lipgloss — spencer reid

Tumblr media
You let out an exaggerated sigh, slumping forward as you rested your chin on your hand. Across from you, Spencer sat at his desk, completely engrossed in his work, the soft scratch of his pencil against paper filling the otherwise quiet bullpen. His brows furrowed in concentration as he made notes in the margins of his case files.
“Spencer,” you whined, drawing out his name. “Do you think Hotch would say anything if I just went home?”
Spencer glanced up at you, his honey-brown eyes softening the way they always did whenever he looked at you.
“I think he might,” he admitted, tilting his head slightly. “But you could always say you weren’t feeling well. Technically, boredom is a form of mental fatigue.”
You let out another sigh, this one even more dramatic. “I’m just so bored,” you groaned, dragging out the last word.
Spencer’s lips twitched in amusement before he returned to his notes. You stared at him for a moment, then perked up as an idea struck you.
“I’m gonna make myself a coffee,” you announced, standing up and stretching. “Do you want one?”
Spencer shook his head with a small smile. “No, that’s okay. But thanks.”
He picked up his pen, going right back to his work. You lingered for a second before stepping closer to his desk, your lips curling into a small, mischievous smile. With no one else in the bullpen, you leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek.
Spencer froze. His pencil slipped from his fingers, rolling across the desk. His head snapped up, his face already turning an unmistakable shade of pink.
Your smile widened. “What?” you teased, tilting your head.
“You—” He blinked rapidly, his blush deepening. “We’re at work.”
“And?” You arched a brow, feigning innocence.
Spencer opened his mouth, then shut it, clearly searching for a response. Finally, he huffed out a quiet laugh, shaking his head before picking up his pencil again.
“You’re impossible,” he muttered, but the small, fond smile on his lips gave him away.
You grinned. Mission accomplished.
You made your way to the break room, yawning as you prepared yourself a much-needed cup of coffee. The scent of freshly brewed caffeine filled the air, and just as you reached for a mug, you heard loud voices echoing from down the hall.
Garcia and Derek.
As you poured your coffee, you caught snippets of their conversation—mostly Derek chuckling about something Garcia had said, followed by her dramatic gasp. They had obviously just come back from their little break.
By “little break,” they meant sneaking off to grab food somewhere without telling anyone. Classic.
Once your cup was full, you wrapped your hands around the warm ceramic, only to immediately flinch and mutter a curse under your breath. Too hot. You blew on it a few times before deciding to just endure the heat, making your way back to the bullpen.
The second you stepped inside, you were met with two pairs of wide, mischievous eyes locked onto you.
“Oh my god, it is hers,” Garcia said, practically vibrating with excitement.
You froze mid-step, raising an eyebrow. “Uh… what?”
Your gaze flickered between them and Spencer, who was now sitting at his desk, very clearly avoiding eye contact. His ears were turning a suspicious shade of pink.
Slowly, you walked over to your desk, setting your coffee down as you eyed them warily. Garcia and Derek were standing on either side of Spencer’s desk, arms crossed, looking like they had just cracked some kind of case.
“Okay,” you said cautiously, dragging the word out. “Why are you all looking at me like that?”
Silence.
Spencer, still blushing, pretended to be very, very interested in his paperwork. Garcia and Derek, on the other hand, exchanged a knowing glance before Derek let out a low chuckle.
“You sneaky little thing,” he teased, shaking his head.
“What are you talking about?” You sat down slowly, still staring at them like they’d lost their minds.
Garcia gasped dramatically. “Don’t play innocent! We know what you did.”
Your heart skipped a beat. “What—?”
Derek smirked, arms crossed over his chest like he’d just won the lottery. “Your lip gloss.”
You blinked. “What about my lip gloss?”
As if on cue, your lips instinctively pressed together, feeling the slight tackiness of the gloss you’d applied earlier. Garcia let out an exaggerated sigh, shaking her head.
“You left a mark,” she said dramatically. “A very clear mark, right on Dr. Reid’s cheek.”
Panic surged through you.
Your eyes darted to Spencer, then to Garcia and Derek, then back to Spencer again. He was already looking at you, and now it all made sense—the blushing, the way he had been avoiding your gaze, and the way Garcia and Derek were practically bouncing with glee.
Oh. Oh god.
You leaned in slightly, taking a closer look. And there it was. A faint but unmistakable pink smudge on his cheek.
Spencer huffed, finally speaking up. “She’s not letting me wipe it off,” he accused, nodding toward Garcia.
Garcia gasped, placing a hand over her heart in mock offense. “Excuse you, Doctor! It’s called preserving evidence.”
Derek chuckled. “Yeah, man. We gotta document this. It’s not every day you get physical proof that you two are—”
“Shh!” you hissed, eyes widening as you quickly glanced around the bullpen.
Your relationship with Spencer was still a secret, and the last thing you needed was someone overhearing this conversation. You shot both Garcia and Derek a glare, but they were absolutely thriving off of your reaction.
“Relax, sweetheart,” Derek teased. “It’s just us.”
You turned back to Spencer, who was looking at you expectantly, silently pleading for help. With a sigh, you grabbed a napkin from your desk, stepping closer to him. His eyes flickered to yours as you hesitated for just a second before reaching out, gently swiping at the mark on his cheek.
His skin was warm beneath your touch.
You tried to focus, but you could feel Garcia and Derek’s eyes burning into you.
“There,” you murmured, inspecting his face. The lip gloss was gone, but his blush? Very much still there.
Garcia clapped her hands together. “Awww, that was adorable.”
Derek grinned. “Man, if y’all think you’re still fooling anyone—”
Spencer groaned, pushing his glasses up his nose. “Can we please move on?”
Garcia waved him off. “Fine, fine. But just know—this isn’t over.”
She and Derek finally turned away, giggling to themselves as they walked off, no doubt already plotting their next round of teasing.
You sighed, rubbing your temples before glancing at Spencer. He still looked flustered, but there was a small, barely-there smile on his lips.
“You okay, genius?” you asked softly.
He nodded, exhaling as he glanced at you. “You know they’re never gonna let this go, right?”
You sighed dramatically, shaking your head. “Yeah. We’re doomed.”
Spencer chuckled, and despite everything, you couldn’t help but smile too.
Even if Garcia and Derek were onto you, at least work wasn’t boring anymore.

june 9, 2021.
"if.. if i were to disappear, someday.." the tired girl beside you murmured, "..would you wait for me?.."
the unexpected question made you shake off your exhaustion, you tilted you head upwards at your lover, "sae.. what are you saying?" you bat your lashes at her in disbelief. a weary smile plastered across your face. unsure of the true meaning behind the query.
"don't ask, just answer." she retorted, a different emotion you had never seen before from her laced her voice. was it.. fear?
you were both in the living room sofa legs and arms tangled together, bodies intertwined at your tight, shared apartment. your stomach begins to twist more and more with each second you spent overanalyzing the question.
"really, sae-byeok? you ask such weird-" you forced a giggle before sae-byeok stops you.
"please.. please. just answer." there was a tinge of irritation in her voice, something was definitely wrong.
you mustered up every bit of strength left in your body to answer. "yeah! of course i would silly.. i'd wait for you in every single lifetime." you smiled innocently.
the short-haired girl beside you tore her gaze away from the tv that was playing your beloved soap opera. you noticed her eyes were practically bulging out of her sockets, her eyes fixated on you with furrowed eyebrows. her lips curled into a faint frown. it almost looked.. sorrowful. as if she was whispering an apology without a single word.
"what's wrong?" you asked sweetly. eyes tracing the shadows in hers, searching for echoes of emotion.
she didn't say anything — instead, she placed her trembling, cold hands on the nape of your neck and pressed a kiss to your temple, as if sealing a fragile promise.
you hummed in contentment, forgetting about the uncanny conversation you both had as you snuggled closer to her, taking in her scent of cheap cologne and cedarwood, before quietly drifting to sleep.
unbeknownst to your conscious mind, sae-byeok was quietly shuddering and sobbing while cradling you tight. afraid you'd slip away. tears streamed down her constellated cheeks. leaving wet, sloppy kisses on your skin and lips.
with the final gentle peck on the tip of your nose, she slipped away from your loving grasp.
she stepped into the night— into the arms of fate, never to return.

june 21, 2021.
the bright sunlight seeped through the cracks of your blinds, a gentle cascade of gold that pooled on to your messy bed.
you squinted and scratched your eyes at the harsh light, feeling around the covers for your reading glasses. putting them on once you find the pair of spectacles. your under-eyes were painted black, the aftermath of crying the night before, your eyebags told their own story of a broken heart.
oh,
another day.
you thought to yourself.
you turned over to your bedside table, trying to make sense of the neon numbers that flickered on your alarm clock
11.55...
you didn't feel like getting up. there was nothing left to look forward to in life after the disappearance of your one true love. the vibrant colors of life had dulled to a muted grey, just like the hollow ache that filled your chest ever since she walked away, leaving nothing but a lonely apartment and the ghost of her prescence.
but seong gi-hun had other plans.
buzz. buzz. buzz.
he repeatedly pushed the doorbell in front of the door of your apartment with such urgency that not even a normal person would have.
you groaned at the repeated hum of the apartment doorbell, letting out a bitter laugh as you buried your head further into your pillowcase.
"alright.. i'm coming.. i'm coming!" you yelled out from your wrecked bedroom, the hem of your pearlescent night gown caught on the edge of your bed, tugging at you, pulling you back to the reality you didn’t want to face. you groggily shook the loose string off before shuffling your way to the front door.
you swung open the front door to be greeted with an ill looking uncle with an awful red-dye job standing awkwardly with his finger still hovering over the doorbell, as if caught in the act of interrupting your solitude.
"can i help you?" your small hoarse voice rang through the silence. you took notice of your messy hair, running a hand through it trying to smooth it down, but it was hopeless.
"oh.. oh, yeah. are you.." he stammered, glancing down at a crumpled piece of grid paper in his hand. "(y/n)?" the red haired man murmured.
you nodded hesitantly, stomach twisting with an unease you couldn’t place. "yeah. yeah that's me, what is this about?" you tapped your foot rhythmically on the floorboard of your entrance, looking rather agitated and impatient.
"i'm.. seong gi-hun." the man gulped, a pitiful look shined in his eyes. "we need to talk about.. your girlfriend, kang sae-byeok?"
you felt your world crumbling down on you at sound of her name.
the name that used to taste oh, so sweet at the tip of your tongue now felt like an anchor, dragging you under the weight of memories you weren’t ready to face.
sae-byeok? kang sae-byeok. your kang sae-byeok?
what happened to her? how did this man know who you are? how did he find you?
a million different questions stormed your mind as you disassociate yourself from the conversation. all you could do was stare. frozen.
before you knew it, you were seated on the couch, the same one she had left you on that one fateful night.
"she's.. dead. (y/n).."
no.
the weight of his words pressed against your chest. stealing the breath from your lungs. you curled your fingers into fists, knuckles turning white, your long nails digging to the skin of your palms.
"no.. that's- no you're wrong." you let out a shaky breath. "not my sae-byeok. definitely not my sae-byeok. she's not dead.." your voice cracked.
you saw the look in his eyes, a raw emotion radiating from them. the hard, cold news that laid on top of your chest? they punched through, leaving hollow mark on your body.
the absurdity of it all made you bubble up a wild, manic laugh. not long after, a loud sob wracked your body, sudden and violent.
"i-i'm sorry (y/n), i tried my best to save her.. but someone else had already gotten to her first."
you didn't pay attention to gi-hun's words or explanation of the 'games' that they were forced to play for an unbelievable sum of money. your fingers twitched at your sides, grasping at nothing, searching for something—someone—to hold onto. you held onto a piece of her, but all that remained was emptiness.
"she.. she almost made it to the final game, she fought her hardest! she really did. but.. she succumbed to her injuries."
"sae-byeok died in my arms. her final breath whispered your name. she begged me to cling to life, so that in my survival, you might find the closure she longed for.”
a scream built up in your throat, you shook your head frantically at each word that came out of the man.
"why?" you choked, your lips quivering with such intensity. "why.. why didn't she tell me? i would've been by her side."
fat tears started to roll down your face as you sunk into the sofa, "why didn't she tell me she was struggling?"
your cries punctured through gi-hun's heart, emotions welled up inside him.
"i'm sorry.. i'm truly sorry.." he shut his eyes closed, surpressing his tears.
you buried your face in your hands, gi-hun ushered himself by your side, patting your back. as if offering a sliver of comfort in a sea of grief.
sae-byeok..
sae..
her name echoed through your mind, your brain's hard drive overloading with the thought of her.
did she feel alone in her last moments?
did she felt upset? fear? as she slipped into her death?
did she know she’d never see me again?
where did they put her body?
i should've paid more attention to her!
sae-byeok, i'm sorry..
oh cheol.. how am i going to break the news to him?
i'm never gonna see her again! your thoughts wailed
you kept scolding yourself burying your face deeper into your heavy palms. trying to hide from the world.
the world that kept spinning, even after her death.
clink.
you uncovered your face at the sound of a light clink that snapped you out of your spiral.
a gold, antique key presented in front of you by mr. gi-hun.
you looked up at the man, he seemed to be getting ready to leave.
"sae-byeok, she.. she slipped this in the pocket of my tux." gi-hun mumbled.
"she said it opened a chest, somewhere.. somewhere in her study desk."
your heart skipped a beat.
the chest.
it was a medium-sized storage chest that sae-byeok had thrifted a few years back, collecting dust on top of her study desk. it's exterior was wood, now darkened with age, etched with delicate cracks like the veins of an autumn leaf.
gi-hun was already long gone when you finally found the strength to stand on your legs and move towards the chest.
you inserted the icy-cold key into the keyhole, using a hundred percent of your body strength that is left in you, to turn the key and make it creak open. particles of dust flew in the air surrounding you. you hack and cough at the soot.
inside, there laid a black, hard-covered journal that was about 500 pages thick and loose pieces of parchment that you had never seen before.
you traced the journal with such care, as you unlatch the magnet of the book. suspense building up inside of your chest as you are met with the first page.
a knot tightening in your chest.
'kang sae-byeok' written in a familiar, cursive handwriting. your heart ached.
i can't do this, you thought to yourself.
the tears welled up again.
the urge to cry out her name deepens in you. you whimpered at the sight of her messy handwriting. you missed her so much.
you shook off your tears. reaching to flip over to the first entry.
january 3rd, 2019.
the gears on your mind turned, as you try to remember the significance of that date to sae-byeok.
your breath hitched in realization, a wave of emotions engulfed you.
"oh, sae.."

