out of his skin and archangel mojo at work. Eyes burning; the building itself is probably gonna go,” Gabriel says and squeezes your shoulder. Castiel wishes he could do that; somehow reassure you and keep your face from crumpling the way it does, but he’s so tired…
“Hang in there Cas,” Dean murmurs and pats Castiel’s arm before he goes, and Sam gives him a similar, heartfelt dictum.
You gently set his head on the floor, and then block everything in his sight as you lean over him in an attempted hug. “I’ll be waiting. You’ll be okay Cas; you’ll be okay,” you whisper, sounding more like you’re trying to comfort yourself than reassure him.
“I will,” Castiel says. He feels like he should do something more, but he watches you go until you’re out of sight.
Gabriel sits by him, uncharacteristically quiet as time ticks on. Finally he says, “Are you ready?”
He isn’t, but Castiel nods anyway. “I’ll be fine when this is over,” he reassures his brother.
Gabriel smiles grimly. “On the count of three. One–”
Castiel screams as the world becomes white.
Castiel returns to a world that is both muted, but also…more. His angelic senses are a welcome discovery, but overwhelming still, and he has to pull himself back. The room is nearly empty, and artificially dark, with light peeking through the cracks of broken blinds pulled as taut as one can manage.
His head rests upon a pillow that is cradled in your lap and he listens to your quiet humming for a few seconds before he rasps your name. He sees your throat pulse with a heavy swallow, and the corner of your lips curves just slightly.
“Shh,” you respond and stroke the side of his face so tenderly that his eyes flutter shut on instinct. “Rest, Cas. It’s okay.”
Soft fingers trail down his skin, recently bitten nails catching ever so slightly on barely-there stubble, and Castiel wants– he wants so much he aches and feels almost sick with it.
But he wants, even more, to savor this quiet closeness. He is yours, all of him is yours, and he hopes someday that you can perhaps be his, but for now he floats in this dusty motel room on a hazy afternoon and succumbs to the feeling that he belongs, grace and consciousness, to you, and he sinks into a devotion that he has never quite known before.
“Oh cool!”
“Oh come on!” Dean hollers as you run out into the downpour. “Seriously?!”
Castiel smiles at your enthusiasm and joy as you twirl in the rain and Gabriel laughs the more you and Dean yell at each other.
“You are not getting in my baby like that!” Dean shouts.
“Fine!” you yell back and then wink at Castiel. “Cas, will you give me a ride back?”
“Certainly,” he says, unsure if you can even hear him in the deluge, but your bright smile conveys understanding and Castiel can admit to himself he is smitten by the sight of it.
“Go get ‘em little bro,” Gabriel says and claps his shoulder.
“I will,” Castiel says, and smiles again when he renders his brother speechless for once.
Those three leave and Castiel walks down a covered path to get closer to where you are. He thinks he can just watch and wait, but, like so many things in his existence– in his life, you throw that idea right out. You turn, grin wickedly, and run up to him. He braces himself for water flicked in his direction (why are humans so obsessed with splashing) but you grab his hand and he, of course, relents to whatever you need of him.
“Come on!” you say, unnecessarily; as if he would not follow you everywhere.
You grip his hand to pull him with you, into the rain, and the water doesn’t even enter into his awareness. Nothing does, beyond the feel of your hand clenched around his. When you use your other hand to take his other one as well, he thinks he might take flight, but your smile grounds him.
“You might think this is silly,” you tell him in warning, as though anything can chase him away, “–but I’ve always wanted to try this.”
He doesn’t get a chance to ask what ‘this’ is before you press your lips to his.
When you pull away (too soon his mind, body, and being beg) all he can say is, “oh. Oh.”
You laugh. Hesitancy and fear he had never even noticed slip away and Castiel realizes– just as he has been yours without realizing it, perhaps part of you has been his for almost as long. “Yeah,” you say. “Oh.”
He smiles then, unrestrained, and surprises you both with the ease with which he pulls you flush against his body. “I don’t think it’s silly,” he says and kisses you, open-mouthed to taste, and oh, the press of your body is only made better by the pressure of your lips, your tongue, the mingling of your inherent taste with what little rain can penetrate; the feel of your fingers digging into his shoulders, as though a little more and you could grip his grace itself.
He wants that. He wants to feel all of your body against his, to go deeper, to sink into you and feel you seep into him in return; he wants to wrap his pure essence around your soul and lose himself in a tangle where one cannot find where either of you end or begin, and where no one, not Gabriel, not his Father Himself, can pull you apart.
For now, though, he tempers himself. You pull back with a dreamy smile and it’s all he can do not to lean back in. But he manages.
“Hey.” Your smile becomes a grin. “I have a great idea.”
You are so smart and clever and never is that more apparent than with your suggestion that leads to the two of you in bed, clothed and soaked but limbs entwined, kissing like you have all the time the universe can care to give.
And when Dean walks in and shouts in dismay at the state of his bed, well, that’s just an extra endorsement of your brilliance.
