A degree? Who needs that anyway?
Boyfriend!Bucky x Female!Reader
summary: Bucky noticed you were exhausted during this time of the semester. Being the supportive golden retriever boyfriend he was, he just wanted to make you feel better. Unfortunately, his efforts only showed him how stressed you really were. So he vowed to support you through it all.
a/n: I have finally finished all my work and am back in business, baby! I'm so excited to spend the cozy season writing and posting again. Thank you for being so patient and supporting. I am so unbelievably grateful for this community. This is for all the academic girlies struggling through exam season like I do...
word count: 1.9k
warnings: feelings stress and not being enough, perfectionsim (and the pressure that comes with it), projecting self worth onto academic achievements, Bucky being adorable and supportive (perfect boyfriend alert!), just a whole lotta fluff
・゚✫* 𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕 。✭・゚✶ 𝒄.𝒂𝒊 ✧*・゚
You were stressed. Bucky knew it. Everyone was walking on eggshells around you, if - ever - you allowed yourself to step out of the apartment to see your friends or work your part-time job. He'd never seen you like this. You were a social butterfly, the total opposite of him with the ability to recharge when you were around the people you loved most. But for a month or so you'd been living the hermit life. And Bucky did not like it one bit.
It gave him an uneasy feeling, a squeeze to his heart, a hatred for anything that could potentially set you off. Because it was there - the potential. He was just waiting for it. For the shoe to drop, for you to break. For him to go on a rampage against all things bothering you.
He knew you were strong and stubborn, and that you hated to ask people for help. But there was only so much a person could endure. Hell, Bucky knew too well himself. Because he was the same. He hated asking for help - he hated accepting that he was bad at something. But this... just broke his heart.
He tried to take you out, to get you to eat with him - anything to get you back to your normal routines. But not even when he mentioned your favorite pastime activity did he get an enthusiastic smile out of you. That’s when he knew something was seriously wrong. Well, not something. He knew it was University. You’d complained about your professors at the beginning of the semester to him, how they were too ambitious for their own good and required a mountain of weekly readings not even that guy from Transformers could manage. Now... towards the end of the term, he saw how that ambition bled into your papers and final exams.
And Bucky? Well, he didn’t know how to act around you. It seemed like a silly selfish problem but normally you would be the one seeking contact and physical touch. He enjoyed it every time but he was just not good at initiating it himself. You’d seemed to shut him out completely. Working yourself away on your desk only to fall asleep on it and have Bucky carry you to bed. He hated seeing you like this.
He knew it wasn’t a permanent state - it couldn’t be. Because even though he considered you the strongest person he knew, there had to be a point at which even you broke.
And then, one day, it just happened. Without warning. Bucky hadn’t wanted to be right, so he had just ignored the thought of your breaking beneath all the pressure completely. And that was why he did not have as much as a hunch when you were talking over breakfast and the dam broke.
You had been up since well before Bucky had finally convinced you to eat with him. He’d even gone to your favorite bakery this morning to get the little pudding pastries you loved so much. And when he came back, he silently pulled your chair back and dropped you at the dining table. Everything seemed pretty good for a while. And then, out of nowhere, while Bucky was telling you about his trip to the Bakery, you had just started crying - hard.
Bucky had never seen so many tears. Not even when the wives of his fellow soldiers stood at the peer waving his comrades goodbye with white handkerchiefs. He shook the memory away. He thought the amount of tears quite impossible with the neglect of drinking water he had witnessed over the past week but they just kept coming. And Bucky wanted to hold you but something told him it wouldn't help one bit.
You were sobbing into your hands drawing in shaky breaths as you hid your face from him and everything inside him began to scream. Scream at him for sitting there frozen like an idiot and screaming at all the professors who deserved nothing more than a good punch in their oh so intelligent faces.
"It's just all too much. I’m so exhausted, Bucky.” A trembling breath that was muffled by your hands pressing into your mouth. Bucky was raging, but he let you continue. “And I hate that... I hate that I let this consume so much of my time and ...me. I hate that I let it affect me so much when I’m at the point at which I don't even know if it's worth it anymore.”
Bucky drew in a sharp breath at that statement. You had been working so hard, dedicated so much time and effort to work toward a goal he wanted you to achieve as much as you wanted to initially. To hear you doubt yourself broke his heart into a million pieces. He knew you were capable of it, but something told him not to say that just now. It was then you finally lifted your face and let your reddened eyes search for his. His fingers itched to touch your face. Why didn’t he do so?
“And it doesn’t help that everyone believes in me you know?” He nodded, though he didn’t quite understand. “I love each of my friends but every person that tells me they believe in me and how they don’t even doubt I’ll make it adds more pressure on top of the standard I set for myself.”
This was it. This was the moment he needed to touch you. Bucky rose from his chair and knelt down beside yours. His warm hand reached up toward your face and you immediately fell into his embrace. Your forehead pressed into his muscular shoulder, your arms reached around him and his entire body felt tingly as relief flooded through it.
"I am so scared I'm going to fail.” You exhaled into his shirt as his hand gently stroked your back. He wanted to tell you how failing wasn’t bad. How much he would love you regardless and how stupid a dumb degree was anyway. He wanted to kiss you and whisper against your skin how you could excel at everything you tried by simply being yourself because, for Bucky, you were the epitome of perfection.
But he didn’t do any of it. Because he also knew how important this was for you. Even if you were questioning if anything was worth it at this point - it definitely wasn’t in his eyes if it meant seeing you so crushed by something as trivial as a file on your computer - Bucky knew he’d help you walk through a hurricane if that was what you needed from him. Hell, he’d gladly do so if it would bring your beautiful smile back to your face. This degree felt really close to what he imagined walking through a hurricane to be like right about now. And he thought that he would never want one himself if this was what you had to go through in order to get it. Besides, who needed a degree anyway? Back in his day, you weren’t more special for it. Being a soldier did the job just fine... then again, that was probably worse than the hurricane thing. Focus Bucky.
Bucky pulled back and kissed your tears off your face and then he pressed one more kiss to your salty lips for good measure. Yes, he’d do anything for you - degree or not.
“What can I do to help you, love? I hate seeing you like this.” He froze for a second in fear of adding more pressure by expressing his sadness. And surely, you just started crying harder as your face fell forward again. Oh no, Bucky thought.
“I-“ you hick-uped, “I don’t know.” Seriously where did you get all that water from? “I love you so much. And I appreciate you so much and I know you want to comfort me but if we were to cuddle for an hour I would just stress myself out about the time I could spend studying - even if all I wanna do is cuddle you.” The stream didn’t stop when you cried harder. “And I hate that!”
Bucky nodded frustrated. "I love you too.” And then he cradled your head with his metal hand.
For a good minute, you just stayed like this. Bucky pressed you deeper into his chest until your sobs slowly died down and your stuffy breathing became steadier. He kissed your hair just to stroke over it again and then kiss it once more. For the first time in weeks, he felt like he did something that relaxed you a little. And even though you had just cried a river in your kitchen, you were so much calmer than before.
You sniffled adorably when you looked up at him after some time. “Just know I know how difficult I am right now. I cannot wait for this to be over. It’s just... I don’t even know how to take care of myself right now, I can’t possibly know how to include you in this as well.” A final tear fell and Bucky was fast to wipe it away. “But I am so glad you’re here.”
“Okay, I understand.” He answered and hugged you again, vowing to initiate daily cuddle/relief breaks from here on out. There wasn’t much he could do, he knew that and hated it too. If he could, he would write your papers for you, but Bucky was convinced he was not nearly smart enough for that, so anything else had to make do. He’d keep the apartment clean so you had a good atmosphere to learn, he’d make sure you slept and ate on time, and he’d supply all the love you deserved regardless of exam season. “And you just know that I will be here for you, patiently waiting until you have the capacity to include me again.” He pushed your hair from your forehead and kissed you sweetly. “I will support you in everything you do...” Another kiss, this one, you reciprocated. “Always.” And another long, warm lasting kiss to seal his promise. “If you promise me one thing... one thing only,” he whispered.
“What is it?” You whispered back.
“Promise to let me take care of you. I know you would spend 25 hours in a day studying if it were possible, but you can't keep it up like this.” He nodded. “Let me make sure you have the headspace for all your studying. Don’t deny my bringing you food, or dragging you to bed. And collect at least three kisses and one hug every day for emotional support,” he smiled faintly, a cheeky glimmer in his eyes that shone in yours as well.
“Okay, I promise.”
Bucky kissed you again, pressing your body against his with gentle strength. His heart began to beat faster when he felt your nails rake down his shoulders.
From then on Bucky would come up to you and hug you for a couple seconds, calling it ‘quick recharge’. He would hold you when you cried - but only when you cried because you needed to spend your dedicated hours of studying- holding you was for later. And then he would remind you to drink enough water after watching your tears soak into his shirt. But what he looked forward to the most, were the evenings when you would cuddle into his side in bed and let him lull you to sleep. He felt accomplished as he watched you relax outside the study schedule you set up with him, being able to fully be present when you ate together or went to bed. There were still rough times, but Bucky was there to hold you regardless, smiling at the fact that his touch could calm you down and that it would be over soon - and then he’d spend entire days making up for everything that fell short because of that viscous degree.
please take care of yourself, just like Bucky would during an exhausting time like this 💛

KEEPING QUIET — SJY
in which . . . keeping quiet seems to be the hardest assignment yet — sjy x f! reader ୨୧ brother's bestfriend! au wc 875 ・ w kissing, SUGGESTIVE!! jake is a teasing little twat uhhh idk + likes n' feedback are greatly appreciated !
A/N 💌 please don't cancel me for making romance & tension in this fic for i am just a girl who writes fics for the people xx
THE EVENING WAS QUIET, a calm blanket of silence settling over the house as you huddled at your desk, surrounded by notes and open textbooks. Midterms were creeping up fast, and the thought of failing wasn’t an option. You were so focused on your work that you nearly missed the sound of your window sliding open.
You jumped slightly but relaxed as soon as you saw Jake—your brother's best friend, and your secret boyfriend—slipping into your room with that boyish grin of his. His eyes lit up when they met yours before giving a quick glance toward the door, fully aware of the risk he was taking.
“Jake, are you insane?” you whispered, barely able to contain the mix of annoyance and excitement in your voice. “If my brother finds out you’re here…”
Jake only smirked as he pressed a finger to his lips, urging you to keep quiet. "What can I say? Missed you too much to wait," he murmured softly, his voice low and teasing. He shut the window behind him and moved closer, his presence sending a thrill up your spine.
He settled in beside you, looking down at your notes with an exaggeratedly serious face as if he were actually interested. But his arm brushed against yours, and his eyes drifted away from the notes, focused solely on you. "So, how’s the studying going?" he asked, trying to keep his voice casual, but his hand was already sliding to rest on your shoulder.
“Painful, thank you for asking,” you muttered, feigning annoyance even as your heart raced at his touch. You tried to keep your attention on the textbook, but Jake’s fingers lightly traced patterns along your shoulder, and his gaze was far too tempting.
Before you could say anything else, he leaned closer, his breath warm against your cheek. “You look stressed,” he whispered, his lips so close to your skin. “Maybe I can help you relax.”
“Jake,” you whispered in a warning tone, glancing nervously at the door. “My brother’s just down the hall. If he catches you here—”
“Then we’ll just have to be quiet,” he murmured, a mischievous glint in his eyes. His hand slipped to the back of your neck, pulling you gently toward him, and despite every warning in your head, you let yourself melt into his touch.
His lips brushed against your jaw, soft and featherlight, trailing down to your neck as he shifted closer. You bit down on your lip, suppressing a sigh as his hands traced slow, lazy patterns along your back. He was everywhere at once—his fingers in your hair, his lips leaving sparks across your skin.
“Jake,” you breathed out. The tension of keeping quiet only added to the thrill, and he knew exactly how to keep you on edge.
“Don't worry, baby” he murmured, lips grazing the sensitive spot just below your ear. You felt his grin against your skin, cocky and confident, and it made your pulse quicken. He pulled you closer, claiming your lips in a kiss that was slow and teasing. You tried to stay still, but every part of you was drawn to him, aching for more.