she is going to be a problem.
an awfully loud girl waltzed in to the café today. dressed head to toe in clothes that i would never be caught dead in. her friends stuck by her side like lost, blind puppies.
she ordered chamomile tea with cinnamon ginger biscuit on the side.
despite my silence, despite the way I barely looked up— she spoke to me.
she spoke to me?
i did not want to talk to her.
her eyes crinkles when she smiled, lips curling in a knowing laugh, as if she saw through me, as if she found me amusing.
her friends shared silent laughs and snickers behind her, but she didn’t pay attention too much.
i despise the way she acts.
..
"oh my, are those freckles real..? they're so pretty!" you admired the starry speckles that painted her cheeks. your words too gentle.
sae-byeok was unmoved, untouched.
an embarrassed, hardened expression crept up her face.

she came back again, the loud girl.
but this time, she was alone— quieter, more restrained, a shadow of the girl from before.
from what i've observed, i guess she was just putting on a facade in front of her friends. to.. impress them?
i mean i get it.. kind of.
she still annoys me though.
while i was taking her usual order, she gave me her name.
..
"(y/n)" you said softly, your fingers brushed the warm cafe counter.
sae-byeok looked at you, confusion evident in her expression.
"what?"
"my name.." you started, playing with your fingers, twisting and turning them. "..is (y/n)
"oh.." sae-byeok mumbled, her reaction was underwhelming. "pretty." she added, struggling to find the right words.
sae-byeok's face turned tomato red.
she facepalmed herself. what was she thinking? pretty? that's too straightforward.
"sae-byeok" the tall girl mustered up a courage to give her name in exchange, wishing you’d wipe the grin off your face.
"wow.." you sigh. "..pretty!" you mimicked the girl's reply.
the heat that built up in sae-byeok's chest threatened to explode, but she held back.

entry #9 —
(y/n) visited the café again today.
the past few times, she had only stopped by for takeaway, her presence fleeting like a passing breeze.
i never spoke to her, only watched from a quiet distance.
she's not all that bad after all, i guess. actually, we had some things in common.
she was studying psychology at a nearby university, and had started her 1st semester.
if money didn’t hold me back, i'd be studying psychology by this time too.
she was my age — 18 years old.
it was rare to have someone my age around. my days were filled with the company of middle-aged men and kind old aunties, their lives so far removed from my own. but then, there was her.
every time she smiles and the sun reflects her eyes, the way her hair flows like a cascade of silk as she throws her head back in laughter, or whenever she places her delicate, polished hands on my forearm in agreement —just for a second—I feel something stir deep within me.
..it does something to me.
something i've never felt before.
i can't shake it off.
do-hee, my co-worker, said that it was blatant flirting. but i dismissed her.
me? the subject of someone’s interest?
yeah right.
she is a mystery to me, an unraveling poem—every glance, every gesture, a verse waiting to be discovered.
i need to get to know her.
i hope she comes back tomorrow.
..
"are you saying you've never watched train to busan?" you laughed, appalled at the tall girl's answer.
she shrugged, "well.. yeah.. do i have to?"
"oh, absolutely sae. be prepared with tissue boxes though. it's not going to look pretty."
"s-sae..?"
"yeah! a new nickname for you.. you don't like it..?"
"no.. no. i'm okay with it." sae-byeok gave you a faltering smile. but you caught the flicker of uncertainty before it faded away.

entry #15 —
i spent my lunch break with her today.
she stumbled into the café again in the late afternoon, the familiar chime of the door announcing her arrival.
i had her order memorized.
before she came in, it was already typed out on the register.
she opened up about herself, how she was struggling to pay her college tuition, all the while taking care of her sick mother.
and i might've opened up to her too..
i told her about cheol, mom.
somehow, in the quiet exchange of burdens, we found an understanding of each other.
and it made me.. glad?
whenever she'd nod her head, offering soft words of comfort.. i feel as if it’s like hearing your own heartbeat mirrored in another's, like a quiet confirmation that you're maybe, not alone in the world.
i thought i'd hate spending time with someone like her, but these past few weeks? they've been some of the best of my life.
was it because of her..? maybe.
screw it. i'm going to bed.
..
"i get it." sae-byeoks words shook your core, she was usually the listener in the conversation. but this time, she opened up. you the best you can and listened to her
"i.. im a north korean defector," she whispered. waiting for your reaction.
she braced herself. she expected you to laugh at her, or be scared of her, maybe say how miserable of a person she is, for anything that might confirm what she had always believed—that she was unworthy of kindness.
but no, you sat there. silently listening, you pursed your lips into a thin line, encouraging her to continue.
sae-byeok’s heart swelled.
"and i didnt defect alone.. my brother, cheol. he escaped with me. this past year i've been trying my hardest to earn and save up for money to pay for a broker for my mom. she's still in the north." she explained, she shifted in her seat. her eyes focused on the swishing of coffee in her porcelain mug.
"oh, sae-byeok. i'm so sorry. i didn't know you were going through all of that." your lips curled into a frown.
"you have me by your side, so.. if you need anything.. don't hesitate to call me. yeah?" you assured her sweetly.
sae-byeok's tough exterior melted away.
she looked up at you. a new expression found in her eyes. hope.
no one has ever been this gentle, this kind to her in her life. you were something to sae-byeok alright. that day she was sure of it.
your words held so much affection towards her and she felt full of love and care by you.
your words filled her with something she had rarely known—love.
but with love came fear.
getting close to you meant risking everything. What if she dragged you down with her?
she didn't want you to be with someone who's a criminal, a pickpocketer like herself.
she didn't want to disappoint to you. so she held back.
"little brother you say?"
sae-byeok nodded her head ever so gently.
"can i meet him?"

entry #27 —
i'm taking her to meet my brother today.
as I mentioned before, she’s been coming to the café more often. my lunch breaks have become a quiet routine with her by my side, her books spread across the table, the soft scratch of her pen filling the silence between us.
spending 4 weeks of work with her.. it felt more natural and enjoyable.
even my co-workers ask about her, but i bitterly shrug them off like i usually do.
i guess they took notice the effect she had on me. how whenever she talks, i reply with a gentleness that is rare.
i said that i wouldn't want her to be close with someone like me,
but i think i don't care anymore.
not after what happened today.
..
"cheol-ah, this is my friend, (name)." sae-byeok introduced you to her little brother. she snaked her hand into the small of your back, gently pushing you towards the boy who was staring up at you.
"hi, cheol!" you greeted the boy. warmness in your voice.
cheol looked hesitant to answer, but he manage to squeak out a little 'hi' before running to sae-byeok's side.
"come on cheol don't be rude." sae-byeok pestered.
you were quick to think : "hey, i heard you liked coloring, cheol." you kneeled beside him reaching for your tote bag.
the boy nodded and peeked curiously at what you were scouring for in your bag.
you revealed a set of acrylic markers, all the colors of the rainbow, neatly arranged.
cheol's eyes brightened in excitement. "wow!"
"would you like to draw with me cheol?" you asked, voice full of hope.
"yeah!" cheol nodded, basically leaving sae-byeok's side to join yours. ugging you towards a low table scattered with drawing paper.
sae-byeok was surprised to see how open cheol was to you. she decided she would just observe from afar from today.
to sae-byeok, watching you and cheol together felt like witnessing a quiet, simple magic unfold.
the way you patiently guide his hands to draw shapes and doodles, the way you laughed at cheol's little jokes, your smiles mirroring each other, how you both share the same expression of seriousness while coloring in your finished sketches.
it was pure, unhurried—a bond forming over the simple joy of drawing.
it pulled on sae-byeok's heartstrings. the room felt warmer, softer, as the colors on the paper grew brighter. that day, she put on her most genuine smile ever, watching as the bond between you and cheol deepened.
and so does sae-byeok's love does for you.

entry #29—
i did it.
i asked her out for dinner.
i can't believe i did it. i never thought i'd be after someone like her.
every day feels lighter knowing she might walk through the café doors at any moment.
that she’ll sit across from me, books spread out, coffee in hand, offering me fleeting glances that leave my heart a little less steady from the work stress.
i want to tell her that, but something is holding me back.
i asked her out to the diner just down the block, the one with the tall milkshakes and the warm glow of neon lights.
and she said yes.
i think i convulsed in my seat after her response because everything was a haze after that. my ears are still ringing.
i don't know why i feel like this. i'm not used to feeling affectionate towards somebody like i feel for her. it’s unfamiliar, uncharted territory.
someone help me figure this out.
..
"hey.." sae-byeok’s voice wavered, the crack in it betraying her nerves., earning a quiet giggle from you.
"yeah, sae?"
oh, she was doomed.
she ran her calloused hands through her hair, obviously nervous.
"would you like to have dinner with me? tomorrow? at haneul's diner down the street?"
"dinner?" you repeated with a toothy grin, "sae, i'd love to!"
let's just say she got off work all giddy that day.

today was amazing.
i know it sounds cheesy, but it was everything that i could've hoped and dreamed for.
i'm so infatuated and lovesick by her.
there i admit it.
dinner was great, she was very.. touchy, tonight.
i like it.
we took our first photo together at the 1,000 won photobooth outside the diner.
and i kissed her on the cheek.
for the photo obviously.
sjbkhdjklfjekjwldskjkjdfljk
..
"mmh, sae the burgers here are so good! how come you never told me about this place." you groaned into the smash burger, savoring the taste. "and it's cheap too!?"
"i guess i've been hiding it from you for this exact moment." she smiled sheepishly, rubbing the nape of her neck.
a blush crept up your face.
everything that came out of sae-byeok's mouth, it was special to you. even if it sometimes come out as ridiculous. she made you feel special, wanted.
you both sat back in the plush bright red sofa as you finished your meals, enjoying each others company.
"i like this.. we should do this more often." you suggested, discreetly twriling a strand of hair on your finger.
sae-byeok nodded, her second ever genuine smile made an appearance, "yeah, we should."
you averted your gaze to the outside world, it was a perfect night, quiet and comfortable.
that's when you spot a photobooth right across the street from the diner. your eyes lit up.
"hm? what's wrong?" sae-byeok place her head on her hands, following your gaze. her eyebrows furrowing at the sight of the tiny, crammed photobooth.
"sae, let's do it." you took her hands rubbing your thumb gently on her knuckles as you try to persuade her. "pleaasee?"
she let out a soft sigh, but sae-byeok did not resist.
here you guys are, crammed into a tiny photobooth on a cold night. you perched on sae-byeok's lap, feeling the denim of her jeans scratch at your stockings.
"does this even work? you've been trying to figure the machine out for like what? 2 minutes?" sae-byeok squinted at the screen, unimpressed. not getting the schematics of the photobooth.
nervous energy buzzed through her. you could feel it in the way her leg bounced beneath you, the way her hands fidgeted against your sides. she was basically suffocating at the tight space.
"sae, c'mon stop it! i'm sure it does work.." you stuck your tongue out in concentration as you insert 1000 won into the money slot.
both of your bodies jolt up as you realized a countdown was starting.
"ooh, quick! pose!" you squealed. you pressed your temple against sae-byeok's and stuck your hands up in a peace sign.
sae-byeok was at a lost for words due to the close proximity, but she managed to hold up a similar, weaker version of your pose.
snap!
you tried to think of a new pose, before placing your peace sign behind sae-byeok's head into bunny ears and sticking your tongue out, her fluffy short hair tickling your hand as she looked at you in disbelief.
snap!
sae-byeok's eye softened at your playful expression. looking at how much you were enjoying taking photos with her.. you looked too cute for her tiny heart to handle!
a bold plan brewed in her mind
"ugh, what else.." you mumbled to yourself. deep in thought. as you try to remember what poses your friends would use in their cute instagram posts.
with a swift motion, sae-byeok cupped your cheek with her cold, left hand. and kissed your cheeks sweetly, squishing your faces together. just in time before the camera snaps. capturing your face in shock as she made an exaggerated 'smooch!' noise.
snap!
the ghost of sae-byeok's kiss lingered on your cheek. you brought your fingers up to your cheeks, still in disbelief.
"cat got your tongue, hm? c'mon pose for the last picture." sae-byeok teased casually, her eyes bore on you.
how could she say things like that without fully breaking down at the seams? you wondered.
you gave her a weak, tight-lipped smile before composing yourself.
you shifted in sae-byeok's lap turning your back towards the exit, you reached to cup her face in your warm hands.
sae-byeok melted at the touch, puffing out her cheeks while looking at you lovingly.
"cheese!" you cheered with a big grin on your face for the last picture.
..
you both stumbled out of the booth, hands still tingling, waiting in flustered silence for the photos to print.
the photos popped out of the machine, revealing two strips of black and white polaroids of you both.
"they're perfect!" you cried out, admiring the cute poses and faces you both shared.
"yeah, they are.." sae-byeok sighed, also admiring the photos, contentment washing over her.
first date with you? accomplished.

