🐹 Which would be your OCs favorite Pokemon? What kind of trainer would they be?

Man, this one is a bit hard, but I was discussing it a bit sort of recently lol Didn't fully settle all of it tho, but there are a lot of different ways to answer it!

Jayce I at least know for sure would be an Ace/Cool Trainer type. Lots of evolved and powerful types pokemon and a decently balanced team. Someone who travels around a lot and had raised his team himself and picked them up from all over as he went. It's been very hard for me to settle fully on his team, but also think he'd actually swap some out for whatever is needed for his next mission and could have more than 6. Did say he might have started with a runt, shiny Nidoran♂ that is now a Nidoking. But also mentioned Haxorus, Toxtricity (amped), Noivern, Grimmsnarl, Obstagoon, Scolipede, Gigalith, Tinkaton, Gyarados... Def want some others for balance, but those are some that first came to mind for him I guess? He'd be one who really wants to keep team balance in mind for advantages and trains them to know how to fight like he did himself but also... those would be his babies and more than just fighting machines. He's going to make them the best they can be! Seems he's mostly drawn to dark, poison, and dragon tho... Lucy I didn't get settled down quite as much still... I think she'd be more drawn to fairy, fire, grass, and water. She might also have a full team since she does a lot of fighting for work. Talked about her having an Aclremie with some blue (not sure which variant tho). She likes cute things, but also would have some powerhouses I think (but a lot of the fairy types ARE powerhouses). Might have had an Eevee that is now an Espeon? Some she might be likely to have could be Breloom, Politoad, Flaafy, Meganium, Mienshao, and maybe Liepard??

Trans neurodivergent Jayce is very important to my heart. I never say autism by name as I only have ADHD (far as I know) and don't want to speak out of line. I just pick up on actual canon traits he has and I'm like "oh, he neurodivergent as hell", and let my readers draw their own conclusions.

I am interested in your BPD Jayce musings though. My limited knowledge of BPD comes from my Bi-polar sister telling me how people constantly confuse and misconstrue the two. I don't know enough about BPD to pick up on things and I'm super curious now. So, if you'd ever like to send some of your musings my way, I'd be very interested to read them. I'm sure it's been made clear that I love Giopara very much and I really like seeing other people's interpretations of him (as long as it doesn't drag him just for existing ugh) and the discussion of his mental health.

(I personally believe his mental health is very poor but that's a story for a different day)

As for Viktor, it has been so heartwarming just how many people have connected with my thoughts on He/They Genderqueer Viktor (or non-binary Viktor, depending on which umbrella term you connect with). He helps me connect with my gender in ways that are so difficult to explain. I'm just so glad that they seem to have a similar effect with others.

There's something I find so comforting about writing Trans Jayce and Genderqueer Viktor being in love. Neither one of them startled or uneasy about the other's bodies (except for the robot parts. that's what Jayce finds weird). Them being able to be intimate (both sexually and non) without it being awkward or "weird".

I personally headcanon that Viktor is amab Genderqueer but they've done so much research on anatomy that they just don't get weird when Jayce's on his period. Jayce doesn't start taking hormones until he's almost out of Academy (he's too busy for side effects), long after Viktor's gone. I think that because no one liked Jayce, no one put up with his attitude enough to teach him how to feel better during his period. He gets horrific cramps that makes his thighs feel like they can't hold his weight, sometimes even mixed with a headache (I get that sometimes and it's misery).

But when Jayce and Viktor start sharing a lab, Viktor picks up on how Jayce never does anything to feel better. Just powers through and keeps working, no matter how miserable his mood and attitude grows. Viktor knows from personal experience that being in pain leads to mistakes so he starts to research. He starts timing when it's going to happen again, leaving Jayce a care package with pain meds, sweets, and a heating pad as well as a note explaining what it's all for. The two don't talk about it but Jayce starts following the instructions every month.

Anyway, back on topic, I'm glad you've been enjoying the posts. If you ever wanna ramble about either critter with me, my inbox is always open. ^^