His hands roamed down your back, slipping under the hem of your shirt, and his every touch made your heart pace faster. You could feel his heartbeat against yours, his warmth spreading through you, but every nerve was also focused on staying silent, on not giving in to the urge to gasp or sigh.
You pulled back for a breath, eyes darting toward the door. "Jake, we’re going to get caught," you managed to whisper, but your voice sounded as breathless as you felt.
Jake just smirked, brushing a thumb over your cheek. “Then we better be careful,” he whispered, his voice a low, teasing rumble. He leaned in again, his kisses growing deeper, each one leaving you more breathless than the last. His fingers traced along your waist, his touch firm but gentle, as though he was savoring every second.
He pulled you closer, his hand tangling in your hair as he deepened the kiss, his movements becoming bolder. You stifled a gasp as he traced along your jaw, his lips moving lower, but he was relentless, brushing his lips along every sensitive spot he knew would make you squirm.
The door creaked somewhere down the hall, and you froze, wide-eyed, but Jake only paused for a second, grinning as he held a finger to his lips. He placed a lingering kiss on your shoulder, his touch featherlight and teasing, before drawing back just enough to look at you, his eyes full of mischief.
“Guess I should probably get out of here soon, huh?” he whispered, although he didn’t seem to be in any rush to move. He held your gaze for a second longer, leaning in one last time, his lips brushing yours in a soft, lingering kiss that left you wanting more.
He pulled away with a quiet chuckle, his hand trailing down your arm one last time. "Try to focus, alright?" he murmured with a grin, slipping back to the window. But he glanced back at you before he left, and you knew this wouldn’t be the last time he snuck into your room.

MINECRAFT KITTEN ★
( high school! reader x highschool gamer! niki )
IN WHICH: niki, always immersed in games, teasing you for forgetting your minecraft cat, couldn’t help but notice you had a new friend—someone who wasn’t him. but it wasn’t until one night at a festival, standing beside you under the fireworks, that he finally realized something. and for once, he didn’t need a screen to understand what was going on.
a loud screech echoed through your headphones as you watched niki's avatar fall off the cliff, crashing to the ground and losing all of their health in the process.
"ain't no way-" you started, but he quickly cut you off, telling you to shut up, not in the mood for any teasing. it was 3:57 a.m. on a school night, but that was the least of your concerns.
"this is all your fault, i told you i didn’t like this world," niki grumbled, leaning back in his gaming chair, his eyes scanning the screen as he re-entered the world.
"zero game in minecraft, zero game in real life," you mumbled under your breath, but having a microphone connected to your earphones was absolutely no help, since he heard every word you said.
"you're so not funny, i get tons," niki clicked his tongue, watching the village come into view as he sprinted toward it.
"yeah, tons of bad grades," you laughed, taking your eyes off the screen for a moment. a soft click echoed from outside, and you noticed a light flicker on from beneath your door, casting a faint glow across the floor.
as he was about to curse you out, the sound of footsteps creaked through the house. you quickly lowered the screen’s brightness and muttered, "my mom’s awake, i’ll see you tomorrow, niki, bye!"
"but wait, what about our cat-" he started, but you disconnected from the discord call, your modded avatar vanishing from the minecraft world he’d created. now the only thing he had left to do, was to sleep, as you were gone.
the next day came pretty quickly, during lunch, you made your way to his classroom. your found him sitting at his desk, hunched over, eyes glued to his nintendo switch. he barely noticed as you slid into the seat in front of him, pulling out your lunch and setting it down.
"so, you really dipped on me last night?" he said without looking up, moving the controller of his switch with a little more force than necessary, as he started fighting a random huge pokémon with his small pikachu in pokémon sword and shield.
"my mom was awake," you replied, popping the lid off your tupperware and stabbing a piece of meat. "you know how it is."
he clicked his tongue but finally glanced up at you. "yeah, yeah, whatever. still can’t believe you left me hanging like that. our cat was waiting for us, too."
you raised an eyebrow. "so? he barely even likes you. not even my cat in real life likes your annoying ass." you extended the fork with food towards him, as he let you feed him. when niki was concentrated in his game, he could shut out the whole entire world, and completely forget about anything. that was the reason why your mom always packed you extra food for him, knowing you were the only one who got him to pay a little less attention to the screen.
you pulled the fork back, watching as niki chewed without a care in the world, still immersed in the game. his focus was intense, and the soft noises of pikachu screaming an attack was the only sound that seemed to break through his concentration.
"you're not even listening, are you?" you teased lightly, watching as he barely glanced at you before nodding in acknowledgment. his thumbs were a blur against the controller.
he smirked, clearly unfazed. "i’m listening. you were saying something about how a little demon cat doesn't like me." his tone was casual, like he was just humoring you. but there was that hint of curiosity in his voice, the kind that meant he was listening more than he let on.
“mr. whiskers is nice,” you scoffed playfully, changing the subject. "anyway, there's this festival coming up, since tuesday of next week is a free day," you said, trying to sound casual. "and a friend of mine, a year older, invited me to go with him and his friends."
niki didn’t take his eyes off the screen, but you could tell his attention was piqued by the way his fingers slowed on the controller. he didn't exactly say anything right away, so you continued, trying to sound casual. "everyone is talking about how it'll be fun, so it's gonna be pretty packed."
"who’s this friend?" niki asked, finally glancing at you, his voice sounding just a bit sharper than usual. it wasn’t so much that he was interested, but more like he was curious in his own way.
"remember, i’m the manager of the school boy’s volleyball team?" you said, leaning back a bit. "that’s how i met the captain, won- i mean, jungwon. he’s nice. a year older, but-“
"won?" niki interrupted, his tone suddenly flat, as if the nickname itself had an edge to it. he looked at you then, eyes narrowing just a fraction. his attention on the game was gone now, replaced by something else. "you guys close or something?”
you raised an eyebrow, sensing his change in mood. "close? no. he's just... he's just a friend. we're all friends, won, jake, kai, taehyun and i, you know. i hang out with the team often." you tried to brush it off, but you couldn't help the feeling that niki wasn’t as casual as he made it seem. it was like you’d hit a nerve.
niki didn’t respond immediately. his fingers paused mid-game, and his gaze lingered on you for a few moments. the air between you two shifted, and even though he tried to mask it, you could tell he wasn’t thrilled at hearing you talk about another guy.
"so, are you going?" he asked, a little more distant than before, but you knew that tone. it was his way of pretending not to care. still, there was something about it that made you smile to yourself. he didn’t like you talking about other guys, but he wasn’t going to admit it.
"i dunno," you replied, shrugging it off. "i might. i’ll see if it’s actually worth going, he said there will be fireworks, and different kinds of games, and a lots of stalls."
niki didn’t seem convinced, but he didn’t argue either. instead, he gave a half shrug, his eyes flicking back to the screen. "i’ll think about going too," he said, and even though his words were dismissive, you knew he was quietly processing it.
you let out a quiet laugh, not sure if you were teasing him or just amused at how easily he shut down the subject. before you could comment, he stood up suddenly, stretching his arms out like he had something else on his mind. "come on," he said, his usual aloofness creeping back in. "let’s go to the vending machines. i’m thirsty."
you raised an eyebrow at him, watching as he walked toward the classroom’s door without another word. "you know, you’re acting pretty weird right now," you said, following him down the hallway. "it’s just a guy."
niki gave you a side glance, but his expression was unreadable again. "i’m not acting weird," he muttered, as if that would somehow make it true. "i don’t care about it, i’m just thirsty."
you couldn’t help but smile to yourself, knowing exactly what was going on. niki was reserved, always keeping his emotions tightly locked up, while you were, well, the complete opposite. a social butterfly who loved to stir things up and keep things light. but you knew him well enough to sense that he cared more than he let on, even if he was never going to say it out loud.
two days later, you were at volleyball practice, chatting with the team during a break. the gym buzzed with the sound of sneakers squeaking on the polished floor, the occasional thud of a ball being spiked, and the light banter between the guys. jungwon, the captain and libero, had just tried some ridiculous move, a roll across the floor in a desperate attempt to save the ball, and you couldn't help but burst into laughter.
"wow, amazing, won," you teased, grinning. "really thought you were going to pull off a cool dive, huh?"
jungwon groaned, rubbing the back of his neck as he stood up, his face slightly flushed. "it was supposed to be a dive, but the ball wasn't where i thought it was." he shot you a sideways glance. "i thought you were supposed to be the manager, not my personal critic."
"hey, i'm just helping you improve your style," you said, playfully flicking his shoulder. the guys around you, jake, kai, and taehyun, all chuckled, having seen the whole thing unfold.
"style? that was more like a disaster," kai, the middle blocker, teased, tossing the ball to taehyun.
jake laughed too. "yeah, but i'll give him credit, he looked really elegant rolling around on the floor."
jungwon threw his hands up in defeat. "you're all jerks, you know that?" but the smile on his face gave him away.
as the team continued to joke around, you stayed close to the group, leaning against the bleachers. you could feel jungwon inch a little closer as he joked back, and you teased him some more, throwing playful comments his way. it was all casual, but you couldn't help noticing how natural it felt being around the guys, especially with jungwon close enough that his shoulder brushed yours every now and then.
just then, the doors to the gym swung open with a loud creak, and niki walked in, his eyes scanning the room. as soon as he saw you, his gaze darkened, and he made a beeline for the entrance to the court, his hands stuffed into his hoodie pockets, his expression closed off.
you immediately spotted him and froze for a second. your heart did that funny little skip it always did when you saw him, but you quickly forced it back down, trying to play it cool. "hey," you called out, waving as you approached him. "you never come to practice, what's up?"
niki glanced at you, but his eyes quickly darted to the group of guys around you. you could tell he wasn't exactly thrilled by the scene. "nothing," he muttered, but his voice was a little more clipped than usual. "just wanted to ask you something."
you raised an eyebrow. "what's going on? you look like you've seen a ghost."
niki didn't answer right away. his gaze flicked over to jungwon and the others for a second before his eyes landed back on you. "you told me you'd go to the game store with me today," he said, his tone low but definitely a little frustrated. "i left you a hundred messages, but you completely forgot."
you blinked, momentarily thrown off by his bluntness. "oh, crap," you muttered, cursing under your breath. "i'm so sorry, i totally spaced and forgot to tell you about staying later. i got caught up here with practice, we’re meeting another school tomorrow and-"
"i know," niki interrupted, his voice flat. "it's fine." but you could tell it wasn't fine. it never was with niki. when he said it was fine, that usually meant he was irritated and pretending it wasn't a big deal.
you winced, guilt crawling up your spine. "hey, i really am sorry, okay? i didn't mean to leave you hanging, i promise i’ll make it up to you."
there was a moment of silence, then niki sighed, looking around at the guys. he seemed to hesitate for a second before he shoved his hands deeper into his pockets. "whatever. just don't forget again."
you nodded quickly, catching the faint flicker of irritation in his eyes. "i won't. promise. how about we walk back home together alright? i’ll buy you something from the convenience store. practice ends in about fifteen minutes."
niki glanced at the gym’s double doors, then back at you. "fine," he said shortly, but there was a hint of resignation in his voice, like he was done with the whole thing but didn't want to make it a bigger issue. "i’ll wait for you."
you gave him a quick smile, trying to make up for it. "thanks for understanding, niki." he didn't respond, but the tension in his posture seemed to ease just a little as he turned to head up to the highest bleachers. your eyes followed close behind, glancing back at the guys, who were still laughing and messing around.
later that week, friday evening, you were sitting at home, boredom creeping in as you scrolled through your phone. without much else to do, you hopped onto discord and checked your friends list, only to see niki’s activity status showing he’d been on genshin impact for the last 14 hours.
you couldn’t help but laugh a little, shaking your head at how dedicated, or maybe just obsessed, he could get over things. the thought of him locking himself in his room all day just to farm for a character was both amusing and slightly concerning.
without a second thought, you tapped on his profile and hit the video call button. it rang for a few moments before niki’s face appeared on screen, his hair slightly messy, eyes half-lidded, and an unmistakable paleness to his skin.