entry #51—
i have been told all my life that love would never find its way to me,
and i've realized that it was a lie.
because love did find me in my lowest moment, in a form of an adorable kind-hearted psych major i once swore I couldn’t stand.
my days have been fuller —
full of her loving texts lighting up my phone in the morning,
my lunch breaks spent either visiting her campus or her visiting the café to talk about everything and nothing at the same time.
our little dates where we did everything that i wanted to do in my youth but didn't have the time for before.
she softened me in ways I didn’t think possible.
because of her, I started speaking easier, trusting a little more.
because she gave me the hope in humanity that was long gone as soon as i stepped into the real world.
she reminded me that maybe—just maybe—the world wasn’t all bad.
i even gave up pickpocketing for her after we had an argument about how it'd affect my future, how it made her upset. her eyes filled with heartbreak.
she cares about me, and i care for her.
her eyes, nose, lips, hair. all of her
she's the vitamin i had never known i needed. i crave to spend time with her each and every day.
today, i'm going to make her mine.
..
you stepped out of your lecture, exhausted. the weight of the world on your back.
you sighed at the outside world, you usually loved the rain. but today, of all days, did it really have to pour? and on the day you forgot your umbrella?
you sent a quick text to sae-byeok to let her know you've finished school for the day.
chamomile girl ♡ : sae! ^__^ just finished school! chamomile girl ♡ : i'm about to head home.. it's raining outside so i think i'll run to the nearest bus stop!! forgot my umbrella hehe~ chamomile girl ♡ : i'll visit you tonight at the cafe during nearing your closing hours so we could hang out more :3c
my pers♡nal barista : sounds great. :)
you smiled at your phone, tucking it away shortly after you received a text back as you made your way down flights of stairs of your faculty building.
you prepared your tote bag, taking it off to use it as protection from the rain. the soles of your platforms squelching on the now wet entrance of the building before you stopped in your tracks, a small gasp left your lips.
"sae..?"
the short-haired girl stood in front of you, a wide umbrella protecting her from the rain. she was still in her uniform, smiling at you.
you furrowed your eyebrows in confusion but you stepped closer to her. both of you now sheltered under the umbrella.
"hi." she whispered just enough so you could hear it through the sound of trickling rain.
you giggled at her actions, poking at her sides. "hey you!.. what're you doing here?"
"to take you home, obviously." she shoved her left hand into her pockets. "i'm not going to let you get sick from the rain"
your heart exploded with immense love and gratitude. you wanted to say a million things. a million ways to tell her how much this meant, how much she meant.
"now come on, let's get you home." she ushered you to the exit of your campus. her hands wrapped around you.
safe. that's what you felt every time you were with sae-byeok. under sae-byeok’s care, the cold barely reached you.
you had such intense feelings towards the north-korean.
you couldn't keep it in any longer.
the two of you walked in step along the bridge, the city lights flickering in the distance, the rain creating a soft melody around you.
the bridge lead to a more secluded neighborhood, where your apartment was.
you sneaked glances at the tall girl from time to time but every time you'd look, she was already looking at you.
"hm? what's on your mind sae?"
she stopped abruptly, you were startled by this, stumbling into a halt. she took your recently manicured hands in her rough ones.
she takes a deep breath, closing her eyes.
"i like you."
"huh?"
"no, i love you." she corrected herself, swallowing hard. "(y/n), i love you."
"with all my heart. i don't know where i realized that i love you, maybe in our quiet moments or in the middle of our dates full of laughter—but somewhere along the way, you became my favorite part of the day."
you stared at awe at her. is this real life?
"at first i didn't really take interest of you.. then after some time i felt as if it was simple admiration, but now i realized that deep down in my heart, i want to be with you."
the world stilled.
"sae.. i don't know what to say.."
she chuckled nervously, "you don't have to say anything.. i just need you to say yes or no."
your heart thumped harder in the walls of you chest, is this going where i think it is? you thought to yourself.
"can i be your girlfriend?" sae-byeok sputtered out, her body tensing up.
a matching pink flush crept onto both of your faces.
you took a moment to register the question, your ears rang before fusing with the sound of rain falling and hitting the ground.
"finally," you giggled. your laughter was light and it felt like a sweet relief to sae-byeok.
"yes, sae. i'd love you to be my girlfriend."
"r-really?" she stammered. "you do?"
you nodded, snorting all the while giggling at her child-like response.
in the midst of the sound of your voice echoing through the open bridge. you heard a loud sob coming from the tall girl towering in front of you.
your laughter faded as you looked up at her in shock. your eyes widened at the rare sight of sae-byeok crying.
"oh no, baby.. what's wrong?" you cooed, quickly shuffling to her side, you tiptoed and reached for her face, wiping away her tears.
sae-byeok threw her head back, as she tried to shake away her tears. "i..i'm sorry." she sniffled, "i'm just so glad you're my girlfriend now."
you stiffled a gasp at her confession, you chest ached. "aw you're so cute when you're all sappy!"
"shut up!" she whined, her low voice rumbling.
her grip on the umbrella faltered, overwhelmed by emotion. so she placed her head on the nook of your shoulders, leaning her full body weight onto you.
you stumbled at the change of position, quickly wrapping your hands around her torso, hugging her.
"thank you. thank you for giving a chance.." she whispered into your neck, making you shiver.
you weren't used to this vulnerable side of sae-byeok. you loved that you brought a new, better version of her.
without a word, you simply held her tighter, running soothing circles along her back, silently vowing to give her all the love she had ever been denied.
..
Tumblr media
your hands slapped over your mouth, your whole body trembled violently, like a fragile leaf caught in a storm.
you could taste your salty tears run down your plump lips as your teeth chattered.
your heart was chipping apart piece by piece the more you read the journal. your fragile heart couldn't bear the weight of reality anymore.
your lover,
the one you thought you'd spend your whole life with.
gone.
and this was all that is left of her..
sae-byeok..
why did she have to leave..?
she was all you had ever since your mother passed away.
she was the only person you clung to in this cruel world.
now you had to face the rest of your life without her.
you decided to not continue reading. saving the remaining pages to lull to into sleep every night.
every day, you read one entry each night. reminiscing the past, daydreaming yourself into the story told on the parchment. whilst imagining the ghost of the love of your life, holding you tight as you cried between the pages.
you neared the end of the journal, until one day you reached..
the last entry from sae-byeok.
but it can't be? the book still had pages left on it, clean, unscathed.
and then you remembered.
oh..
you felt your bones crumbling, your eyes weakened at the date that was messily scratched unto the journal.

entry #563
an entry from the day before she left your life forever.

entry #563—
i don't know how i'm supposed to tell her.
i don't know how i'm supposed to tell her that a man in a ridiculous tight tuxedo went up to me offering money for a game of ddakji a few days ago as i left the station
she would laugh at my face.
she would also laugh at the fact that the man gave his business card, saying that if i called that number, i would be able to play games for money.
honestly it was an absurd claim. but i decided to test it.
they picked me up in the hush of night & drugged me.
i woke up in a sterile, windowless place—crowded with greasy, clueless, no-lifers. and among them, i saw a ghost from my past.
deok-su.
out of all the places i could find him in, it was in that sterile debt jungle.
I took a hard hit from fate that day, but I got up, because I had to.
i was here for her.
i was here for you.
i wanted to pay off all of your debts, college tuition, spoil you endlessly with a shower of gifts.
my debts was also part of the reason why i joined. but darling, nothing could beat seeing you smile.
the first game was red light, green light.
a game that decorated my childhood in the north.
i tried my best to stay calm and collected. but then the worse happened.
a blaring shot ran through and echoed the arena.
an obnoxious, loud, blonde haired man. shot dead. his blood spilling over the sandy ground.
that was the first time in my life i had ever felt true, raw, fear.
fear of leaving you behind in this cruel world without saying goodbye. fear of not being able to touch, hold, or kiss you anymore. fear of your hands reaching for me in the dark, only to find nothing.
deep inside i was instantly regretting my decision but i prayed hard.
i prayed so i could make it out alive.
and my prayers, they were answered.
they sent us home after hearing our protest, cries, pleading. how it was absurd to keep them in such a place like this. a bloodbath.
this morning, i get to come home into your arms again, i was able to throw myself into your arms, to feel the warmth of your body against mine, to hear your voice —even if it was yelling at me for three straight hours.
i didn't care. i just care that you were there.
but i was still unsatisfied.
i couldn't shake the memory of the first thing i saw as i barged into our shared apartment after coming home from the games this morning.
the love of my life,
you..
you were crying
you drowned yourself in tears before your debts did. i felt guilty not giving you the life that you deserve.
remember how the game master let us come home?
we were also given a chance to join back the games.
so i've decided that i'm going to win the games for you.
bring back a heart-stopping amount of money. to pay off your debts, give you everything the world has to offer.
with 45.6 billion won, i could build us a home. i could bring cheol into a life where he never has to go hungry again. i could see my mother again. i could create the small, quiet, beautiful family we always dreamed of.
but if I don’t make it back—
if you made it to this page and it finds you instead of me..
i need you to know that I’m sorry.
i’m sorry I was too weak to find another way.
i'm sorry i couldn't let go of my past, truly, my stubbornness never left.
i’m sorry for every night you’ll spend alone, wondering if I made the right choice, wondering if it was all your fault, which it wasn't.
i’m sorry that i won’t be there to kiss away your tears when you read this. i'm sorry that i won't be able to touch you anymore.
all i wish for you, my beloved is
to live.
live the life you've dreamt of.
you've always wanted to raise kids, so my last wish is for you to raise cheol for me.
i see how much you love him. how much you wished you could sing him lullabies, read him stories to sleep, have him by your side. so every time you look at him, you'd think of me.
marry someone who sees the good in you even in a sea of imperfect.
marry someone who would stay with you even if the whole world was against you.
who'd protect you, love you, cherish you like i did.
just please, don't forget about me.
but if i do make it back—if fate is kinder to me this time—
i’ll tell you all of this myself.
i pray my last moments are spent replaying all the memories i had with you. so i could die with a heart full of love and a smile on my face.
i love you lots and lots like jelly tots.
your personal barista,
kang sae-byeok.

Floral Encounters
Tumblr media
Charles Leclerc x Florist!reader 。・:*˚:✧。
Masterlist can be found in navigation!
Word count: 1340
A/N: lmaoooo i've been gone for a really..really long time…but guys we are so back! New year, new fanfics that need to be written. Requests are still very much open if you have anything you wanna see, sorry for the absence and happy reading!! <33
The little flower shop nestled on a quiet street in Monaco was a peaceful haven among the hustle and bustle of the city. Inside, the soft scent of roses and lilies mixed with the gentle hum of classical music playing from an old speaker in the corner. The owner, Y/N, was behind the counter, arranging the last few bouquets of the day. She loved her shop, the routine of it, the way it allowed her to be surrounded by beauty every day. But most of all, she loved the chance encounters—those small moments where someone new would come in, buying flowers for loved ones, or sometimes for no reason at all.
It was a Tuesday afternoon when he first walked in.
Charles Leclerc.
He had been a familiar face on the streets of Monaco for years, though Y/N had never had the chance to meet him. She had seen him in passing at a café or two, but nothing that could spark a conversation. She couldn’t say she was a huge fan of Formula 1, but she knew enough to recognize the man who had become a hero to so many in the city.
He stepped into the shop, the doorbell chiming as it swung open, and for a moment, Y/N was taken aback. She quickly composed herself and flashed him a friendly smile.
“Hello, can I help you with anything?” Y/N asked the man in front of her
Charles paused for a second, as if processing her presence. His green eyes flicked over the shelves filled with flowers, before landing on her. His lips curved upward in a small, charming smile.
“I need a bouquet,” he said, his accent thick but easy to understand. “Something... for my mother.”
Y/N nodded, stepping forward to guide him. “We have a variety of roses, peonies, maybe some tulips... what’s the occasion?”
He scratched the back of his neck, clearly trying to find the right words. “No real occasion. I just wanted to do something nice for her.”
The simplicity of it made Y/N’s heart flutter a little. He wasn’t here for a birthday or an anniversary. Just because. That kind of thoughtfulness was rare. She tilted her head slightly, studying him for a second before offering a suggestion.
“Well, if you’re looking for something elegant, I’d recommend a mix of white roses and lilies. They’re classic, timeless.”
Charles raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching as if he was amused by the suggestion. “Timeless, huh? I like the sound of that.”
Y/N gave a small laugh and picked out a few stems, expertly arranging them in a hand-tied bouquet. “The lilies symbolize purity, and the roses... well, they symbolize admiration and love. Perfect for a mother, don’t you think?”
He leaned against the counter, watching her work with an intensity that made her feel a little warmer than usual. “Sounds like you know your flowers,” he said with a grin.
“I’ve been doing this for a while,” Y/N replied, her fingers moving with practiced precision as she wrapped the bouquet in parchment paper. “You get to learn a lot when you’re surrounded by them every day.”
When she was finished, she handed him the bouquet. “Here you go. I hope she loves it.”
Charles took the bouquet, his fingers brushing against hers for a moment, sending a small jolt through her. He didn’t pull away right away. Instead, he looked down at the flowers, his expression softening.
“I’m sure she will,” he said quietly. Then, as if thinking of something, he added with a teasing smirk, “You’ve made this a bit hard to top. Do you take requests?”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “What do you have in mind?”
“I might need you to help me with another bouquet next week,” he said, his gaze lingering on hers just a little longer than necessary. “But... this time, it might be for someone special.”
Y/N grinned, feeling the heat rise in her cheeks. “I’d be happy to help,” she said, her voice lighter now, more playful. “Maybe I’ll even throw in a little extra flair for someone special.”
Charles gave her a wink and turned toward the door. “I’ll hold you to that,” he said with a laugh before leaving the shop, the bell above the door ringing again.
The days turned into weeks, and Charles kept his word. Every time he raced in Monaco or elsewhere, he would come into the shop, often with a similar request. Sometimes it was for his mother, sometimes for a friend, and sometimes, he hinted that it was for someone else entirely.
After a particularly thrilling race where he finished second, Charles returned to the shop, his eyes practically glowing with excitement. He was still wearing his racing gear, and Y/N couldn’t help but notice how different he looked outside the car—his intense, competitive energy replaced with something a little more... relaxed.
“Back for more flowers?” Y/N asked as he entered, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
He nodded, though there was a certain hesitation in his usual confident stance. “Yes, but this time, I’m celebrating something special.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, walking over to him. “Oh? What are you celebrating?”
Charles paused, glancing around the shop as if to gather his thoughts. Then, his gaze landed on hers, and a flicker of something unspoken passed between them.
“I’m celebrating getting to see you again,” he said, his voice low and sincere.
Her heart skipped a beat. It wasn’t the first time he’d said something like that, but hearing it now, in such a direct way, made it feel like something new.
Y/N smiled, feeling a flutter of excitement in her chest. “Well, that’s a good reason to celebrate.”
He grinned, stepping closer to the counter. “I think so.” He leaned in just a little, lowering his voice. “What do you think? Another bouquet, just to make it official?”
Y/N considered him for a moment, her fingers brushing against a vase of lilies nearby. “I think you’re getting pretty good at this... but how about we make it even more official?”
Charles raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. “What do you mean?”
Her smile widened, and she set down the flowers she was holding. “How about you let me buy you dinner?”
He blinked in surprise, clearly taken aback for a second. Then, the corner of his mouth lifted into a grin. “You’re asking me out?”
“Is that so hard to believe?” Y/N teased, her eyes dancing with mischief.
Charles chuckled softly, his eyes not leaving hers. “Not at all.” He leaned forward just a bit more, his voice quieter. “I’d love to have dinner with you.”
Y/N’s heart raced, but she didn’t let the excitement show too much. “It’s a date, then,” she said with a wink.
The dinner was set for a few days later, at a small, intimate restaurant by the harbor. Charles showed up in a simple button-up shirt and jeans, looking effortlessly handsome. They shared stories over a bottle of wine, laughing at each other's jokes and enjoying the easy, warm atmosphere between them. The night ended with a stroll along the water, hand in hand, both of them silently agreeing that it was the beginning of something new.
Charles looked at Y/N, his expression soft. “You know, I’ve been to Monaco many times, but I think this is the first time I’ve really felt like I’m home.”
Y/N smiled, squeezing his hand gently. “Well, I’m glad I could be a part of that.”
“I think you’re going to be part of a lot of things in my life,” he said, his voice sincere.
She couldn’t help but smile at the thought, her heart full. “I’m looking forward to it, Charles. I really am.”
And as the stars twinkled overhead, they both knew that this was just the beginning.

