there is something oddly uncomfortable about mayu and it has been potrayed so beautifully in the anime. she has no malice in her heart for anyone yet she always keeps her walk and talk in check. she is like a freshly solved puzzle but there is one piece that is placed in a wrong way, maybe turned upside down and i just loved how they kept up with that unsetteling aura of hers throughout the series even after the final selection of the soli part. yes, she is the one who gets it ( even i chose the first candidate after watching ) ofcourse like reina most are frustrated with the outcome but you see that is the odd thing about her which seperates her form kumiko, the talent gap.

kumiko always tried catching up to Reina and she has always known that Reina is very talented. so, some part of Kumiko had always known how much she had to work harder to catch up to her but could never realize it. she practiced hard, gave her all yet she wasn't the one to play the soli part. why? because she looked up to Reina, admired her talent and passion. And then, comes a girl who hasn't known Reina like Kumiko did. To Mayu, Reina is a hard-working and passionate player so she does not look up to her, just acknowledges it. In the soli part, if you listen carefully Kumiko's tune is like she is following Reina's lead but with Mayu, she is not following Reina just going toe-to-toe with Reina. it's almost scary, isnt't it? Like Kanade said, "She is terrifying."

taki-sensei is brilliant if he saw the upside down puzzle piece in Mayu.

I knew Caitlyn would go on to commit The Horrors but oh how it hurts to watch her go there. It like, really hurts, damn. Girl you’re being manipulated for hextech.

Mel Mel Mel goddamn SO excited to watch more of her. I hope her bestie didn’t die when she was corrupted. So I was half right that Mel would be magically transported somewhere, but it wasn’t by her own hand.

I need to see more of her spy network and I really want to see her with some magic powers. Common give me a Mel battle!!!!

Also digging the recurring motif of Mel/Ambessa spilling red wine. And red is the color of their spooky enemy.

Jinx/Sevika having the dynamic that jinx/vi would have had in a different timeline is both amazing and terribly sad at the same time. I love it
