Watching Hannibal and man, Alana Bloom is not in denial, she’s on a whole other level. She accused Will of murdering Freddie, she told him she doesn't think Hannibal is helping him, that they're not good for each other, she admitted whoever killed Freddie (Will, according to her) and someone else are courting. Will handed her a gun and told her to be careful with Hannibal for fucks sake. And yet she still goes to meet him by herself. Girl what are you doing, get out of theree.

Could you do a one shot with Trevor Zegras where the reader and the Trevor broke up and the reader is famous model so she comes to one of Trevor’s games because her best friend is dating Jack. And Trevor’s new “talking stage” starts causing a distraction so Trevor notices it and the reader is completely unbothered.
a/n: thank you so much for requesting this, i loved this idea!
Tumblr media
This was not your idea, this was actually so far from your idea but you were a good best friend. Good enough of a best friend to go to your exes hockey game because his team was playing against the team that your best friends boyfriend played on. “You’re so lucky I love you.” You told her as you threw on one of the jerseys she had with Jacks number on it. “Isn’t it weird that I’m wearing your boyfriends jersey?” You asked and she shook her head. “Well, you have to go in a jersey and I don’t have any others plus I’m not letting you support the Ducks or him.”
You rolled your eyes at her, you knew her dislike for Trevor came just from the break up and not because she had actual hatred for him. But she made it known to him every time she had to hang out with him because Jack invited him to something. “You look good in red, you sure you don’t want Jack giving you John or Nicos number? Then maybe we’d see each other more often.”
“Again I love you but no, I have to focus on my career and I’m busy all the time.” But the truth was you just weren’t ready. The break up took a lot out of you and recently you had seen Trevor had been talking to someone new. It definitely stung seeing that on social media. At the game you were instantly reminded that you missed nights out like this. Maybe if you did end up moving to New York you could see your best friend more often at least on the weekends.
Your thoughts were interrupted when a few seats away from you, Trevors new girlfriend or whatever she was took her seat. Clearly you weren’t the only one who had recognized her because the look on her face showed she knew exactly who you were. “Look at him! My baby.” Your best friend squealed next to you as Jack waved up at the two of you, blowing a kiss to your best friend.
Again there was that ache of missing something like that. As the game got started you concentrated on it and cheered every time the Devils scored, you definitely were not going to upset your best friend by cheering for the Ducks tonight at all. It was all fine until Trevors new girl started causing a scene on purpose. It only got worse when she pointed her attention to you. “And everyone knows you only used Trevor to get far in your career. How’s that going for you? Just a washed up influencer model.”
The words didn’t cut that deep, instead you ignored her because you had nothing to add. Your best friend on the other hand tensed up immediately. “Hey do you mind? We’re watching the game.” Your hand went to her arm, knowing she could easily get heated when people attacked the people she cared about. “Careful, I’m sure she’ll go after your man in hopes of getting more fame.”
“Ignore her, watch the game and she’ll shut up.” You warned your best friend and you could tell it was taking everything in her to not do something. Of course you were slightly irritated for the rest of the game. Your good night had been slightly tarnished and you hated that. After the game was over you passed on going out for drinks, mostly in fear that Jack would invite his best friend who would in turn bring the girl he was seeing.
As you laid in bed you thought over about the whole night when your phone buzzed. “You look better in my jersey btw.” The text was from Trevor and you felt your stomach tie itself in knots. “I’m sure your girlfriend would love hearing that.” You quickly sent back and it didn’t take long for your phone to ring. You picked up the call “Not my girlfriend especially after what I saw tonight and from what Jack told me.” Trevor hadn’t even waited to completely jump into conversation.“I also thought you’d come out at some point with us so I could tell you in person to never wear Jacks jersey again.” A small laugh left your lips at his words. “Didn’t want to run into your…friend.” You corrected yourself before you called her his girlfriend again. “Well, I’m actually on my way to your place and I’m really hoping you let me in. I even have a jersey with my name on it for you.”

Down Bad
The sun was setting over the outdoor rink, casting a warm glow on the ice as the afternoon practice wrapped up. Trevor Zegras skated off the rink, his jersey sticking to him from the heat of the day. He wiped his brow with the back of his hand, catching sight of you on the sidelines. You were laughing at something Luke had said, your eyes sparkling in the fading light.
Trevor felt his heart skip a beat. He could barely believe how long he’d harbored these feelings for you—how he wanted to just take a step closer and let you know. But as always, he stayed quiet, feeling the familiar knot of nerves in his stomach.
Jack Hughes, ever the observant friend, skated up beside Trevor, a knowing grin plastered across his face. “You look like you want to devour her,” he said, nudging Trevor with his elbow.
“Shut the fuck up, that is so not true,” Trevor shot back, his cheeks heating up as he tried to play it cool, but Jack's words hung in the air.
“Dude, come on! Just look at you.” Jack gestured toward you, who was now talking animatedly with Luke. “You’re practically drooling. Just ask her out already!”
“I can’t just—” Trevor started, but Jack cut him off.
“Why not? You’ve been down bad for her since, like, forever,” Jack teased, rolling his eyes dramatically. “Everyone can see it except you two.”
“Yeah, well, maybe it’s not that simple!” Trevor replied, crossing his arms defensively. The truth was, he was terrified of ruining your friendship, and the thought of rejection made his stomach twist.
Jack raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “What’s the worst that could happen? You ask her out, and she says no? Then at least you know and can move on. But the way you’re acting, it’s like you’re just waiting for her to come to you.”
Trevor let out an exasperated sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. “I just… I don’t want to mess anything up, you know? We’re all friends. What if it doesn’t work out?”
“Then you move on like a big boy,” Jack replied with a smirk. “But right now, you’re just making yourself look like an idiot. Just go over there and talk to her!”
Trevor looked back at you, and his heart raced again at the sight of your smile. “You really think I should?” he asked, his voice softer now.
“Absolutely,” Jack replied, his expression turning serious for a moment. “You’ll regret it if you don’t. Life’s too short to sit around and pine for someone when you could be with them.”
Taking a deep breath, Trevor glanced at you once more. Your laughter rang out, and he felt a surge of determination. “Okay, you’re right. I’m going to do it.”
“Finally!” Jack cheered, clapping Trevor on the back as he started to walk toward you. “And if you blow it, I’ll never let you live it down!”
Trevor shot him a glare over his shoulder. “Thanks for the vote of confidence, man.”
As he approached, you turned to him, your smile brightening even more. “Hey, Trevor! How was practice?”
“Uh, it was good,” he stammered, his nerves flooding back. But he pushed through, finding his voice. “Actually, I wanted to ask you something.”
You tilted your head, curious. “Yeah? What’s up?”
“Would you… want to grab dinner with me sometime?” he asked, trying to keep his voice steady. “Just the two of us?”
Your eyes widened slightly, and Trevor held his breath, waiting for your response.
“I’d love that,” you said, a smile breaking across your face that made Trevor’s heart race.
“Awesome,” he replied, a grin spreading across his face. He felt a wave of relief wash over him. “Cool. So, I’ll figure out when and text you?”
“Sounds perfect!” you agreed, your excitement infectious.
Trevor turned back to Jack, who was watching from a distance with a satisfied grin. “See? That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
Trevor chuckled, the tension easing as he realized he had taken the first step. “Yeah, yeah. I owe you one.”
Jack just winked. “Let’s hope it all goes as planned. Now, come on, I need to find something to eat before Luke eats all the food again!”
As Trevor joined Jack, he couldn’t help but feel a rush of happiness. He had finally taken a leap, and it felt good. You were worth it.

The Three Dimensions Exchange Week
@voltagefandomproject here's chapter three in the series, and the longest so far
CW: Gore in text, cringe, and everyone just dying on the inside. Proceed with caution
previous chapter || next chapter
Chapter 3:
“Welcome to the House, everyone,” said Barbatos. “Please make yourselves comfortable.”
The smell of paint had almost faded from the walls. The Foyer was decorated with plants native to this region of the devildom, a shoe rack made of the finest hell-iron, a mahogany coatrack and a small crystal chandelier. Everyone looked in awe at the decor. The most impressed of the group are Ace and Jack. “You really went all-out on this, didn’t ya?” said Jack.
“Right? It’s beautiful!” Sherry chirped.
“I’m glad it’s to your liking,” said Barbatos. “Dinner will be hosted at the House of Lamentation at six o’clock, so until then take your time to settle into your new home.”
“Thank you very much,” said Aquia.
“Also, thanks for stepping in back there in the council room,” Ace whispered.
“Think nothing of it,” Barbatos whispered back with a smile.
And with that Barbatos gave them the building layout, bid them farewell and then left.
“‘Spose now would be a good time to figure out our rooms, yeah?” said Lance.
“Right. Looks like there are seven rooms on the first floor and seven on the second,” said Azul.
It didn’t take long for the guests to figure out which rooms they would stay in. Sherry and Y/N took the two rooms next to each other on the west wing of the second floor while The rest occupied the first floor. Once everyone put their belongings in their rooms, Sherry and Y/N went downstairs to meet up with the rest in the living room. Or, at least, tried to, since Y/N slipped and fell down the stairs, much to Sherry’s horror.
“Are you alright!?” She squeaked.
“O-o-o-ouch”
Everyone rushed to the scene to see Y/N face down on the floor. Ace and Azul couldn’t help but let out a few snickers.
“You mustn’t be so mean,” Rio chided them. He turned to Y/N and helped her up. “Nothing hurt I hope?”
“N-n-n-n-n-n-n-not r-r-r-r-r-r-r-really.”
“I can get some ice,” Jack said.
“Oh, please do,” said Rio
Rio wasn’t going to take any chances. He scooped Y/N into his arms and took her to the sofa in the living room. Jack returned with a plastic bag of ice and handed it to Y/N. “T-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-thank you,” she said.
“Hey, uh, If you don’t mind me asking, Do you have a speech impediment or something?” Jack asked.
“W-w-w-w-w-w-what m-m-m-m-m-makes y-y-y-y-you s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-say t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-that?”
Ace had to bite his lip to keep himself from cackling, and it seems Azul was thinking the same thing. Jack and Rio’s expressions at her statement made it all the harder for the two poor boys not to burst out laughing.
Sherry shot them dirty looks before asking Y/N, “So, Y/N, how did you come about here? What’s your story?”
“I’d like to know that as well. I had no prior knowledge of you coming here. What brought this on?” Malleus said.
“Oh. My. God. NO!” Ace cried.
“Please listen to Ace!” Azul sobbed. This was already too much, and she hadn’t even started talking. Ignoring their pleas, Y/N’s body began to shake like an earthquake hit her and her sapphire-ocean-baby-diamond blue orbs dilated
“What’s going on?” Lance said. His question was soon answered when Y/N began to speak
“My mother’s body got crushed under a four-tonne truck, and my father’s body was shredded into pieces.”
Sherry: “I- Dragon’s teeth! This is horrific”
Y/N: “And my siblings went missing after my cousin got impaled by an iron fence and when a giraffe slung my cat to the moon”
Aquia: “What in the Devildom?”
Y/N: “I soon got taken in by an abusive orphanage and they tried to sell me to Vil Schoenheit two weeks ago-”
Jack: “Pardon??”
Azul: “I guess that explains why Vil was so quiet in our last housewarden meeting…”
Y/N: “And then my rich ex-boyfriend who is part vampire, part human, part lizard, part Teletubby, and part demon and a mafia boss for a subdivision in the Devildom’s mafia who bullied me is looking for me so I ran and asked Lord Diavolo to grant me asylum here”
Lance: “... Is this person even real?”
Malleus: “Hold up. Your ex bullied you? How did you even get into a relationship in the first place?”
Ace: “It’s the bully and the nerd falling in love trope isn’t it? Too bad that hardly ever works out in real life. Case in point: ”
Ace gestured toward Y/N to make his point, to which Y/N lowered her gaze. “Uh- anyway, why did you seek asylum here?”
“Ace, she went through a traumatic experience!” Aquia chided. “She might not be comfortable with-”
“He’s looking for me because I’m three weeks pregnant with his baby,” Y/N interrupted.
Ace: “AND A WHAT-WHEN-WHO-A-FUCKING?! Wait a minute, what time is it?”
Azul: “It’s 3:27. We’ve only known her for less than two hours”
This was going to be a long night.

can u do one where jack hughes takes care of the reader while they’re sick/on their period?
word count: 0.7k words
request: maybe one with Jack where the reader is like sick/in the hospital and he's like really concerned and overreacting lol? putting two similar requests together!
Tumblr media
“Alright this will be on for six weeks and then we’ll have to re-evaluate” Your eyes bulge as the doctor’s words register.
“Six weeks?” You were honestly hoping for it to just be a sprain so you could sneakily hide a wrap instead of a big cast. The doctor confirms before leaving you alone again and you’re about to leave when you realize you can’t exactly drive. An Uber would be an option if it wasn’t for your poor rating courtesy of the last night out with Jack and Ty.
Huffing as you stated at the wall, you muster up the courage to call him. “Jack?”
“Hey, what’s wrong?” He could tell by your tone that something was up and you took a shaky breath before telling him what happened.
“Can you come to the hospital? I’ll text you my room number and everything, I just don’t want to be alone” You could hear a lot of background noise before Jack answered.
“I’m on my way”
“Do you need anything else?” Jack made it in record timing, only ten minutes on a drive that should’ve taken at least double that time.
“No I’m okay, just want you here” You shifted over a little so he could sit on the bed with you, careful to not hit your leg.
“So what happened?” You only told him the gist of the story on the phone, a little too embarrassed about what actually happened.
“I was trying to move that bookshelf, you know the one in Luke’s room? Yeah, I tripped and it kinda landed on my foot” It was apart of your redecorating project you had bestowed upon yourself when Luke moved in with you. His room was previously a spare/storage room and you decided you had to make it more homey for him which then led to you redoing the entire apartment. You were planning on moving the bookshelf from Luke’s room to the living room but now it was sitting in the middle of the apartment for one of the boys to move later.
“Babe why would you try to move that yourself? It weighs like 50 pounds” Jack had even told you this morning that he’d help you when he got home from practice but you didn’t want to wait anymore and it seemed doable in the moment.
“I know, sorry”
“I just don’t want to see you hurt” Jack mumbled, laying down next to you on the bed.
You were finally allowed to go home, the doctors were finished assessing and casting you so they sent you on your way with Jack practically glued to your side.
“Are you comfy? Do you need another pillow?” He had put you on the couch, propped your casted foot up on a pillow and was just returning with your water and a snack.
“I’m fine J”
“Can I film this to send to Quinn?” Luke asked from the other couch and you laugh while Jack glares at him.
“She’s injured Luke! Show some compassion!”
“I’m fine Jack, it doesn’t even hurt right now” He was still pouting so you reached out to squeeze his hand.
“Okay but if you need anything…”
“I’ll let you know” You assured him.
“Here’s some tylenol because I know you don’t take advil” He shot you a wink. “And there’s a plate of food in the fridge or this basket is full of your snacks” Jack was fussing over you once again while Luke was waiting not-so-patiently by the door.
“Jack…” He called but Jack ignored him.
“You call me if you need anything”
“You’re going to be a little busy Jacky” You remind him of the game he’s playing tonight that he will be late for if he doesn’t leave soon.
“Right. Well I’ll be home right after”
“Okay. Thank you, I love you. Now get out!” You pushed him gently towards the door and he leant over for a quick kiss before heading out.
“Good luck Luke!” You call after them and you hear a thank you before the door slams shut.
“Hey babe, cast’s off right?” Jack was on a road trip to Dallas which meant he couldn’t be there while you got your cast off.
“Yep, back to normal”
“Good, I’m glad” Jack smiled brightly and you found yourself sitting and admiring him.
“Have I mentioned how grateful I am for you, J?”
“Not recently”
“Well I am and I love you. Go kick some Texan ass tonight baby!” Jack’s infectious giggles made you both laugh for a few minutes before saying your goodbyes.
“Stay safe, no moving shelving while I’m gone” Jack warned and you rolled your eyes.
“Yes Jack, goodbye”

