You said Todd is the boys' protector BUT HEAR ME OUT-

Todd, because of his puppy shelter in the show, should train hell-hounds and just have a shit ton of them. Like, Mrs O'Leary style "overgrown puppies" hell-hounds.

(I can imagine Raph absolutely loving them and wanting to play with them all, Mikey isn't any better, while Donnie is asking Todd questions about their behaviors and biology, and Leo is staying close enough to see them but not close enough to touch because he don't trust that shit)

but I also had an idea here abt how Todd gets the hellhounds from like, Nico cause his dad wants SOMEONE to raise them and Nico suggests Todd, probably after seeing how he takes care of Mrs O'leary

so then Todd basically retires from the whole "protector" and finds a diff job that he loves more think (think like Coach Hedge)

and like, spot on with the reactions of the bros tbh.

I think a few CHB campers (Like Kayla, Harley, Will, Percy, Annabeth (and def Frank & Hazel too)) are just as bad.