Hiiiiiiiiiii I was wondering if you write for Dabi (bnha) and if so could you have a super oblivious reader? He has strong feelings for her and she feels the same way, but she doesn't have a lot of self confidence and is so convinced he couldn't love her that she doesn't notice the signs that he *does* at all. Shigaraki or Dabi himself have to spell it out for her. I hope you're doing well c:
author's note: Yes of course I write for Dabi <3
Tumblr media
Burning
The first time Dabi realized he had it bad for you, he almost laughed at himself. Him? Catching feelings? What a joke.
But the joke was on him, because now he was stuck with it—with you, this annoyingly sweet, absolutely clueless little thing who had no idea how deep he was in. He'd tried to make it obvious. He stuck around when he normally wouldn’t, let you ramble about whatever nonsense filled your head, stole you food when you forgot to eat. He even softened his usual sharp tone when he spoke to you, which, coming from him, was practically a love confession in itself.
And yet, you remained completely, infuriatingly oblivious.
"You gonna keep starin’ at her, or are you actually gonna grow a pair and say something?" Shigaraki drawled from across the room, idly scratching at his neck.
Dabi clicked his tongue, tearing his gaze away from where you were sitting on the worn-out couch, nose buried in a book. "Mind your own business."
Shigaraki just smirked. "It is my business when I have to watch you pine like a damn schoolboy every day. It’s embarrassing."
Dabi scowled, but before he could snap back, you looked up. "What’s embarrassing?"
He didn’t miss the way your gaze flickered to him, then away just as fast, like you couldn’t possibly believe he was the topic of conversation. He clenched his jaw.
"Nothing," he muttered. "Shigaraki’s just talking out of his ass again."
You smiled, and something about how soft it was made his stomach twist. "You two are always bickering. It’s kinda cute."
Shigaraki barked out a laugh. "Yeah? You think that’s cute? What about Dabi stealing food for you every damn day? Or how he only ever watches your stupid movies when you put them on? Or—"
"Shut up," Dabi growled, but the damage was done. You were blinking at Shigaraki like he’d just spoken in a foreign language.
"Wait… what?"
Shigaraki rolled his eyes. "Holy shit. You seriously didn’t notice?" He gestured vaguely at Dabi. "This idiot’s practically in love with you."
Your lips parted, but no words came out. Dabi felt his face heat—though whether it was from anger or something else, he wasn’t sure.
You stared at him like you were trying to process some impossible equation. "But that’s… no. That doesn’t make sense."
He scoffed, forcing himself to lean back against the couch, arms crossed like he wasn’t seconds away from combusting. "And why’s that?"
"Because you’re you. And I’m just… me."
Dabi’s jaw ticked. "You say that like it means something."
You looked away, fingers twisting in your lap. "It does. I mean, you could have anyone. Why would you…"
He let out a slow breath through his nose. "You really are a dumbass."
Your head snapped up, eyes wide. "What—"
"I don’t do this kind of thing, alright? I don’t stick around. I don’t care about people. But you—" His voice dropped, rough with something raw. "You got under my damn skin, and now I’m stuck with it. So yeah, I like you. I thought I was making it obvious, but clearly, that was giving you too much credit."
You opened your mouth, then shut it again. Then, after a moment, you let out a shaky laugh. "You are making it obvious. I’m just an idiot."
Dabi smirked. "Yeah, but you’re my idiot."
The warmth in your gaze made something in him settle, just a little. Finally, finally, you got it.
Shigaraki groaned. "Thank God. Now can you two get out of my sight? I’m gonna throw up."
Dabi didn’t look away from you as he flipped Shigaraki off. Because for once, he didn’t care about anything else.
Not when you were looking at him like that.
But of course, nothing was that simple. Because while you finally realized how he felt, you still couldn’t seem to believe it.
The next day, Dabi caught you staring at him, eyes narrowed, as if trying to puzzle something out. When he raised a brow, you quickly looked away, face heating.
It happened again at dinner. And again when you were sitting together, watching some dumb show you liked. Every time, you’d glance at him like you were trying to see what Shigaraki had pointed out, and each time, your expression would shift into uncertainty, like you still couldn’t quite accept it.
Dabi sighed. "Are you gonna say something, or just keep staring at me like a creep?"
You flinched. "I’m not staring."
"Yeah, you are."
You fidgeted. "I just… I’m trying to understand."
Dabi frowned. "Understand what?"
You bit your lip, hesitating. "You really like me?"
He groaned. "Are we seriously still on this? Yes. I like you. I want you. Do I need to spell it out more? Want me to tattoo it on my forehead? Because at this point, I might as well."
Your face turned red, but you still looked doubtful. "I just… I don’t get why."
Dabi dragged a hand down his face. "You ever think maybe it’s not something you have to ‘get’? Maybe you should just accept it and stop making this harder than it needs to be?"
You still looked unconvinced, but after a moment, you exhaled. "Okay."
Dabi narrowed his eyes. "Okay?"
You nodded, a small smile tugging at your lips. "Okay."
For the first time in weeks, Dabi felt like he could breathe. "About damn time."
You laughed softly. And when you leaned just a little closer, Dabi figured maybe this whole feelings thing wasn’t so bad after all.
Feel free to request <3

Sweeter then Donuts- Ruggie Valentine
Tumblr media
Valentine’s Day at Night Raven College was… chaotic. Between Azul’s overpriced couple’s deals at Monstro Lounge, Floyd’s relentless teasing, and Vil throwing a fit over last-minute beauty preparations, you’d spent most of the day dodging the madness.
That was, until Ruggie Bucchi found you near the Ramshackle Dorm, scratching the back of his head sheepishly.
“Oi, Prefect. Got a sec?”
You turned to see him standing there, ears perked up and tail swaying lazily behind him. “Yeah, what’s up?”
He hesitated, rubbing his neck before glancing away. “Well… I figured since it's Valentine’s and all, maybe we could—uh, y’know—hang out?”
You blinked, surprised. “Are you… asking me on a date?”
Ruggie huffed, his cheeks slightly pink. “Pfft, don’t make a big deal outta it! It’s nothin’ fancy, but I got somethin’ planned. So, ya in or what?”
A small smile tugged at your lips. “I’m in.”
Ruggie’s dorm room in Savanaclaw was surprisingly cozy. Messy, but cozy. Blankets were piled onto his bed, and the scent of something faintly sweet lingered in the air.
“I, uh, don’t got a fancy setup like Monstro Lounge or whatever,” he admitted as he sat on the floor, propping his phone up against a stack of books. “But I did figure out how to use my phone as a projector! Pretty neat, huh?”
You sat beside him as he adjusted the angle, and soon, a cheesy romantic movie flickered onto the blank wall.
It was one of those movies—the kind where the couple meets by accident, goes through a series of misunderstandings, and then confesses in the rain.
Ruggie snickered at a particularly dramatic scene. “No way people actually talk like that.”
You laughed. “I dunno, maybe we should try it. ‘Oh, Ruggie! My heart beats only for you!’” you exaggerated, clutching your chest.
He gave you a playful shove. “Yeah, yeah, real funny, Prefect.”
The two of you settled into a comfortable silence, watching the movie while sharing some snacks—well, what little snacks were left.
Ruggie suddenly sighed, looking at the empty plate beside him. “Sorry we don’t have donuts, though. I swear I had some, but I think Ace stole ’em.”
You chuckled, leaning a little closer to him. “I don’t mind. I have something sweeter right next to me.”
Ruggie froze, ears twitching, and you could practically see his brain short-circuiting.
“Wh—” He barely got a word out before you leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
For a second, he didn’t react, completely stunned. But then, his tail flicked, and he grinned against your lips before kissing you back, the warmth of his touch sending a pleasant shiver down your spine.
When you pulled away, his smirk was back in full force. “Heh… well, ain’t that somethin’?”
You grinned. “Happy Valentine’s, Ruggie.”
He chuckled, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you closer. “Yeah, yeah. Just don’t expect me to be all mushy about it.”
Despite his words, he didn’t let go.
And honestly, you were fine with that.
-----------------------
Walking through campus the next morning, you and Ruggie strolled side by side, your fingers loosely intertwined. The warmth of his hand was comfortable, and despite his usual tendency to be cautious about PDA, he hadn’t let go once.
You were starting to think he was enjoying this more than he let on.
“Oi.”
A deep voice rumbled from behind you, making both of you pause.
Leona Kingscholar stood there, arms crossed, emerald eyes glinting with amusement. His tail swayed lazily behind him as he took in the sight of your joined hands.
“Well, well. Looks like Rugs finally stopped being a coward,” he drawled.
Ruggie immediately bristled. “Oi, what’s that s’posed to mean?”
Leona smirked. “It means you’ve been making moon eyes at the Prefect ever since they helped us with my Overblot.” He yawned dramatically. “Didn’t think you’d ever actually do something about it.”
Your eyes widened as you glanced at Ruggie, who was now sputtering. “That’s not—” He huffed. “Shut up, Leona.”
Leona let out a lazy chuckle. “Took ya long enough.”
You turned to Ruggie with a teasing smile. “You’ve been pining after me since then?”
Ruggie groaned, ears flattening. “Ugh. This is the worst day of my life.”
Leona’s smirk widened. “Sure don’t look like it.”
Despite his grumbling, Ruggie still hadn’t let go of your hand.
And, honestly, you kind of liked knowing he never wanted to.

the restaurant is empty. it’s 9 o’clock—about an hour past closing—but you’re still here, cleaning. you’re not sure how the customers are capable of dirtying something so fast, but the tables and floors are always filthy by the end of the night.
your movements as you wipe down the last table of the night are sluggish and lazy, your mind is miles away from anything vaguely related to the restaurant. your hand moves almost absentmindedly, wiping the same spot over and over again. you know you should move on, finish this up quickly, but your mind won’t let you move. you’re paralyzed by your thoughts.
class tomorrow. need to visit your mother. do laundry. assignment due tonight. answer email. car needs an oil change. apply for the part-time job at the convenience store on the corner? rent due soon. need groceries.
you go through the thoughts like they’re a checklist. they play in your head like a loop. class tomorrow. laundry. oil. class tomorrow. oil. rent due. class tomorrow. assignment tonight. oil. groceries. laundry. class tomorrow.
“you okay?”
you spin around quickly, grasping the rag to your chest. “atsumu!” you exclaim in a breathless whisper. you hit him with the rag lightly and shake your head. “you scared the shit out of me. i thought you went home already?”
he snickers, and shakes his head as well. “nah. i was going to, but then i remembered i’d rather bother you instead.”
“har har,” you drone sarcastically, giving him an unimpressed look. “seriously though, go home. i can close by myself. all that’s left is this table.” you pause, then narrow your eyes. “did you do the bar? you know the afternoon shift hates it when you don’t put the cups where they’re supposed to be.”
“yes, manager y/n,” he mocks, plopping down in the booth. he puts his arms across the back of it and lets his head fall back, eyes falling shut. “my feet hurt so bad, dude. i think i need to get some new shoes.”
you hum and sit down across from him. you put your elbow on the table, and your cheek in your hand, thoughts drifting back to all the things you need to do. you don’t notice your brows furrowing until atsumu reaches a hand forward and presses his thumb in between your brows.
“what are you thinking so hard about?” he asks, leaning forward, head tilted. the look in his eyes is so genuine, you have to look down at the table. “it’s, like, nine o’clock, dude. you should be thinking about your comfy bed.”
you don’t answer immediately, choosing to pick at a scratch on the varnished wood. “i have a lot to do tomorrow,” you mumble. your voice drops down to a whisper when you say, “too much.”
“like what?”
you look up and meet his eyes again, but not before catching a glimpse of that stupid smile that’s so atsumu you kind of want to punch him. “uh, just college stuff, mostly. i have to pay rent, get my oil changed—it’s gonna cost a lot of money.” you shake your head and laugh humorlessly. “sorry, you probably don’t want to hear about my money problems.”
“ah,” he hums softly, nodding. “i can, uh, change your oil for you if you want. for free. just so you don’t have to worry about it anymore.” he gives you a shrug.
“you know about cars?”
he shrugs again. “a little. my dad was a mechanic before mom had me and my brother, so he taught us how to do basic shit. change a tire, change oil, stuff like that.”
his eyes dart away from yours at the mention of his dad. you want to ask about it, but refrain. you know what it’s like to have family problems—how hard it is to talk about that stuff.
“that’s cool,” you say. “and, yeah, that’d be nice. thanks.”
suddenly, he clears his throat and shuffles his way out of the booth. “come on.” he vaguely nods his head in the direction of the kitchen. “we’re done, let’s get outta here.” you can practically see the hesitation on his as he asks, “you wanna come over? watch a movie, or something? i can make food, too. i’m freakishly good at cooking.”
you laugh at the way he emphasizes his sentence. you stand and wipe the nonexistent dust off your pants and nod once. “yeah, food sounds pretty good right about now.”