Tie Reveal - Aaron Hotchner x male!reader
What is it with me and turning short and sweet ideas into long one shots? Yeah so anyway, enjoy (AO3)
Warnings/tags: relationship rreveal, fluff and humor, light angst
Wordcount: 2837
Summary: You come into work wearing the wrong tie
You hate rushing in the morning, preferring to start your day in a calm and relaxed manner. That’s not on the table for today however, as you and Aaron both rush to get dressed.
“You’re going to be late.” You say as you button your shirt, glad you had had the forethought to grab on from your to go bag, as not wake any suspicion or teasing from the team. Aaron glances at the clock as he puts his shoes on.
“It’s still before the time you usually get in.”
“Yeah, but not for you.” You pick up your ties from the floor, giving Aaron’s to him. You’re quick to put yours on, Aaron mirroring you.
“I’ll just say that I got a flat tire.” You nod, stealing a quick kiss from him as you grab your jacket on the way out.
“Okay, see you at work!” You’re out the door before he can respond, making your way quickly down, not even bothering with the elevator in your haste to get to your car.
—-
You make it to work on time, only a few minutes later than usual, but that can be blamed on the fresh coffee in your hand from the coffee shop down the street.
As the elevator plings to announce your arrival on the right floor, you’re met by Garcia, Reid, and Morgan standing right outside, groaning as they spot you.
“Well, good morning to you guys too.” You say with a confused look at them all as you step out.
“It’s not you, we’re just just waiting for Hotch.” Garcia explains and you raise a brow, faking confusion.
“Hotch? Isn’t he here already?”
“No, so I got worried, so I checked his phone and it was pinging on the road just outside his apartment building, which is weird cause he’s normally the first one here-”
“Are you even supposed or allowed to do that outside of a case or emergency?” Garcia hesitates, and you huff and shake your head at them.
“Well, I’m going to go and start work, like you all should.” You leave the team as they go back to watching the elevator doors, quickly shooting off a text to Hotch to let him know that the flat tire excuse won’t work.
A few minutes later you hear a happy Garcia shout Hotch’s name and seconds later he comes in through the glass doors, followed by Garcia, Reid, and Morgan.
“Guys, I’m fine, I just slept trough my alarm this morning.”
“But you never do that.” Garcia responds, hot on his heels.
“So what’s her name?” Morgan quips, Hotch stops in his tracks to give him a withering glare before resuming his path to his office.
“Ohhh, lover boy!” Morgan teases at Hotch’s back.
“Remember we got a briefing in ten minutes sir!” Garcia yells after him before the door to his office is closed behind him. You hide your smile behind your coffee, trying not to bring much attention to yourself. Garcia leaves to prepare a few last things for the briefing, but Reid and Morgan linger next to your desk, still standing.
“Do you really think that’s what made him late?” Reid asks.
“Come on, that man never misses anything and sleeps light, and Jack is away for a week, so what else could it be?” Morgan glances at you. “What do you think?” You take a sip of your coffee, pretending to think.
“Maybe, or maybe he is telling the truth. The man is only human, and with the amount of hours he spends in the office he might actually just have slept trough his alarm.” Morgan nods, but doesn’t seem convinced.
You all make your way into the meeting room. You sit down in the chair next to a standing Garcia as you often do, Reid, Morgan, JJ, and Rossi joining you around the table, Hotch striding in as usual a few minutes later.
“Garcia, please begin.” He stays on his feet, ready to go as soon as he can.
“Look to the screen my mighty crime fighters, because today you’re goi-”
“You’ve switched ties.” Reid cuts Garcia off mid-sentence, making everyone look at Reid, wondering what in the world he is talking about. He points at you.
“You and Hotch, you’ve switched.” Both of you look down, then at each other as the team looks between the two of you. Shit, he’s right.
“When you came in I saw your tie was the same as Hotch wore yesterday, a grey tie with a Gucci pattern. I just thought you had bought the same one, since you both have a similar taste in ties, but Hotch got the same as you wore yesterday, a grey tie with stripes, which still has the small coffee stain from when you spilled some yesterday.” Hotch frowns as lifts up the tie to inspect it, and yes, there’s indeed a small, barely noticeable speck of coffee about halfway up the tie he is wearing. No one says anything for a few seconds, you yourself have turned into a statue, neutral expression on your face. Hotch is much the same, everyone else looking between you two. Garcia is the first one to break the silence, squealing with glee.
“Omg, omg, guys!” She yells as she hugs you from behind, the angle a little awkward with how she leaning over your sitting form. You’re not stone anymore, but you don’t return the hug before she lets you go. Morgan and JJ are both grinning, Rossi is looking at Hotch with smile, Reid is trying not to do the same at you while you glare daggers at him. Hotch sighs.
“Garcia...” His tone is chastising, reminding everyone that there is something else to focus on, which seems to snap her back to work mode. Sort of.
“Right, right, case, lets just brush past that revelation about two of my best friends, so, uhhh, where were we? Or right! Today you’re going to-” She begins to explain the case, both you and Hotch get a few more glances before everyone turns their focus on the case.
----
On the jet you think you’re in the clear, until Rossie settles in the seat next to you. Which is odd, because you’re the only two on the jet so far, and he usually doesn’t sit next to you.
“So you and Hotch huh?” You pretend to read over the case files in front of you, and Rossi chuckles.
“You know, none of us expected a thing. Well done on hiding it from a group of profilers I must say.”
“Rossi, there’s nothing-”
“There’s nothing?” He’s grinning, clearly teasing as he looks down to your tie and taps it with a finger. “Something tells me otherwise.” You sigh, but are saved from answering by the rest of the team joining you on the jet. Everybody buckles down for take off, and not long after you’re in the air, and then all the attention is on the case.
For a little while at least.
You can tell they want to talk about it, but the case keeps everyone occupied, so there’s nothing else before JJ comes back from the hotel with the room cards. Everyone is spread around doing different tasks, so she finds you alone in the conference room the team had been given. You’re reading trough the victims files for some more specifics on victimology when she places a keycard on the table in front of you. You look up, startled as you hadn’t even noticed her entering the room.
“You’ve seen Hotch?” She asks and you furrow a brow.
“I think he’s talking to the police chief in his office, why?”
“His key card, but you can just give it to him when you see him, since you’re sharing a room.”
“I thought we were past the budget cuts-”
“Oh we are, but Garcia made some changes to the booking after this mornings briefing sooo....” JJ grins and you sigh, rubbing your forehead. There’s silence and no movement for a few seconds, then there’s a hand on your shoulder.
“Hey, you know we will always support you guys right?” You sigh heavily, resting your own hand on top of JJ’s, looking up at her.
“I know, it’s just... It wasn’t revealed in the best way.” She grimaces.
“Yeah.” She looks uncertain how to respond, but seems to go for light, which you are grateful for. “But I’m surprised none of us caught on until then, it has been going on for at least a couple of months right?” You try to hide your grin as you pretend to go back to reading the files.
“Well, I’m not a ‘kiss and tell’ kinda guy, but it’s a bit more than a couple months.” JJ laughs and pats your shoulder before leaving the room.
You find Hotch not long after, and when you tell him the whole situation around the shared room, he sighs too, but mostly in a ‘oh what can you do’ kind of way, seemingly mostly resigned to everyone knowing now.
Even with sharing the same room and not needing to hide anything from the team, you go back to the hotel without him. The man is a workaholic, and you want a shower and some sleep, but he promises to join you soon. Instead you end up sharing a car with Reid and Morgan, neither of which say anything in the car, but while you’re waiting for the elevator, all bets seems to be off.
“So, you and the bossman huh?” Morgan teases with a grin as you do your best to ignore him, watching the numbers on the display tick down. The elevator door opens and you quickly step inside, hoping to leave them both behind. But alas, no such luck, as they step inside and Reid presses the button to the floor above yours.
“You know, work place relationships aren’t actually that uncommon. Did you know-” Here you tune him out, once again watching the numbers off the elevator. Normally you like when Reid goes on a tangent, but now, not so much.
“Reid, I will strangle you with my tie to shut you up if I have to.”
“Don’t you mean Hotch’s tie?” The grin on his face is shit-eating, which is rare from Spencer, and Morgan laughs loudly. The combination of it makes you curse under your breath as the doors finally open to your floor. You don’t bother saying goodbye, just going straight down the hall towards the door with your room number on it. Sliding the keycard in, it opens with a click. You drop your bag on the floor as soon as the door shuts behind you, and you switch on the lights.
You can’t help it.
You laugh as you take in the big room in front of you.
Or rather, the suite.
The honeymoon suite by the looks of it. Red and white decor, candles, big bed, nicely decorated with towels shaped like a heart, and some champagne in an ice-bucket on the desk in the room. There’s a small white card right next to the champagne, which you quickly read. ‘Have fun ;) -G’. You snort at it, that woman is a menace. (But also very nice, but you do shoot her text to warn her that she should sleep with one eye open. The only response you get is a winking emoji).
A surprisingly short time later you hear the door to the suite unlock, alerting you to Aaron’s arrival where you just stepped out of the shower. He calls your name in a questioning tone, you’re quick to respond as you wrap a towel around your mostly dry form.
“In here, one sec.” You step out of the bathroom, Aaron’s attention going straight to you before pointedly looking around the room. You lean on the door frame of the bathroom.
“Garcia.” You offer as an explanation.
“Ah.” He accepts, looking around once more. “This is going to be a fun expense report.” You snort at that, pushing yourself of the door frame and walking over to him. Putting your arms around his neck, you pull him close for a kiss.
“Certainly, but let us enjoy it for now, I’m sure Garcia has an explanation locked and ready for the report when we need it.” Aaron tries not to smile at that, but is halfway to failing when you catch his lips in a kiss.
----
The next time your relationship is brought up is on the jet back when the case ends well a few days later. Everyone have found their way to pass the time as usual. Reid and Rossi are playing chess in the one of two seaters, Morgan is half asleep, JJ is typing away on her phone next to him, across from them in the aisle seat is Hotch who has started on more paper work already, and you’re laying down on the couch across from them reading a book.
Everybody is in their own little bubble, that’s until Rossi is standing in the aisle and clearing his throat. Everyone looks at him, even Derek who JJ jostles awake with an elbow. Rossi got a bottle of expensive looking whiskey in one hand, several glasses in the other.
“I believe a little celebration is in order.” He starts handing out glasses, you sit up and close your book as you accept yours, just as Garcia pops up on the screen over the couch.
“What for?” You ask, genuinely curious, giving Garcia a look trough the screen, a very grinning and happy looking Garcia.
“Well, the case went well, we saved several people, and ah yes, your not so secret relationship anymore.”
“Rossi-” You and Hotch try to say something at the same time, but Rossi doesn’t let either of you speak another word.
“Oh no no no, neither of you get to Rossi me. Just shut up and listen okay?” He pours a hefty helping of whiskey in everyone’s glass as he speaks, even Garcia got a glass back home somehow, no doubt filled with something similar.
“We just want you both to know that we are very happy for you, both of you. And though the way us knowing came about wasn’t ideal, we will always support and be there for you.” You and Hotch look around at your team, noting the happy faces watching you before making brief eye contact.
“I want you all to know that nothing in this team changes with this, we’re still going to work together and remain professional while on the clock. There will be no preferential treatment here.”
“What he said.” You incline your head towards Hotch as you look around the jet once more.
“Aaron, we know that. Like I said, we just want you both to be happy.” Rossi says, soft smile on his face. You raise your glass, trying to pretend that the slight sting you can feel in your eyes is just tiredness.
“Cheers to that.” Everyone joins in, clinking their glasses together in loud celebration and happy voices, Garcia cheering with her glass against the camera lens back home. Everyone takes a sip of the whiskey, several mentioning the smooth burn of it.
“So, how long have you two love birds been together?” Morgan eyes flicker between you and Aaron.
“See, that right there Morgan is the million dollar question.” Rossi points between you both. “Come on, out with it.” You grin, trying and failing to hide your grin behind taking another sip of the whiskey, Aaron doing the same.
“Do you want to tell them or should I?” You ask, getting up to lean on the chair Aaron is sitting in. He looks up at you, taking your hand and placing it on his shoulder.
“I think you should.”
“Okay.” You say with a shrug, looking at all of the team before settling your gaze on Spencer. “Remember the strangulation serial killer we caught in LA earlier this year?”
“We caught him and finished that case 6 months, 11 days, and 9 hours ago.” Spencer helpfully supplies.
Then it dawns on them all what that means.
Yells of surprise from everyone, and this time neither you or Aaron try to hide your matching grins. Rossi is laughing loudly while slapping his knee, Reid seems to have lost his composure, mumbling that he should have seen something sooner, Garcia is speechless for perhaps the first time since you have known her, Morgan looks frozen in shock, and JJ is trying to hide her laughter behind her hand.
“6 months? How even?!” Morgan exclaims. You shrug, your grin shit-eating by now.
“What can I say, we’re good profilers and now how to hide our tells.” You glance at Aaron and squeezes his shoulder, who in return brings your hand to his lips for a brief kiss on your knuckles. Garcia squeals from her screen, gushing over how cute the two of you are as you smile and laugh in response.

hey! see u were taking requests so i wanted one with mason related to "london boy" by taylor swift? maybe reader is a singer or something like that?
one of the best taylor swift songs imo, so of course!
𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐲 — mason mount
summary: mason shows you around london during your break, and now you don't think you can ever go back
notes: requests are open again! my asks are open.
Leaving your hometown in New York to visit the world was one of the hardest things you had to do. But you had your dream job, now it was time to follow it. Your recent album was a success, pouring your heart into it as you recovered from your breakup. Your fans had watched your relationship build, and then break apart. Hearing your side of things through 14 songs. Awards, interviews, and traction had come from it, earning you a world tour. It was a scary thing to do, considering it was your first international tour.
“I just want to come back to New York already, I’ve not been on this tour long.” You complained to your sister, curled up in a hotel bed in London. Your first destination was the UK, and there was nothing worse than being homesick.
“Quit being a baby, the UK is so nice.” Your sister replied, chuckling shortly afterwards. “Me and dad visited Manchester, I think? Very nice looking, at least where we stayed.” You sighed, knowing that didn’t make it any easier. You loved your cosy apartment in New York, you were even starting to miss the constant traffic sounds and arguing in the early hours of the morning.
“I guess, and I know London is nice, at least. I think I’m gonna interact with some fans,” you decided, pulling the duvet further up your body, “speak tomorrow at sound check.” You ended the call, liking some tweets and replying to a few things, eventually tweeting something of your own.
“Happy to see a lot of my UK fans tomorrow, can’t wait to scream my feelings out with you,” Declan read out, giving Mason a cheeky look. The pair of them were in Mason’s living room, enjoying their evening of FIFA. The boys had spoken about you plenty of times, in interviews too, Mason declaring you as his celebrity crush.
“Shut up already, she probably doesn’t even know who I am.” Mason stated, resting his arm over his eyes to conceal the blush on his face. Him, Declan and a few other boys were going to your concert tomorrow night, some of the WAGs suggested it as they loved your music.
“You think she’s not going to notice a blue tick in her dm’s? It’s worth a shot.” Declan encouraged his friend to shoot his shot, close to grabbing his phone and doing it himself, but instead he was watching Mason bashfully scroll through your twitter replies. “Do it, or I will.”
Mason sighed, clicking the reply button and typing out a reply, handing the phone to Declan to review. ‘Can’t wait, wanna see you.’
“Perfect,” Declan mumbled, pressing the reply button for him. He knew Mason never would, he just saved him 20 minutes of back and forth debate. Handing Mason his phone back, Declan smirked as he watched his friend's face change from fairly embarrassed, to shocked.
“There’s no fucking way you sent that.” Mason remarked, refreshing his phone to see his tweet attract likes. “You dick.”
Declan just laughed as Mason had turned completely red, watching the likes and replies collect under his tweet. Moments later, you’d appeared in his dm’s.
‘I recognise you.’
It was an ominous message from you, one that had you pacing and replaying the creepy message over and over again. But Mason smiled at the message, all ounces of worry leaving his body as he replied to you.
‘Oh yeah? From where?’
‘Actually, I think I recognise your teammate, Pulisic. He’s all my brother talks about sometimes. But all I know is that he plays for a soccer team.’
He laughed at your reply, Declan watching over in pure disbelief.
‘You have a lot to learn about the UK, and luckily I know all about it.’
‘I’ll hold you to that, come backstage after the show, bring whoever you’re with. I’m in London for the next few days before my next show, maybe you can show me around.’
“There’s no way you’re flirting with Y/N Y/L/N within two minutes of replying to her tweet.” Declan stated, Mason smirking at his best friend before sending another reply.
‘Bet.'
Your show was now over and you were anxiously waiting for the boys to be escorted back stage. You didn't know much about football, especially over here, but you knew the boys that were coming back stage were professionals. You'd learnt their names, Declan, Jack, and Mason. Jack and Declan brought their girlfriends along, but Mason was 'painfully single', as he put it.
Finally, as you sat down in your chair to relax, you heard a knock at the door. It was them. They had all filed in, the two girls in shock that they were meeting you. You'd given them all a hug, and gotten to Mason. He looked down at you as you pulled him in, squeezing you tightly before letting you go again.
"Did you guys enjoy it?" You asked, ushering them to the couch for them to sit down. You wanted them to feel as comfortable as possible, rushing over to your dressing room fridge and pulling out some drinks.
"It was amazing," Sasha gawked, still in awe over seeing you for the first time, "we saw you have one in Birmingham in a few weeks, so we're going to that one too." You blushed, returning to your seat opposite the couch.
"That's so sweet! I'm sure I can get you some good tickets, I'll dm you on Instagram or something." You suggested to her, Sasha eagerly nodding her head. You conversed with the group of five, Mason giving you a particular look that you had mirrored back to him. You planned on getting his number, and making sure he showed you around London.
Soon enough, the group was heading back to wherever they were staying, as it was beginning to get quite late. "Thank you guys for coming, and I'm so glad I met you."
Mason stayed behind, folding his arms and sharing a smirk with you as his friends voices trailed down the hallway. "So, about this bet."
"Yeah," you replied casually, grabbing your water bottle from the table and taking a sip, being in the presence of an attractive man again was giving you quite the nerves, "I'll take your number, because I'd love to get to know London." He nodded, grabbing his phone from his jacket pocket and handing it to you.
"Perfect. See you."
You and Mason had planned your first meeting in a pub. It wasn't the classiest of places, but your plan was to get to know the UK. Mason had ordered you both a drink, guessing what you like and nailing it when you went in for a second sip and shoved a thumb up.
"So," he began, fiddling with the coaster his beer sat on, "how long are you in London for?"
"Just until Thursday, Friday morning I'm heading to Manchester." You stated, realising you only had four days with Mason, including today.
"Well, we better make the days count then." Mason declared. The pair of you spoke about his career as well as yours, talking about how different school was for the pair of you. Mason had stood up, holding his hand out for you to take, and you'd accepted it without complaint. He led you out of the pub and through the town center, gazing at the stalls set up around you. The weather wasn't so different to New York, both constantly dreary, but you were liking London so far.
On your second day together, you'd taken a cab to another town, this time to just experience the busy streets. To Mason, this was normal. For you, it was only familiar. New York was one of the busiest cities in the world, but London was different, better in every other way. You'd finished your day together, stomachs full of pub food, and in the back of a cab, rain pattering on the windows. You'd shuffled closer to Mason, placing your hand on his and squeezing. He looked at you briefly, smiling his usual smile, before quickly looking out at the street in an effort to hide his tinged cheeks.
Day three, the weather was too bad to do anything. But Mason kept you company in your hotel room. He'd taught you a bunch of British slang, laughing as your accent completely butchered them all. You'd shown him a snippet of your new song before room service had arrived. And the night ended with the pair of you collapsed in your bed, tv playing in the back ground, but your eyes on each other. It was like pure magic, the long-awaited feeling of his lips on yours. You'd been thinking about it all day, missing every opportunity until now.
Your final day was the worst. You both knew it was coming, you wouldn't see him until you had a break, and he had one too. You both had stupidly busy schedules, as well as living in different countries. Maybe one day you could bring him to New York, show him your side of life. And maybe one day you'll branch out and move here.
Mason had helped you carry your things out of your hotel room, which was taking you to Manchester. Your manager had texted you to be in the car before 3, which meant you had just 10 minutes until you had to say goodbye to Mason for a while.
You were stood in the foyer of the hotel, waiting for the car to arrive. You'd secretly hoped it didn't, you wanted to stay with Mason for a while longer, but you couldn't. Duty called.
"Thank you for showing me around London," you spoke, looking up at Mason, who was hiding his deflated feelings, "I really enjoyed it, I might even prefer it to New York."
"That's a given. I'm here." He joked, in an obvious attempt to lighten the mood. These four days had been immense fun for him, different to how he usually spent his days. Different than night at home alone, different than a night on the town. Was it too soon to say he missed you?
Mason looked down at you as you clung to his side, hoping he felt the same way you did. And he did, you just didn’t know that. His fingers slid across your jaw slowly, pulling your chin up to look at him. It was an intense moment, so many different emotions. He’d leaned in and kissed you, it was his parting gift. To say that he’d see you soon enough.
“Enjoy Manchester, I’m sure I can fit another show in somehow.” Mason spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. “I’ll miss you.”
“I’ll miss you too.” You spoke, the car pulling up outside. He’d dragged your suitcases out to the car, popping them in the boot for you. Finally, he stared at you through the window, which you quickly rolled down. “I fancy you, is that the right term?”
Mason laughed, head tipping back slightly. “Yeah, it is. And I fancy you too.”