"hey," you said, raising an eyebrow. "what’s going on with you? you look like you’ve been through a war zone."
niki groaned, clearly annoyed at the interruption, but there was a slight rasp in his voice when he answered. "i’m sick," he muttered, sounding a little congested. "i already told you, didn’t feel like going to school today." his face scrunched up as he wiped his nose, clearly not in the best shape.
you squinted at him through the screen. he looked like he wasn’t exaggerating. his usual energy was gone, replaced with a tiredness that made him look more exhausted than usual. "sick? are you sure?" you asked, your tone softening. "you look like you haven’t slept in days. you should be resting."
niki rolled his eyes, clearly not wanting to hear it. "i’m fine," he muttered, shifting the camera angle to show his screen. genshin impact was open, and he was in the middle of a mission, talking with npc’s. "i’m just trying to farm primos for xiao."
you let out an exasperated sigh, shaking your head. "niki, seriously? you’re sick, and you’re still playing that stupid game?" you almost couldn’t believe it. you were the one who got him to play hoyoverse games, but he was the one who ended up playing more than you. "you’re gonna make yourself worse."
he looked back at you, a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth, though it was a little strained. "well, what else am i supposed to do? i’m already stuck at home. i’m on five pity, and the banner is coming out tomorrow." he sighed.
you rolled your eyes. "fine, fine. but if you’re so determined to farm, i’ll help you. just rest, okay? i’ll log into your account from here, get your missions done and farm domains."
niki gave you a half-smile, knowing full well he was probably better at the game than most people, but also knowing you were ridiculously good at it. "you’d do that?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"yeah," you said, leaning back against your chair and grabbing your keyboard to search for the game. "go make yourself some soup or something. i’ll get you all your xiao mats up, emo boy."
"don’t call me that. i hate that you’re better at this than me," niki muttered under his breath, but you could hear the faint amusement in his voice. "whatever, i still beat you at mario kart. just get me the stuff already. i need it."
"damn, not even a thank you," you said mockingly, already loading up your own game. you shot him one last look through the phone, noticing the way his shoulders seemed to relax just a little, like he was grateful for the help, even if he didn’t show it.
"thank you," he said quietly, the exhaustion finally showing in his eyes as he leaned back in his chair, as he hoped he would get better soon, but nothing seemed to go his way these past couple of days.
niki spent the whole weekend locked up in his room, barely able to escape his mother and sister’s watchful eye. they insisted he stay inside, rest, and recover. especially with the festival coming up and you telling them about inviting him. "y/n won’t want you being sick," she had told him, her voice gentle but firm. "you could use this as a chance to make more friends too, with the volleyball kids she hands out with."
niki, feeling exhausted but too tired to argue, spent the day in his computer or scrolling aimlessly through his phone, but his mind kept drifting to you and the festival. he knew you’d probably end up ditching him for jungwon. after all, you two were practically inseparable, always surrounded by people. you were made for that world, always the social extrovert, flitting from one group to the next, effortlessly fitting in.
and jungwon? he was just like you, outgoing, friendly, always in the center of everything. it made sense, right? you two should end up together. he was a perfect match for you.
but then there was niki, sitting in his room, playing games, not bothering with social stuff. he was reserved, quiet, the guy who stayed on the sidelines and didn’t need to be the center of attention. maybe he wasn’t made for your world. maybe he wasn’t even someone you’d think twice about, even if you told him you considered him your best friend.
it was a stupid thought, but it lingered in the back of his mind until the buzz of his phone broke him out of it.
he glanced down and saw your name on the screen. ‘what now?’ he thought, his heart giving an odd little flutter in his chest, but he quickly opened the message anyway.
‘hey, guess what? i got you the zelda game card you wanted for your nintendo! it’s been out of stock for a while, but i managed to grab one for you. i know you’ve been looking for it! i hope you get better in time for the festival, and for this to cheer you up. ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡’
niki’s eyes widened as he stared at the picture of the game attached to your message. it was exactly what he’d wanted, and he had no idea how you’d gotten it. he hadn’t mentioned it to anyone in a while, so how did you even know? his chest tightened. it wasn’t just the gift. it was the fact that you remembered. you didn’t do this for anyone else. not for jungwon, not for some other guy. you did it for him.
and then, as he stared at the message, it hit him all at once.
you cared. you cared about him. and that made him feel... well, he wasn’t sure exactly how it made him feel, but it felt different, like you were someone who saw him in a way others didn’t. not just as the quiet guy who played video games, but as someone worth thinking about, someone worth doing something nice for.
niki’s face flushed. ‘damn it,’ he thought, running a hand through his hair. he liked you. he liked you a lot more than he realized, and that realization hit him harder than he was ready for. he quickly typed back, his fingers moving almost too fast for him to keep up with his own thoughts.
‘you didn’t have to do that… but thanks. really. it means a lot.’
he stared at the message for a second, unsure if he should add anything more. but he left it at that, feeling a little awkward, a little embarrassed by how vulnerable he felt. he put his phone down on the bed, his heart still racing in his chest. he tried to shake off the feeling, but it didn’t work. something had shifted. and now, he couldn’t stop thinking about it.
it wasn’t just the way you smiled, or how your eyes softened when you spoke to him, it was the little things. the way you noticed when his mood shifted, how you always seemed to understand him without needing to say a word. you made him feel seen in ways no one else had, and he didn’t know when it had happened, but somewhere between your shared moments of silence and laughter, his heart had quietly slipped into a place he wasn’t ready to acknowledge.
you cared about him. and niki, with a soft blush creeping up his neck, was finally ready to admit it to himself. he was head over heels for you. and he had to make sure you knew about it, only, he had no idea how.
tuesday night, the festival was in full swing, the park buzzing with life. strings of twinkling lights hung overhead, casting a warm, golden glow over everything below. bright red lanterns danced in the evening breeze, and the distant hum of music mixed with the laughter of families enjoying the night.
everywhere you looked, there were games, colorful booths with prizes, spinning wheels of fortune, and carnival rides that lit up the dark sky with neon colors. the sweet scent of cotton candy, roasted chestnuts, and sizzling food wafted through the air, drawing people toward the food stalls. couples walked hand in hand, kids ran around excitedly, and the whole scene felt like something out of a dream.
you stood at the entrance of the park, your fingers tapping nervously against your phone. the boys from the volleyball team were around you, chatting and laughing, but your attention kept drifting back to the screen. you had dressed up in your prettiest clothes, hoping to catch his attention. you had even taken the time with your makeup, but despite your effort, you couldn’t shake the growing feeling of disappointment.
you had texted him. called him. multiple times. but niki hadn’t replied, hadn’t even read your messages. the little ‘delivered’ icon beside each one seemed to mock you, and with each passing minute, the knot in your stomach tightened. it was starting to feel like he had bailed on you completely, leaving you standing there, vulnerable, in front of your friends.
jungwon, who had been standing just a little further from you with a lighthearted grin on his face, seemed to sense your unease. his gaze softened as he walked over, putting a gentle hand on your shoulder. “hey,” he said, his voice calm and reassuring, “i know you were hoping niki would show up, but… don’t let it ruin the night, okay? you look great. and we’re all here with you. it’s the festival, after all.”
you nodded, trying to smile, but the weight of your disappointment was hard to shake. jungwon noticed, his eyes sparkling with the familiar warmth that made him so easy to be around. “and if it helps,” he continued, “i’ll buy you and the guys some strawberries with chocolate and marshmallows. how about that? it’ll lighten up the mood.”
you laughed softly, a small but genuine smile tugging at your lips. “you know me too well.”
jungwon’s grin widened. “it’s my job to know my friends,” he said with a wink. “come on, let’s enjoy the festival. there’s still plenty of fun to be had.” his words were comforting, but there was a part of you that still couldn’t help but feel that small sting of disappointment. you tried to push it aside, focusing instead on the atmosphere around you. on the lights, the laughter, and the simple joy of being surrounded by people who cared about you. maybe the night wouldn’t go exactly as you’d imagined, but that didn’t mean it couldn’t still be special.
just as you were about to nod and join the others, a sudden vibration from your phone made your heart skip a beat. it was a notification. niki had finally read your messages. your heart raced as you opened the chat, only to be met with a single, short text from him. ‘running late. konon didn’t like all of my clothing choices. said i looked too gloomy. be there soon.’
a sigh of relief escaped your lips, but it came with a tinge of guilt for doubting him in the first place. still, as you glanced up at the bright lights of the festival, you couldn’t help but feel a flicker of excitement. maybe niki was running late, but at least he wasn’t gone. and with the boys around you, it seemed the night was still full of promise.
"guess what?" you said, looking up at jungwon. "he’s on his way. niki’s coming."
jungwon gave you a knowing smile, his eyes sparkling. “that’s great, tell him we’re either at the food stalls or in line for a game. now, let’s get those strawberries, yeah?”
the group of you laughed and joked as you ate, the mood lightening with each bite. it felt good to be surrounded by your friends. even if niki had made you wait, the night was still shaping up to be fun. after finishing the strawberries, you all made your way toward the ferris wheel, the soft music from the ride drifting through the air. the line wasn’t too long, and the boys were excited, already bickering over who would be paired with who.
just as you were about to get in line, you saw him. niki. he came rushing toward the crowd, his footsteps quick, his eyes scanning the people. his hair was slightly messy, and he looked a little out of breath, like he had sprinted the whole way there. he looked around frantically, and just as he caught sight of your group, his expression softened, a small, sheepish grin tugging at the corner of his lips.
“sorry, sorry,” he muttered, breathless, “konon and my mom made me change my clothes like a hundred times. i swear, she’s always making me late for everything.”
you couldn’t help but laugh, feeling the tension from earlier melt away. "it’s okay," you said with a smile, but your heart was racing a little faster now, just from seeing him. "you made it."
niki gave you a quick nod, his eyes shifting to the boys around you. “hey. what’s up?” he greeted them with a relaxed wave. despite the rush, he seemed completely at ease now. it was like all the nervousness from earlier had disappeared. he wasn’t bothered by your friends anymore. he wasn’t worried about the fact that you were all together, laughing, sharing the night. instead, there was only one thing on his mind, you, and how pretty you looked tonight.
kai playfully clapped him on the back. “you’re so late, man, but glad you made it. the ride’s about to start. get in line, you go with y/n.”
niki gave a slight roll of his eyes, but there was no real frustration there. in fact, he was beaming, his gaze flickering back to you. for a moment, the world felt a little quieter, like everything around you had blurred out, and it was just the two of you standing there, with the bright lights of the festival surrounding you like a halo.
you glanced at him, and when his eyes met yours, there was something new in them. something more confident, something certain. niki smiled softly, and this time, it wasn’t that carefree grin he usually wore when he was teasing. this one was different. this one was filled with meaning.
“you look good tonight,” he said quietly, his words just for you.
your heart skipped, a smile tugging at your lips before you could stop it. “thanks,” you replied, your voice softer than usual. “you don’t look too bad yourself, niki.”
you and niki, along with the rest of the group, had eventually made your way into the ferris wheel, the towering structure glowing against the night sky. you could hear the soft creaking of the wheel as it spun, the occasional shout of excitement from people already on the ride. the boys were already joking around, kai teasing taehyun from the carriage ahead. but for you, the excitement was mixed with a twinge of unease.
you didn’t really like heights.
you were trying to keep calm, to play it cool, but you felt that familiar knot in your stomach tightening as you looked around. niki must have noticed, because when you both settled in, he shot you a quick glance.
“you okay?” he asked softly, his voice a mix of concern and teasing. “i know you’re not exactly a fan of this.”
you laughed nervously, trying to act nonchalant. “i’m fine. it’s fine,” you said, though your grip on the side of the carriage betrayed you.
niki raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced, but instead of saying anything more, he simply reached over and took your hand. his fingers intertwined with yours, offering comfort in that simple gesture. as the ride started moving, you felt your heart race a little, but his hand in yours made it feel a little more manageable. with him there, you could breathe just a little easier.
the carriage slowly ascended, and you tried to focus on the view, forcing yourself to look out at the twinkling lights of the festival below. but as the wheel climbed higher and higher, the world around you seemed to tilt, and you instinctively squeezed niki’s hand tighter. you could hear the distant laughter and chatter from the crowd, but the heights, those dizzying heights, made everything feel overwhelming.