gojo never imagined an arrange marriage with you, but now you’re all he can think about.
he thinks about you when he’s training, when he’s seated at his round table, when he’s in his bed, everywhere, every time, you’re all he can think about.
and you’re oblivious to it.
you heard the gossip everywhere you walked, about the girl gojo was pleading with his family to marry. how much he loved her, how beautiful she was, how much more elegant she was compared to you. you knew you were never his first choice, not even his fifth, but it hurt even more when everybody acknowledged it.
you stopped wearing your wedding ring, started acting like you were just another person there. luckily gojo didn’t seem to be in any hurry about making heirs, so pretending like you two were working things out didn’t even matter anymore.
you find yourself alone most of the time. your maids were kind and patient, but they had so many things to do throughout the day that you felt awful pestering them to walk around the estate with you.
eating dinners with gojo became normal, but most of your other meals were in silence, always feeling like a speck of dust in the large dining hall.
one day when you’re walking around aimlessly you stumble across the training grounds, the open space below you filled with men swinging wooden swords back and forth at each other.
it wasn’t difficult to find your husband, his white hair hard to miss in a crowd of others. he didn’t notice you watching from above, and so you stayed hidden, not knowing if the men were picky with who watched them.
he was swift and agile. everything he did was precise and with meaning. no wonder he was named the best warrior of the north.
you found this to be more entertaining than walking around the gardens for the tenth time or watching the cooks assemble the next meal, so you didn’t even notice how gojo looked up to see you, somehow slipping away without you knowing.
you were in a state of watching but not really thinking, almost jumping out of your skin when you heard his voice behind you.
“didn’t know i had an audience,”
you yelp, flinching as you look behind you to see your husband all sweaty, panting slightly as he moves his hair away from his face. you eye the stairs that led him up here, wondering how you could’ve missed that.
you laugh sheepishly, giving him an apologetic smile as you pick are your nails.
“i’m sorry,” you scratch behind your ears, feeling heat rise to your cheeks under his intense gaze. it’s unfair how pretty somebody can look, especially after training for an hour straight, “i was just walking around and i saw this.”
he waved it off, shaking his head as he leaned his sword on the wall.
“not a problem,” his eyes shine, “i just would’ve tried harder if i knew my wife was watching.”
my wife.
the words fall so smoothly from his lips you wonder how many times he’s said it before. with malice, hatred, necessity?
you smile a little bit, eyes crinkling around the edges as you look away briefly, not noticing the way gojo chased after your cheerful face.
“how’d you get up here? where are your ladies?” he asks suddenly, looking around at the fact that it was just you up here.
“my what?” you say, looking up at him through furrowed brows.
“you know,” he waves his arm around as if that would help, “you’re ladies in waiting,”
you scrunch up your nose a little bit, something he noticed you did when you were confused.
“oh, well, my maids are working right now,” you tell him, noting that he still didn’t look any less confused.
“no, not your maids, your ladies,” he tilts his head to the side, “the girls your family sent them up to help you around.”
you stare at him, unblinking.
“the girls that are your friends, the ones that help accustom you…” gojo trials off when he realizes he’s not getting anywhere with you.
you feel even more embarrassed than when he caught you watching him, hating the way you were clueless at yet another thing in this life that no one explained to you.
“the girls you hang around with?” he finally lands on, hoping this jogs your memory.
you shake your head, eyes wide as you fidget with the fabric of your dress. his eyes fall onto your finger, lingering on the fact that you’re not wearing your ring.
“who do you spend your time with throughout the day?” gojo seems even more lost than you. he’s seen you with…? well surely that one time…?
“by,” you swallow, embarrassed, “by myself. i walk around a lot.” you admit sheepishly.
“your family didn’t send…?” he answers his own question with his silence.
this entire time you’ve been alone?
he opens his mouth to speak but somebody beats him to it.
“satoru! get down here! we’re still not done!” his friends shouts from below, and you look over your shoulder to see all the men staring at the two of you.
gojo stares at you, unblinking.
“i,” he swallows but can’t find any words.
you can’t either.
he leaves you there, running down those stairs as he shouts at the other guys to resume what they were doing. that entire day he was off his balance because he kept looking up to see you there, but you weren’t.
maybe you were just walking around, like you said.

The Ghost of Christmas Past shows up and you’re like, “Ohhhhh for fuck’s sake,” but you’re in your childhood bedroom so it’s kind of on you. The ghost seems offended. She crosses her arms. She looks like you used to, with the pigtails.
“No way,” you say. “Don’t start.”
“I am the—”
“The Ghost of Christmas Past, I know, I know.” Because she looks like you, and it’s Christmas Eve, so what else. Your parents used to read you the story every year. Even when you were old enough to read on your own, it was better in your dad’s voice.
“You came home for your parents,” the ghost says, solemn. “It’s time to tell them.”
“No, like, ‘when you’re ready’?”
“You are ready,” she says, “or you wouldn’t have come back.”
Which is so stupid, because you weren’t on the moon, you were at college, and it’s only been two months of shots, you don’t even have a mustache. “Fucking leave me alone,” you say, so she does the ghost thing and takes you to a ten-years-ago Christmas. The living room. Your parents. Your fledgling self on the carpet with your stocking, the one you can’t look at anymore because when you were a baby your parents patiently hand-stitched the fucking name.
“Maybe they’ll make you a new one,” says the ghost.
“You don’t know that.” Bullshit ghost powers.
“You were happier back then. When they knew you.”
“Everyone was happier back then. It was, like, 2008.”
“There was a recession,” says the ghost.
“Shut up! Shut up!” You turn over in bed. For a second you expect to roll onto child-self-you curled up next to you. Probably crush the life out of her. You got good at that. It’s her bed, her room, pink covers, cat posters.
“This is so stupid, this Dickens thing,” you say. “I’m not even Christian anymore.”
“Tell your parents that second,” the ghost suggests.
“Oh my fucking God I’m not telling them anything can’t you go bother Jeff Bezos.”
“I’m just doing my job,” says the ghost, and vanishes.
#
The Ghost of Christmas Present has an acne problem. As soon as you open your eyes you say, “Oh my God,” and they say, “Hi,” and you say, “You better not be the fucking Ghost of Christmas Present,” and the Ghost of Christmas Present says, “I am.”
Which you knew.
“Why me?” you say, pink comforter bunched around your waist. “I didn’t do anything. Scrooge was mean to orphans.”
The Ghost of Christmas Present shrugs. “It’s the job.”
“Are you gonna show me my parents now?”
That makes them look kind of embarrassed.
“Well, don’t,” you say. If your parents are talking in the other room, huddled up conferencing with the lights off, you can’t hear it over the heater buzz. But you can guess what they’re saying: you went to school with a shitty pixie cut and worse eyeliner, and you came back with a real haircut and a permanent frown and a bunch of new friends you play sentence Twister to avoid pronouning. “I know they’re nice people, I got it. I’m just not ready.”
“It’s just—you’re kind of waiting for them to ask?” says the Ghost of Christmas Present. They scratch their face, where they have spectral sideburns coming in. “Your dad thinks you have a head cold. ‘Cause of your voice. But your mom’s starting to get it.”
You pull the covers over your head. “Cool, awesome, didn’t ask.”
“She isn’t going to ask,” the ghost says. “She wants you to tell her.”
You stick your middle finger out from underneath the covers. When you check, the room is empty again.
#
The Ghost of Christmas Future doesn’t say anything. Just looks at you. You look back. You probably have bedhead. You fixed your daytime wardrobe but your pajamas are still lacy and purple.
“How come you’re a man?” you say.
He says, “I think you know.”
“Fucking—go away.”
“I have something to show you first.”
“Are we going to the goddamn graveyard?”
He doesn’t say anything but then you’re in the goddamn graveyard. Together. Looking at your headstone. The dates are close enough together to make you kind of sick.
“They went with the full name,” you say.
The ghost nods.
“Not even the nickname. My nice gender neutral nickname.”
The ghost shrugs. You kind of want to throw something at him but you’re just looking at it now. Chiseled in marble. Immovable. What’s that thing bigots on the internet say, about someone digging up your jawbone two hundred years from now? You always wanted to think you wouldn’t care.
The Ghost of Christmas Future’s pretty quiet. This is the part where Scrooge goes full breakdown. Tears, begging, promises.
“I’m not gonna cry on you,” you say.
“Okay.”
So neutral. “Man, what do you want me to say?”
“Nothing,” says the ghost. “I think you’re there.”
You can’t stop looking at the headstone. “God fucking damnit shit. You promise they’ll be cool?”
“Nothing’s promised,” the ghost says. He gestures at the graveyard. “Except for this.”
“Awesome.” Cryptic cliche philosophical ghost bullshit. Yada yada. Death and taxes. Not with that name on your headstone, though. Not with that name on your tax forms, either.
You turn to tell him that and then you’re blinking in bed. There’s still one glow-in-the-dark star stuck to your ceiling where the glue never wore out. You put those up like ten years ago. Maybe longer. The light in the room says it’s morning. You swing your lacy-pajama legs over the side of the bed and go to ruin Christmas.

Lieutenant Simon Riley has a favorite nurse. She's sweet as sugar and polite, stitching up every bloodied soldier with gentle words and touches so light they barely feel the push and pull of the suturing. Appreciative, whether they return the soft conversation or not. He likes the way she floats around the medical wing, the way she smiles softly at everyone, even him. He's sure she knows what he's been doing, but she isn't stopping him, so he assumes she doesn't mind.
Every morning, without fail she gets up and comes into the wing in a different colored pair of scrubs. A new color every day, never the same one twice in a week. She sits at the front desk or at another station somewhere around and sips a can of ginger ale through a straw, pretending she doesn't see Simon's eyes on her while she works.
"Wha's it t'day?" Simon says gruffly as he approaches her, bypassing the other nurses almost completely. "Blackberry," She says softly, looking up at him and displaying the can. He takes a look at her scrubs, and of course, they're a dark purple, matching the can. It suits her, he thinks. Not an obnoxious shade, one that matches her skin tone well. "Good?" He asks her, like he always does. "Not my favorite,' she says as she sets the can back down. He hums lowly in reply as his eyes linger on the fabric of her scrubs, the way the cloth dips over her soft curves.
"You hurt?" She asks him cheekily, "Or just taken an interest in the medical field?" He grunts, pulling his eyes away from her scrubs and meeting her own. "Nae," He says lowly. "Just passing by," he adds, shoving his gloved hands into his pockets to keep from touching her. Or reaching out to smooth out a wrinkle in her clothing, or tucking some of her hair behind her ear.
He doesn't know what else to say, wanting to keep her attention on him. "Suits ya," He ends up saying softly, trying to sound as gruff as possible, but his eyes are trained on hers, his hazel eyes staring into her own irises. "The purple." He grumbles, cursing inwardly because why is he acting like he's never spoken to a pretty bird before?
"Thank you, Lieutenant." She says sweetly, a nice red tinting the apples of her cheeks. Simon shifts his weight from one foot to the other, unsure what to say next. Small talk hasn't ever been his strong suit, but walking away feels wrong, like cutting a thread that’s barely started to weave.
"You sure you're alright?" she asks again, but this time there's something softer in her voice. A note of genuine curiosity, her hands stilling on her keyboard. "You don’t usually linger this long."
He scowls—not at her, but at himself for being so obvious. "Dinnae know I was bein’ timed," he mutters, stuffing his hands deeper into his pockets.
She chuckles, the sound low and warm. "You’re not. Just... noticed, is all." Her gaze flicks over him, quick and subtle, like she’s trying to piece him together without openly prying. She's familiar with Simon, knows how private he is. "Busy morning?"
He shrugs. "Same as usual. Training, Paperwork."
Her lips quirk upward in a faint smile, but there’s a shadow of worry behind her eyes. "Sounds like you could use a break."
"Aye," he says gruffly, a hand leaving his pocket to scratch at the base of his balaclava. "Reckon this is it."
Her smile softens at that, and for a moment, neither of them speaks. There’s a weight in the air, something unspoken that presses against his chest, and hers. He wants to say more, to keep her talking, but the words are tangled up in his throat.
"Y’know," she says after a pause, "I think purple might actually suit you too."
His brows furrow softly, squinting at her a bit behind the mask, and for a split second, he wonders if she’s teasing him. But her expression is sincere, her eyes glinting with a quiet kind of amusement.
"Me?" he scoffs, shaking his head. "Don’t reckon that’s in regulation."
She shrugs lightly, leaning against the desk. "Wouldn’t hurt to try. Maybe a mask or something. Just a little color." There’s a playful glint in her eyes now, and he feels the corner of his mouth twitch despite himself.
"Don’t think I’d pull it off," he mutters, though there’s a faint warmth creeping up his neck, hidden by the black fabric.
"I disagree," she says softly, and the weight of her gaze feels heavier than before. He looks at her then, really looks, and finds himself rooted to the spot.
"You always this cheeky with the patients?" he grumbles, trying to mask the fact that she’s gotten under his skin.
"Only the ones who hover around the nurses' station without a good excuse," she quips, her smile widening just a fraction. "But I don’t mind. You’re welcome anytime, Lieutenant."
His heart gives a traitorous thump at her words, but he swallows it down and grunts in reply. "I’ll hold ya to that," he says, his voice rougher than he intends.
As he turns to leave, her voice calls him back again, soft and lilting. "Oh, and Simon?"
He stops dead in his tracks. She’s never used his name before. Slowly, he turns his head to glance at her, his hazel eyes locking onto hers.
"Next time," she says, lifting her can of ginger ale in a mock toast, "you could at least bring one of these to share."
His lips twitch into something dangerously close to a smile. "Aye," he murmurs, his voice low. "I’ll see what I can do."
And as he walks out of the wing, he finds himself already wondering what color she’ll be wearing tomorrow.

"i love you y/n, but i don't think it is genuinely possible to even get him within the same vicinity of you that is not on campus.." gaeul comments, taking a sip of her drink.
you sigh in response, not bothering to hide the fact that you're eyeing park sunghoon, the cute quiet nerd you sat a couple seats away in your econ class. also, a couple tables away where you and gaeul were sitting at in the campus' dining hall. "what if i just asked him to tutor me—? it would benefit me and get me close to him."
"do you realize how crazy you sound right now?!" gaeul chokes, voice a little too loud causing the surrounding tables by the two of you to give a look.
"then i'm insane because i'm gonna ask him to tutor me right now—!" you exclaim, grabbing a piece of gum from the pack that was on the table, unwrapping the foil and popping it into your mouth. gaeul hypes you up, giving you a small applause in which you both giggle.
approaching his table, you felt a nervous tinge in your chest, choosing to ignore that feeling, you strut with confidence, stopping until you're standing directly in front of sunghoon. he looks up with an eyebrow raised, shutting off his laptop that he was doing an assignment on. "can i help you—?" loud smacks of you chewing the gum obnoxiously filled the awkward silence between the two of you, but you smile at him. "park sunghoon right?"
he nods, face still filled with confusion as to why such a pretty girl is at the table he occupied by himself on most days. "you have the best marks in our econ class.. and i was wondering if you could help me revise this paper i failed in that class.." you sheepishly asked, hand scratching the side of your head as you await a response.
"sure i can." sunghoon's response is short and quick, tapping his ipod that was connected with his wired headphones on his lap, waiting for you to say something. "great—! you should write your contact information for me down!" you beam. pulling out of your arm bag a mini notepad and pen, handing it to sunghoon. he takes a quick look at the character charm that dangled on a beaded string on your pen, laughing to himself in his head at how cute and amusing you were. carefully examining what he wrote before handing it back to you, sunghoon gives a small smile in return as well.
you thank sunghoon and practically skip back to your table, gaeul looking in shock as you hold up the once empty page of your notepad, filled with his contact info.
sunghoon's enjoying a peaceful dinner with his roommate when he hears a ding! from his phone. "this is the first time i've ever heard your phone during dinner." jongseong comments, stuffing his mouth full of instant ramen. "it's probably a scam or—" sunghoon remembers you asking him to tutor you. he scrambles to grab his phone, flipping it open to read your message.
"surely a scammer alright." jongseong sarcastically retorts. "shut up jay!" sunghoon yells flustered, reading the strings of messages you left to him.
(xxx) (xxx) (xxxx):
heyyyy :p it's y/n :3
turned out the deadline professor jung gave me to revise this paper in a few days (¬_¬)
soooo i was wondering if we could meet up in a couple hours ^_^ or we could do tmr cuz it’s a weekend and ur probably free ♪( ´θ`)ノ
you weren't wrong.. but ouch that kinda gave sunghoon a realization that he really doesn't do anything besides studying 24/7 and being a dork with jongseong.
"no way.. you're texting a girl—!" jongseong gapes, peeking over sunghoon shoulder's to read his inbox.
"god we really are such womanless losers." sunghoon shakes his head, clicking his keyboard to respond to you.