the words left unsaid pt.3
Wanda x reader x Natasha
Part 1 Part 2
Warning: Angst, drinking, and talk of depression
Word count: 2800
A/N: This is finale to the series. It took me forever to finish it because I got busy and writers block be that bitch. Thanks for reading and I hope you guys enjoy.
---
The next 3 months of your life were one of the darkest loneliest times of your life. Everyone went their separate ways after that day in the hospital. No call. No text. Each person just as stubborn as the next.
The ache in your heart grew as you thought about the moment in the quinjet with Natasha. You had made a promise never to leave her, but she said nothing about leaving you.
You laid in bed staring at the ceiling, unaware of what time it was since you hadn’t gotten up at all. If you could guess, it was probably past dinner time from the lack thereof sunlight.
You really couldn’t feel much of anything right now, you kind of just existed, if you could even call it that. All you knew was how numb you were and maybe you should consider getting up at some point to at least pretend you’re alive.
After some time, you reluctantly got out of bed finally. Once you were vertical, a quick rush of dizziness fell upon you from all the fatigue. You flipped on the light switch of the bathroom and nearly scared yourself at the horrible state you were in. Your skin pale and lifeless. Eyes tired and dark.
“Fuck…”
Suddenly, there was a knock at your door. Walking towards your front door you grabbed the gun hidden in your hallway. You turned the safety off and cautiously looked through the peephole.
“Yoohoo! Big summer blowout!”
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” you muttered putting your gun down before opening the door.
“Long time no see, I see you got your Halloween costume early. Let me guess… Jack Skellington?!”
“Fuck off Tony.”
“I love you too,” he says pushing his way into your apartment. “Yeesh, could you get any more depressing?”
“Yeah,” you replied not having much energy to talk.
“What crawled up your ass, sour puss?”
“It’s called mental illness. Why don’t you look it up and humble yourself for once?” You replied crossing your arms becoming annoyed by his presence.
“Nah, probably will just make me depressed. Hey, I got an idea, come to my party tonight.”
“Fuck no,” you answered without a question, walking back to your bedroom.
“Great, be ready in 10. The party doesn’t start until I arrive,” he clapped and went to sit on your couch.
---
Once you both arrived, you made a beeline towards the bar, barely sparing a glance at the friends you hadn’t seen in over three months. After a questionable number of shots, you finally felt airy enough to distract yourself with some dancing. With your drink in hand, you glided over to the dance floor, moving with the beat of the music. Your stomach was buzzing in the warmth and your mind as finally at ease.
“So, she’s alive.” A rather annoying voice remarked.
“Sadly,” you clicked your teeth.
“We were all worried about you, you know?” He said leaning against the bar to look at you.
“Don’t waste your energy, I know many have,” you replied sipping your drink and turning your head to look Clint in the eyes. “Missed you at Tony’s wedding.”
“I had an important mission, Stark understood,” he brushed off. “I liked it better when you were less gloomy, you were funnier.”
“Ohh Barton, you flatter me,” you say dramatically with a chuckle.
“She left for a good reason,” he said abruptly, changing the tone.
“And what would that reason be, Barton? Because it seems a lot like, to me, she dipped once things got serious. She didn’t even give me a chance to explain…”
“It’s better if she tells you herself,” he said putting a hand on your shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.
During those months apart, you had tried desperately to call, text, email even. You never got a response. Tears welled up in your eyes every night as the days went on without her. Soon the tears turned into anguish as the tears turned into screams into your pillow.
“Is she coming tonight?” You asked almost too desperately. Even through the sadness and betrayal you felt, there was a sliver of hope left. You sounded almost like a child, alone and vulnerable.
“No… I’m taking you to her,” he replied surprising you.
You took a deep breath and drank the rest of your drink in one gulp and turned to look at him. “Okay, I’m ready.”
The drive there was reminiscent of the drive to the diner. The only difference being you were headed out the city. Neither of you bothered talking, in the car, the careful silence between you two felt comfortable. Soft classics on the radio accompanied you both.
Before you knew it you were driving through a forest. Large homes surrounded by large collections of trees, providing the privacy of the forest. Clint pulled up to a driveway of a home, you assumed was the one Natasha had picked out. It was a stunning home that had a mix of modern and traditional, something you thought suited Nat well.
You both got out of the car and walked towards the front door. Clint took the lead, and you admired the architecture. Internally, so many questions started popping up in your head. You started to wonder if she found someone else and finally settled down like she deserved. In a way, you never were together, so you couldn’t find it in yourself to be mad at her if she did. You furrowed your brow at the thought once you got to the door.
“It’s not what you think,” he said reassuring you before ringing the doorbell.
An excruciating silence took over after the bell rang. Once the door opened and Natasha stepped into view, she still managed to take your breath away. Her hair was pulled back into a light bun, and she wore a simple shirt and leggings with a long-knit cardigan. She looked so relaxed and although her face did not show it, you could see it in her eyes she was happy.
It felt so bittersweet for you, to see her as she’s never been before. With that, you felt the heavy urge to turn back around and leave, never to return. You loved her so much, you never wanted to be the one to ruin her happiness, even over the sake of your own.
“Thought, I was going to be the one to talk to them,” she said cocking her head towards Clint.
“And you are! I just wanted to help speed things along,” Clint defended with his hand up.
“Look, I don’t want to intrude. I think this is a clear enough message,” you said starting to retreat back. As you attempted to leave, Natasha was quick to grasp your arm and keep you.
“It’s really not what you think,” she said firmly, staring into your eyes.
“You guys keep saying that, but when is there going to be some explaining?”
“Natty, can I have a cookie?” You heard a small child ask her from inside the house. When Natasha turned her back to look at the child, it gave you room to see a little boy no older than ten years old. He was the spitting image of Natasha. Bright red hair and gorgeous green eyes to match her. There was no doubt, he was her son.
“I got it, Nat,” Clint said walking past her towards the boy. “Hi Ant, how about hot chocolate and cookies?” Clint said mischievously at the boy.
“Yeah!” Together they walked towards the kitchen, to give you both time to talk.
“Not too much sugar!” Natasha called out before giving her attention back to you.
“A son, huh?” You said awkwardly, giving her a crooked smile.
“I- yeah… Come in?” She asked softly as her hand on her arm slide down to hold your hand. She tugged softly, looking as you with conflict swirling in her eyes.
You didn’t give her a reply, but you complied with her request, following her inside. You hadn’t expected the interior to be so homely. It was a stark contrast to the room she had in the tower.
Following her, she led you to the living room and you sat on the couch.
“Do you want anything to drink?” She asked still standing and nervously playing with her fingers.
“No, I’m okay thanks,” you replied shaking your head. Natasha sat next to you on the couch and turned slightly to face you. There was a tense silence after that, Natasha didn’t look at you, but you were watching her intently.
“How are you doing?” She asked looking at you expectantly. The mundane question was like nails on a chalkboard. You didn’t even bother to answer her, the look on your face said it all. “I’m sorry, stupid question.”
“You’re never one to nervous Nat. I’m flattered, you still care about what I think,” you replied almost uninterested in this conversation.
“Of course, I do. I love you,” she said slightly offended.
“Yes, because you make me promise not to leave you and then do exactly that, all because you love me, right?”
“I deserved that,” she replied solemnly. “I- um, after I stormed out that day in the hospital, I realized I was being childish and decided to come back to let you explain, but when I got to the door, I heard what you said,” she explained sniffling.
“Oh you…,” you trailed off, looking away from her ashamed.
“Yeah…” Natasha pulled her bottom lip in between her teeth and sighed. “But at that point I was already looking for Anatoly.”
“So, he’s yours,” you breathed out, leaning back into the couch. It was like a lock and key moment, everything started to make sense. “Every time there was a mission with children you were always more attached, and I never understood why, until now.”
Natasha nodded her head, staring down at her fingers.
“Were you just hiding him this whole time? All of this? I mean I can’t say I’m surprised when your best friend is Clint. The guy pulled his whole ass family out of a hat, that one time,” you voiced gesturing toward the direction of the birdman.
“Yes and no. When I was in the red room, I was the top of my class. A scientist got a hold of some super soldier DNA, and they wanted to see if they could make an even stronger widow. So, when I was fifteen, I got pregnant with Anatoly. But I didn’t want them to have him, so I found a nice couple that had been looking to adopt. I made sure they could never find him. “ She said tears threatening to fall from her eyes. “But last year, I found out that the couple I left him with died in a car accident, and he was thrown into system. I couldn’t leave him there Y/N,” she said as a tear drop escaped her eye.
“Nat, why didn’t you tell me? I would have understood,” you said pulling her into your arms and rubbing her arm soothingly. Natasha sat up and pulled away at your question.
“Every time, I was going to I just froze, and when I confessed my feelings for you, it just got more complicated. I didn’t want you to think of me any differently. I don’t know, he’s not something I even told Clint about until recently.”
“So, was that mission during Stark’s wedding…?” You inquired connecting the dots. She nodded in confirmation. “Natalia, I would never think of you differently. What they did to you, doesn’t change what or who you are in my eyes,” you said squeezing her thigh comfortingly.
“Okay,” she said not meeting your gaze. You could tell she wasn’t really convinced by your words, so you brought your hand up to her chin and turned her face to meet yours.
“Quand on est aimé on ne doute de rien. Quand on aime, on doute de tout (When we are loved, we doubt nothing. When we love, we doubt everything),” you quoted staring deeply into her eyes before gently pulling her toward you. Your lips melted into a passionate kiss, filling your once cold body into the warmth of her affections. Natasha’s hand went to your side, pulling you in deeper as if she was trying to savor this moment.
When you gently pulled away, your foreheads touched, both lavishing in the intimate moment you just shared. “Doubt nothing my love, because my love for you is pure.”
“But I don’t want to change you, Y/N. He is my son, and I will not abandon him again. I don’t want you to resent us,” she said closing her eyes and turning her head away.
You sighed. “I just know that I can’t trust myself raising a child after all I’ve been through. I don’t want to pass on my own trauma because he’s too good for that,” you said shaking your head.
“You don’t have to raise him, Y/N. I would never force you into a position to be his parent. That’s not what I’m asking. I’m just asking you to try,” she said with her hand gently caressing your neck, her eyes searching for an answer.
“I don’t know, Natalia. Regardless, I would be an important figure in his life.”
“We can end it if you think it’s too much for you. I just love you both and I don’t want to choose,” she pleaded with her eyes watering.
“Do you know his father?” You sighed not answering her question.
“No, they never said and there are no records of him. If one day Anatoly decides he wants to know who his father is, I won’t stop him, but right now I don’t think it matters.” She reasoned shifting in her seat.
Finally, you meet her gaze, “can I meet him?” You asked. At first your question shocked her, but then she realized you were serious and nodded her head.
“He knows I’m him mom, but he hasn’t called me mom yet,” she explains as she leads you to the kitchen. You nodded in acknowledgment as you arrived at your destination. “Anatoly, I want you to meet my friend, Y/N,”
“Hi Y/N, do you want a cookie?” He asked with a giant smile on his face.
“You really know the way to a person’s heart don’t you kid?” You chuckled accepting his offer.
Natasha pulled you in by the waist and pressed a soft kiss on your cheek and whispered a ‘thank you’ at the interaction.
---
The following months were like a dream to you. Every week, you and Natasha would go on a date, switching off for the other’s choosing. After an appropriate amount of time had passed, Natasha decided to tell Anatoly that you were her partner and her couldn’t have been happier. Although, there was no change in the relationship with the boy, if anything you were confused why he never asked if you were going to be his new mommy or daddy. He always just called you Y/N and you were more than grateful for that.
As things became more serious, you both decided it would be a good idea for you move in with her, since you slept there most nights anyway. So, today you were finishing up packing your things in your apartment.
“Hey, thanks for coming by. I packed up a few of your things, I found in this box,” you said grabbing the box once you saw her in the doorway.
“So, it’s all true,” Wanda said in a half question have statement tone.
“Yes. Um listen Wanda, I’m sorry for how I treated you. You never deserved my cowardice,” you said truthfully.
“If they wanted to, they would,” she scoffed under her breath. Wanda took the box from you and held it against her hip. “You said you never wanted kids, but that’s not the whole truth, you just never wanted them with me.”
“He’s not my son. She had him way before any of us even met. I still don’t want kids and she’s happy with that,” you argued in defense.
“Have a great life, Y/N,” she emphasized bitterly.
Wanda turned and walked out the door, leaving you speechless. You watched her leave, regretting how poorly the conversation went, but you weren’t left to dwell on that for long as Natasha and Ant show up.
“Everything alright, babe?” Natasha asked referring to the woman that had just exited your apartment.
“Yeah, it could have gone better, but everything is alright,” you said wrapping your arms around her waist.
“Hey Y/N, can I have this? Please,” Anatoly asked with his best puppy dog eyes, holding up your Stitch pillow pet.
“No, you brat. Stitch is off limits.” You said earning a smack to the back of your head from your lover.
“But we’re besties. Sharing is caring,” he whined.
“Who said I care about you?” You cocked your head back.
“Y/N,” Nat warned.
“Kidding, kid. Leave Stitch alone and I’ll buy you a new toy,” you offered earning a huff from Nat.
“Deal!” He cheered.

Where's my love Pt.2 (d.s.)
Tumblr media
 9:27am
“Hello,” Daniel rubbed his dreary eyes with the back of his hand, holding his phone between his ear and shoulder tightly as he lifted an energetic Kobe up to his chest.
“Hi Daniel, it’s me, Victoria.”
Daniel took a second to recall who this person was. Victoria, he whispered to himself, finally remembering that she was one of Y/n’s work friends. A smile smeared across his lips slowly, and his eyes lit up with a small glimmer of hope that Y/n would just be at work, and she’d be safe...and warm...and okay. “Oh, hey! You work with Y/n, right? Is she at work right now?” He asked, trying to tone down the sudden excitement laced in his voice.
“Actually, that’s why I called. She didn’t come to the office yesterday, or today.” Her voice was quiet, and despite only hearing her voice through the phone, Daniel could sense her worry. He tried to ignore the pit in his stomach.
“W-what? No, no. There’s no way.” He stammered. “She went to work yesterday.” He clenched his jaw tightly.
“No, she didn’t...Look, I just wanted to ask, next time you talk to her, can you tell her I called?”
Daniel nodded. He didn’t have the guts to tell Victoria he hadn’t seen Y/n in more than a day and he simply let out a “yeah.” in reply.
“I’m just a little worried is all.”
“Yeah,” Daniel nodded again, “I’ll tell her.”
“Great, thank you Daniel. She’s lucky to have you.”
He didn’t even try to mutter out a steady reply before hanging up the phone. He tapped on Y/n’s number and waited impatiently as the phone rang, ultimately going to voicemail after a few long seconds. Daniel didn’t know what to do with himself. With the new information he’d just been told he tried to piece together where Y/n might’ve gone but...nothing. His mind went blank, and he shamed himself for it quietly as he paced the living room. Christian’s door opened rather silently and padded from his bedroom to the kitchen, catching a glimpse of his brother.
“Hey, Daniel.” Daniel looked over his shoulder. “What’s up?” He took a shaky deep breath before speaking. “Y/n’s missing.” “What?” “She’s gone. I haven’t seen her since yesterday and her co-worker called me, and she wasn’t at work yesterday or today and I literally have no idea where she could be. What should I do?” Daniel rushed out, scaring himself even more as stared at his older brother, awaiting his reply. The two boys shared identical panic-stricken faces.
“Do you wanna call the police?” Christian asked gingerly.
Daniel chucked humourlessly. “Y-you don’t think she’s actually in danger, right?” He answered the question himself. “No, no. Sh- she wouldn-” “Look, we should call them just in case, just to make sure.” Christian assured, walking back towards his bedroom to retrieve his phone.
Daniel stopped in front of him and walked backwards, closer to the front door. “No, I can find her. I will find her. Don’t call!” Christian barely had time to at least compromise with his younger brother before the door slammed with a loud thud. Daniel was rushing out towards his car with his keys laced in his fingers and untied sneakers nearly slipping off his feet
The studio came into view as Daniel took his usual right turn - almost speeding - towards the contemporary style building. He knew it was far away from Y/n’s workplace, which was where he planned to drive next, but he always needed his best friends. Especially today.
The automatic door gaped open as he rushed into the studio, running down the corridor that was lined with multiple studio rehearsal rooms. Daniel’s eyes flickered towards the window to look at his bandmates around their microphones and instruments. He swung the door open.
“Hey,” Daniel started, lifting his gaze to his friends sitting on the mini sofas around the sound board. “Guys?” The overlap of voices that lingered in the room and the background plucking and strumming and playing of instruments sent him into overwhelm. “Everybody shut up!” Daniel hardly ever yelled, but when he did, it was more etched with stress than anger and the rise in his tone startled the boys working in the studio. They looked over their shoulders to peer at Daniel, who had a hopeless frown on his face and eyes shimmering with tears. “Daniel? Hey, we missed you this morning.” Corbyn chuckled gently, placed his guitar down to lean on a nearby chair and walked towards the doorway.
Daniel stayed still, suddenly the reality of it all settled right there. “We need to go find her.” They boys knew what Daniel was talking about and they all exchanged concerned glances with each other before turning back to the fearful boy in front of them.
“Like now. We need to go now, come on!” He gestured to his car outside.
“Okay,” Jonah said, getting up as he grabbed his car keys. It took a little convincing from their management and other members of their team, but the boys did ultimately get permission to leave rehearsal early. The boys all followed Daniel’s request and headed out of the studio. Since Daniel was basically brimming with worry, Jonah suggested he should drive as they looked for Y/n.
The car of concerned boys wandered the streets and roads with furrowed brows and narrowed eyes, peering out in hope that Y/n would be found. Daniel raked a quick hand through his hair. “God. I hope we find her,” Daniel melted further into his chair tiredly. “Can you drive faster?” he breathed. He knew Jonah couldn’t, but panic was running high, and he had no idea what to do with himself.
Daniel’s gaze drifted out the window, and he kept his chin in his palm as he thought for a moment. “We gotta go to the beach.” Daniel said, glancing towards Jonah in the driver’s seat beside him. “Y/n loves the beach.” Despite the long car ride so far, the boys didn’t argue with him one bit. They all knew first-hand what it was like to feel that heart wrenching fear and concern that emerged when texts or calls go unanswered. Of course they all loved Y/n dearly, but they could’ve never imagined just how terrible Daniel was feeling.
Daniel was right about Y/n. She was at the beach; a place she appreciated devotedly and always went when she wasn’t feeling like herself. The beach looked dozy as it rested in the afternoon glow. Y/n always liked it that way, where the rich blue surface rose and fell easily or where the sun illuminated the clouds with thin streams of light. Y/n ambled along the sandy shore, slowly at first. Hesitant. She took agile steps towards the sea that ebbed ever so gently beneath her feet.
The band got to the beach not long after. Jonah stealthily parked the car on the edge of the curb. They had no idea where Y/n was yet, let alone that she had plunged deeper into the freezing water. And Y/n, was utterly clueless to the boys that were on the razor’s edge of panic only a few metres away from her.
The coldness of the water stung her skin, futile compared to the sting of melancholy in her heart. The sea was like an icebreaker to her, and from there Y/n found it easier to wade across the water despite its aggressive waves pushing her towards the shore again and again.
Daniel leaned his arms on the front of the car and leaned over to look for her from his spot on the pier. He was casting his eyes warily, straining to any sounds with eyes and ears.
“She’s over there!” Corbyn called after hearing her feeble sobs from across the beach. He pulled at Daniel’s shirt so they could run over to her together. Daniel’s whole body shot up at Corbyn’s words but before he could even stumble out any words, the little, slightly blurred image of Y/n knee deep in the water made his blood run cold and he felt a wave of...something rush over him. Corbyn, Daniel and Jonah called Y/n’s name profusely as they clambered down to the beach towards Y/n. Jack and Zach lingered near the shore, shaken and scared.
“Y/n!” Daniel yelled, wading through the relentless water as fast as he could to get to her. “Y/n! Baby?! Come here!”
Sorrowful body-shaking sobs racked Y/n’s body, weakened by her walking, each coming in a wave, and she let out soft whimpers. There was no doubt that Daniel was crying too. He let his tears roll down his face and drop into the water as he got closer to Y/n.
“Hey, hey, hey...” He repeated quietly, finally able to get a hold of her. Y/n clung onto him limply and Daniel wrapped his arms around her, as sure as the sun shining down on them. Y/n couldn’t focus on much. The overwhelming hovering birds orbiting around her or the splashing of water against her skin filled her cloudy mind. “I’m sorry!” Y/n sobbed, “I’m so-sorry!” her sorrowful apologies infused with the crashing waves and surging tide. “I thought it would make me happy, Dani. I didn’t make me happy…. I-it didn’t make me happy she repeated.
“It’s okay, it’s okay.” Daniel repeated. “You’re okay,”
Y/n’s voice was thick with tears and Daniel tried his best to wipe them away. Corbyn and Jonah were right at her side too. Their hands hovered over her back and arms just in case her or Daniel needed that extra help. They all walked towards the shoreline silently.
---
The car ride was silent. Y/n was cuddled up comfortably in a cocoon of Daniel’s sweater, Corbyn’s jacket and a small blanket that Jonah found in his trunk - tending to Y/n was a team effort - and despite scaring the boys to death, she was glad to feel the sense of warmth and love that mingled with their wary supervision. Particularly Daniel. And she felt awful that she made him feel the way he did. She kept her gaze out of the window and let her mind drift to thoughts of sleeping in his warm bed when they’d get home. The security and cosiness of it all was comforting and she let her cool face lean against the glass to warm under the sun that cascaded down through the car windows.
No matter how hard he tried not to, Daniel couldn’t stop blaming himself for what had happened that afternoon, barely an hour ago. He sat stiffly in the driver’s seat, his knuckles white from the cold water and the lingering glint of panic present in his eyes. The roads shimmered in the midday sun and the city buildings stood tall, piercing the blue sky as they sparkled in the distance. The faraway horizon was a feast for the eyes, but Daniel didn’t care. The world was all a blur to him, and the only view his eyes would focus on was the one right in the seat beside him.
When they arrived back at his place, Daniel noticed Christian through the front window as he parked the car. He was standing right near the foyer with Kobe held securely in his arms. Daniel smiled to himself and glimpsed towards Y/n before he hopped out of his side of the car. As he walked around to her side, Y/n let her eyes linger on his figure trudging across the front of the car, particularly his tired, red eyes, either from crying or lack of sleep. She gazed at him as he opened her door.
Daniel pressed a hand to her back with his hands gently holding hers as she stepped out. Y/n sighed tiredly as her feet hit the ground and she felt his protective hands upon her rosy cheeks, “You alright?”
Y/n nodded. He pressed a kiss to the same spot without a word and let his forehead rest against hers.
“Y/n,” Christian breathed as they walked through the door, guiding the clueless dog away from her as he scrambled around her excitedly. His paws tapped lightly on the wooden floors and Y/n dropped her gaze at the gentle sound, pulling a smile towards the wide eyed puppy that hadn’t seen her in a couple days. She looked back at Christian. “Hey, Chris.” She spoke gently. Daniel kept his hand placed behind her back and he shared concerned glances with his older brother.
“We should get you to bed now, Y/n.” Daniel whispered gently, linking his arm in hers as they walked to his bedroom.
“Have a good sleep, my love, okay?”
Y/n nodded. “Okay,” she held out her hand to hold Daniel’s, and he placed it lazily over hers, bending down to press a kiss to her hair as she kissed his knuckles gently. “M’kay, I love you.” He threaded his fingers through a strand of her hair before pulling away. “I’ll just be in the living room.” He assured her.
---
3:32pm
“Here you go,” Daniel turned around to Y/n, “your pancakes...or what I call, little bits of happiness.” Daniel beamed towards her the best he could and placed the plate on the tabletop.
“You think I could get about a thousand of those right now?” She joked. “The...happiness, I mean.” She let a gentle smile tug at the corners of her lips as she spoke. It was a small smile, but a real one.
“There’s my girl,” Daniel whispered. He rested his forearms on the counter and leaned in closer to dust his thumb over her cheek. “There’s my happy girl…” His quiet voice wavered between them and he finally let the tears in his baby blue eyes drop onto the counter.
Y/n’s heart virtually broke as she watched him cry and sniffle silently. She dropped her fork and cupped his face in her hands. “No, no, Daniel...” Y/n’s voice lowered in sadness and with best efforts, she tried to continue steadily for both their sakes. “I’m okay, I’m okay, really.” She rushed out, lifting Daniel’s limp chin upwards to meet her eyes.
“Why did you do that?”
Daniel’s strong words echoed inside her like a ripple of guitar strings. She thought for a moment, dropping her hands back to her plate of pancakes. “I don’t know...I don’t know what I was thinking.” Daniel didn’t answer. Her genuine response didn’t seem to heal the intense, aching hurt that lingered in his heart from the hours before.
Y/n sighed before continuing, “I’m...I-I feel like I’m being pulled into different directions...I can’t deal with it all! I’m just getting overwhelmed with school and work..,and you’re always busy,”
“I knew it. This was all my fault.” Daniel sighed, lifting his hands up in front of his face.
“No, no. It’s not, none of it is. You are the sweetest, kindest guy I know and it’s not your fault I did...that,” Y/n said quickly.
“We-were you trying to…” Daniel pressed his fingers to the nape of his nose before his tears could fall again. He took a shaky inhale before continuing, but Y/n did it for him.
“No, I wasn’t…trying to hurt myself.” She said honestly. “I just need a break from…”
“Us?” Daniel asked quietly.
“No,” she said strongly, meeting his gaze with a subtle smile. “I need you more than anything right now. I just...need a break from work, and maybe school.”
“Okay,” Daniel’s eyes misted over again as he spoke. “Don’t ever feel like you need to hide things from me, okay? I love you. And when you need to talk and I say I’m busy and all that, you let me know that you need to talk, okay? We can talk whenever you want.”
“Okay,” She muttered with a smile.
Daniel lifted her chin up to look at him. “I know this won’t all go away, but it’s a start.”
“Yeah, it’s a start.”