“don’t worry, you’re safe with me,” niki murmured, his voice calm as he gave your hand a gentle squeeze. “i won’t let anything happen to you.”
his words, quiet and reassuring, helped settle some of the panic in your chest, though your heart still fluttered with nerves. he shifted slightly, leaning in closer as the ride made its way to the top, the festival sprawling beneath you like a patchwork of lights and colors. from up here, you could see everything, the food stalls, the carnival games, the laughter of families far below. it was beautiful, breathtaking, but the height still made your stomach churn.
as you reached the very top of the wheel, the carriage slowly came to a halt. for a moment, the ride felt suspended in time, like the entire world below you was frozen. you tried to focus on the view, but your heartbeat quickened, and your palms began to sweat.
then, suddenly, the speakers crackled, and a calm, neutral voice echoed from below. “we apologize for the inconvenience, but it seems the ferris wheel has experienced a slight malfunction. please remain seated. we will resolve the issue within the next few minutes.”
this had to be a sick joke.
your breath caught in your throat. a malfunction? the words hit you harder than they should have. panic surged in your chest as the wheel remained still, suspended high in the air. below, everything seemed so distant, too far away, and you were stuck up here, vulnerable and exposed.
niki immediately noticed the shift in your demeanor. his hand tightened around yours, and he moved closer, his shoulder brushing against yours. “hey, hey,” he said, his voice low and soothing. “it’s alright. it’s just a small problem. they’ll fix it. everything’s fine.”
but it didn’t feel fine. your mind raced, your breathing quickened, and you could feel your heart pounding in your chest. you hated being stuck in places like this, unable to move, unable to control anything.
niki must have sensed your fear, because without saying another word, he shifted closer, wrapping his arm around your shoulders and pulling you into his side. “i’m here,” he whispered, his voice steady. “nothing’s going to happen. just breathe, okay? i’ve got you.”
you tried to steady your breathing, but it was hard. the space around you felt so open, and you couldn't shake the sense of vertigo creeping up. but niki’s presence beside you was like an anchor, grounding you in a way nothing else could. his steady grip on your hand and his arm around you offered a sense of security, his warmth a comfort amidst the rising panic.
he didn’t let go of you. his fingers gently traced circles against your palm as he held you close, his voice soft but constant, reassuring you that everything would be okay “we’re fine,” he murmured. “just focus on me. focus on my voice, okay? i’m right here.”
you nodded, trying to calm your racing thoughts. his closeness, his steady presence, helped push back the panic that had threatened to consume you. the ride was still paused, but you felt a little more at ease with each passing second, comforted by the way he held you, by the way he made you feel safe in a place that usually made you feel so small and vulnerable.
and as you looked out at the view again, it wasn’t quite as overwhelming. it was still beautiful, and though the world was far below you, niki was there, right beside you. and for once, it didn’t feel so bad to be up here.
you leaned into him, feeling the warmth of his arm around your body and the gentle pressure of his hand still holding yours. it was strange, how in the midst of all that panic, just being near him made everything feel better.
after a few more seconds of silence, you glanced over at him, managing a small smile despite yourself. "if they take too long to fix this, we’re going to miss the fireworks," you said, trying to make light of the situation. the fireworks were supposed to start soon, a grand finale to the evening, and the thought of missing them made a small ache form in your chest.
niki chuckled softly, a light laugh that made the air feel a little less heavy. “you really do love your fireworks, huh?” he teased, nudging you gently with his shoulder. “don’t worry, i’m sure we’ll see them. they can’t keep us up here forever.”
you nodded, though you still felt a little uneasy, not sure how long this delay would last. but niki’s voice was steady, and the way he stayed close to you made everything feel just a little bit safer. as you sat there, the ferris wheel slowly swaying slightly in the breeze, something shifted inside you, something that had been building throughout the night.
you looked up at niki, his face soft in the dim light, his expression calm but genuine. his dark eyes, that familiar glint of mischief and warmth, were fixed on you, as if nothing else in the world mattered at that moment except being here with you. and you realized, for the first time, just how much you actually liked him.
it wasn’t just the teasing banter, or the way he made you laugh, or even the way he’d made you feel safe in the middle of your fear. it was something deeper, something you couldn’t quite put into words. the way he cared, the way he was always present, always ready to be there when you needed him.
you shifted slightly in your seat, feeling a little vulnerable with this realization, but you couldn’t hold it back any longer. your heart was beating a little faster, but it wasn’t out of panic this time. it was something else, something that made your stomach flutter and your chest feel lighter.
time seemed to stretch in that moment, like everything had slowed down just for the two of you. the music from the festival, the laughter, the buzz of excitement. all of it faded into the background. the only thing that mattered was the soft rhythm of your breathing and the way your hand felt in niki’s.
you couldn’t remember who moved first, whether it was him or you, but there was a magnetic pull between you, something undeniable. the space between you narrowed, and suddenly, your lips were meeting, gently at first, like a question, a hesitant step forward into the unknown.
it was a soft kiss, but it felt like everything. each tender graze of his lips against yours, a shiver of warmth spreading through your chest. feeling him so close to you. for a split second, everything else was lost. the heights, the festival, the malfunctioning ride. they all vanished. it was just you and him, a fleeting moment that felt like time had stopped. you were there with him, fully present, feeling a pulsing connection that surpassed any words.
then, just as quickly as it began, it ended. the kiss was gone, but the feeling remained, like a warm glow spreading through you. the suddenness of it all left you breathless, your chest still tingling, your heart still racing.
and then, like a mirror to the fluttering beat of your heart, the first firework burst in the sky behind you. the colors exploded in a brilliant rain of lights, reds, golds, blues, illuminating the dark sky. they filled the air with so much beauty, but it didn’t compare to the feeling that still lingered in the air between you and niki.
you pulled back a little, eyes meeting his. both of you were silent for a moment as the fireworks continued to light up the night. the air between you felt electric, the shortest kiss leaving you both with something you couldn’t shake, wanting more.
neither of you spoke, not yet. words weren’t needed. you could feel the energy between you, quiet but intense, like the fireworks themselves, a series of bright moments strung together in the vastness of the night.
niki’s fingers tightened around yours again, just a little, a silent reassurance that he was still there, that he was present. and in that moment, you felt the warmth of his hand grounding you, reminding you that this moment, this feeling, it was real. "look," he whispered, his voice softer than before, as another explosion of lights filled the sky. "we're in the middle of this."
you glanced at him again, his face illuminated by the fading lights, a soft smile playing on his lips as he looked out at the horizon. and in that moment, it felt like the world, and the whole sky was yours.

hi mimi im not sure if u rmbr but im the anon who talked abt working at a clothing store, i was also the one who asked if my fulltime soobin messge was sent in, but it’s ok i’ll send it again!
tbh interning at my store is driving me insane i hate it lol, so my coping mechanism has been imagining soobin being a fulltimer here so it’s more bearable :p and i absolutely despise closing shifts LOL but to make up for it id imagine him bending me over the counter (it’s a desk where customers return clothes they dont plan to buy) after closing up the store and using me as he pleases 😔 and i really like ur headcanons so i was hoping if u could make it more detailed for me hehe im fine with most kinks but degrading, slapping, choking, pernames and marking are my faves rn
sorry it’s so long 😭
yes, thank you for sending it!! :D
i LOVE this idea!! your imagination is so relatable TT
just imagine having bin as fulltimer at your store, just waiting to close up the shop. why you ask? because you were being a big fucking tease; the unnecessarily short skirt your were wearing, the way your pretty tits were spilling out of your top. and he can’t forget all the subtle touches whenever you’d pass by him, or the way you’d accidentally press up your ass against his hard on whenever he was behind you.
so as soon he he closed up the store, you’re quite literally dragged and bent over the familiar counter, skirt hiked up revealing your soaked panties. “stupid slut, thought you could get away with all that did you?” he says, voice dripping with venom as he pulls his zipper down, huge cock sprung out. you instantly moan when he rubs his cock against your wet cloth covered folds, slipping it to the side to slip inside ur slick cunt. “ah–! s-so big!” you groan shamelessly, hips circling. soobin’s hand comes down to slap your ass red at that, earning a wince from you. he starts moving his hips against the flesh of your ass, cunt repeatedly taking him hole, fast and rough. “just like that, f..fuck take it! take it! fucking bitch” he rasps, bending down to kiss and nip at your neck, leaving marks.
his words have your legs shaking, wetness dripping down as his tip batters at your cervix again and again. “fuck yeah! right there! o-oh..gonna cum!” you cry out, mouth open and drooling over the counter. soobin pulls your hips closer, cock so deep inside you think you might faint. “that’s right, fucking cum and make a mess, you’re just a stupid fucking whore, all you ever know is dick” he says before you coat his dick in white and he fills u up <33

My Angel
Sam and Dean & teen!reader, Castiel & teen!reader
Requested by Anonymous
Synopsis: you’re a daughter figure to team free will, and you have time/location travel powers. One time you accidentally time travel back too far, and you have to face TFW before they met you.
Warnings: panic attack, then pretty much fluff
“Hey Sam?” You knocked on Sam’s door softly—no answer. You slowly pressed the door open, peaking in and seeing Sam fast asleep on his bed. You took a step back, pulling the door closed as silently as possible; you’d wanted his help to study for your test, but he hadn’t been sleeping much lately while he dealt with all the hunters now living in the bunker, so you wanted to let him sleep.
Next stop was Dean—but he was out on a hunt with Mary. Finally, you wandered around looking for Cas. You found him in the library poring over lore.
“Cas?” You approached him hesitantly, a notebook hugged to your chest. “Do you think you could—“
“Not now, Y/N,” Cas huffed, rubbing a hand over his face. “I need to finish this.”
“Oh.” You bit your lip. “Do you think maybe later you could—“
“Not now!” He snapped. “I’m a little busy trying to keep your brother from dying!”
You snapped your mouth shut, turning on your heel and leaving without another word.
“No, wait…” Cas’s regret came a split second too late. “I’m sorry!”
…
You clicked the lock shut on your room door, tossing your notebook on your desk before dropping down on your bed.
“Calm down calm down calm down,” you whispered to yourself over and over, rubbing your face and a few stray tears. The pile of homework on your desk already had you panicked, and you hadn’t been prepared for Cas to yell at you like that. Not only that, but on top of the homework you had a huge test, and you knew you weren’t ready.
Your handle on your emotions had been slipping lately due to all the stress, and with that came a lack of control on your powers. That had led to a lot more “incidents” lately—usually you’d just get transported to a few minutes in the past, or a mile or two away, but you were always scared that if your emotions got big enough, there would be bigger jumps.
“Stop it,” you willed your pounding heart to no avail. Your breath was coming in quicker and quicker gasps, and it was all you could do to sit up and try to keep the room from spinning. “It’s ok, you’re fine you’re fine you’re fine…”
You closed your eyes tightly as the panic took over and your head started to pound—a sure sign that you were traveling.
“No no no,” you whimpered. “Not now, just stop, just stop!”
The pain grew and your breath still hadn’t returned. You opened your eyes, but everything was still spinning, and black spots were flying around the edges of your vision. You tried to stand, but something sharp smacked against your head. The darkness spread, faster and faster and—
And nothing.
…
“What the heck?”
A man’s voice was the first thing you heard as you tried to force your eyes open through the pain that pounded behind them.
“Sam! Dean! Get in here!”
You groaned, blinking your blurry vision away. Dark wood lined the floor, and as you forced yourself to sit up, a room came into focus—an old couch slumped in the corner, an oak desk sat right next to you. An old man was crouched in front of you, a gun in his hand—
“Bobby?” You breathed. You’d seen the man in pictures before, but you’d never met him.
The gun twitched.
“How do you know who I am?” Bobby demanded.
“What’s going on?” Dean’s voice caught your attention—he rushed through the doorway, followed by Sam, and both froze at the sight of you. “Who the heck is that?”
The boys were younger than you’d ever seen them, by a few years at least, and you knew from what they’d told you about Bobby’s death that you must have gone back at least six or seven years—long before you’d met the boys.
“That’s what I’d like to know,” Bobby insisted, cocking the gun in his hand. “And I’d better find out in the next five seconds.”