yayyyyy ok (^。^) c u in a couple !
thx hoonie once again !! i rlly owe u 4 this (*´∀`*)
you're kicking your feet up and down after confirming your plans with sunghoon, flipping your phone shut. you call for gaeul outside of the hall to tell her the news and to help you pick a outfit.. hopefully not overdoing it.
touching up your lipgloss and twirling yourself in front of your mirror to finalize your look, you're more than ready.
"don't get him too flustered y/n.. he's probably never felt the touch of a woman." gaeul warns, handing you your keys. oh how gaeul was so wrong about sunghoon..
you knock on sunghoon's door, swinging open to meet eyes with his roommate, jongseong. he stares at you in disbelief not thinking that the plans in sunghoon's inbox would actually happen. "hi! i'm y/n, is sunghoon here—?"
"no fucking way." jongseong comments, completely ignoring your question. his eyes are opened wide like saucers and all you could do it at the door step is fiddle with the bottom hem of your short pink skirt and wait.
"is she already here jay— oh. hello y/n." sunghoon sees you up close, once again. he kind of already knew you were on the way when he heard the dangling charms on your arm bag down the hall as you took your steps closer to his front door. and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't attracted to you. "hi hoonie—!" you smile over at the door frame, looking over jongseong's shoulder. god that new nickname made him want to drop at his knees.
"s—sorry! i should've let you in since i've opened the door—!" jongseong stutters. you throw your manicured hand out, brushing it off. "oh it's okay jay. do you guys have any drinks—? not alcoholic or anything." you self invite yourself to open their fridge that was in the kitchen right by their entry. "um y/n." sunghoon mumbles, "hmm—?"
"please take off your shoes.." right. feeling slightly embarrassed, you say a quick apology and kick off your shoes, leaving them on the shoe mat. "don't worry about it." sunghoon reassured. walking back into the kitchen, you examine their fridge, wow. they really had a lot of choices, and a lot of food from packaged from the local convenience store. but enough of that, you settle with a strawberry milk cart and shut the fridge door.
"sooooo where are we gonna study—?" you turn to sunghoon, sipping your drink and awaiting a response. "in my room.. jay is playing a very important match of star craft in the the living room." sheepishly rubbing his head and gesturing to jay sitting on the couch, that had his eyes glued to the tv monitor as he started the game.
"okay-!" you say, following sunghoon into his room. you notice the lack of decorations, only a couple of figurines on his shelves, mainly filled with textbooks. "you sure do have a lot of dangling charms." sunghoon comments, scanning your arm bag and your phone charm.
"is it a problem—?" your eyebrows raises, eyes following sunghoon direction to your bag. "no no no! not at all, it was just an observation—!" quick to deny with no doubt.
you grin, only seeing how long it would until sunghoon gives in to your charm.
"so for this problem you can" you interrupt sunghoon, "can we take a break?" he blinks in response, "sorry hoon i interrupted you—" "don't worry y/n. and yeah, we can take a break." your lips stretch into a little grin, getting up from where you and sunghoon were both sitting on the end of his bed, littered with papers and textbooks.
you go to his desk where you left your bag, bending over to grab a a container of green grapes. you purposely take a long time searching your bag and giving sunghoon the view of a lifetime; your mini skirt showing your little lace panties that hugged your chubby folds. sunghoon bits his lips to suppress a groan, feeling his erection growing.
sunghoon grabs a pillow to place over his lap, in hopes of his bulge would go down. you smirk to yourself, knowing that sunghoon has had more than enough time to see what was under your miniskirt. "want a grape hoonie—?" you offer, plopping yourself beside sunghoon on the end of his bed again. sunghoon nods his head.
holding out your container for him, sunghoon grabs a small handful of grapes, the both of you guys eating in silence. and you don't know what possessed you, but after the container was emptied, you lifted the pillow that was on his lap. and there behold; his boner.
he scrambles to grab the pillow again, but you grab at his wrist with your smaller hand. god did you just the veins and how thick his digits were. "y/n i'm sorry i—" sunghoon panics to find a choice of words, lucky for him, you interrupt. "you're rock hard hoonie.. because of me?"
"mmph. fuck. yeah." sunghoon groans, seeing you climb over his lap and straddle him. "let me take care of your little problem down there for you hoonie.." you offer.
"oh my god hoonie—! right there!" you moan, body perched against his bigger frame as he's stuffed two fingers deep in your sopping cunt, your panties being hooked to the side. "clenching around my fingers so tight, fuck. i knew this was planned from the start." he grunts in response, scissoring and twisting his digits.
it was so messy. you were a crying, sobbing, mess from the pleasure of sunghoon's digits hitting you so deep, reaching places you could never with your measly little hands. and never did you expect this from sunghoon..
you expected sunghoon to be a nervous, stuttering mess, but instead he was calm and collected, the one that was in control and power of letting you cum.
sunghoon's free hand was under your low-cut baby tee, grasping at your juicy tits that spilled out of your bra, taking his hand out from underneath your shirt and tugging it off and over your head, effortlessly unhooking your bra alongside it. fat tears rolling down your cheeks, smudging your eye makeup as you feel sunghoon speed the pace of his fingers, making you see stars and have you completely ruined at his mercy. breath hitching when you feel the coil in your stomach about to snap.
"just hold it out a bit longer for me, okay—?" he coos at you, tucking the strands of hair that draped over your eyes behind your ears. "hoonie please! s' so good." you babble, hands tugging at the collar of his shirt. you stretched it out so much that his collarbone showed.
a bead of sweat trickles down your forehead when sunghoon grants you permission to let go, spongy walls spasming around his digits as you crash forward and land your face against his chest. "that's it. did so well for me." sunghoon hums in satisfaction, licking your sweet release off his fingers and rubbing the side of your hips affectionately, pulling your panties back in place. you frown at sunghoon, hoping he wasn't done.
"i still haven't taken care of your problem down there.."
shuffling off his lap on the bed, you scramble and drop down to your knees; heels of your feet hitting against the plush skin of your ass. eyes looking up to sunghoon, awaiting. "shiiit, you're so pretty." he groans, seating himself up and off the edge of his bed.
looking down at you with your begging eyes that were inviting him to ruin you. and boy were you going to have such a story for gaeul when you get back home. "hoonie.. fuck my mouth?" you ask, hand reaching down to rub at your neglected clit. and who was he to refuse you, especially when you said please. pulling down his sweatpants along with his boxers, sunghoon is much much bigger than what you initially expected.
"oh…" your jaw almost dropping, but you contain yourself to just gulping nervously. "not big enough for you—?" he teases, hand coming down to grasp his length and pump himself as he waits for you put your mouth on him. "no.. you're too fucking big hoon. you're gonna destroy me." you rasp out, watching him take his hand off himself and replacing it with your own, making sunghoon hiss at the contact. he chuckles at your response, "we'll make it fit, don't worry— fuck—!" he moans, breath hitching when you try to take as much of his inches into your mouth, choking at about halfway. you look up, pleading for him to help you out. and so he did. hand grabbing at a chunk of your hair to create a makeshift ponytail and push his hips forward with a few experimental thrusts.
you didn't show him any signs of stopping, so sunghoon continued. he lets out a long groan feeling his tip his the back of your throat, along with the sensations of your harsh sucks. you moan around his thickness at the slight of his thick framed glasses fogging up with his heavy pants. your hands that were placed on on his thighs tapping twice to let you breathe in which he immediately pulled off of you. sunghoon holds his hand out for you grab and pull you up, wiping the saliva that was dribbling down the sides of your lips. "okay—?"
"s' okay." you giggled reassuringly, sunghoon smiles and places a kiss on your lips, and you could taste yourself from your previous orgasm from earlier against him. "think you can handle more..?" sunghoon asks with an eyebrow raised. "yeah. i want you to fuck me." you shrug, pushing him backwards so that he sat on his bed, initiating that you were gonna ride him, but no no no.
sunghoon manhandles you until your flat on your stomach. flipping your already hiked skirt up, not making much of a difference, kneading at the soft flesh of your pantie clad ass as you arch your back, wiggling yourself back at him for more. "so wet for me jesus." he grunts, pulling your now ruined paired down and over your ankles, tossing it somewhere in his room. he pulls his own shirt over his head and you oogle at his toned body, sunghoon laughs at your expression.
"only for you hoon. please. wanna feel your big dick inside me pleasepleaseplease." you beg, pushing your ass back to him in hopes he wouldn't make you wait any longer. sunghoon didn't, you look over your shoulder to see him reach over his nightstand to grab a condom, taking it out of the wrapper and placing it over him, giving a few experimental tugs before aligning the tip with your entrance. breath ragging as you feel him push in slowly, sunghoon groans alongside with your heavy breaths, the feeling of your walls gripping him so tightly.
if this was what heaven was like, sunghoon wouldn’t ever want to leave that place.
pulling out until only his tip was left in you and plunging forward again, sunghoon finds a pace that has you screaming his name like your life depended on it. "ngh—! hoonie harder—!" you shriek, making sunghoon remember that jongseong was still in the apartment and could probably hear what the two of you have been doing. pushing your head into his pillows, he grunts, speeding up the pace of his thrusts that made pleasure seep throughout your whole body.
"god y/n. your pussy feels so fucking good." sunghoon whispers, the room filling with nothing but the slapping sounds of his hips clashing against your ass. you moan into the pillow sheets, gripping his length like a vice and sunghoon wonders if he could ever feel you around him one day without a condom in the way. his hands grip your hips so hard that you know would leave a mark.
"gonna cum hoon. i need to cum hoonie please." you whimper as you lift your head up from his pillows, sunghoon groans again, his deep strokes hitting every right spot in your body. "let go for me y/n." he says, your body gives out, your whole upper half crashing against the soft material of his mattress as you coat his condom covered dick in your creamy white substance. sunghoon stills his movements, finishing inside the condom before pulling out. taking it off of him and twisting it before tossing it in the mini trash can by his bed.
putting his boxers back on and laying himself beside you. pulling you into an embrace as he put his tshirt over your body. the room is no longer filled with a sexual atmosphere, a piercing silence filling the air.
"we didn't fully revise your paper.." sunghoon speaks up, your head resting against his panting chest. you let out a loud laugh, playfully swatting at his shoulder, "god hoon! you just fucked the living life out of me and your already all books and brains again!" "sorry sorry." he chuckles.
"mm it's okay we can revise it tomorrow." you murmur. "after you let me take you out on a date—?" you nod and place a kiss on his lips in agreement.
"you know sunghoon.. i really didn't expect you'd have it in you.." you whisper, eyes half lidded. "what? you thought i was a whimpering virgin who's never felt the touch of a woman—?"
"that's exactly what i thought."