"Is this color too moody?" You asked your neighbors cat that was lounging in your living room.
The midnight black ball of fur lazily blinked open his eyes long enough to croak out a "meow" before going back to sleep. Your head nodded in agreement as your 5th beer bottle of the day pressed against your lips.
"No, you're right. It's allowed to be moody." You agreed with the very large, very old, cat who always wandered over to your apartment. His owner, Ms. Thompson, gladly let you babysit him for a few days after she came to your door to find him the first night. Your blood shot, tear filled eyes when you answered the door, fully gave away the fact you'd been crying for the last few hours.
A bowl of Tupperware with hot chicken noodle soup laid on your doorstep the next morning along with the first gorgeous bouquet of flowers.
It had been four days since your break up with Harry and Florence. Four days of sleepless nights, alcohol filled days, and meaningless activities to keep your mind off how you were feeling.
Four vases of flowers that you couldn't bring yourself to throw away sat on your cluttered counter. The delicate petals were starting to turn brown around the edges from your lack of care. The notes on each one seemed to glare at you everytime you walked to your fridge to grab another drink.
Each one a variation of, "I'm so sorry. -H"
"When we broke up it was for totally different reasons. I wanted to raise the kids Jewish; you wanted to sleep with men." Debra Messings' voice and the horrible laugh track of 'Will and Grace' filled your lonely apartment. Your comfort show played on repeat. The same jokes, the same voices, the same fucking void in your heart.
It'd be four days and you felt like you were a second away from losing mind.
And sure, maybe, you could have called them. You could have said you overreacted and that you messed up so badly. Instant regret hit you as soon as you had walked out his door.
You'd get over it, get over them but it didn't seem to be as easy as you originally thought.
Everything reminded you of them.
"Love this one." Harry said the last time he'd spend the night with you. Your favorite record played softly in the background when he placed the needle down on it.
"Oh, this is one of my favorite episodes!" Flor cheered as she ran out of your kitchen to the living room at the sound of a 'Friends' episode starting.
"Got yeh this when I was out today." Harry handed you a dumb pen holder. A small Julius Caesar that had pens jetting out of his back.
"Take this before you freeze." Florence mumbled as she moved your blanket slightly off Harry and towards you while you all cuddled in your bed.
Everything that reminded you of them had been boxed off, separated, put away somewhere else until you could look at it again. You were left in an almost barren house that no longer felt like a home, with a cat, that wasn't even yours, sleeping on your coffee table that was littered with empty beer bottles. All while you drunkenly painted your walls at 2 in the afternoon.
How did shit get this bad?
The sound of a knock at your door called you out of your mind. An instant sinking feeling started in your chest as you walked across the floor. The wave of alcohol that ran through your system calmed some of the nerves but not all of them.
They wouldn't show up here, right?
You could feel the sweat starting on your hand as it rested on the doorknob. Another knock came from the other side of the door made you jump in your skin.
"You haven't answered your phone in four days! Open up!" One of your brothers yelled from the hallway as his fist pounded on your door. You rolled your eyes as you stood there debating if you could avoid him. Your plan to stay as quiet as possible quickly went to shit.
"Y/N, do not make me call dad." Your other brother, the one who's slightly fucking scary, voice boomed through your door like it wasn't even there.
You threw your door open to the absolute shit show that was your family. All four dumbass brothers stood outside of your apartment door. All four let out a simultaneous sigh of relief before walking into your very messy apartment.
"Jesus." Jason, the youngest, breathed out when the smell of alcohol hit him right in the face. His nose scrunched as his worried eyes flashed over the room.
"Did you drink an entire liquor store?" Tommy, the one you were closest to, asked as he scanned the damage done to your living room and what the hell you'd been doing to your liver the last four days.
"Shut up." You mumbled as you sat down on the floor, the couch was deemed unusable by you until further notice. Way, way, too many memories on that dumb thing.
Raphael's lips pursed as he studied the new living room color. He didn't even bother to hide the fact he was judging your meltdown as he turned to you.
You two were the closest in age. You were only 6 months older, and were both adopted at the same time. It definitely didn't make getting along as children necessarily easy. The both of you butted heads so much the other 3 acted more like referees than siblings. Which is why the room seemed to shift dramatically as he turned to you.
"So, you stonewall your way out of a relationship and then ignore everyone who checks on you?"
"Here we fucking go." Jack, the middle child and probably the most sensible brother groaned as he sat down cross-legged on the floor. His head rested in his hand as he stroked Marshmallow's black fur.
"Hey! We said we weren't going to bring you if you started a fight." Tommy snapped right before Jason interrupted.
"He has a point, Tomás."
"Like you haven't had your heartbroken."
"She's the one in the wrong!"
"No she isn't!"
"You can't defend her forever. She has to own up to her shit."
You groaned, your head laid back as you listened to them argue about you, right in front of you.
There wasn't enough alcohol in the world to deal with this.
"Get out." You said as you stood from your place on the floor, all eyes darted to you as you demanded for your own space.
"Wait, what?" Tommy asked as the rest of them looked at you like you had magically grown three heads.
"I said, get out. I'm not listening to this. You guys want to fight, go to dad's." You opened your front door, held it wide open for all of them to filter out. Each one gave a sad or sympathetic smile as they left.
"Y/N, I think you should really give them anoth-" Jack tried to reason with you before you shut the front door, hard. The slam echoed through your now quiet apartment as you stood there yet again, alone.
>>>
Your hooded eyes stared at the same spot on your ceiling. Your back rested on the cold hardwood floor of your wrecked living room. Your head swam with a fuzziness that only happens when you spend too many days on a bender.
You were fucked and your heart, your soul, hurt in a way you didn't think was possible.
You could feel the prick of tears starting again in your eyes as your mind ran over everything. The good times, the bad, the moment you wished you could take back.
Why did you leave that damn house? You could have at least let him explain.
You sighed as you sat up. The uncomfortable feeling of the room spinning only got worse as you shifted forward to grab the drink you'd poured earlier. The glass pressed against your dried out lips as the same laugh reel ran in the background.
Was this your life now? You wondered as you sat on that cold floor of your apartment. You used to be okay with nights like these. You used to be fine being alone.
Now, the silence felt like a stab to the gut.
Your phone that laid on the table vibrated non-stop. The worried texts of people who loved you flooded your phone, you were worried about you too but you couldn't admit it.
Why did this hurt so bad?
Was it because you'd never experienced a loss like this before?
Or was it because deep down, shut away in the corner of your mind you dared to never go to, you knew exactly how you felt about them? And it scared the shit out of you.
You gulped down the rest of your drink. Not wanting to begin the vicious cycle of why you were so quick to give up on them. Why you were so determined to leave before any explanation could be given.
Fucking hell, you needed therapy.
Your shaky legs walked over to the TV, turning off the reruns. Your glass placed on the edge of your coffee table as you made your way to your bathroom. A hot shower would always fix everything.
The stream of warm water pounded against your back as you sat in your bathtub. Your mind fluttered around the idea of taking a job that required you to permanently leave the country for a while. Maybe you could fall in love with a nice coast side in Italy or a small Cafe in France.
You didn't notice the sound of your front door opening or the footsteps in your apartment. Your eyes were already so heavy. The steam of the shower only made the low lullaby of sleeper louder in your mind.
Sleep and everything will be better.
>>>
You woke up the next morning in your bed. The bright sun burned your eyes as you blinked away the foggy feeling of sleep that still lingered around you. Your brain felt like a pile of mush as you reached for the bottle of water you kept on your side table.
How did you even get to bed?
The last few days had blurred together into a muddy picture. Everything jumbled together; drinks, painting, TV, organizing your kitchen, looking at apartments in foreign countries online.
"Morning!" Your brother chirped happily as he walked into your room.
You could have literally jumped out of your skin. You screamed, loudly, almost falling out of the bed.
"What the fuck!"
"I came back last night and you were asleep in the shower!" He said like you were the dumb one. "A thank you would be nice."
"Why are you in my apartment?" You asked, but only received the blankest of stares back. You knew why he was here. "I don't want to hear it."
"Too bad. Obviously, you need to hear it 'cause your apartment smells like a bar and you haven't talked to anyone in almost a week." He shrugged as he sat on the edge of your bed. The black ball of fur you'd eventually have to give back to your neighbor wasn't far behind him. Small black paws circled around you before he found a place to sleep comfortably.
"This sucks." You mumbled after a bit of silence. You could tell Jack didn't want to push you. Usually, this was a thing Tommy would handle but for some reason, the tribe had sacrificed Jack to be the emotional voice of reason this time.
"You know," he said as his hand ran through Marshmallow's fur. His teeth bit the inside of his lip as he debated what to say for a second before continuing. "you could just admit you were in the wrong and go apologize. I mean, you clearly fucking regret it."
"I don't." You answered so quickly even Marshmallow didn't believe you. His green eyes stared in lazy disbelief. "I mean I do but… I don't know, Jack. It's weird 'cause I'm so sad but… what if this never gets better? What if it's always like this? Like, we're always struggling to be a normal couple?"
"You're not a normal couple so why would you try to act like one?"
Your eyes shot to his at the words that poured out of his mouth so carefully. You'd never thought of it that way before. Your brows furrowed as you stared back at the bed.
Was there a chance for you to make this work with them?
"Look, Y/N, relationships are fucking hard no matter what but you can't just… walk out on people before they get a chance to hurt you."
"I didn't."
"You did. It's kind of your thing, you know?" He smiled softly to you. Not condescending or in a know it all way, in the way only a sibling could without getting smacked. "Not that it doesn't make sense but if they made you happy, maybe you should try to hear their side of it."
"When did you become the smart brother?" You teased with that wide smile across your face.
"Right after I came out of the closet."
"Shut up." You said through a laugh. The first one you'd had in days. That weight that laid on your chest seemed to have lifted a small amount.
Maybe, just maybe, you could talk this through with them.
>>>
You stood on the same doorstep you angrily stormed across not even a week ago. The pink door that you used to love, suddenly felt like a door to the electric chair.
Maybe you couldn't do this.
You sighed, your eyes darting back to the old Camero you loved just a little too much. Arms crossed over your chest to keep you warm as you stood in your place. You knew you couldn't go back to your apartment this quickly without getting asked questions.
Raphael, Jack, Tomás, and Jason were all waiting for your post-breakup meltdown if this didn't go well. Each one said they'd stay with you on rotation shifts until you felt better if you needed it.
Which was sweet, but you kind of wanted to rot in silence and alcohol if this went as badly as you thought it was going to.
Your tongue grew thick as your stomach churned. Your eyes closed as you sighed heavily, your ass plopped down on his front steps, head rested in your hands.
You didn't know where to even start when it came to talking to them. Your feelings were hurt but you shouldn't have walked out without giving them a chance to explain. You didn't want to feel like the odd man out but didn't want to broadcast your relationship.
The whole thing was messy and complicated. You wished so hard that it'd be easy. That talking about what you felt would be easy.
But you knew it wasn't, it never was, at least not for you. You shoved all your emotions down and kept chugging along your whole life. You pretended everything was fine, even when it wasn't. Which was exactly what ended you up here in the first place.
If you would have told them sooner they would have ended the PR shit.
"Hi." The thick accent from behind you startled your thoughts for a second but you didn't turn around. Your fingers messed with the edge of the rip in your jeans as your eyes focused on the crack in his sidewalk.
"Hi." You said quietly after what felt like a full minute of silence. You heard him let out a small sigh, his feet shuffled forward until he sat down quietly beside you.
You tried to not look at him, knowing if you did you'd burst out into tears. So you stayed focused on the ground, the dead leaves that floated along the road, the grass that was getting crunchy from the cold weather.
"Y/N, 'M-" he started but you waved your hand to get him to stop. Your head rested against his shoulder that tensed up from your touch.
You didn't want to talk for a second, just a second. You breathed in the familiar smell of him, the cologne he always wore was faint on his skin. The sleep shirt he wore was your favorite, you realized. The blue sweatshirt always made his eyes look so beautiful.
"I missed you." You said into his shoulder. Your lips brushed against the soft fabric as you spoke.
"'M missed yeh too." His voice cracked as he rested his cheek against the top of your head. His fingers laced through yours as you moved closer into the warmth of him. "Flor's inside if y'wanna talk."
You sighed, you knew you needed to talk, knew you had to talk about it. You just didn't want to. The feel of him being close to you again, the intoxicating smell of him near.
Your head lifted from his sweatshirt, only to see how rough he'd been doing himself the last few days. His bloodshot green eyes had large bags under them. His scruff on his face, messy brown curls. He'd done just as bad as you.
You only caught sight of his lips for a second before saying fuck it. Talking could happen later, you'd missed him so much.
Your lips pressed against his with a force that knocked him backwards for a second but you didn't care. No, this was the most "at home" you'd felt in days.
He felt like home.
His lips molded to yours so perfectly, once he got a hold of himself. His hand slipped to the back of your neck to pull you closer to him.
Your heart felt like it was going to pound out of your chest as your lips parted, welcoming him back.
He pulled you up with him. His hands around your waist, lips still connected with yours as he walked the pair of you inside.
You wished you could slow down the moment. The way he was holding you tightly to him, like he never wanted to let you go again. The fleeting feelings ran through your mind but they all ended the same way.
You fucking loved him, so much.
All your energy was going into not crying from your surge of emotions. The rush of adrenaline was intoxicating, your shaky hands danced in the messy tangle of his unkempt brown curls as you tried to hold onto that shred of sanity you had left.
"I missed you." You breathed out when you came up for air. His forehead pressed against yours, his body crowded yours to the wall. "God, I fucking missed you."
He chuckled, a slight smile on his now swollen lips but you couldn't help it. It was the only thing your brain could come up with besides how sorry you were for not giving him a chance to explain.
"Miss me any?" Her voice made you look around Harry. Her arms crossed over her chest but that hint of a smile smoothed across her lips as she leaned on the doorway that led to the entry.
"Wanna see how much I missed you both?"
>>>
Maybe this wasn't necessarily the healthiest way to deal with your problems as a couple. But at this moment you could have cared less what a therapist would say about your tendency to avoid things that were important.
You laid on your back, your legs wide open, toes digging into the mattress as Florence's tongue pressed a wide thick lick through your folds. Circling around your bundle of nerves before slipping into you.
You would have moaned out loud, if it wasn't for the dick rammed down your throat. Your head laid off the side of the bed, your vision upside down as Harry's pulsating member slid down your open and waiting mouth. His hand around your neck, squeezing himself.
"Missed fuckin' yeh throat, pup." He groaned out as his hips snapped against your spit soaked face. He backed out long enough for you to catch your breath before shoving his way back in. Your abused throat would hate you for this in the morning but right now you didn't care.
"Feel good, baby?" Flor asked as her finger curved inside of you, hitting that sweet spot that always made your eyes roll back. She didn't have to ask if it felt good, she knew it did, she just wanted the bragging rights of who gave you the better orgasm of the night.
Harry's member pulled out of your throat. You tried your best to catch your breath as he crouched down to your level. His hands doing the best they could to wipe away all the saliva that ran down your cheeks. Playful green eyes met yours.
"Gonna cum, sweetheart?" He asked even though he really didn't need to. The sound of your moans alone was enough to tell you were close.
"Mhm." Was all you managed to get out, your hands threaded through Florence hair as her mouth joined her fingers. Your eyes closed as you got closer to your high, your skin raised in goosebumps as she did that fucking flicking, swirl, of her tongue that always did you in.
"Good, 'm gonna make you cum harder than that." Harry's words faded in your mind as that crashing sensation washed you away.
Florence scoffed as her head lifted from between your legs. The back of her hand wiped your juices away as she rolled her eyes at Harry.
"Good fucking luck trying to top that one."
"Guys," you groaned, your hand over your eyes. "Supposed to be makeup sex, not a competition."
"Can be both." Harry mumbled under his breath, quietly, but you still caught it. Your eyes glared at him as you turned around on the bed.
"Shut up." You mumbled as you reached forward, your hands around his neck as you brought him up to your level. Your mouth enveloped his quickly to stop the argument.
You pulled him onto the bed with you two. His knees hitting the edge before climbing up the rest of the way as your tongue took control of this kiss. It didn't happen often but when it did you ran with the opportunity. His mouth following your lead until you pulled away slightly, your teeth catching his bottom lip softly causing him to moan.
"Fuck," he cursed as you pulled away that sweet smile on your face like you didn't know that he loved that.
Florence came behind the pair of you, her lips pressed against your shoulder, up your neck, small love bites left here and there before she took the chance to kiss you when Harry pulled away. Her hands pulled on your waist, tugging you down to the bed to lay on your back.
"Ready?" She asked as Harry stroked himself, the nod of your head was all he needed to hoist your legs up. His pulsing tip ran through your folds as you reached for Florence, your arms wrapped around her thighs as you pulled her down on your mouth.
Harry continued to tease your opening. His tip slipping in and out of you easily as your tongue ran rapid through Florence's pussy. Her wetness was almost to the point of dripping down your face. You groaned as you pulled her by her thighs down harder onto you as your tongue circled into her hole. Fuck, you missed her taste.
You heard the sounds of their kissing, her moans, before he finally pushed his way into you. Your walls clinging around him immediately, pulling him closer into you, making him hiss lowly.
"Jesus, she always so fuckin' tight." His hands embedded themselves into your thighs as he held you open for him. His fingers pulled back the lips of your pussy briefly before you felt Florence shift forward, her core off your mouth as her tongue circled your clit.
Your loud, unabashed moans filled the room. Your mind clouded with nothing but desire and lust, barely functioning at all. Thoughts weren't making sense, you were going based on instinct when your fingers slipped into her cunt that was inches in front of your face.
Harry's grunt and groans as he fucked into your tight cave halted for a moment, his erection pulled out of you briefly. The unmistakable sounds of your girlfriend choking on your boyfriends cock filled the room.
You moaned at the sound, your core clenched as your fingers finally twisted into the right angle. Her velvet walls pulled you in as she tried her best to keep breathing around Harry's thick member.
"Fuck, keep doing that." He panted, accent thick, voice deep with pleasure as you hit that spot in her again. A flood of her arousal coated your fingers as she let out another loud moan, her body slacked on top of you as Harry pulled out of her throat.
You weren't prepared for when he thrusted himself back into you. Your moan cracked as you gripped tightly onto Florence's thighs.
"Told yeh I was gonna make you cum harder." He mumbled as Florence let out a laugh. She rolled over to lay beside you, her lips lazily kissing yours the best they could through Harry's rough thrusts into you.
"Make her cum harder than I did and you can cuddle her tonight." Florence smirked, her hands ran over your hair as you pouted.
"Deal."
"Hey! I wanted to cuddle both of you." Your head shot off the bed as you glared at the both of them, who were both very very clearly taking their competition too far.
Leave them alone for four days and you come back to them acting like children.
"Tomorrow night, sweetheart. I got somethin' prove." Harry smiled as he leaned down to you, his lips capturing yours before you could protest, a roll of his hips had you moaning.
Maybe this bet wasn't that bad.
"Yeah, proving I'm better." Florence scoffed again, adding fuel to the fire as her hand leisurely traveled between her legs. A soft moan passed through her lips as Harry basically growled at her through his teeth.
You rolled your eyes at her as she gave you a shrug and a smile. His length pulled out of you again as he lifted you up, switching you over to be on top of him.
He was pushed back into you in less than a second, his hands grasping the round flesh of your ass tightly as he leaned you forward into his chest. His legs pushed himself upwards, hitting your sweet spot every single time.
You were thankful he pulled you into his chest. Your moans rolled easily as his hands dug deeper into your skin, you were teetering on the edge with in minutes. His gruff groans as his sensitive pulsating member pushed into you only added fuel to the fire.
"Come 'ere, baby." He said as he slowed down his punishing pace his hand left your bum, fingers slipped into Florence's mouth for only a few seconds before finding their way back to you.
The pressure from his finger prodding into your back hole had your eyes rolling in the back of your head. The deep, low, sound that resonated in the bottom of your chest had a smug grin on Harry's face.
He knew he'd won.
His finger and along with his cock fucked into you until you could hardly register your own name. You could feel your heart beating in your core, your nipples so sensitive you could barely stand to have them brush against his own chest.
Harry hummed as you seemed to lose yourself in the feeling of your mounting high. Florence's hand between her legs, stroking herself faster as her lips pressed to Harry's.
You felt a pressure in your stomach you'd never felt before, building and building, ready to bust any second. You didn't even have time to warn him when you felt the dam release. Your head floated in the clouds as your juices ran down him, soaking the bed.
"Well, fuck, I've never made her do that." Florence mumbled after Harry's final thrust into you. His gloating laugh filled the room as you laid limp.
"Told yeh so." He cooed as his hand ran down your back in soothing circles. Florence kissed softly on your shoulder, your arm, wherever until your eyes finally focused on her.
"You okay?" She asked as she brushed away the hair that was stuck to your face.
"Mhm, wanna sleep." You whined, your head pressed into Harry's shoulder tightly as you felt him soften inside of you. Your hips shifted to move off him but his hand quickly pressed your ass down again.
"Go to sleep, darlin'." He kissed the top of your head before he nuzzled into your. Florence arm wrapped around the both of you as Harry opened one arm for her to cuddle into his side.
>>>
"Mornin', sweetheart." Harry hummed as he rounded the corner to his kitchen. A quick kiss placed on Florence's lips before he picked up the cup of tea she already had made for him.
"Morning." She mumbled into her cup. Her legs pulled up beside her as she sat on the counter.
"Wot's wrong?" He paused before taking a sip, his eyes studying her as she sighed.
"It's just…" she stared at the coffee pot that hadn't been used in a week. The steaming brown liquid dripped into the vessel below it. She sighed, shaking her head. "I woke up this morning and the first thing I did was make sure she didn't leave again."
Harry's eyes softened, his hand ran through her hair, lips pressed to her forehead. Trying his best to comfort her which is what he tried, and usually failed, at doing all week long.
"We'll talk to her, okay?"
Flor nodded her head, her lips pressed to his one last time as they heard the door to the bedroom creak open. A shirt you'd taken out of Harry's closet hit your knees as you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes.
"Morning." You said as you gave both of them a kiss, your eyes more trained to the pot of delicious coffee than either one of their faces.
"Y/N?" Florence asked as you poured your first cup, the smell wafting into your senses had your knees almost buckling.
"Yeah, baby?" You asked without turning around. The glass pressed to your swollen lips from all of last nights kissing, the warm mug felt like a relief to them.
"Can, uhm," she started, you finally turned around to see her looking uncomfortable. Her tongue wet her lips, eyes glanced to Harry before she continued. "can we talk, you know… about everything now?"
"Right, yeah of course, we should… just-" You could feel the nerves pit in your stomach growing as you nodded towards the table. The three of you sat in your usual chairs, your usual mugs in your hands, but it wasn't an usual morning.
No, now you actually had to talk about what was bothering you.
"Right." Harry said, hoping to get the conversation started with already but the room was dead silent.
"Right." You repeated mostly to fill the awkward silence that was growing thicker in the room by the second. You could feel your ears rushing, the room was so quiet. No TV to drown out the weird atmosphere, no music to cover up the fact you had to talk about what happened.
"So, I guess 'm gonna start." Harry said after he glanced at the both of you two, seeing he was going to have to get the ball rolling on this whole thing.
"Yeh know 'm really, really, sorry 'bout the Gemma stuff. I was gonna tell her the next week after the last interview but she decided to come in early and surprise me." Your lips rolled in your mouth as you listened to him. You knew the whole time you sat in your apartment, drunk, that a version of this was what happened. "And I didn't want yeh to get hurt and 'm so sorry it seemed like I was hiding yeh away from people."
You could feel the start of tears in your eyes. You sucked in a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down from a blubbering meltdown that was about to happen. Which you might have been able to avoid if his hand didn't wrap itself around yours from across the table.
"Just," you sighed, your hand squeezed his as you tried to wipe away the tears that rolled down your cheek. "Just, I should have said it was bothering me before it got to that point and I'm sorry I didn't and I blew up then walked out."
"It's okay." Florence said softly, her other hand laced through your free one. "But… maybe, we should agree to talk about stuff a bit more."
"Yeah, think that would probably be good." Harry agreed as he scooted forward in his chair, his hand wiped away the rest of your tears. "So, yeh gonna stay, right?"
You smiled up to him, your hand laced tighter through Florence's fingers as you nodded your head.
Yeah, you think you'd stay with them.