“Ok ok wait!” You insisted, holding up your hands. Your head was pounding—you’d probably hit it on the desk when you traveled, and you could swear that you felt blood running down the side of your face. “I’m…I’m from the future.”
Three blank stares.
“Right,” Bobby scoffed. “And I’m Bill Clinton.”
“It’s true!” You insisted. “I-I have powers, but I jumped back too far.”
“Do you expect us to believe—“
“It’s true.” Dean’s protest was cut off with a flutter of wings and the deep voice of Castiel. “She’s telling the truth, she’s from the future. I can sense it.”
“So what, she can just jump around time and—“
“No,” Castiel insisted. “No, no one should have that power.” His eyes flashed blue. “I need to take care of this problem.” He took one step forwards, but Dean jumped over to block him.
“Whoa whoa, hey, easy,” Dean insisted. “She’s just a kid, what are you gonna do?”
“She shouldn’t exist,” Castiel argued. “She’s dangerous.”
“Cas?” You whimpered, backing away from him.
“How do you know me?” Cas demanded, stiffening.
“We…you…” you swallowed. “We met…or, I guess, we will meet…in a few years. You try to help me control my powers. All three of you do.”
“Three?” Bobby asked, but you kept your mouth shut.
“That doesn’t make sense,” Castiel continued. “I would’ve killed you—I should’ve—you’re dangerous.”
“And-and you’re a lot different here than you are in the future.” Your lip quivered as you spoke, still keeping as much distance from Cas as you could. He wasn’t the gentle, caring Cas that you knew—he truly looked like the dangerous angel you knew he could be.
“What are we gonna do with her?” Sam spoke up. “Shouldn’t she go back to her own time?”
“I still don’t think she should be in any time,” Cas argued, his hand twitching—probably for his angel blade.
“Please.” A tear dripped onto your hand, and you wrapped your arms around yourself—despite the familiar faces, you felt surrounded by strangers. “Please, I-I just want to go home. I didn’t mean to come here, I didn’t mean to—“ you noticed Castiel’s hand relaxing slightly, and you took a deep breath. “Cas, you…in the future, you’re like a father to me. And I just want to get back to my Cas, I just…please help me get home.”
Cas took another step forward, and Dean didn’t stop him. You flinched when Cas lifted his hand, but he just placed it gently on your shoulder.
“I…I think maybe I can get you home,” Cas said slowly. “But you need to be more careful. If you jump like this again, you could disrupt the flow of time.”
You nodded. “I understand.”
“Ok.” Cas’s eyes softened. “Then let’s get you home.” He pressed two fingers to your forehead. There was a faint pulse of blue before your world went dark.
…
“Y/N? Y/N!”
You jerked upright to the sound of a harsh knock at your door. You blinked hard, rubbing your eyes, then your face—the cut on your head was healed.
You got to unsteady feet before unlocking your door and swinging it open to see Cas, looking frazzled and worried.
“Cas!” Cas staggered back in surprise when you through yourself into his arms.
“Are you ok?” He demanded, holding you close.
“I missed this you.” Your voice came out muffled against Cas’s trench coat.
“I…you what?” Cas asked.
“Never mind.” You sniffled, pulling away. “I’m just glad to see you.”
“N/N, I’m sorry,” Cas insisted. “I-I didn’t mean to yell at you earlier, I just…I guess I was feeling stressed.”
“It’s ok,” you insisted.
“No it wasn’t,” Cas argued. “I’m here for you, for whatever you need.”
“I think maybe school needs to take a back burner,” you said slowly. “Can you help me…with my powers?”
“I did say whatever.” Cas smiled. “So let’s get started.”

Teaser for Once Upon a Time - Choso x Reader (as Rapunzel):
Just a little teaser for the first chapter! I expect to have the full chapter up in a few days!
**********
You bend down to pick some of the herbs you just found, carefully placing them in your basket. These will be perfect for several different medicines you make for the other villagers. You can’t believe what a treasure trove you’ve found. How have you never seen this place before?
The basket is feeling heavy on your arm by the time you finish, but you’re so happy with what you’ve gathered that you don’t mind the extra weight. You pick one last handful and turn to head back through the woods and to the village.
That’s when you see him. A pale man dressed in black, dark hair pulled into strange ponytails on each side of his head. He’s standing directly in your path.
“Why are you in my garden?” he asks. His tone is curious, not accusatory.
You freeze in place. This is a garden? And it belongs to him? You dip your head in a slight bow. “I’m very sorry, sir. I didn’t realize this was your garden. I picked a lot of your herbs,” you say, holding out your basket. “Would you like to keep them?”
He stares into your basket, then at your face. “What do you want herbs for?”
“I make medicines,” you tell him. “Tonics, ointments, all sorts of things.”
He’s silent for a moment, then asks, “Could you make some for me?”
“Of course,” you say, happy that he’s apparently going to let your accidental theft slide. “What kinds do you need?”
“Something for scrapes and cuts. I have three little brothers and they’re always getting hurt while playing in the woods.”
You smile. “Alright. I’ll make some and bring them back to you, as a thank you for the herbs.” You glance around the forest. “Where is your house?”
He hesitates for a few seconds, as if reluctant to reveal where he lives. You’re just about to offer to meet him here in a few days when he turns and begins walking through the woods. “Follow me. I’ll show you.”
You tag along behind him, waiting for a house to come into view. You really didn’t know anyone lived out here. But instead of a house, he leads you to a clearing with an enormous tower standing in the middle of it.
“You live here?” you ask, using your hand to block the sun as you squint upwards, trying to see how high it goes.
It’s made of stone, gray in color except for a deep red door and matching red shudders all the way up at the top. A window? But why so high? The grass around the tower is thick and unkempt, wild rose bushes climbing the sides, going at least thirty feet up. Red and white roses are blooming beautifully, making the tower look like something from a dream.
When you step closer, you notice there are black roses blooming here and there. What an unusual color!
The man opens the red door, made of heavy wood, and motions for you to come inside.
You follow in behind him, finding a living area with chairs, a fireplace, a rug, and a desk. Off to the side is a cozy little kitchen with a stove and a small table with four chairs crowded around it.
“Do you live here by yourself?” you ask, looking around.
He looks at you with a slightly confused expression. “No, I have three little brothers, remember?”
“Oh, that’s right! I’m sorry, I forgot.”
But the tower doesn’t look like three kids live in it. Things are too neat and orderly, and there’s only one place setting on the table. Maybe they’re just very well behaved.
He notices you glancing around and says, “They’re out gathering wood for the fire right now. They’ll be home soon.”
You nod, then look straight up. “What’s up there?”
He follows your line of sight, tilting his head up. “A couple of bedrooms shared between us,” he answers. “This used to be a watch tower during the war. My brothers and I found it abandoned a few years ago and moved in.”
“That was fortunate,” you say. “I bet they love playing in this tower.”
He smiles, the expression lighting up the room. He has a really nice smile. “Yes, they love it here.”
You smile back, then start toward the door. “I’ll make some medicines for you and come back in three days. Is that alright?”
“Yes, that would be wonderful. Thank you.”
As you step outside, you turn back to wave goodbye to him. He waves back, and you leave. Walking back through the woods, you half expect to run into his little brothers, laughing and playing. But you never see another soul until you reach the village.

2024
Blocking time off from work, you noticed that your cell phone started ringing out of nowhere.
Officer Jessica Sims from the Shelby Springs Police Department called.
“Jess?” Picking up this afternoon, you definitely responded.
“Girl! I'm so sorry for not reaching out, but guess what?” J's Southern accent revealed itself.
“Don't worry.” You're fully aware that the rural precinct struggled now. “What happened?”
“Think I found your husband.” Despite that police station keeping vintage technology, you noticed Jessica's humor loud and clear.
“Oh, God!” You nearly laughed out loud. “What are you talking about?”
“I helped out this man earlier and…” Jessica wouldn't go on.
“Spit it out, J!” You kept listening to her no matter what.
“I'm working, but we don't have reception outdoors.” Jessica cleared her throat for a moment. “He's fine.”
“Don't play matchmaker again.” You quickly rolled both eyes.
“Listen: Light eyes, in shape with service tattoos, and acts respectful.” Jessica detailed this man.
“Sounds too good to be true.” For once, you don't believe her.
“Visit tomorrow. He's still in town. Bye!” Jessica dropped the call before you could say anything else.
Here we go. You thought.
*****
Uniformed once more, Jessica traded this brief smile when you entered the department.
“I'm here. What's going on?” You spoke quietly en route to her desk.
“I'll explain everything.” Sims then faced your direction.
Just before you could sit down and learn gossip, the door opened again.
Leaving her desk behind, Jessica held your wrist and you both hid near one corner, watching whoever arrived.
“What's wrong?” Your voice immediately whispered to Jess.
“That's him!” As Jessica pointed upfront, her accent pulled all over again.
Uh-oh. This time around, you finally realized what Sims meant.
Remarkable eyes noticed the building and service tattoos inked along his muscular frame.
This morning, the handsome individual paired another tight shirt with jeans and sneakers.
“Go back to work. We'll talk soon.” You prompted Jessica to speak with this man.
“All right. Pardon me…” Jessica excused herself from your side and sat down, addressing the man.
******
“Who was that?” When Officer Jessica Sims found her longtime desk this morning, veteran Terry Richmond chuckled through his deep tone.
“My friend…” Jessica would pull this vague response.
“I could use some good news at this point.” Terry encouraged Jessica. “What were y'all talking about?”
“Nothing.” Jess shrugged while beginning to work as usual. “How are you holding up with the case?”
“No better than before.” Richmond lost bail money for his cousin during an altercation with law enforcement. “Know any lawyers if I can't reach out on Monday?”
“Attorneys pool from the local courthouse, but workloads get swamped over there.” Jessica declined.
“Fair enough, but you didn't answer my other question.” Terry arched his brow.
“Which question?” Jessica asked.
“What were y'all talking about?” Catching Sims red-handed, Terry's smile offered brightness.
“Should I tell the truth?” Jessica spoke up for many reasons.
“I don't appreciate falsehoods.” Terry crossed both arms.
“You.” Jessica stopped playing around and headed out for lunch. “Good luck with your case.”
Right when Officer Sims walked away, Terry glanced down and noticed a sticky note waiting on her desk.
Jessica had discreetly written your phone number on paper.
******
“Sorry.” Terry apologized when you first met him up close. Drama flew all over the police station now.
“Everyone hopes for better circumstances around here.” You picked up Richmond and started driving away from this hospital.
On the other hand, medics helped legal assistant Summer McBride for various reasons.
“Sims told me about you.” Terry changed the subject.
“Surprised you didn't call me first.” You know that Jessica slipped your phone number by this man.
“Chief got in the way.” Richmond almost laughed and chided Sandy Burne.
“Where should we go since you're free?” You learned that Terry confirmed this settlement for this case, especially with his cousin Mike gone.
“Anywhere you want.” Terry grinned toward you and watched the city limits disappear.

quick valgrace drabble bc jason deserves to be a dramatic bf (as a treat!)
“Leo,” a familiar voice whined from behind Leo.
Leo fought off a smile as he turned his head from his blueprints on his desk to look over at his boyfriend.
Leo often compared his boyfriend – Jason Grace – to a dog. He thought this was a very accurate comparison. However, there wasn’t just one dog breed that could fully capture what Jason was like. Like an onion, Jason had layers.
There were moments when Jason was like a wolf. This made a lot of sense since he was raised by Lupa when he was young. This was a side of him that most people saw.
There were moments when Jason was like a golden retriever. Only Leo and his closest friends got to see this side of him. Leo knew how much of an affectionate dork his boyfriend was, but he was surprised by how much he truly was like a golden retriever once they started dating. He would cling to Leo, follow him around, and would beam whenever he saw Leo enter a room.
Then, there were moments like this that only Leo saw. There were moments when Jason let himself be a silly teenage boy. There were moments when Jason displayed dramaticness that could rival that of a husky.
“What’s up, bro?” Leo asked. He observed Jason’s face with a smile, knowing precisely how he’d react to his boyfriend calling him ‘bro’ as a pet name.