Tumblr media
ʚ・max verstappen
the living room was quiet, the soft glow of a lamp casting a warm light over the couch. you perched on the edge, setting your phone up on the coffee table, angling it perfectly toward where max would sit. the screen reflected your mischievous grin as you hit record.
the sound of the shower shutting off echoed down the hall, followed by max’s footsteps. he walked in, towel over his shoulder, hair damp and messy.
“what are you doing?” he asked, narrowing his eyes.
you leaned back casually, fighting a smirk. “nothing. just waiting for you.”
max dropped onto the couch beside you, still toweling his damp hair. without hesitation, he leaned in and kissed your cheek softly. as soon as he pulled away, you casually wiped the spot, pretending to fix your hair.
his brows furrowed. “did you just wipe that off?”
you glanced at him, feigning confusion. “wipe what off?”
“my kiss,” he said, narrowing his eyes.
“no, i was just fixing my hair,” you replied, your tone so casual it could’ve won an oscar.
he stared at you for a second but shrugged it off. leaning in again, he kissed your temple this time, holding it for a moment longer before pulling back. you bit the inside of your cheek to suppress a laugh as you wiped it away, pretending to scratch your face.
“okay, now you’re definitely wiping them off,” he said, his tone sharper.
“max, you’re imagining things,” you said, giving him an innocent look.
“i’m not imagining anything!” he shot back, leaning forward with a slight pout. “why are you doing this? did i do something wrong?”
“you’re overthinking it,” you said, brushing off his concern.
he frowned, leaning in for a third kiss, this time planting it on the corner of your mouth. when you wiped that one off too, his mouth dropped open. “seriously? are you mad at me or something? just say it if you are.”
“i’m not mad!” you said, fighting to keep a straight face.
“then why are you being weird?” he snapped, now visibly salty. “do you not want me to kiss you anymore? should i stop?”
you burst out laughing, grabbing your phone off the table and showing him the recording. “baby, it’s a tik-tok trend! i was messing with you!”
his jaw clenched as he realized, then he groaned dramatically, flopping back into the couch. “you’re actually the worst,” he muttered, though the corners of his mouth twitched.
“aww, don’t be mad,” you teased, leaning over to kiss his cheek.
he huffed, shaking his head. “you're an asshole,” then, with a smirk, he kissed you again and wrapped his arm around you, "but i guess i love you anyways." keeping you locked in place.
ʚ・lewis hamilton
the front door clicked open, and you glanced up from the couch to see lewis stepping inside, duffel bag slung over his shoulder. his face looked tired, but he still gave you a soft smile, the kind that made your heart melt every time.
“long day?” you asked, setting your book aside.
“you have no idea,” he said with a sigh, dropping the bag by the door. “flights, media, and a race weekend? i’m ready to collapse.”
“sounds like you need some love,” you teased, patting the seat beside you.
lewis chuckled, kicking off his sneakers before walking over. he plopped down, wrapping an arm around you and pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
“missed you,” he murmured.
you smiled but casually brushed your hand over the spot where he’d kissed, pretending to fix your hair. lewis’s brow furrowed slightly, but he didn’t say anything, instead leaning in to kiss your cheek. when you wiped that off too, his lips parted in disbelief.
“did you just… wipe my kiss off?” he asked, his tone soft but genuinely confused.
“no, i was just adjusting my sweater,” you replied, keeping your face straight.
he tilted his head, watching you carefully now. “right… okay.”
a few moments passed, and lewis leaned in again, this time kissing your jawline. before he could even pull back fully, you wiped it off with a quick swipe of your hand.
“alright, what’s going on?” he asked, sitting up straighter. his voice was still calm, but there was a hint of frustration now. “did i do something wrong?”
you shrugged nonchalantly. “i don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“babe, you’re wiping off my kisses!” he said, his brows knitting together. “if you’re mad, just say so.”
“i’m not mad,” you said, trying not to laugh at the utterly baffled look on his face.
lewis leaned back, crossing his arms. “so, what? you don’t like my kisses anymore? should i stop?”
you couldn’t hold it in anymore, grabbing your phone from the coffee table and bursting into laughter. “i was recording the whole thing,” you admit, "it's a tik-tok trend, a hilarious one i must admit, you should've seen your reaction."
he stared at you for a moment, processing, before shaking his head with an exasperated laugh. “you’re unbelievable. you had me thinking i did something wrong!”
“you’re too sweet,” you teased, leaning over to kiss his cheek.
he smirked, pulling you into his lap. “if this is your idea of fun, just wait. payback’s coming, and it’s gonna be good.”
ʚ・george russell
the room was dim, only the soft glow of the bedside lamp lighting the space as you slid into bed next to george. he was already lying on his side, scrolling through his phone, his hair still slightly damp from his shower. the sheets rustled as you snuggled under the covers, your head resting against the pillow.
“finally, you're here,” he said with a soft smile, turning off his phone and setting it on the nightstand. “i thought you’d be up all night organizing stuff again.”
“you know me too well,” you replied, adjusting the blanket and shifting closer to him.
george chuckled, brushing a lock of hair out of your face before leaning in to kiss your forehead. as soon as he pulled back, you absentmindedly wiped your forehead, pretending to smooth out a strand of hair.
george stopped, his gaze fixed on you, a slight furrow in his brow. “did you just… wipe off my kiss?”
you blinked innocently, tilting your head. “what? no, i didn’t.”
he leaned back, clearly unconvinced, his lips twisting into a half-smirk. “really? that’s how we’re doing this now?”
“doing what?” you asked, trying to keep a straight face.
he raised an eyebrow, glancing at you before brushing it off. “never mind,” he muttered, shaking his head, but he didn’t take his eyes off you as he repositioned himself to get more comfortable in bed.
a moment later, george leaned in again, this time kissing the top of your nose. before he could fully pull back, you reached up and wiped it away, pretending to rub your eyes.
he sat up slightly, blinking in disbelief. “are you serious? again?”
“serious about what?” you asked, turning toward him with a sweet smile.
he let out a slow exhale, clearly trying to process. “you’re wiping off my kisses like it’s nothing. are you trying to tell me something here?”
you shrugged, still maintaining the innocent act. “it’s not like that, george.”
his voice was a little quieter this time, a mix of confusion and playfulness. “okay, now i’m starting to wonder. do you actually not want my kisses or what?”
you quickly reached for your phone, clicking the screen and showing him the recording. “george, it's a tik-tok”
his eyes widened in realization, and he let out a half-laugh, half-sigh. “seriously? you’ve been messing with me this whole time?”
“yep,” you said, grinning.
he raised an eyebrow, shaking his head. “you're lucky you're cute."
ʚ・carlos sainz
the kitchen was quiet, sunlight spilling through the windows as you sat at the counter, sipping your coffee. carlos was standing by the stove, flipping pancakes with the focus of a man on a mission, but his usual easygoing vibe was still present. he glanced over at you as he set the pan down, a lazy smile forming on his face.
“good morning, cariño,” he said, his voice still thick with sleep, though there was a sparkle in his eyes. “how did you sleep?”
“like a log,” you said, taking a long sip of coffee. “thanks to you keeping me up late last night.”
he laughed, his eyes twinkling as he moved to grab the syrup. “so you admit it? i’m just too irresistible.”
you rolled your eyes, setting your mug down. “not quite. you’re more like a human heater, honestly.”
“ah, a heater with a great smile,” he added, leaning in to kiss your forehead. before he could pull away, you quickly wiped the spot, pretending to adjust your hair.
he froze, standing there for a second with a confused look on his face. “eh? did you just wipe off my kiss?”
you looked up at him innocently, trying to hide your smile. “what? no, I didn’t.”
“no? okay…” he said, his voice now filled with playful suspicion. he raised an eyebrow. “that’s… interesting.”
he took a step back, eyeing you carefully. “so, you don’t want me to kiss you anymore, is that it? too much affection?”
“what are you talking about?” you asked, feigning confusion. “i just didn’t want syrup on my face.”
carlos chuckled, but he leaned in again, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek. before he could even fully pull away, you wiped it off again, this time more exaggerated.
he raised his hands in mock surrender, stepping back dramatically. “okay, okay, you’re messing with me now, right?”
“no, I’m not,” you said, trying to stifle your laugh. “seriously.”
he narrowed his eyes at you, clearly starting to get annoyed. “are you doing this just to mess with me? i’m here, making pancakes, and you’re wiping off my kisses? do you want to break up or something?”
“what? no!” you exclaimed, trying not to crack a smile. “I swear, I’m not doing anything weird.”
he sighed deeply, rubbing his forehead. “you’re making me feel like I’m doing something wrong. why are you wiping my kisses away?”
that was when you couldn’t hold it anymore. you grabbed your phone from the counter, showing him the recording of the whole thing. “carlos, it’s a prank!”
his eyes widened as he watched the footage, then he groaned, dramatically slouching against the counter. “you’re unbelievable. seriously, I’m making my famous fluffy pancakes and this is what I get?”
“you know you love me,” you said, laughing.
he shook his head, rolling his eyes. “fine, fine. but just wait, I’m going to get you back for this one.”
“we’ll see about that,” you teased, reaching for a pancake.
ʚ・charles leclerc
you were curled up on the couch, charles beside you with his arm draped over your shoulders as you both relaxed after a long day. the movie was on, but you weren’t really paying attention. instead, you were watching charles every now and then, his focused expression as he tried to get into the plot. a small, playful thought crossed your mind, and you couldn't help but act on it.
you nudged him lightly, leaning in to plant a quick kiss on his cheek, but as soon as you pulled back, you wiped it off with exaggerated care, pretending to smooth a stray strand of hair.
charles paused, the film still playing in the background, but he was no longer paying attention to it. he turned to you, a brow raised and a mischievous glint in his eyes. “did you just wipe my kiss off?” he asked, voice a mix of amusement and genuine confusion.
you blinked, acting innocent. “what? no, i didn’t. you must be seeing things, babe.”
he leaned in closer, his smirk growing. “really? because i definitely saw that,” he said, his voice playfully suspicious. "you sure you’re not hiding something?"
“nope,” you replied quickly, your lips twitching with the effort to keep a straight face. “just... adjusting my hair. i have really messy hair, you know?”
“hmm,” he said, squinting at you. “well, i’ll just have to test that theory again, then.”
charles leaned in for another kiss, but this time, he took his time, making sure to press a little longer against your skin. as he pulled away, he looked at you with a smirk, waiting for your reaction.
without hesitation, you wiped your cheek again, this time a little more dramatically, as though he’d just kissed you with a mouthful of chocolate or something.
charles froze, his mouth parting as he tried to process what just happened. “okay, what the hell?” he laughed, his confusion turning into playful disbelief. “now you’re really wiping it off. i swear, if this is some kind of prank…”
“prank?” you asked, feigning innocence. “no, charles, no prank here. just making sure my skin stays clean.”
he let out a deep sigh, shifting so he was facing you fully, his expression a mixture of frustration and laughter. “you’ve got to be kidding me. you’re wiping off my kisses now? i’m feeling personally attacked, mon amour.”
you couldn’t hold back your grin any longer. “oh, charles,” you said, trying not to laugh, “it’s just a little tik-tok, okay? i swear, i love your kisses... just not on my face right now.”
he blinked at you, processing it for a second before it clicked. “wait a minute...” he said, his voice growing mock-serious. “you’ve been messing with me this whole time?”
you nodded, finally letting out a laugh as you grabbed your phone and showed him the video you’d been recording.
charles threw his head back, a laugh escaping as he groaned in exasperation. “you’re impossible,” he said, shaking his head. “here i was thinking i was doing something wrong, and you’re just messing with me for fun.”
“i’m sorry, babe,” you said, still laughing. “but look at that face you made every time i wiped it off! it was too good.”
he shook his head, trying to hide his grin. “i swear, i’m going to get you back for this. but, just so you know, i don’t think i’ll ever kiss you on the cheek again. i might have to kiss you on your hand next time—keep it classy.”
“that’s fine with me,” you teased, leaning in to plant a kiss on his cheek for real this time, savoring the moment. “as long as it’s real this time, i’ll take anything.”
charles wrapped his arm around you again, pressing his lips to the top of your head with a playful sigh. “you’re impossible.”
“i know,” you replied, grinning. “and you love it.”
ʚ・lando norris
you were getting ready to leave the room, heading for the door to grab something. lando, in the middle of streaming, noticed you getting up and paused his game.
“hey, where are you going?” he asked with a playful grin.
“just to grab my jacket,” you replied, already halfway to the door.
he leaned in to give you a quick kiss on the cheek before you left, but as soon as his lips touched your skin, you wiped your cheek with your hand in one swift motion, acting like it was no big deal.
lando pulled back, his expression frozen for a moment. “wait... what?”
you turned to him with wide eyes, completely innocent. “what? i didn’t wipe anything off.”
“you definitely just wiped off my kiss,” he said, his voice laced with confusion.
you shrugged, still acting nonchalant. “nah, you’re imagining things.”
lando squinted at you, his head tilting in that way he does when he’s trying to figure out what’s going on. “seriously? i gave you a kiss, and you wiped it off like... like i’ve got bad breath or something?”
“i didn’t wipe it off,” you said, barely holding in your grin. “you’re being dramatic.”
“no, no,” he said, leaning forward slightly. “i’m pretty sure you just wiped it off. i know i kissed you, and i know it’s gone now.”
you pretended to look at the floor, trying to look innocent. “you must be tired, love. maybe you imagined it?”
he paused for a moment, trying to make sense of it, but after a beat, he shrugged it off and went back to his game. you turned to leave again, and he kissed you once more on the cheek, this time giving you a teasing smile.
before you even gave him a chance to pull away, you wiped the kiss off again—this time with even more dramatic flair, rubbing your hand over your cheek like it was covered in dirt.
“okay, that’s it!” he said, pausing his game once again. “you’re messing with me. why are you wiping off my kisses? what’s going on?”
you couldn’t help it anymore and pulled out your phone to show him the tiktok trend. “you’ve been pranked.”
his eyes went wide for a second, before bursting into laughter. “oh my god, i can’t believe i fell for that!”
you smiled smugly. “what can i say? i’m just that good.”
“next time, i’m getting you back for this one,” he said, still laughing.
meanwhile, his twitch chat was going wild. "lando, how did you not realize this was the tiktok trend?" one viewer typed.
“i swear, i thought i was being tricked by my own girlfriend!” lando chuckled, shaking his head at the screen. "chat's right though, i should've known better."
ʚ・oscar piastri
you and oscar were lounging on the couch, the tv flickering quietly in the background, but neither of you were really watching it. the evening had that lazy, easy vibe where you didn’t need to talk much, just enjoying each other's presence.
oscar was scrolling through his phone, chuckling at something he’d seen. you leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, but at the last second, he turned his head, and your lips landed right on his.
“wait, what was that?” he grinned, pulling back slightly. “since when did you get so affectionate all of a sudden?”
you shrugged, playing it cool. “what can i say, love? just felt like it.”
he narrowed his eyes at you, a mischievous grin tugging at his lips. “hmm, you sure you’re not up to something?”
you raised an eyebrow, acting casual. “nope, just a kiss. no hidden agenda.”
“right,” he said, clearly unconvinced, before leaning in for another kiss. but this time, just before his lips met yours, you quickly wiped your cheek with your hand, like you were brushing something off.
oscar froze, staring at you like you’d just sprouted another head. “wait, did you just—? did you just wipe off my kiss?”
you turned to him with wide eyes, trying to look innocent. “huh? no, i didn’t. you’re imagining things.”
“no, i saw it,” he said, sitting up a little straighter, a grin now playing on his face. “you literally wiped it off like i’ve got something on my face.”
you shrugged nonchalantly. “maybe you do. you never know.”
oscar stared at you for a moment, his grin slipping into mock offense. “so, now i’ve got bad kisses, huh?”
“no, no,” you said, trying not to laugh. “just… you know. maybe a little extra today.”
“extra?” he repeated, leaning in with a suspicious look on his face. “alright, this is definitely a prank. i can tell.”
you bit your lip, fighting the smile that was threatening to break out. “who, me? never.”
“don’t lie,” he said, crossing his arms. “this is 100% a prank. i'm being pranked, aren't i?”
before you could answer, oscar leaned in again, and this time, when he kissed you, he pulled away slowly, rubbing his cheek like he was wiping something off, complete with an exaggerated motion. “is that better?” he asked, grinning ear to ear. “did i nail it?”
you burst into laughter, finally admitting defeat. “okay, okay! you caught me! it's the stupid tik-tok trend.”
oscar chuckled, shaking his head. “you can’t fool me. but, i’ll be getting you back for this one.”
“you can try." you teased.
“oh, we’ll see about that,” he said, leaning in for another kiss, this time making sure you didn’t wipe it off. “but this one stays, just so you know.”