There’ll Be Peace When You Are Done AKA the REAL finale (Destiel + Sam/Eileen)
[read on ao3]
The shot focuses on DEAN, asleep in his bed. It’s angled so you can’t see the other half of his bed. Dean is lying on his side, and looks like he’s having a nightmare. His eyes fly open, and he calms himself for a moment before rolling over to look across the bed. The shot follows him to see CAS, under the covers beside him and obviously unclothed. There’s a glow, like sunrise, through the shot, making it look soft and peaceful, though that makes no sense since his room in the bunker has no windows, and an unobtrusive but calming background music.
CAS: [tilting his head, looking into Dean’s eyes] Dean? What’s wrong?
DEAN: Nightmare. I thought… [he pauses, evidently confused] I thought I’d lost something important…
CAS: What did you lose?
DEAN: I don’t know.... [he leans forward, buries his head in CAS’ shoulder. He still seems rattled]
CAS: [running a hand over Dean’s hair] Whatever it is, I’m sure you’ll find it.
DEAN: I hope so. [chuckles] How do you always make me believe in miracles, Cas?
CAS: [confused] Well, I am an angel.
DEAN rolls his eyes and is about to say something snarky with a grin on his face when—
Shot cuts to a farther one. From above, showing Dean alone sleeping on the side of his bed, waking up. No music. No light. Just the sounds of his gasping breath and the light from the clock on his bedside table. He sits up, turns on the lamp, eyes still wild and you can see that he’s a complete wreck. His eyes are bloodshot, he looks like he hasn’t slept well since Cas died, which he hasn’t. The look on his face is one of profound and inconsolable bafflement and loss.
CUT TO SAM waking up. You see him walking out of the shower and getting ready, and to all intents and purposes, he looks like he’s doing fine. Not great, maybe, but definitely at least okay. SAM walks into the kitchen where DEAN is eating breakfast and already on his second beer. SAM looks, obviously notices, but doesn’t say anything. He sits at the table to join him.
CUT TO SAM doing laundry and reading, DEAN working on BABY, checking the motor, cleaning all the windows… as SAM is shown making phone calls, looking through books, eating lunch, DEAN is still working on BABY. He looks driven, almost frenzied, as though if he stops he’s going to fall apart where he stands. SAM stops by a door in the hallway and looks in, it’s obviously JACK’S room. It’s empty and dark. SAM doesn’t turn on the light but leaves the door open and stands there for a moment. He’s got a hollow expression, not entirely sad but not happy either.
CUT TO the library. SAM is on the computer when DEAN walks in, a duffle bag over his shoulder.
DEAN: Hey.
SAM: Hey. ...You doing all right?
DEAN: I can’t stay here anymore. I need some fresh air for a few days. You’ll be okay?
SAM: [with a surprised huff of a laugh] Of course I will.
DEAN: Good. [awkward silence] Good. Well then… [clears throat] See you.
He walks up the stairs toward the top of the bunker. Shot changes to SAM’S reaction. He looks worried and sad. You hear the clang of the door shut. SAM lets out a sigh and bows his head, closing his eyes. He speaks in a quiet tone…
SAM: Jack? I know you can hear me, and I know… you didn’t want people to pray to you, but… Dean’s not doing well, and I don’t know how to help… [shuddering sigh] actually, I’m not doing so well either. So, I mean, if you could…
SAM opens eyes. Looks around. JACK is still, obviously, not there. SAM leans back in his chair, looking gutted, but just then his phone, lying on the table beside him, vibrates. He picks it up.
EILEEN: [text] Sam, how are you?
SAM: [slight smile, texts back] Not great, honestly.
EILEEN: [facetime request]
SAM: [accepts request]
EILEEN: [speaking and signing] I found a hunt, just a simple salt and burn. If you want to join me?
SAM: [speaking and signing] I’ll be there.
NIGHT. Exterior, the Impala is parked on the side of a long, empty stretch of highway with trees around it. There’s a dirt path like a long driveway, which is where it’s parked at the front of, but you can’t see where the path leads, except into the woods.
CUT TO DEAN lying in the front seat, asleep, still from above. Then from the side, shot facing toward the back of the car. There’s a noise from the back seat, like someone shifting. DEAN’S eyes open, and he’s on the alert. He slowly inches up, hand reaching for a knife in its holster. The shot follows him until the camera, and DEAN, are peering into the backseat, where CAS is lying down, possibly asleep. As soon as it is clear that DEAN sees him, CAS opens his eyes, as though he’s sensed DEAN’S presence. He sits up.
CAS: Dean.
DEAN: [exhales] I’m dreaming, aren’t I.
CAS: [looks puzzled]
DEAN: [puts down knife, and reaches across the seat back. CAS leans forward till his hand is resting on the seat back and DEAN’S hand is resting on top of it. There’s a long silence.]
CAS: [gesturing to the car and the road] Where are you going?
DEAN: [sounding sad/lost/bitter] I don’t freaking know.
CAS: I’m sure you’ll realize when you get there.
DEAN: [brokenly] How the hell am I supposed to get there?
DEAN leans his head down until it’s resting on his elbows. When the shot cuts back to where CAS was, the seat is empty. DEAN opens his eyes blearily and stumbles outside, with his phone. He turns it on and you can see it says 12:00. He opens up SAM’S number and stares at it for a long time before not calling. He puts the phone down, and the shot follows it, becoming a close-up on the phone screen and the time.
CUT to DEAN again, he’s leaning against the back of the Impala, drinking beer.
CUT to closeup of phone. 1:00.
CUT to DEAN again. Still drinking, but there are empty bottles by his feet.
CUT to closeup of phone. 2:00.
CUT to DEAN, he walks off a few paces and offscreen vomits into the bushes.
CUT to closeup of phone. 3:00.
In a motel room, that’s lit only through the exterior lights outside the uncurtained window, SAM wakes up, looking uneasy. As he sits up, he disturbs the other person lying beside him, who you see, as she sits up, is EILEEN.
EILEEN: Sam? What’s wrong?
SAM: [gets out of bed, unplugs his phone from the wall, and calls DEAN. The phone rings. And rings. SAM looks back at EILEEN, he looks scared.
SAM: [putting down phone so he can sign and speak] It’s Dean. I think something’s wrong.
EILEEN considers this for a moment. You can see her considering that this is the middle of the night, and SAM is probably overreacting, but then you can see her deciding to take this seriously.
EILEEN: [getting up, speaking and signing] You can track his phone, right? [she is just wearing an undershirt and shorts right now, but after she speaks she starts changing, pulling a shirt over her head]
SAM: [distracted, picking up the phone and speaking basically to himself] Yeah, I’m on it.
EILEEN starts packing everything and SAM jumps to his feet. They leave the motel room, [the shot continues from inside the room, showing them closing the door behind them.]
DEAN has finished putting branches over the Impala to hide it and is starting to walk down the trail. As he leaves, shot cuts to DEAN’S PHONE, sitting on the front seat, with his knife beside it.
DEAN walks through the woods, which are dark, crashing into things, scratching his arm on some brambles.
DEAN: son of a bitch!
Then DEAN stumbles out of the woods and sees a small field, with a barn in it. He walks toward it, interested and wary, and creaks open the door.
The moonlight is bright, but DEAN flicks his lighter open, and in the patches of brighter light, casting shadows on the walls, you can see numerous sigils spray painted on the walls. It looks like the barn where he first met Cas all those years ago.
DEAN walks further inside and trips over some farming tools. His lighter falls out of his hand and, fortunately, closes. Now it’s just moonlight again. DEAN pulls himself to a sitting position on a bale of hay.
DEAN: All right, Cas. I’m here. What now? [pauses. No answer. DEAN laughs self-depreciatingly, and then puts his head in his hands] Cas, man, I’m trying. I’m trying to be… to be the person you saw in me. [his voice gets choked up] to keep living for you… but I can’t. I need you. [silence. Long, resounding, and empty.]
DEAN takes a shuddering breath, leans his head up from his hands and you see that he’s been crying.
DEAN: Fine. You want the truth? I don’t need you. I’ll survive… hell, I’ve done it before. But I don’t freaking want to. [a pause. DEAN looks almost surprised at his own words. Then, as though admitting something that is hard to say, even to an empty barn:] I want you here, Cas.
All of a sudden, something in the barn is moving. A space of blackness that is darker than the night shadows, and more gooey. It gets bigger and forms itself into a DOORWAY into the Empty. Dean stands up, steps toward it, and stops at the threshold. He reaches his hand through the doorway, and pulls it back. His hand is fine. Then he looks around in his pockets, and there’s a quick cut to DEAN’S PHONE sitting on the front seat of the Impala, with his knife next to it.
DEAN: ...Shit. [DEAN looks at the doorway to the Empty as though considering doing something very, very stupid. Then he steps through]
CUT TO SAM and EILEEN at the IMPALA, they’ve found the phone and start to run along the path through the trees, EILEEN has her gun out, SAM has a flashlight.
In the empty. It’s dark. At first DEAN wanders through darkness and silence, and then he hears cries of pain. As he comes closer, he sees CAS curled up on the “ground” with Meg!Empty torturing him.
DEAN: [rushing forward] You get your hands off him, you bitch!
THE EMPTY: Dean Winchester? [surprised, but recovering quickly] Who are you to give me orders.
DEAN: [with a cocky attitude, glancing at CAS, and obviously speaking to him, and not THE EMPTY] I’m the one who’s going to grip you tight and save you from perdition.
CAS stands up, looking tired, and worried. He glances between DEAN and THE EMPTY.
THE EMPTY: [laughs] You can’t save him. Cas and I made a deal. Fair and square. His happiness brought him here and I’m never letting him go again.
DEAN: Oh yeah? And that’s how you get your kicks, is that it? Torturing people? You can’t stand how alone you are and you take it out on everyone else. Man I get that but you, you’re on a whole other level. Not caring about anyone else, you’re just… just...  just empty !
THE EMPTY: I want to sleep! I’m tired!
DEAN: [looking at the EMPTY for a moment, realizing] No one’s ever given a shit about you, have they.
THE EMPTY looks furious.
DEAN: God screwed you over. Billie—Well, Billie said she’d help you fall asleep, but let’s face it, she didn’t even have a clue how to begin.
THE EMPTY: [hysterically] So I’ll stay awake forever, then! And so will everyone else!
DEAN: It doesn’t have to be that way.
THE EMPTY: You can’t save me. You’re just a hunter who got lucky… God’s little pet…
DEAN: You’re right. I’m nobody special. [steps forward, looks her in the eyes] But I’m willing to try.
CUT TO SAM and EILEEN. They are now in the barn. SAM sees the portal to the EMPTY, which is closing, and notices DEAN’s lighter on the ground and puts two and two together.
SAM: [into the empty] Dean! [turns back to look at EILEEN.] The portal’s closing—Dean’s on the other side. He’s not going to make it back.
EILEEN: [speaking only, still holding her gun] Can you keep it open?
SAM: You’d have to be a powerful witch to pull off a spell like that. I mean, I have some idea… Maybe, for a few minutes… [he’s started considering] But I can’t do it, without focal points, ingredients… there won’t be enough power…
EILEEN: [puts down her gun and holds out her hand] I trust you. We’ll make it. Together. [SAM stares at her, surprised, and grateful, and overwhelmed. He takes her hand and faces the portal. The shot shows the two of them from the back, the portal before them: Sam standing centered, EILEEN to his left. Then he turns his head as though noticing someone. Close up shot of ROWENA, in the pink dress. She smiles at him, and close up shot, puts her hand in his other hand. Back to wide shot, it’s just SAM and EILEEN again, but you get the idea that ROWENA is there in spirit. SAM starts to speak a spell.
CUT back to the Empty. THE EMPTY is lying on the “ground” looking uncomfortable. Cas is kneeling on one side of her, DEAN on the other.
THE EMPTY: How is this supposed to work?
DEAN: Uh… [embarrassed laugh; looks desperately at CAS, hisses] what should I do?
CAS: [exasperated] This was your idea!
DEAN: [annoyed] Sorry, I haven’t exactly been tucked in since I was four!
THE EMPTY starts to get up.
DEAN: Wait, wait! [everyone looks at him. Dean, rambling, continues] Uh, you know, my mother… she used to, uh… [laughs nervously] she used to say angels were watching over me. [Glances at Cas shyly, then away. Clears his throat.] And sometimes, she… she’d sing me a lullaby.
[sings, thready and uncertain] Carry on my wayward son… [looks from Cas to the Empty and his voice gets firmer, more confident. He continues, acapella] There’ll be peace when you are done… lay your weary head to rest, don’t you cry no more. [by now his voice is strong and steady, and he’s gotten into the swing of it]
CUT TO SAM and EILEEN on the other side of the portal. You can see that SAM is still speaking, there’s the sound of thunder, and hear the words of the spell, overlaid with DEAN’S voice, still singing:
Once I Rose above the noise and confusion, just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion, I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high… [as the shot focuses on SAM’s face, speaking the spell, looking powerful and confident]
CUT back to the empty, DEAN is singing and looking at CAS:
Though my eyes could see, I still was a blind man, though my mind could think I still was a mad man, I hear the voices when I’m dreaming, I can hear them say [DEAN is now stroking THE EMPTY’S hair, THE EMPTY looks relaxed, quiet, and her eyes are fluttering shut]...
The SONG starts up in actuality for the chorus,
Carry on my wayward son, there’ll be peace when you are done, lay your weary head to rest, don’t you cry no more.
As the chorus plays, DEAN and CAS stand up, and walk away from the now sleeping EMPTY. They hold hands and step forward—
And tumble out into the barn, where there’s a final crash of thunder and the song cuts out, and the portal closes.
SAM: Dean? [runs forward, hugs him] Cas! [All four of them embrace, then SAM and EILEEN step back. SAM is crying but looks happy.
DEAN: [turning to CAS] I told you something, before I went into the Empty. Did you hear it?
CAS: No.
DEAN: I don’t need you.
CAS looks shocked, betrayed, but then resigned, tries to look like it doesn’t bother him
DEAN continues: but I want you. I want you here, Cas. With me. Please tell me you’ll stay. [He steps forward, uncertain, and CAS, with a blinding smile, says]
CAS: Of course I will. As long as you want me to. [he takes DEAN’S hand carefully and DEAN pulls him into a hug again, and then, looking into his eyes, puts both hands to the side of Cas’s head as he speaks]
DEAN: I want you to stay until I die. No matter what damn curses we have to deal with. What monsters. Or how bad it gets. Or… even if things are fine. Even when there’s nothing to do, even when we don’t need you… I want you to stay through all the boring, everyday crap…
CAS: [laughing and crying] Dean, yes. Yes, of course.
SAM: I now pronounce you man and angel.
DEAN: [looking over, half laughing and still overjoyed] shut up.
SAM: I don’t know dude, you kind of married him. [SAM looks at EILEEN, who has been watching, and repeats himself in sign language. EILEEN laughs.]
DEAN: [defensively blustering] No I didn’t.
ELEEN: [speaking and signing] Yeah. You kind of did.
DEAN: [at a loss for words, looks at CAS, who shrugs] Fine. Then… [obviously making his mind up on a whim, he leans close to CAS’s face and whispers] If you don’t want me to do this, just say no and I’ll forget all about it.
CAS: I told you yes and I’ll tell you until the day you—
DEAN: [kisses Cas, slow and sweet, and Cas reaches up to hold him. Then Dean breaks the kiss. He’s breathing heavily, mostly out of nerves, and can’t meet anyone’s eyes, but he says,]
DEAN: There. Now it’s official.
CUT TO exterior. Everyone is sitting on the hood of the Impala. SAM is opening a beer and offers one to DEAN, who shakes his head
DEAN: Nah, I think I already had enough of those tonight. [He is sitting in Cas’s lap and looks perfectly happy, and Cas is holding him like he’s never going to let go. Eileen is sitting next to SAM and she and SAM clink their beer bottles together.
Turns into a small montage [no sound] of them all talking and laughing. First from afar, then close up shots. But as it shows the close up shots, you see Jack sitting with them. It seems that they almost “feel” him. Farther out shot again, Jack is still there. At the same time, the song starts playing again:
Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, well It surely means that I don't know
On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about, I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say… [song ducks but continues playing, skipping the chorus and playing THIS under the next bit instead:
Carry on, you will always remember
Carry on, nothing equals the splendor
Now your life's no longer empty
Surely heaven waits for you
JACK: [quietly, smiling] I love you. All of you.
SAM: [turning his head, as though noticing something] Did any of you feel something? A presence?
DEAN: Oh, come on. I don’t need any more ghost crap tonight.
SAM: no, not a spirit, just… a presence. It felt familiar. It felt like…
CAS: [quietly, knowingly, meeting Sam’s eyes] like family.
Song is at… “surely heaven waits for you” which is audible, and then:
FADE TO BLACK
Then, the very last chorus and the song ends, over black.