Jason reacted exactly as he always did. He let out a small huff as his nose scrunched up. Leo suppressed a laugh at it. Jason decided to set that aside and let out a long, dramatic sigh. He truly matched the energy that dogs had when they sighed as if they just worked a 9-5.
“Leo, come to bed,” Jason whined, reaching out an arm toward Leo.
Leo shifted so he was sitting sideways in his chair and rested his arms over the back of it. Leo rarely got to see dramatic Jason Grace so he’d take his time to relish in it and tease him. “Can’t it wait? I’m very busy right now.”
Jason scowled, a pout threatening to form on his very kissable lips. “I’m your boyfriend. I’m the most important thing in your life, so I should come first.”
Leo couldn’t help the laugh that bubbled out of his throat at that. He knew that Jason tended to doubt himself and his importance to his friends and lover, so he was glad he could bring it up in moments like these, even if it was to be dramatic and clingy.
“Well, you’re right about that,” Leo said with a teasing lilt in voice. “But you’re always telling me I need to focus on my work more. Now you’re trying to get me to stop because of what you want? You’re a horrible influence, Grace.”
“That doesn’t apply now,” Jason replied with a small huff. “You’ve been working for so long,” it’s been ten minutes, “and I want to cuddle with my boyfriend. You can stop working for a cuddle break. Besides, this is more important and urgent. If you don’t cuddle with me, I will shrivel up and die. Do you want me to die, Valdez?”
“You’ll die?” Leo asked with a laugh. He reached over to his desk to set his pencil down. “I don’t think that’s scientifically possible.”
“It is,” Jason replied huffily. “It’s been medically proven that if you don’t cuddle with your boyfriend when he’s in desperate need of cuddles, then he will die. You can ask Will, he will say I’m right. You have to give me my medically required cuddles before I die.”
It was crazy how a seventeen-year-old boy who was over six feet tall, muscular, and once beat a titan with his bare hands could look so cute. When he saw Jason like this, he felt a thrill of pride and possessiveness that only he got to see him like this. He was the only one who experienced his playful, dramatic side and got to witness the slight pout on his lips or the way he whined for attention.
With a small chuckle, Leo finally stood up and walked over to the bed. “Of course, 'cause Will would never lie about that. Well, I guess I’ll cuddle with you to heal you. It’d be so inconvenient to have to get a new boyfriend. I’m far too lazy for that.”
Jason seemed too happy at the prospect of cuddles to be annoyed by Leo’s comment. He held up the blanket enough for Leo to climb over the covers with him. Leo did just that. Once he was close, Jason wrapped his arms around him and pulled him close.
“I love you,” Jason told him, nothing but pure affection and adoration in his voice.
”I know,” Leo replied, laughing and amusement in his voice.
Jason pouted. Leo couldn’t have that so he leaned in, kissing him. They had a lot of kisses over their relationship, but these were Leo’s favorites. It was sweet, slow, and full of all the love they had for each other. Leo made sure he showed through the kiss just how much he loved Jason, how much he meant to him.
When he pulled away, he cupped Jason’s cheeks, looking into those beautiful blue eyes. “I love you too.” Even if he showed Jason how much he loved him, he liked to be an overachiever at times. He wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to both show and tell Jason that he loved him.
Leo was terrible at remembering things. Thanks to his ADHD, he had both a terrible attention span and an awful memory. He could meet someone new and forget their name within five minutes. He could remember something insignificant like what types were strong against others in Pokemon but forget the date of an upcoming important exam. Leo’s memory was shit.
However, he knew he’d remember the smile that Jason gave him for the rest of his life.
#pjo#valgrace#leo valdez#jason grace#should i start a fic on ao3 with all my lil valgrace drabbles?#dramatic clingy bf jason supremacy#smitten and in love fools#vg can be happy and domestic as a treat!

LOST IN TRANSLATION
- sim jaeyun / jake one-shot
GENRE: Romance, Enemies to Lovers, Deaf Jake, College Life.
PERM TAG LIST: @run2seob
Jake is a 21 year-old deaf, junior university student, who has trauma from bullying over the fact he can't hear. Y/N is a 20 year-old, freshman university student, who just wants to make friends. She approaches Jake without knowing he's deaf, and he begins to dislike her when she couldn't understand why he was pointing to his ears. Y/N learned through Heeseung that Jake was deaf. Why not learn sign language? Will she be able to befriend Jake or will he dislike her until he graduates?
The alarm in her room, blaring, filling the room with its ever so annoying noises. Y/N's hand slams on the nightstand, searching for the alarm clock desperately, trying to turn it off.
“Just turn off already!” she exclaimed, sitting up and turning it off. A sigh of relief escapes her lips, “Finally…” her voice trails.
“Fuck! I'm late!” She hurries to change her clothes and get to her university, Decelis Academy.
While she was almost always late, she had good grades. Her GPA is what got her accepted. So, learning things felt like a breeze to Y/N.
Arriving to her class, she immediately got scolded by the professor. “Late again, Ms. Seo” Professor Jay remarked, annoyed at the tardiness. But, just glad she made it.
While, Professor Jay seems harsh. He actually is laid back and kind. Always making sure everyone is done with their work, and able to turn it in. The students appreciated it, this allowed them to understand the material better.
“Sorry, Professor Jay…” her voice trailed, “I was up late studying.”
A sigh left the professor's lips, “Sit down, at least you're late with a decent reason.”
A slight smile met her lips, “Thank you, Professor Jay!” she spoke excitedly, walking to her desk chair and taking a seat.
Being a Freshman gave Y/N some advantages, she was able to get off with being tardy, blaming it on ‘studying’ when she already knew the material.
Though, she had some challenges with making friends. They always walk away from her, saying that she was “Too weird.”
It irked Y/N, but she let it go.
After her class ended, she noticed a taller boy in the hallway. Realizing this was a chance to make a friend, she skipped over excitedly and spoke, “Excuse me? Would you like to be friends?”
Silence.
“Ah, ignored again…” she sighed as the boy turned around and jolted in surprise. His jolt made her jump as well, but she was still confused. Why didn't he answer her?
She said the same lines she just spoke, and he tilted his head. Bringing out his phone and typing, before showing her, “I'm deaf.”
Her mouth formed an ‘O’ shape, finally understanding the situation. She still wasn't sure how to communicate with him, and he got annoyed. Huffing and walking away.
Y/N reached her hand out as she frowned. Another chance down the drain.
The night of, she looked up videos to learn sign language. She realized that, to communicate better, she could learn sign language.
Y/N stayed up all night learning sign language. Practicing signs to perfect her understanding.
The next day, she walked up proudly to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and was visibly annoyed by her presence. “My name is Y/N, what is yours?” she smiled as she signed to him. His eyes widening in shock, no one having done this for him before.
“Jake.” was all he signed before quickly walking away.
“Jake, huh…” Y/N murmured, turning on her heel and making her way to Heeseung.
“Hey!” her hands clasped his shoulders roughly, making him jolt. “What the hell!” he exclaimed, “I'm doing an assignment, what's up?”
“Do you know who Jake is?”
“Jake? Yeah, he's the deaf student. Keeps to himself.” Heeseung quickly replied.
“Making more friends is hard, Seungie…” she whispered, visibly upset.
“What happened? Wait- Did you try to talk to Jake?”
“Yeah! But I learned sign language after that to fix things, I think that made him hate me more…”
A fit of laughter began as Heeseung couldn't hold it in anymore.
“Hey! It's not funny, asshole!” she hit his back lightly, making sure not to hurt him.
“It kinda is.” Heeseung spoke plainly.
“No!”
“Yeah!” He laughed heartily.
“I'll get Sunoo to talk to him, he knows sign language.”
“You will? Thank you!” she hugged her closest, and only, friend.
“Yeah, yeah. Now let me do my assignment, in peace.”
Y/N nodded and left the room.
Heeseung was able to get Sunoo to convince Jake to talk to Y/N. It was a long process, but they were able to do it.
Jake and Y/N meet up at the park, signing to each other, Y/N made sure to get every sign correct.
Jake noticed her concentration on making sure she was signing correctly. A chuckle left his lips, watching her eyebrows furrowed in concentration.
“What's so funny?” she signed to him.
“Your eyebrows furrow when you concentrate,” he signed back, “It's kinda funny.”
Y/N pouted, “No fair! I'm trying not to mess up and make you hate me…” she signed and frowned at the end.
Jake's eyes widened, he didn't particularly hate her, he was more weary of her.
“I got bullied for being deaf when I was younger,” he signed, explaining his childhood thoroughly.
At the end, Y/N understood why he was weary. But, he finally knew she wasn't like that.
Christmas came around in a flash, people around campus going home to visit family. Yet, some decided to stay in their dorms. Keeping time to themselves.
Jake texted Y/N that he was going to visit family and came to her dorm room to give her a hug. “Until we meet again!” he signed, making it dramatic as possible. Y/N laughed, “Yeah, yeah, get going drama king!” she signed back, before putting her hands on his back to push him.
He pulled out his phone and texted her, “See you later!”
She looked up from her phone and smiled. Mouthing slowly, “Bye.”
Holidays ended, and Y/N was waiting at the train station for Jake to arrive. She wanted to surprise him when he came back.
As the train came to a stop, the door slowly opened and people from inside came flooding out. Y/N was focused on finding Jake, her eyes searching through the crowd until their eyes met.
Her face lit up as a smile came to her lips. She noticed Jake mouthing, “Can I hug you?”
She gave him a nod as confirmation, and he walked over to her, pushing through the crowd and placing a gentle kiss on her lips.
Y/N's eyes widened as Jake pulled away, “Kiss?” she signed, “I thought it was a hug?”
Jake covered his mouth to laugh, before signing, “I mouthed, ‘’Can I kiss you?”
Y/N shrugged, “Either works!” she signed with a smile. Before giving him a tight hug, pulling away and signing, “Welcome back.”
While flowers take time to blossom fully, so does love. It takes time to learn a language, it takes time for feelings to grow. Love takes time.

☕️🧊 with Jay and reader. She has a child from someone else who goes missing. Thank you sm!!!!
A/N: Thank you so much for ordering! This got a little bit long for a Drabble but I hope you enjoy!!
☕️🧊☕️🧊☕️
"Y/N, we gotta go." Jay stuck his head out the gate, motioning for you to get inside where everyone was getting ready for the drug bust.
Before you could reply, Jay's eyes caught the little body sitting on your hip, your arms supporting her when she squeezed you harder, not wanting you to go.
"Tell Voight two minutes." You said, nearly pleading to your partner. This bust was very important but what use were you if you couldn't even be there.
"I'll be back soon okay? Five minutes." You lied to your four-year-old. Realistically, you'd be an hour but she didn't fully understand the concept of time.
Looking around the front desk, you found no one you were familiar with. Trudy had disappeared into thin air and the other officers you felt like you couldn't leave Emma with, neither would she want to stay with them.
"Roman!" You called for the officer who you suddenly found. His body stiffened, automatically concluding he was in trouble but when he found you, he relaxed.
"We're going to do a drug bust." You mouthed the last two words. "You mind keeping an eye on Emma?"
Roman didn't turn you down because not only would he get in trouble for doing so, but he really didn't mind looking after her. "Sure, that's fine."
"Be good for Roman, okay?" You kissed her head, detaching her arms and legs from around you. "Come on baby, mommy has to go to work."
Your daughter shook her head in your neck, snuggling herself closer so that not even oxygen was separating you two causing you to sigh in defeat.
"Y/N." Jay appeared again, all geared up in his vest hiding his gun from the view of the front desk. "We have to go."
"Mommy loves you." You kissed her again, forcing her off you and into Sean's arms where she started to cry for you but no matter how much guilt you felt for leaving, you had to.
Sighing in defeat, you rushed up the stairs, mumbling apologies while you quickly got yourself ready. You thanked Jay for the loaded gun he gave you, double checking you were good before slamming the passenger door shut.
"She's been so clingy lately." You commented, pulling your hair into a ponytail. "I have no idea why."
"Maybe it’s like a teenage mood swing type of thing." Jay proposed, shrugging his shoulders, glancing over at you before looking back at the road. “Will mentioned Owen getting weird like that at her age.”
You hummed, not totally convinced with the idea.
