Quite literally! I have Finally drawn again! I am so Happy! My style is a bit rough.. or perhaps I should say... ruff! (Haha, sorry!) but that's just because I have not drawn anything other than my Final Piece for the past few months!

There it is, the Solavellan animation I spent an entire month making with little to no experience in the field ! It was a very daring bet but, to my own surprise, one that I did pull off nonetheless ! Takeaway : this is what being completely normal about The Character will do to you.

Many scenes pass by a bit too fast for you to get to watch them comfortably, despite my best newbie attempts. I apologize for the inconvenience. Storyboarding was hell!

#dragon age #solas #solavellan #spirit cole #fan animation #clip studio #datv spoilers #amburu #WOOOOOOO I completed a long project !!#I emerged victorious on the other side of an ambitious WIP !#this is soooo rare for me i'm so proud i made it to the end #although it took me over an hour to convert to a video file because clip studio kept generating very bad compression at the very end #you can still see a little bit of it but it's way better than what I had to fight off #i'll just leave it at that and accept the current state #it's watchable it's alright #but gee that's an expensive software you know u_u #anyway I MADE THE THING :D :D #this kept me busy for WEEKS #this has been my entire life for the whole start of 2025 #... bit scary now that it's over.....#i actually enjoyed the process... (although i HATED storyboarding it)#storyboarding requires thinking very hard and making a ton of choices #this is the HARDEST thing to do for me in any medium : the planning / layout #I had LITTERAL HEADACHES it was PAINFUL #at one point I had to make a change and i was agonizing over it for hours lol #but once the layout is done it becomes so easy i was listening to podcasts and streams all day while moving my little vector lines around #...phfew...#Hopefully someone will enjoy it but I can confidently say I did at the very least #early on when I completed the vallaslin cut I then watched it and it gave me actual chills because it was exactly what i was hoping for #it's so rare for me to actually experience the joyful part of art creation because im not passionate at all otherwise

im a slut for post magic reveal arthur (& knights) thinking merlin has like. a smidge of magic. like he can get stains out of clothes or warm food and baths but OBVIOUSLY merlin can’t fight. that’s ridiculous. merlin doesn’t correct this notion for whatever reason - perhaps it’s best that people think that so when they’re all in danger, he isn’t registered as a threat so he can protect his silly lil guys. ofc his silly lil guys realize that they were wrong bc the bad guys get a lil too close to hurting arthur and merlin is like “nope! fights over!!” and annihilates them

Here's a list over issues I've seen Americans have about Robbie Williams and/or Better Man, and subsequently, my attempts at answering them as a humble Norwegian guy who grew up in the late 2000's and early 2010's:

Why is he a CGI monkey? Now I've seen loads of different explanations for this, so I'll try to summarise it for you (even though he literally explains it in the trailer); Robbie Williams is a performer, an entertainer, and due to this he's always felt like a bit of a circus monkey being pulled on stage for a show, combined with people not taking him seriously as a musician. Additionally, he rose to fame with Take That at the age of 16, and partially, due to this, he has felt a bit stunted and less evolved than other people ("but humans didn't evolve from chimpanzees" yes we know). He also said in an interview that he's on the spectrum to kind of bond these things together. Besides, it's an interesting gimmick lol.

Why have I never heard of him if he's "so" famous? Robbie Williams never really broke in the US. Probably just because of differences in the industry at the time, or the fact that his music is often heavily influenced by the europop genre.

So he's famous in the UK, that doesn't make him a worldwide star. You need to stop treating this as a US vs. UK thing. He's not just big in the UK. He's well-known in most of the world outside America (Europe, Asia, Oceania, etc.), take it from me as a Norwegian.

Why do you care if I don't know who he is/if I don't want to watch the movie? We don't. We really don't care. I mean, we were surprised at first that Americans had never heard of him because it's unimaginable to us who have had his music drilled into our brains our entire lives. But we're not angry that you don't know who he is. We're annoyed with and tired of the attitude. All we're asking is for you to have a little bit of decorum and treat the subject with even a speck of respect.

Don't take it personally. We're not. We're just tired of rehashing the same arguments over and over again because you don't know who he is.

You don't have to know who Robbie Williams is. You don't even have to like him. All we're asking is that you have the common decency to listen to us when we do our best to explain it to you because, in the end; you asked.