Shitshitshitshit I’m so fucking late UGH SHIT! You are so late. You’re running around your bedroom trying to get ready. You were going for brunch with the girls; Penelope’s idea, which was fine except that you were getting picked up at 11, you woke up at 10:40. For the last 10 minutes, you have been rushing around your room trying to get ready, preying that the girls would be running late as well. You’re dressed, which is good, you threw on a bit of makeup in an effort to look the least bit presentable and now you were desperately trying to manage the mess that is your hair. You had… fun last night. Aaron had come over and well like you said you had fun. Jack was at a sleepover so Aaron came to your apartment, you stayed up half the night, relishing in the time you’ve missed together in the past week. It came to an end when Aaron received a call saying that he needed to pick up Jack. At that point you decided you should get some sleep seeing as you had to get up in the morning, unfortunately for you, your own personal alarm clock left last night and you forgot to set an alarm, yep, you’re late. You’ve been checking the clock every two minutes, you were probably wasting time checking the time and now you're wasting time thinking about how you're wasting time, UGHH, but you were frazzled and freaking out so you can’t be relied upon for anything right now.
10:53
All you have to do in the next 7 minutes is clean up the rat’s nest that is left of your hair after last night’s activities, find shoes, find your wallet, purse, find wherever the hell you put your phone down and pray that you look presentable.
Unfortunately, there’s one flaw that always manages to escape you, most people don’t show up at the exact minute agreed upon.
It was now 10:56 your hair was mostly put together,  4 minutes ok I can do that. As if you weren’t already having the worst morning, it gets worse. Ya, that phone you can’t find, It has been blowing up with messages for the last few minutes.
-
“She’s not answering.” JJ had had none been calling you from the parking lot for a couple of minutes with no answer. Em and Pen had been checking in for the last 15 with no answer and continued to send unseen texts to you.
Em finally snapped, “alright, I’m going up.” not giving the other ladies time to respond she opened that car door and got out.
Pen rushed out after her, “Wait I wanna come!”
JJ watched the two women walk toward the entrance to your complex, looking at the empty car around her, got up as well, “ok I’m coming too.”
-
Emily, completely giving up on you, took out her keys and opened your door, JJ, ever the reasonable one, had protested, saying that they should knock. She got a nasty glare as Em pushed your door open.
-
As you said before, Aaron left in a rush last night, and you had been running around your room all morning, actually, you haven’t left your room all morning, making you completely unaware of the state of your apartment.
-
The women stood in your doorway in shock. You and Aaron didn’t just have fun in the bedroom last night, you had fun everywhere, the kitchen, the floor, the table, your desk, the couch, you name it you were there. In conclusion? Your apartment was a mess, for starters there were clothes everywhere, your shirt, Aaron’s jacket, your bra, Aaron’s tie, your pants and last but definitely not least your-ripped-panties right in the open directly in the eye line of the women at the door. And you were completely unaware.
The stunned women stepped in closing the door behind them, the world did not need to see this. They took in the sight, the clothing, the underwear that pen had pointed out, making sure to specify their ripped state. The next thing they noticed was your desk, what was usually a very precise desk was, quite the spectacle. Papers and folders scattered, pencil cups on their sides, pens just everywhere, photos knocked over. The tables and couch were pushed out slightly into the middle of the room, it was very clear what had happened here last night. The ladies looked at each other, their faces blank unsure how to react. A part of them was horrified, the other part really wanted to laugh. That was until they heard a noise coming from behind your door. They all became alarmed, “wait you don’t think Hotch is still in there do you?!” with your normal, horrible timing, that’s when you decided to open your door
Everyone looked stunned. You tried to start asking how they got into your apartment but you were by a frantic Emily, “Is hotch still here?”
“What? No, how did u…” the women looked relieved at your answer, when you started to ask how they knew he was here last night they gestured around the room. And that’s when you remembered the state in which you and Aaron left your apartment last night, “ohhh shit”
Emily started “Ya oh shit, look at this place”
“You guys had fun last night” JJ, always so passive-aggressive. When Pen went to pick up your panties, you sprang into action.
“Alright I’ll be out in a minute you guy can wait in the car” you practically slammed the door behind them, you look back at the mess that in your apartment, “shit”
-
You get your shit and get out of your apartment as fast as you can, JJ, Pen and Em are in the car waiting as ordered to but when you get in they are all smiling, “soooo, if you guys could just forget what you saw in there…”
“Absolutely not! That image will be engraved in my mind for the rest of my life!”
“JJ, come on”
“Don’t give me that did you see that place, good god Y/N what did you do in there!”
“Ummm…”
Before you could even think of an answer Pen jumped in with, “did you see all her clothes on the ground?”
“Did you see Hotch’s clothes still on the ground?”
“Did you see her desk?!”
“Alright, that’s enough” doing your best to put your foot down while also hiding how absolutely mortified you are.
“I think you’ve had enough.”
“No wonder she was late.”
-
Despite your protests, it went on and on,
“Do you think she has hickey?”
“Hmm, not that I can see” at this point they weren’t listening to you anyway, so you just sat there, trying very hard not to listen, at some point you had started to think about last night. It was so perfect, not only the incredible sex but just being with him, allowing your selves to let loose, show each other affection, which you don’t do around the team. And then there was the literal mind-blowing sex, his hand all over you, his mouth across your body leaving the hickeys that you actually had but skillfully covered. The many orgasms you had that your legs hurt now, your slightly sore throat…
“Do you think that HE has hickeys?”
“Should we find out?”
That was it “NO”
“Well that woke her up, you were kind of out of it there for a second.”
“Ya something up,? Maybe something on your mind, thinking about something, dreaming about it, imagining it, reliving it?” Emily was nudging your shoulder and your face was turning bright red, “oh my god she was!”
-
Once you had actually started eating they let the conversation move on. It was one of the best times you’ve had in a while, you laughed and joked, you really don’t remember the last time you all smiled so much. It was nice to be with them so relaxed and happy, you almost forgot what it was like.
When your phone rang you knew their fun from earlier wasn’t over, they all turn to you, smirks growing on their faces, “hey”
“hey Y/N, I’m sorry about last night,”
“Don’t worry about it, really”
“Jack doing fine now but- it was messy” he said with a tired chuckle
“No no, I get it.”
“Hey hotch” Emily had pulled you phone slightly away from your ear and spoke into it “quite a number you did on her apartment last night” you snatched your arm back from her and shot her a glare
“You're still at lunch…”
“Yes. I am.” with a laugh that was more of a sigh,
“Sorry I totally forgot, Jack just wanted to talk to you, but he can wait-”
“No no, I want to talk to him,” you blushed and everyone smiled, you said you were stepping outside and would be back, they didn’t catch much of your conversation as you walked away, but what they did catch, was way too fucking sweet.
“Wow, they are just-”
“She looks so happy” watching you talk through the window
“Her? Have you seen him?” they thought about the changes in the two of you recently, you both were smiling so much more, you seemed so energetic, he seemed softer. Both so much more selves, a weight coming off both your shoulders, you brought the light out in each other and just being in the same room as you lift the spirits of the team. Watching their fierce leader's stoic exterior melt away and your calm and loving nature amplified out of proportion.
-
You came back to the table still smiling while they all looked at you, “don’t start-”
JJ cut you off, grabbed your hand and looked in your eyes, “hey,” squeezing your hand, “we are so happy that you're happy.” you blushed and smiled at JJ’s soft, kind words, her motherly exterior and your friends smiling faces showing the sentiment.
-
After a lovely lunch, filled with smiles, laughter and best friends you pulled up to your apartment JJ had a grin on her face, “so, you want help cleaning up?” the ladies trying very hard not to start laughing.
You clear your throat composing yourself and your face heats up, again, “um no I’m good thanks” getting out of the car as fast as you could.
“Are you sure?” they call after you.
“I’m sure!” running to your door while the ladies kill themselves in the car.
They may be annoying but who would you be to complain about your life right now, how could you, you have everything you could ever want.

-Boy Best Friends- [J. Hughes & T.Smith]
Literally no one asked for this but Kelly @prettyboycozens and I were talking about how much we love Jack and Ty's friendship, especially after the interview of Jack where Ty comes in and then came up with this idea and I had to write it so here we are! Hope you enjoy!
Jack and I had been close since we were little. We started out next door neighbors then he was the weird boy who I waited at the bus stop with, then he became the boy I had every class with in middle school. Around 6th grade is when we finally clicked and became best friends. He calls me ‘Ranch’ even though my name is Rachel, all because one time his phone autocorrected ‘Rach’ to ‘Ranch’ and he thinks it’s the funniest thing ever. He even changed my contact name to ‘Ranch’.
It’s been an interesting 8 years being friends with him and watching him grow up. The funny thing is, I’m pretty sure we’ve only spent a full year together one time during our whole friendship. He’s always been off doing all his hockey stuff while I’ve been home in Michigan. But then college rolled around. He got drafted the summer after my senior year, managing to watch me walk across the stage at graduation before flying up to Vancouver for his draft 2 days later. I watched him get drafted on TV and remember the thrill of hearing New Jersey picked him because coincidentally, the college I was planning on attending, Seton Hall, was about 20 minutes away from the arena he would be playing in. Knowing I would be getting to spend, hopefully, the next 4 years with my best friend within a short car ride’s distance away for the first time in 8 years was some of the best news I had gotten in a long time.  The first year was rough but I managed to survive, mainly because of Jack. It took a while to figure out the dynamic of our friendship but we settled into a routine and a comfortable cycle. We went back to Michigan for the summer, spending it with our families. He trained most of the summer while I worked. But almost every evening was spent together. Then it came time for us to head back to Jersey and back to the chaos that waited for us.
“Why are you living in the dorm again next year? When Ty and I have a perfectly good room for you to stay in?” Jack asked, his face way too close to his phone. We had been on FaceTime for at least the last 2 hours, him distracting me as I attempted to do homework.
“Because I can? Why would I wanna live with you and Ty?” I shot back, smirking as he looked offended.
“Well that one hurts. Hey, I was just offering so you didn’t have to worry about getting stuck with a bad roommate, like freshman year.” I grimaced at the thought of my freshman year roommate. I had spent more time camped out in Jack’s apartment than at my own dorm.
“That is a good point. But who said you and Ty are good roommates? I know for one, you never pick up anything, your room was always a disaster when we were little and Ty sings in the shower so there’s two cons.” Jack rolls his eyes.
“My singing is lovely! You’re just jealous you can’t sing as well as me!” Ty yells from across the room as Jack turns the camera to show him.
“We’ll work on the singing. And I’ve gotten much better at cleaning up after myself. I even know how to do laundry now!” Jack says, excitedly. I laugh and put my pen down.
“This really isn’t convincing me to move in with you two. Just saying.”  Jack rolls his eyes.
“Just give us a chance. It’ll be fun.” I shrug.
“Okay fine. But you do know that means Brady will be around the apartment, right?” Jack’s face screws up a little and I roll my eyes. Brady is my boyfriend that I met midway through my freshman year. He was a sophomore, majoring in business and just happened to be at the very first party I went to. He was older, in a fraternity and sweet-talked me. I fell head over heels for him almost instantly. But the issue was that Jack and Ty weren’t huge fans.
“Jack, he's not that bad.” This time it’s Jack’s turn to scoff.
“Yeah because having to go and pick your drunk boyfriend up from a party every 2 nights doesn’t make him that bad.” Ty appears next to him and starts talking.
“Rach, we’re just looking out for you. We don’t exactly love the guy.”
“Well that’s what’s gonna happen so get used to the idea.” Jack looks over at Ty.
“I think we can be civil. So you’re moving in?” I nod and Jack cheers. I roll my eyes and start to think about what I have to pack.
The next two weeks are a whirlwind of chaotic packing and moving. The boys were sweet enough to give me the biggest bedroom in the apartment, even though I had the least amount of stuff out of the 3 of us. Once I had moved in, the boys and I settled into a routine of me cooking, then cleaning up, them doing laundry and me folding; really just a lot of splitting up the housework and jobs around the house to get them done. Brady was around a lot, but Jack and Ty were civil and not complete jerks. I was proud of them. But then one night, while Jack, Ty and I were watching some movie Ty had been wanting to watch, I got yet another call from Brady asking me to come pick him up.
“Baby…I…need you to come get me…I-“ Brady’s drunk voice is drowned out by the yelling and music in the background and I can’t hear him anymore.
“Brady, where are you? I’ll come get you.” He mumbles something back but I can’t understand it so I just end the call.
“I have to go get Brady. He’s drunk at a party again.” I say, sighing as I get up off the couch. Jack and Ty exchange a look and then Jack gets up too.
“I’ll drive you. You’ll have to make sure he doesn’t puke in my car though.” I nod as Ty stands up too.
“Might as well come along for the ride.” I slip my shoes on and follow Jack out the door of the apartment, Ty closing the door behind us.
“Let me check his location and I’ll tell you where we’re going.” After enough times of being left sitting somewhere and having no idea where Brady was, he ended up agreeing to share his location with me. In times like these, it was his saving grace.
“He’s about half an hour away. The party must be somewhere in New York.” Jack doesn’t say anything, just starts driving. The ride there is silent, for the first time. Usually Jack and Ty won’t shut up when we’re in the car, constantly fighting about what music to listen to, whose turn it is to drive; everything under the sun is up for discussion when we’re in the car. I usually sit back and listen, occasionally injecting myself into the conversation when I feel necessary. I’ll also play mediator when they’re fighting over something stupid. But the fact that it was silent in the car right now, made everything so much worse. It feels like we’re driving to the end of the world.
“There’s the house.” I say, almost 45 minutes later. Jack manages to get the car parked and turns around to look at me.
“You want us to come with you to find him?” I shake my head, sliding out of the car and shutting the door behind me. This would be the 5th time I’ve had to pick Brady’s drunk ass up from a party in the last 2 weeks. I was getting pretty tired of it. But his explanation was that it was because he was in a fraternity. He said that it was apart of his “brotherhood” or something stupid like that. I didn’t buy any of it but I loved him so I let it go. And as I waded my way through ridiculously sweaty bodies all dancing to way too loud music, I remembered how much I didn’t like partying.
“Hey you’re Brady’s girlfriend right?” A girl asks, grabbing my arm and yelling over the music. I turn to her and nod, an eyebrow raised.
“I just saw him go into a room with some other girl. Top of the stairs on the left.” I gulped, hoping she was wrong.
“Thanks!” I yell back, hurrying over to the stairs and taking them two at a time. I wind through people going up and down the stairs and manage to get to the door. As my hand finds the handle, I take a deep breath, hoping and praying that the sight behind this door isn’t going to be what I think it is. I finally bite back the fear and push the door open. Sure enough, sprawled out across the bed with some girl’s hands all over his bare chest is my boyfriend.
“Baby? Hey I-“ He says, starting to sit up.
“Fuck you. Hope she’s worth it.” I spit out, glaring at him before turning around to rush out of the room. I stumbled down the stairs, bumping into people and blindly apologizing as I pushed through the crowd. Somehow I managed to make it out of the house and into the back seat of Jack’s car.
“Hey hey hey are you okay? Where’s Brady?” Jack asked, a concerned look plastered across his face.
“He-he cheated on me. Wi-with some girl at the p-party.” I stuttered, fighting the tears pressing against my eyes. He and Ty exchange a look and then both look at me.
“Just drive Jacky. Please.” I whisper as the tears finally start to slow a little. It’s silent again for most of the car ride. My phone kept buzzing with texts and calls from Brady but finally, after what seemed like the thousandth call, I put it on do not disturb and tossed onto the seat next to me.
“Well, I mean, there’s always the option of kicking his ass.” Ty says from the front seat, looking up into the rearview mirror at me.
“What do you say, Jacky boy?” I bury my face in my hands and finally let the tears fall.
“Shit Ty, she’s crying! You broke her!” Jack says, hitting Ty’s arm as he looks back at me.
“I didn’t break her! How is it my fault!” They continue to argue back and forth the rest of the ride home, which would usually make me smile and roll my eyes but not today. Not after what just happened.
As soon as we get back to the apartment, I rush inside and to my room, closing the door behind me. I heard Jack and Ty come in not long after me and whisper about something for a while. I hear the front door open and close again and then Jack tapping lightly on my door.
“Hey Ranch, you okay?” He asks, getting a tiny smile from me because of the nickname.
“I should’ve listened to you and Ty. You said he wasn’t good for me but I didn’t listen. I-I thought he loved me.” This wouldn’t be the first time I’ve cried to Jack about boys. I’ve had my share of boyfriends through the years and every single break up was cried out, usually over the phone with Jack.
“Ty went to go get you ice cream and I remembered how much you like bubble baths so I got one ready for you if you want…” He says, awkwardly picking at his thumb and looking at me.
“Seriously, how did I get so lucky to have you as my best friend? You and Ty?” He smiles a little as I sit up and walk over to where he’s standing in the doorway.
“You both are going to make some very lucky girls happy someday, you know that right?” He smiles and nods as I hug him.
“Now aren’t you glad you moved in here?” I smile and nod, looking up at him.
“Yeah. Yeah I am.”