☕️🧊☕️🧊☕️
Everyone was laughing, high fiving each other, celebrating the successful drug bust that was filled with adrenaline that was still pumping through your veins when you got back to the precinct.
Walking back into the bullpen, letting your hair out, you were ready to relax but was immediately reminded that you brought Emma with you and she was waiting for you downstairs.
Just as you got up from your chair to go downstairs, the gate was shut and Sean took his time in coming up the stairs, looking everywhere but at you.
"Roman." You called for the officer who was by himself. "Where's Emma?"
Your question caught everyone's attention, all of them stopping what they were doing to look at the two of you, wary of the distance you tried to keep.
“Roman, where’s my baby?” Your voice broke as you mentioned your little girl who was nowhere to be seen.
“Roman.” You stressed, striding towards him, such power in your stride that Kevin and Antonio had to step between you two in fear of what you were going to do. “Where. Is. My. Daughter?!”
“Detective.” His voice shook and that’s when it all properly sank in. “Please let me explain.”
You were seeing red. The light of your life, the only one who matter more than life itself, was gone.
“Roman you have five seconds to get out her sight.” Jay interjected, his hand curling around your bicep, to offer stability or hold you back you weren’t sure.
The world as you knew it, was collapsing around you.
Your baby was gone and not even Jay couldn’t put a stop to your pain.

The Stupid Closet (24)*
Happy Sunday release day everyone! Reminder: chapters marked with * will contain NSFW content!
Enjoy! :)
-----------
“Hey baby” you feel mattheo touch your shoulders behind you.
You put your pencil down and look behind you. You were sitting at a desk in the common room, working on some homework.
“Hi babe” you peck him on the lips.
“Wanna take a break? I have something I wanna show you…” he says, signaling you to get up.
You look back at your paper, you weren’t getting anywhere at the moment, “sure” you smile.
“Go put a jacket on” he pushes you lightly up the stairs to your dorm, waiting.
When you come back down, you put your jacket on, “where’re we going?” You ask.
“You'll see” he leads you outside to the bell tower, when you see what it is.
“It’s snowing!” You say excitedly. The first snowfall of the year. You turn around to face Mattheo to see him smiling so wide while making a snowball about 20 feet behind you.
Before he can throw it, you’re making one in retaliation. You make yours quickly, throwing it at the same time he throws his, you both miss each other.
His mouth opens wide in disbelief as if he couldn’t process that you threw one back at him. You make another snowball while he’s distracted and throw it quickly, hitting his chest.
“Oh you’re so dead” he says before you take off running, screaming playfully. It was freezing out and snowflakes were falling faster by the minute but with you two, it didn’t even matter.
You reach the open grounds, nowhere to go, as you look around for somewhere to hide, Mattheo runs up behind you and hugs you from behind, stumbling you both to the ground together.
You both can’t seem to catch your breaths, laughing hysterically. You close your eyes, laughing harder than you have in a long time until you feel Mattheo tuck some hair behind your ear.
You open your eyes to see him smiling, watching you with those big doe eyes you love so much.
“What?” You ask.
“Nothing.” He states simply.
“No seriously! Tell me!” You were both still lying on the ground and you didn’t even notice.
“I want to stay out here with you forever” he admits, still smiling as wide as ever.
You smile back, “it’s nice to see you smile so much these days”
Mattheo instantly gets sheepish, nuzzling his head into you like he’s hiding.
You giggle, playing with his curls, “I mean it”
He looks up and kisses you slowly as he wraps his arms around you and flips so you’re on top of him.
The kiss is slow and sensual and starts heating up quickly before you back away, “alright my cheeky man, let’s not get expelled for public nudity, yeah?”
“If you insist” he smirks, rolling his eyes, as you climb off of him and stand up with him following suit.
You stand there for a second, admiring the snow falling all around you.
“I love the snow” Mattheo says as he wraps his arms around your waist, placing your hands lightly on his chest.
“Oh yeah?” You ask looking up to him.
“Whenever it snowed, I would go outside to get away from my parents…it was like my own escape” he quietly admits. You know he doesn’t like to talk about his family or his childhood so it meant a lot that he told you.
“I get that.” You smile softly, “I promise I’ll always play in the snow with you”
Mattheo holds your chin, rubbing his thumb on it while trying to hide his smile, “I’m gonna go have a smoke, wanna join?”
“I was doing homework, remember? I should get back to it…”
Mattheo’s nods slowly, “alright fine, see you before dinner?”
“Sure” you peck him on the lips before walking your separate ways.
You get back to the desk you were at previously, not ready to sink back into your homework when Theo walks up.
“Hey” he says quietly.
He stands beside you, “hi Theo, what’s up?”
“Can we talk?” He asks.
“Sure” you move your book over as he sits down on the edge of the desk.
“We haven’t really gotten to talk since…everything happened and I just really need to get this off my chest”
“Okay sure, what is it?” You had no idea what it could be but you wanted to be there to listen. You missed your Theo. The old Theo you had known.
“I miss you.” He starts over, “I mean I miss you in my life. Girlfriend or not, I just miss talking to you. We were good friends before last year.”
“We were good friends.” You contemplate, “Theo, I’m sorry I let it go too far.”
“It’s ok. I should’ve stopped it too.” Theo admits.
“I still know that it’s my fault. You were great, you deserved so much better than me” you mention, shrugging.
“I can’t do better than you, nobody can. Can I be honest?”
“Sure” you state, your curiosity peaking.
“I slept with this girl a couple days ago and…it was terrible. It was my first time since you and I just- god it made me miss you”
You look at him for a second before replying, “Theo, you were great, you know that right?”
Theo doesn’t respond but instead just waits for you to continue, “I hope you know that it was never the sex. The sex was great, you were great…Mattheo just happened”
“Right person, wrong time maybe?” Theo asks.
“Something like that yeah” you laugh lightly. You were so glad that Theo and you could talk about this stuff normally now.
“Right well…a lost cause now I guess” Theo scratches the back of his head before standing up.
“Hey uhm-“ you grab his arm before he can walk away, “wanna study together sometime?”
He smiles before nodding, “sure” you reciprocate the smile before he pecks you on the cheek and walks away.
There was never any doubt that Theo was charming, he had such a way with you and that had not changed with Mattheo in your life obviously. The man was Italian so it made sense but you kept thinking about how that conversation felt like it used to…before this year.
Right as you finish your assignment, Mattheo comes to take you to dinner in the great hall. Everyone was there, gossiping about the other houses and their classes…typical behavior for the group.
Afterwards, you and Mattheo head back to your dorm since Pansy was heading to Draco’s…not that anything was going to happen with them.
After you get in and lock the door behind you, Mattheo places his hands on your hips, raising them slowly up to your breasts as the kiss deepens, slow and sensual.
“I love you” Mattheo breathes out as he pulls your shirt over your head and unclasps your bra with one hand before it drops to the floor.
“I love you too” you whisper back as he takes your breast in his mouth. You let out a moan as he plays with your nipples for a minute before he backs away and unbuckles his pants quickly, dropping them with ease.
You do the same, dropping both your pants and underwear without a second thought. Once the clothes are off, you hop up onto him, wrapping your legs around his waist.
He lines himself up with your entrance before pumping in and out, your back up against the wall.
“Holy shit Mattheo” your mouth stays agape, your head thrown back.
His hands are gripped on your thighs, holding you up. You reach around for anything to grab, the only thing being a couple bags hung on a hook. In the process of reaching around, the bags drop but neither of you care.
He starts picking up his pace as you claw your nails into his neck and shoulder blades.
“always so tight for me” he breathes out, sweat dripping down his forehead.
“I’m almost there “ you mutter out, opening your eyes to watch him
Only a few pumps in and out later, you reach your high, breathing heavily as Mattheo finishes right after you.
After he’s done, he lets you jump back down to the floor.
“Still as good as ever” he says, slapping your ass as you walk in the bathroom.
You stick your tongue out at him before shutting the door to get cleaned up. He was right…in fact? It was just getting better and better.

PriceGaz Pining Series
Part 5/14
Prev | Next
Prompt: Autumn //
The leaves have changed colour. It's like the park's trees are aflame with autumn. The air is chilly as he walks to the hospital, not quite cold enough to evaporate into mist as he breathes, but enough to pinch his cheeks and the tips of his fingers.
Gaz has been in the hospital for a couple days now. Price hasn't had the time to visit him until now, sorting out the aftermath of the mission. Everything that could possibly gone wrong went wrong, and Gaz got a bullet to his guts for his trouble. It took a lot of digging to find out who exactly fucked up and where, and how to fix what they had messed up. He and Soap are about to head out again in a couple days to tie up the loose ends, Ghost still busy with his own solo mission.
Price feels... guilty. For not visiting sooner, for leaving again so soon. For letting Gaz get hurt in the first place. That this happened on his watch.
He's fixing one of those mistakes now. He lets his gaze wander to the cool autumn sky as he nears the hospital. Its deep blue calms something restless in his chest. He's been waiting to see Gaz again. See him patched up, finally erase the vision of him as he took him to med-evac; bleeding profusely and his brows pinched in pain as he tried to keep a brave face. He was shaking all over but just grit his teeth and didn't let himself cry out in pain when Price carried him to safety.
He buys flowers at the hospital's flowershop. He browses the selection helplessly for a moment, wondering what the hell he's doing. Is it even appropriate for him to bring flowers? Would it be strange? But he pushes through the embarrassment – he's just being polite. People bring flowers to patients all the time.
His eyes land on a bouquet of deep blue flowers. His mind goes to the blue autumn sky. Has Gaz been able to enjoy the view? Maybe he would appreciate the reminder of the outside world. Besides, he likes blue, right?
Without thinking about it too much, he gets the blue flowers.
He weaves his way through the hospital, asking the front desk for Gaz's whereabouts, and then saunters to Gaz's room with the flowers squeezed in his sweaty hand.
He doesn't let himself hesitate at the door. He steps in with a knock and there he is – Gaz sitting in a hospital bed. His hospital gown is blue. It almost makes Price smile.
Gaz looks up from his phone and grins.
"Captain," he greets him and something warm spills over in Price's chest.
"Gaz," he says, walking up to him, stopping at the end of his bed. "Looking better, I see."
"I didn't expect to see you," Gaz says. It stings a bit, but Price guesses he deserves it.
"What kind of captain would I be if I didn't check up on my Sergeant?" he replies. Gaz's eyes soften a little. It makes his chest flutter.
"A shit one, I guess."
Price has to laugh at the flippant reply.
He hears rustling from behind him – he glances behind him, and sure enough, Gaz's roommate looks sheepish at being caught watching them.
"Don't mind me," the strange man says and takes out his phone. Price nods at him, feeling suddenly self-conscious. He turns back to Gaz whose eyes are already on him.
"Those for me?" he nods at the flowers and Price can feel his cheeks heat up.
"Yeah." He shrugs. "It's polite, isn't it?"
"Courtesy flowers," Gaz replies cheekily. "I'm touched, Boss."
"I can always take these home with me."
"C'mon now, Cap, I never get flowers," Gaz says, reaching out towards them. Price hands them over, their fingers brushing at the exchange, and he refuses to snatch his hand back even though it feels like the point of contact could burn him. Gaz cradles the flowers to his chest, leaning down to smell them.
"Thank you," he says then with a faint smile and Price mentally congratulates himself for the impulse buy.
"There's a vase on top the shelf above you," Gaz's roommate pipes up and Price nearly startles.
Gaz grins at the man. "Thanks, mate. Well, Cap?" He looks at Price expectantly, and suddenly Price is overcome with such fondness for his Sergeant that he doesn't know what to do.
It's helpless. He knows what it is, this unnamed emotion, the one he's still not brave enough to acknowledge. He thinks back to the panic he felt when Gaz went down, the desperation with which he hastily stuffed the bullet wound with gauze before heading for exfil. He should be groveling at Gaz's feet for forgiveness.
Perhaps he could, still, start with getting the bloody vase.

Something wormed it's way into my head like a month ago and guess what? I can't get it out. I now have a modern AU and you have to deal with me giving the boys silly highschool nicknames. For example:
Four, aka The Ant
(613 words ahead)
"wait- you went to Central Hyrule High School too??"