Hybrid Shelter Prologue
warning: mentions of abuse, injuries, some yandereish behavior, and violence
You’ve been working at the hybrid shelter for a few weeks now. It wasn’t an easy job, tending to injured, abused, and scared hybrids, but you did your best.
This was just a part time job until you were able to find something better. Of course you cared about the hybrids, but the money you made wasn’t enough.
You had two other part time jobs that took your time away, and although you loved working at the hybrid shelter, it was only a temporary thing.
Most days were full of games, movies marathons, the occasional check up, and lots of bonding. After all, the goal was to help these hybrids figure out what they wanted. If they wanted to be independent, be a pet, or return/live in the wild.
Today was a bad day, though.
You woke up at 3 am to a call, asking you to come into the shelter early.
“It’s an emergency,” your boss said, taking a moment to breathe before continuing. “A new hybrid came in… you’ll understand when you get here.”
And your boss was right, you understood the second you walked in.
In the corner of the lounge was a cat hybrid. He was backed against the wall, hissing and spitting as his tail puffed up.
“Stay away from me, don’t you dare get any closer!”
All the other workers were covered in scratches, glancing at one another in concern.
“His file,” your boss said from behind you, handing you a folder. “A tale as old as time. Human buys a cat hybrid from a backyard breeder, doesn’t know how to take care of him. The owner abused the poor thing then dropped him off at our door… he was scared and confused, and when we said his owner abandoned him…”
Your nods gestured to the cat hybrid, sighing. “This happened.”
You took a moment to read his file, frowning before you handed the folder back. “Alright, I’ll give it a try. Get a room ready in the infirmary, we’ll need to do a checkup and make sure his vaccinations are up to date.”
The cat hybrid’s ears pinned back as you approached, his tail lashing dangerously. “Don’t take another step closer, I’ll-“
His ears unfolded when you sat down a few feet away from him, giving the scared hybrid a kind smile. “Alright, I’ll stay right here then. Is that alright?”
Though his tail continued to sway erratically, the cat hybrid slowly lowered himself to the ground to match your stance.
“…”
He stayed quiet, eyeing you. All you did was sit there, watching his body language and slowly scooting closer.
“You don’t have to be afraid. I know it can be scary coming to a new place, but there’s other cat hybrids just like you here. They’re all happy, and I take care of them myself.”
He sniffed the air to confirm your words, picking up the scent of other hybrids on you. “… and… you don’t hit them?”
Those words tore at your heart, but you didn’t let it show. You kept a calm smile on your face as you nodded slowly. “No… there’s no hitting here. No punishments either.”
He hesitantly reached out a hand, placing it on your leg before pulling it back. Testing the waters was a good sign. “Will my owner come back?”
“Most likely not… and even if we did, we wouldn’t let them hurt you. Never again.”
With that, he slowly moved forward, leaning until his head rested on your lap, a sign of trust. You gently scratched behind his ears, a soft purr coming from him.
“There you go… that’s a good boy.”
Your boss watched this interaction from a distance, picking up his phone. “Yeah, I think she’s the one. I’ve never seen a hybrid calm down so quickly, she might have the thing we’ve been looking for.”
The rest of the day, the cat hybrid cling to your side, enduring the medical exam only if it meant he got to hold onto your arm.
Already he was scenting you, just like many of the other hybrids did. You were unaware how many had already put their “claim” on you, and how that would affect your future at the shelter.
Leaving wasn’t easy, the cat hybrid, who you named Midnight because of his dark hair, was attached to your hip. He cried and buried his face into your neck when you got ready to leave, only agreeing to let go of you with the promise you’d be back tomorrow.
“Mine… don’t want you to go…” he murmured, just quiet enough for you to not hear.
The next morning you woke up to a text message from your boss. Through your bleary vision you were barely able to make out what it said.
‘Dear (Name), you have been offered a chance to work as a full time employee. You’ll be paid $30 an hour, and you can start tomorrow. Please reply to confirm.’
Although you felt happy, something about the message felt off. Regardless, you needed the money and accepted immediately.
Soon your life would become hectic and full of mystery, but you wouldn’t find that out until later.
Now, you rolled back over and went to back to sleep until your shift began.

What about sukuna with his shy babygirl when reader goes away for a week and hes left alone to take care of her?
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOUR SUKUNA WITH HIS SHY BABYY
silence speaks — ryomen sukuna x f!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: my favorite duo ever and this is really centered around them cuz they so cute but you do make multiple appearances also BIGGGGGG thanks to @bluebell33 for beta-reading <33
Tumblr media
sukuna rarely concerns himself with trifles. the great and feared king of curses has no patience for the mundane.
yet, when it comes to his daughter—his little, bashful shadow—he finds himself tackling challenges he never imagined, especially now that you’ve gone to visit your ill mother for the week.
and left him alone with her.
you had reassured him it would be fine, and he had sneered at the implication that he couldn’t manage a child for a mere seven days.
but now he finds himself cursing you as he stares down the wide-eyed girl standing in the middle of the courtyard.
she’s clutching her favorite stuffed fox, her tiny fingers squeezing the fabric tightly as if it’s her only anchor in the world.
her big eyes flit up to him and then dart away just as quickly, cheeks pinkening as she retreats into herself, the same way she always does when the world feels too big.
sukuna huffs, scratching the back of his head. “what?” he grumbles, his voice rough, but she doesn’t flinch.
not anymore. she’s long since grown used to his tone, his presence, his towering frame. still, she doesn’t answer, only fiddles with the hem of her little kimono.
he exhales sharply through his nose. “if you’ve got something to say, spit it out.”
her lips purse into a small pout, and her voice comes out barely above a whisper. “...hungry.”
of course.
sukuna crosses his arms, his four hands resting against his broad chest as he glances toward the kitchen.
he knows how to prepare a meal in theory—he’s watched you do it countless times—but actually doing it? for her?
“fine. sit,” he commands, gesturing toward the veranda.
she shuffles over without a word, sitting cross-legged with her fox in her lap, her gaze following his every movement like he’s some kind of unapproachable deity—which, to most, he is.
the kitchen is uncomfortably quiet without you bustling about in it.
sukuna’s hands work awkwardly, chopping vegetables with precision but lacking the rhythm you make it look so easy to achieve.
he scowls as he tastes the broth, finding it bland despite his efforts. still, he’s not about to admit defeat.
when he finally places the bowl in front of her, she looks up at him with wide, unsure eyes. “you made it?”
“who else, brat?” he snaps, though there’s no real bite to his words. he sits down beside her, his knee brushing against her tiny one as he watches her cautiously take a sip.
her lips curve into a small smile, and her voice is soft but earnest. “it’s good.”
he grunts, looking away to hide the faint twitch of his own mouth. “damn right it is.”
the next day, sukuna finds himself in the garden, sitting on the terrace with his arms crossed, watching his daughter as she toddles around, her fox clutched tightly to her chest.
she sticks close to him, circling the area but never straying far, her wariness of the world evident in her every hesitant step.
she pauses by the small patch of wildflowers, her tiny hand reaching out to pluck a bloom.
with the flower in her grasp, she shuffles over to him, her gaze flickering between the flower and her father’s intimidating figure.
“what’s that?” he asks flatly, raising a brow as she stops just short of his shadow.
“for...you,” she mumbles, her voice so soft he almost misses it.
sukuna narrows his eyes, leaning back against the wooden pillar as he watches her extend the flower toward him with trembling hands.
“what the hell am I supposed to do with that?” he scoffs, though his voice carries no malice.
her lips press into a nervous line, and she steps closer, holding it out insistently.
her little brow furrows in determination, and for a moment, she looks so much like you that it pulls a rare flicker of amusement from him.
he grunts, snatching the flower between two of his massive fingers as if it’s an inconvenience.
he twirls it once before tossing it onto the porch beside him, his crimson eyes meeting hers. “now what?”
she fidgets, her gaze darting to the ground. “it’s...pretty,” she whispers.
he leans back further, waving her off. “get out of here before you start thinking I’ll entertain you all day.”
she scurries off, her fox in one hand and her quiet laughter trailing behind her. sukuna glances at the discarded flower, its petals soft and vibrant against the wooden boards.
with a grunt, he flicks it off the edge with his finger, muttering under his breath. “ridiculous.”
the days that follow are...strange.
sukuna quickly realizes that his daughter is quiet by nature—content to play alone, to sit with her little fox and hum softly to herself.
she doesn’t demand his attention often, which leaves him both relieved and unsettled.
he’s used to people begging for his time, his favor, his mercy.
but she? she seems perfectly content with the simplest gestures—a pat on the head, a rare smile, his presence alone.
it’s on the third day, however, that she tests his patience.
the rain starts in the afternoon, a light drizzle that quickly turns into a downpour. sukuna is inside, reviewing a scroll, when he hears it—a soft, hiccuping sob from the other room.
he’s on his feet instantly, his massive frame filling the doorway as he finds her curled up in the corner, her fox clutched to her chest, her face buried in its fur.
“what the hell are you crying about?” he asks.
she sniffles, peeking up at him with tear-streaked cheeks. “it’s...loud,” she mumbles, her voice trembling.
it takes him a moment to realize she means the thunder.
he sighs, running a hand down his face before crouching down in front of her. “you’re afraid of a little noise?”
she nods hesitantly, her bottom lip quivering.
“pathetic.”
but instead of leaving her to deal with it alone, he picks her up, her tiny body fitting easily against his broad chest as he carries her to the main room.
he sits down on the tatami mat, cradling her against him as the storm rages outside.
she buries her face in his chest, her small hands clutching at his robes, and for once, he doesn’t push her away.
“you’re fine,” he mutters, his hand smoothing over her hair in an uncharacteristically gentle gesture. “it’s just noise. nothing can hurt you while I’m here.”
and somehow, she believes him.
by the time the week is up, sukuna is more than ready for you to return.
he won’t admit it, of course, but the sight of you walking through the gate fills him with an odd sense of relief.
your daughter, however, is the one who reacts most visibly.
“mama!” she cries, scrambling out of sukuna’s lap and running to you.
you scoop her up, laughing as she babbles about everything that’s happened in your absence, her words tumbling over each other in her excitement.
sukuna watches from the doorway, his arms crossed as he leans against the frame.
“well?” you tease, a playful smile tugging at your lips. “how’d it go?”
“she’s alive, isn’t she?”
you laugh, stepping closer as you shift your daughter in your arms. your free hand brushes against his arm, a small, fleeting gesture that he doesn’t pull away from.
“she is,” you reply softly, tilting your head as you study his expression.
he’s looking past you now, crimson eyes sharp but distant, his gaze lingering on the garden beyond the estate gates.
it’s quiet for a beat too long, the weight of something unsaid hanging between you.
“did you miss me?” you ask, your voice light and teasing, but there’s a genuine curiosity beneath it.
he scoffs, his lips curling into something that’s not quite a smirk.
“don’t flatter yourself,” he mutters, but he turns his back to you, and you can’t help but feel it’s to hide a specific thing.
you smile knowingly, shifting your daughter higher on your hip as she snuggles into you, her fox tucked safely in her arms. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

Tumblr media
⎯ DICK GRAYSON
The carnival lights reflected in his bright blue eyes as he held your hand, weaving through the crowd. His grip was steady, comforting, like he’d never let go. You couldn’t help but laugh when he insisted on winning the biggest stuffed animal at the ring toss—something he accomplished on his second throw, much to the vendor’s surprise. “Ta-da!” Dick grinned, presenting the oversized bear with a dramatic bow. “For the lady.” “Wow, my knight in shining armor,” you teased, hugging the plushie close. “How lucky am I?” “Pretty lucky,” he said with a playful smirk. But then his expression softened, his free hand brushing a strand of hair out of your face. “But not as lucky as me.” You opened your mouth to retort, but before you could, Dick leaned in, his lips brushing against yours in a sweet, tender kiss. The world seemed to fade away, the carnival noise replaced by the rapid thumping of your heart. When he pulled back, his cheeks were slightly flushed, and he was grinning like an idiot. “So…do you like it?” he asked nervously. “Yeah,” you breathed, still dazed. “I like it.”
⎯ JASON TODD
Jason wasn’t one for grand romantic gestures—at least, that’s what he’d always claimed. But here you were, sitting with him on his motorcycle under a clear night sky, the city far behind you. The stars above seemed brighter out here, but nothing compared to the way Jason was looking at you. “You cold?” he asked, tugging his jacket off before you could even answer. He draped it over your shoulders, his hands lingering just a little longer than necessary. “Thanks,” you murmured, your voice barely audible over the sound of your own racing heartbeat. Jason sat back, running a hand through his hair, looking almost… nervous? It was rare to see him like this—unguarded, almost vulnerable. He opened his mouth, then closed it, clearly searching for the right words. Finally, he let out a frustrated huff and turned to you. “Screw it,” he muttered, leaning in quickly before you could react. His lips were warm and surprisingly soft against yours, and though the kiss was a little rough around the edges—just like him—it was perfect. When he pulled back, his cheeks were slightly flushed, and he avoided your gaze. “You… uh… okay with that?” he asked, his voice gruff but quieter than usual. You smiled, leaning in to kiss him again in response, and this time, he didn’t hesitate to kiss you back, his hands settling on your waist as if he’d been waiting for this forever.
⎯ 90s TIM DRAKE
Tim was pacing. Again. You watched him from your spot on the couch, biting back a laugh as he ran a hand through his messy black hair for the fifth time in as many minutes. His cheeks were pink, and he looked like he was trying to psych himself up for something monumental. “Tim, are you okay?” you finally asked, unable to contain your amusement any longer. “Yeah! Yeah, I’m fine,” he said quickly, stopping mid-pace to face you. He hesitated, his lips pressing together before he let out a deep breath. “Actually, no, I’m not fine. There’s something I’ve been meaning to do, and I’m kind of freaking out about it.” You tilted your head, curiosity piqued. “What is it?” Instead of answering, Tim crossed the room in three quick steps. Before you could even process what was happening, his hands were on your shoulders, and he kissed you. It was sweet, hesitant, like he was testing the waters, but it sent your heart soaring. When he pulled back, his face was redder than ever, and he wouldn’t meet your eyes. “I—uh—sorry if that was too sudden,” he stammered, scratching the back of his neck. “Tim,” you interrupted, grabbing his hand. When he finally looked at you, you leaned in and kissed him again, this time with a confidence that made him melt.
⎯ DAMIAN WAYNE
Damian didn’t do things halfway. When he decided he wanted to kiss you, he spent an embarrassing amount of time researching “perfect first kisses” to make sure it went exactly right. But now that the moment was here, all his carefully laid plans had flown out the window. The two of you were walking through the Wayne estate gardens, the moonlight casting a soft glow over the flowers. Damian had been quieter than usual, his hand brushing against yours every so often but never quite holding it. “Damian?” you said softly, stopping to look at him. “Is something wrong?” He turned to face you, his green eyes intense. “No, I just…” He hesitated, clenching and unclenching his fists. “I have something I wish to do, but I…lack experience in such matters.” You blinked, confused. “What do you mean?” Damian took a deep breath, stepping closer. “I wish to kiss you.” Your eyes widened, your heart racing. “Oh.” “May I?” he asked, his voice quieter now, almost vulnerable. You nodded, unable to form words. Slowly, Damian cupped your face in his hands, his movements surprisingly gentle. When his lips finally met yours, it was soft and careful, like he was afraid of hurting you. Despite his nervousness, the kiss was perfect, leaving you both slightly breathless. When he pulled back, he cleared his throat, his cheeks tinged pink. “That…was satisfactory, I hope?” You couldn’t help but laugh, leaning into him. “More than satisfactory, Damian.”