“Oh come on, come on, come on!”
You panted harder than you ever had before as you ran through the train station, feet thudding against the ground in a way that wasn’t graceful in the slightest. Your knuckles where white with how you clutched your car keys in your hand, and your eyes scanned the station for the petite figure you were looking for.
To your dismay, not a single person had the dark waves cascading down their back, nor the peachy sweater and jeans that you remembered Joohyun to be wearing when she left the apartment. There wasn’t a white Chanel bag in sight, and certainly no unfairly beautiful face either.
But there-- a couple feet ahead of you, the same outfit you remembered, or at least a similar one. A white bag, a petite figure growing closer and closer as you ran closer at top speed.
And a collision, an unflattering “oof” escaping you as you hit the person you believed to be your crush of years. “I think I love you,” you blurted without even seeing Joohyun’s face, stumbling back when the girl who turned back was decidedly not her.
Had you not been so hung up on the older girl, you would’ve realized that the body you collided with was just as beautiful, that the smile on the stranger’s face was just as charming. “Uh. Wrong person?” she offered, cocking her head.
All of a sudden, you realized that her hair was too short, too straight to be Joohyun. She was probably a bit shorter, and her sweater wasn’t peach at all, more of a light pink color. “I-- I am so sorry,” you gasped, ducking down in a bow. “Oh my god, I wasn’t thinking straight.”
“I figured,” the stranger laughed. “Joohyun. That’s a girl’s name, isn’t it?”
When you hesitated to answer, apprehension about Korea’s conservative history obviously showing in your expression, she reassured you with her hands held up in the air, “I’m not homophobic, promise. Won’t jump you.”
“Yeah. She’s-- well. I love her.”
Rather than responding, she held her hand out to you to shake, fingers warm and surprisingly strong against yours. “Cool. I’m Yerim, but a lot of my friends just call me Yeri.”
“Yeri. Got it.” You attempted to smile back, still fearing that Yeri would hit you back or something. (Okay, unrealistic, but you had expected a K-drama moment with your crush in the train station. You were born unrealistic.) “Uh, I’m Y/N.”
Yeri nodded, checking her phone with a nonchalance that lead you to think that strangers hit her and confessed their love to her on the daily. “Right. Hey, could I ask you a favor? You can totally say no.”
There was no way you could refuse a chance to assuage your own guilt, and you didn’t really want to chase after Joohyun when her train was probably already gone, so you shrugged. “Sure, give it a shot.”
The girl smiled, nodding at the keys still fisted in your hand. “Could you drive me somewhere? I’d ask my friend, but I don’t really trust her to drive.”
“You’d rather go with a possible murderer than ask your friend to drive you?” you joked, face blanching when you realized what it implied. “I’m not-- that was a joke, by the way. I’m not a murderer.”
“If you knew Seulgi, you’d understand,” Yeri snickered, tugging her bag behind her in the direction that you came from. “So, is that a yes?”
It wasn’t smart-- that much was obvious. The smart thing to do would’ve been to call Joohyun before she left the station, to beg her to come back instead of letting her leave with a hatred for you permanently instilled into her heart. But smart was never your forte.
You jogged over to Yeri, pulling her in the actual direction of your car with a grin and an offer to pull her luggage for her. “It’s this way.”
Tumblr media
Driving a random stranger home from the only train station in town shouldn’t have resulted in anything. You should’ve just dropped her off at the house she was staying at for the rest of the year, then driven off to moan about your terrible luck in love to Sooyoung.
But instead, Yeri didn’t close the door of the car immediately, peering inside at you with the curious smile on her face that you’d come to like over the 30-minute car ride. “Well? Are you coming? Seulgi wants to vet you.”
“Uh. Sure.” You locked the car behind you, hefting up the girl’s remaining luggage as the front door swung open, another girl rushing out to hug Yeri fiercely.
“Yerim, you little shit! How could you just ask a stranger to drive you home instead of me?” she whined, pouting down at the grinning girl you’d driven home. Seulgi, you assumed, was pretty-- unique monolids, wispy bangs, and a full mouth setting her apart from most girls you tended to see in your hometown.
“In my defense, you’re a horrible driver, unnie,” Yeri answered, prying herself out of Seulgi’s grip. She beckoned you over, taking the suitcase from your hands with a grunt. “Seulgi unnie, Y/N. Y/N, Seulgi unnie. Oh. I don’t know if she’s an unnie for you...” she frowned.
You half-expected Seulgi to maim you (again, unrealistic), but she tugged you into a hug that could’ve easily cracked a rib or two. “Thank you for driving Yeri home,” she smiled when she pulled away. “I’m offended on her comments about my driving skills, but that’s not your fault. Come in?”
Going inside for a cup of coffee ended up being about 5 hours of playing video games with the two girls, and laughing harder than you had for a good year or so. Indeed, it was the most you’d forgotten about Joohyun for a while, and it would be a lie to say that it wasn’t a relief.
You only came back to Earth when Sooyoung called you in a panic. “Y/N, Joohyun said that she’s already back in Daegu. You didn’t stop her?”
“Oh.” You glanced back to Seulgi and Yeri, hitting each other with the remote controls on the couch as Mario Kart’s winning page played triumphant music. “I... I didn’t get to her in time. I’m sorry.”
Sooyoung sighed over the line, voice tinny. “Don’t be sorry. Joohyun’s always been stubborn. Did you at least get to tell her? You know, that you lo--”
“I didn’t,” you cut your best friend off, lips thinning. You didn’t want to think about Joohyun or her rejection of your feelings, not when it had been the only thing on your mind for a good couple of years. “Sorry, Sooyoung. I gotta go, but I’ll be home soon.”
Without giving her a chance to speak, you hung up. It wasn’t her fault, of course, but it got annoying sometimes to be constantly reminded that you had to be honest sometime in your life. “I think I should go,” you smiled sheepishly at Yeri, tucking your phone away. “But thank you for today.”
“Hey, gimme that,” she suddenly called, reaching for your phone. Confused, you handed the unlocked device to her. “Okay, I’m saving myself as Yeri. You better not forget my name, because I’m texting you,” she warned, smiling wide when she handed it back.
A surprisingly genuine smile was directed at her as you accepted your phone, now with a cute selfie of Yeri as the profile picture of a brand new contact. Bowing to Seulgi, you grabbed your bag from the rack by the door. “See you soon, I guess?”
“Bye, Y/N!” the oldest girl called out, waving excitedly all the way until the front door locked behind you.
Taking a deep breath of cold night air, you pressed your fingers to your sternum to try and quell the beats of your heart. As you unlocked the door to your car and slid into an icy driver’s seat, you were hit with the longing to go back, back inside a warm living room filled with the laughter of two people who had no business being so welcoming towards you.
But you turned the key and switched the radio to a loud song that echoed inside the vehicle when you drove away. There was no warmth in your life, as you had to remind yourself, and you couldn’t get used to any, in case it made you let go of the only person you held close.
Tumblr media
It seemed that Yeri existed purely to shock you, as you were pleasantly surprised by her call a week following the strangest occurrence of your life.
For the first silent week, you were oddly disappointed that she didn’t contact you. Some lingering hope for friendship, you assumed, was behind it all, and you did your best to brush it aside at work. You didn’t tell Sooyoung about Yeri’s existence at all, for fear that it’d backfire on you when she ultimately left you alone.
Instead, she called you in the middle of grocery shopping. “Hello?” you frowned, holding the phone to your ear without checking the caller name.
“Y/N! Did I catch you at a bad time?” Yeri asked, voice just as cheery as you remembered it to be. It was odd how much just hearing her made you perk up.
“Oh, not at all.” You set a bag of chips down and switched ears, moving to a quieter section of the supermarket. “What’s up?”
Yeri hummed slightly, rustling around. “Well, I was going to ask if you’re up for a movie night. I’m bored today, and Seulgi’s off visiting her girlfriend. Do you have anything to do?”
Movie nights reminded you of being a teenager, watching dumb movies off the internet with your friends and shrieking at kiss scenes. Suffice to say, you missed it, and Yeri seemed like the perfect person to forget about all responsibilities with. “Nothing at all,” you grinned, heading towards the alcohol section. “By the way, what kind of wine do you like?”
Tumblr media
“I hate the Titanic,” Yeri sniffled, popping another handful of popcorn into her mouth. “Jack’s stupid. Rose should find a wife and live happily ever after.”
“A wife?” you laughed, rolling over just to shove the girl. “In that time period? Unrealistic, Yerim, settle for bondage like the rest of us.”
She pouted, tilting her head to face you as well. The slight smell of alcohol on her breath mingled spicy-sweet with sugared popcorn, her flawless skin flushed pink. “Come on, don’t deny you want Rose to get a pretty wife too.”
You rolled your eyes, looking up at Rose hanging onto her board again. “Yeah, you’re right.”
“If I were Rose and you were Jack, I’d save you,” Yeri promised with a laugh, grinning when you looked at her with an incredulous look on your face. “I’m serious! Come on, the both of us could easily fit on that stupid board.”
“It’d sink,” you protested. “Didn’t you say you were good at math and stuff?”
“Math,” she pointed at the screen, “has nothing to do with gay expectations of movies.”
When she laid her head back down, under the makeshift blanket fort you’d made together to ward against the night’s chilliness, her nose almost brushed up against yours, Yeri’s eyes sparkling with the light from Seulgi’s flatscreen TV. “You’re right again,” you admitted just to stop staring at the other girl, flipping onto your stomach to watch the movie. “You’re right.”
It should’ve been awkward, but the girl just grappled for her phone, earning a kick from you when the screen was too bright in a pitch black room. “I want takeout. Are you with me or against me, Y/N?”
You suffocated her with a pillow, snatching the phone to set your own order. “Depends. Are you going to steal my fried chicken?” you demanded, laughing when Yeri smacked you with the pillow herself. “Answer the question!”
“You pay, and I won’t,” she promised, holding her arms up to protect her head. “Oh, it’s on!”
When you collapsed under the half-collapsed blanket fort, sweaty with an order of fried chicken displayed on Yeri’s phone screen and the credits to Titanic rolling, you felt a phrase on your tongue that you hadn’t said since the train station. When Yeri smiled at you, you felt your lips parting to let the words out, and you felt your hand clamping over the 5 words you had already told her by mistake.
It was too fast, too intense to be real. Unlike the 5 years it had taken you to realize you loved Joohyun, it took two hangouts and one chaotic car ride for you to feel something that could burn you up from the inside if you weren’t careful.
I think I love you.

“I hope you like kimbap, because I am the Kimbap Destroyer!”
You chuckled as you shut the door to the apartment you shared with Sooyoung, said roommate nowhere to be found as a crash sounded from your kitchen. “How’d you get in, Yeri? Picked the lock?”
The girl appeared with rice-sticky gloves still on, freshly dyed hair tied up in a ponytail for cleanliness. “Joy let me in on her way out. Is that her real name, by the way?” she asked, returning to the kimbap rolls laid out on your counter. “She’s really pretty.”
“Hey, no simping for my roommate,” you protested, something bubbling at the back of your throat despite Yeri’s joking tone. You hugged her from behind as you knew she liked it, reaching over to snack on some of the extra seaweed. “Besides, isn’t she too old for you?”
“Says you, in love with a girl years older,” Yeri protested. When you fell silent, though, she winced at her own insensitiveness. “I’m sorry. Shouldn’t have joked like that.”
You shrugged it off, peeling your work jacket off. “No problem. I should be over her by now anyway, she hasn’t talked to me or Sooyoung since the train station. Months. She obviously doesn’t give a shit about me.”
Yeri frowned at that, staring at the back of your head as you looked out the kitchen window. “Hey. You know that isn’t true. And if it was, I’ll have you know that plenty of people care about you. Me, Joy, Seulgi, and all of your friends.”
Turning around with a grin on your face that didn’t convince the other girl for a second, you slung your arm around her shoulders. “Wow, Kim Yerim, when did this turn into soft hours? Love you too~”
She let the subject go, throwing a leftover radish stick at you. “Is it time for love already? You’ve only known me for four months, do you always move this fast?”
No, you wanted to respond. No, I usually take years. But you’re an exception, a stupid exception that’s wormed your way into my heart.
Putting Yeri into a halfhearted headlock, you joked, “I’m basically a U-Haul lesbian. By this time, I expected us to already have kids, or at least a cat or two.”
Once she kicked you away, though, you felt the smile on your face falter, looking at this random girl who made you care about her so much making kimbap in your kitchen.
I think I love you.

You swayed at a side to fend from the December wind, hands stuffed deep into your coat pockets as Seulgi hung onto Yeri. Standing just a few feet away, Wendy and Sooyoung talked quietly, smiling at the sight of their friends.
It shouldn’t have been a somber occasion in any way; all that was happening was Yeri flying back home to spend the winter holidays with her family. But somehow, it was like the end of the world, Seulgi still talking in Yeri’s ear as you waited for your own turn.
“Go on, Y/N,” Seulgi urged, shivering in the windbreaker she wore. Her girlfriend enveloped her in a hug, Wendy’s petite frame making the sight almost comical. “Say goodbye.”
“She isn’t going off to the military,” you laughed, making your way over anyway. Yeri held her arms out for a hug, her hair whipping around like a tornado around her. Despite your words, you accepted the embrace, gloved hands lingering on the small of her back as you buried your nose into her shoulder. “I’m gonna miss you.”
Yeri giggled, twisting back and forth to make the hug a little less serious. “Like you said, I’m not going off to the military. I’ll be back before you know it, though I am sad that I don’t get to spend Christmas with you and our friends this year.”
“Mm.” You didn’t want to let go, and thankfully, Yeri didn’t mind, her humming vibrating through your body. “You have a good time with your sisters. Eat something nice, spend time with your family, and have fun.”
“Why do you sound sad?” she whispered in your ear, lips brushing against the sensitive skin. “I told you, I’ll be back before you know it.”
When you pulled away, you were struck with the sight of her, nose cherry red in the icy Seoul weather. The cloudy sky was a good lighting for her, though Yeri would look beautiful in any setting, and the look in her eyes stirred something sweet deep in your heart. “I know,” you sighed, bringing your hands up to your nose for warmth.
“Is there something you wanna say to me?” Yeri asked, wetting her lips slightly.
And of course, the answer was yes. After just a couple months of friendship, you already wanted to ruin it with that treacherous heart of yours, wanted to press your mouth to hers and thank her for all the unwarranted kindness she showed you. But you shook your head, stepping back to allow Seulgi to hug Yeri one more time before you had to leave.
She walked backwards into the airport just to wave to you, the grin on her face never fading. Sooyoung linked her arm in yours to tug you away when it was time, whispering, “Are you sure there isn’t something you wanted to say?”
I think I love you.
“I’m sure,” you sighed, breath forming a white dragon before your face. “I’m sure.”

Christmas stopped being fun for you at age 10, from what you remembered.
As soon as you became aware that Santa Claus was a lie, the holiday changed from being the most magical time of year to a 2 week break from school, or work, or both. It became the time to miss your family, to miss the childhood that wasn’t great but was a million times better than your adult life.
Joohyun was the one to make the holidays better ever since you met her. She was always able to somehow lighten the mood with a ticket to Lotte World, or a freshly baked gingerbread house for you to decorate and then smash. She hated making snow angels but always participated, tossing snow at you just to see that bright smile on your face.
But last year, that all changed. Last year, as soon as Joohyun knew that you felt something for her other than friendship, everything you built together crumbled down.
It was nothing against the fact that you were both girls; Joohyun had had girlfriends before, and she was always the one pushing you to date and get out of your comfort zone. However, for some reason, she couldn’t even contemplate the thought of being with you romantically.
She ran away that year, too, left you alone in your tiny, cold apartment during what was once again the worst time of year. She went back to her sister’s restaurant in Daegu, and came back after New Year’s like nothing changed. But of course it did; your friendship was irreparable, torn to pieces just like your heart. As the awkwardness between you stretched both of you thin, she completely moved out, switching roommates with Sooyoung before declaring that she was moving back to Daegu for good.
Christmas was even more ruined for you than it ever had been, and the only reason you still put up a Christmas tree was for Sooyoung, who still enjoyed the holiday. Your roommate was the only reason that a tree twinkled in the corner of the room, right next to the TV that played a stupid Hallmark movie in the middle of the night.
You expected for her to never come back. Why would she, after all? With her beautiful face and perfect personality, she could easy find someone new. A girl who possessed all the good qualities you didn’t have, a girl who lacked all the bad qualities you did have.
Nevertheless, when you heard a familiar knocking pattern on your apartment door, you knew who it was. And you knew that you didn’t have to get up from the couch to unlock the door for the former owner of the apartment, knew that you didn’t have to see her face to start crying.
“Y/N?”
“Joohyun,” you responded listlessly, not bothering to turn around as you heard the front door shut softly. “You’re back.”
“I’m sorry,” she said softly, appearing just as beautiful in your peripheral vision. God, you hated how your lungs seized at the sound of her voice, how many memories you could recall. “I’m so sorry for leaving you behind, and for making you feel... like this.”
Spite fueled you to raise an eyebrow, turning back to face her in the hopes that it pained her as much as it did you. “Sooyoung told you?” At the older girl’s nod, you scoffed, “She had no right to do that.”
“I’m glad she did,” Joohyun persuaded, sitting closer to you on the couch and only stopping at your glare. “Y/N, it’s wrong that I led you on. And I regret every bit of it, especially now that I know how much you’ve hurt.”
“Hurt?” You brought a trembling hand up to rake through your hair, shaking your head. “That’s undermining it. Joohyun, I loved you. And I tried to tell you that, but you wouldn’t let me. It’s too late to-- you can’t just come back into my life like this. I won’t let you.”
She flinched back as if you had slapped her, her hand withdrawing from where it had been trying to touch you. “I-- Y/N. That’s not fair.”
“Isn’t it?” you shouted suddenly, springing up. “You’re the one who isn’t fair. You left in June, but you’ve been gone for a year. And I don’t love you anymore!”
“That’s a lie, and you know it,” Joohyun answered back, softer than she had ever spoken before. She searched your eyes for an answer, biting her lip when she found none. “Isn’t it?”
“No.” Your voice was stronger than hers, a firm wall in front of your heart that wouldn’t let her in no matter what. And when no lie rung in your ears, you repeated, “It’s not a lie. You left me, and you can’t expect me to still love you, Joohyun. I love someone else now, someone who-- someone who wouldn’t hurt me like you.”
And to your surprise, the girl smiled. Tearily, but she smiled nonetheless, gathering her jacket from the back of the couch. “I see. Well, I... I’m glad that you found someone to mend your heart. I never wanted to hurt you, and I hope you’ll see that someday.”
Just like that, she was gone again, a whisper of her perfume the last thing fueling the rage burning in your lungs. Just like that, it was like she was never in the apartment at all, the space once again cold and empty.
Snatching a framed picture of Yeri off the dresser, you sighed and sat down again, chin in your hand as you stared at the smile that had ingrained itself into your brain. “Yeri, I don’t know what to do anymore. I... I really don’t love Joohyun anymore, but it still hurts.”
She didn’t respond, of course, but you waited a second before continuing. “But I wasn’t lying when I told her I loved someone else. Is it wrong that I moved on so quickly? Is it wrong that I let you replace her?”
Biting down on your lip, you held the picture closer to your chest. It was ridiculous to be treating a picture frame as your sense of comfort, especially when said girl probably didn’t know about your feelings or care about them in the slightest. “I think I love you.”
“Reminiscing about the way we met?”
You spun around in the couch, spine creaking embarrassingly with your speed. And there, Yeri stood in the doorway, hand still lingering on the doorknob as she smiled. “Or is it something else?”
Tripping over your own two feet was embarrassing, but the other girl didn’t seem to mind when you ran to hug her, eyes stinging when you hugged her with all your might, whispering with your eyes squeezed shut, “I love you. I love you I love you I-”
The taste of bitter words on your tongue was replaced with the sugar of Christmas cookies, soft lips moving against yours and cold hands at your jaw. Yeri was the warmth that you had missed in your arms, and you could only grin as you kissed her back.
“Merry Christmas, Y/N,” she laughed when she pulled back slightly to breathe, lips as red as the cranberries Sooyoung hung on the Christmas tree. “Merry Christmas.”