Legend asked from the desk, his station a mess of tools and trinkets and oil he'd clean later.
"Why you surprised? It's a public school" Four answered the question with another question.
"Well, I don't know, you're my superior in mechanics but you were probably my classmate" Legend murmured, nose touching a tiny piece of the car radio he was trying to repair.
"Nah, I'd remember another Link." Four quipped, still under the car he was working with, not even turning his head to speak. "You were there too?"
"Well I was always on competitions and went traveling very often because of that. I thought I was published in the school news?" Leg and murmured, a bit self consciously.
"Oh, sorry, I never actually read those things" Four finally popped his head out from under the car.
"Oh, don't worry, I'd rather you never know" Legend reasured, embarrassment creeping into his cheeks.
Four went back to his work and stayed silent for a couple minutes, then he got out from under the car and opened the hood.
"Can you pass me my backpack? I brought a piece from the store yesterday..." He didn't trail off, he started muttering under his breath while analyzing the insides of the engine like a puzzle to be solved.
Legend saw the backpack at the side of the desk, that wasn't really the safest place, where oil could spill over and stain it, but Legend tried to not do that, so he guessed it was like Four was trusting him. There wasn't much space for keeping things away in a little house workshop either, so it was understandable anyway.
He made to lift the backpack and was immediately surprised by the thing refusing to separate from the ground. However, Legend was strong enough and with a bit more of effort he usually makes, he grabbed the thing and carried it over to Four.
"What do you have in this, rocks? Gods it's heavy"
"A motor actually" Four accepted the pack and, to Legend's secret surprise, lifted it easily with his non dominant hand to open it with the dominant one. "And my tools"
Sure enough, there was a goddess be damned motor in the bag.
"How do you have so much strength and so little height?" Legend blurted out, not really catching himself.
Four burst out laughing and Legend tried to think of that to lessen the warmth at the tips of his ears.
"Well, I've been in this since I have memory. My grandpa taught me, this is his workshop. Actually, people in highschool said I was so little I worked like an ant. It kind of stuck though a couple years."
"Wait really?? I remember hearing that name in the hallways! I laughed a lot, secretly obviously" Legend exclaimed that one shut up you ant! he heard a lot on the hallways was hilarious.
"Oh, yeah it was really funny, friends held it over my head for a while" Four chuckled as he connected the motor. Legend went back to his work with the radio.
After a few more minutes, Legend started laughing.
"You ok?" Four asked, chuckling too because Legend's laugh was a bit contagious.
It took a bit for Legend's giggling to calm down enough to apologize "sorry, sorry, it's just... ant" and he kept giggling.
Four was smiling too, it had been a while since he heard the nickname and he never let anyone but two specific people call him that, but Legend was a good guy, it was fine.
Wow did he really just make a new friend over mechanics and old nicknames?
Thx for reading!

The tray clanked against his desk as he set it down and he tried to put his thoughts together quickly. He hadn't been expecting to entertain Beau again. Hell, he was pretty damn sure that with Quintus in charge of his well being, he'd barely see him if it could be helped. But still he couldn't be rude. He had a feeling if he even attempted to run him out of here, he'd run back and tell Quin something truly awful. He sighed and made to grab the jug of wine he'd brought up for the both of them and uncorked it, pouring himself a full glass.
"Beau," He started out, still hunched over his desk. Cesare took the glass and a deep drink followed. "I don't know what you're looking to get out of me." He answered quite plainly, the prince turned around and looked at him again. Those dark eyes looking too intently at him. "And if you'd like to pick up where we left off, you'd need to retrieve my blade you left in the pompous, lard head of a man that's trying to fuck you and Quintus and now apparently me over until death." He sighed and took another deep drink of wine. The warmth pooling in his belly and it felt nice. The tension he'd been carrying was starting to ease but not loosen entirely. No he'd wait for Quintus to come back before any of that happened.
The prince popped a few bits of dark chocolate into his mouth followed by some cheese. Quin had been right when he said to get food. Perhaps that was a good sign, if he had appetite then maybe ... Cesare realized he was drifting but found himself unable to focus completely. "He's going to kill you when he finds you're out when you're not supposed to be you know. And I'm inclined to look the other way." That was half a joke, though he'd never allow actual harm to come to this man. He had saved them after all. "There's nothing I can do if this is what Quintus wants. I'm sure he's already spoken to Max but I will try and see what I can do." The prince polished off his wine and found a bit of bread to tide him over some more. A soft moan left his lips tasting the freshness of it. Gods he really should have eaten before getting up here. He had no idea why he hadn't. "But I did promise you'd be free and I doubt Quin truly wants to hold someone against their will. He may just be looking to give you a ... what do they call it ... ah." He smiled, brushing the crumbs from his fingers and he finally walked closer to him "A taste of your own medicine."
It was only then that he'd realized it wasn't Beau he was speaking to. The way the light reflected off Quin's eyes and that subtle tilt of his mouth, he knew him quite well. But it was clear there was some kind of game to be played here. He'd bite for the time being. Besides, it would serve him right to pull a stunt on him like this. "Maybe he's being too harsh. It's truly not for me to decide." He shrugged, smiling softly. "I'm not sure you could change my mind even if there were something to be done."
Quin walked with Cesare at his side, his mind racing from everything that had happened. He was downright terrified for his uncle to find out about the engagement. There was no doubt in his mind that his uncle hadn’t figured out Cesare stole Quintus back from him. There was now just as much of a target on Cesare’s as on Quin’s. In truth, he didn’t know what his uncle’s next move would be, but he had a feeling lingering in the pit of his stomach that it would be war. Since he could not retrieve Max and Quin, he’d take Adros by force to get them back.
He was so lost in his thoughts he didn’t realize Cesare was moving forward until Quintus was already wrapped up in his arms. He leaned his weight onto the prince, tucking his head beneath Cesare’s chin, his arms looping around his waist. “I need…” Quin started, then paused. He knew what he needed. He needed to know what happened on the border, specifically between Cesare and Beau. While he firmly believed that Cesare would never sleep with someone else, Beau was an actor. He was precise in his ability to impersonate Quintus. And he knew he could have asked Cesare outright for the story and get mostly a truthful answer in return. “I want to clean myself up, change out of these clothes, and then I need to see Max.” He pulled back, looking up at Cesare. “While I do that, you should go down to the kitchens and get us food, bring it up to your quarters, and I’ll meet you there when I’m done.” Quin leaned forward, pressing his forehead against Cesare’s chin. He could feel the prince’s protest in his bones. It was torture for Quintus to ask for time apart, even if it was for a couple of hours after reuniting. “I need this,” He said, squeezing Cesare’s waist. “Okay?”
Quintus pressed himself against Cesare’s body again before pulling away, his hand sliding down to grip Cesare’s. “Go collect us a feast,” He said, walking backward until their connected hands were stretched out, still connecting them. Then he let out and turned around to head back to his quarters.
Entering his rooms, Quintus sighed to see Beau sprawled out on his bed, flipping through one of his journals. “Riveting diary,” He said, closing the book with a snap. “I don’t appreciate being left out of club meetings when I’ve done so much to get you here.”
Quin laughed, the sound echoing through the room. He stopped at the end of his bed to grab his journal from Beau’s hands. “You’ll be present when I want you to be present.”
“Then what am I doing here?” Beau sat up, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I want to know what happened at the border,” Quin said, sitting on the chest at the bottom of his bed. “Specifically, what happened between you and Cesare.”
“Ohhh,” Beau purred, crawling towards Quin. “I see.” He sat next to the prince, his back pressed up against the bedpost. “Someone is riddled with jealousy. Did my beloved prince sleep with another man?” Beau pressed a hand to his chest, pretending to be faint. “I have to say, Quintus, you’re fortunate. He is such a giving lover. And, honestly, feeling the weight of his body press you down into the bed…” Beau closed his eyes, inhaling slowly. “I’ve never experienced such a feeling of security and protection.”
“He wouldn’t have been fooled. He would know it wasn’t me at some point and would have stopped.” Quin felt like he was going to be sick. Everything Beau said was the same thoughts Quintus had after sleeping with Cesare. “He knows me.”
Beau lazily opened his eyes, raising a brow at the prince. “Of course, he realized after a while. We may look the same and may have been trained to fuck by the same man, but I am far more experienced in this act than you are. Cesare is too good of a man to point out your inexperience, but we both know you lack skills in bed. Richard always mentioned how frigid you were in the sheets. Cesare noticed the same thing. Unfortunately, that is not something I can do in bed. Or maybe he just fucked me, so I would help him get you out; who knows.”
“I don’t believe you.” But he did. Quin felt like he had been doused in cold water, his inner insecurities exposed to the room. He was open and bleeding from every word Beau had thrown at him. Every nerve in his body felt raw and exposed. “He is an honor-”
“He’s a man, a future King,” Beau said, snorting at Quin’s words. “He’s had lovers before; you know that just as I do. Fucking you was probably like fucking a virgin. You can’t blame him for seeking out someone who has experience. What did he tell you about that night?” Beau looked at Quin before his mouth curled into a villainous smirk. “Ah, I see. You haven’t. Interesting. Does that mean you’re staying in here tonight? Because you should know, I’m a cuddler…”
________________________________
The prince was either out of his mind or had completely lost it. The verdict was still up in the air.
Getting into Prince Cesare’s quarters was easy. Quintus had lived in the castle prior and had snuck into the prince’s quarters because they let him walk right in even though Cesare was not back yet.
So he had some time to kill. He made himself comfortable in the room, lounging on the prince’s bed, limbs sprawled as if he owned the space. He had always been good with that, walking around with confidence and being able to claim space for himself. Growing up like he had, they would eat you alive if you didn’t. It also helped that he was a quick study, much like his counterpart. The more time he spent around him, the more he learned they were alike. Even if it pained him to admit it, there was no denying that.
It was another twenty minutes until the door opened, and Cesare walked in, his face lighting up until his gaze spied the clothes he was wearing. A brief look of suspicion crossed his face. “Prince Cesare,” He purred, drawing out the prince’s name. “I’ve been waiting for you. I thought we could discuss the deal we made back at the border. My feelings are hurt, but if you make it better, maybe I’d be willing to finish what we started back in my quarters.” He ran a hand down his chest, fingers toying with the fabric. “Hmm?”

ding ding ding! After more than one month in the making, I'm finally dropping the fourth character sheet upon you, plus a little announcement! My scanner isn't really the best and I hope Tumblr doesn't butcher the quality of the illustration, but I'll put a photo of it at the end just in case
After this one, I'll start focusing on making "longer" versions of the existing character sheets through the Atlas expansion of Notion. So we can consider these Tumblr posts as "short versions" for now!
More on that soon hopefully
---------------------------
Your commitment... is misdirected. Your efforts, misplaced.
-Tristam, Ch.7
Tristam Cavalieri
Gender: Male
Pronouns: he/him
Age (at Ch.1): 15
Nationality: Italian
Height/Weight: approx. 160 cm/49 kg
Flame type: Pallid Flame
Affiliation: Cavalieri Family (Mother Branch, heir)
Birthrates among the Cavalieri family are extremely low, and even lower when it comes to biological males. One would say it’s a curse, but it is in fact a blessing: children born male among the Cavalieri are destined to either a destined death, or oblivion.
If born without the Pallid Flame, they’re considered useless, a waste of flesh, and are normally relegated to low-level jobs among the family. If born with flame, their bodies are doomed to give out early in life, some not even making it to see their adult days. This “event” - because defining it desease would be underestimating it - is called the “Chiamata alle Armi” (Call to Arms).
But the coming of Tristam was truly a miracle. Born with the Pallid Flame and without the gene that causes the Call to Arms, he’s been treated like a gift from heaven itself ever since early age, a ruler fated to bring new life and glory to the Cavalieri Family. The result of his upbringing is a proud, gracious, and seemingly courteous boy who’s been his mother’s most faithful follower and apprentice.
He takes his role very seriously. The young lord has been gathering consensus quickly, and has made strong allies among the family throughout his teenage years. Before him, there's only one documented case of a male-born Cavalieri who possessed the flame and yet lived to old age - the Cavalieri Fifth, Bonfante.
His future is bright, he knows it. And nobody doubts it.