You and Hawks’s second meeting.
warnings: mutual pining, shy reader-ish, ooc hawks, the fun stuff, fluff ; )
|||||||||||||
You didn’t hear anything from Hawks for the next few days.
It was a fleeting disappointment, but you took his lack of contact as truth and reality. Some big shot, pro-hero wasn’t going to waste time texting a no-name, nobody barista, no matter how mutually flirty of an interaction was shared.
Prior to actually meeting Hawks, you had seen the tabloids that his name spilled over. Shady stories of midnight rendezvous with models and celebrities, sultry pictures of his own on magazines at grocery store checkouts were a lot of your knowledge of him. He was a very eligible and active bachelor, everyone knew it.
You reminded yourself that you didn’t mean shit to him, and moved on.
Until about a week from your first meeting, late into the evening, your phone buzzed.
You thought it was one of the team from the teashop, asking another question about a new blend you had made.
Your eyes widened at the text that you did see:
[unknown number]: hey angel ;) do you work tomorrow? it’s supposed to be a cold one and i’d love to try another one of your drinks
You stared at your phone screen for a moment, mouth going dry before typing out a reply.
 [you]: is this hawks?
The next reply came only seconds later.
[unknown number]: the one and only ;))))
  He... actually texted me?
Holy shit.
Another message came in.
[unknown number]: don’t tell me you go handing out your number to folks at work all the time :^( you’re gonna hurt my :^((( feelings :^((((
 You deadpanned at Hawks’s texts.
You couldn’t believe the number two, pro hero texted like a normal twenty-some year old.
It was endearing, if not at the very least comforting.
[you]: nah, just you tailfeathers 😉
[you]: i work tomorrow morning, opening shift. 6 am. think you can handle it???
You giggled at your own texts, unable to hold back when you saw Hawks continuing to type. You quickly typed in a contact name.
 [tailfeathers]: E
[tailfeathers]: Z
[tailfeathers]: i’ll be there bright and early ;)
Part of you, the rational, realistic part, doubted that. Sure, Hawks had texted you, but he wouldn’t actually show, right? He was a busy, busy man. He’d probably get sidetracked.
Don’t get your hopes up.
 You tried to remain practical.
But, you also liked pushing your luck.
 [you]: see u then!!
[you]: btw your contact name is ‘tailfeathers’
[you]: ;)
[tailfeathers]: what if i told you yours is ‘barista angel’
[you]: i’d ask if you saw my name on that conveniently small piece of paper i gave you
 [tailfeathers]: i would say yes
[tailfeathers]: but idk angel seems like a more proper title for u
You felt your still and heat rush to your face.
He can’t be flirting with you over text. What the FUCK.
[tailfeathers]: only angels can make coffee as well as u 😇
“What a bastard,” You shook your head, sighing. Part of you was glad he made it more clear your identity was tied to coffee and not affections.
 [you]: u flatter me
[tailfeathers]: i only speak the truth ;)
You bit your lip as you typed out the next reply, well aware that the evening sky had darkened and you needed an adequate amount of sleep to actually make it to that morning shift.
[you]: i’m about to knock out so i can actually be alive for my shift, but i’ll see you tomorrow bird boy
Hawks’s replied quickly as seemed to be a trend with him.
 [tailfeathers]: bird boy!!!!!
[tailfeathers]: i’m moving up in the world
[tailfeathers]: see u then angel
As you got ready for bed, going about your mundane routine and preparing the coming day, you had no idea that Keigo was across the city, cradling his phone to his chest with a wobbling smile on his face, a foreign sensation filling his chest.
He was very excited to see you again, even if it took a few days to get that far.
 |||||||||||||||||||
The next day was indeed, terribly cold. Despite bundling up in a thick, woolen coat and a knit scarf, you nearly froze on the way to work. Despite the chill, the rest of the morning crew made it in just a few minutes after you.
“I’ll be in back until there’s a rush, alright?” You called to the three openers, all silly college students from the local university. They were all sort of dense, but they were loveable.
“Okay!” One smiled as they flitted to the front counter and seating area.
The back of the teashop was a smaller commercial kitchen, all steel tables and cooking implements. Lots of tools to actually do your job. Though you were the maker of the tea blends for the shop, a lot of your work consisted of packaging and fulfilling orders as well as design work for the teashop’s online presence. Truthfully, you were more of a jack-of-all-trades type of worker, but nearly all of it confined you to the safety of the back kitchen. The lack of stimuli made it easier to work effectively, quirk activated or otherwise.
You tied your apron tight around your waist, adjusting a few of your buttons and smoothing yourself down. The back remained frigid in the mornings, and you could only be glad you were layered up for the day. You pulled out your company-issued tablet and began tapping away with the stylus as the shop prepped to open.
You were too absorbed in your work to hear the bell at the entrance, just minutes after unlocking the door.
Keigo? Elated. His last week of hero work had been all long hours and late nights. His wings had grown sparse with overuse, barely carrying him properly through the skies. When he saw that his office day at his agency was due to be particularly cold, he knew it was the perfect excuse to give you a visit.
You hadn’t been constantly on his mind. Rather, you perked up in his thoughts semi-reliably, but briefly a few times a day. Most affections were forgettable, he didn’t have time for anything other than whorish trysts with other heroes and those of higher society who knew how to keep their mouths (somewhat) shut.
Part of him, the part that the Commission’s ruthless training created, hated the way how you were sticking with him.
Another part of him, the kinder, softer, very repressed one, recognized his feelings and hid them safely. Vulnerable things required heavy protection.
When Keigo reached the teashop, early as dawn crept over the urbanscape, he pushed the door open and was greeted by the rolling smell of roasted coffee beans and black tea.
Only a few other patrons were there, eyes wide as the top ten hero gave them a trademark wave, waltzing to the counter with his signature swagger.
The workers (none of them being you) gawked at him, jaws half to the floor.
“Hawks?!” One of them exclaimed. “Oh my god, can I get an autograph?!”
(Keigo carried a few pens on him for occasions like this.)
The worker, a young thing with a shock of short blue hair, wrestled under the counter for a notebook. Another of the workers also attempted to wrangle a bit of receipt paper from the fussy machine, flashing him a nervous smile.
“Of course, autographs are a given,” He winked at the two of them, sauntering up to the counter. “On one condition, though. Could you tell me if (Y/N) is working?”
The morning shifts workers proceeded to gawk more.
You sat deep in concentration, thoroughly organizing yourself for the day with lists and plans. You were only startled from your work when one of the other baristas popped her head back, eyes wide.
“Uh, (Y/N), I know you’re busy, but Hawks is here for you?” She stammered, saying his name incredulously and pointing a shaking finger out at the counter.
You could hear his silky laugh just beyond the precipice.
Your mouth quirked up in surprise.
I didn’t expect him to actually come.
It was a pleasant surprise though, one that made your heart stutter in your chest.
You put down the tablet, making your way to the front of the shop.
Hawks leaned down on the front counter, signing various papers and items that the staff and patrons of the tea shop had given him. His smooth voice echoed beautifully around the shop, mixing with the din of the soft music that provided ambient sound.
Thoroughly absorbed in his fan interaction, you leaned against the door frame, watching him as he had yet to notice you.
(You tried to look nonchalant, but it was probably a bit of ogling.)
Hawks’s scarlet wings appeared sparse, but still twitched and fluffed every few moments. He was dressed in his hero uniform, visor pushed up into the feathery, front bits of his hair. With all of his typical regalia on, he seemed out of place in the slow din of the coffee shop. He seemed to shine so brightly, making himself a focal point without even trying.
Without the protection of his visor, Hawks’ honeyed eyes seemed brighter, luminous from the inside out. Even from your distance, you could watch their topazine shine dance in the soft lighting.
His gaze drifted to you and positively lit up.
(You didn’t think that was possible.)
Your stomach fluttered.
“Well, if it isn’t (Y/N)!” Hawks beamed you a smile that could’ve put the sun to shame. It made something deep in your chest thrum. “For a minute there, I thought you’d pulled my leg about working today.”
“Oh, never, ” You grinned, moving directly in front of him at the counter, your shocked coworkers parting for you. “I tend to work in the back if the rest of our lovely staff is present.
You gestured to your very starstruck coworkers who all gave various gawking looks before falling away, shyness obviously overtaking them.
It wasn’t like you weren’t feeling similarly, but your nervousness was better hidden. Facades were, in fact, a trained skill in maintaining and god, if you weren’t a master.
But, Keigo had his own mastery in spotting cracks in people’s veneers. And, easily, he saw your tension and nervousness. For anyone with less trained interpersonal skills, they wouldn’t have noticed a damn thing. But to Keigo? Your anxiety was as clear as the light you added to a room. A few of his feathers twitched, picking up on the rapid beating of your heart across from him.
“What can I get you?” You asked, speaking through any of your fears, cracking him a genuine smile.
Keigo returned it without thought, chest warming.
“Mmm... Surprise me. Something to help me get my day started.” Keigo loved the way your eyes lit up when he talked, a little bit of knowingness between the two of you sparking.
“Same specifications as before? Hot and sweet?” You asked, already grabbing a cup, flashing him a cheeky grin.
Hawks raised an eyebrow, batting his eyelashes at you in a way that you couldn’t not laugh. He rested his elbows on the counter and leaned over the top of it, regarding you with half-lidded eyes, “You remember my preferences? I feel honored.”
“You should,” You winked. If he was going to shamelessly flirt, you would right back.
Truthfully, your personal attention made Keigo swoon like a goddamn schoolgirl. He could feel sweat growing on his palms, making the leather of his gloves stick. Normally, the sensation would’ve ticked his more anxiety-ridden tendencies into overdrive, but he could hardly focus on them. He was too busy watching you flit around behind the counter.
“So,” You began, activating your quirk and beginning your process. “Why so few feathers? Get roughed up?”
Keigo chuckled, flexing what feathers he did have left for emphasis, “Basically. I have to give them a few days to regrow. A couple nasty days in a row means a couple days recovery.”
You hummed, turning to the espresso machine. Before pouring the shot, you gave him a little smile with the cutest quirk in your lips, “I’m sure you more than deserve the rest.”
Oh, that made his proverbial dick swell.
Someone, a very nice, stranger barista, angel, telling him he deserved something kind? And, there wasn’t an edge of dishonesty in you. If anything, there was an earnestness in your quirk-blackened eyes that made Keigo nearly scared of the amount of vulnerability you gave him so freely.
He wondered if you showed that to all of your patrons.
(You didn’t.)
You turned behind the counter, quirk activated and swirling. The familiar blending of your senses made your teeth ache and head burn with the overabundance of stimuli, but you worked through it. You reached through the external sensations to manifest your idea and feeling into a conceivable reality.
You dumped any number of syrups and shots into the cup, placing it (and a lid) on the counter in front of Hawks. Warm smells of cardamom and cinnamon tickled both of your noses as you nodded down, “Let that cool for a sec, then give it a taste. I need a comprehensive review.”
Hawks plucked off one of his gloves, taking the steaming cup in his hand, looking down at the foam. His gaze flickered around the two of you, noting that the few civilians and coworkers once surrounding him had left you two with a small bit of privacy.
“What’s the inspiration for this one?” Hawks gave you a downright sweet, knowing look.
“Take a sip and guess,” You nodded down to the cup again, idly going to wipe down the counters with a rag slung in your apron.
Hawks blew on steaming liquid, throwing back his head to take a decently sized sip. You had to tear your gaze from the bob of his throat.
  Keep it in your pants.
While you were suppressing being horny for the number two hero, Keigo was suppressing being horny for a fucking beverage.
The flavor hit his tongue and throat and danced. It was warm, like the last one, spilling hearth-like heat into his chest and extremities. But, this drink tasted literally spiced, like it had some sort of pepper in it (according to Keigo’s untrained, pitiful palette). His wings ruffled, feathers rustling and twitching with the taste of the drink. Despite the heat flooding his body, the hairs on his arms and the back of his neck rose as waves of subtle pleasure rolled through Keigo’s body.
He placed the cup back on the counter, staring you down with incredulity.
You, cutely cheeky as ever, just smiled and crossed your arms over your chest, “Are you a fan?”
“It’s... spicy. How. Why. Is this even coffee?” Hawks asked. Despite his questioning, he took another sip, shuddering at the comforting heat it gave him.
“There’s coffee in it, or, espresso,” You couldn’t help feeling a bit smitten with the way Hawks looked at you. Disbelief wasn’t an expression you saw many heroes wear, especially not one with a reputation like Hawks’s. Yet, there he was, in front of you, staring at his cup like you just served him battery acid and grass.
“If that’s the case, gimme the rundown, angel,” Hawks peeled off his other glove, setting the pair on the counter. He surprised you as he shrugged off his lined jacket, plopping down in a nearby stool.
You hadn’t ever really seen this much of Hawks, not in his hero uniform anyways. Plenty of him was available for viewing due to his various modeling ventures, but seeing him in the flesh was far better. The black shirt of his hero costume stretched over the lean, sculpted muscles of his arms. He certainly wasn’t built in the same way other top heroes were, but from what you could see (read: drool over), Hawks certainly wasn’t lacking—
“See something you like?” Hawks raised an eyebrow while taking another sip,  devilish curl to his lips.
You really wished you had the bodily control to stop the red flush that grew on your face.
“SO —!” You laughed, diverting back to the drink at hand. “The drink.”
“Wonderful deflection,” Hawks set the cup down, still smirking. “So, the drink .”
Your fingers tapped at the countertop, living your blush down with a lack of eye contact.
He gets stared at all the time, chill out.
Dude probably likes it, (Y/N).
“The drink is a dirty chai, with some editions, of course.” You jerked your head back to the wall of tea blends, the familiar ebbing away from of your embarrassment. “We have a couple of different chai blends that I make in house. Several different chai concentrates too.”
“Forgive me, but a dirty chai?” Hawks teased.
“Wow, weak jab there, Hawks, ” You rolled your eyes. Hawks just continued to beam at you, swinging his legs behind the counter. “I gave you an oatmilk,  ginger chai with three shots of espresso and a few other secret touches. I wanted to make it warm again for you.”
Keigo paused at your admission, (not-so) secretly reveling in your poorly contained embarrassment. Perhaps it was a bit cruel, but his job did carry some wonderful perks and he’d be damned to not enjoy them.
“It feels like a different kind of warm, compared to last time,” Keigo took another taste to confirm. The spiced liquid flooded his palette again, skin pleasantly prickling at the taste.
You hummed, refusing to fully make eye contact with Hawks.
Truthfully, you spent an embarrassing amount of time since the night prior thinking about potential sensations to emulate for Hawks. You were never sure of what type of vibe he would request, but having an arsenal of ideas made you feel more prepared to impress your new clientele.
“I made it feel like dawn,” You replied, nodding to out of the fully-windowed front of the tea shop. The district you were located in was lit up by the golds and pinks of the early morning, stretching and awakening with the new day. “I wanted it to feel like how morning sun feels on your bare skin. All like... tingly, you know? Like... seeing someone you haven't seen in a long time. ”
Keigo immediately noticed your bashfulness after you gave your description. In the same way as last time, the vulnerability of your manifested feelings left you warm and shy for him.
You picked at a loose string on your apron, gaze directed down and away.  With his obscured view of your face, he could see the way you softly bit your lip, eyes occasionally raking him up and down and that retreating. Keigo could feel your pounding heart and slow, deep breaths.
...
Keigo was whipped and he hardly knew you. He was so fucked.
You were too fucking cute. It was fucking illegal. It had to be.
Keigo had been with sexy. He’d been with unattainable. He’d been with women and men who looked like they were crafted by gods as tempters and devils. It was all pleasure and Keigo knew it like the back of his hand. He got hedonistic bliss when he wanted it and he did so very, very well.
What Keigo was entirely unfamiliar with was the gooey, fluttery feeling in his chest as you finally looked up at him to smile and nod to the drink, “So, what do you think?”
Keigo’s brain fizzled, rendered into goo. If he didn’t have years of interpersonal training, he was sure he wouldn’t have been able to speak with his own revelations. Luckily, he was able to laugh off his internal stickiness, taking another greedy sip.
“Absolutely flawless, wonderful craftsmanship, (Y/N),” Keigo bowed his head dramatically.
You giggled at Keigo’s drama, missing the way how his cheeks lit up for you.
Hawks dug in his pocket, pulling out a huge wad of bills and started to slide it across the counter, “This is a tip. All for you.”
You stared, horrified at the amount of money Hawks passed to you like it was nothing. Without thinking, you placed your hand on top of his, stopping his motion. Both of you stiffened pleasantly at the sudden, small contact.
“That’s too much, Hawks, no,” You shook your head, but Hawks was a stubborn, insistent bastard.
His wings fluffed up behind him, a feather moving quickly between your hands and pushing your up and away.
“What the fuck.” You half-groaned. Hawks fully passed the money across the counter, hiding his hands and feathers in his lap with a Panish smirk stretched across his face.
“Take it, or I tattle on you, easy trade,” Hawks shrugged, leaning his elbows on the counter and drinking deeply. He pulled away from his beverage with a relaxed-looking smile as you remained fluster.
(Holy fuck, you touched Hawks’s bare hand and it was so NICE—)
You could feel the eyes of your coworkers, staring at the money like some Olympic medal. You were well-aware that there was no way Hawks was taking back his money and you knew your coworkers would be too scared to ask for a cut.
You gulped, taking the cash and tucking it into your apron pocket.
“You don’t need to bribe me to make you nice drinks, Hawks, it’s literally my job,” You told him gently.
Hawks raised an eyebrow, shrugging, “Accept it as a little treat on the side. A gift of my appreciation.”
You couldn’t argue with that, so you relented with a smile, shaking your head.
And the two of your dissolved into easy conversation. Hawks told you about the most recent gigs he had been a part of. A modeling contract for a new skincare company and a sponsorship with a few other local heroes for a sports beverage were the most interesting. You were sure he was just humoring you, unable to tell you the nitty-gritty details of his life. Yet, he seemed happy to speak and listen besides. He chattered away, in the way birds do, sing-song, and free-flowing.
Hawks was hardly a bird of prey, you realized. He was much more of a cockatoo type.
You told him more about the tea shop, about your role and job. As you explained about the basics of different types of tea, you could literally see the far off way Hawks looked at you. It wasn’t of distraction, like spacing out, no. It was a look that hadn’t been directed at you in some time. You silently and quickly studied it and came to the nerve-wracking conclusion that the cute blush on his cheeks and half-lidded eyes and relaxed shoulders was fucking captivation, borderline adoration.
For.
You.
How the fuck were you supposed to deal with that?
(Keigo wasn’t sure either.)
Luckily, neither of you planned on doing anything to stop your mutually budding feelings.

Dreaming
. . . .
A/N: It's been a while. I'm so tired but I needed to read/write something new. To see Jack Sloane again. And my self indulgent brain came up with this.
Sum:- When dreaming becomes too real.
. . . .
The smile that was spread across your lips was completely wiped away when you opened your eyes. There was nothing wrong with the day, it was Saturday, the weekend, it was a good day but your dream was a hundred times better.
It was still only seconds after the fairytale dream you were just experiencing. The detail was so real that when you rolled your head on your pillow and opened your eyes, you were expecting her to be there. She was there moments ago, why wasn't she there now? Your mind had painted her perfectly beside you, in your bed, in the morning light, peacefully sleeping beside you.
Usually the dreams were more edgey and naughtier than a simple morning daydream but this wasn't simple at all. This was bliss. The heartfelt feeling of waking up beside the person you loved most in this world, moments before they woke to see you smiling back at them. Your brain decided to wake you up seconds after your love opened her eyes and then yours shot open. To the real world.
The world where they person you love doesn't know anything about your feelings. They barely know you look at them twice when they walk by or smile whenever they walk into the room. At least you thought they didn't. She walked into your space every morning and your whole world felt right. It was such an overwhelming feeling that sometimes you felt wrong for feeling it but then she smiled at you and that thought faded away.
You pushed the dream and feeling away as you stretched under your sheets. Today you were meeting her at the markets, your usual weekend catch up away from work and grocery shop. You'd buy fresh veg and fruit at the markets then grab a coffee and treat with her before going your seperate ways for the weekend. The thought of seeing her brought back that ache you woke up with. You couldn't keep this up much longer. One day you'd slip up, mention something that happened in your dreams because it felt so real and she'd run away, scared. She didn't scare easily but this would definitely make her turn and run.
Morning, I'm up.
With the morning text sent, you still had the dream still at the forefront of your mind, you got up and hopped in the shower. There was no point pushing it away, it would stick around like all of them do. There was a beep from your phone as you dried yourself with a towel.
On my way, J
You smiled at the initial. She always did it even though she was saved into your phone from day one. Your friend mentioned she never signed off like that with her messages but it was just a letter after all. It seemed silly to you that a simple letter in a text message could mean something more but your brain liked to hang onto that as well.
The minutes passed by like hours as you got ready and collected everything you needed. You checked your front window too many times just in case she rocked up before she messaged you. She always messaged just as she pulled up so you knew.
"You look cute today." She greeted you with a bright smile as you slipped into her Mini Cooper.
There was no hiding the blush that coloured your cheeks. "Thank you. You look beautiful like always." You laughed trying to play off the massive compliment you usually don't let slip.
"Why thank you, I'd like to say I put some effort in this morning but I overslept and had to hurry to get here on time." She explained, pulling away from the curb.
You frowned, there had never been a set time. It was whenever you had both woken up that whomever was ready first would text to see if the other was coming. "You don't have to rush, it's our weekend, there's no schedule."
She thought about her words for a beat. "Yeah but the earlier I get up, the earlier I get to see... The bestest vegetables the farmers have to offer." She forced her classic cheeky smile so you would hopefully ignore the pause in her words.
You couldn't ignore the pause in her words. There was no way you could but you skipped over it in conversation. You continued on about what you were after this weekend, plans of meals you were planning on cooking. There was relief in her posture, her shoulders rolled back and your brain noted this.
She had been dancing around her words lately, if you were really being honest with yourself. You tried not to get your hopes up too high with it but she was pausing in her sentences more around you. Picking and rearranging her words. Like she was going to go down one road at the fork but skipped to the other at the last second. Eleanor had pointed it out on more than one occasion, thankfully when Jack had left, but you pushed it away as nothing.
The morning stroll through the market was peaceful, hardly anything off topic apart from what was right in front of you. She stuck to the topic at hand which wasn't unusual but usually you'd be onto other topics by now. It was like she was staying in safe territory or you were overthinking this completely.
She brushed by you as you were picking up some fruits, her fingers brushed yours, the touch sending sparks up your arm. You watched her flinch, her eyes darting to yours before, "I'm sorry, there wasn't-"
"Jack, there's nothing to apologize for. You've grabbed my hand on several occasions, bumped me more than that, why are you sorry now?"
"You're right. Wasn't thinking." She forced a smile and you heart slightly dulled. She walked away far too quickly for you to gage her reaction. Something was definitely off with her today.
You walked around the market in mostly silence after that, only saying which stalls you wanted to pop into and then once the shopping was done you walked side by side up to the last coffee stand at the end of the market.
"Two large black coffee's with three sugars." She slipped her card to the barista before you could fight her to pay.
You took a deep breath and touched the tips of your pointer and index finger to her palm. This silence was killing you and you needed to get her attention. You were testing how to start the conversation by the way she reacted to your touch.
"Hey, what?" She spun around ready to fight whoever touched her and you held in a laugh. "Was that you?" She half glared with a curl to her lips.
You nodded, "You've been ignoring me since the incident in the fruit stand."
She rolled her eyes at the word incident. "Dramatic much."
"Says the woman who's been keeping at least a metre radius of me and hasn't said more than five words to me since. What's up Jack?" You were far too cheery at the end of that question, like it wouldn't change the dynamic of your relationship henceforth.
The barista called her name so you guessed she'd use that as a distraction. She handed you, your coffee before she added even more sugar to hers. You laughed the first time you saw her do this, asked why she didn't ask the barista to do it for her but she couldn't handle the baristas judgement. You didn't believe it but let it slide. It was probably that the barista refused to tarnish good coffee with the sugar content she needed.
"The way you looked at me this morning, the way you look at me almost every morning. It sets something on fire with in me." She slipped her coffee like a can of worms hadn't just been unleashed and started walking. You didn't a double take and skipped to catch up. "You called me beautiful like it was the most natural thing in the world when-"
"It is, you are." You whispered, hiding behind your coffee cup as she stared at you. You were half expecting a sass for cutting her off but she did this shy shale of her head with a smile you hadn't seen before. Was she shy?
"There you go again. These feelings I have, I've had for a while... I don't want to ruin our.." She stopped at the bonnet of her car, placing her bag of food on the hood and you did the same.
This was all happening so fast. This wasn't how you imagined it going, you really hadn't imagined it going at all. This never happened, you never got to this point in your daydreams.
"Friendship?" She said it so hesitantly it made you laugh and for that you got a shove. "Say something - other than I'm beautiful."
"I'm glad you agree." You jumped out of the way of the next shove and took a sip to hide your massive grin.
"Smart ass. I've said a lot of feelings right now. You're making me nervous."
You take a step forward, placing your empty cup beside your bag and take hers from her hand. Slowly, giving her time to step away, you take her hands and hold them between you. "I had a dream this morning." The smile you had from your dream comes back, the feeling of bliss, comfort and love. You couldn't believe you are going to say what you thought you never would. "I was lying in bed..."
"Very imaginative." She holds your hands tighter so you can't break your hold and playfully shove her.
You just laugh and shale your head. "Nah those dreams are off limits." You wink and she throws her head back with a loud laugh.
"I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours." She gives you the mischievous grin you love.
Oh how you wanted to know hers. "I'm about to if you'd let me finish." She scrunches her lips shut to make a point. "Much better. As I was saying. I was lying in bed, I opened my eyes to a new day. The sun was shining into my bedroom, I rolled my head to the side and I was filled with pure bliss and a grounding I'd never felt before. There was this beautiful, stunning woman to my right. She was still asleep, hair tossed from a good night sleep and a small smile on her lips." You think you see tears in her eyes or maybe they're in yours. "That woman is you Jack. I woke up and the world came crashing around me, that I don't have that reality but I still smiled knowing I get to see you today and almost everyday at work." You pause and now you know you're the one crying because her hand slips out of yours and it comes up to wipe the tears from your cheeks.
"That's the most pure, heartfelt thing someone has ever said to me." She smiled, that smile you saw in your dream as her eyes fluttered open and saw you. Your heart skipped a beat. "I want that. All of it, with you." She learnt forward, hesitating a second before her lips met yours in the softest touch you'd ever felt. You weren't sure she was kissing you until the air in your lungs disappeared.
"Bit forward don't you think?" She was too confused, her brows furrowed as she pulled away. "To have you in my bed. Thought we'd have dinner first." You winked and her confusion disappeared and quickly became frustration. Something, you guessed, that would happen alot over the next week, months, years.
"Think your smart ass can handle lunch? I'm not ready to say goodbye just yet." She slipped her hand back into yours.
You smiled, leaning forward placing a more confident kiss to her lips before answering. "Think I can manage that." You beamed, getting another kiss in reply. This was going to be fun.
